Tumblr media
The pros of being an insanely hot couple? A lot of sex and affection, a lot of people wanting to be like you and a lot of praise and admiration.
The cons of being an insanely hot couple? A lot of people trying to take your place, a lot of jealous envy and a lot of insecurity.
“Baby, you look incredible”, Hyunjin whispered into your ear as he hugged you from behind. You were standing in front of the mirror, admiring your look for the night. “I wanted to look good for you”, you shyly admitted as you leaned into him. “There is absolutely nothing you have to do to accomplish this, y/n. Nothing, you hear me?”
Ever since you met Hyunjin a couple of weeks ago your whole world turned around. You were used to dating a lot and having fun, but this was different. He was different. Both of you fell for the other rather quickly, a romance that revealed a hidden side within you.
“I want to kiss you so badly”, you whined.
“Why don’t you?”
Instantaneously, you pointed to your lips covered in deep ruby red.
“Ah”, he nodded understandingly. “Is it okay then if I do this?”, Hyunjin asked before kissing every inch of your collarbone, slightly sucking to mark his territory.
Hyunjin was a confident guy, knowing damn well that he was good looking and talented and still he felt conflicted at times. What if this was not enough? What if he was not enough for you? Since you were in your early dating stages, he never had vocalized his concerns, but his body did. His need to be near you, touch you and possess you was evident from the start.
“Jinnie, stop”, you giggled as you pushed him away.
Irritation grew on his face, not understanding why you were distancing yourself.
“I’m gonna be covered in marks that everyone is going to see”, you teased.
He felt his chest tighten. Did you not want others to see them? Did you want to be perceived as single? His own sparks of insecurity got ignited again, waiting to turn into a full-size fire.
The club was crowded with people of all kinds – dancers, jocks, hot models, a real feast for the eye. You were used to people turning their heads, especially when you were together with Hyunjin. It never bothered you that much since you knew how devoted he was to you.
“Can I tell you something?” You were laying on his chest, watching him breathe calmly. “Sure.” “I found your old DVDs in the basement, and I started watching them while you were at work. Binging them, really. And I saw something that really stuck with me”, he explained silently. “What was it?” “Ever thine. Ever mine. Ever ours”, he explained softly. You turned your head and gazed into his teary eyes. “We haven’t been together that long, I know. But this is exactly how I feel, y/n. I can’t imagine my life without you anymore. Cannot. Do not want to. Impossible.” You started tearing up as well, finally feeling at home with another soul. You placed a soft kiss on his plush lips and whispered: “I’ll be your Carry, baby.”
“Come dance with me”, you shouted as you pulled him to the dance floor. It was hot and sticky, but you didn’t mind, in fact you loved it like that. The music was energetic and vibrant, filling the whole room with energy and life force. You only had eyes for Hyunjin, watching his body move gracefully to the music. When he danced, he became one with the tunes, one with the movements. He smirked as he caught you staring, knowing damn well that you were weak for his dancing. As the song changed into a slower, sexier one you found yourself in front of him, grinding on his muscular body. All the other people were forgotten as you swayed your hips on him, feeling him getting hard behind you. His hands on your body and his hot breath on your neck was all you needed to know.
Hyunjin however was more prone to your surroundings. He enjoyed having you like that, but he hated sharing you with others. He was too aware of the other pair of eyes that was set on you. Like a reflex, he pulled you closer, grabbed a bit harder and provoked your surrender, demonstrating whom you belonged to.
“Fuck, baby, if you keep this up, we have to go”, you moaned into his ear.
“Let’s do that”, his whole face lit up. “Let’s get out of here, y/nnie.”
“But we just came?”, you whined in annoyance.
Hyunjin’s eyes darkened as his gaze pierced through you. Just like that, goosebumps formed on your skin, electricity cursed through your body making you feel all hot. He knew exactly what he was doing to you.
“I’m going to the bathroom really quick to fix this situation right here”, he said as he nodded to his crotch, “and when I come back, we leave, you hear me?”
You swallowed and nodded, already anticipating the night ahead.
“Good girl.”
He placed a kiss on your forehead and turned around, quickly looking for the bathroom.
You walked over to the exit and leaned against the cold wall, waiting for your boyfriend, already picturing him doing unspeakable things to you. You were so engulfed in your naughty daydreams that you didn’t even notice the guy from the dancefloor approaching you.
“Hey!”
“Oh, hi”, you replied politely.
“I saw you dancing earlier, damn you got moves!”, he complimented you.
“Thanks”, you replied drily.
“So uhm, would you like to have a drink with me?”
“No”, you shook your head.
“Why not?”
“Well, if you saw me dancing earlier you must have seen my boyfriend behind me, right? That’s why.”
“Shit, sorry. I kinda hoped that he was just another guy hitting on you.”
“Far from that.”
“He’s that great, huh?”
“Y/N”, Hyunjin called out angrily while glaring at the other guy.
You were taken aback by his tone, feeling anxious so you followed him without saying a word.
Fumingly, he marched to the car, while you were trying to keep up. Hyunjin placed both of his hands on the cold metal of the vehicle as he was trying to calm himself.
“Jinnie”, you called out softly.
“Don’t fucking call me that, y/n.”
“What?”
He turned around and faced you, his pupils were dilated, and his nostrils flared – he was angry as fuck.
“Don’t fucking call me that when you were flirting with some dickhead behind my back!”
“Are you serious right now?”
“Of course, I am. That bastard was eye-fucking you while we were dancing, and I left you alone for 5 minutes and you were already cozying up to him?”
“Cozying up to him? Cozying up to him? Are you out of your fucking mind?”
“What? I know what I saw!”
“Enlighten me, then. What did you see?”
“I saw you all smiley and giggly, you were practically shooting heart eyes emojis at him! Is that why you hated me giving you hickeys on your collarbone? So, everybody could see you were available?!”
You felt the punch to your stomach, making it harder to breathe. Every single word of his was laced in the most painful accusation, one that you had been familiar with way too often.
“Yeah, you’re right. I was flirting back and shooting heart eyes emojis at him. It was so much fun! And I was damn grateful that my body was free of your damn hickeys!”, you retorted angrily.
Hyunjin was about to explode, not being able to differentiate between your lies and his perceived reality.
Wordless, he turned around and got into the car. You looked at him one last time, hoping that he would come to his senses – but he didn’t. The loud sound of his engine disturbed the quiet of the night and not seconds later he was gone.
What should have been a fun night out for a young couple turned into a vicious disaster. One was crying hiding in the dirty toilet of a club, while the other was crying racing down the highway. Promises of forever love turned into accusations of unfaithfulness, painting your rosy world of adoration into black loneliness.
You had no idea how you made it back home, nor did you care. The following day was torture – you were ruminating over everything, trying to understand what had happened yesterday. Deep sadness filled your whole being. Hyunjin did not call, nor text. He vanished out of your life, just like he vanished into the night air yesterday. Was that it? Was it over?
“Damn, you look like shit. Why are your eyes so puffy?”
Hyunjin pulled the covers over his head, trying to dissolve into thin air.
“Hey, come on. Talk to me”, his friend encouraged him.
“I may have made the biggest mistake of my life yesterday.”
“Oh my god, did you cheat on y/n?”
“What? No. Of course not. I would never do that”, he explained.
“What did you do then?”
“I accused her of cheating on me.”
“Shit, sorry.”
“Don’t be. This was the last time I let my demons take over”, he mumbled as he left his room.
By evening, you felt better – at least good enough to go for a walk and clear your head. Minutes after you left Hyunjin appeared at your door – holding a giant bouquet of flowers in his trembling hands. He rang your door hundreds of times, knocked on it until his knuckles were swollen and called out for you until his throat was sore. But nothing.
Defeated, he slid down to the ground and thought of what to do.
“Y/N, I made a big mistake yesterday. I am so sorry. I should have never accused you of shit like that.”
He was wiping away his tears again, the thought of loosing you made his heart break every single time.
“You see I’m not perfect. Far from it. Yet somehow you seem to think that way. And I just… I just wait for the shoe to drop. For you to finally realize that I’m nothing special.”
“Jinnie”, you called out his name while stopping in front of your apartment. His eyes widened in surprise, immediately followed by relief. “You didn’t open up because you hated me but because you weren’t home…”
“Don’t flatter yourself, hate is on the top of the list right now”, you glared angrily.
He lowered his head in defeat.
“Are those for me?”, you nodded to the bouquet of flowers.
“Yes.”
You opened the door and passed by him. “Put them in a vase, then.”
Surprised, he got up on his feet and followed you inside.
“Can we talk?”
You sat across from him, giving him the cold shoulder.
“Talk.”
“Y/N, I am sorry. Please believe me, I am so sorry. I was seeing things, I let my insecurities win and I accused you of shit you didn’t do. Please, forgive me.”
“What did you think happened there?”
“I saw you guys talking and then I saw red. Like, you were smiling from ear to ear, practically shooting heart eyes emojis at him. I just, I just saw red.”
You sighed deeply, finally understanding where he was coming from.
“You’re right. I was shooting heart eyes emojis at him.”
“What?” Hyunjin’s heart was about to explode.
“But only because I was talking about you, Jinnie. He asked me out for a drink, and I explained to him that I already found the greatest guy on earth. I was gushing over you, like a freaking fan girl.”
“He’s that great, huh?” “Oh my god, yes. He is the greatest. No really, he is great at everything. Dancing, painting, loving? The best. He is also the kindest and loveliest guy I ever met. Always caring for the ones he loves. Never a dull moment with him. He makes me laugh so much. I swear I got abs because of him. And did you see how handsome he is? Fuck me, it’s like God created him himself and brought him to earth, so we could adore him. Fucking masterpiece, that man.” “Okay, okay, I got it”, the guy gave up. “Must be one hell of a lover.” “One hell of a lover. One hell of a soul. My soul, actually.”
“I feel like the biggest idiot right now”, he admitted ashamed.
“Yeah, you should feel like that.”
“I’m sorry, y/nnie. Can you forgive me?”
Silence lingered between the two of you, only for a moment, until you got up and walked over to him. You put your arms around his lean torso and hugged him tightly, willing to put this past you.
Hyunjin’s body finally relaxed, as he hugged you back. His lips landed on the crown of your head, simply resting there, and holding you close.
“Jinnie, wait. There is something else you need to know.”
He released you from his grip and looked at you anxiously.
“What is it?”
“When I was younger, I got bullied for hickeys. My first boyfriend always left them on my neck and the others harassed me for it, calling me slut and all sorts of names. So, it’s true, I don’t like them being visible.”
Hyunjin’s heart broke once more – for one because you had to endure this harassment, but also because he bullied you himself.
“I’m sorry, y/nnie. I won’t do that ever again.”
“Wait, no. I love your hickeys. I love your lips on me, I really do. But can we, maybe, agree to leave hickeys in places only we can see?”, you asked shily.
Hyunjin chuckled and pulled you in for a kiss, promising to do just that.
“I really meant what I said. I can’t imagine my life without you. I really can’t.”
You grabbed his hands and squeezed them, agreeing you felt the same way.          “I feel like we should talk about your insecurities, but I’m drained from last night.”
“Let’s relax for now, baby.”
“What do you want to do?”
Hyunjin’s lips turned upwards, forming the loveliest yet sneakiest smile.
“Okay, fine. I get the popcorn and you switch on the TV. Sex and the city marathon it is”, you rolled your eyes at him teasingly.

I've had a very fun and fruitful conversation with @allfearstofallto and she had some very strong reactions for a story about yandere Diluc and Tartaglia that has been marinating in my mind for a while now. I'll just give you a brief version of my idea.
You and the 11th Fatui Harbinger are to be wed. With your freedom stripped away from you and with your wedding date fast approaching, you are working tirelessly to escape the Harbinger's grasp.
However, even with your freedom stripped away, even if you have no autonomy on your own, there's an inkling in your heart in which you cannot hate your captor. He is far too kind and gentle towards you, the way in which he treats you makes your heart swell with a plethora of emotions.
But enough is enough.
You need to leave. Fast.
One evening, you act sweeter, more submissive than usual. Your fiancee eats it up and is delighted by this change in attitude. His happiness is evident because now things can proceed without a hitch. Don't worry darling, you won't be anywhere near his work. He'll keep you safe, fed and loved.
All he asks in return is to be in your heart. Love him. Love him, please. It's a hard request, a selfish one even, he knows this.
He can make it up to you. He can and he will.
He promises.
You kiss him in bed, telling him that you understand. Your eyes shift towards the hidden suitcase in the corner as you feel the drugs start to kick in. Tartaglia is fast asleep, and you finally taste the sweetness of freedom.
The man wakes up the next morning in a daze. The bed is empty and cold.
His heart shatters into a million pieces. He roars out your name like a wounded animal, his throat sore and bleeding from the pain.
He must find you.
Meanwhile, you made your way towards the City of Freedom.
You settle in, find a job, a place to live in. It's hard but you manage.
You ignore the lingering presence that you feel behind you when you're alone at night. You're making it all up, you keep telling yourself.
No one is following you.
One evening, you enter a cozy tavern. You order a drink and it is prepared by a handsome, albeit stoic bartender. You manage to get him to open up. He introduces himself as Diluc, the owner of the fine establishment in which you sat in.
How neat.
Due to various different factors, after a short while Diluc takes you in. He is patient and strict. It's an improvement.
You don't know about his ever growing obsession with you. You don't know about the endless sea of portraits he has of you. He keeps it all hidden well under wraps.
Regardless, Diluc is still only human. It's only natural that his jealousy would bubble up and rear in its ugly head from time to time.
Dawn Winery is in a way, forced to attend a massive social gathering. Diplomats from the North are everywhere and, of course, Tartaglia spots you in the crowd.
Even if his eyes were to be plucked out, he would always manage to recognize you.
Tensions rise and the danger of bloodlust reeks in the air. Much to his chagrin, Childe cannot simply just kill Diluc and be done with it.
He is being forced to play Mr Nice Diplomat.
Oh the horror, being stuck between these two.
Now, since this has the potential to be long as fuck, I was thinking of making it into a multiple part story. The best name I could come up with it so far was "A Song of Ice and Fire". I'm open to title names, if someone has better ideas. An important note to add would be that this would be a serious commitment for me as I haven't done a story like this in years. Chapter updates would probably take me a long time due to my job and potential lack of energy, but this idea has been in my brain for years now, which is a clear sign that I'm passionate about it. And, my question is - would you like for me to make this story come to life?

⋆。°✎ᝰ ˎˊ˗
"y/n!"
you turn in the corridor, almost crashing into the burly man behind you who yells a "watch where you're going blondie!" before rushing off to a class he was probably late to.
you spot your friends who had called you, grinning and waving you over, "can't go one day on campus without running someone down can you?" a friend teases.
you pout, "i didn't walk into anyone yesterday!"
"no but you got stuck in the revolving door outside the chem building."
you whine at their teasing, you were a naturally clumsy person! sometimes you'd mix up salt and sugar, and sometimes you'd lose your car keys only to find them still in the ignition keyhole of your car from the last time you used it.
"so you coming to that party tonight? i heard some famous dj from the states is playing."
"awwh really?! i can't tonight i'm failing that dumb math class i have to take and i have a quiz tomorrow so i gotta study."
"you're failing everything y/n, what difference would one night make for you anyway?" a scoff from a student passing by, who you recognise as the infamous hirai momo from the back of her head and the evil way she sends a side-eye at you and your friend group in disgust.
"i wouldn't be if it weren't for your sad ass hirai!"
"stop looking at my ass and get your eyes on some books for once."
momo was meant to be your roommate in first year. although you had accidentally locked her out in the rain for 5 hours while you were hooking up with someone you can't remember the name of anymore. that was during orientation week, safe to say she was pissed and completely drenched when you finally let her in. she filed for a roommate change not long after, citing "poor etiquette and stupidity that could infect my genius", and being the university's most promising academic scholar, she pretty much got whatever she wanted. meaning she also got you assigned to the harshest tutors and markers as her own form of personal revenge, essentially making you fail most of your first year courses. which is why you were even taking this math class again.
the problem arose however, when you find out you would actually lose your scholarship if you failed another class. so failing was definitely not an option.
⋆。°✎ᝰ ˎˊ˗
“you failed.”
“what!? but i studied all night! i even brought the right calculator model this time!”
“miss l/n, bringing the correct calculator doesn’t help you if you don’t know how to use it. and neither does studying all night if you haven’t been coming to class for most of the semester.”
you’re gaping at the professor in disbelief.
“i’m afraid you’ll lose your scholarship if you fail the upcoming final exam. take this as your final warning. good day miss l/n.”
the door is shut in your face while you're still left trying to process exactly what just happened, mouth opening and closing like a goldfish.
a familiar scoff behind you brings you back though, "what is y/n l/n doing here outside the staff meeting room? what? about to blow one of your professors for marks or something?"
you spin, stepping into her space, faces inches away from each other, "you jealous or something hirai? i'll blow you too if you beg."
you revel in the way her cheeks immediately flush, a slightly shaky finger pushing up the glasses on her nose as she looks away, "jokes on you l/n. i don't have a dick dimwit."
"you don't need one for me to make you feel good."
she's sputtering, moving around you quickly to escape, knocking on the staff door. you smirk, reveling in the slight win over her but immediately forgetting the feeling of triumph when you realise you're still fucked for your final in 2 weeks.
⋆。°✎ᝰ ˎˊ˗
"y/n, you know i love you, but i cannot explain this again in any other way."
you groan, hands coming up to pull at your hair.
"but you got like a high affliction or something for this class last year! if you can't teach me i'm actually royally screwed, pleaseee?"
"it's high distinction sweetie. and just because someone's good at something doesn't mean they're a good teacher. sorry to break it to you but i couldn't teach my little cousins how to multiply fractions without wanting to commit homicide."
you wrinkle your nose, "gross dude they're literally related to you."
"no babes homicide means i wanted to kill them."
"oh... i guess that's better?"
"focus! c'mon you remember how to do the cross product right?"
"i don't get ittttttt!!!!!!! isn't that just multiplication? a times b equals ab!"
"this isn't algebra it's vectors. cross product isn't multiplication y/n."
you groan again, facepalming the desk in front of you.
your friend sighs, "sorry y/n i have to get going now. promised my boyfriend i'd go watch his game tonight."
"what?! you can't leave me here!"
your friend's already packing up their stuff though, "sorry! good luck with the studying though!"
you wail in goodbye, sitting up again and slapping your face a few times, trying to hype yourself up.
two minutes later, and you're still absolutely nowhere.
you decide to go out for a quick stroll rather than start a campfire in the middle of the library with all your papers. the evening breeze feels refreshing against your skin as you take in the sky. breathing in a deep sigh and closing your eyes briefly.
definitely the wrong idea when you crash headfirst into something that yelps a "what the fuck!" followed by the sound of smashing glass and a whine of pain.
your eyes are quick to open and you stare down at a bleeding hirai momo next to what looks to be a ruined 3D print of a final project or something.
"oh shit momo! are you okay?" you crouch down quickly, trying to collect the glass pieces that have broken, yelping when a piece digs into your skin.
"has all that bleach finally reached your brain y/n? who goes for broken glass with their bare hands?" she's frowning, rubbing her head a little and inspecting the cut across her arm.
"i-i'm sorry i-"
she sighs, "save it. i've had a long enough day as it is. being around you any longer is just gonna increase my chances of dying to some freak plane crash or something." she's standing up and brushing her hands off on her pants muttering to herself, "i'll have to call security to come clean this up."
you realise then that her eyes look a little puffier than usual, slightly tinged with red, the telltale signs of crying.
you suddenly feel terrible. whatever you had just broken seemed like an extremely intricate piece of work, and she was still bleeding down her arm but she didn't seem to pay it much mind, taking a phone out of her pocket and dialing security.
you step to the side and wait for her to finish talking on the phone. she doesn't realise you haven't left yet, swearing under her breath as she assess the damage once again.
when she turns and sees you again, she scowls, "what are you still doing here bimbo? don't you have a dick to ride or some jewelry to shine?"
you ignore her, blushing instead, "you're still bleeding."'
she looks surprised at that response, glancing at her arm again briefly and shrugging, "it's whatever. i'll clean it up later."
you wrap a hand around her wrist then, still not meeting her eyes, "let me? it'll be hard to bandage it properly with your left hand. and i kinda owe you for all of-" you gesture vaguely with your other hand at the ground, "this."
she's tugging her hand back quickly though, "don't bother. you'd probably make it worse. just go home y/n."
you sigh exasperatedly, "won't you just let me help! i feel bad okay? i can't just leave you here bleeding onto the concrete waiting for security to come clean this up."
she's surprised at your outburst, eyes locking onto yours and then nodding slightly. you don't let her rethink her decision as you drag her back inside the library, heading into the storeroom where you knew they had emergency first aid supplies.
you sit her down on the chair and rummage through the small kit for some alcohol wipes to clean the wound first.
she's eyeing you with a sort of caution, but is quick to clench her eyes shut and gasp at the first sting of disinfectant.
it's quiet for a bit while you work on cleaning her wound.
"where'd you learn first aid?" she speaks up first, eyes meting yours again.
"my little sister used to play around a lot with the rougher kids in the neighborhood. so she was always coming home with scratches and cuts and my mom was at work most of the time so i had to learn to take care of her myself."
momo hums, "guess that didn't really translate to taking care of yourself then huh? i mean with the way you're always tripping over air and stuff, you're more of a danger to yourself than a serial killer would be." there's no malice to her words this time, just lightly teasing you and you smile.
"i am sorry by the way. for breaking that. it looked like it'll be pretty hard to replicate."
"nah. i can just print another one tomorrow don't worry."
you both fall into silence again as you finish cleaning her wound, going to collect a few of the bandages to start wrapping around her arm.
you clear your throat a little awkwardly, "so... long day?"
she chuckles humorlessly in response, "something like that."
"wanna talk about it?"
she bristles then, and you're quick to correct yourself, "i mean you don't have to. just... making conversation."
it's quiet for a little longer and you're finishing wrapping her up, grabbing a small adhesive to stick it all together when she sighs. "sorry. just had a lot of pressure from back home lately. my parents keep wanting me to hurry up and graduate so i can go back to japan and take over the family companies. they called earlier saying how they're cutting off my funding for next year if i continue to drag out my studies."
"what? but you're only 23. don't you have like, things left you wanna do before you're all old and unable to move anymore?"
she giggles a little, its the first time you've heard that from her, "yeah tons actually. i've always wanted to see the northern lights and stay in one of those cute little igloos in finland, maybe go to antarctica and do some research there."
"okay! do that! what's stopping you?"
she smiles at you sadly, "my parents won't allow it. they'd disown me for not taking over their companies. and frankly, i'd be broke without them. i don't have the kind of money to keep living abroad like this if they were to stop supporting me."
you tilt your head a little in confusion, "can't you find a job?"
she's laughing then, a full, nose-scrunching laugh, "not with the classes i'm taking. i'd have to either take part-time study, which my parents would literally kill me for because it's 'embarassing' and would bring shame on our family name, or... never sleep again and take a night job or something."
you frown, sitting back on your heels.
"thanks for this by the way. you're still hurt though, do you want me to do you?"
"-and don't make a weird joke about that." she interrupts you before you can even open your mouth.
you pout, nodding a little as she laughs, and grabs the first aid box from you, gently placing your hand in her lap and cleaning your fingers.
you're caught by the way her eyebrows furrow a little in concentration, her teeth biting into her bottom lip slightly, and you can't help but think she looks cute.
you're brought quickly out of these alarming thoughts though, when she asks "how come you're in the library so late on a friday night anyway? never thought the day would come."
you groan, remembering the stack of math papers you have sitting on your desk, "i have to study for a math final coming next week. if i fail i lose my scholarship and i can't let my mom pay for any of this. she's already worked hard enough getting both my sister and me through school."
momo looks surprised at your admission, "oh. i'm sorry. i didn't know you were on scholarship."
you hum, "yeah most people don't assume it from looking at me." you tease a little, flipping your blonde hair over your shoulder and giving a little jingle of your bracelets.
"i'm not materialistic or anything but i enjoy having things that make me look nice y'know?"
she rolls her eyes, placing bandaids carefully onto your fingers.
"you don't need any of those things anyway."
you're caught again, unsure whether that was a compliment or some new way of torturing you.
she clears her throat, "all done."
you look at your hand, cutely littered with some winnie the pooh bandaids she must have found in the first aid kit.
you beam up at her, "thanks!"
she blushes a little and looks away from you, shyly rubbing the back of her neck, "hey look... i can help you study for that test next week if you want. don't want you losing your scholarship over something simple like that. plus i kinda helped go through all the first year math exams for some extra credit with the head of department."
you're shocked at first, and then jumping and squealing, bringing her up with you, "what?! you will?! oh my god thank you!!!!! holy shit oh my god i'm not gonna fail oh shit i'm-"
she's shooshing you in an instant though, a hand clamped over your mouth, eyes darting behind you, "y/n! we're still in a library!"
you grin when she lets you go, whispering loudly, "thank you!"
she's rolling her eyes and letting herself be dragged over to your table, praying that she didn't make the wrong decision deciding to help you.
⋆。°✎ᝰ ˎˊ˗
momo's standing outside your lecture theatre, waiting for your class to end. you texted her saying you were getting your final results back today so she decided to pop by and make sure everything was okay.
once students start exiting the class she slips in, walking towards the professor who's packing up her stuff..
"momo! good to see you here. although i'm a little surprised. i wasn't expecting you."
"hey professor kwon. i'm just here to-"
momo's attacked from the back, you're squealing as you latch onto her excitedly, waving a test paper in front of her face, "i passed! momo look i passed! with a 62!!!!! that's higher than i've ever gotten!!!!!"
"miss l/n. i didn't know you knew momo." professor kwon is looking you up and down with a little distaste but you ignore it, squeezing momo even tighter in thanks.
"y/n- stop- wait lemme see that-" she snatches the paper out of your hand and scans it, eyes lighting up when she confirms you did in fact pass.
"congratulations! all that hard work really paid off."
you're blushing, "couldn't have done it without you hirai. c'mon, come out with my friends and i tonight to celebrate!"
"o-oh i don't know about that y/n... i've got-"
"study yeah yeah you always do. but you've gotta relax every now and then you know?"
"miss l/n is right momo. you're the most hardworking student here you should give yourself a break every now and then."
you're nodding fiercely, "right right! thanks professor kim!"
she looks at you with a glare, "kwon. its professor kwon miss l/n."
you're nodding, waving her off shaking momo, "c'mon pleaseeeeeeee? i'll pay for everything. as a thanks for helping me. and i can afford it now too since i won't be losing my scholarship which is also thanks to you so..!"
momo's still uncertain, hand at the back of her neck again, a nervous tick you've picked up on.
"oh professor i just remembered!" you're switching back to your professor, excitement and attention everywhere, "you were looking for outstanding students to tutor next semester right? how about momo? she's the only reason i passed this final and trust me when i say i'm a pretty difficult student to teach."
"oh?" the professor looks towards momo who's eyes have widened, "i had actually planned on asking you regardless but seeing as you were very successful with miss l/n it's just even more proof that you'd be a great teacher. what do you say momo? it's paid decently and great on your academic and work transcripts as well..."
you're looking between your professor and momo with full eyes.
momo looks like she's about to reject the offer, you knew it was because her parents expected her to be back in japan next year but you stop her before she's able to say anything.
"momo! this is great! this is exactly what you need! a job while you're still at uni so you can study at any time but still get paid for it!"
"y/n..."
"it's okay momo. think about it and let me know if you're interested and you've got the job 100%. i've got to get going to my next class now but goodbye girls, congratulations miss l/n but i hope i won't be seeing you in my class next year."
"oh definitely not professor kim!" you wave enthusiastically, giggling at the way the professor sighs in defeat.
you look back at momo who still looks a little stunned.
"well? what do you think?" you ask her excitedly.
"i- i don't know... there's a lot to think about..."
you tilt your head to the side a little in confusion, a gesture momo was beginning to grow fond of.
"i can't just abandon my family y/n. it's a decision that will take me some time to go over." she smiles at you gently, you can't believe this was the same girl who used to call you mean words and intentionally pray on your downfall.
"mm okay. i don't really get it but as long as you're happy in the end it doesn't matter. now c'mon! you coming tonight or not?"
she sighs fondly, "yeah yeah just this once. and we better be home by 12!"
you're pulling her along again scoffing, "riiiiiiiiight 12pm maybe."
"y/n!"

momo was most definitely out of her comfort zone. she mostly stuck to the bar, avoiding eye contact with people who tried to approach her. she quickly ordered another drink, hoping the alcohol could at least ease her nerves.
you were most definitely in your zone. you adored being able to dress up and let loose, especially when everyone else is so drunk you’re no longer the only person falling over themselves. you could laugh a little and have fun as well.
you could feel momo’s eyes on you and you ached to drag her out onto the dance floor and join you but she was adamant on staying by the bar when you had tried.
you’re not sure if it was the alcohol or maybe you were just attracted to her now after you’ve spent a whole week studying with her pretty much every minute of every day. but she looked good. you licked your lips as your eyes trailed down the slant of her jawline, her neck and clavicles outlined in the halter top she was sporting. your eyes politely moved past her chest but darted straight down to the abs that she apparently had hidden from the entire student body. how did she even have time to have abs when she always had her nose in a book or was in a lab conducting experiments?
you snap out of it when you realise said abs were moving closer to you for some reason, and suddenly she's all in your space, shoving someone behind you that you hadn't even realised was there in your momo-induced daze.
you turn to see a man with half his shirt unbuttoned and a look of surprise on his face. "the fuck dude?"
momo says nothing, reaching for your drink instead, sticking a finger in and swirling it around for 2 seconds before bringing it to her lips.
that was hot.
"rohypnol."
"what? what the fuck are you on about?" the guy is annoyed, drawing the attention of bystanders as they create a small circle around the three of you, you spot your friends in the crowd looking at you in confusion silently asking what's going on?
you can only shake your head, attention moving back to momo who's standing up straight, almost chest to chest with the guy now.
"rohypnol. a drug belonging to the benzodiazepine class of drugs that inhibits the central nervous system causing the user to experience extreme drowsiness and even blackout in some cases. it can also cause the user memory loss and brings the user to a higher state of intoxication in a rapid amount of time. it's street name is roofies."
the man is sputtering now, "w-what? what is this bullshit? what are you tryna say huh?"
"that you tried to roofie my friend here. do you want me to call the police? have them check this drink for traces of the drug?"
"what!? the fuck?!"
momo sighs, her eyes closing for a second, "is your vocabulary only limited to what? and the fuck? it's getting tiring talking to you."
he's gaping like a fish, the people surrounding you have called security over and they're tying his hands behind his back and he's left squirming against them, yelling more curses as momo stands stoically, watching him get taken away.
she sighs when he's out of sight and turns to you with a smile, "you should be more careful. you could've been hurt tonight."
you can't even think straight and the music is being turned back up, and momo looks so good, you can't help the way you're pulling her in by the waist and planting your lips on hers.
she makes a sound of surprise and is shocked for a second, but closes her eyes and returns the kiss, maneuvering you a little so she can place the spiked drink on a nearby table before her hand returns to you, one hand cupping your cheek, the other on your shoulder.
you're a little desperate when you claw at her abs that are now within touching distance, and she giggles into the kiss. you mutter a small shut up, reattaching your lips, feeling all the adrenaline of the night pumping through you as you mould yourself against her.
"god is it weird that- that kinda turned me on a little?" you're speaking between breaths, her lips swallowing up your words, not letting you catch a break.
she hums lightly against you, "which part?"
"the- when you were talking- about all those chemicals- and whatever-"
she breaks away from you then, an eyebrow arched and a hint of a smirk on her face, "you get off on me talking nerdy?"
you want to wipe that smirk off her face. "take me home and i'll show you what i get off on."
her eyes darken considerably, and she's tugging you towards the exit, grabbing the spiked drink and pouring it down the drain first to make sure no one drinks it. the little action of consideration even when you're both overwhelmed with lust just gets you more wet.
you send a quick text to your friends saying you had to leave early, and then you're in a cab, lips on each other's again, hands roaming and exploring every inch of available skin.
you suppose the one good thing out of that math exam was it bringing the two of you together at last.

I've been obsessed with @demon-of-the-ancient-world's post about Paul bandaging his own wounds after the duel with Feyd ever since I saw it. Partially because I am pretty sure he would not be physically able to do it, but he sure would try. So have a little thing.
Eventually, he is able to stop giving orders and having them fervently obeyed long enough to limp over to the hallway leading out of the war room. With every step, he is figuring out how to better hide the limp. His side still fucking hurts.
Close to the relief of the cool dark hallway, he spots a familiar face. Mari, the medic from his old band of fedaykin. Her gaze falters as he approaches.
"Bandages," he requests. At least his voice is still coming out steady.
She fishes in her pack and pulls out a roll. Holds it out to him like an offering, her fingers retreating as soon as he takes it.
She'd once held him down with a knee on his back while she pulled a piece of shrapnel out of his shoulder. Now she is afraid to touch him.
"More," he rasps.
She produces another roll. That should be enough.
There's a little anteroom just off the main chamber. A few Fremen trail after him as he heads there.
"Guard the door," he says to no one in particular. "No one enters." He shuts them all out.
He doesn't remember what this room was used for, in the brief time that he had lived here. It's empty now, save for a stone platform that runs along one wall at waist height. He drops the rolls of bandages on the platform and sags against it.
As soon as he lets the control slip, a wave of nausea washes over him. His head is pounding, blood drying tacky and itchy on his face, and with every breath it feels like both knives are still inside him.
Focus. He hears it in his mother's voice. She taught him this, how to reach inside himself and master pain. Attention stretching inward, finding the nerve endings that are screaming and shutting them down. He'd practiced with an embroidery needle pricking his finger. This is a bit more than that.
He concentrates until everything still hurts, but not so much that he's going to pass out. Probably. Then he starts working the fastenings of his stillsuit loose.
He gets the shoulder straps released and the moisture seal broken at the main seam, but then he's stuck. Pulling the suit off his left shoulder requires raising his right arm, and that comes with a spike of pain and an abrupt tilt of the floor underneath him. He grabs the edge of the platform and has to spend some more time working on not passing out. Starting with his right shoulder proves no better; twisting his torso in that direction makes his vision gray at the edges.
He's leaning heavily against the stone platform trying to figure out what to do when there's a commotion at the door. He hauls himself into standing up straight just as a young man, wide-eyed and with blood all down the front of his stillsuit, gets shoved into the room. "Forgive me, Lisan al-Gaib," the man says. "The scarfless warmaster insists on entering."
It takes him a minute to realize who he is talking about. "Let him in."
The man retreats, and Gurney steps into the room. "My lord." His gaze takes in the bandages, the pathetic progress he's made on removing his stillsuit. He closes the door behind him. "If I may."
Paul nods.
As soon as Gurney peels the stillsuit back from his injured shoulder, he realizes he never could've done it alone. It's a two-handed job, easing his arm out of the garment, and he needs his one free hand to bite down on to keep from making noise.
Gurney helps him slide the suit down to his waist. His torso is painted with blood but there's nothing to clean it with now. Best to focus on keeping any more from coming out.
Together they bandage his side, then his shoulder. Gurney's hands are not unkind but they are pragmatic, efficient, not flinching away from his wounds but not lingering either. There is no talking save Paul telling him to wrap the bandage tighter.
He remembers a time, long ago. Sitting on a storage chest in the staging room of the parade grounds below Castle Caladan, watching Gurney help his father put his armor on.
There had been a surrender--of whom, he can't remember. He could not have been more than five or six at the time. Generals of the army they'd just defeated coming to sign the armistice agreement, but with enough resentment about it that everyone was nervous, and his father was wearing armor to declare peace.
There had been no talking then, either. Just Gurney moving practically around his father, an extra pair of hands for pauldrons and breastplate and greaves, while his father practiced the speech he was going to give under his breath, making subtle adjustments to tone and emphasis along the way. He doesn't remember the speech, only the feeling, Gurney preparing his father's body while his father prepared himself in other ways.
That is what is happening now.
Once they get his shoulder wrapped as tight as they can, Gurney helps him ease the stillsuit back on. Gurney still needs some direction to get it laced properly, the Fremen way, but having another pair of hands to pull the straps tight over his shoulders means he only has to grit his teeth, not spend time waiting for the room for stop spinning.
He takes a few test steps across the room. The bandage around his ribs restricts his breathing a little, but it makes walking slightly less painful. That will do.
He pulls himself up to his full height, straight-backed, head held high. The posture of an emperor. Ready for battle.

A Nap With The Captain
This is for @primosfiore who wanted a nap with Capitano Copia from my Steampunk Universe, Clockwork Hearts 💙 You do not need to read the other stories in this verse before this one!
Tumblr media
Cardinal Copia x gn!reader
Other tales from the Clockwork Hearts universe: Capitano Copia, Clockwork Friends, Building a Family and Napping in the Clouds.
Warnings: none, sfw, 1k words (thank you to @ghuleh-recs for the dividers!)
Tumblr media
He smelled like smoke and engine oil.
You had given up trying to get him to clean a bit before bed a while ago.  More often than not Copia was so exhausted after working on his airship The Impera all day that he’d barely manage to get his boots off before falling into bed.  Your bed, specifically.
Today was a little different though, the sun was still shining through the windows of your cabin when there was a quick knock on your door.  The knock was your only warning before Copia stumbled in looking like he’d stuck his wrench into the shining blue core of the ship.  You both were still for a beat as you blinked at each other.  Copia may have had the habit of barging into your cabin mostly unannounced but he was always willing to leave if you told him to.
Not that you ever did.
“What happened to you?”  Copia’s only response to your question was a grunt.  He continued to stand in place, his eyes looking a little unfocused as they watched you.  “Copia?”
“There might have been a little…explosion.”  Alarmed, you rushed up from your desk to check him over.  He weakly batted at your hands when you poked and prodded at him.  “Sto bene, I’m fine!”
“I’ll be the judge of that.”  He sighed but stopped fighting you, his cheeks pinking up a bit when you swept your fingers across them.  You gently pulled the goggles off his head, trying not to laugh when his salt and pepper hair stuck up every which way when they were gone.  “You need a shower.”
Copia rolled his eyes, reaching up to take your hands in his.  He brought them to his mouth and began pressing kisses into your knuckles.  “What I need is some sleep.”  He turned your hands over to press a kiss into each palm and then moved lower to kiss where your pulse was strong on the inside of your wrists.  “Preferably with you at my side.”
“Is that an order?”  You rolled your eyes at the raised eyebrow on his face and then corrected yourself.  “I’m sorry, is that an order Capitano?”
“Sì!  The very highest of orders.”
He dropped your hands and immediately went over to the small bed along the wall.  You shyly looked away, expecting him to work on removing some of his clothes but when the bed springs creaked noisily you looked back to see him sprawled across your bed fully clothed.
“Hey!  Ugh Copia, you’re getting everything dirty!”  He mumbled something in Italian as you unbuttoned his vest, turning away from you so he was facing the wall.  You straightened up to glare down at him, annoyed at all the grease and dirt you could already see on your clean blankets.  “At least take your damned boots off.”
His only response was more grumbling so you took them off yourself, wrinkling your nose and quickly dropping them to the floor when they were off.  Copia was already still, his quiet snores filling the room when you took a step back from the bed.  It was rare to see him so peaceful.  Ever since you had met him he always seemed to be on the move.  Whether it was strolling along the deck of his ship or elbow deep in some machine or even following you around like his little clockwork rats followed him, Copia was rarely still.
It made moments like this special.
You took a few steps back from the bed, wincing when the floorboards creaked under your feet.  While he napped you could work on the new engine designs.  Everything needed to be reimagined and rebuilt, parts needed to be bought, parts needed to be stolen…there was so much to do.  Too much to do and precious little time to do it in.  But Copia needed this, he needed rest.  You would never deny him that.
“Are you staring at me while I sleep?”
His voice startled you and when your eyes focused on him again he was looking over his shoulder grinning like an idiot.
“More like glaring.  You’ve gotten grease over everything.  Again.”
“A little grease never hurt anyone.”  He rolled onto his back and held a hand out, his gloved fingers wiggling in your direction.  “Come here.”
“Copia I have to finish this.”
“And you will, but right now you should rest.  With me.”  When you remained unmoved he stuck his bottom lip out in an exaggerated pout.  “Per favore.”
You shouldn’t, you really shouldn’t.  And not just because you did really need to finish the diagram you were working on but also because whatever was developing between you and Copia was filling your head and heart with all sorts of ideas.  Ideas you weren’t sure could ever actually happen, not with so much on the line right now.  But maybe that was reason enough to let whatever was going on develop.
Not knowing what tomorrow would bring was reason enough to take a chance.
“Alright, fine.”
His glove was warm under your hand when you let him tug you into bed.  He scooted over just a bit more, enough to give you some more room but not enough that you had no other choice but to be pressed against him.  Copia was humming a jaunty tune as you got settled, your head finally resting on his shoulder and one of your arms wrapped around his waist.
“See?  Questo è buono.”  He took your hand resting on his stomach in one of his and gave it a squeeze.  “Good, right?”
You closed your eyes for a moment, burying your nose in his shirt and collecting yourself before you answered, “It’s very good, Copia.”
“Ah ah, it’s Capit–ai!”
He jerked away when you pinched his side, giving you the same look that used to scare you but now it just made you smile.
“My apologies.”  You rubbed your hand over where you pinched him and his body soon relaxed again, his eyes once more beginning to droop.  “It’s very good, Capitano.”
His lips pulled up in a soft smile but you could tell he was already falling asleep.  You shifted a bit next to him to get comfortable again and it wasn’t long before you were joining him.  The hum of the ship and the sounds of his breathing following you into your dreams.

“You hate me,” Leon states like an upset child, one false lash deep into a murky pit he couldn’t even grapple hook his way out of.
“No, baby.” You shake your head, smiling at him like you hate him. “I love you very much.” The other lash is stuck on, black and spidery in spiky kitchen knife points. He blinks and the heaviness does not melt away like sleep. “My sweet girl.”
“You do,” Leon says, he makes a vague gesture towards his attire, scooping nothing but air with his cupped hand, “hate me,” he adds after a second, the words hang heavy in the air like sopping wet laundry or a body from a tree. You’re busy giving him a once over, a small hand lightly grasping his chin to keep his head up. You’ve never held him so gently before, but this is how girls treat other girls, he supposes. With great care.
“What?” You use a lint roller to pick up loose fibre and tricky stray particles of dust. “Because I made you all pretty, honey?” You lean forward, and Leon, besotted, closes his eyes as if you’re going to kiss him. “I just did your makeup, no kisses, Leon.” Of course, that’s right, he forgot, no kisses. You lick your finger and smudge your work to give him that freshly fucked and wanting more appeal.
“Sorry.” He looks at his reflection.
Blink. Blink. Blink. His eyes make a tacky noise, as if each blink is unsticking them.
He looks ridiculous, not even like a drag queen, they are tasteful and deliberate in their art. He looks exactly like what he is - a man in a wig. There is no pretty way to put it because what he is looking at is not very pretty. The wig tickles his neck like a pale whisper. It is shining too brightly in the way all fake things do, plasticky in the buzzing bathroom light. Metallic shimmer dusts his eyelids like crushed stars, iridescent-pearlescent is all the rage nowadays, it’s barely visible past the thick black that lines his eyes like you’re actively trying to worsen his bags and push him into panda territory.
Leon thinks it is a good idea to think of nothing ever again, like ever. If he didn’t have that thought, if he didn’t sit opposite you at the dining table confessional-style, if he shut his mouth and never spoke a word—Then he would not be sitting here closer to tears than he ever has been, fists clenched tight enough to make coal into diamonds.
You thumb the corner of his glossed lips. “Ready?” You ask him, then turn to face him, pulling a smile that is so mean it’s somewhat ugly and out of place on a face like yours. “Don’t speak or you’ll ruin it, ‘kay?”
A bag big enough to carry a lip gloss tube and nothing else dangles on your pinky as you check your face in the mirror, usually your gloss would be in Leon’s breast pocket, or his back pocket. Whatever pocket he has available.
Today he has nothing of the sort, embarrassingly, you place a tube between his pecs and it stays. You tip your head back and laugh at him, swiping it away a moment later. “I’m only joking, Leon.”
A considerable amount of muscle has been dropped since he came back from Spain. Cooking is hard, eating is harder, and he only really makes the effort when you visit. You don’t pry, so it’s only now that he notices, filling out your dress too well, that his edge has almost completely been lost to softness.
And it’s still there—He’s still a man with a dick and balls first and foremost. His arms are big, and his chest juts out in the wrong way. Wrong. It’s all so wrong.
This thought is neutered by your hand on his too-big bicep, fingers curling to his shape as you guide him along the stairs in matching kitten heels, he clutches the bannister for support like he’s going into labour.
Today you drive. “Got to treat you like a princess,” you say, smiling at him. All teeth. You take off your heels and kick them beneath the seat where they’ll surely tangle in the cables.
Leon reclines in his seat, closing his eyes and breathing in and out, two minutes away from inducing labour. Dramatics, y’know? Because he’s a girl today, not because he feels like he is being gutted by a claw machine.
You drive, he tosses and turns and squints at the road ahead to hide his creased brow. You drive, and he wonders what led him to this very moment, what has become of him and his pity party life. But Simon Says and Leon does. You say and Leon follows blindly like a die-hard fucking fan of Jesus would. A disciple, he guesses, but in some way even that is too much credit. At least they were, like, on equal grounds. He’s too passive to be Judas, and too much of an unbeliever to be any of the other ones. He is just some fucking mangey street urchin suckling on the teat of a wild dog that Jesus patted once and cured and would not leave the poor dude alone.
Unfortunately, Leon takes instructions better than he does dick and that is his problem. Yeah, that’s what he was trying to say before it all got away from him.
The bouncer questions nothing, no ID is needed, which is both a relief and an insult to Leon. Does he look that old? This makeup, this dress, this stringy mop of a wig it ages him.
The bass of a thousand beating hearts rips through him.
If Leon was a girl he’d simply kill himself. It hurts too much. The dress is itchy and his chest is sweating and his full face of makeup is melting his skin into goop and his feet are killing him. He’s sorry for all those times he requested a girl keep her stilettos on during sex. He’s sorry to you for buying you shoes on all those anniversaries, birthdays and Christmases. He’s sorry for that time he requested a lap dance in heels on your anniversary, his birthday, and that joint Christmas. He is sorry to every fucking woman for the system that has been put in place that requires them to wear heels to work and to dinner dates and to pick their kids up from preschool.
“Are you hurting, baby?” You place a cool hand on his cheek, feather-light, ensuring you don’t smear his pasty foundation. When he nods, pitiful, you coo at him. “Oh, big ol’ Agent Kennedy, I’m sure you can handle it, sweetie.”
Leon shakes his head again, firmer and sadder. “You can handle it,” you tell him, smiling dropping as fast as it came. A hand comes to rest on his waist then slides upwards along his naked back, courtesy of the open back of his blue dress, gliding over his pronounced shoulder blades. Lily-white and spread sideways like lotus petals or something akin to angel wings.
The two of you end up in a booth with four men and a red-headed girl who is decently pretty. She talks too fast for Leon’s liking, and each time she opens her mouth, which is a lot of fucking times for a long fucking time, her spit flies out and lands on his face in beads.
There is a man who’s tall and strapping in the way Leon likes his men in the private fantasies he keeps hidden in the lonely gallery that is his mind. His experience with dick starts with Jack and ends somewhere before you. Jack taught him how to work a dick, and if Leon were to kiss and tell, he’d tell this man how much he wants to play with it, stroke it and love on it.
(Only if he was a girl, which tonight he is.)
You’re midway through telling a story, leant in for added effect, elbows on the sticky table. “And Leon says, she’s like—“ Your voice fades out.
Another guy, stout and ugly, sort of piggish in the face, asks, “Is it a dude?” He jabs his thumb in Leon’s direction. “That’s a dude's name.”
“What, no.” You frown, breezing over your blunder like fingers on silk. “It’s a nickname, y’know, from when we were kids, ‘cause she looks like a dude.” Laughter lifts into the air like plumes of smoke. Leon feels like he is breathing it in, tiny shards crystallise in his lungs and choke him.
He shouldn’t be humiliated, there is nothing to be humiliated about because he is what you say he is. He’s a dude. But he is humiliated, and it is driving him mad, he has killed himself in a hundred different brutal ways in his head while you talk.
“She don’t talk, she got a problem?” He says in his nasty, thick voice. “Is she retarded?” It sounds like there’s phlegm lodged in his throat all the fucking time. “Feminist?” Good lord.
“Oh my gosh, like, I don’t think you can say that,” the ginger smiles nervously.
“She just gets a little scared around guys.” Your smile is so cold it chills him to his core. “Bad experiences, y’know?”
Not exactly wrong. Leon is weary of shared showers, he is weary of urinals, of stalls with busted locks, and he is weary of other men, but he would never say it and he would never show it. But now, sitting here as a girl, as a woman, he trembles.
“Oh, yeah?” The dude sits back, spreads his legs to accommodate a dick he likely doesn’t have. Then he leaves it at that.
You kiss him to make up for the silence, you grope his tits—his chest through the fabric of his dress, you raise your Von Dutch tee to show off your cute heart-shaped pasties. None of it is for Leon, it’s for the guys sitting in front of you, because as a woman you exist for men, to perform and flash your panties and act like you’re into it.
Which you are, he knows your pussy is wet ‘cause of that look on your face, eyes glinting like marbles, you’re getting off on him being stretched past his limits.
An hour later, you push him onto the dance floor, watching through throngs of people and Leon is met with the pig-faced guy, he’s pink and sweaty like one too. Leon denies every advance he lays out. Then fingers splay over the round of Leon’s ass, and his flesh is gripped so tight it mottles how dicks purple.
The guy says something and everything and nothing but fluff. You uppity slut—You think you can—Speak up—Y’know, even the ugliest bitches have wet little pussies between their legs—
Leon really does not.
Leon could push him off. He could break his fingers, disable him, kill him in the middle of this godforsaken dance floor. But he just stands there and stares like a real woman.
(But he has always stood there and looked death right in the eye, it comes hurtling, barrelling into him at full speed like a shit-caked asteroid and all he does is stand there. He’s not had the energy to get back up lately.)
The handsome guy, the one that is taller than Leon, the one that he likes a lot, steps in and saves him. And this is what it must feel like, to be swept off your feet. To be princess carried and loved sweetly by someone worn and rough.
Christ, this wig has a mind of its own. Infecting Leon’s psyche with its mushy bullshit. He wants to go home. He wants a beer and a drag from your cigarette. He doesn’t smoke, but he will tonight.
“Are you alright?” The handsome man somehow manages to shout gently over the music. He is so nice, and so handsome it feels wrong to look at him. Leon thinks he knows, and when this man smiles, Leon knows that he knows for certain. “I won't tell.” He grins down at Leon again, soft and brilliant and kind.
Leon passes you on the way to the bathroom, he tells you that it’s getting stuffy in here, then he leaves to get stuffed with cock in the ladies room as all good boyfriends do.
The click of heels makes him suck in a breath, he plants two hands on the broad chest in front of him, tightens around the dick in him so hard he might cut off all blood flow, salty fingers in his mouth keep him from crying out.
Leon knows it’s you from the clink of your bangles. The source of chatter is the red-headed girl, you likely motion for her to be silent—He counts to twenty then meets your eye under the gap in the door. He whimpers around the fingers in his mouth.
“Oh my gosh, there’s totally someone in there,” you gush to the other girl who gasps, “I saw, like, two pairs of shoes, really cute heels.”
“She’s luckyyy, I hope she’s getting it good,” she sighs, “hey, where’d your friend go by the way, the blonde one?”
“Leon?” You seem to pause, weighing up your options. “She’s a total fucking slut.”
“No fucking way!”
“Yes fucking way, I bet she’s gone home with some guy already—I mean, she might be in that fucking stall, wouldn’t put it past her.”
In the stall, Leon shifts, back bumping the wall as he pushes his hips out, grinding down on his dick like he needs this over and done with.
“I could never do that…” The redhead says, “It’s, like, so icky in here…”
“I don’t think Leon minds,” you muse, “I mean, like, don’t tell her I told you, but she gets on her knees in club bathrooms, like, she’s dirty.”
“Gross!”
“I know!” You burst into giggles. “I told her that’s, like, way too far! I mean they don’t even clean these places properly, they send some underpaid dude with a Kleenex out to do the job.”
Leon’s knees ache with the guilt of sucking dick on his knees in a Kleenex-cleaned club bathroom. The dick inside of him throbs, a single push and it spills into the rubber.
The click of heels fades out as you and your newfound friend exit the bathroom.
“You let your friend talk about you like that?” The man asks, smiling still.
“She’s my girlfriend,” Leon says meekly in a voice that is not his. He has never been meek or scared or anything of the sort. Leon has guts, too many maybe, they make him stupid. That’s what he gets by on. That’s why Leon returns home. Because he tries not to make a place for feelings.
“I know.” The guy shrugs, he spins Leon around so his back is facing the mirrors. Leon twists his head to look. The striated planes of his back. Your nails in his skin.
“Oh.”
Leon gets in your car and apologises.
“Aw.” You pinch his cheek, uncaring of your heavy hand now that his lipstick is smeared in rings around another man’s dick. “I know, baby, my girl just wanted to have fun.”
My girl, my girl, my girl. He’s not your girl. You’re his girl, and he’s your man and that’s the way Leon likes it. He likes to drape his arm over your shoulders in place of a coat when it gets windy, he likes to pay the bill on dates, he likes to drive you around and he likes to hold your shopping bags. Because that is good and swell and—It’s normal.
You drive him home without saying a word, letting him sit and drown in the weight of his problems until you help him inside, he’s hindered by 1.5 inch heels.
When Leon tries to take his dress off, you stop him. “Princess,” you coo, his teeth rot and he smells the cavities, “I want to play with you.”
“Not like this,” he begs, gazing up at you through his false lashes.
“Yes, like this, baby.” You sit him down on the couch, you take off your heels and then bend down to unbuckle the strap on his. That’s his job. Leon should be doing that for you, a tender grip on your ankle as he threads the metal through the needled holes. “Look at these.” You stand back up, taking the seat beside him, one of your small hands grabbing the underside of his thighs and spreading him open, a leg thrown over yours. “These cute tits,” you say, kissing his neck as you shove your hand down the low-cut neck of his dress, grabbing at his chest in pinching handfuls.
“Don’t call them that,” Leon says quietly, his ears pink like the pucker of his hole.
“I’ll say what I want, princess, okay?” You kiss him hard, teeth knocking into his and your wet tongue running over his front teeth like you want to scrape the plaque from them. “I’m going to fuck you like a girl,” you tell him, pushing his legs as far as they go, his toes curl.
“I don’t like that—“
“I don’t like your dick or your stupid sex talk and I don’t like being fucking pile drived, do you think I like being folded like origami you stupid fucking oaf?” It’s said in the same measured tone of voice you always use, the one that makes him feel stupid. “This is what it’s like being a girl, baby, gotta do what I want.”
Then you lift your hips, skirt shed and panties to the side, puffy pussy swallowing the tip of his cock as you sit on it, taking it inch by inch by inch by inch. All four of ‘em. You hold onto his ankles as you fuck yourself on his cock, a soft squelch everytime his cock bottoms out, slick dripping down his thick shaft and balls.
Leon doesn't like this. How you have him. How you’re taking him, but it doesn’t stop him from feeling good. Your pussy is wet and warm and it squeezes around him, gripping his cock like it’s all you’ve got to live for. You reach between your thighs to rub your swollen clit, but Leon beats you, wanting to make himself useful.
“Good girl,” you praise, eyes rolling back into your skull as you slow your pace, coming to a halt as you place a hand over his, urging him to rub you raw. Then you cum as he presses his thumb into your tiny bud hard, cunt spasming around his dick, letting out a gasp and toppling forward into his chest. Leon’s cock slips out of your cunt, rock hard and lonely, he holds you as his legs drop to the floor, feet on the floor where they belong.
“I didn’t… I didn’t get to…” Leon looks at your face and then his stiff dick, pouting almost.
“I know, baby.” You kiss his head tenderly, so tender he nearly forgets why he’s upset. “But you’re a girl now, right?”

say it's unforgivable
pairing- sirius black x auror!reader warning(s)- hurt/comfort. a/n- heads up, maa and papa refer to james' mum and dad :)
little train. series masterlist.
Tumblr media
the moment he gets up from the metal chair, he realizes he's doomed. his heart aches. he has nowhere to go. with maa and papa dead he's stuck, stranded upon the lonely crevice of life. as the minutes pass by, he stands, watching as the others leave. dumbledore sits still, physically calm.
'is there anything you need to say dumbledore?' he watches as the old man slowly creeps from the chair, descending near him. he stands before sirius, his icy blue eyes hovering over his ragged form.
'the man you are sirius, i expect you'll go and try to track down harry?' he asks him, his voice low. 'i save you trouble, harry is within the safe realms of his aunt and uncle.'
'aunt and uncle?'
'lily's sister and husband.'
'WHAT!'
'calm down, he's safe. that's the only way to keep him safe. the blood connection between petunia and lily. petunia knows about this, always has known about this. she's promised to not hurt harry and keep him within safe and secure conditions until he turns into an adult.'
'i don't care dumbledore. i need to see harry potter. he's my godson, i am his legal guardian. not petunia, not her husband.'
'i know.' dumbledore's eyes twinkle for a few moments before he runs his bony hands through his long beard.
'you can join hogwarts as an assistant healer. with all the incidences you had with remus lupin, i'm sure you've got a trick or two up your sleeve.' sirius gulps.
'what?'
'you can see harry in 5 years when he joins hogwarts.'
'no. i need to see my godson now.'
'you will, when you get yourself together. take some time off for yourself sirius.'
'i don't care. i need to see him and check whether he's okay. i need to know. i don't trust petunia with how she treated lily. i need to make sure he's okay. the last time i trusted you albus, i was thrown into prison and my freedom was stolen away from me. not again will i let this happen. i'm leaving, albus.'
*-
he sits beside the coffee counter, shimmying through newspapers. ever since he'd been released, the press was after him. not wanting more attention than he'd already gotten, he decided he'd keep to the muggle world for the time being. that meant being closer to spotting harry and staying away from attention.
for the time he'd been in the wizarding world, within the creepy turns of diagon alley, hagrid had returned him his motorbike. he'd hugged the giant man, thanking him. within the span, he'd also found his mother had died a year back, leaving him to be the heir of the noble house of black. when he'd been left alone with the information of his death mother, he left a pang of joy in his heart, followed by guilt.
he loved his mother, but his mother never did. it wasn't his fault, but he couldn't help but love her. or perhaps it was pity he felt for her, for she had been through the same as him. but it was him who felt the need to break free from the abuse. he hated he had to make her feel like a failed mother. while he felt guilty for feeling joy for losing her, he certainly didn't miss her. no, he was the one who got away.
he crushes the butt of the smoked cigarette, ready to explore the city of london after years of being shrouded in darkness. the need to escape from the darkness still gathers him into a haze of melancholy. he wanted to feel the cold air ripping through his locks, nipping at his skin. he wanted to see the city lights pass by as he fulfilled the need of fresh air filling up his flesh. he may not have yet found a place to stay, but he didn't feel the need to be confined within four walls.
the bell chimes again. a thursday evening didn't see many customers, the cafe deprived of hustle, resulting in a quiet cafe. the bell caught his attention, so he turned his head, watching at the door. his heart skipped a few beats, as a familiar face walked into the cafe. it was his savior.
'a salted caramel latte and a butter cookie, please,' you said to the barista, passing down the bills to fulfil the payment. he walked up to you, his heart bleeding with gratitude.
'hi,' he said, catching your attention. you brushed strands of hair behind your ear, smiling at him.
'hi, mr. black.' he knitted his brows together.
'psst! don't call me that, call me sirius.' he bent down, leaning into your ear, 'i'm out of azkaban solely because of you.' you smiled at him picking up your latte and cookie that the barista slipped across the counter.
'trust me, mr. - sirius i stand for justice.' he crumpled his fingers together, putting his hand into his pockets.
'i agree with you. uhm... fancy a walk perhaps?' he asked. your eyes brandished slowly over his features, your mind seemingly reeling with questions.
'i never thought the sirius black would walk. didn't you drive a motorbike?' he grinned, his eyes lighting up. this was the first time he'd felt the joy after so many years- he allowed himself to relish it, because there was no darkness to shroud his joy into melancholy.
'i do drive one. how did you know?' pushing open the door of the cafe, you walked into the fresh night air, as he followed you. taking a sip of your latte you replied vaguely,
'that, sirius is for me to know, and you to guess.' he grinned, seemingly enjoying your teasing behavior.
'so, you don't fancy a walk,' he stated, putting his hands into his pockets. your eyes raked over him, taking in his starkly contrasting appearance from the day you'd last seen him. within the glow of the streetlight, his high cheek bones and razor sharp jaw underneath porcelain skin rubbed with a soft stubble reflected upon his features. he was wearing a black t-shirt paired with beige slacks. he had cleaned up well within the few days. the air had already been of great favor to him.
'don't you have anyone waiting for you, sirius?' his gray eyes stared into yours before he whispered a quiet no.
'are you sure sirius? or are you too eager within your emotions of gratitude?'
'i hate how you can read through me so easily, sweetheart. but you're partly incorrect, i actually have been sitting alone here, shimmying over the things i've missed.' he moved closer to you.
'i don't think you should spent time alone, sirius. you need other people's company. human's are driven by the presence of other humans, you should be reminded of your roots, of your presence of mind. you'll go insane if you sit alone, secluded.'
'and here you are declining me a walk with you. you're human aren't you? we can interact. either ways, i've asked remus to meet me tomorrow. he says yes.' you laughed, the sound echoing amongst the cars and motorbikes which honked along the streets of london.
'so, what do you say?'
'i'm sure i could also do with a little bit of company,' you replied. your voice was low and soft, like a cool breeze amongst the salty waves of the sea. he smiled at you, wrinkles of a chronicle scarring beside his eyes. he moved closer, standing by you.
'so where shall we go?'
'where ever the city takes us.'
the city reeked of driving him crazy. till it was one hell of a drug, so he could use it up.

reblogs and comments are very much appreciated!
Tumblr media
You’ve known Sunoo since forever. From the moment you took your first baby step to the moment you got absolutely hammered by another girl in your grade, Sunoo had been right by your side, from kindergarten all the way to primary school.
It was weird not to see your brooding self beside the beaming boy, seeing as you guys never separated from each other for even a second. It made your parents think the both of you had separation anxiety, always throwing tantrums whenever the other wasn’t around.
But that was only until primary school.
By the time secondary school rolled around, you naturally started to drift apart. Being in the year above him, he stuck to his own group of friends, while you had yours. You had easily accepted the course that your relationship with Sunoo was headed off to, wanting to fit in with the rest of your ‘ew juniors’-minded clique so badly, because who hung out with juniors anyways?
It didn’t help that, not soon after, your father was stationed to a different department of the company on the other side of the world. You felt sad leaving everything you knew behind, all the familiar places, but you were also 13 and ready to be anywhere but the place you had been confined to. It felt exhilarating to finally leave everything behind — not that you had much to begin with. It’s always been just your mother, your father, and you.
Sunoo was out of the conversation by the time you turned 16. He became just someone you’d remember in passing; your parents bringing him up every now and then, but you never dwelled on the thought of him for too long.
By the time you were 19, you could barely remember what he even looked like, given that you'd only seen up until his pre-puberty phase: toothy grins, chubby cheeks, and all.
So imagine your shock when a taller, more mature shell of a man presents himself in front of you, claiming to be the Kim Sunoo you’ve already forgotten all about.
“Don’t you remember me? I’m Kim Sunoo!”
You met him by complete chance.
The last time you heard of Sunoo was when your mom broke the news on a random Sunday night that the Kim family would be permanently moving to Japan, and that was three years ago.
“Cmon, I’ve known you for, like, 13 years.” He clicks his tongue.
“Yeah, I guessed. I’m just shocked to see you here.”
“What? Is seeing a young man shopping for groceries so hard to believe?” He jokes, taking a pack of ramen noodles from the shelf and placing it carefully into his cart.
“It’s not that.” You chuckle. “I thought you moved to Japan?”
“Well, I can’t really be leeching off my parents forever.”
He’s got more wit to him than you remember.
“Right,” You quickly reply, unconsciously walking the rest of the noodles and pasta aisle at the same pace that he is.
“Wow, even after all these years, you’re still the same old Y/n I used to know.” He smiles at you, the apples of his cheeks tinting a light pink under the blindingly white LED lights overhead. It suddenly brought you back to times of playing together in the playground after school, the summer rays rendering the both of you sweaty messes while your mothers talked about adult gossip somewhere in the distance. The simpler times, when fitting into social circles barely even mattered yet.
“Am I supposed to be offended?” As you arrive closer to the snack aisle, you start to grab at items not scribbled on your sad excuse of a grocery list. You should really stop doing that; you mentally chide yourself.
“Maybe. Depends on how you take it.” He shrugs. “Doritos?” You shake your head.
Silence starts to permeate the air between the both of you, save for some random Nirvana tune playing faintly in the background. It wasn’t awkward per se, but it wasn’t entirely comfortable either; rather, it sat right in the middle.
You’ve known Sunoo for 13 whole years of your younger adolescent days, but right now, it feels like you’ve just met him for the first time. Technically you are, after a few years that is, but maybe it was just you and your ineptitude for social interactions. Chae was right, you really should socialize with people more.
A beat or two passes by, “Are you free tomorrow by any chance?” Sunoo turns to you, bright eyes boring into yours.
“Why?”
“I just moved here like a week ago, and I have absolutely no friends.” He pouts, “Mind giving an old friend company on his own birthday?”
“It’s your birthday?” You stop in your tracks.
“Tomorrow, yeah.”
“Okay. Just send me the address.” You take out your phone to hand him, “You’re not just about to lure and kill me right?”
“Now why would I do that?” He lifts his eyebrows at you as he keys in his phone number, naming himself ‘no.1 childhood best friend’ in the process.
“You can never be too sure nowadays.”
“Yeah, as if I would kill my only friend in this entire city.” He retorts, fingers brushing yours ever-so-slightly as he hands you back your phone.
Seeing the bare-bones state that Sunoo’s box apartment was in made you feel for him. You’d already spent your early teens adjusting to the chaos that New York was, and you’ve acclimated to it by now, with the help of your parents, of course, but Sunoo, on the other hand? He came completely alone, with a singular suitcase in tow. It ignited a sense of protectiveness towards him. The same way it was when you were younger.
Sunoo was always one of the more smaller and younger children in the kindergarten, but that only made him more loved by the teachers and other caretakers. Memories resurfaced of how everyone would coo whenever Sunoo showed his signature smile, silently wishing they had a kid as endearing as Sunoo. They’d bring extra just for him, and Sunoo, being the sweet kid he was, basked in all of it blissfully.
The rest of the older kids didn’t like how Sunoo hogged all the adult’s attention, so they would constantly pick at him during play time, behind the knowledge of the teachers. Since you were a year older and much taller than Sunoo then, you always felt the instinctive need to step in and protect him from all of it, even getting sucker punched in the face for him one time. You chuckle at the distinct memory of Sunoo crying in the sidelines whilst you laid on the mat, a comically large bandage plastered on your cheek.
“What’s so funny?” Sunoo sticks his head out from the cupboard, eyeing your figure on the couch.
“I’m laughing at the fact that you at least have a couch.” You pat the space next to you.
“Hey, you can’t judge. I just moved here, and I don’t know where anything is anymore.” He says this as he pours room-temperature orange juice into plastic cups. “Happy birthday to me.” He sighs, handing you one.
“This is actually really sad.” You take a single sip out of the clear cup before setting it down on the arm of Sunoo’s sofa that was more like a loveseat if anything. “And I’m not just talking about the orange juice.”
“At least I’m not alone!”
“Why’d you move here anyway? I’m sure there’s better places than big ole overpriced New York.” You bring up a leg to get comfortable, and Sunoo does the same, his knee lightly grazing yours in the process.
“You wouldn’t wanna hear it.” He sighs.
“No, tell me!”
“It’s stupid.”
“I won’t judge. Pinky promise.” You bring your pinky rings towards his, locking them.
“I actually moved here for you.” He says it so softly that you thought you had misheard.
“Sorry, I think I misheard.”
“Nah, I think you heard correctly.” He bends down to grab a forkful of noodles, the one he bought yesterday, and moans gleefully at the bundles of flavour exploding in his mouth, “Woah. I think this might be my new favourite ramen.”
“Wait, you’re not being serious, are you?” Sunoo shakes his head at you, his cheeks blowing up as noodles enter his mouth, strand by strand. “Are you stupid?” You completely drop the smile you had been sporting just a minute ago, beyond baffled by Sunoo’s lack of critical thinking.
“Gosh, Sunoo! What would you have done if I hadn’t run into you last night? What if I already moved to a different state? A different country even?!”
“My mom is still in contact with yours, so I’m pretty sure I would’ve ended up at your front door anyway." He nonchalantly answers, shrugging his shoulders the way he always does.
You’ve completely forgotten how Sunoo was always the free spirit in your dynamic, doing anything and everything he wanted without ever thinking about the after. He always downplayed the severity of the consequences, only thinking about the moment and living in it blissfully.
Just a few days prior to your drift apart, Sunoo had dragged you out of your 6th grade classroom just before recess ended and towards the outdoor basketball court. A little mat had been planted on the grass, with what you could recognise as Sunoo’s lunch box set neatly on top.
He had asked you to skip class with him, a kind of celebration on the last day of school. Thanks to him, you were absolutely horrified to come home that day, while him, on the other hand, was not the slightest bit concerned.
“Why? Just why? We haven’t talked for, what, 6 years? And suddenly you move 13 hours away from home to be in the same city that I am?” You were fuming, and for a reason you weren’t too sure about yourself.
Maybe it was the knowledge that he had been thinking about you even after your drift apart, while you were not. Maybe it was the guilt of being the one to instigate the drift in the first place, but he still made his way towards you.
“I’m not too sure either.” He places the chopsticks on the makeshift coffee table. “But at least you’re here, and I’m not alone on my birthday.” He offers you a cheeky grin, one that reaches his eyes, and it almost instantly gives you whiplash.
“You’re driving me crazy here, Sunoo.”
“You said you wouldn’t judge and… it’s still my birthday, ya’know.” He pouts, cocking his head to the side in an attempt to soothe your bubbling anger with his biggest weapon — his face. “Can you stop being your practical self for just a second?” His tone was light, and his eyes were pleading.
He probably still remembered your weakness for pretty faces, and was taking advantage of that at the most convenient of times.
Damn Sunoo and damn pretty privilege.
After Sunoo’s semi-successful birthday party—his words, not yours—he’s been sticking to you like glue. He practically lives in your apartment with how much time he spends there. Even when you’re out for classes or errands, he'll take it upon himself to make himself feel at home. You practically spent every second of every day with him, just like it used to be when you were younger.
Your mother was overly ecstatic to find out that you had rekindled your friendship with Sunoo — almost so ecstatic in fact that it alarmed you just a tad bit, scared that she might try to set you up with her best friend’s only son.
She had even suggested that the both of you live together to save costs, she says. You weren’t entirely sold on that fact, seeing as you still wanted your semblance of privacy and freedom in your own home, but with the rising rent prices these days, it wasn’t really a choice now, was it?
“My mother says we should move in together.” You say this over a plate of scrambled eggs, one that Sunoo had so graciously offered to cook.
“I’m sorry?” Sunoo chokes on his cup of black tea.
“I mean, our dynamic is pretty good. You finish things that I don’t. I say it’s a pretty good match.”
Over the course of the last few months that you’ve been on-off living with Sunoo, you learned that he has a habit of picking up things that you’ve left aside to be forgotten. One instance of this was when you found your incomplete knitting project in Sunoo’s more nimble hands, working away while on his spot on your couch.
He explained that seeing things unfinished was a big pet peeve of his, and it usually works in your favour anyway.
“Yeah, but what about my apartment?”
“You say that as if you don’t basically already live here.” You pick up a piece of egg with your fork to bring it to your mouth.
“I guess, yeah, but..." His words trail off. “Never mind.”
“But what, Sun?”
“Nothing.” He shakes his head, taking a big gulp of his tea before setting the cup back down onto your wooden table, the one Sunoo had picked alongside some other furniture pieces that now scattered your flat.
“You better give up that act now because you know how stubborn I can get.” You peg the fork at him in a faux effort to assert intimidation. Not that you could be any more intimidating with your furrowed eyebrows and grim expression.
“It’s just...”
“Just?”
Sunoo ultimately sighs, picking up his plate to bring to the sink and turning his back towards you. “I would love to live together, really." He starts off. “But what if you bring other guys over? I don’t think I could handle that.”
“That’s it? You’re flattering me by even thinking I can pull guys.” You laugh as you make your way towards Sunoo with an empty plate in your hands. “Sun, there’s nothing to worry about, but I’ll make sure to let you know beforehand if I ever do.”
“That’s not what I was implying.” Sunoo keeps his voice low and whisper-like, almost like he doesn’t want you to hear, but you do anyway.
“Okay, then what do you mean?”
“I’m saying that I think I like you.” He takes a deep breath, finding it hard to formulate words from his thoughts. “I... I just... When we were 13, when we started drifting apart, I felt so lost and confused. I didn’t want to be like those movie cliches, losing my best friend because of high school or whatever.” He doesn’t look up from the dishes in front of him; instead, he focuses on mindlessly scrubbing the mug.
“I followed you here because, even after six long years, you were still my number one. I missed your presence. I always wondered when you would contact me again, but that never happened. I guess I was also too scared to talk to you first, so that’s that.” He continues. “I don’t want to burden you with my feelings any more than they already are, and if we officially, actually lived together, I don’t think my heart could handle all that.”
To say you were speechless was an understatement. You stared at him long enough to see dots, and yet you couldn’t think of anything to say.
Sunoo liked you. The little boy from kindergarten that you promised to protect liked you. Your best friend up until you were 13 liked you?
“Sun...” You start off but can never seem to find a proper end to your sentence.
“You don’t have to answer me right now. Or, as a matter of fact, you don’t even have to accept it. I just thought you should know since you proposed we live together.” He washes the foam away, setting the clean dishes on the drying rack. “I’ll take my leave now.” He smiles at you, and by the time the door closes behind him, you’re still standing frozen.
You don’t know what to do with this information. Yeah, Sunoo was cute, and you had a soft spot for him, but that doesn’t mean you like him. He grew up well, but that doesn’t mean you no longer saw him as the boy you needed to protect from the world. It was all a clash of thoughts, really.
A week had gone by since you texted Sunoo back, saying that you needed space to think. But you weren’t really using the time to think at all; you were actually doing quite well at doing the exact opposite.
“Chae, come on! That’s cheating!” You yell, aggressively pressing away at the console for your Omni-Man to dodge Kung Lao’s wrath.
“No, you just suck.” Chae sticks her tongue out at you. And after a few moments of tense silence, “Aaaand, K.O!” She cheers in your face while you pan at the bold K.O. letterings on the screen in admission of defeat.
“I’ll beat you next time.”
“Oh baby, there won’t be a next time until you sort out whatever it is you’re worrying about first.” She takes the console from your hands and sets it back in its original place under the divider of her TV set. “Now, talk to me.” She says this as she takes a seat beside you.
“There’s nothing to talk about.”
“Yeah, sure, as if you're coming here at 1 a.m. on a Wednesday night, even when you have classes tomorrow, is because of nothing.”
“I just couldn’t sleep. That’s all.”
“I’m going to go bald from all the stress you’re giving me.” She tugs harshly at her shoulder-length hair. “See this?!”
Your laugh echoes in Chaewon’s humble apartment, which overlooks the entirety of New York with the perfect view — one that her life as a social media influencer is able to afford. At times like these, you felt like you were her sugar baby, leeching off her big-time success like the broke college student you are.
“You’re being overly dramatic.”
"Yeah, and sometimes I wish you were more like me. Give me the damn drama!” She drapes herself all over you, head resting on your bare legs.
“Okay, fine!”
“Good.” She finally grins, taking a bag of popcorn from the table and tossing it into her mouth one by one, occasionally offering one to you.
“You remember Sunoo?”
“The one you cried about when you first met me?”
“I wasn’t crying!”
“Yeah, sure you weren’t.” She grimaces at you.
“Okay, but that was when I was 14, so it doesn’t count.”
“Whatever, whatever. Just continue!” Chaewon switches her position to comfortably sit face-to-face with you, her eyes wide and full of anticipation.
“A few months ago, I met him at the supermarket, the one you tell me to never go to.”
“What?! And you’re only telling me this now?!” Her voice was piercing, and it made your ears almost bleed onto her velvet-carpeted floor. Judging from her reaction, she was probably more concerned about the fact that you went to the only supermarket in the city she told you not to ever step foot into, rather than not having told her about your meeting with Sunoo there.
“Just let me finish, yeah?” Chaewon quips out a small apology before you continue, “And after that, we started hanging out here and there, ya'know, the whole old childhood friends shebang. It was great, honestly. He’s great company, and as you said, I was socialising with other people!”
“But?”
“How’d you know there’s a ‘but’?”
“There is always a ‘but’, my dear Y/n.”
You clear your throat. “He confessed to me just a week ago, after I had proposed to live together, ya'know, to save on costs.”
“You, what now?”
“Not everyone is as rich as you are, Chae; we grass-rooted people need to save money somehow.”
“You know that’s not what I meant!”
“Ugh, it’s stupid, I know! But my mother suggested it, and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s a good idea!’” At this point, the bag of popcorn lays haphazardly on the floor, forgotten as you contemplate all your decisions with Chaewon clinging onto your side, koala style.
“Do you like him back?”
“I haven’t really thought about it before then.” You honestly say, “He has always just been ‘the younger boy who needs protecting’ to me.”
“He’s his own grown person now, Y/n.” She reminds you.
“I know. I just think he’s cute, is all.”
“How about this? You give him a chance to try and swoon you over; if it doesn’t work out, then you guys can pretend as if nothing ever happened!” She claps her hands together, as if she had just won a Nobel Prize for solving global warming. “You’re killing two birds with one stone!”
“I don’t think that’s how the saying is supposed to work.”
"Oh, who gives a fuck? YOLO.”
Chaewon’s advice to just yolo the fuck out of everything sticks to you more than you’d like to admit. It echoes in your mind when you’re taking the subway all the way to Sunoo’s apartment, echoes even louder as you stand in front of his door, and echoes almost deafeningly as you knock twice on it.
In about half a heartbeat, Sunoo opens his door with an urgency you could barely register in your haze of emotions. You felt bad after having practically ghosted him for a week straight after his confession, and even worse now that you could tell he was losing sleep over it. His hair was tousled into a mess that made it seem as if he had just gotten out of bed, even if it was already 3 p.m.
“Hey.” You greet, your lips pursed into a tight smile.
“Hey.” He greets her back.
“Can I come in? Or, is it a bad time? I’m not really too sure why I came in the first place.”
“Yeah, yeah. Come in.” He steps aside to make space for you to enter his home.
The last time you’ve been here was the night after you first met him — the day of his birthday. It’s less barren than you remembered, with pops of colour in random corners that somehow represented his sporadic personality perfectly.
“I see you finally did some decorating.”
“I mean, it’s already been more than a few months since I’ve moved here; it’d be weird if I didn’t.” His voice is groggy and still laced with sleep, but you don’t comment on it, instead sucking in a deep breath.
“I wanted to, um, get back to you.” You play with your fingers, picking at the skin. “And, uh, give you an answer. Well, it’s not really an answer, but you get what I mean.”
“Yeah.”
The both of you still stood just beyond his doorway; the faint playing of the TV in the background didn’t help to ease your racing heart. In your two years of being a young adult, you hadn’t found the opportunity to really sit down and find love, given that school had always been your top priority. So when you find yourself in such situations—not that you ever do—you're rendered a blubbering mess.
You’ve practiced this many times before with Chaewon, but it feels even more nerve-wracking now that the man in all his drowsy glory is standing right in front of you.
“We can try.” You start off. “I mean it as in, you can try courting me or whatever, and if it doesn’t work out, we can pretend as if nothing ever happened.” His lack of reply gives you time to really take a good look at Sunoo, now that the weight has been lifted off your shoulders. You’ve said what you wanted to say.
At an arm's-length distance, Sunoo is the textbook definition of attractive. He’s a head taller than you, has broad shoulders, and has a pretty face. His lips were full, his nose was tall, and his eyes were a golden brown colour. What was not to like about him? You just had to accept that he was no longer the Kim Sunoo from kindergarten. He was no longer the same young Sunoo who constantly needed your help.
“Really? You’d let me court you?” His face is bright with hope, and you nod to it wordlessly. “As in, you’d let me take you out on dates and stuff?”
You can’t help the chuckle that lets out, especially endeared by his enthusiasm. “Yes, Sun.”
BONUS!
It has been exactly a year since Sunoo had courted and officially asked you out. It wasn’t hard to fall for him because you already had an inkling that you had unresolved feelings for him anyway. The moving in part went as smoothly as it could, save for the slight mishap with Sunoo’s landlord, but with the help of your mother, everything was resolved soon after.
Sunoo lays peacefully on the sofa, soaking in the sunshine that filters through the blinds. He was practically in heaven right now.
“Kim Sunoo!” Your voice reverberates throughout the entirety of your shared apartment.
“Uh-oh, not the government name.” Sunoo looks up from his phone to see you standing in the hallway, hand tucked under your arms, with an expression that reminded him slightly of the French bulldog he’d seen on his morning walk. “Yes, baby?”
“Don’t ‘baby’ me! You let Luna sleep on the bed after she had her walk?!”
“Oh.”
“Oh!” You mimic him.
“I’m sorry, baby. She looked so sad sleeping on the floor by herself, so I just invited her to the bed.”
“Yeah, now her paw prints are all over the white sheets! Couldn’t you have at least cleaned her before you decided to do that?” As if Luna had heard her parents arguing from inside the room, she waddles out, footsteps padding down on the wooden floor, making it her mission to soothe her parents with just her existence alone.
Luna barks, grabbing both of your attention. You immediately lean down to pick Luna up, cooing at her before glaring at Sunoo, “You better wash the sheets.”
Sunoo stares at the both of you, dumbfounded. He thought he saw Luna smirking at him, so he blinked once and then twice, only for you and your baby to disappear as you walked towards the bathroom, your voice echoing as you continued to baby-talk to Luna.
Even with your overbearing practicality and new spoiled baby to take care of, he’d never regret asking his mom about you that one fateful night.

I may know someone - Platonic!Alastor & tech demon!reader + Vox x tech demon!reader
Summary: Alastor decides that the best way to get you acquainted to being an overlord is for you to meet some. Safe to say it doesn't go over to smoothly. Especially since it's a meeting after all...
You've been waiting at the hotel practically all day for Alastor to drag his ass down and greet you with a eerily too wide of a grin on his face. The way it stretched made you shudder. You smiled back at him though and titled you head letting a small laugh lift through your lips.
"You've had company I'm guessing?" Alastor hums and looks at you and they way your shirt is wrinkled and the way your smile falls upon you.
"You have no idea," You muttered back over and he led you over to a few chairs on an empty bar. The cat wasn't here today you guessed blandly before looking over to Alastor.
"I'm sure I have one," Alastor hummed and leaned on his head looking over to you. "But please tell me, I would love to hear the details," He tapped his foot in excitement watching your eyes trace over him.
"Your ex came back," You said blatantly and watched the way his face wrinkled, you loved messing with him.
"My... ex?"
"Vox, ex-business partner," You explained. Alastors face unwrinkled and he tilted his head up and nodded. "He was pissed at me..." You looked at the table flicking some last bits of food that still lingered on the table.
Alastor paused for a moment before tilting his head, almost like a cat you note as he smiles at you. "Really? And why is that?"
You shrugged and leaned back in your chair ever so slightly, careful not to fall off. "Simple, he figured out who the hell was insane enough to fuck with his shit," you said and looked at him waiting for a response.
"Ah yes, I assumed that this would happen. So then my dear. Why are you here?"
He knows, he already knows, he just wants you to say it. You can't help but laugh a bit inside you know Alastor, you know how enlightened he's gonna be with himself once you tell him that you agree with his idea. that he was right. The words feel stuck in your throat being slowly inching out.
"You mentioned something about me... and the overlords," You say with a smile on your face. You don't want this. Really, but hell you need to stay safe if anything.
Alastor stands up rather suddenly and taps his cane on the ground with delight sticking out his hand for you to shake. Without hesitation you take it and smile back at him. "Well then my dear, dear y/n why didn't you say something earlier? Why I can get you started right now!" With a flick of his wrist you saw the reality around you morph with souls sprouting up from the ground surrounding you.
You laugh nervously and back up shaking your head. "I'm good maybe something more uh... subtle," You say watching as the owned souls surrounded you waiting for you to order them around and to tend to you.
"Why of course!" He flicks his wrist and the disappear your reality turning somewhat normal and then fully after a few hard blinks. "Well I'm sure the first thing that we would need to do is get you acquainted with them!" He clapped his hands and slung his hand around your shoulder walking you out of the hotel.
"Why I'm sure that Carmilla will be delighted to hear that we have a new overlord! After all that's more power to the masses," He laughed. You both stopped at what you assumed to be Carmilla's place. It seemed like an armory and the moment you got inside it looked like a ballet area. The high arches and the way the purple light bounced off the glass and onto your skin made you shudder ever so slightly.
"Carmilla! My old pal," Alastor laughed once you were both let into the building. You wanted to get out. You felt your skin crawl, you didn't belong in this fucking place. You needed out. Not that Alastor seemed to care for your anxiety though.
"Alastor," You heard the voice from above you and you stepped back turning around to look up at her. Her hair tied up and her clothes draped along her skin elegantly. You couldn't help but get the feeling that you were looking at a goddess after all this place sure fit those vibes.
"To what do I owe the pleasure of this meeting?" She asked jumping down, practically right in front of your face too. You stumbled back and Alastor placed his hand on your shoulder. You felt it tighten, maybe you shouldn't act so scared.
"Well Carmilla this is y/n I'm not sure that you've heard of them but-"
"I have," Her voice cuts him off from his rambling. Alastor may have charm but she has control. She has much more grace than anyone in this fucking room... was it too late to turn back?
Alastor pauses for a moment something so subtle you're surprised that you even noticed. "Well of course you have! They're quite the figure after all!" He leaned on you and you almost shrink under the weight.
It doesn't help that Carmilla seems like she's staring through to your soul. Trying to figure out who and what you are exactly.
"Vox was complaining about them," She says. "Says that you're annoying among some other things,"
"Why yes you know how he gets," Alastor interrupts before you can even get something as small as a squeak out of your mouth. You can't help but wonder if Carmilla hates you already with the way she talks about you.
"So y/n here is a new and up and coming overlord! So I was wondering if you would like to invite them to the next meeting of yours if possible?" He asked with a small tilt of his head he voice sounding like honey with the filter. You forget how charming he could be at times. He places a finger on his cheek as if he was truly wondering and not subtly demanding that you be invited to the next meeting.
Carmilla takes another look at you her eyes go from your feet all the way to your eyes to which you look at each other for a few seconds which feel like painful minutes. Her eyes are sharp and they stab into your own.
"Do you feel as if you belong among us?" She asked without hesitation. Her voice made you shudder.
You paused for a second and before you could open your mouth she answered for you. "Why do you hesitate? Surely Alastor would not be so weak as to demand someone who hesitates," she says looking down at you. God was she tall-
"Of course not ma'am," you mouth moved on its own as you slowly reminded yourself that even though she was an overlord, she was a sinner. Someone down here because of their own pleasures instead of others, someone like you.
"I was just thinking how to respond," you said quickly. "You see ,I own a section of hell that it similar to that of an overlords and my presence also affects said place. I'd say its rather similar in some regards. Besides a spot at the table is about controlling most of hell correct?"
You remember dealing with people like her when you first arrived in hell. It was horrible, your tongue moved faster than you could think. You were glad for it.
"And I only know Alastor here because of that fact," you said. You pause for a moment before bowing your head slightly in a small apology. "Sorry if I come off rude, I just don't want you to think so little of my friend here," you say and gesture of to Alastor.
Carmilla takes another glance at you and smiles. "Alright then, they have potential. You can claim a spot at our table if you wish as a sort of... test run if you will," she said. Her smile sent chills through your spin.
"Thank you,"
˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙
You tap your hand on the side of your leg. All of the sudden you didn't know what you were doing here anymore. In this tall elevator with Rosie and Alastor by your side you suddenly felt smaller than usual. God was it horrible. There was this burning sensation in your throat that threatened to spill if you breathed in too deep.
"Oh don't be nervous sweetheart," Rosie smiled and placed her hand on your shoulder. Right. Don't be nervous.
You took in a deep breath despite your lungs screaming and put on a smile. This was gonna be fun for Alastor.
You were one of the first people there sitting right in between Alastor and Rosie. There was a new seat for you so there shouldn't be any trouble. You watched as a few more people came in. People who you only saw on the news. God this felt like a dream. You watched as everyone was here, except three people.
"Do you really think all of the V's are coming to this meeting Carmilla? We'd be lucky to just have one," Alastor commented and Carmilla glared back at him.
"They will come, I warned them, and I know that Vox knows better than to challenge me,"
Great. You're gonna have a great time.
They came in through the door an instantly you felt Vox's eyes drag to you. A million curses flew straight into your head at once. God were screwed to say the least and Alastor's smile grew wider. It seemed that Rosie didn't realize her friend's intentions or was too bust to even care as she smiled at Vox.
"Well ain't it lovely to see you three," she said with a smile spread across her lips. She tried to be friendly to everyone. You knew that much.
You heard Velvette groan and fling some insult at Alastor before sitting down in a chair. They were sat right across from you. Vox was sat right cross from you. You felt your heart beat faster with each passing second.
The only thing going through your mind was how fucked you would be after this meeting. Yet you managed to keep your calm appearance by not looking at him. It was quite the clever plan if anyone asked.
"Well then, lets get this meeting started-"
"You actually let them join?!" Vox shouted. You heard his voice shift for a brief moment, kinda like Alastor's.
You sighed, you'd have to look at him. You turned your gaze over to him with a blank expression on your face. "Do you have a problem with dear y/n?" Alastor began for you. Of course he would be the one to start shit.
"Uh, yeah! They fucked up my entire system," Vox stammered making an outward expression towards you. You watched the wires in the building as the energy flowed through them. This was either gonna be the longest meeting ever, or the shortest. Either way, it was gonna suck.
"I wouldn't have had to if you had just aired the commercial," You explained. "It was nothing personal really," you smiled at him innocently. You were hoping he'd drop it.
"What I chose to air is my own business so keep out of it-"
"Vox," Carmilla started looking at him. "If you cannot handle this then I'd suggest that you'd get a move on although this is an important meeting,"
"Yeah no shit! Y/n's here! Our new overlord is Alastor's new pal! That seems like a pretty big deal to me,"
Vox seemed like he was gonna say more but stopped. Carmilla's glance threw him off. You watched at Velvette snickered slightly at her co-workers antics. You couldn't help but at least smile wider than before. He looked as if he wanted to kill you. God was it amusing.
Valentino looked over to you with a death glare. "You know you've done something right if you get that one mad," Rosie whispered softly into your ear and you couldn't help but give her a small chuckle.
"Not a fan huh?" You asked softly. She shook her head.
"He's much too vulgar,"
˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚*˚*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙
Alastor and Rosie didn't bother walking you back to your place to say the least. It was too far and they didn't wanna hang around before it was too dark out. Alastor had a whole hotel to deal with and Rosie had her shops to stock.
You didn't mind it at first though. That was until you heard the shuffling of a second pair of feet behind you.
You paused for a moment looking at the camera on the edge of the building quickly taking the electricity from it ready to use it as a weapon and snapping around. Within seconds you were slammed against the wall though by Vox. For someone with quite a small frame, you must admit that he's stronger than he looks.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" there was no hiding the change in his voice now. It sounded like something out of an old tv.
"Walking," you replied with a sick grin across your face. there was no way in hell you were letting that grin down.
"Fucking stop it already," he shouted and slammed you into the wall. "Do you think this is fucking funny?!"
You gave him a dead look letting your smile drop for a second. For a second he looked shocked. "Maybe," you grinned once more laughing a bit this time letting your hand touch his arm giving him one hell of a shock.
"Anyways, I do need to get back it's getting dark. I'd prefer if you'd leave me alone," you snapped at him. You hated using the power you got when you arrived. It took energy from other places making it your own, and god was it draining.
He glared at you. "Lemme get this clear because I don't think I did before... I don't like you y/n. I don't like you at all,"

Poor Lad (Rugan)
Just a quick (apparently fever dream idea I had at some point that I'm writing up. Hopefully will appease the Zhentarim inside me.)
***
It’s a warm day in Baldur’s Gate as Rugan stands in the small cemetery. The sounds of the circus nearby can be heard, the laughter of children, the cacophony of various instruments being played. He’s stood there for some time looking at the relatively new tombstone that juts out of the freshly dug earth. His leather armour has been replaced with a black cotton shirt and his once cleanly shaven face now sports the start of an emerging beard, a failing attempt at a disguise as he wanders the streets of the city.
“Gods, I’ve been standing here ages trying to come up with the words. Ain’t I meant to have some big farewell lined up? You know, flowers or something? I’ll have a pint for you later if anything. Hopefully, that’ll do.” His words are casual, not the type for baring feelings or dragging out long goodbyes.
“Roah’s leading the guild now. Yeah, you remember that big hero that got us out of that cave? Turns out they weren’t all glowing halos and bullshit like we thought they were, ended up taking down Nine-Fingers and stuck her in charge. Bit of a surprise if you ask me, you know after they showed up and took care of Zarys and… well, you know what happened.” He looks away catching the glimpse of a small bird that flutters nearby. “I offered to meet up with them if they ever got to the city but I've not seen head nor hide of them since we got here. They’re probably off saving the world or something. A real shame as they owe us half the profit from selling that chest we had, though I’m not so sure it’s worth the gold now.” He swallows hard, trying to bury the guilt. Yeah, that pint’ll do nicely, maybe a bottle of whiskey to chase it down too…
He passes a quick gaze back over the stone, knowing the words he should be saying, the ones he’s been trying to avoid for too long. “You know Olly, I was a right prick that day. Should’ve just done the job, got in got out like always, kept my head down. But mate, it gets exhausting following the rules all the time. I wanted an out, a bit of peace, maybe a nice bird to rock home to. Instead, I fucked it up and got you killed.”
He kicks a stone up with his boot, watching as it bounces along the grass past the grave. “You were an alright lad, proper head on your shoulders, could’ve gone far with the right person behind you. Shame you didn’t have that though.” He takes one last look at the stone, staring at the dates and doing a quick calculation of the age stated. “Fuck," he sighs. "I’m sorry, alright. I should’ve done better by you.”
He rolls his neck, loosening up the tension that’s set in before relaxing his shoulders and turning away. “I’ll see you at the tavern later, mate. Have a good one.”

Pinball Wizard
Tumblr media
Summary: Soft lil one shot of you and your boyfriend Angus playing pinball
AN: Fluffy fluff and chill stuff sorry I'm all over the place, but life sometimes be life-ing for the good and the bad. I had someone over and left tumblr open and when I tell you I've never lunged across the room faster to shut a screen....
You stood over a pinball machine, brow furrowed in frustration as the ball once again slid right through the middle of the two paddles. You swore under your breath and hit glass, losing another dollar to the machine. You were waiting for your boyfriend Angus to meet you here after his exam, trying to take his mind off however he scored. Unfortunately you had not planned for him to take so long- or for you to lose so many quarters in the process. You sipped on your bottle of Coke as you leered at the machine, as if it would do anything. Angus was the one who was good at these sorts of things, and you swore he was somehow rigging it everytime. You’d be lying if you said you weren’t sort of into it though watching how serious he got when he leaned over the machine, usually crossing one leg behind the other to get optimal positioning. Ever since you convinced him to start wearing accessories like your rings and necklaces sometimes he’d become a lot more confident in his looks. He always was adjusting his coat sleeves or collar just so people noticed. You’d heard about his time before college and knew he had always been stuck around pretty pretentious people- going to one of those schools where he needed to wear the same uniform as everyone and go to mass everyday twice a day. Personally you would’ve set the place on fire, but he always lied and said he was an angel of a student, to which you would always punch his arm at. College was different, college was better. You were studying chemistry and working a few lab jobs around campus, mostly cleaning beakers and pipetting for hours on end, and he was studying history, working to become a professor eventually. He always said he wanted to teach at Yale or some other Ivy League, but you could see him being a good high school teacher. You’d broached the idea to him once when you were both high and talking about the future, but he got quiet and ended it by saying he’d never be as good as his history teacher.
Some kid next to you shrieked, snapping you out of your thoughts.
“Hey hon,” Angus said, appearing next to you, plucking your bottle out of your hand and taking a sip. The circles under his eyes were darker and his voice was tired.
“Exam went that good huh?” you asked as you watched him finish the bottle of soda. He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand and sighed as he wrapped his arms around you and pulled you close, setting his head on top of ours.
“What gave it away?” he gently laughed, feeling his chest rumble under your cheek as you squeezed him back. He smelled like old weathered books and cigarette smoke. He pressed his lips to your forehead before breaking away and running a hand through his mess of curly hair. “Alright give me some quarters I need to forget that essay,” he said with a small smirk as he tried to reach into your jean jacket pocket for quarters. He grabbed a handful of coins from your pocket and spun to the pinball machine you’d been opposing for the last few rounds.
“Good luck with that one babe,” you grumbled as you moved to the right side of the machine, leaning against the wall with your hands tucked behind the small of your back. Angus laughed looking down at the lit up board.
“We’ll see about that,” he quipped, the blinking lights of the game lighting up the features of his face. You can only watch in silence as he somehow expertly flicks the bumpers racking up 100’s, 1,000’s, eventually 1,000,000’s of points.
“How are you so good at this?” you asked from the sidelines, shaking your head.
“I’m good with my fingers?” he answered without missing a beat or looking away from the game, to which you responded with a gentle smack to the back of his head. He only smirked. “Hey you would know right?” he added, finally drawing his eyes to meet yours.
“Oh shut it Tully,” you sneered as you pushed yourself off the wall to go get another Coke. Before you could get far you felt his hand wrap around your waist and pull you back. He nestled you right between himself and the machine, holding his hands over yours on the sides, resting his chin on your shoulder.
“You’re going to make me lose the game Y/N,” he mumbled into your ear, still laser focused on the game, pressing your fingers in to hit the bumpers for him.
“What if I throw the game for you?” you threatened, hitting the bumpers with your own volition a few times before the ball reached the bottom again. Angus took the second to pinch your hip which caused you to yelp.
“I suggest you don’t try it,”. You smiled to yourself as you settled back, leaning back into his chest as you felt his arms reach out over your own to continue playing, “good girl,” he murmured into your ear as he quickly pecked your cheek as he continued to play.
The fact that this was your life now- the fact that the nerd that sat in the back of the ancient Roman civilizations class was now wrapped around you- STILL more focused on a damn pinball game than you-
“High score,” he muttered under his breath as the screen in front flashed yellow and blue. Sure enough somehow he had really just gotten the high score.
“Good job babe,” you laughed as he flicked through the letters to spell out your name on the scoreboard.
“Couldn’t have done it without my lucky charm,” he smiled as he placed a kiss on the top of your shoulder before pushing back from the machine and stretching his arms above his head, lifting up the hem of his shirt in the process. Your eyes couldn’t help but wander down to his exposed midsection, a small bit of his tattoo peaking out, “enjoying the view?” he asked as he caught you in the act. You felt your face go red as you tried to open your mouth to defend your way out of this one, but you knew it was hopeless.
He smirked and pulled you in by the belt loops until you were chest to chest with him, wrapping your arms behind the back of his neck. He was a strong proponent of PDA, and you for once didn’t mind it in a relationship.
“Think I can get lucky again tonight?” he said as his lips brushed yours. You pushed onto the toes of your shoes and kissed his lips, leaving him wanting more as you sunk back down. You slid your hand on top of his jeans, touching his skin under his shirt causing him to suck air in with anticipation.
“I think it’s both of us getting lucky,”.

More Than Convenience - Choi Soobin
(Soobin/Female Reader)
Warnings: Smut, Blowjob, Eating Out, Fingering, Praise Kink
Tumblr media
You found yourself dreading each day at work. Hours and hours of dealing with nosy customers, restocking shelves, all while desperately trying to manage the infinite wrath of your boss, Mrs. Lee, proved exhausting to say the least. That was until a certain coworker joined your shift.
He was so tall it would scare you if not for his baby face. He wore a light grey pair of trousers, matched with a soft knit cardigan which accentuated his slim figure. His lips and eyes reminded you of that of a bunny’s, and his fluffy hair only further proved that fact. He wore a polite smile on his face, and even Mrs. Lee seemed to like him, grinning at him as if she were a proud mother. You scowled under your breath. Since when was she kind to anyone?
“Ah, yes… We are going to get so many customers because of you…” She muttered, and you now knew the reason why his presence brought her so much joy. Oh god, was he going to be one of those people who are stuck up simply due to the fact that they are pretty? Mrs. Lee called your name, gesturing towards you as to introduce you to him.
“This is the other worker in your shift, Mr. Choi. Please take the register for her whenever you are able, your good looks will boost my sales!” Did she have no shame…? He smiled awkwardly at this statement, fidgeting with his hands behind his back, showing that he was deeply uncomfortable. Regardless, you didn’t like him. Because of your manager’s decision, you would now be stuck hunched over on your back filling shelves with hundreds of products each day. Either way, you smiled at him, not wanting to make another enemy at work, since the woman in front of you clearly proved to be one.
“It’s nice to meet you. You can call me Soobin.” You were surprised to find that rather than Mrs. Lee, he was speaking to you, and you acknowledged his words with a small nod. You wouldn’t allow yourself to like him so easily. It was best to be cold so he knows how you felt about him. This guy would be forcing you to get scoliosis by the time a month had passed.
Your boss soon left the room, giving him a quick overview on how to use the cash register as she walked by, telling him to ask for your help if he ever needed. “Thanks for offering for me to give him a run-down on your policies, boss!” You wanted to say, but you knew better than to defy the one who kept food on your plate. With a quick shake of his hand, you and Soobin went on your separate ways, both tending to your individual positions.
—˚ʚ♡ɞ˚—
It had been a little over a month since your coworker joined, and to your utmost surprise, your back was still intact, although in pain. Speaking of Soobin, you soon learned that he wasn’t as bad as you thought he was, even though it was technically his presence which had reduced you to a shelf stocker. If he noticed you were tired, he’d offer to swap places until Mrs. Lee walked in and yelled at you for ‘ruining her sales,’ but you were perfectly good looking yourself, thank you very much. She’d apologize to Soobin for you stealing his position, as if he hadn’t offered to do it in the first place, patting him on the head, giving him a sorrowful look before glaring in your direction. What did this woman even have against you? The mere thought of these moments put an expression of pure annoyance on your face.
It was yet another day at work when, as to no one’s surprise, you were filling yet another shelf with chips. To your distaste, it happened to be the one shelf you couldn’t reach the top layer of, and there was no way in hell you were going to walk all the way to the supply closet for a single row of chips. Before you processed what you sounded like, the words escaped your lips.
“Soobin, could you help me reach the top shelf of this?” Oh shit. Without realizing it, you had reenacted word for word every drama’s cliche scene. But what were you supposed to do, especially when there was a human ladder right in the same room as you? His reaction was in every way similar to the movies you’d seen, and this weird fluttery feeling filled your chest.
He walked up to you, and without a word, his arms moved past your face as he essentially held the air around you to place every bag in its place. Your heart stopped. God, why were you feeling like this? You tried to shake off the thought, and the faint red tint on his ears as he walked away in silence, but it kept coming back like a song that just couldn’t get out of your head.
Finally, due to the disappointment of realizing that next you would have to carry dozens of gallons of milk into the fridge, your mind went elsewhere.
That is why, when work ended that day, it was a most pleasant surprise. As you made your way out, getting ready to close the shop, you saw a woman and her two children at the register, smiling red-faced at the sight of the cashier. With his assurance, she stacked a few more candies for the young boys next to her, increasing her bill by at least five dollars. “It pisses me off so much when Mrs. Lee is right…” You muttered, bothered by how pretty that man was and angry at the increased fortune of your boss, even if by a minuscule amount. You left the store that night scoffing in annoyance, both at your manager and at yourself for growing fond of the boy you worked with.
As you closed your eyes that night to sleep, you drifted off to a heavy dream.
His soft voice called out your name, equally soft hands brushing past your cheeks and onto your lips. His arms had you pinned against the shelves. He was pleading for your touch. You soon realized that you were in the situation you had found yourself in earlier, but with a few key changes. The primary one being that his mouth was now on yours. You ignored the obvious parallels to the day you had just had, engrossed into the moment and engulfed into the ocean which was his eyes. His arms snaked around your waist, pulling you closer into his body, leaving a hot sensation between your legs. Before you knew it, you were moaning into the kiss, yearning for more of him, for all of him.
“Please,” You whined, not wanting him to stop anytime soon, but to your surprise and displeasure, before you was your older sister. Your expression immediately shifted to one of disgust, matching hers painted in judgement.
“Why the hell are you fucking your pillow?” She asked, and you had no response other than silence. Her eyebrows furrowed and her lips formed a frown. And with that, she left your room, refusing to close the door solely to bother you. Looking at the time, you realized you should be heading to work soon, and you went on your way, both ashamed and shocked that you could even imagine such a thing.
—˚ʚ♡ɞ˚—
Many days passed, and given your newfound… desires, it only got harder and harder to look Soobin in the eyes. He himself didn’t help much either, as now rather than allowing you to walk all the way to get a stepping stool, he ever so kindly (to your utter horror) decided to help you with stocking the tall shelves at any chance he got. If he ever so much as saw you step towards the supply closet, he would grab your wrist, sending butterflies into your stomach, and bring you back over to the aisle all while holding your arm.
Suddenly, you understood why people dropped the entirety of their bank accounts at the sight of him, because lately more than ever, he was the prettiest thing to you. Not that he had changed physically, he still had the same elegant yet equally cute beauty to him, but your feelings about him certainly had. Whether you told yourself so or not, whether you brushed it off or not, deep down you secretly knew that you liked him.
One day, after waking up from another dream that left you with a pool between your legs, he, yet again, leaned over you to place items on the shelf above. But he wasn’t focusing on his hands, nor was he staring into space. He was gazing directly into your eyes, which soon turned to him looking at your soft lips. You clearly noticed this, as your face soon felt warm and you stumbled over your words.
“Are you… finished yet?” You asked, hoping that the multiple times your voice broke were subtle enough to ignore, flashing a sheepish grin in attempt to lighten the suddenly thick mood. This seemed to snap him out of whatever trance he was in, as his face flushed, apologizing for his actions, walking straight back to the cash register. The rest of the day, he seemed to be glancing in your direction, and based on his demeanor, he didn’t notice that you were staring back and had seen through his attempts to be discreet each and every time. Of course, you could never say this, because that would only reveal that you were looking at him too.
—˚ʚ♡ɞ˚—
After what felt like an eternity, as if his presence in itself could slow down time, it was time for you to leave. Yet again, he was finishing up with the last customer, so you took the extra time to prepare the store for the next day. Mrs. Lee had already left hours ago, and she entrusted you to her keys not due to her belief in your abilities, but due to the fact that she couldn’t be bothered to do it herself. You waited at the door for Soobin to leave the room, not wanting to lock him in (which had already happened multiple times on accident). Finally, he stepped out of the door behind the person he had somehow managed to sell three dozen cartons of eggs to, shocked and impressed at both his ability to charm people and the customer’s strength to carry out a cart filled with so much food.
As he walked out to leave, avoiding your gaze with a face painted in a faint shade of pink, you suddenly had an urge to have him stay. And so you made him. You grabbed his wrist, as he often had at your feeble attempts to use a stepping stool instead of him, and mustered up all of your courage to speak.
“Soobin, wait,” You began, stumbling over every syllable as if each word were akin to running a marathon, “It’s late, so maybe we should eat here together…?”
He looked at you with an expression of obvious confusion, but there was something else in his eyes. He was flustered.
“Ah… But… Isn’t it the same time we always get off of work? I only made us a few minutes late with the eggs…” He questioned, and realizing your mistake, you flushed in embarrassment. Oh. Well, you probably should have thought about that sooner… You apologized, preparing to go off in your own direction, but now it was his turn to stop you from leaving, and he spoke yet again.
“Now that I think about it, I am kind of hungry… Let’s stay for a little?” He asked, ears a bright red by the time he finished talking. With nothing more than an excited nod, you followed him back in. At the corner of the shop lay a break room, lined with soft couches and coffee machines galore. Although it probably shouldn’t be called such, since it was practically Mrs. Lee’s office. If she caught anyone but her inside, she would threaten to fire them with an angry glare. You had hardly seen the entirety of it if not to report to her about some annoying customer asking for the person who ran the place. Now that you thought about it, that was probably the only work she actually did around here.
“I feel like I’m committing a crime by being in here,” Soobin muttered, and you laughed in agreement, an equally uncomfortable expression on your face. In your hands were two cups of spicy ramen, a chicken buried in peppers on the cover.
“Let’s see who stops to drink first,” You challenged, and he eagerly agreed.
“You’re on.” He joked, playing along with your game.
Pouring the hot water from the coffee machine into your noodles, it softened into a manageable texture. You took the first bite, pleasantly surprised. For a convenience store, it had pretty decent food. He obviously had a different opinion, as his face contorted in disgust both at the flavor and spice. At first you reveled in your victory, but as he was still suffering minutes later, you put down your chopsticks and ran to get him a cold drink. What was the best thing to use here…? Strawberry milk, you decided. Not that it was necessarily better than normal milk, but it had a picture of a bunny on it you couldn’t refuse.
You walked back to the room, only to find him still dying from heat, and quickly offered him a sip. You tried to ignore the way his face brushed past your hand as you fed him the drink, or the way his lips were somehow even cuter while around a straw.
“You know, you look like the bunny on this cup.” You said, before realizing what you were doing, and before you had time to undo your actions, he replied.
“Are you calling me cute, miss?” He teased, adding the last part solely to see your eyes dart around the room, searching for anything to look at but him. You were playfully annoyed at his words, but then you realized that you had to win anyways, so you gazed directly into his eyes.
“And what if I am?” You said simply, as if just making conversation. Clearly this worked on him, as his eyes widened in a manner which made him even more adorable than before, and it only made you want to fluster him more.
“Choi Soobin, what if I am calling you cute?” You reinstated your previous words, satisfied at the way his face had turned a soft pink at your words.
“I,” he began, trying to find a response, but his thoughts escaped his lips before an excuse could. “Can you kiss me?” This time it was your turn to be embarrassed. Such a bold request, coming from someone who knew you wouldn’t say no to them… No, he sounded hesitant, so it couldn’t be that. You knew you couldn’t say no to him.
Your expression told him everything he needed to know. You cupped his face in your hands, looking into his warm eyes, and to your surprise he pulled you into his lap. A soft squeak left your mouth, startled at his actions, but you soon grew to like the feeling of being surrounded by his body. Without wasting a second, you pressed your lips against his, enjoying the sweet taste of strawberry which remained. He held his arms around your waist tighter, as if you were so fragile you could disappear in a second, not letting go of the kiss for a moment. Realizing how far up his lap you were, he gasped against your mouth, but you only took this as an opportunity to feel his tongue against yours. Humming against his lips, you deepened the kiss, and he clearly enjoyed it as by the muffled whimper that you heard. This man was going to be the death of you.
Eventually you had to pull away to breathe, both panting for air. His lips were swollen and puffy from you sucking on them, and his eyes were filled with affection so deep it made your heart melt. And yet there was another emotion. Lust.
“More…” He whispered, face now buried into your neck. The sound of his voice was enough to make you insane. You pressed a soft kiss to his head.
“Soobin…” You replied, searching for something, anything to say with your mind in such a disheveled state. “I’m all yours. If you’ll be mine, too?” You nearly cringed at your own words before he immediately agreed, as if he had been waiting for this moment his entire life. Such sweet words were a stark contrast to the profanity of this situation. You sat in his lap, pressed firmly against the now hardened bulge in his pants.
“I wouldn’t want anything more." His words left a warm feeling in your heart, and an even warmer feeling between your legs. Within a moment, his mouth, once innocently resting on your shoulder, now latched itself onto the sensitive skin of your neck. You gasped in surprise, and before you could stop it, the feeling of his hot tongue led many not-so-innocent noises to escape your lips. Before, his name was said out of affection, and now, you were gasping it in desire. He left soft bites down your neck, his even softer breaths becoming something you could get addicted to.
Even so, it wasn’t enough. You wanted more. You needed more. You found yourself grinding against him, and his sharp whines told you he needed you just as badly.
“Can I touch you?” You asked, wanting to hear more of his sweet sounds. He nodded slightly while looking away in embarrassment, but you pulled him right back into a soft kiss. You found yourself missing the feeling of his mouth on your skin. Your hand was placed between his legs, palming him through his clothes, and the desperate moans that left his lips nearly made you lose all composure. His head found itself buried in your neck yet again, biting into your skin as if to hold him steady. You sloppily undressed him, leaving him half wearing his trousers, all while remaining in his lap.
“Open your mouth.” His lips parted, sucking on your fingers with a look in his eye that told you he wanted you more than anything. You pressed yet another soft kiss to his forehead, now moving your hand back down and slowly stroking his cock. The sound that escaped him was nothing short of heavenly. His moans grew louder as your fingers moved faster, and you stopped for a moment only to sit on the floor in front of him.
“Please…” Before you could even ask, he pleaded for you to taste him, and so you did. You kissed his tip, smiling at how it twitched at your slightest touch. Wanting to see how far you could take this teasing, you licked him up and down at an agonizingly slow pace. His whimpers grew more and more desperate before you finally gave in, taking him whole. He tasted slightly sweet, a mild but pleasant flavor. You loved it. You loved him. His length was too much to maintain this for too long, so you shifted to stroking one half of him with your hand and licking him on the other. This seemed to do it for him, as his moans grew louder, calling your name endlessly as if you were the only one he could love, softly tugging on your hair in desperation.
You increased your speed, longing to hear more of his shaky breaths, wanting to give him all of the pleasure in the world. He was clearly affected by this, as he began rutting his hips into you, chasing his climax. At once, you felt his warm cum fill your mouth, a taste you could hardly enjoy before his lips were on yours once again. This time, he shifted to you, yearning to make you feel as good as you did for him. He pulled you back onto the couch, knee pressed between your legs as he kissed you, rubbing against your sensitive clit and sending sweet waves of pleasure through your body. His teasing proved deadly, one look into his eyes and you could tell he wasn’t going to stop until he had eaten you whole.
He leaned over, guiding you to lay down, quickly undressing you, resting his head on your thigh. He looked into your eyes, as if asking for your consent, and you simply responded by pulling him into you. You were already wet, but once his tongue was between your legs your arousal became almost unbearable. His cute eyes looked up into yours, as if seeking your praise. If it were any situation but this one you would have found it utterly adorable, but now, all it did was turn you on more.
“Harder…” You muttered between shaky breaths and gasps. He looked as if he were drunk on the high of pleasing you, face buried between your legs, tongue licking up every last drop of you. You gasped at the feeling of his fingers now buried inside of you, curling into you. He hit your sensitive spot, and you threw your head back in pleasure. In noticing this, he repeated the action over and over again.
“Soobin-ah… More…” This simple plea only made him go faster, eating you out as if his life depended on it, replicating any action that seemed to make you feel better than the last. He was incredibly acute in your reactions, exploiting your weaknesses, bringing waves of pleasure through your body. Soon, you couldn’t take it anymore, telling him you were about to finish. A rush of warmth filled your body, and you felt nothing short of ecstasy as you climaxed. He eased you through it, slowly tasting you with his tongue, and licked his lips once he pulled away.
He looked into your eyes, and your face flushed in embarrassment, only to be met by him peppering soft kisses all over your face. He laid down with you, fixed your clothes and buttoned his own pants, wrapping his arms around your waist. His head fell onto your chest looking up into your eyes lovingly.
“Are you sure we can’t just sleep here…?” He asked, half teasing half serious, now tired as it was getting late. His eyelids grew heavy, and he nearly slept on top of you. You woke him up through pinching his soft cheek.
“Has anyone ever told you how adorable you are?”
“Not anyone that mattered. Until now, that is.”
—˚ʚ♡ɞ˚—
“What the actual hell are you two doing?!” The booming voice of your boss woke you with a start. You took a moment to analyze your surroundings, and by the sight of Soobin lying atop you, cute face buried in your chest, still somehow fast asleep, you knew you were thoroughly fucked.
You tapped his shoulder until he awoke, desperate to get him to help you come up with any explanation, but to no avail.
Well… at least you knew you wouldn’t be trusted to close shop anymore.

♡ summary: you just joined a new high school and you're hoping to make a bunch of new friends. unfortunately, you're paired up with Akatsuki and he seems to despise you. nevertheless, you're determined to make it work. little do you know that you're first interaction would lead to a wonderful friendship and possibly even more.
♡ pairing: bakugo katsuki x reader
♡ tags: no warnings, just fluff :) but the next couple of parts may or may not have some smut ;)
♡ notes: hi besties! I'm back finally with another fanfic after months. I'm so sorry for my hiatus, but I've been super busy with college. I'm graduating in literally in 5 days which is so exciting (neurosci and psychology BS) and also been working on a patent and been doing patient trials in the neurosci lab I volunteer at and been applying for grad programs, so its been a lot. but I'm back with a new (long) Katsuki fic now that things have finally settled! Really this was a story with my OCs, Drew and Kressie (names still yet to be confirmed but that's what I've got for now) but I thought this would still work with Bakugo. Let me know if y'all want me to post the OC version too :) hope you guys like it!

As you sit in the principal’s office with your parents, you start to drown out the principal’s monotonous voice. All you cared about in the moment was how you would fit in. Middle school had been terrible; a journey chocked full of bullies and spending lunches alone. So when your parents told you that the 3 of you were moving to a new state for your dad’s fancy new job, you thought this was your chance to wipe the slate clean. Start afresh and make some friends this time around. You’d been excited for weeks, but now sitting here about to start your first day, you felt your stomach churn with anxiety.
The principal calling your name brought you back to reality. “So Y/N are you ready to start your first day? I know it’ll be halfway through your periods, but still your first day if you think about it!”
“As ready as I’ll ever be,” you replied, picking up your backpack.
“I’ll take you to your new classroom,” said the principal, standing up and opening the door for you, gesturing you to follow him. After saying goodbye to your parents, you head outside the office with a big sigh, readying yourself. It felt like forever before you reached your classroom. Your principal knocked on the door and stuck his head inside. You heard him say something to the teacher inside, but couldn’t quite make out what. She came out a couple moments afterward and the principal left you in her hands. A short introduction later, she brought you inside to the front of the class.
“Hey everyone, I’m sorry to interrupt you all in the middle of quiet work time, but we’ve got a new student. This is (Y/N) and she’ll be in our class from now on,” she said with a big smile on her face; it was almost too cheery. “I’m hoping since you only came in a week late, it won’t be too hard to catch up with the class.” She scanned around the classroom before continuing, “Looks like we’ll have to place you in the back with Katsuki. We share one big desk between students, so I hope that’s okay with you.” You nod and the teacher turns towards her desk, reaching down to grab a packet. “Here’s what we’re working on right now; answer as best as you can and don’t worry about getting questions wrong. You’ll be sitting right over there,” pointing to the back.
You look toward where she gestured to find a guy in a black hoodie, his eyes covered by his hood and lip curled in disdain. “Fantastic,” you thought, taking the packet from your teacher’s hand. “It’d be my luck to be put right next to someone that looks like they’d kill.” You plop down in your seat and look towards your new deskmate, smiling at him as an olive branch. Maybe he was super nice and just didn’t know how to show it.
He looked at you up and down, eyebrows furrowed in confusion as if he was wondering why you’d even dare to look over. With a sigh, you turn back around and start to work on your packet. You wouldn’t consider yourself super smart, but definitely above average. But ‘above average’ wasn’t going to cut it for this packet. You chose to take Calculus to challenge you and to look better on college applications, but looking at the work in front of you, you regretted your decision. This stuff was just way too complicated, but you were determined to figure it out.
You look over at Deku to see whether he’s struggling too for some sort of comfort. To your disappointment, you see him flying through the work, his head practically buried in the packet. You tried again to work through the first problem. “Find the derivative of the following function...what even is a derivative?” you thought to yourself. You pulled out your phone, hoping to try and find some sort of video to explain what was going on when you felt a tap on your shoulder.
You turned around to find your teacher smiling at you once again. “Hey (Y/N), I hope the packet is going good, but in this classroom we don’t use phones to search up answers. If you’re having trouble, why don’t you ask your deskmate to help you out? I’m sure Katsuki would love to help you out!”
You slipped your phone back into your pocket, giving your teacher a tight-lipped smile in return. “Out of all people, why did I get paired with him,” you pleaded internally. After a few moments, you give up and decide to ask Katsuki for help. “Hey, uh... would you mind helping me out with this question please?” No response. You cleared your throat, hoping to draw attention to your request. Nothing, nada, zilch. It’s then that you noticed he had some earbuds in. “Maybe he really just couldn’t hear me,” you thought. A few moments of contemplation later lead you to tapping his shoulder, hoping to finally get his attention.
He whipped his head around, giving you the chance to get a good look at his face. The first thing you noticed were his eyes. His eyes were red, probably because of contacts, and were coupled with dark circles; it looked like he hadn’t had sleep in weeks. You were finally able to see his hair peeking out from under his hood which had been messily bleached blonde with brown roots growing out. His lips were still in a snarl. “What do you want?” he asked, spitting out each word with anger. “Don’t you know when people are trying to ignore you?”
A hit and a miss. There was no doubting it now; he definitely hated you. You hadn’t even been in the classroom for 20 minutes and your high school dreams of making friends were already coming crashing down. You were just about to reply when he snapped back at you “What? Just going to stare at me forever or something?”
See, you were nice, but not nice enough to let that sort of behavior go by without saying anything. “What the fuck is your problem dude? I just wanted to ask you about derivatives. Damn, a bitch can’t even be curious about math anymore,” you retorted. You were hoping to put him in his place a little, but instead, you heard him chuckle.
“Ok fine, I’ll help you out. I’ll admit, that was a little funny. But this doesn’t mean we’re all buddy buddy, okay? I just want you off my back.”
“Sure whatever gets me done with this packet,” you said, flipping through the pages of the problems till you found the one you were looking for. You pointed to the derivative question and said “Just explain this one to me and I’ll be out of your hair. I just don’t really know how to get started with it.”
With an annoyed sigh, Katsuki gets started on explaining it to you. “Okay so basically all you’ve got to do is just differentiate all 3 parts and then add it. Was that too hard for you to understand or something or did you finally get it?”
You didn’t want to say it, but you didn’t get it. What was differentiating? Subtracting? You had no clue. But you couldn’t admit that, not when he was acting so rude; you had way too much pride for that sort of confession. “Let’s say I didn’t get it. I totally did, but if I didn’t, would you be able to explain it more in depth?” you ask him, hoping he wouldn’t pick up on your lie.
Katsuki definitely picked it up. He wasn’t stupid. But he was dreading having to talk to you more. He wasn’t trying to make friends or talk to people and be all chit-chatty; all he wanted was to be left alone, but unfortunately, you didn’t seem to be picking up on that any time soon. He grabbed your sheet and put it right between you two. If you wanted a in-depth explanation, you were going to get one. Bit by bit, he explained every single step of the problem, dragging out each individual part unnecessarily. That’d teach you to bother him again.
What he did not expect was the beaming smile you gave him in return. “Thank you so much! That actually helped a ton dude! See I knew you could be nice,” you say as you bring the packet back to your side to continue working on the next couple of problems.
Your response threw him for a loop. Sure, Katsuki was confused over how he could seem nice, but what really had him was your smile. He could’ve sworn it was the sweetest smile he’d ever seen. Slightly crooked, but still shined like the sun. He turned around, pulling his hood down to cover the slight blush that had appeared on his face. He hated the feeling he had his stomach now and it was all your fault. He knew it was a bad idea to help you.
He dove into his work, trying not to focus on you. It felt like decades before the bell rang and people started packing up to move to their last period. Out of the corner of his eye, Katsuki saw you whip out a folded piece of paper, which opened up to reveal your schedule. He heard you sigh as he was packing up and he already knew what was coming. As soon as he came back up from zipping his backpack, he was met with your eyes looking at him and he knew you were about to bother him again.
“Uh... so I’ve got my next period in room 2301, but I have no idea how to get there. I think its English Lit with Ms. Carlisle, but like we only have 10 minutes to get there and I don’t want to get lost. Do you mind just giving me some quick directions?” you ask.
He wanted to say no and tell you to get lost. But it seemed like his mouth betrayed him when he heard himself saying “Yeah ok, I”ll take you there.”
“Oh! I mean you don’t have to really take me to the room, but I appreciate it a lot!” you reply cheerily with another one of your smiles.
“Do her cheeks never hurt from all that smiling?” Katsuki thought to himself. “It’s whatever, I’m in the same class too so I don’t give a shit.” he said, standing up and slinging his bag over one shoulder.
He starts walking away and you take that as a sign to start walking or be left alone in the classroom. With a wave to your teacher, you speed up to catch up to him. It was a bit awkward walking beside him but not talking. You’d initiate some sort of conversation, but it looked like he was ready to bite your head off and you already felt like you were pushing it.
Thankfully, Katsuki ended the awkward silence between you two, “So.... like, where did you move from?”
“From Florida, but not like city Florida, think like retirement home type of Florida. North Florida specifically.” you rambled, trying to fill up the silence between you for a bit longer.
“Cool, so you’ve like seen gators and shit then?” he said, looking down towards you. It was then that he took notice of the height difference between the two of you. He wasn’t super tall by any means, but compared to you he felt like a giant.
“I mean I’ve seen a couple snakes, gators... and a few lizards too! Nothing too scary though!” you say with a smile. He nodded in response and a silence settled over you two again. You started to rack your brain for something to say to keep the conversation going, when you suddenly felt a yank on your backpack.
“Don’t just fucking walk off, we’re here, English Lit,” Katsuki says, pulling you back to the front of the door after you’d walked right past it.
“Oh! Thank you” you reply, holding the door open. “After you.”
Katsuki felt weird walking into class and it had nothing to do with the quiz the class had to do today. He walked over to his usual desk and felt you follow behind before sitting down right next to him. You put your bag down in your seat and walked over to the teacher, probably to go introduce yourself. It was obvious to Katsuki that he wasn’t getting rid of you or the weird feeling you gave him every time you smiled anytime soon.
He was brought out of his thoughts by the sweetest laugh he had ever heard. He turned towards the source of the sound and he wasn’t surprised to see it came from you. It seemed like everything you did added to that weird feeling he felt in his stomach. He hated it. You sat back down next to him, syllabus in hand along with a couple of other forms for you to fill out.
Class seemed to drag on forever for Katsuki. It took everything in him to focus on what the teacher was saying rather than how your eyebrows were furrowed in concentration and how you chewed your pencil from time to time and how you drew tiny little flowers and hearts on your notes whenever you got bored. The bell finally rang, releasing Katsuki from what seemed to be his own personal hell. He got up wordlessly to walk towards his car, ready to leave and go home. He made it a couple of paces outside of class before he felt a small tap on his arm.
He turned around to see you looking up at him with big eyes. “Hey.. uhh.. Could I maybe get your number? We have to finish that packet by tomorrow’s class and I know there’s a good chance I could be confused again, so I was hoping to maybe get your help again?” you ask.
How could he refuse those eyes? With a sigh, he held his phone out to you. You looked up at him quizzically. “Do I need to explain everything to you? Put your number in already. I’ll text you back so you can have mine” he snapped.
You took his phone and typed in your number, saving your contact while you were at it. “There you go, all saved and everything,” you say. You couldn’t even fully finish your sentence before Katsuki snatched his phone out of your hands.
“Well, it was nice meeting you Katsuki, but I’ve got to head to the buses soon. I think my bus is leaving in like literally 10 minutes. It was nice meeting you though and hope to see you tomorrow,” you say, running off to catch the bus before you were left without a ride.
“Nice to meet you too, I guess,” he whispered to himself. He hoped you didn’t hear it. He walked to his car, throwing his bag into the backseat and putting his head on the steering wheel. “What’s going on with me? Why is everything so weird all of a sudden?” he thought. He took his phone out from his hoodie, looking for your contact and, more importantly, to put a name to your face.
It wasn’t hard to find since it was the only contact that stuck out like a sore thumb. “Y/N..” he said, reading out your name. He noticed a small smiley face beside your name, a sweet detail that caused an unconscious smile to cross his lips. It didn’t take him long to notice and he immediately shook his head trying to drive his smile away. He put his head back on the wheel with a thud, letting out a frustrated groan. That weird and uneasy feeling in his stomach had come back again and he had a feeling it wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

A Review of In Stars and Time
If you're seeing this, you've probably already played In Stars and Time. I'm not exactly bursting with followers from before I became obsessed with it. But this is still worth making, just in case I can convince one person to pick this game up. So, to give you fair warning, there will be some (hopefully) light spoilers in this. If you want the basics, just skip to the last two paragraphs, but if you want an idea of my emotional impression of the game, try this on for size:
In Stars and Time is an RPG about the power of friendship in which you play as Siffrin, a quiet and introspective rogue out to save the country of Vaguarde from the evil King, who seeks to freeze the world in time. With them are their friends Mirabelle, Odile, Bonnie, and Isabeau, and they all draw strength from the wonderful bonds that their little group has. Arriving in the town of Dormont, you and your friends charge up the House of Change to meet the King, ready to defeat him using the magic of...
Uh oh. Something seems to have gone wrong here. I'm pretty sure that you weren't supposed to die this early. If it was the final battle and this was some kind of grand sacrifice I would get it, but as of right now... let's just try this again.
In Stars and Time is a game about time loops. Specifically, the one that you, Siffrin, are stuck in. It turns out you may have been less prepared to fight the King than you thought. Don't worry though; you have all the time in the world to figure it out, even if it's a little more difficult than it first appeared. Just remember to rely on your helpful guide Loop, who's here to help you make it through the best they can, even if they don't know how or why the loop started in the first place. But as if getting through the House of Change wasn't hard enough, what with its traps, locked doors, and vicious Sadnesses standing in your way, you have to manage your party members too. As it turns out, they aren't looping with you. But don't worry! While you may have felt a little lost at first, eventually you discover the perfect things to do and say to make them like you even more than the first time around. With your bonds stronger than ever and your route through the House perfectly memorized, you charge up to face the King in a heated battle with the fate of Vaguarde on the line! It's difficult, but in the end you triumph over the King and head into the final room of the House to celebrate with your friends- no, your family.
That's odd. You've defeated the King with the best possible ending, but there's still another 3 Acts left in the story. What's going on here?
In Stars and Time is just another trash indie game. I'm sorry you had to find out this way, but it's true; this game should be 10 hours shorter and cut right after you beat the King with your family in tow. It hurts to play because now that things have gone wrong, things seem to have gotten worse in your head, too. Where's the resolution to this story? When does it end? You said all the right things, you made all the right moves, and your family members have never been happier! By any other game's logic, this would be the endpoint. You may have struggled to make it through the time loop, but since you managed to keep your sanity intact and be nice to your friends, you get a gold star and the true ending. For some reason, this game refuses to let you have that success, and I'm infuriated on your behalf. I suppose you'll have to keep looking for a solution somewhere within the House, even though I know you're getting a little sick of it by now. Try not to get too frustrated by all this, okay? It would be quite awful if you did something you'd regret because you were feeling...
Ah. Well.
That changes my opinion of things, I suppose. I have no words that could do justice to what we just experienced. What a finale, eh? Let's try this review one more time, with a more...complete view of things. No more of this "describe what happens in the game step by step" malarkey. Everyone knows that's bad practice anyways.
In Stars and Time is an RPG about memory, communication, and the mortifying ordeal of being known. (It'll make more sense when you play it). With a lovely sound track and both beautiful hand-drawn and pixelated artwork, In Stars and Time manages to convey one the best stories I have ever experienced in the history of gaming. If you're the sort that likes comparisons, I would describe this game as a combination of the the humor and surprising depth of the Stanley Parable, the intense emotional characters and tight writing of Undertale, and the incredible worldbuilding of Harry Potter (without having to suffer through J. K. Rowling). I felt genuinely mystified by the unexplained and had a strong desire to learn more about the world during my unfortunately brief time within it.
3 weeks after completing the game, I'm still stewing in the things I felt and the realizations I came to while playing it. This is one of the few games I can say genuinely changed my life; after playing it I found the strength to reach out and connect to the friends I have in the real world on a level I never thought I'd be able to achieve. I feel a moral obligation to recommend this game; if it can do the same things for you that it did for me, it would be evil of me to deny you them. For the incredibly modest price of 20$, you will experience approximately 20 hours of soul-gripping gameplay that might stick with you for the rest of your life. This is something worth your time.

When you heard mixed noises coming from the TV and felt a hand on your hair, you opened your eyes lazily. You felt numb and spent. Confused by the sense of loss seized through you, you lifted your hand to touch the one stroking your hair with tenderness.
The hand on your hair stopped, and you looked at the handsome figure above you.
“Hey,” said Ben. “You’ve been sleeping for hours, sweetheart.”
Even more confused, “for hours?” you asked. You realized your head was on his leg.
“Yeah,” he chuckled. “Didn’t you sleep well yesterday?”
You tried to remember how you fell asleep or what made you feel this way, but it left you even more puzzled. You felt a sense of disquiet take over. You shivered under his soft hands. You did not like this empty feeling.
“What happened?” he asked softly this time, helping you to get up and taking you in his strong arms right away.
“I don’t know,” you murmered while resting your head on his broad and strong chest. The warmth touching your cheeks and hands helped you. “I feel distressed and scared. Maybe I just overslept.”
He tightened his strong arms around you, gave a firm kiss to your forehead, and you pressed your body against his, searching for peace in his presence. You felt desperate yet safe in that moment.
He lifted your chin to look at you properly and see what’s wrong. “Scared of what?” he asked you in disbelief.
You started “Homelander-” but he cut you off immediately by saying, “He died a long time ago, remember? I did it. I am the one who killed him, baby,” and continued, “What can make you scared when the strongest supe ever to live is your husband, huh?” as he gave you a teasing wink.
The sincerity of his words calmed your sensitive heart in a second.
“No one can dare to hurt you as long as you’re with me.”
You believed him.
His conforming touch and sweet talk shadowed and overtook your negative mood.
“As long as I’m with you? What if I leave you? Does it mean they can touch me?” You teased him while you put your hands around his neck.
“They may try,” he growled, and he took you by the neck and crushed his warm lips with yours firmly. Between lustful yet sweet kisses. “You don’t want to divorce or something, right?” he said, and his smile reached his eyes.
“You would never leave me.”
You were melted by his trust and hidden fragility that only you could see under his sharp gaze.
“I would never.”
He believed you.
To boost your mood, he suggested you watch a movie, and you gave him a nod. He certainly didn’t know about the latest movies released in the last four decades, so he let you choose. After Ben settled everything up, he sat on the couch and took you to his lap immediately. You did not remember at that moment if you had ever felt like this before. In fact, your mind was like a blurry landscape filled with joyless and pale colors. However, if there was only one thing you were sure of, it was that Ben’s presence brought you such comfort that you wanted to remember that exact moment and hold on to his love and tenderness for you forever.
As time passed, your thoughts were rather focused on Ben and yourself. Pushing your mind to remember what happened before you fell asleep and the day before, your eyes watered without a reason. You were stuck between nothingness and the abstract void of the present.
Trying not to sound dispirited, you said, “Ben.” Shifting your position in his arms, you lifted your head to check his expression closely. You asked, “Do we have any plans for tomorrow?”
Since you couldn’t recall your memories at all at that moment, you wanted to ask Ben and learn about tomorrow’s plan without sounding bizarre.
Ben’s eyes met yours before he gave you another kiss.
“Your sister will give us a visit. You told me you missed each other a lot, that it had been a long time since you spent time together. Don’t you remember?”
Ben’s gaze was questioning, and he looked confused. You hated yourself for being difficult and ruining the mood.
“Oh, yes. Sorry,” you murmered. “That long sleep must have unbalanced me or something, I guess.”
“Y/N,” he murmered, and he turned off the TV. “Is there something bothering you?”
Judging by his voice, he sounded disturbed, hurt, but also curious.
“No,” you denied right away. You felt terrible for making him feel that way. “I don’t mean to be like this and ruin the night, but I feel a bit strange. I can’t remember a thing from today or yesterday. I just” sighed. You didn’t know how to put your feelings into words properly.
“Do you remember that you love me?” he asked with a pained voice.
“Of course I remember,” you said with pleading eyes, not even hesitating for a single moment.
“And isn’t that enough for you?”
“It’s enough, Ben.”
He gave you a genuine, wholehearted smile before he lifted you as if you weighted nothing. “Good. Let’s get some sleep.”
Despite last night’s strange moments, you felt a joy go through your body when you felt Ben’s presence behind your back as sunlight dazzled your sleepy eyes. His grip was incredibly tight around your arms and all of your body. You tried to turn around and face him, but couldn’t even move a bit, so you hit your hips to his with a sudden and harsh movement to wake him up and loosen his arms. However, you forgot for a moment that he was a supe whose body was tougher than any material in the world, and you were just a human whose bones were more breakable than a tiny rod. You moaned, caused by a sudden pain, and that woke him up.
He loosened his arms right away and held your hip to still you.
“What are you doing?” he asked with a sleepy voice.
You finally turned to him and gave him a short but firm kiss as you played with his messy hair. “Nothing at all,” you murmered innocently. “I was just trying to wake you up.”
He made a soft noise as he pulled you closer. “Well, we both can agree on your capability about that.”
After cuddling some more time on the bed and he talked about Vought and everything, you took a shower while Ben prepared the breakfast. You sat on the chair and watched him while he was doing all the work. He was very meticulous, and he looked so serious while doing it; you couldn’t stop teasing him till he finished.
Ben put on his supe suit and left home after he gave you long and sweet kisses, leaving you with your sister alone.
You gave your sister a big hug as soon as she arrived. Ben was right. You definitely missed her so much that you didn’t want to let her go. Your heart became heavy with sorrow and melancholy, and your eyes watered for a second, but you gathered yourself, pushing the gloomy mood away and keeping the day from being ruined by those emotions.
“Hey,” she chuckled. It was obvious she was surprised. “Did you miss me that much?”
“Of course I did.”
You felt like it’s been a long, very long time since you’ve seen her, as if it’s been months, even years.
. “Are you okay, though?” she asked with a concerned voice as she rubbed your arm, and you both sat down on the couch.
“I am okay.” You smiled at her with sincerity and held her hands. “It’s just that I missed you a lot.”
She rolled her eyes at you and said, “Maybe I should put a long distance between us, so you miss your little sister even more.”
Her teasing voice made you giggle. “Well, if you make this a habit, maybe I wouldn’t. My little sister? You’re just two year younger than me,” you said, hitting her slowly with a pillow.
“So, how is everything going with Ben?” she asked.
“It’s fine,” you murmered. “He is very thoughtful and gentle.” You cut it short, not knowing how to describe marriage at all.
She gave you a suspicious look and asked, “Is that all? You don’t sound very happy.”
“I am,” you denied with a firm voice. “Really, everything is well. There is absolutely nothing wrong with him or the marriage.”
She said, “I’m glad to hear that, Y/N,” with a relieved voice. “Not going to lie, I was about to have second thoughts for a moment about marriage. After all, I’m about to join the Married People Club soon. Big news.” She showed her wedding ring.
“Can you believe?” she said excitedly. “Tim just proposed to me. To be honest, I thought our relationship wouldn’t escalate that fast and end eventually as we fought over stupid stuff all the time, but I guess love always finds a way out. What do you think?”
You were too surprised to say anything, so you just took a look at the wedding ring. She was waiting for your reaction excitedly.
“Wow, Alice,” you said, not knowing what to say exactly. “Congratulations then.” You gave her another hug. “I am so happy for you.”
“Thank you, Y/N,” she said shyly. “I haven’t told mom and dad yet though. You’re the first to hear, so don’t spill the beans,” she asked with a pleading voice. You gave her an understanding nod.
“How long has it been since you and Tim met, by the way?” You asked, and you tried not to sound mean or in any way that could upset her. You just had a hard time remembering everything.
Slightly disturbed by your question, she said, “Six or something, I guess,” with a distant voice. “Why did you ask?”
“Look, Alice,” you said, touching her arm softly. You were scared to ruin her joyful moment and make her upset. “Don’t you think it would be better if you two gave each other a bit more time? Just in case, you know.”
She frowned and raised her eyebrows as you talked. It was clear she wouldn’t take it well. “Why are you being like this, Y/N?” she asked with a hurt and angry voice. You opened your mouth to defend yourself, but she did not let you. “Do you think I’m too naive or stupid to make a decision? Why is everything okay and safe when it comes to you but not me? How does that even work?”
You were overwhelmed by her sudden rage. “I didn’t mean to upset you. I just want the best for you, and give yourself a bit more time to be sure of your feelings.”
“You did, though,” she said, raising her voice slightly. “Yeah, you sure know more about what I feel than I know about myself. Anyways. I need to go; I’m going to miss my flight.”
You were about to protest, but a sudden, heavy, and unbearable headache appeared. Holding your head, you loudly moaned in agony. You shut your eyes in pain as random memories emerged from nothingness.
“Hey,” Alice said with a concerned voice, touching your back. “Are you okay?”
You pushed yourself to ignore the sudden memories filling your mind, but it was impossible. You screamed in pain. The memories were so horrible and hideous that you couldn’t stand them. They were about your sister's death and the fight between you just one hour before her death. Just like the one you were having moments ago. Tears were dripping from your eyes uncontrallably.
Finally, you came to realize what was happening around you when the headache stopped.
“Y/N?” Alice called out one more time with a worried voice. “I’m scared.”
Her voice broke your heart into pieces. You looked at her with disbelief. She was real and right there, in front of your eyes. She was alive and well.
“Alice?”
“You scared the shit out of me,” she said, letting go of the breath she was holding for like a minute.
“Oh my god,” you muttered, shocked. The tears were streaming down your eyes already. “I can’t believe this.”
You didn’t want to worry about your real body or anything at all. You just wanted to savor this single, small, and vulnerable moment. You wanted to remember everything forever.
“Can you please tell me what’s going on?” Alice murmered in worry as she tried to get away from your tight hug to check on you. “I don’t get it.”
“Nothing,” you said, trying to calm her. “I just missed you so much.” It was difficult, but you made an effort to hold back your tears.
Even though you knew it was all a delusion, everything seemed so real.
Ben told you that those delusions were worse than a nightmare.
It was a gift.
“I am okay.” You told your sister to soothe her. “I am sorry for everything I told you, Alice. I’ve never meant to hurt you.”
You knew she was gone, and nothing would bring her back to you. Whatever she said or said, none of them were real, or your words would fix a thing. However, you just wanted to say how sorry you were for having a fight with her, filling her last moments with bitter and irreparable memories.
Alice sighed as she hugged you back, rubbing your arm. “I know.”
“I know you want the best for me, okay? I’m not angry with you,” she said, assuring you. “Hey, I really need to go. I don’t want to miss the flight, but I need to know if you are really okay.”
Remembering her flight, you sobbed between your tears. You knew it wouldn’t change a thing, but you pleaded with her in desperation. “I’m so lonely. Please, don’t leave.”
“Don’t be like this,” she murmured, wiping your tears away. “You’re not alone. Tim and I have been planning this trip for a long time, but we are going to have a great time together when I come back, I promise.”
You wanted to talk to her for hours, hug her tight, and spend time with her as much as you could, but every beautiful thing comes to an end sooner or later. It’s ironic how compassionate yet cruel life is.
You wanted to say so much but didn’t want to end this dream by confusing her or ruining this fake reality. You wanted to end your conversation with her in peace this time, as you should have.
When she rose up from the couch, you followed her to the door. You gave her a longing smile.
“I’m very happy about you and Tim. I truly am,” you said with sincerity. With a heavy heart, you said “Be safe out there, okay? I love you.”
Knowing her flight would turn into a nighmare, that day was the last day you see her and it was your last moment together, you struggled to control your tears.
“Thank you,” she said as she hugged you tight. “I will. I love you too.”
You cried for hours, not caring about what happened to your body or how long you were absent. Your phone rang like crazy, but you ignored it, knowing what it would be about. You made a vow to see the day Homelander died.
Your tears stopped when Ben came back. You rose and went to him with quick steps.
“Y/N,” he murmered with concern. “What’s wrong, sweetheart?”
The gentleness and compassion in this voice broke your heart, because it was all a lie. You knew that you had to force yourself to wake up and break that pathetic and mirrored vision of yours.
“This isn’t right,” you said with a dry voice as you tried to get away from his touch.
.”What do you mean?” He made a move to touch your cheek, embrace you, but you took a step back from him again. It broke your heart to see the disappointment and pain in his eyes.
“You’re not real nor me and this house and this marriage. Everything is fake,” you said with a firm voice.
“I don’t get it. Will you tell me what happened or why you are upset? So I can fix it,” he murmured, closing the distance between you and giving you a captivating kiss.
“I know that you don’t actually love me. I’m aware this is just a dream or a simple delusion, and I want to wake up right now.”
“You don’t make sense,” he said with a firm voice. “I do love you.”
“No.” This time you raised your voice and tried to push his hands away, but he didn’t let you go. If he tried harder, he could convince you at any moment. This Ben was everything you needed him to be. “I will wake up.”
“You told me you’d never leave,” he said. You knew when he finally understood you. “Are you not happy here?”
You wanted to surrender him badly and let yourself get lost in the moment, but you knew you couldn’t. You didn’t know what to say. Lost in thoughts, he kissed you passionately.
“Don’t leave me,” he begged again, hugging you tight desperately as if he would prevent what was about to happen.
“But you’re not real,” you murmered, touching his chin.
“If you wake up, he will never love you the way I love you and will care about you. You know he’ll hurt you.”
You knew he was right about every single thing he said. He was trying hard to persuade you, but you knew it was just a part of the delusion, and everything he said was just a mirror of your own consciousness.
“I know, but at least all of them would be real.”
He didn’t say anything this time.
“I don’t want to be here or to be with you. I will wake up,” you said decisively as you finally felt the change in the atmosphere around you. You opened your eyes.

PRONUNCIATION - Acis•mus | \əkˈsɪzməs\ DEFINITION - a feigned refusal of something earnestly desired.
PAIRING - Oikawa Tooru x Reader WC - 4.5K GENRE - Light angst, fluff SYNOPSIS - If you were to let him know that it was working, then your life would be over instantaneously.
MASTERLIST | NEXT PART
Tumblr media
The first time that you met Oikawa Toru, you knew right then, in an instant, that you never wanted to see him again.
You'd been running late to watch Tadashi's first practice match on the college team. You'd made a promise to make it even despite the current tension between his best friend and yourself. Both you and the best friend had made a promise to him that your breakup wouldn't affect your friendship with Tadashi.
You had gotten stuck bringing extra water bottles since you were already running late. An unfortunate circumstance that had landed you where it had now, on your ass on the floor with bottles scattered around you.
"Woah there cutie," the smooth voice surrounded your ears and you saw him for the first time, the boy had just caused you to fall, "let me give you a hand?" His smile was too sweet in combination with how he bent towards you, one hand leaning on his knee and the other reaching out for you.
From the way his pretty brown eyes sparkled down at you to the way his silky curls bounced when he tilted his head, you knew immediately that you wanted no part of knowing him. But your hand was moving towards his on it's own.
Your fingers barely brushed against his own and you could immediately see him holding your hand a million different times. On cute dates, anniversaries, a whole lot of firsts, watching yourself fall in love with him easily, over and over again. His fingers were slowly wrapping around yours before you were abruptly interrupted.
"Senpai!" There was a shout from a couple different girls and your hand quickly snapped away from the boy in front of you to watch the commotion. Squealing girls that immediately begged for his attention, awestruck eyes staring up at him.
And, suddenly, all those moments that had flitted through your mind shattered right in front of you. You mentally watched it fall apart. The quick fallout, the tears that would stream down your face, the feeling of your chest tearing in two.
Your shook your head clear and used the girls as your distraction to gather your things again and quickly making your way inside. Praying to never see him again.
Of course, the world would never have been so kind to you. The second you watched him step into the gym you'd let out a soft groan of annoyance. You'd known instantly he'd be able to pick you out of the crowd if he'd try.
Unreasonably attractive boy who you had zero intention of ever speaking to. The one who tried to call out to you as you hurried out of the game when they were finished with their game. Calls of 'cutie' greeting my ears as his friends kept him with his team and you dutifully found your way to Tadashi outside.
Tumblr media
The second time you saw Oikawa Toru, you were out with your best friend. Easily flitting about the shopping center with her, giggling over clothes and what would look good on each of you. Toshiko had just convinced you to buy a new dress and to swap the clothes you'd shown up in for the soft fabric that now brushed against the tops of your thighs as you walked.
"It looks so good!" Toshiko cried out as she pinched some of the fabric, smiling at you as she hauled her back higher up on her arm.
"Hey!" The shout from behind the two of you caused you both to turn your heads in curiosity. After seeing the culprit, however, you snapped your head back to look away. "I thought that was you, cutie."
You groaned lightly and tried to tug on Toshiko's arm to get her to walk faster. "Ignore him, please." You begged quietly as she only tilted her head in confusion, glancing between you and him.
"But he's cute!" She whispered back in exasperation, keeping us in place. You winced as you felt his presence stopping next to you.
"Amazing coincidence, us running into each other here right?" He smiled and you winced at how bright it was, rolling your eyes as he looked down at you both with a playful glint of his own. "Our conversation got cut short last time."
"Last time?" Toshiko questioned, looking back at you like you'd betrayed her. "You didn't tell me you ran into a cute boy, l/n."
You groaned almost immediately as the boy, now in front of you, started to speak. You cut him off. "It didn't get cut short. I left the conversation."
His smile only widened as he looked at me. "L/n's a cute name." You groaned as he ignored your comment, staying on his own track. "So, l/n-chan-"
You immediately stopped him. "Do not call me that."
"I just want to take you out, just once." You narrowed your eyes at him and turned around quickly, starting to walk away, whether or not Toshiko followed was her own business. "Awe c'mon cutie." You could hear his steps pick up to follow as he whined at you. "Just one date?" You ignored him and kept walking, rolling your eyes as he persisted. "Please, cutie?" You shot him the best annoyed look you could muster and smiled when you saw a few girls heading toward the three of you.
"Sorry," you muttered to him in fake sympathy before stepping back to watch immediately as the girls quickly surrounded him. He immediately couldn't help himself from being nice to them and you took it as your excuse to slip away.
As soon as he was out of ear-shot, Toshiko was all over the interaction. "You know that cute guy?" She asked, her voice squealing and you rolled your eyes quickly. "Oh my god, why didn't you accept his offer? He's so cute and charming. He thinks you're cute!"
"Toda, stop." You sighed and glanced over at her confused face. "That's just how those types of boys act. I'm not interested. Please drop it."
Toshiko sighed but relented in her teasing for the day. She quickly changed the topic and didn't even mention it when you knew that she caught you glancing over your shoulder at him, locking eyes easily through his crowd of girls.
Tumblr media
You didn't have time to think much of him in the next few weeks, busying yourself with college courses and plots with Tadashi to hook up your two best friends. It wasn't until your plan had succeeded that you'd realized how much of your time had been taken up by trying to hook up Toshiko and Tsukishima.
The only time you'd even thought about the boy was when Toshiko threatened to 'give the cute boy from the other college' your number. But now, with your time suddenly incredibly freed up... you had nothing better to do.
You'd decided the easiest thing to do was to wander in and out of shops at the mall with different acquaintances from school. And every time, without fail, it seemed like you ran into him.
He, who insisted that you talk to him so you made a point to do anything but that. He, who insisted on adding 'chan' to the end of your last name. Calls of 'l/n-chan' always making you press your fingers into your temples and groan.
It seemed to you that he tried his hardest to annoy you every time he saw you. Trying his hardest to convince you to take him up on his offer for a date. Today was, surprisingly, no different. No different except for the fact that your 'friends' were watching from afar, taking up camp in the food court and making no attempt to help you.
"L/n-chan, come on." He whined, leaning casually on the railing next to him, smooth smirk gracing his lips as he tilted his head towards you. "Just one date please." You sighed and rolled your eyes again, wanting so desperately to leave. "L/n-chan wou-"
"Y/n." You cut him off, tired of the name he'd been calling you. His smirk fell and one nearly picked up on your face as he pulled a confused look across his features, head tilting to the side. "It's my name. You know, like how yours is Oikawa Tooru. Mine is l/n y/n. Not l/n-chan."
His mouth dropped open. All his smoothness seemed to have disappeared as he floundered to find something to say. You sighed and shook your head before turning to walk away.
You missed the whisper under his breath as you stepped away. "She knows my name." If you'd bothered to turn around, you would have seen him trying to fully process what had left your mouth. You would have seen the dopey grin on his face as he played with the sounds of your name on his tongue, as he swooned over how his name sounded on yours.
Maybe you would've even seen the gears turning in his head as he suddenly turned into a 12-year-old girl, imagining how Oikawa y/n might sound.
"You can't date him, you know." One of the girls said as you reapproached the group you'd been with for the day. You tried to open your mouth to reply, to assure them that it wasn't even remotely in your plan, but she continued on before you could. "You'd just break him, kinda like you did with Tsukishima."
You froze at the words.
Break him? Did you break him? No. He was fine, sure you didn't talk for a while but that was normal at the end of relationships. Right? Things just hadn't worked out, you'd grown out of each other, it was fine now.
"Isn't he dating Toshiko now? But he was always quiet, was he not before?"
You stopped listening to their conversation, letting them carry on at their own pace, your opinion not needed - or wanted - on the matter. Your fingers found their way to the necklace resting on your collarbones, dragging the charm back and forth across the chain easily as you thought.
You couldn't help the thoughts turning in your head.
Were you really scared Oikawa would break you? Or were you scared of what you would do to him? Either way, it was a good reason to stop going to places you would run into him.
Tumblr media
It worked fine, your plan to stay away from Oikawa Tooru. Really, it did. Right up until you let Toshiko convince you to go support Kei and Tadashi during their official match against Seijoh.
You knew it was over the second that he locked eyes with you during warm-ups. Knew that you'd be hearing from him at some point during the course of the day.
You watched as the team you held dear to your heart slowly lost the game. The smug grin on Oikawa's face was enough to know he would be insufferable if you let him speak to you. And he was.
He was atrociously forward as he tried to catch you while you were grabbing Toshiko's things so she could go comfort Kei in his loss. It was easy to avoid him, really, his teammates trying to corral him as girls from all schools tried to fawn over him.
It was incredibly hard to want to hold your resolve to avoid him when he looked so incredibly attractive, high off of his win. He was so sure in himself and his team's abilities.
You knew that you couldn't ever admit it. Admit that he was wearing you down. That the constant attention and compliments he provided you with were getting to you. You knew that the second you admitted that you could fall for Oikawa Tooru, then your live would be over instantaneously.
As easy as it was to avoid him, you still found yourself in the stands after your team's loss. Watching from your hiding spot behind taller bystanders as Seijoh went against the infamous Shiritorizawa.
It was painful, to say the least, watching Oikawa's confidence falter as his team lost. Watching the irritation on his face as his team wore faces of defeat to mirror his.
You felt bad for him, you did, but you still couldn't let him talk to you. You'd already pressed your luck by sticking around, by removing the safety net that was your friends.
You blamed yourself, really, for the chain of events that happened next. Taking a back hallway with the hopes of avoiding any run-ins with Oikawa. How you'd run into a face you'd never seen before - an over-enthusiastic boy in a Shiritorizowa school uniform. A fan from the stands. A boy who couldn't take a hint, hovering over you, vulgar compliments leaving his mouth - anything but appealing as he cornered you against a wall.
You were quickly growing uncomfortable as his arm leaned on the wall near your head. "Come on, someone as pretty as you can't leave this place alone." He laughed loudly and you flinched from the sound. "Come home with a winner." You winced as you saw his hand moving closer to your arm.
You waited for the contact that never came. "You weren't even on the team. Honestly, taking credit for someone else's win? How pathetic." Oikawa's voice sent a wave of relief through your body. His hand was still mid-air in front of you from where he slapped the other boy's hand away. "Why don't you find someone from your own school to stroke your ego." Oikawa's harsh words were coated in sugar as he smiled at the offender. His arm slung around your shoulders casually, like it belonged there, and pulled you into him. "Now run along, she's spoken for."
The boy in front of you rolled his eyes violently. "Whatever," he scoffed, turning on his heel, "not worth the effort." You grimaced at the implication but trained your eyes on your own feet.
"Thanks, Oikawa." I whispered, not moving, still frozen in place, taking in the heat he was giving off.
"You can call me Tooru." You didn't have to look up to know he was smirking down at you.
You simply sighed and nodded. "Right, thank you." You sniffled lightly and stepped away. He, surprisingly, didn't protest as his arm fell from your shoulders. "See you around." You barely made it a step away.
"Why won't you give me a chance?" His voice was quieter. Not whiny like it usually was when he begged you for a chance. It was a genuine question. "Honestly, am I that bad? So bad that you want nothing to do with me?"
You didn't know what made you do it. What made you turn around and look up at him. But you knew what made you speak... the genuine search for an answer written on his face. You sighed and let your shoulders fall.
"Listen, Oikawa." You turned your head so you didn't have to see him, but you could feel his eyes burning into the side of your face. "I know what I'm like." It came out quiet, and it was a miracle that he'd even been able to hear you. But the hall was dead quiet, no one but the two of us.
"I know what you're like and that you have options. So," you took a large inhale and held your breath, "even if I was interested in you, even if you really are interested in me right now. One day you won't be anymore." You shook your head lightly, your fingers twisting the trinket around your neck again. "I don't wanna have to deal with that one day." It was like when you started talking that you couldn't stop.
You felt like your pauses were too long but for all you knew they could have only been a millisecond. You could have been speaking a mile a minute and you wouldn't have known. Wouldn't have heard over the sound of blood rushing into your ears to the beat of your heart.
"I know that the second I let you know that your stupid charm works on me, that you so effortlessly can wear me down, my life will be over." You sighed deeply, rubbing your hands over your cheeks. "Everything but you would cease to matter as much as it does. Please, I don't need that."
The silence in the hallway was deafening. You couldn't even know if he was still there, refusing to turn and look. Your nerves felt like they'd been set on fire, painfully burning away one by one.
"Give me a chance." Your head snapped up so that you could watch him with inquisitive eyes. There was no smile on his face, no teasing glint in his eye.
"Listen," it was his turn to sigh, "I know how I come off." He shifted awkwardly on his feet, a change from the graceful movements you were used to seeing from him, and his hand came up to scratch at the back of his neck. "But all I'm asking for is a chance. Just one." He gave you a hopeful half smile. It was awkward on his face, boyishly charming.
Fuck.
"I swear I'll try my hardest to never hurt you. That's not what I want. Not ever."
"Oikawa," you started but he cut you off, again.
"Please. I just," sigh, "I can't get you out of my head. So just, one chance." He was dangerously close to begging, genuine begging, and you winced at the implications of what that meant for your resolve. "Just one chance, please. One date. And if it's awful and you never want to speak to me again then I'll leave you alone."
He stared at you, hopefully, and you could feel your resolve crumbling, like an old wall that he'd just laid his hand on, pulling pieces down. Fuck.
"One date." You watched his smile widen immediately and your eyes widened a bit in fear. Oh god... What had you done? "Only one date Oikawa. And then you leave me alone."
"It'll be the best date you've ever had!" You glared at him as he perked up. "Cross my heart!" He snapped a dopey smile on his face and threw his hand on his chest dramatically.
You sighed and shook your head in defeat. "Friday." He nodded enthusiastically as you rattled off your address. "God don't let me regret this." You muttered to yourself.
"Could I walk you home?" He asked excitedly.
"No." You sighed as you started away from him finally. "I'll see you Friday."
Tumblr media
The week that followed passed by excruciatingly slow. You didn't tell anyone about the date with Oikawa. Not even Toshiko. Especially not after Karasuno's loss to Seijoh. It felt wrong. Honestly, especially with how excited you actually were to see Oikawa.
When Friday finally came around, you couldn't help but feel happy all day. There was a giddiness consuming your demeanor through your classes as you got closer to being able to go home.
You couldn't stop fidgeting with your hair, your clothes, your jewelry. Nothing felt perfect. And you kept feeling like he was late, but every time you looked over at the clock to prove yourself right, you weren't and he still had plenty of time to appear.
And appear he did. Five minutes early. A quick knock on the door that you probably answered way too quickly.
God did he look good too. He was out of his school uniform, in nice jeans and a button up. There was a sly grin on his face as he pulled flowers out from behind his back.
"Wow." You laughed lightly, warmth flooding across your skin as you took the flowers. "Really pulling out all the stops?"
"Hey," he shrugged and mirrored your laugh with a soft one of his own, "I only have one chance to convince you to give me another date." You failed miserable at pushing down the smile that creeped across your lips at his effort. "If we could, m'lady."
He half-bowed and gestured his arm out for you to walk down the stairs first towards where his car waited at the curb. You rolled your eyes as he opened your door for you but couldn't help the happiness that clouded your head. Maybe he wasn't all bad.
Actually, he was nothing but sweet and genuine all night long. He excitedly talked about his interests, starting with volleyball (of course) and spouting off into other topics. You heard the pride in his voice when he spoke of his nephew and listened to how he loved his friends. And he always, always, made sure to ask about your interests - assuring you that he was listening with a genuine sparkle of interest in his eyes whenever you feared you might be talking too much.
You knew he'd done it before the night was even over. Knew that he'd slipped under your skin and made his home there. Knew that he'd ended your life that easily. Erased the importance of everything other than him.
You hated him for it. Except... you didn't. You couldn't hate him, not one bit. Not even when you were staring at him in disbelief as he walked you to your front door again, rambling about aliens. You were laughing along with him, genuinely laughing and he was beaming about it.
"How about," you started, pausing in front of your door to turn and face him fully, "the next time we do this, I get to choose where we eat?" You were smiling as you watched him freeze, his face contorting through a million emotions as he processed your words before settling on excited.
"I get another date!?" he exclaimed, wide-eyed and smiling.
"Hmm," you hummed in faux consideration, "why don't you ask me?"
You let a soft smile quirk at your lips as he cleared his throat and slapped on one of his charming smirks. "L/n y/n, would you do the honor of going on another date with me?"
"Yeah," you laughed softly at the formality of it, "yeah I'd like that, Tooru." You smiled as he beamed at you, in awe. "So," you drew out the vowel of your word, glancing at your feet as you spoke the next, "you gonna kiss me goodnight too?"
He laughed heartily and wrapped an arm around your waist, easily pulling you to collide with his chest. Your hands rested against it steadily, one of his arms holding you in place by your waist while the other hand tilted your jaw up softly.
His kiss was nothing but sweet. Lips soft and warm against your own. He was all-consuming.
You went inside on a high that day. The dizzy feeling only fizzing out when you hit your mattress for the night. The high that was the feeling of being absolutely wanted by someone who you wanted too. Of being absolutely wanted by one of the most wanted men.
Suddenly, as you hit your mattress, the feeling was calmed by the reminder of what the girl had said to you mere weeks before.
You're just going to break him.
The giddy feeling washed away by the reminder that you'd be disowned if your friends knew. If they knew you let him take you on a date once, let alone that you're doing it twice.
So the sneaking around began.
Tumblr media
It was easier than you thought, really, to hide him and your relationship from your friends. Most of the places you two frequented together weren't any places that your friends would show up. His friends seemed to warm up to the idea of you being around quickly too. Once they realized that you could snap Tooru out of a funk faster than even Iwa could, they basically begged to have you around more.
It took Tooru a whole month to officially ask you to be his girlfriend, wanting to show that he was serious about you. But then only one week after that for you to wind up with a new piece of jewelry around your wrist, a small 'T' dangling from the chain. And only one more after that for him to start sporting your initial around his own neck.
It felt like it was a whirlwind. Like every day you fell in deeper. All-consuming.
You hid it well. You both hid it well. Right up until Karasuno's match against Seijoh for the spring tournament.
It had taken Iwa, Mattsun, and Makki to pull Tooru away from your giggling form in the back hallway. Him trying to convince you to give him his 'good luck kiss' before the match. Your playful refusal threw him into a whining fit that had Iwa threatening to punch him if he didn't get it together.
In the end, the whole fiasco had resulted in you giving him a kiss anyways. And in you being late to meet Toshiko in the stands on the Karasuno side. Something that Toshiko wasn't letting go.
"Where were you?" She stared at you warily as you shifted in your seat. "You're not usually late to things."
"Oh." Your eyes flicked over to where Tooru was standing on the court, a small smirk crossing his lips when he caught you looking. You brought your attention back to your friend as quickly as it had strayed but your fingers fidgeted with the charm on your bracelet.
"How long?" Her voice came out irritated and you nearly jumped in shock as you met her gaze. You tilted your head in confusion and she let out an irritated puff of air. "How long have you two been dating?" She nodded her head to where your eyes had just lingered, where Tooru was practicing sets, and you sighed in defeat.
"Almost four months."
She nearly shrieked but quickly regained her composure, not trying to draw attention to the two of you. "Are you fucking kidding me?" You winced as she seethed the words out. "I thought you hated him."
"I tried to." You sighed, upset with yourself as you finally confided in your best friend. "The first time I saw Tooru, I knew I never wanted to see him again. I knew what would happen if I did." You groaned and let your head fall in your hands.
"I signed my death warrant Toshiko, I know I did. I know boys like him. I know he'll leave me one day. They never stay." You tried not to look at her, knowing she was looking at you with pity.
"Even if he does leave one day though," you dragged your eyes up to watch him on the court, his eyes immediately finding yours with a proud smile after landing a particularly perfect practice serve. A smile carved its way onto your own lips, "I can't help it."
You looked at your friend and her features were softer now as she watched you. "I'm so goddamn head over heels in love with Oikawa Tooru."
