A jealous reserve course student spreads a rumour about Kaede cheating on Shuichi with a picture of Natsumi kissing her current romantic partner while wearing one of Kaede's dresses.
It got everyone gossiping except the Ultimate students because even the ones that don't know Kaede that well know that the pianist would never cheat on her boyfriend.
This leads to most of the ultimates debating whether the beloved blonde is being set up by an evil clone or she has a secret twin.
That is fucking hilarious, and TOTALLY how Kaede would be outed as a Kuzuryu
Also technically Kaede would have a secret twin. I bet Celeste put money on the secret twin option.
quick note: I headcanon Kaede is neurodivergent so that will play a part in the story. with sensory over load.
Kaede was passing by the reserve course to pick Chiaki and Mahiru up, and totally not check on her twin. While it was pretty well known that the pianist had better ears than most people, it seemed the reserve course hadn't received that news. As she could hear their whispers as she passed by.
"Is that her?"
"I think so. I can't beleive someone so sweet looking would cheat."
"I mean have you seen her boyfriend? Can you blame her?" That comment earned a glare from Kaede, one signature to her family.
Who do they think they are!? Me? Cheat? On Shu? He may have self-esteem issues, but other than that he's the best boyfriend ever! Kaede's steps became very aggressive and stompy.
"Everything ok?" Chiaki asked looking up from her game. Hajime waved nervously to the main course student.
"People think I'm cheating on Shu!" Kaede stomped immaturely. Hajime blinked.
"What? But like, you two are one of the most sickeningly sweet, couples in either course?" Hajime interrupted.
"Honestly I have a good idea who it was. This guy confessed to me last week, claiming to have been a fan of mine for the longest time, but I turned him down since, you know, Shu."
"Maybe he mistook you for someone else," Mahiru said dragging Sato behind her.
"I hate to mention it, since Natsumi is literally the worse..." Sato suggested. "I'm pretty sure the rumor says Kaede's cheating with Natumi's most recent hookup."
"Oh! You two do look really similar from behind!" Mahiru agreed. "When we first met I totally thought you were Natsumi trying to mess with me! You two could pass for twins if you tried."
Kaede tried to shrug the comment off, but Hajime in particular didn't miss the slight flinch at the 'twin' comment.
"It's probably why Fuyuhiko is nicer to you than most people." Chiaki yawned.
"He's nice to Peko too!" Kaede defended. Chiaki and Mahiru both stared at Kaede with a 'We all know why he treats her nicely' look. "Yeah, if he were any more obvious there would be a neon sign."
"And Peko would probably still miss it." Mahiru joked.
"Why don't you talk to Natsumi? She can confirm if the girl kissing the guy was her or not?" Hajime suggested. Everyone else seemed in agreement except...
"There's no need! I'm sure things will work themselves out!" Kaede tried to stop. Mahiru's gaze softened.
"Kaede, I know the Kuzuryu family can be scary, but you'll have everyone in 77-A and B backing you up!" Mahiru grabbed her hands.
"I'll get Fuyuhiko to invite Natsumi to lunch tomorrow." CHiaki helped.
and thus Kaede's fate was sealed.
------
Somehow class 78 got roped into the 'Clear Kaede's name team'.
Shuichi squeezed Kaede's hand. He could tell she was nervous and knew that the whole 'cheating' rumor had bugged her, even if everyone knew it was just a rumor.
"I can't believe that degenerate spread a rumor because you said no! I'll kick his ass!" Tenko shouted.
"I can see how the rumor started though," Rantaro stated. "I mean, Kaede wears a dress just like that a lot so seeing another blond of similar height and build from behind in it? I would've had to do a double take."
Peko merely nodded, not saying anything, and rubbed Kaede's back. While she knew why inviting Natsumi was making Kaede nervous she couldn't do anything to stop it. She could just sit here and help try to calm her.
Fuyuhiko and Natsumi entered the room.
"What the fuck is everyone doing here?" He groaned. Kokichi immediately started causing trouble.
"WOW! If I didn't know any better I'd think you were Kayayde's twin! Do you want to be my evil queen too? You'd certainly fi-"
"Move asshole." Natsumi pushed her way past Kokichi. "I can't believe you hang out with people like this." She said to Fuyuhiko. "It's bad enough you're in a class with that loser," SHe nodded toward Mahiru who glared. "But this is a new low."
"My, my, genetics are a very curious thing!" Kiyo circled Natsumi who seemed off put. "I can see why people confused you for my class rep."
"Mistaken fo-" finally Natsumi connected the dots. She had heard a rumor about one of the Detectives in the main course getting cheated on. And she had borrowed Kaede's dress the other day.
That's why Fuyuhiko's class rep insisted he invited her to lunch today. They were confronting her because they thought she was trying to ruin Kaede's life. She looked at Kaede who seemed to be a nervous wreck about everything; the rumor, being outed...
If these people weren't truly looking out for Kaede's best interest she was about to lose all her friends. And there was nothing Natsumi could do to protect her.
"Sorry about them all." A rather stylish boy approached Natsumi, gently pushing Kiyo and Kokichi to the side. "We do want to have lunch with you, we just need a small favor."
"I don't do favors." Natsumi looked passed him.
"YOu owe Kaede one! You nearly ruined her relationship!" Mahiru shouted. "And this isn't the first time someone mistook you for each other!"
"Green and purple are two different colors. It's not my fault people didn't do a double take." Natsumi's normal bite wasn't in her words.
"You're hiding something," Celeste stated. "Kokichi and I noticed the minute you walked in."
"I don't owe you punks anythi-" Soon she was bombarded with different people threatening or begging, all to try and get her to clear Kaede's name from the rumor. And finally, she broke as she watched sensory overload take over Kaede and the onset of a meltdown. "Oh shit!" She pushed past everyone and covered Kaede's ears. "Where are your headphones? In your bag? Where is it?"
"I dunno," Kaede mumbled. "I feel itchy and I can't breath."
"Ok.. Ok..." Natsumi looked around, locking eyes with Shuichi, who she only recognized through Kaede's description. "Where's her bag?"
"Over by the wall..." Shuichi nodded he didn't look like he wanted to leave Kaede in such a state.
"She'll be fine, but she needs her headphones so she can regulate the sound in the area," Natsumi explained. Shuichi blinked but nodded and ran over. Fuyuhiko ran over with a water bottle handing it to Kaede.
"It's ok, we got you." Fuyuhiko gently soothed. No one knew his voice could get that soft.
Oh. oh.
That little lightbulb in everyone's heads went off. And Mahiru realized why Kaede seemed nervous.
"Anyone else curious how the sperm and egg factory that spit out fuckin' Baby GodFather somehow also produced lil miss 'Perfect'?" Miu interrupted to mood.
Everyone let Kaede regulate herself before they asked too many questions.
"So... I guess introductions are in order," Kaede spoke as if she hadn't had a meltdown 15 minutes ago. "Everyone I'd like you to meet my Twin sister Natsumi... Who is no longer allowed to borrow my outfits."
"I'm going to kill the motherfucker that started that rumor!"

SDR2 guys x intimidating looking but sweet S/O
Hajime Hinata:
·      You had been Hajimeâs best friend for as long as he could remember. You were always so smart and the top in your class. Truthfully Hajime expected you to be invited to Hopeâs Peak, but⊠you were always rambunctious. As smart as you were, you didnât care for rules that existed outside ones of safety. You were labeled the school delinquent, getting into fights, breaking most rules for the sake of breaking them, doing whatever you could to get a reaction from others, all the while smiling and laughing away having the time of your life.
·      âAh! Hajime! Thatâs amazing!â âY/N!?â You scooped him into your arms, lifting off his feet, spinning around and around. âMY boy, going to HOPEâS PEAK ACADEMY! This is amazing!â Suddenly your spinning came to a stop, stomping a foot on the ground to do so. âHajime. Hopeâs Peak is far, so youâll be moving right? If thatâs the case, you better text me every day! Okay, you donât have to if you donât want too, but at least keep me informed of the big stuff like how your first day was or the school festival or at least the sports day! Or, OR! If youâd like, maybe I could move with you, somewhere close to the school and Iâll just get a job in the area so you could just talk to me in person! I would visit, but even by train itâs a two-day trip and Iâd probably get board at some point and get kicked off, and thereâs also studying for school or work or whatever I do.â A light pink dusted Hajimeâs cheeks, feeling a bit flustered at how excited you were, still effortlessly him closely, high off the ground. He swore his heart began to race seeing your absolutely beaming smile which seemed to shine brighter than the sun to him.
·      When with his friends heâd speak of you often, not to the point of annoyance, just enough for them to know he clearly missed you. From how he described you, you seemed to be the sweetest, most wholesome person in existence despite being a bit rowdy. So when Kazuichi caught Hajime holding hands and appearing to be going on a date with a person covered in scars exposed by your unbuttoned shirt, haired dyed a bright blond, scary tattoos, spiked jacket and boots, even having a mask covering you face, nobody believed him till Hajime walked in on the conversation, saying that was you. After that they insisted on meeting you, wanting to know such a seemingly contrasting person existed, and when they did meet you, they gave Hajime their approval, even if he didnât want or need it.
   Izuru Kamakura:
·      Many things Izuru found boring, but if he had to choose one thing he found more boring than anything else, itâd have to be the baseless rumors surrounding you, his partner, all because you had a scary face. It was so ridiculous he couldnât even entertain the idea of you secretly being the heir of a yakuza gang or something so off the wall even he couldnât recall. Whenever he heard such rumors as he walked down Hopeâs Peakâs halls, he thought he may just fall asleep from how tiring it was, thinking about the mental gymnastics people had to go through to even come to such conclusions.
·      It was another day and again he heard of your imaginary exploits of having killed a man in cold blood for money or some such and instantly he just felt exhausted. He continued to walk till he stopped before a door and knocked. âOh, hey Izu-baby. What brings you here?â â⊠I just found myself here.â You chuckled, simply opening the door, taking your boyfriendâs hand and leading him in.
·      You promptly plopped him into a seat, going off to get something, Izuru had the chance to examine the many brushes, hair products and hair accessories spread out on the counter. There were even several sticky notes on the edges of the large vanity mirror, neat writing noting some appointments you had. Seems like he had come in when you were cleaning between appointments. âI found a new brush and I think it should work well with your thick long hair.â You placed your a hand on one of the back rest corners of the chair, leaning a little over him, smiling as you held said brush before him. âThen test it.â
·      You giddily collected his hair, your touch occasionally grazing across his skin. Your hands though covered in cuts, slightly dyed from all your hair styling work, and probably tired from having worked for almost six hours straight according to the sticky notes, they still were ever so gentle, making sure to not get caught on or pull any knots. Then you began to brush, starting from the bottom and working your way up. âIzuru, you have a few split ends, and itâs been a while, mind if I give you a light trim while I have you here?â âYou have an appointment in forty-three minuets.â âHmm⊠Yeah, I can get this done in time.â Once you reached the top you gave his hair a few extra strokes from top to bottom, making sure you got everything. âOh, I also found a new shampoo which can help your hair. Itâs still so dull, but at this point it might be because of your diet since I canât seem to find anything that can work for you. Have you been eating? Has the staff been testing you on talents again and not feeding you?â âNo.â You were going to ponder for a moment, to try figuring out what your boyfriendâs problem could be when said boyfriend placed a hand on your cheek, lightly pulling you beside him. Closing his eyes, he leaned in and kissed you on the cheek. âYouâre so exhausted you forgot we spoke of this very subject yesterday.â âHuh?â Your entire face flushed a bright red, still unused to Izuruâs sparce displays of affection. Then to your confusion he pulled you onto his lap. âI-Izu-baby?â âYou are taking a nap.â For some reason in that moment of seeing you so flustered he recalled the rumors. The thought of you even harming a fly was laughable, you were the absolute sweetest, kindest, caring person he had ever met. Holding you close he simply leaned into you, thinking you could both use a nap together.
   Nagito Komaeda:
·      You made your own rumors. The ones about you secretly being an assassin, you started it. The one about how you once were an international thief, you did it. The one about you selling drugs, that one was actually an accident, you were just getting a friend their pain meds, but you spread about a few more stories like it not long after. Why purposefully spread rumors many would wonder⊠well⊠there were two reasons.
·      The first, you found most people annoying and simply didnât want to deal with them, content with your small, very close friend group. It was the perfect way to get people to back off so you wouldnât have to deal with them in their first place. You also found some fun in seeing people run from you from your presents alone, made you feel like some cartoon super villain which you found quite amusing.
·      The second reason⊠You had always told your boyfriend the first one, but to his confusion, youâd always avoid telling him the other reason. Nagito knew youâd had to have your reasons for not telling him, but⊠well you were his partner, of course he was going to worry a little even if it seemed you knew what you were doing.
·      But he could ignore it no longer when you took the blame for him. Nagito came up with a plan to blow up a building, forcing the exams to be delayed so his classmates could have more time to prepare for them⊠and you took for the blame for it, being expelled for a time, but not forever. You couldnât even stay on your dorm on campus, winding up staying in some cheap hotel paid by the school.
·      âWhy did you do it?â âEh, Nagito?â âWHY! Why did you take the blame for me!? I was trying to get you more time so you could show off in glory, but now youâre stuck here. Why did you do it?â Nagito was always so calm and composed, likely from facing disaster after disaster caused by his bad luck, but he was actually troubled, he was upset, but not even at himself like he always did thinking himself trash, no, he was legitimately upset with you. â⊠Normally people greet their partner with a âhelloâ or something.â The last thing you were expected to be greeted by your first morning exiled from school was your boyfriend in such a state. âI- No. Y/N, tell me, why?â â⊠IâŠâ You couldnât tear your eyes away from him, this new side you had never even thought existed, yet you also couldnât bear to look at him either so instead you looked to his feet. âI donât want to lie to you, but⊠I donât want to tell you the truth either. But! What I can tell you, is that this is fine, I chose this, I wanted this. So, you donât have to worry about me, this just means I have even more time to develop my talent.â You tried giving him a smile, but it just ended up strained seeing that didnât placate him. W-why? He always saw everything ultimates did was amazing and respected even the worst of decisions, yet⊠he was mad, and sad, and so many other things you couldnât pinpoint not being able to bring yourself to study his expression for long.
·      âNo, this is not fine. What you did is not helping you. This is only a detriment. I-I-I, I just canât understand! I canât understand why. How did this turn out so wrong?â â⊠the other reason.â âHuh?â You spoke so quietly, it was but a whisper, Nagito had just barely caught it. âThe other reason⊠Itâs why I NEED a bad reputation, not just something I want for the fun of it.â You sighed, preparing for the inevitable Nagito calling himself trash and you trying to comfort him song and dance. âYouâre such a volatile wild card. I never know what youâll do next. Nagito, you literally tried to blow up a building with people inside, I know your luck probably would have saved them or something or you assumed the ultimates inside would save the day, but⊠thatâs not healthy! Youâve been through so much and need help. I, I want to help you, but I just donât know what to do. So⊠to me, the best I can do is try to protect you.â Even as his eyes widened, realizing what happened, you continued. âWith a bad reputation, rumors of all sorts, both extreme and little, it can be expected that I can do anything without it being out of character. I can take on anyoneâs bad actions and call it my own and all will believe it⊠Even if I canât protect you from the insanity that is our life, the very least I can do is protect you from yourself, the consequences of your actions. I canât get you to at last see yourself as decent, I canât stop your luck from torturing you, this⊠this is all I can think of for what I could ever do for you⊠itâs the only kind of affection I can give without you saying or thinking youâre unworthy of it⊠though I guess I donât even have that now, but⊠I donât know, maybe this was-â
·      âŠ
·      He hugged you. He didnât know what to say. He took in everything you said, yet his mind was just blank. He had so much to say, yet he just could⊠All he could do was just nuzzle into you, one who was just so sweet and kind, and⊠he needed to better for you, Nagito at least new that for sure.
   Imposter:
·      Imposter wondered how they ever were lucky enough to find a partner like you. They never thought theyâd find anyone who could get them to see themselves as a person even without the disguises, let alone a whole class at one point. Yes, they still disguised themselves, but when they were just with you they felt okay to not keep the make-up, wigs and costumes. They were just⊠whoever they were without being someone else. Their own identity was something they still struggled with but working on it with your helped.
·      Individuals who could stay true to themselves no matter what were people they respected highly, that was probably what got them to fall for you in the first place. No matter who avoided you, the children who cried from seeing your large, buff figure, no matter the sports nuts who insisted on you joining their team, you always were the shy Super High School Level Flower Shop Keep who loved exercising.
·      When they first met you, they were masquerading as Beyakuya Togami, not exactly the most sociable of personalities, so they thought they scared you away. When first meeting a person you didnât speak much, instead youâd gift flowers and spoke through flower language. âOh, well⊠thereâs a lot you can say with flowers. Iâve just always liked them. I just like being outside, so I exercise a lot! But then I got toned, and already being on the bulkier side some people find me scary⊠Ah, but if I give the children flowers, they usually stop crying⊠unless a bee comes by, then they cry again.â Even though you were so soft spoken when you did speak, it was still rather intimidating. There was just so much power in it.
·      They rather enjoyed how youâd decorate them with your beloved plants, whether it be placing them behind their ear, in their hair, or in their breast pocket. They also adored each bouquet you gave. Very quickly their whole dorm room smelled of fast-food and a light floral perfume. They pressed and kept every last flower, preserving them all even the ones from when you first met.
·      You were so open and honest, even though you tried hiding it they knew when you had a crush on them- or well Beyakuya⊠They had no identity outside of whoever they were impersonating, but⊠the thought made their heart ache. So, when you came up to them with giant bouquet filled with tulips, purple roses, red roses, alstroemerias, and babyâs breath they could easily see even as you hid it behind your back, a bright blush on your cheeks, they knew what was happening, and rejected you before you could give them the flowers and confess. You hugged the bouquet close as they explained their situation, and even after, you still held out the flowers to them. âSo, your identity is more complex than I knew, but all our time together still happened. And if you change identities, itâll be like a change in color. Definitely different, even changing the meaning, but the base is still the same, youâll still remember our time together even as someone else.â And since that moment, no matter what came, you never left them.
   Gundham Tanaka:
·      The moment Gundham met the Super High School Level Vet, Gundham fell head over heels for them. They were an intimidating, brutish, scarred from battles past, every last feature was terrifying, their features sharp, everything about them commanded the respect of all, even getting his Dark Devas to be weary of them at first sight.
·      Caring for animals was a tricky job, it often involved getting scratches and bites, but you also needed to be patient and kind. You needed to be respected but also not appear hostile. A balance you embodied, looking fierce, yet you were so gentle and sensitive to others around you.
·      The pair of you always spent time looking after his many animals, tending to any injuries or illnesses they possibly could have gotten.
·      You also tended to Gundham Tanaka himself, much to his flustered, blushing protest. âI have no such injures of which you speak!â âTanaka, you canât even hold a pencil you hand is hurting so bad. Please let me at least look at it.â He kept refusing till some students came by asking if he were alright, fearing the scary looking person who kept looming around him all day. âPathetic! Of such a low level you canât even decern oneâs true nature!â Then he stomped off till finally he found you. âMy Emperor!â âHey Tana-â âI seek thy aid, for only one of your caliber could even remotely stand a chance of resisting my poisoned skin, let alone tent to the curse that plagues this mortal form!â You just silently stared at him for a moment before you started fussing over him, clutching his jacket since you wanted to hug him. âWhat happened!? Did it get worse!? Tell me EVERYTHING about how you feel! Do you think itâs infected!? How does it hurt!? Does it sting or burn, or what!?â Gundham himself began to panic, unsure as to how to calm and put you at ease, never before seeing you worried to the point of tears forming in the corners of your eyes! However, you did quickly settle down, getting serious tending to his woundâŠ
·      And even as you did so, you avoided touching him. If you needed to apply ointment, youâd use a q-tip, youâd do anything you could to not touch him⊠Even you tending to him sent his heart racing, showing vulnerability, he was used to giving the care, not the other way around. He felt vulnerable in a way, he showed you he was hurting, but you were so gentle with him, so aware of him, even stopping and giving him a moment to pause and collect himself.
·      Someone so attentive and understanding⊠He groaned, embarrassed at how giddy, and excited, and nervous even the mere thought of you made him.
   Kazuichi Soda:
·      He was terrified of you at first, even going so far as to actively avoid you. But then he met you. The moment he did so he was so confused as to how he found you scary? After actually taking to you, he found you, looks and all so adorable! Heâd gush to anyone and everyone about how kind and amazing and sweet you were. Heâd defend you to the death if a person even made the smallest negative comment about you, much to your complete embarrassment.
·      After becoming your boyfriend Kazuichi would always hang around you, cooing over everything that was you, shattering any intimidating precents you had with the man hugging your arm, speaking in such a sickeningly sweet tone with sparkling eyes.
·      Feeling like the world was against you, Kazuichi spent all his time with you to make up for it. No matter how many times you told him he didnât have to he insisted on giving you all the affection you so rightly deserve!
·      When you werenât embarrassed by the manâs antics youâd be just as affectionate in return. As he tinkered on whatever youâd hug him from behind, sighing, and nuzzling into the nape of his neck, tickling him, distracting him from his work. Heâd giggle, giddy out of his mind at having someone so sweet and adorable love him almost as much as he loved you!
·      If Kazuichi caught even one person giving you a funny look, heâd just hug and snuggle you with a pout, glaring at others.
·      âKazu, you donât have to defend me from everyone. I know Iâm not exactly the most approachable looking.â âWhat!? No! You are gorgeous! Adorable! Beautiful! Donât self-deprecate yourself!â âIâm not, I just⊠I know youâre affectionate, but you donât have to be so protective, I appreciate it, but you donât have to do this every time. I just want you to enjoy yourself not feel like you have to be my knight in shining armor or something.â âWell, I canât enjoy myself if others are being jerks!â Kazuichi would never admit it to you, but he felt guilty. He knew what it was like to be bullied, for others to make comments. He also felt guilty for judging you so much before meeting you. he was once scared with a person he instantly fell in love with after finally talking to them. He just wanted to make up for that, he wanted to say he was sorry⊠And feeling you hug him, thank him for being your knight, he was reminded all over why he loved such a sweet person so much, and he was determined to give you all the love he could to make up from being so cruel before.
   Teruteru Hanamura: part 1
·      Teru had a rather interesting relationship with the new delivery person. You werenât mean, but your whole aura was rather intimidating with your cold demeanor and with how muscular you were. Yet of all people, you were warm and kind to him. You merrily chat about your day, or about anything. Youâd get a laugh out of his flirting, even try and miserably fail at flirting back, something Teru found endlessly endearing. Whatever made Teru special he honestly didnât care, just enjoying your company so much.
·      After your hard work, well hard for most but for you it was just seemingly light stretches, Teru would cook a hearty meal for you to keep you going for the rest of the day! It was his favorite thing to do before opening the restaurant, just that single quiet moment of enjoying a meal with you.
·      Teru could find something attractive about anyone, but with you⊠well you were certainly attractive, a stallion, a ten out of ten to him, but he found he so quickly grew feelings for you. True a personâs personality or voice could be sexy but there was something different about it with you. But whatever it was, didnât matter to him, all he knew was that he just wanted to spend more time with you, and whatever you did together didnât matter to him, as long as you were together.
·      You sighed, taking another bite. âIs something the matter?â âIâm just going to miss this.â âWhat?â You didnât even glance his way, simply continuing to enjoy your meal. âYeah, I gotta move soon. Iâve actually stayed here much longer than I should, but⊠I just couldnât resist sticking around longer âcause of you⊠again.â âAh, well⊠thatâs too bad. Itâs been rather fun having you around.â âItâll be alright. I know youâll be fine without me. Actually, Iâd like to ask you to make a promise to forget me.â âForget you!? How in tarn- AH I- Ahem- How could I do that!?â You simply smiled and laughed, just as you did before. You placed a hand on his cheek, gently caressing him with your thumb. âYouâre the only person I can call a friend. I know you can keep this promise, thatâs just the kind of person you are. Sure, youâre a bit raunchy, but you truly are kind and care for others. You could never let me feel guilty about leaving you behind.â Teru was silent for a moment, just taking in what you said. âWhen will you be leaving?â âUh⊠I should say tomorrow, but Iâm thinking a week.â A week? Teru could work with that!
·      âPlease go on a date with me!â â⊠Huh?â In complete bafflement you just let Teruteru take your hands into his, a determined glint in his eyes. âIf youâll be leaving I want to make the most of the time we have left!â ââŠoh⊠uh⊠o-okay, we could do that.â
·      And so, the week was filled with date after date, going all out with no inhibitions doing anything you could think of from watching a movie to sky diving. Wherever you went Teru always had a packed meal on hand for the pair of you to enjoy. It was honestly the best week of either of your lives. And all too quickly it had already passed you by.
·      Standing on the bridge in the park you stood side by side watching the sun rise. âWell, thatâs it, I better get going. I really enjoyed this, just as always. Thank you.â âNow hold on a moment, you canât go just yet!â He held out a small plastic container to you. âYou need a good meal for the road! Donât know where youâre going, but wherever it is, itâd be a downright shame if I left you hungry along the way!â You simply stared at him for a moment before the softest, most earnest of smiles he had ever seen creased your lips. So tenderly you took the container. â⊠Some things never change I suppose⊠At least I know you can still keep that promise.â Then without so much as explaining your strange words, you disappeared as if you never even were there. It was sad for Teru, yet something in him knew heâd see you again, and that thought let him go back to his everyday life as if you never appeared, yet after that life just seemed more lively to him, just like those later years back in Hopeâs Peak, though as to why that time seemed livelier he couldnât quite remember.
  Nekomaru Nidai:
·      Being a rather intimidating looking guy with a heart of gold, Nekomaru took to understanding your situation quickly. Both of you being athletic and getting rather larger builds it just kinda naturally happened.
·      Being the exceedingly kind individual you were others often took advantage of that. Even if you knew it was bad you couldnât bring yourself to not help others in need for even the smallest of things. This was not something Nekomaru could stand, but finding you standing out in the rain for two days straight was the last straw and the man insisted on training you! You were a bit nervous at first not wanting to take up so much of your best friendâs time, but with some reassurances Nekomaru managed to warm you up, both literally and metaphorically to the training.
·      At some point the training turned into days out, going hiking up mountains, or jogging on beaches, swimming in lakes and doing crossfit, sometimes going out for walks in the night, exploring the city looking for things to do, perhaps some karaoke, some slow dancing by moon light, and yeah you two just ended up dating without meaning too.
·      The pair of you always came up with excuses like the slow dancing was training in balance, no you totally did not want to dance because it was a beautiful night and you could hear ballroom music not far in the distance, no that was totally not it, thatâd be dumb⊠or so you kept telling yourself in these moments so you would not confess to the man fearing he really did only see these outings as training and nothing else.
·      That was till you overheard Nekomaru chatting with his classmates, one of them asking how his âdateâ with you went and he spoke of your beautiful hike up the mountains, not even batting an eye at their wording. Did⊠did he not notice, or just not care? Did this mean he liked you too? Or did you mishear? Quickly getting frustrated with this line of thinking you decided to just settle this!
·      âThere you are-â âI have something to tell you!â The man silently stood there, just waiting. Okay, this was it, and you took a deep breath. âI⊠I REALLY LIKE YOU!â âI REALLY LIKE YOU TOO! YOU ARE A CHERISHED FRIEND OF MINE!â âNO, I MEAN- I-I-I LOVE YOU, I THINK!? I DONâT KNOW!â âI LOVE YOU TOO, A LOT IN FACT!â âN-NOT AS MUCH AS I LOVE YOU!â âOH YEAH!?â âYES! SO MUCH!â
·      Screaming your feelings for one another was a very common occurrence in the relationship. Even if one of you simply caught sight of the other off in the distance youâd yell âI love youâs, which more often than not scared or startled the people around you hearing such loud, booming voices out of nowhere.
·      Life with Nekomaru could be a bit much at times, but it was well worth it for such an amazing guy.
   Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu:
·      You were perfect for him.
·      You didnât have any reputation really, but wherever you went people knew not to mess with you. Your mere presents not much but if one got close, they could feel this unsettling air about you making them go away. You, being the Super High School Level Street Fighter knew how to defend yourself from most attackers so Fuyuhiko didnât have to worry about your safety like heâd have to with most others like the majority of his old classmates like Hajime.
·      You were also the most kind and sweet person he had met. Behind closed doors youâd always have you arms open for Fuyuhiko. Youâd hold him close, just let him listen to your steady heartbeat and make him feel so safe and secure. His favorite thing was to just cuddle with you.
·      He also liked you being by his side, it served a dual purpose. One: if somehow when meeting some rival gang his reputation didnât precede him, you were enough to intimidate them at a glance, despite his own baby face. The second and much more important to him, just being with you. True you were well equipped to handle yourself, but you were still human can had come back home to him plenty of times with new scars not from your usual fights, so by your side he and Peko could protect you.
·      He also liked how you were with his subordinates. You were strict, showing no signs of weakness, more than willing to put them in their place should it be needed, yet that didnât stop you from being kind. Youâd do research for days on end trying to find the perfect birthday gift them. Youâd train their kids by hand in all ways of fighting, but not for attacking but self-defense, their parents were in a dangerous job so your âday jobâ of being a childrenâs fighting instructor helped to place their minds at ease a little.
·      If he could heâd go on for hours singing your praises. You were perfect for him in every single way without a single doubt.

Please PLEASE go into detail about how protective he is over Chiaki!! I literally am begging to finally hear someone else actually acknowledge their friendship/relationship especially after having to deal with a pretty toxic anti-bi/pan Nagito rper I was on a server with for a good part of a year! (Sorry went kinda ranty but hopefully my anguish is understandable!)
Oh my lord, youâre giving me a chance to shine with my fixations?! I canât thank you enough! Now, please understand that this is based on my perception of the series as Iâve played through the second game twice. Iâm pretty good when it comes to being the person who has unpopular opinions and ships and I know claiming that Nagito is bi/pan/Demi is probably one of them. But honestly, it comes from the desire to see this boy get as much love as possible. Because he sure needs it.
Ultimately, Nagitoâs sexuality is never canonly specified, so I think whether gay, bisexual, Pansexual, or what have you, weâre all well within our rights to just have fun and see what we want to in a really flawed and relatable character. And thatâs what makes it interesting.
That being said, letâs talk about Nagito and Chiaki. Friendship or romantic, I donât think you can deny that Chiaki is at least special to Nagito in some way.
Upon replaying the second game, Iâve realized how protective Nagito actually is towards Chiaki interestingly enough.
In chapter 2, she leaves to go question Fuyuhiko but Nagito stops her and tells her not to let Fuyuhiko get rough with her. Every time Chiakiâs skills help them advance, he deeply praises her. Even after heâs stopped praising all the others (which he does mostly after Chapter one, hinting he does not like some of them as actual people). But for some reason, especially during the trials, Nagito is quick to jump in and mention how wonderful Chiaki is and compliment her (only to be usually cut off by someone when he starts to ramble).
It should also be noted that Chiaki and Nagito both share an appreciation for games. Nagito seems to like more luck-based games for obvious reasons, but he also mentions that like Chiaki, he likes the Twilight Syndrome series. Both of them similarly state that they felt Monokuma was butchering a favorite game of theirs.
They also both have an odd way of trying to cheer Hajime up and joke with him, the examples shown coincidentally beside one another. Chiaki says sheâs gonna look for a dirty book, throwing Hajime off and Nagito âjokinglyâ tells Hajime to lick his boots and now to him, but Hajime is extremely put off when he claims it was a joke. These oddballs get each other in the weirdest of ways is what Iâm saying. Theyâre both incredibly antisocial, but their hearts are reaching the same place too when they try to make an effort.
In chapter 4, when Chiaki teams up with Nagito and Kazuichi, then leaves because theyâre both being clingy, Nagito quickly follows and chases after her to make sure sheâs okay. Then he chastised her for running off, looking deeply concerned. Even after his attitude change, he will answer her more directly and not ignore her. When she tells him to be quiet, he politely obeys... or maybe itâs because heâs deep in thought about her motives as he mentions he was watching the trial carefully to decide on who the traitor is.
I may just be mentioning this because theyâre my OTP, but if you know about their school time together and pay attention to Nagitoâs Hope versus Chiakiâs Hope, I think itâs fascinating.
Okay, now letâs head into Danganronpa 3 territory. Now this is the part where I am the most shaky as Iâm still trying to determine what I take canon from this series. The thing is, a friend who got me into the series informed me that the production was way rushed and that Kodaka never wanted to do the anime in the first place. But! That being said, Chiaki and Nagito have some great moments in this and the anthology comics along with it, so letâs get into some stuff.
First of all, Nagito warmly mentions that Chiaki being their class rep makes her the true Hope of their class. And you can tell heâs serious because as heâs saying it, heâs doing that thing where heâs staring at his hand desperately like he wants eat it. You know the look.
Moving on, itâs clear that aside from Chisa, Chiaki is the only one to value and treasure Nagito. And this makes sense. In her own dying words, she loves her classmates. They are the world to her. All of them. And of course, she loves Nagito too with all her heart. As evidenced as she cradled him protectively in her arms while heâs injured. At first when Chiaki and the others are determined to stand up to Junko and get their teacher back, Nagito pleads with Chiaki not to. That his luck could not overcome them. He knows they canât win in this situation and I do think he was actually trying to talk Chiaki out of it. But of course, when Chiaki pushes back and says she wants to go anyways, he literally canât help himself when it comes to wanting to see Hope shine. So he agrees and praises her again because of course he does.
Until it all leads to the Pain Train with Despair coming out on top. Chiaki is brutally slaughtered and we see something new from Nagito. He breaks down crying. Tears are streaming madly down his face as a forced and twisted smile appears on his lips. He even beseeches Chiakiâs name. âYou understand right? You know youâre a stepping stone for Hope!â âWhat has been done to Nanami is unforgivable...â Nagitoâs already trying to cope. To rationalize something horrible that he just witnessed in his mind. Heâs trying to protect himself as heâs utterly being destroyed and breaking down like all of his classmates. Chiakiâs death literally shatters his mind. Itâs a pretty well done scene even if Iâm not a big fan of the brainwashing stuff. Not to mention, the way he says âYou understand right, Nanami?â As if heâs begging for her forgiveness as he falls apart. Itâs so very very tragic. And of course, when being made apart of the Neo World Program, his desire to see Chiaki once more, just one more time like his classmates, brings her back to him(and the other classmates) in AI form.
Honestly... itâs pretty beautiful. Chiaki is apart of Nagito in some way and is imprinted into his mind and heart. He longed to see her as much as everyone else. This person, who doesnât seek out relationships because his luck either gets them killed or he finds their Hope to be too weak, has a connection with Chiaki like that. This is literally a person who believes his life is just a stepping stone for better and more worthy people, someone who knows their existence is a formality at this point. And still, he does have connections. There are people capable of caring about him and loving him and Chiaki was one of those people. And he wanted to see her again in the Neo World Program. Like Chiaki said, itâs no less than miracle.
But alas, this is getting rather long, isnât it? Well in the D3 anthology, Nagito also is concerned when Chiaki avoids eating because of her hyperfixation on gaming. Chiaki skipping out on self care?! Not cool, Chiaki. And so he challenges her to a game to make sure sheâll eat lunch. Fucking protective as hell. And yes yes, the anthology isnât canon... but thatâs the thing about Danganronpa. The series is over. Any additional info and stuff added to it is meant to enrich the experience for the fandom, so itâs canon to me. Whatâs the fandom gonna do? Whine at me and tell me it isnât? That Nagito wouldnât do these things when official anthologies and content thatâs sold for Danganronpa tells me he would? So... yeah.
Ultimately, whether you ship them or not, I think this fandom is missing out on the Komanami side of things and how good their relationship is when you really observe it. :3

â” as tooruâs younger sister, falling in love with iwaizumi hajime was easy. iwaizumi ultimately decided to rebuff you. through a few strange twists of fate, youâve ended up living with the very boy whoâd broken your heart. but, perhaps itâs not as bad as you thought itâd be. he is the perfect gentleman, after all.Â

You peered at yourself in the mirror, doing your best to not crinkle your makeup.
Itâd been a while since youâd bothered to dress up this nicely.
You were just wearing a simple yet flattering black dress, offset by your favourite shade of red lipstick. You werenât sure if you actually looked good, or if it was just nicer than anything else youâd worn that week.
Youâd sent a photo to Amaya, but upon receiving her affirmation you started to doubt the authenticity of it. Not that sheâd given you reason to; no, youâd just decided that she was far too supportive to trust for an objective opinion.
You sighed, tilting your head to the side as you looked at the mirror.
Whatever, you thought. Thisâll just have to do.
âIâm ready!â You called out, slipping into the front room after grabbing your handbag. Â
âGive me a moment,â Iwaizumi called out. The tinniness of his voice implied that he was still in the bathroom. Â
You sighed, taking a moment to check the contents of your bag. Phone, wallet, lipstick, mirror⊠Thatâs all youâd need, right?
âYou got everything?â Iwaizumi asked, almost as if heâd appeared out of nowhere.
âMhm!â You smiled, looking up at him.
You wondered, for a moment, if there was something on your face.
He was staring at you, his eyes a little wider and rounder than usual.
You tilted your head at him. âEverything okay?â
âUh, yeah.â He blinked at you for a second, as if your words had shocked him back to the present moment. His eyes scanned your body slowly before lingering on your face again. âYou look good.âÂ
You hoped your foundation masked the heat rising in your cheeks.
Itâs frustrating, how hot he looked without even trying. He was just in a black button up (the top few buttons undone, of course) and a pair of jeans, and yet he looked like that. Heâd barely done anything to his hair, either; just a bit of gel, from the looks of things.
âAre you ready to go?â He asked, finally breaking the excruciating silence.
âYeah,â you nodded. Stupid Iwaizumi Hajime with his stupid face and his stupid black button up and his stuck jeans and his stupidâ
âIâll drive,â he said, patting his jean pocket.
âOh, are you sure?â You asked. âYou donât want to drink?â
âItâs fine. Someoneâs got to keep an eye on you,â he grinned, throwing you a wink.
âHey!â You whined. âYou havenât even seen me drunk!â
âOh, so you do intend on getting drunk then?â He chuckled, heading for the apartment door.
You gaped for a moment, searching for a comeback. âWell, youâre the one who said that uni parties are for getting shit-faced.â
âThat doesnât mean you should get shit-faced, though.â
You rolled your eyes as you followed him. âWhatever you say, dad.â

You hadnât known what to expect from your first visit to a rooftop bar, but suffice to say you were impressed. When youâd asked Iwaizumi how the club had the budget to book somewhere this nice, heâd just shrugged.
âA lot of Japanese students, I guess,â was his only explanation.
Upon paying twenty-five dollars to officially âjoinâ at the door, you started to formulate a strong theory as to just where the club was getting its money.
There were far more people here than youâd anticipated. You knew it would be big, you hadnât expected it to be this big. People were packed in like the clothes in your wardrobe, barely giving each other room to breathe. It was a sea of completely unrecognisable faces â and yet, seeing all these people who looked and sounded like you made you feel a little more at ease.
The music â which seems to be a mix of songs you donât recognized â thumped loudly throughout the area. You wondered if thereâd be any noise complaints.
Iwaizumi led you to the bar, managing to find two seats. You werenât entirely sure how; you mostly chalked it up to the providence of God.
âIâm just going to go to the toilet, okay?â Iwaizumi said. âYouâll be alright on your own for a second, right?â
You nodded. âDonât worry about me!â
Iwaizumi gave you a look as if to say âthatâs impossible.â
You fought the urge to stick your tongue out at him. That would only elucidate his point.
After a few more moments of staring (under which you thought you were going to crumble to dust), Iwaizumi eventually disappeared into the crowd.
You sighed, placing your hands in your lap.
In all honesty, you didnât know what to do. You felt it only right to stay where you were, mostly to avoid giving Iwaizumi a heart attack should he come back and see you werenât there. But, you didnât have the confidence to order a drink, either. Or get the bartenderâs attention.
âHey.â
A voice that somehow managed to make itself heard over the music startled you out of your thoughts.
You whipped your head round, only to see a guy youâd never met before sitting in Iwaizumiâs seat. He had soft features framed by a strong chin and wavy brown hair. If you had to guess, youâd say he was around your age.
âHey,â you said automatically, relieved at the fact that heâd greeted you in Japanese.
âYou speak Japanese?â He smiled.
âYouâd assume so,â you smiled back. âSeeing as Iâm here and all.â You gestured to the room around you. Underneath the music, you could make out a bubble of conversation â most of which was Japanese.
âHey, a lot of second-gen immigrants donât necessarily learn the language,â he shrugged. His entire demeanour was so⊠good-natured. So polite. Even if he had taken a seat without asking.
âOh, really?â You hadnât known that. Albeit, it wasnât really something youâd thought about too much.
âMhm,â he nodded. âI mean, thatâs what my friend told me.â
âAh,â you said.
âIâm Kohei, by the way,â he gave you a little nod.
You returned it as you introduced yourself.
âNice to meet you,â he grinned. âWhat year are you in?â
âFirst,â you said. âI only got here a couple of weeks ago.â
âOh!â His face lit up. âMe too!â
âReally?â
âYeah! Iâm from Tokyo!â
âAh, so youâre a city boy,â you smiled.
He blushed a little. âWell, uhâŠâ
âIâm from Miyagi,â you cut in. âAlthough, I did go to Sendai every now and then.â
âOh, I never got the chance to visit,â he smiled. âWhat made you come to America?â
âI wanted to study psychology,â you answered. âI thought the options would be better here.â
âAh,â he nodded. He had the sort of eyes that made him look like he was deeply engaged in whatever you were talking about.
âWhat about you?â You asked.
âOh, I just wanted to come here for the adventure,â he said sheepishly.
âThe âadventureâ?â You smiled, raising an eyebrow at him.
âYes,â he nodded. âI thought it would be cool. But⊠English is a bit tricky, isnât it?â
You laughed. âOh, yeahâŠâ
A squeal of your name cut through the crowd.
You turned, bewildered and a little frightened.
âHi!â Yuna beamed, throwing herself at you.
You instinctively wrapped your arms around her. From the flush in her cheeks, you could tell sheâd already had a few.
âIâm so glad you came!â She whined. âAnd you look so pretty!â
You couldnât help but laugh. âSo do you!â
Yuna whined again, drawing back to pout at you. âWhy didnât you come and find me immediately?â
âI didnât know you were here,â you laughed.
She narrowed her eyes at you. âFair enoughâŠâ Her gaze snapped to Kohei, her glare getting more intense. âAnd who is this?â
âThis is Kohei,â you said, leaving them to introduce themselves to each other.
You scanned the crowd, a frown forming. Where was Iwaizumi? Heâd been gone a while⊠Or did it only feel like a while? If Yuna dragged you away, it may be hard to find him and assure him that you were okay, because you just knew heâd be developing an aneurismâŠ
You caught sight of him. He gave you a tiny wave, an expression that looked something like relief on his face. That look alone was enough to soothe you.
Tonight was already shaping up to be a good time.
⧠⧠â§
âCan you stand?â Iwaizumi asked, watching you with an expression of disgruntled concern on his face.
âYes,â you said with far too much emphasis. You pointed at him with one very obstinate finger.
Kohei had bought you a drink, and Yuna had challenged you to a line of shots. Mei had pointed out that perhaps you shouldnât go overboard. Youâd been adamant that you knew your limit. Thatâd been a big fat lie.
âAre you sure?â He asked again, taking a step towards you.
âYes!â
As soon as you said it, you toppled left.
Iwaizumi grabbed you by your shoulders, stabilizing you.
âWhoops,â you pouted.
He sighed, releasing you. âYou alright?â
You blinked at him for a second. âIwaâŠâ
âMhm?â
âI donât think I can stand.â
Iwaizumi bit the inside of his cheek. He was trapped somewhere between annoyance and burgeoning fondness.
âAlright,â he said, standing at your side. âLet me help.â
âThank you,â you hummed, beaming at him as he leant down to drape one of your arms across his shoulders.
You leant your entire weight against him without warning.
He grunted, one arm grabbing your waist to keep you on your feet. âCareful now.â
âSorry,â you whined. âI didnât mean toâŠâ
âI know,â Iwaizumi smiled, shaking his head. âLetâs get you back to the car, alright?â
âThat is an excellent plan, Iwa. You should be proud.â
Oh, fuck, he thought. He just couldnât keep that smile off his face.
⧠⧠â§
By some miracle, he managed to get you to the car in one piece.
Even better, the drive home had been relatively uneventful. Youâd just babbled on about why Riza Hawkeye from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood was, in fact, the perfect woman. Iwaizumi had just smiled, nodding along whenever he was required to.
You still needed support getting up the stairs to your apartment; when you tried to take matters into your own hands, you always managed to trip. Â
But, finally, heâd gotten you both inside the house, your arm still draped over his shoulders and his arm still wrapped around your waist. It was, quite frankly, almost too much.
Iwaizumi sighed, opening your bedroom door with his free hand.
âBut Iwa,â you whined, pouting up with him. âI need to have a shower.â
âYou canât stand up straight,â he chuckled. âYou can have a shower in the morning.â
âBut Iâve gotta wipe my makeup off,â you droned. âOr else Iâll get a breakout.â
âHmâŠâ He scanned your room, settling on the clutter of makeup on your desk. âDo you have anything you can wash your face with?â
The idea of you trying to stabilize yourself in the shower gave him more anxiety than he was comfortable with. You shouldnât wake up with both a hangover and a concussion.
âWipes?â You blinked, pointing at your desk.
Iwaizumi took a moment to find them. He assumed it was the little green packet that didnât look familiar to him.
âThanks,â you beamed up at him as he passed them to you.
He tried his best to ignore the squeezing in his heart as he noticed how your eyes sparkled as you looked at him.
You ignored him for a moment as you dealt with your makeup.
He looked away out of respect, eyes landing on the collage of photos stuck above your desk. He ambled towards them mindlessly, gazing at the myriad of images.
There were many faces he recognized. Tooru, Amaya, your mother, Kaori⊠He realised, not without a strange sharpness in his chest, that he only featured in a single photo. It was one from his graduation; one that you were both âobligatedâ to be in.
But he knew his absence from these photos was his own doing. If he just hadnât had been such an idiot, thenâŠ
âIs it gone?â You asked.
He turned back to you, biting back a laugh. âUh⊠not quite.â
Your lipstick, which had already been in a poor state, was smeared all around your mouth, looking more like a rash. Your foundation was splotchy, some patches mostly removed and others untouched. And to top it all off, your mascara had been melted into a muddy puddle beneath your eyes.
Overall, you looked a bit like a raccoon heâd caught eating beetroots out of his garbage.
You whined, lying back on your bed.
âItâll be fine,â he chuckled. âItâs just one night.â
âNo, you donât understand,â you emphasized, âmakeup is bad for your skin.â
Iwaizumi grinned, grabbing what he assumed to be your pyjamas from the end of the bed and tossing them to you. âYouâll feel better if you change into something more comfortable.â
You glared at him from your horizontal position, the expression emphasised by a couple extra chins.
Iwaizumi left the room quickly and closed the door, making a beeline for the kitchen. He prepared you a glass of water, going through the checklist in his head of how to take care of someone well over their limit.
When he got back to your bedroom door, he was sure to knock.
He took the garbled âmhm!â he got in response as affirmation.
He opened the door slowly, peeking round the door to see you sat cross-legged on the bed with a pout. From the looks of it, youâd put your top on backwards.
His heart thumped in that terrifyingly familiar way.
âDrink this,â he mumbled, handing you the glass.
You nodded, taking it with both hands and tipping it back with ferocity.
Iwaizumi gazed at his feet while he did so, trying to smother the burgeoning fondness in his chest.
He couldnât do that again. He couldnât. It wouldnât be fair.
âIâm done!â You called out in a sing-song voice, thrusting the empty cup towards him.
âDo you want some more?â He asked as he took the cup from you.
You beamed up at him. âMhm!â
Iwaizumi sighed. He wasnât going to say no to that face.
As he went to get you a second glass of water, he kept trying to push those sorts of thoughts out of his head.
Heâd been doing so well. Of course, heâd wanted to be friends with you again. Being able to get along would be key to making this whole living situation work. But the closer he got, the more he was reminded of what had happened two years ago.
And like an idiot, heâd tried to position himself as someone you could rely on. He wanted to be someone you could rely on.
But was that because it was the right thing to do, or because of something else?
He shook his had and blinked rapidly. Heâs just thinking these things because heâs had a bit to drink. Thatâs all. Itâs nothing serious.
He kept repeating those thoughts as he dragged himself back to your room, determined not to succumb to them.
The last time heâd fallen into them, youâd completely excised each other from your lives. That wasnât exactly an option here.
He took a deep breath as he stepped into your room, steeling himself for whatever was to come.
You were laid on your bed, limbs curled around one of your pillows. Were you asleep?
Well, he thought, thatâs probably for the best.
Iwaizumi sighed, placing the water on your bedside table. Chances were, you were going to wake up with quite the headache. But, he supposed, itâs something of a learning experience. Itâs good to know your limits.
He carefully picked up the corner of your blanket and tugged it over you. It was fall, after all. He didnât want you catching a cold.
Once he was sure everything was in order, he flicked your light off and left, closing the door behind him.
A sudden wave of exhaustion hit him as he dragged himself back to his room. He didnât dare check the time; he was sure itâd just upset him.
Better to just try and forget about this night and move on.
⧠⧠â§
After that party, youâd made a vow to never drink again.
The vow lasted for all about a week. Although, you were much more careful about just how much you were drinking at any given time.
You did, however, stick to your promise to never, ever sleep in your makeup ever again.
Though neither alcohol nor makeup had been an issue as of late.
Youâd done your best to give yourself as much time as possible to work on your assignments, mainly so you could ensure that your language use was as proficient as possible. But, even that hadnât been enough to stave off the beast that is procrastination.
The result, of course, was a flurry of three days wholly dedicated to one assignment about neurotransmitters. You were in total shutdown mode, nothing on your mind but getting this stupid thing done.
Youâd even left your room and settled yourself at the dining table in an attempt to stop the ever-coaxing allure of your bed pulling you away from your work desk for yet another nap.
Oh, and texting Amaya at any given moment as a way of putting off your work.
Our time zones donât line up that well, you kept telling yourself. Itâs fine, I can justify this distraction.
âHey.â
You looked up at Iwaizumi with a thoroughly worn-out expression on your face. âHello.â
âYou okay?â He chuckled.
âAs much as I can be,â you whined, turning to glare your computer screen.
âHere,â he said, placing a glass of water and an apple on the desk next to you. You hadnât even noticed that he had them.
Your heart thumped a funny little rhythm in your chest.
Sure, you were used to Iwazumiâs gentlemanly ways by now. But that didnât mean your heart didnât race a little faster at each little act of kindness.
âKeep your fluids up,â he said, nodding at the water. âIf you get a headache, we have some Panadol in the cupboard.â
âThank you,â you blushed.
âNo problem,â he smiled, turning around to return to the kitchen.
A new chat lit up on the corner of your screen.
[Kohei] [7:03 PM] Hey! Howâs your assignment going?
[You] [7:03 PM] Itâs⊠going?
[Kohei] [7:04 PM] Ahaha oh dear⊠that doesnât sound good
[You] [7:03 PM] I am, as the kids say, suffering
[Kohei] [7:03 PM] Oh, Iâm so sorry :( is there anything I can do to help?
You sighed, rubbing your eyes. You just needed to get this stupid thing done. Then youâd finally be able to relax.
⧠⧠â§
You held your milk tea up to your face, peering at it closely.
âSomething wrong?â Iwaizumi asked, raising an eyebrow at you. He was perfectly content with the grapefruit tea heâd ordered, as he usually was.
âI think they skimped on the pearls this time,â you mused.
Iwaizumi chuckled, shaking his head. âNeed me to talk to them?â
âNo!â You shook your head quickly, any sign of malice disappearing from your face. âNo, please donât!â
âIâm just teasing,â he grinned, flicking your forehead lightly.
âOw!â You pouted, rubbing the besieged spot gingerly.
âNo need to be dramatic.â
âQuite the contrary, actually,â you shook your head, âIâm in my youth. Itâs the prime time to be dramatic.â
Iwaizumi gave you the kind of look that implied he had no idea what you were talking about. In truth, neither did you.
You were just in an uncommonly good mood.
The two of you were on your way to a club meeting, organised by the Japanese Students Association. In all honesty, you werenât sure what the meeting was actually about. All you knew was that youâd been invited. Specifically. Even though you were still just a first year.
And apparently, your presence had been requested by Mei.
Meaning you were actually wanted there.
The thought made your chest bubble with joy. You were wanted somewhere. People wanted to see you. On your merits. Not because of the family youâd be born into.
Sure, knowing Iwaizumi had given you a leg up, but they werenât obligated to spend time with you, right? Right?
âHajime?â
You both stopped in your tracks, turning towards the source of this new voice.
It was a girl you didnât recognise â although you had to admit that she was quite stunning. Her dark hair was tied up in an impressively neat high ponytail, and her red lipstick was impeccable. The look, if she was going for it, was definitely âI could kill a man with the mere snap of my fingers.â
âOh,â Iwaizumi blinked.
Was he⊠caught of guard?
âAh, it is you,â the girl smiled, tilting her head at him. âHow are you?â
âGood,â he said quickly. You didnât miss how his grip tightened around his cup.
The girl nodded, her eyes fixed intently on his face.
You felt a bit like you were intruding on something very personal.
âWhoâs this?â The girl asked, her gaze shifting to you.
You froze, unsure of what to say.
âUh, this is my friend,â Iwaizumi said, gesturing to you. âWho also happens to be my roommate.â
You nodded at this girl as Iwaizumi introduced you, trying to ignore the swell in your chest at the fact heâd introduced you as a âfriendâ first and foremost.
âAh,â the girl smiled, nodding. âIâm Misaki, by the way.â
The warmth thatâd just been spreading through your chest turned cold.
âItâs nice to meet you,â you said automatically, trying to stave off whatever confusing mess of emotion was going on inside of you.
âYou too,â Misaki smiled.
The three of you stood there for a moment, completely silent.
âWeâre on our way to a meeting,â Iwaizumi said, clearing his throat.
âOh, really?â Misaki blinked. âIâm sorry for taking up your time.â
âItâs no problem,â Iwaizumi shook his head, holding a hand up. âYou didnât know.â
âRight,â Misaki nodded slowly, looking between the both of you. âWell, see you around.â
âYeah,â he murmured, turning to you. âWe should get going,â He didnât wait for your response, walking off at a slightly faster pace than usual.
âRight,â you nodded, falling into step alongside him.
His whole demeanour seemed⊠off. Like something had really bothered him. It didnât take a genius to work out why. But, you thought it best to get the facts instead of relying on your own suspicions.
âSo,â you began, once you were sure Misaki was safely out of earshot, âwho is she?â
Iwaizumi cleared his throat, gaze stuck firmly to the ground. âUh⊠sheâs my ex.â
âOh?â You replied. You didnât want to seem too interested â even though, in fact, you were very interested.
âYeahâŠâ Iwaizumi nodded slowly. âWe broke up a few months ago.â
âOhâŠâ You bit the inside of your cheek. âIâm sorry.â
âItâs fine,â Iwaizumi shrugged. âWe didnât suit each other.â
âI seeâŠâ Break ups were entirely new territory for you. None of your friends had really dated in high school â and if they did, the breakup usually came as some sort of relief. Your friends had never asked for comfort even if youâd offered it.
But, seeing how the two of them had just interacted with each otherâŠ
âHow long were you together?â You asked. Was that too invasive? You werenât sure.
âAbout six months.â
You tried to ignore the stabbing in your gut. Six months? Six months? Sure, that might not be that long in the grand scheme of things, but it sure sounded like a long time to you. You hadnât even been living with Iwaizumi for six months.
âAhâŠâ You pressed your lips together, brow furrowing as you searched for what to say. âIf you need to talk to someone about itâŠâ
âDonât worry about it,â Iwaizumi smiled. âReally, Iâm over it. I just didnât expect to run into her today.â
You nodded. âThatâs fair.â
âUsually Iâd get a heads up before seeing her,â he shrugged.
âHuh?â
âWell, uhâŠâ He cleared his throat. âWe see each other at events, sometimes. For the Japanese Association.â
âOh?â Now that piqued your interest.
âYeah,â he nodded. âWe actually met through it.â
Something twisted in your stomach. Theyâd met through the Student Association? It shouldnât have made the thought of going to events weird, and yet it did.
âOh really?â You asked, trying to seem unbothered.
âMhm,â Iwaizumi nodded. âA lot of people end up finding a partner there.â
You frowned. Were you expected to find a partner there? Would you find a partner there?
Maybe you would. Maybe youâd finally find someone to date.
Although, you werenât sure how anyone was supposed to measure up to Iwaizumi. Especially when he was standing right there.
âAnyway,â he sighed, picking up his pace. âWeâll be late.â
âRight,â you nodded, scurrying after him.
All you could hope for was to be able to push the thought of Misaki out of your head.
It felt petty, childish. You shouldnâtâve been so concerned with Iwaizumiâs love life; his dating history shouldnât matter to you.
But the questions swirled in your head as the two of you rushed across campus.
Had he dated anyone other than Misaki? Had he loved her? How far had they gone together? Did he miss her? Did he ever think about her?
Or, worse yet, was he on the look-out for someone else?
⧠⧠â§
âItâs not that hard once you understand the basics,â Iwaizumi said.
âRight,â you nodded, watching his hands intently as he sliced up an onion.
âIf you place your hand like this,â he said, fist placed on the onion so that his knuckles ghosted the knife, âyouâre less likely to cut yourself.â
âAh,â you marvelled. âThatâs actually a really helpful tip.â
âI know,â he grinned. âThatâs why Iâm sharing it with you.â
You rolled your eyes.
Iwaizumi moved onto the carrots, which youâd peeled yourself. Maybe you were a bit too proud, given the size of the task, but he let you get away with it.
He chopped the carrots with his typical proficiency.
You rested your elbows on the countertop, propping your chin up on the palms of your hands.
âWe should have a dinner party,â you suggested, the image of all your shared friends gathered round your table, laughing and smiling, filling your heart with a precious warmth.
âThatâs not what uni students usually do,â Iwaizumi smiled. âNot in America, anyway.â
âSo?â You turned to him with a defiant expression. âWe can all pretend to be upper-middle class for the evening,â you opined, tilting your chin at him. âItâll be fun.â
âIâll think about it,â Iwaziumi smiled.
âPft,â you scoffed, shaking your head. âLike itâs up to you. I can just hold one without you.â
You wouldnât really do that. Youâd met them through him, after all.
âYeah?â Iwaizumi grinned, a certain glint in his eyes. âWhatâre you going to serve everyone? Burnt rice?â
âHey!â You whined. âIt was one time!â
âHow do you even burn rice?â Iwaizumi teased.
You pouted, lifting your fist and lightly punching him in the chest.
âYouâre going to have to do better than that, sweetheart,â he laughed, puffing his chest out proudly. âI barely even felt that.â
âFine.â You went for another swing.
Iwaizumi caught your wrist, holding it above your head in a gentle grip.
You swung with your other hand, only for him to catch that one, too.
You glared at him â but you know heâs aware that youâre just having a bit of fun.
âYouâre the worst and I hate you,â you huffed.
âKeep telling yourself that,â he smirked.
You tried to think of some retort, some witticism thatâd catch him off guard.
Nothing came to mind. Not when you were so close to him, his hands wrapped around your wrists as he looked at you with that expression. Stupid Iwaizumi Hajime and his stupid face and his stupid voice and his stupidâ
You brought your knee up to his stomach, making him flinch.
His stumbled backwards and you tried to tug your wrists away. But his grip was too strong, even when he wasnât trying all that hard.
âStop,â you whined. âLet me go.â
âSay sorry.â
âFor what?â
âPunching me.â
âOh, come on,â you pouted at him. âIt didnât even hurt.â
âAnd?â He raised an eyebrow at you. âItâs about the principle of it.â
âOf punching you?â
âMhm. Itâs not very polite.â
You tried to tug away again. Your mind was wandering much too far. Farther than it should.
âBrattiness is an inherited trait,â you said, âitâs just part of being an Oikawa.â
Iwaizumi chuckled, finally letting you go.
Maybe the implication of your brother was enough to do it.
âYou might be right about that,â he teased.
You stuck your tongue out at him petulantly.
Donât make it hard for yourself, you thought. Not again.
⧠⧠â§
The sound of some generic eighties rock band bounced through your apartment as you and Iwaizumi tended to the DVD rack stood next to the TV.
âYou have the taste of an old man,â you teased, glancing at Iwaizumi out the corner of your eye.
âThese are classics,â Iwaizumi tsked.
âKohei described them as âdad bands,ââ you hummed.
âAnd why should this Koheiâs opinion matter more than mine, hm?â
âI never said it did,â you grinned, moving the DVD for Ferris Bullerâs Day Off to its designated genre category. Why Iwaizumi had spent so much money on DVDs, you didnât know. You wouldâve thought that theyâd just provide more clutter, especially if he planned on moving back to Japan.
Youâd just surmised that it had something to do with his natural ineptitude with technology.
âWhat does this âKoheiâ even listen to?â Iwaizumi asked.
You shrugged. âI donât know, actually.â
âYou know, youâll look back at the music of this decade and realise most of itâs garbage,â Iwaizumi grunted.
âOkay, grandpa.â
âIâm serious.â
âI know you are,â you grinned, âyouâve got that look on your face.â
Iwaizumi raised an eyebrow at you. âWhat look?â
âYou know,â you giggled, turning to face him. âThis look.â
You drew your eyebrows together a little, narrowing your eyes just enough to make them a bit more intense. To finish it off, you turned the corners of your mouth down, performing your best impression of a certified âSerious Iwaizumi.â
He flicked your forehead gently, a fond smile on his face. âI donât look like that.â
âOh, but you do,â you stressed. âYouâre going to get premature wrinkles if youâre not careful.â
âDoesnât matter,â he shrugged. âAt least Iâll have my arms.â
You couldnât argue with that. The only thing left to do was return to your task, hoping that the very invasive thought of Iwaizumiâs well-built arms would get out of your head.
There was a tap on your shoulder.
âHm?â You turned to look at him.
He held up two DVD cases. âBlade Runner, or Back to the Future?â
You glanced between the two of them intently. âHuh?â
âWe should take a break,â he suggested.
âAh,â you nodded. âWhich oneâs less depressing?â
âUhâŠâ Iwaizumi looked between the two of them. âBack to the Future. Definitely.â
âI wanna watch that one, then.â
Iwaizumi nodded, turning around and turning the TV on.
You bit the inside of your cheek. Watching a movie with Iwaizumi, huh? Now that was dangerous territory. This time, at least, you knew to put a pillow between the two of you.

chess master s/o - hajime, izuru, nagito
@shushushoe asked: Admirations! I hope you had a great day. Anyways, may i request a Hajime, Izuru and Nagito with a s/o that enjoys chess? Including that theyâre known to be a chess professional (chess master)? Theyâre like very sleep deprived and known to have plenty of strategies to be very intelligent, later on to find out who the culprit is, meaning checkmate. :) Good luck on the request, take care!
a/n: this request reminded me of komugi from hxh đȘ hope you had a great day too!!
âââ hajime hinata
going against you in chess reminds him how talentless he is ïżŒïżŒ
now matter how many strategies he studies you were always a step ahead ïżŒof him. always
even when there was one time he thought he was going to win, you ended up switching your strategy thus wining
there was even a time when as soon as he made his first move you told him how the game was going to end and you were right
are you sure your not the ultimate psychic?
if your versing anyone else hajime doesnât even have to hope that you win because since heâs knows you, and you never lost to anyone
if your not an ultimate and youâre in the reserve course just like him heâll tell you to request to switch because your chess playing is definitely on a ultimate level
the only time he asks you to stop playing is when you stop sleeping to study your plays or learn new ones
your sleep is more important to him than your talent <3
âââ izuru kamukura
if you think i based this off komugi and meruem đ©đŸâ𩯠you caught me
chess is definitely boring for him but hearing rumors around school about how good you are, heâll request to play you
at first, he thought you were extremely predictable. how did you even get your ultimate playing like this
but out of no where they way you played changed drastically scoring you the win
now youâve caught his attention
heâll ask to play again, mostly just to study your strategy, but he also wants to win
what really surprised him was when you two were playing again you told him how he was going to play and how you were going to win
he says nothing instead changing his plays but he still loses.
you seem to be the only person he tolerates at hopes peak so you two become âfriendsâ in some sort of way
the more you two hang out the more he notices himself caring more about you
for example, when you donât get enough sleep heâll pull you away from whatever your doing and tell you to get sleep
it would probably take him a while for him to realize that he actually likes you but when he does heâll ask you out quick
also heâll keep playing you in chess till he wins but donât intentionally let him win heâll know and he wonât be happy about it
âââ nagito komaeda
he really likes playing with you
heâs helping you better your ultimate while spending time with you? what more could he ask for?
now nagito is pretty lucky so he figured that his luck might let him win
but he couldnât be more wrong
you always defeated him not that he minded
even when you tell him how the game will end his impressed
âi expect nothing less from the ultimate chess master s/o, youâre so amazing.â
when you play other students heâs definitely always hyping you up, youâre his s/o and heâll support you in everything you do
just like with the others, he hates when you donât get enough sleep
you shouldnât be playing while your body is literally screaming at you to sleep
yeah it makes him proud when you still win when youâre on 1% but you need to priorities your needs first
heâll ask you to sleep but if you refuse nagito will bargain with you saying heâll cuddle with you or anything else just so youâll say yes
after youâre re-energized then you can get back to playing

SDR2 SELF INSERT - CHAPTER 1.
i swear i'll finish requests and matchups after i get rid of this brainrot swarming the back of my mind ... hope you guys enjoy reading this and anticipate my other chapters. please let me know if this was good ! <3 i'm nervous ...
psa ;; lowercase + spaces intended ,, second person pov. this isn't completely accurate because i'm currently on chapter three and this story is going to be nagito x reader centered - but you won't have to really worry about that in this chapter !
how did it end up like this ... ? one minute you were a freshman entering hope's peak academy, excited to finally go to the school of your dreams and harness the potential of your talent, but the next minute you wake up on an island with a talking stuffed bunny, sixteen strangers, and no recollection of how you got there to begin with.
not only that, but there was a bear now, too ? it claimed to be the headmaster of this school field trip and now ... oh, yeah ... killings were to take place ... wait - huh ? killings - what the hell ... ?!
"hold on, you guys ! i think they're coming back to us !" you heard a rough yet feminine voice that could've only belonged to the ultimate gymnast, followed by that of the ultimate musician's.
"yoo-hoo ! y/n, are you in there ? earth to y/n, earth to y/n !" the girl with multicolored hair practically shouted, frantically waving her hands in front of your face before gasping in shock and dramatically falling backwards so that the ultimate nurse, the one you recalled to have choppy purple hair and several bandages, could catch her. the poor uncoordinated girl did so with a surprised squeak, nearly falling backwards herself. "oh no ! are you guys sure that aliens haven't taken over their brain ?!"
"jeez, you guys are seriously so insensitive ... ! i sincerely doubt that that happened, ibuki, just give them some time to process all of this," a certain redhead butted in to scold the other, fidgeting with the camera in her hands afterwards.
"h-huh ? aliens ? what are you talking about ?" you shook your head in disbelief as you zoned back in and spoke, realizing you had spaced out trying to rid yourself of the denial you were going through at the moment.
so this was really reality, huh ?
it took you a day and a short amount of rest you were supposed to call 'sleep' to finally face the gravity of the situation you were in.
"nevermind those statements. we were all just talking about having a party at the old building tonight. i expect to see you all there," byakuya butt in, glancing down at your sitting figure with his arms crossed while you still had your elbow propped up on a table and chin in one hand.
"ah, alright, i see ... but isn't it pretty dusty in there ? and i thought it was also still under construction ..." you asked the blonde in front of you, watching the ultimate affluent progeny shake his head with a disappointed sigh escaping him.
"do you even listen or care about your surroundings ? that's why we're holding a drawing to see who's going to get cleaning duty. you're the last one to draw, so hurry up and quit acting like an incompetent fool already," byakuya demanded, watching you tousle your own hair as you stood up with an annoyed huff at his bossy tone, going over to the guy with the cloud-like, wispy hair and pulling a chopstick from his hands.
no red mark.
well, guess it seems that you're not on cleaning duty. but it seems like the lean, tall guy in the green jacket that had been holding the drawing in the first place had been the one to get it instead. how unlucky.
"is that - is that really fair ... ? i feel bad that you have to clean most of the building all by yourself, nagito. i really don't mind helping out, y'know," you offered, already feeling guilty of leaving the sickly looking male alone to clean the place.
a shimmer of what seemed like hope sparked in his greyish-green eyes but that disappeared just as quickly as it came, making you squint and furrow your brows in confusion with pursed lips as the said man gave you a sheepish smile.
"ah - don't worry about me, i'll be fine ! besides, if it's cleaning, that's one thing that i'm pretty good at," he reassured you, waving his hands before him with a bashful look on his face. he looked, dare you say, flustered at your suggestion.
"are you sure ? i mean, i could just pop in my headphones and it'd be completely fine with m-"
"i'm fine ! really - i insist ... thank you, though," nagito cut you off unintentionally yet abruptly, making you raise an eyebrow but finish talking about the subject. the only thing you murmured in response was a small 'alright, if you say so ...' before going back to finishing up your breakfast. what a funky little dude.
on the other hand, teruteru may be out of line and a bit pervy sometimes, but his food wasn't something he was just gloating about for no reason whatsoever. he really did make good dishes no matter the occasion.
10:00pm. that's what monokuma had said on the announcements. "get a good night's sleep my ass ... i've got a party to get to," you said aloud to no one in particular, standing up from your bed to stretch before beginning to leave your cottage and heading over to the old building. you weren't scared of defying byakuya's orders, but the surveillance cameras set up in your room more than kind of freaked you out. at least at the party, you'd be having somewhat more fun while being watched instead of being paranoid of glancing back at whoever's behind the cameras while you tried to enjoy your short lived solitude.
hajime was just a little bit ahead of you getting pat down by byakuya, making you purse your lips in a thin line as you waited your turn. oh well, at least byakuya was being strictly professional about the pat down. but you couldn't ignore the fact that he seemed even more stressed than usual. something was definitely off.
it didn't take long for you to follow after the brunette, however, curiosity got the best of you as you wanted to search the building. i mean, hey, better safe than sorry, right ? it's best to keep track of your surroundings - you learned that from earlier. plus, what the hell was there to even renovate in here ? monomi should've already had everything set up before you guys had arrived, right ?
it didn't take long before you explored the office and greeted peko passing by you with one of byakuya's cases and a plate of food, soon visiting teruteru in the kitchen and quickly leaving due to his talk about his posioned loins (which, for the record, you even stated bluntly "dude, nobody asked ..." yet he still kept going).
yeah, so, let's avoid the kitchen for now. the last room was ... a storage room ? i mean, it couldn't hurt to check out, right ?
the first thing that caught your attention were the three irons sitting on an ironing board. why were there three ? what are irons even doing in here, anyways ? and - wait, are they turned on ?
as soon as you had begin going over to check if they were really plugged in like you had suspected, byakuya had stormed over and found you, grabbing your shoulder.
"what the hell are you doing ? get going to the dining room, everyone's waiting on you," the taller man stated, making you open and close your mouth like a fish out of water as you tried to defend yourself, but to no use. maybe some things were just better left untouched ?
you followed byakuya into the dining room like a kicked puppy, going over to stand next to sonia and kazuichi who seemed to be pretty happy and lively. hopefully, their joyous moods would rub off on you and you wouldn't end up being a killjoy.
as you glanced at all the party dishes teruteru put together in awe, mahiru began taking pictures, the click startling you a bit before you averted your gaze and smiled at her. the freckled redhead smiled back before taking another picture, you making a funny face at the camera in hopes to get her to laugh before another click was heard. neither of you had time to talk or giggle as instead this click was connected to the air conditioning system.
and now it was pitch black.
"uwah ! it's a b-blackout !" mahiru cried out in fear, a few others' voices ringing across the room as panic began to settle into the atmosphere. oh god, what the hell was going on ? you stumbled back from your spot instinctively, feeling yourself get shoved by someone before toppling over onto the floor. a hiss of pain left you after a sharp gasp as you planted face first into the wooden floorboards, trying to regain your footing or at least get up from laying on the floor helplessly. that's the last thing you need nor want anyone to see.
"g-guys, let's just try to keep our cool, yeah ? panicking wont help our s-situation ..." you managed to get out as you got yourself to your knees albeit wobbly and clumsily, finding a table leg to help lean against as you waited for the power to turn back on. could those irons you found earlier be related to the power outage ?
soon enough, the lights turned back on as if to rip you away from your thoughts, making you blink fiercely as your vision tried to adjust to the sudden illumination in the room. everyone stared in your direction and you blinked in confusion right back at them, soon enough realizing you were clinging onto a table leg desperately and probably had blood on your face from colliding so hard with the floor. you quickly let go, stumbling a bit as you tried to stand up and cover your face with a hand, but doing so stiffly as you coughed awkwardly. you felt a bit pathetic for looking so helpless in this situation. but it turns out that everyone wasn't staring at you, they were staring behind you - at mikan ... and her ... quite compromising position.
"w-what the hell ?! mikan, how did you even - ?"
"i-i'm sorry, i tripped again ! ohh ... please forgive me !"
"i- wh- nevermind, it's not like you can control how you fall - i-i think ... w-whatever ! just let me help you up already ... !" you grumbled out as you began moving the food off of her, the others trying to remain courteous and instead searching for byakuya. oh, yeah, where did that rich guy go ? you swore you felt someone shove you and the floorboards rumble from his direction towards yours ... had he ran past you to search for a way to turn the lights on ? but there's no way anyone could even see where anything was in that darkness, so that could've been anyone ...
gah, this whole party was a disaster. maybe you really should have taken that chance to have a staring contest with whoever was behind the surveillance camera screens.
it wasn't long before everyone gathered together again while mikan offered to treat your minimal wounds with the supplies she had on her at the moment, the others having no luck of finding byakuya. alright, now things were starting to get freaky ...
things really began to take a turn for the worse though when akane spoke up about smelling blood. now that atmosphere of tension and panic from earlier was back.
you watched as hajime hesitantly stalked towards the table in the far right with a lamp on top of it, sweat beading down his forehead. you couldn't blame him. this whole situation was pretty damn nerve wracking for everyone, including yourself, involved. in fact, it would probably ease him if you also came over to let him know he wasn't alone - maybe. or you would just scare him, but it was better than nothing.
you made your way over to him after thanking mikan for sterilizing and bandaging up one of your cheeks and nose after scraping your face pretty hard against a loose nail in that floorboard. what terrible luck. either that, or you were just as much of a klutz as mikan was. maybe both.
anyhow, you could barely feel the pain with adrenaline coursing through you at the moment as you two peered from under the table, the sight underneath it making you shriek and cover your mouth. you couldn't tear your eyes away from your "leader's" lifeless body.
byakuya was now dead. only sixteen students remained.
danganronpa masterlist.

may i request nagito asking out his best friend while theyre students in hope's peak?
Mod Mikanâs note: Here you go, darling! I did this in the form of a headcanon since it was easier for me to format the sequence of events, so I apologize if you wanted a drabble. I hope this suffices!Â
-Before you and Nagito were a couple, you were best friends!Â
-Nagito never really had any close friends before, aside from Hajime, and sometimes Chiaki. After all, his luck was unpredictable, he couldâve ended up hurting his loved ones
-But that didnât stop you from sitting next to the adorable, marshmallow haired boy on that faithful day
-You were walking along the halls of the prestigious institution, admiring the intricate designed moldings and sunlight that passed through the glass windows. Looking around for room 312, you still couldnât shake yourself off from this dram
-You, (Y/N) (L/N), was now known as the ultimate (Y/T). You were guaranteed success in the future. You were in Hope Peakâs academy--could this get any better?Â
-With a gasp of relief, you managed to find your first period classroom, a few students sitting in their seats. With your hands slightly shaking, you powered through your anxiety, walking inside the classroom. Before you could pull out a chair from the first empty desk you could find, you were stopped by another hand
-âExcuse me?! What the hell do you think youâre doing near MY desk, you fucking piece of pig barf?!âÂ
-You looked up, seeing a petite girl that looked like she was visiting from the elementary program. However, her nasty attitude was the aspect of her that caught your eye. Though...not in a good way
-âHuh? Oh, Iâm sorry. Iâm new here. Is this your desk?â I asked her, trying to fan out the flames that she lit from her stubborn, hot-headed persona. The blond scoffed and yanked the chair away from meÂ
-âYouâre new? CLEARLY! Yes, this is my goddamn desk! Anyone with a brain can realize that. I donât care who you are, but since you pissed me off, you can go sit with the hope obsessed whatever over there!â With a flick of a pointed finger, she presented a cute boy with cloud like hair, reading a book at his desk. I cocked my brow, turning my attention from the male back to the childlike girl
-âEh? And who made you the keeper of the seats?â I shot back at her, every word of the second statement laced with some sass. With your hands placed on your hips, the blond just crossed her arms, staring at you challenginglyÂ
-âUgh, I feel even less talented just looking at you! If you wanna save yourself from total embarrassment AND from being treated even worse than Tsumiki, then get out of my sight!âÂ
-Wow........
-Followed by an eye roll, you whizzed passed the bratty girl. You only sat next to the boy she previously pointed you because it was the only open seat that was the farthest away from her. Well, you probably know who you arenât going to call for missed notesÂ
-With the thud of your bag hitting the wood floor underneath your new desk, you sat down near the cute boy. He closed his book, turning to you. Before you could say hello, he beat you to the punch. However, his first words towards you shocked you even more than the spoiled girl you first metÂ
-âOh, you must be the new student I heard about. (Y/N) (L/N), the ultimate (Y/T), right? Well, my name is Nagito Komeada, the ultimate lucky student. I know my talent isnât really that great compared to yours. And my trashy presence is probably boring you right now. Donât worry. Iâll go so you donât have to feel embarrassed being near me,âÂ
-.......................Was everyone at Hope Peakâs academy this weird?Â
-As the white haired male gathered his things, you frowned, thinking that you were destined to be an outcast here. You already made an enemy without even saying much, and now you just pushed away a potential friend
-As you let out a depressed sigh, the pale boy couldnât help but frown to. He stopped picking up his things, placing them back on his desk. He sat down again, apologizing for making you feel badÂ
-âHuh? Oh, Iâm sorry. Did you...actually want to get to know me?â He asked you, making you nod. This made his foregoing cheerful smile form again on his face, as he turned his whole body towards you
-âIâm so flattered someone with such a hopeful talent wants to talk with a worthless human being like me! You said it was your first day at this school, right? Maybe I can show you around during lunch if you want,â He offered. At first, his harsh view of himself baffled you a bit. Not really the most appropriate way of introducing yourself to someone. Nevertheless, you shrugged this fact off and accepted his offer to show you around schoolÂ
****************************************************************************************************
-From that day forward, Nagito Komeada became your best friend
-Before you two started dating, you use to do everything together. The only things that changed after you guys were a couple was a few pet names here and there and kissing/hand-holdingÂ
-Nagito tried to keep his distance as much as he could after showing you around. After all, everything went smoothly after he showed you around school. It was screaming for bad luck to occur not only to him, but to you to!Â
-How dare trash like him tarnish an innocent, loving ultimate like yourself with his despair inducing luck cycle? It was foolish of him to think that he could ever have the honor of calling an ultimate like yourself a close friend. He would only cause you trouble--be a burden
-Yeah, like that was going to stop you
-You basically sat near Nagito during class time, lunch, after school activities, and even walked home together. While Nagito tried to end your conversations as soon as possible, you were skeptical. Didnât he like you? Or...was it just pity that he just chose to stay in his seat near you on your first day?Â
-His distance between you was quickly closed when he explained his luck cycle to you during cleaning time. He ended his reasoning with a sigh, preparing for you to leave and never talk to him again. He even had a few suggestions on moving desks in class
-But what you said startled the pale boyÂ
-âIâd like you see your bad luck try to tear us apart. I donât know what itâll bring for us in the future, but I do know one thing: Iâll never leave your side, Nagito. I enjoy being around you and nothing can change thatâ
-From that day, Nagitoâs attitude did a whole one eighty and you two became inseperable
-Was it really possible for someone as disgusting as him to be friends with an ultimate? Going over to each otherâs places to do homework, watching bad movies and eating slightly burnt baked cookies, laughing at terrible jokes inside jokes no one else would understand.....
-No......Nagito knew he didnât even deserve to think about you in such a way. But the infamous lucky student could help but grow...an even more intimate bond with you. He already braced himself for a rejection, mentally preparing himself for the utmost despair that would flood his heart. Could he even work up the courage to tell you these strong feelings? Was he being selfish? He already felt greedy enough for keeping you away from hanging out with the other ultimates--thatâs where you belonged. Not with mere trash like him.Â
-He pushed his luck keeping you as his best friend. To have you as his lover? His true source of hope in his life? Câmon Komeada....be realistic here. You were meant to be alone and die alone! Your luck cycle will always be a constant reminder of that!Â
-Perhaps....it wouldnât hurt to try it? After all, where there is despair, there will be hope that will rise from it! The day when you and Nagito were suppose to try a new outdoor cafe but it rained? You offered to make your own coffee and pastries at your house! The day when you and Nagito took a walk in the park and you broke your leg because you didnât see that sidewalk crack? Nagito was by your side through the whole doctorâs trip and he managed to cheer you up by buying you a lot of snacks from the vending machine
-Like.....when he placed only not even 200 yen into the vending machine, it glitched and gave him five baggies of chips instead of oneÂ
-Maybe his good luck would be on his side and you would accept his feelings! Then he could turn his fantasies into the reality. All you needed to do was say yes and heâd give you the world! Youâd be his precious angel of hope, his darling love, his ultimate luck charm
-.......But that would just be too convenient. It would be too good to be true. Bad luck.....good luck.....which would one overpower the other and make it all worth it
-Obviously good luck! Hope conquers all after all! You werenât a mere stepping stone like Nagito was. You were an ultimate after all! A pure symbol of hope! To him, you were a shining ray of hope, the angel that provided him light into his dark life. He wanted needed you more so than ever. It was now or never, Nagito. I canât keep relying on my luck. Especially for something as important as this. This will all be determined by (Y/N)âs feelings. After all, theyâre not that kind of person to never talk to their friend again after a love confession.....right?Â
-âEh? Komeada-kun, are you okay?âÂ
-Nagito was snapped out of his thoughts, as he turned to his best friend. The ultimate let out a sigh, gripping the backpack strap that was slinged across their shoulders even tighter. The ultimate (Y/T) knew that her best friend was known for being a bit...absorbed in his thoughts
-âHonestly Nagito, did you even listen to what I was saying?â The question slipped from a pair of soft lips, a hint of annoyance laced each word. The duo kept walking away from the school, back to Nagitoâs home. Hangouts were usually at his house for obvious reasons. His parents were dead and he was basically all alone. It must get pretty boring with just himself in such a big house. He also had more money than an average person spends in their lifetime, so that was also a bonus
-Nagito almost found himself lost in thought yet again, smiling to himself. He wouldâve been in tears if you agreed to move in with him after just a few months of dating. He knew that you two were still in high school, but just imagine how perfect it would be. He wouldnât have to worry about being lonely, he wouldnât have to worry about if you were safe and happy, he wouldnât have to worry about a thing. Just you and him--just the way he liked it
-The (H/C) student noticed Nagitoâs small smiile, and cocked their brow. They snapped a pair of (S/C) fingers in his face, literally snapping him out of his personal trance for a second time
-âNagito, what is up? Youâve been spacing off and mumbling to yourself for the past few weeks. Is...everything okay?â His best friend asked him, as Nagito pulled out his house key, sliding the metal into the lock. The turning of gears signaled that the large estate was unlocked, and with a gentle push of the double doors, both teenagers entered
-âOh, I appreciate the concern, (Y/N), but itâs nothing to fuss over. Iâve....actually been deep in thought about...a certain someone lately,â The white haired male admitted, shutting the door behind him. (Y/N)âs furrowed brows became raised him shock and somewhat cheekiness. They never took Nagito for the type of fall in love. Not that he was cold or unemotional, but he never interacted with anyone besides them, Hajime, or somewhat, Chiaki. And he never showed any romantic interest in either of them. Who could he possible have on his mind?Â
-âOh? Is that so?â The Ultimate (Y/T) curved a smirk upon their lips, as they walked closer to the skinny boy. With the thud of a second backpack joining Nagitoâs onto the floor, (Y/N) took a seat on the leather couch, the playful smirk never leaving their adorable face âAnd, may I ask, who is this lucky someone that is on your mind?â
-âWell.....they....um....theyâre really beautiful, dedicated and skilled at their talent, and even manages to outshine all the other ultimates. Theyâre truly optimistic, joyful, and a wonder to be around. I think I may love them more than hope itself,â He blushed, the small smile creeping back onto his face. (Y/N) chuckled lightly, crossing their legs along with their arms
-âWow, they must really be something if you love them that much. Can I get a name along with that lovey-dovey description though?â (Y/N) tried to pry Nagito even deeper, impatient to know who stole their best friendâs heart. Who knows? Maybe they can even play matchmaker for the lovebirds!Â
-Nagito took this small window of time to form a small plan. It seemed simple enough and maybe some bad luck would be prevented if he took a more...passive approach into expressing his feelings. His small smile was replaced with his usual cheerful, bright one, as he dug through his just discarded backpack on the floor
-âActually....I think it would be better if I wrote it down...â Nagito stated, producing a marble notebook and pencil in his hands. (Y/N) was about to say something, but Nagito seemed eager to write down the note to his friend. He sat down on the opposite end of the couch, scribbling on a random, clean page in the notebook. The ripping of the paper and folding of it signaled that he was done, as he handed the message to his best friend
-âLooks like youâre taking all the precautions you can, Nagito. But I promise you that itâs just us here,â (Y/N) chuckled and winked at him before taking the slip of paper from him. Nagito grinned joyously, both figuratively and physically on the edge of his seat. As the (H/C) haired student folded out the creases from the once pleated paper, the words bewildered them for a second
-Will you be my one and only hope, (Y/N)?
-With a turn of their head from the paper to Nagitoâs blushing face, he grinned bashfully at them, hoping he didnât ruin things between them. He was about to say something along the lines of âI know trash like me doesnât deserve you...â but his open mouth was covered with an index finger being placed perpendicular towards it
-âNagito, if you even think about calling yourself trash, I will hide all your bagels! And to answer your questions....I would love to be your hope,â The smirk that was on their face was softened into a compassionate smile. Nagito felt the weight being lifted from his chest as was about to hug (Y/N) out of relief and happiness, but thought for a split second that he was going to push it, tainting their beautiful skin with his garbage touch
-Well, not like he had much of a choice, as you pulled him into a hug, staying like that for a long time
-It was that day where Nagito felt his dark world being filled with the light of hope that was you. Slowly and slowly you helped him crawl out of his despairing world and showed him the hope that you had to offer. You gave him your love and so much more--something he was yearning for for his whole entire life. He had his own hope
-Nagito never wants to stop being with you. For the first time in in his life....
-He knows what love is

sup fuckers!! guess who made an entirely new branch of subplot and worldbuilding for the Accidentally A Criminal Kokichi AU that literally doesnât involved kokichi at all and may just be an explanation for why the Games didnât happen, but got carried away and now its like an entirely separate story arc that happens????
this bastard right here! hi how ya doing folks and @the-sleepiest-salami , how ya doing tonite?
so yeah, this part actually centres around class 77 (sdr2) but i need to get some things out of the way for context i think
(edit: god this post is long and its only the first part of 8-10 posts explaining this entire mess)
kamukura izuru and hinata hajime: they are a plural system. hajime is the illegitimate child of Hinata Tajima, the Ultimate Entrepreneur, but his parents are Hinata Ayako (Tajimaâs trophy wife) and an unknown man of Thai origin based off of DNA testing.
Tajima is very demanding, expects perfection from hajime, putting him under a lot of stress. he has the mindset that Talentless are tools for the use of the Talented, so when his son turns out to be both not his son and talentless he becomes incredibly distant and neglectful while still expecting perfection from Hajime so as not to damage his reputation.
Izuru is a result of the stress put on hajime, and while some aspects of him come from the conditions hajime was put under, he is his own person. hajime & izuru switch depending on the situation and the people theyâre around.
Hajime fronts around Ayako and most of the mansionsâ servants, being standoffish and prickly, but also more emotionally open and active. izuru fronts around Tajima and his guests, being more passive(-agressive) and quiet.
they are equally observant and analytical, just for different things; izuru focuses more on skills and actions, watching and learning different things, whereas hajime observes people themselves, their emotions and motives.
they get sent to a boarding school at 12 and suddenly they dont have to switch for people and theyâre thrown off. they have to sort out a schedule for themselves. hajime gets monday-wednesday-friday, and izuru gets tuesday-thursday, and they sort out weekends between them.
at this point some of the staff notice âhajimeââs ability to copy skills from others, and some of them donât have the best intentions. at 14 hajime and izuru are sold off by a staff member to the Howardsâ Foundation, who are running the Hope Cultivation Plan, quietly endorsed by Hopeâs Peak Academyâs principal, Kirigiri Jin, with the funds taken from reserve course studentsâ buy-in.
the scientists are fascinated by izuruâs strange ability, and start showing him ultimate level material, celebrating when he copies it at a grade just underneath ultimate level. the scientists start to shove as much information into izuru as they can, trying to turn him to their Ultimate Hope, that that quickly exhausts izuru, leaving hajime to front.
hajime is subjected to several inhumane âstimulusâ to attempt to draw izuru out, which obviously doesnât work. eventually, around six months of this izuru-learning/hajime-hurting cycle, izuru and hajime find an opportunity in an unlocked door while hajime was fronting. they escape, with new medical trauma, a collection of new scars, and a deeper bond shared between izuru and hajime.
while the school noticed his disappearance, Tajima didnât even bother checking his spam emails, and literally had no clue that his kid(s) were essentially kidnapped. hajime quickly identifies the one teacher that sold them out and izuru quietly disposes if him two and a half months later.
when they are 16, Tajima pays for their spot in HPAâs reserve course. seven months into the year, 16 reserve course students vanish into thin air, only 8 reappearing four months later in a small town on the Canadian east coast. one month of recovery, where they all refuse to speak on the matter, they are sent back to HPA.
Kirigiri Jin dies three weeks later due to a Necrotising Fasciitis infection in his mouth. his half sister, Kirigiri Yuno, the Ultimate Vigilante, takes over his previous position as principal, and instates several new tests for identifying talents, since some can be hard to spot.
11 reserve course students are found to have ultimates:
Naegi Makoto, Luck
Naegi Komaru, Computer Science
Kuzuryƫ Natsumi, Marksman
Shirazu Sato, Journalist
Ito Kyƫsaku, Puppeteer
Hinata Hajime, Logician âą Izuru, Mimic
Josei Hinami, Spirit Medium
Ozakura Kanji, Hunter
Kaname ShĆgo, Animal Tamer
Taneo Tohi, Field Medic
OK FUCK YEAH ONE PART DONE, 7 TO GO
iâll elsborate on the 16 reserve disapearances later, but i think u know whats going on...
also, NO, if this were a game, hajime would not be the protagonist! Natsumi would be our protagonist, with Sato as the antagonist, and hajime/izuru as the opposite-sex-helping character (like kyoko, chiaki, or kaede).

Hi, could you do a scenario with hajime defending his s/o after they got called crazy for being mentally ill? Thanks!
Sure thing! Fair warning this may hit close to home for some people if theyâve ever gotten bullied for this stuff.
If you have gotten bullied for having any mental disorder, know that you are valid and whoever made fun of you was in the wrong. ( Ë ÂłË)â„ïž
Pairing: Hajime x reader (no pronouns used for reader)
Summary: the request
Setting: non-despair Au
Warning: reader has a mental disorder but I tried to keep it vague so you can insert any disorder, reader gets bullied (mainly my Hiyoko) and cries, reader takes medication for illness, Hajime is an angry bean and yells but not at the reader, I think thatâs it
Under the cut!
This wasnât fair. This wasnât fair at all. It wasnât your fault you were ill in the head. So why were you bullied for it?!
Sometimes you just needed a break, and your teachers knew this. But some of your classmates disagreed with you âspecial treatmentâ as they called it.
âSo why does Y/N get to leave 5 minutes early? Some of us deserve it a lot more!â Hiyoko was the first to start the fight, as usual. Some people nodded in agreement, some were indifferent, and some, who knew of your illness, protested the girl in pigtails.
âHiyoko,â Sonia spoke up, âit really isnât our business to-â
âShaddup! I think we all deserve an explanation as to why Y/N gets treated so well! Itâs like sheâs dying or something like Kom-â
âS-Stop!!â You yelled, gripping the rim of your desk until your knuckles turned white. Hiyoko scoffed, folding her eyes.
âOh yeah? Iâll stop when you tell us why you get treated like royalty!â
You started panicking, you really didnât want the others to know about your illness. You didnât want them to see you as crazy, or them to think that you thought you were better than them for getting special treatment.
In reality, you left 5 minutes early to take medicine (by medicine I mean stuff like anxiety meds, anti-depressants, mood stabilizers, meds for schizophrenia, those kinds of meds.) to help with your mental illness, and your teachers understood why you wanted to hide it so they let you leave to take it where no one would see.
You pulled out your phone, your safe haven, something that calmed you since it brought you away from reality for a brief moment. You immediately went to messages, tapping your text conversation with your boyfriend, a reserve course student named Hajime.
The others knew of your relationship with him, and didnât mind him eating lunch with the other ultimates so he could be with you. Well, everyone except Nagito, but he never directly interfered so you didnât care too much.
You frantically started typing, he should be out of class and heading to you for lunch anyway.
You: Hey, please hurry.
Hajime: ok? Whatâs wrong?
You: please. Just hurry up. Theyâre asking about my illness and I donât know what to do
Hajime: on my way.
âHey, Iâm talking to you, pig barf! Whoever your texting can waitâ Hiyoko yelled, grabbing your phone and looking at who you were texting.
âH-Hiyoko! Give that back to Y/N right this second!!â Sonia tried to grab it for you, but Hiyoko was too fast to catch.
âPlease, just hurry up,â she read aloud to your whole class, âTheyâre asking about my illness and I donât know what to do.â
âIllness,â Kazuichi looked at you, âSo you are dying like Nag-â
âHold on!!â Hiyoko snickered, âI scrolled up! Y/N is crazy! Theyâre Iâll in the head! Mental! Hajime and Y/N talk about it a lot in the texts!â
âDo they talk about⊠anything else?â TeruTeru grinned.
âNasty, perv!!â She laughed again, âHajime says: do you need me to go pick up your meds for you? I know you donât want the others seeing you. Y/N says: yes please, thank you I love you. Aaaaand scrolling up! Y/N says: I didnât realize I was out of my meds! Whatâs gonna happen if I canât take them?! Hajime says: just skip classes for the day and Iâll get them for you.â
âP-Please,â you weakly reached for the phone, tears now streaming down your face, âstopâŠâ
âNot until you tell us whatâs making you bat crazy-â
âHEY,â Your boyfriend burst through the doors, running over and yanking the phone out of Hiyokos hand, âYOU HAD NO RIGHT TO DO THAT!â
âTo think,â Nagito clicked his tongue is disgust, âto think a reserve course would not only date an ultimate, but so as far as to take something from another oneâŠâ
âI was getting my S/Oâs phone back, because Hiyoko stole it!â
âYeah yeah whatever,â Hiyoko grinned, âso. Give us the details. Y/N running from getting taken to the lunie bin?â
âDid you just call my partner crazy?!â
âYeah, well arenât they?â
âNo! Y/N has a mental illness, theyâre not crazy! I⊠I canât believe ultimates would even⊠act like that! Arenât you guys supposed to be the best of the best or something?! You all should be ashamed! Youâre all horrible!!â Hajime grabbed you as gently as he could and dragged you out of the classroom, pulling you into the courtyard and finally coming to a stop.
âH-Hajime-â he stopped you short by pulling you into a hug, burying his face in your neck. (If youâre significantly shorter than him, he still does this but lifts you off the ground in the process.)
âI am so, so sorry, Y/N,â he sighed, âyou didnât deserve any of that. I wish I had gotten there sooner.â
âI-Itâs ok⊠Hiyokoâs probably right. Iâm gonna end up in an insane-â
âNo,â he cut you off, pulling away and looking into your eyes, âShe was completely out of line, and completely wrong. Youâre not crazy. Youâre mentally ill, and you have no control over that. You didnât chose for these issues in your brain. And she has no right to say those things to you. I donât care that theyâre ultimates, if anyone ever says anything like that to you again donât hesitate to call me. Iâll give them a piece of my mind.â
âHajime,â you nodded, hugging him again and letting a few tears fall, âI will. I love you so much.â
âI love you too. Now letâs go have you take your meds and then get some ice cream. On me.â
I hope this was ok!
Thank you for coming to my TED talk,

ooooohhhh ok thereâs no limit on characters so Iâm just going to request a bunch wghsdjndhs sorry anyway can I have hcs for Taka, Nagito, Fuyuhiko, Korekiyo, Celestia, Hajime, Ibuki, and Peko with an ultimate singer s/o?? if thatâs too much dw about it thank you đ„°đ„ș
Hey anon! Of course! Sorry if this got repetitiveâ thanks for requesting!!
Kiyotaka Ishimaru
âąHe thinks your Ultimate is fantastic!
âąHe just absolutely adores hearing you sing
âąEven if youâre just humming along to a song, or having a full on concert, heâll love it!
âąHeâll also come to any of your concerts
âąIt does not matter if he is busy, because he suddenly has no plans
âąDuring the concert, heâs one of the very loud people just constantly shouting and applauding you
âąHis hands might be a little red from clapping so much at the end of every songâ but thatâs okay!
âąAfter a concert, he knows it can be exhausting, so heâll subtly come backstage (with permission) and wait for you
âąOnce youâre ready to leave, heâll give you a wide smile and give you a hug, pulling you close to him
âąHe knows you might be tired, so he tries to lower down his excitement
âąâYou did great, S/o!â
âąHeâll gently lead you outside by the wrist and take you home, and you can tell him all about the concert!
âąBut, on a side note, Taka really likes your voice!
âąHe finds it captivating in all honestyâ and to find you so passionate about it makes it even better!
âąHeâs always reminding you to drink water, though! He knows that after you sing for a while your throat can get sore or dry
âąHeâs always going to be telling you how talented you are, and he will always compliment your voice!
âąYouâre doing a stunning job at your talent, how is he not supposed to tell you that?
âąIf you ever have a day where your voice is either lost, or cracking slightly and doesnât sound as good, he promises you youâre still just as awesome as you previously were, and that itâs normal for your voice to be tired after singing for so long without a break
âąHonestly? He really admires your Ultimate, and heâs sure to let you know as much! Through actions, and words
Nagito Komaeda
âąWhen he first started dating you, he adored your talent
âąHe simply couldnât fathom how he was dating someone so good at something!
âąHe admired the other Ultimates, but he admired you the most
âąHe probably stays by the bathroom door to hear you sing in the shower
âąHeâs always saying how much hope it brought him to hear your lovely voice!
âąEverytime you have concerts, he would always come to them
âąHe always schedules whenever your concerts are so that he can make sure heâs free, because heâd hate to miss it
âąDuring the concert, if you ever catch his eye, heâll give you a warm smile and a thumbs up to encourage you
âąHe always thinks youâre doing a splendid job
âąAt the end of the concert, he just flat out walks backstageâ his luck would help him get back there, anyways, so no one really tried to stop him
âąHe gave you a friendly greeting when he saw you, and from there on, all you got was high praise
âąâYou did amazing, S/o. On every single song, you hit every note perfectly, Iâm so proud of you. You did great, although no less than usual, maybe even more.â
âąHe definitely brought you some water, as it must be exhausting to stay on stage and sing for so long, and your throat had to be a little dry
âąThen, once you were ready to go, he followed you out, driving you back home
âąHe thinks that every concert he goes to brings him so much hope
âąButâ on a side note, he might use you talent as a way to degrade himself, while also complimenting you, so youâll have to reassure him that heâs not trash
âąâI canât believe the Ultimate Singer is dating someone as lowly... as filthy as me. Youâre so talented, so wonderful, I donât hardly deserve someone as high as you.â
âąPlease just hold him close and promise him that you love him
âąIf you ever have a day where your voice doesnât sound as good, heâll assure you that you still sound amazing!
âąYou could probably sound like a dying squirrel and heâd think it was amazing
âąSometimes, you tend to hum him to sleep
âąYouâll just pull him close to you and gently trace circles into his back while humming a light tune
âąHeâs always taken aback when you do it, but leans into your touch and almost always falls asleep easily like that
âąAs a whole, Nagito really likes your talent! He truly thinks youâre the best Ultimate there is, and that youâre doing such a wonderful job!
Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu
âąHe really loves your talent, but donât expect him to admit that!
âąHe likes listening to your voice, and thinks you have a nice one
âąHe can definitely understand as to why youâre the Ultimate Singer
âąWhen you have concerts, he loves to go to them!
âąHeâs probably the loudest one in the crowd, shouting encouragments with a wide grin on his face, giving you thumbs up regardless of if you see them or not
âąThe people beside him might have had to ask him to be quiet
âąHe did not listen
âąAt the end of the concert, you bet heâs already bought tickets to have access to the backstage
âąHe gave you a grin before reaching out and holding your hands, squeezing them lightly.
âąâS/o, that was great,â He told you, âAs usual. What else could I expect from the Ultimate Singer?â
âąHeâll lead you out of the concert, and he wants to hear all about it
âąWas it fun? Were you nervous? Did you have a good time?
âąFuyuhiko understands when your voice is tired some days, and you canât hit certain notes
âąHeâll tell you that you simply need to rest your voice, because how else are you supposed to continue if you constantly overexert it?
âąOverall, Fuyuhiko thinks youâre really talented
âąHe likes hearing you sing, and thinks youâre just so amazing
âąHeâs never going to get tired of your Ultimate!
Korekiyo Shinguji
âąAh, singing was just another beautiful part of humanity...
âąBut might he add, that you do a lovely job at doing so
âąHe loves hearing your voice, it just sounds so beautiful and laced with honey and passion...
âąHeâll never get tired of hearing it
âąWhenever you have concerts, he just adores coming to them!
âąHeâs more quiet in the crowd, but still offering reassuring nods if you ever directed your gaze his way
âąAt the end of the concert, heâll wait until you exit from the backstage and reach out to take your hand
âąâMy beloved, that was stunning,â He would always tell you
âąHe always lets you know that he just loved your songs and what you sang
âąYou really were a talented individual, huh?
âąHeâll exit the area with you and take you home, while asking you all sorts of questions on how it was like
âąKorekiyo like hearing you sing!!
âąSometimes he might just ask you to sing something for him at random
âąIt calms him down, and heâll usually be holding you close by the end of the song
âąExpect a ton of compliments from him, because he thinks youâre a great singer! He canât just not tell you how great you are
âąYou two definitely play music while cooking meals, or doing household chores
âąAnd you sing along
âąKorekiyoâs used to it at this pointâ he knows youâre great at multitasking
âąAt the end of the day, heâs always going to be supporting you with what you do
âąHe thinks youâre doing a lovely job at it, and he always will
âąBecause he loves you, and hopes you love doing your Ultimate just as much as he loves hearing it!
Celestia Ludenburg
âąOh? Singing?
âąShe finds your talent quite captivating
âąShe enjoys hearing you sing, and finds it delicate and beautiful, even when you may be singing more harsher songs
âąShe loves picking out what you wear to your concerts, if youâll let her
âąSheâll pick out something nice for you to wear, and feel proud when you step on stage with it
âąSheâll also love going to your concerts! No way she would miss them!
âąCeleste usually sits calm, straightened, and pristine in her seat, but donât let that fool you, sheâs ecstatic
âąYou sing so well, and sheâs so proud of you!
âąAt the end of the concert, she definitely bought tickets to get backstage as well, and she stepped behind, tapping you on the shoulder and greeting you
âąItâs rare to get praise from Celeste of all people, but oh boy, sheâs going to tell you just how much she liked it!
âąâS/o, you are very talented. Youâre quite a singer.â
âąSheâll then take your hand, maybe squeezing it gently and then lead you out of the area
âąShe always enjoys your concerts, because youâre her partner, and she loves hearing you do what you love with such passion
âąSheâll make you tea that can help your throat and make your voice sound clearer!
âąCeleste also sometimes hums along to certain songs with you
âąShe wonât sing the lyrics, but sheâll hum the tune
âąSo, when you really think about it, you know without a doubt Celeste loves your Ultimate! She thinks youâre talented, and that no one has a voice like yours
Hajime Hinata
âąHajime thinks your Ultimate is rather interesting and nice, although he doesnât have one himself
âąHe doesnât actively listen to much music himself, but when youâre the one singing, hell yeah!
âąHe often tells you that he thinks youâre really good at singing, and he likes the way your voice sounds
âąHe loves going to any concerts you have!!
âąHeâll give you a ton of thumbs up and just silent reassurances, because he knows you can do this
âąPlus, you always perform so well!
âąAt the end of every concert, heâll patiently wait for you until you leave the stage, and then heâll open his arms for a hug, because he just thinks you did wonderful!
âąThe way you put so much effort into your voice and all of the songs you wrote... he just really likes it, and finds it adorable
âąAt random, he likes to read the songs that you write
âąIf you need help with thinking of a line or a certain word to use, heâll help you!
âąHe also reminds you that breaks are necessary, and that you should drink some water and just relax
âąHe understands your passion for singing, he does! And he loves hearing you too, more than anything in the world
âąBut he would hate for you to overwork yourself for something you love so dearly!
âąAs a whole, he really admires your Ultimate. He thinks you do a great job, and are more than talented!
âąHe adores hearing you singâ it makes him happy to know youâre doing what you love.
Ibuki Mioda
âąIbuki was so excited whenever she knew you liked to sing!
âąYou shared hobbies with her, and she was more than ecstatic!
âąAt some point, she definitely asked you to sing WAP with her
âąWhether you did or not is up to you
âąAnywaysâ she probably asked you to throw concerts at home!
âąYou two sang songs together, and had a pretty good time laughing and singing
âąYou had to remind her to drink some water and calm down, because sheâs completely and utterly chaotic
âąShe goes to every single one of your concerts!!
âąSheâs shouting praises and encouragement at you, and it really brightens you up
âąYou also go to any concerts she goes to!
âąYou think sheâs a great singer, and she thinks you are too!
âąYou invite each other to perform at each otherâs concerts, doing duets together
âąBoth of your fans find that cool!
âąIf you ever get insecure, and think you might not be that great of a singer, sheâs always there to reassure you that you are, and she loves you!
âąYou two also tend to write songs together
âąTheyâre really fun to write, and you both always have a ton of fun
âąOverall? Your relationship is really wholesome, in all honesty. Sheâs chaotic, and at times, so are you! You both really enjoy singing together, and the pure trust you put in each other is one of the many reasons as to why you are a great couple
Peko Pekoyama
âąPeko admired you talent even when she first met you
âąShe knew she herself couldnât last a day being a singer, and she was more than proud of you for all youâve accomplished
âąShe likes to hear you sing in your meantime, whether it be a bright song to start the day while youâre cooking breakfast, or humming a soft tune in the shower
âąShe wouldnât miss one of your concerts for the world
âąAfter itâs done, sheâs sure to shower you in praise, giving you some kisses on your cheek and occasionally on your lips
âąSheâll take you home, and then sit you down with some cold water and ask about the concert, making sure to add that she enjoyed it
âąPeko really likes to hear you singing
âąShe wants to focus on the message and the meaning of the song you display so perfectly while also making it sound amazing too
âąYour voice is practically like an angel to her
âąThough, sheâs always reminding you to take breaks and take care of yourself
âąShe always offers you some water while youâre working as to not dehydrate yourself
âąReally, she loves hearing you sing, and thinks youâre really talented! Sheâll always let you know how amazing she thinks you are, because really, she loves you! And sheâs glad youâre happy with what youâre doing. Youâre not half bad at singing, either!

Confessions, Coffee, and Kisses - Part 1
It's been an awfully long day for Hinata Hajime.
Packing up his books, he stood up in one of the Reserve Course classrooms, admiring the terrifyingly clean floor.
Hinata hated this. Hated being around people who were so incredibly bland.
It just reminded him of his own bland existence.
When it comes to Hope's Peak Academy, the Main Course was the "big deal". Talented people who were the hope of the new generation. They could achieve anything they set their mind to - a clear carrier path. An obvious road to success.
... Hinata didn't have that.
A part of him wanted to accept it. A part of him wanted to give up.
Just let it be.
The universe wasn't kind enough to him to bless him with a talent, so he should just live with it.
He could only have one opinion overwriting all:
"Fuck that."
His Ultimate parents got him into the Reserve Course because of their fear for their image.
Imagine a successful, talented couple raising a child without talent.
Couldn't be them... so they did their best to hide the truth, for their own selfish desires.
Mr. Hinata long gave up on cultivating any possible talent his son might've had - he did not have any - so their so-called "family" was just a reason to keep their son alive.
He got fed, he had a roof above his head - but he never felt loved.
Hinata would never admit, but he craved validation. Which was fine, most children do... but not this way.
He developed the need to prove his worth.
This is why he attended every competition he saw fit, worked three times as hard as any of his other classmates - to get some sort of praise from his parents.
No, not praise. Any kind of acknowledgement of his existence.
He was mindlessly walking down the corridors, careful not to bump into anyone.
"Hinata!"
He heard a high-pitched male voice call out to him.
Hinata sighed, it was probably that annoying classmate again... Sakugi Kuri.
The boy always seemed a bit too happy-go-lucky to him, quite a nice contrast when it comes to the gloomy Reserve Course.
As if a gray cloud was constantly hovering over this department, while the Main Course had all the sunlight.
"What is it, Sakugi-san?
The brunette had the feeling the black haired boy felt like they were friends.
Hinata didn't really think so, but as much as he thought of Sakugi as a bother, his company was tolerable.
The shorter male looked at him with pleading eyes.
"You promised to help me out with the history homework, so please~?"
There came Hinata's signature sigh, paired with a nod.
"I did... give me your book, then."
Sakugi let out a loud "yay~" and bowed his head to Hinata, who had to give him a smile.
While they were walking out of the building, the black haired boy talked about things he found exciting.
Normal people talk.
Sakugi talked about his family, how they were planning to go on vacation to some city... Towa, was it?
Hinata just hummed as he listened, though his thoughts always seemed to drift away.
As they walked now on the streets, he noticed another one of his friends standing with a girl under a cherry tree.
Hinata's eyes widened, pulling the shorter male along with him to hide behind some bushes.
"Hinata?" Sakugi whispered curiously, obviously confused by the other's actions.
"That's one of my friends from the Main Course. He is probably getting confessed to right now."
The brunette smiled, even though not every part of him was happy for his friend's new possible relationship.
"Ah, but that is wonderful!" the boy exclaimed, and Hinata had to cover his mouth.
"Shh, be quiet, don't ruin this moment for him."
Hinata is going to be honest, he didn't really know much about Komaeda's love life. He didn't know if he liked someone at all, or if he would accept the girl's feelings.
The spring leaves were gently swaying in the wind, the sakura tree standing tall and beautiful as ever.
It was the perfect moment for a love confession, Hinata thought.
So you could imagine the confusion when he saw the girl staring at the ground, trying her best not to cry.
Sakugi raised an eyebrow, and he looked at Hinata.
"Didn't... why didn't he accept her confession?"
Hinata shrugged, honestly confused. The girl was an Ultimate as well, beautiful purple hair, pink eyes...
Then it dawned on him.
"Komaeda... is a difficult person."
That was a really accurate statement.
"It's because she is an Ultimate, isn't it? Komaeda can't indulge in being with a talented person, he wouldn't let himself do so in a thousand years."
The girl ran away crying, and Komaeda did look extremely uncomfortable.
"Sakugi-san, I've-"
"It's okay, Hinata, just talk to him."
The brunette nodded.
"Thank you for understanding. I promise I'll finish your history homework by tomorrow, okay?"
Sakugi chuckled.
"Alright, but make sure to redeem a cup of coffee."
Hinata smiled as well.
"I will, I will."
After waving to the shorter boy, Hinata made his way to Komaeda, who just helplessly stood there like a puppy.
Hinata's heart sank at the sight, so he placed his hands on the other's shoulders, as an attempt to comfort him.
"H-Hinata-kun..."
The lucky student looked our protagonist in the eye, as if searching for answers.
"Komaeda..."
Upon hearing his name, the white haired boy closed the distance between them, hugging the other male.
"Want to talk about it?"
Hinata asked cautiously after a couple of minutes, just gently rubbing the other's back.
"Hinata-kun, I just... I don't understand. She confessed to me. She doesn't even know who I am! A-and she looked so upset when I rejected her, I just froze in place... she..."
Komaeda was sobbing at this point.
As someone who rarely experienced care, a love confession out of the blue could stir up so many confusing and unwanted emotions.
"I made her cry, Hinata-kun..."
Hinata hated seeing Komaeda like this. He absolutely despised it.
... Though he didn't expect such a strong reaction after a love confession, but Komaeda was different.
Hinata carefully put together his words, not to say the wrong thing.
"But did you like her, Komaeda?"
The white haired boy shook his head, but didn't respond verbally.
"Then you did the right thing. You could've let her live a dream, a false reality... and leading her on like that would've just led to more heartbreak."
Komaeda was slowly calming down, holding Hinata tight.
"You think so?"
He asked in a small voice, which Hinata nodded to.
"As much as the truth hurts, wrapping yourself in lies will just mess you up more. It would've been so much worse if you told her later, believe me."
Komaeda sniffed, now no more tears forming in his eyes.
Hinata kept his strong but tender hold, not letting go until Komaeda wanted to.
Komaeda didn't exactly want to let go... ever, but he wouldn't say that.
So soon enough they let go of each other, not without the lucky student faking a sniff to smell Hinata's scent.
After crying, some people start to giggle. That's usually because of them feeling so overwhelmed, they don't know how else to function.
This was the reason why Komaeda chuckled, though he was much calmer than he were before.
"C-can't believe a Reserve Course Student came to comfort me... how despair-inducing."
Hinata sighed of relief. Komaeda had quite the sarcasm and his snarky comments, so whenever his friend used such abilities, Hinata knew he was alright.
That didn't keep him from rolling his eyes.
"You're welcome."
Komaeda chuckled again, and looked around to actually remind himself of his surroundings.
Hinata still had to make sure his friend was better, so he opted to ask:
"Would you like to grab a coffee?"
The lucky student gave him a small nod, being too emotionally overwhelmed right now to put up a fight.
Plus if he knew anything about Hinata, it was his stubbornness.
The brunette took him by the arm, and led him to his favourite café.
Komaeda was paying attention to the familiar route, and shook his head with a smile, and a look of disbelief.
"Hinata-kun, are you seriously taking me to Thanks a Latte again?"
The other male just shrugged with a grin on his face.
"I may be... by then, perhaps you'll be able to learn some manners, and actually thank me for caring about you."
Komaeda pouted, narrowing his eyes.
"I think someone needs to know their place here."
Hinata tried his best to hold back a laugh, though he failed miserably.
"Oh really~?"
Komaeda sighed in fake disappointment.
"This is exactly why I don't hang out with people from the Reserve Course. All of you are so cocky."
The brunette chuckled as they were walking down the streets, turning the corner of Lollipop Street.
"Mhm... then why are you hanging out with me so often?"
Hinata loved playing this game. Whatever this game was.
Komaeda blushed, but he tried to give a rebuttal.
"W-well, because I have nothing else to do, of course. And you seem oddly obsessed with me, so I might just let you live your dreams of befriending an Ultimate."
Hinata shook his head again, giving Komaeda a "yeah yeah sure, keep telling that to yourself." before he stopped at the door to the café.
The brunette knew Komaeda was hanging out with him because he enjoyed his company - and because Komaeda always seemed so lonely whenever he saw him.
He knew Komaeda liked him; just not in a way the lucky student actually did.
Hinata opened the door the usual way.
"After you, my liege."

Nagito's dementia and misuse of information
CAN PEOPLE STOP TRYING TO USE FRONTOTEMPORAL DEMENTIA SYMPTOMS TO EXPLAIN HIM?
.
What I mean is, yes he has dementia or is at least diagnosed with it
And I believe that he probably does actually have dementia (not saying he could've lied tho but he could've still been misdiagnosed)
But that doesn't mean he has all of the symptoms
.
I don't think we can confirm if he does or doesn't have dementia because he might just not have all of the symptoms
But I do know that using the symptoms to explain his character isn't a good idea especially since it usually undermines who he actually is
.
So stop using his dementia as a way to explain EVERYTHING HE DOES AND IS
He doesn't even have all the symptoms and is close to having almost none of them
Using a mental illness to explain a character's entire character is a bad idea and makes it seem like it's who they are entirely
Yes Nagito is diagnosed with dementia however that isn't who he is entirely
He is a complicated character with a lot of layers
And his illnesses definitely don't make up ALL OF HIS LAYERS AND CHARACTER
.
Okay now, let me explain
(These are a combination of all of the symptoms of Frontotemporal dementia that I have gathered)
.
(I AM NOT TRYING TO PROVE HE DOESN'T HAVE DEMENTIA BECAUSE HE MIGHT STILL HAVE IT, I'M JUST TRYING TO POINT OUT WHY USING THE SYMPTOMS TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING HE DOES IS A BAD THING)
.
Now onto the symptoms:
.
Behavior and/or dramatic personality changes, such as swearing, stealing, increased interest in sex, or a deterioration in personal hygiene habits
- No, and no not even when the killing game started. Yeah sure he laughs now, but that's no different from how he is normally since laughing for him is what he does when he gets surprised or stressed. He doesn't change much in the killing game, he still believes in hope and everyone else, still respects boundaries, still have crazy high intellect and empathy, still pushes people away
.
Socially inappropriate, impulsive, or repetitive behaviors
- not really, again the guy is a freaking gentleman even during the killing game. He respects boundaries, reprimands Teruteru for sexual assault during chapter 1, pushes people away and distances himself from others, isn't at all impulsive (usually quite the opposite really), and is usually planning and tries to remain calm and composed throughout the killing game (struggling tho cuz yeah killing game)
.
Impaired judgment
- here, I kinda disagree. I wouldn't say that Nagito is entirely in the right with everything he does, but I understand his views. The guy knows that no one is truly a bad person in the killing game because everyone was forced into it. He knows that even the blackened escapes and everyone dies, it isn't fully a bad thing because that means someone escapes and goes back home to their loved ones while the killing game ends
If a blackened succeeds, the despair would be of course everyone else dying and the blackened going through a lot of trauma, but the hope would be the end of the killing game and the blackened going home or to their loved ones or to their goal in life or whatever
If the blackened dies, the despair would obviously be the blackened dying and the killing game still continuing, while the hope would be everyone else still alive
Nagito isn't exactly wrong in wanting to help the blackened as well, of course, Nagito would want him himself to be the victim so another person gets a chance at escape and no one else would be the victim
Sadly for Nagito, that time never comes
Nagito doesn't want others to be killed, he wants to sacrifice himself instead as the victim instead of everyone else
.
Apathy
- .....big no. Nonononono. The dude is anything but apathetic.
"Apathy is a lack of feeling, emotion, interest, or concern about something."
Seriously, being a dude who is constantly supportive of everyone and their hopes in life and how passionate this dude gets about hope and despair, and the fact that he is the most stressed 24/7 about something bad happening due to his luck, this guy is seriously anything but apathetic
.
Lack of empathy
- No. If the guy truly lack empathy he wouldn't need to use Hope desperately as a coping mechanism, wouldn't care about the ultimates and their hopes and despairs, wouldn't constantly be thinking about helping the ultimates and overcoming despair, wouldn't be the most stressed out of everyone, and definitely wouldn't be in love with Hajime or even act the way he did in chapter 1
.
Decreased self-awareness
- You don't actually understand why you act the way you do. A good indicator that you lack self-awareness deals with how well you understand your emotions, actions, and behavior. People who lack self-awareness often feel constantly off-kilter, anxious, or angry.
This is not Nagito at all. The guy understands his emotions and behaviors which is why he is able to do the things he does and is able to conduct plans based on how much he understands his own self and capabilities. The guy is actually the most self-aware out of everyone, he knows about how people don't understand him and constantly misunderstand him and his intentions, he is aware constantly of his inability sometimes to properly explain his goals to people.
The guy has a lot of self-awareness and isn't afraid to take responsibility for his actions. Actually, it's because of how self-aware he is of his own self and his destructive luck cycle that he constantly blames himself for anything bad that happens.
The guy is seriously self-aware as hell and it's scary sometimes
.
Loss of interest in normal daily activities
- Nope, he hasn't shown any sign of apathy towards anything and is usually pretty hyped about doing daily activities. He is paranoid though on the daily because he fears for what his luck cycle might do
.
Emotional withdrawal from others
- Emotional withdrawal involves bottling up your emotions. It involves cutting out the people who could help us, because we're so used to rejection that we've learned to anticipate it. Because we've learned to disconnect from others, we develop other unhealthy coping mechanisms
Emotional withdrawal is defined as pulling back emotionally or physically by bottling up your feelings or disconnecting from others. Emotional withdrawal can be far more complex at times. It is comparable to a breakup, in every way but physical.
Kind of? Yes, he pushes people away, but he is still willing to spend time with people, especially Hajime, when they really insist. He politely pushes people away, but he isn't opposed to hanging out with people either though it is sometimes rare
.
Loss of energy and motivation
- .... I already said it before, the guy is full of motivation and energy and passion that it is scary sometimes
.
Inability to use or understand language; this may include difficulty naming objects, expressing words, or understanding the meanings of words
-.....WHY IS THIS HERE? THE GUY IN THE JAPANESE DUB CONSTANTLY FLEXES HIS DAMN ENGLISH VOCABULARY DESPITE IT BEING A JAPANESE DUB
AND THE FUCKING ENGLISH WORDS HE USES ARE FANCY AND HIGH LEVEL AS FUCK THAT I FEEL SMART JUST READING THEM
.
Hesitation when speaking
- Definite no, the guy isn't afraid to voice his own opinions and never hesitates and can get very vocal about the things he is passionate about
.
Less frequent speech
- Again, definite hell no. I wouldn't be surprised if his voice lines are longer than the voice lines of everyone else combined
.
Distractibility
- Nope. The guy is focused on his goals constantly. No matter what he does, you can always be sure that it is for a certain goal. He pisses of Fuyuhiko? It was to get a reaction from him to confirm his suspicions about the true culprit. He lied about the rope? It was to see how Mikan would react and how the trial would go to confirm his suspicions about Mikan being the culprit?
The guy is focused like a damn soldier
.
Trouble planning and organizing
-.....do I seriously need to explain? This is Nagito we are talking about
.
Frequent mood changes
- Not really. He usually acts or reacts a certain way because something happened like someone died or something. He is actually pretty normal with how he acts and reacts and doesn't really change his mood rapidly that much
.
Agitation
- Yes and no? Sure the guy gets paranoid 24/7, but is still somewhat more chill than agitated to an extent. He is easy going and is just paranoid about what his luck would do, he is vigilant but not necessarily agitated
.
Increasing dependence
- No. The guy is independent to a fault and only relies on others when his plans call for it. He also usually does things of his own accord and rarely with a partner unless he really needs to or his goal is to help that person specifically, which knowing him is a usual thing
.
Unwillingness to talk
- Again, no. The guy talks a lot and while he pushes others away, he wouldn't turn down a conversation if the other person wanted one
.
Lack of inhibition or lack of social tact
- Again, no. The guy is a gentleman and respects boundaries and definitely gets stressed especially in the killing game. The guy is also paranoid 24/7 on a normal day due to his luck cycle
.
Obsessive or repetitive behavior, such as compulsively shaving or collecting items
- No? Sure he clings to hope but that is more of a coping mechanism. If he isn't in a stressful situation like a killing game he doesn't get that obsessive as much about hope since he doesn't need to desperately cling to it as a coping mechanism
.
Unusual verbal, physical or sexual behavior
- No? He isn't at all like this. It isn't unusual to panic or use a coping mechanism desperately when in a situation like a killing game, and he doesn't do anything unusual like this when it's a normal day. Sure the guy gets paranoid, but that's it
.
Weight gain due to dramatic overeating
- No? Actually, I don't really know how much weight he gains to be honest so idk
.
.
.
My main point here is, yes there is a chance Nagito does actually have dementia, but using the symptoms as a way to explain his character undermines who he actually is and can cause a lot of misunderstandings of his character
Especially since I remember being told that they only added in dementia to his character backstory a little late during his character development and creation
It isn't a good idea to use his symptoms because it usually gets his character wrong and sometimes makes them excuse a lot of the things he has done
The guy is self-aware, isn't socially inept, is a gentleman, and socially intelligent as hell
.
And again
Stop using his dementia as a way to explain EVERYTHING HE DOES AND IS
He doesn't even have all the symptoms and is close to having almost none of them
Using a mental illness to explain a character's entire character is a bad idea and makes it seem like it's who they are entirely
Yes Nagito is diagnosed with dementia however that isn't who he is entirely
He is a complicated character with a lot of layers
And his illnesses definitely don't make up ALL OF HIS LAYERS AND CHARACTER

Can I request Izuru, Rantaro, Shuchi, and hajimemes with a really short (5'1) With a really Hyper Male Ultimate Hacker S/O? Like he could be donating to charity at one moment, Next moment he's hacking into the Japanese Government's computer? Thank you! =D Have a great day!
Th-thank you, our lovely anon! Please have an a-amazing day as well!
This was my first time writing ShĆ«ichi and RantarĆ⊠*blush* d-does it show?
Not me using "you" for every prompt
Izuru
He is decidedly Not Boredâą with you around
You can go from "Aw, kitty!" to "AHAHAHA YOU CAN'T STOP ME!" within seconds and he loves it
And the height difference is kind of precious to him, even though he won't say it out loud
You two will have little competitions on who can hack the government first
They're getting very tired with you two
"Please, hack someone else"
The next day you two team up and the government finds that at the top of every page there is now random pictures of boats
And so they gave up
Izuru was happy about the boat pictures for a while
Izuru can always sense when you're going to go into a hyper mood and will put something stimulating (games, computer, etc.) in front of you to help
And then his S/O discovered his hair was quite nice to run his fingers through
And now Izuru just lays his head on yours before you go into a hyper mood and it'll usually end up being braided or something countless times
He honestly just loves watching you type, the sound is soothing to him
With that comes watching you hack into charities' funds to give thousands of needed dollars
"That is⊠admirable."
You experience emotions so differently than he, and he finds it "research-worthy"
He's just making up an excuse to stare at your face to be honest
That's how he figured out your tells of switching moods
"S/O, you need to lay on the bed before you shut down"
"YOU CAN'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO, I'M A GOD! AND YOU ARE MY LIEGE THAT I LOVE SO VERY MUCH-" You slump over and he's there to catch you, shaking his head.
"I told you."
RantarĆ
With him, before the start of your relationship, you would hack his phone and at the most random times there'd suddenly be an avocado on his phone
Especially when he looks sad or something-
Boom. Avocado.
Whenever you jump around or tap your leg, he doesn't find it annoying, rather it's endearing to him!
How did you two start dating? Well, it's kind of a funny story! You had heard RantarĆ talk about his missing sisters before and you were like "oh, okay" and the next time you went into a hyperactive mood, you spent all night tracking down one of his sisters using your hacking skills
Once you had let the sister know where you two went to school, she sped over from where she was
It was a tearful reunion and S/O sat back, glad he could use his skills for something good
"What do you mean, how did I find you? It was your boyfriend that found me!"
"Boyfriend?"
"You know⊠S/O? He spoke so fondly of you that he just had to be your boyfriend or something!"
RantarĆ whipped around and stared at you, then suddenly wrapped you in a warm hug. "Thank you so much, S/O."
Then he planted a kiss on your cheek, holding you close as he caught up with his sister
One by one, you managed to track down his sisters
But in between?
*Furious typing* "BABE I'M HACKING THE JAPANESE GOVERNMENT" "Oh, cool"
He's very fascinated with your work, watching as he holds you or lays down on the bed or something
"What's that?" "*Explanation*" "Oooh, I see. How about that?"
His heart just melts when you donate to a charity, legally or illegally
Though he's going to have to put a cap on how much you can take from the government
"Two thousand dollars a week is the max!" "AwâŠ!"
Whatever mood you're in, he's always open for hugs/kisses/cuddles
He chuckles whenever he has to lean down for a kiss
Shƫichi
He always smiles whenever he sees you doing something good with your hacking or donating (or both at the same time)
"That's noble of you, S/O!"
Cut the scene to him getting a case on a hacker that infiltrated the government website
He looked at you suspiciously that night as you two ate.
"Strange question, S/O, but⊠did you maybe, um, hack the government yesterday?"
"Hm? Yeah, that was me. They're pretty lax on their defences, so I beefed it up a bit."
"S-still, that's illegal!"
"Illegal, schmegal."
At first, with your hyper-ness, he was taken off guard by the swift changes in your mood.
"Gyaaaaah! Wh-why are you hugging me all of a sudden?! S/O?!"
Shƫichi was taken aback the first time you helped him solve a case through hacking
"Huh Y-you did that for me?"
Always up to cuddle when you want, even if it's super spontaneous!
You're a perfect fit in his arms!
Hajime
Aw⊠you're pretty small to him and he finds that adorable!! (But he's the Ultimate Tsuntsun, so he won't be saying that out loud-)
"Hi, yes, I'm looking for two gremlins. One of them is Komaeda, who probably has set a school on fire. The other one is S/O, you don't want to know what he can do."
He has experience with illegal behaviour before with Nagito, so he figures that it can't be too different⊠right?
Incorrect.
So very incorrect.
"Oh, you're donating to a charity? That's amazing, I'm glad you're using your talent for something you love!" Versus "S/O, that's⊠very illegal."
He once decided that he should have you and Nagito meet, due to some similar tendencies.
BAD IDEA
With your talents combined, you ended up hacking the government's funds and buying a bunch of cat stickers, extra added because of Nagito's luck.
Hajime came back with lunch and when he saw you two laughing maniacally at the computer, he sweat-dropped
"I was gone for twenty minutes, you two couldn't have done something too bad⊠ri--IS THAT THE GOVERNMENT WEBSITE?! S/O! DID YOU HACK THE GOVERNMENT?!"
When the government got the cat stickers, they didn't know what to do.
There were 5000$ worth of cat stickers in there
Help them
Hajime once hid all of your computers to get you to stop doing illegal things
S/O was miffed a bit
"I just don't want you to get arrested!" "NO KISSES FOR A MONTH"
Apart from your hyper hacking, he's always taken by surprise whenever you change from mellow to "HUG ME NOW I WANT CUDDLES" but he finds it really endearing
Has taken over cooking duties because of your hyper tendencies may cause you to get hurt sometimes
Writing RantarĆ was super-duper new to me, I hope I got it alright!
Please let me know if anything's too weakâŠ
-Mod Chihiro

Hajime and Rantaro sing to comfort their S/O
Hajime Hinata:
·      You always overthought everything. No matter what you did or said, moments later youâd just think it over and over and over again. Often this cycle lead to the not so great result of you panicking turning a simple greeting to a person, into you worrying, thinking maybe you insulted the person. Your mind tended to take more pessimistic lines of thinking which certainly didnât help.
·      It was a bad habit of yours to overthink everything, but it had itâs perks. Often when others were making plans youâd realize things they never thought of. It saved you and Hajime from being caught outside during the rain when on a date more times than either of you could count. It was an aspect of you Hajime was rather found of, though he didnât like how it troubled you sometimes.
·      After years of dating Hajime knew the two best ways to help you were to either get you to think of something else, or talk out the various scenarios you came up with, you soon laughing at yourself with how extreme your imagination could go before letting go of the subject.
·      Thankfully these were both things he could still do long distance. Since he joined Hopeâs Peak he had to move away and live in the dormitories on campus. After school heâd call and talk with you. Youâd chat about whatever either of you wanted.
·      One day after school Chiaki noticed he was rather spacey and asked what was wrong. He simply said he missed his partner and wanted to chat with you, which⊠it was true, to an extent. He knew he couldnât speak of it, of the experiment Hopeâs Peak had offered to him, the most plain, unremarkable student at the school. An experiment that could turn him into a different person, the Ultimate Ultimate. He couldnât tell you, but⊠this was a lot to take in. Even if he couldnât tell you, he just wanted to hear you. Maybe he could give a vague scenario like his and ask for your over analysis of it. Or maybe just not think of it, just laugh about nothing and momentarily and go back to it with a clearer head later.
·      He sat on his bed, just staring at his phone. Taking a deep breath, he tapped the call button. He listened to that ringing drone on in his hear, holding the device to it. One ring, two rings, three rings, fo- click. âAh, hey Hajime. Not gaming with Nanami today?â âNo, I want to be with you right now. Though you sound a bit⊠on edge.â âHeh, heh. Yeah, one blunder after another.â He heard the rubbing of some fabric on your end, likely you flopping onto your bed, looking exhausted as you snuggle into the pillows as you so often did when your overthinking became overwhelming, where you were just stuck in your head and couldnât escape.
·      Alright so talking through it all may be a bit too taxing for you right now, so distraction. But what to do? Send you a funny video? A meme? Maybe send you a song? Oh maybe⊠Maybe he could sing? That way he wouldnât have to cut the call short, and who knows maybe heâd sing so horribly he could draw a laugh from you. Hajime didnât have much going for him, but one thing he did have, was determination, and he was determined to help alleviate your stresses.
·      Admittedly this was rather embarrassing, but if it was for you, heâd do whatever it took.
·      He started off softly humming nothing in particular just, feeling his way though this new experience, he never sang or at least never sang much before this moment. Soon he opened his mouth allowing the words to some song on the radio that kept playing recently. It wasnât perfect, he forgot the lyrics part way through and fumbled when switching to some other song with a similar sound. Though unsure what he was doing, he still tried, a stubbornness in himself he never could quite shake, even if it got him into trouble when he was little.
·      Suddenly he was cut off, a sneeze startling him to silence. âSorry Hajime.â âHuh, no, no. Donât be sorry.â You still sounded haggard. You thanked him and started talking about the latest volume of your favorite manga series you had read that day. He should have known. He should have known that someone like him couldnât do much. Maybe, if he were the Super High School Level singer, he truly could have eased you.
·      If he were just better, more powerful in some way, he could help you. You knew how to deal with your buzzing thoughts, but he wanted to be able to do more.
·      AndâŠ
·      Maybe.
·      Just maybe he could.
·      If he were someone else.
·      âŠ
·      At times, his stubbornness truly could be troublesome.
   Rantaro Amami:
·      Ah singing. A leisurely pass time Rantaro often did without notice. He whistled as he went about doing chores, hum as he went out for strolls, mumble lyrics of songs he knew should he hear them.
·      He loved music. If he hadnât spent his time searching for his sisters, he may have dedicated himself to music and could have become the Super High School Level Musician or DJ or something similar. But his sisters meant more than anything else to him, so his own passions were set on the back burner indefinitely till he found each and every last one. Afterall, how could he even think of pursuing that passion without those who ignited that passion in the first place.
·      And you, his partner often found him partaking in this hobby. âHow come you always hum so much?â âHum? WellâŠâ He paused for a moment, leaning against the railing, looking out to the open ocean, the salty sea air racing past flowing through his hair, tossing it about. âHeh, just like everything else, it goes back to my sisters. When they had nightmares, Iâd lay next to them in bed and Iâd sing. It was the only thing I could think of to sooth them.â He fell silent his gaze lingering on that crisp, clear blue before shifting back to you. âHey, whatâs wrong.â âAh, I just⊠A thought just occurred to me. A random connection you might say.â You momentarily glanced away from him, your troubled expression shifting to something soft, something gentle. âYour sisters being missing. Would you call this a living nightmare?â â⊠I see what youâre getting at.â He slithered an arm around your waist and pulled you close, looking back to the ocean. âI guess I mostly sing and hum when my mind wanders, often to them.â âBut it canât work, right. You sang to your sisters, they didnât sing to themselves so for you to be soothed, you need someone to sing to you.â A light blush dusted your cheeks as you nuzzled into him, humming slowly transitioning into soft singing.â
·      And that was how you started singing for him. It was always at times you knew his mind wandered to them, wondering how they were, if they were safe and happy. He always smiled when you sang. Heâd be a little extra affectionate, wanting to show he really, truly appreciated you and what you were doing for him. You were so amazing, he had no idea what heâd do if he lost you too, so he always held your hand, no matter where the pair of you went.
·      You tried going searching with Rantaro as often as you could, but you had your own life and responsibilities to take care of so many times you had to make things work long distance. No matter what time it was for Rantaro, day or night, youâd call him as you slipped into bed, and youâd sing to him only stopping as you fell asleep. Even though youâd never hear it, Rantaro would whisper you wishes of well rest and sweet dreams before ending the call. Heâd then hold the phone to his chest, goofily smiling, telling anyone near by how amazing you, his partner was. This gesture absolutely melted his heart each and every time he couldnât keep his affection for you all bottled in, he had to tell someone!
·      Though he wished to find his sisters more than anything, coming back to you was always a treat, he could finally shower you in all the love and affection you deserved. But one time when he reunited with you- âHey, hey, whatâs wrong?â âSorry, justâŠâ A deep sigh escaped you as you slightly went limp. âitâs been a real long day.â He hugged you, unable to continue looking into your dewy eyes.
·      The moment he could, he coaxed you to bed, having you rest your head in his lap and there you let out all the madness that had been swirling around you. He had to do something to at least alleviate your pain in the moment. He didnât even think about it, it was simply instinctive. And so, he sung. He sung your favorite song hoping to sooth you.
·      Which it did?
·      He was confused hearing you trying to hold in a laugh. âWhatâs gotten you so giggly?â âN-no, no, ignore me. Keep singing.â And so he did, but once more stopped when you burst into laughter. âS-sorry, sorry!â âY/N⊠I only ever told you I sang to sooth my sisters, right? Well, I never said I was any good at singing, and whatâs more soothing than laughter?â So his serenade continued, belting out without holding back, making up silly lyrics when he couldnât recall the real ones, his tone constantly wavering making you think he were tone deaf. Normally something like this would be grating on the ears but he put so much energy and passion into it, it couldnât help but become endearing in some form.
·      Though he loved it, he was not good at singing, but he didnât care. Good or bad, it helped you and his sisters, and that was all that mattered to him.

Wrapped up...mostly.
[Future Foundation Branch Chief Meeting Office, 10:42am]
You called Mrs Nae-Kiri?
*A day later Hajime, Mahiru, Fuyuhiko and Peko, as well as Chiaki, are called into the Branch Chief meeting office to meet with Kyoko.Â
What the situation Mrs Chairwoman?
No real situation. Iâve just been meaning to ask a few things.
Come, you may all take a seat.
*Everyone obliges.
So, what do you need of us.
First and foremost...I need to thank you...For a few things.
I understand the UUV were just victims of greater societyâs pressure. They were all just children, who couldnât accept the rigged hand life had dealt them.
Damn right.
But even so...Thank you for dealing with them so swiftly...
And Iâm sorry things ended the way that they did...
Itâs fine...What happened happened...I know better now than to let it get to my head...Itâll only hurt the people around me...
...
*He glances at Mahiru when he says that.
Though I have to ask...And this is really just out of curiosity over anything else...
In the case that Ayumu Fujimori survived this conflict, what would you have done?
Well...To be honest, I donât know. I know I would have tried to help him earn parole, like we all did together before, but after that, he was free to make his own decisions.
But...living life as an Ultimate Hope wouldnât have been easy. I could have helped him through it I guess.
Itâd be like the older generation who has the tragic power training the younger generation who awakened to it more recently. The old sharing knowledge to the young! Like a sensei and his student!
Iâm not THAT old!
Jokes aside, that actually sounds rather entertaining. I would have liked to see that.
Yeah, but thatâs all just a pipe dream now.
...
Iâm sorry...I-I didnât mean...
No, itâs fine, I know you didnât mean it.
Moving on, Maâam?
Of course...another thing I wanted to thank you for is that youâve really saved everyone here from greater ruin too.
...How?
As you know, after the incident regarding Nagito was made public, the Future Foundationâs reputation ended up in the toilet.
It was a struggle. We had protestors coming to the doors of the office buildings and even Hopeâs Peak Academy every so often.
I didnât know about that...!
Well, we were on Jabberwock Island, werenât we? Itâs a lot harder to bring a protest to a remote island than it is a school or office building.
Fair point...Still, that sucks.
No, itâs no issue. After all...
When you stood up to the government and made that speech in front of them, when it hit social media, it seemed to almost restore peopleâs faith in us.
Of course, our standing isnât the best right now...
But itâs reached a sense of...normality, letâs say. If nothing else, the chances of your group being misplaces by Future Foundation are very minimal right now.
Really?
Thatâs great!
Itâs a start I guess.
You should be proud of yourself Hajime. Youâre a hero.
*sigh* No Iâm not. Iâm not worthy enough to be called a hero. This isnât some weekend shounen manga.
Fair enough. Que sera sera.
Onto more pressing matters though...What exactly are your plans from here on out.
The issue with the UUV is resolved. Now what?
We move this fight to Zetsubou. The battleâs over, but the war is just beginning.
Thatâs right. After all, the Organization still has Seiko in their clutches. Our top priority right now should be rescuing her.
We have no reason to hold back against them now. After all, Seiko is a Branch Chief. This issue affects the Foundation, especially the members of her Branch.
About that, Iâve been meaning to ask...Now that Seikoâs MIA, who will be taking over the duties of her branch?
I was originally going to place it in the hands of another branch chief, but who knows how long theyâll be taking over her duties until we can get her back.
Fortunately, Nekomaru Nidai has already approached me and offered to take up the mantle for the time being.
Nekomaru did?
I guess thatâs fine. Nekomaruâs a good leader and a great inspirational speaker. Heâs loud and obnoxious to a fault, but even so, heâs good at pulling people in.
I reckon heâll run things a little different than Seiko did but...I can vouch for the big guy. Heâs a natural born leader.
Letâs hope he can keep it up.
Well, Iâm not against offering some advice to him. If he needs help with anything, Iâll pitch in and lend him a hand or two.
As will the rest of us I should hope. Still, Iâm grateful to him.
And...one last question...
What of Nagito Komaeda?
...
...
...
...
...
Do you currently have any plans to find him?
Honestly...not really. Iâm kind of waiting for Nagito to make the first move, since I donât know whether to treat him as an enemy or not yet.
If he wants to fight, Iâm all for it, but I think he knows by now heâs incapable of taking me on his own strength.
Still, he made it clear to me he left so he could find Seiko. If weâre looking for the same thing, chances are our paths will cross again at some point.
And when that happens?
Weâll deal with him in any way he can.
Very good. So long as you keep your word on that, thatâs all I wanted to hear.
*RING* *RING*
*All of a sudden, the office phone next to Kyoko starts to ring. She frowns, clearly not expecting this call.
...? Whatâs this about?
*She picks up the phone.
Whatâs going on?
I dunno.
Yes? Hello?
Yes, this is Kyoko Naegi of Branch 1, whatâs the problem?
...
What...!?
Y-Youâre being serious!?
Whatâs going on?
...Yes, I understand...Donât worry, I will find a way to deal with this...
Thank you very much for calling me.
*She hangs up.
Wh-Whatâs going on Kyoko?
Not much good, Iâll tell you that...
Remember last night, after the UUV members were captured? We placed the ringleaders in an armored vehicle for transportation to the containment facility.
Yes, I remember. What happened?
It turns out...the driver of that vehicle was a UUV soldier in disguise...
...!
Th-Then does that mean...!
The vehicle naturally never showed up to the facility. Most of the other soldiers were taken in, but Itsuki, Todoroki, Koga and Sakuma...theyâre on the run again.
DAMMIT!
These guys really donât know when to quit do they?
But what will they do? They donât have Ayumu anymore, without him, theyâve lost basically 90% of their collective power.
Whatever the case is, I guess the situation isnât really over yet.
Weâre gonna need to find them...
