One of the things that made me stop reading analyses in the Byler fandom is how people just tend to pick 'parallels' that they like while ignoring or dismissing other parallels that do not suit their takes. Especially the most/more obvious parallels that are put on the show. For example Byler being paralleled to other romantic ships show that byler is also romantic but apparently Mlvn being paralleled to Byler and other romantic ships don't count as a romantic parallel. Mike being paralleled to Vickie apparently isn't a parallel because it doesnt support the intended *parallel meaning*. They literally framed Vickie and Mike in the same way and gave them same lines while paralleling Vickie's ex and El, and Will/Robin.

People will analyze all Byler scenes back and forth to show how it's romantic meanwhile completely ignoring Mlvn's romantic moments on the show. Even when Byler itself literally parallels Mlvn..... And it happens all the time not just with parallels but with other stuff like framing/editing or set design clues.

And these are not even ''minuscule details'' or ''subext'' stuff that you have to analyse. They are like the most obvious parallels that the show put.

Dont get me wrong, i like finding clues and reading analyses but they just kinda feel extremely... disingenuous sometimes when you just pick stuff that you like while ignoring other stuff just bc it doesnt support your argument.

I don't understand the point of ignoring those parallels too, the existence of byler-minteven parallels is part of why I can't think Matrioska is not romantic, that and like also the framing of their scenes where they are framed with a romantic meaning very very often, especially in the first seasons but also in season 4 they have some moments framed as romantic too!

I didn't stop reading the theories because of that though, I hear people out many times even if I don't personally agree and I like seeing all the little details that maybe could be intentional... But I do stop reading the theories in the posts when they are phrased in a way that sounds pretentious to me or seems like they are saying that if you don't think that then you are stupid, but even in that case I just ignore it as long as there is no biphobic idea involved I'm fine with people ignoring what they want to ignore in the show... I just don't care xD

I think it's also a thing about a different interpretation of stuff, I tend to not be able to ignore the big picture of what I see all together, so stuff like the "boys only" thing or the drawing in El's room etc doesn't seem like a good enough reason to say Mike is gay to me I see it as sort of general queer coding for Mike like saying "from now on for you it's only one boy aka Will"

But I also see him as acting genuine with El and also liking kissing her a lot in s3 and other people watch that and are convinced he hates it because he moves her hands...so I just think it's all about the subject that is watching for some things and it can never be super objective because of that unless you are literally the writers

But you know, I still think they all should be allowed to ignore what they want tbh even if I think taking that into consideration gives the best fair judgement on the show if you try to be the most objective possible by looking at everything... but like I'm not here to police people about what they should talk about in the tag so I just skip it and continue my day lol I get annoyed if the arguments used are clearly born from biphobia, for the rest I don't care much tbh

in the end it's not that important if he's gay or bi or just queer the important thing is that he's happy and kissing Will Byers next season

But I definitely still think he's a messy bisexual until they confirm he's not, because that's what makes sense to me for now 🌈

Vicky is in school orchestra where she plays the violin. She keeps hoping that one day she meets someone who will accept her with all her quirks. She's very clumsy and often says a bit too much too early.

4. GOTH (the prompt says Emo, but Emo look would not fit into my game, so Goth it is XD)

Charlie Ray

Charlie loves the occult, especially vampires, ghosts and creepy dolls He's known for taunting teachers and often ends up in fights (that he starts).

He just recently became a teen and doesn't really know what to expect from high school considering he spent his childhood attending local Sulani school with three other kids He is a sweet boy who loves the sea and has big dreams.

While I adore the dynamic set, I think it was a bit incomplete/empty. There should have been some more things for the characters to sit on and stuff, as sometimes they just kinda awkwardly stand there, like in "Mr M" and "Bustopher Jones" when the moving stands are closed off. Or they are just not there, like how in the second half of the ball all the "singer" characters besides old D are just gone

I get why it was Vicky touching Griz and why old D got brought back the way he did, both do actually make sense, but I'm still bit annoyed by both for reasons XD

I should not have to make up a whole theory to make Jemima's bit in "Moments of happiness" work. Genuinely, the last line makes absolutely no sense unless we assume Griz initially only wanted to see Demeter and Old D, and decided to try and rejoin the tribe only after that song. And to assume that you gotta either think a lot or have the Warsaw book where it says she wanted to see them and then think about it. I would know cuz that line bothered me from the first moment I heard it 2 years ago, and this explanation came to me only recently

And last but not least, while I appreciate the existence of the fall 2007 run and all its photos, I hate how it's so visible in a bunch of the costumes that they either didn't care or didn't have the money since that run was just a 3-month filler before Phantom premiere. They also changed up some of the makeup looks to various degree (mostly eyebrows). I know it sounds really petty, but I will not forgive them how they butchered Yellow Jenny's make up. All of this is why prefer to not use 2007 photos as references, even tho for some characters there are the clearest/only ones there are.

Well that was quite the cliffhanger to end on!

Season 1 of El Internado is done! :D

It’s a fun show with some great characters and intriguing mystery even if it kinda throws everything and the kitchen sink at you at once and apparently takes place over a week? I’m choosing to ignore that and pretend it’s a month.

The show effectively follows three groups: the teachers, the teens, and the 5 year olds, the latter of whom are objectively the best characters and deserve the world. I love Paula & Evelyn and their friendship and innocent 5 year old view of the world, and how caring the adults around them are. Amelia really does seem like a great teacher, and just the way Jacinta and others all melt when it comes to the kids and cheering them up and going along with their games. They are so good even if Paula’s friendship with Gnome gives me many heart attacks because we know nothing about him.

But if Jacinta knows about him and isn’t hostile to him, I can believe he’s a good guy! He also saved Paula from the “Taxi Driver” and that’s the most important thing. That “Taxi” scene still haunts me.

Speaking of Jacinta, the trio of Jacinta, Maria, and Fermin is my favorite trio! I love all of their interactions and and relationships, and how much Jacinta & Fermin try to help Maria. Maria deserves the world.

Hector’s a pretty cool dude too, even if he really needs to get his personal life sorted out. Elsa’s a cheater so I’m definitely not rooting for this relationship but I do still feel a little bad for her and at the very least I don’t think she’s evil evil. Just an awful person but one who takes her job seriously. Given what I’ve heard about this show, I can’t discount that.

Pedro sucks though. No sympathy for him at all. Please run Amelia.

And Camilo................................................ I trust him as far as I can throw him right now. The teenagers should too if someone can find the brain cell among them.

And speaking of the teens... they are probably the weakest part of the show tbh. Not in terms of plot - the mystery is great and intriguing and I do like how active they are in finding answers rather than waiting for the plot to come to them. But as characters?

Marcos & Ivan are really the only ones with any depth and development, and a lot of that comes out with their interactions with more interesting characters outside of the friend group. Ivan’s two friends are just kinda there, and while it’s great the Carol and Vicky and so active in finding their missing teacher and largely moving things forward.... who are they and why should we care again?

Vicky seemed to be set up as the student with the closest relationship to Alfonso so it was weird that Carol ended up as the one most determined to solve the mystery. And while her determination is admirable... Carol herself kinda sucks.

We barely know anything about her. Why is she so obsessed with solving this mystery? What was her relationship with Alfonso? Why are her friends following her... why are they all even friends? This goes for the group in general. We get a lot of great scenes of Paula & Evelyn, and the adults and their social lives but we barely get anything for the teens. They’re a friend group because the show says they are and we never really get any fun, sweet moments between them.

I feel like the show would have been stronger if all the kids got sucked into the mystery for their own reasons like Marcos and grew closer together rather than starting off as an alleged friend group.

Also Carol’s actress is..... not good as whispering. Everyone is bad at this but I feel it’s especially bad with her. The sheer number of times a scene really looks like it should have the characters whispering between each other but instead has them talking at normal volume (or loud in Carol’s case) is laughable. How have the adults not caught on to what they’re doing yet? They talk about it out in the open! xD

Also...how is this school’s security so bad (beyond Hector refusing to hire a private firm) Kids are getting lost in the woods every night apparently - the woods that are repeatedly said to be dangerous and off-limits, yet the 5 year olds have regular field trips there, doors are never locked and the one time they are it’s used for attempted murder. And somehow Gnome is able to sneak into the school pretty regularly to see Paula and never gets caught.

Hector.... please get your school and your life in order. You may choose the order.

I hate the expression guilty pleasure. It's almost as if you are only supposed to like certain things, liking something embarrassing or uncommon is a reason to be guilty. That said, my guilty pleasure is definitely watching telenovelas, more specifically Brazilian telenovelas (sorry other Latin countries, we do it better...), even more specifically 2000s Brazilian telenovelas.

As we all know already, dad was a dickhead and wouldn't let any of us do what we wanted, but that never stopped us. When you raise kids with that level of strictness, you're just raising better liars and more resourceful runaways.

Tv was strictly prohibited during the week, our only day to watch our shows was Saturday, and of course Allison would always monopolize the fucking thing all day to watch Buffy or The OC. The rest of us never got the chance to watch anything else!

We had to find our own ways to get to the tv. At the time I ended up buying one of those tiny portable ones, the only problem is that it didn't connect to any channels with telenovelas. For that we had to assemble a team: Diego, Klaus, and I sneaking around the house on Saturday to watch the reruns of the week.

At the time, 2003, we had just turned 14 and the telenovela we were all watching together was Chocolate com Pimenta, still one of my favorites to this day.

It was basically about this very small town in the late 20s, home to a famous chocolate factory owned by two siblings. Jezebel, an evil woman who took advantage of everyone, and Ludovico, a kind old man who ends up finding out his sister had been stealing money from the factory.

He then becomes very good friends with one of the employees, Ana Francisca, who was a total loser from a poor family, but ends up getting pregnant with Danilo's baby (Danilo, who is dating the other villain, Olga, Ana Francisca's bully).

After getting humiliated Carrie style, Ana ends up marrying Ludovico platonically just so her son would have a father, and by consequence, she also became the sole owner of the chocolate factory once he died, finally getting the chance to seek revenge against the ones who humiliated her in the past.

Yeah, it sounds a little complicated and there are at least thirty other characters and a million other storylines happening at the same time which included: cousins getting married after an enemies to lovers slow burn, four weddings that were interrupted by something dramatic happening (one of them being the groom getting arrested at the altar), a girl who wants to steal her sister's boyfriend, a painter who falls from the sky in a hot air balloon, chocolates that make you horny, a young boy who doesn't know he's a boy because he was raised as a girl, five moments of 'no, I am your mother/father', a fake kidnapping turned real, a hotel owner being exposed as a former prostitute, communication with ghosts, and a father who loses his daughter at a poker game to a disgusting old man she has to keep distracting every night to avoid having sex with.

I am not kidding, those were all parts of the story at some point.

And we loved it, we ate that up! It was a high risk operation to sneak upstairs into the television room, but we didn't care. It was better to be punished than miss out on a chapter, we had our priorities sorted back then.

"Klaus! Klaus, put that out and come here," I hissed from the hallway.

"Oh fuck, it's telenovela night," he quickly put out the joint he was smoking and hid it under his mattress before joining us. "Nice to see you, D. I thought last week was 'the last time you ever did this'."

"Shut up!" Diego muttered, making him laugh even more. "This week Aninha is coming back to Ventura, I just wanna see that, but I won't be here next week. Telenovelas are for girls."

"Sure you won't..." he snorted as we made our way to the room. "I'm not a girl and I love telenovelas."

"I know, but you are... You know."

"What? What am I?" Klaus loved to make people uncomfortable in that kind of situation, especially our siblings.

"Different," Diego mumbled, unsure of how to explain without sounding like a dick.

"Different how?"

"Stop that," I laughed, shushing them. "Someone will hear us!"

All of our efforts to stay hidden went downhill when we opened the door and found Luther watching the football game. He jumped, tossing the remote across the room. Klaus yelped, and I had to cover his mouth to keep him quiet.

"W-what are you doing out of bed?" Luther asked, folding his arms angrily.

"The same thing as you, genius," Diego huffed. "Can you get out? We're gonna watch the... Futurama."

"No! I got here first!"

"Come on, Spacey, please," I whined. "We really need to watch it tonight, it's the only night when they show the reruns, you can watch this game any time you want, or a billion other games just like it!"

"You shouldn't even be here, it's bedtime."

"Neither should you," Klaus countered. "You have just as much to lose here. If you tell anyone, we'll tell dad you were watching porn. Something really twisted like bestiality or that thing when people sit on cakes and fart for the camera."

"What?" the three of us asked nearly at the same time.

"Don't tell me you've never seen it!" he rolled his eyes. "You all know exactly what video I'm talking about..."

"I really don't," I grimaced, that mental image was probably one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen, and I've killed people. "What were you even looking for? How did you find that?"

"It doesn't matter, I'm not leaving," Luther insisted.

"Okay, we're not really gonna watch Futurama," I sighed, hoping Diego wouldn't be upset. "We're gonna watch the telenovela, would you like to stay and watch it with us?"

"Telenovela? Isn't that for girls?"

"No, man! You'd think so, but it's actually a lot of fun," Diego shrugged.

"It's literally the only time we can watch it, I'll make you a cake," I offered and immediately winced remembering what Klaus had just said about that video. "Not like that, just a cake."

"Fine, but it has to be red velvet," Luther gave me a pointed look.

"Anything you want!" I ran to get the remote and change the channel.

We all gathered in front of the tv, Diego and Luther on each side and Klaus in the middle, with me sitting between his legs, my back against his chest. Thankfully we only missed the first five minutes of the first chapter.

There were English subtitles, but Luther was still lost, every two seconds he would ask something different, which was understandable, but it didn't make it any less annoying.

"Who's that?"

"That's Bernadete."

"And who's with her?"

"That's Cassia, the girl he likes."

"She's a lesbian?"

"No, he's actually a boy. He was adopted as a baby and raised by the maid, who never told his adoptive mother he's a boy, he doesn't know, but he feels like there's something different about him."

"Oh, I see... Maybe they did that to Klaus. That's why he's so weird, maybe he's actually a girl."

"Asshole!" Klaus barked. "Boy, girl, who cares? It doesn't mean anything. Even if that was true it wouldn't be a bad thing. At least I have kissed a girl, unlike you!"

"Your sister doesn't count."

"Funny you should say that..."

"Who's the mother?" Luther went back to interrogating me.

Needless to say, he was way more interested in Chocolate com Pimenta than we anticipated, and who could blame him? It was actually really good. He ended up joining our Saturday group.

He was the first to be converted, before Allison (who I think just wanted to spend time with him) and Ben. Vanya was the only one who didn't seem interested, but now that I look back maybe we did exclude her a little bit.

All I know is that some of the best moments we had at the time were sneaking around the house every Saturday night, trying to find snacks to munch on while we watched our show.

"So what did Celina do to escape Count Klaus?" Ben asked after accidentally falling asleep before our watch party the night before. By the way, yeah, there was a lot of teasing due to the fact that one of the villains' names was Klaus.

"The priest told him he'd have to pray like 450 Hail Mary's every night before having sex with her, he always ends up falling asleep before he can do anything. Now she wants to legally divorce him," I explained.

"What are you kids talking about?" Pogo asked, joining us in the living room.

"A... Book, that we are all reading," Klaus said the first thing that came to mind.

"A book?"

"Yeah, it's a period drama Vicky found at the library."

"What is it called? I'd love to read it after you're done."

"It's um... Spicy Chocolate."

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 - Live Thoughts + Reactions

I wrote all of my thoughts and feelings in a notebook down and copied them here in case anyone is interested in my thoughts and feelings on S4 so far. It’s taken me a while because 1) the season is LONG AS FUCK, 2) I’ve been ill and 3) I’ve been at work, so… anyway, here it is!

Episode 1 - The Hellfire Club

Oh damn, that opening 8-10 minutes though :O They made it look like Eleven straight up slaughtered all the other “numbers” (the kids at the lab) as well as all the orderlies 

My theory at this point: Eleven was possessed by Vecna and he killed the kids/orderlies through her

It showed Will painting and I was like “oh that’s so for Mike” even though it didn’t show what it was exactly

I love Eleven, Will and Jonathan being siblings

Her visual aid for her school project was Hopper and the cabin :’)

It makes sense given that she saw Billy (her stepbrother) die in front of her, but at the very end of ST3 (which was 3 months after his death), she and Lucas were laughing and joking around and teasing Dustin over the Never Ending Story thing, so I guess I’m still kind of surprised

I was trying to figure out why Jason Carver, the basketball captain, seemed familiar... turns out it’s because he was Chris Dollanganger in Flowers in the Attic in 2014... aka the guy who slept with his sister 

My first impression of Jason is that he seems cute but like he’s probably gonna be a douche

but alright, that was the end of Fairly Odder season 1. final thoughts over all? well...it was better than the live action movies. pfft. ok that's not high praise, and honestly i don’t *really* dunk on the movies that much (save the 3rd, that is useless trash). no honestly, this isn’t nearly as bad as it could’ve been. it’s not exactly good, but it’s not offensively terrible either. it’s harmless, and at times it can be fun. i’m an adult watching a children’s show, i know this was not made for me, and what i think of it isn’t exactly what anyone wants or cares about either. but as someone who loves the original series (mostly), i can see what they were trying for, and could tell when they succeeded and when they didn’t. i criticized and tore apart the Sparky season, picked apart the movies, and broke down and bemoaned the lost potential of the Chloe season. i’m no certified expert, but i feel confident enough in my knowledge of the source, so honestly yeah, it’s not bad, we’ve had worse. the kids are doing a wonderful job here, and i hope to see them advance in their careers. 

will this be a series i rewatch? probably not. if there’s a s2 will i watch that? uh yeah. i mean, that cast list had a bunch of characters not seen here that i have questions about...and i still have questions about chars we did see here, so there better be some explanation somewhen about this. but ultimately, woudl i recommend this? eh, if you are considering it, i say yes whole heartedly; if you already decided to pass, nothing i can say would change your mind anyways.

SWUP now, you mentioned that she works at a gym, in which position does she work in? janitor, trainer, reseptionist, accountant, manager, something else? I admit I'm not familiar with the job hierarchy and only threw in some random jobs that might pop in a gym XD perhaps James could be the friend that helps Vicky keep the secret of her being an unicorn alien and keeping both identities separate once it's found out that there are aliens in the sector? After all, with the ammount of damage that pile up from her apparent fights, I doubt that it won't spread the fact that said damages are being caused by aliens, monsters or cryptids depending on the source XD

The one with the most experience with the patching is Leo, however he's really rough and oftens leads to injuries getting worse, so Tristian generally takes control of that. He has experience with helping animals within the dome, especially the birds.

Leo is usually the leader of the group, and puts himself in harms way more often than not, his self preservations skills aren't that great... He's learning though.

For SWUP, Vicky works as a trainer, general training newbies and the occassional loyal gym junkies. If she's not training she's the receptionist. From my experience with gyms, they're usually unmanaged, maybe you'll have a trainer there or someone to help out during certain hours of the day.

Oh yeah, James deffinitely helps keep her secret, when SWUP/vicky gets flustered she kind of spouts random things, If she's not careful she can let loose a secret, so James is there to direct the conversation elsewhere

She'd also want to kepe it a secret with all the costs from the damage. You know? super heroing is expensive.

I respond usually!! usually i respond pretty quickly, but if I don’t I get all alarmed and may not respond ever. I still saw it, my babes. i still glow with the loving words. i’m just weird. like i love hearing from everyone, that validation gets the words and tears flowing

what’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

oh boy hm. I do love a happy ending, okay. pretty much all my fics have one of those or are just a little bittersweet. I think my overall angsty fics are probably spent a lot of nights on the run due to the, um, ghosts. and the lesbians fic, which technically has an ambiguous ending but i have confirmed by word of god they do live and are happy haha

have you ever received hate on a fic?

hm not really! everyone’s been really nice! I think the closest I’ve gotten is just general comments on not liking a concept or being confused or something. i do tend to confuse bc my brain is not linear or put together in any way

do you write smut? if so what kind?

haha not really? i write vague scenes which is partially bc! i doubt my smut skills. but also just that i’m in it for the emotional resolution (waves gigantic demisexual flag), and i can have that with vagueness. also I think it’s nice bc like. it’s easier to imagine exactly what you’d want to be happening if it’s vague, so it’s open to reader interpretation

no i am a hot mess sdfsdfdf.  i don’t write linearly. i appear online and write in a frenzy for four hours then leave for like five days

what’s your all time favorite ship?

like. i think saying Enjoltaire is cheating but it’s the correct answer. I do also love courferre, mariusxcosettexeponine, bahorel/feuilly, Epoferre, etc. i ain’t picky i love my amis in almost any configuration

what’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

if i’d been asked this question a month ago I would’ve said “still here (still high)”! but i finished it OH THANK GOD. hm. i have a ton of WIPs in my folder and some may never see the light, but there are none where i’m just. never thinking about them or working on them or no longer want to.

what are your writing strengths?

*click click click* i am a fast typer. i am wild with concepts i would write anything i ain’t shy. i’m obsessive over spelling and editing like. while i’m writing. 

what are your writing weaknesses?

i can be confusing. i never fit in all the details i want to but simultaneously struggle to keep rapid snappy flow and am weighed down with dialogue and filler info. my ideal writing is such that every sentence/word either has a melodic or story or comedic purpose but i just don’t get there lolol

what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

i am from ‘murica so am not the best person to speak on this topic, considering I know like 1.25 languages. but I think actually writing dialogue in the other language is fine, as long as you’re doing it consciously and using it as a writing tool/it was intended. i personally usually just type it out in English but italicize it or make it clear they’re speaking another language. there are a couple of my fics where the whole fic is in English but they are supposed to be speaking French like the whole time. if it’s like one word and you can get the subtext i usually make that word in the other language. i dunno-- i don’t think there’s hard and fast rules in writing *blows kiss*

what was the first fandom you wrote for?

this is a weird question bc I’ve been writing fanfiction since I was like 8 or younger. just what i’m into! so probably like. pokemon, honestly, haha. like the first work i published online was definitely also pokemon fanfic but even that was not the first time i was writing it. no one wants to be exposed to that it was bad. i can look back on it with love though!

what’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

ho boy um yeah this is a hard pick. both intm (ines) and i’ve been up nights were written in like the avatar state of writing for me. picture the depths of the pandemic. writing those were super fun. honestly i’ve had fun with all of them though! spent a lot of nights on the run is a different kind of fic than my usual fare so I guess it gets an award for that. just a little longer is fanfic of fanfic so writing it was truly a joy like. imitating someone else’s style is thrilling and. u know you’re not them and won’t match up perfectly so it’s a challenge! but a super interesting one. “isn’t your other les mis work matching vicky hugo somewhat?” some may say and i say absolutely not i do not match him stylistically and for this i do not apologize

Hi, Ben!  Gonna try and get this typed up before work, but we’ll see.  Managed to watch the trailer, and I liked it, at least.  I mean, the fact that you made a trailer is impressive enough, regardless of content (you’ve seen my photoshop attempts).  And everything seemed to line up well, from what I can tell (and even if it hadn’t I would have just assumed it was my ancient cell phone. XD)

And I don’t know why you don’t think that little snippet is good writing.  I feel like one sign of good writing is writing that causes the intended reactions in readers, so as long as that intended reaction was dolphin-like screeching while sitting alone in their car over how ridiculously adorable it was, then you’re golden.

Also, because I apparently can’t stop me from hurting myself; did Claudia know about everything?  Because I can’t decide if that makes the pain worse or better.  Also curious how Vicki going to join up (at least I think I saw her pop up on the tree?) with the gang.  Randomly wondered if Noah still has the scar from the glass table in this universe, since his healing abilities weren’t as developed back then, iirc.  Also wondering if any of the extended pack will show up in this story, or if they’ll wait until the sequel.

Part of me wants to try to write little fluffy holiday one shots for the cheer, but part of me is just like …urgh…effort…

Hey B! I really hope you’re doing okay and that work’s been treating you well. My day went okay as I spend most of it taking it easy, editing and writing.

And I’m very glad you liked the trailer! Makes me very happy ^^. 

I guess, it’s mostly because it’s not according to the rules or like literary writing and I find myself comparing my writing constantly and upholding it to impossible standard. Even though I know I shouldn’t and I should just write what I like and frick the rules. Which I’ll try to do more from now on again. 

Because you’re right. Good writing is getting feelings out of people and making them happy or sad or even horny with your writing. And for the record, dolphin screeching was probably what I was going for as I wanted people to feel genuine happiness at these little scenes I’m writing now.

I think Claudia suspected who the real sire of Melissa’s baby was. I think she had a feeling or a hunch but she also respected Melissa and her decision to marry Raphael and step out of everything. Bit of a; if you’re not with me at least you’re happy idea. Even though eventually, Raphael ended up hurting Scott and they separated anyway. And Vicky will pop up in this story. 

Still haven’t made up my mind if I’ll put everything in this one story or if I should put S3 and it’s storyline (since I’m skipping S2 as that focused on the Kanima mostly) in the sequel. Because what I might do is introduce the new pack members at the end of OUAT before they are bitten and then continue their story and the take over of the school by Jackson and Lydia in the sequel. Because I think that also has merit. And that way I can also set up the Alpha pack and Deuc’s return much more eloquently. 

And I have also set up Ben’s storyline with Mack that I definitely want to address further but don’t know if OUAT is still the best place to do that anymore so I might move that to the sequel as well.

Noah does have the scars from the glass table, glass included. There were some scars he kept as he got older. No matter how badly they may hurt on cold days, it’s a reminder to him of what he survived and a reminder of what he never wants to become. So he has that scar. And he kept it.

And because I know your work is probably really, really taxing and I want to share an awful dad joke with you; here’s a snippet of what I wrote for chapter 13 and Jackson showing that he absolutely has the ability to make awful jokes too. (Peter is so proud, and you know Noah and Chris are too, secretly.)

With most of them wide awake the true challenge in front of them was unpiling their puppy pile without anyone becoming fast friends with the ground. A feat which they would have managed to do if it weren’t for Jackson unceremoniously dumping Scott and Stiles off the bed when he couldn’t wake them up to free the others. It was noted that both Scott’s and Stiles’s protests and groans went unacknowledged by Jax and the blond teenager merely smirked at his brother and his friend. And his quip of; “You snooze, you lose.”

Was met with a chorus of groans, a few chuckles by himself, Chris, and Peter, and Stiles’s declaration of; “Oh my god, dude, lame.”

He shot a look at Chris who had taken Ben from Peter and was cradling the sleepy child in his arms. “You sure that one is yours?” He nodded at Jackson.

“Considering how much trouble he was to get out?” Chris sighed, “Yeah that one is mine… at least he’s pretty.”

Jackson looked mildly offended at Chris’s words. “Okay one, I had a three point five GPA at my last school and two,” He gestured to his own face, “I am very pretty and very proud of that.”

"Every story can have both a sad and a happy ending. It all depends on when you stop telling it."

I have no idea where this quote is from or how it's said exactly, but I have always liked this sentiment. That everything can have a happy ending- you just haven't reached it yet.

Well.

The downside of it is the sad ending, of course. That everything has a sad ending, too...

In most of my writing, the way I deal with the sad ending is by adding in the "and you haven't reached that yet." and then just never letting my characters die.

For this story in particular, for this character I want to tell you about, it's the other way around: it's a sad ending at first, for quite a while so, and it hasn't reached its happy conclusion yet.

And I need to take care not to hurry the story along.

The girl I'm talking about is Alexa 'Alex' (formerly known as Grace) Williams. Like Grace Williams from H5-0, yep, so not entirely oc, but when have my ocs ever been that? Just characters taken and ooc-ified until unrecognizable. Apart from Akasha, maybe... But that one's a special case.

Anyhow.

Alexa Williams, or rather her original universe, isn't based entirely on 5-0 canon, but rather on the Transformative series by boxparade on ao3 (amazing read, go have a look if you haven't yet!) in which Danny is a trans man and only he, not Rachel, is Grace's biological parent. Because of that fact (and I think this is where it gets oc-ified by me and not by boxparade's fanfiction, but I might be wrong, my memory's shite and I never really know what was my idea and what sb else's), Alexa(still Grace then) looks a little different in this universe: blonde, not as tall, no Rachel-influence basically, let's just say the sperm donor looked more like Danny idk.

Now back to the story.

I started thinking about the Multiverse, and in particular the multiverse of my ever-growing fanfiction headcanon universe, a few years ago when I realised that my headcanons were starting to be too many for one universe- that they started to contradict each other. So- multiverse. And a story that, at the time without faces or names put to it, came to my mind soon after, was that of a girl taken from her universe to a different one, where everything is the same- yet not, where there is a girl that has her name- yet it isn't her at all, where her parents exist but they aren't her parents at all, and she doesn't know what to do- she could easily prove being biologically related to them, make them take her in, they have no idea about the multiverse after all- but does she even want that?

And then, for some reason, reading boxparade's story, I knew this was the girl I was looking for, who would end up on a different universe, with no way to return.

Why is there no way to return, you ask? If she managed to switch over once, why not again? Many of my other Central characters do it all the time. Well. Alexa/Grace didn't just leave her universe- it was destroyed, erased from existence, and she was saved from the ruins. I wrote a quick explanation for the splitterverse, aka the destroyed universes here in a DW fanfic also part of this multiverse, tho idk how understandable it is there as it's just Thirteen rambling xD but anyway. What's important is that Alexa/Grace is all alone: her family and friends wiped from existence, and herself now in a place where everything feels eerily familiar and like deja-vu, yet not like home at all.

I started writing about her origin story here, and I would have liked to continue writing it as a proper story- with her, after taking on the Central name Alexa, meeting the Grace Williams of this universe, becoming friends and eventually telling her the truth- while still hiding from everyone else. About her leaving that place when it becomes too much- joining Central, spending her teenage years as a vigilante with no place to call home (and even Vicky says that that's an unhealthy way to live). She would be the How Not To example for people thrown from other parts of the splitterverse- for she is not the sole survivor. There is Alice (not Kirk because while the Quadrantverse exists, the Star Trek stories are just that-stories) from this fanfic here, and my oc-ish three Joana (Not McCoy)s Jojo, June/Joan and Anna about whom I wrote a one-shot a while ago here and many more.

I would like to write Alexa, while not finding a home, still finding friends at Central, growing into her own person, growing up. And, one day, returning to the universe, planet and place where she met the other Grace Williams right after she left her old universe, so many years ago. And, this time, it feeling like coming home. Home, to her sister, and her sister's family. And that being enough. Because yes, this story does have a happy ending- eventually.

And why didn't I write down all this yet, properly? Because it doesn't have a happy ending for so long, because I'm bad at letting characters suffer for long. I would have written her finding happiness the first time around, and that's not the story that's my headcanon for her.

So.

That's how I'm writing this summary-version on tumblr instead: because I can't bring myself to write anything other than snapshots of her story properly, and because I don't want to forget the complete story in case one day I'll have the energy to write it properly.

Some characteristics of Alexa Williams, as opposed to Grace Williams from her new universe:

- Blonde, either shorter or taller than Grace- shorter would make sense for her being more like Danny, taller would make people in her on universe say that that's what she got from her mother- not knowing that she isn't biologically related to Rachel at all

- Likes to swim and surf (Grace does too, but Alexa is a lot more enthusiastic about it) and used to do a lot of it together with Her Steve.

- On that note: in Alexa's universe, Danny and Steve got together a lot sooner than in Grace's. When Alexa's universe falls, the two have been together and moved in together for at least two years, and Steve has started to be a second father for her... It's just another thing that is Not Right when she comes to Gracie's universe- and then when she comes back years later, Grace can tell her that the universes aren't all that different after all.

I’ve loved Supernatural and Sam & Dean since 2006 and have been involved in fandom on and off since around season 4. I love the show and brothers with all my heart and after the finale made my main blog here a place where I posted about spn and Sam and Dean in�� addition to Merlin (I also have all my other sideblogs for Sam and Dean, like with Merlin, I love having lots of sideblogs lol)

Anyway I love Colin Morgan and Merlin, always have, always will, but I feel this is the right time to change my icon here. 5: If you could pick any companion to travel with any Doctor, who would it be?

Honestly? I’d just, throw benny in with any of the nuwho doctors, because Benny is great and i’d love to see her react to some of the more angsty/ morally grey moment doctors like 10, 11 & 12 can have. I mean, considering how well she knows 7 it’d make for some interesting interactions for sure!

Also, Susan & 12 because I am soft and want some of that granpa/granddaughter interaction.

6: How much EU have you seen?

Honestly? I’d say a fair amount, though I still have so much to experience! I have listened to a bit of BF, though i’m more familiar with their benny, gallifrey & eight ranges than anything else, and i’m really behind on the monthly range.

I have only seen a single series of torchwood as well, so for now it’s a bit of a blind spot for me!  Though I have seen all of SJA & Class (I even listened to the audios, and though I still have to read 2 of them, I own all the class books)

Still have some of the BBV & reeltime stuff to watch as well, so I got plenty to enjoy still!

As far as books go, I have read all the Benny solo NAs, and most of her BF books, so i’m really familiar with her (yeah, there’s a pattern there, and it’s that I love benny a whole lot!). i’ve read a few of the virgin & BBC books, but i still have a long way to go, and i’ve barely scratched the surface of the new who books as well, though I recently bought a few of those, so i’m looking forward to that!

And I’ve also delved a bit in other spin offs like faction paradox, where i’ve read the comics & most of the books, but still have some left to read, and the audios to listen to!

i’ve also read quite a few of the charity anthologies, cause basically, i think they’re super neat!

... it’s a bit of a long answer, sorry, but I really love the EU and i’ve barely started on it as it is! I’m very excited to discover new stories and characters as I go on honestly

7: Favourite companion/doctor relationship

Ok so, this is purely about non-romantic doctor/companion relationship cause i’m not a big fan of the romance angle but! Twelve/Bill, because I love the supportive grandpa tutor & excited curious student angle, and I just. Love s10 with all my heart honestly?

Six/Evelyn, because again, I am soft, and Evelyn is just great, and Six deserves to have a friend who can both call him out but also hug him & make some hot cocoa when things get rough

Seven/Benny, cause I do love how they start with benny already being wise as to 7′s bullshit, and not taking any shit, and how they grow to mutually respect each other, and become the closest of friends

Seven/Ace, though it depends on the stories for me

One/Vicky cause I love how they’re both chaotic little shits, and how the Doctor just, 100% adopts her and Vicky does the same to him really!

and Eight/Fitz (though I also like that one with a romantic lense honestly) cause just, of how they grow close to each other, and esp with the whole interference thing and how far fitz would go for eight, and how eight actually really cares for him as well? Yeah, i’m soft XD
