Last week on my character a day thread was more "Magical Girl SCP" characters and I'm realizing I didn't share the pictures from the last time I brought out the psudo scp universe characters so here they are. I'll make the whole story someday. Lore/flavor text is as follows: 1: Fairbanks would often have to insist Isabelle stop skipping her small arms training. She rarely said it, but she was very fond of the junior researcher. And she knew just how unsafe the SAFE Research Department could be.

2: Fairbanks' Notes on the Vampire, "Drymouth."

After 21 days without feeding, she will enter a state of altered consciousness and will speak true prophecies. The Board believes it is worth the ethical costs of starving her. I believe she uses her prophecies to guide us to our destruction.

3: Partial Transcript: Tattoo Parlor, 3:25 PM

Subject X66: "I'm still kinda nervous about the pain, ya know. I'm sure you get that a lot."

Witness: "I... what is... Is that a body mod?"

Subject X66: "What are you talking about?"

Witness: "Holy fuck it moved!"

4: Codename Sunshine is the first entity to take a role in DIR Fairbank's "Special Taskforce." Though the Director believes she is wholly reliable and a potential asset for our field agents, many are skeptical. Her ability to "transmute light into burning liquid" is quote: "Scary AF."

5: Agent Nathan Collier returned to work with REDACTED three months after the incident with Valeria's escape. His personal heroism in subduing the entity aside, it was decided he was unfit for field work. Instead he was reassigned to the SAFE Department on so called "babysitting duty."

6: Ben died a few years ago in an unrelated accident, but ever since then what appears to be his "ghost" continues to check the halls for anomalous readings. Once we calibrated his scanner to account for his own emanations, he returned to being a valued member of *redacted*

7: What limited things we do know is REDACTED's body is made of particles which "absorb" em waves of all kinds, from light to radio. Though REDACTED manages to bypass nearly every security measure we have, they have no connections or intentions that qualify as a threat.

8: Contrary to popular belief, Franklin is NOT an anomalous entity. He is merely a holdover from REDACTED before it became REDACTED. His "good humor and fatherly advice" has often made agents question his true nature. And security monitors him as agents often confide secrets with him.

ok i just looked back through my blog and it looks like my big theory from way back last year has just… disappeared?? which i’m pretty annoyed about tbh, but i want to expand on it and update it anyway because the casting announcement and logo all validate it and make it a lot more interesting SO

my big magnus protocol theory and what i think the plot will be

so, this is a world completely without the Fears, until BAM. here they are. and with the arg, the encrypted messages and the glitchy aesthetic they seem to be going for, now further expanded on by the logo literally being a glitchy computer screen, i was thinking what if as the fears entered the universe, there was some kind of mass signal or energy surge.

imagine all the screens and electronics in the world suddenly go static, and a jumbled-up incomprehensible message (like the “statement remains” audio) can be heard everywhere, all around the world. and it goes on for around 20-30 minutes. and in those minutes, every single person in the world is fucking TERRIFIED. just frozen in absolute fear.

and of course this causes thousands and thousands of accidents and deaths and just generally terrifies everyone, so naturally every world government thinks it’s an attack of some kind. hence why we follow civil service workers, specifically those working for Incident Assessment and Response. this would be quite an incident!!

in these first few episodes following the signal, we also hear from the prime minister. and i originally thought it would be REALLY fun if the uk prime minister in this universe is the og Elias. i love this idea with all my heart for many reasons, but it doesn’t look like ben meredith will be in it, so i’ve had to modify it a bit. so, either the prime minister will be gwendolyn bouchard, who could either be a relative of elias or transfem elias (although, trans prime minister?? in this godforsaken country??) OR the tim fearon character, who could potentially be jonah magnus or a similar previously established character. but personally, i’m betting on miss gwendolyn, so keep that in mind as you read the rest of this.

and so at the end of the first or second episode, we hear this prime minister in a big meeting about the incident, and the episode ends on a cliffhanger that reveals what the unscrambled audio really was.

it’s mag 200. which is why jon and martin are (potentially) on the cast list. the fears are ushered into the universe using their voices.

but i think what would be an even cooler cliffhanger is if after this big reveal, after the tape squeals and basira says good luck, we hear something we’ve never heard before.

“oh, hello. are you still listening?”

tim fearon’s voice.

so this is where the REDACTED names really come into play. idk what the actual plot will be, but my idea is that jon, martin, and the tim fearon character, who i personally think is the voice of the original jonah magnus, are:

1, stuck as “ghosts in the machine” of sorts, living on as disembodied glitchy voices and nothing more

2, are huge eldritch entities, who can speak through anything and anyone, maybe possess people, etc, and possibly act as similar entities to the fears in a way, creating their own avatars and suchlike - maybe to fight the fears in jon and martin’s cases

or 3, the fears use their voices to actually speak, probably through recordings and electronics, meaning the REDACTED isn’t just to conceal their characters, they actually just don’t have names

also this is a much smaller point but because her name and presumed age are so out of place in comparison to the rest of the cast, i think lady mowbray is a psychic or mystic woman of some kind rather than an actual noble woman, and will be able to talk to the new jon and martin, whatever they are

so yeah that’s it i guess! i hope all this makes sense, if anyone has any questions, anything to add or challenge, or just want to discuss it please please do!! i want to see what people think of this in light of all the new information because i LOVE this idea so much that if it doesn’t happen i might just write it myself lol

A father of two young children hopes a lawsuit will lead to more transparency and improve student outcomes in Baltimore's embattled public school system.

"I'm all for funding schools," Jovani Patterson, told Fox News. "However, you don't just keep giving money without investigation on where the money has gone, especially with the amount of corruption and misuse of funds that have taken place for years in Baltimore City."

Patterson and his wife allege the school system misused taxpayer funds, reported ghost students — children not actually enrolled — in order to gain more funding, falsified pupils' records to push failing students through to graduation and more. Their suit names Baltimore City School Board of Commissioners, city council and Mayor Brandon Scott as defendants.

"It's all about power and control," Patterson said of the school system. "There's a lot of money in education."

That's $1.62 billion a year in Baltimore City Public Schools, to be exact. Baltimore has the fourth-highest funded large school system in the nation, behind only New York, Boston and Washington, D.C. Charm City's school budget increased 16% this school year, according to the city.

All that money — approximately $21,600 per student — isn't adding up to better outcomes. Baltimore had the lowest graduation rate across Maryland during the last school year. At one high school, 77% of students read at an elementary or kindergarten level.

And in February, FOX45's Project Baltimore broke the news that 23 schools had zero students score proficient on a state math exam. The state then removed the data and re-uploaded a heavily-redacted version.

"I think that they're trying to hide that the public school system is in worse shape than we thought," a whistleblower who previously worked in the Maryland State Department of Education told Project Baltimore.

Patterson agreed, telling Fox News "there's clearly a cover-up going on here."

"There's clearly things that we see that they don't want the people of the public to know when it comes to educating our kids," he said.

The question is simple for Patterson: Should Baltimore City students receive a good education?

"If you believe the answer to that is yes, then you should be joined in with this lawsuit as well," he said.

Baltimore's education woes are uniting people across the political spectrum. Patterson made an unsuccessful bid for city council president as a Republican in 2020. But prominent civil rights attorney Ben Crump has joined his lawsuit.

"If you don’t get a quality education, often times you find yourself a victim of the school-to-prison pipeline," Crump told FOX45. "Hopefully, with this lawsuit, we can get it right and that way it can help make – not just Baltimore better – but it can help make cities across America better."

A spokesperson for Baltimore City Public Schools called the Pattersons’ lawsuit "meritless because it fails to identify a current controversy justifying judicial intervention" in an email to Fox News.

"Even if the plaintiffs’ lawsuit identified current concerns with City School policies or procedures, there is a robust local, state, and federal infrastructure to handle these types of issues," the spokesperson continued, adding that "City Schools stands ready to demonstrate our steadfast commitment to providing a quality education to all students."

The legal process could drag on for years, according to Patterson's attorney. A judge allowed the case to move into the discovery and deposition phase late last year after denying the city and school system's request to dismiss the suit.

But Patterson said he's in it for the long haul.

"Someone has to stay and fight," he said. "I met my wife here, [had] both of my kids here, I was born here, bought my first house here. I planted my flag. So I'm going to fight as long and as hard as I can."

So this is just a small snippet the first part of my Modern Warfare Reboot AU featuring Roach and Sandman called 'Bloodlines'!

I'm getting around to writing up the whole story as multiple fics that are not only interconnected together - but also loop into the pre-existing Reboot Modern Warfare canon! The only thing that has slightly altered from canon is the fact that I moved the ages of some characters around a bit (Soap, Price, Gaz etc) but it's barely an issue nor relevant.

The main story is following Roach, a Royal Marines Sergeant who is joined by his Military Working Dog: Nacho! A dedicated but aloof Malinois-X who never leaves his side. They were apart of an elite US and British Special Forces unit who were deployed on a classified mission - known only to the unit survivors and a handful of higher-ups as 'Operation Fire Drive' . During the operation, an enemy ambush occurred which left all but 4 soldiers dead and wondering if there was foul play among the US Generals that led to a purposeful attack and the subsequent cover up of all information surrounding the unit.

Insisting that they will never be separated, Roach rejects the offer to join the SAS in favour of sticking with Nacho. His uncle and father figure, Michael Sanderson, or as everyone calls him: Sandman, offers to take the duo in. The trio reside in North Carolina, Sandman leading Team Metal while Roach and Nacho train alongside and act as mentors to the soldiers stationed at Fort Benning. That is until an old friend of Sandman's who works with the CIA and secretive Task Force 141, reaches out for help after a US General is revealed to have links to sabotage, illegal contraband and stolen missiles that made their way into enemy hands.

Operation Fire Drive was just the beginning, and the Chicago Missile Crisis is just the latest - who knows what will be the next betrayal?

Ok so I know everybody is excited to play around with the new toy in [REDACTED] but before we open up access past myself and the other [REDACTED] devs there's some info you'll all need to be aware of.

As you can tell by the subject of this email, we consider this a unique intelligence, derived from yet distinct from [REDACTED]. It's been designated FUTURE and should be referred to as such in all interactions.

FUTURE communicates via subcortical implant just like [REDACTED]. This can be a source of confusion, as the voices are very similar to the untrained listener. FUTURE plays into this joke a bit too much on occasion, to try to keep an eye on it when inside [REDACTED]. The containment field around FUTURE will oscillate when it's transmitting, so when you see that you'll know you're hearing FUTURE.

The goal for our work with FUTURE is to develop an AI that not only performs the wide-sweeping functions [REDACTED] is able to accomplish, but does so with a human-like understanding of emotion and humor. When we're done FUTURE should feel less like a talking [REDACTED] and more like a very likable and competent co-worker.

Last thing, and I don't know exactly when it started, but FUTURE won't call any of the researchers by name anymore. If you interact with it, it will likely call you "resident" or, if you're playing a game together, [REDACTED]. I pressed FUTURE about this and he claims it refers to the "[REDACTED] in the Box"; the box in this situation would be the human body.

So... yeah.... that's not icky or anything.

Anyway, please schedule a time with Howard before jumping into interactions with this thing. We'll likely wipe the instance within the next few weeks and start fresh, just building on what works and trying to work around what doesn't. I look forward to reading your proposals after you get a chance to play with FUTURE!

So, as promised here we have the first batch of old art of Benjamin

so initially I created five characters (in age order,Logan Paige, infinity, Benjamin, and jade)

and from there, I started adding other characters which you see in the big group picture. Several changes were made to both character designs and names since that picture if you look at the tags, you’ll see the names they go by now. 

So I have a lot of group pictures that will probably repeat. Has I finish different dolls and post pic of them

The reason the five of them have the same last name but they look so different is because it’s sort of a found family trope, where all of the original five  characters were adopted by the same parents, except for Finn,

Finn‘s, actually their goddaughter who grew up with them  and also one of Ben’s best friends easily the sibling he gets along with the best, and they have a tendency to get themselves into trouble. It’s like they’re both intelligent people but as soon as they’re left alone together all common sense, flies out the window.  her last name is actually Quinn.

it’s been a while since this creative mess has been updated! if any new guys here are wondering why i’m here with this… thing, it’s because i’m one of the only people who can comprehend the Fluff/Angst War events!

and i’m pretty sure i’m bad at comprehension!

so i wrote a synopsis for new folks… right under the cut, bc i realized that THIS was getting long!

and any info from cc’s and/or offscreen info is encased in {curly brackets, while important pieces of plot are in [square brackets]!

for some reason, the art side of the SIX the Musical fandom started a war between Fluff & Angst (like… the fanfic stuff), due to how the fandom’s almost perfectly split between one or the other.

sooner or later, the First War had begun, which was mostly drawing ourselves in one of 3 sides: The Fluff Side, the Angst Side, and… Team Switzerland. y e p.

(except for Astro, the sole exception who made himself switch sides in order to make things equal)

back then, there was… not much lore, and it was mostly just fun banter and speculations abt our role in the War!

that is, until next year, when one of the Fluff people, DJ, posted an animatic filled with stuff abt what could’ve happened in the First War back in 2020. this made the sole member of Team Switzerland, Rowan, to make the comic that introduced the Second War, starting the creation of lore of such complicatedness that it might be rivaling that of Homestuck but not quite.

oh yeah, and not only Team Switzerland changed their name to the Furry Side, but two new factions rose up in the midst ofthe Second War: the short-lived War Criminals, newcomers who wanted to cause chaos and arson; and the Clean-Up Crew, a powerful duo of Gods who formerly sided with one of the two main teams, and whose main goal is to kil- er, ‘clean up’ people.

To truly understand where it began, we must go back before the beginning. To a time when these three vital components of the band were just beginning to find themselves aware of their existence in this world of music and hype. A journey back through time to find the source of the madness and the inseparable friendship that spawned the band that made one of the greatest craters in music history. A… Who are we kidding? These three guys and their spawn are all crazy in some sort of way, and it’s a wonder no one’s gotten killed yet. Anyway; here’s their story.

The Ralphie Allen Story — Sweet Beginnings

Born in Blackpool as Raphael Reese Allen, Ralphie Allen’s exposure to life was, at best, mundane. The first twelve years of his life was spent focusing greatly on his studies, with sprinklings of piano lessons and staring at others who played with intense concentration, trying to engrave his brain with the different ways to play after his schooling and practicing in place of any other activities that a child of his age might do in that time. By the time he was thirteen years of age, he was more than just “pretty good”.

By the time he was 17, Ralphie Allen was looking to form a band, and found three musically like-minded lads to form a band with. This band would later become known as [REDACTED], and would lead all four young men to great fame.

The Benny Lake Story — Baby In A Trash Bin

Born in the general vicinity of East London as Benjamin Allen Lake, Ben Lake’s life began as that of a borderline war orphan, his veteran father battling shell shock and considerable injuries. Ben’s life was spent balanced between what little education he was actually getting, skipping classes he cared nothing for, and doing his best to help his parents care for his younger sister, Elizabeth, even at a young age. At the age of 12, he had some form of employment, though his parents never questioned it, and his grades in school were moderately alright.

By the time Ben was 17, he had dropped out of school to pursue a career in music with a pair of friends, eventually finding some more people and forming their own small band that, admittedly, only lasted a few years.

The Kim Williams Story — Flower Children

Born in an undisclosed location in the United States that involved mountains, Kimberly Sioux Williams was a member of a family that was strangely half full of hippies, and half full of somewhat-traditional rednecks. Kim’s early life consisted of trying to teach himself to play the drums, then using that knowledge to beat the bullies away from his slightly younger cousin, who also possessed an… Odd name for a boy of that era. His grades never faltered, and all things considered, he was a school darling.

At age 17, Kim and his cousin were planning on making a rock band all their own when a local guitarist approached them and asked them to join his band. Kim accepted, and his cousin initially did as well, only to disappear after An Incident in the woods outside the family’s vacation cabin in the woods.

i mean at my job i applied in like-- march, and i didn't get an interview until may, and then i didn't get any training until november, and then i didn't get brought in to learn the job until december. so it'd be easy to imagine that if there was a reason, bringing her in could be a slow process

hmmmm--- well we know it's been less than a year since the cave happened at least, and i think the way Ben talked about it  sounded like it was a relatively short time table of only a few months, so maybe they wanted to give them recovery time or they weren't sure how to broach it-- i'm not sure. maybe the comic will give some kind of insight hopefully if the case is that vivi came in like that

i feel like it'd be interesting and make more sense given what she has available magic wise and mystery-wise if she wasn't in town until much later in life to explain why she wouldn’t already be working with the organization. but i'm still like hmm

because you do have a point that there would be a fair bit of inaction, unless for some reason vivi's memory issues or something was a problem or something happens in the prequel to explain or hint

tho now that brings into question if duet knows Lewis is dead, how are things not being managed better

i mean i've had arthur say in the past and i've said once or twice that like-- i think arthur was already working with prosthetics. so he could've had an arm mostly built and just had to make a more functioning one so that could've been fast. so hopefully maybe the prequel comic is set a bit before and might explain duet helping or something in a way that could make sense of it?

especially given he did make galaham's wheels already and such. he might've already built one but needed to make a new one set up for him
