I will write this thought about Veganism and Classism in the USA in another post so as to not derail the other thread:
There are comments in the notes that say meat is only cheaper than plant based foods because of subsidies artificially lowering the price of meat in the United States. This is...part of the story but not all of it.
For my animal agriculture lab we went to a butcher shop and watched the butcher cut up a pig into various cuts of meat. I have had to study quite a bit about the meat industry in that class. This has been the first time I fully realized how strongly the meat on a single animal is divided up by socioeconomic class.
Like yes, meat cumulatively takes more natural resources to create and thus should be more expensive, but once that animal is cut apart, it is divided up between rich and poor based on how good to eat the parts are. I was really shocked at watching this process and seeing just how clean and crisp an indicator of class this is.
Specifically, the types of meat I'm most familiar with are traditionally "waste" parts left over once the desirable parts are gone. For example, beef brisket is the dangly, floppy bit on the front of a cow's neck. Pork spareribs are the part of the ribcage that's barely got anything on it.
And that stuff is a tier above the "meat" that is most of what poor people eat: sausage, hot dogs, bologna, other heavily processed meat products that are essentially made up of all the scraps from the carcass that can't go into the "cuts" of meat. Where my mom comes from in North Carolina, you can buy "livermush" which is a processed meat product made up of a mixture of liver and a bunch of random body parts ground up and congealed together. There's also "head cheese" (made of parts of the pig's head) and pickled pigs' feet and chitlin's (that's made of intestines iirc) and cracklin's (basically crispy fried pig skin) and probably a bunch of stuff i'm forgetting. A lot of traditional Southern cooking uses basically scraps of animal ingredients to stretch across multiple meals, like putting pork fat in beans or saving bacon grease for gravy or the like.
So another dysfunctional thing about our food system, is that instead of people of each socioeconomic class eating a certain number of animals, every individual animal is basically divided up along class lines, with the poorest people eating the scraps no one else will eat (oftentimes heavily processed in a way that makes it incredibly unhealthy).
Even the 70% lean ground beef is made by injecting extra leftover fat back into the ground-up meat because the extra fat is undesirable on the "better" cuts. (Gross!)
I've made, or eaten, many a recipe where the only thing that makes it non-vegan is the chicken broth. Chicken broth, just leftover chicken bones and cartilage rendered and boiled down in water? How much is that "driving demand" for meat, when it's basically a byproduct?
That class really made me twist my brain around about the idea of abstaining from animal products as a way to deprive the industry of profits. Nobody eats "X number of cows, pigs, chickens in a lifetime" because depending on the socioeconomic class, they're eating different parts of the animal, splitting it with someone richer or poorer than they are. If a bunch of people who only ate processed meats anyway abstained, that wouldn't equal "saving" X number of animals, it would just mean the scraps and byproducts from a bunch of people's steaks or pork chops would have something different happen to them.
The other major relevant conclusion I got from that class, was that animal agriculture is so dominant because of monoculture. People think it's animal agriculture vs. plant agriculture (or plants used for human consumption vs. using them to feed livestock), but from capitalism's point of view, feeding animals corn is just another way to use corn to generate profits.
People think we could feed the world by using the grain fed to animals to feed humans, but...the grain fed to animals, is not actually a viable diet for the human population, because it's literally just corn and soybean. Like animal agriculture is used to give some semblance of variety to the consumer's diet in a system that is almost totally dominated by like 3 monocrops.
Do y'all have any idea how much of the American diet is just corn?!?! Corn starch, corn syrup, corn this, corn that, processed into the appearance of variety. And chickens and pigs are just another way to process corn. That's basically why we have them, because they can eat our corn. It's a total disaster.
And it's even worse because almost all the USA's plant foods that aren't the giant industrial monocrops maintained by pesticides and machines, are harvested and cared for by undocumented migrant workers that get abused and mistreated and can't say anything because their boss will tattle on them to ICE.

Laios superfan and Monster ultrafran anon back again! I am now curious about all the dragons that appear. They're summoned by Thistle rather than ocurring "naturally" in the dungeon, but I'm left wondering if all the dragons have a common ancestor....
Actually, do any monsters have an evolutionary line? Are they just spawned as-is into the world, and can only exist in the dungeon? Are they products of The Demon or are they actual creatures?
Because Laios does mention Doppelgangers existing in his homeplace, but also mentions that the dungeon is a giant pool of mana that without which some monsters couldn't survive (i.e. Falin Chimera, which he considers making smaller or into a different type of dragon with Those mushrooms). And then in one of the tidbits, Thistel spawns in a Giant Mega Monster, but it has to be fed a whale every 30 minutes, which just doesn't seem like a sustainable metabolism for a creature to have.
I understand why Miss Kui didn't give us the phylogenetic tree of every monster ever, but I do have a paleontology degree and I can't help but wonder about these things.
Hello! That's such a cool degree!!
There's definitely monsters living in the surface, I was wondering about that too because of the Chimera Falin thing, here's the pages about dragons from the Adventurer's Bible, it includes what level of the dungeon they can be found in but some of them don't actually live within the dungeon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can only imagine they had some ancestor that's the same since something like a nightmare is still considered a dragon even thought they don't look like one, monsters in dungeon meshi seem to be animals that have been influenced by magic/mana.
There are monsters who are magical creatures tho, in the sense they're created using magic instead of something naturally occuring, perhaps Thistles ultimate monster is one of those? Since he feeds on spirits and not meat
Tumblr media
Mana is everywhere in the world but more condensed inside the dungeons, so my guess would be that the bigger monsters live in places where they can absorb the most mana? Or in places where there aren't many other big monsters to out compete them in mana consumption? Perhaps Falin in the first floor of the dungeon is more akin to trying to keep a deep sea fish alive in the surface? or wait, perhaps like someone that lives on sea level and goes abruptly to a higher altitude without time to adapt.
But a creature like her would be better off away from other monsters that consuming the low mana reserve? Lots of assumptions.

Belly attendant
With the use of magic, your society had long ago relegated most childbearing duties to priests and priestesses of the various local fertility deities. Dedicated surrogates were able to carry vast numbers of children of all different fantasy races and gestation times, staying permanently pregnant and periodically birthing children in batches.
Your role in the temple is a vital one: you serve as the personal attendant to the temple's second highest ranking surrogate priestess, the beautiful elven woman Naia Springblossom. You're never away from her for longer than it takes to fetch her food or other objects, and spend most of your time in contact with her vast, active belly. You take care of all of the needs that the helplessly pregnant wood elf is unable to handle on her own, which is almost all of them.
You and your priestess are traveling back to your home temple from a meeting with the Archbishop. The immobile elf travels long distances in a plush palanquin, borne by magically animated golems. You're squeezed in with her, buried between the pile of soft pillows and the warm, heaving expanse of her womb. As Naia gets some rest, you snuggle and kiss the brown, lotion-scented orb, feeling the babies of all different shapes and sizes moving and kicking, jostling for space in her tightly-packed belly.
Feeling a wetness on your shoulder, you realize that the breast you're resting your head on has begun to leak. Each of her bosoms is the size of a blue-ribbon dairy cow's udder, and just as productive. The several gallons that she lactates per day are pumped and stored within the temple so they can be distributed to families to feed their newborns.
The uncomfortable fullness in her vast bosom and the sensation of wetness on her silken robe awakens Naia from her nap. As she rubs her eyes and yawns you greet her with kisses to the top of her belly. "Mmmmff... why did you let me sleep so long? My tits feel like overstuffed wineskins." she playfully complains. "You'd be even crankier if I woke you before you were ready" I reply, sitting up to pull the pump attachments down from the small chamber's ceiling. The palanquin quakes as she struggles to adjust her mountainous bulk, trying to situate herself comfortably in the pillow-lined box.
You suction the pumps onto her nipples and gently squeeze her to help get the milk flowing. She moans in relief, squeezing and rubbing her fat thighs together as her sensitive teats are suctioned and fondled. You massage her full breasts from the base, making sure she doesn't suffer from any clogged ducts. You can feel the movement in her belly intensifying, her brood responding to the stimulation with increased activity. Knowing exactly how much she craves intimate attention while being milked, you lean forward, squishing yourself into her sweaty cleavage to bring your head in range to plant a kiss on her plump, brown lips. She immediately grabs the back of your head and pulls you in close, parting your lips with her tongue. Pressed tightly against her belly, you know she can feel your rock-hard cock poking into her maternal swell.
The two of you passionately kiss and grope each other until the flow of milk from her enveloping udders starts to subside. You extricate yourself from the sweat-soaked cavern of her cleavage and pop the milking cups off her heavy udders. You take her fat nipple into your mouth and indulge in a taste of her sweet, rich milk. Lightly teasing her nipple with your teeth makes her gasp and moan. Staring at you with needy eyes, she beckons you over to her other side. You awkwardly climb around the immense bulk of her fertile swell and squeeze between her wide, ample butt and the chamber wall. She moans as you squeeze her always-sore shoulders, pressing and wiggling her fat hips against you. "Please..." she softly whimpers, and you know exactly what she's craving. Naia, having spent years bloated to utter helplessness with her surrogate brood, can't even come close to reaching her sensitively swollen pussy with her fat ass and turgid womb in the way. One of your most sacred duties is to keep her pleasured and satisifed, though you both sometimes enjoy teasing her, letting her squeeze a pillow between her legs while she begs and begs for you to satisfy the all-consuming ache in her dripping cunt.
"What does my poor, swollen broodmother need?" I tease.
"I need you," she whines, "Please, you know how I feel when I'm about to go into labor. "
You snake your hand down between her fat thighs, cupping and lightly squeezing her plump pussy mound. Your teasing makes her whimper and press hard against you, squishing your lower torso and hips against the wall and making your hard bulge press deeper into her soft cushion of a butt. You slip two fingers inside her dripping opening, varying your movements in and out of her while slowly increasing the tempo. When you can tell she's starting to get lost in the throes of pleasure you switch to pressing against her swollen clit, making circles around the sensitive nub with your fingers, then rubbing back and forth forcefully, eliciting stabs of pleasure that make her let out wordless vocalizations of bliss.
You feel that she's getting close, and ramp up the speed and pressure in preparation for putting her over the edge. "Cum for me, honey. My huge, perfect broodmother. Let all that pressure out." Her bucking hips smother you against the wall and her cunt soaks your arm with her cum as she cries out in pleasure.
You both relax in the afterglow, spooned together with your hand resting on her writhing womb. You never get tired of feeling the contrast between the light flutters of her smaller passengers and the thumping, uncomfortable kicks from the largest of her surrogate children, including an ogre, minotaur triplets, and a severely overdue centaur calf. Your bliss is interrupted as Naia is suddenly overcome with a massive contraction, making the whole palanquin seem to quake as her overfilled womb stretches and shifts.
"You really weren't kidding when you said you were about to go into labor. Please try to hold them in until we get home."
"Ooohh, I'm, *huff*, not quite at that point yet. We have some time until I start actively dilating. But send a message ahead to the temple, have them prepare the birthing pool." You spend the remainder of the ride snuggled together, Naia breathing through her strong, irregular contractions while you comfort her.

I need to relisten to episode three, there was so much in it and I can’t process it all but these moments were fantastic:
-Emizel saying Soda loves him already so him becoming a ghoul wouldn’t matter and down the line he wants to make Soda a vampire so they can be alike
-Emizel suggesting alternatives to soda and offering another soda incident to help Soda out
-Deacon taking Shilo to all the places he wants to see and then having the conversation about how being him makes him Shilo, not the fact that he’s the prince, but the fact that he’s the product of his experiences and wants not just his position
-Deacon giving Shilo a deputy badge and also tucking him into bed, giving off strong dad vibes there buddy
-Arthur going into a frenzy and having the choice be keep feeding on the family, look for an animal, or find a vampire to feed on instead?? Like what??
-Grefgore is just gone
-Magnus being human?? and helping Arthur with tasks (edit: YEAH HAVING A MALE PARTNER TOO! Slimecicle you’ve done it again, head in hands I cannot get this man’s name correct, but fixed it)
-Emizel still not knowing Arthur’s name and just calling him Brood
-Shilo being able to eat food up until there’s garlic in it
-Arthur having a little brother
-All of them having nightmares
And there’s so much more that I can’t even think about fully right now but god it was so good, Charlie Slimecicle you continue to knock it out of the park

Would you trust ANY Korean studio for hand-drawn animation today? I ask because, when The Powerpuff Girls came back in 2016, I noticed how slow and stiff the Korean animation was. Since then, most Burbank cartoons animated in Korea, namely Cartoon Network shows, have been like that — mostly on 2s & with less inbetweening. Look at any Digital eMation episode of Victor and Valentino or Samurai Jack Season 5; do they animate as loosely and smoothly as Digital eMation episodes of Billy & Mandy do?
Sure I would. It would all depend on the studio and the circumstances. There are good studios and bad studios, and either of those will treat your show differently based on their perception of how valuable it is to their client. In the early 2000s Rough Draft was a top-notch studio. One of the reasons I switched over to eMation from Rough Draft was that I felt like Rough Draft was putting all of its resources into making Samurai Jack look beautiful, and we were still calling retakes on three year old issues. I knew we weren't a priority to Rough Draft, and I knew that stemmed from Cartoon Network's negotiations with them, so my griping was only going to get us so far. It seemed to me that I needed a studio that was smaller and scrappier like we were. We were putting in a lot of work on our end to make cool stuff and it wasn't ending up on the screen, so we needed people who were just as hungry on the back-end, and eMation stepped up.
There's also the fact, though, that animation itself has changed a lot in the last fifteen years. Powerpuff Girls and Samurai Jack's animation always seemed to have an air of "motion comics" to it. And frankly, that's part of what I love about it. It was all a throwback to the old UPA cartoons, which were built on strong, clear poses and made for the cost equivalent of a turkey dinner. Likewise, CN storyboard artists usually had around four weeks to write and draw their boards on paper, so there just wasn't time to take the effort to do anything too complex. It was all about snapping between those 300-ish storyboard drawings and momentarily savoring them for their humor and design mastery. Now we have tons of digital tools that make the basics of animation a lot more accessible to everyone, and have changed the entire studio pipeline. Things just won't look like they used to because nobody makes them that way anymore.
When I've had to choose an overseas animation studio, the network's production arm usually gives me one or three choices and tells me that's all there is. Deals have already been made. (Sometimes they make you pick two to save on costs, which (IMO) usually results in two studios that are less functional than any one of them would have been.) The studios usually have reels, so that gives you a basic idea of what they can do. You can (hopefully) find some other show creators who have worked with the studios and get an honest review. It's an important enough decision that it's worth whatever research you can put into it. Even over good bones, an ill-fitting skin can ruin the mood.
The most important thing to remember, I think, is that it's your job and your crew's job to make animating the show as easy as possible. Really, it's everyone's job to make the next person in line's job as simple as they can. Ideally, there shouldn't be a lot of questions because the materials you sent down the chain are clear.
So... yeah. I'd still trust Korean studios as much as I'd trust any overseas or domestic animation studio. You get out of them what you put into them by feeding them money and your own labor. It's quite possible that the shows you mentioned didn't do enough of either.
I imagine the overseas studios are hurting right now, so who knows what that landscape is even going to look like in a few years.
As with every step of the process making a TV show, you just sort of have to weigh your options and find the path.
Hmm. That got long.

welp. accidentally deleted the question anon. so i'll answer it in a post.
is satosugu queer baiting? i think they're queer coded. if they were queer bait or, probably more accurate to japan, fujoshi bait there would be a lot more fanservice. i'm talking like in black butler or more obviously "kiss him, not me". or when animation studios do heavy leg work for a ship in shounen.
which, actually—
with all the anime only moments in jujutsu kaisen, this is one of the criticisms held against satosugu. ppl insist that the narrative is being twisted by MAPPA to feed shippers. but the difference lies, in my opinion, on how closely gege was involved in the production of gojo's past arc and the praise he has for it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
satosugu is also a ship that can stand on its own with the source material. especially after chapter 221, when i think gege decided to commit to them? it was around a month or two before the anime was released, and it also coincided with tokyo rainbow pride which i think is a fun tidbit. considering gege can be very particular about dates sometimes. he also decided to bring up how romantic dec 24 is— as well as gojo's decision to fight that date.
Tumblr media
i think for the longest time gege was unsure whether to double down on what he sort of set up between them in jjk0 (that was written as a standalone). which is why the hidden inventory arc/premature death arc is ambiguous, and he toes the line in shibuya.
with gojo's sealing, gege, on top of many other things, basically had three years to think about the direction he wanted to take gojo and geto's relationship.
and he arrived at this:
Tumblr media
which i think is more of a hint than bait. who knows what else is in the future?

Hi. I don't usually speak up about these issues mainly because I don't exactly have a following, and I'm pretty sure only mutuals will be able to see this post.
But—
Let's open our eyes to what's going on for a second. Let's take a break from consuming things that distract us from reality. From what's been happening across the sea. From the tides that are ebbing and flowing with the blood of the innocent. From the cries of children, mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters stripped of their home and of their lives.
From the people who are desperately reaching out to us for help.
I have been privileged enough not to wake to the sounds of bombs mere miles from where I'm sleeping. I have been privileged enough to wake up and not smell sulfur and ash in the air. I have been privileged enough not to live in cramped spaces that breed disease, lacking food or clean water.
The people of Palestine need you to amplify their voices. They need you to scream for them now more than ever.
Rafah is currently being bombed and invaded. The border between the Rafah to Egypt crossing is currently being lined with tanks.
I know that it all feels hopeless, but please do not give up. There will be another opportunity. There will be another opening. While the invasion of Rafah is currently taking place, a ceasefire resolution is still being negotiated as we speak. Do NOT give up hope.
I didn't want to make this post without supplementing it with something that is actionable, but as someone with little means to help monetarily, I understand if you cannot directly donate to the links provided below. However, please do not underestimate your voice. Being able to spread this to someone who is able to contribute funding is equally as important.
So what can you do?
The simplest thing you can do is share these resources. Share them to as many people as you can. Amplifying the voices of the disparaged means that more people who are able to give aid can be reached. Research any local movements, any protests happening in your city or town, and attend them if you can.
And when your voice is hoarse from speaking, from screaming. When your legs hurt from the march. When you aren't able to reach as far as you can, as you want to, as you need to, the next thing you can do is listen. Keep updated on what is happening. Keep your eyes open. The more people mobilize and direct their efforts to help, the more people come up with new ways to give aid. There is always a next step.
Avoid supporting companies who are supporting or are compliant to Israel's genocide. There is a useful app called Boycat that you can scan the barcodes of products with so it can tell you, using its ever-expanding database, if its brand is compliant to ethical standards. One of the current campaigns it's supporting is that of Palestine.
For folks who are able to donate funds, here is a list of charities and fundraisers you can donate to:
eSims For Gaza makes sure that people in Gaza are able to maintain communication with their families overseas, and allows journalists to secure more visibility on what is happening on the field.
The Gaza Sunbirds are a para-cycling team focusing their efforts and resources to helping their community by routing supplies to families in the Gaza strip.
Gxza Health provides telemedicine to the people in Gaza in need of medicine and healthcare. They are partnered with UNRWA to get medication delivered to patients.
Palestine Red Crescent Society is a part of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent and helps facilitate aid to the people in the Gaza strip.
Sulala Animal Rescue is an organization focused on rescuing, treating, and feeding strays in Gaza City, with hopes of possibly opening a permanent shelter with international support.
Medical Aid for Palestinians supports Palestinians by providing medical aid to those who need it.
Anera provides warm meals and facilitates medical aid for refugees in Palestine.
Baitumaal provides emergency aid and poverty relief to communities that are under-privileged, including a service to sponsor children who have been orphaned.
If you want to directly sponsor a Palestinian family, a grassroots movement called Operation Olive Branch is currently working hard to amplify the voices of Palestinians who are in need of funding to escape their current predicament. You can find over 800+ families in the spreadsheet that they maintain, with gofundme campaigns operated by the families themselves. OOB also heads the Perinatal Project, a project that specifically caters to people in need of urgent prenatal, postpartum, and infant care needs.
I will make new posts as time goes on and the more resources I am able to gather, but for now that is all. Please share as much as you can.
From the river to the sea.
Free Palestine

Obey me! Period Headcannons
Wrote this at 2am the other day, waiting for the motrin to kick in. Enjoy!
TW: Gender neutral mc who has periods. Descriptions of blood, pain, and the reproductive system. Light vomit warning in Asmo's part.
As always, minors DNI 🔞.
Lucifer
Of course Lucifer knows what a period is. He was there when father designed humans, after all.
Periods, however, were not his idea.
Sadly, Lucifer was out voted when it came to designing the human reproductive system. Michael said something along the lines of "sin" and "punishment" but Lucifer had stopped listening at that point.
When Lucifer is informed that the exchange student menstruates, he pulls out all the stops.
The House of Lamentation is fully stocked with every period product imaginable. Pads, tampons, diva cups...
Lucifer's goal is to make your stay in the Devildom as comfortable as possible.
Lucifer deeply cares for you, but he's not great with emotions. If you have mood swings or, Diavolo forbid, cry, he'll cave to any demand.
7/10, he'll get you whatever you want on your period. Just pout a bit and he's yours.
Mammon
A w h a t
You have to sit Mammon down with an encyclopedia, several diagrams - the works. Mammon might have been around when Lucifer and father created humans, but that doesn't mean he was paying attention.
He has so many questions. This happens every month? There are cramps? It can be different colors? Indulge him, mc, he wants to learn!
Mammon becomes very concerned if you're in pain while menstruating. He'll push motrin into your hands and give you his heating pad.
From that moment on, Mammon keeps spare pads and ibuprofen in his bag. He'll give them out to anyone who needs it.
Wings? Extra long? Super absorbent? Whatever you need, Mammon is your guy!
10/10, we all need a Mammon in our lives.
Levi
His knowledge of the reproductive system comes entirely from anime.
While some shows are excellent at normalizing periods, other have...more questionable content.
As a result, Leviathan has some strange and vaguely outdated notions about periods.
For example, he'll treat you like Nightbringer Satan on the first few days of your period. He's hesitant to approach you, and leaves offerings of chocolate. It would be cute if it wasn't so insulting.
Sit this introvert down and have a heart-to-heart conversation with him. Be honest with how his behavior makes you feel, and he'll change his ways.
If that doesn't work, have him watch episode two of Please Tell Me! Galko-Chan. He'll shape up quickly.
5/10, most likely to believe that it's "that time of the month" whenever you're upset.
Satan
Satan knows what periods are, but his knowledge is purely theoretical. He's never been around a menstruating human before.
He ends up treating you like a science experiment. Depending on how close you are, he'll ask slightly invasive questions. How heavy is your flow today? How are your cramps? Here, MC try this herb, he's done some research and -
Is he feeding off your anger?
Wait. You know that look. It's the one Beel has when he sees food. How Belphie looks before he compells someone to slip into a dark, dreamless slumber.
Feel free to hand him over to Lucifer at this point. He'll hang in the HoL for so long, you'll start to think he's part of the decor.
If you're in a romantic relationship with him? The difference is night and day. He's ready with chocolates, extra pads, motrin...the works!
Either a 0/10 or a 10/10. How he treats you depends on your relationship.
Asmo
Asmodeus has been fucking humans since time immemorial. He knows what a period is and how the human reproductive system works.
He also probably has a few mini-mes running around, but that's neither here nor there.
Look, hun, he loves you, but he's not great with...bodily fluids. He'll pull back your hair if you vomit, but he will complain the entire time.
He's also a sympathy gagger. If you start, it sets him off and nobody wins.
Despite his shortcomings, Asmo will care for you in his own way. This includes copious amounts of skincare (you might feel awful, but he won't let you look awful) and making sure you get eight hours of sleep.
Yes, he'll complain if you stain his sheets (Those were skill, MC! Silk!) but he'll give you a fresh set of pjs and make sure you're comfortable before he does a load of laundry.
5/10, tries his best because he loves you, but is squicked out by the human reproductive system.
Beel
Doesn't know what a period is. Immediate asks if it's edible. (Oh, honey...)
He grimaces when you explain. You have horrible pain and bleed from your nether regions for a week straight? (Briefly, he wonders which angel thought this was an excellent way for humans to reproduce. He knows Lucifer was instrumental in helping father design homosapiens, but this is one idea he can't imagine his brother suggesting.)
By some miracle, Beel finds a period tracking app and downloads it on his phone. He'll keep track of your symptoms and remind you when your cycle is about to start.
Does Beel keep pads/tampons in his backpack in case you need them? Yes. Does he occasionally mistake them for food? Also yes.
He also keeps pain killers in his backpack in case you forget them. If you ask nicely, he'll even share his snacks with you!
Overall, 10/10, a sweet boy who tries hard to make sure you're comfortable.
Belphegor
For all his faults, Belphegor is well read. He knows what a period is but hasn't thought about it much...until he met you.
Another one who's not great with emotions. He loves you, but his first instinct is to out-brat you if your hormones have you on the war path.
He can't stand seeing you in pain. If your cramps are so bad that motrin can't help, he'll use his powers to coax you to sleep.
6/10, most likely to knock you out with his powers and have you sleep through the whole thing.

I wanted to briefly come back online and discuss the WGA and, in turn, the current writer's strike.
I know my opinion matters very little, and I don’t consider myself an expert or a valuable voice in this matter. However, since I talk about Star Wars a lot, I wanted to discuss the strike because these things go hand in hand. I think it’s unfair to ignore the real-world circumstances that shape the media you enjoy. Knowing the context of something is important. And beyond that, this situation has just been on my mind, and I wanted to express my thoughts somewhere.
Firstly, all workers should be paid living wages. All workers deserve to be treated fairly and compensated fairly. All workers deserve safe, productive, and fair working environments—end of story.
I’ve been seeing a lot of jokes along the lines of “I didn’t even know media had writers these days,” and while I understand the joke and the potential humor in it, I feel like it’s important to realize that this is entirely why the WGA is striking in the first place.
The writer’s rooms are shrinking. Writers are being overworked. Writers are being underpaid. Writers are being dismissed and undercut. These factors lead to poorly written and poorly managed shows because the individuals who write the bones of the shows are exhausted and burdened by corporate interference, unreasonable deadlines (especially in animation), unfair wages, and stale corporate agendas.
Additionally, these writers often aren’t given the opportunity to oversee or manage their writing while it’s being filmed. Instead, companies are acting as if the writing process ends before the filming process so that they can shorten the writer's contracts and pay them less. However, in actuality, the writing process is often most valuable during the filming process.
Some things work on paper but don’t work on the day. Maybe the joke doesn’t land, or an actor can’t deliver the line as intended. Writers are needed on set to rework and revise these lines, so the process can run smoother without sacrificing story and believability. Now some actors are incredible at improvising and can make these things work. However, overall, without writers on set, you usually end up with awkward/stiff dialogue or scenes that make no sense. Writing doesn’t stop in the writers' room.
Another massive force driving this strike is the evolution of streaming services.
With “traditional” tv reruns, the network airing the media has to purchase the viewing rights of the episode or the show. This money is then extended to the people who worked on the show in the form of residuals. It makes sense. Something you worked on makes money, so in turn, you get money.
However, streaming services have broken this mold by allowing consumers to watch whatever media whenever they want. Streaming services claim that it is no longer possible to pay residuals for these shows since they don’t know how often or when the shows are being watched. This is a lie.
Companies will brag privately in shareholder's meetings and publicly in articles about streaming shows that have done well. We’ll read headlines like “Stranger Things’ Was Most-Streamed TV Show in 2022” or “‘Star Wars’ vs. Marvel: Which Disney+ Shows Are Most-Viewed.” These articles and the data within them prove it is possible to know how frequently shows/movies are being watched on streaming services. Still, companies are only willing to shell out this information for bragging rights and not for fair payments.
In 2021, Disney CEO Bob Chapk earned $32 million. In contrast, the WGA website states, “Median weekly writer-producer pay has declined 4% over the last decade. Adjusting for inflation, the decline is 23%.” These writers are merely asking for 3%, while CEOs are given the moon.
This is unacceptable.
If you’re reading this post, if you’re on Tumblr and engaging with fandoms enough to have this post written by me, a Star Wars blog, circulate on your feed, media writing has affected your life. Writers have impacted you and your daily routine and hobbies.
You should care about this strike. You should be supporting this strike.
We all want our favorite shows to come back, we all want to reunite with our favorite characters, and we all want to see their stories, their triumphs, and their struggles.
But the real people behind these stories and behind these characters are far more important than any fictional narrative.
These writers have crafted the worlds and stories we love, and by supporting them, we can return the favor and craft a better world for them too.

PSA: the vast majority of commercial dog food is terrible for your dog, and you cannot feed a dog a "vegan" (or vegetarian) diet.
Dogs are what is called facultative carnivores, meaning they can and will eat food that is not part of their typical, ideal diet if circumstances call for it. This is why they are often called omnivores (the line between facultative carnivores and omnivores is debated). Comparatively, obligate carnivores, like cats, cannot process non-carnivorous food at all.
This means that although the primary and default diet of domesticated dogs is other animals, dogs' digestive systems are capable of digesting other food sources like plants if a carnivorous option is not available: in other words, if they're hungry enough, they can "get by" on less ideal food sources.
Although dogs' systems can tolerate some plant material in their diet, they will not thrive on a long-term diet high in carbohydrates. This is because while dogs' pancreases do produce amylase (the enzyme that breaks down carbs), it's not nearly as much as true omnivores like humans, and can even vary quite a bit from dog-to-dog. They also don't produce cellulase at all. So a diet high in plant material for too long can be hard on their systems and lead to long-term serious health affects that will shorten their lifespan, such as early organ failure and heart disease - yes, even if they "seem great" on the day-to-day.
Ideally, a dog's diet should not be more than 15% plant material. However, the vast majority of commercial dog food is only 30% animal-derived ingredients, because 30% is the industry required minimum in order to be commercially sold. Even a lot of brands that boast about having "high animal protein" are often only hitting the 60% benchmark. Why? Because plant foods like legumes, sweet potatoes, and grains are a much, much cheaper way to "bulk up" the dog food than using 85-95% animal products. And then they artificially add in a ton of vitamins and nutrients to make them "nutritionally complete" (because plant nutrients are less bioavailable to carnivores), whereas a dog would easily get them from a diet with correctly proportioned inclusions of organs and bones.
Don't even get me started on ""vegan"" dog foods. A diet that is 100% plant based is straight up animal cruelty for a facultative carnivore like dogs and you cannot change my mind. You're literally taking years off your pet's lifespan in the name of your ideology. If you want a pet you can feed a completely plant-based diet without consequence, get a rabbit.
Unfortunately, there is no such thing as an easy or cheap pet, and dogs aren't an exception. I understand that feeding a dog a proper diet is an expensive venture. The best dog food you can buy at the pet store will still be below the ideal, and it will cost $$$. Just do the best you can for your circumstances. Even occasionally swapping commercial food for a little raw animal supplementation can help. Avoid kibble with legumes or potatoes.
And if you're thinking of getting a dog... I mean this gently, but you need to seriously consider whether you can actually afford to feed them. Don't get pets unless you can afford all the care they require.

What is The Complete Animal Feed Pellet Production Line Working Process?
Feed Pellets Processing Technology Raw Material → Feed Grinding → Feed Mixing → Feed Pelletizing → Pellet Cooling → Pellet Crushing → Screening & Grading → Pellet Packing
Tumblr media
1. Storage of the raw materials
There are many different raw materials and materials in the feed, so various types of silos must be used. There are three types of silo that can be used in the feed pellet line, such as hopper silo, flat bottom silo, and galvanized silo.
2. Cleaning of raw materials
Impurities in feed raw materials not only affect the quality of feed products but also directly affect the use of feed processing equipment and the personal safety of staff. In severe cases, the entire equipment will be damaged and the smooth progress of feed production will be affected. Therefore, impurities in the feed raw materials should be removed in time.
3. Crushing of raw materials
The technological process of feed crushing is determined according to the required particle size, feed variety, and other conditions. According to the number of raw material crushing, it can be divided into primary crushing process and circulating crushing process or secondary crushing process. The combination with the batching process can be divided into the first batching and then crushing process and the first crushing and then batching process.
4. Batching process The rational design of the batching process is to correctly select the specifications and quantities of the batching metering device so that it is fully coordinated with the combination of batching feeding equipment, mixing units, and other equipment.
5. Mixing process The mixing process refers to the technological method and process of weighing the ingredients in the feed formula and then entering the mixer for uniform mixing. The mixing section requires a short mixing cycle, high mixing quality, fast discharge, low residual rate, good air tightness, and no dust spillage.
6. Pelleting process The pelleted feed obtained by compacting and extruding a single raw material or compound mixture by mechanical action is called feed pelleting. The purpose of pelleting is to use the heat, moisture, and pressure in the pelleting process to pelletize the feed that is finely divided, easily dusty, poorly palatable, and difficult to transport.
7. Cooling process During the pelleting process, when the pellet feed comes out of the feed pellet machine, the water content reaches 16%-18%, and the temperature is as high as 75°C-85°C. It will also cause adhesion and mildew during storage. The moisture must be reduced to below 14%, the temperature must be below 8°C higher than the air temperature, and cooling is required.
8. Crumbling process In the production process of the feed pellet mill, in order to save electricity, increase production and improve quality, the material is often made into a certain size of pellets, and then crushed into qualified products according to the size of the feed pellets.
9. Screening process After the pellet feed is processed by the crushing process, some unqualified materials such as powder will be produced. Therefore, the crushed pellet feed needs to be sieved into a product with neat particles and uniform size.
10. Packaging process After weighing, put the finished product into the packing scale and pack it. During this process, the package should be calibrated until the package weight standard is met.

I think a critical flaw in the vegan’s user’s argument was that they clearly buckled down on how capitalist exploitation and overproduction factors into milk and meat markets… and then seemed to assume that vegan diets avoid capitalist pitfalls completely.
But you’ve already posted on your blog before about how crop production under capitalism has created huge environmental issues in terms of biodiversity, depletion of topsoil, and sustainability. Meaning even a non-animal diet can (especially on the scale necessary for every human being currently in existence) still create large-scale issues if that diet demands having specific foods in abundance to avoid eating meat.
Like, I’m sympathetic to what vegans want to do, it just feels like they’re ignoring a MASSIVE number of pressing logistical and environmental issues to push that agenda. There’s several intersecting problems here, and claiming humanity as a whole is poised to chuck eating animals completely seems to be jumping the gun.
This is basically exactly what I hope to convey to people. I feel like extremely pressing issues such as topsoil loss, pesticide and herbicide use, and pollution caused by nitrogen fertilizers, not to mention the severe biodiversity impacts of monoculture, are being disregarded in favor of a very simplistic "Meat is killing the Earth" argument.
And I think the "veganism to save the earth" idea is just...distracting, as a movement. I'm glad people are motivated to do it. I don't think it's bad. But we need people to take action beyond just Buy Product. Anyone telling you that the most important action you can take is Buy Different Product does not have your best interest, or the planet's best interest, in mind.
If you're eating a plant based diet, but your only relationship with your food is Buy Product, you are still alienated from the source of your food. You still don't know, and can't respect or care for, the ecosystem or the labor that gives it to you.
My agenda is far more along the lines of "society needs to be organized so more people are directly involved in growing food that feeds their community" than anything to do with animals, but it's clear to everyone who has studied it for 2 seconds that farming needs to change hugely and it's so, so much more complicated than "farming animals is bad, farming plants is good."
Also the fact is that veganism cuts you off from sources of nutrients that have been part of virtually every human society ever, a LOT of people have disabilities, allergies or nutrient absorption issues that mean going vegan isn't possible for them, and people who try to argue with me about this simply Stop knowing how to read when this is brought up. "Some people need animal protein to live" is a reality of the world but people who don't like this straight up refuse to consider it.
I have no food allergies or sensitivities, and I still struggle to eat enough food to live. I lost thirty fucking pounds in college because of stress, the dining hall being shit, and my roommate trying to control my eating habits (long story). Thats like...well over 1/5 of my body weight. Sometimes people Cannot restrict their diet safely.
Like, sure, I 85% agree with the vegans who like to comment on my posts, but the remaining 15% of things they say is completely insane.
And some of them are so out of touch with reality that they will swear up and down that it's impossible for humans to drink milk without someone having to murder a baby animal. They seem to think farming is exclusively some kind of horror show that happens in a warehouse somewhere, and don't understand the concept that "some people live in rural areas" or "it's not uncommon in some places to just keep a few dairy goats that provide milk for your family."
And if they admit this exists, it's like "well, that's not where your dairy comes from, because the INDUSTRY—" thats. that's my point, you can get milk from a farmer who keeps a small herd that is well treated, we should start doing this actually, you can even keep your OWN goat
my ideal world involves "backyard chickens and goats are legal in suburban areas where there's space" because there's literally nothing innately unethical about keeping a couple dairy goats or healthy heritage breed chickens and you can quote me on that and you can even fight me.
That one person (the one who kept bringing up eating poop) (Lord what a sentence to have to write) eventually turned to "Well those sources are wrong because governmental organizations want you to keep eating animal products" which is already well into "conspiracy theory" territory. No thanks.

For the ask game, how about an au where Izuku is the product of a quirk?
What I mean is maybe a slug was born with a quirk to manifest something to protect it, and a human was what it summoned (or something along those lines)
Hi so that is an incredible mix of funny and existential but ok
1- we're keeping the slug thing. The spotted green slug doesn't have a name, due to being a slug, but when a child tries to poke it with a stick, the slug's quirk activates and now there is a second child who instinctively protects it
2- the green, spotted child scoops the slug up and keeps it on their shoulder, feeding it leaves. The child, having just been spawned into being, is able to talk enough to get threats away but like. They didn't have any clothes, they're trying to eat leaves and dirt too. It's ok though, they can't starve or die- the slug's quirk is what maintains them or heals their injuries. Eventually, someone calls CPS.
3- the police try to take the slug away from the wild child, but they scream and bite and eventually say "my quirk" so they give up and let them keep it as they go to the hospital to get him checked over. The kid also doesn't legally exist, so they have to figure that out too. When the nurse looking over the kid puts together the pieces (aka, listens to what the kid says), she looks up sentient quirks and animals with quirks on her phone. If she tells the truth, the best this kid can hope for is someone like Nedzu taking them in to protect them, but more likely the slug would be sent to a lab where the kid would be unable to protect it and who knows what would happen then. So Nurse Midoriya lies on the paper and when she brings the kid out, and the child is sent to a children's home with the quirk registration of "slug: manifest and bond with a slug"
4- luckily, neither AfO or Ujiko is interested in a quirk like that. Some months later, Inko returns and adopts him. The slug is pleased with this arrangement as it's quirk is no longer having to protect him from all the other children and caretakers, and Inko ensues there are good food sources around the apartment for it. She even gets a safer travel terrarium for the child, Izuku, to use to carry it around during school. Izuku is able to learn and grow since the they and the slug sees others found it, and Izuku decides they want to be a hero- they have to still prioritize protecting the slug, but why not be a hero and protect others too?
5- when Inko's child comes home from school one day with a cracked terrarium, a uniform that smells like the sewers, and a scorched notebook, declaring that they got All Might's signature and also found out that they don't need to breathe today, and that they are a hundred percent sure that they want to go to UA, Inko realizes that she's going to need to send that letter to Nedzu after all, and hope desperately that he reads it before the entrance exam. (To her surprise, she gets a phone call before the end of the month.)

What do you think about opinions that Chloe’s development was ruined in season 3 finale because Thomas didn’t like that viewers like her more than Marinette? I Don’t think that it’s true, but it gave me idea that Thomas ruined Chloe’s already few character development because viewers liked her more than Gabriel.
I've heard this theory before and it seems like a massive stretch to me. It's always possible, but I don't feel comfortable making accusations like this without some hard evidence and I've yet to see any, though it's not like I follow this guy on Twitter or anything. My knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes is all based on random things that make their way to my Tumblr feed. So if someone has hard evidence, feel free to reblog and add it, but the most likely explanation is just bad writing. Why ascribe malice when incompetence makes just as much sense and requires a lot less motivation?
Think about what this accusation is actually saying. It's claiming that an adult man willfully ruined a major element of his passion project (or even just the show that he's known for, meaning that it will define his future career) because he was salty that people liked a character that he created. That seems like a conspiracy theory take to me.
It's also not like Thomas has full creative control of the show! Head writers have power, but they rarely have total power. They're still employees and a ton of things happen between an episode being written and the final version being aired. Producers, directors, censors, and many others usually okay a script prior to an episode being animated because that's the most expensive element. Plus it's not like he's the only one who wrote Chloe's story. Every season two and season three episode is credited to multiple writers. In other words, it seems like multiple people signed off on Chloe's story.
There's also the issue of the air dates. Queen Wasp and Miracle Queen first aired about twelve months apart (October 6 2018 vs October 15 2019). Production times for animated TV shows are about that long, which would mean that Miracle Queen was probably being written or was even already set in stone around the time that Queen Wasp aired. In other worlds, every element of Chloe's journey was probably at least sketched out before the audience ever saw it start. That would mean that nothing in that story was reactionary. It just doesn't fit the timeline.
While Chloe's season three ending was a total mess, it was hardly out of nowhere. It was glaringly obvious that Chloe couldn't stay Queen Bee from the moment that we met Queen Bee. You can't willfully out yourself to the world and expect to stay a hero (or, at least, that shouldn't be a thing Felix). I was honestly baffled when they gave her back the bee in Malediktator and relieved when Marinette finally acknowledged the problem in Miraculer:
Ladybug: I'm sorry, Chloé. I should've told you this a long time ago. I might never be able to let you be Queen Bee again.
Which was, of course, the setup for Miracle Queen, further complicating this theory because it looks like less than a year passed between the world premieres of Queen Wasp and Miraculer (October 6 2018 vs May 15 2019).
I don't know if this made it to your Tumblr feed, but the Miraculous writing team announced that the writing for season six was done back in late March. The show won't air until sometime this winter, well over half a year later, because that's just how animation works and they've supposedly done things to make the animation process faster this season. I just don't see how this Chloe theory works or why it needs to be a thing when her bad writing falls perfectly in line with things like the absolute disaster that was season five. She wasn't a fluke, she was a warning of things to come.
As best I can tell, the entire Queen Bee plot was just an incredibly awkward and forced way to show how dangerous identity reveals were. Which isn't a bad plot to have, but don't do that plot and then let a bunch of other temp heroes keep their miraculous post reveal! Writers, what are you even doing?
If you want my best guess answer to that, then I don't think that the writers planned to make their story feel massively hypocritical. I think that they just did a dumb writing mistake that I've seen multiple shows do: they wrote a really cool cliffhanger ending without planning how to make that ending work in the following season. And there was no way to really make the ending work, so they end up just kind of ignoring it.
The reason why this happens is pretty simple. Most shows try to end their seasons on cliffhangers so that fans will come back for the next season. It's extremely rare to have a solid happy ending that ties everything together. This can lead to writers making questionable calls because they're pressed for time and have to come up with something that will keep the fans wanting more even if that thing makes no sense. It can also lead to writers making questionable calls because they DO have a plan for how the cliffhanger will play out, but when it comes time to actually put that plan into action, it gets shut down and now they have to scramble to make the nonsense work.
Anyway, what I'm really trying to say is that, as much as I like the concept of a redeemed Chloe joining the team, it was pretty clearly never going to happen in canon. The writing only backed that read for a brief moment at the start of season two where we got a handful of episodes that made Chloe feel less like a cookie-cutter mean girl and more like a true character, but then the Chloe plot really got going and I was just waiting for the inevitable fiery end. I actually thought that Chloe was going to be treated as a tragic character and become a true villain in season four. Instead we got utter nonsense that tossed her character all over the place to the point where I have no idea what they're even trying to do with her.

Where I think the counselors would work off-season:
Laura: I feel like her family would own a farm in North Carolina and that she would work with the different animals on the farm. She upkeeps their enclosures, feeds them, etc and provides horseback riding lessons for kids. She gained her love for animals from helping on the family farm starting at a young age.
Max: I don’t know why but I could see Max working at a movie theater concession counter. It’s not his favorite job in the world and he complains a lot to Laura about it but he enjoys seeing different movies come out and sneaking himself snacks when no one’s looking. I could also see him being good at math and tutoring middle schoolers on the side.
Jacob: I could see Jacob working at a sports and gym center as a sports instructor; most likely for either football or soccer. Jacob really loves his job because he loves sports and working with kids! He’s really enthusiastic with the kids he teaches and is always cheering them on to do their best! He’s really funny too and makes the kids laugh and he’s good at cheering up kids if they make a mistake. The kids love him overall. Sometimes Nick and Kaitlyn stop by to work out in the gym with him.
Emma: Realistically I don’t think she would work, since she’s an influencer and she gives me “rich parents who give her a credit card with large spending limit” vibes, but for the sake of this post I will say she would probably work a few days a week at Sephora. She really enjoys all of the different makeup and skincare products and would probably use her employee discount to go shopping frequently. She loves buying new products to review on her YouTube channel. She seems unapproachable and judgy to customers, but she’s actually very sweet and loves helping customers pick out products! Would probably quit the minute she encounters a karen though 😭💀
Abi: Pre game I feel like Abi would have worked at a lush in the same mall where Emma works. She mostly enjoyed it because she loves the different scents of the soaps and bath bombs. However, rude customers would make her very anxious, especially post-game. Post-game, I feel like she would start working at a café but not just any cafe….a cat café!! Abi LOVES cats and she enjoys making all of the different types of drinks. I feel like Abi would especially love boba and would come up with different boba recipes while working there. She also doesn’t encounter any karens because who would be a karen at a cat café of all places?? She loves playing with the kitties in her free time and Emma and Nick frequently stop by to see her, get drinks and pet the cats.
Nick: Nick always was in the restaurant industry. Pre game, he worked at a small restaurant in downtown Sydney as a waiter. Diners loved him but he was very shy and kind of awkward as a waiter, which is what made him consider working in the kitchen instead. Post-game he moved to America permanently and took a line cook position at, you guessed it, an Outback Steakhouse LMAO. He mostly enjoys the job, however he complains about how inaccurate the menu is for an Australian themed restaurant 😭💀. He mostly enjoys the job but sometimes he gets stressed out and becomes the Australian Gordon Ramsey. He works near the cat café where Abi works and likes to stop by to visit her and get coffee during his lunch breaks. He stays extra longer if he’s having a stressful day and pets the cats.
Dylan: Dylan works at a music/record store both pre and post game. He loves the job because it’s not very stressful and he gets to discover different kinds of music just by stocking the shelves and looking through all of the records and CDs that come in! I feel like Dylan would have a wide range of music knowledge and taste and would especially love classic rock and older pop music. The owners love him and he is frequently named employee of the month! He is very chatty with customers and will have their ear for long periods of time nerding out about different bands and artists!
Ryan: Ryan’s first ever job was at a hot topic in the same mall where Abi and Emma worked. He mainly picked up the job to save up for animation school and to help support Sarah and his grandparents. Due to lack of hours, he moved to a Spencer’s shortly before the events of the game. It didn’t take long for him to quit though because he got annoyed with the amount of jokes he would hear about “the back” (if ykyk 💀). Post game, Ryan got even more interested in the paranormal. For this reason, he took up a job at an antique store located right next to the record shop Dylan works at and he really loves it. The owners pay him well and when he’s alone, he likes to investigate the history on all of the antiques and see if he can encounter any spirits. Since they work right next to each other, Dylan and Ryan like to visit each other frequently like the lovebirds they are 💕
Kaitlyn: Kaitlyn first worked at a dick’s sporting goods, since she enjoys sports and fitness. She somewhat enjoyed the job up until one day when she got into an argument with a karen, which resulted in her getting fired. Jacob, like the great friend he is, put in good word for her at the center he works at and helped Kaitlyn get a job as a receptionist for the gym area. She enjoys the job much better and she eventually gets promoted to a fitness instructor position, where she hosts her very own fitness classes! She also gets to bully Jacob as much as she pleases 🤭
If you enjoyed this post, please send me headcanon asks! I really would love to share all of my thoughts on the characters! 💕
