Despite not coming across as the sharpest crayon in the box, Niffty is actually quite bright.

Along with killing mother bugs in front of their children as a warning to others, she also captures bugs in jars. She jars lined up along her walls in her room. No one will go into her room for this reason.

She would absolutely vibe with the song Dirrty by Christina Aguilera.

Niffty is closest to Husk because their souls are owned by the same overlord, so she often gives him small gifts and cooks/bakes for him.

Oftentimes, Niffty will use her short stature to sneak up on the other hotel residents to scare them since no one ever really looks down considering she’s the only one not normally at eye level. The only one she hasn’t been able to scare by doing this is Alastor.

Unbeknownst to everyone but Alastor, Niffty was a dominatrix in hell before selling her soul to the radio demon.

All of her clothes are hand sewn by her and she often patches clothes for the others. Sometimes she’ll just steal things from everyone else when she notices it needs patching so she can fix it. It drives everyone nuts, but she always returns the items good as new.

She has ADHD and Charlie has tried to get her to take medication for it, but Niffty didn’t like the way it made her feel. Despite being a bit annoying and scary to the others around the hotel, Niffty loves herself the way she is and refuses to change herself drastically for any reason whatsoever.

Her hyperfixation on men is the result of trauma, but Niffty herself doesn’t see it as a bad thing at this point since she has felt more control over the men she’s legitimately let get close to her since she’s been in hell.

While Angel Dust doesn’t trust Niffty to watch Fat Nuggets on her own, she loves to spend time with the little demon pig when Husk babysits him. She can play with the little creature for hours.

Despite being closest to the bartending hell cat, Niffty doesn’t actually drink every often if at all so Husk makes her mocktails so she isn’t left out when the others drink together.

Niffty is the type to wholeheartedly try to fight an angel during the extermination. Charlie has to tie her up to keep her inside during that time…. She enjoys being tied up during this time way more than she should.

After finding out that Alastor was a cannibal, she was curious about it. After trying it herself, Niffty decided that it wasn’t for her taste.

Niffty has mastered the art of “the puppy dog eyes' ' and” and often uses that talent on Charlie and Sir Pentious to get her way.

When she’s not overly sexual and borderline terrifying the others, she enjoys cuddling with anyone who is willing and often cuddles with Fat Nuggets when Angel allows her to.

Keekee won’t allow Niffty to get too close to her because of the small demon's inability to sit still very long. Niffty does her best to move slower and sit still in order to pet and cuddle the cute little creature but she hasn’t mastered the art of being chill yet so it almost never lasts longer than a few moments.

Momo's lungs were still burning and there was still a thin coat of sweat covering her forehead as she laid down on the couch backstage. Jihyo sat down beside her, immediately sliding down so half her body was hanging off the edge. It looked like quite an uncomfortable position, but it provided Jihyo with just the right amount of support her back needed after performing for almost four hours.

Sana, unlike her mamas and the rest of her unnies, had more than enough energy left. She was practically bouncing to get backstage and grab a snack. She sifted through the big container of snacks that the venue had gifted them and pulled out a bag of Takis. She giggled and happily hopped over to where her mamas were sitting.

Sana squeezed in beside Jihyo and opened her bag of Takis, crunching down on a few. She started to tell Jihyo a story, shifting between eating a few Takis and telling her story.

Jihyo barely knew what was going on as she nodded her head every once in a while. She was trying to listen, but her body was so tired that she could barely even process the fact that Sana was sitting beside her.

"Did you see how Nayeon unnie picked the song again?" Sana giggled as she finished the rest of her Takis. She got up to throw away her empty bag and sat back down beside Jihyo, clinging onto her arm.

"I did, love bug." Jihyo gave Sana a small smile and patted her head, leaning further back into the comfortable couch. Despite Sana's boundless amounts of energy, she felt her eyes slowly slip closed.

"And and did you see when I jumped up really high to give Mo a high-five?"

Jihyo chuckled and nodded her head, keeping her eyes closed.

Sana kept chatting with Jihyo despite her mama's short answers. She just wanted to tell her about all the cool things she could have missed when they were performing.

"Hyo can we play a game?" Sana expectantly looked down at Jihyo as her eyes opened. It was so hard to say no to her baby, but Jihyo knew if she tried to get up right now, she'd collapse. Jihyo rolled her head to the side to look at Momo and tapped her leg a few times.

"Hey, it's your turn to play with Sana."

Momo just groaned and flipped herself over, tilting her head up to look at the two. Momo looked just as tired as Jihyo and also knew that if she got up right now, her legs would give out and she'd end up face first on the floor.

Sana pouted and flashed her puppy dog eyes to Momo, which in turn got a sympathetic groan from her mama. Momo held her arms out and Sana hesitantly snuggled in beside her.

"I love you lots, but I'm really tired right now, bug. Maybe Mina will let you play on the Switch with her."

Sana's eyes widened and her body was practically vibrating with excitement. "Really? Can I?!"

Momo chuckled and placed a few kisses on Sana's cheek. "Yes, but whenever we have to go, I want you off the Switch right away, okay?"

Sana nodded her head so fast Momo was afraid it was going to fall off, but she knew it was the only way that Sana would be distracted enough before they headed to the hotel.

"You're gonna regret that later, you know, right?" Jihyo chuckled as she leaned against Momo, her eyes still closed.

Sana skipped off to find Mina and her Switch. Normally, the Switch was reserved for days off or whenever Mina visited. They tried to not let Sana play on it for too long because she had a tendency to spend the entire day on it and it wasn't good for her eyes. It also made for a very cranky Sana in the morning for some reason.

Thanks to a nice hour-long power nap, Momo, Jihyo, and the rest of the girls gained enough strength to at least make it back to the cars. Momo got up with a groan as she pulled Jihyo with her. They slowly walked around to try and find Sana.

Momo stopped to talk to a few of the staff before they spotted the backs of Mina and Sana on one of the couches. As they rounded the couch and stood in front of the two, their hearts melted at the sight.

"Is she seriously asleep?" Jihyo crouched down beside the couch and Mina nodded, her Switch already put away in its case.

"How long has she been asleep?" Momo raised her eyes in surprise as she watched Sana's chest gently rise and fall.

"I'd say maybe half an hour. She came over and I played a few rounds of Mario Kart with her. Halfway through the second set of races, I realized that her character wasn't moving. I paused it and when I looked down, she was sound asleep on my shoulder."

Jihyo and Momo couldn't believe it, but maybe the exhaustion finally caught up to Sana once she finally sat down and relaxed. Whatever the reason, they were just glad she was finally sleeping. Having the amount of energy Sana had wasn't always the best thing in the world. There were often times she really needed to get more sleep or needed to take a nap, but her body just wouldn't let her.

Jihyo thanked Mina before she got up and carefully picked Sana up. Thanks to going to the gym at least 5 days a week, she was light as a feather. The little stirred a tiny bit but quickly adjusted herself to nuzzle her head into Jihyo's neck, calmed by the lingering smell of her mama's perfume.

Once they all loaded up in the cars, Jihyo sat in the back with Sana while Momo and Mina sat in front of them. Jihyo yawned and held onto Sana's hand, tracing mindless shapes into the back of her hand. She placed a few gentle kisses to Sana's head before closing her eyes herself.

Thanks to Mina and her Switch, Sana would have a good night's sleep.

Taskforce 141 are returning from a mission in the jungle. It's humid, it's muddy and no one is having a good time. Except Gaz, he's always been interested in nature. He finds bugs so cool.

All of a sudden you have Ghost making clicking and chirping noises and the panther and everyone else turning towards him like ???

Everyone is about to ask him what the hell he's doing when the panther starts chirping in response.

So you have Ghost and this panther chatting for like 5 minutes while Soap is taking a video and so many pictures, Gaz is in shock and Price is wondering how he ended up in this situation.

Ghost has always been an animal lover but especially cats. Every type of feline has interested him and it's the one of the few topics that if you ask him about it, he'll go on and on about.

Price has to stop Ghost from trying to bring the panther back with them and Soap from trying to help him.

Ghost definitely turned on the puppy dog eyes and Price was barely hanging on.

Eventually Ghost gives it a few pats and moves on but at least he has the pictures Soap took.

well. It was a long process (seriously, 7 years long) so I'll just recount it for you in summary and hope that helps?

Starts out simple: I consider myself to possess some stereotypical dog traits. 1) I'm easily excitable and a little...look I'm not dumb, but I can be...slow. Or dense. Or something. 2) When they say "following someone around like a lost puppy," I identified with that SO much as a kid that I defnitely literally roleplayed it at some point.

Unfortunately, I have no advice for picking out a unique base animal for this reason.

Jump ahead to me being 14 and this being a pony blog. I found out most of the cool artists I liked had fursonas and decided I wanted one. Dog was the obvious choice! (And I have blond hair, so Golden Retriever was also obvious)

My habit of making self inserts who are EITHER a silly fairy with the power of god OR a super normal guy goes all the way back to the dawn of this blog...and Puppy was originally the latter (see: far left image below)

The most interesting it got was when I'd draw Puppy with colors from real pictures of the sky (center image). I was unsure how to work in my silly pixie identity (far right image).

I recall trying a few times to make a fairy doggy, but it just never quite felt right.

Dave used to just ignore his emotions so he never ended up learning how to deal or understand them until recently

so he understands you to some degree and helps you whenever you ask him to

and if you think you'd rather talk to someone else he takes you to Rose since she was the one to help him for the most part, the other part was Karkat but his though love approach isn't for everyone

Dave tones down on the sarcasm while talking to you, especially when not joking

Still there's a learning curve for both of you

Dave doesn't do it on purpose, but sometimes forgets that you take things literally and he runs his mouth

going from tangent to tangent until things don't make sense anymore

at times starting to talk having no idea where he's taking things and discovering it only after he already said it

confusing you both and making you ask him if he's serious

to which he immediately cuts himself off and apologizes as if he just kicked a puppy

sometimes kneeling down to properly apologize is he takes things too far

If you have a collection of insects he is eager to see it

the first time you visited his room he immediately dragged you to his shelf to show you some sick bugs he has on amber or preserved in alcohol

Dave then listens attentively as you tell him about what kind of bug it is and what's their niche in the food chain

once you're done he tells you about how he found it behind the toiled after hearing Bro scream like a baby from getting spooked by it

If you have an ant farm or a bioactive enclosure with roly-polies and springtails Dave will practically beg you to let him feed them

just be careful since he will try to feed them pizza or some old candy he found in his pocket

and instead of water he'll give them apple juice thinking it's way better because he's watering and feeding them at the same time

You have to explain that that's the weirdest and stupidest idea you ever heard, but you sometimes let him put a drop of Aj in a bottle cap as a treat to your bugs

Congrats, you're the new target of his long and winded monologues

but you're more than expected to do it back to him

please tell him about deep sea isopods and the freak sizes they grow into, please tell him about the new hobby you've just started

Just talk to him

he craves your attention and company as much as he craves your touch, shit is unreal

Who is the best cuddle bug?

I had never really considered this question so I had to give it some thought.

Jekyll, when he's not being Hyde, is probably the softest to cuddle into because he has that nice cushy layer of fat and I can see him being the type to enjoy it if he's relaxed and in the mood. It would be kind of a lazy affair with him laying on his back and his partner tucked into his side or draped over his chest while he chats to them and pets their head.

Hyde has less patience for it than his Jekyll persona because he has more energy to burn and more interest in other activities but if you catch him in the right mood he'd probably cuddle for a bit. Bear in mind, he's…grubby. Probably sweaty and he sheds like a st Bernard. He will drape himself over you and ask you to give him a back scratch. Still kind of a lazy affair but your the big spoon now.

Adam has no fat on him and I always imagine he's kind of chilly to the touch. His skin is also thin in places so you can see and feel his muscles and arteries pulsing underneath and that would be kind of...weird. He'd also be worried about squashing his partner so he'd hold very loosely and just out of pure angst make sure as little of him is touching as little of you as he can get away with. Of the group he probably wants the cuddles the most but doesn't have the confidence to go for it.

Erik is all bones, I picture him being really clingy. Like the type who wraps all of his limbs around you and draws you in like a spider. He may be bony, he may be ugly, you may be uncomfortable, but he is squeezing you as tightly as he can. He'll hum or sing a little to make up for it.

Larry would be ok for a little while, but he doesn't like to feel smothered. He'll drape an arm over you and give you a few pats and say "this is nice." Then his ADHD will kick in and he'll start fidgeting. Before long he'll find an excuse to get up and leave.

Quincey would probably also be a pretty good, super affectionate and would give you little squeezes. You'll get tired of this long before he will and he's going to look like such a kicked puppy if you leave early.

Watson is reserved but gentle. He's the big spoon, even if his partner is taller than him.

Selma is another one who lays on her back with her partner's head on her chest. I can see her playing with your hair, idly braiding it while she talks to you if your hair is long enough to do that.

It's down to preference as to which of these is the best but this is what I came to when I considered what kind of cuddlers they'd be

but its been since middle school ithink where i genuinely could not picture a future past grade school and it was like 'oh thats probably not good but i still have 6 years where i know what to expect from being alive and maybe ill figure it out by then' and now its 2 years past graduation and its like. well. what now. college is miserable and feels like a waste of time and virtual doesnt mix well with probably undiagnosed adhd and depression and i cant really go to in person bc transportation, theres a pandemic that never ended that people are pretending is over mostly because it primarily effects vulnerable people, economy is getting unimaginably worse, its impossible to get a job anyways, world is on fire most of the time, multiple genocides are happening in front of everyone and nothing is being done to stop it because the most powerful people+countries are the ones actively committing genocide, a pipeline is being forced through my area despite countless lawsuits and endless ecological damage and thats just one pipeline and theres more, a bunch of other way too complicated and widespread issues ranging from decreasing literacy in the us and anti-science sentiments and people dont know what propaganda is and anti-vaxxers and climate deniers and every science field ever, to idiots with their inbred matted and aggressive doodles from puppy mills and neglectful dog owners and horrible breeding practices making the most messed up creatures ever, to ecological damage from outdoor cats that no one cares about because its 'cruel' to keep cats indoors but many species are going extinct because of cats, to housing issues in the us and suburbs and low quality housing and rent and cost of housing, and also everyone hates bugs and wants them to all die like noooo wasps is your friend. basically it all makes me feel very hopeless 👍
