Would you LIKE Yarrick to come into the Ghaz vs Angron thing? Or would you rather that not be a thing
I’d like there to be some sort of properly written introspection by Nate Crowley from Ghazghkull over his death. I don’t necessarily think I care much for it being tied to Angron, but it’s not the worst thing. What if Ghazghkull finds out he died peacefully in bed and spends a book mixing denial with trying to reconcile such an un-Orky thing? What if he died of a mundane illness but Ghazghkull goes on a massive campaign against Nurgle to try and direct blame onto something he can hurt? What if Ghazghkull spends a book trying to find who killed Yarrick, smashing through obfuscation and setback, only to find out Yarrick is alive and tucked away somewhere quiet, and that he just got old and retired? How does the desire to fight and his respect for Yarrick resolve these kinds of (for an Ork) complex incompatibilities in his mind?
I think you could do a lot of simple things with Yarrick’s demise that would enable a good examination of Ghazghkull as a character, and I think that’s how his death should be used.

Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka from Warhammer 40k could kill Macbeth as 40k orks grow from fungal spores and don't have a concept of gender.
Yes, Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka from Warhammer 40k could kill Macbeth!
Tumblr media
In Warhammer 40k, Orkoids are a species of half-animal half-fungus creatures that reproduce via dispersing fungal spores into the air, which then take nourishment from the ground to grow into a new Orkoid. This applies every Orkoid in Warhammer 40k for the Unconventional Birth Clause!
In regards to the Gender Clause, I couldn't find much to back up your claim about Orkoids not having a concept of gender; Ghazghkull was only ever referred to with masculine pronouns in the sources I checked. So, until someone can show me evidence otherwise, we will be considering Ghazghkull to be a man (in the gender sense, not the species sense).
Thank you for your submission!

Feel a bit silly to ask you for stuff w/ my ocs so—
Maybe some slice-of-lifey fluff for yarrick?
Many thanks!!! Have a good day :)!
He slowly sipped his cup of recaf, taking in the smell of burning fungus as this planet's red sun slowly rose.
A soldier approached and saluted, "Another successful battle, commissar," they greeted.
"Indeed," he nodded. "The blasted greenskins take another loss while we take victory. It does me good to see this kind of carnage and wreckage. That of the enemy."
He smiled at the work of his soldiers. They cleaned up the remaining orks with flames, ensuring every last spore was taken care of.
The soldier tried to make small talk, "How is the recaf this morning sir?"
"It tastes like grox," he answered, taking another sip. "I think I'll take a walk. Dismissed."
"Yes, sir."
He moved throughout rubble and the wreckage of shoddy vehicles.
"Keep up the good work," he mentioned to a soldier, burning a pile of ork bodies.
"Thank you, Commissar," they answered.
At the far end of their battlefield, locals were picking through crumbled buildings, looking for any supplies.
He didn't say a word as he joined them, offering any assistance he could. He could hear some of their young children now reenacting the battle from just yesterday. They heralded the Imperial Guard and their determination. Perhaps one day they'd join their ranks.
He noticed a lieutenant hastily making their way to him. He immediately knew what it was about and went to meet them.
"Sir," they greeted. "Ghazghkull Thraka was spotted in the northern quadrant, just mete minutes ago."
He sighed, "Only in death does duty end. Thankfully, I finished my recaf."

if orks were capable of being horny they would be very VERY horny for Yarrick
But they have to be respectful about it because it’s well known that Yarrick is Ghazghkull’s battlewife and any undue rudeness will result in a car-sized klaw through someone’s head.

I am asking not to be antagonistic but out of genuine curiosity
Are there ANY women in warhammer??
Amongst the main space marines, there aren't any really that are notable, save for angron's captain, Lotara Sarrin, who's a BPD queen and probably dead or driven to insanity like the rest of the world eaters. Love that for her (heavy sarcasm). There are the sisters of battle and the sisters of silence, who are like space marines (put an asterix next to the sos, though, since there's a technicality on that one) but women and they have boob armor and shit. The other factions are a bit better for having women in their main storylines (a bit better. But seeing how much of Warhammer is driven by the space marines with factions such as the sob and sos as footnote, that's a low bar to clear). The eldar actually have impactful major female characters, and... The necrons have like two named female characters, one of whom is, again, notably secondary to the male characters in the story. The orks don't really have genders, since they're mushrooms, but almost exclusively are referred to using masculine terms and pronouns (in one of the newer ork books, ghazghkull was referred to as "they", but, for the comfort of the human interrogators present, the narrator switched pronouns to "he"). The adeptus mechanicus and imperial guard are better for having female characters, and the tyranids.... Idk they're bugs.
Warhammer fantasy is a whole nother thing, though. There are a lot more female characters, and, shockingly, a lot of them have an impact on the story instead of being secondary or tertiary.
TL;DR: Warhammer 30k and 40k are meatfests and Warhammer fantasy actually has women

Hello, I'm here to ask about my favourite RWBY au of yours, the Summon mentor au. Specifically, each characters personality change thanks to their mentor, like how different the character's personality from the Canon
Starting from the top...
Ruby Rose - Death
To be perfectly honest, I can't see Ruby being all too different from normal. However, she might be a different, more mature person in the future, considering her mentor is Death himself.
Weiss Schnee - Alucard
When you get to the basics, both Alucard and Weiss have a lot in common. Both of them are children of illustrious and well-known families, and both have a strained relationship, if any at all, with their tyrannical and downright evil fathers. So I think the training Weiss receives will be a mixture of fencing and swordplay sprinkled with a little bit of self-reassurance practices to remind her that she is not her father.
Blake Belladonna - Ezio Auditore da Firenze
I feel like thanks to a much more mature Ezio is teaching Blake, he knows how to bring out the best in her, especially since he's already got plenty of experience teaching students just like her before. As a result, I feel like Blake is going to be much more efficient with her stealth, as well as more versatile in her arsenal and tactics.
Yang Xiao Long - Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka
Considering Yang is already the most destructive member of Team RWBY, having the Ork warboss to end all warbosses as her mentor isn't going to do much to pull her back from her collateral damage. She just might start as many fights as she can just so she can get into the thrill of the fight. And if she loses, then that just means she didn't hit hard enough, right?
Jaune Arc - Po
Unless Po has seriously changed in the upcoming fourth movie, Jaune is pretty much going to be just like him. He's kinda put on a couple pounds (not as much as Po, of course), and has found a way to convert what he eats into fuel for his martial arts. He's also not going to be using his sword for a lot in this version, but he still has it.
Nora Valkyrie - Reinhardt Wilhelm
Looking at Reinhardt's previous student, Brigitte, I can imagine Nora shifting from heavy artillery to focus a little more on her defense. The hammer stays, though. And not only does it stay, it gets an upgrade. One that it's sure to knock Grimm socks off! ...if they wore socks.
Pyrrha Nikos - Kratos
Kratos was a leader of many a military company and has spent much time as a father-figure of sorts, both to his own kids as well as Pandora. These all add up to a mentor who teaches Pyrrha how to wield every weapon she can, but masters the most dangerous and most effective one; herself. So we have a Pyrrha is both sure of herself and acting as a jack-of-all-trades.
Lie Ren - Zaraki Kenpachi
Ren may not look like too different from his original iteration, but this boy has scars from how intense his training can get. In fact, his whole combat routine is simply "fight the biggest one". It sometimes scares Nora with how reckless he can get, especially when she's been the one to provide first aid on more than one occasion.

@two-reflections here. Probably not a hot take, but writers should post Director's Commentaries anyway! I love reading that kind of thing, at least.
It's hard to choose which fic to request commentary for because I've loved every one of your fics I've read, but I'm going to go for Some Inconvenient Insight. Makari and Trazyn are combination of characters I never knew I needed to see interact until they did in your story. Please tell us more about your process! 😁
Aw, thanks! That one was a while back, but best I remember I was in my early 40K book binge (I'd discovered Infinite and the Divine, so I was on the quest for more 40k books I'd enjoy). I read Ghazghkull's excellent book by Nate Crowley. Idk if you've read it, but it is actually framed as a story Makari is telling as he is interrogated by a group from the Ordo Xenos. And Markari is a sassy little shit. I love him.
What made me want to write a fic with him and Trazyn was when he explained the concept of a "grod" (in relation to Ghaz and Yarrick). Grod is a perfect enemy, the ork version of a soulmate. It 100% has romantic overtones (or close as orks can get anyway). Like, Makari asks if Yarrick thinks about Ghaz, if he hates him, wants to fight him etc. And the idea clicked in my mind for Trazyn and Orikan, our eternally divorced couple. The image of Trazyn having to deal with Makari was too funny for me to pass up. Nobody else in the galaxy could possibly humble Trazyn the Infinite. Gotta love being confronted about your feelings by a grot of all things XD
(if anyone is curious, this ask is based on this post. I do love chatting about writing and my stories!)

"Sister." She leans in slightly, as if she were about to ask something really embarrassing "If in the unlikely event one of your Thousand Sons were to prank vox an Ork Warboss...would you apologise to the xeno or would you punish the marine? One of my sons hacked into Ghazghkull Thraka's voxes and claimed he was looking for an Ork friend...he'd made the ork shout at the top of his lungs that he was looking for said friend who was named 'Seymour Ogryn Arzes'..." She grimaces a little "What would you recommend?"
"The master politician herself requesting my input... on xenos affairs no less... though you do pose an interesting question..." The sorceress stated, her eye flitting about as she thought over the current predicament Guilliman had found herself in. She had to stifle a laugh from the whole ordeal. "I would certainly punish the child... as for the Ork... unfortunately they aren't exactly the sorts to care for apologies... and it's Ghazghkull Thraka no less... perhaps the only Ork I would consider to be a threat to any civilization under the stars... perhaps I am not of the Imperium any longer but it would certainly leave a bad taste in my mouth if orks were its undoing. Perhaps the solution is, unfortunately, further prank voxing and perhaps some psychic influences... make them believe it's just a strange Orky behavior rather than an outside influence. It doesn't seem like something too far outside of the norm of Ork behavior... this would only work though if we're assuming he is unaware that it was done by "stinkin umies" as they would put it... if he is aware then unfortunately you may need to break out your flamers and bolters and get to work... if you cull them quick enough then ideally their forces won't rise to the levels they have potential to."
