The Deep Sky
scifi mystery thriller
on a deep space mission traveling from an environmentally devastated earth with hope to restart humanity elsewhere
when they’re halfway, an explosion kills 3 crew and pushes them off course
the only witness is the Alternate who has no specific role, and she has to figure out who caused it & if they might continue to sabotage, while they're figuring out a way to get back on course with limited resources
flips between present and the past: of her childhood and training for the mission, her identity struggles, and relationship with her mother
questions the ethics of ‘restarting’ humanity elsewhere vs putting resources into fixing earth

dehradun days
you meet them for the first time,
knowing it's probably the last.
might as well make the most of this time,
since life comes at you fast.
you find the strangest of signals
in the no-network zones.
cross-tent communication with folks,
just rambling about the unknown.
there's the warmth of shared laughter,
that carries you through freezing nights,
and you look up at the flickering stars,
to finally see things in a different light.
and at 11,000 ft above sea level
you finally reach the peak,
just to realise the joy was in the journey,
and the friends you made that week.
you'll visit caves & splendid cafes,
and remember the city in mere parts,
but years later, you'll still tell everyone,
how dehradun captured your heart.

Writing Prompt - The Backrooms AU
What if The Backrooms are just another part of The Infinite Realms. It is mostly just the underformed areas of lairs from people that have had near death experiences and were about to become ghosts. In those moments between life and ghost life they start to imprint their lair onto the zone. Only because they never die and become a ghost the process is stopped and you get a weird almost place. Normally just an odd fragment of a room or an object. Most of the time these almost lairs fragment and fade away quickly into the regular floating chunks of terrain and items of the general realms. Rarely they hold on longer and become neutral territory that another ghost can claim and use to expand their lair. In the rarest instances it crashed into another chunk of almost lair and merges forming into the mass known as The Backrooms. Sort of like the ghost equivalent of the Pacific Garbage Patch only made of chunks of rooms and odd objects.
It is of course the best place that Danny knows to hold ultimate paintball. Just slap a Fenton Tracker™ on everyone so that no one gets too lost.

Virtual Reality
What exactly is virtual reality? Virtual reality (VR) is a computer-generated environment with realistic-looking scenes and objects that immerses the user in their surroundings.
Virtual reality (VR) is a completely computer-generated three-dimensional environment that is displayed either on a computer screen or through special displays.
Virtual reality is most commonly used in entertainment applications such as video games, 3D cinema, amusement park rides, including dark rides, and social virtual worlds. Consumer virtual reality headsets were first released by video game companies in the early to mid-1990s.
What is a good example of virtual reality?
Virtual reality, or VR, is a technology that creates a virtual environment. People interact in those environments using, for example, VR goggles or other mobile devices. It is a computer-generated simulation of an environment or 3-D image where people can interact in a seemingly real or physical way.
What is the impact of virtual reality?
Healthcare: VR will have a huge impact on how the medical community diagnoses and treats diseases and illnesses. Right now, VR is being used to detect glaucoma, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer's disease. It has also begun to establish itself as a useful tool for treating PTSD and anxiety disorders, dementia, and autism.

What are some heart broken however realities about human existence?
We battle a great deal for animal types that won't endure as long as 150 years in this day and age.
You're similar to a scent when you're rich and like a smell when they're poor.
You can't get away from preliminaries and passing regardless of how diligently you attempt.
No one is indispensable aside from your family assuming you're fortunate.
The world in many cases won't view you in a serious way on the off chance that you're not fruitful.
Providers ought to continuously have limits since takers don't. Assuming you neglect to, a large portion of them will be quick to snicker at you when you lose everything.
Time is the greatest type of riches. You might be sound and intentional at the present time and the following second you're dead.

-->When Nalani called Alice and said that her best high score on the motion gaming mats at Geekcon had been beaten – was Alice interested in coming along and setting a new record? Alice was, and invited Victor and Smiler along too. Well, that was easy. XD
And so the trio joined Nalani at Geekcon, with the explicit goal of hopping on the gaming mats and playing some games! So, naturally, the gaming mats was the first place the trio went (though not Nalani herself, ironically – she went to hang out on the couch in front of the big-screen TV instead), with Victor and Alice playing Blicblock (as that was ALL they could play – they’re not really gamers), and Smiler taking on The R.E.F.U.G.E. (a dungeon-crawler, from what I can see). Victor and Alice finished first, as their games were shorter – Alice ran to use the toilet in the nearby karaoke bar, while I discovered Victor and Nalani no longer knew each other (darn relationship culling) and had them get reacquainted over by the computer area (fortunately they hit it off again pretty well). Smiler, meanwhile, got a call from Tina Tinker about having a kid once they were set with their game – after a moment’s thought, I had Smiler tell them to go for it, why not. XD So there’ll be a new Tinker baby in the world in the near future!
-->And then, it was competition time, as the Ultimate Gaming Test and the Hackathon both started! I had Smiler participate in both – on the UGT, they scored 70 out of 100, which got them $100 simoelons and a future cube; on the Hackathon, they got 85% and thus won first prize and ANOTHER nice computer! XD Maybe they’ll give that one to Victor and Alice... Oh, and what were THEY doing while Smiler was winning competitions? Why, observing the sky with the telescope and napping on a nearby bench, of course! XD To be fair, Victor really needed the sleep after having been woken up early, and Alice was having fun in the telescope – AND she got a nice print out of it too! We’ll have to put that up on the wall later. :)
-->Anyway, with the competitions participated in, Smiler went and found Nalani in front of the big screen again, chatted with her for a bit, then got a drink from her wrist to soothe their burgeoning thirst. Alice, meanwhile, came out of the telescope once she'd gotten her pretty sky print – unsure what to do with her, I had her go and work on the rocket in-progress. And then decided, “You know what, that’s a nice way to end the festival for everybody” and had Smiler and Victor join her once they were full and awake respectively, tinkering until the timer ran out on their “attend Geekcon and play games” event (with me observing the latest in Townie Fashion as they did -- the green-gnome-cap-tuxedo-pincushion-bracelet fit is IN). They made decent progress on said rocket -- got to the second stage and all -- but Victor and ESPECIALLY Smiler ended up pretty darn stinky as a result. Good thing Victor has Scruberoo! Victor then grabbed a poster from the nearby electrical box and TRIED to go to the bathroom (which was occupied by another completely naked Sim O.o -- at least they weren't wandering around in the general public like last time?) while Alice and Smiler hung out on the couch in front of the TV watching movies and sharing stories –

Narrated by Colin Farrell, Gloomy Eyes (2019) tells the story of the sun who got tired of humans and decided to hide and never rise again. The darkness awoke the dead. Colin loves a good love story. A zombie boy falls in love with a mortal girl. 💕
I could listen to Colin’s voice all day 😍
