Kinktober Day 16
Roleplay
MINORS DNI
warnings: soft dom top gn genitals ambiguous (kinda, reference to them having a cock, but could be strap) reader, sub bottom Barbatos, (faux) virginity kink, premature ejaculation, roleplay, barbie's genitals are kinda ambigious too.. youre just messing w his hole he could be rocking w whatever
"Has anyone ever touched you here?" you ask softly, pressing your fingers against his hole. Barbatos whines, his face flushing as he shakes his head no.
It's a game, of course someone has touched him there, you were balls deep inside of him just last week, but you're so far into the game that for a second you believe him.
"That's okay darling, I'll be so slow," you rub gently against his slick entrance, "and so gentle with you," you promise.
"Thank you," he mumbles softly, twitching against your touch. You press a finger into him slowly. Barbatos clenches around you, scrunching his eyes closed, "oh," he gasps softly.
"Does it hurt?" he shakes his head at your question,
"No, no. It is strange," he admits, squirming under you, "but good," he breathes, his eyes fluttering open as his hole clenches around your finger. "Touch— touch me more, please?" he begs. You moan, getting to work on stretching him open for you,
"Of course baby," you kiss his inner thigh, and Barbatos shudders, letting out a breathy sigh. "I'm gonna make you feel so good," you nibble at his skin, "gonna make you feel things you've never felt before,"
"Please, oh, please," his voice is so quiet— just barely above a whisper— as he pleads for you. You slip in another finger, and his back arches, a high-pitched moan leaving his lips.
Scissoring your fingers, Barbatos opens up for you, slowly but surely getting ready to take your cock.
"It feels— I feel so guh-good," he confesses, sounding amazed, "you feel, ah, so so deep, please, am I ready yet?" You shake your head, but feel your patience thin as your loins burn with lust.
Adding a third, your curl all your fingers towards his bladder and Barbatos lets out a hiccuped moan, his eyes going wide. Your jaw drops as you watch him cum from just your fingers. It's been a long time since he's been so worked up, so sensitive. You work him through it, thrusting your fingers quickly into his wet and worked hole.
He comes down with a pleased sigh, relaxation settling into his bones. He gives you a bashful smile, a downright adorable blush working across his cheeks.
"Sorry," he mumbles. You lean up to kiss him, keeping your fingers lodged deep inside of him.
"You don't need to apologize, my love," he bites his lip at your words, "that was so hot. It must have been overwhelming to have my fingers fucking—" and the way he lets out a soft gasp at your crass words, like he's never heard you say it before, only adds to your arousal— "your tight hole. Felt too good you just didn't know what to do with yourself, isn't that right?" He nods, tucking his hair behind his ear.
"Yes," he confesses easily, squeezing around your fingers, "I still want you inside me, if that is still something you want?"
"Oh yes Barbie," you tease, kissing him again, "though I don't know if I can keep my promise to be gentle with you."
Barbatos' eyes twinkle, and a mischievous smile works it's way onto his face, "That is quite alright, beloved. I think I can take it."

Here is part one of my thoughts, notes, and reactions to Red Versus Blue Season 9 as a first time watcher!
Yes, I have heard the news about Rooster Teeth. No I will not let that stop me from binging this series one way or another!
The rest of each individual season will be posted separately instead of being a reblog of the first post… mainly because I saw how egregiously long my post on season 8 was.
Season 9 Part 1:
Epsilon… what do you mean nobody’s called you “Director” in a really long time? Sir, season 8 was probably just a couple months ago… I think…
I don’t know how much time has passed from S8 to S9
FIRST OF ALL TUCKER, CHURCH IS CABOOSE’S BEST FRIEND
Wait… how can you get winded if you’re an AI. I mean I know Epsilon is in a memory unit, but does that mean he relives everything in a human body too?
It does make sense that Epsilon doesn’t really know how to use a Rifle. Sure, Church (or Alpha? Imma stick with church) didn’t know how to properly use it either, but he did know how to adjust the scope.
“Torqued in my pants” pffft…
WOAH TUCKER?! You did WHAT IN ALONE TIME? WHAT THE HELL’S “ALONE TIME”? 😦
Erm… what the Metal Gear? I unironically love this stealth mission thing. And knowing South Dakota… I wonder how long it’ll take for this to go tits up…
I’m betting five to ten minutes
also, YESS THE BIG BUCKS BUDGET OF ANIMATED CG SCENES RETURNS.
South MY GOD LISTEN UP?! HAVE YOU NEVER PLAYED ANY STEALTH GAME?! Set up the MOTION DECTETORS!!!
As someone who’s had years of experience sneaking past light sleepers in the dead of night for snacks and video games… I could do this better than you South Dakota.
SOUTH THIS IS WHY WE SET OUR SOLITON RADAR!!! I mean motion detectors… sorry I got Metal Gear Solid on the brain
MY GOD THE ANIMATION?! THE TAG TEAMING?! What happened that got South Dakota to eventually abandon North Dakota?
I too could take 50 of them South… in a fight… definitely a fight
Oop I saw that in the background! Who’s that?!
OOH THEY BAITED ME WITH THE BLACK ARMOR! They almost made me think it Tex… it’s actually well… whoever this cyan lady is
Supportive Sarge? He WANTS to hear the blue perspective? He DOESN’T want to command and yell at his subordinates?
GRIF? CLEANING? Actually I could get behind Maid Grif.
“I actually like being talked down to” woah WOAH SIMMONS?! 🤨 real, me too…
I mean… at least Donut’s still kept his accidental yet somewhat intentional innuendos. And, also his diary apparently…
Damn SHUT UP SOUTH DAKOTA! SHUT UP!! NOBODY HEAR WANTS TO HEAR YOUR SHIT!
North? WHOAH ANIMATED FACES?! NORTH DAKOTA WITH THE CLUTCH!!
Medics = bad luck. Honestly… yeah for you guys they are.
THE PHOTOSHOPPED WET FLOOR SIGN AND MOP IS KILLING ME
The ultimate OTP battle: Caboose x Sheila versus Caboose x Email
Listen… Tucker… never in a million years will I ever call you Professor Fuck
Damn the Freelancer Program only has ranked mode? No wonder they’re all assholes
CONNECTICUT? SHE’S CT? Yeah I can see why you’re so mad about your low rank… you’ll get your shit rocked by Professor Fuck of all people. Fuck it… it’s a funny name
So like… you know you’ve got absolutely dogshit rizz when Caboose has a better shot at dating someone than you.
Speaking of which… Caboose is now in my top 5 of the most dateable guys in this show. Like take this quote from him:
“I just really want to meet someone nice. Someone who appreciates me for who I am not so much because I’m pretty but because they really want to get to know me…”
HOW HAS THIS MAN NOT WOOED THE HEARTS OF THOUSANDS?
Tucker has NO rizz…
Oh wow Epsilon, just drop the existential dread on your teammates like that with no warning. It is a damn good thing your teammates either don’t understand it or don’t care.
Huh… seems even in a memory unit in which everyone is different fate still finds a way to make Grif lazy and sarcastic again.
Then again, that’s kinda happening with the rest of Red Team as well, minus Simmons and Lopez
Also, LOPEZ IS BACK! And this time is immediately beefing with Simmons… or rather the other way around.
“I’ll show you who’s likable and funny, and who people like” SIMMONS BABY ITS YOU! YOUR THE ONE I LOVE! YOUR THE ONE I NEED!
I just like Simmons… a perfectly normal amount…
Conclusion: this season already fucking ROCKS I LOVE IT! HOLY SHIT THIS IS AWESOME!

First Impressions of Animorphs!
I'm listening to the Animorphs series while I work, through Animorphs Aloud - a fan made reading of the series. Here are my first impressions/random thoughts about them! Spoilers below if you haven't read them.
Book 11: The Forgotten
Been a while since I done one of these huh? I caught up with all the recorded books so pace is gonna slow down considerably.
Advantage of having smooth brain -> no place for yeerk to hide
We gonna have monkey morph in this book? In a jungle? How are they gonna get to a bloody jungle
Hm interesting that we're being given a specific time. I'm guessing there's going to be time travel in this book, which is always a tricky subject
The fly and cockroach morphs definitely feel over-represented. Could have been a seagull or a pigeon. Then the cars and rain would be no problem.
Do you guys ever wonder what things are too big to have meaning with our human perception?
Serious doubts that Ax can drive this thing. I smell hubris.
Well, goal achieved of having humans see the spaceship? That's something!
The sound effects of this audiobook are delightful I must say
Having two dracon beams hitting one another is a pretty easy feat to achieve if you put your mind to it. I wonder why sario rips aren't more of a problem. Or do they happen all the time and there's protocol.
Don't worry guys, all the animals are just poisonous. Just don't eat any of them and you'll be fine! I expect better from you animal-expert Cassie
There's been a lot of emphasis on Jake making decisions in this book so far. And all of them seem to be the wrong one
Pfff piranhas?? I've worked with piranhas they're absolute cowards, takes them ages to approach a dead bit of meat. You guys are fine. I guess they were a big trope back in the day, still kind of funny to see though knowing what they're really like.
Oooooh. Ax is the space cadet monkey. I legitimately got confused when this was said in the earlier flashback. Thought we were gonna meet some new alien that looked like a monkey ha.
I wish humans had evolved to keep more of our climbing capabilities instead of being so ground based. We're not even very good on the ground except with stamina.
Sudden jungle natives! They might not be able to tackle a Hork-Bajir head on but I bet those guys are susceptible to venom/poison. Also really lucky that a monkey spirit is something good to them and not some horrible demon.
Jaguars eat bloody crocodiles man. Funny how piranhas are hyped up as super scary but not the jaguar which is honestly the most badass of the big cats. They can bite through SKULLS.
Obviously a trap.
Called it.
Wait so the way to get out of the sario rip was straight up dying. That's...dark. But what would an animorph book be without a little bit of trauma?
So I guess ultimately nothing mattered in this book since it was all erased? Shame they lost the monkey morph.

hello 👋🏻 i love your ons writing so far and now I'm here to request some kissing/cuddling headcanons for Urd and Ky please.
Crash! Bang! Thudthudthudthudthud! Sounds of a 5’2 midget desperate for validation falling down the stairs. A cat screeches in the distance. I skid into the room with a cartoony sound effect, before tripping over my own two feet and falling flat on my face.
A NEW?? REQUEST?? Absolutely! I actually like writing Urd a lot more than originally I thought I would. There will come a day when I get tired of getting asks... But today is not that day!!
Urd Geales
Tumblr media
Image my lazy ass found on google- ^
💡 kisses and cuddles are strictly an in-private thing. He has a reputation to maintain! Even when it's just the two of you, he's still unlikely to initiate. Don’t try to initiate in public, he will push you away.
💡 Very slow, tender kisses. He's such a gentleman! He would never do anything that isn't ok with you. Despite not having a lot of experience, he's surprisingly well-read. His lips are very soft, even if they’re as cold as ice! They’ll warm up the more you kiss, don’t worry! (contrary to what most writers seem to think, vampires don’t radiate cold. They’re just ectothermic. Like reptiles.)
💡 His favorite kisses are quick pecks on the lips. Greeting kisses, goodbye kisses, good morning kisses, good night kisses; quick and simple is what he likes. A kiss on the cheek or forehead is also acceptable.
💡 Urd actually likes cuddles a lot more than he lets on. It's very relaxing, and heaven knows this poor vampire needs a bit of relaxing after work. He's quite literally got the weight of the world on his shoulders, and it's very fortunate that he has you to remind his workaholic ass to take it slow and rest.
💡 He doesn't really have a preference for big or little spoon, either is fine. He does, however, like when you lay on him. It doesn’t hurt him, especially if you’re tiny, it’s just like a weighted blanket. And if you’re human (which honestly is pretty unlikely with how uptight he is), he gets the added bonus of you being warm.
Ky Luc
Tumblr media
🔹🤎 Unlike Mr. High-And-Mighty Vampire King, Ky has absolutely no opposition to PDA. He'll probably give you surprise kisses or random hugs absolutely anywhere. I've said before that Ky is like a diluted Ferid.
🔹🤎 Very excited, sloppy kisses. He has no idea what he's doing, but by gosh is he trying his bestest. Definitely not as much of a gentleman as Urd, and he will let his hands wander all over your body while you kiss. You might have to slap him because he touched you somewhere you didn't want to be touched. No worries though, he won't do it again once he knows you don't like it.
🔹🤎 Did somebody say ‘The Pocky Game’?? Even though his technically-dead body can’t digest pocky, he still loves the game. And he will play it with more than just pocky. Anything decently long (or not) that has two ends for people to eat from is fair game. Spaghetti? Sure! Gummy worms? Absolutely! Twizzlers? Definitely! Literally anything will work.
🔹🤎 His favorite kisses are neck kisses. I bet you thought that would be Ferid's thing, huh? It is, but it's also Ky's thing. Ky is second only to Ferid Bathory himself when it comes to teasing, and he loves to fluster you. He'll sneak up behind you, grab you, and attack your neck with kisses. He might nibble a bit, but not full-on bite. It’s against the rules to drink directly from a human, after all, and he doesn’t want to disappoint lord Geales!
🔹🤎 Ky is the cuddliest little fuck out there. He's usually the big spoon, but he isn't opposed to being held and fussed over. He loves to just smother you with his body and wrap his arms (and legs, if he can) around you. He loves to have you on his lap, too. You won’t escape his grip. This is your fate now. You’re stuck with just letting him snuggle you, and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Special!!!!Yumigeta Ako (23.11.28)
Good evening 🌝
I'm Yumigeta Ako 🛑
Thank you very much for your comments yesterday!
Arghー I just couldn't get to sleep early last night!!!
I told you to but I couldn't do it myself…
Well whatever、these things happen
...
Also today was our 1st day at Yokohama Arena!!!
Morning Musume。'23 Concert Tour Autumn
「Neverending Shine Show」 SPECIAL
Thank you very muchー!!!!
Tumblr media
I felt so emotional today……
I'm so glad I got to see this scenery
I knew Yokohama Arena was big、but I was still surprised by just how huge it was。But it meant I could see wayyyyy more of your penlights!!!
So when I first stepped out on stage I was overwhelmed by all of you and your penlights and the size、but I tried to let go of that feeling
I just kept telling myself 「Don't mess up Don't mess up Don't mess up Don't mess up」。
Since we were all wearing ear monitors I knew the other members couldn't hear me〜
But thanks to that I was able to enjoy the rest of my time on stage、which I'm glad about
I mean I was still nervous though〜
Did you all have funー??
I was also able to take part in the MC!
Looking back on this tour we've really done so muchー right〜!
I've learned a lot😊 And had lots of fun〜
So with this tour and our summer tour
There are 8 more prefectures that I've visited for the first time!
Fukuoka、Hokkaido、Ehime、Miyagi、Iwate、Kagoshima、Shimane、Hiroshima!
The sky in Fukuoka was so beautiful! It was so impressive that everyone was taking photos and videos on the busー I really remember this moment (*^^*)
And the ramen was delicious!
Then it was already snowy in Hokkaido…!
Ehime's Mikyan-chan was so cute😍
In Miyagi I came to love beef tongue
In Iwate the beautiful paddy fields warmed my heart😊
In Kagoshima we saw a beautiful rainbow before the performance✨ The sky was so huge! And the steamed fish stew bun was delicious!
In Shimane we all talked about marriage!
I had so much funー!!!!
Next time I definitely want to visit Izumo Taisha❤️‍🔥
Hiroshima is where I made my oyster debut🦪
Thank you very much for showing me the deliciousness of oysters🍋🦪
I discovered lots of new great things in lots of new places‼️
I wanna go overseas tooー!I'm sure it would be so exciting❤️‍🔥
Also the last day of our tour is finally tomorrow…
And it's the day of Fukumura-san's graduation from Morning Musume。…
I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about tomorrow、but I want to try and stay in a good place and never forget Fukumura-san's smile and the way she often praised me
So I want to be the best version of my self even better than yesterday and today ‼️
I'll do my best and power up💗
I'm so excitedー!
Everyone……
Make sure your penlights aren't dead……
⋆┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈⋆
Well then it's time for today's 【Gettaa Life】✨
Today!
After the performance I ate lots of the food we'd been provided withー!!!!
Tumblr media
So cuteー!!!!!!!!
I went straight for the donut because it was so cute、and I chose my favourite chocolate cupcake💗
Here's a question。
Is the red bit under Santa's eyes his
「Mouth」?「Nose」?
I was just really curious、
So I turned to Nonaka-san because she was next to me in the dressing room and I said
「I think it could be a mouth、but I think it's his nose that's gotten red because of the cold」
And Nonaka-san went Huhー!I don't know!!
And then she said
「But I agree with you!」、
But then I suddenly thought
Of the song「Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer」
So maybe it's actually a reindeer in a Santa hat…???
And as I shared my deeper thinking with Nonaka-san she said
「Why don't you ask on your blog?!」
I'm so glad she guided me
So what do you think!!!!!!!
Tell me your opinion!!!
With your reasons!!!!!!
I bet it'll be interesting、I'm so excitedー✨
I Getted 「A strange donut」✨
If it's his nose does that mean his mouth is hidden in his beard…?
(´・д・`)
That's all!This has been 【Gettaa Life】!
⋆┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈⋆
T/N News and information has not been translated
⋆┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈⋆
1 day
Until our tour finale!
(っ ॑꒳ ॑c)exciting
Well then I'll see you tomorrow!
This has been YumiGettaa Ako!Good night🐶🐶🐶

I'm sorry........not really
Tumblr media
Fem!Reader X Kento Nanami
You messed up BIG time, wearing those tight pencil skirts and bending a little extra in front of the director? you were bound to get called sometime. You knew you were going to be punished- you didn't know in what way..........
Warning: Size kink, fingering, vibrator use implied, edging implied? p in v (wrap it before you tap it!!)
Words: 1K approx
A/N: I am a new writer so please mention any other warnings I missed or any other proper terms. (Stealing and modification of work is prohibited.)
Tumblr media
Glasses and a clean resume. Kento thought you would be a goody two shoes focused on your career.
You were anything but.
Money brought a clean resume (which was required for a good job duh!) and glasses well.... they looked hot, okay? and it certainly helped when you looked up innocently to boys hitting on you only to say, 'oh I don't do that stuff'.
That thirst inside you?
Amen.
Nothing could've prepared you when Kento Nanami in all his glory walked in his office with his crisp white shirt and his blonde hair set.
Nanami cleared his throat waking you from your trance.
"Y-yes sir?" You asked your voice breathless cursing yourself internally because c'mon having a boss is hard enough but a hot one? You are dead.
"Get me the papers for the next meeting." Nanami says and sits down on his seat. Even his voice is godly. Hot. You rush out at once. You had heard enough rumors of the last assistant getting fired and blacklisted. So that's how your day went to and fro to get some thing or the other. At some point you were sure he was doing this purposefully- seeing whether you make a mistake.
But you could have some fun on his account right? especially after he made you clean his glasses and sent you off on lunch to get some documents. You would surely won't regret teasing him with those awful miniskirts of yours, accidentally flashing him a view of your cleavage as you bent to grab the papers that fell or maybe giving him such suggestive looks that-goddd- lucifer would blush?
Wrong.
So flash forward to 3 months later- right now when you're so shamefully spread apart on his table his hand deep inside you, cunt clenching around his slender fingers.
"Ah! I am sorry-" You try to say as his finger hits a particularly sensitive spot. You're dripping just from his fingers- you eye his bulge and gulp. Good grief.
"What? your sorry? i don't think you are after all you got what you wanted after all this time huh?" He says his voice taunting and his fingers pick up the pace.
You squirm with pleasure when he smacks your pussy.
Once.
Twice.
"Slut." He calls you and you have to look up because Nanami was a gentleman- always respectful especially to you. "Bet you get off at me calling you this don't you?"
"Nothing but a filthy slut." He increases the pace and you gasp.
You come with a shudder wetting his hand in your juices.
He laughs and looks at you with such eyes- oh those eyes- before saying-
"Such a bad girl coming on my fingers and getting me all wet, I really ought to punish you."
Without warning he enters you and he is so big- it hurts more than your first time probably.
"T-too big I can't-" You whine out hips bucking out, for- escape, salvation or more- you don't even know at this point.
He pecks you on the lips as if he is apologising it hurts and starts thrusting. He is so big it touches your cervix and your spot so perfectly that you see the stars.
"Clenching around me like a damn vice." He whispers in your ear, his voice a little hoarse and you get even wetter, you didn't know he had such a dirty mouth.
For someone scolding you for cursing the other day he is really not as good as he seems to be- I meann fvking his employee- the freaking assistant - on his desk? You are a teenage wet dream, he thinks.
"Huh?" You say confused.
Shit he didn't realize he said it out loud.
Tears well in your eyes with pleasure. "Aww is my little slut crying? too bad gotta take it like a good girl hmm?" He says noticing your tears, but it doesn't escape your notice how he loosens his hold on your hips -careful to not bruise you.
Your orgasm hits you out of nowhere it's so much you see white literally or maybe that's just Nanami's cum inside you. He gets out and puts his pants back on and looks at you tauntingly- as if it was your fault.
He leans down and kisses you. It is so captivating and unlike anything you have experienced with boys at the club that you almost don't notice his hand fitting a vibrator inside you.
"W-what?" You say, face flushed and hair in a mess- wait don't you have a meeting in 10 minutes?
"W-what?" Nanami mimics you laughing at your expression "Sweetheart better keep your mouth shut at the meeting if you don't want your punishment and oh if you pull anything like you did last time? I promise it will be worse." Nanami says his voice casual with a bit of threat.
You gulp.
"Fix your hair, darling it looks as if you just woke up." He says fixing his tie.
Oh, did I mention that your supposed to be presenting? Oh yeah, you are fvked.

Not to be dramatic but I'd KILL to see your Sunny/Moondrop writings
You have no fucking idea how fast I hopped on this ask-
*warning, may contain big titty milf
"Mom! Mom! Look!"
You looked up from your phone at your son, who was holding up a rather adorable piece of art. It was him, and you, holding hands, COVERED in glitter glue. You chuckled, looking it over in your hands.
"Wow, when did I suddenly get a little Picasso in the family? Take it you're having fun, huh kiddo?"
"Loads! I'm gonna make another piece with my new friend!"
"Well good! But don't take too long, you know your grandma is coming over to watch you for tonight, and she should be here any minute."
"Oh! I'll go get started! Think I can make something good enough for her fridge?"
You patted his little head, getting a big ol' smile from him.
"I bet it will be. Hop to it!"
With that, he ran off, joining the other kids in the art area of the daycare. You loved your kid to tears, you really did. It's why you hated that he was the only man in your life. You didn't put too much responsibility on him, he was only five, but you knew he tried harder than most kids to impress you and care for you. You separated from your ex husband not long after he was born, and by now, you were over it.
Unfortunately, you weren't over men in general. In fact, you were pretty much on the prowl. He needed a new father figure, and you needed a proper lover for once. Unfortunately, luck wasn't on your side. Tinder dates stood you up, and all the dads here were unfortunately, very happily married. LOTS of dads here at Freddy's today, all sporting rings, and it made you pissed off like you wouldn't believe.
"You better not skimp out on me tonight, asshole."
You muttered at your phone screen. You had a date set up tonight, and you hoped, prayed even, for someone normal, yet as needy as you were. You weren't asking for Hercules here, just. Someone who cared enough to give you something you needed, just for tonight. You sat there, fiddling on your phone, until your mom finally showed up. After a brief exchange, a few goodbyes, they were off. You were now (at least for tonight) a mother with no responsibilities. You were about to head off, when you got a text.
'He said he's missing his watch, and forgot it in the ballpit. Can you go check? He looks upset'
Of course. You thought about just buying another one, they were available at the front desk. But you knew he could tell. You sighed, before responding.
'Sure, I'll look. Tell him to just have fun in the meantime.'
You got up from your seat by the ballpit, before walking over to some employee, who was picking up trash.
"Hey excuse me? My son lost his watch, I think it's in the ballpit, I was wondering-"
"Ma'am, imma be frank with you. You can either go and buy a new watch, or go look yourself. I don't get paid enough for this."
You thought about saying something about such a rude attitude, but from the side eyes you were getting, you were one wrong word away from being another 'Karen' online. You sighed.
"Thank you."
Was all you could say. You looked at the entire play area, before groaning. Better get started.
---------------------------
You woke up with a start. You jumped up a bit, realizing you were in the ballpit. You looked around, and realized the seats were empty. What time was it? You checked your phone, and your mouth went agape. Well into midnight, and your date was at eight o'clock. You checked your dating app, and sure enough, he sent you message after message, even tried calling you. You tried to call back, only for your phone to die right before you could manage.
"Oh no. Oh no oh no."
Dead phone, the place looked empty. The last you remember, you were looking for your son's watch. Somehow you were so tired, you just passed out in the ballpit. And that was just the last straw for you. You didn't even bother getting out of the pit, before starting to just cry into your hands. It was one thing after another lately, and this was the straw that broke the camel's back. It wasn't fair. You just wanted some well deserved attention and kindness and-
"Oh ho ho! Someone is up late! I-oh no! Are those tears? Friend, what's…"
You looked up, and screamed as you jumped back. In front of you was a tall, skinny figure, with a big, smiling face. He held his hands in front of you, crouching down a bit in an attempt to look smaller.
"Woah! Easy there! It's alright! I didn't mean to scare you! I heard you making noises, and I THOUGHT I heard someone crying! What's wrong?"
You took a second to inspect him further. Ridiculous striped pants, bells for his shoes, and a sunny disposition. Literally, given his actual sun face. He stood there, waving his arms side to side in a silly little dance. You sniffed, rubbing at your now probably ruined makeup.
"I was...trying to find something my kid dropped. And I guess I got tired and just. Fell asleep here. And t-then I missed my date and-"
"Hey hey hey! One thing at a time, sweetheart! Look,"
He held your hands in his, jumping a bit in place, as if he was trying to have fun still.
"Why don't you tell me what you lost first? Maybe I can help you find it?"
There was something...comforting, being reassured. The hand holding, the 'sweetheart'. It was nice.
"Uhm...my son dropped his watch. He put a sticker with his name on it, couple of stars I think?"
"Was it by any chance a freddy fazbear brand watch? The free ones you get at the entrance?"
"Yeah?"
He let go of your hands, before patting himself down, then digging into his clothes. He then pulled out EXACTLY what you were looking for, name and all. You gasped as you took it from him, amazed.
"You found it!! How?"
He shrugged.
"I find ALL kinds of stuff that kids drop. Candy, watches, socks, toys- and I bring it to the lost and found! Because lost toys make for sad boys and girls, and I will NOT have any frowns in my daycare!"
He clapped, still doing his little dance. It was such a small thing, a brief act of kindness. You jumped on him, wrapping your arms around him in a hug. He laughed, patting your back softly. It was an honest, happy cackle. He was HAPPY to get a hug from you.
"Oh! A hug! We LOVE hugs here! This is my first hug from an ADULT! It's weird. I like it!!!"
He returned the hug, spinning you around with surprising strength, before putting you on the floor, and letting go. He kept doing his little dance, chipper as ever.
"So, what else did you say was making you sad?"
You wished he didn't bring it up. It reminded you of your dead phone and your missed chance for drinks. Your frown returned.
"Oh I missed my date tonight, and I was looking forward to it. It's...been a while."
"Oh! Like a play date?"
You rolled your hands a bit as you thought of how to explain this.
"No. It's uh, a grown up date. You know, when adults get...lonely. So they uh-"
"Oooh! Grown up time! I see, I see!"
He cackled, wiggling his finger at you as if you said a naughty joke. He moved and flailed, as if he'd die if he didn't keep moving, and he was making the best of it.
"You...know about that?"
"Uh huh! I know ALL about kids! Including HOW they're made! It's in my programming! What's also in my programming, is turning frowns upside down!"
He did a handstand, before standing upright, and placing his hands at your waist. He then lifted you up as If you were nothing, before bringing you to the end of the room, and placing you down on a table. You looked around where he just put you, and realized it was sort of like the control center of the place, full of odds and ends, all sorts of buttons and levers. He closed the distance between you two, wagging a finger in your face.
"Now, I know I can't exactly get you right to your date, but I CAN play some games with you to cheer you up! It'll be like one big slumber party! Then, come morning, you can go home! Whatever game you wanna play!"
"I'm...not sure there's any games that'll cheer me up-"
You turned, maybe hoping to find some kind of phone, before he grabbed your hand, holding it tenderly in between his.
"Oh please! One game! Please! If you don't have fun, I can just take you out of here! But I have to TRY to make you smile!"
Maybe it was the way he held your hand. Maybe it was the fact that your heart was yearning. Maybe it was just the begging and pleading that sounded so honest and yearning. But regardless, you knew exactly what kind of game you wanted him to play.
"Okay. We'll play a game. How about Simon says?"
"Ohh!! I LOVE Simon says! Okay okay, let's play!"
He jumped on the spot, giddy to play this game with you.
"Okay. Simon says, stand right here."
You opened your legs, and pointed right in front of you. He obeyed, standing in between your legs. He was a tall, lanky fellow, so he fit there rather nicely. He was sort of...warm too.
"Simon says, put your hands on my thighs."
He nodded eagerly, his hands planted on your thighs. Oh that felt better than you thought it would.
"Simon says...squeeze them."
He looked puzzled, before he obeyed. His hands squeezed at your flesh, and even through your classic mom jeans, you could feel his warm, firm hands. Oh it was perfect.
"Simon says...put your fingers right in here."
You tugged at your own pants, and he seemed confused again, before his fingers undid those pesky buttons, and slipped past the cloth, even past the panties. Oh he was right at your clit, he could make you cum in an instant, it'd be so easy. You looked away from his face, to where his hand was. You could feel your heart race in your chest, and it almost made you feel faint.
"R-rub it."
He didn't. You snapped up to him, seeing what was the problem, when he gave a mad cackle.
"You didn't say Simon says! Ha! Now it's MY turn!"
Oh. Right. You were playing a game. You sighed, before relenting.
"Okay, Simon says, gimme a kiss!"
You surprisingly had no problem with it. You grabbed onto his face, and gave it a kiss. And another. And another. You didn't know how many you gave him, you just knew when you finally pulled away, his face was just DECORATED in your red lipstick. It suited him. He giggled, possibly shy about the adoration on his metallic face.
"Woo! You were excited about that one! Simon says, gimme a hug!"
You didn't hesitate again, grabbing his head, and pulling his face right into your bust. You didn't mean to brag, but you were pretty damn lucky in terms of the chest area, so sunny boy had quite the resting place for his head. He looked up at you from your bosom, clearly feeling your affection.
"What a nice hug! Okay, gimme another kiss!"
You didn't give him one. He looked almost sad, before you chuckled, poking his forehead with your nail.
"You didn't say Simon says."
"Oh! Ha! You're GOOD at this game! Okay, your turn!"
You loved that smile he gave you. He was eager to do as you said, and something told you it wasn't just because it was a game.
"Simon says, rub it."
His hand hadn't pulled out of your pants, so there was no wait. You felt his finger tips rub at your folds, slowly, softly. Oh you could feel him smear your pussy juices against his fingers.
"Hey, it's a little hard to do with your pants in the way, can I take these off?"
You nodded so quickly, you swore you'd get a headache. He pulled down your pants, then your panties, until they hung around your ankles. He continued, running you in much larger circles. You held his head with one hand, keeping his face in your breasts, while the other held onto the hand that was giving you so much pleasure.
"Oh...shit that's it…"
"You're giving me such a weird smile. I've never seen this kind before. I like it!! You have a super duper smile!!"
You shrunk a bit as he not only kept pleasing you, but kept his face buried in your soft, voluptuous chest. His face didn't exactly scream emotions other than smiling, but you could tell he was BEAMING.
"You...don't mean that. You're just being nice."
"No I mean it! You have a super super pretty smile! I like this one MUCH better than your sad face!"
Oh no. That was so terribly sweet. You knew your face exploded in blush, and it was so embarrassing. He was talking so sweetly, he was being so gentle. He was the softest, yet weirdest lover you've ever had.
"I wanna make you smile everyday! In fact I think I know how I can make you smile more! You wanna see?"
"Please. Yes. Please show me."
He hummed a bit, two fingers threatening to push inside of you. Long, slender, warm. You knew they'd feel so good, curled up inside of you.
"On one condition. You gotta say I'M the winner!"
God that was weirdly cute of him. You nodded quickly, swallowing.
"You're the winner! You totally win! Just. S-show me how you can make me smile, please."
He gave a little victory dance upon hearing you say this, and lifted his face up to bump against your face, in some odd attempt to kiss you. His fingers, slowly, teasingly, pushed inside of you. Two, long digits pushed inside of your wet pussy, carefully stroking you, exploring you. You melted over his touch, head tossed back as they slid in and out.
"You're the sweetest thing I've ever smelled. Like, better than ANY scratch n' sniff sticker!"
Oh it was so stupid, how special that made you feel. He nuzzled into you (much as his large head would allow), and you swore you heard him take in your scent. You didn't mind, not when he was going knuckle deep into you now. He was playing you like a fiddle, forcing you to make all sorts of sounds as his fingers toyed with you. Your wetness was so loud, only your moans compared. You felt his other hand under your shirt, slowly up your back, before hooking a finger against your bra. With one fell swoop, he pulled it right out of your shirt, catching you by surprise.
"H-how did you do that?"
"Magic tricks! I'm VERY good with my hands!"
You felt his fingertips brush against that sweet spot, and you felt electricity shoot up your spine. You nodded quickly, blood rushing and head spinning.
"Y-yeah, you are, I believe it. You should uh, really keep showing me-!"
It was as if he read your mind. He was barely picking up the speed, but him massaging that spot was getting you there. You leaned back, having a death grip on his wrist as he kept, ever so slowly, pushing you further and further to that edge.
"Oh my god oh my GOD, keep going, I'm a-almost there, please please I NEED this!!"
You really did. It had been so long. Self satisfaction never gave you that same feeling. You needed another's hand. Another's body on yours. So close so close so CLOSE!
Then you pushed the button. It was an accident, you swore it was. But your hand pushed a button, and suddenly the lights went out, leaving only the big star nightlights above shining down on you both.. You were about to laugh it off, maybe comment about how it was romantic, when he pulled away from you, grabbing a hold of his face.
"Oh no. Oh no oh no!! Y-you turned the lights off!! You can't turn them off!!!"
He kept pulling at his face, screaming as if he was in pain. He kept backing away from you, and it was freaking you out. You were about to try to calm him down, when he suddenly walked so far back, he fell over the desk, and onto the floor. There was a grunt of agony, and you were honestly concerned. You were about to put your pants back on and rush to him, before you saw his face pop back up past the counter. Only, it wasn't him. His eyes were red, predatory. They scanned over the counter, before finding you. His voice wasn't soft or cheerful anymore. It was...sleazy, like a predator going after a younger, weaker member of a herd.
"Naughty, naughty girl...it's past your bedtime."
He jumped onto the counter. His pants were now littered with stars, looking like night lights. His movements were still giddy, but in a slower, more calculated way.
"Naughty girls get punished."
He leapt up from the counter, out of view. You looked around for a moment, trying to see if you could find him, before you suddenly felt yourself grabbed by him. One hand held your breast, the other went right between your legs. He snarled into your ear, and dear God did it make you wet.
"I've never punished such a pretty girl before. I wonder what sounds you make. I wonder how you scream."
His hand groped and grabbed at your chest, roughly kneading and teasing at your nipple through your sort of thin shirt. And his three fingers? Oh it was heaven. They were far from gentle, pumping in and out of you quickly, making such a loud sound as he stuffed your pussy with his fingers. And the sounds against your ear. The cackling, the snarling, the comments of you being a bad little girl.
"Oh someone wants to cum. You want to cum over these fingers, girlie? While I play with these, big, fat titties of yours?"
"Y-yes!"
Oh he was so rough with you. Holding you like you didn't have a choice. He growled against your skin so hungrily, you bit your bottom lip, oh so ready to be finger blasted into an orgasm.
"Then say it. Say you've been bad, so I know you deserve your punishment."
When you didn't do it immediately, he pulled his fingers out, and smacked your sensitive clit, making you yelp far louder than you'd like to admit. He dipped four fingers into you now, stretching you as he went knuckles deep, completely stuffing your pussy with his demanding, punishing fingers.
"I've been bad! I've been such a bad little girl! I need to be punished! I need you to make me c-cum for you!"
"Then cum for me. Scream for me. Take me and your punishment."
Then finally. FINALLY. You came. You clenched down on his fingers as you spilled over the controls you were sitting on. He was relentless, fucking you through it. No matter how much you thrashed, no matter how much you screamed, he kept fucking you with his oh so talented hand the entire way through, and his other fingers dug deep into your tits. It wasn't until you were whimpering, that he stopped. He pulled out of you slowly, peering over your sopping wet, gaping pussy. Your head spun, your body laced with sweat.
"Open your mouth, take your medicine."
You opened your mouth, and allowed him to force his smooth, slender fingers into your ever eager mouth.
Best. Slumber party. Ever.
-------------------------
You came here every weekend. Have been for about a few months now. You thought it was a one off, but it just. Never stopped. He listened to you, he complimented you, he gave you attention. Him being an animatronic was just uh...complication. A quirk if anything. But you weren't complaining. You were happy, and so was your little man.
"Mom, do you think he'll like it?"
"Course he will, honey. He always likes your work."
You walked with your son into the daycare, and there he was. Doing a handstand, holding someone's toddler by his feet, clearly entertaining the kiddos. Then, he saw you. He immediately put them down, and walked over to you, clearly not thinking of getting back on his feet.
"I've been WAITING for you two! Running kinda late today!"
"A little artist just HAD to finish his drawing for you. Go on, show him."
He eagerly ran up to Sunny, who looked at the drawing. He whistled loudly, nodding, clearly impressed.
"For ME? oh you shouldn't have! I love it so much! You know what'd really make this POP though? Glitter glue! I just got some new colors today! Why don't you go check them out, champ?"
He patted his head with one of his feet, making him laugh. He looked at you with permission, before you nodded, letting your little rugrat run off to get his new shirt all dirty with crafts. Meanwhile, your little jester climbed up the bench where you sat, not ONCE letting his feet touch the ground.
"Hey! I missed you!"
"I was here last week, Sunny."
"Feels too long! I miss my favorite Simon says player!"
Making sure no one saw, you held his face, and kissed it.
"Don't worry. We get to play the game tonight. And I got a whole new bag of toys for you to play with~"
"I like toys. But I definitely like you more!"
So your boyfriend/not boyfriend was a robot. No biggie. You just knew that with that strap on in your extra duffel bag, you were ABSOLUTELY ready for your day to get a bit more...Sunny.

Lt. Col. Frank Slade
I’d just like to say that I hope anyone who reads this enjoys
I’d also like to add that I didn’t write this because I think disabled people should only be with disabled people. I’m disabled myself and know that’s not the case, I just thought this would be a lovely pairing, and I hope you think so too
Please enjoy!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’re sitting at some fancy restaurant in New York City that you couldn’t even remember the name of, with a marble floor and huge windows that lookd down on the city, having just been stood up by your date... again. As you sit with a cup of black coffee in your hands two men walk in, and you watch them. One is young, like high school young, and the other is older and very well put together. You sigh, staring into your coffee. Fuck you’re embarrassed, just sitting here alone in this big bright room, all made up for a date who was never going to show up, or did show up and saw your walking cane and left, which was annoyingly typical of the dates your married friends set you up with. You’re disabled, so what? You wouldn’t want to be seen dead with an ableist man anyway, so being stood up was probably for the best.
“Give me a survey of the room Charlie.” The older man says as you watch a woman playing the piano.
“Oh uhh, to the left there’s a couple sitting by the window, to the right there’s a party, three women four men...”
“Three women four men huh, we’ll see how that works out! HA! What else Charlie? I’m getting a real good feeling from over there.” He gestures.
“There’s a woman sitting alone in front of us, a little to the right.”
“What does she look like?” Slade asks.
“W-well she has this dark red dress on, and her hair is curled and put up in a clip, and-“
“No no Charlie boy, how does she look. She sad Charlie? Bet she looks real sad.”
“Yeah... how’d you know?”
“Because I know Charlie. I know women who sit alone in their best burgundy dress in some fancy fucking restaurant. Come on, help me over to her. We’ve got another lunch guest.” Slade stands up and gets out his cane, grabbing onto Charlie as they walk over to you.
“Is this seat taken?” He asks confidently and sits before you can even answer.
“I guess it is now. At least someone is getting some use out of it.” You joke and huff a sad laugh, then sip on your coffee.
“I’m lieutenant colonel Frank Slade, and this here is Charles.” He introduces himself and his friend.
“Pleased to make your acquaintance. My name’s (Y/N).” You smile at them and shake both of their hands.
“Mmm, beautiful name.” Slade calls the waiter over. “A John Daniels on the rocks, one beer and for the lady...” he gestures to you.
“I’m fine thanks.” You reply and the waiter goes off to get their drinks.
“So, who would be stupid enough to stand up a beautiful young thing like yourself?” He asks suddenly, and you’re taken aback by his frankness.
“How do you-“ he interrupts you.
“A gentleman alway knows.”
“What I was going to ask was how do you know I’m beautiful.” You rebut, an amused smile on your face.
“As I said, a gentleman always knows.”
“Well, it was some blind date. Thank you for sitting with me, you’ve saved me from a lot of embarrassment.”
“Well I can be your new blind date. HA!” He jokes and you let out a soft laugh. Their drinks come and Slade downs his quickly. “Do you wanna dance with me (Y/N?)” he asks and you just stare at him, not replying. “What are you dying of some wasting disease?”
“You could say that... I’m chronically ill Colonel, and I use a cane.” You reply and pick it up, placing the wooden cane in his hands for him to feel. He puts it back down after examining it.
“Well in that case you be my eyes, and I’ll be your legs. How does that sound?” He stands and extends his arm for you to take, which you do, and he carefully helps you up with both of your hands.
“I can walk, but I’m not too steady on my feet without my cane.” You explain, and he holds your arm as you guide him toward the large space in the centre of the restaurant for your dance.
“I’ll keep you upright, don’t worry sweetheart.” He tells you confidently, making you smile, and pulls you close, holding you tightly to him. “Hoo-ah! You sure have some body on you.” You laugh and blush at his comment, putting your forehead to his shoulder, embarrassed. “Am I making you uncomfortable?” He asks as the band begins to play.
“No, not at all, I’m just not used to being talked to that way is all.” You two begin to dance, and he keeps you tight against his body the whole time to keep you upright, making sure not to go too fast.
“I can’t imagine why. A gorgeous woman like yourself deserves to be complimented.”
“You’re blind.” You say matter of factly.
“Well if you hadn’t noticed my friend Charlie isn’t. I can tell by how nervous he got that you’re a beautiful woman deserving of all the praise I have to give.” You smile at his words and place your cheek against his as you continue to dance.
“Did you shave this morning?” You ask. His skin feels smooth against yours.
“You know I had to be nice and fresh just for you (Y/N).” He replies smoothly and dips you. You laugh loudly as he pulls you back up. “Now that is a sound I love to hear! A womans laughter!” You two finish your dance, and you guide him back to your table whilst he supports you.
“You’re certainly one charismatic man, and a great dancer.” You comment, biting your bottom lip, and he lets out a laugh.
“So, (Y/N), what do you do?”
“I’m an artist, I make interactive sculpture.”
“Sculpture? You must be good with your hands. Sounds like art I can enjoy.” You blush a second time at his words. Despite his cool demeanour you think that he actually looks visibly excited by the idea of your art.
“I have an exhibition opening tonight actually, not too far from here. Would you and Charlie like to come by and have a look, or a feel of my sculptures?” You ask hopefully.
“Only if you let me take you to dinner afterwards.” He replies and you nod before realising he can’t know that you nodded.
“Yes, of course! It’s a deal!” You say excitedly, and despite Frank’s awareness of his charm he’s slightly surprised at your enthusiasm. You stay with Frank and Charlie for the next hour, talking with the two of them. At first Charles is a little shy, but he warms up to you quickly, especially when he sees that you’re just as nervous as he is. Before you leave you write out on a napkin the adresse of the gallery that your artwork is part of, placing it in Franks jacket poket, before writing out another one and giving it to Charlie.
“The second one is so you don’t have an excuse to stand me up.” You say and stand, grabbing your cane. Frank also stands, then Charlie after him.
“I cannot wait to be in your glorious presence again tonight my dear.” Frank takes your hand and kisses it.
“I can’t wait either.” You say to Frank coyly. “See you tonight Charlie.”
——————————————————————————
As you walk into the gallery later that night, your friend who tried to set you up on that date earlier that day and her husband were already there, waiting for you. You walk over to them, glaring.
“Oh, (Y/N) I’m sorry about today. Bobby called me to tell me he got held up at work, but I invited him here tonight!” She says excitedly, and you sigh.
“He didn’t even ring the damn place to tell me he wasn’t gonna show up. Honestly, I don’t want to meet him.”
“He’s nice! You’ll like him!” She tries to convince you, and you huff.
“I invited someone of my own, two someones.” Just as you speak of them Frank and Charles walk in, Charlie directing Frank to you and giving him a layout of the gallery.
“(Y/N)!” Frank calls, and you turn to him, a smile appearing on his face, and yours.
“Hey Frank, hey Charlie.” You reply as Frank stops beside you, wrapping an arm around your waist, under your coat, feeling the skin exposed from your backless dress. You’re slightly shocked by his affection, but accept it happily. It feels nice to be touched. You lean on your cane as you admire him for a moment, thinking how handsome he is with his slightly disheveled hair and smug smile.
“You gonna introduce us to your friends?” He asks and you snap out of your daze.
“Oh, right. This is Carol, my friend. She’s an art curator.”
“Pleasure to meet you Carol”
“Carol this is Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade, and his friend Charles.”
“Hi.” Charlie says as he looks around the gallery.
“I can guide Frank around Charlie. You go have a look around for yourself if you want.” You say and Charlie walks off, slightly nervously. “Now I have you to myself.” You tease, your cheeks flushing slightly at your own words.
“Hoo-ah! I like what you’re saying.”
“I really am glad you came Frank. I would’ve missed you if you hadn’t come.”
“I wouldn’t have missed this for anything. I wouldn’t have missed you for anything. HA!”
You laugh and lead him around the gallery to the back which is significantly less crowded.
“There are a couple of other sculptures in here. I’ll talk to the artists to see whether you can touch them too.”
“You’re a peach.” He tells you and tapps your ass lightly as you walk with him to your artwork, getting up close and personal with it.
“Let me describe the room for you. Sitting on the floor is a large scale abstract sculpture. It’s made out of bronze but had gone green. Touch it, climb on it if you want. It’s all about human connection, feeling loved and appreciated, like being hugged by your mother when you haven’t seen her in a long time.” You sit next to him and watch him as he explores your artwork. You see that he’s visually moved. When he’s almost done he reaches over to take your hand in both of his, patting it.
“That made me feel like I could see again... you make me feel like I can see again.” He says, deep in thought.
“Oh Frank, you’re going to make me cry!” You say, suddenly overwhelmed by both your and his emotions. “I don’t know if this is corny but... I’ve never felt so connected to another person before, especially not someone I’ve just met.”
“Sweetheart, that’s not corny, that’s lovely.” You sigh, relieved. Frank reaches up, caressing your cheek with the back of his hand, then running his fingers over your eyelids, down to your lips. Your breathing has become heavy. Frank leans over and kisses your lips, tasting you. “Mmm, like butter.” He comments under his breath. You bite your bottom lip, watching Frank. He places a hand on your chest, feeling your heart beating, much faster than usual. “Come on.” He says, a small smug smile on his face, and you both walk out of the room. He stays with Charlie as you go to talk to some of the other artists and critics. As you’re talking to a sculptor, convincing him to let Frank touch his art, Carol walks back over to you with a man beside her.
“(Y/N), this is Bobby.” She says and you look the man up and down, unimpressed. He was nothing compared to Frank. He does the same to you, looking you over.
“You didn’t tell me she was a cripple.” He says and you furrow your brows.
“And you didn’t tell me he was a goddamn fucking bastard.” You retort, staring straight at the man. Frank overhears your conversation, storming right over to you.
“This the guy that stood you up?” He asks.
“Yeah, this is him.”
“Where do you think you get off talking to a gorgeous complex woman like that, huh? If I wasn’t so fucking blind I’d beat the shit out of you. If you were a soldier under my command I’d make you give me twenty, then I’d make you give me twenty more, then you’d kiss my fucking boots.” He tells Bobby, but Bobby just scoffs.
“What are you two part of some sort of cripple gang?” He jokes rudely, somehow amused by his own obscene words.
“You know what...” Frank starts before he punches the guy right smack bang in the middle of his face. You put your hand over your mouth. “Did I get the right guy?” He asks coolly and you nod.
“Yeah, you sure did. Jesus, we’d better get out of here Frank.”
“I think you’re right sweetheart. I got a limo waiting outside for us. Come on Charlie! Let’s go!” You laugh on your way out. You felt slightly bad for the guy, it was a hard punch, but he did deserved it. When you’re in the limo you sit close to Frank, snuggled slightly against him. He places a hand on your thigh. “You sound wonderful when you swear.” He says in that hot husky voice of his. Both of your canes are resting between each of your legs, and as Charlie looks over to the two of you he realises you look like you were made for each other. Perfectly matched. The limo drives off without Frank giving any directions, but you guess he had already told the driver where to go. As you ride to your next destination, you listen to Frank tell a story of a time he had to break up this almost deadly fight between two soldiers. His left hand has migrated further up your right thigh and to your waist, which he caressed absentmindedly. You stop outside what looks to be some sort of classy looking club.
“Where are you taking me?” You ask, excitement evident in your voice.
“Just a little place I like to frequent. Manny, take Charlie back to the hotel, or wherever else he wants to go. We’ll find our own way back.” Charlie gets out first, then Frank. He helps you out and Charlie gets back in.
“Have fun.” He says before he drives off.
“Can I hear jazz music coming from inside?” You ask and take Frank’s hand as the two of you walk in together. Sure enough he had taken you to some upper class jazz bar, and you couldn’t be happier about his choice.
“A booth for me and my girl.” Frank says, and you’re both escorted to a booth near the stage where a band is playing.
“God this place is gorgeous.” You say as Frank slides in next to you. You turn to him, pulling your right leg up onto the seat, sitting on it. You put a hand on Frank’s cheek and he leans into your touch. “You’ve made today very interesting, and very enjoyable.” You let out a soft laugh and Frank smiles at you.
“Well it’s my pleasure sweetheart, and hopefully with your cooperation we can make this night even better.”
“I think that can be arranged.” You lean in closer to him and kiss his lips again. He immediately kisses back, almost desperate for you, placing a careful hand on your cheek. He reaches down with his other hand to feel your breasts, and you moan into the kiss, staying like this until the waiter comes to your table. You pull away slightly, an arm wrapped around Frank’s neck, and place a hand delicately over your mouth, smiling brightly and trying to hide it as you bite your bottom lip, lipstick smudged from the kiss.
“What’s your special for today?” Frank asks the waiter.
“Today our special is perfectly aldante penne alla Siciliana” he replies and Frank nods.
“Well I’ll have that.”
“Me too!” You tell the waiter, staring at Frank, taking in his appearance. Frank orders you both a couple of drinks as well.
“Your lips are like that first swallow of wine after you cross the desert.” Frank tells you smoothly, and your smile widens.
“You’re a real poet Frank, and a charmer... well you’ve charmed me at least, maybe not that Bobby character.” You spend the rest of your time at the restaurant talking with Frank, and kissing Frank, and listening to the jazz band, and enjoying your dinner, all the while waiting for an invitation back to his place. Whilst you’re intently watching the band play he leans over and buries his face into your hair, taking in a deep erotic breath.
“Will you stay with me tonight?” He asks, lips close to your ear.
“Yes Frank, I’d love to stay with you tonight.” You reply, almost in a whisper.
“Hoo ah! That’s exactly what I wanted to hear!” He claps his hands together. “Why don’t we get going? Something tells me we still have a long night ahead of us.”
“Trust me, we do.” Frank pays, then you both pick up your canes, walking out and hailing a taxi. When you get in he can’t keep his hands off of you, and it’s no different once you get to his hotel room. Charlie is asleep on the couch so you sneak past him as quietly as possible, laughing as you enter Frank’s room at the Waldorf. “I feel like a school kid sneaking around behind my parents back.” You say and sit down on his bed as you start to take your heels off. Frank kneels down and gets between your legs, kissing your exposed thigh.
“Something tells me I need to go down on you.” He says and loosens his tie.
“I was going to do the same to you.” You tell him, but he shakes his head.
“A gentleman always goes down on his woman first.”
“And I’m your woman am I colonel?” You joke as Frank helps you to slip your panties off.
“Hoo-Ah! You’ve got some fire under that dress of yours. Always knew you did.” You laugh at his words and open your legs to him. He begins to kiss up your thigh, and you run your fingers through his soft hair, letting out a deep sigh. He reaches your pussy, kissing it softly once and taking a deep breath before pulling away. “That truly is the nectar of life.” You blush again, and he gets back to work, pleasuring you with his mouth. You throw your head back, squeezing your eyes shut.
“Oh fuck Frank. Fuuuuuuk.” You moan loudly and grasp at his hair. You can feel him smiling against you as he works his tongue and lips. He loves every sound you make and swears to himself never to forget them. He’s good, really good, and after a few minutes you feel your climax approaching. In your mind you thank god that you can experience one orgasm after another. “Colonel I cant- uhhh... I’m gonna come...” you say desperately, and he chuckles against your quivering wet lips as you let yourself reach your climax, orgasming hard, crying out Frank’s name and falling back to lie on the bed. He licks you clean, and with a proud and satisfied smile on his face, he stands, removing his jacket and shoes. He leans over you on the bed, and you can feel his breath against your chest and neck.
“Please fuck me Frank. Please.” You practically beg and Frank leans down, pulling your dress off over your head, groping at your breasts, nipples hard. You begin to unbutton his shirt from underneath him. “Frank, you’re gorgeous.” You tell him and rub a hand over his now bare chest.
“(Y/N), are you fucking with me?” He asks and you shake your head, forgetting for a moment that he can’t see.
“No Frank, I’m not fucking with you. You’re the most handsome man I’ve ever laid my eyes on. Truly. And you turn me on more than any other man has.” You sit up slightly, leaning on your elbows. “I’m desperate for you Frank. Please enter me. Please fill me.” You move to the centre of the bed and watch as Frank fully undresses, flinging his clothes across the room. You laugh happily, unable to look away from him. He comes back over to the bed, climbing onto it and over top of you once more. You open your legs for the second time and wrap your arms around his neck, letting a hand wander down his back. He take one of his hands and touches around your face before kissing your lips, then he begins to you. You gasp into his kiss and fuck through the night. When you finish you’re both so content you can’t help but instantly fall asleep, cuddling into one another underneath the soft silk sheets.
The next morning you wake from the feeling of warm sun on your face. You’re lying on your side, arms and legs wrapped around the colonel. He’s lying there, eyes open, with a smile on his face, softly humming an up beat tune. When you see him you tighten the cuddle to let him know you’re awake. He buries his face into your messy curls, breathing in the funk of the two of you.
“Good morning lovely.” He says against your neck, and you smile tiredly.
“Good morning Frank.” You reply, and lay a kiss on his forehead. You lay between his legs, in silence for the next half hour, never breaking contact with one another, your head resting on his chest comfortably, a finger drawing circles on his pectoral.
“We going to have to go back to New Hampshire today sweetheart. Charlie has to get back to Baird.” Frank tells you, and you sigh sadly.
“You can’t just stay one more day?” You ask and stretch up so you can kiss his neck, jaw and cheek, and eventually his lips.
“Charlie has to deal with some things at school. Not one more day.” He says between kisses, and all of a sudden you feel you could cry. “What’s wrong?” Frank asks, sensing your change in mood. You sit up, disconnecting yourself from him for the first time since you entered his room the night before.
“I don’t know, I was just looking forward to spending more time with you, really getting to know you. I’m just disappointed I guess.” You stand up out of bed and pick the shirt Frank was wearing the night before, putting it on. “Just my luck that I’d meet the perfect guy and then we’d never see each other again.”
“(Y/N)” he calls and you hum in reply. “Do you really think I’m going to let you get away that easy?”
“I sure hope not.” You walk back over to the bed, sitting next to him. “It’s cold” you whisper absentmindedly, getting under the blankets again. Frank wraps his strong arms around you. “Give me your number, and promise you’ll be back to visit me soon.” You kiss his chest between words, slowly, slowly, trailing them down to his ribs, his stomach, then further down, breathing above his member. Frank runs his fingers through your hair, pushing you down softly. You take the tip of his member in your mouth, looking up at him. “Promise me colonel, that you’ll come visit me.” You say, then go back down on him.
“You drive a hard bargain.” Frank tells you, breathing heavy, grunting softly.
“Promise.” You whisper as you take a breath, almost instantly going back to pleasuring him.
“I promise (Y/N), I promise.” He pants, and you feel up his body, caressing his torso. You feel his slightly sweaty skin, his heart racing. Once he’s finished Frank rings for a bell boy to collect his bags and bring them downstairs, but before he comes you sneak your panties into his suitcase. You give Frank his shirt back, and he dresses. He pulls your naked body into his lap, feeling you, then kisses you hard.
“I’ll miss your curves, your skin, your scent.” He comments. You wrap your arms around him, resting your head on his shoulder. He takes in a whiff of your hair, grunting. Frank helps you to dress, espressing a ‘hoo-ah!’ here and there, as his hands accidentally caress your body. Charlie writes down Frank’s adress and number for you, and you kiss the colonel many times as you say goodbye.
“Don’t miss me too much.” He jokes as you stand outside the hotel, watching Frank’s luggage being loaded into the limo.
“Ring me when you get home if you want to talk dirty.” You tell him as he slides into the vehicle, only half joking. Leaning into the window of the limo, bent over, you recite your number to him, and hand Charlie one of your cards.
“Hoo-Ah! I always want to talk dirty.” He tells you, and pats your hand, kissing you once more before driving off. You’re left standing next to the sidewalk, slightly puzzled by what you should do with yourself now that Frank is gone. You stand there for another moment, arms crossed, paralised by the indicision of what to do next. You think Carol will probably be waiting at your studio to talk to you, so you don’t want to go there, and suddenly your apartment seems far too lonely. You turn your head and look down the street, suddenly seeing Frank walking toward you, cane in hand. He’s calling your name.
“What are you doing?” You call, walking as fast as you can towards him.
“You’re coming back to New Hamshire with me and Charlie, then we’re coming back here. I’m not going to loose someone as special as you.” He says directly, holding onto your arm.
“Okay.” You say with a joyful smile. “Okay Frank, let’s get Charlie back to Baird.”

“ honestly Suna sometimes it feels like your just sitting there — calculating — thinking of ways that you can piss me off” you let out in a huff of anger as you slammed your hand onto the arm rest placed in the middle of the car. Voice loud enough to be heard from a mile away and then some “ And then you don’t even fucking care “
“ I’m sorry you feel that way “
“ seriously ? seriously Suna “
“ oh I’m sorry would you like me to say it jokingly? “
The silence that towered over the both of you was tall and it wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon “ WELL WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT ME TO SAY “ his hand came up to run down his face as he sighed
“ look I'm sorry baby but — “
“ but nothing — I'm tired Rin—I'm tired of you screwing with me“ you groaned “ honestly at this point just fuck off “
he moved to pull the keys from the car unbuckling his seatbelt and opening the car door as your jaw hung open “ what the fuck Suna — “
“ I'm fucking off you ungrateful bit—“
“ you asshole — all of a sudden you take everything literal right ?? huh only when you want to right “
“ y’know what— no you fuck off —ok y/n “
“ see that’s what I'm talking about “
“ honestly I doubt you even know what you were talking about in the first place “
your steps quickened as you followed after the male who stopped at your front door imputing the code and opening your house door “ This is what I mean by you keep fucking with me Suna “
“ oh “ he moved to sit down on the couch arms flung behind it and legs spread wide out in front of him. “ is it really— because , the 40 minute argument in the car about your best friend hitting on me didn’t quite make that clear “ he scoffed shaking his head along with it “ your shitty reasoning must of gotten lost on one of the many streets of Japan y/n “
His eyes glowing body perking up with his next sentence “ yknow what how about you go find it hmm then we can have this little talk sometime later -- preferably when I'm sleeping id hate to be awake for another one of your hellish complaints babe.”
your anger was only growing as the argument continued “ you fucking douchebag I bet you don’t even know why I'm pissed off “
He let out a small sigh of a laugh his legs shaking and hitting each other in a wave before they resumed their earlier position “ I don’t“
“ and you don’t care either do you “
“ I don’t “
Your heart broke for the first time ever in your relationship with the stoic male after hearing his words and tone. In all the time you and your boyfriend had been together you two never argued about his lack of emotion or care.
It never bothered you
It never affected you
until it did
You smiled up at the taller male as his mouth continued to run while talking to the rest of his volleyball team. This was the first time you’d ever seen him talk for more than 5 minutes with anything other then yeah’s and small mhmms.
The both of you had been invited to a class reunion and you only decided to go because of his new teams constant nagging
Suna had been telling you all week to find something else to do and that you didn’t have to go with him. That it would be too boring and long and that you would be better off having fun without him.
Of course you put up a fight but, ultimately lost and decided to hang out by yourself for the earlier half of the day spending last weeks paycheck on this weeks shopping spree
it felt nice to treat yourself but you couldn’t help but want to treat your boyfriend too. The thought of him being bored alone plagued your mind and you had to get it out.
The only way to do that was to go to the reunion.
Now how you imagined it would go is you show up in your fancy new dress surprising him smile a bit , talk up some of the host and sneak your way in and then mingle and go home and cuddle and kiss your boyfriend all night
funny thing is somewhere in that prewritten script you had created you didn’t realize imagination is not always reality.
The sight of your boyfriend leaning against a wall with a glass in his hand and his other on the string of your best friends dress had you reeling in the disgust that you wanted to spill so badly on the floor right now
All you’d done was go to the restroom but now you sat with your eyes widening while you watched his eyebrows come together in annoyance with the string that wouldn’t come undone.
Your best friend faced away from him back to his chest and a small smile on her face. Cheeks heated from his touch and in that moment you cursed her for having a look on her face that made it visible how much she enjoyed his warmth. You wished she didn’t make it so obvious how the closeness to your boyfriend was making her feel
how it was encouraging her
Your heart broke when you seen Suna finally relax and blow air out of his cheeks before nodding softly almost thanking the gods that he figured it out and it was over
Your feet moving before you could even process what to say to either of them.
“ y-y/—“
your hand came in contact with your best friends face before she could even finish the loud slap echoing through the room as everyone turned to find the source of the noise
Eyebrows raising when they noticed it was not only a slap but a full on one sided battle between you and the girl who everyone seen as nice and quiet during your school years
They never knew of the undercover bitch that was lurking behind the surface. They’d never see the way she was smirking as she took every hit given to her in stride. Your boyfriends hands wrapping around your torso as he looked down and seen that you were hovering over her ripping her to bits
You never letting go of the grip your thighs held around her own as she whispered to where only you could hear “ aw poor y/n’s defending someone that doesn’t even want em—gonna go to jail for someone so unloyal huh “
Your eyes lit up with pure hatred as the security made their way over to you reaching to take you from Sunas hold and lessening your grip on the woman beneath you
“ sir we need you to let her go “
“ don’t touch me until you actually make it all the way to police academy you fucking lowlife. “ you spit out “ how the hell do you only make it to security much less high school reunion security “
“ the hell do you know — you don’t even know how hard police academy is asshole “
“ ah I bet your kids’ll be real proud “ your eyes squinted at his name tag “ todd — you kiss your wife with that mouth “
you laughed eyes rolling from him to suna “ or are you like this asshole and kiss your mistress with it instead ? huh toodles ? “
“ ha — ‘m gonna have fun with you--ya little prick. sir — let ‘em go or else i’ll pull out the big guns — they snuck in here and now their disrespecting an officer “
“ big guns “ your laugh circulated through the room “ ‘k sure let me stop before I get pepper sprayed “
“ my hands already on the trigger you lil bitc— “
“ hey “ sunas voice growled behind you “ watch who the fuck your talking to toodles“
“ just— get—get the fuck off dude I didn’t go to police academy so I could avoid this — their full on disrespecting me come on man get off“ your face scrunched up in annoyance as you saw the security look like they were about to cry
“ well I mean — “ he sighed “ it’s not like your a real officer right“ suna sighed out as he began to bite his lip in worry “ I mean we can let this slide right ? “ he nodded looking towards the males name badge “ uh toodles“
He coughed “ todd — I mean todd “
“ I’m sorry but, even if I could “ his gaze dead set on you “ which I really don’t want to — seeing as though they disrespected me “
His voice sounding proud as he continued “ and I'll have you know I'm security guard of the mouth asshole “
“ oh whoop dee fucking do Tinkerbelle ”
“ y-fucking-/n “ you could feel the way Suna was seething above you breath hot and you could tell his face was made up in a snarl “ if you don't shut the fuck up I swear on Atsumu’s unwashed boxers ill leave your ass prison letters starting tonight “
“ see —— sir I'm trying “ he sighed “ I really am trying to let this go but — “
“ their with me — “
“sure “ he scoffed “ I'll need to see some relations or — “
“ their my s/—their my plus one “ his eyes moved to look at everyone surrounding you guys then back to the position he now held you in before finally dropping you to the floor. Your heart dropping and ears tuning everything out from that point on.
Everything on mute until you got in the car and were finally met with his low voice as he buckled you in and walked to his side turning the car on “ y/n “
You turned to look out the window “ y/n that — “
His voice was so hard but so weak “ y/n that was so fucking embarrassing “ Your body shivered at his words
“ having to watch my fucking s/o almost get fucking arrested “
His hands tightened their grip on the wheel “ then turning around and having to talk you out of it in front of our whole graduating class “
his voice went deadpanned as he swerved a bit on the road mixing lanes “ and — and my team — oh fuck my team “
he started to breathe a bit heavier as you began to feel bad hearing the sadness in his voice. His body shifting in his seat “ all so you could “
he laughed a bit at the situation “ all so you could take your ugly ass insecurities out on your friend ? “
he scoffed looking from you to the road and back to you “ when did you two even stop being friends huh ? did I miss that or ?? do friends just go out and leave bruises on each other or is that something new? What-- is it like a new TikTok trend -- a fashion statement huh ?? the fuck is it because, I'm not a friend person so maybe you know something I don’t “
He scoffed “ maybe — maybe I'll never be a friend person after something like that. If friends are just beating each other’s asses in broad day light out the fucking blue then I'll just stick with ‘tsumu at least I know I can beat his ass if he were to pull some shit like that “
‘ friend ‘ you thought silently
“ poor kid didn’t even see it coming “ he shook his head at you turning back to the road “ holy hell that’s shameful y/n “
he whispered “ I don’t even wanna think about the rumors that’ll spread about us tomorrow “
The car was quiet only for a minute as Suna re arranged his thoughts before he could beat into you again “ friend Suna ? “
your voice was dry “ Rin do friends help each other out of their clothes ? “
your eyebrows creased “ do they focus so intently on another woman while their own is in the same room “
“ I didn’t know you were there “
“ SO YOU ONLY TAKE FRIENDS CLOTHES OFF WHEN IM NOT THERE “
“ NO I “
“ YOU ONLY TOUCH OTHER WOMEN WHEN IM NOT THERE “
“ y/n jus— “ he took a deep breathe and let it out “ just shut up its not like that “ he let out an uncomfortable and tired scoff of a laugh “ it wasn't like that “
“ it’s always shut up Suna it’s never ‘ what’s wrong y/n ‘ ‘ are you ok y/n ‘ it’s just ‘ shut up I don’t wanna talk so you don’t wanna talk either ‘ “
you locked eyes with the male in front of you “ I'm done Rin I'm— I'm done “
“ you cant leave me-- heh not after that shit you pulled back there  “
“ fuck if I cant--you don't look like my legs to me and as far as I know their still Bluetooth connected to my mind so-- “
“ you'll be an overnight clown you-you need me y/n “ he shook his head “ we need each other “
“ no you need volley ball because you need money-- because guess what asshole as of right now-- your homeless”
“ fuck you as if “
“ we’re over Suna don't let my words finally hit you when you walk out the shitty door”
“ that’s fine by me “ he scoffed “ get the hell out for all I care — I'll pack your shit for you “
“ no— I'll pack your shit asshole your living  in my house bottom feeder “
“ if you don’t shut the fuck u— “
“ then what ? huh what — you’ll leave me “
“ I swear to god I'll —”
“ you’ll what cheat on me with my best friend ah I'm so scared — “ your voice holding nothing but mock enthusiasm “ I can just imagine the way you’ll kiss her when I'm not there — these thoughts for some reason almost feels real y’know “
you watched as the man you’d taught yourself to love for 7 years since high school finally walked out the door. His perfume from earlier still hanging in the air long after the door slammed. Your mind racing when you were finally brought to one thought
‘ how did we end up like this and how the hell do we get back ‘

Little caresses of soft fingers running up and down your bare back made you shiver, waking you up, your eyes flutter open.
You groaned and buried your face in the pillow. Steve's chuckle echoed throughout the room before you felt wet kisses being spread all over your lower back, slowly making their way up to your shoulders. Fingers moving your hair to one side exposing your right ear.
"Good morning, Dollface" he whispered in your ear in his husky voice, which honestly always sounds like that when he just woke up, and he bit your ear lobe making butterflies erupt in your stomach and making you a little giddy.
You had spent the night in Steve's room, the light soft reddish color coming through the windows and painting the white walls of Steve's room making you aware that it was probably just dawn, the atmosphere was calm and familiar and his bed was certainly a thousand times more comfortable than yours could ever be.
"Good god, Steve. I bet you it's not even 6:00am" you mumbled sleepily, he might be a super soldier but you needed your 9 hours of sleep. Steve let out a chuckle in your ear again, bringing shivers all over your body.
"You really look cute when you're half asleep like that" he replied still talking into your ear, running his soft hand all over your back only to then grab your waist, letting his arm rest there. "I want to marry you."
You smiled before turning your body to be face to face with Steve knowing he wouldn't let you sleep anymore, you pulled the white silk sheet in your best effort to cover your body looking up at him. He was leaning on his left elbow, his right arm still wrapped around your waist, his torso was naked, the sheets on his hips.
"But I already said ‘I do’, baby" you smiled showing him the ring on your left hand and remembering your wedding day. You had been best friends for what seemed like forever before a mission which required you to pretend to be married led to you both confessing your feelings, then you had realized it had all been a plan by the others to finally get you to admit what they had already known for quite some time, that the mission never really required you to go as a couple, but you couldn't be mad at them, quite the opposite, you felt a deep gratitude towards them, because you would never have been able to do it on your own. A year later, Steve had taken you to the roof of the Compound where you could see the distant lights of the skyscrapers of New York, where he had prepared you a dinner with your favorite meals and a bottle of wine and had gotten down on one knee, opening the little red velvet box with the most beautiful ring you had ever seen, he really was a 40s man, full of romance and chivalry.  Six months later you were married.
"Right, but I'm talking about a vow renewal, I just can't believe you're mine, you're like a dream" he let out, the pink painting his cheeks matching yours.  His dirty blonde hair was a mess and his eyes sparkled with pure adoration.
"You really are full of compliments today, huh?" you smiled bringing your hand to his hair and giving it a little squeeze. You loved this Steve, he had always been romantic and protective of you, but this Steve, the one you only knew in the early morning hours was driving you crazy, the sentimental Steve, full of compliments and caresses and without shirt on. The Steve who could look into your soul with just one look and that lazy smile. The one only you knew.
"Stop complaining, you know you love it" he said smiling mischievously, like a little boy.
"I can't complain" you shrugged, sliding your fingers down his hard chest, imagining how good it would look with a couple of tattoos on it. You bit your lip thinking about it before returning your gaze to him, who already had his eyes on you, his eyes glowing, fingers at your waist squeezing. Before you could register what was happening, he had lunged towards you pressing his lips hard against yours, you sighed as you felt his lips sucking on yours and grabbed his cheeks pulling him closer to you, his hands taking your waist and lifting you up to get you on top of him, he bit your bottom lip asking for entrance but you put both hands on his chest putting distance between the two of you, ending the kiss and shaking your head. You still hadn't brushed your teeth.
He grunted with discontent and pouted, completely adorable, but kept his arms around your waist. You stroked his hair and he closed his eyes, sighing.
"I really love you" he let out, looking into your eyes, with an expression you couldn't read, he suddenly looked worried and even a little scared. "I would do anything to protect you, you know that right?".
You frowned.
"What is this all about?" you asked leaning your face on his chest looking into his eyes. “What’s on your mind?”
He shook his head before giving you a small smile, wanting you to forget the subject.
"It's the mission, isn't it?" you sighed.
He looked at you for a long moment and you knew the answer.
Steve along with Fury had been tracking a dangerous organization for months that for some reason were targeting Steve. They both believed it wasn't that big of a threat. They had only sent Steve a couple of death threats, but being Captain America and part of the Avengers, there were always enemies. But when one afternoon, a threat had come to you, Steve got to work and he and Fury had been tracking the origin of these for months and now they finally had a lead.
"It's probably nothing," he said, "don't worry about it, Fury will go with me on this one. Maybe the lead will be useless." You knew he didn't want to worry you but you couldn't help it, you wanted to go with him this afternoon but you as well as everyone else had other missions to attend to.
You nodded and kissed his chin reassuringly.
He placed a kiss on your forehead and released you by turning you to your side of the bed, before getting out of bed, putting on his sweatpants and putting on his white shirt.
It was your turn to pout, missing his warm body.
"Come on, Dollface." He said placing his palms on the mattress and leaning over to you "I'll make you those chocolate chip pancakes and when I get back from the mission we're going to watch that Jason Bourne movie you love so much."
You let out an excited squeal and hugged him by the neck pulling him back into bed.
"You sure know how to spoil a girl."
_
Steve never returned from that mission.
That afternoon you were in the kitchen preparing popcorn for movie night with Steve and the next minute, Fury had come out of the elevator doors, concern filling his face and honestly it was the most you had ever seen him show any emotion, he had quietly approached Tony, ignoring the greetings of the team that was hanging out in the living room, he had taken him to the briefing room and they had been inside for quite a while. You had been watching the elevator doors waiting for Steve to come out of them before deciding to ask Fury, but before you could even take a step, Tony had left the room and the moment you looked at his face, your stomach sank, a horrible feeling surrounding you. You had never seen Tony like that before, the look in his eyes was something you would never be able to describe, he was pale, his eyes seemed sunken and he kept looking nowhere in particular. A few moments later that seemed like hours, he had uttered the words that broke you inside.
Steve hadn't made it.
You don't remember much after that, all you remember is popcorn strewn all over the kitchen floor, a deafening scream that you never realized you had let out, and the pain in your knees as you fell to the floor. You remember screams coming from the others, asking Tony and Fury for explanations and a lot of commotion. But what you could never forget even if you wanted to was the pain of your heart being squeezed inside you and the horrible feeling that now everything would be different.
That had been 1 year and 6 months ago. Since the news everything had been a blur. It was as if you were seeing everything from outside your body. The first few days, you didn't leave the living room couch, your gaze focused on the metal doors of that gray elevator, you didn't eat, you didn't sleep, waiting for Steve to show up with his suit dirty from the mission and the shield in his hand, telling you that it had taken a little longer than usual but that everything had gone well, that he had nothing but a few scratches on his body and that he would take a shower before cuddling up with you in bed.
The day you understood that Steve would never walk out those doors, you couldn't help but be angry at him for leaving you alone that morning after breakfast and not asking for help from the team, but more than anything you were angry at yourself for not doing anything about it. You thought it was a routine mission, just to confirm that the clue was legit. You never gave the subject much thought. You couldn't believe you had been so naive and you knew it was your fault.
The next few months after that you and the team as well as Fury had been immersed in the case, trying to track down the organization and the man responsible for Steve's death. Thousands of leads were emerging every day but they all led to a dead end. The team wasn't much better, everyone blamed each other for Steve's death but you knew it all affected Tony the most. Natasha and Wanda were there for you but Bucky was the one who were constantly with you during the first few months, supporting you and looking out for you. But you could see he was hurting too, Bucky had gone back to his old self, he was withdrawing from everyone, except you. Barely making conversation with the others and most of the time going out without telling you where he was going. You wanted to ask him about it but you knew he needed time. Hell, you needed it too. A year and a half later it seemed like everything was back to normal, even though you knew that inside you were all different people. Losing family wasn’t easy.
Thank God you had Matthew, an agent who worked at the coumpound, he had been in charge of the funeral and since then, he always made sure you were okay, at first it was small talk in the hallways, telling you how sorry he was and asking you how you were feeling, then it was little gifts, he always brought you coffee and gave you a smile when he saw you filling out reports in the briefing room, before you knew it he had become a great friend. His blue eyes and the way he treated you reminded you of Steve, and you knew you were drawn to that sense of familiarity and comfort. Then at that party, he had kissed you and although his kisses were nothing compared to Steve's, you accepted a date with him when he asked you the next day.
"Are you okay? You look distracted" Wanda's thick accent brought you out of your thoughts, you turned to look at her and her eyes were looking at you with concern.
You cleared your throat. "Yeah, I'm fine." You replied avoiding her questioning eyes, taking your necklace between your hand squeezing it. The wedding ring now taking its place on this one and not on your finger. Everyone was in the kitchen; you were sitting at the table peeling an orange and Wanda was next to you. Natasha was next to Bruce making himself a sandwich while Tony was complaining about the coffee grounds they had toss out in the sink, you let out a small chuckle, you knew it had been Sam who was sitting there reading a magazine completely ignoring Tony. Clint was spending the weekend with his family and Bucky was nowhere to be seen.
"I know this may be a difficult day for you" Wanda murmured moving closer to you, making sure no one else could hear. "We completed the mission. We arrested the bastard who..." she sighed "I know that maybe you thought this would bring you relief. But everything gets better with time, believe me I know." She had promised never to read your mind and you knew she had not. You smiled at her, you loved the fact that she knew you so well that she didn't have to use her powers to know what you were thinking.
2 days ago, the mission had been completed, they had found the person responsible for Steve's death and had dismantled the organization, surprised to find that they had some infiltrators right there working in the Compound, people you looked at every day, people who had seen you suffer and they were responsible all this time. You pushed those thoughts out of your mind quickly as you felt rage growing inside you again. You sighed deeply and remembered that Fury was taking care of it. Everything would be okay now.
"So how are things going with Matt?" Natasha asked approaching the table as she munched on her sandwich. Before you could answer, Fury appeared through the kitchen door. You frowned. It was unusual to have a visit from him at this hours of the night.
"Briefing room. Now," was all he said before turning and walking out of the kitchen. The whole team was surprised but followed him without a word. Entering the briefing room, you leaned against the wall in one of the corners waiting for Fury to speak.
"Two years ago we became aware of an existing threat that was harming one of our team. We mistakenly thought it was something minor, it wasn't until a year and a half ago that we discovered it was all part of something bigger and more dangerous. Something highly sensitive that if not handled correctly could harm us and the nation by exposing secrets of our operations."
"We already know that..." Tony began speaking, with one hand on his head, looking exhausted.
"Maria and I came up with a plan that we would put into action once we got the first lead" he interrupted, ignoring Tony's comment. "If we made them believe that they had achieved their goal, we would have an ace up our sleeve when it came to dismantling their organization, which we have done successfully, thanks to the help of this person..." he sighed and looked at the floor "I ask you to please try to understand."
I frowned, just as confused as the whole team.
"What are you talking about, sir?" You let out and he turned to look at you, sighing once more before shaking his head pointing towards the door.
"Hello, Dollface."
Everything happened in slow motion, the room filled with a deafening silence, you turned towards the door directing your gaze to the source of the voice. And if it wasn't for those blue eyes that wouldn't take their eyes off you, You knew you'd pass out right there.
Steve.
He was standing in the doorframe. And he looked different; his hair was longer, his beard covered half of his face and he looked 10 years older, he had dark circles around his eyes as if he hadn't slept since that morning when he had woken up next to you kissing your body. He was wearing a dark blue suit, and Bucky was standing next to him.
Realization fell over you and you felt your stomach sunk. Tears stung your eyes and you couldn't breathe. You walked slowly towards him, not trusting your own legs and planted yourself in front of him, he was like the ghost of the old Steve, only this one was rough around the edges, his eyes looked at you with adoration but also regret. Before he could say a word, you slapped him.
The sound of hand against cheek echoed across the room. Steve didn't seem surprised. Suddenly the whole room was filled with commotion, everyone started talking at the same time, but you couldn't take it anymore, you felt that at any moment you would fall to the floor. So you just walked out of there, but not without giving Bucky a death glare. The bastard knew it all along.
You ran to your room, ignoring the calls of Steve running after you and the commotion of the place. You locked the door to your room and locked yourself in the bathroom, where you couldn't hear Steve knocking on your door over and over again. You looked at yourself in the mirror, you were a mess, the tears wouldn't stop falling even though you didn't feel them and your face was pale, with trembling hands you ripped off the necklace with the ring and threw it on the floor before sitting down on the floor and started crying.
_
It had been a week since Steve had returned, a week that you had been avoiding him, against your better judgment you had gone to Matt's apartment where he had offered you a place to stay, the coumpound being the last place you wanted to be. You felt your body move and perform the simplest of tasks like washing the dishes, folding your clothes or even watching a movie but your mind just wasn't there, you were like a zombie, and it was already starting to affect your relationship with Matt, you knew it wasn't fair to him but you couldn't care in the slightest, not for now. You hated to admit it but you missed Steve, you missed his voice, his laugh, the way he looked at you, his kisses, his touches. And knowing he was so close to you was driving you crazy. But he had betrayed you. He knew it, he knew it all that time and he didn't tell you, he didn't dare to tell you that morning when it was just you and him. He had let you suffer for a year and a half. To hell with the plan, he had broken your heart. The next morning after he came, you had sneaked into Natasha's room and left the necklace with the wedding ring for her to give back to Steve, she tried to talk some sense into you but you had already made up your mind, after that you had left with Matt.
"I like this part, it's when she realizes the alien is with her on the ship" you heard Matt's voice speak, you two were watching a stupid sci-fi movie, your gaze on the screen but you weren't paying attention to it, your mind wandering elsewhere.
"Mmmh."
"And then she befriends the alien."
"Uh-huh."
"And then they move in together and play badminton on Sundays."
"Interesting."
"That's it" he said letting out a sigh before grabbing the remote and turning off the TV, snapping you out of your thoughts. "You're not even listening”.
Guilt wash all over you.
"Sorry, I was just a little distracted that's all." you said quickly.
He turned to look at you and gave you a smile but it didn't reach his blue eyes, which now that you took a good look at him were nothing like Steve's at all. "This isn't going to work, is it?" he finally asked but you knew he already knew the answer.
You sighed and shook your head slowly. He was a sweet boy and deserved better.
"I'm sorry" you said "I don't want you to think I'm just using you to get over Steve, I really like you, it's just... things are really complicated in my life right now" you finally admitted.
"I know" he said wiping away a tear you didn't know had escaped. "I knew from the moment I heard he was back. I can't even imagine what you're going through right now" he murmured.
You gave him a weak smile "I know I haven't been fair to you the last few days and I'm sorry, I know you deserve someone better, a woman who is completely crazy about you, and who will be because you are kind, thoughtful and deserve better than someone who is broken."
"You're not broken," He assure you. "I just think you really miss him and need him, and I'll let you in on a secret...he does too."
"Thank you, Matt." you said before getting up from the couch and grabbing the few things you had brought with you before heading for the door.
"I know this job demands a lot from us but there is nothing you two can't overcome, you are Steve and Y/n after all" he spoke behind you "just give him a chance to explain himself, you both deserve it."
You turned and gave him a small smile before walking out the door.
_
Steve was sitting at the bar, drinking his whiskey even though he knew he couldn't get drunk no matter how much he wanted to. He was twirling your wedding ring between his fingers. Ever since Natasha had given it to him he hadn't been able to take his eyes off it. Everything had gotten out of control. He took one more sip, savoring the burning sensation in his throat when he did, a hand patted his shoulder and he watched as Bucky sat down beside him.
"You're missing the party," he said sipping from his beer.
"Did you know that she's been staying at Matt's apartment these few days?" he blurted out completely ignoring his friend's earlier comment.
Bucky sighed, not quite knowing what to say.
"I remember Matt, I used to train him when he was first recruited, a good guy" he muttered "He can give her the life she deserves".
"Come on dude" bucky snorted "they've been dating for a month, it's not like they're getting married".
"It's not like she can't" Steve said "I'm sure she'll be sending me the divorce papers any minute now".
Bucky gasped.
"Impossible, she's crazy about you." He said continually shaking his head.
"I messed it up with her, Buck" he said finishing his drink before getting up and heading to his room, he was in no mood to party.
He had messed up, that morning he just thought it would be a simple mission and that he would be back that afternoon but then the lead had turned out to be more important than they had thought. Fury had told him the plan but there was no time to think about the pros and cons, they were up against the clock. So decisions were made and as much as it pained him he knew that was the only way to keep her safe, because they would come for her, of that he had no doubt. And he would do anything to protect her. Anything.
_
You could hear the faint sound of music coming from downstairs, the party was in progress as you walked down the empty hallways leading to the bedrooms, relieved that everyone was at the party and didn't see you coming. Matt’s words surrounding your thoughts, maybe what you needed was to hear it from Steve before you could move on with your life. You didn't realize that you had unconsciously made your way to Steve's room until you opened the door and looked inside, the room that for a year had been empty was now occupied by his things. With trembling hands you closed the door behind you and looked at his things, a shirt was on the bed and you couldn't help but pick it up and smell it. God, you had missed him so much.
Tears began to flood your eyes again but you were sick of crying so you left the shirt where it was and sat on the big bed, memories about that morning before he left filling your mind.
"I would do anything to protect you, you know that right?".
You shook your head at the memory, pushing those thoughts out of your head and placed your head in your hands.
You heard the door to the room being open and you cursed under your breath. You knew you had to face him but you didn't think it would be so soon, he was supposed to be at the party, his party.
You quickly raised your head and watched him walk in, he was wearing a completely black suit, his long hair was perfectly combed back and he still had that beard, he looked like a dream, butterflies erupting in your stomach and you had to take all your willpower not to jump him. There was a lot to talk about.
He had his eyes on the floor but when he looked at you an expression of surprise covered his face. This was the last place he thought you would be. He called your name in surprise and you quickly got out of bed.
"Sneaking out of the party?" you let out a nervous laugh at his intense stare, he hadn't moved a muscle "Come on, Steve. You know that’s not nice."
Several seconds passed and he didn't speak, maybe this was a bad idea, coming to his room was a bad idea. You turned to grab your bag off the bed and get out of there when his voice spoke behind you.
"Can I hold you?" he blurted out, startling you. You turned to look at him, he had his hands shoved in his pockets and looked shy, as if he was sure you would tell him no.
Your heart skipped a beat and you nodded your head slowly. There was a lot to talk about but you missed him more than anything in the world and you needed him. Without you having to repeat it to him, he took long strides to where you were and took you in his arms, pressing you against him, burying his head in your neck and inhaling your scent, making you shiver. You slipped your arms around his neck and shoulders and held on to him, he smelled just like you remember, of his favorite cologne and mint, and now a little whiskey too. You felt tears fill your eyes and you squeeze them shut to keep them from coming out. It felt almost unreal, while he was gone you had dreamed a thousand times of holding him in your arms, you didn't think you would ever be able to feel him again, to hear his jokes, his laughter and the way your name came from his lips. It was all too much.
Just as quickly as he had walked towards you and hugged you, he broke away from you and walked to lean against the wooden door he had entered through, too far away from you for your liking, his gaze fixed on the floor and his hands in his pockets. "I need to say this, and I can't do it if you're too close to me," he let out in a hurried voice and continued, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for all the hurt I caused you during the time I was away, that morning I didn't know things would end up so badly, but it was worse than we thought and everyone was in danger...you were in danger. And I couldn't let them harm you because of me. There wasn't enough time to think of a better plan than the one Fury had come up with. I promised myself I would tell you I was safe but we realized there were infiltrators here in the building, I knew they would be watching your every move, I would put you in danger if I told you. So I told Bucky to look out for you. I know that it doesn't justify what I put you through but I needed you to know." He sigh closing my eyes. "I understand if you hate me, I know I ruined us and Matt is a great guy, I always knew you deserved someone who didn't have such a complicated life or put you at constant risk but please, I just want you to know... not only am I deeply in love with you, you are my best friend."
You couldn't breathe and you were aware that you were crying again, so without thinking twice, you advanced with a determined step towards him and when he looked up, you took his face with your hands wiping his tears away and planted a kiss, pushing your body to his, you took him by surprise but it only took a second for him to grab you by the hair and get you closer to his mouth. You had missed him so much, and yet it was as if you still knew his lips by heart and he knew yours, both matching perfectly. You let out a small groan as he lowered his hands to your waist and grabbed one of your thighs indicating you to jump, turning you around pushing you to the door, the new angle allowing you to kiss him better since he was much taller than you. After a few seconds you broke away to take a breath of air. You leaned your head back against the door running your fingers through his beard, taking your time to memorize him, he was the same yet so different but you definitely liked it.
"Stop looking at me like that, you're making me weak" he mumble hiding his face in your neck, his beard scratching your bare skin making you shiver and let out a giggle.
"I really like this beard, please don't ever shave it off". You sighed as he gave you little kisses on your neck, tickling you.
"Mmmh."
He planted one last kiss on your neck before you brought your legs to the floor again.
"I think you have something that belongs to me" you whispered as you reached into the small pocket of the black shirt; the small wedding ring. You had felt it when you were kissing him. You took it and placed it back on your finger. Steve looked at you confused but at the same time a full smile appeared on his face. You pressed your forehead to his and placed your hands on his chest.
"Don't leave me like that again, you scared me." You whispered to him.
"I promise I won't, Dollface" he whispered back. You knew there was still a lot to talk about but what you were completely sure of was that Steve Rogers never breaks a promise.

“Uh, Jason? We might wanna let god fix it, because if we fix it, we’re going to jail.”
☈ - ✮ ✭ ✮
Six months. That’s how long it took for Jason to die. Six. Whole. Months. In an abandoned warehouse, in some foreign country that he couldn’t even remember. He’d been fifteen, small for his age but fifteen nonetheless, when that clown had beat him. And what had Batman done? Nothing. He’d let him sit in that warehouse, in that foreign country, with that clown at age fifteen- for six months. And he had done nothing.
Not that it really matters now. It had, at one point, to Jason. He’s in denial that it still does. But to Batman? Oh, it never mattered at all. How long had it taken Bruce to replace his son? A week? A month? No, it had been six months. Barely. And the clown? He was safe and sound, very much alive and loose as he usually was. Batman had put him in Arkham, after a while, but of course it hadn’t lasted for very long. Jason’s death? That was permanent. At least until there was a new and improved and very much replaced Jason running with Batman, six months later. That was permanent too.
So one can imagine the confusion you felt when you opened the door to find a very much alive ex-Robin on your apartment doorstep.
201 Arkham Street, apartment 317 Gotham City, Gotham County, New Jersey
That’s the address given to him by the Riddler. Putting him in Arkham seemed to be one thing that the Batman had got done during Jason’s little time away. Clearly it had ended up well enough for at least one person. Jason hadn’t even needed to threaten the Riddler out of riddling. In less than ten minutes, Edward Nygma had revealed the Mockingbird’s address, who they like and don’t like, what their suit was made of, and finally their name. Batman had always assumed Riddler and Mockingbird were best friends, birds of a feather with all the times the they’d seemed to make some kind of appearance by the others side. Some friend Riddler was now.
Jason had snuck into the Batcave recently, and while going through files, decided to take a glimpse into Mockingbird’s just for the sake of curiosity. He wasn’t expecting much. When he was fifteen, it had been near empty. But sure enough, the file had been expanded upon relatively greatly in the past- what? Four years? That sounded right. But one thing that hadn’t changed was your seemingly long standing friendship with Edward Nygma, the Riddler. Still, so much for it.
Batman had seemingly made a note of allies of theirs, then crossed out multiple names. Poison Ivy, Bane, Deadshot- and yes- the Riddler, stayed. Scarecrow, Black Mask, and Catwoman were all shockingly crossed out. Jason hadn’t expected the last one. Below the allies were the list of crimes. That had changed too. They’d gotten more violent towards the end of the list, straying away from the Mockingbird that the ex-Robin had known. Mockingbird had picked a fight with Dick’s Nightwing enough times for Batman to make a note of too. Before Jason could get to the new pictures of Mockingbird, he quickly closed the file. Didn’t need to see anymore.
So based on what he had gathered, you should’ve looked different. He’d memorized your face when he was fifteen. Was expecting it to have changed compared to then. But when you open the door and Jason’s face to face with you, Mockingbird, it’s like the first time. Only your eyebrows have gotten slightly darker, and your eyes have rung with dark circles.
✮ ✭ ✮
The same can’t be said for Jason Todd, however, who you let into your apartment rather quickly.
You’d done your research on him, too, but only after you’d heard about his death. A death which was confirmed. After locking the door and beginning to turn around, he answers the question before you can ask.
“Superboy and Lazarus Pits.”
“Ah,” you respond, crossing your arms. The man stands tall in your living room, though it’s not forced. You’ve got no idea what a Lazarus Pit is, but it seems to have changed the Robin you knew before. He was scrawny before. He puffed his chest out before. He had something to prove before. Now his broad shoulders make him look bigger naturally. He could reach up and touch your ceiling with no effort. His face and jaw are masculine and strong, eyes bright green and blue and cyan like you remember. That’s how you know it’s Jason Todd.
“It’s because of the power struggle, isn’t it?” says Harley beside you as you both look over the side of the roof, her flat on her belly and you crouched on the ledge in watch.
“Hm?” you’d tossed back through your voice changer, not even looking away from the busy street below.
“Jay killed the Robin,” Harley chirps. “You know- Batman’s little boyfriend? In the shorts and the tights with the flips and the kicks? Oh, that kid went bing, bang, boom. Jay’s been real pumped about it.”
This had made you turn to Harley Quinn. You looked at her over your shoulder, still in position. Though you hadn’t thought about it at the time, it was a good thing she couldn’t see through your mask right about now.
“The kid?” you say at last.
“Yeah! Jason Todd! Ya’ know him?”
Harley doesn’t look at you, bubbly as ever in her own world. But you watch her for a moment. Then you turn back around to the direction of the street. “No.”
“Well I’m sayin I bet that’s why there’s so much crime goin’ on now. Old Batty’s got it...”
“I heard,” you tell Jason, before he can go into further detail. He nods once in understanding, in line with a breath, and then looks around the room. Your apartment is small, seemingly in decay, and looks like a shithole. Just like the rest of the building.
“Mockingbird, I presume,” he offers finally. “Y/N L/N was it?”
You nod once, holding your gaze at the ground in thought before taking a step toward your kitchen. It’s close by to the living room. So close, in fact, that your island counter practically touches the back of your couch. “Robin,” you greet in turn.
“My name’s Ja-”
“I know what your name is.”
Just then a sprinkle of dust falls from your ceiling, mixing with dirt and shit and pollen. “Nice place,” Jason condescends.
“I’m sorry,” you put your hands on your counter as you lean in to look at him. “Weren’t you under the ground not too long ago?”
“Weren’t you in jail not too long ago?”
“I never went to jail.”
“But your buddy Ed did didn’t he?”
Your eyebrows crease, and Jason notices you lean forward a fraction of an inch more. He got to you. “How do you know about Edward?”
Jason Todd gives a small smile. His right hand reaches up until it’s poking the side of his head a few times. “Bat knowledge.”
You frown tightly. “Don’t do that. I didn’t like that.”
“You like beating up Dick Grayson?”
You shift. “Yeah. I did.”
“And Catwoman? Huh?”
“Yeah,” you say a little louder. “I did. What wonder boy? You wanna see the scar to prove it?”
“Okay,” Jason huffs. He closes his eyes, his jaw clenching, and then he speaks softer to control himself. “Okay. I’m not Boy Wonder anymore, or wonder boy. Don’t call me that.”
You look him up and down. His eyes, his jaw, his brows. The Robin you knew those years ago. He’d been beaten and blown up. He must’ve cried for help.
“Okay,” you say, equally as soft. “But just for the record, I haven’t been the Mockingbird for years. Can’t really call me that either.”
“Why not?” Jason Todd questions, turning around so his back faces you while he observes your apartment. You can see his muscles through his shirt.
Because you were just a kid. Because I liked you. Because you didn’t deserve it. Because Batman didn’t help. Because you were replaced. Because most of my friends laughed it off. Because I couldn’t go after Joker myself. Because I got angry.
“Just grew out of it,” you shrug instead, turning around. You open your dirty fridge and pull out a bottle of lemonade and two glasses. “What are you doing here, Jason?” you say as you pour the drink, your back now turned to him.
“I need your help.”
“Whatever with?”
“I’m thinking of getting a little...” Jason’s voice goes low into something like a masculine purr, “...revenge on Batman.”
“You came back from the dead,” you turn around with two glasses of lemonade, “to get revenge on the Batman? That’s your great plan?”
“No,” Jason says simply. He’s since turned around so he’s facing you. “Screwing with the Batman is just a piece of the fun. He’s nothing.”
Jason accepts the glass that you hand to him. You sit down on your couch in front of his figure. That simple motion is enough to bring out some more dust from your walls. “So what’s the revenge?” you take a sip of the sweet, gritty liquid. It coats your teeth strangely in seconds.
“New Robin. Ever heard of Tim Drake?”
You stop your sip, looking up at the big, broad Jason. You can already tell where this is going. “Uh, Jason? We might wanna let god fix it, because if we fix it, we’re going to jail.”
His brows shoot up. “You hit me in the face with a pipe.”
“I didn’t hit you. You walked into my swing. But you wanna go after the kid, Jason? Really?”
“Yeah.” He crosses his arms so his forearms flex.
“Tim Drake?”
“Yeah.”
You roll your eyes in thought. On one hand, you hadn’t been Mockingbird for years. You stopped when you were eighteen, and you’re twenty one now. Not that it’s helped you very much. You’re still struggling in a shithole, broke and unhappy and no longer able to afford school. And Tim Drake hasn’t really done anything wrong. But on the other hand, Batman is a dick, and you really stopped liking him after what happened to the former Robin. You’d wanted to go after him and the Joker for it, but you’re not far enough in the Gotham food chain for that. Trading swings with Selina was as close as you got.
“Alright.” You stand. You’re not even close to Jason’s height. “Lay out the deal. You got a suit?”
✮ ✭ ✮
And that’s how you and Jason Todd ended up on a roof that night. You, at the crisp age of twenty one, and he at what you suppose is his version of nineteen. Still working on wrapping your head around that one.
You’ve pulled out your Mockingbird suit from under the bed. It was a bit dusty, but not hard to slip into. Everything seems in place. It’s just old. Your voice scrambler is still working okay and all the eyes light up efficiently. Jason’s got a suit too.
“I don’t,” Jason answers, his face suspicious. His eyes are twinkling as he looks down at you. It’s so hard to believe he’s just a boy- or was, last you saw him.
“Don’t worry,” you tell him. “I got you.”
You lead Jason to your room, into your closet, and into a space even farther back where an illuminated glass case the size of several yard sticks stands. It must cost more than your whole apartment. Inside of it is a metal suit like a military uniform, similar to Bruce’s Batsuit but with an Arkham emblem over the chest.
“Call it the Arkham Knight. You like it?”
“Where did you get this?” Jason steps forward, raking his eyes up and down the design. Bruce would hate it.
“I stole it from the Batcave.”
“The whole display case?” Jason snaps to you. Then his brows shoot up and he takes a step closer. “How do you know where the Batcave is?”
“How did you know where my apartment is? And yes, I took the whole case. It was just sitting there.”
Jason turns back around to the suit. It’s growing on him. He admires it. It’s perfect. The Arkham symbol will put the Batman into a state of despair. “Hard to believe you and Selina aren’t friends anymore.”
“We never were,” you mutter back. It’s really not his business that you ended so many partnerships because of his death.
“You’re sure this is the place?” you question. It sends Jason into a state of euphoria, hearing the distorted villainy of your voice again. It feels like the first time too, just like when he saw your face again. It feels how it did when he was fifteen and infatuated with the Mockingbird. It’s almost dizzying. It’s just strange to hear it knowing that now you’re on the same side.
“Yeah,” he answers through his helmet. His voice is distorted too. “This is the place.”
You’re overlooking a Gotham street at night, something you’ve both discovered vigilantes, heroes, and villains do a lot of. Smoke fills the air along with police sirens and building lights. You’re positioned in one of the outer districts though, away from most of the commotion.
“I can’t remember the last time I was here,” you say, half to yourself.
“I can,” Jason says back. “When I ran with Batman. Last year. I was fifteen.” Jason's voice drops. “Or was I...”
You frown behind your own mask. Of course. Jason died four years ago, and he was fifteen when that happened. He came back- you’re not sure when- older and stronger and behind on the changes of the world. He must not know about social media, or the latest television crazes, or the new roads in Gotham. It makes you sad.
All Jason sees when he meets your eyes through his visor is several red slanted lines. You’re both unreadable through your helmets.
“There’s a good restaurant down on this corner,” you both turn back to the street, crouching in wait. “Maybe B-Man likes it.”
“He never eats,” says the ex-Robin. “Never sleeps. Never does anything.”
“You know he broke my buddy Scarecrow’s bones last Halloween?” you scoff. “Literally for not knowing where Black Mask is. Your old boss is weird as hell.”
Jason cocks an eyebrow you can’t see. “Thought you weren’t friends with Scarecrow anymore?”
“Anymore? B-Man keeping tabs on me?”
“He keeps tabs on everyone,” Jason shakes his head. “You’re just a file.”
“Hm,” he hears you say. Contemplate, more like. You speak again after a moment of silence. “Well Scarecrow and me are fine, thank you for asking.”
Jason scoffs. “He your boyfriend or something?”
“My boyfriend’s over in Metropolis.”
Oh.
“How’s your girl?” Your head snaps to Jason at once, hands twitching around. “Or guy.”
He tosses a look to you that you can’t see, but you can guess at. Somewhere between ‘what the hell’ and ‘why the hell’ and an eye roll with furrowed brows.
“Come on. Rose Wilson seems your type. Ooh, Artemis?” You suddenly nudge his arm with your elbow. “Batgirl? Is it Dick?”
Another look is thrown your way. This time it feels more angry. “Whatever, Robin,” you offer lightly.
It dawns on you that perhaps Jason has never had a partner before. That seems more likely, especially after thinking about his situation, and suddenly you feel bad. It’s too late to vocalize an apology now though.
“Fine,” you say at last. “Let’s just stop talking.”
“Let’s do.”
✮ ✭ ✮
It starts raining not long after that.
The drops bounce off your suits harmlessly. There’s still no sign of this Tim Drake and Batman.
“Hey,” you break the silence. “Has anyone ever told you you look exactly like a statue?”
“Must be a resurrection thing.”
“Yep.”
The rain falls harsher.
“So,” Jason begins. “I have to ask. How do you do the- the…” he spins his pointer fingers around rapidly.
“What the fuck are you doing? What is that? No- what is that right there?”
“The thing that you do.”
“I’ve never done that in my life, Jason. What is that? Finger jiu jitsu?”
You hear Jason suck in a breath as he turns away. “You think you’re so funny.”
“You asked me for help. And between the two of us- who has died here? Not me. I’m hilarious.”
“Oh,” he scoffs. “So hilarious.”
“You seemed to think so. When…” your voice trails off. You almost wanted to mention that night in the warehouse to him. A memory of him looking up at you, his hands bound behind his back as he stares in wonder flashes in your mind. But it doesn’t linger for long. Movement in the street catches your eye. “Jason.”
Both your heads snap down to the place below. Sure enough, after a few seconds, a figure steps into view of the moonlight. A skinny kid with dark hair and a bright red and yellow costume. He looks younger than Dick or Jason.
“That’s him,” your partner says. He reaches behind his back and pulls out a long rod. It unfolds with a click that you recognize- the click of a gun.
“What?” you furrow your brows. “Woah- what?”
“I’m gonna shoot him,” Jason tells you casually, fiddling around with the weapon. It’s coming into shape more and more as a sniper rifle.
“That is a child,” you whisper hiss. “He’s like ten!”
“I don’t think he’s ten,” Jason puts his eye over the scope. “This is revenge.”
“Please, do not shoot a child for replacing you in your job of tightie whities vigilante.”
Jason huffs through his mask and looks over at you. “What did you think this was, bird?”
“I thought we were just like, gonna kick him in the balls or something! This is exactly what I meant by ‘we are going to jail’! I told you we should’ve let god fix it!”
“He’ll be fine.”
You knock the rifle out of the Arkham Knights hands with a bang. It clambers across the roof top until it’s nearly over the edge, half on half off.
Jason and you go down at once, shoulder to shoulder in a tackle. Thunder booms overhead. Through his visor, Jason sees you raise a white, gauntleted fist back in a punch, aimed right for his face. Luckily, he manages to catch you by the torso and neck and throw you off.
When he pushes himself to his knee and foot in a kneel, he looks up to find an exact replica of himself. Not literally, of course, but looking at you is like looking into a mirror. Your hand is placed on the rooftop the same way his is. Your knees are bent at the exact same angle as his own. When Jason cocks his head to the side slowly, yours follows him at the same time. So this is what it means to fight the Mockingbird.
He decides to reach for the gun at the side of his leg. He manages to fire once- and miss- a bang going off that he’ll be lucky Drake doesn’t hear over the storm. You knock the gun out of his hands easily, dodging a punch to the stomach before countering with one of your own to his face. It hits the exact same way Jason’s do. He sees your knuckles coming closer to him and almost thinks they’re his own.
Next idea is toss you off the building. Key word: you. Not him.
Jason grips the back of your head through your hood, reaching around. He carries you with him while he stands, tensing his abs as he feels you hammer your elbow away at them. It’s the knee to his crotch that makes him let go and let out a strangled groan.
But before anything else can happen, you spring forward at him in a pounce. Your palms latch onto his shoulders. His feet disconnect from the surface of the roof and the both of you go backwards until neither one of you are on the building at all, over the side.
Jason gets tangled in the emergency stair well. His metal suit clangs against it as he falls and tumbles down, either causing or saving some head injuries. You hit your back on an old street light before landing in a trash bin.
This is it, you manage to think to yourself. Lying in a garbage bin in Gotham at night. And in the rain. This is rock bottom.
I am going to kill everyone on the block for this, thinks Jason.
✮ ✭ ✮
You do eventually get up and remove yourself from the garbage bin. Jason sits at the bottom of the stairs, watching you. You do not exchange words. He does, however, follow you down the street as you essentially stomp.
“Ma’am,” he offers quietly to a gawking older woman.
You enter a small restaurant. More of a diner, really. The door jingles as it opens, and Jason watches you walk to the side until you find a table by the window. You sit down with a huff, tapping one of your helmets red eyes. He shuffles into the space ahead of you, nearly skirting the table across the floor with the bulk of his own muscle and suit. He can feel your judgy eyes on him as he clambers into the seat like a large, run down father.
“Hi there,” a chirpy waitress bounds. She’s a large, redheaded woman in a bright yellow uniform and a hat with a spring connected to a plastic burger on top. It is ridiculous, funny, and you are sadly not in the mood. “My, aren’t you two some interesting looking people! We don’t get a lot of men of metal around here!”
You both look at her silently, masks on but hatred seeping through boredly.
“What can I get you tonight?”
“A gun,” you drawl tiredly, rubbing your palms over your mask.
“We’re not sellin’ those right now, my dear. Something else?”
“Two cheeseburgers would be fine,” Jason speaks up for you.
“Two burgers,” the waitress repeats with a smile, writing it down in her burger notepad. Her cheeks are rosy as she beams happily. “And should I be expecting Superman?”
“Die,” you snap to her, watching her hurry off to the kitchen. Then you put your head down in your folded arms on the table.
Jason glanced around. It’s empty except for the two of you and some dumpy guy in a trucker hat with wide eyes. “What’re you staring at?” Jason all but barks. Normally, he tries to make himself as unnoticeable as possible in public. Not very confident or secure, it seems. But now he’s tired. He just fell down about a million floors worth of metal stairs. It’s late and he lost two of his guns.
“What?” you raise your head, also looking at the trucker hat man. “You’ve never seen two people in superhero suits before?”
“Beat it,” Jason orders.
The man is quick to stand and speed walk away. Still you egg on, “get out of here, bozo!”
“What a fuckin’ prick,” Jason grumbles as he watches the man trip down the street through his view from the window, the door still ringing to signal it’s been opened.
“Yeah,” you agree tiredly.
Your nimble fingers reach up and back to push your white hood from your head. Then they click against the sides of your face and pull the helmet away, revealing your face. You inhale as if you couldn’t get enough air before. Jason watches you, still as a statue, his visor giving him the luxury of being able to monitor your breathing.
“Now what?” you gripe, rubbing your eyes. It can’t be comfortable with all the armor on your hands, but you don’t seem bothered. You must’ve gotten used to it by now.
The Arkham Knight ahead of you only cocks his head to the side slightly. Silent with his helmet. “I’ll help you punch Tim but that’s as far as I’ll go.”
“Why are you defending this kid?” you hear Jason breathe in return. For a split second, electricity runs through you at the sound of his distorted voice, the way his body looks in his suit of armor and how unreadable he is through the helmet. It shocks you all the the way down to your crotch.
“You know,” you begin, eyes widening and voice quieting with a sudden nervousness. “He’s just a kid. Younger than you were.”
Jason scoffs and turns his head away from you, now looking out the window. Gotham is dark and damp outside. “Bullshit,” he scoffs. Then after a few seconds and continues. “Tim Drake and I are the same age.” His head pulls back slightly, fingers giving a strange, sudden twitch. “Or were. We’re-”
You’ll never know what Tim Drake and Jason Todd were. Jason never finishes his sentence, and only his suit flashes with little codes and details to let you know he’s still alive in there. Besides that, he’s as still, lost in sudden thought. You frown and lean in a bit, tapping your elbow with your fingers while you shift uncomfortably. “You’re nineteen, Jason.”
His head twitches again. Now you know he’s heard you. “I’m two years older than you,” you reason. “You’re nineteen.”
He’s quiet for a moment. “Why did you let me go?”
Your eyebrows scrunch and unscrunch. Another wave of electricity shocks down your body, but this time it’s because his voice sounded more like his own. You could hear it under the layers of metal and distortion. But option one is to respond to his question by pretending you don’t know what he’s talking about. That seems like it’s for the best.
“You were just a kid,” you tell him honestly. He silently presses you on. “And I just- I looked at you and I…” I really liked you, kid. Best night I had in years. Made me smile. God, you had to stop working with so many other Gotham city villains just for making jokes about the kid. “You were fifteen,” you say, looking away. “Just a kid.”
Jason watches you. Again, your head turns so you look out the window. He would’ve expected that to be the end of it, but you continue. “Why didn’t you turn me in?”
Jason’s about to pretend to not know what you’re talking about, because it seems like it’s for the best that way. But then he remembers you can’t see anything through his helmet. “What’re you talking about?” he gruffs.
“You saw my face in that warehouse,” you press. “If you had told Batman, I would’ve been to jail. Maybe Arkham. But that never happened. So why didn’t you tell him?”
I was obsessed with you, Jason’s mind screams. In love with you! It hisses, which makes Jason cringe. “Guess you were a kid too.” That’s right. You were seventeen back then. What is that? Last year of high school? You balanced a criminal career and the required education for a minor at the same time. Where were your parents during this?
Jason bites down on his lip hard. Parents. Should shut up about that, probably.
“I’m uh,” you bite your lip and then lick it. “I’m sorry for pushing you. On the roof.”
He shifts. “It’s nothing.”
You turn back to the window. Your arms uncross from atop the table and go to rest in your lap. This close and this still, Jason can make out all the details in your suit. It’s impressive. Kevlar and rubber and plastic, the Riddler had told him. Not the gloves. That’s metal and plastic.
“So,” Jason decides. “How do you that?” Your brows crease in confusion. He tries to do the finger motions he’d down before, which makes you cringe. “The mirroring. And the fighting and the…” he goes through the motions again. “It in your helmet?”
Your confusion sinks away. A new expression washes over your face as you lean in. One finger reaches up, poking your temple and you smile softly. “Bat knowledge.”
Just then, the waitress saves the day. “Two cheeseburgers for the scary suit people!” she beams, setting the plates down. For a second, her breasts are pressed into each of your faces. Jason first, who does not move and you can’t see under the helmet. You bite back a snicker but instead seep a childish look. Then you’re next, and you can feel Jason’s silent laugh under his Arkham Knight suit as your eyes go wide. “Enjoy, dears!”
“Boobs,” you shiver. “Just got boobs in my face.” And then Jason watches you carefully pick up the burger in your dangerous gloves, and take a bite.
Indeed, for the first time that night, the man in front of you reaches up and pulls off his own helmet with a click. You watch it be taken into his large, veiny hands and passed to the edge of the table, against the wall of the window. Then your eyes wander up to his face, which makes you chew slower.
A strong face. Sharp jaw, perfectly in line nose. Lips always pulled into a scowl. Bright eyes with tired circles and scars across his skin. There’s a streak of white in his dark hair you hadn’t noticed at all before, though now it’s practically blaring you in the face. Jason Todd is very handsome.
“What?” he says behind his burger, raising it to his lips but freezing before he can bite into it.
You shrug and focus again on your burger. You hear Jason bite into his own.
“I don’t have any money,” you tell him after a moment, swallowing down a bite.
“Me neither,” Jason answers. He nudges his head towards the window. “There’s an ATM across the street.” You nod in response.
A few bites in you speak again. The minutes have been filled with the noises of chewing and swallowing and yummy meat and cheese. “You ever heard of Mitski?”
Jason swallows his bite, which are bigger than yours. “What?”
“Mitski,” you repeat. “The singer?” Jason shakes his head. “You seem like you’d like her. My boyfriend hates her.”
Jason’s brows twitch.
“Why aren’t you with him?” he questions, taking another bite.
You roll your eyes. “Too expensive. He’s-”
“But he lives there.”
“He just didn’t offer,” you shrug. “I don’t have the money anyway. It’s fine.”
Jason cocks a brow. Your own boyfriend didn’t offer to get you out of this shithole?
You roll your eyes. “We haven’t talked in a long time okay? He’s busy. I’m busy.”
Both of Jason’s brows raise now, almost playfully. “Busy with what?”
You’d be offended if you weren’t busy trying to answer. What were you busy with? After you graduated, money went dry with university. It became less frequent after retiring from the Mockingbird mantle. Most of your jobs were minimum wage and short lived. You’re a bartender now, but not somewhere that’ll keep you going probably. Most days you sit around the apartment or run errands, sometimes hosting Ivy. Last time she’d been over, she’d given you a plant that had quickly died and spoke about Harley quite a bit. And Riddler obviously doesn’t come over anymore. Scarecrow had once but he’s off doing god only knows now.
“Shut up,” you hiss. “What are you busy with?”
“Controlling crime in Gotham,” Jason takes a bite.
“How’s that working out for you?”
“Well.”
“You know you didn’t have to ask me to do this,” you say. “You could’ve just asked someone else. There’s a lot of people in Gotham okay with child killing.”
“I wanted you,” Jason explains. He’s quick to speak again to keep you from thinking about his words. “You were the first person I thought of.”
You’re nearing the end of your burger. “How did you find me?”
Jason shrugs mid-chew. He’s almost done as well. “Riddler.”
“Gave me away that easy?”
“Yep.”
You chew your last bite. It was a good and hearty burger, the cheese melting perfectly against the patty and your tongue.
“You want anything else?” Jason asks.
You watch the street outside, eyes squinting on the ATM. “Jason,” you mutter. “Jason.”
✮ ✭ ✮
Three men snicker as they load up dark blue duffel bags. They’re slimey and smelly, like an old sewer. Money falls from the machine like a waterfall.
Their success doesn’t last long.
One of them comes in contact with the Mockingbird’s elbow and slams his head into a brick building. The other two are just inexplicably on the ground, incapacitated while the Arkham Knight stands overhead.
“Fuck,” you breathe through your helmet. “I missed this.”
Jason’s just picked up the duffel bag when the sudden sound of sirens blare through the air. It’s close. Too close.
“Well that’s no good,” you mutter. You turn to Jason, taking a sharp step forward. “Give it to me.”
His brows furrow under the mask.
“I’ll pay the waitress,” you say. “You run.”
Jason reaches behind his belt and shifts the weight of the bag into one hand. A gun appears- a small handgun. You duck down as he raises it at you, holding your head down as the BANG! rings through the air.
You stand back to your feet, bracing yourself at the sudden sight. The Arkham Knight charges you, but only to pick you up like you’re nothing and jump through the glass window he previously shot at. The adrenaline makes things hazy, but you can see the blue and red lights now. It doesn’t matter. The two of you fly across what turns out to be a pawn shop, burst through the back door and back room until you hit the cold outside air of Gotham again. Multiple doors slam shut behind you. You’re both out of breath and panting, and it’s raining again. This time in an alleyway.
But the cops won’t follow you out here.
It’s quiet besides the panting from you two. Jason has more endurance, you’re sure, but you can hear his breathing inside his helmet. He lets the duffel bag slip out of his grasp as you double over. “I did miss that,” you offer. “Running from the police.” The Arkham Knight just continues his breathing.
“Thank you,” you tell him.
✮ ✭ ✮
Two days after the incident, you enter your apartment lazily. Your keys are tossed onto the island counter before you wander through your mail. One of your letters is from Ed in Arkham, warning you about “some big guy asking about you”. A bit late for that now. You haven’t heard from Jason since that night.
It isn’t until you go to sit on your couch that you notice a large, nearly bursting open envelope. Your fingers stretch to reach it, examining it. No return address, but written in pen in sloppy letters is the word “Bird”. Luckily, it doesn’t feel like a bomb. It feels more soft but firm.
You open the envelope. Your breathing hitches, breath slowing when you see what’s inside. Then a smirk comes over your face.
Just then, dust falls from your shitty apartment ceiling.
✮ ✭ ✮
A week after the failed Tim Drake incident, a young man decides to pay a visit to your building. He is tall and strong, with raven hair laced with a white streak at the front. He frowns at everything, ducking his head to make himself smaller and less noticeable. He cares not for being perceived by other people. He’s well aware of how he looks.
The man’s knuckles tap against apartment 317. He shifts, looking back and forth. The man is quite attractive in is casual red hoodie and jeans, but he wants to be out of the open as soon as he can. After a moment, there is no response from inside.
He scrunches his brows and knocks again. When he takes a step closer, he can hear something from the inside. Music. A piano and drums and maybe an organ?
Jason twists the door knob with ease and steps ahead and inside. The apartment is completely and totally empty. The music becomes louder and more clear. It’s a female singer he doesn’t recognize.
Only the bones of the kitchen remain. Counters, cabinets, a sink, and an old fridge. There’s mold in the corner of the space. But in the middle of the floor where the couch and living room used to be is a cluster of things. Things meant for Jason Todd.
The man eyes the pile for a few seconds. Then he sets towards it. The first thing he recognizes is a CD player with the volume turned all the way up. He still doesn’t know the song.
Besides the player is a suit he’s quite familiar with. It’s clunky, but folded as neatly as it can be given that it’s made of metal. On the top is the helmet that gives it away. The Arkham Knight suit. It sits on a dark duffel bag in front of a small white piece of paper with the promise of ink inside. Jason decides to open that first.
You’re coming back… and it’s the end of the world…
Haha! I knew you’d show up!
Jason nearly rolls his eyes at the first sentence.
Thanks for the money. I know it was you. Thanks for the fun night too. Sorry about hitting your balls. They felt really big if that makes you feel better.
It didn’t.
I was thinking of Metropolis, but what do you know, me and the boy toy decided it might be better to hold off on it. I got a bit of dirt on the kid by the way. You’ll find it on the back of this paper. Oh and I hope you like the Mitski soundtrack. I bet Drake’s the kind too. I’m going to keep the Mockingbird suit if you don’t mind. I guess our night of fun kinda reignited an old flame. Don’t even think about coming after me.
Son of a bitch, Jason internally screams.
I have a gift for you though. You get the Arkham Knight. You look good in it. And a little something extra in the bag by the way.
Love, Mockingbird.
I just need a quiet place… where I can scream, how I love you…
Indeed, inside the duffel bag Jason Todd finds some cash and red fabric with an R emblem over the chest. He doesn’t need to pull the rest out to understand what it is. He decides not to question how you got his old Robin suit or when, but lets himself smile a bit, his chest expanding with his breath. It’s a real smile too.
You’ve given Jason everything he needs to go after Tim Drake himself.

I hope I’ve ruined everyone’s day. You think I would let the reader and Jason be happy together? You absolute baffoon. Maybe I’ll make a part three for gits and shiggles though. I’m not sure about this one. Definitely more based around their interactions than the drama unlike the first one. It was fun though. I hit the paragraph limit. I think I did a good job with the chemistry. I do apologize for giving the reader a real set in stone age though. I don’t like to to that because I think it takes away the point of having a ‘reader’. Also if you’re vegetarian please just eat a cheeseburger it’s so good y’all are weird. Oh and fun fact I just got a Red Hood tattoo on Saturday! Look at me go!

Summary: Toriel's old house feels like a mausoleum. She will gladly ignore chisp crumbs and lumpy mattresses for a place that feels more like home.  (Queen Toriel ending fic for Soriel Week 2021.)
Word Count: 5211
XXX
The bedroom was exactly how she left it. Her bed pushed up against the gray wall. A book about snails on the wooden desk. A knit sweater with the embroidered words "Mrs. Mom Lady" in the wardrobe.
Even after all this time, she could barely look at it without her soul splitting in two.
She'd known this wouldn't be easy. She hadn't seen this house in over a century. Still, she wasn't prepared for how Asgore had sealed up her old room like a tomb, a photograph of the day that everything went terribly, horribly wrong.
At least the last child was safe. They should not have had to take a life to save their own, but she doubted Asgore had given them a choice.  Her own soul felt more numb than anything.  To her, Asgore had died a century ago.
What was done, was done. And as usual, she was too late to do anything but sweep up the dust.
She backed through the doorframe, shutting the door with a quiet click. She would have to return eventually, but for now, she yearned for a place with fewer painful memories.
"Hey, Your Majesty." A voice startled her as she attempted to escape the foyer. Luckily it was a voice she would always recognize.
"Hello, old friend." She turned and smiled at the monster leaning against the stair railing.
He was smaller than she expected, with that deep voice. Not that that was a bad thing. As for him being a skeleton, that had been apparent from the abundance of bone puns.
"You know the formality is unnecessary," she told him softly.
"Is it?" He shuffled from foot to slippered foot.
In all her time of joking with him through the door, she had never expected him to be so cute.
"Didn't want to assume, old lady."
He winked, and she felt a weight lift from her chest. At least one monster would still treat her like a person, and not like a mythical figure returned to save them.
"Toriel," she introduced herself for the first time. He had to have heard already, but between rushing to the palace, scattering Asgore's dust, comforting their—her people… she hadn't had time to seek out her friend.
He seemed to feel comfortable walking right into her home, though. Did he ever visit Asgore when he was here? Her friend seemed like the type of monster who went wherever he felt like, and Asgore, for all his flaws, had never turned a monster away from his home.
"Sans." He held out a bony hand. "Sans the skeleton."
"Nice to meet you, Sans," she tested out the name and clasped his hand with her paw.
A loud pthbbbbbt echoed through the empty hall. Her eyes widened.
"Wow, Toriel. That's, uh, some way to make an introduction." He winked.
She squinted down at the inflatable object in his hand, the source of the farting noise. Then she pretended to ignore it.
"It certainly is. I was not aware that skeletons were capable of flatulence."
His eyelights gutted for a moment before he burst out laughing.
"Your jokes are even better in person," he said once he composed himself.
His laugh set her soul fluttering. In all their conversations through the door, he'd never laughed like that. Maybe she should have tried fart jokes sooner.
"I am always happy to tickle your funny bone." She smiled, and his face tinged blue.
"Happy to be tickled. But, uh. I guess that's not all I'm here for?"
Her breath caught in her lungs. Of course he would not visit without a reason.
"I suppose not. Would you like to have a seat?"
"It's nothing that serious," he assured her quickly. "I just thought you'd want an update on the kid."
"You've spoken with them? They are still here?"  She tried to keep the hysteria from her voice.
How could they have taken Asgore’s soul and not returned home?  Had the Barrier proven too powerful?
"No—geez, I'm making this sound worse." He ran a bony palm down his face. "They’re definitely gone.  Papyrus tried to call them nonstop.  Besides that, you know the big stuff. The king's dead."
Her lips drew to a thin line, pulling tight across her fangs.
"I can hardly fault them for that."
"Right." He stuck his hands back in his pockets. "I gotta be honest. The way the kid looked when I last saw them… I don't think they did it."
Her brow furrowed. She was inclined to hope that the child had not chosen violence.  They had been so sweet, so eager to talk and joke with the monsters of the Ruins, so quick to hug her even after she’d fought them.  It was hard to imagine them striking down Asgore.
"But… then what do you think happened?"
Sans shrugged. "Wish I knew. I kept watch best I could, but…"
"I could not expect you to come between them and your king." As much as she wished he could have. She had hardly expected him to agree to watch over the human at all.
“Couldn’t have even if I wanted to.  These bones aren’t as sturdy as they look.  Maybe I shoulda listened to my bro and drank more milk...” He grimaced and glanced away.  “Anyway.  Like I said, I don’t know what happened.  Just.  Be careful, okay?”
“Careful?” She blinked.
“Yeah.  You never know.” His gaze flickered to a potted golden flower on the end table next to the stairs.
“Sans.  If I did not know better, that would sound like a threat.” She crouched down, so she could better meet his eyesockets. “Is there something you are trying to tell me?”
“Man. First I rip one in front of a lady, then I threaten her.  I’m makin’ a great first impression.”  He rocked back and forth on his slippers. “Look. Toriel. I don’t wanna scare you, ‘specially since today must’ve been hard. Real hard.”
His eyelights bored into her irises. She found herself needing to look away.
“It has certainly been… interesting. Moreso than any day since I last saw this place.” She suppressed a shudder.
Change. Her life had been constant for so long.  There would be no more of that, now. Hopefully that would be for the better, but only time would tell.
“Yeah. Being flung away from everything you’re used to… don’t imagine that’s a cakewalk. Don’t want you to worry about freaks hiding in the shadows on top of that.”
Somehow, she felt he made more sense when he was on the other side of a door. Knock-knock jokes had a formula. Just another normalcy she had forfeited, she supposed.
“Please, Sans. If you believe I am in danger, you may say so.”
“Fine. So.” He grinned, and she couldn’t help a snort.
“Alright, I suppose I walked into that one.” She smiled, despite his warning. “Under normal circumstances, I would say I could handle myself. But I must admit you are more updated on the state of the kingdom than I.  Do you have any information that could help?”
“...Not really?” His grin turned sheepish.  “You look like a tough lady. I bet my bones are rattling over nothing.”
“I would still humer-us you.”
He gave her a funny look. “You’re actually taking me seriously?”
“Why would I not? You are my friend.  Perhaps… my only friend, at this point,” she admitted.  It would be foolish to ignore a warning, even if it was based on gut feeling. Or, whatever skeletons had in place of a gut.
“Well.  Uh.  If someone, something, was behind the king’s… yeah. If it wasn’t the kid, whoever else it was might still be around. So.” He coughed. “Sounds stupid when I say it like that, huh.”
“It does not.  I think it is sweet that you are worried.” He wouldn’t be able to see her blush, thankfully. It had been a long time since anyone had looked out for her.
“Geez, Toriel.” He rubbed the back of his skull. “You’re gonna ruin my reputation.”
“What reputation? Are you typically a monster with a heart of bone?” she teased.
“Nah. I just don’t worry. Too much work.”  It was difficult to tell if he was joking.  “Guess I can make an exception this once, though.”
“Why, thank you, my friend.”  She had the sudden urge to reach out and squeeze his hand.  It would be more for her own comfort than his, so she did not act on it. “To be honest, your words are a relief. I do not mind the excuse to avoid this place.”
“Oh.” He sounded surprised. “You got somewhere else you’d rather be?”
She both did, and did not. How could she explain without sounding like a clinging child?
...Perhaps that was the wrong metaphor. She would have preferred her children to be a little clingier.
“‘Cause, uh, if you don’t mind a bit of mess… my door’s always open.”
She blinked at the offer. Had he felt the thoughts stirring in her soul?
She didn’t want to be alone. Not again. And she had told him the truth: there were unlikely to be any other monsters she knew still around. Perhaps Gerson; she and Asgore had always joked that he would outlive them.
That joke seemed awfully morbid now.
“Sorry. Was that too forward? Our friendship’s built off closed doors; guess we should just take 'em one at a—"
"No," she interjected too forcefully. “No. I would love to visit your home.”
Though she had never set foot there, she already suspected it would feel more like a home than this place.
“You really—? Great.” His skull tinged the faintest blue. “Just, uh, know that it’s nothing fancy.”
Toriel smiled. “‘Nothing fancy’ sounds wonderful at the moment.”
Perhaps wherever he lived would be out of the way enough that news of her return would be delayed. If she could be lucky enough to pass for an ordinary monster… well, that was likely too much to wish for. It certainly wasn’t becoming of a queen to hide from her subjects.
Stars, there was so much to get used to. So many formalities to reacquaint herself with.  She hoped such things would wait until tomorrow.
Sans returned her smile.
“In that case, I know a shortcut.”
XXX
She handled the shortcut well for a first-timer. No stumbling on the other end, no complaints of nausea or dizziness. Of course, she was a Queen. A Boss Monster. Why would a magic trick ruin her composure?
Sans wanted to laugh. All this time, he'd been joking with the Queen. She didn't seem to mind, but she could just be “humerus”ing him.
...Nah. She had every excuse to ignore him if she really wanted to. Instead she'd actually taken him up on his offer.
He almost forgot to drop her hand once their feet landed in the soft snow. Heh. Who was he kidding? It was just nice to feel her fur under his fingers. To touch her, and know that she was real.
"Oh!" Her eyes lit up, reflecting the gyftmas lights strung haphazardly around the house's columns. "I remember this place!"
"You do?" Sans's browbone furrowed.
"I saw it while travelling from the Ruins to…" she trailed off.  To stop the kid from fighting Asgore.
Sans felt stupid for not trying to stop them himself.  Not that a kid that determined would’ve listened, anyway.  Still… he’d believed in them.  Hoped that by some miracle, they’d get ‘em out of this mess.
Heh. That was too much pressure to put on a kid, even a determined one.
"Yeah." He coughed quietly. "Guess we're hard to miss. Papyrus did something to the Gyftmas lights—even when the CORE lights go out for the night, ours stay on. Never figured out how he pulled that off."
Toriel laughed before seeming to realize something.
"I will get to meet your brother!" She clasped her hands together. "I wish it had not come about for such an unhappy reason, but I am excited nonetheless."
He chuckled. Her excitement was contagious. That was something she and Papyrus had in common already.
He pushed the door open, called out for his brother—and noticed the monster sprawled out on his couch.
"Oh." Sans blinked at Undyne, who was snoring so loudly, he should've heard it from outside. Guess he'd been a little distracted. "Uh. This is awkward."
"What is it?" Toriel hung back, her head ducking through the doorframe. "Is your brother sleeping? I would not wish to wake him. You said he rarely sleeps, did you not?"
"Nah, it's not him. Forgot his pal's house burned down. Actually, I'm sure you met her. Undyne? Captain of the Royal Guard?"
"I… yes, we met." Toriel edged inside, closing the door behind her with a soft click. "She looks far more peaceful now than she did this morning. From what I understand, my ex-husband was something of a father to her."
"Something like that." Sans nodded in agreement. There hadn't even been a Royal Guard until Asgore created the position for her. Sans wondered if Toriel would keep it around now that Asgore was gone.
Welp. It wouldn't hurt, what with his suspicions about Papyrus's friend "Flowery."
(Maybe Sans should let Toriel sleep on the top floor rather than the couch anyway. No dirt for stray flowers to get into up there.)
"Should we be staring?" Toriel said with a soft chuckle.
Sans shook his thoughts away. "Sorry. Just thinking. I, uh…"
There wasn't room on the top floor. Sans's lumpy, crumb-dusted mattress was out of the question. That left only Papyrus's bed, which while rarely in use, had too much sentimental value to give to Toriel without asking. Where was Papyrus, anyway?
"Undyne!" His brother practically kicked in the door. "I have returned with nutritious—oh!"
Papyrus's sockets blinked at Toriel. Then at Sans. Then at Toriel again.
(Undyne let out another loud snore.)
"Sans?”  Papyrus dropped his groceries on the table next to the pet rock. “Why didn't you tell me we had another guest??"
Because he was an idiot who hadn't planned past one impulsive offer. His face went a little blue.
"I guest you would figure it out," he managed to joke.
Toriel let out a bleating laugh at that. The suddenness of it was enough to jolt Undyne awake.
"NGAHH!!" She tried to leap off the couch, but ended up rolling onto the floor. "I'm here, Asgore! I won't—oh."
Her single eye blinked up at Toriel.
"Papyrus?" Undyne hissed through her teeth. "Why didn't you tell me the Queen was coming??"
"Because I didn't know!" Papyrus replied brightly.
"I, uh, promise I'm usually more professional than this." Undyne summoned an energy spear and used it to push herself to her feet. The attack left a small char mark on the carpet. "I am at your service, Your Majesty."
Sans thought she looked real professional in a pair of Papyrus's MTT-brand crop top pajamas. Toriel didn't comment on that though, instead opting for a matronly smile.
"There is no need for that, Captain. I am not here on business, but as a friend."
That smile turned towards Sans, and he fought back a blush.
"Yeah. I was just gonna, uh, make some dinner. Y'know, welcome our queen back with some Snowdin hospitality."
"Dinner?" Papyrus squinted suspiciously. "You don't cook dinner. I cook dinner."
"First time for everything, right?" Sans winked to hide his embarrassment.
Of course Papyrus wouldn't buy his excuse. But he really didn't want his brother and Undyne worrying on top of Toriel. Granted, it was Undyne's job to worry about security threats… but she'd tear up the house's foundation if she thought an enemy might be hiding anywhere in a five-mile radius.
"Sans," Toriel chided him. "You do not owe me that."
"Wowie! You must be a great influence on him, Bald Asgore!"
Toriel blinked before bursting out laughing. Sans's grin widened.
"Her name is Toriel, bro."
"Of course!! Where are my manners?" Papyrus bustled past him to shake Toriel's paws. "I am the Great Papyrus! It's an honor to meet you, Queen Toriel!"
"The honor is mine. Sans has told me so much about you," she said, and Papyrus blushed pink.
"You? Know the new queen?" Undyne whispered to Sans while Papyrus and Toriel got acquainted.
"You know me. I know everyone." He winked.
"She came out of nowhere."
"Yeah. My bro and I know what that's like."
Undyne huffed, but Sans didn't offer a more thorough explanation.
Papyrus's affronted shout signalled that Toriel had dropped her first pun.
"I take it back! This is the worst day of my life!!"
Sans met Toriel's eyes, and they both laughed.
"I suppose I will have to help Sans in the kitchen as my pun-ishment," she said with a coy wink.
"Normally I would object to a guest cooking, but in this case I will make an exception!" Papyrus turned on his heel and grabbed Undyne's arm. "We will clean up the living room in the meantime! Try not to corrupt the queen any further, Sans!!"
"Wouldn't dream of it, bro."
He gave a quick wink to Toriel behind Papyrus's back, and they moved to the kitchen.
"Did I actually upset him…?" She asked once they were out of earshot.
"Nah. He's just dramatic like that. He'll drop three puns per sentence when he thinks I'm not listening."
He turned away, rummaging through the fridge for something edible they could cook.  Discreetly, he tucked his empty chisp bag behind Papyrus’s spaghetti-filled tupperware.
“Oh, good.  I would not want to make a bad first impression.”
“Pfft. You’d have to try real hard to do that, Tori.  My bro sees the best in everyone.”  He smiled and pulled a “pupperoni” pizza out of the freezer.  It wasn’t anything fancy, but at least it would be edible.
He turned around, pizza in hand, and found Toriel staring at him oddly.
“What?”  His sockets widened.  “Uh, you’re not vegetarian, are you?”
She shook her head quickly, her gaze skimming off of his like oil from water.
“Pizza sounds lovely.  It has been quite some time since I had one.”
Sans didn’t pry, but he couldn’t help wondering what her expression had meant.  Had he said something weird?
...Oh.  He’d called her Tori, hadn’t he?  He should know better than to use nicknames without asking.  Papyrus hated them.
“Please, allow me.”  She held out her paws, so she couldn’t be too upset.
He handed over the pizza, and he jumped when fire flared to life in her palms.  For a moment he thought the fire would scorch the pizza beyond recognition, but the flames were just pleasantly warm.  He’d never known a monster other than Grillby to have such careful control of fire magic.
“Heh.  I didn’t know you were so hot, Toriel.”
As soon as he said it, he clamped his jaw shut.  Geez, how stupid could he be?  Making bad jokes was one thing, but flirting with bad jokes?
The fire went out.  She looked up abruptly—er, looked away from the pizza.  He was still a good two feet shorter than her.
“Tori was fine,” she said, her voice soft.
“Uh,” he replied intelligently.
She suppressed a giggle, and he was pretty sure his face burned hotter than her fire had.  He could stand to take notes from Alphys and throw himself in the trash.
“Or not.  Whatever is comfortable for you,” she reassured him.  “Now, should we eat dinner before it gets cold?”
Eating was hardly something he could screw up at.
“Sure,” then after a pause, he tested, “Tori.”
Forget her fire magic.  Her smile could’ve heated the pizza all on its own.
XXX
For once in a hundred years, dinner was a warm and energetic affair.  In addition to the pizza, Papyrus had tossed together a salad from his fresh groceries, and Sans had briefly stepped out to grab a few orders of wings and fries.  In the end there was plenty of food for four hungry monsters.
Papyrus apologized for the lack of seating, but Toriel didn’t mind sitting on the couch squeezed between Sans and Undyne, eating off of paper plates.  She couldn’t imagine anywhere she would have felt more comfortable.
Before long, though, the day’s fatigue caught up with her.  She supposed it was to be expected—she wouldn’t regain her social stamina all at once.
Sans caught her eye, and he nodded towards the stairs as Undyne and Papyrus “owned” each other in an MTT-Brand fighting game.
“Sorry.  I know they can be a bit much.” Sans rubbed the back of his skull.
“They’re lovely.  I wish I had the energy to keep up with them.”  She smiled.
He leaned against the banister, smiling down at them.  Papyrus had gotten the upper hand this time, and was punching the air with joy.
“Me too,” Sans said, still looking away.  “I was thinking.  If you want a place to rest for the night, my bed’s open.”
She blinked.  Her face seemed to catch fire.  That was rather more… forward than she was expecting.  Sure, she had enjoyed his lighthearted flirting, and much as she tried to deny it, feelings had been growing in her for a long time.  But to have him return those feelings? And so boldly? It was as unfathomable as it was unlikely.
“I can get ya some fresh sheets, and I’ll crash in the shed.  My bro set up an, uh, guest room there when the human was in town.”
Oh.  She rubbed the heat from her face while he wasn’t looking.  How foolish could she be, to think he would be implying…? Well.
“I would not force you out of your room,” she said.  “If your brother prepared a guest room, I am sure that would be adequate.”
He let out a quick laugh.  “Uh, you’re not used to my brother’s… decorating.  Seriously, I don’t mind.”
She sighed.  If he insisted, she supposed it would be rude to deny his hospitality.
“Alright.  Thank you very much, Sans.”
“Great.”  He smiled back at her, then went into his brother’s room.  She waited patiently, and only jumped a little when he suddenly reappeared from the right hand door.  Perhaps the two rooms were connected in the back by a bathroom.
“Hotel Sans, one vacancy.”  He winked while holding the door open.
She chuckled behind her hand.  “You really did not have to resort to this.”
“Heh, I wouldn’t call it much of a resort.  The bed’s not even queen sized.”  He rubbed the back of his skull.
The bed was smaller than she was used to, but it did have fresh sheets.  That was the only fresh thing about the room.  Chisp crumbs had been brushed under the dresser, and… that was a tornado.  A self-sustaining trash tornado.  Though at least there was a pine-scented air freshener suspended in it.
“Sorry, it’s… really not much.  Uh.  Probably kinda insulting, expecting the Queen to sleep—”
“It’s perfect.”
He blinked.  “Huh?”
“I am no stranger to a few crumbs, Sans.”
She remembered days that bled into weeks that bled into months.  Months where she couldn’t bring herself to clean, could hardly bring herself to care at all.  Months that had grown fewer and farther between since she’d met a friendly voice behind a door.
“I would’ve vacuumed,” he said sheepishly, “but I suck at it.”
More embarrassingly loud laughter burst from her.  In front of Sans, though, she didn’t feel the need to curtail her joy.
“Thank you.” She poured as much sincerity as she could into her voice.
“‘S no problem, Tori.”  A light blue tinge warmed his cheekbones.  How could he possibly look so adorable? “Bathroom’s down the hall if you wanna wash up or anything.  And Undyne’ll be on the couch, so this is probably the safest place in the Underground right now.”
Her brow furrowed.  Sure enough, there was no bathroom door inside the room—he must have used one of his “shortcuts” to move from his brother’s room to here.
“So, uh.  I’ll be in the shed—uh, guest room if you need me.”  He flashed one more tense grin before turning to leave.
“Wait.” She stepped towards him without thinking.
He looked up, one brow ridge raised.  She found herself biting her lip, wondering if she dared ask what her soul wanted.  It was silly, really.  She’d been on her own for years, decades.
Maybe that was why she was so hesitant to lose this one taste of companionship.
“I would feel… safer, if you would stay too.”  Her face burned beneath her fur, but she projected her usual composure.
“...Welp. Can’t say no to that, huh?”
She was about to reassure him that he could say no—that she was asking as his friend, not as his queen—but the soft smile on his face told her he already knew.
He briefly left to grab a few things, then returned with a few pillows and, for some reason, a dog bed.
“You are not going to sleep on that,” she said in disbelief.
He flopped the dog bed in the middle of the floor and started fluffing it.  “Why not?  Gotta throw a dog bed a bone, right?”
“Sans.”
The outdoor lights dimmed, as if at her command.  Only the colored Gyftmas lights outside and one dim indoor bulb lit the room.
Her confidence waned with the light.  What had she expected him to do?  She’d asked him to stay.  Unless she wanted to…
Oh, to hell with it.  She was too old to be so shy about these things.
“If you are not opposed,” she swallowed, “we could… share this mattress.”
When he looked up, she couldn’t make out his eyelights at all.  Their glow returned slowly, like the rising of the sun from her memories.
“Heh… you sure?  You don’t even know if I snore.”
She laughed and sat on the bed, patting the space beside her.  “You do not know if I snore, either.”
“Fair enough, Tori.”
They took turns cleaning up in the bathroom—she was imposing on Sans enough without adding the smell of dirty fur to his bed.  Then she did her best to ignore the flutterings in her soul as he slipped off his hoodie and climbed up onto the mattress.  She insisted he stay under the sheets; her fur would keep her warm enough with just the light blanket on top.
The sheets were a barrier in name only.  There was only so much space on the mattress, so no matter how he adjusted and apologized, she could still feel the curve of his spine against hers.
It felt amazing.  It felt terrifying.  It felt like a mistake.  It felt like the only thing she’d ever done right.
The one saving grace of the whole situation was that it didn’t stir memories of Asgore.  Her royal beds had been triple the size of Sans’s lumpy mattress. She and her ex-husband had rarely slept back to back, and if they had, the feeling would have much different.
“...Tori?” Sans’s voice was just above a whisper.  “You, uh, still awake?”
As if she could sleep while enduring the wonderful agony of friendly touch for the first time in a century.
“Yes,” she replied softly.  “Am I taking up too much space?”
“No, ‘course not. I was just, uh… geez.” He sounded embarrassed.
Risking their precarious balance, she rolled over to face him.  Or to face the back of his skull, at least.
“Are you alright?” she asked.
“Doin’ sans-sational.” He chuckled to himself.  “Sorry.  Never got to use that one with you before.”
She would have laughed, had she not worried about shaking the whole mattress.
“It was sans-tastic,” she joked back, and he laughed again.
Then abruptly, his laughter cut off.
“Thanks, Tori,” he said in a quiet but firm voice.
“What for?” She wished she could take his hand, see his face, learn what thoughts were passing through his skull.  Instead she gave him as much space as physically possible… which still was not much.
A long, silent moment passed.  Had he fallen asleep?
“I know it’s not how you wanted,” he finally said, “but I’m glad I got to meet you.  So.  Thanks.”
Warmth spread outward from her soul to fill her whole body.  Sans could probably feel it radiating from her.
“Thank you, Sans.  If I had to return, knowing no one…”
He rolled to face her.  His eyelights were mere inches from her pupils.
“You would’ve been fine.  All you had to do was tell a few of your amazing jokes, and the whole Underground would’ve been linin’ up to be your pals.”
She suppressed a laugh.  “I hardly think that would be appropriate, under the circumstances.”
“Eh.”  He shrugged.  “Plenty of monsters in town cope with jokes.  You’d just be relating to the common folk.”
She stared into his sockets a little too intently.  At this distance, it easily made her dizzy.
“Would you be included in that demographic?” she couldn’t help asking.
“When I first met you?  For sure.” His gaze darted away.  “But it’s crazy.  Between you and the kid… I’m startin’ to think there’s more to life than good food and bad laughs.”
“Really?”  She and the child had made such an impact on him?
“I know.  Don’t tell Papyrus.  He wouldn’t believe you, anyway.” He winked.
“My lips are sealed.” She smiled.
Silence hung between them.  It should have felt awkward, but she couldn’t bring herself to turn away.  In the end it was Sans who yawned in her face and then hurriedly flipped back onto his other side.
She laughed, and clearly she was exhausted too, because she pressed a kiss to the back of his skull without thinking.
He froze.  She froze.  There was no way to play that off gracefully.  And there was no way she could fall asleep and pretend that it had not happened.
“Heh… those didn’t feel very sealed to me,” he finally rasped out.
It took her a moment to process what he meant.  Meanwhile her embarrassment only burned hotter.
“I am so sorry—”
“I’m not.” When he rolled back to face her, his face was bright blue.  “You’ll still be here when I wake up, right?”
His question was tinged with desperation.
“Of course,” she answered automatically, despite the many responsibilities that she would have to attend to in the morning.  She was the Queen once more.  If she had to, she could adjust the schedule of meetings and speeches to accommodate… this.
Whatever this was to be.
“Remind me in the morning,” he squeezed her hand, “that this is real.”
His hand quickly went limp.  She was worried for a moment, before she heard the faint snore escape his nasal cavity.
She gave him a fond smile, and allowed her own eyes to close.  She did not know if sleep would come or not.  She did not know what challenges the new day would bring, or what old challenges would continue to rear their heads.
But she did know that she was not alone.  For tonight, that was enough.

An// I know this is late but I'm having major writers block lol ✌🏾😛 I hope you like it love!
The night was cold as he sat on a hill away from the kingdom Dream had made himself. The tall grass flowed around him like a blanket on his bed he wish he could be in right now, but he chose this, he chose to be here. His blonde hair whipped around his face harshly, but he didnt bother move it out of his eyes he could still see the destination ahead of him.
The kingdom looking like a bright star the fell to the ground. He used to love sitting and watching the lights of the kingdom at night flicker like a fallen star that still had its glow. The small smile he had on his face fell when his mind reminded him of the tragedy a month ago.
The night was cold and dark and that couldn't resemble how he was feeling right now. Anger, resentment, betrayed flowed through his heart. He wanted revenge.
The swords were already shined and ready for blood, arrows sharpened to the point, and potions made to kill the second it envelopes you. Months of preparation was right there next to him, ready to be finally used.
He wanted revenge for his best friend.
He left the kingdom for an hour grabbing every weapon he had before finding a place he used to go with his best friend.
----------------
"The kingdom looks beautiful!" You said while standing up in the tall grass.
Purpled had taken you to a far away spot out of the dsmp kingdom just for fun.
"I know, I come here often when I want to clear my head." Purpled said while sitting down in the hill letting the grass tickle his skin.
It was the middle of the say and almost sun down. You two had hiked up away from the kingdom and up a semi huge hill that gave a great view of the lights.
"How did you find this place?" You smiled to the boy sitting down to the side of you.
"Just was hiking I guess!" He laughed. "Well I was looking for more caves outside of the kingdom and stood on this hill, and looked back and saw the beautiful view."
"Now this is your spot now?" You smiled and nodded.
"I mean it's our spot now. You're the only other person who knows about it." Purpled motioned for his friend to sit down and you did.
"Great." You smiled at him and he shared that smile.
"Great."
------------------
He finally stood up from his spot on the hill and made his way back to the kingdom, weapons at his mercy and ready to be used.
The walk back to the kingdom was long, but he wasnt in a rush. He just wanted to keep his mind calm before he finally faced the man who he wanted to kill. The man whos blood should be on his arrows and swords he just sharpened for this occasion.
He walks with purpose and in stride. He always does, he was always busy around the kingdom. Making something new or not even saying what he was doing, no one would want to cross his path because no one would want to know what trouble he was gettng himself into. But they always knew he would come put alive in the end.
He walked along the prime path keeping his gaze forward. He sped up his walk trying to get to the place he needs to go faster to get this feeling out of his body. Sadly him staring straight ahead made him bump shoulders with someone passing by. He didn't have the time to look back and stop, but a familiar voice made him stop.
"Hey! Watch where the fuck you are going!"
Damn it.
He tried to walk away, but he heard the footsteps get closer and the protests get louder.
"Hey asshole! You know Im talking to you Purpled?! Stop!"
"What do you want Quackity?!"
"Damn it took that long for you to turn around?!" The scarred man laughed as the blonde started at him blankly.
Quackity had a small smirk on his face before he looked around to make sure no one else is spying on them. Quackity chuckled while crossing his arms looking at the impatient blonde infront of him.
"What. Do. You. Want. Shouldn't you be in Las Nevadas?" He scoffed.
"I should! I should. But I heard about your little predicament." Quackity still had that taunting smile on his face.
"I wouldn't call it a predicament I would call it a missi-"
"A mission. Yeah I know, that's what you call every thing now-a-days." Quackity shook his head in disbelief. "Even when your best friend dies..Its a damn misson."
Purpled stayed quiet and let the older man talk. He didn't need to hear this, but at least this will hunor him before his miss- plans.
"Its a shame! It really is. But you know what Purpled?" Quackity's voice got quieter.
"If this is about Las Nevadas, you should leave. I have more pressing matters to attend to."
"I bet you do." Quackity looked away from the blonde. "Its a shame that you dont even know where Dream is to kill him."
--------------
"Y/N! Get out of my way!"
"I will not let you hurt him!"
"Get out of his way!"
Purpled was injured, pretty badly at that. He was clutching his side in pain where a arrow had struck him. His face had long cuts across it, and so did his body. The only way you could see the cuts along his body is because the cuts Dream had made tore through his clothes.
Purpled looked like he couldn't stand back up. You didn't want to know why they were fighting so brutally, you only showed up when Dream stood above Purpled about to take the final blow, sword clutched tightly in-between his hands.
The only thing you saw was that and you ran in the middle of the two blocking Dream from doing anymore damage to Purpled. Now the two men are yelling at you to get out of Dream's way.
"You're really stubborn aren't you?" Dream dropped his sword to his side, but still kept that tight grip on the handle.
"For my friends, yeah I am." You said with your head held high looking at the masked man.
"Y/N." Purpled groaned behind you. "Go, please."
You turned your whole body around to face him. He couldn't get up, still kneeling on the ground he tried to move and stand to his full height. It was impossible for him to do so. You saw a keep gash where his knee is. Dream must've stabbed his knee, through his knee.
"You stay down! I can handle this!"
"Where is your armor?! Huh?! Where is all your gear?! You're vulnerable!"
"You are too!"
"As much as this pains me to see the two bestest friends fight, Move." Dream said sternly while placing a rough hand on your shoulder.
"Dream get your hand off of them!" Purpled yelled.
"At this point you cannot tell me what to do." Dream chuckled. "This state that you're in! Its pathetic!"
Purpled hung his head low while Dream kept on running his mouth.
"Y/N! Do you even want to know why we're even fighting?! Its all his-"
"I dont want to know. Frankly I dont care just stop hurting him." Your words came out calmer than you wanted because you really were vulnerable at this point.
"I haven't even finished the job, my misson." Dream scoffed.
"If you wanto to finish "your mission" go through me first." You said while finding Purpled's sword on the ground next to him and gripping it tightly just like Dream.
"Y/N stop this!"
"Fine then."
Dream had grabbed your shoulder again so hard it could leave a bruise and brought your shoulders forward. You didn't have any time to react and the next thing you saw when you looked down was his sword going through your stomach. It hurt to breathe, and you felt yourself coughing up blood onto the grass beneath you. He had finally let go of your shoulder and you fell to your side letting your body go numb.
"NO DREAM!" Purpled tried to reach you, but ended up getting kicked down by Dream.
"Im done with you now. Its no point. I thought killing you would be better, but watching you suffer after your best friend gets killed is good enough for me."
"My mission is done, and they were right. You are vulnerable."
-------------
"Where is he then?" He asked trying not to sound rushed.
"You would like to know huh? Well Let me tell you about this thing I have first. I mean if you want to know where Dream is for your little mission" Quackity proposed and he stayed quiet waiting for the older man's response.
"I have this book, it was given to me by an old ally of mine. It has all of the lives of everyone in it. The whole book is filled with names and if they are dead or not-"
"Where are you going with this?" He interrupted.
"Im saying that not everyone knows of Y/N's death. Its not any big headlines. So I read this book often and I so happened to see their name and underneath it, it said they were dead."
"And?"
"I have a proposal-"
"No." He started to walk away leaving Quackity to stand and yell at the younger one.
"Oh come on! Dont you want your friend back?!" Quackity yelled as the other walked away briskly.
"Fine! You'll owe me!"
----------
It was over. He ended up back on the same hill again, but this time it was pitch black and the only light available was the light in the stars and the light from the kingdom. He could hear faint noises of mobs in the distance, but they didn't dare come near him.
His eyes started to water and his vision began to get blurry. He didn't kill Dream, he couldn't. That's not what you would've wanted.
Dream was right all along. He was vulnerable, he was always vulnerable.
He closed his eyes letting tears drop onto his cheeks. He was upset that he couldn't fulfill his mission, the one thing he knew he could do for the one he misses the most in life. He failed. And now Dream is sitting somewhere, he didn't even take Quackity's proposal. He didn't even know what Dream was to kil him.
Still, even if he wasnt discouraged, he would've still tried to hunt Dream down. He didn't care if it took him months to a year, he didn't care if it killed him. One day.
He looked out to the kingdom once more with eyes full of tears. The kingdom now looking like a ball of light and not as detailed.
"Purpled?"
He sighed brushing the call off, he was hearing things.
"Hey, Purpled."
He shook his head with his hands cupping his face. He was convincing himself that his head was playing tricks on him because there is no one that could be out here at this time.
"I thought I would get a warmer welcome than this."
He felt the grass moving beside him and he quickly turned his head to his right where he saw the person he wanted to the most. You.
It was you, but you had a white streak in your hair, your stomach still had a bigger scar still on it. It was you, it was finally you. He hesitated before reaching out to hug you, there was some tall grass in between you two but it didn't matter, he had you back. You had to feel tears fall on your back because he was crying, he tried to keep his sobs quiet but they slipped out.
"Are you okay?" He asked while sniffing.
"Im alive now. Thats progress." You responded hesitantly before continuing. "I wanted to stay dead. I mean it had to be my time right? I was in hell and I don't know why. Why was I there?!"
You started sobbing on his shirt as well and you took a big breath before starting to talk again.
"And then I just showed up not that far from here. It was horrible, like an out of body experience. I dont know who brought me back either! But now I found you here and Im okay enough." You smiled with tiredness in your eyes as you pulled away from the long hug.
"I tried to kill Dream." He confessed.
"Because of me?"
He hummed in agreement "I couldn't, thats not what you would've wanted."
"Why would you know what I wanted?" You asked the blonde. "I was dead for a month."
"You wanted me to kill him?" He asked with a bit of excitement in his voice.
"Consider this a new mission." You smiled while standing up and him following suit.
"My mission." He whispered while looking at the ground. "It'll take a while, but we'll get him. I promise."
You two locked pinkie fingers together to seal the promise. A promise that would be sealed to the end of time. No matter how long or who dies, he never fails a mission.
"Oh! Also, I have a note for you." You handed him a small torn note that you found lying next to you when you reappeared.
--------------
Dear Purpled,
You're welcome. They're here now.
Remember that favor I never got to ask you?
I suppose you should listen to me now.

hey lil bro, after you humiliated me in front of my friends i started working out even harder, and i’m back to take what’s mine. bet you can’t in anymore, can you?
Now see, big bro, if you're gonna bet on fights, you should really do your research on the fighter. I mean that's just basic common sense right? Let me walk you through my last three fights:
Tumblr media
These two tradies thought they'd pick on the new kid. "Only messing" they said. Well now they know messing. Front-kicked the skinny one into the tree, so at least he got to break his fall. Went harder on the older guy since he oughta know better. Suplexed him over the side. He might be dead. Really not sure, I didn't hang around.
Tumblr media
Now this motherfucker put up a fight. Did you know Mom had this piece on the side? Caught him sneaking out of her bedroom one night while Dad was away. Not that I care, Mom deserves to be happy, but he called me that word I can't stand. You know the one, bro. Loser. You used to call me that. But see, now, I never lose. I make sure of it. He took me down and beat my face bloody, but all it did was make me angry. I flipped him over, got on top and pounded his face into fucking hamburger. Mom pulled me off him and took him to the hospital, but trust me, his "pretty boy" days are over.
Tumblr media
That leaves the Marine. The fucking Marine. I mean I admit I doubted myself when this fucker took me on. A lotta training, fit as shit, strong too. But see what's the main thing they get drilled into 'em in the service? Hierarchy. All you really gotta do is show 'em who's in charge. He was licking his own blood off my fucking boots by the end.
So that's the background, big bro. I'd say the odds are pretty long. So I guess you have to ask yourself: Do you feel lucky? Huh? Do ya? Punk?

Previous Part || Shut In Masterlist
You had only heard of the warehouse before, never actually seen it.
Its reputation preceded it. It was only mentioned in passing as a place for the worst of the worst.
It was murky and smelled like rust, concrete and rotting corpses. You had no doubt a few of them would be littering the place. A few tube lights shone over you graciously like a spotlight, barely illuminating the area.
The room you were in was utterly silent. The only exception were noises outside the door; loud shouts and clanging of metal. You assumed it to be people in the other rooms. Your assessment on how tight the ropes were coiled around you earned a few grunts and odd squeaks, but nothing major.
You were bound to a chair, of course, with knots you had used before on others. It felt like a convoluted form of irony. It was firmly nailed to the ground to prevent you from using it against captors. You were gagged; pretty well, by the look of it.
A noise from beside you threw you off track. A quick look to your left and you found Sam in a similar predicament. He shook his head slightly, implying that it was useless to find an opening. At least he was alive and breathing.
“Are you done?” A voice came from behind you, echoing within the four walls. “I really want to get going and you’re taking too long.”
You knew who it was. It was impossible for you to mistake it at this point.
“Don’t mind the noise outside. We’re just torturing a bunch of people to death.”
You roll your eyes out of sheer instinct. The footsteps slowly moved towards the front of the room, heavy and deliberate. The expensive material of his suit shone under the light as he edged in front of you. Only he’d wear Armani to a murder.
The dramatic fuck clearly rehearsed it.
“Hey Buttercup,” Ransone smiled, distinctly proud of himself. Your bite on the bundle of cloth haphazardly shoved in your mouth tightened. “Been waitin’ on you for a while now. Wilson’s no good company.”
You sneak a glance at Sam’s side profile and he looks relatively untouched. There were a few cuts on his face that you could make out under the harsh light but that was it.
“You can’t get out of those, if you're wondering.” He gestured to your current set up. “I told you, Sam. I save my warehouse for special guests. All your fun tools are gone. Took ‘em when you were brought in.”
As your eyes adjusted to the lighting, you faintly make out the presence of two men in the corners of the room, stiff as cardboard. His security.
“Oh! Except this.” He brandished the paper airplane you had brought with you in the utility belt. He’d use anything to potentially get a rise out of you.
“Gettin’ sentimental now, are we?” He tested the tip of the plane with his finger.
You prayed he wouldn’t destroy it. It had more value than he was willing to bet on.
“You must be asking yourselves why you ended up here,” Ransone mused, looking at the plane from all angles. “No need to worry, I’ll tell you.”
You didn't expect anything less from him. Everything about this felt cinematic; the inconvenient lighting, the men standing in the corner. This man oozed drama over efficiency.
“When I was just starting out, people warned me. Told me I wasn’t going to get anywhere, that we’d always stay in the same position because that’s how it’s been for all these years.” He tested the plane, holding onto the body sturdily.
“There were too many big names already. We were one of them, of course. My father did a good job of giving us a solid foundation.” He pulled his wrist back like he was going to launch it, only to never actually do it. He carried it through the air, simulating its flight pattern.
“You remember my father, don’t you? The guy who cut off someone’s finger because they didn’t finish the job.” Ransone really only had one story to tell about his father and he worked it to death. Other than a few handful of times, his father never bothered about his presence much from what you heard. He favoured the ones who were brutal and Ransone- well, he was a glorified theatre kid.
“Of course you do. He was an incredible man.” He laughed crisply. “But he had no real ambition. No drive. I told him we could have been at the top, the ones parents warn their kids about. He didn’t listen to me. He never really paid attention.”
His tone got wistful in the end, eyes distant like he was living the scene out in his head.
“So obviously when he died, I had the chance to really make a difference. Really set us apart. Ten Rings and Hydra had their own niche; they had some ties with the military and the government and whatnot. Crazy motherfuckers, all of them.” He shook his dead in distaste. “But Serpentine- that was closer to home. Same market as us.”
You wondered how long he would take to get to the point. The only distraction you had were the noises that continued outside. An odd gunshot here and there really pulled your attention away from the story.
“Serpentine with their stupid code names. They really thought they were all that.” He sounded embarrassingly like a bitchy teenager. “Who do they think they were fooling with the Norse Gods thing, huh? Naming your leader Odin, his wife Frigga.”
“I fucking hated them,” he spat, face twisting into anger. “Told them to watch out, that I’d end their legacy. They laughed in my face.”
He spun around, a wicked gleam in his eyes as he pointed to Sam, “That’s where you come in.”
Sam looked thoroughly irritated with the show that was going on in front of him. If he wasn’t gagged you had no doubt he’d have a few comments to pass. Ones that would get the both of you killed.
“I told you to kill their leader. One job. You fucked that up.” Sam recalling the story of his first mission flashed in your memory. “Let that old nutjob into your head and allowed him to escape. We didn’t know where he was for years.”
“I let it go because I thought Serpentine was done for. Radio silence after Odin disappeared. And they were, until a few years ago when I get news that they have a new leader. Odin’s son, the new heir.” He waved around his hands, mocking the last part of his sentence. “Word on the street was that he wanted to kill whoever murdered his mother in front of his eyes.”
“I thought that was hilarious. You know why?” He laughed humourlessly. “Because that was you. You were the one who killed his mother. You remember that? Your big mission?”
“You killed my mom,” he jeered, unmoving.
“I’m sorry. I had to.” Your voice was quiet. Your hand clutched at the hood of the car to keep your balance. “But I don’t want to hurt you. Go.”
“He wasn’t supposed to be there. No one had even heard of him. His brother’s too soft to take on anything like this. He’s some farmer in England now. But he was supposed to be Odin’s only son. Yet somehow, the only person who could have known this other son existed and actually seen him… was you.”
“Turns out he’s like you. A secret adoption. No record of him anywhere.” You didn’t blink, not once taking your eyes off him in case he decided to go wild. “He should have died that day. You were supposed to kill them.”
Only Ransone would justify killing a kid because it fit his agenda. It wasn’t like he hadn’t done it before, and though he tried very hard to shove his ideology onto you, you never complied.
“Goes by Loki now, another stupid codename. Trained by his father who this idiot let go of.” He gestured to Sam callously, “and mad about the murder of his mother that you committed. Serpentine came back pretty quickly after he took control.”
A particularly loud sound of metal slamming would have made you jump had you not been tied down. Ransone swung around in anger, loudly cursing at them for ruining his train of thought. He muttered some more curses under his breath before plastering a fake smile on his face and continuing.
“I’ll admit, he’s a sneaky one. But they grew faster than any other cartel. They somehow knew all our connections, all our targets, our key players. It wasn’t possible,” he shook his head low as he paced up and down slowly. You knew where this was headed. “Unless we had someone giving them information from the inside.”
He stops to look at you.
“I would have forgiven you, Y/N, I really would. You know how I am about second chances.” He looked at you, eyebrows upturned with regretful eyes. “But then you had to go and spy on me for two years.”
You could see Sam turn to you from the corner of your eye, assessing your reaction. You didn't extend the same courtesy to him. You didn’t have any reaction.
“We found out very late, of course. I taught you well,” he chided, his inescapable  narcissism making an appearance once more. “But then we had to figure out why. Why you’d betray me and everything I’ve done for you.”
“I still can’t figure that out.” You wanted to scream at him, everything he had taken away from you, everything he forced you to be. “I treated you the best out of everyone I had. You had the best training, the best resources. You wouldn’t have made it anywhere if I didn’t drag you out of that shithole orphanage.”
You had heard of blissfully ignorant, but he was well beyond that at this point.
“Didn’t take too long to connect the dots. What, with Wilson’s great act of charity and your lack of better judgement, both of you managed to fuck up enough to screw me over years later.”
“I initially was only going to have you killed, Buttercup,” he admitted nonchalantly, like your life had no value. “But then we found out that Sam’s been lying to me for a long time too. Been hidin’ his friend a few states away.”
“It was meant to be,” he cooed. “Such a similar past. You could have met each other before, you know? Pierce wouldn’t be the first time you were at the same house on the same day.”
You couldn’t help but wonder what it would have been like if you had known Sam earlier. Would you have been friends or would you have been forced to kill each other in his sick ‘survival of the fittest’ game?
“It felt poetic to have you both die together, you know? On a mission gone wrong. A full circle.” God, he spent too long planning something elaborate when he could have just put a bullet in your head and ended you the day he found out. Fucking weirdo.
“Made sure I sent you to the same place at the same time. Pierce was dead long before you came, the poor fuck. But then again, collateral damage. No mercy.” He shrugged. “Had everyone at the ready. You should have died that night.”
“But like everything you do,” his voice suddenly rose like a child throwing a tantrum, “you fucked that up for me too. Escaped with his stupid fucking car.”
“None of those useless agents could find you. How could they?” The beauty was that Ransone must have spent too long looking when you were basically right there, just miles away. “You didn’t go to one of our locations and Serpentine hides their safehouses well.”
You still remembered the relief when the door accepted your fingerprint.
It was a long shot but you didn't have anywhere else to go. You weren’t even sure that this house existed.
Another loud crash arrived from the outside with noises that sounded like more gunshots, making Ransone jump this time. Just how many people were being tortured here?
“Keep the volume down, you stupid fucking imbeciles!” he screeched, pounding at the metal door. The decibel reduced, but still continued on.
He dragged his palm across his face in exasperation, talking under his breath to himself. He shook his head before turning back to you.
"Oh, by the way, don't think about escaping. Got every last one of my best agents out here after that stunt you pulled at Pierce’s house,” he says offhandedly.
He takes a second to regroup, get back into character.
“So we released your pictures to the public. Can’t go very far if people are looking for you constantly. It was the only way we could get you to stay in one place.” Ransone raised his shoulders casually. “We had every lowlife out there waiting for one of you to show up.”
“We eventually had someone report Wilson in a town a while away from Pierce. I was making my way there but then you sent me your location on your own. Had men outside your house that night.” He paused, peering at the plane in his hand.
He finally let it go, watching as it barely went any distance before nose diving to the ground. Your eyes trailed after it, hoping he wouldn’t crush it with his foot.
“This is the worst fucking paper plane I’ve ever seen. The balance is completely off.” He stared at it in wonder, picking it up again and shoving it back into his pocket. You let out a breath you didn’t realise you were holding. “Anyway one of them heard you talkin’ about how you’re leaving the next day so we just got ready at the door.”
“Et voila.” He grinned, spreading his arms. “Here we are. Brilliant, wasn’t it?”
Unnecessarily long, but you weren’t going to complain.
“Oh, I forgot you can’t talk.” His mouth quirked downwards into a ‘whoops’.
He took a long pause right in front of you before his hand reached out to cradle your face. “I wouldn’t let those idiots kill you, Buttercup. You deserved better than that.”
He stared unnervingly into your eyes, looking for a hint of anything, any sort of remorse. He wasn’t going to find any. You wished he saw nothing but hatred.
“It’s why I had to kill you myself.” He sighed when you pulled your face away the best you could from his palm in disgust. “But I’ll do you a solid. I’ll give you a chance to beg for forgiveness. Maybe if you’re good enough I’ll let you go.”
You knew he was lying. He had no intention of doing that. He only wanted you to grovel in submission, plead for your life for a fucking power trip.
He ripped off the tape that was over your mouth, making you flinch at the burn. He pulled out the cloth faster than you could spit it out at him.
“Go ahead,” Ransone said smugly. His ego would outlive all of you.
“Him first.” Your mouth was dry and your lips felt chapped. You had clearly been knocked out for a while by then. You had no idea how far away you were from the original location.
“What?” His smile dropped to a frown rather quickly.
“Him first.” You mentioned towards Sam with your head.
“That’s cute.” He laughed, stopping when you didn’t join in. “Oh, you’re serious.”
“I’m not saying shit till he does too.” You were bemused, monotonous. You just wanted to get this over as quickly as possible.
“Fine,” he huffed when your expression didn’t change. “It’d be fun to watch him beg anyway.”
You hear the rip of the tape from his face, the scrunch of the material before he balled it up and threw it on the floor.
Sam shook his head furiously, forcing Ransone to take a step back swiftly before he hit him.
“Right.” Ransone clapped his hands together. “Let’s get star-”
He was interjected by another loud bang followed by a series of gunshots. Another victim massacred. He groaned in frustration, stamping his feet at the constant interruption. The universe was determined to not let him finish his monologue in peace, and for that, you thanked her.
You looked at Sam, nodding slightly. He gave you a small smile in return, calming the nerves you were beginning to feel.
“Where were we?” Ransone did not look happy; a vein was dangerously visible on his forehead. Now would not be the best time to do anything that angered him. “Yes, go ahead. Beg.”
“Ransone,” Sam began, exhaling lightly. “We knew.”
The smile on Ransone’s face faltered. “What did you say?”
“He said we knew,” you cut in. “You melodramatic fuck.”
Ransone’s grin faded abruptly and it was by far the most satisfying experience you had ever experienced.
“Yeah, we figured it out ourselves a while ago.” Sam had the slightest smirk on his face. “Y/N did, actually.”
“Fuck,” you cursed.
You could feel his muscle shift as he looked at you.
“What’s wrong?”
You opened your mouth but shut it again. How do you explain it to him without sounding utterly ridiculous?
“I need to tell you something and I need you to hear me out before saying anything,” you pulled away from him, shuddering at the sudden cold that enveloped you.
“I’m listening.”
“I think it’s Ransone. He’s been trying to kill us.”
“Why?” He didn’t sound judgemental, hardly even fazed, like it was a completely plausible suggestion. You couldn’t express how glad you were.
“The guy you didn't kill, if he’s the old head of Serpentine, then... I know his son.” Your mouth was dry as your mind raced to piece it together. “He’s the one I didn’t kill.”
“What?” Sam’s eyebrows furrowed, and you could see him trying to figure out the connection. “How are you so sure?”
You closed your eyes, letting out a deep exhale. “I’m going to need you to not react to what I’m going to tell you.”
“Okay...” he trailed off.
“I’ve been working with him for two years. Passing information on to him about Ransone.”
“Wait so that means-”
“I’m the spy. And I think Ransone figured it out. He wants to kill me.”
“You knew,” Ransone stated. He looked like he was in a daze.
Sam looked at you once before nodding. “If you would shut up and let someone else talk for once, we would have told you a while ago.”
“It helped that you confirmed details about Pierce’s death without us having to tell you.” The last conversation you had with him replayed in your head verbatim. “There’s no way you would have known he was dead before we got there unless we told you. Or you did it.”
“We knew you had agents outside the house. Kinda expected that when we gave you the address,” you shrugged the best you could, “Sam’s security cameras got all of them.”
“Made sure that one fuck behind the tree could hear us planning outside,” Sam added. “He wasn’t very stealthy, by the way.”
“Have you decided on a day?”
You nod, looking straight ahead into the darkness. “Tomorrow.”
“You sure? Our timing has to be right.”
“Yeah.” Your voice is coarse. “I’ll have to tell him.”
He nodded, leaning his elbows on his knees. He was too tall for the stairs, almost like he was crouching instead of sitting.
His voice dropped to a whisper like it’s a secret only meant for you.
“You knew you were going to be ambushed.”
“No shit.” You nodded.
The loud bangs continued outside the door but you paid no heed to it. The closer it got, the more your stomach jumped, hoping that more people you pissed off didn’t storm in. You had quite a list anyway.
“You knew they were coming,” Ransone appeared like he had gears turning in his own head, trying to add everything up on his own. “Then why didn’t you run?”
“Well, we kinda needed all of you in one place.”
“Huh?” He blinked, not listening to all the commotion that was going on around him. If he didn’t, he was choosing to focus on this instead.
“We had to take out all of you at once,” you disclosed, fidgeting with the rope to see if it would give. “Kinda knew you were waiting to kill us yourself when we gave you the location and nothing happened immediately. You’re too much of a sissy to kill us without backup so we wanted you in one place with the rest of them.”
You tilted your head towards the two men standing in the corner.
“You knew all this while and lied,” Ransone jeered, face twisting into something rather indiscernible; a nice mix of shame and rage.
“Not like we had another choice, man.” You just knew Sam was rolling his eyes. “You think I would voluntarily listen to you monologue like an idiot?”
“You did gag us,” you added, trying to buy as much time as you could. “That’s on you.”
The ropes were still tight as could be and the chair wouldn’t budge. Even your feet were too tightly tied together to do anything. It was what you expected, but that wasn’t going to stop you.
“Shut up!” Ranone’s face was hideously red.
“You rehearsed it, didn’t you?” Sam called out, taunt in his tone. “With the lighting and shit.”
“He doesn’t have to. He does one a week to some poor fuck who has to listen.”
You couldn’t believe the both of you were teaming up to bully a man who literally held the fate of your lives in his hands. It was something you never imagined yourself doing.
“How do people take you seriously?” Sam laughed. More than yours, his remarks seemed to be ticking Ransone off.
Ransone let out a guttural cry, knuckles so white you were afraid they were going to break. He whips around, stomping over to pull the gun from the hand of one of his bodyguards.
“Easy there, DeNiro, that’s not a stage prop.” Sam chided.
The concrete in front of him suddenly cracks loudly. He looked up, slightly taken aback.
“Next time it’ll be your fucking face,” Ransone snarled, waving the gun around like a maniac. You send a cautionary glance to Sam, telling him to back off. Ransone was volatile. He would act without thinking.
“Why did you kill everyone I was friends with, Vincent?” you asked slowly, trying to divert his mind.
He turned to you, a crazed look in his eyes.
“Why did you take everyone from me?” The more you asked, the more it became about genuine curiosity rather than a distraction from shooting Sam in the head.
“Take everyone from- none of them were going to last anyway!” He throws his hands up in the air angrily. “I was saving you from yourself. From the eventual pain.”
His face was desperate, and you for a second forced yourself to think from his perspective. He looked like he truly believed in what he was saying, like he genuinely thought he was supporting you. Like he cared. The thought that maybe he truly wanted to help you was the only way you could comfort yourself for so many years.
“If you were in pain, you wouldn’t perform. I was only pushing you to your full potential,” he continued, a wild smile on his face mixed with eyes rimmed red like he was ready to cry.
Your stomach sank, even though you hated it. It wasn’t about you, it was about what he could get from you.
There was silence. Even the noises outside seemed to have stopped, all waiting for your next move.
“You’re a sick, conniving fuck,” your words waver, and you hope it hits him as hard as it can, “And I can’t wait till you’re dead.”
His face morphed from one of helplessness to slow fury once more. Manipulative prick.
“Do I have to remind you that you’re the one tied up?” He wipes at his nose, voice returning to normal. “The only reason you’re alive right now is because I need to know why you let yourself be captured so willingly.”
Your incessant need to know everything stemmed from him and the paranoia he induced in you from when you were a kid. Everything you thought was wrong about you came from him.
“We told you, you overdramatic fuck.” Sam drew the attention away from you thankfully. You took a deep breath, stabilizing yourself.
“What, that you needed the team in one place to take us out?” Ransone asked, to no one’s answer. “You and what army?”
“Well, the one who’s been here for a while now,” you pipe up.
No one says anything. Pin drop silence reigns free.
“You said he’d be here,” Sam hissed at you. “How much longer do we keep this going?”
“He said he would,” you argued back, feeling the heat creep into your cheeks.
“What the fuck are you both talking about?” Ransone asked, but you continued to ignore him.
“What are we going to do if he-”
The door violently exploded off its hinges, sending debris flying everywhere. You clenched your eyes shut and ducked your head to avoid getting smacked in the face with rubble
The dust hadn’t even cleared before multiple rounds were fired. You flinched when your ringing ears hurt more at the sound of gunshots.
You struggle against your ropes, trying to get to Sam. They only get tighter until suddenly your arms break free. Your neck and legs soon follow as you shrug off the ropes that were cleanly sliced off.
Your ears were still getting used to the chaos when you notice someone humming behind you. It took a second to register that it was a fucking Britney Spears song.
“What took you so long?” You coughed, waving the air in front of you to clear it as you stumbled towards Sam.
“I wanted to make an entrance,” Loki said dismissively, following you. “I think I may have overshot it by a few seconds.”
You fell to your knees in front of Sam, quickly moving to untie the familiar knots. He lifted his head to look at you, a thin layer of dust covering his face.
“Are you okay?” you asked in concern, simultaneously untying as fast as you could. It was one you had used many times before; a complicated knot that guaranteed you wouldn’t have been able to make it out of the bondage.
“I think my leg’s asleep but other than that I’m good.”
You give him a small smile, thankful that he wasn’t hurt enough to lose his dry sense of humour. Your hand involuntarily reached up to brush some dust off his cheekbone. The intensity with which he looked at you had you swallowing thickly.
You snapped out of it quickly, working on freeing his legs as Loki took a step behind his chair to cut the rest of him loose.
“This him?” Sam mentioned to Loki, massaging his wrist to return some feeling into it.
“You can just ask me, you know,” Loki commented, but clearly not taking any offence.
“I’m sorry about your family, man.”
You didn’t expect Sam to say that, and from the looks of it, neither did Loki. He stopped for a moment, before continuing to cut the last rope.
“You let my father go,” he said, sawing the last part off, “and although I personally think you should have killed the miserable old bastard, he made it clear that he owed you one.”
The both of you stood up. You glanced around the room, noting how both of Ransone’s bodyguards were on the floor, bullet holes riddling their body.
He himself was beside them, lying facefront on the ground. Armani suit be damned.
“How many more are outside?” Sam asked, tearing your attention away from the bodies on the floor.
“All taken care of.” Loki put the knife back into its sheath on his thigh. “We made quite a commotion. I’m surprised he didn’t do anything.”
“He’s a little dense,” Sam remarked. Most of the noises you heard earlier weren’t just other victims being tortured, although you knew that it was still a large fraction of it.
“Should we go?” you asked, doing a quick sweep of the room. You found nothing moving among the pile of rubble.
“Unless you got anything else left to do.” Loki gestured to the large hole in the wall where the door was.
“I think we’re done.”
He simply nodded, spinning on his heel to walk out the room when someone yelled from behind you.
You all halted what you were doing, slowly turning to look at where the noise was coming from.
“Don’t take another step,” Ransone warned, a gun pointed straight at you, barely able to stand straight. He looked worse than you’d ever seen him. His suit was torn and he had a few streaks of blood down his face. His hair was tousled and unkempt, rougher than it had ever been before. “Or I swear I’ll-”
“Oh, shut up,” Loki interjected, firing a shot into Ransone’s stomach before anyone could even react. He returned the gun to its holster that you didn’t even notice was there on his waist. “He talks too much.”
Ransone staggered back until he hit the wall, knees buckling beneath his weight as he slid to the ground. The gun he pried off his bodyguards lay where he was standing previously.
You ignored Sam’s uneasy questions as you took a step forward.
You picked the gun up, cautiously making your way to Ransone. You crouched next to his body. He looked at you before looking down. You followed his line of sight, watching as he lifted his hands. They were covered in blood.
“How’d he know where to find you?” Ransone’s voice was more subdued than you’d ever heard him.
You reached over, slipping your fingers into his jacket pocket and pulled out the paper airplane that was flattened due to the impact.
“Hey, you can put a message in it. Maybe one of those button trackers, a microphone. The possibilities are endless.” He laughed, folding another one out of the limited supply of paper he had left.
You unfolded it, letting a small object, not bigger than a button, fall into your palm. He stared at it before realisation dawned on him.
“I knew you’d take all my weapons, but you wouldn’t get rid of this,” you disclosed, folding the paper plane back to what it was and gently putting it into your pocket. It was still salvageable. “Not if you could use it to hurt me.”
You watched him take a shaky breath, flinching when more blood rushed out of him.
“You can still help me, Y/N. We can get out of here together,” he rasped. “Think about everything we’ve been through. We can work it out. I love you.”
You involuntarily let out a strangled cry at the last part. It was nothing but a last ditch attempt to persuade you, pull you back in.
“Look- look at me. Buttercup,” he croaked when you wouldn’t oblige. “I love you. I’m your home.”
You finally look at him. Look right into his eyes, red rimmed and fading. You look for it, the adoration he spoke of. The care he promised. Anything to make sense of why he would tear you apart time and time again. The love he had for you.
You find nothing. Gray eyes look back at you blankly, desperately, in pain.
“You never were,” you whisper, standing up abruptly.
You raised your arm, pointing the gun at him. He sputtered out more half baked apologies, unaware of anything that was coming out of his own mouth.
You clench your eyes shut, pulling the trigger. He lets out a cry when the bullet lodges in his shoulder.
You take a step back, letting the scene imprint itself in your brain of him powerless on the ground at your will. If you followed what he preached, you’d have ended his life right there. No mercy.
But you weren’t him. And you didn’t ever want to be.
“I need to do something too,” you heard Sam say. You can feel him near you, brushing against you for a moment as he gently reached for the gun you held. You gave it to him, feeling him squeeze your hand in reassurance.
Ransone looked at Sam as he stood beside you. He fired a single shot into his leg, clearly hitting bone. You hear the same wail from before, mixed with sputtering as blood leaked from his mouth.
“That was from Riley. He says fuck you.” Sam let his hand fall again. “All yours, man.”
“You already know what this is for,” Loki said simply.
You chose not to look away as he shot the last round right into his forehead. Ransone’s head slumped over. Dead, glassy eyes stared beyond you.
None of you say anything. Just stare at the lifeless body in front of you.
“It’s really over, huh?” Sam’s voice is quiet, like he's having trouble processing what just happened.
You don’t answer. Only take a step towards him, and intertwine your fingers with his, continuing to stare at the corpse of your lifelong abuser.
____
The sun was beating down on you. You didn’t expect it to be evening when you stepped out of the warehouse.
“Where are we?” you asked, shielding your eyes from the sudden brightness that left you squinting.
“Middle of nowhere, I’d say.” Loki stares with disdain at the old building that looked worse for wear. “Would it kill the man to have a bit of taste?”
That reminded you. “Thanks for the house. And… sorry we showed up uninvited.”
“You didn’t do too much damage to it, I hope.”
You looked at him guiltily, mind flashing to the many bullet holes that decorated the back wall. “I’ll pay for the repairs.”
“Forget it. It’s of no use since everyone knows it exists now.” He dismissed with a wave of his hand. “So, Y/N. I guess that concludes our deal?”
“I guess it does.” You nodded,
Sam wraps his arms around your shoulder and you lean into him with a sigh, allowing the comfort his touch brought to seep into you.
“How’d you guys make a deal anyway?” he inquired. You closed your eyes, chest rising and falling steadily.
“Well, I was going to kill you at first,” Loki explained offhandedly, gesturing to you. “But then-”
He trailed off.
You remember, clear as day, when Loki confronted you in the early hours of the morning outside the park you went on runs. He had a gun pulled on you before you could fathom what was going on, before you could even realise who he was.
“But then?” Sam prodded.
“Did he make it?”
“He did,” you divulged the information you had found out a while ago. It was a messy confrontation to say the least but you got out unscathed.
“Saw something that I recognised,” he said dryly, eyeing you up and down. “We were both pulled into something we didn’t have a say in. Stuck, you could say. I just thought that it was a win-win situation if we worked together to kill that idiot back there.”
“So you agreed to spy on him,” Sam concluded. “You got revenge. What was your incentive?”
You look at Loki who just smiled at you. You return one half heartedly.
“I’d say freedom is a pretty big reward, wouldn’t you?” And it was. You couldn’t even begin to explain the weight that would be lifted off your shoulders. “I can’t guarantee you’ll have a perfectly normal life. Might have to change your identity, move around a bit.”
“Everyone’s looking for us as wanted criminals,” Sam voiced everything you were forgetting about in the surge of emotions rushing through you.
“I got some connections,” Loki said dismissively. You peered at him from under Sam's arm. “I can have it traced back to a dead mobster in a warehouse, no problem. If they think it’s a gang war there’s no way they’ll try to get too involved. Consider it a gift from my father.”
Sam nodded, relaxing slightly now that most things were taken care of.
“That’s sorted then.” Loki examined the barren land that surrounded you. “You’re going to need a ride back to civilization, aren’t you?”
“If that’s possible.”
“I’ll have someone drop you off. You got any place to go? At least to stay low for a while.”
You didn’t have anyone. The only one you had was the man beside you. Nothing was settling in at the moment, and you realised that it would be a long road until it did. But you had a shot. A real shot at something even resembling recovery.
Sam and you looked at each other before he turned back to Loki and nodded.
“New Orleans.”

Before Our Story Began
Lee Donghyuck/Haechan X Reader | Smut, Fluff | 7.4k | College AU Summary: The popular new kid at your campus has this habit of raising his eyebrows when he flirts and you just realized that maybe you have a kink for it.
It has the same setting as my previous Mark Lee X Reader’s stories (Our First Time and Drunk Antics) but if you’re not into Mark (I’m not judging but what is wrong with you) you can just skip those two because this story can be read separately.
Tumblr media
Before dating the socially-awkward, yet utterly adorable Mark Lee, you have had your fair share of relationships that are now reduced into the form of awkward friendships. Your last boyfriend was Lee Donghyuck—who also publicly known as Haechan—and that fact does not sit well with Mark, because well, they were the best of friends. They still are, but it feels like they’re walking on thin ice whenever you’re in the picture so you try your best to stay away from your ex just to make sure everything is all right with the three of you.
Which is quite weird, knowing how close you were with Haechan before.
It was weird in the beginning, but fate really did play a major role in your relationship. You were in your second year of college and you’d managed to pull yourself together by that time, though you hadn’t really made any real friends yet. You weren’t aware of Mark’s existence either at that point, though he probably had with him being your long-time secret admirer after all. You were too busy trying to adapt to the new college and dormitory life, as well as trying to keep your grades up, that you could barely spend some time socializing with people. Project partners and study buddies were really as far as you could go with the term of friendship during your first year.
Your relationship didn’t exactly start as friends with Lee Donghyuck. Even though he had made tons of friends since his orientation days in college, you were certainly not one of them. You didn’t even know he existed in your world, and neither did he. Younger than both you and Mark, Haechan shone like the sun almost in every aspect of his life and unlike you, people had surely noticed that because he was academically smart, physically good-looking, very social and adventurously funny. It didn’t take long before he became popular at your campus. So popular, in fact, that you heard chatters of his name when you walked down the campus’ hallway with your textbooks in your arms. You had only known his name but not his face, so you didn’t really feel nervous or overly excited like any other girls would’ve probably had when you accidentally sat next to him during public speaking class and saw that he had a silly note stuck on his back, pressed against his black hoodie.
“Hey,” you called, loud enough for him to hear but quiet enough so the people around you wouldn’t notice. “You’ve got something on your back.”
The boy was young, and he had the smoothest golden skin you’d ever seen on a boy. You would probably kill to have his perfect sun-kissed skin. He had slightly chubby cheeks and a mop of dark brown hair with bangs falling over his eyes. He was slouching forward in his seat with his arms draped over his table, staring lifelessly at the board. His lower lip was jutting out in boredom and slight annoyance, reminding you of a five-year-old boy missing his favorite cartoon. He threw a glance to the side, looking at you with big, chocolate brown eyes, and his eyebrows raised in question.
“What?” He asked and you pointed to the back of his hoodie with your pen.
“I won’t judge if it’s the kind of thing you’re into,” you said, “but I don’t think placing a note behind your back with the words Spank Me, Mama, written on it is the best way to actually, you know, get it.”
He blushed and he blushed so hard that it made you think huh, he’s kinda cute, but you buried the thought right away. You had promised yourself to focus better that year. Falling head over heels for a fellow student on the first day of your new term was not the right way to do it.
“Right, thanks.” He struggled with the note, reaching behind his back as if his skin was on fire. You were about to help when he finally snatched the paper and read the words under his breath, eyes widening in shock.
“I assume that’s not your handwriting?” You were amused but tried your best not to tease him so much.
He did this pout that actually kind of fit his face, probably because he still had that baby face going on. Most of the guys you knew would look immensely disgusting if they pulled that kind of pout. Take your brother, Johnny, for example. Even the thought of him doing that already made you feel like punching your fist against a wall.
“I would weep myself to sleep if my handwriting was this bad,” he grumbled and you smiled secretly to yourself. He turned to you, an awkward grin painting his face. “Sorry, my friends are assholes. Do you happen to know a swamp nearby where I can dump dead bodies without being found out?”
You nod. “I know a place but it’s no longer free, though. They charge you, like, ten thousand won per body. Which is why I’m broke.”
His timid grin grew into a bright smile, probably feeling quite elated that somebody shared the same type of dumb humor as him. “I’m Lee Donghyuck.” He sneaked a hand under a table and you took it for a handshake, answering him with your name. “Thanks for saving my life.”
“Most welcome. You can save me back later when I have the words spank me, daddy, glued to my back.”
“So your friends are assholes too?”
“It’s what people have in common these days, I suppose.”
But when your professor spoke louder to make sure he didn’t any other noise in the room except his own, you had to cut your conversation short and only threw small grins at him every now and then.
When the class ended, you both parted ways with nothing more than a small wave of a hand and a casual, “Well, I guess, I’ll see you later.” You thought it would be too weird to get even friendlier than that, and he probably did too. You admitted that he was cute, but not cute enough for you to ditch your next class and make out with him in the nearest parking lot. You thought you were going to see him again soon anyway, probably the next week when the same class started.
And you were right, but you wished you weren’t because Donghyuck came back to your class the following week looking like a full-course meal.
Donghyuck probably had his hair cut short somewhere on the weekend and it looked absolutely fucking perfect on his head. His bangs were no longer hiding his eyes, and it was clear to you then that Donghyuck with his forehead seen, combined with those thick beautiful eyebrows and mesmerizing round eyes, were really something to behold.
He didn’t notice you were already in the class when he walked in, with his bag slinging on one shoulder. Some rowdy boys were shouting at the back of the room, “Haechan-ah, over here! Saved you a seat!” And Donghyuck grinned at them, waving his hand before he walked toward their seats and you thought Lee Donghyuck is Haechan?! That Haechan?! And mentally slapped yourself on the face when the flashback hit you. You had the chance to talk to one of the most popular boys in school and you talked about swamp and dead bodies.
Absolutely fucking perfect.
After you managed to collect yourself, you couldn’t hold back this urge to sneak a few glances to the back of the class, trying to catch a glimpse of that beautiful forehead of his—which you realized by then that you had some kind of a kink for it—without having him notice you.
But he did. He did notice every time you tried to secretly stare and he reciprocated each time with a smile, raising one of his eyebrows almost dangerously seductive at you and you thought goddamn if that wasn’t the sexiest thing I’ve seen in my twenty years of living I don’t know what is.
You offered your best effort to stay fucking calm despite everything that had been going on in your head, waving one hand at him with a small—hopefully not creepy—smile on your face. You immediately turned around right after, swallowing your breath, and tried not to vomit because your stomach felt like it was about to lurch out of your mouth. It wasn’t really an unpleasant feeling; it was just kind of new to you and you loathed the way your heart was slamming against your ribcages.
Okay, you mentally calmed yourself, get a hold of yourself. No need to panic. He’s just another cute boy, with a cute haircut, and a cute smirk, and a cute forehead and—
You really didn’t like where it was going.
When the class ended—and you didn’t learn a thing about it—you shoved your iPad back into your bag and let out the loudest sigh you had ever made in your sorry life.
“Bad day?”
Haechan’s voice was next to your ear and though you only jerked slightly on the outside, most of your soul had actually gone to heaven—or hell, from all those dirty thoughts you had about him during the last two hours of that lecture.
“Yeah,” you cooly replied. Thank God, your voice didn’t betray you. “My swamp is full again. I have to start looking for a new place.”
AM I SERIOUSLY TALKING ABOUT ANOTHER FUCKING SWAMP—
But Haechan was laughing about it, not too much but the amusement on his face was genuine. “It’s cute that you remember our previous conversation.”
“It’s cute that you do too.”
“Well, actually, that’s what I’ve been thinking about for the last week,” he told you with a smirk on his face. You dared to bet on your life that he was flirting with you and you were about to scream out of joy but you reminded yourself to play it cool.
“I don’t think it’s a conversation worth remembering,” you commented nonchalantly.
“Not if I had it with anyone else.”
You almost fell from your seat. “On second thought, it was a pretty interesting conversation, what with the—”
“Noona.” He suddenly leaned close, laying one hand on your desk to prop his weight. There was that smirk again—the one with his eyebrow raised. “I’m trying to flirt with you and ask you out on a date, if you haven’t noticed.”
Your tongue felt heavy in your mouth and you could hear your own heartbeat in your ears at that point. You had thought about it—about him asking you out—but your imagination did not do justice on how smooth and confident or how goddamn attractive he looked in real life. “Oh.”
“Oh.” He imitated, smirking a bit wider and you were dazed with how bright he shone. “So, can I take you out for lunch? Not anywhere close to swamps full of dead bodies, I swear.” Then after a small pause, he added, “Unless, that’s what you’re into.”
“Shut up,” you retorted, standing up and gathering all your belongings into your arms. “You’re paying.”
He laughed softly to himself, trailing after you with a cheeky grin on his face. “This swamp thing could be our thing, though.”
“Shut up.”
***
Haechan was not one to take it slow, you remember, which is way different from how Mark does things with you.
It wasn’t like Haechan was overly aggressive—as far as boys go, he was pretty normal about the whole dating and sex thing—but he really just head straight to the point whenever he had something in mind, whether it was by a sudden change of topic in your conversation, or acting it out directly with his body.
While Mark tends to plan things, Haechan just did everything out on a whim. You could be talking about science fiction movies at a cafe at one point, and ended up with having your clothes soaked with water by the next few hours because he suddenly felt like the day was too hot and jumping into the campus pool fully clothed was a good idea. You weren’t sure why you’d said yes to all of that when you just barely knew him but Haechan could be very persuasive. So dangerously so, that you would probably say yes to anything.
It was on your third date when he suddenly bent his head down and cut you in the middle of your sentence with a kiss. It was only a small peck, a quick pressing of his plump lips against yours, but it still managed to literally stop you from breathing for a good couple of seconds.
“Sorry,” he said, pulling away with his eyes still staring at your lips. “I was… distracted.”
You knew it was lust in his eyes and you were familiar with yourself enough to know that you usually preferred to have your first kiss after you knew the guy for a certain amount of time. But Haechan—the way he sometimes stared at your lips for a millisecond while you were talking, or hugged you for a few seconds too long before you parted ways—really made you feel special. Made you feel… wanted. And it had been a long time since someone made you feel that way.
So it really didn’t come too much of a surprise that when he dipped his head down to kiss you again, you responded with as much passion as he emitted. You didn’t care that both of you were still standing in the middle of your co-ed dorm’s hallway, though it was empty from how late it was. You had your fingers tangled in his hair as you tiptoed and leaned your entire weight to his body, making him inhale sharply and curl his fingers around the fabric of your dress.
“Again,” he breathed when you pulled away for a split second and immediately brought you back to him again. Haechan had one arm around your waist and another one holding your face, angling your head to the side so he could kiss you deeper.
Haechan was a good kisser—so frighteningly so that it made you feel conscious of how inexperienced you were compared to him. And with the way his hands were moving around your body, you could tell that things were going a bit too fast.
“Haechan—”
The hand that you laid on his chest to give you both some space, was brought over your head as he pressed your body against the door of your room. He kissed you harder, almost knocking your head against the wooden surface, and you could taste the flavor of the lollipop he had on his way back to your dorm. His scent was intoxicating in the best way possible, numbing your mind from thinking how this could probably end up in a bad decision.
“Haechan-ah, wait,” you gasped against his mouth, and when he did, pulling away from you for a few inches to catch his own breath, you noticed that even if you managed to stop him, you probably wouldn’t sound very convincing.
It was really fortunate that although Haechan was a man of passion, he still had the patience to make your consent his priority. “Too fast?” He asked, warm breath fanning against your lips and you really wanted to just close those few inches between you and be smothered with his kisses again.
So you did, and you could feel him smirking into the kiss. The way he slipped his tongue between your mouth made your knees buckle underneath your weight so you clutched onto him as if you were hanging to dear life. Haechan formed this low grunt at the back of his throat that made your skin tingle in delight, knowing that you had that kind of effect on him.
But really, something still didn’t feel right.
“Do you want to stop?” He asked, noticing how you fidgeted uncomfortably under his touch. He looked like stopping at this point would be the last thing he wanted to do but he still gave you the space you needed.
You nodded your head slowly at his question. Haechan looked like he had to put his best effort to gain control of his body and move away from you, and you could totally relate at that point, actually. You weren’t really sure why did you even stop him before. It just felt like the right thing to do but at the same time, it was the last thing you wanted to do.
“Haechannie—"
“I’m sorry,” he said, taking a step away from you and releasing you from his hold. You were surprised by the fact that you almost fell down to the floor when he wasn’t holding you.
“No, don’t be—it was, umm,” You cleared your throat. The collar of your knitted sweater suddenly felt too tight. “It was good.”
“Good?” Haechan asked, smirking as he raised an eyebrow and you thought fuck there’s that look again and you cursed inwardly a few more times for feeling so whipped for his little, seductive eyebrow raise. “I thought that was more than good, Noona.”
“Probably for you,” you wanted to tease but you could hear your voice crack at the end.
“Oh, really?”
And he kissed you again because he never wanted to lose his game. He knew he already had you wrapped under his fingers; he just wanted to make you succumb to him. To have you say how amazing his touches really felt on your skin because he was just that kind of a guy.
And he was winning. Your reaction was exactly the way he wanted you to be, arching your back under his touch, pressing your chest against his, tongue darting out to taste the inside of his mouth better and longer.
“No, wait, timeout.” You pushed him away again and you noticed that his hair was a mess from the work of your fingers and weirdly enough, it only made him ten thousand times hotter.
“Noona, you’re torturing me.” He whined against your shoulder, playfully biting the skin over your clothes. “Do you want me to stop or not?”
Haechan had the habit of whining when things didn’t go his way. It was immature and it would probably look childishly annoying on someone else, but it only made him  that much more adorable. Still annoying most of the time, but always adorable.
“I’m sorry.” You were torn between feeling bad or laughing about it because my God, look at that pout. “Maybe a five-minute break? I could make you some coffee. My roommate is away for the weekend.”
He sighed, the pout on his lips grew even more apparent. “You’re inviting me to your room? At this hour? After this?”
“I’m not going to have sex with you tonight, Lee Donghyuck, just to be clear.”
“Which is the more reason why you shouldn’t be inviting me over then!”
You laughed because his voice was becoming quite high-pitched. “Are you so incapable of using your brain instead of your dick?”
“Noonaaaaa~” He threw his head back in exasperation, which gave you the chance to ogle at the column of his throat. “Seriously, is torturing guys at the end of a date your sick hobby or something?”
“Look, if you stay over, we can still make-out.” You throw a smirk at him, unlocked your door and pushed it wide open. “And I make the most amazing coffee, trust me.”
“Fine,” he exhaled, walking into your room with a suppressed smile on his face. “And I’m only here for coffee, nothing more. Making-out with you is just a bonus.” And you found yourself giggling like a child as he cradled you into his arms and pushed you down to your bed because you both knew, it was the other way around.
***
About a month later, a similar situation happened again and there was no getting out of it.
It started with Haechan coming over to your room on a Sunday afternoon. Your roommate was staying over at her boyfriend’s place again for the weekend, so you had the room to yourself for the entire day. Haechan came unplanned and he’d brought his MacBook with him because, “I know myself well enough that I’d end up playing Overwatch instead of working on my assignment, so could you please be a responsible adult and force me to do my work even if I start crying at your feet?”
Haechan was always the dramatic one in your relationship but you nodded your head and let him in. You brought over some snacks and made him coffee like usual—which he always replied with, “Noona, I don’t want to sound like an ungrateful boyfriend but this coffee tastes like shi—” but was always finished with a pillow smacked to his face, a form of your courtesy.
You were working on your own papers too, sitting on the carpeted floor with your back pressed against the foot of your bed and a MacBook resting on your lap. Your textbooks were sprawled all over the place, and Haechan was lying down on your bed, head falling over the edge. He was looking at his phone, his thumb running up and down the screen.
“Noona?”
“Hmm?”
“I’m bored.”
“Aren’t you supposed to work on your assignment?”
“Finished it already.”
You threw a look over your shoulder, glancing to see him lounging on your bed as if it was his own. Haechan already had his MacBook closed, and was looking at you upside down with a completely bored look on his face. You knew he was smart, but you didn’t know he was that smart when he really put his mind to it.
“Well, that was fast,” you commented.
“No, you’re just doing it painfully slow.”
“Well, sorry for not being as smart as you,” you mumbled, even though you weren’t really annoyed about it. Haechan  huffed and walked closer, sitting closely right behind you, and trapping you between his legs.
“You’re the smartest girl I’ve ever met, though,” he said, wrapping his arms around your waist. “What are you working on exactly?”
“I don’t even know, honestly,” you sighed, leaning against his chest, dropping your head on his shoulder. “You wanna order some take-out?”
“Can I eat you for dinner instead?”
“Was that a sex joke, Lee Donghyuck?”
“Could be, if you’re interested.” You could see him wiggling his eyebrows from his reflection on your standing mirror. Both of you looked adorable, if you could say so yourself, wearing a matching white shirt (though not on purpose) and enjoying each other’s warmth with Haechan’s arms wrapped protectively around your figure. You sighed as you admired the sight of Haechan’s features in the mirror.
“Have I told you how sexy you look with your hair pushed back like this?” You asked, reaching out to touch some of his strands and he followed your gaze, looking at his own reflection in the mirror.
“Huh.” He seemed surprised. “It’s the first time you said that actually. What else do you think is sexy about me?”
“Promise you won’t get cocky about it if I tell you?”
“Can’t. You know how I am.”
You sighed but you succumbed to his wish. He praised you from time to time, it was only fair for you to do the same. “The way you dance.”
“You saw me dance?”
“Hm-hmm.”
“When?”
“That time when we went to Jaemin’s party. You were dancing to Billy Jean.”
“You saw that?!” He was flustered, scarlet painting his cheeks and ears. “That was—I thought you were in the bathroom!”
“Well, I was going to but then I saw you and kinda had to stop and stare for a little. You dance more with your hips than with your hands, do you know that? It was kinda hot.”
And just like that, the flabbergasted look on his face was immediately replaced with that Godforsaken cocky smirk again. “Were you turned on back then because of me?”
“A little. Or maybe I just really had to pee.”
“You should’ve said something, you know.”
“And then what? Have sex with you in Jaemin’s room? No freaking way.”
“We could’ve used my car. My hips could do so much more than just dancing, you know.”
“You’re disgusting.” You elbowed him slightly on the stomach to stop him from giggling, before you focused back on your MacBook. “Now, shoo, my boy. Mommy’s gotta work.”
Haechan had his chin on one of your shoulders. “But Noona~”
“I’m studying.”
“I’m bored~” He whined like the baby that he was, nuzzling his nose against the crook of your neck and you flinched slightly when his breath tickled your skin. “Can we make-out? Please pretty pleaseeeee~”
“Give me half an hour to finish this real quick—”
“Noonaaaaaaa~”
“What?” You were trapped between laughing and acting annoyed about it. “I seriously need to study. Didn’t you tell me to be a responsible adult for today?”
“You could also be a responsible adult by making-out with me though.” He chuckled to himself. “We could do adult things if you—”
“No,” you firmly stated though your smile kept on appearing on your face. You pushed a palm against his cheek, playfully shoving him away. “Now, go away, Dongsookie, I really have to study.”
“Fine,” he exhaled loudly against your shoulder and you could practically feel his pout growing on his face. He didn’t let you go, though. He kind of just sat there behind you, still circling his arms around your waist as he lazily stared at the words you were typing on the keyboard. You had trouble concentrating with the way you could feel every time he took in a breath from how close his chest was pressed against your spine but eventually you got the hang of it.
You were already working on your third page when Haechan suddenly had his lips on the side of your neck, lazily suckling on the skin until you could no longer ignore him.
“Haechannie.”
“Hmm?”
“What are you doing?”
“I’m playing a game,” he murmured against your skin, licking at the soft skin before he nibbled at it with his teeth. “It’s called how fast can I distract my girlfriend from working over a stupid assignment instead of spending time with me.”
“But I am spending time with you, though.”
“You know what I mean.”
And you had to bite your lip because he had a certain kind of pressure on his words that made your skin tingle in anticipation. His lips were soft but scorching hot as he drew bruises on your skin and it felt so good and dangerous at the same time. It was like standing on a bridge made of glass, both exciting and terrifying.
“You know what I think is sexy about you?” He quietly asked, one hand running down your body, slipping under your shirt and hovering dangerously close to your bra. “The way you say my name when we kiss,” he continued, adding a soft moan when he latched his lips around your earlobe.
You shivered, feeling heat growing on your cheeks. “Haechannie—”
“Yes, like that,” he chuckled, his voice suddenly became deeper. “You’re so sexy, you’re driving me insane.”
You tried your best to ignore him, you really did. But the second he had his warm mouth against your lips, his fingers grabbing your face almost forcefully to turn towards him, you just lost it and you found yourself crawling into his lap, tangling your legs around his waist and moaning against his mouth as he was against yours.
“Noona,” he sighed when you kissed down his neck, as if your every touch was a gift that he craved more and more. He shuddered slightly when you had your hand under his shirt and as if you just pushed the wrong button, he suddenly picked you up by the waist, shoved your textbooks away with one swipe of the back of his hand, and laid you down on the carpeted floor in one swift motion.
“If you keep doing that,” he breathed out heavily, eyes glazed as he stared at your kiss swollen lips. “I won’t be able to stop, even if you beg me to.”
You weren’t sure what came over you but you found yourself hooking your fingers around his necklace and brought his face down, whispering, “Then don’t stop,” directly against his lips.
It was all rush and passion and Haechan was not wasting even a second away before he began to undress you, removing each clothing very easily and you secretly wondered just how many times had he done this before from how smooth he unclasped your bra with one flick of his finger.
He pulled his shirt over his head, his silver necklace hanging loosely around his neck. “Tell me if I’m being too fast,” he said, before he climbed on top of you, throwing the piece of clothing away without a care. Your heart jumped at the sight of him, knowing how this could lead to something more but couldn’t really stop him. Not with the way he had his hands reaching down from the valley of your breasts, down to your stomach, his fingers brushing above the hem of your jeans.
His kiss was always breathtaking, to say the least, but it was a bit different this time because it felt like he was losing control of himself. His kiss was almost forceful, his teeth roughly nibbling at your lower lip before he moved down your chin and found his place in the crook of your neck again. His hand was on your chest, cupping you fully with his palm and let out this sexy groan when he felt you gasping his name against his mouth.
“Fuck, you’re just doing that on purpose now, aren’t you?” He hissed, eyes clouded with lust. He peppered kisses down your chest, lips hovering above your nipple when he said, “You’re being cruel, Noona.” You were tugging at his dark locks when he placed it between his lips, sucking at the sensitive spot, and you tried to hold back your moan but failing every time.
Haechan was giggling to himself, his tongue flicking around the bud. “The way you’re reacting to me is so cute. I didn’t know you were this sensitive.” He ran his tongue across his lower lip, staring at you like he wanted to ravish every part of you, which he probably did. “You’re so goddamn cute.”
“Haechannie.”
“Yeah?”
“I won’t be needing that kind of commentary ever again in the future, thanks,” you uttered, trying your best to focus on his touch and not his words because Haechan could be annoyingly talkative sometimes.
He chuckled again, moving along to land a few kisses on your stomach. “If you’re that sensitive here, how sensitive will you be if I touch you right over…” He trailed a finger down from your belly button to the edge of your underwear. His eyes twinkled gleefully before he rubbed your clit over your underwear. “…here?”
You gave your best strength to stay sane but Haechan’s giggle over your reaction only tortured you even further. “Stop playing around,” you hissed under your breath, pretty sure that you were blushing from ear to ear.
“Playing?” Haechan grinned tauntingly, “I’m being pretty serious, though.” He spread your legs, kissing the inner part of your trembling thigh before he hovered dangerously close to the point you could feel his breath down there. You couldn’t help but gulp in anticipation and Haechan knew that. He knew how much you wanted him to take off your underwear and eat you out like it’s his last meal.
But of course, being the little fucking devil that he was, Haechan only threw you his usual smirk and said, “You know I’d do anything for you, right, Noona? You just gotta beg for it.”
“No way.”
“Otherwise, I wouldn’t know.” He faked a pout. “I’m younger than you, you know. I need you to teach me these things.”
You reciprocated by kicking him right on his abs because as desperate as you were, there was no way in hell you were going to grovel at his feet, begging for him to please you. “All right, all right, I’m sorry, geez!” Haechan said, laughing as he successfully dodged two of your first kicks. Soon after, he grabbed your moving legs, carefully placed them on his sides and ran his hands slowly from your legs to your thighs. He took a long glance at your body, sighing like it was some kind of beautiful torture for him to take. “You don’t even realize how hot you are, do you?” He leaned closer and grabbed you by your chin, locking both of your gazes together. “Do you even know how hard I am right now because of you?”
It was a rhetorical question, clearly, because you could definitely tell how hard and hot he was pressing against you, even if his jeans and your underwear were still on the way.
“God, just—” you gasped when he slipped a knee between your legs, pressing it against your core. “Just stop being a fucking tease and fuck me already, Donghyuck.”
And he grinned against your skin. “Fucking finally.” You heard him say under his breath, before he carried you in his arms and moved you to the bed. It felt somewhat scary, how fast he was being, because you had only experienced sex once and it was the painfully awkward kind of sex with your high school boyfriend and you didn’t really have the chance to practice it with anyone else while it seemed to you, at this point, was clearly not the case for him.
Haechan had his eyes on you, all half-lidded with lust and passion, as he unbuckled the belt of his jeans and you had to gulp at the sight. He didn’t really have six-pack abs like Jaehyun—considering your boyfriend was quite an athlete during his senior days—but his shoulders were broad, his chest was toned, his stomach was lean and his skin, as it glistened slightly with sweat, was just absolutely breathtaking.
“Enjoying the view?” He asked, and you knew how he’d always been cocky in his entire life, but he’d never been this cocky. “You’re practically drooling.”
“I am not,” you retorted but you lacked confidence. Haechan grabbed a condom from the pocket of his jeans before he climbed back into the bed with his jeans unbuttoned.
“Why do you already have a condom with you?”
“Because I came prepared.”
“I thought you said you wanted to study.”
“Among other things,” he grinned against your lips and shushed down your next protest. “I will be studying your body, if you give me the chance.”
“That was so lame.” But even your insult couldn’t mask how nervous you sounded, especially when Haechan was settling himself between your legs again, fingers hooking around your underwear.
“Final chance if you want me to stop, Noona,” he said though it felt like it was almost impossible for him to stop. “I’m serious. After this, I won’t stop even if you cry.”
You swallowed your breath, heart thrumming loud against your chest. “Just do whatever you want,” you answered, almost too quiet for even your ears to hear but Haechan’s eyes gleamed in anticipation.
“That’s my girl,” he said, grabbing your thighs and spreading your legs apart before he leaned in to taste your mouth again. “I’ll be gentle, don’t worry.”
You realized you were holding your breath when Haechan wrapped the condom around his length and he had his eyes on you before he pushed in, asking with an unexpected low voice of his, “Ready?”
But he did not wait for an answer and you found yourself hissing when he pushed in, slowly at first and suddenly all at once. You twisted your fingers against the bed sheet, biting your lower lip because it hurt trying to adjust to his size and Haechan was a little bit lost in his own thoughts, muttering, “Fuck, you’re so tight,” under his breath, slightly throwing his head back out of pleasure. “Noona, you’re so fucking tight. Do you know that?”
He leaned closer to you, chest pressing against your breasts as he mouthed against the skin of your shoulder and slowly began to move his hips. “You all right?” He asked, making eye contact after a while and you shakily nodded your head, though the pain was still there. “Then I’ll move faster.”
You almost hit your head against your headboard when he suddenly picked up the pace, thrusting into you hard and deep; it knocked the breath out of your lungs. “Haecha—” you could barely speak at that point, arms clutching tight to his back, nails raking against his spine.
“Fuck,” he uttered between heavy breaths as he sat on his knees, holding both of your legs in the air, almost splitting your body in half and pushed deeper. “How the fuck do you feel this good, I—” he ended his sentence short, kissing your ankle instead, his eyes never leaving yours. “I wanna keep you—you’re so pretty like this, Noona—so fucking pretty—”
Haechan was always good with his words but at that time, he was making incoherent noises at the back of his throat, jumping from one sentence to another as if he was thinking about several things at once and he was running out of time.
“Haechan, wait—s-slow down—” You placed a hand on his shoulder, tears forming in your eyes. “You’re moving too fast—It hurts—”
Haechan was unfocused, but the last two words that slipped from your mouth brought him back to reality. He stopped almost immediately, looking at you with eyes searching your face. “Does it hurt?” He asked and you nodded, your body shaking a little bit. His gaze softened, cupping your cheek in his hand before he slowly pulled out of you. “I’m sorry, come here.” He cradled you into his arms, sitting down on the bed and helped you climb into his lap. “Maybe if we do it this way,” he said, wiping a tear from your eye with his thumb, “You’ll feel better?”
You could feel him twitching below you, the tip of his cock pressing against your folds. Haechan stayed true to his promise, he wasn’t going to stop even if you cried and that’s fine because you didn’t want him to.
“Take your time,” Haechan said, smiling gently in a way that was so not him that it made you feel weird. You could tell that he was trying to keep himself calm and composed even when all he wanted to do was to fuck you senselessly.
He pushed inside again, but let you take control of the pace this time. You slid down slowly, wincing slightly at the friction but it no longer hurt as much. Haechan was staring at you the entire time, unconsciously licking his lower lip when you slowly began to bounce on his lap.
“Kiss me,” he demanded and you did, sharing his breath and his moans, and tangling your hands in his hair. When he felt your body relaxing against him, he grabbed you by the waist and suddenly thrust forward, making you gasp and clenched your legs together.
“Fuck,” he moaned under his breath, hissing at how perfect you felt around him. “Noona, you can be mad at me as much as you want after this but for now let me just—” he groaned, furrowing his eyebrows at the feeling of him sliding in and out of you. “Just let me fuck you the way I want.”
And you found yourself thrown back to the bed with him thrusting into you deep and raw, faster and much more forceful than before. His nails were sinking into your skin from how hard he was holding you by your hips, keeping you still as he rocked his hips forward as hard and as fast as he liked. Expletives were falling from his lips between his low grunts and breathy moans and you couldn’t help but sob a little at how strong he was going. It felt painfully amazing, and you knew your body wasn’t making any sense, and it surprised you when your orgasm hit you like a wave, just a few seconds before he reached his. You honestly never thought that something so painful could also bring this much pleasure and you wanted to be mad at him but you couldn’t even find the energy to keep yourself up.
You fell down to the bed with Haechan toppling on top of you almost immediately, chest heaving fast as he tried to bring back some air into his lungs.
“Holy fucking hell,” he said, breathing heavily at the juncture of your neck. “That was so good. This is probably the first time I—”
“Haechannie.”
“Oh right, shit!” He immediately jumped away, giving you some space and gently placed his palm on the side of your face, checking your condition. “Are you okay? Are you hurt somewhere? Noona, I’m so sor—Yah!“
You pinched him by the nose, glowering at him with the little strength you have left and you didn’t let go even if he was tapping frantically against the back of your hand, asking for time-outs before you broke his bones.
Well, he said you could be mad at him all you want. It was time for him to face your wrath and it was not going to be pretty.

It wasn’t long until your name became a famous topic to discuss around the hallway too and it felt weird yet exciting at the same time, because it was true. You were dating Lee Haechan. And no matter how many times you had to convince yourself that it wasn’t solely your imagination, it still felt unreal.
Because Haechan was shining like the sun, and you couldn’t really shine as bright.
It suddenly felt like high school all over again when you’d once dated the Prom King, Jung Jaehyun, where people always talked behind your back, making comments about your face, or your body, or your attitude and how every aspect of your life did not fit the legendary high school prince that was Jung Jaehyun. It had gotten so much into your head that you had to break up with him, and hating yourself for over a year on how weak you’d become.
Dating Haechan was similar but different in the way he treated you. Jaehyun was too kind, not really saying anything back to anyone who said awful things about you and instead, just told you to not pay any mind about it. Haechan was much braver in saying the things that came to mind, so whenever he heard people talking trash about you, he would come up to them with words laced with venom. It was kind of childish, the way he got worked up rather easily, and even more childish when he continued to pout and fume about it even after a whole day had passed.
“Seriously, I said I’m fine,” you once said to him, entering his Hyundai after he opened the door for you.
“Well, I’m pissed off,” he said, unconsciously closing the door a bit too hard, making you flinch slightly. He walked to the other side of the car, sinking to his seat behind the wheel and exhaled loudly.
“Haechannie.”
“What?” His tone was still a bit harsh, but you knew he didn’t mean to shout at you.
“Thank you for defending me,” you softly said, reaching out for his hand. “But at this point, you’re gonna be mad with literally everyone and anger does not look pretty on you.”
“But aren’t you pissed, though? They literally have no business whatsoever to—”
“I know.” You squeezed his hand. “Look if it gets worse, we can always plan out something. There’s this perfect swamp I know outside of town.”
And Haechan couldn’t help but smile. Maybe he was right, that swamp thing could really be your thing. “You and your stupid swamp,” he muttered, shaking his head in amusement as he grabbed your face for a kiss. “Can we have sex at your place today?”
You sighed. It was always like this when it came to him.  “Sure, why not.”
Because certainly, you weren’t complaining.
