So tales of the empire comes out soon! And here’s what I’m hoping will be addressed; echo, Wolffe, howzer, the whole clone rebellion Rex has going on, and not to be too hopeful Cody. Realistically it will probably only show Wolffes defection but it will still be better than nothing.

Round 3 *ding ding ding*
(Should I start apologizing yet?)
Fives and "You should have told me this was going on. I would've put a stop to it the second I heard about it."
Please and thank you, my love 💚💚💚
@the-bad-batch-baroness
Bodyguard
Summary: After you get yelled at by Captain Rex for something that's not true, Fives comes to comfort you.
Pairing: ARC Trooper Fives x Reader
Word Count: 1123
Warnings: Fives is horny on main for the reader, but it's just suggestive comments and him being unable to keep his hands to himself.
Tagging: @trixie2023
A/N: This is another part to my Gryffin Industries AU, wherein bad things happen to the clones, and this company comes up behind them makes it better?

You smile pleasantly at Captain Rex, “I’m not sure what the problem is, Captain. The agreement between Gryffin Industries and the GAR remains as it always has been.”
“You take my brothers and experiment on them,” Rex says bitterly.
You gaze at him placidly, “That is not at all how I see it.”
“Then why am I not allowed to see Echo?” Rex demands.
You sigh silently, “Captain. You cannot see Echo because he is recovering from a series of surgeries to remove the unnecessary hardware as well as repair some of the damage that wasn’t properly repaired originally.”
Rex pauses, “But…he’s alright?”
“He’s alive. And we’re working on making sure he stays that way, Captain.” You say soothingly.
Rex taps his fingers on the table, and then he scowls, “Okay, then why do they,” He motions to the guard standing silently behind you, “Never remove their helmets.”
“That’s their choice, Captain.” You chide gently, “We certainly don’t tell them that they have to keep their face covered at all times. And though you might not like it, they don’t have to listen to you anymore.”
He bristles slightly, and leans over the table, only to pause when the man standing behind you shifts slightly, “Why don’t you take your helmet off?” Rex demands.
“Because I have a computer in my helmet that helps me keep track of everything happening in the room,” Checkmate replies dryly, “As well as everything happening on this floor.” Checkmate tilts his head to the side, “You needn’t worry, Captain. We’re very well treated here. Better treated here than we ever were in the GAR.”
“Be nice, Checkmate.” You warn.
“His actions are openly hostile to you, Doctor.” Checkmate replies flatly.
“He has every reason to be worried about his brothers,” You remind him.
Checkmate scoffs, “Yeah, well. It’s a good thing your normal bodyguard has the day off, or else the good Captain would have found himself thrown out a window.”
“You…what?” Rex asks, offended.
“We’re all very protective of the Doc here.” Checkmate says, “After all, it’s because of her that I can walk at all.” He pauses, “In fact, I might fling you out the window just because I can.”
“Checkmate!”
“Fine, fine. I’m done.” The taller man settles, “but so is this meeting. I have a date in half an hour.” He pulls himself away from the door and motions for Rex to follow him, “Come on. I’ll give you a rundown on how things actually are for vod’e who live here.”
You slump against your chair as soon as they’re gone, and less than three minutes later the secret door in your bookshelf opens, and Fives walks into the room. He’s dressed in his armor, and he is wearing his helmet, though he removes it as soon as he sees that you’re alone.
You smile at him tiredly, and as soon as he sits in an empty chair you stand and move yourself onto his lap and you lay your head on his shoulder. Fives’ arms hook firmly around your waist and he lightly rubs his cheek against your hair. “You seem exhausted, cyar’ika.” He murmurs.
“I am exhausted.” You reply, “Captain Rex just left.”
Fives’ grip tightens for a moment, and then relaxes, “Oh?”
“Mm. Someone has been telling stories about Gryffin Industries.” You grumble as your eyes close, “Apparently we’re experimenting on you and your brothers.”
A dreamy grin crosses Fives face, “Yeah, and it’s awesome. We should do that more often.”
You giggle and shake your head, “Not that kind of experimentation.”
“Oh. The not fun kind of experimentation. Yeah, you don’t do that.”
You shoot him an amused look, “No, I don’t. It’s not permitted at all. But someone is telling the Captains and the Commanders that we are.”
Fives arches an eyebrow, “They have no proof, though.”
“No, they don’t.” You bury your face against his neck and inhale deeply, “Doesn’t stop them from yelling at me though.”
“...what?”
“Mm. Rex didn’t yell, but Checkmate did think he was going to attack me for a moment.” You reply as your eyes close and you keep your face pressed against his neck, “And Commander Bly and General Secura were here the other day, accusing me of personally experimenting on clones-”
“Babe.” Fives gently pulls you away from his neck for a moment, and he cups your face, “You should have told me this was going on. I would've put a stop to it the second I heard about it.”
“They think you’re dead, Fives.” You remind him gently, remembering well the way that Echo shattered when he saw Fives for the first time, you card your fingers through his hair and he sighs, “Besides, we knew that Palpatine would try to discredit us with the Jedi.”
“They shouldn’t be taking it out on you,” Fives grumbles, and you smile as you lightly drag your nails across his scalp, and he groans. “Babe. Cyar’ika. Keep doing that.” He pleads with you.
You giggle again but continue doing as he asks. “I spoil you, love.”
“And I love you for it.” Fives replies with a boyish grin as he pulls you into a proper kiss, “Actually, I just love you in general.”
“Well, aren’t I lucky then.” You reply with an adoring smile.
Fives just grins at you even wider. “Babe,” He coos, “You’ve been working so hard.”
“Yes, I have. And I still have work to do.” You reply, “We’re close to repairing the damage to Tup’s brain-”
“Cyare~” He coos again, as his lips move to a spot just under your ear, where he proceeds to suck a mark onto your skin, “As important as that is, it’s not your project yet.”
“I…yes…that’s true…” You stutter.
“And you’ve been working so hard,” He repeats.
“That’s…also true.”
“You should take a break.” He lightly nips your earlobe, and you release a shaky breath, “Just a small break,” Fives prods.
“I suppose a small break wouldn’t hurt,” You whisper, and a triumphant grin crosses his face. “But only a small one,” You add hastily.
“Oh, of course.” Fives effortlessly lifts you in his arms, “Scouts honor and all.”
“I mean it, Fives, a short break only.” You say as you hook your arms around his neck as he carries you over to the elevator.
“Don’t worry so much, princess. I’ll take care of you.” Fives promises as he drops a kiss to your temple, “And then, when you’re nice and relaxed, you can go back to saving my brothers.”
“Yeah, yeah.”
His eyes glitter with laughter, “My own personal Saint,” Fives teases, “I definitely worship you enough-”
“Fives!” You yelp, and he bursts into laughter as the elevator door dings shut.

I have a lot of gripes with the Ahsoka series but probably the biggest is that the only relationship of Ahsoka’s that the show-runners seem to give a shit about is her relationship with Anakin. yes, of course, their relationship is incredibly important and it’s very special to me, but it’s not the only one Ahsoka has. don’t get me wrong, I love Hayden Christensen, I love Anakin, the Clone Wars flashbacks were my favorite part of the series.
but what about all of Ahsoka’s other relationships? what about Rex and Barriss and Plo Koon and Padmé and Obi-Wan? we got a very very brief Rex appearance, but not so much as a mention of any of the others. do they just not matter? it was an 8 episode series, so of course I didn’t expect them to address every single person Ahsoka has ever known, but no one aside from Anakin? really?
Tumblr media
Rex is literally her only close friend still alive at this point and he only appeared in flashbacks. where is he? (is he safe? is he alright?) there’s a part of me that’s thankful they didn’t mention Barriss because I don’t trust any of these mfs not to do her dirty. but she still played an important role in Ahsoka’s life and we don’t even know what happened to her. Barriss’ role in TCW is literally why Ahsoka says she’s not a Jedi in Rebels, but apparently now she’s a Jedi again? huh???
Tumblr media
it’s not just the lack of other relationships, it’s also how they dealt with Anakin and Ahsoka’s relationship. I know some people were expecting an apology, which I wasn’t because I interpreted Anakin’s appearance as a manifestation of Ahsoka’s subconscious, but the fact that she wasn’t even mad at him in the slightest rubbed me the wrong way. “oh but Jedi aren’t supposed to get mad!!!” 1. that’s an egregious oversimplification and just not true, 2. Ahsoka isn’t a Jedi anymore anyway, and 3. in Rebels, Ahsoka felt more guilt than anger, but that was before Anakin literally tried to kill her!!!! Ahsoka in TCW (and in Rebels, too, though she’s mellowed out a bit as she’s matured) just has so much fire, so where was that in the series? even if she does still feel guilt for Anakin’s fall, she should still be at least a little pissed at him!! I loved seeing them together again. I loved it so much. Hayden and Ariana were phenomenal. but grown-up Ahsoka should not be acting like everything’s all good between them because it’s not. there was so much good angsty potential that completely went to waste.
I could say that about the whole series. it had so much potential. but the lack of mention of any of Ahsoka’s other relationships, plus her interactions with Anakin… it’s all a whole lot of missed opportunities that shouldn’t have been missed.

William Rex

❥・• Warnings and FAQ
My body was forcefully held in the hand of a man who wasn’t Will.
Avoiding the eyes of the other people present, the man snuck into a room in the mansion.
Under the room’s light, the face of the man who captured me was revealed.
(This person talked to Will earlier…)
– Flashback Start –
Doctor Cedric: Allow me to introduce myself as well. A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Earl Rex.
William: Ah… Doctor Cedric Hamilton, is it? I heard that you’re very passionate about your research on developing new drugs.
– Flashback End –
Back then, I quickly thought to act like a doll, but it seemed that he had already noticed me moving.
With me still in his hand, the doctor started rambling excitedly.
Doctor Cedric: You can breathe and blink… what a mysterious lifeform!
Doctor Cedric: How did this happen to you? Are you a living person? When did this happen?
(... I can’t keep up my act anymore. In that case…)
(Before that, I want to find out even just a little bit about his intentions.)
— Will will definitely come to my rescue.
As long as I have Will, I’ll be completely fine.
Kate: Before that, please answer my question first. Why are you in such a place?
Doctor Cedric: I have been pursuing Earl Rex, because I heard that he’s funding the Royal Hospital.
Doctor Cedric: I want to ask for him to fund my research as well.
Kate: … Is it research for a new drug?
Doctor Cedric: That’s only one part. I want to know everything.
Doctor Cedric: There are still many things about the human body that are unknown, it’s so mysterious… I can’t stand not knowing all about it!
Doctor Cedric: I want to know every single thing about the human body, and that’s why I’m here.
Doctor Cedric: It’s certainly God’s will for me to know everything…
Doctor Cedric: Now… reveal it all to me. I want to know every nook and cranny of your body…
Kate: … *gulp*
William: Thank you for that passionate proclamation of love to my lover, Cedric Hamilton.
Doctor Cedric: … Earl Rex…?
Kate: … W-Will!
William: You naughty girl, having another man court you while I’m away. Now, come back to me.
Doctor Cedric: This girl is Earl Rex’s… lover? No, that doesn't matter right now.
Doctor Cedric: This girl should be presented to the medical society. She will definitely be an extremely valuable research material…
Doctor Cedric: No, no. I must dissect her myself. Anyone who dares interfere, even if it’s Earl Rex—
The doctor pulled out a sharp scalpel from his breast pocket.
(He’s pointing it at Will…!)
(Take this!)
I bit down as hard as I could on a finger on his right hand, the hand holding the scalpel.
Doctor Cedric: Ouch!?
He let go of the scalpel and it tumbled onto the ground. The one who caught my body was—
Tumblr media
William: Welcome back, Thumbelina. Or should I call you my courageous knight instead?
Kate: It’s nice to be back, Will. Fufu, you can call me whatever you like.
Doctor Cedric: D… Damn it…
Doctor Cedric: Give her back to me… this girl is my precious research material…
Tumblr media
William: Cedric. I heard a rumour that you have been purchasing cadavers through illegal means for dissection.
Doctor Cedric: H-How did you know that…
William: You have a long history of other crimes, shall I list them all?
Doctor Cedric: … ugh
William: You haven't committed murder. However, it's undeniable that you've committed the sin of being indirectly involved in them.
William: Craving for more knowledge is a beautiful thing, but… it can get a little too extreme.
Doctor Cedric: … Ah, ahh…
William: — Shall we negotiate? Cedric Hamilton.
After negotiating with Cedric, Will and I returned to Crown’s castle.
This was the condition Will offered to Cedric—
In exchange for turning a blind eye to his crimes, Cedric was to never tell anyone about me.
Although it was called a “negotiation”, he became under Will’s control from now on.
— He would never dare to commit crimes again.
(Will silenced him and even condemned him for his sins… impressive.)
Will prepared some tea, he placed me in his palm and looked at me.
William: — So, my adorable Thumbelina, is there something you’ve been wanting to ask me from earlier?
Kate: … Yes. How did you know about that doctor’s crimes beforehand?
William: How?
Kate: It wouldn’t be surprising if you knew the sins of every person in England, but…
Kate: You wouldn't be able to remember them all, would you?
William: Right, my mind is too occupied with my memories of you.
Kate: Will… please don't dodge my question and answer me.
There was a playful flicker of joy in Will’s red eyes, his beautiful lips curled into a smile.
William: The reason for going to that mansion tonight was to see that man.
Kate: Huh…?
William: I remember hearing from Roger that there wasn’t enough of the drug needed to return you to your original form.
William: Cedric was expected to show himself there tonight.
William: He's notorious for being a drug enthusiast, that’s why I thought that he must have the medication we need.
Kate: So that means…
William: Yes, this was kept a secret from you — during the negotiation with Cedric, I had one more condition.
Will narrowed his eyes, like he was about to tell me a top secret—.
William: “A man named Roger will be coming later, you will show him to the place where you store your drugs.”
William: “And give him whatever he says he needs from you.”
William: Roger should have obtained the drug by now.
William: Since it’s Roger we’re speaking of, that man most likely took all the other drugs Cedric had in possession as well.
I was under the assumption that Will attended the social gathering tonight on a whim.
(... And yet, it was all… for the sake of helping me return to my original form.)
He once again provided me with the best solution to a problem.
My heart felt so full from Will’s love, I almost couldn't speak.
Kate: … T-Thank you so much, Will.
William: Anything for my sweetheart.
William: I only want you to remember one thing.
William: Kate.
He gently caressed my cheek with his fingers that I loved so much.
William: It doesn’t matter what form you take. As long as you’re still you, that’s alright.
William: I fell in love with the beauty of you as a human being.
Kate: Will…
Will’s voice and words soaked into my heart, spurring my desires.
(... I want to kiss you. I want to be even more deeply affectionate with you.)
He gave me a kiss, as though he had seen right through me and knew what I wanted.
Kate: Mm… mm…
William: Kate.
Kate: … Yes?
William: Want to try and see how far we can take this while you’re in this form…?
Kate: How… far…?
William: Yeah, those shameful yet pleasurable things you love—.

Being Ahsoka Tano’s best friend would include
Pairings: Ahsoka Tano x reader
Imagine: being Obi-Wan’s padawan and Ahsoka’s best friend
Warnings: idk, Ahsoka leaving the order (I swear I can’t watch those episodes bc I cry every damn time, not because she’s leaving the order but bc she leaves people who care for her)
A/N I love Ahsoka and it’s a wonder I haven’t written anything for her before, but here I am writing for my fav girl so I hope someone out there will enjoy this <3
Tumblr media
Becoming friends as soon as you both met, which was when you were still in training to become a padawan, which means you grew up with each other
You’d study with eachother
Hype eachother up if one of you is feeling sad or stressed, literally just helping eachother with emotions and anything in general
Ahsoka running to you filled with excitement to tell you she’s becoming a padawan and her master will be the one and only Anakin Skywalker
You doing the same to Ahsoka when you found out your master will be the one and only Obi-Wan Kenobi
Gossiping with each other
Getting in trouble together
Pranking people together with Fives, Waxer, Boil and a few others, you tried once to prank Cody, lesson learned you will never prank Cody again, he wasn’t to happy to have his helmet filled with blue and orange glitter (he still can find glitter to this day)
Obi-Wan now has to deal with three children (you, Anakin and Ahsoka) while Cody has to deal with more than five children (You, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ahsoka, Rex, Waxer, Boil…)
Did I mention getting in trouble together
Being another headache for the Jedi council and those who tries to protect you both and those trying to keep you out of trouble
Training your lightsaber skills with each other, being an excellent match because you always end up even because by know you know every move the other will make
Calling each other names that you hate just for the fun of it
If anyone else were to call either you or Ahsoka those names you would both go into protective mood, no one gets to call you two that but you two
Always defending and protecting each other, if it is when you get in trouble with the council or when you fight for example General Grievous doesn’t matter
I hate to write it down but sadly I think I need too after all it is a big part of Ahsoka’s life. When Ahsoka gets accused of the bombing I believe you would 100% side with her, you’re best fiends siblings after all and you always have each others backs. You try to help her prove her innocence but it didn’t go exactly as planned. We all know what happens and so when she decided to leave you were heartbroken, you couldn’t care less about the order you only cared about Ahsoka. You knew it was what she wanted so you let her go but you were still sad over it, and selfishly tried to convince her to stay because you didn’t want to be without her, after all you were practically siblings and grew up with each other. In the end she told you it was for the best and that she didn’t trust the order anymore, she’d always trust you and she did try to keep in contact with you but it was hard with the ongoing war
Then comes the times in the order without Ahsoka, and if I’m being honest I think you would kinda mope around when you thought no one was looking becasue you missed your best friend so much, your bad days become even worse because you didn’t have Ahsoka to cheer you up, but you managed as did Ahsoka who missed you as much as you missed her
I believe Obi-Wan would do his best to comfort you even though he knew as well as you that it would never be the same as Ahsoka comforting you and cheering you up, but he did his best, and that’s all you could of asked for
Anakin and you probably talked about Ahsoka a lot with eachother or avoided the topic all together
However Plo Koon talked to you about Ahsoka all the time
Skip to Ahsoka coming back with Bo-Katan to save Mandalore from Maul (why does autocorrect keep wanting to change his name to Mail), you convinced your master to let you come with Ahsoka, and so a new adventure started for the two of you
Then there’s order 66 and you, Ahsoka and Rex barely escaped
You and Ahsoka stuck together after that never leaving each other sides scared you would lose eachother again let’s not forget you got frequent calls from Rex and Obi-Wan talked to you sometimes through the force (but not much he was in hiding after all and so were you)

Push & Pull
Pairing: Captain Rex x Jedi! Reader
Word Count: 1.5k
Genre: Angst (i’m sorry)
Warnings: there’s a bit of a makeout scene in the beginning, the rest I can’t give away without spoiling the story so be warned
A/N: It really was supposed to be fluffy at first but... it was too tempting. I based the Title off a KARD song. Also if the consensus demands it I’ll write the part two I’ve been planning for this. Feedback is really appreciated for this! I worked hard on it and I’m actually quite proud of it!
Summary: What happens when the reality of your secret relationship comes crashing in, and the fear peaks out from amongst the rubble.
AKA You push him away and he tries to pull you back in.
Tumblr media
You could taste the desire littered across his tongue as you both consumed each other. His hands grabbed at the nape of your neck desperate to pull you closer to him than what was physically possible. You were clinging on to each breath as your mouths moved as one, refusing to let the other go. He was your safety net, the one thing you felt too selfish to ever let go of, even if it meant taking him down with you. Not that the galaxy would ever let you two find peace. It was tumultuous and violent, and there was no escape, not for any single inhabitant. But for the two of you, there was no hope. Your little secret was doomed to explode from the start.
He was a soldier and you a Jedi. There were countless things wrong with whatever this was, yet you could never seem to get enough, until now. If attachment and love were forbidden, then how was it so easy to fall into this in the first place? Especially when the man in front of you looked to be carved by the stars himself. Was this supposed to be what temptation was like? Painful and gut-wrenching but deliciously so. And how were you supposed to let him go?
“Mesh’la,” he breathes out. Effortlessly, like everything else he does. “I think I lost you back there. I only noticed because it’s kind of hard to make out with a durasteel wall.” You chuckled, looking into the warm irises of the man you’ve grown to love. It broke you, seeing that look of pure adoration in his eyes because you knew that in a matter of time, all you would see is misery within them. You tried to keep every bit of fear you had inside, instead choosing to relish in the unbridled happiness Rex brought you, but there is only so much a person can take before the dam breaks, and it finally did. A lone tear sinks down your cheek accompanied by a sniffle, the only signs you’re willing to let peak through, but it’s plenty enough to worry your beloved Captain. His calloused hands moved to hold your face and wipe the evidence of your turmoil.
“Cyare, talk to me. What’s going on inside that pretty little head of yours?” He moved to press a chaste kiss to your temple, and you couldn’t hold it in anymore. A cascade of sobs echoed across your quarters accompanied by soft hushes and words of encouragement, as he held you tight to his chest, rubbing circles into your hip bone.
“I’m sorry,” was all you could muster out in between your sobs, trying desperately to regulate your breathing.
“For what?” He asked, his gaze continuing to bore holes in yours, the concern ebbing off him in waves.
“For loving you,” you choke out. You were sure he wasn’t able to make any of it out between heaving, sobs, and snot-filled sniffles. But judging by the silence and lack of movement in the room, he was a bit shocked by your confession.
The silence that passed was agony as you watched those gears turn in his head as he was trying to make sense of it all. You watched as the facade of this hardened man started to crack and crumble above you. He was slowly starting to understand the connotation of your words and where this conversation was headed.
“Why?” He asked finally letting out that agonizing breath you had assumed he had been holding in.
“I just-” You took a breath, it coming out far shakier than you would’ve liked, “I can’t do this to you. Not anymore. I have been incredibly selfish with your feelings, knowing of the consequences that are destined for us. You deserve so much more than that.”
He was still frozen in his place, so you just decided to continue. “I’m sorry Rex. There’s not much hope for either of us with the lives we have led. I love you.” You stared at the stars countless nights, wondering, dreaming of this moment. The moment you finally put it all on the line and told him you loved him. But the last option to ever grace your thoughts was that you told him while you were doing this. You expected the moment to be filled with kisses and warm hugs and the only feeling that could be felt was love. Not this. “But that’s not enough. That will never be enough when this, us, is bound to break and shatter in all the worst ways possible.”
“And how is that guaranteed in your eyes? With the way you are talking, it sounds like we have no choice but to surrender to it. To run away and cower in fear. But how do we know for sure things are going to blow up in our faces? Shouldn’t we be allowed to be happy?” You were angry. Not at him, but at all this destruction, death, and violence that promises no reprieve, and yet he still chooses to hold on to the hope that one day it will. That one day this war will be over. When you know that there’s no way the galaxy could ever find peace.
“Because Rex” You screamed, your heart pouring itself out through your voice. “You are a Captain in the Grand Army of the Republic and I am a Knight of the Jedi Order. Someone catches one whiff of us and you’re court-martialed and I’m removed from the order. I could possibly live with that, but the punishment for you is not something I could live with. Rex, they would kill you.”
“You don’t know that,” he sighed.
“But I do, which is why I know we can’t do this anymore. Not with a cost this high,” you let out one last shaky sigh before you moved to the door. Finalizing your decision in ending your happiness and going back to the shell you once were, by command of the Jedi.
“You can’t leave,” he gritted out through barred teeth, “You made me a promise when you first came to our command. That we are a team.” He shot up from his position on shaky legs, all of his emotions evident in his stance, “And that we get through things together. You can’t make this decision on your own. You promised.” It was hard to catch that last bit, it was barely a whisper.
“This is the only decision to make, can’t you see Rex? We have no other choice.” You saw it. For the first time ever, your hardened but warm and loving Captain finally broke. Relinquishing the control he’s tried desperately to cling to since his inception, a tear falls down his cheeks. Something you’ve never seen before and it breaks your heart even more.
“What I see is you being selfish!” Those words hit you like a gut punch because he was right. You were being selfish. But it was all you could do to keep the one thing that makes you feel human, safe. You were taught nearly your whole life to avoid emotions and attachments, and because of it you nearly functioned like a droid. Your only focus was to do what they told you to. Then Rex came along and gave you a reason to fight, to feel, to exist. And the idea of losing him in this endless battle of torment was something you couldn’t stomach.
“I’m not a droid, Cyare. I make my own decisions, you can’t make them for me.” He was yelling now, even though his volume wasn’t ridiculously loud, avoiding unnecessary attention. It was still his choice of words and how he said them that made your knees buckle. There was an overwhelming feeling to fall to the ground and melt but you needed to be strong and get out of this, for both your sakes.
“I have never once compared you to that of a droid. You are fully capable, but I can’t play games with your life, Rex. You are the most important thing in my life.” You let out a sob, one of many since this debacle began, but one that fully conveyed just what you were feeling at that moment.
“Please, just stay. We can talk this through, what you’re feeling. We don’t have to leave it like this.” He put your face in his hands again, kissing you while he still shook in fear. One that was a silent beg, to not let go.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered, tears falling down your cheeks, “I don’t know how.” You opened the door knowing that once you take this step there was no coming back, and took one last look at the man who meant everything to you.
“Please,” he cried. And with that, you left. Abandoning the only bit of freedom you ever had.

I’m too tired to go too deep into detail on this one but here’s my Kingdom Hearts 4 theory that I want to put out into the world.
The nameless star and the girl we see in the Verum Rex trailer aren’t actually the same person. It’s a red herring.
Yozora takes clear inspiration from Noctis from FFXV (e.g. the scene of Yozora in the car that’s shot-for-shot a scene from an early trailer with Yozora replacing Noctis).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And while many think that’s because Nomura is using ideas he never got to bring to life when he worked on Versus XIII, aka “Beta FFXV”, before the project moved on without him, I think it’s less that and more to do with Nomura’s feelings in letting go of his characters and letting someone else write their story.
I think Yozora is the answer to the question “What if Noctis knew that his story was so far removed from what was originally planned? What if he knew his fate was changed?” (Put a pin in that, because there’s more to this question.)
Anyway, we all saw the nameless star for the first time and... Okay, well, a lot of us thought it was Strelitzia at first and that Square Enix North America (henceforth SENA) had just put romantic dialogue somewhere that wasn’t supposed to be romantic and accidentally made Marluxia sound like Strelitzia’s love interest. (Wouldn’t be the first time that happened in KH3. Thank you SENA.) But once we saw more of her and Yozora in Melody of Memory and Re:Mind respectively, we all realized she was from the same place Yozora was from, and we all thought about the only girl we know who’s from Verum Rex and we all just...
...assumed.
But we haven’t seen the nameless star’s face. And we haven’t heard Verum Rex girl’s voice. So we don’t actually have any confirmation that they’re the same person.
So here’s my suggestion.
Verum Rex girl is Luna in this equation.
Tumblr media
And Nameless Star is Stella, the girl who was originally going to be Noct’s love interest back when FFXV was Versus XIII.
Tumblr media
We meet Nameless Star in what is essentially Kingdom Hearts Purgatory. But she’s from a fictional world. Fictional characters can’t die. Not in the way we know it. I can pop Into the Spider-Verse into my DVD player, hit play, and boom, there’s Uncle Aaron, alive. You can’t do that with real people.
But if a character is written out of a story, they’re gone forever. That, I propose to you, is true death for a fictional character, which is why Nameless Star is hanging out with dead people. And she’s lost everything. Her whole identity. Her name. And the person she loves doesn’t remember her. Because she’s not part of his story anymore.
Yozora also says that the way he looks isn’t what he really looks like. A lot of people have taken that to be the start of an explanation for why he looks like Riku, and it still might be in some roundabout way, but I propose to you that he’s been redesigned, and he’s aware of it.
So here’s the core of what this all means, why it’s relevant.
Kingdom Hearts loves its parallels, yeah?
So here’s what I propose to you.
Sora’s story is also, as we speak, being rewritten. At least in a sense.
Sora sees Riku’s light, and twenty minutes later, it’s apparently Kairi’s light.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sora saves seven hearts, including Riku’s, and three hours later, he’s only saved six, and Kairi’s heart is the seventh.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Somehow or another, Yozora found out about what happened to him, and, due to some trial or another, also found out what is currently happening to Sora. And he wants to save Sora from suffering his fate.
I don’t think there’s any hope for Yozora himself. He is, after all, the night sky, what could have happened if Sora’s story got the “bad end”, so to speak.
But I do think he can “save Sora.”
So here’s the rest of that question.
What if Noctis knew that his story was so far removed from what was originally planned? What if he knew his fate was changed?
And what if he saw the same thing happening to Sora, a kid destined to have a queer love story but forced into a romance with a girl by a greater power instead, and refused to let that slide?

Order 66 Part Two || Captain Rex
Tumblr media
Synopsis - You can't hold back your feelings for Rex anymore, regardless of what happened on the Jedi Cruiser during Order 66.
Warnings - NSFW.
Word Count - 1.4k.
{Part One Here}
{Caffeinate Me}
Tumblr media
What had happened to you on the Jedi Cruiser hadn’t been spoken about; neither you nor Rex could bear to bring it up. Rex felt incredibly guilty despite your reassurance and you, well, it wasn’t something you wanted to exactly re-live.
Ahsoka had gone her own way while Rex had vowed to save more of his brothers. You knew you probably should have gone with Ahsoka, but your heart belonged to Rex… You couldn’t leave him. You were currently hiding out in an abandoned house in the middle of a forest while Rex made a plan, an extremely detailed and thorough plan.
You looked around the dilapidating home until your eyes fixated on Rex who was, as usual, looking distressed. You stood up and made your way to his side. “Rex,” you whispered, placing your hand on his armoured shoulder. “Are you okay?”
His helmet rested on the table in front of him, leaving his face uncovered for you to see the emotion hiding beneath his eyes. Yet despite this, he still tried to lie to you. “I’m fine,” was all he said.
“You’re not fine,” you mumbled, wedging yourself between him and the table to gain his full undivided attention.
Rex let out a big sigh and looked into your eyes. “I’m sorry.”
You smiled at him, clearly confused. “What’re you sorry for?”
“You know exactly what I’m sorry for,” he sighed again.
You furrowed your eyebrows at him and bit your bottom lip. “Rex…” You mumbled. You pulled him into a bone crushing hug, your cheek pressed up against his plastoid armour plating.
“Don’t do that,” Rex growled lightly.
“Don’t do what?” You asked, pulling away from him assuming he meant the hug.
“Don’t pretend that what happened was okay,” his reply was shaky. “I hurt you Y/N, in a way I should protect you from!”
You could see he was getting frustrated, anger in his eyes as he thought back to what he had done. “I assume very few clones were immune to order 66,” you tried to comfort him, but weren’t exactly sure how.
“That doesn’t make what I did any better Y/N, and you know it.” You shook your head and stood on your tiptoes, trying your best to press your forehead against his comfortingly. “What are you doing?”
“What I should have done when we left that stupid cruiser,” you mumbled before pressing your lips to his softly. After a few seconds you pulled away, nervous to see the Clone Captain’s reaction, however you didn’t get a good look at his face as he pulled you back, kissing you passionately. Rex’s hands settled on your hips, nails digging into the fabric of your Jedi robes as he deepened the kiss. Without hesitation you kissed back, biting down on his bottom lip as you jumped up, sitting on the table behind you. You opened your legs, letting Rex settle between them as the kiss intensified. “Oh Rex,” you mumbled between his lips, hand reaching down to remove his codpiece, feeling his hardening cock against his blacks.
“Y/N…” He whispered, pulling away from your lips and looking down at you whilst breathing heavily. “I don’t think I can do this.”
“Why not?” You asked, tilting your head to the side.
“I can’t forget what I did,” Rex whispered, his eyes purposefully looking away from you. Your hands skillfully removed the rest of his armour as Rex breathed deeply, hitching slightly as you pulled down his blacks to his knees and finally freeing his cock. His tip was swollen and red, pre-cum dripping from his slit but still Rex didn’t look at you. You jumped off the table and got to your knees, sitting up and taking the head of his cock into your mouth, tasting the saltiness of his pre-cum on your tongue. Rex shivered, eyes finally casting down to you as a hand made its way to your hair, pushing your face further onto him. His cock hit the back of your throat, causing you to gag slightly and Rex immediately pulled you off of him. “I’m sorry,” he said quickly.
You couldn’t help but chuckle, “don’t be,” you said before finding his cock once more with your mouth. You licked the underside of his shaft, before taking him in again fully. You gagged again, but expertly continued your movements as you bobbed your head along his length, tongue poking out to wrap around his head. Another one of Rex’s hands fell to your hair, both of them now placed on the back of your head, somewhat guiding your movements.
After a few more moments of you essentially deepthroating him, Rex pulled out of your mouth with a silent pop and looked at you with wide eyes. “I was so close,” he mumbled before looking away, slight embarrassment on his face.
“That’s okay,” you smiled, wiping the drool from the corners of your mouth. You stood up slowly, peeling your Jedi robes off and getting completely naked for your Captain. When your clothes were in a pile by your feet, you jumped back onto the table and lay down so you were flat on your back. Spreading your legs, you exposed your dripping cunt to Rex who’s eyes were now trained on you with a hunger you hadn’t seen since that day. “Please Rex,” you begged, voice clearly pleading. You cupped your breasts and played with your puckering nipples before trailing a hand down to your clit. Your fingers strummed at the sensitive bundle of nerves before Rex viciously pulled your hand away.
You looked up at him confused until you felt his tip poking at your entrance. You nodded and Rex nodded back to you before slowly slipping inside of you. You both moaned loudly and Rex let his body collapse onto yours. His arms wrapped around your waist as his hips began to snap against yours gently, lovingly. Rex kissed your bare neck, breathing heavily against the crook as he tried to pace himself. He almost forgot how good you had felt. You wrapped your legs around Rex’s waist, forcing his cock inside of you at a deeper angle making you squirm slightly.
He pulled your body closer against his as his pace sped up, hips driving desperately into you. “Kriff,” he hissed, biting at the soft skin of your flesh on your neck to quieten the intensity of his moans.
Your back arched lightly as he hit that spongy spot inside, drilling into you now at a pace you didn’t even think was possible. “Rex!” You cried out, nails dragging down his back. “I’m gonna cum!”
“Cum for me baby,” Rex growled, teeth pulling at your neck and sending you over the edge. Your entire body lit up with pleasure as your legs went slack around his waist. Your clit was throbbing from the sheer force of your orgasm and beads of sweat were dripping down your temple. “Fuck, I’m gonna cum,” Rex spluttered as his hips stuttered against yours. Thick ropes of cum erupted from his slit and deep inside of you as he continued to fuck into you. “Take it all baby. Please,” he begged, his hips finally stilling against you. You nodded, breathing heavily. “I love you. I love you so much,” he blurted out.
Your eyes widened and your breath caught in your throat at his confession, but you were quick to reciprocate the feeling. “I love you too Rex.” He pulled away from your neck to press a chaste kiss to your lips, cock sliding out of you slowly. “I always have.”
“Same here,” he whispered against your lips. Rex’s hands slid from around your waist and came to cup your face. “You should get some rest. I still have a lot of planning to do.”
“I don’t want to sleep without you,” you grumbled, watching as Rex stood up and pulled his blacks back up his toned body.
“How about I cuddle you until you fall asleep?” Rex suggested. Your eyes lit up and you smiled wildly, nodding excitedly. “Come on then,” he chuckled.
“Let me get dressed first,” you smiled, picking your clothes up off the floor and quickly dressing yourself.
You followed Rex into the bedroom and climbed into the abandoned bed together. He was quick to place your head on his chest. The sound of his heartbeat was quick to lull you into a restful slumber, being in his arms just felt so right. “Goodnight, my sweet Jedi,” Rex whispered as he pressed a kiss on the top of your head.

okay no but i want an echo and ahsoka reunion so badly. it’s been years of war and tragedy since they’ve last seen each other but it would be a reminder - to both of them - that rex is not the only surviving friend they have from the old days in the 501st. just look at it from echo’s perspective. the 501st had completely changed by the time he came back from skako minor. they’d lived through so many hellish missions without him. umbara, kiros, ringo vinda, fives. he never put the handprint back on his armour after the citadel. do you ever think about that? how he survived against all odds to come back to the news that the only surviving batchmate who was there to witness the habit that earned him his name, was dead.
When Rex put that handprint on his armour on the Rishi moon, it’s when he told Echo he was a shiny. He kept it there, painting it on, as a reminder of the mission that made him a soldier - a reminder that he wasn’t a shiny anymore, a reminder of Cutup, Hevy and Droidbait, his fallen batchmates. After the citadel, after fives, when he gets his new armour, he hovers his hand over the chest plate and he just can’t do it. Everything is gone. He’s not that man anymore. SO many of his brothers are dead, and when he joins the bad batch, leaving Rex, there’s no one around to notice the handprint is missing, not really, So he leaves it off, he lets that part of him die with his fallen brothers.
I can imagine Ahsoka, particularly in her younger years, would entertain herself on long hyperspace flights or camp-outs by asking the clones why they chose their name. She wasn’t there, she isn’t one of the people who picked it out. By the time Echo was assigned to the 501st, he’d dropped the habit. But he told her about it, because she was small and scared and bored and kind and a friend. As a young padawan, Ahsoka relied on her men to help her navigate the parts of war her jedi training left her unprepared to face, and after he told her the story, she’d always get Echo to repeat the next stage of orders to her to keep her mind focused on the mission.
When they reunite after order 66, it’s almost hard for him to tell whether she’s just playing dumb to keep her cover intact or if she genuinely doesn’t remember him. He hasn’t seen her since the citadel, after all, and...he does look pretty different. He’s not sure if she recognises him. She does, of course. When she inevitably reveals her jedi nature to the rest of the crew, and they dive head-first into some crusade against the empire together, it feels just like old times. They both thought they’d lost this, but it’s still here, surviving. She asks him to repeat the orders to her, keep track of the stages of the plan just like he used to. He confesses he almost thought she didn’t recognise him, and she’s practically offended at the thought. But she senses the insecurity, the grief, the loss, behind it. She jokes around with him, to ease the burden. They’re both knee-deep in some foul-smelling staining spillage leaking out from the ruined hardware around them. So she smiles and says well, how could you expect anyone to recognise you, and she dips her hand in the sludge and puts it to his chest...without the handprint. And he can’t help but laugh.
Because there is someone left to remember the handprint is missing. There is someone who recognises him, other than Rex, someone who knows why he chose his name. Most importantly, someone who survived because of Fives’ sacrifice.
And it’s not a reminder of loss anymore. It’s a statement that he’s known. That he is remembered. Whatever else he lost after the Citadel, however different he may be, physically, spiritually, emotionally, there is an imprint of everything that survived, still there, carried on his chest, in his heart. An imprint of everything that survived, of everyone who carried the fight this far, a promise of those who keep up the fight.
A reminder that he is known, that he is remembered - and that he, too, remembers.

i. YOU HAVE PLAYED ( I THINK ) AND BROKE THE TOYS YOU WERE FONDEST OF, AND ARE A LITTLE TIRED NOW.
The world itself was a hard one to live in. Morax knew it well, because it was cruel, cruel to take away what he had, cruel for this battle he must fight, cruel in ways so subtly damning even he finds himself inexperienced in the four thousand years he walked.
But the new adeptus under his care was young and bright eyed, proud in a way that reminds him of his hot blooded youth. You think the world was beautiful ( and it was that as well, Morax agrees ), and your heart was still soft in a way that held a foreign touch in his fingertips. One day, he knew it would disappear because time wore away innocence and it twisted kindness and turned its faint tune into dissonance.
You’d turn into him and what he is now.
But he stares at you from his higher perch. He watches you with a concerned eye and he seeks you out when he reeks of iron and old rust and his robes are stained red. And you’d take him, let him rest with a smile on your face, so eager to lend your aid.
( Something in his chest stirs, and the bleaker days, he is reminded of why he fights. )
Perhaps he loved you then, like a lover may have. It was a soft cry, present but easy to ignore. Perhaps if he were more cruel, he would have taken you away and caged you amidst the mountains, preserving what was still left in you before that was stripped away.
He wasn’t that ( not anymore ). Morax thinks you are far happier when you are free. You shine brighter. You smile more ( and he likes it when you smile, like the sun itself was rising, like the clouds were breaking away after days of incessant rainfall ).
So he lets you take off to the beyond and prays you’d return unharmed.
ii. TIRED OF THINGS THAT BREAK AND — JUST TIRED. SO AM I.
He knew he was asking for too much. When you returned from your first battle half dead, Morax knew something in you would shift, and it did. The spark was gone, you were wearier, you were scared. Time finally began its work with you and he watches, silently, a little afraid, a little mournful. But it was a sight common to see and Morax knows to quietly accept it.
Because history repeats itself in the end. He played no part in weaving the string of fate and he held no power over its course.
( Yet something breaks in Morax all the same when he sees you cry under the veil of night.
He fears that one day, it will break and you will never get up again. )
“Will it ever stop hurting?” you asked one day when you rested your head on his chest. He pauses, and he remembers what Guizhong taught him.
“It won’t. We can only hope it will get better now.”
You had fallen silent.“We shall be going into battle again soon,” he says and he feels you sink further and further in his arms, unconsciously trying to hide away from that thought, hide away from the possibility of you having to fight again, having to kill again. “I have a request to ask you.”
“Hm.”
“Osial is dangerous,” he whispers. “I want you to stay safe.” It was the first time he told you that. Because Morax finds himself holding something fragile, and he is afraid of yet another part of his heart ( as petrified as it is ) shattering as you slip past his fingers and into the abyss. Because Morax was selfish in a way, in his refusal to let you go.
You look up at him, eyes wide.
“Do you truly wish that, my lord?” there is unsurety in your expression. Morax nods and he holds all the raw sincerity in that fleeting look that ghosts over him.
“I do. Perhaps when a time of peace arrives, you can set your weapon aside and live the life you wish.”
“A life I wish…” you repeat. “I wish to travel…” It comes out soft and hoarse, so hesitant, of hoping, of daring to peek through. “Travel without the fear of getting killed.”
“Then you will.” he promises and he hopes you’ll smile the way you used to when that time comes. He hopes you’ll come back and fall into his arms and you could lay down , exposed to the world, with no worries of death lurking close.
Your purse your lips. “Alright then.” and he thinks he can finally sigh in relief.
He sees you in the distance a few days later. The weight on your shoulders is still present and your eyes are still tired and smattered with its cracks and fissures. But he sees the spark brimming beneath it all ( that dormant flame that slipped beneath the edges when it was nearly snuffed ) and he knew you would stay true to your promise.
He meets your gaze as the ocean roars.

Leaving
After you failed to save someone on a mission, guilt was weighing you down heavily. Instead of talking to your master about it, you decided to leave the order for good.
Tumblr media
Obi-Wan x reader
Part 1 out of 2
It felt like you couldn’t move.
You were sitting in the very corner of your ship, legs pulled into your chest as your mind tried to proceed what had just happened.
And as much as you wanted to think about it rationally, as much as you didn’t want to blame yourself for anything that had happened, it didn’t work.
As you stared at the wall in front of you, not even the soothing voice of your favorite commander could calm you down.
Flashes of what had happened hours ago, and what felt like only minutes ago for you, appeared on the wall in front of you and even if you tried to close your eyes it didn’t work.
You were always met with the tear-filled and scared eyes of the pregnant woman in front of you.
You shook your head as you thought about it over and over again.
There was a husband waiting for her at home, a loving husband who waited for his wife and future child to come home.
She had told you, had begged you with those beautiful tear-filled eyes to save her and her child.
You hadn’t been able to.
You had failed her.
And not only did you blame yourself, oh, how you wished to have been in her position instead. You didn’t have anyone waiting for you at the temple who loved you like a husband loved his wife. You didn’t have anyone who would be left as broken as her husband, no one who cared about you on this emotional level.
And even though you cared for someone that deeply, you knew that your master would never see you in that way, would never feel anything that came close to what you were feeling for him.
You didn’t even know if you could call it love anymore, it was so much more.
It was like the two of you could understand each other without even communicating, you always knew what he wanted to say next, what his next move would be.
Sometimes you thought you two were somehow connected to each other, but you never voiced that.
He was a Jedi master, he was your master, there was no way he would ever like you.
But that husband, he loved his wife too, probably loved his wife dearly.
It should have been you.
“It wasn’t your fault.”, the voice of Rex became clearer, pulling you out of your chaotic thoughts.
And when you turned to him, meeting his warm brown eyes, the woman’s eyes disappeared from your view.
Rex was, even if he was Anakin’s commander, one of your closest friends. And although you and your master talked about everything, there were things you could only talk about with someone who wasn’t Obi-Wan.
And that someone was Rex.
He knew of your feelings and you knew that he would never ever tell anyone about them, not even his brothers.
And that’s why you liked him so much, Rex always seemed to find the right words to cheer you up, always made you laugh when you felt down.
This time, though, not even his words could bring a smile to your face anymore.
“Did you know she had a husband at home? She told me. That she didn’t want to die because her husband really loved her and their unborn child. She begged me to help her-“
Rex carefully placed his hand on top of yours. “You’ve done your best, no Jedi could have seen that bomb coming.”, he whispered.
“I just think it should have been me. She had someone to return home to, I don’t.”
Rex sighed, shaking his head a few times. “Please don’t say that. Imagine how I would have felt, how General Kenobi would have felt. I assure you, you have someone to return home to.”, Rex looked you deep in the eye, offering you a warm smile. “Now come on, let me pull you into a hug.“, he warmly embraced you.
And even though you didn‘t tell him, his embrace brought you no comfort for the first time.
You were just feeling empty.
Trailing down the halls of the Jedi temple felt different now, different than any other time you had walked down the halls.
It was different, too.
You had a bag of all your few belongings draped over your shoulder. Most of them were the few clothes you owned, the souvenirs your master always brought with him whenever he would visit a new planet, and a pillow that smelled like him.
Your lightsaber was not hanging on your belt like it usually would be when not ignited, you carried it in your hands along with the Padawan braid you had chopped off.
You stopped in front of the council chamber, taking a few last deep breaths before you knocked on the door and entered.
Relief flooded over you when you only saw Yoda sitting in there, almost like he had awaited you-
“Hope you would not come, I have.”, he began and you knew exactly that he had, in fact, been waiting for you.
There was no need to explain yourself, you just needed to get it behind you before one of your favorite masters would convince you to stay.
“I’m sorry.”, you just stated, carefully laying down your lightsaber and Padawan braid in front of him and it said more than a thousand words could ever say.
“Sad this makes me.”, Yoda started, not even trying to convince you anymore. He saw how determined you looked and there was no way in convincing you to stay, Yoda was aware that only one person could and he would count on that.
“With your master spoken, have you?”, he questioned and you immediately tensed up. Of course you hadn’t told Obi-Wan of your plan to leave, he wouldn’t have let you leave and you knew it. Obi-Wan’s eyes could have made you stay, however, you really did not want to. After what had happened, guilt was crashing you down.
“I haven’t.”, you replied to which Yoda hummed, knowing that this was the reason you decided to leave. Obi-Wan could have made you stay.
“Ask you to stay until tomorrow, can I?.”, Yoda wanted to know and you saw right through his plan. Obi-Wan would be coming back from his mission tomorrow.
You shook your head. “I’m sorry master, you, this order, is like a family to me. I will stay on the right path, but this war is taking a toll on me. I can’t do this anymore.”, your voice cracked at the end of your sentence and then, without looking back one time, you turned around and left.
The rain was slowly making its way down your skin, leaving goosebumps to raise on your arms.
The sky was dark, reflecting the way how heavy your heart was feeling, how hard it was to leave the people you loved behind.
Pulling the cloak over your head, you turned to Rex one last time.
“I’m sorry.”, you whispered honestly, not an ounce of lie in your statement. You were, truly, sorry to leave him.
“You know I can’t let you go.”, he frowned, knowing that he probably couldn’t let you go.
“Rex.”
He took a step forward, trying to catch your wirst. “I’ll have to tell General Skywalker and Kenobi about this as soon as you’re gone and you know it.”
You offered him a sweet smile. “Will you promise me to at least wait until tomorrow? I don’t want them to abandon their mission.”
Rex hesitated, but proceeded to nod his head. Knowing Obi-Wan and Anakin quite well, he was aware that they would abandon their whole mission and fly back to Coruscant as soon as possible. And as of right now, you were still fine and the war needed its Generals, as sad as it sounded.
“Is there anything I can do to make you stay?”, he begged one last time, his eyes pleading.
You wanted to give in, you really did, but after what happened you were sure you didn’t deserve to fight for the Republic because you had already failed them.
Maybe both of you thought that the rain would cover the tears trailing down your eyes, but it didn’t. The tears were clearly evident, but no one of you said anything about it, just enjoyed each others’ presence just a little longer.
“Take care of them, will you?”
“I will.”
Anakin stepped out of the ship, being greeted by his favorite Commander.
He almost offered him a smile, but when he saw the frown etched on his face, Anakin’s eyebrows furrowed.
“How was your mission without me? Did she wear you out too much?”
When Rex didn’t laugh, only sighed, Anakin knew something was severely wrong.
Quickly, he moved Rex to the side to avoid being heard by Obi-Wan who had yet to border the ship, still discussing something with his own Commander.
“The mission was good, a success, really it was. There was one pregnant woman she couldn’t save and it’s taken a toll on her.”, Rex explained quickly and Anakin immediately understood what was going on, you were blaming yourself once again.
The one thing helping against it, though, had just landed on Coruscant. “I’m going to tell him real quick.”
Before Anakin could move away, Rex stopped him once again, balancing on his feet and looking awkwardly at the ground.
He was never like this, rather professional especially when Obi-Wan was near, too.
But this wasn’t a normal occasion.
Slowly, he took off his helmet to look at Anakin Skywalker eye to eye, signaling that this was, in fact, a serious matter.
“I’m in no place to tell you this, but I feel like I should. She’s left.”
Anakin’s brows furrowed. “Where has she gone to?”
Rex shook his head. “You don’t understand.”, he began. “She left the order, General.”, Rex ended his statement in a whisper.
And that’s when Anakin’s eyes really shot open, fear and anger and sadness all but hiding behind them
You had left the order?
You had left without saying goodbye?
You were alone on a planet like Coruscant?
You had left without speaking to Obi-Wan?
That was what angered Anakin the most, you hadn’t spoken to Obi-Wan about it. Anakin knew that he would have convinced you to stay, could have made you forget about the guilt like he always did, so why hadn’t you waited when you knew exactly what impact you leaving the order would have on Obi-Wan, or, did you?
When he heard shuffling and saw Obi-Wan making his way towards the temple, Anakin was even more afraid of what might happen to his old master when he found out.
“Kriff.”, he whispered, before he all but sprinted to his old master, trying to come up with any excuse before he would search for you.
“You know, Obi-Wan, I’m really hungry. I’ve heard of a new diner that has opened up not long from here, would you like to-“
Obi-Wan just sighed, exhaustion evident in just his posture. “I’m really tired, Anakin.”, he answered, walking faster to get to his apartment. “And I really want to see my Padawan.”
Oh well, yes, his Padawan who was sadly not only his Padawan, but the love of his life. It was like the thing between you two ran even deeper than love, you were connected to each other in so many ways that sometimes Anakin even believed that you were made for each other.
Despite of all that, Obi-Wan had always been overly protective over his Padawan’s in general, but unfortunately you were not only his Padawan, you were the most important person in Obi-Wan’s life and Anakin was well aware of that.
There was no way he would take that easily.
“I really think we should spend some time together, master, I’ve missed you.”, Anakin stated and he knew that by saying that, he probably got his brother to finally stop.
And Obi-Wan slowed down, before he stopped and looked at Anakin. They were already standing in front of Obi-Wan’s apartment, so his answer would determine whether Anakin had time to search for you.
“You are my brother Anakin, and I’ve missed you, too. However, I really am tired today, and you know how much she means to me.”
Oh, how Anakin knew, he had practically forced his old master to spill his feelings. Unfortunately, though, not to you.
With a nod, Obi-Wan turned around, opening the door with one swift motion, there wasn’t even any time for Anakin to stop him.
And as soon as he did open the door, he immediately knew something was wrong. The apartment looked clean, your things weren’t sprawled around the floor like they usually would be.
Maybe you had cleaned up?
He scanned the room once more, your boots weren’t standing at the entrance, had you gone out without telling him?
There was no note on the table, there weren’t any traces that you even used to live there.
Your scent wasn’t even in the air anymore, it just smelled like Obi-Wan and that’s when something snapped inside him.
“Where is she?”, he turned to Anakin, who awkwardly stood there, balancing on his feet and trying to find a suitable answer.
Your Padawan left the order? The love of your life decided to leave you without even talking to you about anything? The person you love is currently completely alone on Coruscant without anyone there to protect here, even though she can protect herself but you’re really really really protective over her so-
“Anakin, where is she?”, Obi-Wan tried again, fear creeping up his body. His heart began to beat impossibly faster when he saw how hesitant Anakin was.
“She left. Rex just told me.”
That was it. All the air in Obi-Wan’s lungs was taken out by one single breath and suddenly the lightsaber in his hand flew to the ground.
Suddenly, breathing became really difficult. He tried to, tried his very best to catch even a bit of oxygen, but it felt like his body wasn’t responding to his needs.
Suddenly, the room swayed and as his vision got worse, Anakin’s face in front of him more difficult to see.
He tried to clutch his chest, hearing someone distantly calling out his name, but his ears were closed, everything he heard only sounded hallow.
You had just left?
Left the order?
Left him behind?
Without talking to him?
“Hey, hey.”, Anakin’s voice became clearer when he all bur dragged his old master into the apartment and sat him down on the couch.
“Deep breaths, can you do that for me?”
You weren’t there. The only person who could help him with his anxiety attacks wasn’t there, because that person was the very reason why he was even having the attack.
He tried to imagine Anakin’s voice being yours, he tried to imagine what you would be saying in such a situation.
Obi-Wan took deep breaths, concentrating on the way you would be looking at him, the way your eyes would glance up at him.
And when his breaths did even out, when he dared to look at Anakin, tears were already spilling over his cheeks.
Anakin offered him a small smile, slowly circling his arms around his old master and letting him sob into his shoulders.
He had never seen the great Obi-Wan so distressed, but then again, it was you they were talking about.
“I promise you, we will find her.”
Obi-Wan just sniffled. “I never even told her-“, he began, but broke down again.
“We will search for her. You will tell her. I promise.”

EnigmaTech - Ch. 2
My Tech lives AU! This one is based on the idea that the Bad Batch just needs someone with a clear head to follow his trail and appreciate the man for what he is truly capable of! I’m not a many-chapter-fic writer, but this one I felt like it could be divided into 3-4, maybe 5 (yes, it's getting longer, I know) solid chapters that focus on retrieving the beloved brainiac, his bubbly little sister, and their angsty brother. Consider it a mini-series!
Chapter 2 - One Step at a Time
Tech x female!reader (EVENTUALLY; but he still hasn't met her yet, this is the buildup to that part, they will meet soon, I promise! just use of pronouns in this part, not anatomy)
(Part 1) (Part 3)
Word Count: ~3.7K
Tumblr media
Chapter Summary: Now that they know Tech survived, that means they now have a list of people they care about that they need to rescue. By asking the question 'what did the Empire want with each one', will that help them figure out where each one is?
TW: I state that Tech is hurt, but I don't specify any details! No gore here! Just some notes that he might end up in the same boat Echo was once in. She/her pronouns used, but no mention of female anatomy or anything like that in this one.
A/N: Alrighty, this part feels like it's almost there but not quite, but I needed to just get it out so I can focus on the next part, or I will NEVER finish this story! Enjoy!
Tech dividers by @/djarrex
Translations: haran = hell (Mando'a) dank ferrik = the Star Wars equivalent of "oh fuck" or "damn it"
Tumblr media
He’s alive! But dank ferrik, that looks like it hurt like haran [hell]!
He’d managed to soften his fall a bit, and get out of the way of the railcar, but it was still a long way to fall, and he’d only been able to slow his speed enough to survive it, but not enough to prevent injury on impact.
“Wait,” Wrecker has questions, “I don’t get it… if Tech is still wearing his goggles, under his helmet there, how can they be the thing that’s recording this?”
“Good catch Wrecker,” Echo smirks, proud of his brother.
“Tech had a spare pair of goggles.” Hunter adds. “They must have been in the pack he was wearing when he fell. I used to use whether they were in that pack or this pack,” he gestures with the backup pack he’s still holding, and proceeds to check for the spare pair in it as he continues, “as an indicator of whether or not Tech thought the mission was more dangerous than he was letting on…and they’re not in here. That IS his spare pair… *sigh* I guess you’re right, there were little things he would do to protect us from the full truth.”
“Don’t feel bad about it Hunter. It means he loves you very much. I just…” she takes a deep breath, “… I’ve found he’s a lot like me, we have a lot of the same habits and ways of doing things. So it’s a little easier for me to put myself in his shoes, so to speak.”
“So I’ve noticed.” Hunter comments, “It’s sorta comforting, really. You’re just like him… I just wish he had been able to meet you a long time ago. To know that there were others like him, that he was not alone. When we were cadets he often told me that his mind was both his gift and his curse, because it made him unique but being unique meant he was the only one like that. I don’t know if he knew the Kaminoans made him that way because of the effectiveness of people like you.”
“I know the feeling, and I appreciate the complement.”
“I’m glad you’re the one Rex sent to help us get them all back. I’m glad he will get a chance to meet you,” Hunter comments.
“Thank you, Hunter. That means a lot to me, especially coming from you. I know you are having a hard time trusting me, and I understand why. I’ve had trust issues too, they are very hard to work past. Thank you for letting me work beside you guys. It’s nice to have an understanding team that doesn’t hate me for infodumping all the time.”
“I don’t think I realized how comforting it was when Tech did that until he wasn’t there anymore to do it all the time,” Wrecker added.
“Then let’s get him back, big guy,” she pats his arm.
Wrecker smiles and nods.
Echo chimes in, cool headed and taking inventory like the ARC he is “Okay, so… that recording doesn’t add much. It’s only a few minutes between impact and when that trooper steps on the spare goggles and the recording stops, and it’s mostly pointed at the trees and the wreckage of the railcar during that time. But what DO we have to work with now?”
“What about the things the TK troopers were talking about. Any names ring a bell?” She asks.
Hunter starts the list for the group “they mentioned the name Hemlock, that’s the man who brought us Tech’s goggles and took Omega.”
“Hemlock’s facility is the same one Crosshair was wired to” Echo adds. “That’s why we were trying to track his shuttle from Eriadu.”
“The name does appear in Tech’s notes a few times. Mostly about Crosshair and where he may have been taken, but he doesn’t seem to get very far before the railcar incident.”
“There are so many unanswered questions though,” Hunter interjects, concerned-big-brother (read: concerned-Dad) mode kicking in. “Why did they want Omega? They’re clearly not interested in more clone troopers, so her status as a near-perfect copy of Django is not it.”
“She knows a lot about cloning. She grew up in close contact with Nala Se, as an assistant of sorts,” Echo shrugs.
“Tech told me once that the Empire destroyed Kamino so that they could control cloning. That was shortly after the encounter with the Zillo Beast, the one after the war.” Hunter recalls, doing his best to add as much info as he can, as per her request.
“That’s not much to go on,” Echo sighs.
“On the contrary, there’s a lot there to unpack.” She starts counting as she adds each one to a list on her data pad, “one: Omega's knowledge, two: her bond with Nala Se, and three: how there are far more cloning projects going on. And, four: looking at Tech’s notes on the Zillo Beast, they utilized Kaminoan technology, and yet there were no indications of any Kaminoans ever having been present in the lab. All the technology was the human-sized versions they developed ‘for interactions with the clones of Django’ as Tech puts it. And here, a fifth one! Records he decrypted when searching for Crosshair indicate that Nala Se is also alive and was transferred into custody of an unlisted scientist. A scientist? Interesting. She’s listed as a prisoner, but she’s not being held by a prison guard. Either way, it seems that Tech, Nala Se, and Crosshair are likely under Hemlock’s ‘supervision’, or rather control, within the Advanced Science Division. Considering Omega’s ties to all the aforementioned individuals, and that it was Hemlock who took her away, it is likely that she is at the same facility.” Feeling elated by the progress they’re making with everyone contributing, she keeps on rolling. “Speaking of, Tech’s notes on the reason the bounty hunters were after Omega and why the stopped hunting her are very vague, suggesting that info was well hidden. Echo, have you and Rex been able to dig up anything more on that?”
“No, Weirdly, there’s absolutely no record of bounty hunters going after Omega in any Imperial logs we’ve found so far. Which suggests it was not the Imperials that put a bounty on her. Let me crossrefference the times at which the Bounty Hunters stopped showing up with the times that things began to move off of Kamino and see if we can find any correlations there.”
The room is quiet while Echo scomps into the computer. The screen nearest him lights up and Hunter and Wrecker provide additional eyes as he scrolls through the data, pointing out important pieces as they see them.
“Here!” Echo’s voice is triumphant. “Tarkin issued orders to put the Kaminoan Prime Minister under surveillance and then he was transferred off world! That’s all not long after we rescued Omega from the two bounty hunters and not long before Admiral Rampart destroyed Kamino. Looks like that does correlate with the time we noticed the bounty hunters seemed to have stopped searching for Omega.”
“So, its likely that it was the Kaminoans that put a target on her.” She reasons, “But why? What secrets do her genetics carry? What value does she have to Nala Se? Most of the evidence we’ve listed so far has to do with cloning, so it would seem that Hemlock’s work is some type of cloning project, but why is he using existing clones as test subjects? What is he cloning that requires test subjects, or are there other medical projects under Hemlock’s control?” Her train of thought seems doomed to derail just like the railcar.
“If you’re looking for answers, we definitely have less of those than you do” Wrecker laughs.
“There are clues everywhere.” She uses a finger to emphasize her point, but the glazed look in her eyes tell them her mind is still diving throught the data, “You just need to know where to look and how to read them.” Wrecker found himself exchanging glances with the other two.
“Okay, let’s backup. We know Omega, Crosshair, Nala Se, and now Tech are all in the custody of this Dr. Hemlock fellow, and all are central figures in his latest cloning project, which seems to utilise Kaminoan tech (if the Zillo Beast incident is anything to go on, that is, though that is a bit of a leap) and requires test subjects, a LOT of test subjects according to the transferred records Echo and Tech recovered. This would imply that all are likely to be found at the headquarters of the Advanced Science Division, and that there are too many things getting shipped into these new facilities for it to stay off the radar for very long. Track enough of them, and they will all trace back to this secret base, like rashnold on a kylak.”
“But, what does Hemlock want with Tech?” Like the rest of them, Wrecker’s mind is swirling with unanswered questions.
“It’s not clear,” Hunter answers, “all we know is that he was injured, in a lot of pain and barely conscious, and they have all the facilities to patch him back up there.”
“I think there’s more to it,” she cringes “but you’re not gonna like it.” She looks with a pointed pain at Echo out of the corner of her eye.
Echo turns even more pale, picking up on what she’s implying. “No. No, they better not have.”
Hunter starts to pick up on it too, he leans forwards in his chair and pinches the bridge of his nose, “I don’t have a good feeling about this.”
“Me either.” She almost whispers it, “But based on the fact that Hemlock needed Omega and Nala Se and test subjects, there’s something they weren’t able to get from the Kaminoan cloning equipment and whatever else they stole from Kamino before destroying it. Likely their records of how to actually do the cloning. Which would mean that they need a mind or two with lots of experience with Kaminoans and their cloning facilities, especially one that’s really good at untangling details and solving complex problems. Based on the fact that Crosshair sent you boys a Plan 88 message, warning that someone is in pursuit, it is likely that Hemlock knows how loyal your team in particular is. That would further suggest that Hemlock knows he’s not going to get anything useful from Tech while Tech is consciously aware of what he is doing. We also know from the Techno Union’s experiments on Echo that it is possible to use an unconscious mind as a strategic processing system. I’d wager that’s exactly what Hemlock plans to do with Tech to extract whatever in haran [hell] he’s missing.” her eyes gloss over as her mind races “kark, it would even be easy to hide him, since his name is ‘Tech’, and how Hemlock is clearly aware that clones are considered property. It’s just a box of equipment and ‘tech’ ready for installation or inspection at his facility, even Tarkin could miss a box with a generic label like that. I shudder to think…” her thought trails off as they all sit in an uncomfortable silence.
Each of them wore expressions of disgust as they stared into the distance, minds racing.
“Wait!” Wrecker seems to have caught something “Hemlock caught up with us pretty fast after Eriadu. We’d barely had time to get patched up and Omega got lucky that she woke up before he got there. I remember seeing a Light Cruiser or a Venator or something that looked like one above Ord Mantell! That ship had to come from somewhere and go somewhere, right? That’s a big ship to just disappear off the records all of a sudden! Do you think they already had Tech onboard?”
“Good point Wreck! You’re right it is!” She adds Wrecker’s input to her growing list on her datapad.
Echo’s excitement at having a lead they can act on is almost palpable. “We need shipping and transfer records from anything leaving Eriadu immediately after the explosion, specifically anything that went though Ord Mantel on it’s way to it’s destination. If we crossreference that with the destinations of shipments leaving Kamino shortly before Rampart destroyed it, we might be onto something!”
Hunter seems less worried now that they have something they can do, “Okay, so, step one: find an Imperial communications network we can discreetly tap into and extract shipping records from Kamino and Eriadu without arousing suspicion. Do we all agree with that?”
“Affirmative, Sergeant!” She and Echo, echo.
Wrecker cheers. “We’re coming Tech, just hold out a little longer.”
“...and… Omega and Crosshair” Hunter’s eyebrows raise in concern.
“Yeah, but Tech is the one in need of a nice medic,” Wrecker points out.
“We don’t know what state Crosshair is in, but given that he tried to warn us about Hemlock, it seems unlikely that Hemlock is treating him well. He may also be in need of a ‘nice medic’ Wrecker.” Echo points out.
Wrecker looks around the Marauder, looking at the bandages around Hunter’s waist, while somewhat restrained by his own medical collar. “Seems like we all need that right now,” he mutters.
“Hey big guy, AZI and I can handle you 3, I just hope we’re included in that ‘nice medic’ count of yours.” She gently nudges his shoulder, “Let’s get you lot on the mend fast so we can break into that Imperial data facility and get the stolen 3 back soon too. Yeah?”
“Yeah” agrees Wrecker, “thanks little lady, I don’t know what we would have done without you. Echo was right, we did need an outside voice for this mission.” He claps Echo on the shoulder. Even with the medical collar on, Wrecker’s energy seems to be at his usual fervor, as Echo gives him an annoyed look and rubs his own shoulder gently.
Hunter let’s out a huff and shakes his head. Looking back at the woman he adds in “Wrecker’s right, I don’t think we would have gotten this far without you. Thank you.” He turns to the room at large “Alright. Let’s pick an imperial data relay facility and work out a plan to get the shipping logs for Eriadu and Ord Mantel.”
Later, during Hunter’s watch, while the others are asleep, she sneaks into the cockpit.
“Hunter, can I talk to you?”
He turns in his seat to face her as she sits in the copilot’s seat “Sure. What’s up?” He’s clearly aware of the fact that she just snuck in to talk to him alone while the others were asleep, and is grateful she came to him as the squad leader with her concerns, but trying not to let that get to him just yet.
“There’s something weird here about all this. Techs actions at the railcar… something doesn’t sit right about it. I’m not sure what exactly though. But I have this weird, nagging feeling that it might have to do with what he found out about Crosshair defecting.”
Hunter seems glad that she came to him with her concerns “I’m glad you’re telling me this, but I’m not sure I’m going to be much help figuring it out. That’s normally Tech’s job.”
“So, when Tech couldn’t figure something out, how would you support him?”
“Usually? I’d force him to get some sleep.” Hunter sighs, “something tells me using my Sergeant status and ordering you to sleep isn’t gonna work here.”
She smiles, “na, not likely. I can’t turn off my mind enough to sleep right now. And I’m not very tired.”
They sit in silence for a few more minutes before he suggests she just say what she’s thinking out loud.
“Okay. I might be totally wrong on this though, but I’m not sure how else to interpret this, but it’s more of a feeling than anything supported by evidence this time.”
“You’ve been pretty spot on so far. I bet you’re not as far off as you think. Tech often says the same thing, and he’s usually got a better handle on it than he thinks he does,” Hunter kinda likes the way she asked what he did to help Tech when he was stuck, this felt exactly the same to him.
“Tech had a long way to fall, which means he had time to do something. Like more time than it would take to simply get out of the way of that railcar… so why is it that that is all he did? What if there was more to it?”
“Are you implying that Tech might have intended to get caught and didn’t intend to prevent his own injury?” Hunter asks, worry etching his features.
“Sorta,” Her expression tells him that she doesn’t like the idea either, “he seems to have reasoned that the only way to get to Crosshair was to get caught, and then just happened to literally fall into the right solution to get to him. He likely knew that if any of you simply surrendered, you wouldn’t be taken to the same place as Crosshair, too risky for the Empire to put a completely healthy and independently creative or ‘deviant’ clone in a situation where one or more of their own was at risk. You lads fight your way out of situations like that all the time…
Tech may have also gotten the inkling that they wanted Omega back too, we established that he knew she was important to something the Kaminoans were doing. The question is what? What did he know that he didn’t write down?...” Her thoughts drift off.
Hunter just watches, knowing she will continue, theres too many thoughts swirling in her eyes, they need to be let out.
“But maybe that part doesn’t matter yet. Going back to getting to Crosshair and Omega though… if Tech arrived there healthy his presence would put Omega at risk. They know he’s attached to her and probably wouldn’t hesitate to use her against him. And they wanted more compliant test subjects. The most compliant are always the wounded because they can prolong their vulnerability and exploit it as a weakness. Gruesome and morally twisted, but that seems like the Imperial thing to do given the way the chips fell…”
“And it’s exactly the sort of thing Tech would just do and then tell us later that he ‘thought it was obvious’” Hunter spoke though his hands, which covered his mouth. His brow knitted in concern.
The doors opened and Echo entered quietly and sat down. The cockpit doors closed behind him.
She smiled, “old habits die hard, huh Echo?”
Hunter raised a brow, but otherwise didn’t move.
Echo rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. “Yeah. Something like that.”
Hunter gave him a look. He wasn’t about to let it go with just that.
Embarrassed, Echo began explaining “I, uhhh, when I was with the 501st, my bestfriend, Fives, was really good at getting into things that he shouldn’t. But he couldn’t smooth talk his way out of anything. He thought he could tho,” Echo laughed, eyes distant and filled with memory, “it was fun, and it didn’t seem fair to let him pay the price when I would follow him right into trouble, knowing that’s where he was leading us. So I got really good at getting us out of it… I…erh… may or may not have heard most of that conversation. I scomped into the system from the computers back there,” he gestured over his shoulder with his thumb, “and let the surveillance feed play in my uhhh,” he pointed at the device on his head, and looked pleadingly at Hunter, hoping he wouldn’t have to put a name to it. Echo hated how much machinery he required just to live a normal life anymore.
Hunter just laughed. “Rex warned me about your mischievous side when we took you in. I was wondering how long you were gonna try to keep it to yourself. Though you seemed content to just let it out when you thought I wasn’t gonna mention anything, I think it even encouraged the trickster in Omega a few times.”
“Ha! Sorry.” Echo pinched the bridge of his nose. “I was afraid of that.”
“Such a brotherly thing to do, encourage his little sister to be a little troublemaker.” She was smiling at them from her chair.
Both the men laughed quietly and returned the grin.
“I’m glad you heard that though, Echo, but I’m not sure we should tell Wrecker. I would hate to make him more worried about Tech. It was so sweet of him to worry about the medical care Tech is recieving. I know medical things bother Wrecker the most. I get the feeling he’d be really upset if he figured out that Tech might have let himself get hurt, intentionally. Wrecker’s got such a big heart.”
“Then let’s focus on the mission objectives,” Echo chimed in. “I’ve been thinking about whether we should team up with Rex for the intel part of the mission. I have a feeling he wouldn’t want to miss a chance to gather some intel on the Imperials while we have the chance.”
Hunter’s eyes focused on the floor lost in intense thought, the light of the console and the stillness and determination in his expression only highlighting the tattoo covering half his face.
After a few moments, he looks back up at Echo and nods. “Contact him. We will see what he says in the morning. Until then, you two need rest, this was supposed to be my watch after all,” he smirks, bidding them goodnight as Echo scomps into the comm system, and she exits the cockpit, yawning and ready for a good rest so they can develop a plan in the morning.

Clones headcanons ft. the battle of Umbara ;-;
When Obi-Wan Kenobi and the rest of the 212th met up with the 501st, they were deeply shocked to hear what had happened to Pong Krell. Obi-Wan wasn’t sure how to react, but Cody was adamant that Rex and the others were speaking the truth, and convinced him.
Cody helped Rex and the others breach the Umbaran surveillance system so they could access the footage of Krell’s actions and especially his confession in the brig. They used this to prove that their actions were justified.
According to military law, Dogma was court-martialled after they all returned to Coruscant, but with the recording of Krell’s confession and Rex, Jesse, Fives and Tup all vouching for him, he was cleared of all charges.
He never returned to the 501st; while Rex promised to give him another fair chance, he decided too much had happened and that he would be better off elsewhere. He stayed on Coruscant instead, becoming part of the military police.
Anakin was shook when he heard what had happened, and decided to never leave the 501st under someone else’s command anymore. The only person he still entrusted with his men was Ahsoka.
Ahsoka was similarly shocked, and went to talk to Rex about it. They ended up having a long, in-depth conversation about orders and when to follow them. In hindsight it was one of the first truly equal conversations between them.
When the Empire rose to power, they erased Pong Krell from the battle records, instead framing it simply as a victory of the inventiveness of loyal soldiers, to serve as an example. The reason why this inventiveness had been needed in the first place was conveniently omitted.

Haunted Clone Week
Written for the Day 4 prompt "Eldritch Horror"
@clonefandomevents
AO3 version here
Waxer has a run in with a weird space creature while scouting a ship in orbit and it has long lasting side effects (aka what if Waxer becomes space Venom?) Waxer/Boil
Trigger Warning for having a creature fuse with your body and soul, tentacles
It was always Waxer. Civvies throwing rotten fruit at them? Waxer was the one getting hit. Sith trap that turned your skin blue? Waxer was the scout that was expected to spring it. Separatist leader wanted someone to carry his things while their General tried to smooze their way into intel for whatever their mission was about? Waxer was the poor sap getting loaded with heavy crates and expected to walk double time. He was starting to think the Force had it out for him.
“I don’t know what it did. I barely saw the thing. It felt like some sort of space octopus I guess.” Waxer recounted dutifully as he sat in the medbay getting his post mission check-up with Boil, Cody and Obi-Wan all nearby listening.
“Space octopus?” Cody repeated with a raised eyebrow and Waxer sighed long and hard.
“Commander, I was only out there long enough to examine the breach in the hull and verify that it wasn’t large enough for a person to climb through so we can be certain that the hull will be empty when we cut it open and send troopers in. I wasn’t equipped to deal with a kriffing ink black monster to shoot out and attach itself to my face.” He grumbled. They had quickly dragged him back to their ship when he started screaming and by the time they got to him the thing was gone and he was just curled in a ball whimpering. He couldn’t really remember why but it left him with a killer headache and now the whole ship was on lock down while they looked for the thing before it could hurt someone else.
Obi-Wan stroked his beard thoughtfully. “I do not sense the creature in the force but Waxer’s force presence is clouded now and not as bright as it normally is. That does concern me greatly if the sith were able to get their hands on such a creature. If it’s able to meddle with someone’s connection to the force-” He said and Cody finished
“That would be bad… really bad.” He sighed and started sending out orders on the coms for every able bodied trooper to start an in-depth search of the ship. “I’ll take a team and start in the engine rooms and we’ll sweep the ship. Boil will remain with Waxer in case the thing comes back. Thankfully we were able to land so if we find the thing, we can toss it out on the planet and get out of here before it gets back on.” He said and left before Obi-Wan could try to argue that they should keep it for study.
“Of course the thing is going to come back and try to kill me in my sleep. I have the worst kriffing luck in the GAR.” Waxer whined as Bones cleared him and patted him on the head.
“The worst and the best vod, seeing as you’re still alive despite all the crazy you end up part of. If you start growing octopus tendrils, call for me, otherwise you’re here for 24 hours before I’ll clear you.” He said before moving on to other patients.
“He’s laughing at me. Boil, I almost died again and our medic is laughing at me.” Waxer whined and Boil just pressed a kiss to Waxer’s forehead.
“I’m laughing at you too. You got attacked by what you are describing as a space octopus and then cried yourself into unconsciousness.  It’s a little pathetic, even for you.” He said and Waxer slapped his arm.
“You’re terrible. I knew I should have accepted when Rex’s Domino asked me out. He was all sweet, unlike you. You’re a terrible Cyare laughing at me when I’m wounded!” He said as dramatically as possible.
“Really? You’d leave me for a 501st vod? And a shiny at that?!” Boil said looking truly offended at the thought and Waxer grinned.
“Not shiny anymore, he’s an ARC now, both of them are. Don’t worry, they’re Rex’s. He’d have Cody murder me in my sleep if I dared to date either of them. You’re safe for now, Cyare,” he teased, patting the same arm he had slapped gently. Boil rolled his eyes.
“They all just fall for the cute cuddly front you put on. I love you despite the snoring and blanket hogging and whining and the fact you kick in your sleep. They’d dump you by the morning.” Boil said back.
“That reminds me of this thing I heard some natborns chatting about. On the holoweb there’s videos of different people asking their partners if they would still love them if they were a worm. We should get some of the vode to do it. Imagine Obi-Wan asking Cody… Cody’s face would be so good.” He chuckled as Boil shoved Waxer over to join him in the hospital bed so they could cuddle under the single blanket.
“Would you love me if I were a worm?” Waxer asked after a little period of quiet.
“Waxer… I’d love you even if you were the grossest, most slimy worm in the galaxy. Now try to sleep. I’ll keep watch so no more space octopi attack you.” Boil murmured softly and Waxer smiled and kissed him softly.
“I’d love you if you were a worm too.” He said before falling asleep to the sound of Boil’s heartbeat under his ear.
Boil fell asleep shortly after, the stress of worrying about Waxer having worn him out and the feeling of having his partner safe in his arms soothing him into a deep sleep. Deep enough that he didn’t notice at first when something had changed. When warm brown skin started to turn inky black under where he had his arms wrapped around his partner. He didn’t notice anything until Waxer started to thrash around and make sounds of pain and Boil work with a start and called for the nearest medic in a panic.
Boil was shoved away as the three medics on duty swarmed the bed and the image of black tendrils bursting from his lover’s back once they turned him over was going to be burned into his memories for ages as guilt started to twist in his gut. He was supposed to watch over him and keep him safe and he has fallen asleep on his post.
Cody and Obi-Wan were called back to the room and Boil told them everything he knew, being honest about having fallen asleep.
“Waxer will be okay Boil… We’ve figured out what the creature is. It’s a Sydelian soul leech. They feed on positive emotions and memories in their hosts and form a symbiotic relationship with them that allows them to protect the host body from harm. It speeds healing, can form tendrils like the ones you saw to reach out for things and the tendrils are much stronger than most base human muscles. Sydelians see it as a blessing to be chosen by one. The pain Waxer was experiencing was mental as he fought against the creature but now I was able to calm him, he's doing better." Obi-Wan explained and Boil frowned.
"How do we get rid of it?" He asked and didn't like the way Cody stopped Obi-Wan from answering.
"We don't. It bonds to a person's… essence. What you might call their manda, what a Jedi would refer to as their force presence… it becomes a part of them mentally and spiritually. It will leave if it lacks food but like we said, it feeds on emotions and purposefully choses a host it knows will sustain it. There's normally a whole ritual where they release the leech amongst their people to allow it to claim a host- it seems pirates were hired to steal the leech for Dooku but they got shot by the Sydelian guard ships. We were meant to make sure there were no sith or force artifacts before they reclaimed it but… well… they believe if it chose Waxer then he is worthy and aren't mad at us. In fact they took it as a sign to strengthen their alliance with the Republic." Cody said seriously.
Boil wasn't stupid enough to say he didn't care about the Sydelians when Waxer had gotten some weird space creature bonded to his kriffing soul due to them hiding things. But he really just wanted Waxer to be okay.
"You can see him now. He's fine. Just needs rest and time to process the change. Obi-Wan and I are gathering information on how this might affect him and how everything works." Cody promised and patted him on the shoulder as they left.
Boil crept back into the room and sighed in relief to see Waxer looked normal again. "Wax? You… okay?" He asked and Waxer looked at him.
"Yeah, the General did… something and it made the… the… uh… thing stop freaking out. It was reacting to my nightmare and trying to protect me. Nearly tossed Bones into a wall. It's freaky but they promised that eventually I'll be able to control it and it's not going to kill me. The General is trying really hard to be polite but I can tell he wants to nerd out about this." Waxer said, giving him a little grin and that soothed Boil a little more.
"Freaky is an understatement. You had kriffing tentacles Waxer!" He said and Waxer reached out to squeeze Boil's hand.
"It wasn't as fun as the kinky holos made it seem? Dang and here I thought I finally was getting lucky." Waxer joked and Boil groaned.
"I take it back. If you were a worm, I'd feed you to a bird or use you to fish on Kamino." He grumbled and Waxer gasped with a hand to his heart.
"Break my heart twice in one day, why don't you? So grouchy. Boil… it was already in my head. Before we fell asleep. You wouldn't have changed anything by being awake and I'm fine. Really." He promised and Boil sighed but settled back beside him. They'd figure this out like they always did.

title: blades (chapter 2: grateful) (click for chapter 1) word count: ~1900 ship: six/holiday summary: Six learns about his magnablades all over again. ao3 link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/47419594/chapters/119493331
“So let me get this straight: we’re all infected with nanites, except for you, because we tried to kill each other and you got trapped in an electromagnetic explosion. And you can’t ever leave your little germ-free box without risking exposure, is that right?”
White Knight nodded.
“And my new partner is, what, the teenager? We fight mutants together and he can turn them back to normal?” Six crossed his arms over his chest. “This can’t be real.”
“It’s real, Six. And they’re called EVOs, not mutants.”
“Who came up with that? It sounds stupid.”
White sighed. “I don’t know. Dr. Holiday could probably tell you. Try to focus on the important details.”
“Like the fact that you and I clearly haven’t been friends in years, and now I spend all my time with a woman I’m not even sleeping with and a kid who isn’t mine. Those details?”
White Knight could feel a headache coming on. He’d forgotten how annoying Six used to be - though they’d gotten along back then, it was only for short bursts at a time. “Dr. Holiday and Rex.”
“You don’t expect me to remember that. There’s no way I’m staying here, Knight. We’re wearing monkey suits, for Christ’s sake. And where’s my katana?”
“Give it a day, Six. There’s always EVOs running amok somewhere, we can send you out in the field with Rex and you’ll see if they can keep your interest.”
“Fine. And my katana?”
“It’s in your room. Holiday can take you-” White paused, interrupted by the smirk that appeared on Six’s face. It’d been so many years since he last saw this behavior in Six that he’d forgotten how single-minded the man used to be. “Nevermind. I’ll show you where it is.”
“I’d be fine with her,” Six responded with a clear thought in mind. “Are you sure I haven’t hit that? Really?”
“I cannot stress enough how we don’t talk about this kind of thing anymore.”
Six scoffed. “She couldn’t be more my type. I could see her being a reason to stick around in this place.”
White felt his headache getting worse and worse every second. “Look. Once you’ve experienced her…personality, you may change your tune.”
“A shining endorsement from you.”
“Forget it. Just get to your room and then back to the lab, I wasn’t kidding about there always being EVO problems. Just got an alert.”
Six gave his de facto boss a sarcastic two-finger salute. “Lead the way, partner.”
x
When Six left the room to have a private, informative conversation with White Knight, Holiday stood there uncomfortably with Rex, Bobo, and Caesar trying to figure out what to do next. Six would still be as skilled without his memories, sure, but he was so different. In just two minutes, he’d proven himself to be a hotheaded asshole with no sense of personal space.
She walked over to Six’s magnablades that were still laying on the floor. Holiday picked them up carefully, her head swimming with thoughts that the magnetic pulse they emitted could’ve been part of the problem. That didn’t make Six’s amnesia her fault, but she didn’t understand why he’d pulled out his swords to begin with. If she didn’t know better, she’d think he was going to attack Rex.
That didn’t make sense. Though White Knight’s orders were just as confusing. There was no way White would explain himself and now Six wasn't able to. Great.
Holiday held the swords to her chest and sighed. She’d just keep these with her until he needed them back.
If he ever needed them back.
x
Six had had quite the day. It was stressful and upsetting and life-altering and he wasn’t sure if he’d made the right decision - but he was sticking to it.
Knight hadn’t been particularly convincing earlier in the day, and he’d been right about Holiday’s personality not matching her looks. But Rex’s trust in him made Six change his mind. He was going to give this place a shot, if only to become the man he used to be. The man who saved lives instead of taking them and built trusting, close relationships with people he cared about rather than keep everyone at a distance.
It was going to be an adjustment.
He’d also found out through Rex that his face was recently plastered all over TV for some weird news show - so going back to his old job permanently would’ve been difficult. His life of secrecy was pretty much destroyed the moment that went on the air.
Six spent a few hours after Rex destroyed his brother’s machine getting better acquainted with Providence and how it operated. He learned more about nanites and mutations and Rex than he probably needed to know, but it was better to know too much than too little. He wanted to be prepared for whatever he’d be facing.
After a quick bite to eat, Six headed back to his room (or dorm, or apartment, or whatever they called them). He’d looked around it earlier and was surprised by the size - less surprised by the lack of personal effects. He had his clothes, his weapons, his sunglasses, and some medication in the bathroom. At least he had his own bathroom, he supposed. Could’ve been worse.
He typed in the key code that Knight provided and raised a curious eyebrow as the door slid open: the lights were already on and Dr. Holiday was standing in front of his dresser holding something.
She turned to him with a light blush on her cheeks, looking like a kid caught with their hand in the cookie jar. “Six. I didn’t expect you back so soon.”
Six absolutely couldn’t help himself from smirking and leaning casually against the wall. “Do you usually let yourself into my room whenever you want?”
Holiday stared at him for a second before turning away and sighing deeply. The action made Six feel like he’d done something wrong - he wasn’t the one who was trespassing in someone else’s bedroom. Even if she used to spend a lot of time in his room, he would have no way of knowing that now.
“No, I don’t.” She held her arms across her stomach and pouted, looking around the room. “I just wanted to bring you your magnablades.”
“My what?” Six stepped closer and realized that was what she placed on his dresser. He hadn’t seen them before, and upon closer inspection he noticed they were swords with a particularly unique design. “Since when have I used these?”
Holiday shrugged. “I made them for you a couple years ago.”
“You made them for me?” He picked them up and squeezed the handles, fascinated by how nicely they fit into his hands. She definitely wasn’t lying, they felt like they were made just for him. “Why?”
“You were training Rex and sometimes his builds would go haywire.” She reached out and laid her hands on top of his, pushing the two swords together. “When connected, the blades emit a magnetic pulse that can move certain metals out of your way.”
Six stared down at their hands, then up at her face. Though she’d annoyed him earlier in the day, he decided at that moment that he liked listening to her talk. She had a pretty voice and what seemed to be a brilliant mind. So maybe she was a little stuck-up, that wasn’t exactly a dealbreaker.
Also…he had a feeling that Knight was wrong about them. These swords seemed like a romantic gift, if Six had to guess. Plus she knew the code to get into his room. That was definitely a relationship kind of thing. Wasn’t it?
She turned to look back at him, and Six could feel his heart pounding in his head as he stared into her eyes. If they hadn’t been in a relationship, that would mean he worked side-by-side with this woman for half a decade without cracking. Without even so much as kissing her? How?
“It’s Rebecca, right?” he asked suddenly. “Dr. Rebecca Holiday.”
Holiday removed her hands from his and shoved them in her white coat pockets. “Right. And of course your full name is…”
He smirked, placing the magnablades back down on the dresser. “Six is all I’ve got.”
“Of course it is.” Holiday rolled her eyes. She knew that wouldn’t work and she didn’t even know what she’d do with the information if Six gave it to her.
Six liked that she asked, though. It meant she still had some interest in him, after all. He’d learned throughout the day that his older self had been much more mature and calm about his undeniable feelings for the doctor, and that she seemed to prefer the kind of man who didn’t throw her a line every other sentence. Which was also going to be an adjustment, because he really wanted to tell her things she deserved to be told. She might not appreciate all of it, though.
Instead, unable to completely hold himself back, Six turned to her and asked, “Did I ever tell you you’re beautiful?”
Her cheeks turned bright red and she rolled her eyes again, arms huddling tighter around herself. “You’ve said it a few times today, thanks.”
“No, I mean…before today,” he added. “You give me checkups, you build me swords, you do who knows what else for me. I know this can’t all be in your job description.”
She sighed again. “I don’t do this work for compliments. It needed to be done, so I did it.”
“So that’s a no.”
“It’s a it-doesn’t-matter. You’re - well, you were…or, well, you… are my friend, Six.” Holiday was stumbling over her words like a teenager. “You being here for me and Rex is reason enough for me to help you.”
Six stared at her as she spoke, trying to ignore how cute she looked when she muttered.
Friend, friend, friend. He’d never been much for friends. He’d never considered any of the Numbers to be his friends, not even Five. White was probably the closest he’d ever had, and even that friendship was pretty on-and-off. But here, in this room, stood a woman that felt like a pillar of kindness and generosity, and she was referring to him as her friend. It was absolutely baffling. He must have become a truly amazing person in those missing six years to justify a relationship like this.
"I appreciate the sentiment," he responded, "but I like to think I'm more grateful now than I used to be."
"Excuse me?"
Six leaned forward, a little in her space again but God did he enjoy being in her space. She smelled really good. "Anything you need, Dr. Holiday, just let me know. Anything at all."
Holiday blushed again, not as obviously this time, and pressed her hand into his shoulder blade to push him away from her face. "If I come up with something, I'll tell you, alright?"
She headed towards the door and Six watched her walk away with a satisfied smile on his face. "And feel free to visit anytime. My door's always open for you."
Holiday sighed again and left the room without another word.
Six stared at his closed door for a few seconds, then turned to grab his fancy new swords. He really wanted to play around with these. Maybe Rex wouldn't mind going toe-to-toe again.

One More Hour Part 3
A/N: This is technically part three as the ficlet Remember Me is technically part two. Btw, it's true what they say about writing in Comic Sans and I can't get over how funny writing Angst in Comic Sans is lmao.
Summary: Rex gives you some answers about Dogma's reconditioning.
Pairing: Dogma x F!Reader
Warnings: 18+ Minors DNI; Angst
Part One︱Part Two ︱Part Three
Tumblr media
You secretly spend the next couple weeks trying to jog Dogma’s memory, trying desperately to get him to remember who he is. Who you are. You tell him about the first time you saw him and how you immediately were drawn to him. You tell him about all of your late night talks. You show him the closet that you had your first and last kiss in before he left. Unfortunately, nothing you tell him helps, though.
You can tell he feels bad about it, but you try to reassure him it’s not his fault. You want nothing more than to comfort him but you’re afraid of touching him, not wanting to overwhelm him.
You tell him about Pong Krell and how he made the clones of the 501st and 212th attack each other. When he asks why the former Jedi general would do such a thing, you tell him you don’t know. You leave out the part where Dogma was thrown in the brig for trying to make the 501st execute Fives and Jesse on behalf of Pong Krell. He doesn’t need that on his conscience and you know that Fives and Jesse aren’t upset about it anymore.
“I don’t know what else to do. Is there a way to undo what the Kaminoans have done?” You ask Kix as you wipe down the beds before turning in for the night.
You’re back on base on Coruscant, thankfully. You had a hard time looking at or working with the Kaminoans after learning what they’d done.
“I’ve been asking around… I know the Jedi are the ones who told the Kaminoans but I thought about going to General Skywalker. He respects and cares for his men.” Kix looks up at you from his clipboard.
You know that Skywalker wasn’t like the other Jedi… You’ve seen what he’s done for the clones.
You nod. “Alright. Talk to him.”
There’s a knock on the door and both of you look up to find Dogma, smiling softly at you. You feel all the tension in your shoulders drain as you look at the man you love.
“Hey.” You smile back.
“Would you possibly want to take a walk with me?” He asks you, glancing at Kix.
“I’d love to. I should be done in like ten minutes.” You tell him.
“I can finish wiping down. Go ahead.” Kix nods.
“You sure?” You ask him, grateful for your friendship with him.
“I’m sure. Go on.” He smiles.
You give Kix a grateful smile and go wash your hands before heading out with Dogma.
The night is clear and the Coruscant air is fresh compared to the salty rainy air on Kamino. You look up at the moon as it shines directly over you and Dogma.
“You look very pretty today.” Dogma tells you softly, as you walk through the base. “I- I mean you do every day. You just-”
“Thank you. That’s very sweet of you to say.” You feel yourself go warm in the face as you chuckle at his awkwardness.
He rubs his neck, looking away from you. You finally reach your barracks and you nervously slip your hand into his and he stops to look down at your hands.
“Is… Is this okay?” You ask him.
“More than.” He smiles, finally meeting your eyes.
You still feel like you do the first time you ever saw him. Your stomach is fluttering and you know that you’re never going to stop feeling this way.
“Thank you for not giving up on me.” Dogma murmurs.
“No need to thank me. I promised you I’d never give up on you.” You promise him, squeezing his hand.
He leans into you slightly, more of your skin brushing against each other. You can’t stop looking up into his eyes. He’s smiling wider at you, glancing at your lips. He starts to lean in and you close your eyes, waiting for him to take it at his own pace.
You hear a throat clear and find Captain Rex standing ten feet away. You immediately scowl at the man. Dogma straightens up, pulling away from you.
“Captain.” Dogma greets him.
“Rex…” You say, distastefully.
You wonder if you’re ever going to be able to get over being upset with the captain. A part of you knows he was just following protocol… Another part of you knows that he genuinely does feel terrible about it.
“Could I possibly have a moment with you?” Rex asks you.
You tilt your head confused. “Me?”
He nods. “Please.”
“I’ll see you around.” Dogma smiles at you and walks away.
You watch him walk away, your heart clenching like it does every single time you watch him walk away from you.
Kix walks up to you and Rex seconds later and Rex greets him with a pat on the shoulder.
“What’s going on?” You ask Kix.
“Rex found out some information.” Kix explains.
Rex shifts from one foot to the other. Clearly the information wasn’t going to be something you’d be happy about.
“What is it?” You ask him, crossing your arms.
“This wasn’t the first time Dogma was reconned…” Rex tells you. “Before you two met… he disobeyed orders and accidentally got a Jedi padawan killed. The Kaminoans reconned him the first time after that.”
That explains why he was wound a little tight before you got to know him, you suppose. Poor Dogma…
“Why are you telling me this?” You ask him.
You can’t help but wonder what Dogma was like before the first recon.
“Because… there’s no way to undo what’s been done. I’m sorry.” He does look sorry.
Your stomach drops. “You’re lying.”
“I’m not lying. I’m so sorry.” Rex sighs.
You look at Kix, tears filling your eyes as your lip slightly trembles. Dogma would never remember the first time he looked at you and smirked. He’d never remember pulling you off the battlefield after you were shot and holding your hand for the first time. He’d never remember the times in your secret closet. He’d never remember the first time telling you that he wanted to make you his riduur, promising to take you somewhere safe after the war.
You feel like you’ve been punched in the stomach, so you sit down on the steps outside your barracks. Kix sits down next to you with an arm around your shoulders.
You feel like you’re letting Dogma down. All you want to do right now is go to him and fling yourself into his arms.
“I am so… sorry.” Rex tells you.
You look up at him and nod. “I know.”
It was as close to forgiveness that you could give the captain right now. Your heart aches terribly for Dogma.
“I’ll do whatever it takes to help him.” Rex assures you. “And you.”
You believe him.
