I have another question (yeah, I know, what a surprise)
what do gods/deities do in their daily life? Or when they're not with us?
Maybe this question is really human-like, because they probably don't work in an office handling paperwork. And it's probably a bit stupid, but I always wondered and idk if there's an actual response in books or somewhere else.
Of course, I know it depends. In some myths, some deities are told to be wandering around the countryside and dealing with plants (Demeter, Persephone, and a lot more) or having parties (Dionysius, Norse deities sometimes, etc). But like, on a daily basis?
I guess Apollo wakes up and guides the sun, but what else does he do? Not saying it is an easy job, but asking if he does something else. Does he visit hospitals from time to time? Or goes to concerts often?
Does Hermes sometimes visit the subway? Is he just going around fetching dead people to guide them to the underworld? Does he go gambling from time to time and give someone too much luck?
Does Hypnos go to a poppy field and he just lays down to take a nap? Does he go around people's nightmares and turn them into soothing dreams? Is he watching when kids have the first dream they remember?
Does Aphrodite go to the beach from time to time to get tan? Does she like to go to perfume shops? Is she making people give compliments to others who feel very bad about their self image that day?
Does Artemis just guide the moon or does she also visit zoos? Is she around for the birth of someone's first baby? Is she there taking care of the animals sacrificed to be our food?
Does Lucifer wander around the stars and fly to see the first light of the morning? And the last light of the evening? Is he reading books that no one has heard of in old libraries? Is he guiding the hand of the artist who draws his first nude portrait?
Does Beelzebub like to smoke and hang out in cemeteries? Is he there when someone saves a bug instead of killing it? Is he checking that all dead beings in the forest decay correctly?
Does Stolas enjoy accompanying biology students to their first field trip to identify rocks? Is he the one who makes people cry of joy when they look at the stars? Does he spend his time reading articles about the use of plants in modern medicine?
Idk, it's nice to think about what they might be doing when they're not with us as their "9 to 5" lol. But is there an actual answer to this or am I just daydreaming too much? 😔

I've felt like I should check in with Apollo the past few days and finally managed to clear enough space on my floor to feel alright with breaking out the tarot deck again so I did! Lit his candle, said as as formal a prayer as I could muster beforehand, asked Hermes to help with communication, the whole shebang. For further context: I've been wanting to ask Aphrodite something specific (also via tarot, it's the most grounding tool I've got) but I only have the one deck at the moment and, while I've used it to ask Hermes about things in tandem with Apollo, and Aphrodite introduced herself via it (with a card that also introduced Apollo), I wasn't sure if it would be cool for me to use it to ask her specifically something not in direct tandem with Apollo. I mentioned that in the prayer but also said that that might be a question for a different session, since trying to get an answer to that (on top of the general "hey how are we doing/do you have anything you want me to learn") might muddy my ability to understand the message.
Cue twelve cards falling out of my deck/poking out while I was shuffling. I usually pull ~3 cards on top of whatever falls out, but I ended up not feeling like it was needed. Seven of them fell out face-up, too.
Despite having some concerns about whether all of the cards were "supposed" to be pulled, it was pretty coherent! And covered quite a few things I've been thinking about recently, including sorting out anxiety vs a warning/displeasure, a follow-up of a card that was the focus of my last pull, and a reminder to look at outside/intellectual sources to combat the whatever-the-fuck-my-brain's-on. There were four cards that fell out face-up together in a pile: a card I associate with Apollo at the front and one associated with Artemis (the Moon) at the back, with cards related to unity & growth in the middle. I'd had a pretty bad experience attempting an offering to Artemis last month and have stepped back and avoided asking her for anything or specifically invoking her in prayers/offerings/etc. since (except for once when it involved a pregnant friend b/c it seemed odd and tbh a little disrespectful to ask Apollo for help and not her as well) because I took it as a sign that she didn't want me to work with her. I'm also aware, though, that that bad experience could have just been a meltdown/panic attack. Regardless of whether it was either of those two things, a "hey slow down" warning, or a combination, it was nice to have some clear reassurance & an official introduction. It's also significant, I think, that part of the Moon card's message is about not letting anxiety/"self-deception" (direct from the guide) cloud your intuition. I've been wanting to burn the candle I dedicated to her for a few days now- it's possible that was a sign from her as well.
As far as the deck-use question...the first card that fell out was the Empress (face-up, reversed). My initial thought was that it was a "no", but I decided to look at the meaning in case it wasn't that which was. probably a bad idea. It freaked me out a bit because I couldn't figure out what it was referring to. I ended up using my alphabet oracle tiles for a makeshift yes/no system after finishing with all the other cards and got clear confirmation that my instinct was, in fact, correct.
All in all it was really cool?? By far the most cards I've had in one pill iirc, and a good lesson in identifying how my intuition works.
#i teared up a few times both during the reading#and when i connected that one of the lessons for tonight *was* about identifying intuition/pointing out my progress#ive gotta go tarot deck shopping now#ive been wanting to get decks for each member of the theoi i work with anyway. makes the most sense#my only deck atm is one a friend gave me. like. 3 years ago b/c he wasnt vibing with it and it's been pretty consistent#even if i got a bit mixed up and pulled a card i shouldnt have (ie i thought it was poking out in a 'falling out' way#instead of just a 'got jostled while shuffling' way)#the cards i *know* are supposed to be part of the reading b/c they either fully fell out or i drew them after shuffling#are typically pretty understandable#so tarot's one of the best ways i know to “talk” to deity in a way that's grounded & “outside” myself enough that I can trust it#more than other ways#esp when combining it w/ the guide. going off of the image for interpretation just doesnt do it for me. maybe it will in the future but also#my brain just. doesnt do that w/ art unless im in crit mode#but yeah. i ofc gave apollo hermes & artemis offerings afterwards as a thank you#(and aphrodite b/c i remembered that i forgot to give her an offering after i got back from lunch w/ my partner yesterday)#good day all around re: connecting with the gods#despite being off my meds (im ordering my prescription refill tomorrow)#coriander says#helpol#hellenic pagan#hellenic polytheism#apollo#artemis#hermes#aphrodite#tarot#hellenic gods#hellenic community#pagans of tumblr#theoi

this really stuck with me, so i tried pulling three cards to ask Lord Thanatos what the best devotional acts i can do are (i was too tired to dedicate my energy to using my pendulum this time around).
the gist of the message was “to think about your values and belief system to make sure they are aligned with what you want in life. address any areas of your life that are in misalignment and discord. focus on planning and moving forward in life. set intentions and work towards them. some acts that can expand your understanding include meditating, studying, or creating rituals. continue to discover, strive, and push forward. stand your ground, maintain your resilience, and stay true to your beliefs.”
so, some devotional acts that aren’t really material would involve allowing ourselves to go through the difficulty of asserting balance in our life. taking some time to study, meditate, and honor the cycle of life and death. standing strong in our beliefs, no one can prove what we believe in to be wrong (if it’s not doing any harm). we can take time to help people deal with overcoming grief and loss (even if it doesn’t mean a literal, physical death).
i think these devotional acts really resonate with the work Lord Thanatos is helping me through. He’s emphasized the importance of shedding the old version of myself that’s done more harm than good. even though it’s really difficult for me to do that, to overcome these horrible habits that have made me the degraded version of myself that i am today, it is something i do wish to aim towards in His honor. from my understanding, devotional acts don’t need to be quick, happening in the span of a few seconds, minutes, or hours. you can devote acts to your deities that might take you months or years to achieve. even if the pace is slow, even if it feels like you aren’t doing anything at all; you are, and your deities love and appreciate you for it ♡
hey so now im actually curious and sort of need some help :') what devotional acts do you do for Lord Thanatos? or any other ways in which you may honour him
#i would like to let you know that Lord Thanatos especially helped me out with that last message#i felt him right by my side guiding me through expressing my thoughts#hellenic polytheism#hellenic polythiest#hellenic polytheistic#hellenic community#hellenic worship#hellenic devotion#helpol#christopagan#christopaganism#thanatos deity#thanatos devotee#thanatos worship#apollo deity#apollo devotee#apollo worship#hermes deity#hermes devotee#hermes worship#hypnos deity#hypnos devotee#hypnos worship

Queerness in the Hellenic Pantheon
One of the many beautiful things about the Hellenic pantheon is how queer it is. In a world where Abrahamic religions have shamed, ostracized or denigrated queer people, Hellenism has a celebration and normalization of queerness integrated into it.
💜 Aphrodite’s biggest fan in Ancient Greece was arguably Sappho, a poet who dedicated an entire iconic piece to the goddess of love, “Ode to Aphrodite”. In the poem, Sappho prays to Aphrodite for help in regards to gaining the attention and affection of the woman she loves. Unlike the male writers of the time who often slandered her, Sappho depicted the goddess as the truly lovely, benevolent being she is.
Sappho was a lesbian. This is where we get the term “sapphic” from. Not only that but she was from the island of Lesbos. So, yes, this is where lesbian originated. (The name of the island is the same as the derogatory term used to refer to wlw back in the day)
💜 Almost none of the male Olympian deities are straight. Apollo, Dionysus, Zeus and Hermes are notorious for their bisexuality/pansexuality, with many male lovers, both human and divine. Even Ares and Poseidon dabbled a bit in same-sex love, though to a much lesser degree.
💜 Artemis, Athena, and Hestia, the three “virgin goddesses”, are seen as asexual and aromantic. In ancient contexts, “virgin” can simply mean “unmarried woman” or “independent of a man”. But, they actually had no interest in romantic or sexual matters. Artemis and Athena are occasionally labeled lesbian, with female lovers cited, but this is often debated. In any case, they had no interest in male companionship.
💜 Aphrodite had a male version of her named Aphroditus that was worshipped in ancient times. The deity had a combination of male and female attributes, described as voluptuous while also having a phallus and, by some accounts, a beard.
Aphroditus is often seen as an earlier version of Hermaphroditus, the intersex deity that was the offspring of both Aphrodite and Hermes.
💜 Dionysus is famously androgynous. He was often described as being “raised as a girl”, due to the nymphs dressing him in female clothing to disguise him from Hera. He was also called “man-womanish” and effeminate.
The best way to describe him would be gender-fluid. He is generally male and can have clear masculine traits. But, he strongly adopts feminine characteristics, to the point where it is a major part of his mythology, and often seems to exist in some gray area in between male and female.
💜 Both Apollo and Dionysus have famous tragic myths about the loss of their male lovers, who both die in freak accidents. Apollo’s human partner Hyancinthus was turned into the hyacinth flower upon his death while Dionysus’ lover, the satyr Ampelus, was transformed into a vine and led to the god’s creation of wine.
💜 The Erotes are a group of male divinities in Aphrodite’s retinue and often said to be her sons. They are the protectors of same-sex love. The central figure of the group is Eros and all the other gods are said to be his brothers and/or different manifestations of him.
The Erotes rule various aspects of love and sex. Eros is love and desire as a whole while Anteros, his twin, embodies requited and reciprocal love. Himeros is the god of satiated desire yet unrequited love while Pothos is a god who embodies emotional and sexual yearning.
One can see how these minor gods can guide queer people struggling with love. When Timagoras confessed his love for Meles, the man mockingly told him to prove it by jumping off a cliff. Out of despair, Timagoras did just that, killing himself. Tortured by guilt, Meles did the same. An altar was built to Anteros in Athens in honor of this, linking the god to a myth of how rejecting love out of fear or pride only hurts you; a tale familiar to repressed queer people. Anteros is said to punish those who push real love away (in truth, he more so guides than punishes).
💜 In modern times, devotees of Dionysus regard him as a patron god of queer people. Many of those who follow him are gay, bisexual, gender-fluid or trans. He provides a sense of safety, comfort, protection and freedom to his queer devotees or even just any queer person who prays to him or asks for help.
Aphrodite is also said to be a protector of queer people. As the goddess of love, she is the embodiment of “love is love”. She has also been said to be a wonderful support to trans women, as she champions feminine expression in all forms and all people.
Happy Pride to all of us in the LGBTQ+ community. The gods love you!

in this pick-a-card reading, we’re uncovering who’s watching over and protecting you on a spiritual level. is it deities, spirit guides, ancestors, the universe itself, or another higher power?
remember, this is a general reading. take what resonates and let the rest flow away.
trust your intuition, choose the picture or pile that calls to you, and let the magic unfold!
✧˖°.₊ ♡ ✩˚ ༘

﹒ ﹢ ♡. PILE ONE ﹑ ﹒ you have an unstoppable force by your side, a warrior at heart. this being is a protector, a guide who pushes you to move forward, to grow, and to overcome. i’m sensing they could be a teacher, maybe even someone who helps you navigate life’s obstacles, keeping you aligned with your path. if you’re into deities then they embody the energy of a fighter, a leader, a guardian, someone who stands in the trenches of war and protection. archangel michael’s energy feels strong, but i also sense the might of ares or athena, deities of battle and strength. they’re sending you messages, whispering through synchronicities, guiding your way. they want to help you unlock your psychic abilities, amplify your talents in communication or divination. they shield you from lies and illusions, guarding your mind from deception. your intuition is powerfully tuned in with their guidance. i’m also getting the sense of a beloved figure. a mother or grandmother for some of you. they had a nurturing heart, fun-loving but wise beyond measure, someone who lifted your spirits. i’m also picking up on the energy of ra and apollo. radiant, uplifting, warm, and strong. their protection is a shield of light, guiding you toward truth and away from negativity. they defend you fiercely, blocking spiritual attacks, and preventing energy drains. if people have tried to harm you, you might’ve noticed that they somehow face their own setbacks instead. when things seem hopeless but then suddenly align in your favor, it’s their divine intervention clearing the path for you.

﹒ ﹢ ♡. PILE TWO ﹑ ﹒ this energy feels so deeply connected, almost like a quiet, steady presence. it’s someone who knows your heartbreak, who understands the weight of your tears. if you find yourself crying often, trust me. they hear every sob. they stand beside you through the moments you feel abandoned, betrayed, or crushed by life. they’re the ones who teach healing through pain, showing you that even the darkest wounds can lead to growth. they protect you from toxic relationships, pushing people out of your life who aren’t meant for you. even when it feels like a loss. they help you process grief, release that emotional weight, and move forward. they’ll warn you about betrayals or disappointments before they even happen, preparing you in ways you can’t always understand at first. there’s something about rain. maybe it speaks to you in some way? their honesty is pure, and they watch over you constantly, even if they don’t always leave you obvious signs. they’re there, keeping a close eye on you, making sure you’re aware of any potential threats, even when you might not feel them coming. they communicate with you through signs, dreams, and those gut feelings you can’t ignore. when you sleep, they protect you, too—guiding you through dreams, or through meditation, making sure you’re safe when you’re vulnerable. they shield you when you’re at your weakest, keeping you safe from energy vampires and people who drain you. this could be an ancestor who fiercely protected their family, always watching over the ones they loved. they block energy-draining people or situations from knocking you off balance. i’m also getting the presence of raphael, or just your own guardian angels, who love you deeply. and if you’re into deities, hades might also be stepping forward, holding that protective, yet transformative energy over you.

﹒ ﹢ ♡. PILE THREE ﹑ ﹒ this being, your protector, brings a playful, almost light-hearted energy to your life. they feel like a spirit guide, someone here to help you with your emotions, to offer comfort when you need it most. there’s a childlike essence to their energy.perhaps they help you reconnect with your inner child, remind you of the simple joy and wonder you once felt. for some of you, this could be a loved one who’s passed, someone who’s faced deep personal loss, carrying with them regrets and disappointments. they offer comfort in times of sadness, and though they may carry sorrow, they’re here to help you heal. they see the bigger picture, providing perspective when you’re emotionally overwhelmed, guiding you through the fog. they might send you signs. songs that play at just the right moment, names that spark memories, or objects that seem to appear out of nowhere. they’ve been with you through it all, guiding you through life’s struggles. whether you’ve faced financial hardship, loneliness, or isolation, they’ve been by your side, keeping you company when you needed it most. they may also communicate with you in your dreams, offering clarity or guidance while you sleep. i’m sensing a connection to the moon. maybe hecate or selene. goddesses of mystery, intuition, and hidden knowledge. their protection comes in subtle forms: dreams, visions, or flashes of deep insight. vivid dreams, especially those involving water, the moon, or paths you’ve yet to walk, could be their way of reaching you. and there’s something about the number 5. perhaps it holds significance for you.

﹒ ﹢ ♡. PILE FOUR ﹑ ﹒ there’s a deep, almost sacred connection to your family and roots here, a loved one who’s protecting you. maybe even a pet or an ancestor from past generations. you were born to break the cycles, to heal the wounds that have been passed down through the years. it’s like a tutelary spirit, a guardian who offers you strength when life gets tough, wrapping you in a gentle, compassionate energy that brings peace and healing. their presence is both soothing and powerful, guiding you through the hardest times with the comfort only someone deeply connected to you could offer. whether you feel them consciously or not, they’re always there, either in your mind or your soul. they’re helping you move from chaos to calm, from turmoil to tranquility. this could be someone who’s walked a similar path, a family member who truly understands the struggles you face and wants nothing more than to see you heal. if you’ve lost someone dear to you, it’s possible they’re one of your main protectors now, watching over you from the other side. you’ll know who they are. they’ve been a huge part of your life, and they still are, even now. if you don’t recognize them in a physical sense, it could be an ancestral presence, one that’s been with you for generations. this could be the spirit who triggered your spiritual awakening.

The history of Litha reveals its deep connections to ancient agricultural societies & their reliance on the sun’s power. Celebrated as part of the Wheel of the Year, Litha symbolizes the balance between light & darkness. Throughout history customs such as bonfires, herb gathering & the construction of sunwheels have marked this festival. Today, Litha continues to be celebrated by various communities, with gatherings at sacred sites & private rituals in natural settings. It serves as a reminder of our connection with nature and the cycles of life.
• The traditions of Litha appear to be borrowed from many cultures. Most ancient cultures celebrated the summer solstice in some way such as the Celts celebrated Litha with hilltop bonfires & dancing. Many people attempted to jump over or through the bonfires for good luck. Other European traditions included setting large wheels on fire & rolling them down a hill into a body of water.
Litha is often associated with Midsummer, a celebration that extends beyond the pagan & Wiccan traditions. Midsummer festivities are observed in many cultures around the world, including Scandinavian countries where it holds a prominent place in their cultural heritage. Midsummer dances, bonfires, & feasts are integral parts of these celebrations, often accompanied by folklore & traditional rituals that honor the sun’s energy & the abundance of nature during this time.
• In the Northern Hemisphere the Summer Solstice occurs when the Sun reaches its highest and northernmost points in the sky. It marks the start of summer in the northern half of the globe. (In contrast, the June solstice in the Southern Hemisphere is when the Sun is at its lowest point in the sky, marking the start of winter.)
Related festivals:
• Vestalia: June 7th -15th-
Was a Roman religious festival in honor of Vesta, the goddess of the hearth & the burning continuation of the sacred fire of Rome. It was held from 7–15 June & was reserved as a women’s-only event. Domestic & family life in general were represented by the festival of the goddess of the house & of the spirits of the storechamber — Vesta & the Penates .
On the first day of festivities the penus Vestae (sanctum sanctorum of the temple of Vesta which was usually curtained off) was opened for the only time during the year, at which women offered sacrifices. As long as the curtain remained open, mothers could come, barefoot and disheveled, to leave offerings to the goddess in exchange for a blessing to them & their family.
For the last day, the penus Vestae was solemnly closed, the Flaminica Dialis observed mourning & the temple was subjected to a purification called stercoratio: the filth was swept from the temple & carried next by the route called clivus Capitolinus & then into the Tiber.

Dark! Percy Jackson Reverse Harem x Reader|| Chapter Two

<<< Chapter One
Your eyes widen when you see Chiron being half horse half man.
"You are a centaur"
Chiron chuckles at your shocked expression.
"Indeed, I'm, and I'm here to guide you"
"Thank you, sir"
"Are you not going to greet me, (Wrong name)?"
You turn your eyes to stare at the dark haired dark eyes man with confusion.
"My name is (Y/n)" you correct him before asking "And you are?"
"Dionysus"
"As in the god who has a cult?"
"That's me, I miss my cult"
You nod in agreement, unsure if that was meant to be humor or a genuine confession.
"Yes, I used to rule an entire cult in ancient Greece. They all worshipped me and offered me sacrifices."
You feel a twinge of unease at the thought of being in a cult, especially one led by a god like Dionysus.
Still, you don't want to be rude, so you just smile politely and say.
"That's... great."
Dionysus nods, seemingly satisfied with your response.
"Well then," he says,
"Shall we continue on? I can show you around the camp and introduce you to some of the other demigods."
Chiron frowns, looking at Dionysus, finding his behaviour strange.
Dionysus is never friendly towards any demigod.
But now, he is offering to show you around.
Chiron never understood the gods obsession with you.
He assumed it has something to do with your powers.
"There is no need, but thank you for the offer, Luke showed me around the camp"
You say before turning towards the centaur.
"I will be going now if that's all"
The moment you take your leave, Dionysus sighs in disappointment.
"If only she was my daughter"
°°°
The cabin is all pastel pink and surrounded by flowers and cherubs statues, and it is also close to Aphrodite's cabin, which is not surprising.
But what made you uncomfortable is the glass window in your room.
You will need curtains for that later.
What is surprising is that you found tons of gifts on your bed and your wardrobe is filled with clothes.
And a note that says 'From your beloved grandmother. Aphrodite'
Also there are gifts from different deities.
For example, Hermes gave you a golden caduceus pendant with a blue diamond.
Apollo gave you healing potions.
Ares gifted you a dagger and also has a note with it 'Sharp enough to kill your enemies'
But what astonished you the most is the gift from Etos, it's a music box.
A cherubs music box, when you turn it on, it starts playing very enchanting music.
There is a long letter too.
My sweet demigoddess,
I write to you on this fine day to express my deepest love and adulation for you.
Your strength, courage, and power all demonstrate your divine ancestry, and your beauty and grace shine with the warmth of the sun.
My heart aches for you from far away, and all I desire is to embrace you in my arms and to watch you flourish with all that you are and can be.
This music box is a gift from me, once it starts playing, all monsters will flock away from you.
From your father,
Eros.
The strong fragrance on the letter makes you calm down.
To be honest, you don't hate Eros even though he never was by your side when you grew up.
Maybe the new life for you here, isn't bad after all.
°°°
"Capture the flag? As in fighting other demigods? no thank you"
You say, walking by Percy's side.
The boy showed up at your doorsteps first thing in the morning, and asked you to walk with him.
"Don't worry, I will protect you, if you stay by my side"
You stop and look at Percy and cross your arms over your chest.
"Why did you tell Luke that I'm your girlfriend?" you inquire.
Percy smiles.
"Because you have always been my girlfriend, remember in grade one where you wanted to marry me and made a promis-"
You quickly stop him, your cheeks heating up from the childhood memories.
"I was a child"
"I don't care, a promise is a promise"
"What if I fall for another?"
Percy shrugs, with the smile still on his face.
"It would be like Icarus flying too close to the sun"
You raise an eyebrow but he continues.
"Another might get close to you but they will never reach you before they fall to their deaths"

Sweet Juice
Clark Kent x Male Reader
Content: Greek Mythology AU
Warnings: Smut, Bottom!Reader, Top!Clark, semi-public sex, anal sex, unprotected sex, drunken sex, skinny dipping, spit as lube, missionary position…
Summary: You’re a member of Dionysus following and during a feast you meet a demigod son of Zeus, Clark, also known as the man of steel…
——
You were a lesser deity in a world filled with powerful gods, monsters and heroes. You were the son of the now famous naiad, Daphne. Unfortunately though your mother was no longer with you as she had been turned in to a laurel tree as a form of mercy.
It was considered mercy because the only other option she had was to be violated by Apollo, who was under the spell of Eros after an argument between the two. Apollo feeling bad about the whole ordeal apologised by finding you a place in the retinue of Dionysus and Ariadne.
You didn’t mind this as your duties were pretty much drink, dance, fuck, drink more and generally just to have a good time. It was just constant partying and celebration.
One night when the party had yet to start a visitor came for Dionysus. You were sat close to the god’s throne, you were petting one of his pet leopards when a strange man appeared and entered the god’s camp. He walked slowly towards the olympian. You noted his handsome appearance as he stopped in front of Dionysus.
”Lord Dionysus, you sent for me” the man said in a deep tone. ”I did” Dionysus confirmed before standing up saying loudly ”Everyone! Let me introduce to you to Clark, you may know him as the man of steel!… And also one of my younger half brothers”.
Dionysus followers broke out in cheers for the hero, who seemed slightly confused by the big welcoming. ”I’ve called him here to save us all from the cyclops that has been attacking in the night” Dionysus declared and everyone once again cheered.
”What?! You never told me of any cyclops?!” Clark asked agitated. ”Actually I didn’t tell you anything but you showed up anyway” Dionysus teased him. ”Why don’t you save them yourself?” Clark questioned. However Dionysus only responded with a simple ”Where’s the fun in that?”.
Clark looked irretated at Dionysus and said ”I will not be tricked in to fighting someone else’s battle”. Making the on looking crowd let out disappointed murmurs. Dionysus walked up to the hero and put a hand on his shoulder.
”Come on Clark, do us this favour and we’ll give you the biggest celebration you’ll experince in a life time, with the finest wine and feast, our best music and dancers and if you want you can take to bed anyone you fancy, we don’t judge” Dionysus offered.
Clark took a moment looking around at the crowd surrounding him until his eyes landed on you for a swift moment. He then turned back to Dionysus and said ”Very well, i shall do you this favour”. Once again the crowd including you broke out in cheers and applause for the demigod.
The very next day gifted Clark with a sword, armour and food by Dionysus as he and his followers saw off the hero on his way to save them from the threat of the cyclops.
I didn’t take long for Clark to return as he was back at the camp by next day. He came back in the afternoon covered from head to toe in dirt, dust and a little cyclops blood. Throwing the red painted sword by Dionysus feet.
”Well done” Dionysus complimented looking at the blood drenched sword. Dionysus then turned towards you ”Y/n, take our hero somewhere he can wash off” he commanded. ”Yes, lord Dionysus” you said with a quick bow. He then turned back to Clark and said ”When you return, we feast”.
You went and collected a basket with a bottle of scented oil, a strigil (a tool they used in ancient greece to wash themselves) and a new chiton. ”This way, my lord” you said to Clark and started guiding him through the forest. ”Please, just Clark is fine” he said humbly following you.
You guided him to a secluded pond. ”Impressive, how did you find this place so quickly?” Clark complimented. ”My mother was a naiad, it’s an instinct” you explained putting down the basket next to the pond.
”Would you like me to bring you anything else?” you asked Clark as he started undressing out of the dented armour and dirty chiton. ”You’ve already done enough for me, thank you” he said gentlemanly. Clark was now naked, revealing his muscled body and impressive manhood, which you tried not to look at.
He stepped down in the pond, the water reaching up to his hips. ”Why don’t you join me?” he suggested gesturing towards the water. ”I’d love too, but i have to help the others prepare everything for tonight” you said. ”Come on, only for a short time” Clark tempted. ”Okay” you said with a smile, taking off your chiton and sandals.
Clark watched your naked form with interest as you stepped down in to the water. ”See, it’s nice” Clark said starting to wash himself off using the scented oil you brought for him. You tried not to stare at his oiled up chest but you were 90% sure he caught you looking but he didn’t say anything, he only smirked.
You relaxed in the cool water for a while until you remembered you needed to get back to the others. You climbed out of the pond and started putting on your clothing once again. ”Thanks for the company, hope i’ll see you tonight” Clark said. ”Hope, i’ll see you too” you said and started walking through the forest back towards camp.
That night the music rang loudly through the forest as you celebrated the death of cyclops and your new hero, Clark. You drank and danced wildly with your friends. Some others were already passed out from drinking, some were gambling and playing games and one couple were fucking against a tree.
You saw Clark sitting on a pillow next to Dionysus talking, goblet in hand. You made your way over to the olympian and the demigod. ”Y/n” Dionysus exclaimed happily as he noted your presence. He patted a pillow next to him saying ”Come sit down”.
You took the offer sitting down next to the god, he made your empty goblet instantly refill and put an arm around you. ”I was just telling Clark of my inner circle” Dionysus revealed and continued ”Y/n, here you’ve met, he is my and Ariandne’s favourite attendant and friend” he said sweetly.
”Also he has a body as if sculpted by Pygmalion, carved and smoothed to absolute perfection. You should hope to have a look upon it someday” Dionysus said taking another sip from his goblet.
”Actually i already have” Clark stated boldly making Dionysus spill some wine on himself. ”Y/n, joined me for a swim in the pond” Clark explained making your cheeks heat up slightly. ”Is that so?” Dionysus questioned looking towards you.
”Well, i’ve got to go find Ariadne” Dionysus said getting up leaving you and Clark. ”Are you and Dionysus-?” Clark started but you cut him off saying ”No, he and Ariadne just have a very open relationship”. ”How has your night been?” you then questioned the hero.
”Enjoyable but i’ve never been much of a party person” he said then taking a sip from his cup. ”I get it, before i came here i wasn’t either” you told him and then got an idea. ”Wanna go for a walk for some peace and quiet?” you asked. ”Sure, i’d love too” Clark said and the two of you stood up and walked off in to the forest behind you bringing your goblets with you.
You walked and talked for a while, drinking until your goblets were didn’t have a single drop left in them. Dionysus must’ve brought out the strong stuff because you and Clark were stumbling around and slurring your speech, you were laughing loudly at each others stories, sitting very close together.
Finally the two of you ended up behind some bushes close by to the party. You started to passionately make out, you laying on your back in the soft grass and Clark on top of you. Clark tore open your chiton and undressed you, leaving your naked form beneath him.
He then took off his own clothes revealing his muscular body and his hard cock. Clark took his hand and brought it to your mouth, you sucked on his fingers to get them wet, then he brought his moist fingers to your enterance and started pushing finger inside you.
You let out a small gasp as Clark started to finger you open, he added another fiinger and then another until you were ready to take him. Clark spit in to his hand and rubbed it over his erect manhood.
”It’s time i claim my reward” Clark said spreading your legs, he lined himself up with you and started pushing his hard cock in to your warmth. Clark loved the seeing the face you made as his cock slowly filled you up.
”Fuck your so big” you hissed as the demigod was fully sheated deep inside you. He then slowy started moving pushing himself in and out of you as a wave of pleasure started washing over you.
Your legs were wrapped around Clark as he thrusted in to you. ”I’m gonna fuck your little nymph hole full with my seed” Clark groaned in to your ear and placed kisses all along your neck. The demigod started speeding up his thrusts.
”Clark, fuck yeah! Take me” you said in ecstasy grabbing at his back as he fucked your hole. Both of your bodies had started gleaming from sweat as he mounted you under the moonlight, as his reward for defeating the cyclops.
Clark’s thrusts became rougher as he wanted to take you like a real demigod would, he loved how your walls clenched around his thick cock. He brutally fucked you with all the strength of his godly heritage to bring you to your release.
You let out breathy moans as Clark pounded your gaping hole, thrusting against your prostate. You felt yourself getting close to your orgasm. You dug your nails in to the grass below as Clark’s cock made you see Mount Olympus.
”Clark, i’m gonna cum” you said panting heavily making Clark thrust deeper as he wanted to push you over the edge. Then your cock started spraying cum all over your and Clark’s stomachs. Clark’s own release was getting close.
”I’m gonna plant my seed deep inside you” Clark moaned and his rough thrusts became uneven and sloppy. Clark delivered one last deep stroke in to you and he erupted inside you, he flooding your insides with his cum.
Both of you panted heavily and Clark rolled over and layed next to you in the grass. ”You were amazing” Clark praised while softly stroking your cheek. The two of you then used your torn clothes as blankets as you cuddled close together and you both fell asleep under the starry sky.

Olympians with their little sibling
In the ethereal realms of Mount Olympus, where deities resided amidst celestial clouds, lived the twelve Olympians and their cherished human sibling, (Y/N). A child of mortal parentage, (Y/N) possessed an uncommon connection to the gods, born under the shimmering light of a lunar eclipse.
Growing up amidst the grandeur of Olympus, (Y/N) shared an extraordinary bond with each Olympian. Zeus, the thunderous king, would engage in playful wrestling matches, his laughter echoing through the marble halls. Poseidon, lord of the seas, would take (Y/N) on thrilling adventures in his shimmering chariot, the waves roaring beneath their feet.
Athena, goddess of wisdom, guided (Y/N) through labyrinthine libraries, imparting ancient lore and strategic insights. Hermes, the swift messenger, would race with (Y/N) across the celestial heavens, their footsteps leaving a trail of iridescent stardust.
Ares, the god of war, marveled at (Y/N's unwavering spirit, sparing them from harm on the battlefield with his fiery sword. Aphrodite, goddess of beauty, blessed (Y/N) with an irresistible charm that captivated all who beheld them.
Artemis, the huntress, shared her love of the wild with (Y/N), teaching them to track game and wield a bow with precision. Apollo, god of music and prophecy, serenaded (Y/N) with divine melodies, inspiring their creativity.
Hestia, goddess of the hearth, welcomed (Y/N) into her humble abode, offering warm meals and a sanctuary of peace amidst the grandiosity of Olympus. Hades, lord of the underworld, showed unexpected kindness to (Y/N), guiding them safely through his shadowy realm.
As the sun rose and set, casting golden hues across the celestial landscape, (Y/N) reveled in the love and companionship of the Olympians. They became a bridge between the mortal and divine worlds, sharing wisdom and perspective between the two realms.
In the twilight hours, when the stars twinkled like celestial jewels, (Y/N) would often gather with their divine siblings. They would trade stories, laughter, and secrets, their bond unbreakable beneath the ancient night sky.
And so, (Y/N), the cherished sibling of the Olympians, lived a life of extraordinary love and enchantment on the towering heights of Mount Olympus, forever etched into the tapestry of divine history.

Hail to Apollo Phoibos, he of the shining brow and well-carved cheeks; ever-young and ablaze with energy --
Hail to Apollo Akestôr, Apollo Paean, healer and hero, tamer of plagues and slayer of Python --
Hail to Apollo Lukeios, wolf-slayer, on this fine Lupercalia --
And, once more, hail to Apollo Proupsius, who guides oracles' hands and prophecies to be fair and true --
By your power, be it your pleasure, I dedicate this virtual altar and its contents to you.
I invite you to know me, coming and going as you please about my life and home (and I know this is but a formality, as your divine power and will mean that, as a human, I have no control over where you do and don't go). With your explicit consent, I wish to know you, in kind, so that the two of us can decide if we are well-matched as deity and new devotee.
Though I’m currently in bed with chronic pain, I offer you these words of mine, in lieu of the poetry I was going to write tonight. Glory to you, Apollo, radiant wit and avid creator, multi-talented God of so much more than the sun. Thank you for finding me in these trying times, and for gently-but-firmly pushing back against my doubts, meeting my self-deprecating skepticism with amused ripostes and disarming warmth.

Let's Channel Spirits!

Spirit channeling is the practice of communicating with non-physical entities, such as ancestors, deities, guides, or spirits of the dead. It has existed across cultures and traditions for thousands of years, with shamans, oracles, and mystics acting as intermediaries between the human and spirit realms. In ancient Greece, the Oracle of Delphi channeled messages from Apollo, while in indigenous traditions, shamans entered trance states to receive guidance from spirits. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, spiritualism popularized spirit communication through séances and automatic writing, a practice that continues today in various forms of witchcraft, mediumship, and divination.
The rewards of spirit channeling can be profound. Many practitioners use it to receive wisdom, gain insight into personal or collective issues, and deepen their spiritual path. Ancestor work, for example, allows witches to access generational knowledge and healing, while channeling deities or spirit guides can offer profound revelations. It is also a tool for magical work, as spirits can aid in spellcasting, protection, or uncovering hidden truths. For those seeking closure, channeling deceased loved ones can bring comfort and resolution.
However, there are risks involved. Not all spirits are benevolent, and some may deceive, manipulate, or drain a channeler’s energy. Without proper protections, practitioners may attract unwanted entities or even experience psychic burnout. Psychological risks also exist, as differentiating between genuine messages and personal imagination can be challenging. Ethical concerns arise when people rely too heavily on spirit communication for decision-making, neglecting their own intuition and logic. This is why grounding, shielding, and discernment are essential.
In modern practice, spirit channeling takes many forms, from traditional trance mediumship to intuitive divination using tarot, pendulums, or scrying. Some witches use meditation and altered states of consciousness to connect with spirits, while others engage in automatic writing or guided visualization. With the rise of technology, spirit communication has even extended to digital methods, such as EVP (electronic voice phenomena), ghost communication devices and apps, and AI-assisted divination. Despite skepticism, the practice remains a vital part of many spiritual traditions, evolving alongside new understandings of consciousness and the unseen world. Whether approached with reverence or caution, spirit channeling continues to offer a bridge between realms, guiding those who seek its wisdom.

Forms of Spirit Channeling
Spirit channeling can take many forms, depending on the tradition, method, and depth of connection. Below is a list of different types of spirit channeling, ranging from light communication to deep trance states.
Mental Channeling:
• The spirit communicates through thoughts, impressions, or intuitive messages.
• The channeler remains fully conscious and translates the information received.
• Often used in mediumship, divination, and psychic readings.
Trance Channeling:
• The channeler enters an altered state where the spirit speaks or acts through them.
• Can be light (partial awareness) or deep (full surrender of control).
• Used by shamans, spiritualist mediums, and oracles.
Automatic Writing (Psychography):
• The spirit guides the channeler’s hand to write messages.
• The channeler may or may not be conscious of what is being written.
• Used for receiving detailed messages or insights from spirits.
Séances & Spirit Board Communication:
• Group or solo practice involving talking boards (Ouija), pendulums, or other tools.
• Spirits respond through movement, knocking, or written messages.
• Requires strong protection, as it can attract various types of entities.
Mediumship:
• A person serves as a bridge between spirits and the living, often delivering messages.
• Can be done through clairaudience (hearing), clairvoyance (seeing), or clairsentience (feeling).
• Common in spiritualism and ancestor work.
Possession (Invocational Channeling):
• The spirit temporarily takes control of the channeler’s body.
• Practiced in Vodou, Santería, and certain shamanic traditions.
• Requires training and safeguards to ensure safe release of the spirit.

Dream Channeling (Astral Communication):
• Spirits communicate through dreams, often delivering symbolic or direct messages.
• Lucid dreaming can be used to initiate intentional spirit contact.
• Useful for ancestor work and deity communication.
Scrying (Visionary Channeling):
• Using mirrors, water, fire, or crystals to receive visions or spirit messages.
• The channeler interprets images, symbols, or direct communication from spirits.
• Often used in witchcraft and divination.
Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) & Technomancy:
• Spirits communicate through electronic devices, such as audio recordings or digital messages.
• Used in paranormal investigation and modern occult practices.
Nature Spirit & Elemental Channeling:
• Communicating with spirits of plants, animals, and natural elements.
• Often practiced by animists, hedge witches, and shamans.
• Involves direct communion with Earth’s energies for guidance or magic.
Each method of channeling requires different levels of skill, protection, and intent. Choosing the right form depends on the practitioner’s experience, goals, and spiritual path.
Preparing for Spirit Channeling
Before attempting to channel, it’s crucial to set a foundation for safe and effective communication.

• Regularly practice grounding and centering: (visualize roots connecting you to the Earth). Develop a strong personal shielding technique (such as surrounding yourself in white or golden light). Meditate to build focus and strengthen your psychic abilities.
• Creating a Sacred Space: Cleanse the area using smoke, salt, sound, or other purification methods. Set up an altar or designated space with candles, crystals, and symbols of protection. Light incense or herbs such as mugwort, frankincense, or myrrh to enhance spirit communication.
• Choosing the Right Spirit to Channel: Ancestors and spirit guides are excellent for beginners since they have a natural connection to you. Deities and divine beings may require offerings and devotion before they engage. Elemental and nature spirits can be unpredictable but insightful. Unknown or wandering spirits should be approached cautiously, as their intentions may be unclear.
The Channeling Process
• Setting Intentions and Boundaries: Clearly state who you wish to contact and why (e.g., "I call upon my ancestors for wisdom and guidance"). Set firm boundaries by only inviting spirits of truth, light, and benevolence. Use protective symbols (such as pentagrams, sigils, or runes) to maintain control.
• Entering a Trance State: Close your eyes and focus on your breath. Use rhythmic drumming, chanting, or binaural beats to alter your consciousness. Visualize a doorway or veil between realms opening. Allow impressions, feelings, or thoughts to flow without forcing them.
• Receiving Messages: Pay attention to words, images, sensations, or emotions that come through. If using automatic writing, keep your hand loose and let it move freely. If you hear a voice, mentally confirm that the spirit has good intentions before engaging further. Avoid leading questions—ask open-ended ones instead (e.g., "What do I need to know?").
• Closing the Connection: Thank the spirit for their presence and guidance. Firmly state, "I now close this connection. You are released in peace." Visualize the doorway closing and cleanse yourself and the space using smoke, sound, or saltwater. Eat grounding foods (like bread, nuts, or chocolate) to restore balance.

You’re the voice I hear inside my head
Damien Haas x GN!Voice Actor!Reader
Warning(s): none
Notes: I know nothing about the process of voice acting so this is gonna be so incorrect, but we’re rolling with it.
Summary: You’re a voice actor on a new project and Damien can’t get your voice out of his head. If only he had a face to go along with it.
“The voice actor for Phoenix already recorded their lines so you’ll have their recording to play off of,” the director said, walking Damien through the studio.
“Okay, sweet,” Damien replied, almost bouncing with excitement to get in the booth.
He got cast to voice Icarus in a new video game in development called Fire and Brimstone. It was a Hades-like game about Icarus with many liberties taken and characters added.
One being the character of Phoenix, a fire deity and disciple of Apollo that Icarus meets on his journey and is the character's love interest.
Damien put on the headphones and set his script up.
“We’re starting on page 45,” the director said through the mic.
Damien gave a thumbs up and turned to the right page.
One of Phoenix’s lines was first so he awaited the recording to come through.
“Mortals don’t often enter this domain. What are you doing here?”
Damien’s eyes widened, and he near genuinely said, “Who’re you?”
The voice was warm, but had that hint of ice, creating the perfect voice for a deity. It gave him chills.
The recording went on, “I am Phoenix, the guardian of this temple. Who are you?”
“Icarus of Athens.”
“Son of Daedalus?”
“You know my father? I’m looking for him. Have you seen him?”
“Yes. He passed through this temple not long before you. He asked for the gift of my fire.”
“Did he say what for?”
“No. Only that he would treat it with care. I guided him through the temple after. Where he went from here I cannot say.”
“Would you grant me the same kindness? Of leading me through the temple. I must find him.”
“I can see into your heart, Icarus, and I can tell it is true. I will lead you through the temple. But you must leave a tribute to Apollo, as your father did.”
The recording stopped, signaling the end of the scene and Damien looked up.
“That was great,” the director said. “We’re going to run through it once more, just for multiple options and then we’ll move on.”
They did so and Damien felt himself being captured by Phoenix’s voice.
Every day he went in to record his lines, he became more and more curious about them.
Which came to a head the day that they would meet.
"We're having Phoenix's voice actor, Y/N L/N, come in and record this last bit opposite you," the director said as Damien pulled the headphones off. "We want to try the dynamic to let you two play off of each other."
The last scene would be Icarus meeting Phoenix again after the deity sacrificed themselves to Apollo in exchange for Icarus' safe passage from Crete.
Icarus would travel to the underworld and ask Hades and Persephone to return Phoenix to Earth, in which they would give him the same task as Orpheus.
The player then has the option to complete the task and not look at Phoenix as they make the long trek out of Hades, without knowing whether the gods had kept their word, or to turn around and look at Phoenix, which would send them back.
This last recording would be at the end of the game, if the player succeeds in not turning around, that has Phoenix and Icarus seeing each other again after a portion of the game apart.
Damien was practically bouncing with excitement.
"You're in a good mood today," Shayne observed, smiling at his friend as they left the set of a Games video.
Damien nodded. "I'm meeting Phoenix tomorrow."
He wasn't shy about telling his friends at Smosh about the project and telling Shayne and Court about his small crush on the character (or their voice more specifically).
"Really?" Shayne said, eyebrows raising. "That's awesome."
“Who’s Y/N?” Angela asked, catching up with them.
“A voice actor I’m working with,” Damien replied.
“And who he’s got a big ol’ crush on,” Shayne teased.
He blushed as Angela said, “Aww.”
“I’m just excited to finally meet them. I kinda haven’t been able to get their voice out of my head.”
“Your the voice I hear inside my head,” Angela and Shayne sang in silly voices. “I gotta find you, I need to find you.”
Damien rolled his eyes good naturedly and smiled.
“I need to know what this mystery person sounds like now,” Angela said. “What was their name again?”
Damien had unashamedly googled Y/N after the director had told him their name.
They had voiced characters in some other video games, anime, even a few cartoons, which was cool. But this seemed to be their first larger role, which was also cool.
He definitely overthought everything the day they were to meet, nervous for some reason (it was the crush).
He dressed a little nicer than he usually wood, very business casual, put on his best smelling cologne, his hottest earrings, grabbed a cup of coffee on his way to the studio.
Were they already there? He wondered as he opened the door. Or did he get there first?
"Hey, everyone," Damien greeted, walking into the recording room. "Am I late?"
"Right on time," the sound operator replied. "Y/N's over getting coffee in the kitchen if you want to say hello."
Damien takes that as a cue and heads towards the kitchen...and almost chokes on air.
Y/N was the prettiest person he'd ever seen, the crush intensifying tenfold.
Damien blinked a few times and cleared his throat, making Y/N look up from stirring their coffee and smile.
"Hi, Damien, right?"
Their voice sounded the same but also different, but perfect. It made Damien’s heart flutter.
"Yeah," he replied. "Y/N, right?"
"That's me," they said, walking over to shake his hand.
It felt right when their hands slotted together, but Damien shook it off.
"Ready for this?" he asked, hoping his face hadn’t gone too red.
"Yeah! I've been excited to do this and to meet you," they said.
"Really?" Damien asked, a little too surprised. "I mean, uh, cool. Me too.”
They don't seem to notice and the two of them head back to the recording room.
“Okay, we’ll have Damien turn around and face Y/N when we give you the cue, that’s when you say your lines. Good?”
The two of them gave the director a thumbs up, which made them laugh as they did it at the same time.
Damien slid on his headphones and turned his back to Y/N.
He was nervous, wiping his hands on his pants and trying to shift into character.
Okay. You’re Icarus, who has just made the trek up from the underworld saving the deity you love and haven’t been able to confirm that they were following you, and you’re worried that when you turn around they’ll be gone. Got it. Okay.
“And action,” the director says, hitting record.
Damien waits a beat or two, heart pounding, before he takes a deep breath and turns around.
Y/N is standing before their microphone, headphones on and smiling at him. “Hello,” they say, voice shifting perfectly into character.
Damien lets out a relieved laugh. “Hi!”
It’s at this point that Icarus is to pull Phoenix into a hug, so Damien just pretends to pick someone up in a hug, grunts accompanying.
The two of them laugh, imagining how the scene would look in the game.
The recording stops and the director’s voice comes through, “That was good, but can we try where you actually hug Y/N, Damien? I think it’ll sound more natural that way.”
“Only if you’re okay with it,” Damien replied, looking to Y/N.
They shrug. “Sure, why not. It will probably be more natural.”
So, the big mics are swapped out for smaller ones and the two of them step around the stands where their scripts are laying to stand in front of each other.
“Okay, action.”
Damien repeats his actions from before, turning around to see Y/N standing there.
But this time they’re closer than before, and he lets out an almost surprised gasp as Y/N grins and says, “Hello.”
Damien laughs. “Hi!”
Then he just scoops them up into a hug that makes them both laugh.
It should’ve been awkward, but it oddly wasn’t.
Maybe it was the two of them being in character, or maybe it was something else entirely.
Whatever the case, Damien didn’t fully let go when he set Y/N down, hands lingering on their shoulders, until the director spoke again.
“Great, that was great you guys. We just want to try a few more scenes with you together to see which versions we like the best.”
That’s how most of the morning went, the two of them bouncing off of each other as they read lines, doing their best not to ad lib since it was, after all, a video game.
They flowed together well.
When all was said and done, the director clapped their hands and smiled.
“I think that’s a wrap, you two! Great job today.”
Y/N beamed at Damien, who could’ve melted into a puddle at that moment.
“Hey, before we go, do you think we can get a selfie? I loved working with you and I usually get one with my cast mates after a project," Damien said, smiling.
“Sure!” Y/N replied, setting down their now empty coffee cup to slide up next to Damien for the photo.
He hoped he wasn’t too red as he lifted his phone and snapped a shot of them together, both grinning ear to ear and Y/N holding up a silly little peace sign that made him laugh.
“Cool,” he said. “You don’t mind if I post it when the game’s announced do you?”
“Only if you send it to me, so I can do the same,” they replied.
“Of course, what’s your number?”
Y/N told him and Damien quickly entered it in as a new contact, sending the picture as well in succession.
Y/N’s phone buzzed in their pocket. “You work fast,” they joked.
Damien chuckled. “If, uh, if you’re not doing anything after this, I’d love to take you to lunch. As a sort of congratulations on the project being wrapped. And I’d love to get to know you better.”
They smiled. “I’d love that.”
As it turned out, Damien and Y/N had a lot in common, besides their voice talents and their affinity for the thumbs up.
It was amazing how well they got on for only knowing each other for the one day.
After that, they texted frequently, and started hanging out more.
It effected Damien's mood and everyone noticed that he was happier as of late.
"How's Y/N?" Shayne asked, slyly, at Smosh lunch one day.
Damien looked up from his phone where he was, indeed, texting Y/N. "...fine."
Shayne laughed.
"You should totally just ask them out, already," Courtney encouraged. "Make it official."
"What? No, it's too soon."
"You guys are practically in the dating stage already," Courtney continued. "You even go on dates."
"They're not dates! We just hang out," Damien protested.
Courtney raised a brow at him. "Hanging out, just the two of you, having dinner and watching movies?"
Damien must've been red. "We're just friends!"
"But you want to be more, don't you?"
It was obvious. Obviously.
He'd had a crush on Y/N since before they'd even met and now that they were "hanging out" it was worse than ever.
But Damien wasn't great at gaging romantic feelings, let alone the feelings of someone that he liked in a romantic way. It was natural for him to feel like they don't feel the same way, right?
"I think you should go for it," Shayne said. "If it ends up bad, then you guys are early enough in the friend stage that if it ends the friendship, so be it, and if it doesn't, great."
He had a point there.
Damien hadn't know Y/N long enough for the end of this friendship to ruin him completely. Sure, he'd be sad, but he could bounce back from it.
Still, there was that fear.
"Maybe," he finally said, taking a bite of his lunch to avoid saying anything else.
Shourtney seemed to accept that as an answer and let the subject drop, but it remained in the back of Damien's mind for the rest of the day.
Every time Y/N texted him, he thought about it.
Heck, he even drafted a text asking them out but deleted it, deciding if he was gonna do it, he should do it in person.
He let it go all the way to the games release announcement and he finally posted that picture he’d spent more time staring at than he’d care to admit.
“Icarus is flying too close to the sun,” He wrote in the caption. “It was an honor to be chosen as the main character for this game and I can’t wait for you guys to get to play it.”
Y/N posted not long after him, a similar post with a screenshot of the release on Variety, a picture of themselves with a photo of Phoenix, a picture of them in the booth, and, of course, the one with Damien.
“Phoenix I’ll always love you but not as much as Icarus,” they wrote in the caption.
Damien liked it immediately and commented. “Fire (literally) 🔥
The likes and comments began flooding in so he closed the app and made his way to set for a games video.
"On the day that we're filming this Damien just announced he's the voice of the main character in the new game Fire and Brimstone!" Shayne said and everyone at the table clapped for him.
Damien smiled, not expecting the comment. "Yeah, it was a really cool experience to work on and I think everyone's gonna love it."
"You worked with Y/N L/N, right?" Angela asked and Damien immediately wondered if it was on purpose.
But he rolled with it. "Yeah, they're really cool as well, we worked together in the booth a bit and had some fun."
"Sweet."
"So, let's get into it," Shayne said before explaining the rules of Werewolf quickly, as it was a common game for the channel.
As fun as it was, Damien was definitely distracted the whole time, he just hoped that it didn't show on camera.
He couldn't stop thinking about them.
We still on for the coffee shop? Y/N texted later that day.
Damien's fingers hovered over his phone's keyboard, debating on what to text back.
I mean, of course he wanted to still go to the coffee shop with them, but he was planning on asking then. And he was nervous, debating on backing out, making some excuse as to why he couldn't make it anymore.
He took a deep breath.
You know it
Okay. There it was. No backing out now. Not unless he wanted to seem like a huge dick.
He could do this.
Right?
"I'm gonna do it." Damien said, seriously.
Shayne looked over at him from his desk. "Oh, shit, really?"
Damien nodded.
"Do what?" Spencer asked, leaning back in his chair and sipping his Mountain Dew Kickstart.
"He's gonna ask Y/N out."
"Really? Good for you, man."
"Thanks," Damien replied, but his nervousness was clear.
"Don't sweat it, dude, they're gonna say yes," Shayne said.
"And if they don't?"
Shayne shrugged. "Then it's not meant to be."
Damien was realizing he hated when people gave him the same advice he'd give them.
"Hey!"
Y/N brightened upon seeing him, breaking out in a smile as a greeting.
"Hey, I ordered you coffee, you wanted the usual, right?"
Damien nodded, sitting across from them.
He'd been nervous on the way there, but Y/N's demeanor had a way of putting him at ease.
“You okay?” They asked.
Damien’s heart soared. God they were perfect.
“Would you wanna go out with me?” He blurted, all the plans he’d made on the way over thrown out the window.
Y/N seemed taken aback for a moment, eyes widened at the outburst, and he feared the worst, but the expression soon cracked into a smile.
Their beautiful smile.
“Officially?”
Damien smiled. “Yeah. Yeah, officially. I want you to be my partner. Exclusively.”
They laughed. “Yes. Absolutely, positively yes.”
And that was a relief.
“Thank god,” Damien said, making Y/N laugh again.
They reached across the table and held his hand and Damien could’ve died happily right then.
“Hey, let’s take a photo,” they suggested, taking out their phone.
Damien eagerly leaned in for the photo, smiling broadly.
Y/N typed on their phone rapidly before handing it to him.
It was the photo as a draft for an Instagram story with the words “Phoenix + Icarus = ❤️🔥”
“That okay?” They asked.
Damien nodded. “It’s perfect.”

Hellenic Deities: Apollo
🏹God of music, art, healing, the Sun/light, prophecy, archery, and poetry
🏹Symbols: bow and arrow, the lyre, palm tree, laurel wreath, cypress tree
🏹Sacred Animals: python or other snakes, hawks, mice, crows, wolves, cicadas
🏹Colors: different shades of yellow and orange (especially gold)
🏹Crystals: Sunstone, citrine, carnelian, amber
🏹Most Important Myths:
-His birth, alongside his twin sister Artemis
-Slaying Python with his arrow
-Punishing Niobe for disrespecting his family
-Death of Hyancinthus
-His obsession with Daphne
-Beating those who challenge him in music (both Pan and Marsyas)
🏹”Don’t take the myths too literally” understanding
Among those who take the mythology at face value, Apollo has one of the better reputations of the gods. He was idealized as the god who represented the “civilized” picture of Ancient Greece. So, he is often not as extreme as his counterparts are depicted. Yet, he does have a few tales where he can seem particularly harsh. This is usually in regards to arrogance, rudeness or entitlement from others. His violent or vindictive responses to these offenses are symbolic of how excessive or misplaced ego has always been frowned upon in Hellenism. Apollo is, in actuality, a very gracious, level, dignified and warm being. He is really kind and serene but if he has to put you in check, he will; firmly but lovingly.
In the myth involving Daphne, where he pursues her so relentlessly that she turns herself into a tree to get away from him, the takeaway is not to see Apollo as a “creep” of some kind. My take on it is that there is a message here about how passion can override reason. Apollo is known as being very logical and civil, most of the time. But, his desire for Daphne brought another side out of him. This was the ancient writers’ way of saying that no being can escape the intense pull of love and desire (Eros, the ruler of these forces, is the one who made Apollo fall for her). Also, I think there is a tragic irony in the golden boy who seemingly wins at everything not being able to get what he wants, showing even the most gifted or fortunate souls are also let down at times.
🏹Devotional Acts: listening to music, pursuing music as a hobby or career, practicing an instrument or your vocal abilities, sunbathing (don’t forget your sunscreen) or just getting out of the house on a warm day, taking a trip to a warm destination (especially if it’s winter), learning archery, learning Tarot, doing Tarot readings, writing or reading poetry, dedicating poetry to him, drawing or painting pictures of him (he loves this more than most gods)
🏹Assistance and Support:
-Apollo is highly sought after when it comes to assistance in artistic endeavors, particularly music. If you’re a singer/songwriter/musician, he can help you in lots of ways, like coming up with song ideas or getting better at your craft. Apollo is like a diligent teacher in this way, so he will push you to live up to your full potential and will expect you to be dedicated. If you’re not willing to put in the effort, you might not get much from him. He doesn’t want you to just have “passion”. Apollo will guide you to develop discipline and consistency. His major lesson here is that raw talent and passion will go to waste if you are not putting them to good use.
He can also be a significant resource if you write poetry or are a visual artist of some kind (painter, illustrator, sculptor, etc)
-Apollo is quite the jock, as well, and I have found that he can help people in athletic endeavors. But, instead of something like football or basketball, he can assist you in sports that are a little more niche: track, tennis, martial arts, wrestling, and, of course, archery. So many of his myths hinge on his physical prowess and his victories over others. (He even beat Ares in a wrestling match, which is no small feat!)
Apollo’s athleticism is more about a quick, lithe, one-on-one sense of competition. This is why he has a certain dominion over these types of sports. Boxing is another one he is highly associated with, largely due to the myth of him beating the giant king Phorgas in a boxing match.
-If you are feeling under the weather, Apollo can help accelerate your healing process. Although praying to him can play a part in alleviating symptoms, it will still be important for you to take your medicine and, if needed, go to the doctor. He can also guide you in terms of developing healthier lifestyle habits.
-Apollo just brings good vibes. He is the embodiment of light, after all. A lot of people who work with him do so just because he makes them feel good. I have found that, outside of his more obvious functions like being a god of music, he is kind of a general mood-booster. You can call on him to brighten up your day, help you experience life more positively, or feel more self-confident and self-assured. He won’t encourage you to be blindly happy. As positive and enthusiastic as he can be, he also has a more sensible and temperate side. He is like the smart big brother who looks out for you and cheers you up but without letting you become foolish or delusional. He is not about “toxic positivity”. He guides you toward truly empowered positivity.
-Speaking of combating toxicity, Apollo is a wonderful source of Divine Masculine energy. However you identify, Apollo can help you tap into your masculine side in a healthy and even sensitive way. People who are more masculine and work with him/are connected to him typically have an ease with their feminine side while still being very masculine.
(Although he is said to be androgynous, Apollo’s half-brother Dionysus is much more gender-bending. Apollo is more like the athletic pretty boy, in my experience)
-Interestingly, Apollo is often very associated with male beauty, even though he is not an official beauty deity. Anyone who is male-presenting can ask for his assistance in feeling more attractive or charismatic, as well as help with seeing their beauty or putting more effort into their appearance without fear or shame.
Yes, Aphrodite could definitely be called on for this. But, I feel Apollo can more specifically help men feel okay with being beautiful, instead of conforming to the “ruggedly handsome” or overly masculine ideal. He is like the patron of the pretty boys.
-Apollo can obviously help when it comes to solar magic, if that is something you practice or are interested in. He also can be a major support in divination. As the god of prophecy, anything from Tarot to scrying to pendulum readings are right up his alley. He will help you develop and trust your intuition and if you possess clairvoyance or claircognizance, he can awaken/strengthen these gifts alongside you. Those who have these psychic abilities may feel an especially strong bond with Apollo.
🏹Additional Note
-I like to call Apollo a “two for one” god because he is usually either accompanied by or accompanying Artemis or Dionysus or both. They are both his siblings. Artemis is his twin and Dionysus is the yin to his yang. People who work with Apollo usually (though not always) end up developing a strong bond with one or both of these deities. The reverse can also happen. You may be very connected to Artemis or Dionysus and then realize that Apollo is showing up in your life in a major way.

୧ ׅ𖥔 ۫ you’re too sweet for me. ⋄ 𓍯

…IN WHICH! luke feels as if you’re too sweet for his bitter self.
tags/warnings; luke castellan x apollo!reader, teenage dirtbag!luke, mutual yearning for each other, luke being kinda insecure, luke taking reader’s innocence as a bad thing, grape and wine mentioned a lot, my interpretation of ‘too sweet.’
ೃauthor notes⁀➷ go listen to too sweet by hozier tmrw. also i threw this up because i fear i might leave for the week next week since it’s spring break and i wanna see my friends
—
you watched as luke walked past you. again.
what you did to deserve such treatment like this—you’ll never know. you truly did all you could to seem sweet, kind, gentle—loving. but it’s like none of those qualities appealed to him.
it’s like it pushed him away. like you being too sweet was too much for him. you tried to not be overbearing, overly clingy, too sensitive, everything. because you genuinely liked luke.
and you genuinely liking someone was rare. you treated your body like it was sacred—something that not even the gods above could touch.
luke seen the disappointment in your eyes as you bit your tongue. he’s doing this for your own good, he’s doing this for your own good. he swears it up and down.
he’s too much of, well, an asshole if we’re being honest. you’re a deity he’d hear about from stories passed down from generation to generation. he’d pray and worship you if you weren’t actually in the same camp as him.
luke wants nothing more than to protect you, truly. corrupting a girl like you was the last thing he’d want.
he wants nothing more than to be the guy to hold you, to kiss you, to brush your hair, to be your assistant when your fixing up another broken nose. luke prays to experience such a thing in another life.
his bitterness and your innocence were just something that were never meant to be. and luke took that harder than you did.
you were as soft as rain, as bright as the morning, pretty as a vine and as sweet as a grape. luke would wait forever for you to, inevitably turn bitter. slowly but surely, he believed everyone did. he wished that he could sit you gently on a barrel and wait for you.
but watching you patch up percy with the most careful precision he’d ever seen made him feel different.
like he’d take his whiskey with a chaser instead of neat like luke normally would. he’d throw out his plain black coffee and take whatever iced latte you prefer.
seeing how well you are with kids would make him hear wedding bells. luke pushed the chimes to the back of his head and finally took his eyes off you as he seen a younger aphrodite girl rush up to you, frantic.
“y/n! help me, please! i got a paper cut and it’s bleeding and it hurts! will it scar? be honest!”
you couldn’t help but giggle at lottie as she looked like she was on the verge of tears. for a moment, you didn’t think about luke. you rushed her into your cabin, under the premise that ‘you’ll do everything you can to make sure it doesn’t scar her pretty finger.’
lottie felt you put a band-aid on her with the utmost gentleness she’d ever felt. a thumb wiped away the tears that couldn’t seem to fall down her cheek.
as you guided her back to her cabin with a smile across the blond’s face, you felt a pair of eyes watching you.
luke wanted to be right there with you, helping lottie, praising you as he kissed your temple. but he stood several meters away with a clenched jaw as his brows in their normal furrowed state.
he knew he couldn’t go up to you like he prayed he could. maybe in a few years, months even. if he prayed to you hard enough. if he clenched his hands together harder.
luke castellan would rather hold the 7 realms with his pinkie than ever corrupt what he grew to love about you. even if it meant pushing you away, pushing you to love another, he’s doing it for your own sake.
maybe he would have to forget praying to the gods for a day and be selfish. just this once. he’d pray that the grape he loved so much would turn to wine faster.
things that were too sweet for luke were simply too much.

While strawberries certainly are a reddish-pink color and are roundish in shape, the origin of the name “Strawberry Moon” has nothing to do with the Moon’s hue or appearance.
• June's full Moon is typically the last full moon of spring or the first of summer. The June Full Moon will be extraordinary. For the first time since 1985, Full Moon happens precisely on the summer solstice, when the Sun is highest up. Because the Full Moon is always opposite the Sun, this year, you will see that the Moon is 10 widths lower on the horizon than the Sun ever is.
This “Strawberry Moon” name has been used by Native American Algonquian tribes that live in the northeastern United States as well as the Ojibwe, Dakota, and Lakota peoples to mark the ripening of “June-bearing” strawberries that are ready to be gathered. The Haida term Berries Ripen Moon reflects this as well. As flowers bloom and early fruit ripens, June is a time of great abundance for many.

The history of Litha reveals its deep connections to ancient agricultural societies & their reliance on the sun's power.
Litha is often associated with Midsummer, a celebration that extends beyond the pagan and Wiccan traditions. Midsummer festivities are observed in many cultures around the world, including Scandinavian countries where it holds a prominent place in their cultural heritage. Midsummer dances, bonfires, & feasts are integral parts of these celebrations, often accompanied by folklore and traditional rituals that honor the sun's energy and the abundance of nature during this time.
The summer solstice is the longest day of the year & in some traditions, Litha is when The Sun(The God) is symbolically at it's peak time of power & the World will soon be ripe to harvest. It is also when The Goddess is pregnant with The God who is to be reborn at Yule.
Some also believe the history & spirit of Litha revolve around two deities, The Oak King & The Holly King. In Wiccan and Neo-Pagan traditions, each King rules the Earth for half of the year. From Yule to Litha, the Oak King rules. On Litha, the two battled for the crown and it is then that the Holly King triumphs. The Holly King will rule through fall until Yule, and the cycle will begin again.
Related festivals:
• Vestalia- June 7th -15th
Was a Roman religious festival in honor of Vesta, the goddess of the hearth & the burning continuation of the sacred fire of Rome. It was held from 7–15 June & was reserved as a women's-only event.
As long as the curtain remained open, mothers could come, barefoot and disheveled, to leave offerings to the goddess in exchange for a blessing to them and their family.
For the last day, the penus Vestae was solemnly closed, the Flaminica Dialis observed mourning & the temple was subjected to a purification called stercoratio: the filth was swept from the temple and carried next by the route called clivus Capitolinus and then into the Tiber.
