Surface Pressure
So, I was listening to the Song Surface Pressure from Encanto, and I got inspired.
In this AU, Jazz was the one to get turned into a Halfa. She took Danny's place when he got nervous and took the Photo for Sam, but tripped on her way out and hit the Activation Switch. She manages to hide her Ghostly Form from her Parents for about a month, before the Ghost Attacks begin.
She does mostly the same stuff as Danny, but because of her interest in psychology, she manages to actually figure out and befriend some of her Ghosts earlier than Danny did. But it's still insanely difficult work.
Because unlike Danny who just had to deal with School, their Parents, and Ghost Attacks, Jazz has to deal with School, Cooking, Cleaning, making sure Danny is safe, telling off her Parents, dealing with their Inventions, and constant Ghost Attacks every day. The pressures of being the only responsible person in their house weigh on her more than ever before.
And she also notices one more thing. Danny may not have been in the Portal, but he was in front of it, and he has been raised around Ectoplasm his entire life. The Portal was just the tipping point. Jazz realizes that Danny is slowly becoming like her, and that is yet another source of stress on her Plate.
(Maybe Sam and Tucker become Liminals as well? So she has to worry over all of them?)
Eventually Danny says enough is enough, and he tries to help, but Jazz refuses it at every turn.
Then they have a similar conversation to the Song, where Jazz let's loose some stuff about how much pressure she has been experiencing her whole life being the Strong one in the Family, the one who deals with everything and takes care of everything, the one who practically raised Danny when her Parents were busy (always).
She has to shoulder all the burdens of their life so that he can live a happy one, because that is her job as an Older Sister, and she needs to fulfill it. She feels the pressure building up every day, but has to keep it stamped down every time it bubbles up or she could snap and he needs her so she has to force it down.
But she knows she is cracking, and she knows that once Danny fully becomes a Halfa, it will become too much for her to keep in check. So she needs to do the one thing she hoped she would never have to do.
She Calls the Justice League, and turns in her Parents as Mad Scientists and Villains.

When , did you , Start Paring Aang and Toph and why do you pair them, Together are there similarities between the Two .?
Tumblr media
"Do you really think friendships can last more than one lifetime?"
Unlike Zutara that I remember well when I started ship them, I don't really remember when I started ship Taang (and Sukka). But, it was long time ago because I found them so cute together.
Taang have potential, but it needs time or another season to develop their feeling. Because, while Zutara had some romantic moments, Taang didn't have moments like that so it would be forced if they ended up together in season 3 (just like canon).
Then, how could they have potential if they didn't have romantic moments?
Their connection
Aang had connection with all his master bending. Katara was there to saved him, Zuko was there to captured him. Their connection with Aang makes these two characters always face each other and had their own development.
Meanwhile, Toph wasn't in the connection between Aang with Zuko and Katara. She had her own connection to Aang. In the swaps episode, Sokka and Katara saw a vision of their past, but Aang saw a vision of Toph before even meeting her in person.
There's an interesting theory that Aang not only saw a vision of his future, but also his past. Because in Nightmares and Daydreams episode, Toph has no face in his dream. It was parallel with Avatar Kuruk's lover that her face stolen by Koh.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Instead of water, Aang was connected to earth, Toph's element. Even though earth was a difficult element for Aang at first, but it was element that Aang often used in battle after mastering it.
Tumblr media
In final battle, earth was the element that re-opened his chakra and made him enter the avatar state.
They compliment each other
Just like fire and water, air is the opposite of earth. They are different, but compliment each other.
Air is the element of freedom. Aang is free person. He is Toph's first friend and also the one who offered her freedom, something she really wants and needs.
Earth is the element of substance. Toph is persistent person. She is the one who taught Aang to be tougher and stand his ground, something he really needs to get out of his comfort zone.
They have same vibes
Tumblr media
Toph and Aang are still kids and they act like kids. They like to have fun. That isn't something wrong. In fact, they have the same vibe so that neither one is having fun, while the other is taking care of him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, Aang is the one who makes Katara child again, but still they don't have the same vibe. Katara has a motherly nature, so Aang's childish nature makes their relationship like mother and son.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's different when Katara with Zuko. Zuko is more mature, so when Katara is with him, she doesn't have to act motherly. Instead, it's Zuko who look after her, brings her things, and reminds her to rest.
Their Culture
Tumblr media
Believe me or not, I found this from Aang/Kataang stand and it made me wonder. If Katara and Aang's cultures are different, then what makes them suitable to be together?
Cultural differences actually don't matter if they can respect each other, but this is Aang's expression of water tribe culture.
Tumblr media
Katara : Bato, it looks like home! Sokka : Everything's here, even the pelts! Aang : [Sarcastically.] Yeah, nothing's cozier than dead animal skins.
And this is Aang's expression of water tribe food
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hama : I wanted to surprise you! I bought all this food today so I could fix you a big Water Tribe dinner. Of course, I can't get all the ingredients I need here, but ocean kumquats are a lot like sea prunes if you stew them long enough. Aang : [Sticking his tongue out in disgust.] Great!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
According to the post I got, Aang can wear Earth Kingdom clothing because it doesn't use animal materials. He can also wear fire nation clothing, but I don't think all types of fire nation clothing, because there are fire nation clothing made of leather.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The people of Earth Kingdom aren't vegetarian, but not all of their food from animal based. Aang doesn't seem to have a problem with their food.
Btw, Aang has problem with Fire Nation food too.
Tumblr media
Aang : [Looking at a meat display. Disappointedly.] Oh, we're going to a meat place? Sokka : Come on, Aang, everyone here eats meat. Even the meat! [Points at a hippo cow eating a piece of meat swarming with flies.]
So, yeah, for me Aang and Toph not only have potential in the story, but also have chemistry with each other.

In Defense of Nami and Robin (Off Anon for the pics)
So, yes, Oda's way of drawing women is...not great. But they are written beautifully, and to be fair, Toei (The anime) makes the design issue even worse than it is in the manga. (Also, the way in which they ugly cry is amazing, full snot, tears, wobbly lips, red face).
Nami and Robin are some of the best written, well rounded female characters I've seen. They have similar arcs, with tragic backstories that shaped how they see the world and affects their actions and relationships to others, and they have to learn to rely on others, and ask for help and put their trust in others. They are integral to the plot, Luffy will never be able to achieve his dream of being the Pirate King without them.
So first of all, Nami
Tumblr media
Yes, this is probably the best picture of Nami's waist in the series, at least, post-time skip
Nami is the Navigator of the Strawhat Pirates, and an officer of the grand fleet. Unfortunately, the same face syndrome does start with her, a lot of the female characters will have her face. But design aesthetics aside, she is a wonder, complex, and dynamic character.
She was adopted by a marine women and raised on a tangerine farm with her older sister. They were poor, Nami always got her sister's hand-me-downs and their mom often skipped meals to make sure her girls had enough to eat. Nami, was an average 8 year old brat who did resent not having enough money to eat, or have clothes, or to buy navigation books like she wanted. But she was loved. So, of course, pirates attacked her village. They demanded a fine from each of the families in town based on adults and children in the household, and her mom was killed because she only had enough money for the girls. The same pirate, Arlong, made a deal with Nami, she could buy back her village for 100,000 belli, but in the meantime, she had to join his crew and work for him creating maps, where he preceded to work her until her fingers bled. She also became a thief and stole money from other pirates to add to the funds to buy her village back. This is where her catch phrase "I only love money and tangerines!" comes from. She intended to betray the Strawhats, but realized that they were the only people to ever show her love and kindness, and when Arlong betrayed her, she learned how to ask for help, to ease her burdens and rely on others when she needed it. Her scene where she was trying to cut her Arlong Pirate's tattoo off before asking Luffy for help remains one of the most profound moments in anime. While she was saved from Arlong, I wouldn't say she was necessarily a damsel in distress, she tried everything in her power, and part of her arc was accepting she didn't have to be alone. Luffy also never insisted on helping her because she was a weak girl or anything, he didn't care at all about her backstory, he just wanted to hurt whoever made her cry.
Apart of Nami's character is her love of money, desire to create maps and navigate the world, and how much she loves her friends/family and is willing to sacrifice for them, as well as the amount of forgiveness and kindness she is capable of and her love for children. She forgave one of the pirates that kept her as a slave, and when his friend, Camie, was almost sold into slavery, Nami didn't hesitate to spend all the money they had to buy her freedom. She discovered children were being experimented on by a crazy scientist and nearly went scorched earth.
When Nami came face to face with an enemy she couldn't beat, despite being a coward and thinking of herself as weak, she didn't back down because she refused to dismiss her captain. She showed incredible bravery and integrity, refusing to lie and break her ideals.
Tumblr media
But she can also hold her own as well, she doesn't always lose or need to be rescued. She fights with a Clima-Tact, a weapon that allows her to summon lightning and use weather phenomena to her advantage. She beat Kalifa, a government assassin, Miss-Double-Finger, one of the strongest assassins in Baroque Works, Hotori and Kotori, and various other pirates. She also is particularly agile and has pretty high endurance. (Bonus points, in an anime filler arc, she is the first character with on-screen confirmed kill)
She also is a very skilled navigator, thief, liar, can predict weather phenomenon, maintains the crew's money and budget, a con artist, and cartography (including sea charts which are very difficult). She loves fashion, money, shopping, and is vain. She also somehow maintains her mom's tangerine trees while on a sailing ship.
The fandom widely considered her to be a lesbian, but of course that is only coding/head canons. But she has had very close relationships to other women in the series, including Vivi, and has expressed that she "has a soft spot for strong marine women."
Nico Robin
Tumblr media
Her introduction to the series was strong, as she is one of the strongest members of the enemy faction Baroque Works. She was a serious threat, managing to infiltrate the Strawhat's ship and steal Luffy's hat and living to tell the tale, but she was also very mysterious and compelling. Despite being an enemy, she saved Luffy's life, and expressed amusement over his antics. When she tried to commit suicide in the tombs below Alabasta, after betraying her boss, Luffy saved her life, despite her protests. In return, she snuck back onto his ship and made herself his problem.
Like Nami, she has a tragic past that cause her profound trauma, sadness, a distrust in others, but ultimately, she found hope in the Strawhat pirates, and in Luffy, learning how to rely on them, and in return, being relied on. She can ask for help from them, but they ask for help from her as well.
When she was a child, her mother left to sail the seas and become an archaeologist. She was outcasted by her aunt, and her village, but she was accepted by the scholars who lived on her island. The island's name was Ohara. Against the other archaeologists wishes, she learned how to read the mysterious poneglyphs because she wanted to learn the true history of the world. Her first friend was a giant who washed up on the island and taught her how to laugh. But the World Government outlawed the language of the poneglyphs and learning about the true history. And so, they wiped her island clean off the map in an act called a Buster Call, and every single person but Robin was died. Desperate to capture her, they placed a 79,000,000 bounty on her head when she was only 8 years old, dubbed her a "devil child" and claimed she destroyed several marine battleships. For nearly 20 years she ran from organization to organization, only for all of them to betray her and try and turn her in.
While sailing with Luffy, it was the happiest she had ever been. Despite being an enemy just weeks earlier, they accepted her. Even when she was injured by another enemy, Zoro was pissed on her behalf. SO when the World Government finally caught up with her and blackmailed her into helping them while threatening to enact a Buster Call on the Strawhats (and an innocent island) she agreed to go along with them, even trying to sacrifice her own life so that the Strawhats can escape.
Of course, Luffy declared war on the Government and made Robin admit she didn't want to die, she wanted to live.
Robin is smart, capable, caring, funny, and strong. She just wants to learn history and have a family, and she suffered for years before she was finally able to be free enough to do so. She is a strong fighter because she had to be, and she is completely willing to became a monster and protect her friends. She hasn't been in many fights, but she won all of the ones she was in. She wasn't fooled by mind games and magic of enemies in Wano, and kept a calm and collected head. She is a skilled historian, archaeologist, osteologists, assassin, espionage, linguistics, and was a popular geisha. For most of the series she held the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, highest bounties in the crew. When an enemy threatened the crew, a different enemy pointed out that, (at least, With Luffy not there) Zoro and Robin were labeled as the strongest and most threatening members of the crew, capable of killing an enemy before the rest of the crew were even aware of the threat. Oh, and she has a demon form.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Other Female Characters: Kiku/O-Kiku/Kikunojo of the Fallen Snow
Tumblr media
A canonical transgender women who is also a samurai. She is completely accepted for who she is by everyone in the story, and is another strong and capable female character. She is shy and tries to keep a low profile (despite being 8 feet tall), but is more than willing to defend the weak and win back her home island.
The original ask mentioned healers, and there isn't a whole lot of female doctors/healers in One Piece but there is Dr. Kureha. Kureha is the oldest human character, wears crop tops in winter, and will beat Luffy with a rubber chicken and an axe for calling her old. She taught Chopper everything he knows. She is crotchety and stingy, but an amazing doctor and a professional.
Tumblr media
Boa Hancock:
Yes she is the most beautiful woman in the world, and yes, her design leaves some to be desired. But she is also a rape victim and a former slave, she hates men, and runs an empire of female pirates. She shows kindness to Luffy once he establishes he holds no sexual desire for her and wanted so save the lives of people he just met.

Tumblr media
Despite the character designs, One Piece has some of the best written female characters, even if at first glance they may seem like stereotypical shonen women, they hold much more complexity to them. They aren't all damsels in distress, but their strength goes beyond just being able to kick ass. They are kind and compassionate, and they kindness are rarely seen as a weakness. They are smart and experts in their fields of study, which is wide and varied, from history, cartography, science, and medicine. There are several female rulers of their countries, including Hancock, Vivi, and Big Mom. There is a variety of body types and faces, even if they are lacking in compared to male characters. All of their backstories are unique, fleshed out, and has an impact on their characters and their character arcs.
Did I spend two hours typing a 2000+ word essay on women and started to lose steam? Yes. Am I passionate about female characters in One Piece? Also yes. Can you tell I'm very gay for these characters? Probably. Am I sorry to the mod/followers for the long post? Eh, y'all asked for this lmao. Did I catch all the spelling mistakes in my frantically written essay. Maybe
For context, they are responding to this post about Nami and Robin

I don't have anything else to add other than great work

Anxiety (Inside Out 2) Insecurity Headcannons
(romantic)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I feel like she'd be extremely self conscious about a lot of things about herself, actually.
She would be anxious about her physical appearance, I think, as well as who she decides to hang around. She wants to make good impressions with everyone in HQ.
Some things I think she'd be anxious or embarrassed by about her own physical appearance is her overbite. She probably got it from sucking her thumb in her sleep, or nibbling at her fingertips or where her nails would be. I mean, I'm sure she already had one, but I feel like her anxious stims and sleep sucking might have made it worse. Not to mention her mouth is so big, and so is her head. Her head is proportionally much larger than her very scrawny body.
I think she would be genuinely slightly stressed about how not-pretty she is compared to the other girl emotions. I mean, a majority of the girl emotions in HQ are pretty in conventional ways, and even Ennui fits some sort of beauty standard, but I feel like she would think she doesn't fit to that standard.
She'd be anxious about her proportions, her overbite, her hair, her eyes. Everything. But not necessarily because she is envious of the other emotions, and wants to look like them - but moreso because she is worried that she is not on the same level as them in any way, beit physical or strategical.
I mean, she heavily idolizes Joy, and wishes to be a good leader like her.
I feel like she would compare herself to everyone around her...
Which may be why she takes it so quick to make Riley do a similar thing. Overcompensate to get along with the Fire-Hawks, because she herself thinks overcompensation is a successful tactic to "fit-in" to peers.
I feel like if she had a crush on someone it would definitely be no different. She would compare herself to them, and ultimately try to be more like them.
She would adopt some of your body language, or try to mimic it, subconsciously.
She would also adopt things that you were interested in. If you liked certain things, or specific emotions in HQ, she would make an effort to learn about them or get closer to them.
She would want to be in your social circle,
and if you had a specific type in a person, she would try her best to cater to it.
If you liked more confident people, she would... try. To be confident. Even if she failed, she would try. <3
If you liked people with curly hair, or straight hair, she might use a hair curler or straightener... Borrow it from disgust, in attempt to do her hair the way you like it.
If you liked taller people, she might get high heels. She wouldn't know how to use them, though. She'd be very clumsy in them.
If you were into controlling people, she would try to be moreso, though constantly nervous and apologetic in attempt and hopes to not go too far - however if you liked people who were more to themselves, and let loose - she would try her best to seem like she doesn't care, even though she does.
Realistically, I feel like she'd naturally be more in the middle ground. She can be jealous controlling and clingy, but it's subconscious. If put on the spot she'd be really anxious about doing so intentionally, or have trouble attempting to stop her habits of being such a control freak about things she cannot control.
If you told her it's okay to be herself, she would claim that you're 'too sweet', but she wouldn't believe it until like, the 100th time of you saying it.
She'd be... extremely easy to fluster. If you complimented her, especially the points in which she saw as a flaw, she would get super nervous and avert her eyes, probably giggle, or squeal. She'd probably accuse you of 'not meaning that...' whenever you do.
You compliment her overbite, tell her it's cute - Tell her that her hair is adorable the way that it is, or that her body is an adorable and quite fun proportion... And suddenly she's a giggly mess!
She might even accidentally have a voice crack or two.
I feel like it would genuinely mean the world to her if you told her she was perfect the way she is. I think it would genuinely be on her mind for hours, days, even MONTHS after you claiming that for the first time.
One step at a time, you would help her be more confident about the way she looks, sounds and acts. She would start to accompany her 'flaws' with your compliments, she may even start to like them herself because you like them so much.
The thought of her getting a bit gleaming grin due to your compliments on her teeth.
Of course, it wouldn't be you alone, - she is part to thank for her own confidence boosting, as she is changing her own perspective. But you definitely would help.

What is the Downfall of TGST? You included it in that eggfic meme, but I've searched Scribblehub and Bigcloset and found not a sign of it.
Okay SO
Chapter 1: The Rise of TGStoryTime
In 2011, a man going by the name of Joe Six-Pack launched the TGStorytime website or "archive," with the express idea of creating a repository for fiction focused on forced feminization and similar "TG" fetish content.
Though it took a bit to find its footing, it nonetheless became a place where all kinds of people could share their stories about men becoming women, usually against their will, after which naughty shenanigans would usually occur.
It also became a place where many trans women both read and later on wrote their first piece of trans fiction (yours truly included). Other trans authors that got their start here were QuietValerie, Purplecatgirl and Trismegistus Shandy, each of which would later (or at the same time) make their name on other fiction hosting platforms as well.
As an aside, an interesting feature of TGST is the fact that every single story needs to be vetted by "the moderation team," which has at times included One (1) member: Joe Six-Pack himself. I'm sure that won't be relevant later.
Everything was going reasonably well, until one fateful day.
Chapter 2: The Problem With Joe Six-Pack
In 2020, a new user joined the website. I have no intention of speculating towards intention, but the effect they had was immediate.
They wrote extremely short stories, often between 50 and 100 words, only a few paragraphs, of people who were forcibly turned into women. What made this so egregious was the denigrating way it referred to these "new women," sometimes using slurs and other speech that has been hurled at trans women to dehumanize or simply demean them.
There was an immediate backlash, the now-quite-substantial trans userbase of the website standing up for themselves and asking that Joe Six-Pack, the host and active owner, do something about this new user's low-effort but offensive stories. At the very least, that he please stop personally approving them.
He refused.
He refused on the basis that TGST was never a place for queer people to find each other, nor was it a place for trans stories. As he put it, TGstorytime was repository. It was an archive of TG - not Trans - stories, one that was his sacred duty to maintain. He was not a moderator, he was simply an archivist. He also asserted that transphobia was a somewhat normal response on the internet and that moderating it would lead to a witch-hunt that would see his website shut down eventually. He would not stop vetting - and personally approving - stories that were rife with transphobia.
Chapter 3: The Exodus
In the following months and years, a large part of the trans community moved away from TGST, spreading to the neighboring websites of RoyalRoad, BigCloset and Fictionmania. Some tried to make their own websites like Fluff4Me and Offprint Café.
But the biggest move was to Scribblehub, one of the few websites that not only allowed users to mark their stories with "Transgender" as a built-in tag, but also had moderators that listened to vulnerable minorities when they raised issues. As a result, many trans women moved over to the at-the-time primarily manga-and-light-novel brained site, causing a pretty significant upheaval and forcing the moderation team to make some changes to the way it weighted its "trending" tab, since it quickly became dominated by transfem fiction.
Despite these changes, Scribblehub remains the best place to find new, and importantly, free trans fiction online, written by both established as well as up-and-coming authors.

Do you think buddie was meant to go canon in S4, how do you think they would have done it?
I fully believe that buddie was intended to go canon in early s5 after eddie was shot. there was so much surrounding buck’s reaction to eddie being shot, eddie only focusing on making sure buck wasn’t also hurt, buck breaking down in front of chris, the discussion of the will…. they set up those building blocks to showcase that there was something deeper there with buck and eddie and then……. season 5 happened bc KR took over (FOX also had to do with the decision as well but…) but i think Tim was trying to intentionally write them into a corner but was moved to LS before he could ever get there himself.
I think s5 would have started out with eddie having the same realizations about not wanting to be with ana, and that it would lead to him reexamining his feelings for buck when buck would have been the one to comfort him through it. I think this version of s5 taylor would have noticed buck’s dedication to eddie and had a heary to heart with him about how he needs to be true to himself, and we would have gotten buck accepting his feelings (i also hc that in this timeline, buck knew he was bi already he just never felt the need to bring it up) and he and taylor would part ways as friends (taylor wouldn’t fuck everything up in this universe either) and buck would want ti confront his feelings, but before he got the chance to, eddie would leave the 118. buck would view this as eddie leaving him behind and not face the music. they would follow a similar path of canon s5 leading up to the big PTSD breakdown in 5x13 where buck would go to eddie’s when chris called. we would see buck immediately fall into place to take care of eddie (just like in canon) and it would lead to plenty of moments where they are just on the edge of something but never cross the line. they continue to dance around each other; buck saying he wants to give eddie some time to breath post-breakdown, eddie saying he doesn’t want buck to rush into a relationship after taylor (obviously not knowing the bereakup was bc of his feelings for eddie) and then finally in 5x18 while eddie and may are having their simultaneous arcs of what comes next, they would have a heart to heart where may would tell eddie he needs to stop waiting around and go after what makes him happy— this would lead to an emotional confession scene at hen and karen’s vow renewal where eddie would tell buck exactly how he feels, and buck, in lieu of a reply, kisses eddie and that would be how s5 ended, ushering buddie canon in s6 where we see them stumble, the whole wack-ass donor plotline would go away bc eddie would be there to talk some sense into buck, eddie would tell the buckley parents to fuck off, buck would still get struck by lightning and eddie would grapple with the idea of losing someone else (to give that shannon angst another stroke), we still get the poker date where it’s still a fluffy buddie moment, buck would continue recovering but he and eddie would grow distant bc buck would have similar post-lightning strike stress about not knowing what to feel, and eddie sould be repressing his emotions about it— lead to some angst with natalia flirting w buck, buck being flattered at someone not treating him like a living corpse, eddie getting pissed st this woman for thinking buck’s death is “cool” and thinking that buck might leave him for natalia, they have a mini (VERY mini) devorce era 2.0 that would get resolved during the freeway collapse and s6 would end with a bathena parallel of them getting secret married. then s7 would have been completely different bc we would have no racist man, no weird nun storyline, no doppelgänger bullshit, etc. We would get some secretly married buddie, possibly some more discussions of catholic guilt bc eddie doesn’t know if he’s ready to come out to his parents yet, eddie would come out to them and they would react badly, and s7 would end w ramon and helena starting a custody battle w buck and eddie over christopher.
yes i basically just rewrote the entirety of s5-7 but we deserved better than what we got from each of those seasons so 🤷🤷 if the creators won’t fo it themselves, someone has to.
anyway i hope this answered your question anon lmao <3 i kinda just sat down and started typing this out with no real clear direction but honestly… i might consider a series of fix-it fics to rewrite s5-7 in the future… but i make no promises

Heyo. Could you do the drama queens (Kaeya and Diluc) if they got an injury and their SO had to care for them?
i see them both being really similar so i hope you dont mind theyre together ;-;
He does not want you to know that he's been injured. He's very good at hiding it from you, getting it wrapped up by the Church and swearing the staff not to tell you about it at all. You don't even need to go get him from the medics, surprised when he comes home a little earlier than anticipated.
The injury doesn't hinder any of his daily activities because he refuses to let it, carrying on as if there's nothing wrong. As far as he's concerned he's fine and you do not need to worry about him at all - he just needs some time and then he'll be able to fully recover.
You'll know something's strange when he refuses to dress down for bed. Diluc runs warm so he typically wears a much looser shirt and Kaeya just always preferred to sleep without a shirt so when he refuses to do so you know something's up. He already wasn't letting you touch him, citing some mild bruising from fighting but now this was far too suspicious.
Once you find out there's no way he's going to be working. You force him onto bedrest, going back to the Church where they tell you they tried to tell him he needs you to take care of him but he absolutely refused to let that happen. You scold him for acting so stubbornly, taking care of him at the same time. You're allowed to be upset with him considering he hid something so massive, taking his scolding in stride and only pouting minimally.
You'll need to also tell him to stop hiding injuries from you, starting a routine of giving him a quick once over every time he gets home. It's the only way you can be sure he isn't hiding something from you and despite how he feels, he can't help but melt at how kind it is of you to want to care for him so well.

Celebratory Blue Lock Boi Yandere Interpretations: Ryusei Shidou, Yoichi Isagi, Meguru Bachira, Reo Mikage, Rin Itoshi
Tumblr media
A/N:...Hey hey y'all...🙂 Ok, so I fuckin' lied I am so sorry. 😭 These was sposed to be for my birthday yestaday but the day got so busy and I was tied den a mug, so posting these did not happen. 🙃 But! Alas, I am here now, and I have for you all my introductory yandere interpretations for 5 of the blue lock boyos!
Keep in mind, I am still getting caught up on the anime so if anything reads off, I apologize. I'll very likely either come back and adjust these as I become more familiar with their personalities or just post a whole new set for each boy.
Anyway, enjoy!
Tumblr media
Ryusei Shidou:
Let me just say right off the bat that I get the strong notion that Ryusei is gonna swiftly become my favorite character the more exposed I am to him (like I already love his design and that weird sexual edge his character possesses 😏)
That aside, as a Yandere, I envision that he maintains that same intense energy he has about football, it just manifests a little differently
You make his heart “explode,” in a similar fashion to his precious football- either that, or you possess an “explosive” quality within yourself that draws him in
I saw someone say that outside of a few specific circumstances, Ryu is a pretty chill dude, which I think is 100% true
And I believe this can even apply to you, in the Yandere sense as well
Ryusei can be intense, and a little monopolizing
He's also somewhat possessive
But for the most part, as long as he knows you're his and you continue to make him “explode,” Ryusei isn't the worst Yan to have
Now, in my research, I have seen some interpretations of him where he’s much more sadistic than I personally envision him to be, which of course is fine, but just know that my Ryusei can’t really be bothered to act sadistically unless you try to fight him
Exactly why you’d try to do that is beyond me, but if you did happen to want to start a physical altercation with Ryu, he may be inclined to be a little rough with you, just to show a bit of what he’s capable of and also keep you in check
Tumblr media
Yoichi Isagi:
I just look at Yoichi and a single phrase comes to mind- “he’s a sweetheart unless provoked”
You, provoke him
You make this nagging little voice in the back of his head make the Spongebob “wee-woo” sound at like max volume every time you’re in each other’s vicinity
Yandere Yoichi adores you
He’s like a little pup around you, always wanting attention and affirmation and reassurance that he’s the best, and the he’s going to be the best, and that throughout it all you’ll never leave him
But! He can also be kind of intense and maybe a bit of an asshole
Like just look at him and tell me you don’t get that vibe
I’m new to the game as it relates to Blue Lock but from what I’ve gleaned, Yoichi has a sort of metaphorical switch that turns on and off depending on the circumstance
Things get heavy when he’s on the field, and that’s when his “Ego” comes out
It makes him more cocky and confident, from what I understand, and I’d say the same thing applies where it concerns you
For the most part, Yandere Yoichi is just your average puppy with a thigh fetish
But let the “Ego” come out, and now he’s more domineering, controlling and patronizing
Try not to trigger that part of him though, and Yoichi is actually a pretty ok Yandere to have
Tumblr media
Meguru Bachira:
Meg’s a weirdo but one of the lovable variety
He’s a very eccentric character, as I’m sure anyone who’s familiar with Blue Lock will know
He talks about the “monster” that inhabits his psyche and manifests itself when he plays soccer
I don’t particularly subscribe to the idea that this “monster” influences his actions on a normal, day to day basis (though that could be the case and I just missed it in my research) but I can definitely see how one would think it does
I will say that years of simple…cohabitation (?) with the monster has definitely left an indelible mark on Meguru’s mind
Yandere Meguru especially
To Yandere Meguru Bachira, you are perhaps the most important thing in his life
Being bullied for so long and so relentlessly probably wasn’t the best for his mental and emotional wellbeing, as you can imagine, so Meguru has been in desperate need of someone to come along and show him genuine love and support
He’s found that in you, and that’s part of the reason his Yandere personality/tendencies make an appearance when he’s with you
He’s definitely clingy and wants all your attention all the time, and he’s also not very knowledgeable on what it means to give someone their personal space
He doesn’t give you much autonomy either, really preferring to do things for you when given the chance
He can get a little intense, but he’d never hurt you
Physically, at least
And if by some off chance he were to hurt you otherwise, it would never be on purpose
All that said, I do kind of think that Bachira would be one of the slightly more uncomfortable Yans to have, simply on account of his neediness
Tumblr media
Reo Mikage:
FIrst off, let me just say, eat the rich 😤
Chile when I was doin’ my research and saw dis dude’s frankly ridiculous net worth I was appalled
But if he smart enough to know what to do with the money and assets then I guess it’s whateva 🤷🏾‍♀️
Anyway, that aside, let’s focus back up 😂
I could potentially see Reo being one of the more strict Yan’s to have
He just has so much to protect, and that includes you
He’s also probably very used to getting the things he wants and having things go his way that he can’t imagine you not reciprocating his feelings, or at the very least seeing the benefit in choosing him over everyone else
And as we’ve seen (me only partially really, I’m still makin’ my way through the show 🙃) he already has some form of an attachment issue as it relates to Nagi, or alternatively, the things he’s invested time and energy in and on
Which, as you can imagine, would include you, should he decide to pursue you
As a Yandere, Reo is admittedly controlling and a bit smothering
But he’s just like that ‘cus he wants to ensure that nothing will separate you two!
It’s innocent really, honest!
And given Reo’s reputation, it would be rather difficult to convince others that he’s, well, kinda crazy if you were so inclined
But other than that, as long as you remain loyal, Reo’s a pretty fair Yandere
Tumblr media
Rin Itoshi:
Whoo boy, this one’s a tough nut to crack
I honestly think Rin is more tsun than yan but I could definitely see where the Yandere aspect of him could potentially rear its head
I’m not 100% up on my knowledge of what the hell his deal is with his brother, but from what I’ve gathered, there’s this mostly one-sided rivalry (on Rin’s part) towards Sae (his brother, for the uninformed) because he (Sae) refuses to acknowledge Rin in soccer and he abandoned their shared soccer dream from when they were little
That all being the case, I really like the concept that Rin is a Yandere for you because A.) something about you warms something cold and dead inside him and B.) you recognize him as talented and capable outside of his brother’s influence, and he (Rin) desperately clings to that affirmation
Rin is undoubtedly possessive, wanting nothing more than to hide you away where only he can access you or, alternatively, make it known to everyone, in whatever way, that you belong to him
Rin is also somewhat domineering and controlling, as he still doesn’t want anything to tarnish his reputation
I think as a Yandere he’s a little more open to PDA (not by much at all, but just a little)
I also think that, as a Yandere, Rin can be fairly intense without realizing it
Like during games and whatnot, he ups the ante ‘cus he knows you’re watching and he wants to impress you, keep your attention, and have earned your praise when he’s done
That could also apply to him normally sorta, but I think the behavior is more prominent in Yandere mode
All-in-all, Yandere Rin isn’t the most terrible, he’s mostly just…needy, in his own special way

Don't Make Me Feel Alive I Chapter 7
Kenjaku (Pseudo-Geto) × Fem!Reader
ABOUT: Diagnosed at an early age with an illness that slowly deteriorated your body; you went from being a promising sorcerer to a retired husk of your once former self until he found you, offering you an opportunity to live instead—not that you had a choice to refuse.
CHAPTER SUMMARY: As his own feelings for you become clear, the more he wants to keep you away from everything and everyone else.
Trigger warning: Threats of violence, extremely dubious consent/coercion & general hints of insanity because it’s Kenjaku.
< Previous Chapter • Next Chapter >
7. Electrify
As the week continued to pass you by, you found yourself feeling all the more confused regarding his treatment towards you.
Kenjaku’s initially teasing personality managed to fade into something resembling cold indifference and just as you got used to that side, he once again settled back into something warmer again.
Leaving you completely and utterly confused.
And even while you remained alive just as he had promised, his actions left you feeling just a bit… uncertain?
As such, even despite what he had done to you—you started to develop feelings of something that you probably shouldn’t dare explore, finding that he played the role of a caretaker a little too well for your liking.
Was there something wrong with you for not hating him more than you did? It wasn’t that you were head over heels for him, since even just seeing his cold dead eyes watch over yours made your skin crawl and your senses dry heave, but… there was something beyond that sense that you couldn’t quite grasp.
Such masterful management and knowledge of your illness which otherwise threatened to consume you, proved surprisingly helpful and that was doing strange things to your head.
He hurt you but he also took the pain away.
With that, the week then finally slowly concluded while he continued to conduct experiments on you, testing the recovery times of your waning condition, leaving you feeling conflicted in your own building confusion.
(And his too.)
The experiments continued to reduce only to be replaced with subtle acts of affection, which left you feeling equal parts disgusted as well as strangely wanted. Things like his hand lightly brushing against your shoulder when he would pass you by or how he would gently move your hair out of your face while you rested. Things like ensuring you would stay warm, especially as your condition gradually worsened.
And as he noticed this—his hands so warm against your own, he couldn’t help but shake the feeling that this whole project of his was doomed to fail. Regardless of what he did, the battery only prolonged your life, doing nothing to actually stall the condition.
In short, you were alive but you shouldn’t have been. Realistically, you should have been dead by now if you didn’t have the pendant.
Such a realisation of what must have been a constant state of pain for you stopped him in his tracks momentarily, understanding that regardless of what he did, that you might not make it, after all.
And for the first time in a long while, he didn’t like that outcome, not wanting specifically you to die.
Making another decision, he decided to seldom complete the rest of the tasks leftover for the month, in turn leaving you behind for the remainder of it with only some occasional visits, testing to see if this would improve your condition.
(Maybe it was something to do with him, he thought, so what if he removed himself from the picture…?)
This decision of his left you feeling even more uncertain but at least this sort of life was one you were familiar with already; it was strangely similar to the same sort of routine that you had back at the hospital except this time your surroundings felt more personal.
Nobody else had access to the location he kept you so safely tucked away within so even while left alone, you would very unlikely meet with another soul—locking you away in what seemed to be the perfect prison, providing both optimal protection while allowing you to rest without any interruption.
Food, however, was taken care of by an associate, leaving you behind meals at the front door. Just one other person had access with a key and was given a specific instruction to do it discreetly and to never talk to you, lest their head end up served on a platter instead.
And as the month continued to close to an end, Kenjaku found that his own feelings towards you didn’t waver a single bit, the sense of emotional investment running abundantly strong.
Staring at your worsened state, he found himself feeling frustrated as your condition continued to deteriorate.
“Disappointing,” he muttered.
You didn’t reply to him as he continued to focus his sights over your body, hiding his concern quite well. He learned how to mask his feelings over the course of the past millennia; people come and go, after all.
(And all in the blink of an eye.)
But there was just something about you.
“I’d like to try something with you,” he spoke up again after a while, taking his hands off of you as he took a step back. He decided to actually go forward with the plan he had earlier in mind, refusing to admit defeat in your potential just yet.
“Try what…?” you asked, your tone laced with worry. He was being hurtful and your mind immediately jumped to something perverse.
He looked over at your body, noticing your lack of muscle mass (which only further fed into your unease), finding that while you did look better than you did at the hospital, you were nowhere near the usual standard of a fit sorcerer.
“You can’t fight, right?” he asked you.
“I can’t,” you confirmed, sounding slightly relieved that the direction of the conversation didn’t sound sexual after all.
Kenjaku simply nodded in response as he suspected as much, feeling disappointed even though his smile did not reveal his true feelings. He scrapped the plan in his mind to have you involved with any sort of combat, even if he did intend to keep you around as a trump card—deciding that he would only do so if all other options had run out, knowing that fully utilising your technique would very likely kill you.
So instead of involving you in direct combat, he chose to explore alternative uses of your technique instead, thinking back to when you had no issue during the time spent training bursts of it earlier on in the year. Electricity was versatile, after all, so he could simply tweak your technique to be supportive rather than offensive instead.
“Try to shock me using as little energy as you can,” he suggested, not wanting to damage his own body either while also wanting to see if you were capable of accomplishing what he had in mind.
You nodded in response, feeling him unlock the limitations of your technique. The sparks of it manifesting through what felt like your literal bloodstream as you focused your cursed energy. You continued to lock your hands into a sign, channelling a small surge that he chose to not intercept, instead assessing its potency.
His skin numbed briefly as a tingling sensation washed over his body, however only temporarily. This was enough to give him an idea with how to finalise your potential; still rendering you useful which will have meant that this whole experiment wasn’t a waste of time, at least not completely.
“Did that drain your energy at all?” Kenjaku asked you, his eyes locked on the stone.
“No,” you replied.
A smile returned onto Kenjaku’s lips as he finally relaxed, his curiosity peaking as he desired to hone your capabilities further, seeming to shift his mood into something playful at last.
“Could you channel the electricity a little higher then?” he asked, trying to push you past your boundaries in a safely conducted manner, ready to intercept your attack if you misinterpreted his request as an instruction to demonstrate, but you never did.
“I-I can,” you confirmed with a slightly shaky tone, “but no more than what we practised.”
“In the future, I’d like for you to try and see if you could focus the electricity to connect at a directed point, such as a hand or a leg rather than aiming for the core,” he explained, having an idea.
He spoke in a gentler tone with you that time, not wanting to subject you to mockery just yet. He was capable of kindness, but he was just… selective with who he showed it to.
There was fake kindness and then there was the real thing. Most of the people who crossed his path would get a taste of something fabricated, while maybe just a few would get something genuine.
(And you were one of the very few.)
“I could try,” you replied, however sceptical of its effectiveness, “would that be enough, though?”
“It might be,” he speculated, “from what I can understand about your technique’s use from before, you could only execute quick bursts on your opponents so the shock never lasted,” his volume increasing, excited to flesh out his plans, “so, if you could channel a slower, maybe more of a deliberate shock… then you could likely get away with causing some serious nerve damage.”
“So I’m basically a taser?” you asked, attempting to keep up to speed with his explanations.
“Something like it,” Kenjaku smiled, amused by your comparison, “if you could cause weakness or numbness in your opponents, if even temporarily, then you would be a huge help.”
“And this wouldn’t be stopped by my opponents?” you asked, not quite buying its effectiveness.
“We can work on the speed of your attacks later on,” he reassured, “as long as you can protect yourself from both a distance as well as up close, then you can still be quite powerful.”
“I-I see… so in the end the physical training was pointless…” you sighed.
“Ah-ah,” Kenjaku shook his head, “I taught you how to amplify your reflexes, rest assured that while you’re not fighting head on, that you will have a role. While knowing how to intercept physical danger.”
You nodded once again as you understood your involvement in his plans a little clearer now; your role essentially being a deterant.
Still, you remained uncomfortable with the prospect of helping him, knowing that he was likely up to something potentially devastating, unable to trust him at all after he had hurt you, even if he did fulfill his promise to keep you alive.
It wasn’t as though you had a choice with your involvement either way, so you tried your best to endure what you could manage while your mind pushed the remaining troubling reality away.
Kenjaku continued to swat away at the bursts of energy you kept feeding him, carefully observing your energy output as he did so. He mentally noted that these attacks, while small, were powerful and kept you still grounded on your feet—so that much was already a success.
Whether or not he would choose to have you take on a combative role in the future come autumn, he figured that you should keep practising maintaining control of your energy regardless. It didn’t matter how much rest you got as your condition would continue to develop either way, so you might as well strengthen yourself where you could. The battery would keep you alive in the process either way; just as long as you didn’t fully deplete it.
And as the energy from the pendant finally drained itself to its lowest limit, sleep followed suit, finding that you could last a surprisingly long time if you managed your technique efficiently. Just as he promised you. This proved to be a breakthrough, both to him as well as you because for the first time in years, you could control something that you had to give up so long ago.
Kenjaku meanwhile felt himself grow further attached to you, seeing you as his prized project and maybe even as his property, understanding that he didn’t quite see you as an equal, let alone as your own person because the achievements you had accomplished were forged from his own hand.
As such, that longing hunger seemed to return again, wanting nothing more than to claim your body as his own again and again, equal parts pride clouded by a desire that he once more couldn’t get enough of.
He continued to stare at you as you slept, that familiar returning. Kenjaku already knew fully well that you couldn’t stop him if he woke you up but at the same time, he longed for something slightly different.
This time he wanted to relieve tension.
Tension that you caused from being so unpredictable with your success.
And for that, he required your cooperation.
Gently, he nudged you awake; tracing circles around your skin with his lingering fingertips, slowly pushing you back into a waking state. He noticed that the amulet wasn’t completely dim just yet, so in his eyes that was just enough energy for you to spare.
Kenjaku moved himself closer as he sat by you. His palms moving over your shoulder and sweeping your hair out of the way. His fingers clasped around your scalp, getting a feel for how you felt completely in his grasp.
Locking your head into place, he guided you slowly over his lap. Bless your heart as you tried to resist, but he didn’t let you go.
Tightening his fingers around your skull, he lowered his voice, “Consider it as helping me.”
That particular feeling of dread returned and the guilt combined while he proceeded to pull you by the hair to meet with his inner lap. Your eyes widened into clear lucidity as he parted his robe, presenting you with his thickened length; the tip throbbing; leaking precum in its excited state.
You understood what he wanted for you to do right away as he drew you closer to meet with his twitching cock. You mentally recoiled as you felt it poke against your lips, not even daring to look up to face the look of contempt he was likely giving you.
Initially, you resisted by daring to pull away but he didn’t let you. His fists closed as he pulled at your hair, the strands burning your skull as he tugged tight. You reluctantly surrendered and opened up your mouth when the pain became unbearable, feeling the sickening sensation of his meat pushing against your tongue, sliding into your mouth.
Kenjaku leaned back as his legs widened; his head tilting back in pleasure. He bounced your head to suck at a preferred speed, his black eyes slowly following down to stare blankly at the sight before him. He never let you see it, but a slight smile tugged at his lips as he watched you gag on his dick; enjoying the sight you gave him.
You continued to reluctantly continued to give into his needs and he eased the pressure by continuing to guide you while rhymically thrusting upwards; feeling your throat envelop his shaft—your body began to however struggle; your eyes beginning to water as he rammed himself as far as he could to dominate you.
Through this whole thing, he remained silent on purpose. He wanted to hear you sing for him through the noises of your struggling gagging to fill out the otherwise silent room.
Eventually though, his grip on the bedsheets seemed to tighten as a violent release approached. It was a pity he couldn’t last longer, he thought, but this was from a spur of passion, he supposed. He did try to keep your mouth occupied for as long as he could help it though, not quite caring in the heat of the moment if you could properly breathe or not.
Quickening the pace a final time; a seething gasp followed by a strained grunt escaped his lips at last. His stomach tightened as he continued to force your head down a final time, burying his cock in you while keeping his hands trained on your neck, squeezing it ever so slightly before completely, emptying himself into before finally allowing you to rest.
His body reeled as electrified currents coursed through while thick loads shot out of him and into you. He helped dislodge you from his length as a trail of webbed cum, mixing with saliva followed, spilling even more from you coughing in the aftermath.
Feeling satisfied, he sat there for a moment longer to recover. His hands ran affectionately this time through your hair, the corners of his mouth anchoring into a frown when he felt you flinch away.
Keeping you close to him anyway even as the mess continued to cling onto your chin; something stirred within him as he slowly surrendered himself into deep thought. Pulling your hair slightly back so that he could look you in the eyes, his old barren pupils studied you, searching for something else.
Initially like before, you instinctively averted your gaze. Kenjaku took that however as a sign of submission, seeming to answer what he was seeking out from you.
A dangerous thought formed in his mind as a result.
“[Name],” he spoke, not asking you for your attention but instead directly demanding it.
He moved his hands deliberately over to your neck as he spoke, keeping his fingers wrapped right around your throat while he choked you with just a bit more pressure than before.
You gasped in response as your breath hitched, your words immediately silenced with how he held onto you. He smiled as he noticed that but then his expression turned vacant again.
“If you ever do this sort of thing with anyone else, ever again, just know that I won’t hesitate to kill you,” he lied, flashing a playful smile, although he would hurt you if you did so, wanting for you to understand exactly what your place with him now was.
You tried to reply but then his hands tightened, suppressing every little sound.
“Do you understand what I’m asking from you?” he added, wanting for you to express loyalty to him. For some reason, he felt disgusted at the prospect of sharing your body with others.
You tried nodding in agreement instead, even if this whole thing wasn’t consensual to begin with. Not the first time and certainly not the second time either.
Feeling you do just that, Kenjaku’s gaze then intensified, releasing you from his intense confinement.
“Correct choice,” he smiled, his demeanour thawing as the pressure wafted away, seeming almost playful again. He then let you go, encouraging you to go and get yourself cleaned up at last.
However, you were now completely exhausted as the pendant waned so you couldn’t really do anything other than just exist. You managed to wash up but your stride wobbled and your steps didn’t quite connect on the way back.
“Are you able to walk at all?” he asked you, grabbing onto your hand as he noticed you stumble, “I’m needed somewhere soon, so I’d like for you to come with me, if possible.”
“Not yet,” you warily replied, your voice shaking as you spoke.
“Sleep a bit then,” he said this time, offering you that same sort of confusing warmth despite what he just did to you, “I’ll wake you up in a bit.”
***
He kept to his promise as you felt a hand nudge at your shoulders, prompting you to awake a second time. Initially you flinched, backing away just in case he wanted something more from you before remembering the reason.
It was still dark outside, but he relented as he coaxed you out of bed and got you to look slightly more presentable before leading you right outside.
“I’m tired,” you mumbled to yourself, despite the pendant looking brighter than before. As long as it was glowing, you had no excuse, “where are we going…?”
“A meeting like before,” he replied, choosing to honour his promise of letting you know more about his plans if you really wanted to, “you don’t have to participate but you can listen in.”
“With the uh, group—the group that, the group that-“ you tried to reply, your mind still clouded with the remnants of sleep.
“Mahito’s group, yes, the cursed spirit alliance,” Kenjaku replied, confirming what you failed to say.
“Do I have to work with them?” you asked, seeking clarification because why else would he have you meet with them again. It felt weird talking to him as if nothing had happened earlier on, but you didn’t really have a choice.
“No,” he replied bluntly.
“Then why-“
“—to understand your place as well as to understand theirs,” he interjected.
You yawned again as the rest of the walk passed by in silence, Kenjaku finally slowing the pace as you had both reached your destination. The alliance loitered around in an abandoned factory this time with the patch-faced cursed spirit swinging around on what appeared to be broken machinery. The volcano-headed curse meanwhile simply sat idly by. The pale muscular curse was also present, seemingly mesmerised by a plant sprouting through the concrete while muttering in a language that you couldn’t understand.
Much like before, you had very little interest in participating in their meeting even if you did have an opportunity to listen in this time, choosing to wait in the shadows instead. This was the second time that you encountered the death painting who also seemed to be parked quite far as well.
Personally, Choso felt that his involvement in these talks wasn’t particularly needed as his role was to act on direction, not quite caring about either side’s ideals.
Kenjaku, on the other hand noticed this, not particularly enjoying seeing the two of you interact again, knowing how it made him feel the first time. He didn’t quite understand why you both seemed to get along and it irked him.
This was something you didn’t understand either, but you didn’t actually mind talking to Choso about his continued interest in humanity.
“What types of emotions do you feel daily?” the death painting continued to ask you, seeming genuinely curious to know what it meant to be truly human.
“It depends,” you replied in consideration, “most days it’s indifference, but that’s likely due to my illness. I think some people feel that way too even when they’re healthy though, or maybe just contentment. Maybe stress if they work or study. Maybe even anxiety to an extent.”
It felt strange explaining the fundamental concepts of emotions to someone who listened so intently, but you didn’t see any harm with letting him know such things.
Choso personally found that your answers carried a lot of weight for him, feeling more and more curious from each passing second that you spoke.
Then he caught onto a detail and his brows furrowed, his bruised complexion paling as he squinted his eyes, “Your illness?”
But then as he waited for your response, the meeting seemingly concluded and you were dragged away with Kenjaku before you could reply to him at all.
Choso watched with a hint of confusion as your company gradually disappeared from his sight, feeling frustrated that his questions were left unanswered once again.
Eventually returning back to where he kept you, Kenjaku felt that gnawing need to maintain your loyalty towards him surface again—invading a part of him that he refused to understand. To see you talk and even smile in the presence of someone else when you had never even warmed up to him the same way felt strangely… insulting?
As such, instead of reverting back to his cold demeanour, he chose to take a different approach with you instead. Even if this meant limiting your life even further, he didn’t care for the consequences as long as kept control of you.
“Don’t talk to them again,” Kenjaku spoke, pushing you down and watching you fall; your body meeting with the bed—not quite caring if you missed and hit the floor instead.
“To who…?” you asked in a state of confusion; the sudden anxiety draining the amulet sooner than you’d like. Suddenly you felt tired again. Weary, even and your eyelids dropped shut.
However, Kenjaku refused to let you sleep, forcing you to sit up as he loomed over you.
“Don’t even try to befriend any of them; their roles are too different from yours,” he continued to drill, keeping your attention focused on him, “you have their place and they have theirs, so don’t intervene.”
“I wasn’t intervening, though,” you replied.
“Then how do I put it lightly? Don’t even acknowledge their very existence.”
Internally, Kenjaku understood that what he was currently feeling was very likely a degree of jealousy, wondering yet again if this was fuelled by his vessel rather than his own mind, considering the notion of whether he would care or not if he inhabited anyone else.
Whatever it was, be it his own personality or the one intertwining with him, he stood by the belief of not wanting for you to interact with the cursed spirits, despite being the one who requested your attendance in the first place.
He seemed to take this issue more personally than he liked to admit, seeing any deviation as misunderstanding your role and mingling with his deceitful alliance as sabotage, even if it was an absurd conclusion.
This must have been your fault too, because if you actually listened to him and just did as he told without question (despite that being exactly what you were doing), then he wouldn’t be in this position with you to begin with.
Not thinking logically for a change, Kenjaku pushed your body even further into the mattress and kept your writhing body secured under his hand to deliver you a message instead; to ensure that you wouldn’t dare stray from what he brought you here to do so, even if he wasn’t quite sure himself what that truly meant anymore.
“Your only role is to stay and listen. You can understand that, right?” he asked you.
With an exasperated tone, you stuttered in a questioning voice, “Th-that’s what I’ve b-been doing…?”
“Incorrect, but you’ll learn,” he drilled, “don’t talk to anyone else.”
“But it wasn’t anything bad-“
Kenjaku interjected, his voice sharp as he cut you off, “—Did I stutter?”
“No…” you quietly replied in a sulk.
“Then use your ears for once and actually listen,” he spoke, his lips curving into a lighthearted smile which you felt was unsettling given the frightening context, “because if you continue to self-sabotage such an idiot-proof role, then I have no remaining use for you.”
You struggled to form a response while he now gently patted your head, smoothing your hair down your scalp.
“Don’t make me dispose of you just yet, because I absolutely would do so,” he warned you now, his voice deceptively playful, almost singing his words.
Finally, feeling the weight of what he was warning you with, you backed down and settled into agreement, nodding meekly as you took heed of his threat.
“But of course I’m just kidding, I wouldn’t do that to you just yet,” Kenjaku pushed at your cheeks, squishing your face together a little painfully, “because you’re going to behave… right?”
He nodded your head for you before you got a chance to respond; your eyes wide and staring at him, unsure how to keep up with his unpredictable nature.
“Right?” he asked you again, seeking reassurance as he pinched playfully at your skin.
“R-right,” you repeated as he continued to nod your head, ceasing in doing so after giving him the correct answer.
“Good… now, get some rest again,” he said, finally permitting for you to do so, letting go of your body and letting the pressure disperse.
You tried your best to fall asleep, finding that not even a minute had to pass for your body to finally give in. Was it fear? Nerves? You weren’t sure but you weren’t going to question your body giving you an out as you drifted off to sleep.
Kenjaku meanwhile stared straight down at you, feeling his stress finally subside while not fully understanding why he was still capable of feeling this way for people, given that he was otherwise content in idling his time spent on earth alone.
In fact, through his almost millennia of existence, he recalled that there were only very few people who ever had such an effect on him at all.
Thinking back to his insights earlier on, he speculated that his vessel didn’t even know you personally so there was no memory for him to be misinterpreting—so this must have been something genuine that had formed in the midst of his forced care for you. Finding that when you fulfilled his craving for power in the peak of your hyper-dependence, something else must have blossomed on his end.
(And whatever this feeling was, he enjoyed it, truth be told.)
It was then that it dawned on him that should the moment ever call for him to die, for whatever reason or cause, that he would take you down with him.
He thought this to be completely reasonable, finding chaotic logic under the understanding of if your life was only ongoing because you depended on him, then what right did you have to live without him?
In his mind he owned you, after all.
Your life was his own, not yours.

destiny :3 (said with agony)
here are some thoughts i want to share
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i wanted to share the gifs bc i like them. weee look at tthem spin
Cia
the background is a darker tone of the blue i associate with the hw royal family. there is purple overlay/shading on her because of ganondorf's influence on her. there is a soft yellow light highlighting her face- this is the glow of the triforce. i'm also using my own design :3
Link
i associate the general tone of blue in the background with the hw royal family due to the scarf included in the hero’s tunic, plus the same material/blue of the scarf is used on the flags of hyrule castle. this is the second time now (in art i’ve posted) that i have obscured his face- i like doing this to invoke a weak sense of self, which is something these two have in common in my mind.
misc.
originally this was going to be 16 frames with 4 little "scenes" of these two. Cia before she started to realize her plan wasn't going to work -> Link before he got the master sword OR Link just before fighting Dink (does not make much sense now with where it ended up but it's important to the original thought) -> the 8 frames that i Did end up making. I think it's interesting if these two struggle with similar things but show off the opposite ends of the spectrum of reacting to it. Cia knows her fate and creates a self fulfilling prophecy in her anger and panic, Link knows his fate and gives himself up to it too readily, which not only leads to a kinda blank slate persona but also turns the power that the master sword gives him into the catalyst for the Dark Link fight. they don't spend enough time together in canon for this similarity to ever really shine, but i like to think it's something that they eventually talk about after the war there are several versions of this post that could have existed. i have had army dreamers associated with link for a while now so the trend was very convenient LOL but there is also an animation draft for over & over by rio romeo that would have been hell on my wrist!! but trust me it's really good
there is a single frame at the end of cia's segment that i can't get rid of it actually drives me nuts

y/n's perspective
The party was fine… despite our hybrids glaring at each of us. Karina was his hybrid who… didn’t like me. While Niki… looked like he wanted to jump my new fake boyfriend at any moment.
Our parents thought it was a good idea because they thought we were a little too close to them. What I didn’t know was that he was in a relationship with his hybrid. We were both the same, and we’d both have to lie for the time being so our hybrids wouldn’t get the treatment we feared.
“I was thinking of having her join those classes!” he said and she scoffed. “I don’t think you should. I didn’t want Niki to but he begged for them” I explained and he nodded. “Yeah, listen to your shiny new girlfriend,” she scoffed, and he sighed.
She had every right to be angry… but I didn’t want to be physically involved with him.
“y/nnie I wanna go home” Niki begged and I did too but we had a quota to finish before leaving. “I do too!” Karina also added to her owner and I chuckled.
“Hey, Niki? Should we go to the street market after?” I ask and his eyes light up.
“Do you really need to ask?” he said happily as Karina was now trying to be comforted by her owner. “Do… you have to fake date that guy?” he asked and I sighed.
“Niki… my parents want to set me up in an arranged marriage,” I said and he stopped walking to look at me. “W-what?” he asked and I sighed. “At first they wanted me to marry Hyunsuk, but he refused thankfully and then he rebelled so they dropped it for a bit. But… They wanted me to start dating friends and they gave me this huge list of boys to see if I got along with them.” I confessed and he looked… upset. “Of course I said no,” I said and he nodded as he hugged me tightly.
“He was one of them… but it seems like we have a similar situation to him. There are rumors about him, and how he’s in a relationship with his cat hybrid Karina '' I said and he hummed.
“Trust me… I won’t let them actually marry me off. I plan to stall until I have my own income and then, you and me!” I said and he chuckled. “We should live in Japan,” he offered.
“We should! Then we’d be free to do what we wanted”
Tumblr media
niki’s perspective
She wasn’t kidding when she said she got a list.
Hyunsuk, Junghwan, Chenle, Seonghwa, so many but I also know some of them would never agree which meant she would choose and her parents would handle it.
I wonder… What would happen if we ran away like Hyunsuk’s sister?
While looking through her messages with her mom about this stupid arranged marriage… I saw something. “You’re planning on studying abroad?” I am now excited to see Kyoto University as her option with her mom. She smiled… “Snooping now aren’t you?” she teased and I chuckled.
“Yeah… Chenle was telling me how his friend is currently in China and how it was a good break for her. Especially since she’s an art student, she’s getting over the artist block and I thought… this would be a good way to avoid the rumors and dating situation to get out of hand” she said and I grinned.
“Where should we go first?” I asked and she chuckled. “Hmm… we have a lot to do there don’t we?” she asked and I nodded.
This was different from visiting Japan with her parents… we had no supervision and could go anywhere without being asked where.
“I do want to do some shopping in Shibuya, '' she said and I chuckled. “I want to go to Akihabara! We have to see what cafes have events soon!”
Tumblr media
We were finishing up this semester early so we could have a head start in Japan. So this was my last etiquette class… I wanted to say bye to Jake but I don’t know what happened for him not to show up.
“That dog stole your coat, you know?” I heard and saw the bird. My coat that I left? “He also ran… not like I blame him,” he said. “Hybrids have chips though–” “They do… but you can easily cut them out” he explained and I sighed. Hybrids who ran away often were found easily… someone could report it.
“I don’t think he’ll last that long. They’ll find him easily” he added and I wondered… “Why didn’t you snitch?” I asked and he scoffed. “If I could run, I would too…” he said as he went to his seat by himself. He’d run away too?
It sometimes made me realize… the hybrids here, the majority, were miserable. Under either adoption programs or… rich kids with too much money.
Jay was a bird hybrid… exotic here for Korea often found in North America. Some hybrids were happy… but most were miserable. Jay and Sunoo were examples that I knew of… the bird hybrid has a reputation of being a good and responsible hybrid but never could stay with an owner for more than a few months. He was a free trial hybrid so others could see what they wanted in a hybrid to have a reference and then dispose of him.
Whilst Sunoo was a popular hybrid known for his looks but also for how fidgety the fox was… his owner was one that I hated. When we were younger we often talked and got along but with how his owner became more and more bitchy y/n no longer associated herself with her and so I never talked to him again.
Even Jake I guess… he was so desperate that he must've been given bad news.
It made me feel guilty at times but it wasn’t my fault I was given someone who actually cared about me.
“Stop that before I tell your owners!” the professor said as she scolded a group of hybrids throwing stuff at the deer hybrid on the other side. “His antlers are in the way!” Sunghoon said… he’s another example of a miserable hybrid.
“Idiots” I heard as I saw the black cat hybrid who always sat in front of me say bored out of his mind.
Maybe… I just quit these classes?

Tempted to write a replaced au twst fic where Yuu (or alternatively, I'll use my Yuu, Riyuu, who is basically who I'm writing this for) used to be the cutest girl around, the cheery one who's always around everyone, the one you can't seem to dislike even if your crush falls for her because she earnestly says sorry (even though it's not her fault) and will always help you out if you need her back in her old school. But one day, a new girl comes around and her whole reputation got destroyed. She helps the new girl adjust, tells her all the rumours and introduces her to all the popular kids. But the girl ends up backstabbing her, telling the popular girls rumours about how she intentionally plays up the act to steal their crushes to her, and lies to the boys, telling them she's just playing with their hearts and that she's a horrible person.
Yuu ends up alone and excluded, being seen as "annoying" and only having a few close friends who doesn't really interact with her in public in fear of their reputation being ruined. She ends up miserable at school, and wishes to not go anymore. But one day comes a saving grace, she gets whisked by a mysterious black carriage into Twisted Wonderland, or more specifically, Night Raven College. She doesn't mind working if it meant she doesn't have to deal with her old school, there was still 1 and a half years left of school and she doesn't want to deal with all ghe group projects to be assigned that will inevitably end with everyone not wanting to team up with her. Plus, as annoying Grim is, he's like the animal friend all of the anime and storybook protagonists she knows has, and she doesn't mind him too much.
Some things did change after she and Grim got officially enrolled, but she had no problem adapting to the social expectations of the world, part time jobs with Sam -- and occasionally the canteen -- paid enough to get her tools for cooking basic but delicious food, and new friends without the weight of her past helped her get settled comfortably.
The existence of Overblots stunned her for a bit, but a peek into Riddle and Leona's memories helped her understand the concept, even if just a little. However, things began to change eerily simlarly to her old school when a new girl comes, also in a similar position to her, getting transported to a new, unfamilliar world, and seemingly hailing from a similar world to the Earth she knows. She warmly welcomes her, eager to finally befriend another girl, but it seems that the girl does not share the same enthusiasm.
The girl only barely responds to Yuu's attempts at forming a friendship, and always seems to talk her in a condescending way, and often dismisses her, and especially so whenever there are any boys around.
Yuu will not deny any statements claiming she's an attention seeker or that she plays up her sweet innocent girl act, but she knows to never, ever sacrifice a bystander for it. But if someone insists on war with her... well that's another, different story. She's learnt her lesson of being overly optimistic, and she will not make the same mistake twice. She will not let her make her life a living hell more than it already is with Crowley's irresponsibleness.
Aaand thus begins the story. Or well, however you wanna continue it. I'm honestly in favour of most Housewardens (Kalim, Vil, and Idia in particular. I'll put my reasoning in a few paragraphs down) Adeuce, Tweels, and Ortho for team Yuu. Why?
Well, first of all, Adeuce. This is mostly because the duo is like. with Yuu since Day 1, as much of a bitch as Ace is, I think those two are the most likely to trust and know Yuu well enough to not believe the lies R (< Replacer) tells. Especially Deuce, he doesn't want to betray a friend he knew for quite a while, that would not be very honor student-like of him!! And she helped him out in a lot of situations too! He doesn't want to hurt you after all the trouble you go through to help him, and also knowing how horrible your living conditions are. Ace would most likely give in to peer pressure if the student body is overwhelmingly in favour of R, but as of now, he maybe enjoys your company just a bit more than R. Just a bit, promise.
Tweels I feel like is self-explanatory. Those two are perceptive as fuck istg it scares me. Jade especially. I feel like the two would just toy with R for a bit despite her facade and lies before dropping her after she bothers them for attention and favours one too many times.
(Ortho ties in with Idia so I'll explain him in Idia's paragraph)
Kalim is actually very emotionally intelligent. He can come off annoying and stupid, but from all the scenes I see of him, he's actually really good at dealing with people. Have you seen how he deals with the Scarabia residents after Jamil's OB??? The way he phrases his sentences?? He didn't force or even plead with them to forgive Jamil, he simply asks them to wait before making permanent judgements, and I think he's gonna be uncomfy with how condescendingly R talks to Yuu, and even if he's used to people going after him for money, I feel like R mostly eyeing him for money and how she "secretly" sighs in annoyance everytime she goes out of the party for a "bathroom break" will only solidify his dislike/discomfort, even if he doesn't show it.
Vil is also kind of self-explanatory if you read into his character and not just the shell the official English localization makes for him. (I could rant for hours about how the official tl portrays his character istg. He's hardworking and he actually didn't attempt to poison Neige out of pure jealousy, he did it because he felt like all his efforts to be beautiful will never be able to surpass Neige, who, in his eyes, always seemed to be innocent and naturally beautiful. He feels like the villain in Neige's story. He feels like he is reduced to what he often plays as, a snobbish, overconfident villain obsessed with overthrowing the hero. And because of it, it became a twisted self-fulfilling prophecy, pushing him to, in a fit of despair, be that same villain everyone sees him as.) I really don't think he will take well to R's condescension to Yuu, who genuinely wants to befriend R. (I actually have a whole thing in my head where Yuu and Vil occasionally have sleepovers where they do skincare together after the whole VDC thing happened. I feel like this is also a "vent sesh" of sorts for the both of them, just to air out their grievances without much seriousness, and I think Yuu would admit to wanting a fellow girl in the school that she could befriend, since no matter what, being the only girl can be exhausting.) Ik Vil's not a girl but he is such a girls' girl istg.
Idia... this mostly ties into Ortho and The STYX Incident, but like,, I think we can all agree on this one,, Idia is smart and capital V Very pessimistic. Would you rather trust the girl you've known for a while, who saw your memories, who helped you in awkward social situations when she can and is besties with your brother or some random new girl who trash talks said girl behind her back? The former, right? Plus, even if Yuu did only hang out with him and his brother because she likes to secretly laugh at him behind his back, there's mo guarantee R wouldn't do the same, given his experience. And he would rather have someone who actively helps him and his brother out than someone who wouldn't.
I didn't put Malleus in because of how canon him actually treats Yuu. I feel like the fandom kind of put on rose-tinted glasses on with his character, and kind of ignored some things like, idk... him just leaving them to fend for themselves homeless during Octavinelle... maybe he thought Crowley would offer them a place to stay but like... I'm still bothered by how didn't atleast offer a spare room in Diasomnia. He's a housewarden goddamnit. He's not as distant or scary as the rumours say but like. still rubbed me the wrong way.
Anyways I don't think my attention span will let me write it to completion so if anyone likes this and wants to write it feel free. Pls tag me if you do tho. I would love to read it :3

No better than any royal
It's an analysis regarding classism in Helluva Boss and Blitzø's part in it.
Warning: Apology Tour spoilers. Be advised if you haven't watched the episode yet. And also it's big as hell itself, I am not good in being laconic thing.
I wanted to write a post about the thing which bothered me for some time already, but I wasn't sure how to articulate it properly. Now that the 'Apology Tour' has come out, and we've got another parallel on the same thing, I think I need to grab my shit together and try to analyze this to the best of my abilities.
See, something tingled in me a while ago when I noticed that Fizz, when stating in the 'Oops' episode, "If you think you are superior to anyone, then you are no better than any royal.", was looking at Blitzø the majority of the time. And, of course, he specifically says "neither of you", so... yeah. No doubt he was addressing both Blitzø and Striker.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is an opinion going around that Striker as a character is designed to be compared to Blitzø. They are both prejudiced towards privileged people (here you can read a wonderful take from @tealvenetianmask on the class rage Blitzø experiences to get deeper into his reasons), with Striker taking it to the extremes as far as killing them with joy, while Blitzø... well, hurting one particular royal in his own way.
Then there's the next person, who says Blitzø's behavior resembles that of Striker, in the "Apology Tour" newest episode.
Tumblr media
He says that right after Blitzø throws an accusation that Stolas has just a turn-on for people he looks down on. I like, by the way, how the camera moves up to Stolas, showing their significant physical difference in height and symbolizing their gap in social status.
Tumblr media
Which is him, by the way, doubling down on a similar statement in the 'Oops' episode.
Tumblr media
I am with you on this one, Fizz :.)
Stolas is very upset about it, and very justly so - Blitzø is putting words in his beak, assuming his mindset, demeaning his feelings, and disrespecting his wishes that he was very clear about. Blitzø means it, unfortunately, and, my take is, he is as much of a classist as the rich assholes like Stella whom he hates for the same very reason.
Just hold on with me for a moment. Look at this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are all the same. Stolas is the same.
Blitzø is treating Stolas unfairly based on his social class. Blitzø has a negative opinion of Stolas based on his social class. That's pretty much the definition, although more often than not it's referred to people of lower social status. Still counts in my book.
Don't get me wrong. Stolas is not innocent. He is raised in the privileged world and he takes advantage of it. He is treating his workers unfairly (remember that stressball imp guy?), and this also needs to be addressed... But it does not change the fact that Stolas's genuine feelings got mocked by Blitzø because the latter is so adamant in his superstitions, he does not believe anything the prince says.
And, to add to that, I think Blitzø takes great pride in being the 'I-made-myself' guy, running a successful business they said is rare for an imp. He is insistent in letting everyone know he has a transaction with Stolas, not a relationship. An exchange. A business deal. A fair trade, however stupid and twisted does that sound. He hates privilege, and he is afraid, insecure even, to be associated with it. He does not want to become like them.
And Blitzø, like Fizz said, thinks he is superior to ones who mingle with blue bloods and take from their riches. He thinks he is superior to blue bloods themselves because he earned everything he owns, and they got a birthright to hold onto.
Which, essentially, makes Blitzø no better than any royal.
That does not make him irredeemeable, though. He has plenty of reasons for behaving like that. He suffers every day from injustice. He is at the bottom of the food chain, he has to wait for 5 years to get an appointment for an essential vaccine, he gets ridiculed all the time for just existing. For just being an imp.
Blitzø just needs to understand, that, however privileged Stolas is, he is as fucked by this system as Blitzø is. Stolas had the whole life planned for him, he had no choice even in whom to marry, and he had to put up with years of abuse and trauma to hold an image. He did not have parents and has no friends. He struggles to survive in the environment where people like him are not welcome. He suffers because of the same system as Blitzø does, albeit differently.
I am not trying to compare who has it worse. The only point is that Blitzø is oblivious to the fact that Stolas can get hurt. Physically and emotionally.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Blitzø needs to understand that Stolas is different. Blitzø needs to give Stolas a chance to prove he is wrong. Blitz needs to let their relationship flourish. And through Stolas, he will eventually see that there are probably more royals who are not so horrible as he thinks. That everyone is different regardless of their social status.
As a closing note, I want to say that I wait for Striker's return. I think that there will be a point where they will meet again, but that time Blitzø will mature and prove that he has changed. And no one will dare to say that Blitzø is just like him ever again, which would be a perfect closure for the class conflict.

I truly think WoT is a well written, well acted show but you never see praise for it like that from most of the fandom (unless I'm following the wrong people). You see people praising GoT and HoTD like it's the best thing ever when I'm bored most of the time. Never anything similar said for WoT. I hope it does make it big in following seasons and gets more appreciation cause I truly think the show is underrated
i haven't seen GOT or HOTD so i can't speak to any comparisons there, but i agree that WOT is underrated! it feels like most of the viewership is either casuals who aren't Online About It and hardcore book fans who spend all their energy discussing book vs. show topics - not always in a negative way, i'm also including in here the show-positive discussions about improvements on the books or speculation for future seasons, but even these discussions are so rooted in book vs. show land that not a lot of people stop to discuss the show in a vacuum. it's often about "how is it similar to and different from the books?" and rarely about appreciating the show as its own standalone work.
which i think could be a difference with GOT and HOTD, they probably have a larger number of hardcore show-only fans who are Online About It discussing show-only things in detail such as writing and acting, whereas in my personal experience, WOT online fandom spaces are VERY dominated by book fans and they aren't talking as much about show-only things, or when they do, it's just to mistake "i personally don't like this change from the books" for "this is objectively bad writing and everybody who has ever watched the show agrees that the writing of the entire show is bad" lmao WOT reader fandom spaces have a reeeeaaaally skewed sense of the quality of the show's writing because they can't let go of their "similar to the books=good writing, different from the books=bad writing" baggage and also because they struggle to understand that good writing For TV is often very different from good writing For Books.
there's definitely also at play the societal tendency to praise miseryporn and characters who are terrible people as the creme de la creme of writing and acting. WOT has trauma and misery, but doesn't revel in it in a gratuitous way, and it has very flawed and complex characters, but the protagonists are all ultimately good people. it's a hopeful and uplifting story at its core and a story that wholeheartedly embraces its fantastical elements and wants to bring a sense of fun and escapism to viewers alongside the deep emotional stuff, and those are rarely taken as seriously as gritty cynical stories. hence, WOT is not viewed as a ~serious~ show worthy of having its acting & writing praised in the same way that GOT and HOTD are.
but WOT does do pretty good viewership numbers despite being kinda under the radar in the cultural consciousness, i think. i could see it gaining more attention in upcoming seasons as we enter the territory of the books that most people agree is the best portion of the series, and if they are finally able to do a proper promo cycle for s3 and beyond. from what i've seen, prime shows are never anywhere close to the level of promo netflix shows do (which is TOO much in some cases, rip to the poor bridgerton cast having to do about five thousand hours of interviews for s3), but WOT s1 came out during the covid zoom interview era and s2 came out during the strikes, so it's not hard to imagine that those 2 promo cycles might've been unusually low even for prime's standards and s3 might have a bit more. we shall see!
but at the end of the day, it's also kinda nice keeping wotshow as a hidden gem because greater online fandom attention would also mean an increase in insufferable takes haha i often find that smaller fandoms are a much more pleasant atmosphere than bigger ones!

I Wanna Talk About Verosika's Party Guests
So first off, it would probably be wise to make a big fat disclaimer before getting into this: Blitzo has legitimately hurt a lot of people, it is a problem, and narratively that was the point of the party. He needed to realize this for his character development to move forward. This is not a "Blitzo did nothing wrong" post.
Ok, now that that's out of the way . . . I'm honestly so curious how many of those party attendees were people Blitzo legitimately hurt in a significant way.
Dennis is what got me thinking about this. Not only is he not an ex, he wasn't even a one night stand. He and Blitzø made out briefly at a party. That's it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It makes me wonder how many of these people could be in that same category - or perhaps how many of them might've only been a step further. A hookup or sex a few times or even a couple of dates, but unlike with Verosika, nothing that became serious enough for anybody to get truly hurt.
Like, if the spectrum ranges from Blitzo being "stranger i made out with who didn't end up sleeping with me" to "guy who shattered my heart and bailed on me when i told him i loved him" how many of these people are actually in Verosika's category?
And tbh I think the answer is probably quite a few! Way too many! Like I said, Blitzo has genuinely hurt a lot of people - but I have an inkling that possibly a good number of the people at that party have Blitzo experiences that range from "didn't text back after a one-night stand" to "Dennis-level-non-issue."
Tumblr media
^^ (what blitz said in the above scene was a joke but also seemed to refer to his real-life actions)
What I'm saying is there's room here for a whole range of behaviors that, while not conducive to Blitzo's mental health or his underlying need for intimacy, are also not particularly hurtful to others. Annoying, yeah. Disrespectful, probably. But not by any means heartbreaking. To some of these people, I don't think Blitzo was ever anything more than an asshole they met at a bar one night.
Additionally, there's the concept of the party itself. In the case of both this and the Dennis thing, I'm not sure exactly how much the narrative wants us to take certain things seriously. But assuming it does -
This is just a theory, but I imagine the party started with Verosika talking with others about what Blitzo did and realizing through those conversations that Blitzo has a lot of exes he fucked over. So hey - let's throw a party about it! Blow off some steam, commiserate, build relationships with each other, have a good time. Thus we end up with this party centered around hating one specific guy.
In the following years the party would've gotten bigger and bigger - largely due to Blitzo gaining more exes, obviously, and also word spreading about the party's existence. But as Verosika started to move on from Blitzo, I can see the party morphing into more about the general concept of hating Blitzo, not so much specifically centered around people who were harmed in a way similar to what Verosika experienced. She starts inviting anybody who had even the mildest negative experience with Blitzo - hence our spectrum that I theorize ranges all the way from deeply hurt people to scorned weekend love affairs to ghosted one night stands to Dennis.
Also - I have no idea if this was the show's intention and maybe I'm reaching here, but I wonder how many of the attendees aren't even remotely having feelings about Blitzo anymore. The party, for them, could be more about the idea of Blitzo, about shitty exes in general, shitty people in general. It's fun to come together and hate on something! It makes for a lively party to have more attendees, and it's probably good for the atmosphere to have folks there who are able to hate on Blitzo from a more lighthearted place.
I've also wondered about the two people we see crying (other than Stolas). We assume they're crying over Blitzo - but are they crying solely over Blitzo and their actual experiences with him, or could there be a level of combining all of their hurt over various exes onto one target because that's helping them process their pain?
(eh, it's probably meant to be read as them crying over blitzo. but my alternate theory is a still a possibility. maybe something between the two? i guess my main idea there is that we don't technically know they're both crying over blitzo; the important thing is that blitzo sees them crying and it helps him connect with the idea that he's caused genuine harm.)
And I do wonder how many people has Blitzo gotten close enough with to truly hurt them like he did Verosika. How many of the people at the party were actually able to get to know him as a person deeply enough for him to break their hearts? Especially recently?
I guess I'm not necessarily trying to make any specific point here. Like I said at the beginning, Blitzo truly has done a lot of harm and needs to change. I just find it interesting to step back and get a wider perspective on this party - try to work out what Blitzo has actually done, and what might just be getting projected onto him. The party exaggerated the sheer number of people he's hurt, but I absolutely think he needed that exaggeration in order to Get It - and it's also good to remember, in Blitzo's defense, that it was in fact an exaggeration.
tl;dr: "free my man he only did some of that" vibes i guess?

I have a question about the Anne-Marie fic
Does she know that hyde and jekyll are the same person aka does she know that hyde is also her father?
Cus it's been bugging me for ages and I just couldn't figure it out :3
Ah, someone has finally asked the question I’ve been dying to answer. Sorry if I’m about to ramble-dump on here 🤣
Long story short, yes. She knows Hyde and Jekyll are the same person. Well, I say she knows it’s more of a she figured it out 2 months before Jasper came into the picture.
The longer version is this; Anne-Marie — once she got over her shock of suddenly seeing a man she never met in her home — pretty quickly clocked onto the fact that Hyde looked familiar. This was before she lost her sight, by the way. Like she noticed he looked similar to her father. Hyde, realizing that she could easily figure out the connection between him and Jekyll, immediately began to avoid her after that. For that first year, Hyde was able to avoid her like he avoided Lanyon and Anne-Marie was left to stew with the fact her father’s new assistant looked similar to him.
Then the Chemical Accident came around and Hyde, out of concern and guilt, decided to check on Anne-Marie while she was recovering.
Now, for a long time, Anne-Marie didn’t think much of Hyde. To her, he was her father’s awfully brash assistant who kept getting her angry by calling her Annie, something only her father was allowed to do. In fact, a lot of the early days of Hyde-Hunting was Anne-Marie genuinely being angry at him for calling her Annie.
But as the days went on, Anne-Marie began to notice things.
Like how Hyde would always place her back in her room once she’s tired out from chasing him. How he would sometimes slip into a Scottish accent if she surprised hit him. Or how when he does call her Annie, it’s more of him not thinking twice about it and not actually to antagonize her.
For a good while, Anne-Marie thought Hyde was like a long-lost relative of her father’s because of her memory him closely resembling her father. It’s why she was super against the rumors of the two sleeping together, even though Hyde tries to play it off like that. But then she started to notice other things…
Stuff like how Hyde would talk to himself, like he’s talking to her father when he’s not in the room. How her father would do the same even though Hyde is also not in the room. How at one point, when Anne-Marie slammed a piano lid onto Hyde’s hand and injuring him, her father had the same injury when she touched his bandaged hand.
But the biggest thing that confirmed it for her? It was when she took her glasses off with him the room.
Hyde had a meltdown. He begged, pleaded, screamed at her to put her glasses back on. Anne-Marie, not used to hearing Hyde like that, immediately put her glasses back on. Hyde took a few minutes to calm down. Then he moved on like nothing had happened.
But Anne-Marie didn’t move on. She realized that Hyde didn’t want to see her scars. Even when she commented on this, Hyde’s careless words finally hit her.
“Well, it’s not my fault you stood close to a sizzling potion made by sham of a scientist who didn’t sleep properly that day.”
How did Hyde knew that? The story she told everyone was that she was alone in her father’s lab, how she became curious with his things and started to mess around. That’s what cause the explosion, according to Anne-Marie.
How did Hyde knew the truth? There was no way her father would tell someone like his bad-mouthed assistant.
Then, it clicked for her. Hyde was her father, in some way. Hadn’t her father talked about splitting souls at some point? And looking back on it now, of course Hyde’s very bad impression of a theater villain would be her father’s idea of evil.
Anne-Marie figured it out. But she never told Jekyll and Hyde that she figured it out. Since the two kept the secret, then Anne-Marie figured she could keep it as well.
Anne-Marie knew. But Jekyll and Hyde don’t realize that she knows.
