i got six cards! her parents got quite the bit to say, this post includes channeling (hence why i only answer this question two days after you asked me this)

long reading ahead!

the emperor. wheel of fortune. the empress. five of cups. death. the star.

with the emperor, they look at him as a very masculine man. it seems that her parents are the traditional type, hence why the religious background came up in a previous reading. they've always looked at their daughter like a princess the moment she was born and they believe that she deserves someone to treat her like one. jk is wealthy, successful, influential, well-known, and in the upper class. this reassures them that he can support her in everything as she needs and won't have to worry about the bills. a strong man who's the breadwinner of the household and takes care of his wife is what they desire for her and he fits the standard.

with the empress, they connect him with the idea of "venus." literally heard her dad saying "he's a pretty boy" but still acknowledges that jk is extremely handsome and good looking while her mom acknowledges that too and looks at him like "a gentleman" after they had a full conversation. her mom could see the love in his eyes for their daughter as it is extremely obvious. its that whole theory where a person is so good looking, you'd assume they're a good person (this is the halo effect, not an opinion or fact, just a theory).

however, with death and the wheel of fortune, they aren't too sure. they are delighted that she found someone that matches her energy and suits her. this is also think of jungkook as a lucky and almost "god-given" gift for their daughter, where they will also have bragging rights at cocktail parties but...they don't think they will last (on first impression, later on they know they will commit). they think he may not have enough time for her because he is an extremely busy man and that he might just be "another lesson" in her life.

they know that she needs someone to be there for her even though she acts like she doesn't. his tattoos and his handsome face throws them off a little too, there was a vision of when he first enters their home, her dad says something like "he looks like a player/an f-boy" in their ethnic language (which doesn't sound like korean) and her mom hits his shoulder and is like "be nice, you know she likes him a lot."

short answer for the five of cups, just like their daughter, her parents are really good at reading people. give them one conversation with you and they will most likely know what you ate on tuesday (exaggerating but you know what i mean). they could see that he looks like "a loner" (I DID NOT SAY THIS, they did, not me lol). very smiley and happy but looks like he's very lonely and been through a lot.

they think of him as the type to regret a lot of things and push people away when they are upset but they just hope that he doesn't do the same with their daughter so they're unsure of his mental capability of being in a relationship with their daughter. they don't think he's ready even though he's a grown ass man.

despite all of these things, with the star, they can't help but feel hopeful. this is the first time that she's been this open with them when it comes to bringing them someone to meet and they acknowledge that she's serious about jk and wants to be with him.

although it seems likely in their eyes that the outcome may not be the best, they see how they match each other extremely well and made for each other as if "they were adam and eve." they think that if they somehow work it out, they'd be so happy and have a long and forever-lasting relationship, they have nothing against him. they're all for him.

So I started this study like a year ago and its about the possible placements your fs can have.i kept doing it for a while and then i thought about how juno,bride,groom,dsc PC's would be much better to guess the fs chart.

By studying his bpc and his NC I have a few guesses about his fs' possible placements/dominants.

1.she IS definitely having strong cancer placements.(no explanation needed)

2.it can also be that she may have strong 4h placements OR can be moon dominant.(if not the 1st guess then this)

3.mars in 10h or cap mars or mars in a cap degree.(guaranteed success)

4.leo placements or degrees or prominent 5h placements.(creativity,childlike,fame,etc)

5.sun in 10h or sun at leo/cap degree.(same as 3 and 4 guess)

6.pluto-venus aspects,Venus/lilith/pluto in 8h/1h.(magnetism,envy,jealousy,obsession,inference,rich spouse)

7.virgo rising or its degrees on asc.(she's blunt and a bit sharp)

8.gemini Venus or venus in Gemini degrees.(this venus sign is compatible with libra venus and he has geminivenusin bpc too also talking about her having venus-pluto aspects this sign kinda suits it)

9.Sun/moon/saturn aspects.(daddy issues)

10.jupiter in 2h,4h or 11h.(rich family background,big communities, finances and luxuries)

11.this one is random but i see her with a leo mc or an Aries mc OR mc in those degrees.the possible risings with these mc's could be cancer,leo,Libra,scorpio.

12.the above 4 rising signs make the most sense to me.when it comes to his fs I imagine someone soft but sharp.she MAY have these rising signs with virgo degrees.

On his chart, I saw placements that indicates 1-2 to 5 years of difference max? She is not that young compared to him. She LOOKS very young, but she isn't, this is what I see! The cancer placements are always very tricky lmao! And if people keep saying they'll be together in 2027 (JK's Saturn return, he will be 29) so 19 if ten years of difference???? idk that seems odd to me, I don't sense it. The Twin Terrors

Two out of my five headcanon calliope kids, along with some of their traits and background! And some crumbs on the other siblings as well if you squint. (Special thanks to @kuroneko1815 who heard me out on my rant about them lol)

Callisto was ecstatic when he saw that the twins’ hair color was the same as Penelope’s; he insisted that the eye color complimented their pretty hair color.

Just like their mother, the siblings have a love for expensive things, especially rubies and emeralds, (blame their father, Callisto covered them in emerald jewelry since they were literal babies).

Growing up, Dante will start to resemble his father more and more, while Eden will take after Penelope with looks.

The twins wear ‘coordinated’ earrings. Dante’s earring has a star, that he wears on his left ear, while Eden has a moon earring on her right ear.

The gold earrings were actually Callisto’s and Penelope’s, but when the twins were born, the married couple immediately knew the earrings would suit the children better. It was a toss on who’d get the star, and who the moon, but in the end with Judy’s and Kayden’s help, they settled for the current arrangement.

Turns out the choice suits the twins nicely since Dante is more outgoing, therefore ‘as bright as a star,’ while Eden can be more secluded, which alludes to the different phases of the moon.

They also have ‘complementary’ moles of sorts. The position of the moles actually defined the placement of the earrings, Dante has a mole under his left eye, and Eden has one underneath her right eye.

Dante is the only one out of the two that has always had dimples, however growing up, only the dimple on the left side remained. The dimples come from Callisto and his mother (whom I decided to call Eleanor), whom had dimples on both sides, while Callisto has only one on his left side.

Dante is the oldest of the two, and takes every chance he gets to rub it in Eden’s face, which consequentially gets him whacked on the head.

They show their love by beating each other up, it’s just how they are.

Chaotic middle children.

Walking potty mouths. The ‘no cussing rule’ only worked on Judith and the baby of the family, Rigel. Kayden can and will curse, however he chooses not to, he has more ‘fancy ways’ of insulting people, but Dante and Eden are the foul-mouthed duo of the family. Sometimes Callisto’s crude language pales in comparison to the twins’ appalling choice of words. The only time they don’t curse at all is in front of Penelope, mom is a scary being that should not be angered in any way.

Stick together like glue, where one goes, the other follows.

They will get angry if someone assumes they like the same things, aka the dumb stereotypes that always follow twins.

Once at a party hosted by a noble, someone tried to serve a meal that had a big amount of peppers in it to Dante just because Eden likes peppers; Dante ended up grabbing that servant by the collar of his uniform and threatening him, because he has a strong dislike for raw peppers after he got sick as a child after eating some. The only thing that stopped the servant from getting sucked punched was Judith’s interception of the whole thing.

People refer to them as ‘The Terrors’ because personality wise, they’re basically copy and paste of Callisto’s more brutal tendencies. (Reynold was the one that started referring to them as that, however he means it in a playful and teasing manner, he loves the two gremlins to death).

Literally the karma of shitty people, because despite all of this, the twins only go after the bad and questionable ones.

The two of them aren’t mean, in fact they’re very nice, kind and playful once you get to know them. A good example of the people present on Eden and Dante’s hit list are the ones exactly like Gloria Kellen and her fetch dogs, aka the bullies.

The twins are the equivalent of ‘the hot cheeto girls’ when it comes to defending someone from bullies.

Out of the two, Dante is the more volatile one. He’s the one that picks fights the most out of the five Regulus siblings. The altercations are usually put to rest by Kayden, and when his older brother isn’t there to stop him, Judy will try to placate Dante.

Dante is very irritable when it comes to people he doesn’t like, and won’t hesitate to call someone out on their bs.

He gravitates more towards swordsmanship, and has a collection of all kinds of swords, which are his pride and joy. Some of them he forged himself overtime with the help of his father; you can find any type of sword you can think of in that collection, from normal ones to magical and very powerful ones, to ancient sword relics.

Dante combines magic and swordsmanship, and has this one special attack of ‘flying swords,’ it helps that some of his swords are somewhat sentient thanks to the magic he imbedded into them with Penelope’s help.

Oftentimes he can be found training with Kayden and Callisto, who teaches them everything he knows.

On the other hand, Eden is the more ‘docile’ of the two. People usually would rather deal with Eden than with Dante because they deem her more well-mannered, when in reality they should watch out when it comes to her.

Eden is actually more of a ‘behind the scenes’ kind of girl. Cross her and she’ll dig up any and every information on you in under an hour. Give her 20-40 minutes and she’ll have your entire life’s events at hand.

She’s the blackmail girly, and has her own special ways of making people talk when she needs/wants something, ways that actually don’t include any sort of harm, at least not physical.

Eden is in fact, a telepath, who also makes use of telekinesis. I’m talking about literally eradicating trees and yeeting them at someone if she’s testy enough, all of that without breaking a sweat. She could be sipping tea while controlling random objects to do all the work for her.

All of the Regulus kids have an inkling for music, and each has their own designated instrument. Judith plays the piano; Kayden has his cello; for his brash nature, no one would expect Dante of all people to play the violin, but he does, and he’s pretty much a prodigy when it comes to that; Eden has her beloved harp and lyre; Rigel plays the flute, and later on, he also picks up on how to play the guitar.

Speaking of talents and hobbies, Eden can be found very often in the kitchens trying out some of her recipes. The kitchen staff are some of her favorite people.

The Head Chef is always the first who tries her dishes, (yes he’s the test subject), this man has went through food poisoning because of little Eden’s very dubious deserts, yet he’s still the first who offers to try out her weird concoctions. He’s pleased to see her improvement as she grows, the Head Chef is basically an adoptive uncle at this point.

Judith and Callisto are the ones who get the finished, improved and actually edible result to try out firsthand. They have no idea Eden gave the Head Chef food poisoning a few times, and are giddy with the fact that they are the first to try her dishes, ignorance is bliss after all and Eden couldn’t agree more, she doesn’t have the heart to tell them the truth.

Penelope knows of this and has tried quite a few times to coerce the Head Chef out of his ‘test subject’ occupation, however he insisted on it, and Penelope settled on designating a special doctor for the poor man. However, she does find amusing Callisto’s and Judith’s giddiness whenever they boast about being the first to get to try Eden’s food.

here to say thank you for understanding the characters the way as they should be, so many misinterpret them horribly and take them at their face value or will straight up make up a headcanon and then trick themselves into thinking thats what the character is(yang being the biggest one that gets mischaracterized so much and so badly). you actually go through each characters heads while considering canon material and fune tooth combing each and every scene and piece of information for them

i try my best lol. i'm sure i get stuff 'wrong' (i.e. not necessarily what the writers themselves were going for) every now and then, such is life when we all come from different backgrounds and have different life experiences that mold us, but nothing is more fun than putting myself in specific character's shoes and really digging in to see what makes them tick, how their backstories inform their actions, both past and present, and so on and so on.

i think a common stumbling block—besides headcanons taking priority, which frankly is a package deal with fandom in general—is the though that if you like a character, they must be good, and if you dislike a character, they must be bad, which leads to all their actions being painted in same light, nuance be damned. people want nuanced and flawed characters as long as it suits them; the moment it doesn't, all that gets thrown out the window while still claiming that nuance is everything—just don't point out that the character they like might actually be *GASP* flawed, or that character they dislike might actually not be Pure Evil™, and everything is fine.

(people relating to characters probably also plays a part here; any pointed flaw towards a character they like is seen as an attack against them, etc.)

yang to me is a fascinating case, because, well. people often point towards jaune as the character most often bastardized by fandom, and i completely get that, but what i've also found is that these jaune fans often just. stay on their lane, doing their own thing, which is very easy to ignore if you so please. with yang, though, i've seen people getting upset at other fans for taking an official description of yang into account when portraying her in artwork or fics and straight up claiming that the very obvious canon trait of yang's is either a) never really been a thing (it has very much been a thing since day 1), or b) a made-up fanon thing, and it's like

if you don't like it, take it up with rooster teeth??? why get mad at other fans for characterizing yang as she is in canon??? makes no sense lmao

anyway, not that i need them to stop; the most appreciation i've gained towards characters has been solely because i've seen takes about them that immediately, without ever having thought about these characters that deeply before, make me go "that's bullshit" and then dig through canon to make myself understand why my instinct was that strong—and often finding new things that i had never considered before. it's a win-win situation for me skdgkjhkfh

I think Elves--learned, wise, and immortal as majority of them are-- would not be blindsided by this particular feature of the female human body. Male elves who are open-minded enough to enter into a romantic relationship with a human female would also have already done their "research" on the differences between Elven and Human physiology. Canonically, Elves do not take falling in love lightly; they enter serious relationships with the intention of forming a marital bond, which means they will have considered the possibility of having children with their beloved mortals. In their attempt to learn how that might work, they will surely learn about the wonder known as a woman's "period".

Here are my headcanons of how male Elves would react to periods, using two of the more popular LOTR elves who are also very different from each other in background, skills, and personality:

Thranduil

His initial reaction: Horrified and slightly disgusted. It will take him a bit of time to adjust to the idea of this bodily function, but when he learns that it is vital to procreation, he will appreciate its role in bringing new life. He will still view it as rather barbaric and inconvenient, but then again, so many aspects of being mortal are. He loves you in spite of all that, and sees human fragility as part of what makes your life so precious.

How he will try to help:

Thranduil is used to having power and control, so he will be very frustrated that he cannot really DO anything to eliminate your pain. He will insist on bringing in the best healers at his disposal to ease your symptoms, but eventually he will realize and accept that the best strategy is to support and distract.

Every month, expect to be showered with exotic food, lavish gifts, and endless affection; anything your heart desires that might make the time of the month better for you. If he has to take an entire week away from his duties to whisk you away to a quiet, remote place where he can simply hold you in bed, he will.

"He will do all that every month?!" you might ask. You, his beloved, are mortal; the total amount of time devoted to serving you during your period is very much the equivalent of a blink of an eye to him. Your time together is far too limited and priceless for him to just watch you suffer without giving his best effort to make it go away.

Patience is not not his strong-suit, so your hormone-driven mood swings could potentially irritate him, and arguments and heated spats could arise. On the bright side, Thranduil is also very good at making up.

Elrond

His initial reaction: Curious and sympathetic. As a very wise, learned healer with experience treating health conditions of members of all races, he would not even be too shocked or alarmed by the discovery of a woman's cycle. His first instinct would be to learn as much about it as he can, so he can fully understand the implications on your health and your relationship.

How he will try to help:

Elrond will try to both science and magic his way through it at first. He will throw in a great deal of effort learning everything he can about your specific symptoms and the ways they can be eased through all the healing abilities and resources he commands. It is always a privilege to be treated by the best healer in all of Middle-earth, but more so for something quite trivial!

Methods of providing comfort would include skilled massages, luxurious baths (together, if you prefer), and daylong cuddles in bed. Elrond would the last elf to be bothered by blood, in any form, so even nsfw options would not be off the table for him if it would help you in any way.

Once standard healing methods are exhausted, he will then insist on just having you rest and relax, and will provide everything you need to achieve that. But he will let you decide. If going for a long, tiring walk is what will help distract you, he will simply ask to accompany you.

His compassion and understanding of the mortal condition means he will also prioritize your emotional well-being. He will stay patient and understanding throughout your irritable periods, and may attempt to assuage your foul moods by entertaining you with music and gentle humor.

☸ Gale would be a great match for your Tav, Nixie! He’s always excited to learn more about the world, especially about lands, cultures, and magics from far away. He’d love nothing more than for Nixie to regal him with all the tales of her and her crew’s grand adventures on the high seas. 

Gale has made it very clear that to him, the most important thing in a partner is personality and commitment, not looks. He’s not against dating a tiefling, or a halfling, or even a mind flayer! On that note, Tara adores Nixie, for getting Gale to finally come out of his shell. Although the tressym may have a habit of making a passive-aggressive comment or two about the pair finally “settling down” lol. 

Knowing that she wants to avoid scurvy, Gale takes it upon himself to find all the recipes he can that include lemon or orange, promising to make them for her. He loves cooking and is more than happy to adjust his ingredient list to suit her needs. 

The both of them are constantly in pursuit of something more, something greater- a trait they admire in one another. They encourage each other in the best of ways, all while understanding that even though they're committed to one another, they’re committed to their unique goals as well. 

Overall the two of them work great together! Their goals in life and love align just perfectly! Thanks to Nixie’s travels and Gale’s teaching, they become one of the best-known couples in Baldur’s Gate. Bards and poets alike write songs and prose dedicated to their relationship. It’s very safe to say they’re basically couple goals. 

❂ Karlach would also make a good match for Nixie! She’s just as loud and adventurous and always down for a good time. Plus, Karlach is a tiefling as well, so she gets the discrimination that can come with the horns and tail. 

Karlach and Nixie together are like the life of the party! They’re both so compassionate, even though their lives haven’t always been easy. Karalch admires Nixie so much for her rebellious spirit, choosing to free the slaves on slave ships she and her crew come across. Karlach herself was a slave once, and she would have given anything for someone like Nixie to come and rescue her before she was dragged to Avernus. 

A date between the two of them involves A LOT of rum drinking. And singing. And karaoke. (Do they have karaoke in DnD? Well, whatever, they do now!) 

So long as Karlach’s infernal engine gets fixed, I could see her enjoying a life spent mostly on the high seas. She’d love feeling like part of a crew/family and getting to stay by Nixie’s side. Just promise to keep the rum stocked for the journey, throw in a pirate’s hat, and Karalch’s on board!

The two of them are a fierce couple. They become well known as renegades, especially amongst other tieflings. In fact, they sort of become tiefling legends- being hailed as heroes for freeing many of their people from slave ships and never being afraid to punch a racist in the nose. 

With the two of them together, there’s nothing they can’t face!

So, I've been trying to make an overview of the Steph's Crew sequels for you... but it has been taking forever. I did not know how COMPLICATED this story was while I was setting it all up lol.

But yeah. In the meantime, how about I show you some cool stuff?

Character Names + Meanings (for the main cast of UVC):

Stephanie:

The name "Stephanie" has Greek origins, deriving from "Stephanos," meaning "crown" or "garland."

This is a good name for a main protagonist - could indicate her central role within the story, especially regarding the mystery and investigation.

Ben:

"Ben" is often a short form of "Benjamin" or "Benedict," (it's the latter in this case), and both mean the same thing - "son of the right hand" or "blessed."

This name could suggest a significant role in the life of other characters, like Stephanie.

Also indicates what a genuinely kind, good person he is, especially in contrast with some of the other folks in this story lol. Like his wife.

Dylan:

Daisy Sommer (Connor's lecturer):

Gordon is the opposite of "stability" lol. But he has kind of a strong presence in the story (though I will say, since there's soooo much going on in the story, he probably hasn't got that strong of a presence lol), and in Rachel's story especially.

Charlie:

"Charlie" is often a short form of "Charles," which means "free man."

This name showcases Charlie's sense of freedom or independence. Which... in the first book, there was a specific part where Elise said that was a similar reason why she fell for Bret... his freedom, his desire to live for himself and not conform to what others want from him. All that to say, the girl's got a type.

Mary:

"Mary" is another Biblical name (woohoo!) of Hebrew origin, meaning "beloved" or "bitter."

Could also be a reference to the Mary in the Bible... Mother of Jesus (as well as this pure, good and dutiful woman who always does what God asks of her. Blessed and highly favoured. Mary Johnson isn't perfect by any means, but she's known for being the "good" twin, and she is also academically gifted)

Everybody loves Mary. And she can be rather bitter at times, I suppose. This definition fits well, too! (Oh, and, no spoilers or anything, but Mary in the sequel goes through a lot... it's sad what happens to her)

Angel (Charlie's cousin):

"Angel" is a word often associated with heaven, divine messengers or goodness.

In the story, this character may symbolise a positive influence or aid.

This girl is honestly not important until like halfway through... when the summer formal plot comes in. She couldn't find herself a date, so Bret agreed to go with her (not for the best of reasons... but still a nice gesture from him). They don't end up together or anything (they don't even go together in the end), but in the short time they spend together, she leaves a huge impact on him. Some people just have that effect on others, you know?

yeas :3 I'll do some for both but mostly douglas if that's alright!! 2nd half for douglas + harper hcs below the cut bc this got a bit long I have Many Thoughts on Douglas . lil warning for references to the whole skrendel thing for douglas and mentions of harper's military past but all in passing and whatnot . nothing super angsty or explicit just going over stuff. All of that is below the cut tho

he/him. bicurious/questioning and a little shy about it, but it's more of an open secret than anything. He is slowly realizing he likes guys a lot more than he likes women and he's unsure how to feel about it

Space is very pro lgbt it's very much normal for them bc there's all these different species and civilizations. why would any of them be cisheteronormative lol?? But really he's more embarrassed about actually feeling strong attraction and realizing he's a mushier person than he'd like to think. if that makes sense. like "oh no i am giggling like a schoolgirl over this guy what do i fucking do"

In general he doesn't like being seen as a vulnerable person, both physically and mentally. The idea of being in love for real is a little daunting to him...

I'd say he'd probably eventually land on bi or pan tho? Just with a heavy male/masc/etc lean.

From a moon with seas on it, think a less icy Europa! Currently lives on Port Terrene or a nearby territory.

His species is a delicacy for some alien races, mainly those living on the moon but he was basically fair game for anyone in that solar system so he booked it by sneaking onto a commercial spaceship to safety. Living in the background and slimy underbellies lead him to be where he is now.

He thinks that this is kind of funny by the way he has totally taken some of the higher ups to a restaurant that serves his kind to either stare them down for the whole meal or insist they order it and then wait in the bathroom so they think he straight up got cooked

Pretty physically fragile. PT's conditions are similar enough to his home moon in terms of gravity and whatnot that he's doing alright but he needs the suit to thrive there and survive on many other planets. That and he's very vulnerable to physical damage out of his suit. So, the suit is mainly for protection and an advantage in combat but there's also the advantage of hiding what he actually looks like-- useful for his line of work, deceiving others, and not letting most know he's a squishy lil guy.

Does not like the cold. He will languish… please…

Amphibious, can spend time out of the water but needs to be moist to breathe + thrive. Suit mists him down too.

In general the suit is pretty well coded and whatnot... engineering masterpiece... it's like a little mini mech kind of in my mind.

Would kill to pilot a huge ass mech some day btw. Douglas needs a huge ass mech.

Garmantuous, Nipulon, and probably Giblets have seen him out of his suit or otherwise know/have been told abt it. That and whoever of the Skrendel Bros he had that little tryst with. or not. idk.

Everyone else? A good deal of people mainly those in the crime syndicates have seen him without his helmet or been able to kind of see his face through it but I'm under the assumption that only some folks know he's a straight up octopus. Assuming this since Kenny didn't know and it took Gus some time to recognize him/he had to figure it out first so ig that means most folk (Including Rel and Krubis) don't really know !!

As for how the whole delicacy thing. ig that's like. other side of the galactic community. niche shtuff.

While he's generally an asshole and cruel to those beneath him, when it comes to the other officers of the G3 he's generally friendly (by Douglas standards tho). Still it's very 50/50. Total wildcard, does whatever entertains him. Prone to mischief, trickery, and dragging others along in his antics, sober or not. Will be your pal one day and your worst enemy the next. Workplace warfare game is peak I'll tell you that much

He does a good job at worming his way outta trouble. He's a clever lil guy pretty damn resourceful. People don't give him enough credit bc for all the lack of impulse control he shows he's smart and slick enough to un-fuck up the situation if need be.

Honestly I think it was Jonathan. Makes the most sense to me in my mind. The two are pretty much still just friends but Jonny boy kind of wishes there was more there now. Douglas doesn't, all that much. The other brothers know and Angela has probably pulled Douglas aside to beg "for the love of all that's holy let him down gently"

Mona was more like "If I so much as see a tear in my brother's eye you're calamari"

But they're all still pals. I guess. Everyone has their ups and downs? They still like getting up to mayhem when their paths cross and Jonathan is pretty friendly with Douglas still even if the other two are pretty... not all that ok abt the whole thing. the bros get protective.

Weirded out by Giblets but is honestly much too entertained by how pathetic he is to tell him to fuck off. He just tries to up the "what the fuck" factor when he can. On the other hand Giblets is very terrified yet very enthralled w/ Douglas. He is an enigma to the dr....

Things are also weird with Krubis. They kind of totally hate each other but it kind of makes them good friends. Above all else Douglas reminds Krubis of himself when he was younger so he kind of. Gets It and wants to keep a closer eye on him

like. they would get along so well but so awfully as well. there's no way krubis isn't jealous that Douglas has a better job and manages to keep it despite all the bullshit. There's no way they haven't been screwed over by Douglas once or twice by being caught in the crossfire of all the stuff he does. And I think Douglas is fickle with some of his workplace alliances some days he’ll take Krubis’s side others he’ll take Giblets he’s just like that for the goofs. Krubis gets pissed off w/ him a lot but I think they are low-key on the same wavelength. idk if that makes sense i'll probably draw or write it out in detail some day soon... hm...

Garm is Tired of Him. Nipulon is consistently disappointed and somehow also surprised with the crazy shit Douglas gets up to but does appreciate when Douglas comes around and does something competent by his standards. Gurgula found him annoying but is just. whatever.

Not always the best at reading the room.

A pretty optimistic person actually. Assumes best case scenario often. Even if his idea of the best case scenario involves killing people he doesn't like it's fine he's just a little guy

He can change colors somewhat, mostly at the tip of his tentacles. It's a signifier of health and emotion. There's a lot of patterns of flickering for communication and whatnot. They curl and deepen in color to denote distress, for example. And he's usually a pretty bright blue unless he's sick.

If he would be added , I'm curious if they would redesign him to be more unique, in Sing 2 he looked like any other tiger character in the movie, considering he has the same models as the tiger background, and considering that the main cast have unique models that differentiate them from the other background characters that are the same animals as them.

I wonder what would his redesign would look like to make him more unique that removes him from the background but also relates to him as a part of the cast.

What do you think his design would be if he was added?

Ryan does actually have a unique model! His stripe pattern and eye color is completely unique to him, as well as his build being slightly different. Which is why the tiger we see at the auditions is Ryan in my opinion, as legit every other tiger has the same stripes besides that one (who we actually never see audition so might just be there as a represenative).

We only see two other tigers in the movies (that I could find) and while their stripe patterns aren't the same, they are more similar to each other than Ryan. Ryan has a distinct flame shaped stripe on his left cheek. And while the other two's stripes are similar, that's because bengal tigers do have those type stripes on their cheeks.

And finally, there's my boy Ryan:

They are distinct from the other stripe patterns we've seen, no longer sickle shaped but flame shaped on the left cheek.

And while it is compressed in the auditions photo. you can see the blobs that would likely look like the other flame branches if he had higher pixelation in this frame (he's tiny and in the background).

And the other two tigers we see, though not in the best pixelation or lighting, seem to have dark colored eyes, while Ryan's are very noticeably green, and likely a shade between olive and sage green judging by how it changes in the various lightings. Even in the auditions, that tiger has a lighter coloured iris.

And as for builds, we'll use a handy dandy chart!

As for the other two, we actually see two different builds for them too. While Ryan is an inverted triangle (mesomorph), which is also Johnny's too for reference, the other tigers do seem to be rectangular in build (to be fair they are in loose clothing and that is my perspective of it but this also would align more with actual tigers too). They also differ from endomorphs and ectomorphs as well.

Ok now on to the redesign. The reason Ryan looks more like a background character despite his unique model is his clothing imo. Whenever we see him, he's either in a uniform (the leotard and leggings), or very plain, nondescript clothing (the costume underclothes and the suit).

So, we can fix this by giving him a new outfit! Which is amazing because otherwise we would have to change the entire model and that would take forever lol.

Almost all the teen/younger characters wear jeans in the movies (the exceptions are the eldest two, Nooshy and Ash) and Ryan does seem to be at least close to Johnny's age so he joins the jean club. Now adding cuffed light wash jeans to his outfit.

Second, Ryan gives off strong perfectionist vibes. You don't become a principal (or at least high up) dancer at a company like the one we see him in as young as he likely is without an ambitious and perfectionist streak a mile wide. So we're gonna go with something that codes that to the audience (aka yes, somewhat stereotypical clothing for that cliche), a dark green sweatshirt over a white button up. This type of aesthetic is also not used by any of the main cast so far and the dark green accent will highlight his eye color, making it stand out more and further giving him a unique look.

And for accessories, which please let's give these kids jewelry, I typically describe Ryan as having two double lobe earrings, with one being a long simple gold one and another that is either a rainbow heart or a gold stud. I also give him a jade and gold necklace (which is tiger shaped in the continuation fic) and have him wear dark green sneakers for more green accents. You can also add in a brown or black belt if you want so he can tuck in the sweatshirt and shirt, but those don't necessarily have to be showing.

So, yeah, that's how I would change Ryan's design to make him fit more in with the rest of the main cast! I really hope we do see more of Ryan, though I am not sold on the idea of a third movie, so I'm pretty sure I'd prefer to see him in shorts lol. ok so some fun facts, jeno basically built this house for her when they grew older 😭 i’m talking like 24-27. seeing as though he has a strong background in architecture and engineering, he knows about all this stuff and idk he just had a lot of input in the building of the house and he designed everything. it’s so sweet :( jeno worked his ass off in so many jobs at one time just to be able to do this

yn had no clue this was happening. it was genuinely a surprise and he had it hidden for so many years, imagine the reaction when she found out?? safe to say she was crying to him all night long in their new and beautiful room in their new house 😭 they both work incredibly hard, have good jobs and worked their asses off in education and their grown up jobs so it’s safe to say they deserve and have earned this luxurious house. also since yn didn’t know about it, jeno did design the layout and most of the interior, he knows what his girl likes :) he designed it for her, her style and her color schemes, his style is different but he honestly didn’t care. he wanted to do this for her, he’s so endlessly in love with her and just wanted to do this for the love of his life :( he wanted to build her a home that she loved and that they could grow up in its so fucking cute

let me start off with they’re rich rich like they’re both hard working so i imagine their house to reflect that

i’ll start off with their shared bedroom.

it’s very minimalist, very blue color scheme that they both vibe with. this is really the only room that doesn't scream 'girly' because it's also his room and idk i just think it makes sense to have their shared master bedroom like this

they have a very luxurious en suite

they have the best view, jeno knows that yn is a sucker for views and pretty scenes so you’ll see that around their house. the neighbourhood they’re in is filled with nature and pretty sights

they tend to people watch from their view in their shared bedroom and it’s so mf cute. yn will be standing in front of the window and jeno will come up behind her, back hug, so close to her (kinda same vibe as the ending of mfal) and he will kiss her cheek so softly and whisper sweet things into her ear 🥹

they also have those windows that people from outside can’t look into so you bet jeno has her pushed up against the windows screaming his name more times than none ;)

yns ‘girly room’

he built yn her dream room 🥹 it’s a girly and pink room, she’s just a girl. it has all her cute skincare and her vanity and her makeup like you might not think it but she loves this type of stuff!! she’s a whore for it, her and retail therapy go hand in hand and jeno knows that and made sure to give her a room that it just her, a room where she can wind down in. he put the most effort and thought into this room, he wanted it to be perfect for her. it also has her book shelf!! and her cute reading sofa. it’s her safe haven. it’s a good place for her to chill in when she needs to get away and when she feels anxiety and that’s exactly why jeno made it for her :(

it’s kinda a private room for yn lol like she likes to keep it away and keep it to herself because it’s just the biggest gift jeno has ever given her (the entire house is duh)

but she loves to chill with jeno in here 🥹 they’ve had their softest sex moments in here

as well as their rough sex!! hell yeah. this is the room where yn keeps her lingerie lmao

I would love to give you some backstory! (Also, if any of my TMFU folks are reading this and know where to stream it in the UK, please chime in!)

The good news is that for a lot of my AUs you probably don't need a huge amount of the background to appreciate the dynamic. It's a pretty classic enemies to friends to lovers setup, with the added bonus that (in the movie) they are actually true enemies rather than just people who dislike each other haha. I am going to put the rest of this behind a cut—no major spoilers for the movie, but it's gonna get long lol. So if anyone else also wants a character rundown + some important stuff about their dynamic so they can dive into some of my other fics, here's your primer!

Ok, so character rundown:

Napoleon Solo: aka "Cowboy," aka "The CIA's finest", formerly a top tier art thief who no one could catch, until he finally tripped up and got arrested. The CIA plucked him out of prison to work for them, and his handler still treats him like criminal dirt. Enjoys fancy cooking, classic yet fashionable suits, is utterly charming, a massive flirt, supposed to be the 'womanizer' but consistently shows a refreshing respect for women (especially given the James Bond comparison).

Illya Kuryakin: aka "Peril", aka "The youngest person to join the KGB", a giant (6'5"), inhumanly strong, super hostile and gruff exterior, surprisingly bad liar, polite king to little old ladies, actually softer than a marshmallow on the inside. His father was a Soviet official who got thrown in the gulag when he was a kid for embezzlement, forcing his mother into a kind of prostitution to survive. Probably resulting from that trauma, he suffers from dissociative episodes when he gets extremely upset in which he does things like trashes hotel rooms (his hands shake when he feels one coming on). Manipulated by his handler with threats of being sent to the gulag like his father. Favors turtlenecks and simple outfits, also a fashion snob. Extremely attached to his father's watch, which he wears.

Gaby Teller: aka "Chop Shop Girl", East German auto mechanic who's father was a nuclear scientist pulled out of Germany by the Americans during the war, leaving her behind as a kid. No-nonsense, prefers slacks when dressing herself, sometimes plays mother to our bickering boys. Possible alcohol problems.

Alexander Waverly: British Naval Intelligence, ultimately organizing the operation, a bit of an asshole but in a charming way, keeps together the team at the end as UNCLE (independent spy organization).

Victoria Vinciguerra: The evil mastermind. Napoleon sleeps with her at one point to save the operation, later she drugs him and leaves him to be tortured. Very tall, very fashionable.

Also other minor character you may come across in AUs: Oleg (Illya's KGB handler), Sanders (Napoleon's CIA handler), Alexander Vinciguerra (Victoria's husband), Rudi Teller (Gaby's Nazi uncle).

The main thrust of the movie is that Napoleon and Illya are both sent to East Berlin to try to extract Gaby for their own purposes, only to learn that they will actually be force to work as a team to take down the bad guys. They actively try to kill each other in not just their first but also second meeting. There's a scene where they argue over fashion while buying Gaby a new wardrobe that is *chef's kiss*. Extreme levels of banter and snark in every interaction. BUT, as these things go, they gain a grudging respect for each other. Napoleon saves Illya's life, Illya saves Napoleon's life. They work together as a team exceptionally well. By the end, they are trading extremely fond insults. There are moments of self-sacrificial plays to save a teammate you're not even supposed to like, gift giving, betraying your principles/agency for the other person. There is a canonical will-they-won't they between Illya and Gaby during the movie (one of the reasons another major ship in this fandom is an ot3 between them), but nothing actually happens.

I think that basically sums up their dynamic and gives you the backstory you'd need for the AUs especially. For the post-canon ones it's a little tricker since I'd rather not give away the main twist of the movie, BUT a lot of them are kind of "in the future working as a team already" setup that don't really reference movie events, so you'd honestly probably be fine there too.

ohh fun question!

michael as a teenager is pretty standard teenage angst. he's rebellious, outspoken, doesn't like being told what to do, etc. ever since his siblings were born he feels like he's neglected by his mom and dad which is why he takes out his anger on his brother and causes the bite to happen. which kind of makes things even worse cause william starts straight up giving him the cold shoulder (i wont talk about william's thoughts here or else this might become a william-centric post LMFAO). post-bite michael kind of mellows out but there's a lot of respressed anger in him still, and also the trauma of killing his brother never really gets addressed. so he's pretty cynical, still rebellious but less outwardly so. putting the rest under the cut again

so in my AU, the crying child's name is evan. and not just because it's commonly accepted by fandom but also because elizabeth's name also starts with an E, so the two of them have E names but michael's starts with an M. to me it signifies that michael is the outlier out of the afton kids, the one that william favors the least (particularly notable after the bite)

evan haunts fredbear! i haven't thought too much on it so it's subject to change, but i think i like the two souls sharing fredbear theory. so he's also haunting the suit with cassidy too.

as for the five missing kids, so far i've got the strongest ideas for bonnie (jeremy!). my idea is that he's actually brothers with jeremy fitzgerald, and fitzgerald is the bonnie bully in the fnaf 4 cutscene (in my mind). you see where i'm going with this. i think william specifically targeted this kid because of that and sees it as an act of revenge. (i'll probably rename him so it isn't so confusing lmao)

still working on backgrounds for the other missing kids but chica (susie) already kind of has one in canon. her dog is dead (i hc william hit it while drunk driving lol) and william tells her that her dog is Alive, actually, to lead her to the back room. actually i think she has a family in one of the fazbear frights stories but i haven't read it so i can't comment on it

i can try to give a quick rundown of what i think their personalities were! gabriel (freddy): i actually picture him being kind of like henry. quiet and reserved but very capable of being in a leadership role and strong-willed. jeremy (bonnie): bit harder to think of this one's personality. for now i'll go with sassy(?) but also kind of a jokester. likes to make people laugh. quick-witted and smart susie (chica): bubbly and cheerful, likes to make friends with everyone. somewhat naive fritz (foxy): adventurous, carefree, excitable. enjoys rushing headfirst into potentially dangerous situations cassidy (golden freddy/fredbear): the type of kid who's not afraid to challenge authority and ask questions. gets along great with other kids and often the preferred leader. very smart, also retained more of her personality than the other kids post-possession of the animatronics.

Krill had never not been afraid, but this time he wasn’t alone.

Dr. Katie sat across  from him, long dark hair spilling down onto her scrubs, large brown eyes wide with shock made even wider by the lenses of her glasses.  She may have been a doctor, but she could have easily fit the human  movie trope of- unreasonably attractive librarian.

“You aren’t serious.” She said 

Krill nodded , outside the room, and down the hall, he could hear the sound of running feet and tromping boots battering at the floor of the Empyrean. Waylayed on their trip, once again, the Empyrean had taken a detour at the Europe colonies within the Jovian system.  Pockets of void resistance fighters had made the system a hell in space, and Adam had been unable to pass up the request for help levied on him by the governor of Io.

“I can’t just do that, not without permission….”

“Permission from who?”

Katie stammered, paused, bit her lip and then tried again, “From …. Adam.”

“Not his decision.”

She wrung her hands, “But krill, you, if you die-”

“If I die, you are more than capable of taking my place .” 

He didn’t miss the incredulous and skeptical eyebrow raise that she leveled at  him, it was an expression that could only truly have the full effect when used by a human.

There are 42 muscles in the human face, two eyes with visible white sclera and eyebrows upon the eyebrow ridges, which, while they help to keep sweat out of the eyes, also helped to harness the full effect of the human nonverbal communication . The entirety of the human face was designed for communication , and over the past few years Krill had come to read expressions with the same unconscious know-how of any human .

He reached on one small, frail hand and placed it over her strong, human one. Despite the skeptical eyebrow, he could see the fear in her face too, the tightening around the corners of her mouth, the hardness of her jaw, the set of her lips into a thin line against her pale skin.

“I am tired  of feeling useless.”

Katie shook her head, “But Krill that’s stupid. You-”

“Yes yes, best surgeon in the galaxy. What would we do without you, how could we go on etc etc. Katie, there are plenty of great doctors in the world, but very few of them who can harness Anima power.” He continued to pat her hand, “I am tired of hiding in the background while my friends go off to die in glorious battle. I hate having to watch it and I will tolerate it no longer

She looked at him with a pained expression, “I don’t think I could live with myself…. If I killed you.”

“Than Don’t/”

Krill’s words had not been comforting. The little doctor that tried his best of course, and the fact that he was placing his life in her hands was, well it was certainly the greatest compliment he could have given, but even so.

No pressure.

She was being asked to fill the shoes of the greatest surgeon who had probably ever lived. Four arms and four separate cortical hemispheres, not to mention the ability to float which was sort of handy when it came to operating. Krill’s Vrul body was almost meant for the surgical suite. 

But her….

Well she had only two clumsy human arms and only two cortical hemispheres of which neither could operate independently, and even if they were separated, like they occasionally were in extreme cases of epilepsy , only one hemisphere of her brain was capable of speech.

Not exactly stellar .

Compared to Krill's brilliant mind, her brain was like the slow kid eating paste in the corner while he did rapid physics computations on the chalkboard, there was simply no comparison, and still somehow, she was here standing as the orderlies helped her to dress in the sterile gown.

She held her hands before her face, newly gloved and ready.  Someone held a surgical gown in front of her, and she stepped into it waiting patiently as they tied it down in back. All her hair was pulled back into a tight bun and tucked up under a hairnet. As far as surgeries went, it was both the least invasive and most invasive form of brain surgery possible.

The risk of infection was low, and the incision would be microscopic, however cutting someone’s soul out of their head is probably the definition of invasive if one were to look up the word in Webster’s dictionary .

“You ready?”

She turned her head  Catching a set of inhuman eyes staring back at her from behind a hairnet and mask. Celex cocked one technicolor eyebrow at her. The face he had picked for himself was a good representation of his personality, looking every bit the emperor he used to be with a hawkish nose, sharp eyes and neatly trimmed beard. It was a look she happened to find annoyingly handsome, despite Celex’s choice to take on the form of a man in his late thirties rather than youthful twenties.

But she supposed anyone would look good if they could take on any form they chose. 

“No.” She said bluntly.

Behind Celex Conn floated gently past ribbons tied back and braided into neat rows to keep from getting in the way. They should be out with Adam right now, helping to clean up the Jovian system, but krill had either bullied or cajoled both of them into being here, without Adam knowing about it . Then again it probably hadn’t taken much to cajole either of them.

Both Celex and Conn had similar personalities in that way.

Not giving a damn was a pretty big part of both of them.

Despite her earlier answer, when the surgical doors opened, she stepped inside with a purpose, opening to a room with a waiting surgical staff, and Krill’s tiny body lying in wait for her on the operating chair. He looked so frail from here, a tangle of stick thin limbs she could have snapped over her knee if she half wanted .

In a way this surgery would be harder than any Krill had had to perform, since it would be on a subject who  died more easily than any human. Brain surgery wasn’t something they tended to perform on many other species other than humans. If she messed something up, it might not matter if Krill had anima power because in all likelihood he would spend the rest of his days in a vegetative state drooling everywhere.

She tried to shut off those thoughts, which certainly weren’t doing her any good.

She took a deep breath and stepped forward, two telepaths flanking her on either sde. 

She didn’t have telepathic abilities herself, and had no desire to gain them in the future, but she would need their help to guide her to the source of Krill’s anima and all of the extra tethers she would need to sever.

Conn positioned himself around behind Krill, and Celex stood behind her resting one heavy, gloved hand on her shoulder, “Ready/” He asked again

This time she nodded, and she felt as Celex shifted bringing his hands to rest on the back of her neck and head. The sensation was like a chain of lightning bursting through her body, electrifying her limbs and brain. She struggled to orient herself for a moment, confused at the new sensation that lapped inside her mind.

It was a strange feeling to say the least, like if your arm had been numb for your entire life, and all of a sudden sensation came flooding back.

She could sense her brain now, her own mind like a physical space, and Celex with her, his thoughts lapping around through her head like warm, rolling eddies of water in a shallow sea.

Through him she could sense a tether to Conn, whose mind was alien and strange, but not difficult to understand.

And she knew where to go.

She couldn’t have said it was easy. It took all her concentration just to stay on task, to keep her hands moving at the microscopic levels required to perform the surgery. On many occasions her focus began to fade a bit, bolstered only by the slow  pressure of the emperor’s mind pressing against her own .  Even so she was glad to have him, because when the ache in her feet rose up, he tamped it back down, curtailing her awareness to this signal moment.

Cutting away what held Krill in place.

The further she went the harder it got, until  the last few strands were left in place.

She cut one,

Then another.

Just one more left, just had to position correctly. Her hands faltered, second guessed. Celex did his best to steady her, and in a moment of clarity she cut, praying that it wouldn’t be too much.

The slice came, and in a moment she knew she had taken off more than intended. She watched the thread holding Krill in place, fray, like it was going to break, and listened to the sound of the machines going haywire.

She had killed him.

And then the room erupted into light, and she was thrown backwards  slamming hard into Celex’s chest and sending them both to the floor some feet away. Somewhere in the fall he wrapped his arms around her chest, so when they did hit the floor, she was relatively cushioned.

She lay there stunned and in shock as her eyes burned and tried to recalibrate.

Her surgical lenses had fallen off and her vision was blurry when it finally came back into focus.

Krill’s body lay silent and listless on the table, unmoving.

All the lights had gone out, but still the room was lit like noon day, from a glowing ball of energy hovering at the center of the room. As she watched the ball of energy began to churn and contort, forcing itself slowly into shape as the light died away.

And as it did, her eyes went wide

Adam felt it when it came, a sudden psychic blast of energy that rocked through the entire empyrean just moments after stepping off the shuttle. He was tired, exhausted from a day’s work  dealing with cultists, but that sudden rush of power had him up and alert in seconds. 

He tossed his SE helmet to one of the shuttle officers, and turned towards the docking lieutenant, “What the hell was that.”

The look on the man’s face was pretty clear, he had no idea.

Beside him, Sunny  straightened herself from the back of the shuttle  faceplate on her armor sliding back,  “did the Void breach us ”

“I don’t know.” He said, and together they started up the hall. He didn’t like the idea of the void breaking onto his ship while he was away. Together, he, Sunny, and a few other marines charged up the hallway after the origin of the explosion. It took them a few minutes to make their way through the massive ship racing down hallways and corridors in a mad dash. 

They weren’t far away from the medical wing  now. Adam skidded around the last corner, feet flailing on the floor, and only had just enough time to register the brief image of a man, tan russet skin, reddish hair, thin, not very tall,  holding krill’s limp body under one arm, stark raving naked, and with a look of absolute rage on his face. 

But that was all he got before the naked man drew back his fist and coldcoked him across the jaw so hard he went down seeing stars and little cartoon birds.
