something I think is cool is the oceanic motifs of all the void creatures and areas in ror2…

the void fields are covered in a seaweed like plant and have the appearance of underwater trenches.

the enemies originating from the void have clear oceanic themes as well, mostly being crustaceans.

there’s even some void items are are obviously sea creature themed as well (zoeas being a type of crustacean, shrimp being shellfish, the tentacles clearly resembling octopi)

this is likely because of the idea that both deep space and deep sea environments are dark, expansive, and isolated.

so… what the fuck is void fiend?? we know it’s a mutated human, but what is it like underneath the helmet? did it get turned into some deep sea abomination too??? what kind of corruption did it get from the void??

So speaking of Shiva.... I made a little guy for that RoR in universe world.

I'm not making up a religion or fuckin' with the other religions (I don't wanna do that) so I made a little guy who's made of stardust and wanders the cosmos. Since he isnt affiliated he can not participate in any of the gods' business (which most of the time he's cool with)

But he doesn't like Ragnarok, mostly because he both; doesn't want humanity to lose (they're interesting beings) and also doesn't want to lose the gods he likes in such a brutal ring for survival or destruction.

But that's his lore he just is there and hangs out, esp with Shiva bc *twirls hair* u know. And since he is generally small, but can change his size at will (im sure as large as the cosmos itself but thats nevrr been seen-) he's been deemed "tiny god" or just TG for short. And TG hangs out with the gods he likes personally.

The way you crafted Rhea's character and how different yet similar she seems to Percy is really exquisitely done. Furthermore, Poseidon and Hades from ROR were perfect, and the lore of the mythology you added is beautiful and incredibly fascinating😩. 

Also do you think there any characters from anime or comic books have an appearance similar to Rhea's appearance?. 

because for some reason every time I try to visualize Rhea appearance, Donna troy from the wonder women comic always comes to my mind.

I edited Priya from My Candy Love to make Rhea. There is also another picture I added during chapter 115, I forgot to edit the hair, it should be darker like the first picture, and her skin should also be tan but Storior didn't have the right shade.

This is the look she has on her face 90% of the time.

I don't know any anime character that is close to her looks, Priya from My Candy Love was the closest one, specifically in this one pic I edited.

follow up question to the poseidon catching percy and hades fucking, who'd you think win? hades is obvs on defense (let's pretend he's in tip-top shape and alert even in the middle of their activity) but do you think poseidon would succeed in killing him? i can't decide who's stronger, ror lore kind of puts poseidon higher in feats he's hella fast and could maybe blitz his brother. but i don't think poseidon would let it go easily. if he wants to prolong the fight so he could capture and torture hades, then maybe hades could win?

i think hades would win, or escape at least!

as we all saw in the poseidon vs kojiro fight, poseidon tends to let himself get blinded in emotions (in their case, it was pride, but in here, it'd be anger)

hades is usually calm and rational. while this sort of scenario would definitely throw him off, he'd regain his cool and try to focus on getting out of the fight. he loves his brother and would never kill him, so he'd be on the defensive like you said. he'd probably try to explain himself or calm his brother down while evading the attacks, but when he realizes that it won't work, he'll teleport back to helheim and pray percy manages to calm poseidon down enough while he tries to think of a way to fix this mess he made

In this case I feel the correct answer is "canon" due I made her 🤣🤣, but anyway...:

- her full name is Phoebe Maffei, born from an italian family (in Sicily) which now lives in England (sometimes go there for vacations);

- Phoebe speak both italian and english;

- her proffesion is being a florist;

- she and Jennifer meeted each other at university. Jennifer was pretty much the "lone wolf" on the place and Phoebe decided to know her out of curiosity, due the students shared so many "gossips/missinformarions" around Jennifer past;

- she dont have problems to bring up what is going on in her mind. Indeed she talks a lot, while Jennifer, compared, is more private and silent around her troughts;

- did punched someone in the face at one point (it was due this journalist bothered Jennifer over stuff around her novels);

- she used to know Bernadette (another RoR oc) since childhood due they both grow up on an location mainly lived by italians (i still need to think what England city to make it work so... wait for such answer XD);

- she planned at one point to gift a dog for Jennifer Bday but realized was truly a bad idea... so instead got a new typewriter;

- there is a specific rule between them to not "bring british cousine" to her parents, due last time Jennifer cooked for them... a discussion abt food happened (it was for usual italian "belief" related things but Jennifer is not really a good cook anyway 😭);

- while Jennifer is a lover for sweets, she prefer more "salty" recepieces;

- Phoebe was the one who confessed first, Jennifer needed some mins to process so;

- she is a member of a lil traditional sicilian dance group;

- Phoebe cannot play any instruments while Jennifer is pretty good with piano;

- Originally Phoebe was a full English character, but got changed due some friends ended a lot to mistake her with Bernadette. After many thinkings, I liked the idea of Jennifer GF being italian so... i leaved it;

- compared to Jennifer, she would like to have kids (thanksfully the plot was nice to her XD, ill explain the Agatha lore later on).

So after the recent leaks showing Loki the drama between Loki and his feelings for Hilde I was wondering..

"How am I supposed to make it work when I included his family into the ROR universe and was going with the flow??"

Well I make an AU out of it of course! And I call it the Doll!maker/Puppeteer! Loki or Doll!Sigyn AU.

Lore:

After realizing Hilde doesn't share the same feelings towards him and he ruined the only chance he had to ever confess. Loki copes by at first making a doll of Brunhilde and thats when he gets an idea.

The god decides if he isn't going to find love, not even from his own family and no one will ever truly love him back.

He is going to create something, another being that is going to return his feelings no matter what and be loyal to him!

For whoever wants to join the AU!

That's when Sigyn, his first ever love who once died on the battle field is reborn and brought forth again.

Now Loki with his beloved Sigyn at his side, continues and makes an army with his new talent. Gifting his crafts to desprate customers andcreating deals.

Please go ahead, the general idea is open to your own spin with whoever you include.

But my idea for now is that Loki is making an army of dolls that he controls at his will. Perhaps the rune magic he uses can be to use of anyone else? 😏

The basics of the Void Fiend's lore is that he was a human who was captured by void monsters and held in the Simulacrum, basically a never ending fight simulator to gather data. Time and exposure to the void corrupted him into what he is now.

The game lore implies that the void fiend is beyond saving, saying "and so it comes for all of us" when you escape and head to earth, but I ain't having none of that. Ingo may have been irreversibly changed but he's still in there. He's my blorbo, I'm giving him a recovery arc.

And the space jelly... Chandelure my beloved. I don't have an in universe reason to call her Chandelure considering she's nothing like a chandelier and she isn't luring anyone anywhere, but that's whatever. A friend of mine came up with the idea of Chandie wearing the helmet as a hat and I thought that was so cute... And then someone else mentioned that it would be terrifying as well bc someone who is likely dead now used to wear that helmet. The juxtaposition is perfect. She matches her friend now! *Pays no attention to the poor sucker who got trapped in the void fields*

LOVE THEM dragons are so cool and varied I love seeing them actually have contrast to other dragons! Tundras and gaolers? I wish they were fluffier!!! Guardian beards??? Lovely!!! Wildclaw and coatl feathers??? Killing it!!! Hell I even have dragons without fur and feathers in game have them in my lore! I think we need more apparel that adds fur feathers and such to the dragons

Hi!! It's Bunny anon that's been interacting with the RoR rp blogs, I created this account mostly just to share some info on Bunny since she is an Oc, Lore is under the cut!

Bunny's backstory: She was a woman who lived in Greece in 630 bce, she was born in a humble family and was a fan of studying, as well as spending her time baking and taking care of animals, she used to grow flowers as we as being a sculpture, non the less she was human, that was until she had tured nineteen, when she was turned into a nymph by the greek deity, Zeus, for he thought she'd be a good servant to his son, Apollo, since she had a liking to art and music, but unfortunately for her it wasn't in her say of she wanted to or not, it was against her will. As she was originally supposed to be Apollo's one of many nymphs, she found herself getting closer to his twin sister, Artemis, instead, a they quickly grew close together, in no time switching to becoming Artemis nymph, which she found herself happy with.

i’ve decided that i will most likely continue to Not post art on the tumbleweed site because a lot of my self-worth hinges off of getting the “deserved” attention on my art (i’m not sure what the minimum for that is. because of how my brain works, i feel like a god compared to others, and thus feel that i dserve special attention)

because i’m not a massively popular artist nor am i a shipper, any rain world art i post will probably continue to massively flop

and people not having a fucking clue i exist is also an issue for my risk of rain art, which at this point is more relevant to the paladin mod & its lore than the actual base game because i’m not attached to the base-game survivors — at all — due to their ambiguous characters (hopoo has confirmed that they don’t give a fuck about lore, it’s an afterthought to them… they’re also pretty obviously allergic to good lore (see: the potential the void had) but that’s aside from the point. hyperinvox’s post on the risk of rain subreddit sums this unrelated point up nicely)

the tumblr, ao3, and twitter parts of the risk of rain community are a fucking corpse. it’s disappointing.

before my likely departure, however, i’ll leave you all with a few things:

Listen I am not in plague or nature but I really love their rivalry in lore and I just think a PLANNED switching of dominance during the other's festival would be a cool idea, out of the box and fun. I can see how many people can be against it but a themed push for each so only the opposing flight does a conquest push for the first spot would just be really cool okay. Switch it up a bit, have fun, everyone kisses each other, it's great.

It could even make this an idea for other flights with lore, like shadow/light

Loboto is a chaotic bastard man dentist but he deserves so much better and I have SO many feelings about him.

And then Raz is so smol but he’s got a heart bigger than his already gargantuan head and he just wants to help people and he’s so good. ;__; Fragment is just a concept/story idea that spawned from my crazy little brain spring-boarding directly off of the events leading up from the first PN game, though RoR, and through the conclusion of PN2. It’s not an AU because the canon lore is entirely left alone and I’m just using everything we already know from the series and building on that. The story centralizes around Raz and Loboto unwittingly exploring their parallels, airing out old wounds, and setting Loboto on the path for actual healing. And also so Loboto can finally make a real friend for once. Which also, by extension, means that Raz can also make a real friend for once.

Lord knows that little boy is lonely enough from having to deal with never staying in one place for long and also having to dodge his family on the whole psychic business for most of his life thus far. He puts up with a lot of shit seemingly in hopes that he can forge good relationships with others even if he’s very frequently treated like dirt. And, considering how RoR went with rummaging around in Loboto’s head and making him relive his earliest and most traumatizing repressed memories, there’s a lot to extrapolate on and boy do I love picking things apart and analyzing them. The character evolution is my favorite part of it all, though. I’ve got a bunch of concept art sketches/renders that I’m still churning out little by little as I slowly explore some of the world building and ideas I have, I’ve drawn several related minicomics, and I also fully intend on making a feature-length, multi-chapter fic for it, too, so everyone can suffer and cheer with me if they choose. It’s just a fun little project where I can inflict massive amounts of torment damage on myself and my friends and whoever else is unfortunate enough to look at my eye crimes. C:

Name meaning: Fate

Height/Weight: 170cm, 56kg

Origin: Legend of King Arthur, English faerie lore

Region: Orkney at World's End

Alignment: Lawful-Evil

Gender: Female

Backstory: The queen who rules over the Faerie Britain. She has established an absolute monarchy in Faerie Britain, oppressing the fae for over 2,000 years.

The highest ranked faerie and a divinely brilliant mage, she bears Rhongomyniad, the Lance of the World's End, as a form of magecraft. Old English faerie lore tells of Morrigan as a "benevolent faerie of the lake," which was later adapted into Arthurian legends as a villainess opposing King Arthur.

On the other hand, she is conflated with the faerie Viviane who bestowed the sacred sword upon King Arthur and guarded him after this death.

In Proper Human History, Morrigan was the daughter of Tintagel, the fae child conceived by Igraine, the progeny of the British Isles...and later, Altria's stepsister, as Morrigan's mother Igraine wed King Uther.

Altria was designed as a human king as part of a human stratagem. Morrigan, after learning that she was the true ruler meant to inherit the Mystics of the British Isles, came to despise King Uther, her sister Altria, and all humans who refused to swear fealty to her. This hatred was a major source of destruction in Britain.

The Utopia No Longer Within Reach.

A cold, ruthless queen who trusts only in her own power. It isn't that she never trusts others, but they cannot be relied upon.

Morrigan's first priority is the orderly rule of the British Isles. She dislikes humans, faeries, weakness, ugliness, equality, and peace. From the perspective of her subjects, she is evil incarnate. Yet, she dislikes them not because she finds them needless, but because they are incompatible with her.

To Morrigan, control is just. Anything which threatens that control is evil. Therefore, Morrigan's personal preferences are unrelated to her standards of good and evil as a sovereign.
