- Chloe is WRACKED with guilt the entire time but even more so once she finds out Max is dead. She spent so much time being mad at her and writing all about that in her journal and telling other people that, and now she’s never gonna get the chance to tell her that deep down underneath all that, this whole time she just missed her and loved her still and wanted her back in her life

- Chloe finds out about Rachel and Frank no matter what and when outright confronted on her feelings about Frank there goes the realizations she’s been holding back about how much Chloe means to her in comparison to how much leaving the bay leads to her oh no!!!!

- while Rachel’s spirit as the doe was very distant all of the game, Max’s spirit as the butterfly is VERY present. To a point where Chloe gets annoyed at the amount of butterflies always following them lmao

- I’ll draw this one out eventually but Chloe is definitely a bit hurt hearing about Max from everyone else. In LiS Max is a bit of an unreliable narrator. She says no one notices her, but everyone you talk to as her has something to say and it’s usually positive stuff! Which would definitely be amplified considering she’s missing. She has to hear all this talk about how good of a friend Max is to everyone despite being shy and anxious, and it’s just this conflicting feeling of “why didn’t /I/ get to have that friend still?”

Trigons Backup Plan

So! Trigon knew from the moment his Daughter was taken in by the Monks of Azarath that it would be difficult to turn her to his will. He wasn't stupid, he knew just how hard it would be to make his daughter turn on everything she has ever known in her (very short) life.

He can't really blame her, even he believed that indiscriminate mass murder was wrong until his mid-200's, he just needs to wait for her to grow out of it.

But until then he still needs a way into the DC Universe. And if his daughter wouldn't help, then he could always just make a 2nd one.

So, he searches and eventually finds a Couple of Scientists who seem to be good targets. They are researching Magic and Ghosts, so he makes a Demonic Pact with them. He will give them the secrets needed to complete their Research, and in exchange all he asks is that they help him bare a child.

They agree, and Danny Fenton is born.

Danny was supposed to become a Hellmouth when he turned 16, unlocking his Demonic Powers and opening the way for Trigon to enter the DC Universe so he could conquer it.

Instead he managed to get himself killed at 14. Then he managed to come back to life as a Halfa, he got himself adopted by Clockwork, and he usurped the Throne of the Infinite Realms in the span of 1 year, therefore putting himself on the same level as his Father on the cosmic scale.

So there goes his Backup Plan.

Dammit.

Meanwhile Raven is panicking. She had been messing around with her Friends when they asked about the Spells she could do, and she off-handedly mentioned that she could cast Family Tracking Spells.

One thing led to another, and they all wanted to know if they had secret family. Then they asked if she wanted to try as well, and for some reason she agreed.

And long story short, she has a little brother somehow. A little brother who is only a few weeks away from turning 16, who doesn't know the Azarathian Spells she learned to prevent his own transformation into a Hellmouth.

It had just turned 6.00pm when David went for his first take. Wrap is at 7.00pm. It’s now 20-to. Soak up the history, guys. “And… cut,” says Rachel [Talalay, director]. “Beautiful. David, do you want to see it back?” David: “Would I!” As he watches the latest take replayed on the camera monitor, he laughs away happily to himself. “That’s good!” “The quiff’s brilliant, isn’t it?” says Phil [Collinson, producer]. “And look at the coat!!” Then another take. And another. Matt, the director of photography, asks: “Could the wind just be a little bit stronger, picking up the coat?” A cry goes up from somewhere in the studio: “STRONGER ON THE WIND!!!” The man with the wind machine yanks it up to 11. “Are my arms open wide enough?” David asks. “I think so. It’s ballet! We’ll shoot a head-to-toe for the outfit next, so people can cosplay,” says Rachel. “Then we’ll shoot something close. Then we’re done. How does that sound, David?” “Can I drop to my knees and do a Shawshank Redemption?” “You can. I’ll pass.” [...] “And this is the shot that will be rewatched a gazillion times,” says Rachel, checking back the final take of David, with his arms aloft, on the camera monitor before she calls a wrap. “But that’s what regeneration is. And pause it there.” She leans in close to the screen, as though trying to take in every pixel. “Yes. Good. David, are you happy?” “Are you happy?” David replies. “It’s been a long time since I’ve done one of these. But it does feel much more familiar than I thought it would.” He stares at the monitor. His Doctor superimposed over Jodie’s. Two Doctors, in one frozen image. Their arms flung wide open. Embracing the future. “Yes,” he says. “I’m happy.”

controversial opinion: i really like when worm characters have crisies about the whole "alien supercomputer is in my brain and subconsciously influencing me, i can't trust my own mind" thing BUT i think that it takes away from worm's theme of how trauma affects people on a deep level if shards are ACTUALLY seriously interfering with how people act.

Across the studio, executive producer Phil Collinson, director Rachel Talalay, and a growing number of crew members are huddled around a laptop. What are they watching? Rachel motions for David and DWM to join them. “I want to show you Jodie’s half of the regen,” she says. “Ooh yes, please,” says David. “This is exciting, isn’t it?” But secrecy is paramount. “What I also wanted to show you, David, is the few minutes leading up to it –” “But I’m not allowed to see?” David finds this very funny. Rachel presses play. We watch the Thirteenth Doctor’s final 45 seconds. “There she is!” exclaims David, as Jodie steps out of the TARDIS onto a rocky peak – the sea ahead of her, the sun starting to rise. “On a clifftop??” Phil looks on approvingly. “This is unusual,” he says. “Blimmin’ hell.” “It’s beautiful,” adds David. [...] Rachel’s last work on the series was the Twelfth Doctor’s 2017 swansong, Twice Upon a Time – which ended with Jodie’s very first scene. Having midwifed the Thirteenth, Rachel has returned to see in the Fourteenth, directing today’s regeneration and the first 2023 Special. “I am so lucky I get to do this,” she says. “That I get to re-regenerate David Tennant is phenomenal. I was already incredibly interested in returning. Just the fact that Russell was coming back was enough. When I was told it was David too, that took me to a whole other level.” In studio, on Rachel’s laptop, Jodie has finished regenerating. (David: “That’s all we’re getting? I want to know what happens next!”) Cut to black and an on-screen caption: “Over to you, Russell!” Rachel runs David through her camera moves. “We don’t want to pull out on Jodie, then keep pulling out on you. We want to push in on Jodie, so we want to reverse this shot, push in as the morph starts, your clothes disintegrate –” David: “Uh huh.” Rachel: “– and by the time we get into the final position, it’ll be fully you. Everyone will be like, ‘Holy wow! I thought this would be Ncuti Gatwa.’ And then, David, it’s over to you. Tell us what you want to do.” “Exactly the same as I did last time?” “Sure. Why not.” [...] On set, David is taking a selfie with the TARDIS. “I’ve got to send Jodie this,” he says, gleefully. “I’m texting her and sending her pictures, because obviously she isn’t here, but she’s my mate, and we’ve got her on a screen to line me up…”
