I should clarify that I don't hate Doctor Doom, or Rayan North for that matter. Seeing an interview he did regarding his run on Fantastic Four not only made me like him, but it also makes me wanna go out and read/buy his run at some point.
No, what I hate is the absolute kick in the crotch this was to the on-going Doctor Strange title. This was something Jed had been building to for awhile, then it finally happens...and instead of just letting the main DS title continue for a bit, they cancel it...just so they can prop up Doom. Because apparently, it's more important we hype the return of Downey and Doomsday (which won't even be out until 2026, assuming there's no delays) and put Jed on an X-Men title, instead of letting Stephen just have his own Goddamn title for more than a year!!!
I could be wrong about that, but it just comes off as Kevin Feige thinking he's SOOOO much smarter than us, which, he's not!!! In doing this, you're alienating potential customers and long-time fans who are sick to death of constant cross-overs and repetitive story-telling (Seriously!? We're doing Emperor Doom, AGAIN!?) , and you're doing a disservice to the good doctor and his wife, which is why I'm here.

David Tennant has been involved in/can be linked to practically everything I study in English aside from the poetry and it is starting to scare me:
Okay, SO. For reference, I have studied the following in English Literature since the beginning of high school (I am now in college):
A Midsummer Night's Dream
Romeo and Juliet
Much Ado About Nothing
Of Mice and Men
Macbeth
Measure for Measure
Atonement
Hamlet
Here is how David Tennant connects to each one in a terrifying way:
A Midsummer Night's Dream - he once portrayed Puck (performed one monologue as the character) as part of a show about Shakespeare
Romeo and Juliet - he played Romeo
Much Ado About Nothing - he played Benedick in a fantastic production that had Catherine Tate as Beatrice
Of Mice and Men - he was George in a BBC Radio 4 adaptation of the novel
Macbeth - he was the title role in a radio version of the play that was required listening for my class and he went on to play the role live on the West End just last year
Measure for Measure - I had to dig deep for this, but years ago he portrayed Angelo for just one scene as part of a six part documentary about the impact of Shakespeare that has now been lost to time, however I did find footage of his scene and pictures
Atonement - in the film adaptation of Atonement, Benedict Cumberbatch plays Paul Marshall, and he went on to cameo as Satan in Good Omens, which stars David Tennant as Crowley
Hamlet - he played Hamlet in both a filmed performance and live on stage, with the real skull of Tchaikovsky who donated it so he could be featured in Shakespearean productions after he died (just a fun piece of trivia), additionally, the skull was traditionally only used in rehearsals so as not to distract the audience with the presence of a real skull, but David Tennant insisted on using the skull in live performances
So there you have it - when I graduate college, I must personally track down David Tennant and shake his hand as thanks for his extensive involvement in my studies.

Hello there Astra!! I adore your hcs a lot, reading them really makes my day. Your takes on characters, or any aspect of CC at all has taken my interest since day one! If possible, do you have any headcanons for Justin Lawson, since I'm quite curious on your take on him! Thank you, have a great day :D
Aw! You’re going to make me blush! Thank you so much! It means a lot to me to hear that!🥰💕
I have done headcanons for Justin in the past, but he has a lot of material I can work with, so I’m sure I can create some new ones for you to enjoy!
Justin had a section of Abigail's wedding dress (that wasn't stained by her blood) turned into a handkerchief with her initials and their wedding date embroidered on it. Even though the wedding never got to happen and Justin would never dirty the handkerchief, he carries it to always have a piece of Abigail with him
He's an avid reader and has an extensive collection of books
He uses pomade to keep his hair slick and well-kept. There will be no stray hairs on his watch!
Justin learned how to use a gun after Abigail's death. While he hates unnecessary bloodshed, Justin wanted to be able to protect himself as he began his endeavour to bring a new age of justice to Concordia
He doesn't know how to dress down. Even if you tell him to dress casually, he'll still show up in a full suit, complete with a matching hat. The most “casual” clothes this man owns are his sleeping ones! (And those don't count!)
When he graduated from law school, Justin’s friend, Walter Cumberbatch, gifted him a pocket watch to commemorate the event. The watch features the scales of justice surrounded by a laurel wreath engraved on the cover and Justin’s initials on the back
He suffers from insomnia. It grew worse as he started climbing the political ladder and was at its peak when he was mayor. The stress of the job and trying to “fix” Concordia’s justice system didn’t help, and many nights were sleepless for Justin
Justin still buys bottles of the perfume Abigail loved wearing. While he tries to forget about her tragic end, he still wants to remember the good memories involving her. One of the ways he does this is by spraying the perfume she always wore when he finds himself lost in the memory of her murder. Smelling the sweet, floral aroma instantly brings Abigail’s smiling face to his mind, and he can even hear her laughter again
It was somewhat unintentional that multiple of these involved Abigail, so I hope you don't mind! The headcanons just came to me, and they were too good to leave out!
Thank you for the ask! (And again for the compliments!💕)

Archangels Guide To Siblings - Hey Brother
This special video is based on the wonderful ongoing fanfiction "An Archangel's Guide To Siblings (And Other Things You Should Tell a Therapist)" by Matcha_Tea_and_Other_Delights:
 https://archiveofourown.org/works/521...
Thank you so much to @Matchatea for giving me permission to adapt her work and helping me with some story details. And to @okariaonb  for the suggestion of the Angel-Crowley footage and her general support with editing.
 - some parts and especially background edits were created with Photoshop generative fill and extension, as well as neural filters for Michael and Uriel's expressions and in ebsynth.
 I am excited to finally share this video and the little easter eggs!
Lucifer and Lilith are actually supposed to be older because Lucifer is Michael's' twin, but because he was voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch in the show, I wanted to use him as well. Regina as Lilith got me into watching Once Upon A Time (I am currently hooked on about 3/4 of the first season) and now these actors are stuck in my head as faceclaims. I hope you can consider it creative / free interpretation on my part. At least the hair colors are right.
 -----
PLOT:
Gabriels restored memories also triggered an interest in Crowley's past and how the memory of his time as an angel is fragmented. With Muriels help they uncover the file to restore the sibling connection between the Archangels one by one. Even Lucifer, Lilith and Adam end up being part of the extended family.
Trying to help Crowley back on his feet, Michael and Muriel abduct Aziraphale from Heaven to reunite the estranged partners. Muriel goes to Hell with Lucifer to hide from Sandalphon and ends up becoming the Chancellor, but is eventually betrayed by Shax who lets them go back to Heaven, so the whole family starts a rescue mission.
Lilith sacrifices herself by healing Muriel's wing and is killed by the raining holy water, resulting in Muriel/Abaddon being partially demonic and now the official Chancellor of Hell.
The siblings fight a lot, especially Michael and Lucifer, but when it comes to protecting each other and helping Lucifer grief they are there.

Oh dear, that Sunday Times article must be devastating for you.
Benedict Cumberbatch talks extensively and fondly about his children and parents. No mention of his mother abusing him, in fact quite the opposite, he talks about what wonderful, supportive, loving parents he has.
And other people from the film also talk a lot about his family, wife and children. Almost as if the actual people who spend time with him have no hesitation in acknowledging the reality of his three lovely boys.

With a career spanning over two decades, Tom Hardy has firmly established himself as a powerhouse performer. Renowned for his intense screen presence and chameleon-like versatility, Hardy never fails to captivate both fans and critics alike. Whether commanding attention in action-packed blockbusters or delving into complex indie dramas, his body of work consistently highlights his impressive depth and range. What sets Tom Hardy apart is his uncanny ability to completely disappear into his roles—be it a hardened criminal, a fearless war pilot, or a lone post-apocalyptic drifter. While some may find his accents a bit muddled at times, there’s no denying the magnetic pull of his characters. Here, we rank the best performances in Tom Hardy movies, focusing on his transformative portrayals rather than the films themselves. Here are 10 of the best Tom Hardy movies, ranked… #10. Dunkirk (2017) Christopher Nolan’s World War II epic Dunkirk marked Tom Hardy’s third collaboration with the acclaimed director. Playing RAF pilot Farrier, Hardy delivers a masterclass in subtlety—much of his face hidden behind a pilot’s mask, he communicates volumes with just his eyes. Tasked with providing crucial air support during the harrowing Dunkirk evacuation, his presence is both haunting and heroic. Despite minimal dialogue, Hardy’s portrayal exudes quiet determination and self-sacrifice, infusing the film’s tense atmosphere with a deeply human touch. This understated role stands out as one of the most memorable and emotionally resonant performances in Tom Hardy’s extensive filmography. #9. The Bikeriders (2024) In Jeff Nichols’ gritty drama The Bikeriders, Tom Hardy takes on the role of Johnny, the weathered leader of a 1960s Midwestern biker gang. Draped in a leather jacket and channeling a Brando-esque cool, Hardy perfectly embodies old-school masculinity while subtly revealing the character’s inner conflicts. Johnny’s journey—caught between the pull of family responsibilities and the lure of the open road—unfolds with quiet intensity, making it one of Hardy’s most emotionally rich performances in recent years. Among newer entries in his filmography, The Bikeriders stands out for its seamless blend of raw grit and heartfelt pathos. #8. Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) In George Miller’s explosive reboot Mad Max: Fury Road, Hardy steps into the legendary shoes of Max Rockatansky. While sharing the spotlight with Charlize Theron’s Furiosa, Hardy commands attention with a performance marked by restrained rage and subtle vulnerability. This Max speaks less than Mel Gibson’s iconic portrayal, but arguably carries more emotional depth. Against the post-apocalyptic chaos, Hardy explores themes of trauma, redemption, and reluctant heroism with compelling nuance. Undoubtedly, Fury Road remains one of the most visually stunning and emotionally powerful entries in Tom Hardy’s filmography. #7. Stuart: A Life Backwards (2007) Before his Hollywood breakout, Hardy delivered a heartbreaking performance in Stuart: A Life Backwards. Based on a true story, the film traces the turbulent life of Stuart Shorter, a homeless man haunted by his past. Hardy’s raw and empathetic portrayal of mental illness and trauma is nothing short of extraordinary. This lesser-known gem showcases Hardy’s impressive range early in his career. His compelling chemistry with co-star Benedict Cumberbatch adds layers of emotional depth, making it one of the most powerful—and often overlooked—entries in the Tom Hardy film canon. #6. The Drop (2014) Set against the gritty backdrop of Brooklyn’s crime-riddled underworld, The Drop stars Hardy as Bob Saginowski, a soft-spoken bartender with a shadowy past. What starts as a slow-burning crime drama gradually transforms into a gripping character study, showcasing Hardy’s mastery of internal conflict and moral ambiguity. His performance is understated yet deeply layered—quiet, intense, and ultimately chilling. The film’s mounting tension relies heavily on Hardy’s subtle expressions and body language, proving that powerful acting doesn’t always demand grand speeches. Among Tom Hardy’s more low-key roles, The Drop stands out as an underrated gem. #5. The Revenant (2015) In Alejandro González Iñárritu’s The Revenant, Hardy embodies the ruthless John Fitzgerald, a fur trapper fueled by greed and raw survival instinct. While Leonardo DiCaprio’s harrowing journey commands the spotlight, Hardy’s portrayal injects the film with a dark moral complexity. Grimy, cunning, and nearly Shakespearean in his duplicity, Hardy transforms Fitzgerald into far more than a typical villain. His Oscar-nominated performance stands as one of the most compelling and memorable in Tom Hardy’s movies. #4. Bronson (2008) In Bronson, Tom Hardy delivers one of his most electrifying performances as Charles Bronson, Britain’s most infamous prisoner. Under Nicolas Winding Refn’s surreal and stylized direction, the film becomes less a traditional biopic and more a twisted piece of performance art—violent, unsettling, and utterly captivating. Hardy’s transformation is both physical and psychological, fully embodying Bronson’s volatile nature. What makes this role unforgettable is its raw theatricality: Hardy breaks the fourth wall, speaking directly to the camera and blurring the lines between reality and persona. His explosive charisma, simmering rage, and unpredictability drive the film, making Bronson a fearless showcase of Hardy’s chameleon-like talent and willingness to take bold risks. #3. Locke (2013) Locke is the ultimate one-man show—Tom Hardy is the sole presence on screen throughout the entire film. As Ivan Locke, Hardy navigates a tense night behind the wheel, making a series of life-altering phone calls that unravel his carefully controlled world. What truly sets this performance apart is Hardy’s masterful restraint. With nothing but his voice, subtle expressions, and the confined space of a car interior, he crafts a quietly gripping portrait of a man on the brink. Locke proves that Hardy’s magnetic screen presence doesn’t rely on action or spectacle—sometimes, less really is more. #2. The Dark Knight Rises (2012) As Bane, Hardy transformed a masked villain into one of the most unforgettable threats in superhero lore. He infused the character with an eerie calm and raw physicality, blending menace with a strangely philosophical edge. Despite his face being hidden, Hardy’s commanding presence never wavered. His deliberate movements and the iconic, gravelly voice made Bane a force to be reckoned with—intellect and muscle perfectly balanced against Batman himself. It’s a career-defining role in a blockbuster franchise, and Hardy owned every moment on screen. #1. Warrior (2011) In Warrior, Hardy embodies Tommy Conlon, a former Marine stepping into the MMA cage carrying emotional scars as heavy as his punches. The role requires a rare blend of physical toughness and raw vulnerability, and Hardy delivers both with searing precision. His silence speaks louder than words, revealing a man haunted by a turbulent past and fractured family ties. While the fight scenes pack a visceral punch, it’s the emotional depth beneath the surface that truly lands. Warrior showcases Hardy at his most human—and undeniably powerful. Book of Clarence Starring LaKeith Stanfield Headed To The Big Screen
Tumblr media
Everyone loves a good movie, especially an original one. A new and unique cinematic experience, "Book of Clarence," featuring LaKeith Stanfield, will soon grace theaters near you. Here's everything you need to know about this exciting film. On LaKeith Stanfield LaKeith Stanfield has undeniably emerged as a standout figure in Hollywood, earning his reputation as a must-watch talent. Many first recognized Stanfield through his breakout performances in the series "Atlanta," where he collaborated with Childish Gambino. But he's also left an indelible mark in various film projects, from "Straight Outta Compton," "The Purge," "Selma," "Dope," "Get Out," "Death Note," "Sorry to Bother You," "Uncut Gems," "Knives Out," "Judas and the Black Messiah," "The Harder They Fall," to the 2023 feature film "Haunted Mansion." One look at his extensive filmography makes it impossible to ignore his remarkable talent. No matter what character shoes he fills, big or small, he stretches them to his size. Without a doubt, he slays every role. Now, fans of LaKeith have another reason to celebrate as he steps into the role of Clarence in the upcoming film "The Book of Clarence." Book of Clarence This is a film that may be different from what everyone expects. "The Book of Clarence" is a piece with a biblical slant. The story transports viewers to 33 AD and introduces them to Clarence, a character driven by ambitions intertwined with faith and personal gain. As Blexmedia notes, “The Book of Clarence centers around its title character (Stanfield), a man inspired to become the next Messiah for personal gain. But his journey turns out to be a bigger exploration of faith and loyalty than he could have imagined.” Fundamentally, Clarence sets his sights on joining the apostles, driven by his fascination with their status and position. Audiences will accompany Clarence on his quest, witnessing how he attempts to fulfill his vision while encountering significant lessons. Despite initially harboring doubt about the Messiah, Clarence is compelled to search for and discover his faith as the story unfolds. This narrative promises to offer a thought-provoking and spiritually resonant experience for viewers. Who's Behind the Book of Clarence While Stanfield's name is enough to earn the investment of many moviegoers, there is so much more to be excited about. "The Book of Clarence" reunites some of the creative team behind the successful feature "The Harder They Fall." Jeymes Samuel, who directed "The Harder They Fall," will be at the helm of "The Book of Clarence," ensuring a consistent and compelling directorial vision. Additionally, Jay Z, who produced "The Harder They Fall," is set to return as a producer for this project, adding further anticipation to the film. Fans of Stanfield will also be delighted to hear that RJ Cyler, a co-star from "The Harder They Fall," is also part of the cast. This reunion of talent from a well-received film like "The Harder They Fall" suggests that "The Book of Clarence" will be a movie undeniably rich and one viewers will not want to miss. Other Amazing Cast Members The film also boasts a superb supporting cast, some of the best in the industry. Of those mentioned is Teyana Taylor, who made a splash in "A Thousand and One" and "Coming to America 2." David Oyelowo, as seen in "Selma "and "The Waterman," will add his talents. Alfre Woodard, known for projects "The Porter" and "Twelve Years a Slave," will join the ensemble. Benedict Cumberbatch, the title character in "Dr. Strange" and "The Hobbit," will also be aboard. Omar Sy from "Jurassic World and Transformers" will bring his acting chops. James McAvoy, who appears in "Split" and "Transformers," will also participate. And Micheal Ward from "Empire of Light" and "Top Boy." And this is only the tip of the iceberg. Theatrical Release Date There is no way to explain how intriguing this feature is shaping up to be. However, the wait will be slightly longer as "The Book of Clarence" is expected to be released in the new year. So, if this is enough to entice the appetite, mark your calendars for January 12, 2024. I’ve been a fan of Samuel since he played Simcoe, and people running their mouths about his appearance is, to me, yet another extension of hating on ‘atypical’ looking actors, especially ones people find attractive. It’s a behavior that became very common circa the Sherlock era when people got very worked up that anyone found Benedict Cumberbatch hot and it’s just kept on keeping on with other (often British, for some reason) actors.
I cannot for the life of me understand all this bullshit about Sam Roukin’s looks.
Who in the absolute *fuck* thinks this man is not genuinely handsome? I understand having a preference but it’s out of hand how many posts and comments I see criticizing his looks and how some wish he was different.
I mean making fun of the man’s eyes straight up in the chat?? Who the fuck are you people doing this???
Sam is 43 with this just… lovely head of dusty blonde hair and striking, expressive icy blue eyes… strong jaw… pretty teeth… tall as hell… fit… masculine… ???????? What else do u people want??
Maybe it’s because I’m 30 and I don’t think a seasoned early to mid-40’s special ops veteran should be out here looking like an anime character but who the fuck am I lmfao I mean… be real
Sam is perfect for Ghost and if they for some reason didn’t model Ghost’s actual looks after him just as they did the other characters, it’d be a fucking slap in the face to his performance and hard work in bringing new life to this character.
He deserves to be Ghost’s face. No one would be going this batshit crazy over Ghost if it weren’t for Sam.
And for god’s sake behave in his livestream chat. Stop calling him daddy and asking him if he supports the Soap x Ghost ship. Fucking weird as shit. He’s a real fucking person just like me and you and deserves to be treated like one.
Y’all should be ashamed

“I feared not completely, but a little nevertheless, that I was a danger to you. Living at your expense. Perhaps I could write to you about many things, but perhaps the desire has past to such a degree that I fear the pointlessness of it.
I’m applying myself to my canvases with all my attention. There are immense stretches of wheat fields under turbulent skies. And I made a point of trying to express sadness. Extreme loneliness.
Look after yourself and handshakes in thought. Yours truly, Vincent”
Four days after writing this final letter to Theo, he went into the wheat fields and shot himself in the chest.
On that starry, starry night You took your life, as lovers often do But I could have told you, Vincent This world was never meant for one As beautiful as you  - Stary Stary Night by Don McLean

That anon was absolutely body shaming her. That along with micro aggressive comments about wigs. And all of that under the guise of a “critique” when it’s obvious from their “critique” that the lack a basic understanding of Z and her style, and how her style has always evolved. Nobody in recent years would describe Z’s style as “young and fun”. I’m not sure what got into that anon. But it was a very weird post absolutely meant to be straight up mean for no reason.
Well I'm not gonna get into the middle of this e-fight lol.... 👀 But I def understand how you're feeling Anon.
And yea, the comment about wigs was just interesting. 🤔
I hope people realize that just about EVERYONE in Hollywood has pretty much worn a wig or some type of hair extensions at some point in time. 😅
Most of the women in the movies and films you watch are wearing some type of wig or hair piece. If not to change their looks, then to add "fullness" or length. Even MEN wear wigs or lace fronts in some of their roles, especially if they're playing a superhero or need to have their looks drastically changed for some reason. Just look at any movie lol.
Chris Evans = Hair piece for Captain America
Benedict Cumberbatch = Hair piece for Dr. Strange
I literally could go on and on.
It's not anything new. And most women, especially those on camera (even news anchors), are wearing SOME type of hair piece lol 😆
I take it some have never seen this video from "The Talk" lol 😆
youtube
News Flash: ALL women of ALL races have worn some hair extensions/pieces/wigs at some point in this business. 😏

I have clicked on the horrid website so you don’t have to.
First article, last year:
https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/18077960/benedict-cumberbatch-4million-castle-fronted-mansion/
Exclusive Benedict Cumberbatch eyes up £4million, castle-fronted mansion with 300-acre farm in south-west Laura Armstrong, Hannah Hope Published: 21:46, 26 Mar 2022 Updated: 9:49, 28 Mar 2022
NOMINEE Benedict Cumberbatch has been eyeing up a real-life role as a rancher – like his character in The Power Of The Dog.
The British actor is up for the Best Actor Oscar award on Sunday for his portrayal of troubled cowboy Phil Burbank in the blockbuster.
And we can reveal he’s showing an interest in a £4million, castle-fronted mansion.
The historic property has more than 300 acres of land attached to it and even boasts its own organic farm.
Benedict, who owns a home in London, where he lives with theatre director wife Sophie Hunter and their three children, is said to have been thinking of buying a bolthole in the South West for some time.
And a source in the village said: “Everyone around here is talking about it.
“Benedict has been seen here a few times in the last few months, either in the village or the market town nearby.
“He’s been wanting to buy a place down here for a while.
“If he buys the house it will be fantastic for the area and give everyone a real boost.
“The manor house and land have certainly seen better days so it would be brilliant if he injects some love into the property.”
If The Imitation Game actor buys the mansion, he will be able to relax in its extensive library and store vintage wines in the sprawling cellar.
There is also a swimming pool, cider orchard and land for grazing cattle — just like his film character Phil did.
He will also be able to bring his own features to the manor as it comes with extensive planning permission.
Benedict will be battling it out for the Best Actor award at the ceremony with Will Smith, Javier Bardem, Andrew Garfield and Denzel Washington.
And he is certainly a formidable contender after the movie won 12 nominations from the Academy.
Perhaps his recent house hunting is an optimistic bid to secure a grander location for his gong.
This weekend’s follow up and confirmation:

EXCLUSIVE
BEN'S NEW HOLME Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch buys £8.1m mansion with 355 acres of land Michael Hamilton Published: 21:50, 14 Jan 2023 Updated: 21:50, 14 Jan 2023
SHERLOCK star Benedict Cumberbatch has bought an £8.1million mansion with 355 acres of land.
The actor and wife Sophie Hunter agreed a deal on the country spread last May after eyeing it for two years.
Sources say the Somerset estate, which has an organic farm and cider orchard, is “totally private”.
The historic house has a Grade-II listed lodge built to impress King George III, who was a regular visitor in the late 1700s.
Cumberbatch, 46, distantly related to Richard III, also has a Gothic–style entrance arch, library and wine cellar to show off.
A source said: “It’s really lovely, secluded and peaceful, perfect for getting away from it all.
“Although the house is historic, it has all mod-cons.
“Locals in the nearby village know about the purchase.
“Everyone is excited about their new neighbours.”
Cumberbatch, who played Holmes in Sherlock, also has a home in London with theatre director, playwright and actress Sophie, 44.
The property was sold by estate agents Savills.
The Land Registry has only recently released the documents.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Conclusion, Benedict saw a property he liked in Somerset while he was there filming some scenes for DSITMOM. Just a guess.
I AM SO FOR THIS! When I came back and saw how much a few things had changed, I went "NOPE. I'm just going to go back to doing what I did the last time I was here." I'm a little older now (I was in my late 20's last time and turned 30 within that time), so now I'm in my late 30's, but my passions haven't changed much. There might be a couple of new fandoms I've joined, but they're kind of adjacent to SuperWhoLock anyway because I followed the actors to their new stuff...hence the Daemon gif on my blog's layout. I dislike change...I still cling to fandoms I've had since I was 6 and 7 years old, so... But ultimately, and more importantly, Tumblr is the *reason* I found myself a SuperWhoLock fan (be careful, it might happen to YOU one day lol). And at the time, I was agoraphobic. Hadn't officialy left my house in about 4 years. Not even to check my mail. Within only *months* of consuming all I could...I made it to my first convention and met Benedict Cumberbatch. Since then, I've even met almost the *entire* main cast of the 11th Doctor (minus Jenna-Louise Colemen,) Alex Kingston more than once, Supernatural cast members (and had dinner with two of them at the freakin' Hilton). And others that would be far too extensive to list, but some childhood heroes too. Sharing them with my mum...re-built a very long and difficult relationship and she's now a fan too. We're meeting Catherine Tate next month! So...Tumblr fandom is special to me in so so so many ways. It saved my life. Literally. It pulled me out of a prison my mind had made for itself and I started breathing again. I owe it everything. I know what you get about the conventions too... I live in a city in a country that has always struggled to get anyone decent coming here. Including musicians. They all go to the "big" cities like Sydney and Melbourne and mine gets the "scraps" usually...except for the occassional and miraculous big fandom stars Like, the Benedict line-up was INSANE and volunteers were handing out bottles of water to the crowd of like...1000 waiting. For free. In autumn. Then a couple of years later...they cancelled the event in my city because "attendance is poor". We're always screaming for the same guests as the other cities...and they no longer listen to fans that would actually fork out ALL the money that they'd ask for. If they would just listen, and care...they'd stop worrying about attendance and the profits being so low. People in my city have to travel to the others and that can cost thousands of dollars in not just tickets, but travel costs, *and* accomodation. Then when they do their events here, they don't listen to who we'd love to see, and wonder why we don't show up... They chalk it up to "you take too long to buy tickets" a lot, but that's a load of bollocks. You can see that by the times a huge artist or guest is here and they sell out in MINUTES. I missed having a photo with Benedict when I got there an hour late (due to a panic attack on the 20 minute drive there) and the tokens were all gone. They blame us, and not them just not giving a crap about us. People flew from other cities to here when Benedict was a guest. If I had the means, I'd love to start my own convention where the fans opinions matter...but right now, I'm homeless and am trying to save up to literally move out of the entire country to someplace cooler (in weather, that is). Gosh....so sorry for the novel! My brain got away from me...again.
curious! to those currently following:
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' initial reshoots officially wrapped at the start of 2022. This original round of additional filming ran from mid-November 2021 to mid-January 2022 and was described by insiders as "significant." Cumberbatch nevertheless downplayed the reshoots' importance at the time, attributing them to scheduling and logistical issues which forced the production to capture "bits that were just impossible to do on the day" after principal photography ended.
Actor Bruce Campbell, who appears in the Doctor Strange sequel in an undisclosed role, suggested that Multiverse of Madness' reshoots were a bigger deal than Cumberbatch claimed. "A majority of the film was reshot extensively, so I have no idea what's in there and what isn't," said Campbell. The actor went on to explain that the film's post-production changes were substantial enough that he wasn't even sure if he would appear in the finished film.
Sources close to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness appear to back up Campbell's version of events. These insiders allege that rather than simply filling in gaps from the original shoot, director Sam Raimi is adding new material to the film, including more cameos by MCU characters than were previously planned.
The movie releases in less than 2 months but they're still filming reshoots, adding more material and "more cameos" 🙄
