DCA Info Part 42: Once Upon A Story Outfits 🦄

Style: Classical

A beginner brand that uses the classical look on all of its clothing. The clothes are simple and have a casual design to them with an accessory referencing a certain Disney film. This brand is given to those who have yet to pick a brand but only first years have access to this, when they move to the second year, they have to pick a brand. This brand is Sophie, Ottilie and Ru's starting design.

Village Sweetheart (Sophie)

The dress: Based on the dress Sofia wore before she became royalty, The dress itself is violet in color with an argyle pattern. The top has a pale yellow collar with ruffle sleeves of the same color, a opal brooch with held by a lavender ribbon with daisies on the top and patchwork designs of daisies, with the bottom left having a lacy pink heart. The top also has pale yellow ruffle trimming. The skirt has a lavender ribbon sash with daisies on top, the patchwork design of daisies and a heart, and deep purple lace trim layered over pale yellow ruffle trim. The shoes are a pair of violet moccasins with deep purple trimming and ribbon.

Accessories: The accessories include a pale yellow hair bow with daisies, a pair of daisy bracelets and pale yellow socks with bands that resemble daisies.

Tiny Wanderer (Ottilie)

The dress: Inspired by the tale of Thumbelina, the green colored dress has a floral print throughout, with white swirl and heart markings. The top is an off-shoulder one with a pale pink stripe in the center. The light chartreuse colored upper pieces folded to resemble triangles with a single white stripe and in the center of the ones on the bodice is a peach colored bow. The top also has four peach colored straps, with two of them on each side forming Xs. The sleeves have two parts to them, the first being the green floral printed sleeves with swirls at the end and the second being gray sleeves that function like arm warmers. The skirt is three layered with peach lace trim and the third and final layer of the skirt is a solid chartreuse. The shoes are a pair of light chartreuse heeled sandals with peach colored straps and gray soles. The sandals also have yellow butterflies on them.

Accessories: The accessories include two yellow hair bows, a yellow neckerchief tied into a bow and a gray belt with gold buckle.

Rockin' Bamboo (Ru)

The outfit: Inspired by The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, a Japanese folktale. This outfit is designed to fit Ru's athletic personality. The outfit itself consists of navy colored vest worn over a white and red off shoulder top with green trim, with the left side having a red cuff and the right side (though not visible in the picture) having a white cuff. The skirt is red in color and has trimming in the shape of ivory triangles with green outline. The skirt also has printed details with a bamboo stock in front of what appears to be a sun. The look also features a pair of black capri leggings. The shoes are a pair of red flats with green soles and detailing.

Accessories: The accessories include a hair ornament that includes a red fan behind a cherry blossom flower attached to a gold bead with a red tassel. The look also contains a gold necklace with a moon charm. Additionally the outfit includes a pair of black gloves also well as a green belt with gold buckles.

🌳 Forest Friends Set (Inspired by Bambi)

Darling Doe (Sophie)

The dress: Inspired by the titular character, this dress is made up of three layers. The first layer being a turtleneck style dress is pale yellow and features puff sleeves with brown and red cuffs. The dress also has red trimming on it's skirt. Second layer includes a brown corset dress with two daisy buttons and red trim at the bodice and skirt. The skirt hems resemble rounded arches. The third layer features a tan colored skirt with daisies and red trim, as well as straps. The footwear consists of a pair of brown heeled sandals with red detailing on both the strap and yellow ankle strap.

Accessories: The dress comes with a brown headband with red detailing, as well as a pale yellow ruffle rosette layered beneath a daisy decoration with a brown and red ribbon connected to red gem brooch. On one of the dress straps, there is a ruffled pin with a smiling deer and daisies on it. This outfit also includes a pair of below elbow black gloves.

Perfume Kit (Ottilie)

The outfit: Inspired by Bambi's skunk friend Flower, this outfit consists of a pale pink shirt with the sleeves having white vertical lines and white lace trim. The center of the shirt has a design that features a skunk in the center of a purple heart with red outline as well as yellow flowers at the bottom of the heart. The bottom half of the outfit consists of a grayish mauve skirt with a white lace petticoat as well as flowy white horizontal lines with pink flower details. The outfit also includes a pair of black and white knee length leggings with lace trim. The footwear consists of a pair of brownish gray ankle boots with black and white fur and yellow flowers and green leaves.

Accessories: The outfit includes a black and white beret with pink ribbon trim, yellow flowers and green leaves, a scarf that resembles a skunk's tail with a yellow flower brooch, a pair of black lace gloves and a brown belt with silver buckles and an accessory that resembles a skunk's tail.

Lucky Coney (Ru)

The outfit: Inspired by Bambi's rabbit friend Thumper, this outfit consists of a light blue turtleneck crop top that includes chartreuse flow trim. The top also includes a picture of a rabbit in front of a comic style explosion with the word "POW" in orange letters and green clovers on each side. The bottom half of the outfit consists of gray jeans with yellowish-orange zigzag lines, accompanied by clovers and white rabbit paw prints. The footwear consists of a pair of blue ankle boots with black straps and silver chains and buckles, white fur trim, pale yellow soles, gold trimming and the tips resemble rabbit feet.

Accessories: The outfit includes a blue cap with the word "THMPR" (an abbreviation for Thumper's name) in orange lettering along with a pair of white rabbit feet with pink interiors and green clovers. This set also includes a teal glove with a black strap and silver buckle with an orange and yellow armband and maroon armband with spikes on the right and and arm warmer on the left side with the same armbands and strap, with the addition of a silver chain. The outfit also has a black belt with a silver buckle.

If you find a style of pants/shoes/bra/whatever clothing item that you really, really like, that's your absolute favourite, that you could happily wear every day, and your finances and storage capacity in your living space do allow for it, go immediately (do not delay!) and buy anywhere from 2-5 more of them - maybe in different colours, but just get several of the exact same thing, and either stash away the extras for when the first one wears out, or wear them in rotation so that each one lasts longer than if you were wearing it every day.

(If you do not have the financial ability to buy multiples of a clothing item at a time, at the very least write down the brand, size, store you got it at, and any other relevant info as soon as you determine that it's your favourite/best you've ever had of whatever item. When you need to replace a favourite bra after 3-4 years and are trying to read the completely faded/worn away label to discern what size and type it was, or when you want to figure out what brand those super-awesome shoes were and where you got them but there's no label to tell you, you'll have some hope of finding them again.)

Even if you think 'this is a basic item of clothing, they'll always have it in stock!', I'm here to tell you you're wrong. At 43, I have lived through multiple instances of a type/brand of clothing I like going out of style and becoming much harder to find, stopping being made entirely (store going out of business, or clothing line changing completely, such as 'we don't make dress pants anymore'), or the quality declining drastically so that it's no longer any good. Take this lesson to heart and stock up on something good while you can!

So about the Batfamily and ghosts...

So I was looking through the DPxDC tag and just... Ghosts are actually like a known thing that Batman and Co. know that they sometimes have to deal with...? Batman does sometimes need to deal with supernatural threats, including spirits and ghosts among other things (Solomon Grundy is an undead gangster and tends to live in Gotham's sewers. Jason Blood can turn into the demon Etrigan and he often lives in Gotham). So Bruce and company would ABSOLUTELY believe that Danny is a ghost by the time the rest of the Batfam is there once Danny shows off his ability to turn intangible and fly.

As two examples of ghosts that are not uncommon for Batman and squad to have to deal with, on the rogues side, you have Gentleman Ghost aka James Craddock.

Who was a 19th century thief/highwayman before he was killed and cursed to never be able to pass on. He tends to travel around, stealing things and causing general mischief, so Batman sometimes runs into and has to deal with him. Also he's British by the by, so have fun with that! (Also you know. His character design is just rad as hell so I personally always love to see him pop up in things!)

And on the heroic side you have Deadman aka Boston Brand.

(Yes, he did die in those clothes.) He was an aerolist acrobat (he did much of the same type of things that Dick Grayson did at the circus) who died during a performance and was unable to pass on until he found his killer... But then decided to stick around anyway to help the Justice League out where he can. Normal people typically cannot see nor hear him, so he has to possess others to be able to communicate with the living.

So yes! Batman and family do know that ghosts exist and have dealt with them before! And in fact, they have special equipment to deal with them and other supernatural foes they may face! Specifically they have access to the material known as Nth Metal, which is able to effect and hurt ghosts even when intangible otherwise. They have batarangs made of Nth metal, but Nth metal can be used to make anything that you can use metal for. So Nth metal knuckles or handcuffs are not out of the question. Nth metal does tend to be pretty rare on Earth, but eh. Brucie is rich af so that's not much of a problem for the bats.

So there you go! Some info on Batman and his experiences with ghosts! I hope you find this useful and can use some of these pieces of information in your fics and headcanons or whatever! This has been a PSA!

Info: The reader has a similar appearance to Glitz and Glam from Helluva Boss! They are also based on a sea serpent. This can be read as platonic or romantic. Reader is named Leviathan, but will use Name. Similarly to how Asmodeus uses Ozzie/Ozzy. The reader is also assumed to have shape shifting abilities.

He didn’t really care all too much about you at first.

He did, however, care when you started taking out some of his employees.

He couldn’t do anything since he couldn’t travel to the Envy ring, so he fumed to the other Vees.

He thought you were just a sinner from the Envy ring, so he wanted to kill you.

When you showed up at his building and demanded to speak to him, he was finally happy that he could end your life.

That was until he saw how big you were and the sigil on your chest.

He was fucked.

You proposed that you two make a deal. Not for his soul, since he’d deny, but a small deal to keep him from running into the ground or dying.

Your support in exchange for some of his own souls and fame.

He would’ve denied if it wasn’t for the fact that you were a sin. Your support could make him sky rocket!

He greedily accepted and you became the face of some of his products.

You two became closer since you worked together. He won’t admit it, but he was drawn to you.

Your power far exceeded theirs and he loved that.

If anyone opposed them, he knew you would end them and vice versa.

You sometimes came on his talk shows. Not only did this show that nobody could mess with him, but it also skyrocketed his business because no he had investors from the Envy realm.

Valentino

He was drawn to you, as he is to most of his sexy pornstars.

You’re a hottie with a body. That’s all he really cared about at first. A pretty face and a sexy build.

Before he learned you were the sin of Envy, he offered you a job. You declined, however.

But he did learn of your status through one of his stars. Immediately, he went to seek you out again.

He offered you a deal. Not for your soul, of course. In exchange for your support, he would do any favors needed for you.

You accepted. Having an overlord under your thumb could prove useful.

After this, you hung out at his place quite a bit.

The stars were very happy because you stopped most of his rages and got onto him whenever he hurt them.

You also met Angel Dust through this. You two became friends and you helped him whenever he needed.

Since you came around, their jobs have been A LOT easier.

You also skyrocketed his branch because you offered some of your own pornstars to him.

He was very glad you were on his side, but he still flirted with you.

Velvette

She was drawn to the way you dressed.

She knew who you were because a lot of her clothes were inspired by you.

She loved the way you looked too!

When you visited the Pride ring, she immediately went to find you.

She wanted to make a deal with you as soon as she found you. Not for either of your souls, but for something else.

She asked for your support in exchange for clothing made specifically for you. You accepted gleefully after seeing some of her designs.

You became the face of a new brand of clothing she made, “Levi’s”.

That brand became VERY popular, especially in the Envy ring.

She was glad you gave her your support. Now, she was making way more money than Vox.

She also split the profits of Levi’s with you.

You thanked her.

You would also protect her from businesses that tried to copy or take her down.

After the incident with the first copycat, people finally stopped after seeing your wrath.

It fuels her with pride whenever she brags about having a Sin on her side.

Rosie

She met you whenever you visited Cannibal Town. You had came because Alastor had told you that you’d find loyal subjects there.

She fell in love with the way you looked. Platonically.

She also loved how the Cannibals liked you as well!

Eventually, you started hanging out with them.

Rosie loved your company! She enjoyed your input when it came to stuff from her time period.

You also told her about your own people and how there were some nasties they could eat if they weren’t full.

She always laughed. Even though you may be older, she treated you like her daughter.

You may be stronger, but she always protected your honor.

You used your power to protect her people and her.

Eventually, the war came.

No Cannibal casualties.

Why? They were under your protection spell.

Rosie was thrilled about you helping her people.

DCA Info Part 46: Sea Glass Wishes Outfits 🐠

Style: Elegant and Quirky

A brand that focuses on the image of the beautiful sea life. The clothes have two distinctive designs, one is to mimic the beautiful sea with the colorful corals and fishes while the other mimics the raging storm where the waves are violent and merciless. This is Cerule's preferred brand.

Spiced Lionfish

"A festive parade that celebrates the beautiful coral reef. The lionfish dazzles all who gaze at its lovely spines."

The outfit: This mostly yellow dress with hibiscus flower patterns has a blue and reddish pink asymmetric ruffle sleeve with gold trim while the other sleeves consists of dark magenta and gold ribbon with one portion tied in the shape of a bow with a hibiscus flower on top. The dress' skirt is made up of three layers of yellow, magenta and light blue with a gold outline and the yellow and magenta layers have spot patterns on them. The footwear consists of a pair of yellow sandals with magenta and gold ankle straps and red hibiscus flowers accompanied by lionfish spine fins with purple webbed portions.

Accessories: The accessories include a hibiscus hairpin with chartreuse leaves, a blue scarf tie, a magenta and gold ribbon and a hairpiece with lionfish spine fins with purple webbed portions. There are also yellow cuffs and magenta and light blue bracelets. Additionally there is also a magenta and gold belt with many of the same details from the hairpiece with the additional inclusion of a chain of light pink and magenta hibiscus flowers.

Aloha Waves

"Can you feel the breeze from the ocean? The chatter of people playing on the beach? It's time for a fun summer!"

The outfit: Made for fun in the sun, this aquamarine ensemble includes blue wave designs on the bodice with the neckline having brown trim and straps alongside yellow ruffles and pink and yellow tropical flowers with green leaves. The dress' layered skirt is made up of ruffles with the top and bottom ones being yellow and the ones in the middle being aquamarine and light blue with brown trimming. The footwear consists of a pair of aquamarine sandals with brown braided ankle straps with the feet straps being brown and attached to aquamarine straps with brown braid details and yellow ruffles.

Accessories: The accessories include a hairpiece that includes various pink and yellow tropical flowers, brown braided bands on the wearer's right arm and leg, yellow ruffle bracelets with pink and yellow flowers, and a belt comprised of the same yellow and pink flowers.

Wishing Sailor

"Where does your note in a bottle go? How does it find the person it was meant for? The answer can only lead to a young sailor who sails by her lonesome, delivering your wishes through the sea."

The outfit: This sailor outfit features a white sleeveless dress shirt with a band collar layered underneath a turquoise sleeveless sailor top with the center portion being a light cyan and has silver trimming and buttons. The skirt is made up of three layers, with the first one being a deep blue ruffle overskirt with light blue stars at the end and white lace trim, the second layer is designed to resemble fish scales and is light turquoise with hints of violet and silver trimming, the third and final layer is simply white lace. The outfit also includes a deep blue pantyhose with light blue stars on the left side. The footwear consists of a pair of light blue heels with silver lining and pink seashells accompanied by pale blue ruffles.

Accessories: The accessories include a pale blue beret with darker blue ribbon trim and has a yellow starfish accessory with a blue gem brooch on it accompanied by peach colored shells on each side and a dark blue ribbon with light blue stars at the end. Other accessories include a pair of star shaped earrings attached to chains which are in turn attached to silver anchors, a silver shell shaped brooch with a blue gem, a dark blue ribbon necktie with light blue stars at the end, a pair of light turquoise arm warmers with dark blue ribbon cuffs attached to a turquoise ruffle layered over a white one and the end of the arm warmers include an iridescent print with silver trim to resemble fish scales, and a blue ribbon sash with the ribbon itself having pearl beads attached to it.

Shell Flamenco

"With the grace and beauty of a Spanish Dancer, enchant the crowd with a dance to invite those onlookers for a dance."

The outfit: This watermelon pink colored dress includes a sweetheart bodice with gold trim and a vertical line of gold pearl beads on each side. The top half of the outfit also includes ruffle sleeves with the top and bottom layers being pink with gold bead trim while the middle layer is transparent teal. The asymmetrical skirt consists of three layers with the top and bottom layers being pink with darker pink circular designs near the bottom of each layer with gold bead trim, the middle layer is transparent teal, the top of the skirt also includes three peach colored seashells on the left side with the center shell having five pearls at the bottom. The footwear consists of a pair of gold sandals with pink ruffle ankle straps with gold pearl beads and pink wrap straps with pink shells in the center.

Accessories: The accessories include a gold crown with peach colored shells on the bottom attached to a pink colored ruffle and gold pearl strands. Other accessories include a collar of peach colored shells and a pair of gold pearl wrap bracelets attached to pink ombré puffs.

Sea Flower Tea Dress

"A lovely tea party by the shore, one must wear a suitable dress for such a grand occasion!"

The outfit: This pale blue ensemble includes a v-neck wrap bodice with pale ruffle sleeves attached to turquoise butterfly sleeves. The dress' skirt appears to be made up of three layers with the first layer being a portion of the bodice, the second layer is comprised of several pale turquoise and white ruffles and the third layer is an asymmetrical turquoise underskirt. The footwear consists of a pair of sandals with beige pearl ankle straps attached to light blue gem brooches, pale blue ruffles and white soles.

Accessories: The accessories include a headpiece that includes three vertical beige shells attached to a pale blue ombré bow. Other accessories include a pair of blue earrings that resemble two blue pearls with a beige crown in the center, a pale blue ruffle collar with beige pearl beads, a light blue gem brooch with it's design appearing to be inspired by shells, a belt of beige pearl strands attached to a pale blue ombré ruffle bow and the bow has a beige charm in the center of it with what appears to be three stars alongside a venus comb shell.

FASHION + ONE PIECE

characters: luffy, zoro, sanji, ace

info: how i think characters would dress up in modern days!; not proofread + writing this feels like a fever dream so i had to hold myself back, lmk if yall want anyone especific or if yall want more in-depth stuff.

monkey d.luffy dresses up as if he's always home. flip flops, big t-shirts, tanktops, shorts, those types of clothing make up 90% of his closet. even if he have no idea what a color match is, he somehow always buys things that look really good on him and make him glow (usually red or yellow). he can and will train barefeet, and if you give him a pair of proper shoes, you can expect to see them still new in his room. (plus: owns two brazil soccer team's shirts and one from a local brazilian soccer team)

roronoa zoro walks around in gym clothing. yeah, no surprises. he's always wearing compression shirts and big shorts that make his legs free. he's a big fan of wearing oversized shirts and hoodies over his tanktops/compression shirts, even if he often complains that the hoodies restrict his arms. but, unlike luffy, he still have some more formal outfits (at least, not-gym outfits). the color palette of his closet is mainly black, white and green.

sanji is the type of person that overdresses for anything and everything. the only moment he doesn't wear a suit (or at least suit pants and a dress shirt) is while training. his clothes are always smelling good and his sense for both fabrics and color combinations is impeccable. he have a colorful closet and can, somehow, make everything match his complexion. the only jewelry he wears, besides a watch, are rings – he never ever wear a ring in his ring fingers, though. (plus: he struggles to find pants that fit his legs, because of how long his legs are)

portgas d.ace dresses a lot like zoro, but he is more "exhibitionist" with it. he is always walking around in gym clothing, but he doesn't wear things to hide them. he wears anything from compresion long sleeved shirts to leggings and he doesn't feel ashamed about it. one of his favorite combos are shorts that end in the middle of his thigh and a shirt that rises slightly when he puts his arms up, showing his happy trail. he owns a lot of brand sneakers, but matches them with a worn out cowboy hat that luffy found and gave it to him – he started wearing it as a joke, but then it just started to stick and now he wears it when he goes out. (yes. i am saying he does the gym clothes + cowboy hat combo)

FEBRUARY FASHION ;

february is full of silks and lace. feminine muted colors like beiges, whites, and pinks. this february i've rly been into tweed dresses. accessories that i've been loving this february include pearls, stockings, and ribbons.

a lot of the clothes that i've been eyeing are things that are more light in fabric and in color. such as cute camisoles with lace trim and i've rly been into the chic look this february as i've mentioned before.

when it comes to jewelry and accessories i always love to layer and be excessive and even though during february i've been obsessed with the chic look, i always add lots of accessories. if not something huge like bracelets or necklaces, i'll be excessive with rings or something smaller.

in general HYPERFEMININE and super cute and girly clothes have been my favorite thing in february especially cuz of valentines day. the theme is soft-wear. shimmery, sheer, and showered in flowers.

when your skin is hydrated, you GLOW on such a deeper level and i absolutely love looking and feeling like a little dew drop so here's some hydration beauty tips

vasline is an occlusive, that simply means that the moisturizing ingredients that create a physical barrier on the skin to prevent transepidermal water loss and lock in hydration. after brushing ur lips to exfoliate, u can just go in and put some vaseline on ur lips and your lips will be HYDRATED.

using a body oil + a body lotion has taken my hydration game to new HEIGHTS. the key to this is to make sure the scents match or have similar notes at least, and moisturize DAMP skin so that then it can absorb better. walk around with a hand lotion, and lip moisturizer ALWAYS.

the key to a dewey makeup look is having a good base. its all about preparing the skin before u put the makeup on. use a good creamy moisturizer and use a glowy spf and then use a good primer.

FOR THE WELLNESS GIRLIES ;

hormone balancing tea blend that i tried and loved ; raspberry leaf tea with spearmint and dandelion root tea. i drink mine with honey a couple days before and during my period and my cramps have been so minimal and my hormones have been so balanced.

hydration ; to follow the trend of the beauty section lets talk hydration. the optimal amount of water to drink is 2.7 liters a day. if u wanna up your hydration game, use some liquid iv or another hydrating powder so that then u can get the most out of ur water. if u dont have anything like that, adding a pinch of salt into your water can also help to improve hydration.

Season Finale, woe is me T_T

Where did time go. It feels like yesterday that the first trailer for the season dropped.

AND THIS EPISODE DARES START WITH YOR HUMMING THE LULLABY

Bond is so happy to go for a walk with Loid! And Loid isn't exactly reserved with petting his huge dog is he.

I love how heartbroken Bond was over Anya saying she wasn't coming. He even looked back at her as Loid walked him to the exit.

It actually impresses me that Loid is training Bond right out in public, talking to him about where to bite and how much to make sure the target doesn't get too injured. I guess he doesn't expect the SSS to frequent a dog park?

I love the little pat Loid did on his leg to call Bond back. And then of course pet his head :)

Poor Franky's putting up with so much from Twilight, and he doesn't have to. I hope Twilight appreciates that at some point. I'm sure he hasn't developed feelings just for his family.

Sweet cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure

Franky talks about how Bond may have associated training with his trauma from getting experimented on, and it sounds like brand new info to Twilight. I guess, despite how much his spy training has scarred him, Twilight has a hard time connecting "having bad memories about something" with "not wanting to engage with that something". After all, he'd spent who knows how long telling himself that he hated children because they're incomprehensible to him, and not because children crying reminded him of his own desperate times. After all, it's easier to do his job and keep training hard if he refuses to accept how soul-crushing that job is, right?

Damn, I got sad again. Because I imagine post-reveal Loid and Yor asking Anya why she chose them, and she says that she thought they were cool, and Loid has a RealizationTM that no he's actually very messed up and it's very sad that this little girl imagined that this devastating way of life could actually look cool to someone from the outside.

Not to worry, there's more angst I'll pull out of nowhere down the road!

I love how after Franky left, Loid and Bond looked at each other like idiots. Old habits die hard, and an entire cruise of Loid trying to relax and have fun wouldn't be enough to break them, I guess XD

She's like "If I can't get real stars might as well fake some" Poor Yor continuing to clap happily even while Anya's origami star fell from her chest XD it taught her how to properly apply tape I guess, for later...

Pretty much everyone around them is wearing winter clothes, even Loid is wearing a turtleneck and a heavy coat. Why are those children in such light clothes eating ice cream? The boy on the left we even see later is wearing shorts

Guess an ice cream was an easy kind of snack for a kid to feel bad about dropping XD

Sweet Bond! He's imagining Loid praising him and telling him he's glad they adopted him, and all while Bond is wagging his tail 😭😭

This family is just four lonely creatures desperate to be wanted (even if Twilight is very far from accepting that) aren't they ;_;

Ice cream goes RIP and Bond has his (probably) first experience of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Look at him he's so 🥺

Later in the episode, Twilight goes all strict with himself for a laugh. Here though, he actually expresses distress and guilt for Bond ruining the kid's ice cream. He could have gone for a simple "I'll buy you a new one" without showing that much emotion in his expression and voice. In the manga he even has a typical "cold sweat lines" expression.

Or however you call that.

I don't know, maybe it circles back to any "starving war orphan" trauma he may be trying to tell himself he doesn't have...

I'm just saying, he was very expressive here, and he didn't have to. It wasn't a conscious choice.

Bond is really such a good boy. Every time he acts on his visions is to help someone else. From something as trivial as dropping a snack to something as important as saving someone's life, whether they're a kid, an old man, or a puppy, Bond is truly a very empathetic and caring creature.

However, the silly music playing over the vision of the old man getting hit was... a choice XD

Yet another example of the anime putting details to help the narrative: the old man is hunched, making him short enough that the corner of the wall/fence to his side is actually covering him. Which makes the biker not seeing him make sense, since he was behind the fence and appeared at the last second.

I actually felt shivers with the tone Twilight used here. Bond's behaviour is making no sense and is actually a first.

But also, Bond is probably only now realizing that unlike Anya, Loid cannot read his mind and cannot see his good intentions. He knows Anya would jump for joy for what he did, but since two of his efforts to help were met with reprimands, he's hesitant to try again because his trauma rears its ugly head and he fears he'll get kicked out. He probably doesn't understand that Loid doesn't know anything about his special powers, and so he can't let Loid's reprimands pass by him unaffected.

It's a bit similar to how he probably connects bad food with bad intentions, and thus fears that Yor will be mean to him, since she makes such horrible meals.

And so he allows the woman to get bird poop on her, but he jumps to action when he realizes someone's life may be in danger of the fire.

And first, I know we talk about how strong Yor is, but can we for a moment talk about how Loid held back this absolute beast of a dog?

Like, Loid allowed him to carry him around twice, but when he felt things got serious, he actually had no issue holding him back. It was only when Bond looked legitimately scary that he let go.

And that was... a shock. Have we ever seen Twilight like that before? Cause he genuinely looks like he hesitated out of fear... and maybe realizing that no, this time Bond is actually dead serious.

Bond probably didn't know what he would be looking for once he stepped inside the burning building. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one who thought that that "Daisy" was a child... but maybe Bond is more attuned to scents of other dogs, especially little ones that need help, so he could find the puppy amidst all the burning smells.

Loid doesn't hesitate to run in after him, either. Even the idea that Bond could be rescuing someone is enough for him to take that risk. I love how, after two attempts of what Loid thought was Bond attacking innocent people, he still believes Bond would have a good reason to run into a burning building and runs after him to help.

I mean, you also ran into that building to save your - for all you know, disobedient - dog, so maybe it's the pot calling the kettle black XD

How sweet is he, though. He really doesn't believe in reprimanding someone after the fact - Bond running into fire was dangerous, but it helped save an innocent life... and Twilight's priorities are very clearly shown in that reaction!

I love how man saves dog, dog saves man, and then Twilight is like "Wow your nose is incredible" because of course he can't think of another explanation, and Bond's affirmative borf there sounds like "Yeah sure, buddy. It's my "nose" alright."

Even though it's only Bond with him, Twilight uses "Twilight voice" as he assesses the situation, and "Loid voice" when he talks to Bond. Is this him putting on a mask... or feeling a little more comfortable around Bond?

I'M HOLDING OUT FOR A HERO TILL THE END OF THE NIGHT

That was so badass! But then!

Exactly how much water was in that bucket to make Bond's entire massive fur soaking wet XD

This is both so wholesome and, me being me, so fucking heartbreaking at the same time. Like, the other guy let himself laugh his heart out at how Bond looked, but Twilight barely allowed a single sound out of his mouth that he couldn't control. And again, angst is my wont, so it really ruins me that he's not even letting himself laugh over something ridiculous, because he can't let his emotions show... even if it would be totally understandable for him to laugh at that moment.

I mean, as I said, he showed genuine distress when Bond caused the boy to drop his ice cream, but he stopped himself from laughing even when the other guy next to him was laughing too. As in, he allows negative expressions when it's appropriate, but not positive even when it's appropriate and understandable.

I mean, he has been smiling at his family and looking at Yor like the besotted simp he is... but he doesn't realize just how much of his real feelings pour through his face, exactly because he hasn't realized said feelings. Wet Bond was a much clearer example of something funny, so he knew that laughing would be a loss of control...

Anyway what I'm saying is it's sad. He shouldn't feel he has to repress his own laugh like that.

Kinda sad the anime omitted this still-trying-not-to-laugh expression Loid has as he sees Bond sniff around.

Arsonist guy is watching sneakily from a corner while wearing a hat that has "Fire" written on it.

Dude couldn't have been more suspicious if he tried.

Pretty sick how he got even more excited at the idea of someone dying from the fire, when he heard the woman say how Daisy was still trapped inside.

Vigilante Bond! Arsonist guy takes out his knife and tells Bond to not be disrespectful of humans and my dude you're the one setting people's lives at risk and having a blast about it

We haven't seen Twilight in such action in a while, have we! Ngl it was kinda, uhm... 😳😳

LOOK AT HIM! So proud of his doggo 😭😭

He then says how it would be bad if either of them were in the news... and you're reminded that this is fictional but still pretty accurate 60s-70s so Twilight has really avoided getting any picture of him published. But also Bond could indeed be recognized by any of the scientists... and it's actually sweet how Twilight cares for Bond's secret not getting out. He helped Bond with his "revenge" and now he's acting to protect him from getting targeted again.

I love how Bond fears he'll get reprimanded for biting the arsonist's leg and not arm... when in the beginning Twilight very clearly said he can bite either a leg or an arm XD

BUT THEN

He tells Bond how "someone" will be sad if anything happens to him (Bond), (and we get a sweet af montage of Anya and Bond having fun together), how Bond is first and foremost a part of the family, how his working duties should come second and he should look after himself...

Oh it's gonna hit him like a brick wall when he realizes the exact same things apply to him 😭

SHUT UP AND LET THE BESTEST BOI LOVE YOU 😭

He's not gonna tell anyone, promise 🥺

And he ends with a promise to go to the dog park the next day so that Bond can have some long overdue fun. Yeah definitely a very detached, cool-headed spy who only cares about the mission not destabilizing. Sure.

The anime did offer us some extra stuff, though!

I fully expected to see the paper puppets (or whatever you call those) fall apart like Yor's victims' bodies do XD I was not disappointed XD

Anya is still working on accepting that her mother is not very capable of not sprinkling "murder" on anything in her life XD

I am amazed that they've had Bond for, how many months has it been now? And yet neither Loid nor Anya had ever seen him wet.

Anyway, Loid appeared back without his coat because his excuse was that someone had sprayed water all over them, so he took it off XD

But where is his coat even XD

Her heroes!

And of course Loid doesn't know Anya knows about the puppy rescue, so he's not that affected by the "Stella" and is instead going like "Yo but could you get going with earning those stars already". He's not used to getting recognition for his hard work and he's not about to start... yet...

The closing montage was so sweet! Especially with the holidays around the corner, it was very fitting to see the children having fun and relaxing, Yuri being very NormalTM, Nightfall and Franky having dreams for the future, and the Forger family having their celebrating dinner!

I love them so much.

And thus, the season has ended, and this anime only will start wondering how her Saturdays will pass from now on :')
