Criss Cross Headcanons

• He found out that milk comes from cows after he saw a milk carton that had a picture of a cow on it.

• He usually runs to Epic if his best bruh is nearby and he sees a cow.

• He hides chocolate EVERYWHERE. In couch cushions, tree hallows, cabinets, under his bed, in the fridge, in Nightmare's super-secret drawer with the golden crown that wasn't supposed to be known about-- nowhere is safe from Cross's chocolate infestation.

• He has threatened to kill both Killer and Error multiple times due to them stealing his chocolate. He actually did almost go through with killing Killer, but Nightmare stopped him in time.

• After almost three months of staying with the Bad/Dark Sanses, Dream had confronted him to try to change his mind. Dream had been so pushy, and Nightmare had been so possessive, that the twins had overwhelmed him enough to chase him away entirely.

• He's staying with Epic in order to hide from the Apple Twins, of whom he really doesn't want to see either of.

• He has to hide his jacket whenever he's not wearing it, otherwise he risks it being stolen by Epic.

• Back when he used to stay with that Dark Sanses, they also repeatedly stole his jacket. Apparently the fluffiness and chocolaty smell of it was addicting enough.

• He loves cuddles, but only with people he's close with. <3

• He's an awkward and somewhat shy bean.

• He tries to be all stoic and more serious, but he fails miserably.

• He loves collecting small, odd trinkets. Doesn't matter what it is, if it's remotely interesting and can fit in a pocket, he'll want it.

For funsies, I will not include coffee, tea, colorful things, sea creatures, or beatrix on this post because those are givens and I go on and on and on about how much I love those all the time.

LET'S BOOM-DE-YADDA THIS THING I LIKE @mercurialmalcontent! They make me incredibly happy. Their fiction makes me happy, their thoughts on books and videogames make me happy, their face makes me happy, the way they think makes me happy. The things they like about me are things I wouldn't realize about myself in a billion years, it's always a delight to see what they'll think next. Also if you've read something of mine and really liked it, it's very likely that it's because they edited it; they are *so* good at thinking up things that make a story go from mostly decent to FREAKIN' EPIC.

I LIKE WHEN VIDEOGAMES LET YOU MAKE REALLY AMAZING CHARACTERS. One of my favorite things about baldur's gate 3 is that there's so much you can do with with your character creatively--I have been devouring all sorts of wonderful stories and comics and designs and concepts. FFXIV has some amazing warrior of lights too--the sheer amount of lore and history and headcanons floating around are just amazing.

I LIKE WHEN VIDEO GAMES HAVE REALLY COOL MONSTERS. These are the creatures that instantly make me go, "IT'S MY BABIES, MY BABIES ARE HERE." Often these are monsters that I want nothing more than to adopt. The Endermen from Minecraft have stolen my heart and are likely taking turns carrying it around like a grass block. In FFXIV there is an entire family of mandragora plant monsters with their own pasts and hilariously dramatic stories. Secret World Legends has humanoid Familiars that toddle around a school making wheezy screechy sounds and I love them. Baldur's gate 3 has these Silent Hill-esque nurses that I want to put somewhere safe and care for. Same goes for the Noonwraiths and the Spoon Wight from Witcher 3.

I REALLY LIKE HORROR STORIES SET IN CREEPY HOUSES. Does the house have a curse? Is something in the attic? Is something in the basement? Is it full of ghosts? Is it full of memories? Does the house exist in different universes? Is it stuck forever in time because all the clocks stopped when That Bad Day Happened? Is the house conscious and aware of the people inside it? Does it magically grow hallways and stairways and new rooms until the people inside are hopelessly lost? GIMMIE.

I LIKE FOOD IN JARS. Yeeeah it's kinda silly, but I do. Storing dry beans or lentils or pasta in them and tucking them safe in the cupboard like I'm a little squirrel. Making quick pickles where everything looks like a cute edible snowglobe. Storing freshly washed fruit in jars. (Really, soak in water and white vinegar for a bit, pat them dry, and stick'em in a jar, your strawberries and stuff will last longer!)

hiya mod 👋👋 i just wanna say your lance backstory is SO lit and i’m totally putting that in my headcanon basket!!!!! there is no need to be ashamed you are a LEGEND in my mind for giving him such an epic and sordid tale of origin 🛐🛐🛐

also i personally feel like i am Connecting The Two Dots now that you have planted that seed into my mind bc i always had this headcanon that lance was one of those characters who grew up to be really strong and badass as an adult, but was kind of a weak, sickly little dratini as a child 🥺 i just really love the trope in fiction of “entire village collectively raises a baby” and with that awesome origin story in mind it feels complete because being a war orphan born in a wildfire would naturally leave a kid with some health complications!! (also lance would be the cutest little smol bean as a kid i just know he would)

First off, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I just let my mind go CRAZY and spilled all of that out there hehe.

Secondly, YES YOU GET IT! After Lance is born the entire of Blackthorn including Clair's mother (who I didn't mention in the backstory but is very important in Lance's life, almost like a foster mother) takes him in and raises him. Everything he knows is from them.

He does grow up with a case of what I like to call "Viridan Sickness" It's when he's exposed to not enough sunlight or too much cold air, his body shuts down and can become very ill due to the build-up of smog that congested his lungs and his Viridian Powers enhancing his cells to try to fight back the illness can cause strain on his body.

Blackthorn was concerned that he may not make it past 10 years old, but they did everything they could to make sure he lived a sound life as his parents would've desired. He was very weak physically and mentally since he didn't have many friends to hang around as a child, but Clair's mother made sure to keep him company and happy until Clair was finally born. She loves seeing Lance smile. It reminds her a lot of her late brother.

But as we all know, he's perfectly okay, healthy, and strong as the Lance we all know and love today. Viridian sickness only comes rare to him now.

5 Drinks to Get to Know Me

Tagged by my cocktail gurlie @iamskyereads! I still haven't been back to that bar where we talked the bartender's ear off making our Pedro boy drink headcanons, but that night was epic!

For the funsies, I'm doing 5 non-alcoholic and 5 alcoholic because I can't possibly mix them!

The dependables:

Water - it's boring, but I drink it more than most other liquids so it's gotta go on. Tap preferably, sometimes sparkling, not a fan of bottled actually!

Coffee - every morning! Normally drip coffee with skim milk, but if I'm out getting one at a nice place, an americano (and if it's a place that roasts its beans very dark, a little sugar to even out the acidity). If I can have it with a glass of sparkling water and a dark chocolate square I'm in heaven.

Tea - iced or hot, I love a tea. My favorites are Yunnan, Earl Gray, Mariage Freres Marco Polo, and Red Rose decaf if it's too late in the day (caffeine after 6pm gives me night terrors)

Sprite - my go-to fast food drink. Most sodas are too sugary for me, but I can sip a Sprite with some french fries and love it.

Lychee boba tea - I rarely get my hands on boba, but I have been craving it and there was a great place I used to go to that made lychee boba tea and I gladly paid $6 for it.

The party babes:

Vesper martini - it's so refreshingly citrusy and light, perfect amount of sweetness and dryness. I do not shake it however, Bond likes a weak martini.

Dirty martini - as many olives as I can fit into the glass. Skye, you'll be happy to know I've been upgrading to gin more often and as long as it's still nice and dry I'm into it!

Old fashioned - I used to only have it with bourbon, but I've been branching out and trying some new whiskeys. Perfect at the end of the day.

Boulevardier/Negroni - depending on what I'm in the mood for, I'll make either (gin or whiskey as the base), though it's more of a before-dinner drink for me.

Hemingway Daquiri - I used to live and breathe these at the wine bar near me, but it's been a hot minute since I've had one. I love them every time though! It's the only time I drink rum anymore after those good ol' college days.

1. Gazpacho…Vegetarian and a nice cool meal after some fire bending.

2. Cabbage soup…The cabbage merchant gives Azula free cabbages for life for her valiant efforts to slay the Cabbage Killer…I mean Avatar. They have to do something with all that cabbage. Also vegetarian.

3. Noodle soups/Ramen….Vegetarian and they have epic slurping contests. Aang also air bends to cool it down as needed.

4. A spicy 10 bean chili…Wait for it, wait for it, vegetarian, and spicy. They get the best of both worlds.

2 days until Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution is released

At this rate, I'm running out of things to post. But for the sake of this post, I'm actually doing something related to the game.

Now, since the game's US release date has yet to be revealed (since we only got the year of it's release, which is 2024), and that it will probably take until after the game's for the dub cast to reveal on Twitter that their the voices of the new characters, I've made a headcanon for how the cast would sound in English.

The first ones would be the Failure Goddesses - Pippih, Jagaa, and Reedio. For Pippih, it will be Lisa Reimold (Framme from Fire Emblem: Engage; Liliana Pinnata from Death end re;Quest; Kurumi from Lycoris Recoil; Turi from Ascendance of a Bookworm). For Jagaa, it will be Amber May (The Narrator from Komi can't Communicate; Dehya from Genshin Impact; Yanqing from Honkai: Star Rail; Kami from Ba Da Bean). For Reedio, my closest suggestion would be Faye Mata, who previously portrayed Ai Masujima in Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart, God Eater in Megadimension Neptunia VII, and Paix St. Gliss in Super Neptunia RPG, as well as being the voice of Aqua from KonoSuba, Malty S. - So after what had happened

- You guys didn't really want to tell the group

- And Kaz still had to heal

- So you guys decided you just wouldn't tell them but slowly let them figure it out

- It was a fucking mess

- The first clue for them is that your the only person Kaz really let in

- So when you a didn't come down right away after visiting Kaz

- They were a bit sus

- But you guys didn't do anything! Just laid together not touching and (accidentally) fell asleep

- When you guys came down the next day

- You with your very sleep driven sate and you looked very sleepy. Your hair was a mess and you still had your clothes on from yesterday

- And Kaz looking sharp as ever was leaning on you coming down the stairs

- Nina immediately asked what happened

- Kaz was #confusedboi

- you on the other hand...

- Got it right away glared at her and said "No, and I didn't know you were stalking me now."

- She shut up pretty fast

- After that Kaz still isn't quite healed all the way but he still has to do some work

- And you told him he couldn't do anything drastic till he was healed

- And you go to the coffee shop

- You get two coffee's

- So they drop it

- The next time you were basically on a murdering date with Kaz

- The last time everyone is in the crow club

- Not getting ready for a heist surprisingly

- Just hanging around

- And you come down

- With Kaz's cane!!!

- Their all like WTF!

- but you just shrug and sit down and hand Kaz the cane

- "Thanks for letting me kill that guy, he was pissing me off"

- And he just gets up

- And leaves

- But now they think you guys like each but you just aren't together yet

- Oh shit indeed

- So this time they find out

- Your on a mission

- You and Kaz had an argument before hand

- But were fighting effortlessly in sync no one was getting to you - you guys were saints ect.

- But then you weren't

- This guy somehow got Kaz

- You curse him under your breath for getting caught/hurt more then you!

- So you know your going to go on a rampage if they dare hurt mr brekker

- So you whistle and everyone looks at you like your crazy

- But then an ARMY of crows just come flying towards them

- They eyes be gone!

- And the crows beat them

- The guy who had Kaz is just on the ground crying because he's being pulled apart like meat

- And Kaz just looks at you with that bewildered expression on his face

- He had seen you do stuff with the crows but NOTHING like this

- So you give him a crazy smile

- And he pulls you into a kiss

- And the crows kinda just spiral around you into the air while you guys kiss

- And holy shit it was epic!

- And after you guys pull away

- Your friends are all just standing their mouths gaping open

- Until Jesper finally speaks

- "Well I guess we don't have to get them together anymore."

- Let's just say you, Nina and Inej had a girls night that night

- And got all the details from you

- You are officially called the Crow queen after your little stun with the crows

- Of course Kaz is the Crow king

- And that is how everyone found out you and Kaz were dating!
