#because they didnt even reunite in death
i watched Dead Poets Society a few days ago and havent been the same since:( just been thinking about how Todd grieves, its the purest form i have ever seen. like at least once a day i have thought of that one scene and almost started crying. just the thought of feeling so much emotional pain, the chock, the throwing up, the nonsensical screaming and the pure p a i n he must have felt… imagine loving someone so much that the loss of them feels like the loss of yourself,..

Various CRPs x Reader who knew then before their incidents
Prize request 3/5 for @coldsushisworld ! I hope you enjoy!
Characters in this post: Jeff, Puppeteer, Eyeless Jack, Masky and Ben Drowned
Notes: Reader is GN! Some of these may be shorter or vaguer than others but that's simply because my brains is a little foggy on the details of things!
CW: Mentions of suicide in Puppeteers part, mentions of death and murder in.. well almost all the characters..!
Tumblr media
MASKY
JEFF
Similar to Ben's part, you find out what happened. Your parents didnt tell you all of the details that happened the night Jeff went missing, and you'd later find out why when you got older. From the man himself, actually. I enjoy the idea that between the actual canon event of the source and my take hes mellow out.. just a bit, at least hes not going to take you down the second he gets the chance. It's been.. years, you thought he had died at some point actually. Hes loud and arrogant, but for one reason or another he trusts you. You havent turned him yet, and that's saying something. Sometimes things are just like how they were before; the two of you are joking with each other and sharing stories. You don't see him often due to him just.. dropping off and doing who knows what.. but he always comes back to you eventually
BEN DROWNED
You were both childhood friends. The day Ben died, you were told he had moved away. You didnt find out what happened until years later, when you started asking around. When fate brings you both back together everything feels. Wrong. Hes a ghost, and primarily confined to technology- currently hes worked himself into your computer, proving himself to still be the mischievous guy he was in life by subtly messing with your files.. but you grew up, and he didnt. Despite still being friends, there just wasn't enough for the two of you to relate to anymore. In a way it reminds me of Anohana (need to rewatch it but I recommend it). If Ben notices the rift he doesnt say anything
The terrible thing is that you dont know what happened to him. One day he was here and the next? Gone. On top of that, are you even aware that he doesnt seem to.. remember all that much about you? It's almost as if hes an entirely different person. Out of all the characters, your relationship with Masky needs to be rebuilt from the ground, simply because it didnt exactly exist before. You were friends with Tim, of course. To you, you're trying to jog his memory and do things you two have done before. To him, you look.. desperate. Overtime you do both grow closer but the relationship will never be like how it was before, and you're going to have to readjust to this new situation- though is that not the case with the rest of these characters?
EYELESS JACK
You had heard on the news what happened at his college. It looked like there was a massacre, and your friend was no where in sight. Even before Jack became eyeless, he was still.. closed off and reserved. However reunited with him he seems to have sunk deeper into that, even trying to get you out of his life again because of.. what was happening to him and what was changing. Your insistence almost breaks the both of you, but despite everything you manage to safely reenter his life. His new eating habits.. are something.. and that's assuming he even tells you.. he probably would, out of guilt for keeping it from you and just guilt in general for needing to conform to his new diet. It's very strained and tense for a long time in the beginning, even if you're the most open minded person. Jack's not going to let it be easy
PUPPETEER
You were.. friendly with each other before everything. But you weren't exactly all that close. Of course when you found about how he took his life, you felt horrible. But life goes on. You move on, and go on with your life plans... and you were doing good at that, before a figure appears in your room one night. Its terrifying, actually, and if it didnt start talking to you like you were an old school friend you would have tried to make a run for it. Maybe it was the shock that kept you in place? Of course, the figure was.. him.. he doesn't seem to recognize the name you knew him as, in fact you cant tell how much he actually remembers. He basically just invites himself to live with you, not all that bothered with the idea that you might not want that. Hes.. kind of a dick, actually, but hes charming enough for you to keep him around. Having conversations with him is interesting, as well. Hes usually respectful enough but theres some level of... sass.. that keeps you invested. Hes so much like how he was before, but also not. Hes still there but it's like hes been flipped on his head

Why Obi-Wan and Anakin being a Force dyad not only makes sense but doesnt contradict canon
First of all: what exactly is a dyad?
A dyad is two physically separate individuals being the same presence in the Force. The only dyad bond that currently exists in canon is, of course, the one shared by Rey and Ben. They have an 11 year gap, meaning two people are not born a dyad, but develop a dyad bond over the course of their life (keep this in mind). They have a lot of amazing and unique abilities that nobody else has (like extremely powerful Force healing* and object transfer), but a few of their dyad feats are also found in the Obi-Wan/Anakin duo.
*Force healing isn't exclusive to the dyad btw, several Force users had this ability, including Anakin and Obi-Wan.
Here are some examples:
they can communicate telepathically from across the galaxy. Neither of them is very proficient at this as they only found out about it way too late, when they were very much enemies and Obi-Wan made himself undetectable (and from the Rako Hardeen arc we know that when he does this not even Anakin can recognize him);
they share feelings, memories and pain through the Force as if they're experiencing them together, as one, at the same time;
during their duel on Mustafar, Palpatine felt that Anakin was in danger, despite them not being nearly done fighting. This could be due to Palpatine sensing the dyad bond being severed, and any Force bond severed is dangerous as it can create a wound in the Force. Palpatine could have been worried about Anakin becoming a wound (tho i personally think that Obi-Wan is more likely to have become a wound instead);
upon realizing Rey and Ben are a dyad, Palpatine says that the dyad bond was "unseen for generations". It technically has been generations since Obi-Wan and Anakin, plus 'unseen' doesnt meant 'non-existent'. Palpatine might simply not have noticed, as "A Force dyad, binding two separate beings together, was not an easily discernible phenomenon." After all he only realizes Rey and Ben are a dyad when they fight him directly and as a team and he accidentally siphons their life force, which is a situation he has most definately never found himself in with Obi-Wan and Anakin;
remember the dyad bond being created over time? Palpatine tried (unsuccessfully) to form a dyad bond with Anakin, meaning that not only he knew about the prophecy of the dyad, but he sought to realize it in himself and, likely, getting rid of Anakin in order to avoid the prophecy of the Chosen One being realized instead. Anakin/Vader at that point had surrendered himself to Palpatine entirely, so there would be no reason for the bond not to be created. Unless, of course, Anakin already shared that connection with someone else;
them being a dyad would explain why Anakin had to die in order to bring balance to the Force, despite having already killed Palpatine: he needed to reunite with Obi-Wan so the dyad could be one again. Rey doesn't need to die because Ben transfered his life force to her. This is also why Ben doesn't appear as a Force ghost: other than lacking the training, he lives on in Rey;
on that note, Obi-Wan and Anakin being a dyad would also explain how Anakin was able to learn how to become a Force-ghost despite having no training at all (Sith cant become Force ghosts so Palpatine certainly didnt teach him). and even in legends, its Obi-Wan who reaches out to him in the space between death and beyond and teaches him the way.
An argument against the Obi-Wan/Anakin dyad is the "Rey and Ben are unique and nobody can do the things they can do" argument. Which is true, they are absolutely unique and we have never seen any character, in either legends or canon, do the things they can do, but I wouldn't consider it a strong argument. Nearly every Force bond is different and unique (some Jedi could create bonds with other Force users, some could create bonds with anyone, some could create bonds with animals, others could only create bonds with their master/apprentice) and the strength of those bonds varies depending on the people who share them.
We only have a single example of what a dyad looks like, in canon, and that is simply not enough to rule out the possibility of other characters having shared that bond, especially knowing how difficult it is to recognize!
Obi-Wan and Anakin could not transfer objects through the Force or touch each other across light-years, but I would argue they never needed to, as they were so inseparable that they were concieved as a single entity by the entire galaxy:
Tumblr media
(Revenge of the Sith - Matthew Stover)
And to further confirm the depth of their bond, here is Yoda sensing** the effect of Obi-Wan's death on Anakin all the way to Dagobah:
Tumblr media
(There is Another - Gary D. Schmidt, from From A Certain Point of View)
**He sensed Obi-Wan and Anakin clashing against each other as well, describing the fight as follows: "Then the two vibrations met, and their pulses fought across the back of the Force."
Making Obi-Wan and Anakin a dyad would also make the Rey and Ben dyad make more sense: Anakin was created by the Force itself to be the Chosen One as a response to Plagueis trying to create the perfect dark side user and Sith warrior -> Anakin then forming a dyad bond with Obi-Wan, a steadfast light side user through and through -> that bond being severed causing the dark side to take over the light -> Anakin's twin children being equally capable of redeeming him (perhaps another dyad, or something akin to it since they could also do some of the things obikin/reylo can do) -> the dyad being reunited with Anakin's death -> Palpatine is actually not dead so balance needs to be brought back yet again -> Anakin's grandson forms a dyad bond with Palpantine's granddaughter (finalizing what Palpatine had failed to do with Anakin) -> the dyad is fully realized when Ben dies to bring Rey back to life.
This would make Anakin retain the most important role in the story as the Chosen One and the 'patriarch' (word used loosely) of the dyad lineage.
And last, but most certainly not least, Obi-Wan and Anakin lead the Open Circle Fleet during the Clone Wars. The Open Circle emblem, specifically, represented the two of them and the power of their bond: "The heraldic emblem consisted of a yellow circle that was formed by two separate semi-circle arcs. One arc represented Kenobi, the other, Skywalker. The image signified that while they were both two independent halves, together they formed a single entity."

i think about how happy shijie mustve been to be in a happy marriage. how she saw her parents broken, loveless marriage, and must have known thats whats in store for her, as she looks at a boy a little older than her didis, who already looks past her like everyone else and hates her, for trapping him in a marriage with a weak, useless cultivator. who he didnt love.
she must have been so happy, when the betrothal broke. still sad, always sad, always caused by the boy who she - didnt love, but could love, or loved the idea of, she didnt know. the boy who besmirched her name and embarrassed her publically, the both of them, the both of their clans. but she would be free. of a loveless marriage. of making the boy - she didnt quite love, didnt quite hate - unhappy. making herself unhappy. maybe, she would have a husband who loved her, and little ones she would raise with the same gentle hand she raised her didis.
(i think she was scared. a little, a lot. because she hardly had the best marital prospects, and to be a spinster is a fate worse than death.)
but i think she would have been happier when jin zixuan, matured and so grown up, spat out an embarrassing confession to her. after chasing after her, finding excuses to be with her. she must have been happy, to finally get that romance, that she only heard about. dreamed about. longed for.
she mustve been happy at her wedding. bittersweet, without her xianxian there, a large piece of her heart missing. happy, that she could have shown him her wedding robes. married to a man, she knows, xianxian would begrudgingly approve of as the years went on, as a-xuan grew to be more and more good, finally shedding the last of the gentrys silly ideas. dangerous ideas. (she can only hope that for a-cheng, too. she never had to worry about that for a-xian)
she must have been the most happy, when her stomach swelled and her husband strutted around like - well, yes. a peacock ! attended to her every whim, made her giggle. jin furen, for all her faults, saw to her like the mother she never had, all fussing and gentle hands. still sharp, ever the violet spiders sworn sister (or something more), yet kind in a way yu ziyuan could never have been.
and when she held jin ling in her arms, his chubby cheeks, his fat hands clutching her finger so tightly, like he was afraid of her leaving. grabbing his fathers sword, disregarding everything else, like he feared for a-xuan leaving, too. jin rulan, she thought, pleased.
i think, even in the last few weeks, she was happy. even when her a-xuan died, and all she could manage was one long wail, in the recess of their room. when they accused her a-xian of such vile things, things he would never do, not in his right mind, not on purpose. when jin ling cried, and would not stop, unless he held his fathers sword. because jin ling was there, her lingling was still there. she could be happy, for him.
i think she was happy, when she died. because her wei ying was there, her xianxian was still there. she would be happy, that he would live to see another day.
still sad, for her lingling, her didis, the mess she would be leaving behind. but hopeful. because she hoped that her a-ling would forgive her, that he would be raised well, into a good man.
but happy, because she knew wherever she would go, in the next life, she would be reunited with all the pieces of her heart.
and hopefully, it would be happier.

Being Luthers daughter would be rather boring
You never knew who your mother was, Luther had been with a few women on missions and one day you appeared on the doorstep. They DNA tested you and you and Luther were a match
(Yes I'm aware in canon Luther is a virgin until he goes to some furry convention but shhhh, its for the story)
Because he was on the moon, you didn't get to see him for so long
You became adjusted to being raised by Grace
You, like your father, had been born with special abilities. You didn't find out for years what it was but as you got older you discovered that you had the power of telekinesis
When Luther was around when you were younger, he was a very boring dad
You'd be grounded instantly for the tiniest things
There were very few times you had fun with him when you were much younger, he rarely ever had time for you
Then he had to go to moon and that was the last time you saw him for years
There were very high expectations for you after being raised by Grace, Reginald and Pogo for 4 years while your father was gone
Reginald decided to train you, even called you number eight
Grace never referred to you as number eight, only ever by name
You were taught by them so you were very smart
They kept you inside, not many people knew of your existence, only those you lived with knew about you
Once Reginald had died, you met the rest of your family
And you were also reunited with your dad
He was much bigger when he came back, but so were you
When he saw you for the first time he was rather shocked
"(Y-Y/N)? Is that you?"
"Well.. yeah. Thought you might recognise your own daughter."
"O-oh, you're just so much... older."
"Thats kinda how aging works, dad."
As boring as he was as a father, you were so happy to be reunited with him
Once you started talking to Klaus though, you were wreaking havoc constantly
You got to meet Allison and quickly sensed something between her and your dad, which was weird considering she was your aunt
It was probably nothing.. right?
Diego didn't exactly like you in the beginning because you were Luthers daughter
He quickly learned to love you once he learned you weren't like Luther, he loved to team up against your dad with you
He always took you out and let you do things your dad never let you do, doing all this just to spite your dad and it worked
"Diego! I told you she wasn't allowed to have that!"
"No shit, that's why I did it"
You just stood in the corner laughing, thinking of the next thing you'd get Diego to do for you
Meeting Five was... strange
He was impressed by your smarts compared to Luther
You didn't ever get a chance to properly bond with Five, yknow with all the saving the world stuff
Your dad didn't really like you being around Viktor, he thought that if you tried bonding with him he'd spill your secrets and even reveal your existence and put you in danger
You had never actually left the house so once you met your uncles and they let you out of the house, you were ecstatic
Once you got to the 1960s, you felt so lost and lonely
You'd never been by yourself before, it was terrifying for you, you had always been with someone
You had to try find your way around a world you'd barely ever explored, eventually you learned how to navigate yourself and be by yourself
Well not entirely by yourself, when people found some strange teenage girl wandering around by herself, looking scared to death they took you to an orphanage and you stayed there for 2 years
People never wanted to adopt teenagers, especially not when they were nearing adulthood. Until one day when you were called into a room to meet someone
It was your dad, he had somehow figured out where you were, you soon learned he had found out because of his boss but you didnt care, you were just overjoyed to see your dad again
He took you back to some random store, where you were reunited with your family, you couldn't have been happier to finally see everyone again. Though you didn't know your family that well, you loved them more than anything and when they saw you, they leaped to hug you.
You had to attend the family dinner with your dad, uncles and aunt
You just sat there awkwardly throughout the whole experience, Reginald was shocked to learn he had a grandchild and was further shocked by your intelligence
You demonstrated your powers to him and began to recite things he had taught you, he kept you behind after the dinner to talk to you
Luther was very opposed to this idea but allowed it to happen
When you were at the farm and the battle began, your father was purely focused on protecting you. As the bullets flew through the air, he picked you up and used himself as your personal shield. Your eyes were ringing from the sounds of the shots and he covered your ears for you
You were terrified, you'd never really been exposed to this before. The only time that you had experienced something like this was at the bowling alley and at Viktors violin show but even that didn't even compare to what you were experiencing there.
Once all the commission was wiped out, you were in the barn, watching as Diego had a heart to heart with Lila until a shot rang out
Diego collapsed to the floor, the handler stood in the doorway with a gun and suddenly
She fired it at all of you
You collapsed to the floor
Then Five reversed time and you then had to travel back to your original timeline.
Well, you thought it was the original timeline
(Not gonna do HC for season 3 in this because there's already so much for Luther)

Diego is a funnish (???) dad
You came from a one night stand that Diego forgot about
Nearly a year later, Al called him to tell him a 3 month-old had just been dropped off at the gym and it apparently belonged to Diego
Though, as soon as he saw you, he remembered the hook up because you looked just like your mother will small resemblances to Diego
He was scared to be a dad, his father was so cruel, abusive and distant
Diego didn't want you to be raised with the same hatred that he had for his own father
He's a busy guy, you were mostly raised at the gym with Al
You were also raised by Eudora, she was like a mother to you
But any free time Diego had, he was determined to spend with you
He loved you dearly, he lived for you
When you were much younger, around 4, you had wandered out of Al's sight and watched your dad training
You were inspired by watching your dad train, you wanted to try too
Diego heard some small grunts and looked over to you
There you were, mimicking the sounds and punching moved he was making, his heart melted
But he was very mad at Al for letting you wander out of sight
After seeing you, he decided to start training you
You had lots of fun with your dad
You went to public school, your dad couldn't afford anything fancy
If you ever got detentions, Diego would just laugh, he found it hilarious
When he was with Eudora, she encouraged you to be a good student, you rarely listened but you truly loved her so you did try
Then your grandfather died, which meant Diego had to attend his funeral, but he didnt want you staying at the gym for too long by yourself and decided to take you with him
That's when you finally met the rest of your family, they were rather shocked to learn Diego had a kid
When Eudora died, your heart broke, you just cried, cried and cried
Diego attempted to comfort you but it didn't work too well, you really did miss her
You were used to being around Klaus, your dad often picked him up from jail when he got in trouble or would find him on the side of the road and take him back to your place
Klaus was fascinated to know that he now had another niece, he bonded with you quickly and took care of you when Diego was gone
Well, he tried to take care of you, he more messed around with you whilst Ben reminded him to be gentle and responsible with you
Klaus was your best friend, you didn't get along with a lot of people at school and Klaus was your escape from that
He was so funny and eccentric, he was way better than all the kids at school. Diego didn't think the same, he thought Klaus was a bad influence on you but you never cared
Meeting the rest of your family was certainly strange
Luther didn't exactly like you but fuck him, he was annoying anyway so you didn't care
Allison liked you slightly more because you reminded her of Claire in some ways
Your dad didn't let you speak to Viktor, the most you could do was give an awkward wave
It was strange to finally meet your family, but you were happy you did
(Sorry loves, I'm not gonna write much for Diego because I've already done something pretty much exactly like this in the past)
(A/N) : Hope you enjoy reading this, I really hate it but i hope you guys like it!

cute lil "no longer you" analysis
Ok guys so like we know how the oracle works? Yeah yeah yeah, they say smth and no matter what you do, it will come true because of what you do. However, there are different pathways obvs. So tiresias is like, "Yeah theres a lot of your journeys, odysseys if you will, and there are good an bad endings. I know there is a good ending here for you, but I dont know it here, it isnt yours." HOWEVER it could change. It isnt set in stone yet. He sings the prophecy. He sings what is most likely going to happen from this moment onwards, how in the musical Eurylochus stands up and is killed 'a brothers final stand' and the 'sacrifice of man' being scylla and how odysseus didnt do anything to prevent the death of the men. I think the 'last breath' is in reference to "Get in the Water" but it could also be when he washes up on Claypsos shore, although I doubt it cause thats a stretch. Cause like... yeah no. Odysseus is like "Hold on. No thats not fair. We have been well, we have been using other means instead of violence so we can be fair, this ISNT fair! Then Tiresias goes on to recite more of this version of the prophecy, how Penelope will be reunited with a man who isnt anything like Odysseus is. NOW this is where it matters imo. This prophecy differs so heavily from the book, but in the book there is a choice. He tells the men to not eat any cattle they come across or else they will suffer from it and Odysseus will arrive home much later than what he would like. The option of choice is still there, eat the cattle or do not. Odysseus being doomed by the narrative has this choice screwed by his crew, but it was still presented to him none the less. Epic doesnt go this route on a surface listen. There is no clear choice but the indication is still there. After Tiresia has finished the current prophecy, it comes down to Odysseus to place how the story will go. He could either "greet the world with open arms" and try beg Tiresia to tell him the other worlds and other prophecy's, or he could go down the path the Gods favour of anger and suffering. Upon hearing his wife is with a man "with a trail of bodies", he screams "who" with such desperation and anger which the audience has never heard before. Without even saying so, it has implemented and foreshadowed the vengeance and anger he holds to this man who has taken his wife. This is dramatic irony to the audience who knows what will happen, how he turns into this man. He doesnt hate him, he becomes him, so that he can seek vengeance on who Tiresia described. It also can be interpreted from the lines already presented by Tiresia that the man is Odyssesy, as his crew, the 558 men who died, trail behind him as 'the past is always close behind'. A trail of bodies which he met only a song prior to "no longer you". The "Who" line which Odysseus screams cements his fate, the anger and choice of bitterness athena steered him to and Poseidon reimplemented being chosen over the advice his dead friend gave him. This is when Tiresias repeats the first verse, the repetition illustrating how that world now is this world. It cements that there is no change to be done, Odysseus path will end in a trail of bodies which is greater than the one he already bears, and the sacrifices he must make in order to reunite with his wife while becoming something akin to the Devine whilst staying mortal, a monster.

final leg of a journey to love thoughts!! (eps 35-40). this got so gd long so under a cut it goes. spoilers, of course:
PLOT STUFF/PACING
pacing for the plot definitely got shredded in the last chunk, which is a damn shame because otherwise i've been finding the pacing pretty much perfect. eps 35-37 in particular felt like they could have been like a 10 episode arc. ep 38, which mostly dealt with wu palace politics, should have been cut or streamlined imo and more time given to the characters we've actually been riding along with the whole story. by the time we get back to the pregnant empress, prince danyang, the first prince whose name i dont even remember, and the prime minister, i do not care about any of them and i think this subplot was simply just trying to fit too much shit into one bag
that said, this show still let the emotional moments hit and breathe and linger. i love the grief for the fallen liudao comrades as we go, as well as the less heavy but still emotionally important moments like yang ying and tongguan bonding over their upbringing. and we got a wedding /;3;/!!! for this show, the relationships and characters matter more than the storyline so im not mad about anything at all
side note: it's so gd millennial to have a story about a bunch of 30 something year olds who want to fake their deaths and retire into obscurity but instead they go and die for a boss they hate
CHARACTER STUFF
this show consistently brought a lot of depth to its side characters (and side side characters!!). i said it in an earlier post, but it bears repeating that even someone like deng hui i didnt expect anything from, but he got such good development and writing that he became a stealth fave. his dying words essentially being "dude, quit fucking around" ? iconic.
i didnt like tongguan as much as everyone else, so im pretty meh about everything regarding him. the attempt to force-wed ruyi was tonally really weird and didnt make sense (i assume there was some cuts made surrounding it). but LOL at him reusing all the outfits and decor immediately for his wedding to yang ying. baby duke, you tacky motherfucker. i ultimately think yang ying deserves better than him, but the good thing is that she knows this, so she'll be able to hold her own and then some entering into this partnership
shisan really was the heart in a lot of ways--the mom to yuanzhou's dad for the liudao. i was not expecting him to break my heart the way he did, but the fact that he held both qian zhao and sun lang as they died and then tried his best to remove yuan lu from harm and saved chu yue and was just very much a nurturer all the way through got me. his character couldve been cheap comic relief but the writing + performance really elevated him into one of the (imo) most memorable wuxia characters. his line wondering who would get to behead his beautiful skull!!! and how his mantra was always that he was going to drink the best wine, see the most beautiful women, and make the best of friends and he dies having lost the ability to see and having just had wine in memory of qian zhao, yuan lu, and sun lang. like. shut up!!
ruyi and yuanzhou were both so great and they're gonna be the drama OTP to beat forever. i loved the gender reversals, that they both were so respectful of each other, and that they also felt very mature in how they handled things and communicated. they were really interesting characters both together and apart and that's always a win-win. they had a schroedinger's ending where it's not super clear if they're alive or dead (i interpreted it as the latter), but what's kind of beautiful is that either option is satisfying to me. if they both died, they're reunited and with their comrades and the story is truly about the journey and the meaningful short connections we have. if they both survived, it's a bookend with the beginning where they each faked their deaths to escape. A+
COSTUMING
i gotta just separately mention the costuming for this show because it was 15/10. the textures, shisan's accessories, the way red became integrated with yuanzhou's wardrobe and blue with ruyi's. the details on the liudao name amulets!! SO GOOD. i love when characters' clothes tell a story on their own
overall i just really loved this drama it is probably my favorite wuxia ive seen so far! it's gonna be in my brain for awhile lol feel free to send fic prompts if you've made it this far :'D

I was gonna put this headcanon in a fic but i probably will never write it so instead im gonna share with all of you. Do with this idea as you wish
The fact that Pixal just up and built herself a new body in season 7 suggests she could have done it at any time, but chose not to. And i refuse to believe Zane and Borg didnt at least offer to give her a body - Zane admitted he preferred having her physical, im sure he at least suggested rebuilding her at one point. As he said in season 8, "The choice has always been yours, Pixal." Which leads me to believe she was the determining factor in her own reconstruction. She chose to stay in Zane's head, and Id like to think her reasons for doing so are similar to her reasons for hiding her identity as Samurai X: self-imposed guilt.
Let me explain.
Think of it like this. Pixal was built to assist, right? Even from the beginning of their relationship, she has been put in several positions of saving, protecting, and looking after Zane. Their first bonding moments involved her repairing him and later rescuing him from a junkyard metal shredder. Just as Zane has an integral need to protect built into the core of his existence, so too does Pixal have an integral need to assist.
When Zane gave her half his heart, he seriously disadvantaged himself in combat. Not only that, but it was his heart being unable to withstand the Golden Power that killed him in the end. Im sure there was at least some small part of Pixal that blamed herself for this. Not just because she might see this as a failure to uphold her reason for existence (helping people) - but also bc maybe if he'd had his whole heart during that fight, maybe if she'd just given it back to him, he might have had a fighting chance. It would have only marginally improved his chances of survival, but that small .003% probability increase is enough to make her blame herself. A probability that small is statistically irrelevant, but she cant help using it as an excuse to blame herself - or perhaps, to give her a rationalization for her survivor's guilt. Because the heart inside her, powering her, is the same heart Zane could have used to defend himself against the Golden Power, and the feeling of it inside her is unbearable.
Then Zane comes back, and she gets scrapped. And Zane forgets everything, and his mind is in shambles, and she has to help him piece himself back together again.
She blames herself for this, blames herself for his death and for the scrambled state of his memories that came as a consequence. So she figures, she caused this, so its her responsibility to help him fix his broken mind. Its her responsibility to assist.
So she stays in his head, where she can hold his memories together and keep his mind from falling apart. She insists she prefers it this way, likes being close to him, but deep down she longs for her physical freedom and hates herself for wanting more than she deserves.
Then Borg is kidnapped. And Zane is nonresponsive. And she has a choice. So she chooses to rebuild herself and leave Zane behind.
And...she feels good. Free. She's...happy about it.
But shes also deeply ashamed. Thinks she doesnt deserve to enjoy the experience of leaving Zane's head. He needs her, she's less useful to him outside his headset...and yet here she is, being Samurai X, having the absolute time of her life. She loves it, and she hates herself for loving it so much.
So out of shame, she tells no one. Shes worried theyll be just as disappointed in her as she is in herself.
And Zane...well, maybe theres a reason the Ninjigma didnt become a problem until after Pixal left his headset. Maybe she was the only thing holding him together, and the moment she left, all his memories started spiraling out of control. Maybe the events of Decoded turned out to be for the best, and allowed Zane to sort through and finish repairing his memories on his own, without relying on Pixal for help.
When Pixal reunites with Zane, shes worried he'll be upset. "Was i more...useful...inside the computer?" But to her surprise and delight, he prefers her in whatever form makes her happiest, not whatever form makes her most useful.
And Pixal, backed by the support of Zane and their friends, flourishes in her new role as Samurai X - not just in an assistive capacity, but exploring and embracing her interests in engineering and tinkering. Things are good, for a while.
But then Zane ends up in the Never Realm. And he comes home, and she learns what happened. She hears what Vex did, how she sabotaged his memories and twisted his own sense of self against him.
Once more, she blames herself. Begins to believe that maybe if she had still been in his headset, she could have prevented all that suffering.
Anyway, Pixal with survivors guilt and a raging hero complex my BELOVED

healed wounds, mended hearts pt I - rafe cameron
rafe cameron x reader
PREVIEW: You and the Cameron were friends from childhood up until you choose to socialize with the pogues. Though Sarah never minded, you and Rafe's friendship ended way long ago up until you both unexpectedly reunited on the kook families new years eve party. That was two years ago though, you don't remember exactly when things have changed drastically. With you and your friends fighting to get what's rightfully yours. A seemingly neverending treasure hunt.
You and the pogues snoop into the Cameron's cargo ship, wanting to get Sarah and the cross back. But something unexpected happened, and you were left with the person you hate the most because that was the only way to safe you.
Healed wounds, mended hearts PART 1
Part II
NOTE : It was only after i rewatched some clips of the scenes that i realize the ship in season 2 was actually not that big….lmao so please just imagine it being a pretty big cargo ship so the deck is pretty high up with a small chance of survival when someone fell overboard Anyway, hope you enjoy! ALSO i didnt proof read this so sorry if there are any mispronunciations or grammatical errors
Tumblr media
***
You reached out to get ahold of a metal piece, a single part of the ship to hold your body up. The humming sound of the engine bombed through the air, followed by the neverending sounds of waves crashing the body of the ship. How ironic is it that something that has very little convenient on a normal day could be the sole thing that is preventing you from meeting death.
Your heart is beating heavily that you can feel it on every parts of your body. Sweats crawled down your skin and you can feel it against your palm, the one having a hold of the broken piece of railing. Shit. You can feel your lungs tightened as fear engulfed your whole body and your limbs starting to weakened by fear. Its hard not to panic when you are only seconds away from meeting your end.
You felt your hand starting to slip, your hold loosen each second passed without knowing what to do. Your mind brought you the image of your mom, the only person you can't live without, of how worried she must've been not knowing where her missing daughter is. You dont want to die, not today. Tears blurred your sight, and though shaky, you tried to call for help again, and again, and again. You have stopped for a while as it requires so much strength with no replies at all. You reckon everyone is busy with their own fight. With a shaky breath, you call out. "Somebod-"
"Y/n!" Just before you can finish your sentence, somebody called your name, their voice muffled by the roaring sound of the ship. You recognize their voice. "JJ? J im right here!"
You felt a hand tightly grabbed ahold of yours, pulling you up until your whole body is secure on the deck. Your face hit a warm and slightly damp hard surface, and you can feel a hand holding the back of your head. JJ hugged you tightly against his chest, his arms wrapped around your head and waist. "Fuck, Y/n. I've searched for you everywhere. How the fuck did you even get there?" You can hear the slight panting in his voice.
You shook your head in response. You can feel your tears blurring your empty gaze, looking straight into the endless deep blue ocean as your cheek leaned against his chest. The sky has darkened, tinted with hues of orange and pink. Such a beautiful sight when seen from a very different circumstances. You wonder when everything is going to end, whether you and your friends will even meet the end of this treasure hunting adventure at all. One moment you almost died, falling and drowning overboard. What's next will always be unexpected. "I dont- i dont know J, one minute i- one" You inhaled sharply, feeling your throat closing with shock and heavy breaths.
"You're okay bug, you're okay" He lulled softly against your ear, his hand rubbing circles on your lower back. "I was there with you, and the next thing i knew i was fighting one of Ward's man on the edge of the ship. He bring me down with him, i managed to kick his ass off though"
JJ pulled away from you, both of his hands now placed on your shoulders with concern written all over his face. "You killed them?" You raise your shoulders. "Yeah? Maybe? I dont know J he went down to that fucking ocean"
A small smirk creeped up his face, one that is psychotic enough when you think about it. "Thats my girl. Woo!" He said, both hands shaking your body slightly.
"J, wheres everyone else?" You asked, snapping him out of distraction which was followed by the realization in his ocean blue eyes. Oh my god, this guy.
"Yeah..yeah. Everyone else. C'mon follow me" He dragged you through steep stairs and wet floors, looking back at you every once in a while to make sure that you're fine and right behind him. At times you can feel his thumb rub the inner side of your wrist. That gesture is so very not him, the unfamiliarity weirdly moved your heart. It's a whole different side of this boy you knew, and you reckon that is what the realization of potentially dying could do to a person.
You both stopped at the sound of metal clashing against metal, you can feel JJ's left arm backing out, moving you to stand right behind him pressed against the wall as he touched your left side. Butterfly erupted from your stomach, but you ignored them as you stared dirtily at the back of his head. This boy saved you once and think he's the master knight. "The fuck are you doing? Let's go J the clock is ticking!" You hit his shoulder, shout whispering behind him.
"Shh! You hear that? That's Rafe Y/n. Hes fighting someone" Your heart dropped at the mention of him. Your childhood friend turned into the villain in you and your friends's story. You both walked slowly towards the scene, deep down anticipating for the worst. The hallway ended, the floor no longer covered by the shadow of the wall. You felt exposed, not having something to cover you both from whoever is in front of you.
Up there you see Pope fighting Rafe over the cross, and on the other side you see Ward's men coming to help him. "Pope watch out!" You screamed as you shove JJ out of your way. One of them is coming for Pope with a piece of machete-like metal while he was busy fighting Rafe. You shoved the bearded man from the side with your back, you both stumbled to the floor with a heavy thud. Pain traveled down your back from the impact, but you heard the weapon cluttered to the floor. Out of instinct, you quickly crawled to get them just a few feet away from your hand. But the man seemingly thought of the same thing, as you both raced to grab the machete.
Something grabbed your legs and pulled you back just when you were inches away from the metal, but you were able to shove the handle, making it slides far enough so the man. If you can't have it, no one can.
Something kicked you on the chest as you twisted your body upward, your eyes meeting an unfamiliar vague pair of dark eyes. You wheezed, your chest burning with pain and shock that it hurts to even breathe in the ocean air. But the man stumbled back when someone punched him, reeling him away from your vulnerable state.
"The fuc- Cleo?" You realized it was really her. "No time to chat, distract them while Pope takes care of the cross" she said while ducking away from a punch. You nodded, eyes scanning your surroundings and noticed that JJ was nowhere to be found. Rafe was still coming at Pope, but the cross was already tied up. Your gaze went to the other side and you saw Cleo struggling to take down both of Ward's men. Fuck it. Pope can deal with one man.
You jumped on the back of one of the guy and hit the side of his head with your elbow repeatedly, with one hand tightening your hold on his neck. You released your hold from the guy, but managed to blow a hit behind his neck before he passed out.
You clutched your side as something cold pierced through your side. A pained gasp escaped your lips as pain quickly erupted from the wound, and you felt yourself fell backwards as your limbs weakened.
To be continued..

HOLD UP, since your mom bought Rebellion for you as a birthday present, is today your birthday?!
Also…how was it…? I hope you liked it! (Of course if you have trouble processing what happened, feel free to ask)
That was the best movie
i have ever watched.
i went through all 5 stages of grief within the matter of 5 minutes.
SPOILERS FOR MADOKA MAGICA REBELLION BELOW!
i feel like i have never been so touched by a piece of media in my life
since the movie is so long, im not going to touch on every part, only the ones that were the most important to me
I WAS VERY CONFUSED AT THE BEGINNING. it was a huge surprise that the world had been fake (pretty much), because i was almost positive that was homura in her early stages of time travelling....NO. everything had already happened...
when they had begun talking about how the world was created by a witch, i was confused on how Bebe was relevant, since there had been no previous mention of them...and for them to imagine this ENTIRE WORLD just didnt sit right with me. once they started to mention it a little more, i had immediately known it was homura.
still, i started to get emotional when the world started to burn, and it was revealed that homura really was behind this. homura had been the thing she had sworn not to trust, what she hated with all her heart, trapped in her own cage she was trying to escape from...quite literally. that in itself was pretty beautiful to me :(
after all of that, when homura had pretty much sentenced herself to death to make sure that madoka would not be taken advantage of, madoka ended up trying so hard to save homura...i think that their love for eachother is definitely mutual, even if it seems like homuras might overpower madokas, i know that madoks truly cares about keeping homura safe and even in a moment of sacrifice madoka still just longed to be with homura and didnt want her to end that way, it was such a heartwarming moment
especially when god madoka came down to help homura, i started tearing up, it was really pretty and i had these lighst going on in my room and i was wondering the whole time "what does fantasy mean by people dont like what homura does at the end? everything seems fine right now!"
........
HOMURA
WHAAAAAATTTTT?!???!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Holy FUCKING SHIT I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT.
I THINK THAT WAS MY *FAVORITE* PLOT TWIST THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN IN AN ANIME...IT SERIOUSLY BROUGHT OUT ALL THE EMOTIONS IN ME
i was STARING at my tv with my mouth open i could not believe it.....AND WHEN SHE STARTED TO SMILE, I GOT SUPER EXCITED!! I tend to accidently headcanon characters insanity as the smiling insanity, as if they broke, and i had started drawing homura like that but figured it wasnt fitting for her.....DAMN WAS I WRONG!!!!
i LOVE how homura had become an obsessive....not quite lustful, but more...PURELY EVIL DEMON....who had seperated madokas human form and god form to create a madoka who would be able to live happily (i believe?) with an altered memory...GOD, that scene was so POWERFUL, ive been stuck thinking about it all day today....DAMNIT HOMURA, I LOVE YOU EVEN WHEN YOU ARE EVIL!!! And this insane character development just made me love her even more!!!!!!!
then, at the end, when madoka had ended up quickly reuniting with her god form....and the way that homura said that the ribbons look better on madoka....JESUS...i was THIS CLOSE TO CRYING!!! it was almost a bittersweet ending, and that was the best route they couldve chosen...i couldnt tell if i felt sad, at peace.....it was really really beautiful!
HONORABLE MENTIONS:
that scene with the flower field....THE SCENE WITH THE FLOWER FIELD HAD ME NEAR SOBBING...i thought it was gorgeous and the way that they hugged...the thought that this would be one of the last times homura would be able to hear madoka say those heartfelt things to her, just seeing her sit there....it was really blissful :(
THE SCENE WITH THE STATUE TURNING TO TAR!!!! that was AMAZING symbolism, holy shit! i just kinda stared at the tv for a little bit...its as if homuras love was infecting madoka....i love it so much.
i cant quitteee remember this one very well, but when madoka started t-posing and sunk into the ground, becoming this liquid, the homura becoming liquid, then a mini homura smashing it up? I DONT THINK IM REMEMBERING IT RIGHT, but i just know that it kind of hit me, it reminded me of no matter how hard homura had kept trying to save madoka, she kept dying...and all she went through within all of the timelines were ultimately very small and hardly mattered, since in the end, she failed...THATS HOW I SAW IT!
(and also, the fight with mami was AMAZING!!!! The music, the combat, the intensity, oh my god!! and when homura shot herself, and then held it up to mami, i was like WHATS GOING ON?!?!?)
this movie was absoloutely beautiful, touching, intense, i....literally have no words to describe it.
I PROBABLY WOULDVE NEVER GOTTEN TO WATCHING IT IF YOU DIDNT RECCOMEND IT TO ME FANTASY!!! THANK YOU SO SO SO SO SO MUCH...that was *seriously* one of the best experiences of my life, i went through so much in such a little amount of time...the fascinating scenery with the witches and the everything looked amazing as always, this was just a very very special and UNIQUE movie to me and i stayed involved the whole time...I DONT THINK ANYTHING THAT ILL EVER WATCH WILL TOP THAT, HONESTLY.....
thank you SO SO SO SO SO MUCH!!!! I LOVED IT!!! 10000000/10.....it genuinely couldnt have been better!!!!! and it only made me love homura even more!!!!!!!!
(ALSO, TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, it is not my birthday! my birthday is in 9 days, march 16th! STILL COUNTS AS A BIRTHDAY PRESENT!)

How do you think AfO will die?
Honestly I dont know. The narrative is trying so hard to tell us that he will rewind himself out of existence that I have more and more the feeling that this will not happen. And why would a author spoil how his main villain will die before it happens anyway? I still think regarding rewind afo has some ace up his sleeve. Most people thougt he was about to die in the endeavor vs afo fight, because hori made it look like it, just for afo to use rewind in the last moment. And I still refuse to believe that he didnt stole overhaul when he had the perfect oppunity to do that, but instead steals quirks he dosnt even need, like hawks wings (he can fly without wings).
If dfo is involved in his death, I hope he will do some last act out of love and sacrefice himself for izuku, afterall afo was designed after darth vader. It wouldnt redeem him as a human being, but at least maybe as a father. Maybe there will also be some kind of reuniting with yoichis spirit when he dies.
And Im still fond of my crack theory that the afo we see here is just a decoy (some kind of clone) and the real one hasnt even entered the chat yet. Maybe still chills in america. Decoy afo gets killed and in the last chapter hisashi returns from "his job overseas" (he will look different then afo, because dr. Garaki gave some hints that afo can change his appearance/his face), has a nice "welcome home" dinner with inko and izuku, izuku tells him everything that happend the last year (narrative izuku telling his story) and in a moment when both inko and izuku are distracted, we see hisashis warm smile turning a litte sinister and it ends with a close up of his palm with a hole in the center. So the real afo actually wouldnt die, he just waited for a chance to be able to retire from his villain life and made everyone believe he is dead. Yeah I know its crack, but I actually like it 🤪

¡Mirror! Yoru x Reader
Tumblr media
ive had this idea in my head for awhile, im not sure i executed the prompt exactly how i imagined it in my head. the idea was that reader came across yoru's omega counter part after the alpha earth yoru died, and yoru comes across the readers alpha counter part, whos omega version died. both of which having a romantic relationship with eachother on their earths so when they see eachother after both experiencing their deaths its like them reuniting again except through a different version of themselves.
You knew it wasnt him. Well, in a sense, technically, it was. But it wasnt your him, because it wasnt your Yoru.
It wasnt the boy you spent years getting to know, initial hatred falling into partnership, which slowly fell into lust.
It wasnt the Yoru you slowly had fallen inlove with, or the Yoru you spent every second with in and out of the protocol.
It wasnt the Yoru who didnt come back from the mission you begged him not to go on knowing what the inevitable fate that followed it was.
That Yoru was gone, permanently.
Yet there he was standing within feet of you, tangible.
For a second you couldnt almost believe that it wasnt him, it looked just like him. He definitely shared a face but not the same memories.
He wore the same jacket, and his haired geled up in his same signature style. His eyes full of so much life just as once your Yoru's had.
You were more than aware of what agreeing to these missions intitled to, and that was running the risk of fatefully encountering the version of him that wasn't yours.
It'd break you.
Before coming onto the field, you were sure youd be able to keep your composure. It wasnt gaureenteed omega Earth would deploy his dopple ganger but every mission was a gamble to how you'd react upon seeing him.
You didnt hold together well.
Frozen you just stared at him, as he stared back at you. Similiar expression on his face, pure shock. Almost like he couldnt believe you were standing infront of him.
What felt like hours, which must had been no more the a mere few seconds had gone by you were finally broken from your trance when the enemy Yoru spoke up.
"(Y/N)..?"
Not only did he look like your Yoru, the similiarity in his voice was uncanny.
You couldnt react verbally, instead, gently reaching your hand to his cheek, you softly caress his face. You dont know what possessed you to do such things, after all you were aware that this wasnt your Yoru and you were sent to eliminate any omega agents.
But then again what were you supposed to do, the shell of someone who was once the love of your life, the existence of your being, was standing right infront of you again after being so long apart.
Maybe its because you were scared to lose him again, if you werent to touch him he vanish completely like he once did before.
Though this time when you touched him he wasnt cold. Taking in the warmth against your palm. You couldnt believe you were actually touching him again. You had been longing for feeling his warmth once more, the feeling that had been so wrongfully stripped from you.
To your surprise, he didnt pull away, or even react to your touch. He stood there, unable to fathom the fact that you were standing within inches of him now.
Thats when you lost all composure. You threw your arms around the familiar body, squeezing as tightly as you could.
He didnt hug back.
It wasnt his (Y/N) and he knew that.
Just like he wasnt your Yoru.
But you didnt care if it was him or not. A vessel which resembled him stood infront of you, and that was an opportunity you couldnt pass by.
There was always the chance he could just kill you, instantly. Though you wouldnt mind, atleast youd finally be back with your Yoru if that were the case.
Perhaps everytime you got sent out on one of these missions, that it was the end goal. A part of you desperately wish death would grant you the sweet release of freedom. You wouldnt die corwardly alone like you initially planned, instead a hero on the field just like Yoru had.
There was so much you had to say to him. But to the man you were about to speak to it would be words of obscenity.
He doesnt know you.
He doesnt know.
Reality set in, like a painful punch to the gut. You quickly had released the omega agent, realizing your vulnerable state.
"I'm so sorry Yoru. Im sorry I couldnt be there for you when you needed me most."
But again he didnt say anything.
Face to face now, you could finally see how empty his eyes really looked, lifeless, contrary to what you believed to have seen.
He had experienced the pain and loss just as you once did. Deep down he knew the extent of your pain. The sleepless nights, the endless nightmares.
You both craved the touch of death.
Closing your eyes you slowly await your fate, acceptance and remorse fuel your body. Its your time, you needed it to be your time.
However you await a fate you arent granted.
Nothing but silence accompanies you.
Sheepishly you open your eyes to see Yoru no longer in your presence. Dread, yet a sense of melancholy fills the atmosphere.
It feels like the same person had died twice that day.
--------------------------------------------------------
this was my first fic guys pls be nice idk what im doing lol. i hope u enjoy it!! feel free to send val requests ill write for more people in the future.

While it's understandable why they are telling him to stop the Todorokis including Shoto never make it seem like they want Toya back but only ever project the family's problems onto him. Like even when Endeavor finally sees Toya it is only when Toya can't really see him anymore and is in a delusional state due to his fire frying his own brain. I know they are finally releasing their pent up feelings but why is Toya always on the receiving end?
BTW I feel they see Shoto as the family hero because he actually puts in the emotional labour into actually reuniting the family and NOT looking away while the rest of them always looked away until now.
I hope Toya gets a happy ending and not simply seen as the family scapegoat/regret.
@rainygirl2399 Yeah.
Tumblr media
Though, i think they all want Touya back, i think Shouto and Rei are the only ones who actually have hope for this. Fuyumi and Natsuo love their brother and they clearly were traumatized by his death. Thats why Fuyumi said she doesnt want to lose anyone else and thats why Natsuo felt guilty for not listening his brother even after all those years. For them, Touya is still dead.
I do understand why they couldnt help Touya in the past though, Rei was loosing it because she was treated as baby making machine and kids were just kids. They did their best in their own way at that time but i hope they can start seeing that Touya being Dabi is hope for them to become a family again.
But for Rei and Shouto, its different. Which makes sense. For Rei, she is not Touya's sibling, its his mother. She had a mentalbreakdown and hurted Shouto without meaning it so she know what its like to loose yourself. She knows that she let him down, and she wont make the same mistakes again. Thats why she still refered him as his son and apologised for his actions. Thats why she is here to save him.
And with Shouto, one because he was Earlyroki before so he knows that 'dark, revenge feeling' personally. He is hero who has job to save people so for him dealing with villains is part of the job, especially if it his brother. And once again, he is hero because he is familiar to the world of villains more than his family. Meanwhile his family are just civillians, normal people.
I think they all want Touya back, even Endeavour but they dont seem to have much hope, except Shouto and maybe Rei too. And once again, he is the black sheep of the family.
'Dont take them away too, big brother because you are dead anyway'.
'Stop causing any more trouble, brother!'
'You are not gonna hurt any more people!'
'Just kill me, Touya, make me the only one you kill'
Like, if they really want to stop him, they should use better words to reach out to him, instead of leaving him behind again.
And Rei's Shouto is our hero speech....even though, Fuyumi and Natsuo did their best to help their mother all of those years....they should be considered as hero too. Touya is the only one who stand up to Endeavour and the world that Endeavour get away so he is a hero in a way too. Not only they are putting the burden on the 'golden child of the family' but also, making others seem less heroic only because they didnt become hero as job or because they didnt born with right power. This is why Rei and others going to help Touya together is a lot meaningfull than Shouto's doing everything alone because anyone can be hero.

Parents au again shoutout to this post
Basically this au (or an addition to any other au ) Jekylls parents play a role in the story.
Margaret and Ernest
Tumblr media
^ My most recent art of Jekylls mom Margaret, she plays a bigger role in the story. (And btw this art is scanned thought an app bc lighting wasnt great.)
Tumblr media
^ My first art of them both(was trying to figure out their designs) Margarets red dress ended up being her newer clothing and orange one is her in the past.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^My full body refs of them a bit later. I hid Ernests eyes because i couldn't decide which eye colour to give him, green, so that he kinda looks like hyde, or brown. Ended up choosing brown but that may change in the future.
Tumblr media
^Mix with encanto i watched at the time (not the biggest fan of this drawing their head sizes are weird)
Tumblr media
^ Andd art with her missing her past and regreting her actions (mm trauma ☺️)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ In those 3 drawings you can see i wanted to give her a lot of old spots before the initial desing (first picture) but ended up making less of them.
Tumblr media
^ plus height chart (sorry for bad quality im to lazy to redo the photo)
So uhh yeah thats a lot, now to context:
Margaret
[she/her] [60 y.o] [a doctor]
Hers and Ernests marriage was against their will so they have only platonic attraction
She inherited a hospital as a bisness. She is both a boss but also sometimes performs surgeries.
her shortened story [tw mention of death, abuse and depression]:
she was born in arranged marriage family.
her mothers murder was planned and made by her father (who is a leader of a mafia) because family would mess with his (secret) bisness. He sent a infected by him with rabies werewolf
but Margaret survived so he decided to leave her alive, but he used her only for his needs and was abusive and manipulative
She also had later o an arranged marriage with a man (Ernest) she knew from childhoid, but they only ever had platonic feelings for each other
Because of her father threatening her with leaving her with nothing to inherit from her family in his will, which would literally leave her on the streets, if she wouldn't have a child with her husband. At age 25 she had Jekyll.
Margaret grew with prejudice towards magical creatures and mad scientists (because of her mothers murder and the society's influence).
So when she found out her husband helps magical creatures and scientists (hid them from police in a little house in the woods) she on emotions went to the police.
Ernest was imprisoned. Where he died
so it become just her and her son now
for her son it was a hard hit, he loved his father very much
So resentment stayed with him
And Margaret also wasn't able to forgive herself ever since
She also was hyper-protective to her son and often manipulated him out of what she thought will be best for him
So one day they had a big fight because her son, Henry, wanted to create a place where the "mad" scientist who are in bad situation can have a chance to improve and not fear police anymore. She have done an ultimatum, that if he does that, he could never come back. (Or alternatively, when he changes his mind)
So he left, she was now alone, but instead of trying to fix what she had done, her pride didnt let her. Each passing year she convinced herself he will come back. For about 10 years.
she regretted her choices, her actions was haunting her which dived her into depression
But after a hard path, she will come to terms with herself.
That will happen after she will come to society to support it financially. And reunites with her son after them making peace with each other. Which dosent mean forgiveness from Jekylls side.
Alsoo there may be a sub plot about her and Frankenstein becoming "roomates".
Ernest
Well, he was a very positive and caring person. Despite that not that mature or responsible, Margaret was the responsible one. And face of the family.
While he was a househusband, and spent time with Jekyll. Thay got in trouble because Ernest didnt really twice while even little Jekyll sometimes was like "welp thats not a very good idea".
Also considering Ernest maybe inspiring Jekyll to be an alchemist. But himself he most likely had completely other interest. But still supported his son, unlike Margaret.
Mad scientists and creatures he cared for was caught with him, but they managed to escape.
His parents were mostly ignorant of his existence, exept for when that would make them a profit (like with the arranged marriage) . So he promised himself he would always care for Jekyll (🥲)
As to him and Margaret, they were pals, he always was with her when she finally was finally opening up to him. But hid his own feelings under a happy mask.
Was the same age as Margaret. Died when he was 36 (went to jail when he was 35) no one really knows what happened.
(i actually most of the time before were considering him to be alive and Margaret lying that he died, but i changed that for storys sake, i didnt felt like he had much of a purpose in the current status when jekyll is 35. BUT THAT MAY ALSO CHANGE IN THE FUTURE)
So in where hes alive version
I remember vividly daydreaming about jekyll/hyde being exited to see his/their dad after so many years, cleaning society etc while lodgers are confused. Him coming and jekyll being very exited and emotional but not knowing how to tell lodgers. Later on Margaret will come as she recieved an invitation by jekyll, which was actually written by Ernest to reunite their family. (Kinda sugar sweet compared to ver. where he died)
So uhh yeah this au was one of the most thinked about by me. Now not that much but its not forgotten ‼️

I hadn't even thought about Summer dying... could you please elaborate?
its been speculated about because the last hero's dog died in that story old nan tells which certainly seemed to suggest that bran could experience a similar loss. i was never crazy about this theory bc i believed bran would be king in the north and his direwolf is a powerful symbol of his being a stark and that being his rightful place (ect). summer dying didnt make any sense to me if bran was going to rule the north.
but when it was implied by those in the know that grrm intends for bran to be king of the seven kingdoms not just the north i realized summer's death is almost a guarantee. bran has to transcend his identity as a stark in order to rule all the people of westeros. thats going to be just one of his many sacrifices. summer will continue to live on within him forever bc their bond is strong, but the direwolf will not be by his side as he sits the throne.
its clear in the way grrm utilizes the direwolves within the story that they are powerful symbols of stark identity. thats their primary function on a symbolic level. ie: jon will never fully be one of them bc he is a snow. rickon is an oddball raised by a wildling and sansa an outlier who's wolf died. robb was the ultimate stark symbol and then gone. bran will have to become more than a stark to rule the entire realm. and arya is lost like her direwolf.....but they can and will be reunited.
the grey direwolf on an field of ice is the sigil of house stark. it represents them and the place they rule over and no other. thats why i think summer will die. thats also why i still believe the stark in winterfell will have a direwolf by their side in the end.

How death and it's reversal affects my characters
So for now, I have resurrection count up to two: there is Eyris and there is Trahearne.
Tonight I'd like to talk about Eyris, because I am having thoughts about my girlie. Eyris, baby, I'm so sorry.
Eyris needs a while for it all to sink in. When she learns she's dead in the Domain of the Lost and after she regains her memories, she worries about Aurene and her closest friends, but she accepts that there is no way back and she has to just move on into the afterlife.
Then she is sucked out of there and suddenly she is back, alive and in pain because while her body is capable of functioning, it's still in the growth stage. It is due to the place of her resurrection not having enough nutrients (i mean it's a ROCK) for her to just come out in a perfect condition.
After reuniting with Dragon's Watch and Airell, Eyris does everything to focus on Aurene and task at hand. She does not want to confront the fact that she was dead and she is now alive. Because the more she thinks about it, the more fucked up it is.
She was not supposed to be brought back. She knows it was an accident. And I think that's what hurts her a bit? That she "wasn't important enough to be brought back and yet it happened anyway so now people are awkward around her because they were finally free of her". Or at least that's what she tries really hard to push back into the deepest part of her mind.
(Eyris thats not true these people care about you they are awkward because 1) they didnt expect you to be back, 2) Airell committed a taboo by bringing you back and 3) you literally tried to stab rytlock 28 times)
So when all the life-threatening distractions are gone, when all of her close friends leave or are missing, she feels stranded and forced to face the truth. She is not supposed to be alive. She should have stayed dead. Nobody wanted her alive and yet she was there, alive and supposedly well. She was an unwanted accident, she was a problem.
Yes. She spiralled.
So when she suddenly gets this call from "Caithe"... she gets hopeful for the first time in months. Someone needs her. Perhaps her existence isn't an inconvenience after all. You can imagine the pain when it all turns out to be a lie.
Eyris still hasn't really come to terms with her new life. She is avoiding it. Sometimes she even risks her life as if she is baiting Death to take her again. Sadly, her new demon "friend" is very persistent at keeping her alive. And somehow it makes Eyris curious. She wants to know what makes that demon tick. She wants to test her, push her to the limits.
Eyris and Peitha are playing a very dangerous game of metaphorical chess. And Death is watching.
