Im sorry i cant get over that stupid Midsommar "female rage" tiktok comment. Like these are the same White women who were praising Ari Aster for this movie for allegedly being "feminist" & portraying the "inherent trauma of being a woman" or whatever the hell & using it as a prime example of "female rage", but then when someone points out that Aster himself has said this isn't a happy ending because of the main character was manipulated into and by a White supremacist cult then she switched it up and said "well Ari Aster is a man so his opinion doesn't matter".
Like are u praising Aster & his film for "accurately" portraying "female rage" or are you dismissing his messaging & intentions within his own movie because he's a man & therefore doesn't & can't understand "female rage"? Are you admitting "female rage" is for White women? Why is the messaging of White supremacy in Midsommar irrelevant if it's so prevalent throughout the film? Where is the "female rage" for White supremacy & the nonwhite female character who was murdered by the cult?

sometimes i think about how wild a mw2 movie would be if they just dropped soapghost right in the middle with no warning or marketing. like imagine it being beat for beat the exact same, it’s your typical military action movie, promoted as just another military action movie then after they get to the safe house, ghost has to patch up soap and he’s still out of it, overwhelmed by the betrayal and everything he’s seen and ghost needs to ground him and keep him in the present, to remind him that he’s alive and safe so he kisses him and they have sex. the tantrums and the rants and the “ReAl sOLdiErS aRen’t liKe ThAt”, god i can taste it and it’s delicious

June was the only woman older than Katara and Suki to show up and help the Gaang in the finale and I think that’s ridiculous. We could have seen Yagoda and the Herbalist in the White Lotus (and Miyuki!! She has a cute miniature lotus collar). Perhaps even Haru’s mom showing up somewhere?? IDK the lack of older ladies as respected guides and teachers is irksome and until further notice I’m headcanoning out of spite that they were there we just didn’t see their scenes but they were there dammit

Honestly really hope 4.1 gives ANY kind of interesting aspect to Neuvillette and Wriothesley's dynamic bc rn "token yaoi bait of 2 tall men who live in the same country, work together professionally but are not close personally" is just not hitting for me...
Like give me SOMETHING to work with so I don't have to be annoyed with the Wriolette art when I'm just trying to look for Neuvillette fanart

like this is why i like ichihime so much, because orihime's main arc is all about adapting to her strengths and standing on her own two feet to protect someone while ichigo's is all about letting his guard down and letting someone protect him. it was so important for ichigo to acknowledge that (even though he didn't mean to) he did hurt her, and because he never meant to, he learns from his mistakes fairly quickly and regardless of how short that battle was, it was the sentiment that counted, the fact that he wanted her to not only be a part of his civilian life, but also his shinigami life, and that he wasn't shielding her from anything anymore because that's her job and he trusts her to do it

Tbh the extent of the abuse and isolation that Bradford enacted towards Scrooge is not talked about enough. Like the guy fully attempted to kill Della (and got her stranded on the moon for a decade), successfully killed Duckworth (which, correct me if I’m wrong, was shortly after Dellas disappearance? Meaning that he was intentionally offing everyone close to Scrooge in order to isolate and him and traumatize him so he wouldn’t stray from Bradfords grasp,,) , destroyed Scrooge’s family and life, manipulated Scrooge into basically feeling like without him he was nothing for a good while - as well as taking advantage of his grief (that Bradford himself caused) to make him give up on a crucial part of himself and think of it as trouble, and I know I already mentioned this but seriously he FULLY MURDERED DUCKWORTH????! OR AT LEAST CAUSED HIS DEATH IN SOME WAY?????? WHATTHE FUCK???

every now and then I remember that time my transfem friend and I were talking about her trauma and her transition and suddenly she said "but yeah you didn't go through any of that because trans men don't get harassed or bullied and have it overall easier" and I just felt so deeply upset at how she just assumed all the pain I went through couldn't exist because I somehow had it easier. I didn't even say anything because I didn't want her to think I was angry at her, because if I do then suddenly I'm an Angry Man that's exaggerating

the thing is i think that like. afab and amab as terms arent like. a bad thing?? like if you're talking about urself and ur assigned gender happens to be relevant and is preferrable to another descriptor (eg if ur dysphoric abt ur body to some it may be easier to say ur agab rather than describing ur features) or describing a situation where thats relevant then like. sure! its just like any other word u just use it cus it makes sense- (note this only applies if YOU'RE using the term when you're talking about YOURSELF)
the problem is that when other people use or ask for someone's agab there's some kind of weird implication that it somehow changes how you behave, and that based on that you can put people into a new binary which shouldnt exist and negatively effects all trans people
people ask if you're amab expecting that to mean you're inherently more patriarchal, dangerous, "masculine" - and if you're afab expecting that to mean you're inherently more quiet, sweet, "feminine" - and BOTH of these fucking suck!!
