weird, vague, barely put together plot that might make no sense based only on the fact i have seen one episode but someone give me a thing where lucas becomes a companion or just forces his way onto the damn tardis or something and gets whatever doctor to take him back to dakar and i’m assuming don’t mess shit up laws apply to dr who also?? but anyways, he tries to change dakar and then series 9 in this au isn’t really him flipping his lid because of vaughn but he’s flipping his lid trying to get his life back bc of the things that have changed (my canon, lucas’ lucas north canon).

Getting your nipples pierced to surprise Binnie.
“It’s gonna be six months until we see each other again.” Soobin pouts, shoving his face in your tits. “I’m gonna miss my perfect girl and her perfect tits.”
“It’ll fly by like last time.” You giggle, petting his hair.
“Soobin.” Yeonjun yells from outside your shared apartment. “It’s time to go!”
“Bye honey.” Soobin looks like he’s being sent off to war, tears in his eyes as he kisses you goodbye. “I love you.”
“Don’t be a baby, Bin, I’ll be here when you get back, I love you.”
Your appointment is later that day, a girl with tattoos going up her whole body grinning as she sets up her station. “Hell of a first piercing.” She laughs, handing you the consent form. You’re so shaky you can barely scribble your signature. “It’s gonna hurt.” She mumbles snorting when you jump at the marker against your skin. “This look good?”
“I think so?” You look at your reflection in the mirror, trying to imagine two silver balls in place of the purple sharpie. “Yeah, looks great.”
“Ok.” She lays you back down. “On the count of three, one, two, th-“ You think you black out, a ringing in your ears as she smiles down at you. “Ready for number two?”
“Mhm..” You whine, just bite the bullet, it can’t be as bad as the fir- “Fuck, fuck me.” You groan, biting at your hand.
“Just one more second to get the jewelry in.” The piecer pats your shoulder as tears fall down your cheeks. “You’re braver than me.” She laughs as you struggle to sit up. “Look, it’s hot.” You don’t know what you’re expecting… blood? redness? any sign of the pain you’re still experiencing. No, just two little pieces of silver. “Wanna put your shirt back on?”
“Uh, sure.” You gasp at the shocks of pain as your shirt grazes against your sensitive new piercings. “You think they’ll be healed in six months?”
“Sure thing, just follow your care instructions, call me if you think anything is off.”
You spend the next six months diligently cleaning your piercings and desperately avoiding Soobin and his calls. He’s a perv to his core, calling you every night and begging to see your “pretty tits.” You get so antsy about ruining the surprise you start ignoring his calls all together and sending him old pictures when he asks for one.
So when he gets home Soobin is miffed, huffing and puffing on the car ride to your apartment, throwing open your front door. It all melts away when you’re waiting for him in a pretty little dress and his favorite meal on the table for him but he doesn’t let you know, shrugging you off and ignoring your questions about the tour.
“I’ll run you a bath..” You pout but as soon as you get up his hands are on you.
“I was just playing.” Soobin mumbles, grabbing onto your boobs. “Just upset you tried to keep my favorite things away from me.”
“It’s because I have a surprise.” You whine as your fiance slips his hands under your dress, pulling the fabric down under your boobs. His fingers pause, mind racing as he lightly traces your nipple.
“Somethins’ new.” Soobin slurs, kissing your shoulder. “Turn around for me baby.” His eyes widen when you do, your boobs right in face- two silver balls framing each pretty nipple. “Oh!”
“They’re still sensitive.” You mumble, grabbing onto his shoulder. “But- do you like them?”
Soobin reaches up and rolls one in between his long fingers, smiling up at you when you cry out. “Perfect.” He spreads your tits apart and kisses the skin in between them, “Didn't know your tits could get better, always surprising me.” He bites into the flesh of your boob and sucks until he’s satisfied, a dark purple mark blooming where his mouth was. “Lemme know how this feels.”
Your legs shake when Soobin pulls your nipple in your mouth, the piercings making the sensation against your already sensitive skin seem almost unbearable. “It’s too much- binnie!” You whine pushing on his shoulders. “They’re- They’re-“ You cry when he pinches the other one “Sens-“ You’re so shaky you can barely keep yourself upright, pulling on Soobins hair to try and pull him off of you.
You’re granted a brief pause when Soobin pulls away to switch the one in his mouth. “I wanna see if you can cum just from this.” He laughs, biting into your sensitive flesh.
Soobin continues his assault, sucking on and biting at your poor nipples until you’re crying from the stimulation, and you’re so close- your neglected cunt dripping as he keeps you teetering on the edge of an orgasm. “Please- Soobin- it’s too much- too much.” You can barely get it out- you just need one more push.
“Hurry up and cum, honey, so I can fuck you like you want.” Soobin drops one of his hands, digging the pad of his middle and ring fingers into your clit. It’s enough to push you over, your voice ringing out as you cum all over his fingers. Your release drips down your legs as you fall against Soobin’s chest, struggling to catch your breath.
Your fiance doesn’t give you any time to recuperate, pushing you against the back of your couch. “I missed your pretty cunt.” He smiles, pulling one of your legs upwards, pressing it against the couch, your other foot barely able to touch the ground. “Gonna fuck you until you can’t breathe.” He groans, finally taking his dick out from his sweats.
It won’t take long. You still haven’t calmed down from your first orgasm and Soobin’s dick feels so good filling you inch by inch you almost cum when he bottoms out. It’s been so long- that’s what you tell yourself- it’s been too long of course you’re this sensitive. “It’s so big.” You drool, rolling your hips against Soobin to try and get off.
“Poor pussy must’ve missed me too.” He pushes your hip into the furniture, using it as leverage to fuck into you as deep as he can. “She’s swallowing me whole.”
Soobin uses his thumb to draw circles against your clit and starts mouthing at your tits again, the stimulation too much after your first orgasm. “I’m- I’m gonna cum!” You squeal. “Cum- Binnie- I’m cumming!”
“Go ahead, hun, cum all you want, it’s your reward for your pretty little surprise.” You can feel Soobin smile against your boob. “That’s right- cum all over me.” He groans as you clamp around his dick, your head spinning as you tumble into another orgasm. “That’s it, ‘s good right- want another one?”
“No! Too much- too much-“ Soobin doesn’t listen- he never listens- his hips slamming against yours hard enough to push your couch forward, your body slipping down the poor piece of furniture.
It doesn’t stop his torment, you don’t think anything could. Soobin’s strong arms flex as he hooks them under your knees, cradling you, barely missing a beat as he continues to fuck up into you. “Let me cum inside of you, you will right?” You nod weakly, your head lolling to the side. “Of course you will.” Soobin cums so much, filling you up to the brim and sending you crashing into a third orgasm, leaving you completely worn out in his arms. “Round two in the bath?” He laughs, kissing your temple.

i don’t understand erik’s intention behind treasure and porter having this serious conversation about wanting to get to know each other on a deeper level than just sex, and then having their very next audio be them getting handsy on a ferris wheel. like…
in porter’s latest video we definitely see parts of him opening up to treasure and them having little moments like when he says, “i can see you,” or him being overall more playful than we’ve seen him be in previous audios. it’s sweet but it all feels like it’s just building up to the sexual content later in the video. i get it, its “hot boi summer” and erik’s been doing this on his channel for a while now, but why not pick a different couple to showcase? why them? let’s flesh out treasure’s character more or have porter face some consequences of his past, literally anything but having porter bite them on a ferris wheel would’ve been good. sometimes i wish erik would tone it down with the sexy stuff. there’s other ways to write intimacy then just sex.
i think it would’ve been more impactful for the story if the video would’ve ended with them just talking. maybe porter tells treasure about magic and the rest of the supernatural world, they freak out a bit, but he promises to protect them. or treasure opens up about feeling lonely around their friends and that’s something porter knows all too well, to be surrounded by others and not feel seen. there were so many routes erik could’ve taken but all were brushed over because horny, sex, blah blah blah
TLDR; don't let sex overshadow good storytelling

FROSTTALE: Master Post
Frosttale is an au I made over two years ago now, and quite a few things have changed since i made the original concept on discord. At this point nearly every character has a finalized design and the story is complete, so i think its time i made it more mainstream!!!
Opening Cutscene:
Long ago, two races ruled over earth: humans and monsters
One day tragedy struck, a blizzard worse than any before it struck the human village and the humans believed the monsters to be the cause.
The humans fought the monsters, and sealed them into a cave, using magic to curse them with eternal cold
Many monsters suffered, and more died.
PRESENT DAY:
Legend has it that a furnace powered by seven human souls could stop the winter and break the ice barrier that seals them underground
MT. EVEREST, 202X
They say those who climb this mountain may never return.
(Thingy of chara falling into the underground blah blah blah game starts)
Ok so time for the changes!!!
this au centers around everything being cold, duh.
The most major change is that undyne is dead due to the extreme temperatures, and that drives nearly every other change in the au.
Alphys found her goop stuff after she died, scooped it up and saved it. Since then has been secretly using the royal scientist funds not for technological development but in an attempt to revive undyne.
One day, papyrus is walking around in waterfall, looking for undyne in a hope that somehow, he could find her (he doesn’t know that she’s dead, sans told him she’s just missing). Alphys sees him, and sees an opportunity (he has a similar body shape to undyne), she persuades him to come to the lab, then she knocks him out cold (see what I did there)
Papyrus wakes up a few hours later tied to a table and has a couple of wires and containers hooked up to him, most notably two labeled “remains” and “DT”
Due to the fact that he’s tied down papyrus is stuck there.
A few minutes later Alphys walks into the room and tells him that he will be ok, and tells him that if the procedure works, papyrus can be part of the royal guard, when papyrus asks what the procedure is, Alphys doesn’t answer.
Slowly, papyrus goes back to sleep, and the vials are all injected into him.
Once he wakes up again, he is now in a bed in a room that is similar to undynes, and is wearing a suit of armor also similar to undynes clothing.
Alphys walks in and tells papyrus that she cannot tell him where he is, and that he will stay here for the next few months.
Over the next few months papyrus is nurtured by Alphys, but notices something, Alphys is getting increasingly more stressed, and is now preforming daily checkups on him, and soon papyrus starts to notice something else.
Flesh.
Papyrus is growing flesh on his bones.
Flesh with scales.
And something else, papyrus feels much more determined and stronger in general, along with the sudden ability to be able to summon and throw spears as well as bones now.
However, the flesh doesn’t completely cover him, only parts of his limbs and face. He also loses vision in his left eye and needs an eyepatch, soon the changes stop.
Alphys realizes that her attempt at bringing undyne has failed and slowly realizes what she has put this innocent monster through. she leaves the lab and takes after her mentor, jumping into the core and killing herself.
Alphys has created Papyryne (name is a wip lmao).
Papyryne never found the key to leave the true lab, and has turned to be the caretaker of the other amalgamates, He has a lot of physical traits of undyne, while keeping most of the personality of papyrus, meaning he is now actually able to do the good deeds he once wanted to do. He makes the true lab look nicer, and treats the amalgamates like family
During all those shenanigans Sans has become very very lonely and quite depressed. He looks for papyrus everyday and can’t find him. He spends most of his time in his house or the judgement hall, or at least, he did.
Sans does end up meeting toriel, and in fact is at the door when you fight her, However sans never made his promise to not kill a human to toriel, as he feels that if there is an opportunity to melt the ice, he should take it.
After you leave the ruins, sans will have run away and back to his house. As you go through Snowdin, all of papyrus’ puzzles are completely frozen over and easily passable, and there are no monster encounters.
When you reach snowdin, no one is there either, they all either left or died, sans and papyrus, being skeletons, are the only ones who were able to survive the cold.
The river is completely frozen solid, and the ice cube machine is backed up with ice. When you reach the area where you would normally fight papyrus, sans will sneak up on you and start a battle.
The battle is different depending on weather you killed toriel or not. If you haven’t, sans is simply fighting you out of obligation, and the fight is very easy. After a few turns of acting and sparing, sans starts to cry a little. He doesn’t want to kill anyone, stating the underground has lost enough, and spares you. If you attack, the screen turns black and then you go back to the overworld. no sans in sight. If you do not attack, sans will not say anything, and go back to his house.
If you did kill toriel, the fight is a bit harder, but after a few turns, sans will run away regardless of what you do to him.
Entering waterfall, everything is frozen over, and again there is no life to be seen. There are two places of intrest, the old tem village (the new one will be mentioned later) where you can grab some nice items, and the village.
Upon entering the main area (the one with the save point and houses) you will encounter all three ghost characters, alphys was too obessed with reviving undyne to build mettaton, and undyne wasnt alive to need a training dummy (mad mew mew still happens post game btw).
Mad dummy forces the other two to attack you, napstablook being shy and mettaton being generally depressed (due to lack of body) dont really care too much, but fight you for their cousin anyways.
At the end of waterfall, they fight you one at a time (mirroring the multiple undyne fight segments). You can spare them by promising MTT and Mad Dummy that youll get them bodies (witch then becomes a pacifist quest), and letting blooky show you dapper blook.
Entering hotland youll notice everything is mostly ashen and gray, most of the lava having been turned to stone. You begin by passing through alphys's lab (nothing happens there... yet) and making your way to where MTT resort would have been, youll notice that as you enter hotland (now called "The Refuge" by most monsters) you can encounter monsters from anywhere in the previous areas.
Approaching the MTT resort location, youll instead find a bustling town called "New Snowdin", featuring Grillbys 2, a closed down nice cream stand, a royal guard sign up center, and... a massive cemetary.
In the cemetary youll find graves for muffet and lesser dog, as well as memorials for alphys, sans, and papyrus (the latter two being presumed dead by the public)
When attempting to enter the core, the door will be locked and have a sign saying "ROYAL GUARD ONLY", promting you to visit the sign up center.
You can sign up to the royal guard and enter the core, eventually getting on the elevator to the castle.
When you reach the top, youll be met by a hill, climbing on top of it youll find sans, he will explain that youre standing on top of the judgment hall, its been covered in snow
He says that for a long time, monsters have hated the king for his "wait out the humans" idea, and activley tried to revolt, promting the closing of the core to the public. He says that you are the final human needed, and sadly, you must die.
He then sends you off to asgore.
When you arrive, asgore brings you in for tea, sitting down with you in front of a large unpowered furnace with seven heart shaped slots, and explaining youre the first person willing to do so in quite some time.
He then escorts you to the barrier, and the fight begins. During the fight, your hp will drain very slowly due to the proximity of the barrier, being that it is what emmits the cold.
At the end, he reaches his final bit of hp, and then does something drastic.
You may have noticed a lack of flowey while reading this and thats because, well, he doesnt exist. flowers dont grow in these temperatures, and even if they could, alphys wouldnt have made him.
Asgore turns his back, and swings his trident, destroying the containers of souls, destroying them.
A second phase begins, he is now much powerful and has much more health, but eventually soul segments similar to those omega flowey has occur, and you can eventually defeat him.
You are then given the option to kill or spare him, if you kill, you recive the six souls and can break the barrier, if you spare, he takes you in as his own, and the game ends with you going to sleep in his castle.
This means that yes, there is no true pacifist run (but there is something similar...)
(Almost) PACIFIST EXCLUSIVE EVENTS:
If you have spared everyone, the elevator to the hill will collapse, bringing you to the true lab, where you can meet papyryne, he will treat you with kindness... at first.
He eagarly shows you around the lab, introducing you the amalgamates who he has lovingly named Puppy, Birdy, Snowy, Goopy, and Whispy.
However, as he shows you around youll begin to notice times where the font he is speaking in changes, and he becomes more agressive.
You can see the following entries on the walls:
Entry 1:
I found what I believe to be undynes remains today, something’s off though, it isn’t dust… it’s goop
Entry 2:
I’ve stored her remains down here, I plan to begin doing tests on it, seeing how she could have possibly gained DETERMINATION
Entry 3:
The DT extractor broke today, it will be a while untill it is fixed
Entry 4:
The memory heads keep looking around my shelf, spouting nonsense like “still there” or “don’t forget”
Entry 5:
The DT extractor is up and running again, I’m preforming some diagnostics, then tests begin tomorrow
Entry 6:
This is impossible
Entry 7:
I’ve made a discovery, in undynes remains, although there is only a fragment… her SOUL… is still there.
Entry 8:
The tests have been stopped, I’m attempting to recover some old files about the amalgamates
Entry 9:
Just as I thought, the records show that monster souls, when in their weakened state, can fuze, the most dominant soul taking the consciousness
Entry 10:
I took a small portion on undynes remains today and gave it to one of the amalgamates in their food, so far, nothing has happened
Entry 11:
It’s no problem, I simply need a bigger sample size, and perhaps a more stable monster with a complete soul, unlike the amalgamates
Entry 12:
I found a shyren today, I’ve lured it here and and captured it, I will be preforming the same experiment I did with the amalgamate
Entry 13:
Nothing is happening
Entry 14:
The shyren lost Vision in one eye today, though I am not sure if this is related to the experiment
Entry 15:
The shyren has been knocked out for 3 days now, I’ve hidden her body in the bathroom
Entry 16: I beleive I have found a new candidate for an experiment, this next experiment could be very very interesting.
As you are about to leave with him, freeing him from the lab, undyne takes over and he fights you. the fight is difficult by interchanging blue and green soul mechanics, the final attack using a combination of both.
You are forced to spare, as you cant damage him, and his fit of rage will end, he then will leave the lab with you and youll fast travel back to snowdin, reuniting him with sans.
You can then go back to the elevator and everything else will play out the same, with some additional sans dialouge at the end.
GENO EXCLUSIVE EVENTS:
You have to do like. a shit ton of grinding in hotland. You also have to do the ghost quests so you can kill them.
You reach level 14 and thats the highest you can get, you then take the elevator.
Once you reach the hill, you meet sans. He doesnt say anything, and a fight begins.
"it was a nice day today"
"can you see the snow sparkling in the light?"
"..."
"of course not"
"no one like you would stop to appreciate that"
"it was already bad down here, why did you have to make it worse"
"..."
"not much of a talker..?"
"me neither"
"but..."
"heres the thing"
"you see... king asgore needs one more soul"
"and youve got a nice one ripe for the taking"
"so... heres what im going to do"
"i am going to fight you"
"and i wont stop..."
"...UNTIL HELL FREEZES OVER"
then you fight, and at the end a similar cutscene to the one in UT will play, exept he doesnt ask papyrus if he wants anything.
you then go to asgore, and everything will play out as normal, exept you arent allowed to spare him.
EPILOUGE:
Holy fuck, that took so long to write. pleasepleaseplease if you have any questions feel free to ask, and i dont usually ask but if you liked it please reblog, i spent a lot of time on this.
ill be posting designs soon, and fanart would be much appreciated!!

if someone (me) wants to write (or roleplay) a character with Antisocial Personality Disorder, how do you think they should do it? What are questions that can be asked about the character in order to develop or flesh them out more (like, "how does your character act in blah blah situation")? And do you have any books/excerpts/short stories that have a character with ASPD that you can recommend? Your blog and many others' blog really helped me in understanding how ASPD works, which ends up in me being able to develop this character more. However, I'm still not sure how to actually really write in this character's perspective, mainly because I still want to understand the littler details. I really just don't want to accidentally write something that ends up not being true lol IG if it helps, my character w/ ASPD is very apathetic and he believes that showing emotions is weakness, so he always has a poker face.
Holy fuck I completely forgot I had this blog LMAOO My bad. Anyways.
First off, as a writer, I always try to avoid giving my characters any labels of a disorder especially a personality disorder, cuz it feels cheap. Its easy to just throw a label on them and call it a day, but its harder to write them in a way where they would be diagnosed with ASPD yknow?
Like for example, you can say a character has anxiety, and boom, theres a new trait. But are you able to show this in your character without using the word "anxiety"? With ASPD, or any personality disorder, you need to be able to show this characters habits and mindsets and behaviours without having to use the label "ASPD".
I think the best representation of a character with ASPD I have seen in Dr. House from House MD. I was absolutely amazed by how much I could relate and how accurate it was to how I experience, and have seen others act, with ASPD. And the best part is that they don't even say he has ASPD until way later in the show, but that doesn't change a single thing about how he has acted up until that point.
The main thing about cluster B personality disorders is that there is a maladaptive and dysfunctional way of thinking and acting ingrained into this person. And the way they view things and behave actively causes them issues in their relationships, social settings, work, etc. It differs wildly for everyone though, but the one thing that is pretty much the same for everyone with ASPD is that their core fear is being controlled, and they value self-preservation above everything else. It's them against the world, and they are constantly grasping for power, control, and social dominance in order to protect themselves.
So some questions you can ask about your character is:
1. How do they experience empathy and remorse? ASPD is known to be a disregard for others and rules that actively causes issues in their life. In what ways do they disregard others feelings/rights, and do they feel bad about this? If they do feel remorse, what overrides this to make them keep acting in anti-social ways?
2. ASPD is a disorder. It causes a lot of issues in a persons life, especially with the law, authority, and hurting peoples feelings. In what ways does your character suffer from their behaviour and ways they think/view the world?
3. How do they view the world? What do they value the most? What are they willing to do to protect themselves, and how do they respond to perceived threats? ASPD is known for reactive aggression, where they will respond with hostility at a perceived threat (even if there wasn't actually one, they often take ambiguous remarks as hostility)
4. ASPD symptoms must have also been present in childhood (symptoms of conduct disorder shown before the age of 15). What was your character like as a kid? What caused them to act out? Who were the primary influences in their development, and how did that influence who they are today/how they think?
Remember that people with ASPD are often rude, harsh, callous, insensitive, and lack a proper moral code. They may act hostile towards anything that feels like control, especially being told what to do, or having rules to follow, including social norms like morality, political correctness, manners, and empathy. They often look out for themselves before they even think about looking out for others, and they are willing to do anything and put anyone down or manipulate a situation to protect themselves.
People with ASPD are often good at making excuses for themselves and avoid punishment for their actions, or completely disregard consequences and repeat their mistakes over and over again. This is partially due to a mindset of "you can't tell me what to do/you can't control me/fuck you". There is a lot of defiance.
And of course please remember that ASPD is a spectrum, and there are mild to extreme cases, and it presents differently in everyone. The main thing is that it causes distress and dysfunction in the persons relationships and life because of their disregard for rules and others. And that they fear being controlled, and value self-preservation.
And while people with ASPD are usually insensitive assholes (love ya), we also are people. We are human beings, not problems. We are human beings, not pricks. So make sure to write your character with hobbies and interests and redeemable traits and with positive qualities as well. Dont have their entire character written revolving around the idea of ASPD. People are complex, and there is much more to someone than their disordered behaviour/mindsets.
Also what you said about your character being very apathetic, you could tie that in to a lack of care/disregard for others which Im sure you were already planning on doing. But also remember that ASPD isn't just a quiet, apathetic, emotionless robot disorder. In reality, ASPD is pretty loud. Its angry, and destructive, and aggressive. Cluster B PDs are classified as emotionally unstable and erratic, and ASPD is no different. So make sure you remember that while he may not care about others, apathy/lacking empathy isn't a criteria for ASPD (though its heavily correlated). Check out the DSM-5 criteria and make sure your character qualifies. Also, you don't get diagnosed with ASPD just cuz you think antisocial thoughts. You get diagnosed cuz of the way you behave and interact with others/the world, and the problems that causes you. Most people with ASPD will be diagnosed through the legal system. So make sure you show the antisocial tendencies of your character, as I mentioned before with separating them from the label.
I hope this helped a bit, mb for the late ass response LMAO Good luck

Hiii!! I love your gingerfucker series but I’m mildly confused on the timeline of it? Anyway you could jot it down for me ? (Unless it’s already in order on your Masterlist, then you can ignore me) my mind needs a set order of things for it to make sense haha
Also… love your 4th floor fic too!!
Hi!! So I upload them out of order, but I do put them in story order on my masterlist, but I can give a brief timeline.
they meet when they're younger - there's no 'official' first meeting bc they see each other every so often at high lord meetings and such. They don't really interact too much until after Rhys' father dies because Rhys lets her have more of a presence in his court, and she and Eris bicker a shit ton. It feels like arguments to everyone else, but to them it feels slightly different but they don't put too much thought into it bc ew
The night Rhys' mother and their other sister die, she was there and her wings are cut off, however she was still alive so Tamlin actually wants to drop her off with Rhys, but she keeps muttering about Eris so he takes her there instead (if this is confusing, I have an entire plot planned out and a draft <3). Tamlin drops her off there, begging Eris to do something. Seeing Tamlin with her causes the bond to snap for Eris, so he and his mother spend the night trying to keep her alive while Tamlin goes and tries to figure things out in Spring. Eris drops her off in the woods so Az can find her, so she goes back to Night unaware that Eris took care of her and that they're mates
this part's murky bc I haven't fleshed it out but eventually she figures it out, they sneak around for decades. They even sneakily accept the bond (posted) and have a secret mating ceremony (drafted)
one day she's sloppy and Rhys finds their correspondence and kicks her out of Night, revoking her title - she goes to Autumn (posted), and Eris immediately kills Beron (drafted)
Eris is High Lord, she becomes pregnant about a year later, which causes her and Rhys to reconnect tentatively. After Atlas is born, she goes to Night and she and Rhys fight and she leaves early with Atlas and gets kidnapped (drafted)
blah blah blah she gets home, eventually she becomes High Lady (she wants to wait to 1) be reconnected with her family and 2) know Autumn better bc it is a mystery to her)
There's a drafted fic of baby Atlas and them going to Summer and vacationing
then she has Leif when Atlas is about 3, and then when Leif is about two she has the twins, Aster and Hestia.
Hopefully that helps! I'm planning a more in-depth timeline later on (a gingerfucker week surprise mayhaps)

Ok, I used 'Mojang' in place of 'god' in an rp yesterday and realized I never really talked about my god headcannons in Minecraft so... here that is! This is just a ramble, might format a proper post later.
Mojang exists as a god for players, they are the ones who created them after all. They exist as a concept, never seen. Sometimes they just randomly send players pieces of paper like "hey here's 4 mobs, choose one :)" but aside from that there's literally no proof they exist.
The Void also exists as a living entity, it feeds off of players - hence why they die when they fall into it. Voidbeings do not die in the void and view it as a godly figure. I have so much void lore, please ask me about void lore, I literally have a custom species of voidbeing based on the concept of the void feeding off player code.
Watchers, Listeners, and Speakers are demi gods - they have a lot of power, but they do not have nearly as much as Mojang or the Void. I feel like they were originally players, more specifically admins and mods, but grew hungry for power/destruction/whatever and eventually made lil factions and gained powers blah blah blah idk I could go on and on about this but it's not very fleshed out.
There are other god-like beings but none of them have enough power for me to really mention... so eh, lmk if you wanna hear my thoughts on the ender dragon, wither, warden, etc etc.
Also this is all canon to Of Songbirds and Watchers (bet you thought that project was dead, it isn't. I'm just very slow and procrastinating.)

[[You know I'd actually argue that Red is one of the most fleshed out protagonists despite being...a protagonist. For the most part protagonists are generally blank slates, but gen 2 actually changes this entirely, being that it was meant to be a direct sequel to the first gen.
In gen 1 you're presented with the idea that you are the protagonist, and this is an RPG and blah blah blah get into character name your rival, etc--
But upon entering gen 2, you're met with the fact that the gen 1 player character is a real character in that world. You also see little seedlings of this with Black/White 2, because the previous player character is mentioned in passing--however, it's never by name, and it's never explicitly stated what you're doing. I'm sure there were technical and story reasons for doing this, but at the same time, Red is defined as a real, separate character.
Red canonically goes to Mt. Silver. Blue is canonically beaten up about being beaten by Red, and misses him dearly. Red's mother, if I recall, even talks about how she misses her son. Red is directly mentioned as a character on his own despite representing the player character in gen 1.
Of course, you could say that for technical reasons they had to refer to the player character as his official name, the same goes for the rival, but I believe this was deliberate, again, the B/W protagonist is not given an official name and is mentioned in passing. Meeting them is not part of your mission. You the player, in gen 2, are presented with one last mission: go find Red. The previous player character is actively involved in the story.
Moreover, he is one of the only protagonists with multiple appearances in later installations of the series. His first true appearance after everything is at the PWT. He is the ONLY player champion mentioned. None of the other player characters make an appearance. I would argue that at this point, he is his own character. You could make even MORE of an argument for that when he and Blue appear in Alola; he is given his own personality, even if it's decidedly quiet.
Or maybe he's just there to exist as a silly little callback to older fans, that might be more likely.
Despite that I would argue that not only is he the most fleshed out "protagonist", but that in gen 1 you aren't playing as yourself, nor an avatar of yourself. You're playing as Red, and you're merely an observer with some choice in his decision-making. I believe the naming choice is provided as a means to get the player invested and interested--to develop a personal connection with the character you're playing as.
i love this guy .

Havik Rant + Wasted Plotential and Theory
Tumblr media
Warning: This is a long post, so read if you have the time.
I love Havik in the 3d era, and I guess it's because there's so little of him that sets him up for mystery, but I mainly love his face. The way half his face is ridden of flesh and his eyes glow as if he's some kind of Skeletor adjacent creature. I always look at him and go "How did it get to this point?", but in a way where I'm laughing about it, 'cause what did bro do to his face?
I hope Titan Havik will be a great break from the cartoonish evil that is Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung, Quan Chi and the others. (Don't get me wrong with Shang Tsung, I love him, but his belief system is equivalent to a power ranger villain. He's basically Valtor if he was successful. I'm not talking about MK1 Shang btw.)
I also can't picture Havik working with or for villains like Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung, and Shinnok. Havik wants to spread chaos, yes, but I don't think he views this as enslavement and feeding off misery. Another thing I'd like to note is his voice and delivery, courtesy of George C. Cole. Havik is calm, patient and almost kind. Shao Kahn actively sounds dominant, Shang Tsung is calm but cruel and impatient, with Quan Chi being condescending.
In the small glimpses that I've seen Havik through the later games (before MK1) he seems like a pretty chill guy. Now get this, Chaos is his way of life because that's the world he comes from. Chaos is basically the equivalent of freedom, so Havik wants to share that freedom. In Deceptions Konquest mode he describes water in a way you only expect from a scholar with a love and sense for nature, and I interpreted this as him believing everything should go naturally. In a Christian perspective, humans are naturally evil, and it's in our nature to be attracted to wicked things. Havik wants us to embrace who we are, and our deep desires.
In Noob Saibot's MK9 ending he meets Havik and shares an 'understanding' with him. Havik helps him with taking over the Netherealm before saying goodbye and returning to the Chaosrealm, no back stabbing or anything. Next there's Joker's ending in MK11, and we all know how Joker is. But there's also Mileena (before NRS let fans bully them into making her dlc), whose bloodlust is fuelled by her Tarkatan blood, a trait she cannot help because it's instinctual. Finally, in MK: Deception's Konquest mode he agrees to train Shujinko if Shujinko helps him in return, and he does but in his own way. Experience instead of practice. Havik doesn't come off as evil but chaotic neutral.
Wasted Plotential
I try not to complain about anything these days because I know NRS are gonna disappoint us anyways, but if I was to really complain about things then I'll start with the storymode, and with the previous games.
MKX could've just been about Sub Zero and Scorpion finding out about Quan Chi and stopping Shinnok. How? Idk, Johnny uses the amulet to trap Shinnok, the Special Forces find Sektor's files and reveal them to Scorpion, who gets his revenge and yada yada. Helps them free Sub Zero and Jax, blah blah.
Scorpion defeating Shinnok is more believable since he's stronger and cooler (sorry Johnny), and has more familiarity with the Neatherealm. (What was the point of building up Johnny just to nerf him in MK11?)
Johnny and Sonya get divorced earlier on because of their differing views on the world (and parenting), so Cassie becomes a UFC fighter or a pro wrestler (as a reference to Johnny's quote in his MK9 chapter about possibly winning a belt in the tournament). I remember coming up with an idea where Jacqui leaves the Special Forces and gets trained by the Shirai-Ryu, but saw an AU fanart design where she was trained by the Lin Kuei, which sounds so much better since it separates her from Takeda. Jacqui shares strong ideals with her father but his overbearing reluctance caused her to be more rebellious and find another way to defend Earthrealm without him possibly intercepting. Instead of being a Jax variant she shares more similarity to Human Cyrax (technology + ninjutsu assassination), and that can introduce a little beef with Frost and have them both deliver lines that feel more personal since they have the same teacher, but have different morals that make them butt heads. Johnny ends up leading the Kombat kids with the Wu Shi instead of the Special Forces, edging Sonya to check on Cassie more often by trying to be involved with their missions. (During MK9 Johnny was glued to Raiden's side and his focus was more on the tournament than on Sonya. After Cyrax defeats him it's Raiden that checks on him.) Instead of Cassie saving the day, have Scorpion save the day because Shinnok is Quan Chi's master, and Scorpion needs to fix his mess. Also because Scorpion would have better control with his powers and has more experience.
The next game can introduce Havik, with the chaos happening in small ways at first, like trees slowly decaying and technology acting against them. Havik is a lesser evil than Shao Kahn, Quan Chi and Shinnok, but he's nothing Scorpion or Sub Zero have handled before since he's less predictable and isn't paranoid about someone threatening his power. Bro just wants to spread some joy and laughter (sarcasm). I'm pretty sure Havik wouldn't even have an army, and I doubt his minions will be anything like the aggressive jobbers that are seen in Outworld. With Shao Kahn it's power and being served, but with Havik it would be everyone serves each other, meaning they will inflict pain on each other and themselves = This game can be about the heroes and villains turning on themselves, by being more honest and less co-operative.
The Special Forces start being wary of the Wu Shi, Sonya interrogates Dark Raiden on information he could be withholding about the realms, Raiden counters back with how she is trying to enlist the Kombat kids behind his back when they are already content with their current positions.
Frost has stolen Sektor's body parts from the Special Forces, and plans to cyberise herself with them. Jacqui and Cassie are sent to stop Frost's cyber initiation plans. Cassie defeats Frost, but Jacqui has the need to rehabilitate her, which sets her at odds with Cassie who doesn't believe Frost is worthy of it, and that they must follow Raiden's orders.
Noob Saibot is working under revenant Liu Kang, but just like his MK9 ending, he starts plotting against him and the other revenants. Noob confronts Hanzo about his loyalty to Quan Chi, and how Hanzo worked with him even after Noob was killed. Noob's revenge is forcing Hanzo to shift between himself and Scorpion, ensuring that the Lin Kuei and Shirai-Ryu will never have peace with Hanzo continuously reliving the past and trying to kill Sub Zero.
Kung Lao reports that the head of Shinnok is missing, and Liu Kang accuses Kung Lao of having something to do with it, and so the revenants turn on themselves. A civil war begins in Neatherealm.
Hotaru meets up with the heroes and tells them that Havik is behind their plight, and offers Seidos help if Earthrealm helps them with the resistance in Seido. Kung Jin and Takeda are sent to aid and they witness the injustice and lunacy of Seidos rules. Kung Jin being Kung Jin speaks against this, and Hotaru has a problem with it, Takeda tries his best to keep the peace. Kung Jin defeats Darrius, Dairou and whatever. Although Hotaru keeps his word about the help thing, he is overbearing when it comes to the rules and their strategy, even getting in the way of the Special Forces.
Skarlet teams up with Tanya to find Mileena's soul (Because why not? They're sisters). Ermac doesn't have it, so they must find it through the Neatherealm. They meet Noob, who admits that he consumed it, but points out the location of the Flesh Pits for a calling of clues. Skarlet combines her power with Noob's to give life to the clones encased in glass (blood + shadow). The clones unleash chaos throughout Outworld, but Skarlet is not finished in her revenge.
Johnny reveals to Dairou that Darrius is behind his family's murder, and sets him free to let him get revenge. Sonya argues that he's made a terrible mistake, but Johnny says that she let Kano live and how that keeps screwing everyone over.
Johnny decides to get a drink at a bar, and Havik will show up, calm and collected. Johnny compliments his costume, and Havik expresses that his fake-ness is an interesting weapon.
I don't know what else.
Theory
I think Havik's hero equivalent would be Johnny Cage, which is where he would come in as the hero instead of defeating a former elder god. Havik isn't Godlike, I'd say his power level is identical to Edenian/Outworld, and if Sonya can handle defeating Kitana and Jade at the same time, then Johnny can handle his own against Havik. Just like Havik, Johnny has a separation from the other heroes concerning his traits and/or beliefs, even sometimes clashing with Cassie, who is always noted to be much like him in personality. Johnny has an easy going attitude that pisses off just about everyone around him, to the point . I think he would be the first to pick up on the odd energy surrounding everyone.
First off he likes to give everyone a nickname, much to their displeasure. Very adamant on giving them those names, but Havik would arguably (probably) be more accepting. I'm quite certain that Havik's name is a title given to him or a name he's made up himself. There are some fans who speculate that he doesn't even have a name given at birth and made up 'Havik' to be his name, suggesting that the name is somewhat earned through experience.
Chaosrealm doesn't have a real name, like Edenia and Seido, it's simply called Chaosrealm. They don't have a name for themselves, simply a representation of what they embody.
"Grandmaster Blueberry Ice, eh?"
"Only Johnny Cage may use that name and live."
Johnny's humour is fuelled by his insensitivity, even while fighting on the side of good he is self-serving, superficial and has a self confidence that almost everyone is eager to stomp on (he's basically a normal person). Even when he clearly doesn't mean to be insensitive (speaking the truth or what's on his mind), people still get offended by what he's said and express some form of aggression. Hell, Bi Han kicked the hell out of him just for touching his arm in MK1.
Now I'm going to get really technical here: In MK11 Skarlet was present and you could tell she was a stand-in for Mileena, which is shown in her sibling rivalry with Kitana. Now let's say Joker was a stand-in for Havik, and in his ending he voices his displeasure about the roster "But these nincompoops? They didn't really get me. Not even that pretty boy, Ninja Mine. Goodnight, sweet Prince!" meaning Joker saw some potential in Johnny Cage. Saw something that suggested that they are similar.
Johnny Cage's humour aside, there has to be something else.
Now let's get into Johnny's MK9 ending: Johnny starts to have spasms where a burst of energy would escape him and destroy everything around him, so he is sent to Seido to learn how to better control it.
Next, to Havik and Johnny's Armageddon endings: Johnny becomes enlightened, freed from vanity and leaves the acting business. What seemed like the joys of life before became meaningless to him, and wanted no part in the shallow lifestyle. Then there's Havik, whose dream for chaos becomes absolute.
(As a bonus let's compare Johnny's ending to Hotaru's, where everyone was forced to bow to Hotaru or be changed into someone they're not. Havik gets the worst end of it by being turned into Hotaru's 2nd in command. What's even funnier is that in the Armageddon intro I can spot Hotaru as the one who impaled Li Mei, but Li Mei is on the side of good while Hotaru is suspiciously on the opposite, despite being against the forces of evil. Why would he be on the same side as Havik when they are enemies? I would also like to point out that Johnny was fighting Darrius, a man resisting the Order of Seido.)
I already wrote something similar to this in another post I made like a year ago, but I'm gonna say this anyway. Johnny found out by himself that all the luxuries and fame that he sought in life weren't worth it. In his MK11 ending he ends up going on adventures with Cassie after coming to this realisation, choosing a life where he can always spend time with those he loves, not ruling over the world or being a dictator. There's chaos within Johnny, but there is a want or need for peace and stability.
Johnny should've been the one that was super pissed about being in a death tournament. Up until that point Johnny has never killed anyone, yet suddenly is expected to in exchange for his own life. How does he, a Hollyweird actor, fit into all this? He got tricked into this yet was able to adapt. He's fine with it, or pretends to be, handling it better than everyone else around. The "Sure, let's go and ruin someone else's life." quote from MK9 always runs through my head when I think about his dedication to defending Earthrealm and trusting Raiden.
When the tournament took place Johnny didn't really know Raiden personally, but Johnny trusted him. Johnny had no reason to be loyal to Raiden, yet he was, unlike Liu Kang who ended up losing faith and rebelling. Johnny has all the recipes to let his ego get to him and potentially betray Raiden, but he never does so.
If Havik and Johnny were to have anything in common, I would say it's a strong sense of faith in what they believe in. Johnny fights for the betterment of Earthrealm, Havik fights for havoc.
I'm very certain that even though Johnny changed over the years, the people around him still hold a dislike towards him to some degree. My first candidates for this are Sonya and Jax.
Read this if you can be bothered: [No matter what, Jax cannot stand Johnny, even at an age where they're more familiar with each other.]
Sonya and Jax are basically the order to Johnny's chaos. Being around them has also influenced (turned) him into someone he wasn't, which was a self hating Special Forces aid (What are is credentials?). It was Hotaru's Armageddon ending but slower.
The reason I haven't listed Kuai Liang is because... I think Kuai Liang has a bit of a friendship with Johnny. He's fond of him, but he won't admit it. He even helps Johnny in sending the Kombat kids into a fake mission with the Lin Kuei.

regarding my previous post I'm trying to flesh out this odd crossover plot bunny a bit more, and I think it would be interesting if harry and Voldemort both got sent to hell and became residents of the hotel.
Harry because he does Not want to be in hell and also he has a Saving People Thing and wants to help others redeem themselves. Voldemort would probably just want to stay close to the most powerful souls he can, and ofc that means hanging around the place with the king and princess of hell, and a collection of rather powerful and influential sinners. now you may be asking, "Lucas why the fuck would Voldemort decide to hang out around people in power why wouldn't he just try to Become the people in power and kill some overlords?" and to that I say; Voldemort is a smart man. he is capable of learning and growing. I think he can realize that the past 60 years of his life since his first year in Hogwarts were just so full of mistakes it makes him cringe. he will take this weird after-life in hell and make better choices!! not morally better choices, but definitely strategically better ones. also I think it would piss him off so much that as a sinner he can't leave the pride ring, he is Not used to that kind of limitation and he hates it.
I think Harry and Voldemort would show up at the hotel and immediately realize who the fuck is there and it would not be pretty. Voldemort would probably have a harder time with self control now because that his soul is back together because it would be really unstable and also personality disorders don't just Leave when you die. like that's not a soul thing that's a mind thing. Anyways he would still want to reach his goals and learn more about hell, get closer with the people in power, etc., so he'd make an Attempt of not fighting harry but it would fail. I think Harry and Voldemort would instantly get into a fight because Harry just got to hell and he's pissed that after All That he is in the same place as the man he was born to go to war against. However, I think they'd get interrupted by charlie and vaggie pretty quickly and would remember that they're not here to fight each other. So they both check into the hotel, get to know everyone a bit, and Voldemort would soon realize "oh wait this kid does not want to kill me and he's actually pretty powerful and gets along really well with the princess, it would make more sense to be civil around him." So yeah, Voldemort becomes noticeably less antagonistic toward Harry, is a bit less reactive, and generally pisses harry the fuck off with this sudden personality change and Harry would make up for it by being More antagonistic and reactive and etc..
and of course you all expect the obligatory angel comment "lol when r u guys gonna get it over with and fuck" but did you expect that to be a Plot Point? No? That's because I didn't either but it makes so much sense. Angel makes One (1) Angel comment abt them fucking and Harry's mind shatters. He is broken from the inside out. He never registered that as an option. He never had the realization that he had a crush on Tom Riddle and he never made the realization that yeah, odd internal monologues about how scary and weirdly elegant and graceful and beautiful your enemy is Might mean that you have a bit of a crush even on the non-conventionally attractive physical form he has. That one comment would make him completely short-circuit and he would have an epiphany so great and devastating that it makes him freeze for a concerning amount of time before leaving to Immediately imagine fucking Voldemort. He wouldn't be seen for days and he wouldn't jack off a single time but he would be in a near-constant state of cold showers, denial, shame, and then acceptance. Harry and Voldemort would probably fuck pretty soon afterwards and blah blah blah. you get it.
I feel like the radioapple needs far less explanation, however I will probably need to think it through later as I have a deep-rooted Need to keep them as canon accurate as possible and not have alastor be ooc because I love his c. it's a very good c.

Arc Purgatory: The one (and only) major flaw of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies
-oh, hiii, just a note, this post is super uncleaned and kinda messy, you can see points where my ADHD patience wore off. sorry bout that, ill come up and clean later, for now, i gotta recharge-
I think I speak for most PotC enthusiasts when I say that the PotC trilogy (franchise? Wym theres more than three movies?) is one of the best written trilogies I’ve ever seen. Amazing choreography (they just don’t make swashbucklers like this anymore!!), amazing set and design, amazing writing, the comedy is peak, the world building is great shit, but by far, the best and most hooking part of the series is its characters!! You have the elusive trickster captain Jack Sparrow, you have the naive but headstrong and well-meaning Will Turner, the cunning and crafty Elizabeth Swann, and an array of amazing villains to boot! Barbossa and his excellent character arc, Davy Jones and his excellent character arc, the excellent dynamic between Commodore Norrington and Cutler Beckett and who being a villain when and why, the whole shtick. With how well the villains are written, it’s no surprise that a lot of them hold a spot in many fans’ top favorite characters - I’m no exception, Barbossa has always been a favorite of mine and upon a rewatch later on in life, Davy Jones is up there too. And while all of the characters are iconic, memorable and loveable (most times), Ive noticed a sort of… pattern in who places at the top of people’s favorite characters. Namely, I’ve seen the villains and Jack Sparrow. I’ve never seen Will or Elizabeth be explicitly placed high up, or higher than the villains/Jack  Sparrow. And even when I see Jack Sparrow be high up, I always see him be high up because he’s “iconic”, while I’ve seen the villains be high up because they’re “compelling”. That discrepancy really meant nothing to me when I rewatched the first two movies; they were, after all, an incomplete story. The third movie would bring it all together and cement these characters as excellent. Right? … Well… wrong. Now, before I go on, what I said before still stands. The trilogy is still impeccable in all the ways I’ve listed above. Great characters, plot, world building, choreography, score, cinematography… but there is only one area it falls short on: character development. But the peculiar thing is that it falls short only sometimes. So I wanna examine where it doesn’t fall short, where it does, and why I think so.
As previously stated, the character development falls short only sometimes. Where it absolutely doesn’t fall short is with the villains. For at least the first three movies (cuz i have not and refuse to rewatch 4 and 5), the villains have excellent, fully rounded character arcs, with memorable story beats. Barbossa going from bloodthristy merciless captain of the black pearl to hesitant co-captain of the black pearl, leaving behind his lonesome ways and instead choosing to make alliances if not for his own benefit. Davy Jones going from a terrifying force of power to blah blah blah, we've watched the movies, we remember what happens, we all get the gist. The villains have complete character arcs, they develop from one thing to another, either by way of actually becoming a decently better person and improving in some of their qualities, or by digging in their heels and dying as a consequence (or in Norrington’s case, becoming a better person but dying anyway because his narrative foil is cutler beckett and hell hath no fury like an 18th century british twink in a position of power). Even the side characters which are related to them have fully fleshed out character arcs of their own to complement them, namely Tia Dalma, who develops from a mysterious bogwitch to a lovestruck goddess. From this section, I want you readers to remember that the people who insofar have complete character arcs are the villains, who mostly switch up every movie. Now let’s talk about the lame ducks, shall we?
A few characters dont get any character development; namely, the side characters whose name you don’t really remember, or cannon fodder (i am counting Sao Feng as cannon fodder, I take no further questions at this time). However, there’s three other characters in the series that don’t get compelling character development and that’s the three protagonists. I’m gonna start with Will and Elizabeth; both of them do develop in a sense! They become more mature and more tolerant of piracy as they learn about the fallacies of the state. They are forced to mature rapidly thanks to their turbulent circumstances, namely as only-dubiously-pirates and only-dubiously-free and legally pronounced enemies of state unless cutler beckett decides otherwise. Thats a lot of Circumstance. No matter who you are as a person, that forces you to grow in one way or another. But let’s not forget that becoming pirate king and abandoning high society/abandoning citizenship and becoming an undead pirate are only half of Elizabeth and Will’s character arcs. Why do they get into this entire mess in the first place? Well, love! They love each other so much that they’d literally uproot their safety to be together, and the only thing keeping them apart is Circumstances™ . Naturally, this then means that their character arc would involve them triumphantly overcoming the circumstances and finally being together, either by abandoning pirate life or pilfering together as captains! Or alternatively, they discover it was never meant to be either by way of death or by departing tearfully. Yeah, neither happens. Instead they leave off movie 3 right back at square one; pining and yearning from a distance. But instead of the distance being lord vs peasant dynamics, it’s a time gap of 10 years. How is this any different from what the problem was 2 movies ago? This is their wrap up? Same circumstance with a different name and an outfit change? At best, this is incomplete. I can’t even count it as full circle if I wanted to; normally, here would be the beginning of a spin off or something, because this development is something penultimate. A darkest hour at best. Not a climax, and definitely not a conclusion; again, it is incomplete. And, sadly, the same can be said about Jack Sparrow. The movie goes out of its way to point out where Jack is flawed: he fears death so much that he refuses to see the pain and drawbacks of immortality, which leads him to do all his tomfoolery. Which is great character motivation! But it never changes. He is constantly afraid of his own mortality, so he will constantly hold himself back from going guns blasing, and it will always lead to him chasing the promise of immortality. Even when he sees what that does to Barbossa and Davy Jones, he digs his heels in and goes “la la la”. even when the plot of one of the movies was that he died. He died and came back to life. At this point, he has gone face to face with his greatest fear and come back a victor. But by the end of the movie, whatever happens, happens because he is still mortally afraid of death. Even after he comes back to life, people point out that all he wants is to be immortal, and he affirms that. So like… did the death… not happen? Because even if this is happening because Jack refuses to process it, then that gives us new motivation. And that’s not the only way for Jack to continue his adventures; one alternative could be that Jack, after conquering death, instead turns to life to see how he can maximize his limited fun, and starts pilfering and pirating to the nth degree, purely because of zero inhibitions. But instead like with Will and Elizabeth, with him, we are right back to square one.
So… why is this happening? Why are we having these fake character arcs for the protagonists? In most media and most cases, the answer is “because the writers suck” in one variety or another. Time constraints, budget constraints, bad writers, the works. But I firmly believe this is happening not because of the writers, but because of one mouse that keeps ruining everyone's fun.
Tumblr media
(if i could add sound bytes, i would, but please imagine the intro song jingle thing of disney playing here)
Obviously we all know Disney; they want to milk their cash cows until the bitter end, which means that in order for that to happen, they need to keep an avenue open for Will and Elizabeth’s story in case they need to milk that for an extra buck, and obviously, Jack needs more motivation to keep doing his silliness. Now, as stated above, there are multiple ways for that to happen without keeping the same motivations that kept us going for 3 movies, but it has been proven time and time again that Disney will take the easy way out instead of the interesting (and potentially more costly) way out. Now, I refuse to watch star wars, so I cannot validate this point by myself, but according to a friend (thank you for your service @greetings-humans), when “somehow palpatine returned”, the franchise was owned by disney. Star wars fans, and even people with a brain, recognize how much of a cop out this is, and having seen the above cop outs happen in PotC, i am now firmly of the belief that the protags of PotC dont have character arcs because Disney believes this is the cheapest way of keeping the franchise going. This, btw, delightfully, ended up making disney shoot themselves in the foot; not only were movies 4 and 5 poorly received, but because of the way they were written, it wouldn’t make sense for any of the protagonists to suddenly have a change of motives and resume character development, which would be especially detrimental since we are talking about the PotC franchise; famously adored for its writing. They could mask the cash cow before, but now they cannot. So it’s no surprise that instead of continuing a story that is continuously shooting itself in the foot thanks to Disney’s executive decision to take the easy way out of creating a continuous cash cow, the 6th movie is rumored to be a remake of the first one.
But yeah, this is pretty much my analysis. I dont have much more to say. The key take away here is: write your own fanfics of the ending, or engage with the series however you like. I think if the series had different producers and was just left at a trilogy, then it would’ve been perfect. I don’t really have much more to say here;; this is pretty much it. I’m just glad that PotC’s one major flaw wasn’t due to incompetence and was due to the mouse being the mouse.

Rambles About the Golden Age Arc Addendum: The Lost Chapter
This is what I was going to post two weeks ago but I ended up rushing the Hill of Swords for Vday instead. So here we go!
I meant to do this months ago, but I’m lazy—uh I mean I didn’t For Some Reason. But after reading about Miura’s thoughts on the Lost Chapter I decided look at it again and, well, the pages were out of order on all the sites. So I tried to track down the correct order and ended up reading about it and blah blah anyway whatever who cares here we go.
Rambles About the Golden Age Arc Addendum – The Lost Chapter
Tumblr media
So for those who don’t know (not a lot of people, but hey there may be newbies), the Lost Chapter is the original Berserk Chapter 83, God of the Abyss Part II. It follows directly from the pages where Griffith’s soul or astral form or whatever departs the physical plane and goes forth to become Femto. So okay here’s some of the leadin for context:
Tumblr media
Griffith’s spirit departs the physical plane by traveling through a water-like abyss (which is very reminiscent of what’s going on with Guts in the current chapters, I might note). This is actually especially interesting because later in the series Schierke remarks that the ocean supposedly leads to the astral plane - the actual ocean, that is. This one I assume is more of a metaphorical/spiritual ocean.
Tumblr media
Anyway, there, he is confronted by the reality of the Sacrifice he chose, and is shocked at the horror of it. This is kind of a sidenote but there is some question as to exactly what he thought would happen when he took that deal, because he doesn’t appear to have known it would be that.
Tumblr media
He’s also surprised that he doesn’t feel anything about it. At this point, as Griffith’s last tear falls, an off-panel voice chimes in to explain his lack of emotional response....
Tumblr media
“When suffering so profound as to make someone rip himself apart is confronted, a heart is frozen.”
I think I said this way back in Golden Age Rambles 16, but this is one of my favorite (and imo one of the most important) lines as far as Griffith’s character is concerned. Because it suggests that his emotional suppression is at least in part a trauma response - it also confirms that this emotional deadening, which is a result of the trauma response/his confrontation of his suffering, is the reason he doesn’t feel anything - as opposed to it being, for example, because he’s a sociopath. Sigh.
Tumblr media
We are given an explanation for the existence of behelits, which Miura later clarified in interviews as being solidified souls whose faces are skewed due to their fragmentation and lack of ... being a person as yet. Love that for them.
Finally, Griiffith encounters...
Tumblr media
A pile of flesh that he refers to as God.
And that’s where we transition into the Lost Chapter.
So originally the chapter I am about to discuss was the chapter after this, but when the chapters were collected, Miura had it removed. There’s been some discussion as to why that was, but officially his explanation was that it gave away too much too early and that something as extreme as an on-panel appearance by God should be saved for the end of the series.  He also said that he didn’t like to nail down the limits of the world and wanted to keep things flexible in case he needed to change something.
From there, a lot of discussion has been had about whether the story “counts” or not. My position is basically that it’s fairly safe to assume that this or something like this happened during Griffith’s ascension, because it seems like the main reason he didn’t include it was more because it was too revealing than because he changed his mind. And while he did want to have the option of changing his mind, ultimately nothing he did ever contradicted it, and there were references and minor cameos that seem to confirm it.
So I personally consider it to be pseudo-canon, like broadstrokes canon, but with the understanding that details may be inaccurate. Nonetheless, I also consider it an extremely interesting and informative chapter when one wants to try and unlock the secrets of what the series is trying to say.
So here we go. I’m putting the entire chapter up. The pages are presented in their correct order – most websites post some of the pages out of sequence. It doesn’t really make a huge difference to the meaning, but it does change the flow a little bit. The order that follows is confirmed based on raw scans.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay so this is pretty basic – Griffith recognizes this as probably God, and its confirmed. One nitpick I do have is um, literally the NAME “Idea of Evil.”
Normal disclaimers apply - I’m not fluent, correct me if wrong, etc etc I proceed in good faith.
So this is a little weird because it’s another case of the Kanji saying one thing and the furigana saying something else. The name is given as 魔の源形  - something like “the form of the source of malevolence.”  with furigana over 源形 being the katakana for “idea.” So what it’s actually saying is Ma no Idea - fairly translated as Idea of Evil, but what it means is that it is the physical form of the source of malevolence/evil/etc.
...I mean it basically means the same thing, but I think for me when I see 魔の源形 I think of something like the Endless from the Sandman, which follows from some of the later dialogue, because as much as people assume that having “ma” in its name means it is, itself, malevolent it’s more like the spinner of malevolence, which brings me back to the Sandman, because while Dream embodies dreams, he isn’t, himself, a dream. He’s the thing that makes dreams, see what I mean? Well I’ll probably get more into it later.
In the meantime, Idea of Evil is fine but it does seem to be a descriptor rather than a name, and I do find the longer and more awkward translation a bit more useful in understanding what this deity is.
Moving on!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s saying “that” is God not “this” is god which I guess sounds nitpicky but for me if it says “this” it’s more up close - I’m the idea of evil, i am god! vibes. Whereas “that,” to me, feels more of a neutral, “the source of evil is god/" kind of vibe.
It’s kind of like the flame/making mistake thing I went on about with Guts before, like it doesn’t change the fact that he’s talking about Casca, but it changes what the fact that he’s talking about Casca means.
Tumblr media
One of the interesting things from the twitter festival of Miura quotes was this thing about how the faces that overrun the landscape during the eclipse represent that this is the collective will of humanity. And I’m bringing this up because its the same faces that are visible in the ocean of souls. Its also a similar face to what comes out when the behelit rights itself. So that all tracks.
The most important thing here, though, is this concept of the common consciousness beyond individuality - humanity’s collective consciousness or, as Griffith eventually says, “where they will become one.”
It’s this collective will that is really the most powerful force in Berserk - even IoE serves this will, and it is this will that seemingly reshapes and controls the nature of reality - like splitting the astral from the physical worlds when humans lost their faith in supernatural things.
Tumblr media
So I talked about this before, but one thing that I notice people tripping over a lot with the whole “Griffith is the desired savior” thing is that people have a hard time I guess divorcing themselves from assumptions that are rooted in the real world, whereas Miura specifically and explicitly rejected those assumptions within the framework of Berserk’s world.
What I mean is, when people see Griffith – who is a demon with some nasty crimes to his name – presented as humanity’s chosen savior they assume this must be a farce, right? Because how could someone like that be humanity’s chosen one, it must be a big act and hes actually just the fake savior and someone else is the real savior.
The problem with this is that Humanity’s will within Berserk is extremely ambiguous of intent right, like it’ll get into this later, but the great desire of humanity was not to be protected or saved from harm, it was to have reasons for the harm they experience and thus their will gave birth to a God who did not stop their suffering but rather provided a purpose behind their suffering. Similarly when Griffith restores the world to the shape desired by humanity, that world is exponentially more dangerous than the world before his return.
But this isn’t really presented as being awful as such – it’s just the nature of humanity to have dark feelings and to experience and inflict suffering. That doesn’t mean it’s all they do, but it’s a strain that runs through mankind and that duality is what gives rise to someone like Griffith, who encompasses both sides of the species.
Also another reason to bear in mind that IoE isn’t a name - it just makes Griffith’s question make more sense - “why did humans give birth to this will called God” is appropriate because it is the embodiment of the concept of a kind of intent.
Tumblr media
Which also creates the ambiguity of “hell.” I keep going back to the archangel/demon lord thing with the Godhand, because it’s not just lipservice, it’s a genuine part of the worldbuilding of Berserk. Griffith looks down at the will of man and says it looks like Hell – he’s shocked that humanity’s will could be so cruel, but at the same time he recognizes that same cruelty inside himself, as well.
And God responds with, some people call it Hell, but it’s just part of the larger whole, and it’s a place that reflects human nature.
As I’ve said before, when Griffith says he feels that evil inside himself, it isn’t Miura telling us he’s a sadistic psychopath who was evil all along, it’s Miura telling us that every human contains the capacity for evil, including Griffith (because he’s human).
I feel like a lot of (western, again) fandom struggles with this stuff (and by struggles I mean doesn’t notice) because we’re so used to... “human” being synonymous with good but you kind of have to shed that to ‘get’ Berserk.
Tumblr media
And again, it is IoE that serves the will of man, not the other way around. Or controls destiny to create what humanity desires.
And here’s where I’m going to talk about the Sandman, haha.
I kind of struggled with how to conceptualize the Idea of Evil, because this is a deity born to dispense pain and cruelty, but it does not, itself, appear to be particularly malevolent. It’s just kind of doing its job.
And that’s when I started thinking about the Endless.
This rundown might not be as necessary as it once would have been due tot he Netflix show, but suffice to say Sandman is about Dream, who is the  anthropomorphic personification of dreams, but also the king of dreams, and one of a family of anthropomorphic personifications that each embody, control, and dispense a certain thing. Destiny, Death, Despair, Desire, Delirium, and [omitted for spoilers].
Anyway the thing is, the Endless embody a concept, but they are also created by the need for that concept. As the lore goes, Destiny is the oldest because he is integral to the existence of life. Death came next, because all living things die. Dream was born to give form to dreams. But the thing is, even though they control and create those things, they are not, themselves, those things. Death isn’t dead, she’s the person who collects souls. Dream isn’t a dream, he’s the one who makes dreams. But most significantly, and this is why it sticks in my head as hard as it does, if one of them dies, another incarnation of the same concept appears, because the job of being and dispensing that thing has to be done.
Now, I’m not saying IoE will die, I have no idea, and I’m not saying that if someone stabbed it, another heart or a brain or something would turn up - I’m not even sure IoE can die since it states that the world itself is its body but the point is, cruelty and pain and suffering, those things all existed before IoE did, and in fact it was the existence of those things in a chaotic and pointless state that created IoE to begin with. It came into existence to create meaning and order to what already existed, and to give it a reason for existing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“It was established that you would be here since a distant past. By influencing the lower levels of human consciousness and merging blood with blood I created the lineage that would give birth to the man you are. To pave the way for the times you would be born in, I manipulated history. and created an appropriate context for you. All the encounters you have had so far were all a part of the destiny that led you here as well.”
Now, going into the Griffith specific stuff. This is has always fascinated me because if you think about it, basically IoE is saying that everything in Berserk to date (and presumably everything that follows) is arranged to create the circumstances under which the specific person that Griffith has been designed to be will make the choice that brings him here.
One of the things I learned in psychology yars and yars ago is about this concept of psychological free will vs. like I guess religious or spiritual free will? Because ok there are multiple was to conceptualize what it means to have free will, right? We have the more standard version: are our lives planned out for is in advance by an outside force (typically a deity), or are we free to do whatever we wish to do? Free will vs. Predestination.
Is there such a thing as being destined to die tomorrow or does whether you die tomorrow or not rest entirely on what you choose to do? And if there is such a thing as being destined to die tomorrow, are there ways to prevent that from happening or is trying to fight it just hubris in the face of powers beyond your comprehension?
But there’s also the psychological concept of free will: given the interaction of your personality and your experiences and your capabilities and this Thing that Happened, is there really more than one thing that you could do, or is it inevitable that you will make the choice that you made because its who you are?
If Person A is rushing to work and comes across someone having a medical emergency on the sidewalk,  is their decision about what to do (stop, ignore it, call 911 and keep going, etc) determined wholly by the kind of person they are, or can they just do whatever? And more to the point, even though there is nothing stopping them from doing any of those things, are they themselves, being who they are, able to do anything other than the thing they end up doing?
Berserk is interesting because its take on fate is something like a combination - the end is set by IoE, but the way you get to that point is by IoE setting up your life in order to shape you into being a person who would make the choices necessary to arrive at that point. Unlike traditional predestination - that greek tragedy stuff - there’s your destiny and fighting it is hubris, because that fate comes for you rather than you necessarily arriving at it - the only thing that makes an endpoint inevitable is how perfectly maneuvered people are so that when you arrive at every crossroad, even if you theoretically could go left or right, because of who you are, there’s really no way you would go anywhere except the way IoE wants you to go.
This is why I often say Griffith was designed to be strong but also designed to shatter when hit in the right spots. He has to be strong to get to where he went, but he also needs to be fragile so that when the time comes, IoE can put the right things in his path to push his specific buttons and get him to do what he has to do. This is one reason I struggle with the idea of blaming Griffith - on one hand there’s the argument that individuals have to take responsibility for their actions regardless of why they’re undertaken. But at the same time, I can’t help thinking... there’s no person in existence who wouldn’t break if they literally had God arranging the entire world into the specific configuration needed to break them.
More than that, though! If you think further into it, it also means Guts was designed to be someone who Griffith would desperately love and then be abandoned by.  And that means Guts’ life was designed to create a person with all these insecurities and strengths and weaknesses that makes him the person he is. It’s all very interesting to me, these questions of free will and predestination.
It does, however, lead me to wondering about the edict he gives Griffith at the end of this chapter.
More on that in a minute!
(boy do I hope that was all coherent)
Tumblr media
So, here’s the thing that explicitly curbstomps the idea that Griffith was specifically sent with the rule that he must destroy things and ruin humanity. I mean break it down, right – IoE is a servant of the will of humanity, ergo its desires are humanity’s desires. Griffith, being human, therefore is a part of IoE just as IoE is a part of him, and thus his desires are also IoE’s desires...
お前の行い自体が種としての人間に相応しものになるだろうたとえそれが人々の苦しみてあっても救いであっても。
So that’s the original Japanese line.
Which, as far as I can tell (and anyone better with Japanese than I am please do feel free to correct me, and I’ll fix it) means something like:
“Your actions in themselves will be appropriate to humanity as a species even if it means hardship/pain or rescue/salvation for humanity.”
As a pretty interesting sidenote, the word used for salvation, 救い, specifically references religious salvation. So there you go. Antimessiah/Messiah.
In any case it does put the lie to the idea that Griffith was given the instructions to destroy things or ruin things or make people miserable, like his instructions are literally just “do whatever, and whatever happens will be appropriate.” That said, remember “Your desire is my desire as well.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I really think Griffith is at his prettiest during this chapter despite being half-formed for most of it. But anyway.
Ever think about what this encounter must mean to him? Half of Griffith’s motivation is the desire to see what he’s capable of and where destiny will lead him.
Tumblr media
So okay now we get back to psychological free will. Because obviously Griffith wasn’t sent with the instructions to do a specific thing, just to do whatever he likes with the assurance that whatever he wants is also what IoE wants by the nature of Griffith’s own humanity.
But okay, that does raise the question of whether GRIFFITH has free will (in the psychological sense), right like... at the end of the Eclipse, the other Godhand seem to indicate that they already know how this will turn out – Griffith will bring an age of darkness on the world, at least for a while. Similarly, before he’s even incarnated, Slan is sending priests visions that say he’s going to unite all of humanity into one nation.
So like, inasmuch as the IoE is part of humanity’s will and vice versa, it seems like it knew where this was going even as it told Griffith to do whatever. And this may be difficult and abstract to convey and I hope I can phrase it properly, but what it says to me is something like... Griffith acts freely on his desires, but his desires are in line with IoE’s desires (which are in line with humanity’s desires) specifically because he was designed to be a person who would have those desires. As such he does what he wants, but what he wants to do will inevitably result in ending up where IoE is trying to get, whether he is or is not specifically choosing to try to create that effect... because the outcome of our actions isn’t always what we intended.
And this isn’t me trying to let Griffith off the hook for the age of darkness - I’m not even convinced the age of darkness is a bad thing in the long term. I’m more saying that regardless of what his intentions are, the outcome of his actions will inevitably be in accordance with the destiny woven by IoE and desired by mankind’s collective will... regardless of whether or not that outcome is what he was aiming for.
Tumblr media
Sidenote: Griffith chooses his own form, which makes me wonder what was going on with Ubik.
Tumblr media
And then he heads into the world at large. The swirling of the ocean of souls echoes his reincarnation at the end of Conviction.
Tumblr media
And the end.
Okay so like, what I get from this is basically... Griffith was created to be the person needed to fill the role he’s filling, and God designed the world around creating him (and presumably did the same to create say Void or Slan). Whatever his intentions are, the actions he takes and their outcomes will ultimately align with humanity’s desire, which is also IoE’s desire.
This is kind of what I mean when, for example, someone suggests that Femto raped Casca in order to create the demon baby that would ultimately become his vessel and I say... I don’t think that’s why FEMTO did it, but it may well be why it was done.
But what really strikes me about this chapter is how it sets the stage for ... the stage that is the Berserk world. What I mean is, and I’ve talked about this before, the way the Godhand behave and especially the way NeoGriffith behaves, is very performative right like they want an outcome and they move things around like pieces on a chessboard and then they do the things needed to nudge humanity in the “right” direction which is something I’m sure to talk about a lot once I get farther into Millennium Falcon. Which isn’t unusual in itself, but because of who and what they are, they can move massive pieces, like... plague outbreaks or the merging of the astral and physical worlds. The Godhand’s manipulation of human history is epic, but then of course their creator goes a step beyond and manipulates centuries or millennia in advance and on a much larger scale. But in the end it’s all the same thing it’s just a matter of degree, and...
It kind of makes sense that Griffith is one of them, because that’s really what he was doing on a human scale even when he was human.
Anyway, that’s it, back to Millennium Falcon next, thank you for listening.

Sonic.EXE in Jotaphobia's canon is a evil entity who was born in the depths of the abyss, the malicious force was fascinated with humans and their language, but most of all, Sonic The Hedgehog. He donned the name "X", since the tenth time he formed his dimension after the world of Sonic, it worked, all the other 9 times, it ended in burn marks on the entity's only form of flesh, eyes, resulting in bloody tear streaks it didn't even know it could produce, the tenth time was a success, he took the form of Sonic The Hedgehog, and made it one with himself after some experimentation, he did it, he forged a disk made out of a black glass-like material that held his twisted vision of Sonic's world, flowers grew eyes, grass withered, totems screamed and blood rained from the skies, it was PERFECT. He was ready to send his corrupted home down to the masses, except for one thing, he didn't know how to. He mulled over the idea for a while, teleportation? No, too sudden. An advertisement? Good idea, but the execution would be flawed and messy. He didn't know much about the human language just yet. Human. The word ate at him, and then, he got it. He'd take the form of a human. He cackled, relishing in his genius. He used his limited shifting abilities to turn into something resembling a human, this form was never meant to be perfect, it just needed to get the job done. Eyes slightly too big, skin papery thin. He didn’t look particularly trustworthy. It didn’t matter. He got to work, down on Earth, his time there was infinite but VERY limited, he could only walk in shadows, luckily, he was covered in the veil of midnight, he went to the place he got the code for Sonic in the first place, and knocked on the door.
A fairly unkempt looking human in his early teens answered the door. He wore a coat and a dirty hat. They conversed for a while as X offered the game to him as a "Sonic experience unlike any other.", he accepted after a quick back and forth.
The thing resembling a human vanished into the shadows as he left. He was going to enjoy the next however long this game lasted. The soon-to-be-victim started the game up, and began to play.
It started almost instantly, he played as Tails, some occasional platforming sections later, he had to traverse a spiky plain until he reached an arch gate made of dead Flickys and other such creatures. He walked through, and was instantly warped to a shadowy place, Sonic with his back turned was at the edge of the screen, a text box popped up
"HELLO. I WANT TO PLAY A GAME. WOULD YOU CARE TO JOIN ME?"
The scene changed to Angel Island Zone, albeit on fire.
A timer started ticking down, it reached to 0 and X began his chase. It was over with quickly.
"YOU'RE TOO SLOW. DO YOU WANT TO TRY ONCE MORE?"
Scrap Brain Zone, the player was now Knuckles. A quick journey to the right, and a boss fight initiated, X ran back and forth, ducking and dodging Knuckles' weak blows until he got bored and tore out his heart.
"SO MANY OF THEM, YET YOU'RE THE FIRST, YOU SHOULD BE HONORED."
Finally, the Doctor, it took place in the sky, the thunder boomed and the Egg Mobile had limited ammo. X eventually started flying after him, a few shots were tanked, then he got a hole blown in his face, it didn't do much though, Robotnik, and therefore, the player, was eventually slain.
"I WIN. YOUR SOUL IS MINE, TIMOTHY. THANK YOU FOR PLAYING."
His next victim, however, was very interesting.
Jay "Phobia" Parker. a 5’8, 17 year old boy wearing a black hoodie with a green “87” on it, grey sweatpants, and black shoes, under his hood lies a led visor displaying green animated eyes. Tan skin and blah blah blah, all of this doesn't matter.
Jay found the game at his doorstep, a very unkempt man walked away, disheveled.
He thought to himself about what this game was, and curiosity got the better of him...
Meanwhile, in the abyss, X was abusing his power on that poor soul he acquired, he discovered he had the ability to pilot his victim's corpses. Perfect for his next victim. One small issue, his dimensions were spilling, his digital world was cracking into another dimension. The Light was blinding. It was peaceful, calm, everything he hated. It didn't matter. As long as this next victim didn't avert from his path, it'd be fine. Following the light would not allow X to control his world as much as he could.
Jay booted up the game, and started playing as Tails.
The chase was on, Jay ran and ran, hopping over X at just the right times, until he reached a glitching particle of light, then the game froze.
"This has got to be the edgiest ROM Hack I've ever played."
X seemed.. Confused? No, Impossible, that's not how his game is played. It didn't matter, what's one buffer in the masterful craft he has built for all of humanity?
Jay kept progressing, munching on Cheetos like this was any other video game, X was FURIOUS, causing him to think erratically, causing in... Another victory for Jay???
This was UNFAIR, X thought to himself, livid. But it was nothing, this was NOTHING compared to the last act.
...Right?
X dodged and ducked through Robotnik's blasts, one thought lingered in his mind...
"WHY? WHY THIS ONE? WHY IS HE NOT AFRAID?"
Jay continued playing as normal, eventually running out of time in the level, the hedgehog didn't seem to go down no matter how many shots were fired.
X reclaimed his senses, and a message popped up on-screen...
"YOU."
"YOU'VE PLAYED FAIR, SO I WILL LET YOU OFF WITH A WARNING. WE WILL MEET AGAIN AFTER I FIND OUT WHY YOU AREN'T AFRAID OF M--"
Jay shuts off the game.
"Fuckin' weird ass fangame."

Okay so idk if your request are open buttt , I was wondering if you could do Slimecicle apocalypse blah blah headcanons !! With Charlie or everyone if possible !! If not that totally fine! But anyways maybe with a gender neutral reader who’s like a sleeping beauty type of person?? Constantly sleeping and being able to sleep through everything?? And it turns out they sleep a lot cause they’re like kinda infected ?? Like a Tommy situation, and they use sleep / rest to not become a complete zombie, if you don’t do hcs or anything you can ingore this !!
Ps: may I ask to be 👁️‍🗨️ anon ?? Or 🌕 anon ?? Preferably 👁️‍🗨️ anon !! Okay now fair well!! Rest well !!
of course you can be that anon! welcome aboard.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
• Charlie knew what was going on the second he saw you
• The sleeping, the smell of rotting flesh, how you barely bat an eye anytime a zombie came near you
• He had another Zommy on his hands
• His first instinct was to get as far away from you as possible. Infected were bad enough—but one that could still walk and talk like a human? Things were bound to go wrong just like they had before
• But as the days drew longer and more time passed by, he couldn't bring himself too. You laughed at his stupid jokes, helped out with repairing the base after storms, and didn't try to feed the cows rotten flesh
• Sometimes he almost forgot you weren't human like him. Almost
• The sleeping was concerning though. One night you had slept clean through a blood moon, waking up the next day completely unbothered—only asking why Charlie was breathing so heavily and covered in blood
• He later joked that you had slept like the dead, which made you smile
• It was an unlikely friendship, that's for damn sure. But Charlie couldn't say he hated it. You had grown on him. Like a virus
• Pun intented :)

Why are you so good at writing? I want to be that good at writing too. Fun fact, you are the reason I started writing BSD age regression one shots. I'm also currently rereading through your classification au. I can't remember how many times I've done that before, but it continues to be amazing. -🐈‍⬛ anon
Ok real talk because I get this question a lot, ‘why are you so good at writing?’ Short answer, practice!
Long answer, I’m an adult who was lucky enough to be able to take creative writing and scriptwriting classes, and even though I haven’t been writing fanfic for too much more than a year, I have a bunch of years under my belt of just talking classes where I had to do nothing but write. Not to make assumptions about you anon, but I know that a large chunk of my audience is younger than me. I think it’s unfair of my audience on themselves to ask why they’re not as good at me as writing when I’ve had multiple years of practice in and out of a professional environment and they’re in maybe high school, ya know?? Not to say you are in high school, but just letting you know I didn’t drop onto earth with the gift of writing lmao I’ve been forced to practice
So my advice is, keep writing one shots! I didn’t do anything special to get better. When I wrote part one of the classification au i was happy with it, and then a year later of constantly writing I felt like I had improved so much that part one no longer held up and I had to rewrite it. I didn’t do anything to get better other than do more writing. Your brain is a muscle and so it can be trained and flexed by writing, and it will get stronger!
You can do fun stuff like take creative writing and scriptwriting classes, because I do think those helped me too, but tbh i think it was mostly just doing the assignments and working that brain muscle? Role play is also a fun way to build skills that transfer over to creative writing. I play a lot of DND in my spare time, and I think it’s helped me flesh out characters in my brain and make them more real to people, but again optional. All i really did to get so good at writing was write!
Thank you for rereading it again!!! Ily!!!
Ok ok ok one more bit of advice and this is general life advice!! I apply it all the time to writing but you can use this in your everyday life
⭐️Don’t show up and tell me what you don’t have, tell me what you do have! ⭐️
All the time i click on a fic and the first thing the author says in the notes is ‘this isn’t a very good fic and I’m not good at grammar blah blah blah’
Now I’m gonna go into this fic thinking “dang, this isn’t a very good fic. The author said so.” And I haven’t even read it yet.
What do you have?? You have a fic that you worked hard on and you’re excited to share!! Boom! Much better! If you want to apologize for lack of spelling or grammar at the end that’s fine (or don’t it’s not a crime) but don’t try to set your audience up to have a bad time. They are clicking on your fic because they want to read it! Don’t talk them out of it by telling them it’s not very good! You have a good fic, and the audience WILL have a good time reading it!!!
This was the advice my scriptwriter teacher gave me for screenplay pitches but i have never found a situation where a lil fake self confidence hasn’t helped everything

what you think about a Kirby game resembling BOTW/TOTK?
A open world Kirby game with inventory (collecting copy ability’s to use later),sides quest, skins (like the masks or armors of the spin-offs) challenges (like the ones in the forgotten land or the shrines of BOTW) and lots of collectibles
I once had a idea for the story of a game like that, the villains are all new species so all the old enemies (waddle dees,Bonkers, chilly, sword knights, etc etc etc) are the npcs you have to help. It would give a chance for the old enemies to regain that status of relevance they have kinda lost through the years and it would also help with how all the games are about dreamland getting invaded but half of the enemies are classic enemies from dreamland so I usually don’t get the “they’re invading dreamland” feeling but more like “they’re invading dreamland but for some reason the habitants of dreamland are stepping in Kirby’s way”
BOTW/TOTK had thousands of NPC’s with fun personality’s, many villages, wandering travelers and many more places so It would help to make dreamland feel more alive (also imagine the fanfic possibilities giving about making villages and city’s for the characters to be in like cappy town but with more species than cappy’s and with more original designs like waddle dee town, because I always felt weird about how all the characters seem to not even have a house and how they are just hanging out in the middle of nowhere), and exploring dreamland in a 3D game sounds like fun
I'm so sorry! I thought I'd already answered this one?!?
...What would I think?
I would LOVE it!
Now, blah blah blah, I don't necessarily think it's healthy for the game industry if everyone just on continues to copy BotW's style, especially if a number of Nintendo franchises start doing that, but TotK was SUCH a great time with the new mechanics and gameplay options! (Well, outside of THOSE certain Korok videos...)
Maybe I'm missing something (I, err, don't play as many games as I used to... Adulting...) but the way building and exploration were threaded into BotW's open world was so imaginative!
Rather than this just being a TotK praise fest though, I want to highlight something in Kirby that doesn't get talked about too. At least, as much as it should, and that's how great the level design/aesthetics are, almost across the board!
I'm sure people have seen their fair share of asset-flip games and in some cases, even the "beautiful (generic) semi-medieval landscape" is starting to feel played out. Whether it's so realistic you can count the blades of grass or totally toon-shaded just like my shows. We've seen them ALL dozens and dozens of times.
But Kirby's art direction... Sometimes, yeah, it's simple checkboard grass and whatever those weird cookies in the ground are, but you can't tell me you haven't you ever wanted to break past the stage boundaries and explore the world beyond at some point! (Literally people did this with FL's hammer exploit before it was patched!) Everywhere from PR's innovative mechanized landscapes to RtDL's storybook locales to Super Star's dreamlike vistas!
The good thing too is that so many of these beautiful scapes are made of very simple building blocks, so the environment-heavy gameplay of TotK would be a great fit! (Not to mention having a few more subsystems worked in naturally the way BotW did it. Fishing in FL was fun, but to see it expanded? To be able to fish wherever?!)
And the colonies of different Popstarians you mentioned would be a great way to naturally expand on the groundwork of Waddle Dee Town and Merry Magoland.  Helping a group of Noddies get some sleep? Working with Bonkers to clear new paths? Settling a dispute between the Fire Leos and Chillies? These kinds of open world subquests would be great for what I was talking about in my un-loved character post. Fleshing out some of Kirby's oldest cast staples! Yes, you nailed it completely!
And oh my gosh, the "Popstar gets invaded by an alien force but for some reason, you're still fighting Popstarians?" So.much.this.
I mean, okay, I think they probably did try to have some implied logic behind that in games like PR (if everyone's been mechanized, who knows how much control they have over their actions. Plus, plenty enemies were just doing things like "going to work") and Star Allies (you can blame a bunch of that on the Jamba Heart making everyone who wasn't already taken in by the Jamba group crazy. I feel like the novel did the same thing?) Same with Elfilis brainwashing people in Forgotten Land. You can read that into a couple of characters, at least. (Wild Edge, Frosty, Bonkers...)
But it does stand out a little with the earlier games like Triple Deluxe and Return to Dream Land, especially when you go back to them.
(Although I get the strange feeling it may have been written (??) somewhere that everyone in Popstar is SO laid back and easy-going, if they see adventure they just sort of... join in on it?? Like they might start climbing the Dreamstalk just because "...it's there" or go after Sphere Parts because "Hey, everyone else is doing it I guess?" and that's how they end up getting in the way/being enemies?)
Dess is someone who sees the "adventure" part of the game as light-hearted enough (because it's not like Kirby hurts anyone) that I don't get too shaken up if Waddle Dees et al remain as stage fodder going forward, but I understand those that want their longtime friends to stay as friends, not baddies!
