I cant believe Owl House is ending in two days ;-; I’m excited and sad and all sorts of things. Sad becuase its ending and its such a great show, BUT at the same time excited because, I want to see how the story ends! Dont we all with a story? Hopefully it has a happy ending. I mean theyve done very well despite being cancelled, theyve made the most of the time they had rather than gave up? I respect that, same with Infinity Train. They did the best they could in time they had, rather than “Ah slap any old thing together who cares.” I found Cage of eden and the Unfortunate events books dissapionting this way.

I always hoped I would finish this, but yknow how it goes sometimes. THIS is a Owl House “Little Mermaid Au”.

Luz is a mermaid princess, but, despite her royalty, people still mock her and see her as a piece that doesent fit. Other kids openly tease and call her “Luzer”, and even the advisors and royal court dont approve of her, she doesnet behave much less how a PRINCESS should.

King is her “Flounder” :) Her best friend and eager helper in her adventures and curiosties. But Queen Camilla grows worried over how Luz behaves and, decides to send her away to perhaps a sort of boarding school to teach her to be, better? Much like sending her to camp in the cartoon, or even Luca’s parents sending him to another part of the sea?(That part made me think of a young boy being sent to a monastary).

Meaning well but, nevertheless hurting her daughter... If, nobody wants her, not even her Mother, then, Luz feels maybe she should just dissapear? Run away?

The night she runs away she runs into Eda, the sea witch. Sea witches arent evil in this world, but people do assume so or look there nose down at them? There happy to go to them for spells and stuff but see them as lesser beings, second class citizens.

If the kid wants to run away, she ought to try the human world! Thats the place, the most fun, so much to explore. Eda still goes there, collectign objects, mingling amongst the humans... So, she takes Luz in, she has a shack on the land. She can switch her and Kings tails for legs easy!

Much like King Triton Camilla is fretful when Luz goes missing, blaming herself for her daughter running away.

Other characters to make an appearence will of course be Willow and Gus, and in there case, instead of admiring humans, its mermaids? Its so exciting to meet one!

Amity is a princess in this version, and very unhappy one at that. Under a lot of pressure from her mother, not able to be herself, more a pretty little wind up doll that is meant to do what shes told... But starts to break away from that, when meeting Luz. They start to fall in love, happiness. I think Hunter would be Amity’s guard? Luz is also in a spot of danger. MERMAIDS are held in high regard, as trophys. Possessing such a creature like a fish in a tank in your home is a great status symbol. If Odalia had any idea Luz was a mermaid she’d lock her up in there palace. Amity is naturally worried for her girlfriends safety.

Aight, you left this nice and vauge, so Im gonna go over the basics (which might still get long we'll see)

Firstly, Stella: She's my OG blorbo. We love a vampire babe. She died when she was 17, she had leukemia. Her brother couldn't stand the thought of her dying, so he broke her out of the hospital and took her to a coven of vampires. Her transformation was violent and she doesn't remember any of it. She woke up in an alley covered in blood with no memory, and her family has no idea what happened to her. She does get horrible dreams of the night her brother took her from the hospital, and they always end with her waking up from intense phantom pain. So fun so edgy. She's a loner, she's mean to everyone because she wants to stay isolated, but she's secretly a softy. So when she sees a teenager hudled in the rain on the street late at night, she takes him in.

Enter Elliot: He's my sweet baby boy, and I love to make him cry. He can see ghosts, like literally. Almost ghost whisperer sytle, but ghosts rarely interact with him. He saw his first ghost at his sister's funeral, at which point he was distracted and really couldn't care. Then the next year his dad died, and he ran away, because he's convinced he's cursed. He jumped on a bus, hoping to runaway to Hollywood, but he ended up in Seattle with no money, following a random stranger home. Then he slept on her couch for so many nights he ended up becoming roomates with a vampire. Stella would never admit it, but she has a huge soft spot for him, and Elliot somehow sees past her cold facade. They are comfy cozy found family, and I'm so normal about it I promise.

There's also Zack: Elliot's childhood best friend and love interest. He's known Elliot since they were 5, and had a crush on him since they were in middle school. He loves puzzles, games, and he runs a FNAF theory blog. So when his best friend up and dissapeared without a word, his response of course was to track him down clear on the other side of the country. He was not prepared however, to find out that Elliot has secret ghost powers, is living with a vampire, and that magic is real.

Also the twins: Forest and Sky. They're human (mostly), but their mother owns a store for magic clientel. The front is your typical corner store, the back is like if a 7-eleven got freaky with every YA fantasy novel ever. They're both practicing magicians, perfectly capable of spells and potions. Sky is fun and energetic. She's outgoing and loves to get into mischief. When she was 7, she made a deal with a loteral demon, and now her right eye can literally see into the future. Forest is much more shy and toned down, prefering to follow rules and avoid attention from others. He went fully deaf at a young age, and prefers to speak using ASL, so he's literally more soft spoken than his sister. He does however have a hidden sassy streak and can be just as mischievous as Sky when he wants to.

I could keep going, but Ill keep the others short. I have Oliver, who's Stella’s older brother. After taking her to the vampires and losing her anyways, he became a vampire hunter under the assumption she died. Naomi, a vampire who works at the shop with Sky and Forest. She's a fruit bat, so instead of drinking blood she eats a metric fuckton of fruit. And lastly Mariana. She's an ancient forest nymph who owns a flowershop. She absolutely HATES Stella, and by the wonders of fate, she offers Zack a job and her extra room when he shows up looking for Elliot. That's right, I've got not one, but TWO boys who unknowingly stumble into being roommates with supernatural beings!

Yes this is the basics, yes I can go more in depth on any of them, Cooper you asked for this and I love you for it.

Some fun facts because this is my post and I wanna:

Elliot has a sweet tooth and loves carrot cake and obscenely sugary starbucks drinks

Zack is trans, and Elliot helped him pick out his name.

Sky and Forest are homeschooled and they want to form a band when they're older. (Sky on vocals and bass, Forest plays drums)

Stella adores octopi and wanted to be a marine biologist when she was alive.

Mari lived in Spain for the first hundred years of her life, she and Zack often speak spanish with eachother.

Naomi retained most of her memory after becoming a vampire, unlike Stella, however her turning is very fuzzy. All she remembers is being bitten by a woman with long white hair, which saved her from a stab wound after being mugged. She's madly in love with this woman and wants to find her so badly.

Forest has a huge crush on Elliot. Zack also has a huge crush on Elliot. Elliot is a sweet boy and everyone has a huge crush on him. Naturally Elliot is oblivious af and would combust if he noticed.

Ahahaha glad to see this make a comeback! I think the original t-posing post with the dorm leaders still remains one of my most popular posts which I really didn´t expect when I was writing it! I remember just suddenly having this crack idea while at work and I kept thinking about it the entire day to the point I felt like I just needed to write and share it with you guys!

I was very pleasantly surprised when I saw how much people seemed to enjoy that post! It was also a lot of fun to write honestly :D

Is this some kind of human custom he should be familiar with? Because he really doesn´t understand what you are doing and he just gets more nervous the longer you stare at him so full of intensity and expectations. Just how is he supposed to respond to this? Amir has never seen anything like this before, not on his short time on earth and certainly not high up in the skies when he was still residing with the other gods

Is this what is going to expose them as not being human? Will their incapability of properly responding to this no doubt important gesture be their undoing? Are you going to be disgusted with them once you find out that they have lied to you all this time about being a human just like you to get closer to you? Are you going to abandon him? His heart breaks at the very thought and he feels like his entire world is about to end right this moment, you can even see him physically shaking from his fear to the point you would grow very concerned

Amir really is having an entire existential crisis because you t-posed in front of him, take responsibility!

“Is everything okay?” You would most certainly ask after he reacted so strongly to what was only supposed to be a joke

With tears threatening to spill from their eyes, Amir shouts at you with desperation in his voice : “I-I´m so so sorry but.... I don´t understand what you´re doing or how to respond!”

There, he said it. Their chest heaves as they watch you in painful anticipation but then to their shock you... start laughing. There was no disgust or shock on your face, just amusement.

And really, who could blame you for finding all of this ridiculously funny? You tried meme-ing and t-posed in front of Amir as a joke and he apparently took it so seriously! Really you felt a bit guilty with how distraught they looked for not getting the joke but you just couldn´t help yourself, this reaction was better than anything you could have imagined

Wiping away the tears from the corner of your eye you chuckle one last time before deciding to finally enlighten him.

“ There´s really no reason to take this so seriously! It´s just a joke! I´m t-posing in front of you to assert my dominance!”

Congrats, you just turned Amir in a stuttering and blushing mess! At once, all of his fears dissapeared and were instead replacing with a fluttering in his chest as your words were processed in his mind.

You.... were trying to assert your dominance? You weren´t mad at him? Just the implications alone made them swoon tbh

They would gladly let you boss them around if you so wished, they are yours to use and take control of! They want nothing more than to bring you joy and happiness, it has become their entire purpose after they came down from heaven so please, they´re willing to do anything for you!

Of course you´re also more than free to touch and kiss them however you like! Any sort of affection from you makes Amir almost short-circuit from all the overwhelming love he feels for you but he would never want you to stop with it either because he just loves any sort of attention you pay to him!

i've never listened to Friends At The Table (though it's on my list now, dnd campaigns podcast wooo!) what would the storyline of the crossover entail? with the HermitCraft characters i'm guessing it's chaotic and interesting 😊

:0!!!! :DDD!!!!!!! if u end up giving it a shot i hope u enjoy it! they dont actually play dnd, they play a bunch of other tabletop games which are all really neat also! (also if u need a suggestion for where to start if/when u get to it, feel free to drop me an ask)

the story follows the typical structure of "group is sent off to do tasks for money, and eventually realise something bigger is going on" so i am largely following the plot in that way, where groups of adventurers are sent out to investigate a series of towers that appear to have some connection to the gods of the world. ajhsjjejhfhjef most of my thoughts about the au are more character based,, so instead of a proper plot summary i can give details and thoughts on where some of the hermits fit into everything so far (while. trying to avoid the big twists revealed in the podcast ig,,?) i also ended up including some sleepybees (sbi + beeduo) in the au but im still not 100% sure on where they fit in (as in i have too many ideas djhdkndnj)

ANYWAY uhhhh some spoilers for the universe im basing this off of, under the cut cos it got long :'D

context/setting:

the specific arc/universe that this au is set in is the one from Seasons in Hieron (SiH) which is their fantasy season! (its. its long,, this arc spans i think. 3 seasons? plus a short interlude season)

the setting was previously a traditional fantasy world that had some sort of great catastrophe (the Erasure) happen, and the current world is after people have rebuilt a new society! its described as "post-fantasy, post-post-apocalyptic" its very fun and subversive and afhdjfbj the worldbuilding is just. real good :>

characters:

im still figuring out where different hermits fit into the au but i am basically taking aspects of various characters from the podcast and splitting roles and traits to hermits, so its all mixed up! also,, there are just. so many hermits,, i have not found places for all of them (not even most of them i dont think) but here is what i have so far:

impulse and zedaph work in the New Archives (a series of huge warehouse-like archives run by the orcs of this world!) impulse is an orc, zed is not! impulse works to retrieve artifacts for the archive, and zed,, hes just kinda there. learning and experimenting with pattern magic (a type of magic done by arranging and rearranging things in specific configurations, often they are obscure and weird things like "27 brown birds in a tree, 5 table legs, 500 buttons, 16 steps to the east" etc.) when the story finds them they are studying a fallen tower in the center of the Mark of the Erasure (a location still showing the effect of the great cataclysm that befell the world)

tango vaguely takes the role of Ephraim, prince of something or rather,,, idk man hes cool and has fire powers, very anime. his powers were a gift from the gods, and he goes on to hv close relations w them! he meets up with impulse and zed later on and become fast friends obviously

joe is an expert in pattern magic, and is on the run from the archives after having stolen a pretty nondescript notebook. its a nice notebook! hes just a human guy. he writes and recites poetry in order to do pattern magic using the notebook!

cleo hails from the city of *Nacre*, where people get multiple chances at life. people from there can get killed but will exist on as zombies, then if they are killed again, they exist as ghosts, and then they pass away fully. she is an undead pirate captain that joe somehow manages to sway over to their side ahjbhfbjf,, she is hunting down the lost prince/king of Nacre.

wels is a pala-din (pal-ah-deen, rather than paladin), a sort of living marble statue that serves one of the gods in the pantheon.

scar is ofc, a wizard! it. it should be noted that wizards dont really exist in this world, people who perform and study magic are mages, not wizards,, "wizard" is kind of a weird term to use sjbdbjhfjjhb scar takes place of The Great Fantasmo in the podcast, and similarly has an invisible assistant! he doesnt seem to remember much of his past...

cubfan works in Velas, a fishing town where the story "begins" he does not enjoy talking to scar, and seems to be sad whenever hes around. perhaps scar reminds him of someone, or perhaps of better times...

tfc hes a priest aagsuijdjhkdgjdkihwhjvd i swear theres a reason for this later,, the role of the npc alyosha is somewhat split between tfc and cub!

others i have thoughts on but im not settled on yet:

im debating having xisuma as part of the pantheon, but if not, he would be a druid so he can shapeshift into animals sjbakjnsnfjb he would take the general role of Fero in the story, but would also be kind of split with evil x, who captures... a certain stubbornness and deepset frustration Fero has in later times.

etho could take the place of Samol, the first god to exist. he is the embodiment of this world, and is kind of isolated and strange wbhshjhbdbhjdjbdkjn,, strange /pos. hes also. kind of dissapearing though... i wonder why :)

while theoratically i could have xisuma as samol cos. yknow. admin. i think the vibes and role just fit etho better

and... if i had etho as samol i think it could be fun to have doc and bdubs as other members of the pantheon, if u go with their dynamic from the start of s7 they even fit the divorced couple vibe two of the gods have /lh /hj (nho pantheon pog..? maybe. theres a total of 5 deities in the pantheon tho...)

im leaning toward either false + stress or maybe gem + pearl pairs for two of the goddesses in the pantheon, but thatd probably depend on if i can find a better place for them ;P

techno and phil take the role of red jack, and techno is a Huge Oni Dude >:] in canon red jack has a cool horse!!! it fits!! hes also. heavily implied to be kinda immortal?? anyway. im torn on this because techno and phil ALSO fit the roles of some of the player characters, with relation to the missing prince/king of Nacre but im still working things out,,

no matter whats up with them, ranboo takes the role of bluejay, redjacks son, meeting up with tubbo and tommy who take the place of benjamin, the son of one of the player characters. tubbo and tommy kind of. get sent to another dimension to keep them safe,,? and live in a lie for many years before they are brought back.

when i first thought about this au, i also thought about the whole. sending child off into fake dimension to live life, and of course. i thought about. grumbot ofc and originally planned to have mumbo or grian take the place of that player character abhdfvnbrvbn but it also implies one or both of them would be paladins (not pala-din! just the normal religious knight) AND have connections to tubbo and tommy which is. funny but ehhhh idk.

He dropped out of a nest on top of a tree under which the girl was resting. He was a little hatchling then, not more than 2 weeks old, the smell of chocolate cookie brought him to such a brave act. Mer was too small to fly back up ot the nest, also Oracle hadn’t noticed that he’s an eagle untill about a month after he joined her on the adventure, and moved on right after giving him the rest of her cookie, making the smol birdie confused as he was never that far away form his nest and decided to stick to her. Mostly because she still got more cookies to feed him. He’s a little grumpy, but he helps her getting around on her travels. He loves chocolate cookies, corn, and ice minties. He’s getting mad really easily, while mad will refuse to eat and fly, instead will be stompin’ angrily on the ground so Oracle will hear him being mad. Meanings of names: Lilith - night monster, monster mother; also believed to be the name of first wife of Adam, a succub that brought fear to little children and pregnant ladies Razili - of Hebrew’s origins meaning ‘Lord’s secret’ Graddfa'r Ddraig - that’s just her father attempt to act human. ‘Dragon Scale’ in Welsh. Due to her mother’s pasing she wasn’t allowed to wear the noble familly name. Gulisa - Little[as in Weak] Heart [Georgian’s origins] Libi - My heart [Hebrew’s origins] Thana - Arabic name meaning ‘Death’ So the backstory goes a little like this: Lilith was taken out of her mother’s dead body about 2h after her death and put into the coffin on her mother’s chest as she was a silent one and not one of servants believed she’d still be alive. Her father was the one to react to her cries and open up the coffin to see his daughter trying to feed herself but getting nothing above few droplets of blood from now uncovered breasts. This caused her to be of a weak heart and health in general, would scratch easily, get exhausted from simple tasks... The father[a dragon and an idiot when it comes to human interactions] somewhat took care of her, not knowing what to do with babies he just stuck to giving her bottles with milk whenever she cried and if that didn’t work get a servant to change her daiper. Her real name was never used inside the castle, her father was using her [draconic version of] middle name or ‘shortenings’- he meant sweetheart but was saying weakheart, meant sweetie when saying hatchilng, you get the point- as everyone took her as a sign and incarnation of missfortune and death, thus called her Thana instead. Their explanation was that no child would be still alive while it’s own twin[brother] was born already half eaten by pests and parasites, and mother having her heart rotten due to a sickness. Last time she saw her father was around her 3rd birthday, month after that he was never seen by her, but they did met a few more times after Lilith was made blind. For years she was left to herself, only cared for in ways of giving her some food and preparing baths and clothes to wear. She wasn’t allowed to study things other than law and the ways of beautiful speach, yet she loved music. She missed her father dearly, but Emrys took up his place greatly, cuddling up to her whenever she was scared, hurt or cold. Her magic started showing around her 5th birthday and since then the elders started getting a bit suspicious. All was going normal, everyday lessons of law and how to speak in front of politicians, break for a meal, then the rest spent with Emrys on a walk around the gardens or in a library stealthy listening to the music lessons on the upper floors. Upon the day of her 15th birthday the elders took her to old ruins, where they marked her eyes with a ‘new emblem’ that was supposed to start a rebelius movement to throw the king from his throne, but after seeing Lilith crashing down with tears of blood and a new moon forming upon the sky they flew away in fear, leaving her there, unnecessarily taking away her sight from her. As the moon started forming, crimson fog hugged the dying girl, a single string of shimmering mana started leading the fog into the noble family castle. Before reaching the gates the unidentified experiment rushed into it and the fog moved back, leaving the castle alone for this day.  Emrys cuddled up to her and covered her with his own mana, focusing on her bloodshot eyes. The fog began cleansing itself, becoming shimmery, as if stardust created it. It later formed her grimoire, the book that would once be called Last Hope, as it’s light was powerful in means of healing and defending, but never there to harm, yet it’s magic was tricky and therefore never the same, no more was it to pleasantly sit back and observe the battle. There was a small peasant village near those ruins, they saw the great light and weird creatures, small circular beings surrounded by silvery feathers and hoops, and some creatures looked like those of stories of old times, the biggest shimmering creature resembled Pan, the great horror of forests. All the creatures dissapeared within a minute and peasants rushed to the ruins. Seeing the young girl in shambled yet definetly expensive clothing and tears of blood streaming down her face they called to her “Oracle! Oh great Blind Oracle! Send upon us a blessing of rain” and so her grimoire started glowing and send upon them the first spell “Moribound wish” which brought the clouds and flooded the noble castles of Diamond Kingdom for whole month. The people heard about an Oracle in old ruins and began coming to her, offering food and crops for a blessing or a prophecy. Her spell was limited, she oculdn’t use it however she wanted, and it called for rest quite often, so people became impatient, rude, envy of such power and ‘luxurious life’ of Oracle. Oracle was inside the ruins for more than 2 years, yet less than 4, she could never tell the time by herself, she always relayed on the good hearted people to tell her what time of the year it was.  Few peasants told the nobles about mysterious Oracle and the blessings she was able to perform- healing some of the elders, bringing rain and storms, and they decided to take her for their own happines. They took her from the ruins on May 5th, after a small battle that she decided to put against them, they killed Emrys as he tried to help her, and put Lilith inside the cage, forced a mask upon her face so they wouldn’t have to see the markings which some of the nobles recognised as the sign of rebelion. After half a year they got bored of her ‘miracles’ and let her go into the wild. She was somehow able to get into Clover Kingdom, her mask easily telling others that something was wrong with her.  But the little bird on her arm was an easy distraction, especialy with how many children would pile up just to be able to pet him or give him some food, so she was able to steal some food from the stands and sometimes money to survive living under the sky. One day she unfortunately tried to rob a Magic Knight Captain, of course not knowing who he was or what a Magic Knight was before that. Nozel Silva was his name, she made a note to remeber that name and upon hearing her explain why she tried to steal from him he actualy took great interest in her story. After a small series of questions which she answered truthfuly, greateful he wasn’t going to put her to jail, He made a decision to let her stay for a week in Silver Eagle HQ where she was able to create few little artifacts helpful in dungeons and unknown areas as well as develop a spell that allowed her to regain sight for a brief moment of 4 minutes. During the week he called her Gulisa, as she told she wasn’t given a name upon birth, and if she was it was long forgotten. Gulisa later turned to Libi which confused the girl, upon asking why he changed his mind he said that it may suit her better, but he’d still prefer to know her true name. Thanks to Nozel’s help she was able to gain money and buy herself a small house which the members of SE often visit after missions in which they found  new artifacts. Often times while practising her magic she’d find a dungeon and explore it with Mer. Few times while in Raquey she was stopped by some male who always asked her for a tea, and would tell her stories about folk-tale creatures, guardians of forests, oceans, skies and mountains, the devils and angels, the dragons and their homes of treasures. He presented himself by name ‘Lonan’ yet seems unsure each time he brings the name up, as if hesitating. He’d always pay for the tea and dessert and leave a package with crystals and some metal parts she’d been looking for. She still travels, but mostly around the borders of Clover and Heart Kingdoms. Searching for new artefacts that could maybe, just maybe, help her regain her sight. “The fact I’ve gotten used to being blind doesn’t mean I don’t want to see someone that I have but meet” “You have your spells don’t you?” “But they don’t allow me to see how I used to. Back then I saw people smiling, now when i use my spell you’re always frowning...” And that would be a brief summary of my OC. *Looks over at the pile of papers* Have I forgotten about something? EDIT: Forgot to add: She can’t fully see by using her spells, they allow her to see the basic outlines and few colours, they depend on her mood and levels of mana she got left, so she’s going blind 99% of time. Her mask was put onto her forcefuly and she was unable to take it down before going to Clover Kingdom. The nobles put her into the half-face mask and stiched it to her face, and she started wearing the ‘butterfly’ one after meeting with Nozel, it was first artifact she made in SE’s HQ. She knew the meaning of name Thana and that’s why she didn’t use it when she was free of elders’ will. Also I might need your opinion on this @thespiralgrimoire

Appmon Ep52 Liveblog

It’s the final episode! Our Singularity! There are several definitions of the word “singularity”, but the definition that best fits the episode (and entire series) is: “a hypothetical moment in time when artifical intelligence and other technologies become so advanced that humanity undergoes a dramatic and irreversible change.”

Haru was falling off a building but he’s fine now because Gaiamon came and grabbed him. I actually think that this shot is really cool, how the camera dips down as Haru should hit the ground but then raises back up when Gaiamon catches him.

and everyone else’s Appmon are back, too!

and now everyone else’s Appmon are getting beat up. good thing they don’t have to worry about protecting humans anymore, because this city is getting torn to pieces.

I still don’t really get why Haru holds up his hand at Leviathan (i guess it’s supposed to be like, he’s so heroic and fearless now? i think Haru has just been running off of adrenaline ever since the antenna fiasco and isn’t putting a whole lot of thought into what he does.) but everyone calling out to their Appmon, even from such a long distance, is cool.

Minerva’s dead now, but now everyone has a cool power-up! it’s basically like a reverse version of the power-up that Leviathan threw around during the Ultimate Four arc.

this fight is super cool, and really well choreographed with all of the swooping around and the solid impacts that the hits have. and they knew it was cool, too, cause the opening plays during it.

and now after all that big talk that Leviathan’s minions had about the irrelevance of feelings and what the heart wants and how logic will always prevail, Leviathan subccumbs to the raw emotion that is the fear of death. ultimately, no matter how emotionless and logical someone pretends to be, they will always be influenced by their emotions — we wouldn’t be living things without that.

aw man, I just thought of this... wouldn’t it have been cool if part of these power-ups had been fueled by an overdrive?

Leviathan’s body is destroyed now! this isn’t the end, though, but everyone thinks it is so they enjoy a nice moment of reunion and congratulations. So everyone hugs and hi-fives and stuff, Dokamon finally gets some affection, and Rei & Hackmon are just vibing!

i was gonna say something cheeky about how Yujin starts apologizing for what he’s done, but then I realized you can actually look at this as a parallel to Offmon’s profuse apologizing for some unknown deed from earlier on — the way Yujin repeats “sorry” even sounds like how Offmon would apologize.

but things are not over because Leviathan was scared of death so now Yujin is acting as a host for Leviathan’s remains.

besides the “no more fear of death” thing, I wonder why Leviathan is so enamored with the idea of a world without suffering or sadness? perhaps choosing to break away from the rules of humanity lead Leviathan to discover the depths of human suffering? maybe, like with the “no more fear” thing, Leviathan felt a bunch of negative emotions and was like “well this sucks” and decided to get rid of them?

yep, change is a really important theme in Appmon. change for the better, change for the worse — it’s what living things do

oh yeah lol then Leviathan turns that on its head and makes Haru choose between humanity and Yujin’s life.

but, in the end, to not have selected “yes” would have been extremely selfish, not to mention unprotagonist-y. looking at it as sheer numbers, there’s more value in saving lots of people instead of just one person... and, it would result in lots of people loosing those they care about. it’s one person’s valued relationship VS the valued relationships between billions of people, so of course “yes” is the best answer... really shitty of Leviathan to make Haru make that choice, though. it’s good writing.

and now Haru knows what he’s going to do in the future (and what kind of high school he’s going to apply for) — he’ll become a AI researcher so that he can try and revive Yujin after all this. it’s been only about a day since they had that conversation, after all, so it’s still fresh in his mind.

and Yujin knows that it would be horrible to make Haru willingly give up his best friend so he wakes his consciousness up and hits the button for him. so, despite Yujin not actually changing much through the series, he does finally make good on his App Drive question — he gave up his life to protect Haru. though the wording of the question made it seem like Yujin would wind up saving him from, like, physical harm, he actually winds up protecting Haru from emotional harm.

Haru’s request to Yujin to somehow come back and be his best friend again is pretty illogical (how would he do that if he’s dead), but again I think Haru is mostly just running on raw emotion rather than any actual thought throughout this episode. which is fitting, I suppose, given the themes of emotion VS logic. plus Yujin is going to be back in like five minutes so *shrugs*

also, I think this part is sweet, how the buddy pairs try to console each other... it’s especially cute how Musimon tries to wipe away Astora’s tears

and now it’s the near future and everything is getting rebuilt!

oh, the person watching the news is Unryuji Knight. i guess he doesn’t completely dissapear after the end of his arc.

oh, they actually go over the intended definition of singularity in the episode. I totally forgot since I was focused on everything else happening in the epilogue.

I can’t escape the feeling that Astora must get grounded or something sometimes after his videos. like there’s no way he gets off scot-free for breaking pots or filling ponds full of fish with slime

at this point, the first time I watched this episode I barely paid attention to the actual happenings of the epilogue because, once I realized that no Appmon were appearing, the only thing I could think was “and the Appmon? where are the Appmon?? they didn’t leave, did they???”. so this time, since I know the Appmon are still around, I’m going to pay better attention.

I’m really curious what the dissolving of L-Corp means — was everything owned by L-Corp just shut down, or did other companies get to buy up L-Corp’s subsidiaries? because it seems really coincidental that Eri would wind up working with Elena and Alice again under a completely different idol firm, so I wonder if they’re still working for Appliyama and it just got bought out by a new company?

and Grandpa Deneimon got put back in the real world. it’s never said whether everyone winds up telling their families about the Appmon or anything, so is Deneimon just living in Ai’s basement and Haru’s mom has no idea he’s still alive??

and the Appmon are still around, much to the relief of my past self! everyone’s still close friends, too — they still hang out together in the bookstore’s basement. and, they somehow managed to pull Offmon out of the wreckage of Leviathan’s body, and now Haru is careing for him. Gatchmon never really ever got over being annoyed-jealous at Offmon all the time, so I imagine that Haru’s home life must be real experience with those two around.

andddd Yujin is alive! somehow! it’s a little cheap that he magically comes back after Haru bases his future goals around losing him — generally, if you’re really going to use a death for character development, they should stay dead. But, this is a kids’ show, so I really can’t complain too much. and, soon after watching this for the first time, I did quickly cook up a theory to explain his return — since Yujin befriending Haru was so intrigal to Leviathan’s plans, it seems like there would have been a way to revive Yujin if something happened to him so that the plan could continue. so, based on the assumption that when Yujin returns home for the day and his doorway scans his memory and makes it so his mom knows what he wants to eat also makes a backup of his memory, it’s entirely possible that his mom was also saddened by his death and decided to just revive him from a backup (which would leave him without any memory of what happened the day they caught Bootmon or anything after that), using that last complete-but-unused Yujin body that was shown a few episodes ago. that’s my headcanon for what happened, anyways.

And that’s the end of the show! I wound up really liking Appmon when I first watched it last August, to the point where I decided to rewatch it just a few months afterwards. And, lo-and-behold, I still really like it! It’s not only a really good mon-genre show, with a lot of focus on the friendships between humans and monsters, but it’s also a really interesting look at the potential bonds of people and technology. So, I’m really glad to have watched it again while doing liveblogs — and I’m proud of these liveblogs, too, since I wound up going way into depth on my thoughts and theories and headcanons for the show, so it was really fun! I’m also glad that other people have enjoyed reading these, too — ultimately, I do this just because I enjoy it, but it’s nice to know other people like it too. So, thanks for reading! And, also, if anyone wants to hear more of my thoughts on this stuff... I’m open to discuss the show at any time as well!

Avengers: Endgame - the end of the era (SPOILERS)

Hello, beautiful people! 

If you haven’t watched movie yet, please, ignore it. Just go away and live your life. You really don’t want to read that.

But if you are bored and you have nothing to do with your day - I am oficially inviting you to discussion. 

Warning: This is gonna be long + I’m not a native speak, so forgive me every crime I’ve commited on this beautiful language, I will fix them and learn something. 

Okay! So I’ve seen Endgame a few days ago, I was thinking about what happened and I still don’t know how I feel about this movie. Really, I have totally no idea.

I'm fan of Marvel, GoT and Supernatural - this is a painful year for me. I’m a mess. Have mercy.

First things first, I gave up a long time ago to look at MCU movies (especially the ones that are called ‘Avengers’) the same way I look at other productions. This is not something you can rate at an angle of film purely, because:

1) Those films are parts of a really long series and looking at them just like we looked at trylogies or single movies would make a big mess. We would start seeing many mistakes, things that don’t work and everyone would end up with one big mind fuck and a bitter taste on their tongues. Because, theoretically, there are a lot of things that shouldn’t have place, but doing it differently would made everything lost its sense.

2) Infinity War was made to explain things to new audience who hasn’t seen previous movies. For example at the beginning Dr. Strange explains what infinity stones are and with that he lets people, who have no idea what the fuss is about, understand. And characters who have no idea what is going one, finds out by talking to other characters. Therefore, we as losers who are devoted to Marvel get our summary and people, who still have light in their lives, know that the shit is real. 

But that’s IW, in Endgame no one cares about it and everything just happens (I feel sorry for everyone who had never seen Marvel movie before and had to face the whole new level of “What the fuck”). Action is fast, characters are fast, everything is fast, we are out of time. That’s the big plus, because during IW I felt that things were slow and they were jumping from one scene to another, because they needed to show something to this person, explained things to this one and it had a lot slower pace to me. Also I love that Endgame is movie for fans, because there  are enough of us to make film that only people who know the whole series would understand and still have money. Who would know ten years ago that we end up like this, right?

I very liked first 15 minutes of film, because Russo brothers let fans believed that they were right and then, boom!, *5 years later*, our theories can go and fuck themselves.

I'm gonna focus on a few things that a lot of fans are talking about. . . and mostly complaining:

1) Thor

I don't entirely like what they did to him in Endgame, but also I don't entirely despise it. I think I know what they were trying to do, but they didn't show it in a good way.

It's easy to notice that Endgame Thor isn't Thor from. . . Thor and previous films about Avengers. He's not a god, he's not shown as one, he looks and is portayed like human, like mortal. By making him look and behave like a mundane, they were trying to make him closer to us.

He lost everything: his family, his best friend, his planet, half of his people - it must've been a terrible experience. Thor is a strong character and probably this is a problem. After losing with Thanos others had their break downs, tried to lived their lives, yet weren't able to move on, but they still had this thought "Okay, we lost, we fought with someone stronger than us and we lost". But not Thor! He's a god, he's powerful, he was the leader, he should be able to protect the ones he loved and he wasn't! If anyone was able to fight Thanos, that was Thor. And he couldn't do that, no, he could do that but didn't, because he didn't attack the head. The whole thing wouldn't have happen if he had killed that big, humanoid bunch of grapes.

Showing his trauma and his depression was a good idea. Showing that he's not always mighty god and he has to work for that was a good idea. Keeping him fat and not making him loose it in a mere second because he ran three times around the globe was a good idea. Let him has a break down in Asgard and talk to his mother was a great idea.

But! Covering his trauma and ignoring his depression by using it as a gag was a terrible idea. Using his mental state as something that lasts only a moment totally forgeting that reversing what Thanos did wouldn't bring back his loved one was a bad idea. Making fun of Thor being fat was the worst idea they could have. And caling him out because of him crying and using it as a joke was a terrible idea!

Remember that he's the only one that will NOT get his brother, best friend and half of his people back, because they were killed by Thanos himself. Not by the glove, but by the powerful Gummiberry Juice!

About fat jokes - I thought we grew up, I thought we have evolved, yes. . . Yes, I thought that we are over it and I was wrong. I feel incredibly disappointet. One comment is okay, it wasn't that bad, but making it a joke in a whole movie? I beg you pardon?

So, I uderstand Thor, but I hate how he was portrayed. The ending, quitting his "job" as a king and going with guardians made me kinda. . . Angry? It's like a big regress to his character. (Even if you don't like Taika Watiti's Thor the same way as me, he still showed him as a king who is ready to take responsibility for his people.)

2) Loki

Of course, we had a speech about Thor, now time for our favourite God of Mischief. I'm gonna get this straight, I love him. And I love Tom Hiddlestone. This is not surprising. I feel very bad what MCU did to both of them: to Loki as a character who should be like a snake, smarter than most of people, powerful god and to Tom who really cared about him and was trying to portray him the best he can. If not Loki, at least Tom needs some justice. Please, somewhere in alternative universe. This man is a gift from gods.

The big plus is that Loki 2012 ran away with Tesseract. I saw this scene and I was like "Oooh, okay, that's how they will have him alive in a tv series!". He is alive somewhere and I live for it!

And right, if you are wondering why Thor hasn't spoken once Lokis' name - remember that he was his brother? He loved and still loves him? They just made up and then Loki was killed! Thor can't say this name out loud, it would break him to pieces completely.

(That is something I want to believe in. It’s better than - Marvel just doesn’t want Loki anymore.)

3) Hulk - Banner

There is not many things I can say about it, but: I kinda feel like it was stupid idea, but okay. I'd prefer them to be separate beings, but have an agreement, how they are going to do things or something. Whatever!

I felt like Bruce we got in Endgame wasn't Bruce we know and love. Some of you can say that he changed, because he didn't treat Hulk as an ilness anymore and I get it,  but still. . . Something was off for me. 

I liked that he brought some humor too, but have you ever seen what predispositions Mark Ruffalo has to play dramatic scenes? HAVE YOU?! You know how great he could play after finding out Natasha's dead? This is probably the biggest dissapointment I have, that they didn't use his acting skills in this scene. I will never forgive for such a waste.

4) Natasha

I am a fan of Scarlett and Black Widow (in MCU and comics) and do you want to tell me, that she didn't even get a funeral? You're gonna tell me, that her friends didn't care enough to say goodbye to her this last time? Especially, when she sacrificed herself for the entire world? Yes, not only Tony, but Natasha too!

I am sad and angry about that. Burton, at least you. . . Their fight hit me right in the guts, I loved this duo.

And right, what was going on with Hawkeye? I mean, he was killing people, he was like "I've gone crazy", then Natasha came, said that they can fix that and he's immedietaly like "Okay, I'm back, but with the new haircut"?

5) Steve (and Sam. . . and Bucky)

Steve being worthy? I'm here for it! Steve using lightnings? I'm ace, please, don't fuck with me.

It was a moment in my theater when everyone gasped and one guy shouted "OH SHIT, HE FUCKING DID IT!" (but in my language it sounded harder, more harsh and was totally not for children's ears). Someone who hasn't watched Age of Ultron or doesn't know the Thor franchise, may think "Okay, lifting hammers had to be very difficult thing for this handsome man in riding-breeches", but it was something, rigtht? Everyone's heart started beating faster.

But why Steve fucking Roger was able to use Thor's power? I need to know, because it doesn't make any sense to me, especially when it was clearly said that the power is inside of Thor, not in the hammer.

Sam being new Captain? I have nothing against Sam, but. . . we don't know him very much. He was a sidekick we saw just few times. For me, Rhodey could dissapear in IW instead of Sam and then we'd get something more about him. He could do something heroic. But like that? I don't buy it. 

And are you gonna tell me that Steve left Bucky like that? He was ready to do everything for that guy, yet he left him alone and didn't even say proper goodbye. Was that the end of the line? (’Bros befores hoes’ doesn’t work the same way anymore? Sorry, I love Peggy, but I had to.) And don't even let me start on the fact that Avengers have just lost Natasha and Tony. Really, Steve?

It doesn't mean I don't like his ending, it was a perfect one for him. He finally found some peace with a woman he loved and I'm proud of our boy.

I'm proud of both of them: Tony and Steve. Because this movie was a great ending for these two. We have been watching Tony's character development since 2008, his way was long and hard; he became a loving husband and father; he finally learned to do things for others not only for himself.

Steve on the other hand was closed in a 'perfect hero' box. He was trying to be good and he was forgetting about himself in the process. Finally, he thought about himself and made a choice that was only for his own good. I haven't cried. Not at all. Not once. 

I love them both 3000 and I'm gonna miss them so much it totally doesn't hurt.

6) Girls heroes posing

Before I start shitting about it - I'm a girl. Let's go.

I don't care about that scene. I don't like it. I don't hate it. I didn't feel any kind of power from it. Nothing. (For the first time I missed it and I feel bad about it.)

You know why? Carol is powerful enough to take them down by herself and she doesn't need help. Letting all of these females be together was used just for one thing - showing that MCU has women. It was a shoutout to us: "SEE? WE HAVE THEM TOO! WE HAVE POWERFUL WOMEN! ARE YOU HAPPY? LOOK HOW FEMINIST WE ARE!"

As a girl and as a feminist. No.

Better learn how to write and show female characters properly than throw them in our faces. Better let women write female characters.

Although I’m glad that something like that was included,

7) Captain Marvel

I like her. She is the one I needed in the MCU. (Well, we have Natasha, Maria, Shuri and Wanda, but they don't have a solo movie. . . yet.) But making the whole Endgame aroung her would be ridicoulus. Directors didn't know how people are going to react on Carol, a big part of the audience didn't know about her. It would be a dangerous move. (But still, why didn't they call after here earlier. . .)

Still I love her, she’s powerful and beautiful! 

(My brother’s and cousin’s reaction was the purest: “She seems so awesome! Girl is gonna kick some asses!”)

AND NOW SOME GOOD SHIT (I mean, those above were good too for me... most of it):

1) Dr. Strange

It was probably the whole fucking cosmos for Benedtic Cumberbatch! I mean, what did he do in this movie? He said like three sentences, showed one finger and held water. Playing this role was probably just a big mood, I mean, you have no idea what you are doing, you are just moving weirdly your hands, hoping it makes sense!

Also, using Strange in a fight would mean that the whole shit ended quickly. So what he had to do?

Held water.

"Wait guys, I can't fight now, I'm holding the water!"

(Hold the door!)

2) Peter Parker

Just.

There is nothing more to say.

He makes everything better.

3) I love you 3000 and cheeseburgers

Do you know what is the perfect way to make a young ‘I don’t cry on movies’ woman cry on movie? That's the way.

4) AVENGERS ASSEMBLE

I screamed.

5) Guardians of the Galaxy and their small interactions with one other

6) Ant-Man

I have a soft spot in my heart for that man and his role in this movie was great.

7) Time travelling

If you want to complain, remember, Endgame is not a movie about time travelling. It is a movie that has time travelling in it. I like their solution, especially that this is a very difficult topic and can be very easly destroyed (you can see it in DC serial's like "The Flash" - sorry fans, I like this show, but the time travelling is just a nope for me, it doesn't make sense in the latest seasons even more). Using this way was kinda smart, at least it was something different.

8) HAIL HYDRA

My whole theatre cheered and started clapping.

9) The final battle

It is something to make a battle that is not boring and it is well known what is happening during it.

10) INTRODUCTION TO MULTIVERSE

Generally it was a good movie and it made a small progress. I had a big fun during it! I loved every blink to that part of the audience, which knows these movies and heroes like mothers know their children. I'm gonna miss Cap, Tony and Nat.

And guys. . . This is the end of the era. The very great era I'm grateful to be part of.

I feel like I'm gonna cry now. While I was writing this, the thought it is the end of something just hit me so hard I have tears in my eyes.

The best eleven years of my life. Let's see what comes next.

PS What do you think about Peter coming back to school? I mean, it looked like every person was erased, because what. . . If Ned disappeared too, it means that him and Peter don’t see each other only for a moment and they greeted like it was a really long time! Even if only Peter was gone, Ned would be an adult already. He’d graduated school a few years earlier. Just imagine this mess when everyone came back.

K-404 (unfinished): written at 15.

a sci-fi thriller mainly inspired by me watching an out of context scene from alien 3. Set in a larger shared universe that i had been building out of short stories back then. The story is about a space prison where they would sent people who couldnt be sent to regular prison because their crimes were too ambiguous. The main idea was that this was a prison of intellectuals, rather than of violent criminals, and through the characters i would wax about my philosophical and political views, views that i had gotten as a teenager who read existentialism for begginers and watchmen and v from vendetta, you can imagine the quality of the text. At one point a nanite container would go haywire inside the prison and then a grey goo event would start consuming the station so the four main characters would have to find the way to escape the prison before it was consumed by the nanomachines. The main characters would be a robot who pretended to kill his creator so everyone would be afraid of him , a female serial killer with aids who killed by sleeping around with people, a guy who tried to kill himself by jumping off a building and just so happened to fall on the guy who bullied him in high school, and just some random douchebag with nothing interesting to him besides being the POV character.

Kratae (unfinished): written at 16.

imagine X-men mixed with avatar the last airbender. An ancient fantasy world where some people are born with superpowers and chased away because of it, the people with superpowers get together and fund their own nation, called Kratae. Hilariously this story was inspired by me reading eclipse, from the twilight saga. In this world if someone with powers uses their power on you then you also get powers, so there is this couple and the guy gets powers and then the girl rejects him so he decides to get revenge by using his teleportation power on her and she develops her own powers and becomes a pariah and looses her entire life. The story starts with her trying to find the guy so she can kill him but when she does find him it turns out someone already killed him before her and then the story turns into this crime mystery where she will try to find the person that killed the guy she wanted to kill. It had this huge ensemble cast that included a lesbian time traveling history teacher and her street urchin aprentice (AKA the next season of doctor who) , two gay war veterans who met each other fighting in opposite sides of the same war, a creep with a crush on the protagonist and many others. There was also on top of all this a giant conspiracy trying to stifle research into free energy, the history of the world and the political dynamics between the faction of the people with powers and the people without.

The Demiurge (semi-unfinished): written at age 17.

imagine if god was one of us. If god instead of living above us in a cloud decided to live as a human and to grow old and die as one and the get reincarnated and then start all over again all throughout history, and jesus christ was the one time he tried to tell the truth to anyone. And THEN in modern times something goes wrong with the reincarnation process and he only realizes he is god once he becomes 16, and he is a white, straight, cisgender male, and he just happens to share all of my opinions on life and the universe and religion?????

a lot of this book is just me having fun while creating a whole cosmology that fits my view of the world out of pop-christianity, there are things like yawhe being imprisioned in hell in a cage made out of logic next to calvin, there is a part when adam and eve turn out to be also death and mother earth, and also Time and Space AND ALSO cain and abel are lucifer and Yaweh, there is a part where we see the antropomorphic representation of the fine arts giving birth to a ninth brother: comics. At some point the story makes a 180 and changes focus from god, who dissapeared for mysteryous reasons, to his best friend, some teenage girl who dies in the middle of the story and then we see her ghost searching across the universe to find him and bring her back to life.

i say its semi unfinished because at the last moment i got bored of it and simply slapped together a sudden ending for it out of nowhere.

Eigen (finished): written at age 19.

Eigen is one of my proudest achivements in a way. Written right after gorging myself on Portal and QUBE and the cube, and particularly inspired by the bathroom in the cyber at the corner of my street, i decided to write my own story about a guy trapped inside a grid-like onthological maze with a robot voice as a companion and a weird old guy chasing him trying to kill him.

thing is, i was studying advanced algebra back then, you know, matrices, subspaces, eigenvalues, etc. and it was the second time i was doing that class because i had failed at it the year before. So in order for me to learn the subject better i would take everything i learned in class and use it as inspiration for the story i was writting, ortogonalization, matix multiplication, transposition, etc.

i actually passed the course at the end of the year and i was fucking stoked about that.

at the end of the story there is a bunch of epic twists where it turns out the maze had been built by the main character who suffers amnesia, the old man was the main character from the future and the robot voice was actually the MC’s partner who also suffered from amnesia and was convinced she was a robot, and was trapped in the surveillance room for the maze. they never escape the maze.

Bigender (unfinished): written at age 21.

now this i think was my shortest attempt at wrtting a novel which i was really dissapointed about at the time since i had spent most of 2013 working the story in my head but when it came the time to actually put it all on paper i could barely get to the end of the second chapter.

the story is about a young girl who one day wakes up and discovers she turned into a boy. She is ovbiously distraught about this but it quickly reverts. Afterwards she decides to investigate if she’s the only one who can do this and it turns out not, there is a documentary about a person that also had the ability to genderbend, so she seeks this person and ask their advice as to how to manage a life with this condition. The teacher turns out to be some antisocial jerk who’d rather not have any kind of human interaction with anyone so it’s up to our spunky protagonist to break this ol’ scrooge out of their shell.

thing is i had no real plot here, it was going to be mostly a slow burn character study about the relationship between these two people and how they deal with their genderbending each in their own ways. this didnt work out because back then i felt really inadequate when it came to writing the life of other people with different experiences from my own, the teacher was supposed to have a boyfriend, the girl was supposed to have a bunch of lady friends, etc. so that’s why i never went to far with it.

F.I.P. Industries (finished): written at age 21.

ah, my magnum opus. the first novel i ever wrote. my crowning achivement.

and all it took was for me to abandon my career and read the entirety of wildbow’s ouvre for me to complete it. and this is not a joke. I doubt that i would have ever written this had i not lifted wildbow’s style and structure wholesale. The basic premise of, ok, we have this largely inadequate MC, let’s drop them in an impossible situation and see how they manage, was what fueled the writting of this book.

The story is about a college student who cant finish his thesis and is desperatly looking for a job (fucking prophetic, goddamn) and so he unwittingly gets hired by a company that works as a front for a cabal of mad scientist who are using the power of synergy and networking to take over the world, working on a dozen different projects at the same time and trying to see what happenes when you combine them into bigger more complex projects.

what is so important to me about this story is that i came up with it when i was 11 years old and i promised my self that some day i would make that story real. You guys have no idea how many false starts i had with this story. there was a time this was supposed to be a webcomic but it never went beyond a couple of strips. again, very much like wildbow with worm.

Multiple story arcs, a sprawling ensemble cast, a bittersweet ending, this story has it all and is one of my proudest works.

The empire of tomorrow (finished): written at age 22.

oh shit, we’re leaving behind the one word titles, i must be finally growing up as a writer!

The empire of tomorrow was a source of guilt and anxiety for me on some level because i remember reading fun home and are you my mommy from allison bechdel and afterwards finiding a lot of “incredibly problematic” themes in the story and being really upset at this.

the story is about a dystopian world where there was some sort of apocalypse and there is this feudal lord that controls one of the last remaining cities with an iron fist, so ofcourse the plucky rebellion comes up with the following plan:

to steal some of his super advanced technology and hack together a device very similar to the one in eternal sunshine of a spotless mind and use it on the feudal lord to project themselves into the lord’s mind when he was a teen and try and guide him into becoming a better person. Throughout the story is made ambiguous if they are rewritting his memories or actually going into the past, there is a lot of wild speculation about how the time travel works in this universe.

the main focus of the story is the relationship between the woman sent to do the mission and the feudal lord, which is the classical “she is a tough, no nonsense, paladin/ he is the snarky, slimy douchebag with a heart of gold/ will they, wont they” dynamic (spoiler alert: they kind of do).

thing is, mid-way through the story i throw this weird tangent towards reproductive rights and abortion and transexuality and i get the distinct feeling that the conclussions to where the story goes on these topics are not exactly kosher, but im not sure, i’ve never really shown this story to anyone besides my grandma who aparently loved it.

fun fact, for those who read disregarding reality, this story was the first time i used the character of erik, i reworked him fro the comic of course but not as much as you’d think.

Fan.Tastic (unfinished): written at age 22.

this was the point where i started to actually write my works entirely in english and upload them to the internet.

the story is set inside the internet, where the internet would be a physical place, following the rise and fall of a blogger who recently became tumblr famous.

again, im sure if someone who really cares about social justice issues took a look at this work they’d probably find a lot of things to be upset about, suffice to say in arc two of this story i show my own take on gamer gate and end up the story with the main character using every single slur i could think of towards her once friend and fucking off to 4chan.

the story was supposed to have 4 arcs, each one based on a website or piece of internet culture that i was involved in. The first arc was Deviant art, the second arc was Tumblr, the third arc was going to be 4chan and the fourth arc was going to be LessWrong.

thing is i found i only had things to say about the first two, the third one i had already said all i had to say on my /co/nrad comic and the fourth one i was still experiencing and thus i couldnt properly make a retrospective about.

it kind of boggles the mind how much work i put into this, i wanted to make it a true multimedia experience so i would invent all of this fandoms about things that dont actually exists and photshop tumblr posts and fanart and rotten tomato scores about these things to make it feel all a little more real. i dont think i ever went that far for any other story i made.

WE ARE MAKING A GAME (unfinished): written at age 23.

this, more than an actual novel is more like a series of scripts about this hypothetical webseries i’d like to do some day filmed in the style of the fourth panel from penny arcade, or the office, or the thick of it, or nirvanna the band the show, or, you know what? i think enough people have done that style now i dont feel like doing it so much.

Any way the story is about this popular girl in high school who one day decides she wants to make a videogame and thus she teams up with the nerd kid to do it, as time goes on we find out there is actually a lot more behind the popular girls than we thought at first.

the whole plot is just the dialogs between these two (and evetually three) as they come up with the game, right there, in real time, in front of your very eyes. What’s fun about this is that the game (called Maxplosive) actually shows up in the story of Fan.Tastic, except there it is this cult classic children’s movie.

i managed to finish what would basically be “season 1″ of the story but then i just lost interest since i was busy making my own actual game for college and i hadnt progressed much beyond what the characters in the story had and so i felt i couldnt properly write from experience.

i wrote the first chapter from season 2 recently in what was an extravagant moment of nostalgia from my part. I swear i NEVER go back to work on a story that i abandoned and i truly dont know how that happened.

The harpsichord crew (unfinished): written at age 23.

a new first, first time i actually have my main character be black women, yes, i know, im the wokest, now bring all the pussy towards me please.

but joking aside, the harpsichord crew was supposed to be the sequel to F.I.P. industries and the logic was sound, i would grab all these disparate ideas that i had been acumulating for years and mesh them all together. My main inspiration behind it was Gurren Lagann, where we would have these people with no power come across this incredible device which would slowly allow them to grow bigger and stronger with time until they became the greatest super villains the world had ever seen.

The story is focused on patricia, an overworkd lawyer and Lilly, a pole dancer. one day lilly decides to become a supervillain after being inspired by the fallout that came from FIP industries technology going public and ends up draggin patricia long for the ride. As the went, in true anime fashion, the would acumulate this quirky supporting cast, each one with a fun and weird origin story.

i think the biggest downfall of this story is that, much like all of the unfinished stories on this list, it didnt have a particularly strong ending that i felt i HAD to get to and so i managed to get 3 chapters in and then i forgot about it.

There is a crack in the world (finished): written at age 24.

i think i wrote more than enough about this story.

suffice to say that a lot of horrible things happened to me during 2016 and it took me until may of 2017 to finally feel like i could process all of that and work through it in my art. There is a crack in the world is a miseable story filled with horror and despair and the feelings in the words are raw and bared straight from my heart.

this is something a never do by the way, to really use my emotions as direct fuel for the art that i make. ususally i use my art as a form of escapism but in here, well, i guess there were things that i was trying to escape from too, like the horrible reality of being unenployed in a city you just moved to, a different, more mundane kind of horror when compared to the one i went through the last year but a horror i wanted to escape from all the same.

point being, there is a crack in the world is weird in a lot of ways when compared to the other stories in this list and curiously the only one that resembles it in any way i’d say is Fan.Tastic for the cynicism and bitterness that fueled both stories inceptions.

Final conclussion.

well, there it is, i of course didnt include the myriad of short stories and comics that i made or tried to make, these stories hold a special place because i put some extra bit of effort in them, because every single one was a universe that i dedicated several weeks or months to craft and i’d like to think they say something about me. My therapist once said that the common thread between all of them is that on some level or another, they are all about someone feeling trapped and trying to escape from a situation. this was before WE ARE MAKING A GAME.

i wonder if the theme changed or evolved in some way.

Simple af. wanting to die doesn't come as a collection of sadness. At least not to me. For me, it was a realization  that lasted about 8 seconds. I just wanted to evaporate. Dissapear. oh my, I would have killed for it in those moments.... Let'’ make it clear though that my desire was not to end my life, but to pause from existing. Meaning part of the deal is coming back to living. I'm sorry to disapoint you if you were getting triggered... No I am not suicidal.

I cried sm. actually, I am crying rn. It is terribly hard to see the keyboard, and I am hoping the 'clack' of the spacebar wont wake up anybody. Yes, sneaky. Not supposed to be awake, or complaining, or feeling like shit. Actually I feel worse than how Hitler would have felt if he had had  an average's man conciousness. 

I am shit. I am shitty too. Two in one everybody, take advantage of the sale!!! And there girl too. Because if your blood and my blood are not closely related, I might happen to treat you more kindly. At least it is what mom says, and she's got a point. I am shitty. AND spoiled, and selfish, and a son (well daughter) of a bitch. (yes, my mother did say those words, and perhaps didn't mean them in the sense that I AM her daughter). what can I truly say? I am scared of the world, I am clingy towards my parents, and I find this to be true mostly because they subconciously make me feel guilty about  going out, I am not really a daredevil. I am scared of what is out there. I have zero exposure. Mother says I go to friend's houses and all but! such friends live within a 5 mile  radius and mother has a handbook as to times, events, transportation, guests and so on. I truly think I wouldn't be much different with my future daughter. I still think about it. What would I do? I am not quite certain. 

I am very scared of what life will do to me... I have not been good. Not honestly. How I treat my siblings, my mother and father, even myself. I do not talk with God anymore. Not quite sure how I did it, or if I ever did. Truth it I felt more at home... Probably because I was younger and less scared. Had less chances to be scared. I want a bright future but I am shitty, sorry for this writter's lack for a better adj. I am terribly scared of when life will take my parents from me. And my siblings. And when they all stop being fun and  turn into, you know, every other grown up with his/her problems to be bitter about. Wait up, THAT IS MEEEE !!!! ajhkfluhrl. I do not know how to feel greater emotion towards my siblings. I can talk quite passiontely about my siblings, but when it comes to talking to them it seems like when you've been waiting to meet your idol, and when you finally fo they happen to be odly human. As if all the stories you had told about them were partially fiction, and adorned with glitter and ribbons (elementary school project type of thing, where the triptych board is overlly decorated to make up for how lame the graphs and charts about water evaporation are ). I am with them and I long for home. Yes, tofay I had both mom and dad crying and yelling at me about how this issue is olf now. How it all started 8 years ago and it stays there... In the past. Thst wasn;t so easy for me. Maybe as an artist you unconsciously try to find something to be butt hurt about, so you can dig deeper into that idea and then make a ton of work about how a tiny event or person impacted you. 

Mom cries, Dad yells. Then mother screams and punches as dad has an intimate moment with the tv remote. I am there decifing wether to breathe or help the boogers from covering a third of my face, or wipe the tears from my burning eyes. I am not the easiest child, but I am worth saving. I know I am selfish and plain out disgusting character wise. But I feel a sort of helplessness as  to what I can do. Am I trying my hardest? No. I am just as lazy as every other  human. And I wish not to be. But I do want to be more humble. Feel as if what I have I am not entitled to, but I have earned. To feel goo for my siblings working when the trip was a family thing. I wish I had the money so that they wouldnt have to worry much about that. I am weird. I feel embarrassed for having more oportunities than they so, so instead of being humble about it for some reason I turn arrogant. I go with the whole, "yeah but at least you 3 had each other" argument to put aside how I feel lonely, yet I have more opportunities, do not, get physically beaten and actually have food on my plate (unlike my siblings during their childhood). I feel bad that they have to work so hard. I truly do. I guess my way of saying that was "why won't you just spenf time with me instead of working?". I know, shitty position a) spoiled sister that I love and want to communicate but I am not sure how to or b) Making the money that we are putting into this trip and be able to not have good times here and not be broke when we head back home.  Again, I am not easy, but I am kinda worth investing. I wish it would just hit me tomorrow morning and stick w me for ever. Being humble. It would be.... Great. But scary truth is that when life teaches you how to be humble, it does so by taking things away. And i am terribly scared of what life can do. First the car, then..... Lets not talk about it. 

Again with the going out... yes. But come on if mom and dad can not take me, and do not want me to Lyft places and will not allow me to stay over at anyone's place, then what am I supposed to do? I love my friend that lives nearby, but there are honestly so many things and places out there. And IK I sound as if I was in a rush to live but..... I am scared. And I am scared that if I do not start learning how to detach now, I will never do. I love my parents and want to be w them. But I also want to be able to be places and know they feel alright. Okay, yes. That one that that I could've been almost raped, or it looked like something was off. I get it. I was scared af, but I don't really know how else can I learn if I am not out there,

I do want a car so that I won't have to be a burden to my parents. So that I can try to be more out there, on my own terms. Without the whole, "Mom has to work so you either go there early/late or not at all". I study near a very cool area in my city, a culture center and I don't even know what is going on around me. What Will I say about my teen years when I am older? "Oh yea, the school assignments were fantastic!!"   I want to live more in the moment, and I am scared and I do not wish to be. I honestly think about what is going on rn... Everywhere! And I just live in such a cool place but do nothing cool with it. I really hope that I get to figure things out. I guess I want to be more grown up, But I am scared. Prettier, but I am scared. I want to get back on shape u know... With everything. I feel guilty about acting as if I was entitled to things and not value them, that my siblings and parents have to work so hard, that mom and dad have to drive me around places, about the things that i want. My car, and surgery and advenruring. God, universe, karma, please treat me kindly. Maybe put someone in my path that makes me less scared, more humble and such.

Very few times did I mean to hurt people. I want to stop, I want to shut up. I want to FEEL pretty and I want to not be scared

- U nodded and he started to ask u a bunch of questions like why u like them and what ur fav song is and hes really happy to talk about them with u

- Talking about your fav band/artist or just music in general with him is so much fun!!!

- And it doesnt matter if ur good nor bad at singing, in the end of the day u sing almost every song of ur fav band/artist with him wich makes u both laugh till u got tears in ur eyes

Kokichi Ouma

- U were in this guy class and honestly u decided not to talk to him, like at all

- He gave u odd feelings

- When School ended and u were about to go home u saw the purple hitler Ouma at the locker room

- Ofcourse, u were like ‘shit’

- But when u saw Ouma’s face-

- He s blushing??????? 

- Like?????? Why is this guy looking like that?????? why he so cute????

- He walked up to u while u were obviously looking like u were about to run

- When he started talking it felt like there was 20 years added to ur lifespan like this guy his voice is straight up cute

- It made u think like: ‘’whoaaa i wanna meet this robot guy wowie wow wow’’’and since then u started looking for him evERYWHERE

- But on ur first day of highschool u saw this guy and he was also in ur class and-

- S/O.EXE stopped working

- Though u decided not to go to him like a crazy fangirl or anything, u kept it cool and went home (cause it was the end of the schoolday at that moment)

- But when u turned around to look at him for one last time the guy was standing in front of u and u stopped working again

- When he talked he talked so formal like he used some words u never heard of

- It was actually really cute because he was stuttering the whole way true it, and u could see he was actually quite nervous to talk to u

- And when he asked u to introduce urself, instead of freaking doing it, U asked if he could fly

- Wich made ur school / classmates giving u a weird look but kiibo was happy to answer that question!

- He explained that it was one of his rlly dope robot functions and he ended up talking about all the other functions he has-- yet he still spoke very formal to u wich is adorable 

- In the end of the conversation, u could see he actually had a nice time meeting u, and after talking more to eachother, he became to really like u (yet he doesnt know what that feeling means)

- U guys always have stuff to learn from eachother, u explain stuff about humans and society, and kiibo about robots and the way theyre created

- So its a win win for u both!!

Korekiyo Shinguuji

- U always thought this guy was suspicious as hell

- Once ur bike was stolen and the next day u saw this guy with a bike really similair to urs

- Though he told u multiple times he had this bike for a long time

- Whatever he does u always have a something to say about it, like u still dont forgive him for sort of stealing ur beautiful green bike

- U don’t hate this guy, u just dislike it when he makes an appearance

- Even when ure a complete ass to him it doesnt look like he has any problems with it?? he is still really chill to u??

- He even once asked u to eat lunch with him and his friends

- U are confused like why is he still being nice to u?? U swear u saw him a little irritated at someone at least once

- Though u didnt want to admit it, it did made u more interested in him at some point

- So the next time he asked u to eat lunch with his friends u said yes

- U know, maybe he is a very nice person

- And yes! he is actually very nice!! U guys have a lot in common!

- Also Amami is a very chill person, and u can talk about kinda anything with him, hes very understandable + is good at listening

Shuuichi Saihara

- U love to read!! But when u were in the local libary near ur house, u always saw the name ‘Suuichi Saihara’ in the back

- It acc annoyed u and ofcourse u needed to make a competition out of it

- U started reading all the books that has his name on the back, like u even ended up pulling an all nighter to finish one of those books

- Though u do admit this Saihara does have a good taste in books

- One day u were reading in the libary, and ended up falling asleep cause u obviously have an lack of sleep

- When u woke up the libary was closed while u were still IN THE LIBARY AND UR LIKE NOOoh

- But u also woke up with a really dope hoodie buT UR BUSY PANICkING

- Hours later when u decided to have a sleep over at ur favorite place u started wondering where the hoodie came from

- The next day u tried to fake sleep because u. wanna. know. who it was

- Then a hour(s) later u felt someone putting an scarf around ur neck lmao

- U turned around and saw a guy with a cap and ur like oh and u dont know what to say because u didnt expect to acc come this far

- He started blushing like crazy and u were suprised, he looked so mysterious but instead hes really cute and shy 

- U both introduced urselfs and Saihara is like ooh!! i always wanted to meet u cause u love reading as much as i do! i see ure name in the back of books a lot too

- And ur like bruh i see ur name on a lot of books too, but then he explained that he did that just for u to notice him and like how adorable even is that lol

- Since then u guys started to hang out in the libary a lot !!

Gonta Gokuhara

- He was acc the one starting to talk to u

- He once saw u taking care of a spider, instead of killing it u carefully took it and put the spider outside the school back to the nature

- He was very thankfull!! Because insects for this guys are like his own children

- Aside deadly ones, u were never really scared nor disgusted by insects

- But when this guy was talking about them, it makes u feel like theyre more than insects tbh

- He shows u how to take care of diffrent kinds of insects, and it made u actually interested

- Whenever ure asking questions, he s glad to answer! Cause it makes him not only feel at ease, but really happy too!

- Whenever he talks about insects with you, hes always smiling and he has that excitment in his eyes

- Even though u guys know eachother for months and are dating now, he still talks formal to u + has the same excitment in his eyes whenever the subject is about insects

Ryouma Hoshi

- U guys already knew eachother since elementary school

- So u can say u guys were childhood friends, though, he moved so u didnt talk to eachother since six grade

- U remember when u both were like 5 he once kicked u and u ended up with ur head in the sandpit

- And u guys always put sand in eachothers hair + pants/skirt or just straight up underwear

- But it made both of u laugh and yes u guys became friends because of it

- Many years later u were about to go to the police for an school project; u needed to interview one of these police offiecers about how they do their work--

- But then u saw this very little guy walking out of the front door like yes btches im finally free after all these years 

- And u recognice this guy like immediately and when he looked at u U SAW HIS SMILE SLOWLY DISSAPEAR LIKE

-  ‘’Oh... Hey Y/N looong time no see huh? ahah...ahahah..ha’’

- Let’s say his laugh was so awkward it made u cringe inside

- But the fact that it was ur friend from sooo many years ago made u very excited and idk he thought it was adorable

- After talking alot he started explaining the reason why he was in prison and u were shook at first but u saw despite his actions he was still like the same nice guy from elementary school

- And u both decided to hang out with eachother more 

- After some time u guys ended up having feelings for eachother too!! :)

Hii My name's Nia! Hope everyone is having a lovely day for starters.

Now before i even get into the rp stuff itself i just want to say please please please do not reply or email me if you know you have a habit of disappearing or that if your life has a habit of making you dissapear for months on end. I am am extreamly loyal rper and has had rps that have lasted 3+ years and others that have lasted nearly as long. So i need someone willing to be just as loyal. 

Now dont get me wrong, i undestand life gets in the way. And if you need even up to a month off its cool. Its no problem as I am also very patient. But I have been let down by too many people with that situation. And because i only do long term rps its really really fustrating 

On another note,I'm a very passionate writer. I can write from ten to 70 paragraphs on a good day. But my average is 15-20 per post. Im pretty detailed all around and very plot oriented(which is why people who dissapear is so fustrating lol). I also really like to talk about the rp with my partner. While its not required it is fun to talk and joke around about the story and characters especially when neither of us is able to get out a post right away. Plus I have noticed that doing so keeps the rp petty fun and less stressful especially when we're busy. 

Sometimes though i have noticed just through experience that some people ditch rps or give them up because of lack of interest or it becomes boring to them or simply (as i been told) that they cant keep up with my writing.....Now as my partner if your not feeling the story let me know. As its not hard to start a new rp but it is hard to find a new partner. If you can write well then instead of dissapearing lets fix the story so that it will work. I want us to both work together so that we both enjoy the story and have fun while making it. Hell if you want to do multiple rps at a time or side rps from the main story because its an idea that you really are passionate about then im all for it.

I know a lot of what i said sounds repetitive but not being able to even finish an arc or a plot in a long term story is really fustrating. And if you understand where I'm coming from then you'll also understand how much it makes you want to quit. Especially when you know your a good writer. I know i quit, but the urge to write a good story got the best of me lol.

So please, if you know you cant do long term novel style stories or cant just be a faithful partner please dont bother emailing me. Before we even rp i send a excerpt of my writing and style just so you can get an idea of how i write. If you feel as though you cant keep up then let me know. If you want to try,then let the story be short term. But if your confident well....

So rp wise i really love horror romance(with some comedy relief here and there) and overall dark themes. But with a good amount of character development. Now the genre doesn't have to stay like that throughout the rp. The genre will definitely change depending on the plot and characters development. But again if theres a side rp that you want to do that's just one of your creations aside from the main rp i really dont mind what genre it is. 

Pairing wise, I really dont care what your character is. Just know the main character i create wont be human. I have an entire species bio,and dont worry its nothing godmode or extreme its simply not human lol. And I tend to make slight modifications to the creature as well depending on the other persons character. I also have other creatures too and a whole world written out if you care to see it lol. Also i dont care what gender you chose either for your character. I play both. But i will say I only do M/F pairings. Sorry lol.
