If Robin were a boy she'd be everyone's favorite character but since she's a girl she only gets to be Steve's gay best friend.
#from the simple fact that male!Robin from alternate dimension would certainly be a gay man#automatically shipped with Steve because Of Course#like of course that's how it'd go. and everyone would accuse the show of queerbaiting because obviously a queer man can't come out to a#male straight friend if it doesn't have some supposed ''romantic subtext'' there#the shipwars among h4rringrove and st3ddie and m/m!St0bin would drive me insane#what really drives me up the walls is people so desperate for canon queer rep they need to make up queerness in characters when it isn't#there. and im not talking abt headcanons or shipping i'm talking about people who wholeheartedly believe byl3r is going to be canon#like beyond it being a theory like these people actually believe mike is gay in canon and was intentionally written that way#it wouldn't bother me if it wasn't so painfully clear the female queer character we got isn't enough.#like idc if people have different opinions from me. if you're a byl3r endgame truther it doesn't affect me you do you#but byl3r and st3ddie being so fucking MASSIVE just shows you how male characters are priorized over female characters. like i get people#liking those ships and characters. i'm just shocked to see the NUMBERS.#and knowing Robin isn't as appreciated as them just because she's a girl#like sometimes i feel almost guilty to fixate on her when she's not like one of the main MAIN characters and she barely has an arc and gets#little attention from the story. but then i remember the eddie/st3ddie fandom exists#idk i just wish i could find robin content in robin tags but it seems like tags such as ''robin buckley internalized homophobia'' (my guilty#pleasure when it comes to angst) is dominated by straight boys steve and eddie. which is ironic

Giving you a character: Billy, of course. :p
Tumblr media
Of course, Billy Hargrove was to be expected :D
Tumblr media
How I feel about this character: I have strong and complicated feelings about this character. He's a bad boy, the kind of guy I would have absolutely hated in high school but also the kinda guy who would not be boring at least. :D He's loud and obnoxious and parties like an animal, but his taste in music is impeccable (I love rock and metal and music from the 80's and I will not take criticism for that). He's got pretty eyes (that curly mullet is... well, let's say, H&M did it better <3), a nice body and a great fashion sense (denim-on-denim and leather jackets ftw) and he drives a Chevrolet Camaro from '79 like a madman. He can also be pretty funny when he wants to be, ridiculous even. So, what's not to like really? :P
All the people I ship romantically with this character: I mostly ship him with Steve, Eddie and Argyle (the last two are totally crack and fanon but who gives). I think Billy and Heather could've been hot, more than friends, maybe even friends-with-benefits if not an actual couple. Just sayin'. I've seen some great headcanons, maybe even fanart of Billy and Chrissy and I think, you know, the princess and metalhead setting could've worked with them, too.
As for my most 'problematic' Billy ship, I actually really like Billy and Hopper. There's this whole daddy kink thing involved I suppose. Lowkey my favorite crackship Ted and Billy as well. :P I'm also very supportive of Billy and El in general, I think the actors had great chemistry in s3 and I can see why some ship them, so I suppose I lowkey ship them (in spirit), too.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: Though I ship Billy and Heather romantically, I also love seeing them as 'gay besties', supporting each other and protecting each other. It's one of my favorite headcanons in this fandom. Same goes for Chrissy I suppose, if not romantically involved.
Though Billy had his issues with Max, maybe even than beyond just normal 'sibling-ship', I still enjoyed their relationship a lot. It's clear that they spent a lot of time together (whether they actually hated it or not), and that they deeply cared for each other.
My unpopular opinion about this character: The majority of the fandom seems to think (or at least acts like) Billy is the worst character in the show and at least used to actively bully and harass Billy fans and shippers (his actor got his fair share of that also I hear). Though Billy was definitely not the nicest character or even particularly 'goody-good' (he was a bully and quite shitty at times actually), acting like he's worse than Dr. Brenner, for example, is bullshit. We clearly did not watch the same show.
Also, for other Billy fans... He might be your baby, but he's not an actual baby. He's not really your son or child and you don't need to 'protect' him from the haters who can't separate fiction from reality (just block them) or tw/anti Karen or any other character you don't like in favor of Billy (you're no better). Billy can also be shipped with characters other than Steve (male or female, older and younger, even self-inserts) and just because you don't like it, doesn't make the ship automatically 'problematic'. It just means there are people out there who like different things than you and you need to learn to suck it up and look away. It's for the best.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. That Billy wouldn't have faced such gruesome death. He wasn't a good guy, but he didn't deserve to die, especially so young. I also wish we could've seen what really happened between him and Max between seasons 2 & 3 because clearly their relationship improved there. Such wasted potential.

tagged by my beloved @ongreenergrasses for this writer's ask so here we go!!
1) how many works do you have on AO3?
Right now, 192, though some of them are art. So if we're talking strictly *fics*, then I think around 180?
2) What’s your total AO3 word count?
a whopping 1,012,726!!!! 😵‍💫
3) What fandoms do you write for?
Right now it's almost entirely TOG, but I have written for Captain America, Agent Carter, Wolf, Close Enemies, and there are a few orphaned hockey RPF fics written by me floating around Ao3 🫣
4) What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Carry the Field, When All The Boys Can’t Be Men, Fireproof, Lines in the Sand, and Tripping On Stars which, honestly I kind of expected, though it does bum me out that none of my AndyBooker fics made it into the top 5
5) Do you respond to comments?
almost always unless it's like... real weird or an emoji that I don't know how to respond to hahah
6) What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I might have to go with Beginning to Feel the Years, solely because it's so open ended with the angst. I really love angst with a happy ending because I love a little ray of hope through the clouds, but the morning after this fic is just going to be so hard, no matter what.
7) What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
I really gotta hand it to North Star for the softest ending in the world. I said fuck the haters and gave Andy a husband, 2 kids, and a picket fence with zero regrets
8) Do you get hate on fics?
not usually, people tend to save that for Tumblr, but I did get a little whining on Change Your Ticket when I started redeeming Francesca the way she deserved.
9) Do you write smut?
the fact that this is even a question and not an automatic yes is so funny. Of course I write smut. Raunchy smut, romantic smut, angsty smut, you name it, I've written it.
10) Do you write crossovers? If so, what’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Other than old Bandom crossover fics, I don't think so! I think the only thing that might count as a crossover fic is the MajidxManuel Wolf/Close Enemies fics
11) Have you ever had a fic stolen?
NO thank god 🥲
12) have you ever had a fic translated?
I have not, but I've gotten a few podfics done by @cookiemom6067
13) have you ever cowritten a fic before?
no, but I'd honestly love to cowrite one!
14) What’s your all time favorite ship?
As much as I want to say it's AndyBooker, I really gotta give it up to Steve/Bucky. They were the blueprint for a lot of my shipping patterns now.
15) What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Everything gets finished eventually, though it might take me a bit right now
16) What are your writing strengths?
Other than my smut writing skills, I think either dialogue or handling a lot of tough topics with nuance. People in fandom right now love their black and white subjects and I am all about that grey matter.
17) what are your writing weaknesses?
action sequences, without a doubt.
18) thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I tend to either keep it to small little pieces of dialogue in latinized form (especially with stuff like Arabic/Yiddish) but with Prodigal Son, I really wanted the language to be a little symbolic of how othered Ilan feels. Because most people can't read Hebrew, keeping it in its original form felt the most isolating. If you're not Jewish and know Hebrew, you won't know what Ilan's saying unless you *try* to translate it, which is more than what he gets in the fic.
So I think it can be an interesting plot device, depending on how you use it.
19) First fandom you wrote for?
Harry Potter but I was like...12 and that fandom got abandoned quick ahahah
20) Favorite fic you’ve written?
FAVORITE? Oof I usually say the Cherry Wine fics or North Star, but I'm gonna broaden my answer this time and offer a couple little one shots. I REALLY love Color Him Father just because I love the idea of transmasc!Booker, and then the one I love that doesn't get enough love is From Adam’s Rib, my golem!Winter Soldier fic
tagging @druckkugelschreiber @quinbi @captain-grammar and @shatterthefragments, as well as anyone else who wants to do this!

“Thinkin’ of you all day ain’t nothing new, that’s how I usually spend my days,” he grins, and if he’d been able to, he would’ve stolen a kiss. As it is, he just watches Steve clean himself off, taking in the cuts and bruises and there’s a sinking feeling in his gut. He swallows any reaction he has though, for Steve’s sake. Bucky doesn’t care that Steve is small, hell if he was bigger than Bucky it wouldn’t matter, he would still hate seeing him fucked up like this. He wishes Steve didn’t think that any sign of care was automatically pity or being coddled. Bucky knew better, he never liked to baby Steve either, and he knows that Steve can hold his own.
But seeing the man he loved bruised and bloody was difficult, and wanting to help him deal with some of it was an instinct that was hard to ignore. But he keeps his hands to himself and just lets him handle it, trying not to show his obvious concern.
When Steve starts explaining the story, his eyes widen and he’s got such conflicting feelings. First he’s furious, absolutely furious because what the hell was he thinking, going into a rally like that and heckling? It was dangerous, reckless, practically asking for a beating. But he instantly quells that anger by reminding himself that that’s exactly who Steve is. Steve hates bullies, absolutely loathes anyone associated with the Nazis that were wreaking havoc over in Europe, so of course if he saw a Nazi rally like that, he was going to go and show how much he hates it. It was one of the only ways he was able to fight back against them especially now that he’s been rejected from the army. So he doesn’t reprimand him or scold him, just nodding and listening to the story.
“Jesus, you’re lucky you weren’t arrested, they’ve been putting people in jail for inciting riots and brawls,” he murmurs, sitting back and going back to undoing his buttons so he could shrug his shirt off, like he had been when he first walked in, “hate those fuckin’ rallies, can’t believe they’re still being held when people are shipping out each day to go fight them over there. We don’t need that shit here,” he mutters
“The Jewish mob? That’s..yeah it’s great that they saw you, at least someone recognizes that you’re a badass for sticking up for what’s right. Who knows, maybe if there’s anything you need when I’m gone they can help you out,” he grins, obviously joking because who was he kidding? Steve would never ask anyone for help, not even with his dying breath.
Bucky goes still when Steve pops his head out of the bathroom and stares at him. It doesn’t last long though, and he rushes forward to the bathroom to stand in the doorway.
“Jesus Steve I…what the fuck,” he muttered, getting another washcloth wet with warm water and beginning to help clean the blood away. God, he was covered in blood and bruises, Bucky could tell this wasn’t just one guy that did this. What kind of trouble did he get into? Did someone from the docks do this?
No that would mean he had been beaten this morning and it looked too fresh for that. He goes to get the antiseptic and bandages, helping him get the cuts handled before sitting on the toilet and just watching him deal with the rest.
“My day was alright, you were right about everyone thinking I’d been with a dame. Can’t tell ya how many times I got asked, it was hard to keep my story straight,” he admits with a weak smile. But as he watches Steve, it fades and concern blooms in his chest.
“What the hell happened Steve, who did this?” He asks quietly, swallowing his worry because he knew that Steve would probably see it as pity

the outbreak: extra (1.5)
summary: you had a word with bucky on your way to your last mission.
pairing: bucky barnes x f!reader
words: +2.5k
warnings: some bad words and slight angst.
note: hey! this wasn't planned but i wanted to add something else to the story that was surely missing. i hadn't thought about the self destructive behaviors we normalize in our daily lives and sometimes that is reflected in what we write. this conversation was something i had envisioned but hadn't seen possible, but i decided to finish it and post it after a whole day of reflection. this talk was perhaps VERY specific, but i've had conversations like this with my friends, so i hope you understand what i am trying to visualize. you can read it before or after part 2! the feedback is always appreciated! thank u for reading.
part 1
Tumblr media
Clint was extremely quiet and curiously attentive. As you prepared everything to enter the Quinjet, you shared a silent moment that was uncharacteristic of him. Generally, he would begin a pleasant and seemingly normal chat, until he would start jabbing at you with his off-hand comments and jokes about anything that came to mind.
The Clint Barton who was with you in the armory room was not your typical Clint. You began to wonder what would have happened to keep him so quiet when you saw out of the corner of your eye that Bucky entered the room.
He hadn't been able to convince Fury to send Steve in his place on the mission, and during that week you had seen him only once, about twenty yards away. You wanted to pretend (as usual) that things hadn't broken down between the two of you. That that argument had never happened and that Bucky had never found out about the real thoughts going around in your head. That everything was just running its normal course and you still considered yourselves co-workers, at least.
But it was just you playing pretend.
Bucky walked past you, grabbed the weapons he needed, the razors and knives he handled so well, a couple of grenades that he carefully stowed in the loop of his suitcase and headed for the exit without a single glance at anyone.
Clint had his back to you, but you could feel his body tense, so still you could barely tell he was breathing, as if moving between you would set off a bomb or something.
“The Quinjet is ready,” Bucky exclaimed as he stopped in front of the door. “Don't be long.”
And he got out without further ado.
The mood didn't change later, when Bucky was piloting the Quinjet having a chance to leave it on automatic and Clint was sitting with you in the back of the ship, as far away from you as possible. You watched his figure in front of you and how he sent you wary glances from time to time. The situation was becoming tedious.
You knew you were pretending not to know what was going on. You were pretending that no one felt the tension that formed when you and Bucky were in the same room, mostly being emitted from your body because the man was like a big ice cube. It was the indifference you had seen so much of him direct at other people, especially those he didn't trust, and you never thought it would be directed at you. It hurt more than you could imagine.
So for that reason you preferred to just keep the image in your head of everything that had happened before that fateful day. Maybe your mind thought it would be easier to deal with the rejection that way, because you did know it would happen, and it had taken time for the moment to arrive, but when it finally had it swept in and took everything with it, leaving you just taking it all in in the deep silence.
When the Quinjet came to a stop at its destination, Bucky walked back between you and Clint to head for the rear ramp of the ship. He quietly grabbed his things and stepped out.
Clint had moved to unbuckle his seat belt when you felt the need to ask the question. You moved to mimic the man in front of you.
“Why are you acting like that?”
“Like what?” Clint turned to look at you in confusion, his brow furrowed, when he had fully risen.
You watched his figure begin to move toward the front of the Quinjet and felt everything inside you strangely stir.
“As if you were afraid someone would suddenly start burning up next to you.”
“Not true.”
You turned to look at the man with an ingrown eyebrow, and Clint only gave you a look of complete naivety as he sat down in front of the ship's controls. You walked over to where you had left your backpack and began putting away the few things you were going to need.
“You're too tense.”
Clint clicked his tongue. His body slumped over the big chair and he shifted his feet on the floor until he was facing you.
“It's just… being around you two is too uncomfortable. In and of itself just seeing Bucky these past few days is scary.”
You frowned as you moved your hands inside your backpack. You picked up one of the pocketknives Natasha had given you, with rose embroidery on the black handle. You saw out of the corner of your eye the pistol you had been given as equipment to use in case of emergencies, and you hesitated whether or not to take it.
“Why is it uncomfortable?”
You heard the man let out a laugh before answering. “Are you kidding me? The atmosphere is so tense that I could jump in the air and get caught in an invisible mesh.”
“Of course not. There's no discomfort at all. We're fine,” you repeated your mantra with an assurance that surprised you.
You took the gun in your hands after observing it for several minutes and felt its weight between your fingers, as if telling a story you didn't want to know. Will you carry it with you or…?
“You seem to have repeated that to yourself too many times to believe it. Cute.”
“It is what it is.”
Clint sighed and watched you carefully. Your gaze on the gun did not allow you to see him examine your figure for a while, and you barely noticed the silence that formed between the two of you. Clint, then, remembered something.
“Do you really think no one heard the argument you two had last week?”
You raised your head. You went blank. You let the gun drop into the backpack again and furrowed your brow, followed by closing it and putting it back where you had initially left it. You watched Clint warily, his serious face giving you to understand that he wasn't playing with you.
“The walls aren't that thick.”
You couldn't help but simply not answer him for several seconds because what were you going to say to him? You couldn't go back to saying that everything was fine between you and Bucky because clearly everyone now knew you had something and that an angry Bucky doesn't listen to any excuses and is unkind in that state.
That explained a lot about the sneaky looks you sometimes felt when you walked around the Complex and the therapist's card Steve had accidentally left at the foot of your bedroom door.
You saw Clint again with the face of someone caught red-handed, and at the same time you felt vulnerable because under no circumstances would that possibility have crossed your mind.
Would Bucky even know?
“Can you pretend with me?”
The man sighed, but seeing your agonized expression he agreed.
And then you had to go out to meet Bucky.
You had landed about a kilometer from the distance of the target, which was a small house in an abandoned industrial town. With the information gathered, you had been able to learn the nearest location of the target within some of the houses that were within a fifty meter radius from the center of the town. Clint, already in charge of the Quinjet, would leave to supervise from the height that everything was in order, and give air support if necessary.
Bucky was a few meters away from the Quinjet, his things arranged in their respective places and with his binoculars he observed the town from his position.
“It looks desolate,” you couldn't help but comment to break the choking silence.
The man hummed in response a nod and lowered the binoculars to pass them to you without turning to look at you.
“Look east from the center. It's the only house that has light.”
You took the object he offered you careful not to brush against his skin, and promptly used them to peer into the distance. In the center of the village there was a fountain that served as a traffic circle to connect the main roads. Looking to the east, even though it was daylight, you could notice electricity highlighting one of the houses.
“It could be the target.”
“Or a trap.”
You lowered the binoculars.
“Do you have to be so gloomy?”
Bucky gave you the first look of the day. His eyes were not rough and his expression was not coarse like the few times you had seen him before, he seemed a little calmer than before, but you tried not to raise your hopes thinking that clearly the man had to maintain professionalism during the mission. And you had to do the same. Starting by stopping over-analyzing him.
He looked like he wanted to answer you, or say something else, but he just turned around and started walking towards the path that led to the village.
You definitely wanted to say something, even though you also wanted to remain professional, because you didn't want to spend the next fifteen or twenty minutes in stony silence and with your thoughts being the only thing that answered the questions in your head.
Instinctively, you kept thinking that you still had that kind of relationship with Bucky. Like you'd ask him a question about anything and he'd answer trivially and then you'd tell him something super curious about the sky and the trees and he'd listen like he was being told the truths of the universe.
Why did everything have to be so complicated?
Why did everything have to have been complicated like this?
You walked through the dry grass and stones, enduring the silence for several minutes. Every time you looked up to see the town, you felt it receding instead of coming closer. Bucky's body in front of you moved easily through the grass, almost as if he were levitating through nature.
Again, you felt that itch in your mouth with the urge to say something to fill the silence, but your mind suppressed your body's instincts. You hated it when routines disappeared, especially when they involved people who were important to you. You didn't like the sense of loss that came with the truth and that you had thought that by that point you would be more than used to it, but it seemed you had only fooled yourself.
You did it before and you were doing it then. Some things just wouldn't change.
You were seriously thinking about starting to talk to the trees when you heard his voice:
“I'm sorry.”
What?
“What?”
Bucky sighed, and after a few seconds you thought he wouldn't speak again and that he had only, unlike you, let his impulses win the battle, until you heard him again:
“I regret how I acted the last time we spoke.”
His words left you perplexed. You had expected anything less than to start a conversation about it, especially to apologize.
You frowned, not knowing exactly what to say. You weren't used to people showing that kind of remorse after walking away from your life. You suddenly felt uncomfortable, and feared the direction the conversation would take.
“Well, you had your reasons for being angry…”
“Yes, I had reasons to be angry, but all I did when you gave me the truth was walk away. That wasn't the right thing to do.”
“Well, what else were you going to do? If you stayed and hugged me you weren't going to solve anything. It's okay, Bucky, it's not like I was expecting you to do anything different.”
The man stopped his steps, and you would have collided with his back had you not been a safe distance away, your legs trying to match his stride, but failing miserably.
You saw his body turn in your direction with a puzzled expression. You tried to hide in the back of your mind the voice that constantly reminded you not to talk about those subjects. You didn't want to evoke those sensations that kept you religiously away from your feelings, the defensive actions of your own head trying to keep the boat of your sanity afloat. You didn't want Bucky to keep harping on the subject, but you knew he would.
“Are you saying that-?”
Bucky shut his mouth. Before he finished speaking, he pursed his lips into a line and took a deep breath. You could glimpse that he was dealing with his own thoughts at that moment.
“It's not normal, Y/N, nor good for a person to leave you like I did after telling you something with so much meaning to you. And also, that it took me this long to bring it up...”
You hummed in response. He was telling you the same thing that many other people had told you throughout your life, but you didn't know why his were causing your body to react differently. It was like having your chest spread out like the wings of a butterfly. It was such a strange sensation, so foreign to you that you were unconsciously afraid of it. You didn't want to feel it. You wanted it to go away.
“Why did you do it then?”
“Because I was an unconscious idiot. That's why.”
The man resumed his march as he finished speaking, and you had to wiggle quickly to keep up with him. You felt your head moving a thousand miles, as if it could travel a hundred times back and forth the village road without stopping for air once. You couldn't find a way out of the conversation, so you tried to beat around the bush.
“But aren't you a little hard on yourself? You're going to therapy, aren't you? You have things to deal with, too.”
“Maybe you're used to people leaving you, but that doesn't mean it's okay.”
You furrowed your brow, almost stopping your steps and watching his back. It wasn't okay for people to leave you? You'd lost count of all the times you'd asked yourself that question since you'd had the conscience to do it. You didn't want to think that the world was cruel to you, that people were mean to you, but that the world and people didn't have to deal with the shit you carried around.
The words died in your mouth when Bucky stopped again and that time you almost crashed into him.
“I didn't mean it that way. The truth is, people suck, and there will be plenty of fuckers who decide to leave rather than stay and help you grow. Maybe you met a lot of them and started to see them as normal, but that's not the case. That's not usual, much less with someone you consider your friend.”
“Friend?”
Bucky nodded in response.
“As in appreciation and respect?”
“Yes, you couldn't have defined it better.”
You saw him look away, suddenly sinking into his thoughts before resuming his march on his way into town. You followed him, that time more closely thankful that he was no longer jogging like he was in a marathon. There was a contradiction of emotions in your chest and in your head. There was a part of you that liked what Bucky said, that actually rejoiced in his response and appreciated his sincere apology; but there was another part of you that continued to disown his tokens of appreciation, that didn't want him to see you from above as if you were a little ant he could step on with his shoes.
That part of you that wanted to believe his words clashed with the part of you that didn't want to be vulnerable again.
“I was supposed to be that for you. Then I pushed you too hard, didn't know how to talk things out and also didn't know how to deal with the response I got. I was too angry, but that shouldn't have been a justification.”
“You wouldn't have gotten the information out of me any other way, you know that?”
“I don't think so.”
“You would never have gotten it. If you had stopped, I would have put up walls to keep you from ever coming near me again.”
You meant what you said, and Bucky knew you did. Suddenly, you felt as if in that moment you could deploy the walls to stop him from talking.
“I'm not justifying anything I did, Y/N, I also don't want to say that's how it was supposed to happen because I'm sure I would have found another way. If I hadn't let my emotions win…”
“Can we just let it be? I already know you're sorry and I told you everything was okay.”
“But nothing is okay.”
“Yes it is.”
“No, you're trying to avoid the subject.”
You snorted loudly. You hate it. You didn't want to be rude to him, but you were reaching a limit you could barely tolerate when dealing with such topics.
“Can you blame me? I feel like I've already exhausted all the feelings talk I could possibly have in a year.”
“It's not wrong to talk about these things…”
“And, still, I'd rather not.”
Suddenly, it was like having a rush of adrenaline running through your body. You started to move your legs quickly, and surprisingly you were able to overtake Bucky and start walking ahead of him. Although you looked as if you were not too affected by Bucky being this insistent with your feelings, you actually had your heart beating at an impressive speed. Your chest contracted with every breath and you felt a rock settling in the pit of your stomach. Suddenly it seemed that the temperature had dropped drastically and your hands were breaking out in a cold sweat. A shiver ran through your body and you felt fear at the possibility of Bucky bringing up that subject again.
“You should consider seeing Dr. Green.”
You stopped your steps. You watched Bucky walk toward you and not stop as you asked him, "How do you know about that? Did Steve tell you about the stupid card?"
The man gave you a sidelong glance.
“I gave it to him.”

Ok so cute things/thoughts about the Piggyback script
Near the end of the episode/script, when Nancy and Jonathan are talking, we get:
Tumblr media
I did a quick check and the “They don’t think they need a babysitter — but they do” line is not in the final scene. The “I’m glad you were with Mike, and Will” part is in the final scene, so clearly it was an important sentiment. I just like that Nancy automatically pairs Mike and Will together. There’s that surface layer acknowledgement that they’re Nancy’s and Jonathan’s respective younger siblings, of course, but it also helps to separate Mike and Will as a distinct pair away from the party and general kid group. The second line that wasn’t included in the final scene seems like a kinda playful insinuation that Mike and Will as a pair need to be protected and watched over and that Jonathan is good at this role. Idk it’s just giving me “Nancy solidifying the idea that Jonathan is the Byler Protector” vibes, and that’s cute. It’s also cute that they can bond over protective feelings towards their siblings. Kinda echoes Steve being a “babysitter,” too, so where Steve is more associated with a babysitter role towards Dustin, for example, maybe Jonathan is supposed to be associated with a babysitter role towards byler (even if it’s sort of the result of parentification).
The other cute thing is the phrases “our boys” and “our girls” being used throughout this particular script. This phrasing could be used more neutrally or affectionately, and the thought of it being used affectionately by the writers is endearing.
The first time we see “our boys” is here when El is doing the salt bath:
Tumblr media
In the scene, Jonathan looks up as if to see Will and Mike’s reactions, but Mike turns to Will immediately, and it seems like Will and Mike are the only boys who are seen sharing frightened looks. Argyle's reaction isn’t present at all. So even though we’re looking at a scene with four boys present, that “our boys” could easily be referring specifically and uniquely to Mike and Will.

We get some more reassurance later that “our boys” could be specially referring to Mike and Will because in the cabin scene, El only walks past Mike and Will/they’re the only boys it could be referring to.
Tumblr media
The kicker is that “our girls” is used once in the script for this episode, and it’s used to uniquely refer to Robin and Vickie, creating a little in-script parallel between the two main gay ships.
Tumblr media
In conclusion: Our boys (™)

So no pressure at all intended, but am I allowed to ask for Appalachian!Eddie headcanons? Or Steddie headcanons with a ✨️ sprinkle ✨️ of Appalachian!Eddie? Or Appalachian Munson Family headcanons! You've awoken a beast in me that craves this version of Eddie. 🥰
Yes, of course!! I'm physically incapable of shutting up about this, so you giving me an excuse to talk about it is wonderful. I'm going to take this in a slightly different direction and talk about all the Munson Family Lore (TM) that I couldn't necessarily fit into the first chapter of the big ass Eddie backstory, but it is all canon in my brain and my little universe.
(I promise I'm working on getting chapter 2 up!)
Anyway, in no particular order, have some of My Thoughts (started out as family lore and devolved into Steddie. I'm all over the place, it seems!):
Both of Eddie's parents are originally from West Virginia.
They had Eddie at 16 and dropped out of high school.
They had a quick courthouse wedding when they were 17. Wayne was one of the witnesses, and Eddie's mom's sister was the other one. They jokingly asked the judge if Eddie, six months old and dressed in a tiny suit-patterned onesie, could be one of the witnesses when Wayne was running late.
Eddie's dad's side of the family is Baptist, and his mom's side is Jewish. Neither one of them are particularly observant, so Eddie grows up with holidays as more cultural/family traditions, rather than religious ones.
His mom's family did not approve of the marriage. They thought his dad was up to no good. His mom doesn't really talk to her family after that.
There is a Reason(TM) why Wayne and Eddie's dad don't talk. Yes, it's a spoiler.
Wayne is about ten years older than Eddie's dad. He enlisted in the Army as soon as he turned 18 and was shipped off to Korea. When he came back, years after he got plopped back in the States, because he had to piece himself back together, he sees that his little brother dropped out of high school and has a wife (not legally, not yet) and a baby on the way.
Wayne and Eddie's dad's father was a coal miner. He also just sucked as a person, and he died when Wayne was around 17, so he didn't feel as guilty for leaving.
Wayne was a truck driver for years before he settled in Hawkins. He starts off doing construction there before he starts working at the plant.
Both of Eddie's parents are addicts. They tried their best, but they absolutely were not equipped to handle a kid.
All hail Dolly Parton. That's it, that's the thought. Eddie's parents (and Wayne) love Dolly. And a bunch of other old school country artists, like Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, and Willie Nelson. They just sort of get it.
Eddie's got an accent, but from state-hopping so much as a kid, it sounds more pan-Appalachian than anything else. His parents keep their vernacular from West Virginia, but they'll change it up for wherever they're staying. Anything to not draw attention to the fact that they're new in town, anything to keep a low profile.
Eddie likes reading Twain books. They're not written in his dialect, but he thinks it's cool that they're written in dialect at all. They're really fun to read out loud.
Eddie can't, for the life of him, say "tobacco." And I wrote a fic about it.
Eddie's mom called him all sorts of pet names growing up, but the one she used most often was "sugar." Eddie's dad was the only person who called him "Ed."
Neither one of Eddie's parents could carry a tune in a bucket, but that never stopped them from singing to him growing up. Wayne can't sing, either, but he doesn't try.
Steve thinks Eddie's accent is cool and also hot.
Eddie thinks it's a little bit funny when Steve can't understand conversations between him and Wayne. They talk so fast and the vowels and vocab are different and he is lost. Eddie will fill him in after, though.
Eddie's accent automatically kicks in when he sings lullabies.
Eddie's dad's name is John, and his mom's name is Rebecca.
"Edward" was the only first name the two of them could agree on, though they never call Eddie that, and his middle name is his father's name.
That's all I have off the top of my head! Everything else is kind of a spoiler, so I'm avoiding talking about it, at least until I get more chapters of the big ass Eddie backstory out. Thank you so much for asking, this was so much fun for me!!

in the mcu and in 616 tony plays a huge role as a protector and resourceful leader/co-leader for steve. in the 616 specifically it's explicitly said that tony gave steve a home, gave him a purpose, helped him understand and find his place in this new, scary world. they are constantly saving each other which often puts steve specifically in classical maiden in distress positions (the amount of panels consisting of tony carrying steve/flying with steve bridal style is just... insane, seriously.) steve is, in all universes i can think of, extremely insecure and it shows on his actions and decisions. extremely often tony has to be the one to guide him, to help him navigate and deal with his own mind. of course steve helps him too, very often in fact (always comes to mind demon in a bottle and how steve always wanted to help tony get sober but... we all know how that went. still, after tony got sober on his own, steve was always there to support him.) but he is by far not as experienced as tony in mundane things - if you don't count the ice, in most universes he's much younger than tony and big part of his life was spent in a war. steve is still getting used to his own body, he didn't grow up big and strong and healthy, nothing that he has now he takes for granted, and he's often very unsure and uncomfortable with his own body, despite the fact that tony, in every single universe, comments on his body. quite often, his ass, actually (america's ass???). then we have other universes like avengers assemble in which steve straight up just tells tony with a smile on his face "you lead and i'll follow".
none of this proves anything of course. none of this means steve is a bottom and tony is a top or steve is a sub and tony is a dom (two separate things btw). but they are very important moments in their relationship that are just... forgotten. ignored. the fact that tony gave steve a home and a safe place in every universe i can think of (except maybe the mcu but he still sort of tried) is important for their dynamic. but it's just ignored. because it crashes with this idea that most of the fandom has of tony stark as this uwu soft boi needs to be pwotected at all costs tiny twink and steve as (likely because of his muscles) strong powerful macho man protector and provider. which is, by the way, extremely heteronormative - the idea that for a ship to work one of them has to be the feminine tiny soft twink and the other has to be the masculine strong powerful hunk. it's always assumed that a ship has to consist of both of these roles and of course steve, with his muscles and superhuman strength, would automatically be classified as the second one, which pushes tony to be the first one and erases so much of both of their personalities and their dynamic but hey, at least it fits the traditionally feminine/traditionally masculine ship dynamic. and it's real. browse the stony fanart tag. the huge majority of it depicts tony as much shorter than he actually is and steve as much taller and dominant than he actually is.
it goes far beyond top/bottom and dom/sub. the idea that for a ship to work, even if it's a gay ship, one of them has to be tall, strong, dominant and the top and the other has to be short, twink-ish, submissive and the bottom is heteronormative. the idea that the physically stronger one has to be the first one and the shorter one has to be the second is heteronormative. if tony and steve only existed in a universe without the supersoldier serum and had the same height, fandom would treat them much differently. thank you for coming to my ted talk
bottom tony stark wouldn't be so common if rdj were just a bit taller because mainstream fandom automatically assumes that the taller = manlier which = top and therefore shorter = feminine = bottom. in this essay i will

i’ve been thinking about lucas and max a lot since the trailer came out- specifically, how their relationship is presented in contrast to the other non-adult ships (jancy + mileven) and why the different treatment endears them to me so much.
i don’t hate nancy + jonathan and mike + eleven (just not my cup of tea!) but both relationships are built on this foundation of “shared trauma” and “being indebted to each other” and “soulmates,” and, as finn wolfhard put it, being a “leech” on the other person “that you can’t fucking peel off.” 💀
this is so different from lumax, who are marketed and perceived in-show with a less… intense focus. it’s more of “i like talking to you, madmax” and shared interests and whatnot and there aren’t so many weighty expectations about the future of their relationship. notably, lucas + max are the only pair that isn’t shoved together. correct me if i’m wrong, but lucas seeks max out without prompting from anyone, tells her the truth on his own, asks her to dance without any nudges from mike or murray or even steve. and it’s not like there’s anyone encouraging max to return his affections, either. it just kind of happens organically.
to be clear, i don’t think shared trauma or encouragement from others automatically sets up a couple for failure. however, there is a marked difference in how some couples (jancy, mileven) are mostly characterized as soooooulmates forever and ever whereas others (lumax, jopper) are simply presented as people who like each other and find comfort in each other and want to maintain close relationships. it’s precisely because of this lack of expectations that i am looking forward to lumax reconciling after enduring the events of s4. i would have no trouble believing a scenario in which they decide to build a more serious, stable relationship- without falling prey to any of the promises that everyone seems to hold jancy and mileven to at gunpoint 😵‍💫
ambiguity is usually my best friend but i think lumax is one of the few pairs i’m genuinely okay with being “locked” into endgame, even though they’re (ironically) broken up at the beginning of s4 with no guarantee of getting back together. of course, s4 could easily shake things up. maybe they end up hating each other. maybe they think, “you know what, we’re better off as friends.” maybe max dies or falls into a magical decadelong coma (god forbid). but no matter what happens in s4 that’s where i’m at right now!

Pairing: Steve/Dustin
Summary: in which Dustin doesn’t know when to stop bickering until he hits a nerve. Steve finally decides to put him in line as a fair warning.
Word count: 1,149
DO NOT tag as ship.
Tumblr media
“All my quarters. Gone, just like that. For nothing.”
“Dude, I could’ve destroyed that guy if I was given another chance. I had a feeling.” Steve argued, closing the front door behind him.
“You said that like fifty times! You were stuck on round 3 for god knows how long.” Dustin yelled from across the living room, sliding down on the couch defeatedly.
Steve took a Orange Fanta soda can from the fridge, leaning against the kitchen counter while taking multiple sips. “Maybe Ryu just sucks. I should’ve picked a different character, huh?”
Dustin sighed. “Or maybe you just suck.”
Inviting Steve to the arcade to play the newly released game, Street Fighter, sounded like a nice idea to hangout this morning to Dustin, since Mike and Lucas weren’t free to get ahold of. If only Dustin knew Steve would blow off all his saved up quarters to be stuck on round 3, struggling to the core with every hard toggle on the joystick, he wouldn’t have a problem to go by himself instead.
“Don’t act like you weren’t struggling to get past round 3 either.” Steve shot back, eyeing him from the kitchen.
“How do you suck at fighting in real life and in video games?” Dustin muttered for him to only hear, but apparently it wasn’t quiet enough.
“What was that?” Steve set his soda aside, starting to make his way towards the boy. This caused Dustin to sit up straight, feeling a little alarmed but that didn’t stop his next bold response.
“You. Can’t. Fight.”
“Okay, y’know what? Get up.”
Dustin happily got on his feet, crossing his arms while giving Steve a wide smug smile to irritate him more. Dustin knows how easily Steve gets riled up, over the smallest comments than anything. Whether it’s about his hair, his slight ego, or his horrible pickup lines towards girls, he’ll give you the blowup reaction you were earning for.
“Me, you, let’s go.” Steve got himself into a pounce-like position, looking ridiculous to Dustin.
Dustin scoffs out a laugh, but wiped his smile away when Steve barely budged. “You’re serious?”
Steve’s next move answered Dustin’s question pretty quick.
Arms wrapped around the boy’s torso, attempting to knock him over on the couch. Dustin lets out a surprise shriek, not letting it happen by pushing back. They circled around, foreheads bumping every few seconds. The goal of this mini fight was obvious. Whoever lands on the ground first, has lost.
Dustin felt himself sliding on the wooden tile, knees almost touching the ground. Of course, he couldn’t let that happen. Especially if he’s up against Steve. The sort of pride that man would gain would be something he would never hear the end of.
In order to flip the tables, Dustin hooked his leg behind Steve’s left leg, making him lose footing in hopes he goes tumbling down on the ground. Unfortunately, the plan went south. They both landed on the ground with a thud, taking a few seconds to themselves to let out a few pained grunts.
Their stilled movements came to a end, both trying to stand up faster than the other. In the middle of it all, Steve’s hand were placed firmly on Dustin’s shoulder to give himself a little push in standing up. A squeak shoved away all the rumbling noises, Steve automatically knowing he accidentally brushed his fingers on the boy’s neck.
Getting up was suddenly Steve’s last priority as of right now.
Steve sat on top of Dustin’s flailing legs, fetching for a wrist in the process. Dustin isn’t stupid, he knows exactly where this is headed. The amount of times Steve tickled him senseless because he needed to “watch his tone”, Steve’s words, should’ve been enough for Dustin to start biting his tongue. Unfortunately, it didn’t. Some would blame Dustin’s secret mini enjoyment of tickling, but he would deny it until the day he dies.
“Get off! You’re heavy!” Dustin wailed while weakly hitting Steve’s chest with one free arm, but it immediately went down when there was a tweak of his side. The tweak instantly turned into fast scribbling, reveling in Dustin’s snorts that never fails to make the people around him laugh when hearing them.
“Three…” Steve began the countdown, the scribbling to Dustin’s sides never slowing their pace. Once Steve reaches to one with Dustin still on the floor, he will walk home tonight in victory. Of course, Dustin has the chance to worm a hand at Steve’s stomach which will result in the man crumbling down in a heap of giggles, leading Dustin in the path of winning this hilarious fight instead.
Although, would Steve play fair and let him have the strength to do that? No, no he would not.
“Two…” Steve slid his hands higher up, now playing his ribs like a piano. Ears picking up on soft thuds behind him, seeing Dustin digging his heels on the floor to try and buck Steve off. Took only a third attempt to realize that plan isn’t gonna work anytime soon.
Dustin tried to sneakily worm his hand towards Steve’s leg, aiming to pinch rapidly on the man’s thigh. It took Steve not even a second to catch on and immediately go in for the kill before Dustin managed to flip the tables successfully and go all merciless on his ass.
“One!” Steve’s last destination was Dustin’s stomach, the spot that nails in the coffin. Every scribble, squeeze, and digging got Dustin’s snort filled laughs come to an end. When silence filled the air, Steve halted his movements and took a stand.
“Your stomach never fails to shut you up.” Steve said while smiling down at Dustin’s breathless state. Targeting Dustin’s stomach doesn’t reward you giggles for three minutes, more like five seconds. Then, it goes straight to silent laughter. That little knowledge comes in handy, if you ask Steve.
“Yohou…cheated..” Dustin told between breaths, making his way to lay down on the couch to heal from the brutal attack. Steve rolled his eyes, but does know damn well he did, in fact, cheat. He would defend himself by saying if anybody found out their opponent is deathly ticklish, you couldn’t help but get your hands curious. Especially if it results in giving you an extra helping hand in winning.
“Hey Steve, can I tell you something?” Dustin asks, tugging Steve’s sleeve to get him to kneel down so he can whisper in his ear. Although it was just the two of them in the house, Steve complied.
“You still suck in fighting.”
Dustin will never learn. Steve’s aware, but why still tackle him down on the couch and tickle him to pieces yet again? Maybe because Steve is also aware that Dustin, despite the fact he likes to be a pain in the ass on purpose, enjoys the bonding affection he’ll never blatantly admit to.

Can't stop thinking of Boyfriend by Dove Cameron when thinking about Byergrove [because of Stonathan]:
Headcanon for Byergrove: Just to be clear, I LOVE Stonathan and always will. It was my first ST ship and it is my favorite one and I love Steve, so don't take offense to this; in certain parts I'm only trying to get into Billy's mindset and show his perspective on it, its not my own personal opinion about Steve.
Jonathan and Billy meet when Max and Will become close. Max feels alone and like an outsider in her own friend group and Will feels the same way, so when Max realizes, she quickly connects with Will and they become besties [and El is included in their best friend group of course].
Billy and Jonathan both had abusive dads and would understand what the other is going through. Billy would finally feel like he could connect to someone and would appreciate Jonathan's existance alone. While Jonathan would finally have a friend who understands and appreciates him [which Jonathan really needs considering he is hated by most people in Hawkins just for being a Byers]. Since Jonathan is wiser and has been overcoming that abuse all on his own, he'd be the one helping Billy through his, not the other way around, but its ok because he likes feeling needed and wanted.
Jonathan would give Billy one of his famous speeches and instantly get through to him in a way no one else has before and Billy would keep coming back for more speeches, not entirely sure why.
Jonathan would show Billy how to be a supportive older brother to Max like how he is to Will whether he actually shows him how or Billy sees Jonathan and Will together and how they interact and changes how things are between him and Max. Jonathan inspires Billy to be better. If Jonathan was abused and can be a great big brother to his younger sibling than why can't he? Jonathan makes him a better person.
Billy continues his rivalry with Steve by going after Jonathan/flirting with him all the time especially when Steve is around. He automatically scoffs when he learns that Jonathan is dating someone like Steve Harrington of all people when Jonathan could be with someone much better: him [obviously]. Steve couldn't possibly understand Jonathan or protect him from people [Billy would know] and before they got together, Steve had been bullying him for the last decade. Billy never bullied Jonathan for years like Steve had, so he'd instantly be one up on Steve. Plus, Billy knows hes better looking and superior to Steve in every conceivable way.
When Billy finally meets Jonathan, he is kind of surprised. Hes heard a lot about Jonathan from around school and especially from Tommy H., but Jonathan isn't anything like they said he was. It was a lot of insults and badmouthing coming from their classmates, but from Billy's perspective Jonathan was the only worthwhile person in this shitty town besides Karen and he knew Jonathan would thrive in a place like California which was better than Hawkins in every way. Jonathan had no filter, he used dark humour, and was sarcastic as hell and Billy liked that. Jonathan was the only person who could genuinely make him laugh. Jonathan was fun to talk to and hang out with. Billy decided Jonathan not having any friends wasn't because of the reasons that Tommy H claimed, but it was due to the fact that the people in Hawkins are just a bunch of shitheads and wouldn't know something good if it smacked them right in the face.
He still talks to Karen Wheeler [for one reason or another] When Jonathan's name is brought up, Karen makes it clear that she absolutely adores Jonathan. When she tells Billy about Jonathan she sings his praises and Billy trusts Karen's judgement a lot more than what the rest of Hawkins has been saying. Billy sees the good in Jonathan that hardly anyone else does and knows Jonathan is too good for Hawkins and finds it laughable that the people of Hawkins think about it the other way around.
Jonathan and Billy bond over sharing their love of music together and they get a lot closer while babysitting Will, El, and Max together because they are a handful. El with her powers and Will with his sass and Max just being a badass in general.
Billy will openly flirt with Jonathan whenever he sees him no matter who is around and that includes Steve.
Billy reminds Steve often enough that the moment he trips up and messes things up with Jonathan [like goes back to Nancy and leaves Jonathan behind] that he'll be there waiting to take Jonathan off his hands.
Billy is overly protective of Jonathan and would kick Lonnie's ass when he came around Jonathan or any of his family again.
Billy NEEDS someone who will worship and praise him in bed, which Jonathan happily does without being told or asked.
When he takes Jonathan's shirt off and sees the scars and Jonathan just says 'Lonnie' dismissively and in explaination of where they came from, Billy makes sure to kiss every scar as if to heal them.
Billy really loves certain things about Jonathan like how he gives these inspiring speeches about morality and the importance of love. He loves that Jonathan will cover his mouth with his hand while hes laughing softly about something. But the thing he especially especially loves about Jonathan is that hes full of surprises like the fact that Jonathan has a long list of kinks, will beg him to do stuff to him in bed, and asks for Billy to tie him to the bed.
Billy is the dominant/top and is very protective of Jonathan and doesn't think anyone else is worthy of being with Jonathan except for him because well…Billy Hargrove knows hes amazing and hes the only one great enough to be worthy of Jonathan Byers.

how they react when you walk in covered in blood and carrying a gun ~ mcu
request?: no
warnings: swearing, mentions of guns and violence
masterlist (one, two)
*only using the og six plus bucky, wanda and loki because there’s way too many marvel characters rn; also based off of a tiktok by anniedvorak!*
Tumblr media
BRUCE BANNER/HULK:
The last person you expected to see when you entered Thor’s room on Sakaar with the intentions of saving him was your boyfriend, Bruce. He had been lost for so long, you had let your heart let go of him. But there he was, stood with a cloth wrapped around his waist after having turned back from the Hulk.
You were tempted to walk back out. This wasn’t exactly how you wanted Bruce to see you - an alien gun in hand and blood splattered over your face and clothes. But it was too late, he was already looking at you with wide eyes.
“(Y/N),” he said, turning to approach you but stopping halfway. You weren’t sure if he had stopped because of the blood or because he was still technically naked. “What are you...what did you...?”
“I’m trying to save Thor,” you responded. “Listen, we don’t have much time. I can explain everything once all of us are off of this planet. Put some pants on, we’re getting out of here.”
~~~~~~
BUCKY BARNES/THE WINTER SOLDIER:
You walked in after a surprise run in with the Flag Smashers. Bucky already looked about ready to kill someone, but when you walked through the door of Zemo’s apartment, blood covering your face and your gun clutched tightly in your hand, his face turned red with anger.
“What the hell happened to you?” Sam asked.
“Flag Smashers,” you breathed in response.
“I’m gonna fucking kill them,” Bucky hissed, abandoning his drink on the counter and making his way to the door.
You put a hand up to stop him. “I think that ship has sailed. This isn’t all my blood.”
Bucky cupped your face in his hands, his face softening as he looked at you. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” you insisted. “I just need a shower, and maybe a visit to a hospital or something. They hit me pretty hard, I think I have some bruised ribs or something.”
He kissed your forehead and took your gun from your still shaking hands. Once it was safely put aside, he brought you into the bathroom to help you bathe and to start dressing your wounds.
~~~~~~
CLINT BARTON/HAWEYE:
You were extremely lucky that Clint worked with someone like Natasha regularly, or else he would’ve been much more concerned when you arrived home from work covered in blood and still carrying you gun. He barley looked up from the TV as you walked through the door, immediately racing for your bedroom so you could shower and change.
“Hard day at work?” he called as you passed by.
“That last target they sent me after put up a hell of a fight,” you responded. “By the time I finally got him, I realized how late it was and rushed home immediately. I’m glad S.H.I.E.L.D issues those SUVs with the tinted windows or else I definitely would’ve been pulled over for suspicious activity.”
Clint chuckled and rose from his seat. He walked into your shared bedroom as you were pulling off you bloodstained clothes and throwing them into a pile to be tossed out eventually. His eyes raked over your body as you looked up at him.
“Red looks good on you,” he said, a teasing smirk pulling at his lips.
“That’s gross,” you teased. “You’re gross. Just for that, you can’t shower with me.”
He groaned as you walked into the bathroom and locked the door before he could follow you in.
~~~~~~
LOKI:
The sly smirk on Loki’s face was enough to almost rid you of the annoyance you felt after what you just had to do. Almost.
You walked up to the panel that controlled his glass cage. You could’ve easily figured out how to deal with it, but instead you shot the control panel. Sparks flew from it before Loki’s prison sprung open.
“Seems like a bit of overkill,” he commented.
“Shut it,” you hissed. “You told me it was going to be easy to break you out. You failed to mention the entire team of guards that were watching this room, and, oh yeah, the team of super humans that were assembled to face you?!”
Loki walked free of his cage, taking a dramatic deep breath before smiling to himself. “Well, doesn’t seem like you had an issue with them, as I knew you wouldn’t.”
He approached you, arms out as if he were going to hug you and try to kiss you. You poked his stomach with the barrel of your gun, glaring up at him.
“Come one step closer and we see how much damage a mortal weapon can do to a God.”
Loki put his hands on your shoulders, keeping you a fair distance away to heed your warning. “I’m sorry for not giving you a proper warning. Thank you for freeing me, I do appreciate it.”
You allowed yourself to relax against his touch and smiled a little. “You’re welcome.”
“Now, let’s get out of here, shall we?”
“You’re doing all the work this time.”
~~~~~~
NATASHA ROMANOFF/BLACK WIDOW:
It probably wasn’t a good idea, but you didn’t know where else to go. Natasha had always warned you about the Red Room, and you were so stupid to not listen to her.
Now you were stood on her doorstep, covered in blood that wasn’t yours, your gun dangling from your hand as you wished to drop it but also too scared to let it go. It was what Natasha looked at first when she opened the door - the gun, then to your blood covered face.
“Put the gun down,” she said, her voice calmer than you expected.
You gratefully allowed her to take it from your hand as you felt tears starting to well in your eyes. She pulled you in for a hug, where you started to sob on her shoulder. She took a quick look around to make sure you weren’t followed before bringing you into her house.
“Go get cleaned up,” she told you. “We’ll figure out your next step together.”
~~~~~~
STEVE ROGERS/CAPTAIN AMERICA:
You showed up to Sam’s shortly after Steve had brought Natasha. You could barley keep yourself up, the fight had taken everything out of you. You were sure Sam was going to turn you away - you were a stranger showing up on his doorstep covered in blood with a gun in your hand. You were pleasantly shocked when he stepped aside and told you where to find Steve.
Poor Steve. He was already trying to help Natasha, who had been in the same situation as you just with a lot less blood. She was resting when you walked in, dazed and just wanting to also rest.
He was up in seconds, reaching out to wrap you in his arms despite the blood covering you.
“The Winter Soldier is one mean fucker,” you breathed, resting your head against Steve’s chest. “I think he finally got wore out and ran off. Unfortunately, I was wore out about an hour before he was, but I kept going.”
“You should’ve given up long ago, honey,” he said.
“I’m not a pussy,” you said with a slight laugh. “Although I am starting to succumb to the pain.”
He picked you up into his arms and carried you to the bathroom where he helped you to rinse the blood off of your body so you could finally rest.
~~~~~~
THOR:
It was a side of you that Thor had never seen before. He had lost you during the battle in Sokovia and was expecting the worst when he couldn’t get you over the coms. When you showed back up to jet, blood covering your tired looking face, he was overjoyed to see you were alright, but also a little shocked by your appearance.
“Those fuckers really thought they had me,” you said, a half laugh bubbling on your lips. “They were a little shocked when I got the upper hand on them. Even more shocked when I shot them dead.”
“I was worried for you, (Y/N),” Thor said, cupping your face in his hands as he approached you. “I truly thought they had taken you from me.”
You smirked up at him. “You really have no faith in me at all them, do you? Or you just underestimate me. I’m a little offended on both accounts, though.”
Thor smiled back at you. “Of course, I would never doubt you. Just a bit of fear is all.”
“When you two are done being gross,” came Tony’s voice from inside the jet, “we’d like to get back to the tower. I think (Y/N) needs a shower and a fresh change of clothes more than anything.”
~~~~~~
TONY STARK/IRON MAN:
“Miss (Y/L/N) incoming Mr. Stark.”
“Tell her to come back at another time, J.A.R.V.I.S, I’m busy right now.”
“I don’t think it can wait, sir.”
Tony looked up to see you walking through the door to his lab, your body trembling as you clutched the gun tightly in your hand. There was a splatter of blood over your shirt and some on your face. You looked up at him, looking like a helpless child.
He quickly walked over to you, his hand automatically reaching for the gun. You gladly let him take it, feeling like a weight had been lifted the moment the weapon was out of your hands.
“What happened?” he asked.
“I-I was attacked at-at home,” you stuttered. “I don’t know how they got in, I don’t know who they were. I walked into my house and was blindsided by these two men trying to attack me. I got the gun out of the hands of one of them and I...I...”
Your hands moved to mimic the action of shooting your attackers, but you couldn’t actually bring yourself to say you had done it. You didn’t want to admit to having shot anyone, even if it was in self defense.
Tony placed the gun aside and took you into his arms. You stopped fighting against the lump that had formed in your throat and began to sob into his chest. He ran a hand through your hair, calming you down.
“It’s okay,” he said, soothingly. “It’s alright. I got you now. I won’t let anyone else try to hurt you.”
~~~~~~
WANDA MAXIMOFF/SCARLETT WITCH:
You didn’t think of Tommy and Billy. You didn’t think about the perfect neighborhood Wanda had created. You didn’t even think about Vision, or the version of Vision she had created. Your only thoughts were getting to Wanda before Hayward and his people could.
She was horrified when she opened the door. Of course she was; you were stood at her doorstep, a ghost from the life she wanted to forget, holding a gun with blood splattered on your face.
“You have to get out of here,” you said before she could speak. “You have to break down that boarder and you need to get out of here now.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” she said, her voice still in its sitcom mode. “Please leave before I call the police.”
You grabbed hold of her shoulders before she could walk away, startling her.
“Wanda, you have to listen to me. You know what’s happening here because you are controlling it all. I know that, everyone outside the Hex knows that. Including the S.W.O.R.D director Hayward, who is trying to break through your barrier right now to kill you. I know you don’t want to lose this perfect life you’ve made, but your are in real danger. You need to get out of here.”
It seemed like she was understanding. A hurt look passed over her face as she turned to look into the house where her perfect family was likely residing. She took a deep breath and turned back to you.
“Let’s go.”

I have to agree with you, I personally enjoy Steddie but the shippers have this holier-than-thou attitude. They constantly shit on ships like Hellcheer and Harringrove and say how Steddie is superior and more morally right or better representation or something (insert any 'Steddie is superior' weird takes here). Of course it is natural for you to believe that your ship is the Best Ship Ever, but it is kinda weird to act this holier-than-thou and just invading other fan spaces to shit on other ships, and blaming or shaming people for enjoying things.
And yeah, any shipper can act this way, however, I've seen this sort of attitude from Steddie shippers the most. They claim that Hellcheer is not superior because Hellcheers do not have certain takes and headcanons about Eddie apparently, and that Steddie is superior because it is mlm and that Eddie is (in headcanon) gay and is more relatable that way or something. And they do shit on Harringrove/Harringroves because Billy was not a good representation apparently because he was bad and abusive, so shipping him with Steve is not morally right as shipping Eddie with Steve so automatically Steddie is superior.
They also have the tendency to be very weird about Joe and they attack actors like Grace just because Grace supported Hellcheer, but they ignore that Joe also made comments about Hellcheer and Eddie potentially having a crush on Chrissy and specifically mentioned that the writers and him made the decision to show their dynamic more.
The whole fandom is a hot mess and I think people are so hell bent on just being hateful to anything they don't find comforting or something they personally enjoy so they assume it's bad and make it everyone else's problem.
This has become more and more of a problem over the last few years because ship wars were a thing before of course, but never like this, never genuinely hateful and if there WAS people like that? They were the weirdos who took shit too seriously.

Hi!! My names Miko, but you can call me sleepy if you want!!
This is going to be the pinned post on my blog for a quick rundown about me, and all of my hyperfixations. Including games, characters, shows, etc.
This will of course be added to over time as well, due to new hyperfixations/things I wanna put here. It may also be added to over time if I forgot to put something here initially as well.
Alright. I’m a tiny and am newer to the g/t community, but not g/t in general. I first discovered the g/t community back in early 2021 but I’ve had g/t as a comfort thought since I was real little. Like really little. I’m fine with NSFW g/t but NOT vore at all.
I don’t necessarily have a favorite piece of g/t media, as I enjoy thinking about my OC more, but if I had to choose it’d probably be the episode of Daa Daa Daa where Miyu shrinks.
Before I get into my hyperfixations, I want to talk about my OC. You aren’t gonna see anything about her for a very long time. She’s my only OC, and has been for years, and I love her a lot. There are a lot of features and cliche things about her that I’m sure people would pick at, and I like not having that influence when I think of her.
So for now no OC content other than her name is Lucy, her birthday is July 2nd, and she technically doesn’t have a canon universe she’s in. Although there is one I’d say is a smidge away from being her canon universe, but I still stick her in other universes.
Characters:
I’m starting with characters I’m hyperfixated with because I think that’s the longest so why not.
Hawks: I don’t know how long I’ve been hyperfixated with him but it’s been loooong. He’s my favorite anime character, favorite character, favorite everything. Because of this though, I would actually appreciate no MHA content at all. I’m so hyperfixated with him to the point that sometimes I get sick to my stomach seeing other people talk about him or MHA. In a good way, but that doesn’t make it fun. I obviously can’t stop seeing it, and when I do post OC content, Hawks content will literally be there as well, but just a thing to keep in mind.
Denki Kaminari: Not really sure what to say about him but I love him.
Leon and Ada: Figured I’d put them together because I ship them (don’t hurt me) and I love both of them. Leon is definitely in my top ten characters (Hawks is #1 for reference) and Ada is Ada. How can you not love her.
Jill and Carlos: ^^^^ same thing. Love them both. Ship them. They’re literally both marriage material.
Claire: Don’t ship her with Leon but I love her.
Takumi Usui: Literally just a giant top. First thing I think when I see him is TOP. Also I’m so Misa (minus the tsundere stuff) with him.
Chai from Hi-Fi Rush: He wijdbdkwjwjwjsndkwidnfwm he’s so cute i love him sm. he baby.
Goro Akechi: Same VA as Chai. I don’t know how to do this without spoilers but Royal Akechi is my favorite.
Ryuji Sakamoto: Literally best Persona character. I love him so f much. He’s on my top ten characters.
Futaba and Sumi: Tied as best girls (love sumi a lil more tho) because I personally embody Futaba but Sumi is a precious bb.
Faith Seed: hOLY SHIT I LOVE HER. VERY HIGH UP on my top ten. She’s literally why I like white laced dresses so much. Obviously ignoring the illegal shit she did. BUT MY GOD I LOVE HER MORE THAN I CAN DESCRIBE.
Luke from TWDG: LOVE HIM LOVE HIM LOVE HIM LOVE HIM. He deserves the world and everything, and literally just everything in the world. (very good gentle giant for a tiny)
Steve Harrington: tHE CRUSH I HAD ON JOE KEERY OMGOMGOMG. HIS HAIR.
Chell from Portal: I know I know, she’s silent, and in a way, has zero personality, but I love her. Specifically her outfit in Portal 2.
Monika from DDLC: My precious bb. That’s all I have to say.
Spider-man: Any spider-man. Literally the only superhero I care about at all.
Vanessa from FNAF: TOP TEN TOP TEN. My OC came before her, which is why her looking incredibly similar to my OC automatically made me love her, and now I actually love her sfm.
Lucy Heartfilia: Could say my OC got her name from her, will get further into Fairy Tail things later.
Gray Fullbuster: Loved him since his first line ever. I don’t wanna spoil it if you’ve never watched Fairy Tail, so if you’re actually reading this, I’ll let you do that yourself.
Nonon Jakuzure: Love her so so much, which leads to the next character as well.
Viridi from Kid Icarus: ^^^^^
Sonic: Mostly Sonic from Sonic Boom.
Melia from Xenoblade: POOR BB
This is it for characters. This will probably be added to because I forgot some.
Games are next! From here on out, there probably won’t be descriptions.
Kid Icarus: Uprising
The Walking Dead Games
Resident Evil: 2, 3, and 4 remakes (yes i know i’m a remake enjoyer, but i never really resonated with the originals)
Hi-Fi Rush
Persona 5 Royal
Far Cry 5
Xenoblade (the first one)
Will add more as needed.
Shows!
MHA
Maid Sama
Fairy Tail
Kill la Kill
Charlotte
Will add more as needed!
For now I believe this is fine!!! Questions you have for me are ok, but eventually I’ll add answers to more common questions on here!

I don't even see it as us focusing on Steve, we are focusing really on Robin, who focuses on Steve. The problem with R//ance is that Robin is so passive in that relationship, she's used as a prop for character development so the canonically straight girl is saved from men. Robin isn't seen as her own character in that relationship. All the things ppl say about R//nance, like both girls are just lonely and nobody gets them, isn't really a thing for Robin because she already has someone who gets her. But that relationship isn't romantic so it's automatically seen as less valuable. It's so unfair of people to accuse us of not understanding Robin when most R//ancers are Steve haters or at least not fond of him so they take Stobin out of the equation. Irl Robin herself would make this whole thing about Steve because he is her bestie who is in the center of it. It's true Steve doesn't own Robin, she can do what she wants but Robin isn't someone who would hurt Steve especially because she loves him so much. Steve doesn't own Nancy, and I don't get why people think Nancy would give a shit about Steve to begin with. It still would be alright for him to be hurt in that situation, if Nancy feels bad or not is her decision, but Steve is his own character who's allowed to feel upset. Making him a cheerleader so ppl don't have to deal with the mess that actually is R//ance reduces all characters complexities and is simply boring. Your ship isn't perfect, no ship is because the people in it don't exist in a vaccum and certain relationships have negative effects on other characters. I swear if the roles were reversed and Steve were to date Nancy's bff/platonic soulmate, a lot of people would make Nancy feel upset about it.
ohhhh i love that first line because YES!!! we are focusing on robin as she focuses on steve. also robin canonically brings steve into all of her romantic relationships ( tammy in high school which starts her hate/fixation on steve , then with vickie where she tells him everything) like i cannot see her willingly be able to do that with nancy at all because of all the complications. YES YES YES! robin is legit used as a prop i. her own ship - hell the way that ronance happened was by using robin as a prop. yeah like that really isn’t a thing for robin at all where she’s lonely and etc because she has steve. yep because stobin isn’t romantic it’s seen as less valuable which there was a big turn in fandom though where they used to be an important part and people would constantly write fics about them (i wasn’t really involved with fandom at the time but even just looking back at ao3 there were a lot of fics coming out of them being friends) however when season 4 came out everyone flipped on them sooo bad to the point where you have to dig to find stobin content.
legit season 4 was a massive change i. the fandom where friends couldn’t be friends anymore and romance is always highly valued. legit robin wouldn’t hurt steve! of course she’s her own person but what in canon gives away the fact that she would choose romance over friendship?!? she just wouldn’t!!! and yeah about that nancy giving a shit about steve cuz you’re so right ! god i hate how steve is just reduced to a cheerleader for ronance like it’s just gah!!!!! they just want to sweep all the messiness under the rug so when you say that steve would feel human emotions apparently that’s too much or inconsiderate or etc. like what?!? naturally you would feel upset that your bestie who also tried to wingwoman you in season 4 WITH NANCY apparently he can’t feel betrayal or hurt or like any human emotions because everyone wants steve to be a robot.
oh people absolutely would make nancy feel upset about it but because it’s steve and people hate steve again - they want to make him into a robot

And now anti Tony people are blaming him for letting Sam’s family being in financial trouble wtf the man is dead! Let him rest!
Yeah, I saw.
They’re definitely going to keep doing that, gotta say, the MCU never failed with Tony's character, they created circumstances for him exactly just like Stan envisioned. The ‘love-to-hate’ trope is strong when it comes to him, this is what Stan wanted out of Tony Stark's relationship with his fans/audience. Thing is, the reality of the MCU superhero is that they’re all flawed. None of them are exempt from anything. Why Tony gets more hate than the others?
He’s the most popular character. There’s no discussion in this instance. Popular superheroes that first come to people’s minds are always Batman, Iron Man and Spider-Man. Tony Stark/Iron Man is a pop culture legend and the fact that RDJ got to portray him as great as he did, helped a lot. People are always going to circle back to the character who has more hype and audience.
He’s the one with the money. The fact that Tony is swimming in money automatically makes him the target of the ‘eat the rich’ mentality. People fail to remember that other characters such as T’Challa (who has more money than Tony would ever wish to see and lives in the most technologically advanced country in the world), Shuri, Thor (a literal king with a kingdom), The Pym family, Danny Rand (he has a net worth of $5 billion and is one of the richest comic book characters of all time), etc exist. And we still haven’t seen the other Marvel characters (in the MCU) that are richer than Tony like Reed Richards, Professor X, Warren Worthington, Norman Osborn, Namor, Doctor Doom, etc.
Even if some of us see RDJ as attractive and good looking, some people don’t. For them, RDJ is nothing compared to Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Sebastian Stan, etc. It’s easier to hate a character you don’t find attractive. And also the fact that they find those actors relatively younger than RDJ.
It’s the most shippable character. This also means he must be in the way of some other ships. Even if this sounds unbelievable, many people don’t get their irrational hate for a character until it dawns on them that they only hate him because he either treated one half of their ship unfairly or because he’s in the way of that ship. The more reasons they can find to hate him, the more legitimate their senseless hatred seems in their minds.
People don’t call out characters like T’Challa or Shuri because they’re scared of being called ‘racist’. T’Challa is so rich that Howard Stark could only buy (just an assumption, it’s a possibility he stole the vibranium lmao) only a portion of vibranium to build Steve’s shield, and because is the world’s most indestructible material, his worth is approximately $10,000 a gram (Fantastic Four #607) and Wakanda's vaults hold 10,000 tons of the material (Doomwar #1) T’Challa is not a billionaire, he’s a trillionaire lmaoooo everyone else is a joke compared to him.
Even having all of this info, Tony and T’Challa owe nothing to anyone.
T’Challa helped Bucky because of his principles (Tony offered to do this at the beginning as well until of course, he found out he killed his parents) but because of that, that doesn't mean T’Challa owes Steve, Sam, Wanda, and Natasha money or housing assistance. He didn't give it to them at all and he doesn’t have to.
James Rhodes: Well. You guys really look like crap. Must've been a rough couple of years.
Sam Wilson: Yeah, well, the hotels weren't exactly five star.
Wanna know why? Because T’Challa knows they’re adults and they make their own decisions. Sam chose to be on Steve’s side, Wanda did too, Natasha too, etc. Adults make decisions and they should deal with the consequences that come with that. Tony was not going to deal with their financial problems because they made a choice and it’s not his problem to deal with. Tony is not their father. People need to ask themselves why Sam was not in the ‘lift the hammer’ scene after the party, because he wasn’t familiar with them, he wasn’t friends with Tony, only with Steve. Besides that fact, they all fought Tony, hurt his best friend, and left him to deal with the rest in CW. They’re not family.
Sam Wilson: No, I'm not actually sorry. I'm just trying to sound tough. I'm very happy chasing cold leads on our missing persons case. Avenging is your world. Your world is crazy. Steve Rogers: Be it ever so humble. Sam Wilson: You find a place in Brooklyn yet? Steve Rogers: I don't think I can afford a place in Brooklyn. Sam Wilson: Well, home is home, you know?
There’s absolutely no reason Steve can’t afford a place. He’s an adult, he has a good reputation, he worked for shield (why aren’t yall on Nick Fury’s ass if he had Steve and the others as employees? Fury set an entire place for Clint, why can’t he do it for the rest of them, he is the founder of the Avengers after all), and was pretty much capable of doing stuff for others. Tony provided them with a home while they were working together, he doesn’t need to concern himself with their personal problems because they’re not actual friends. Rhodey is his friend. Happy is his friend. Also consider the fact that maybe Sam didn’t want his help?
And let’s also take into consideration that Tony is not only an Avenger, but Tony is also a businessman, an inventor, an engineer, has a company to keep an eye on, he is the one who finances the Avengers’ messes and other superhero messes too by co-owning the department of damage control, etc. He has other things to do. The rest of the Avengers are adults too, they should seek a job that could give them a future too, not just depend on Tony’s money. Tony had a family and he had to make sure they were covered after his death, this includes, Pepper (his wife, therefore she gets his stuff), Peter (his son, he left him EDITH, he’s basically set for life with that given the A.I. has access to the majority of his things including bank accounts), Morgan (his daughter; his responsibility), Happy and Rhodey (I’m sure we’ll see what he left them in Armor Wars). Why? They’re his actual family.
If some of you know this and you’re still looking for reasons to put the blame on him, you’re failing to recognize you’re obsessed with hating Tony just for the sake of being right. Wouldn’t you like a life where you don’t have to constantly look for reasons to hate on a fictional character, better yet, a character you don’t like at all. Why the effort? You can love Tony and Sam at the same time, I promise you, this is not going to kill you.
So please, instead of whining about Tony Stark all the time, why don’t yall just enjoy the fact that the show is showing you a vital and important event that happens in life while representing a part of Sam’s life to add to his emotional depth and character development? Especially because he’s a superhero and possibly the next Captain America, it’s good to see someone who is supposed to be a figure (superhero) whose actions or achievements are far greater than what people expect deal with normal things. They’re giving you a background; a solid storyline for his character. Let it be. Enjoy the shows yall, you can’t keep coming back to blame Tony for everything that happens after every single movie or Disney+ show, look for another metaphorical punching bag. The man is dead.
