Modern au where Sanji, adopted off the streets by Zeff when he was ten, spent eight years convinced that when he turns eighteen Zeff is going to throw him out, say that he served his time and he wants Sanji gone.
Then that doesn’t HAPPEN, and Sanji is afraid to ever bring it up.
He goes off to university expecting that when winter break comes he won’t have a bed to return to, and that makes him a little… erratic. Throwing himself into his classes to keep his scholarship but also working overtime to get money to afford a place to stay when he’s on break and in the summers, and overall just completely neglects human connection because he’s convinced he’s on his own.
It’s probably a miracle Luffy finds him and forces friendship onto him, bringing his friends into Sanji’s space (His dorm roommate Gin dropped out in the first week so Sanji’s REALLY been alone).
And with Luffy comes his asshole friend Zoro, who Sanji learns is ALSO adopted and he RESENTS him for it. Because Zoro is perfectly secure in his relationship with Mihawk— probably because he was adopted at such a young age.
But Sanji doesn’t feel that security. He knows he’s beyond lucky to have been picked up by Zeff at all, knows he can’t keep asking for free handouts from him. It would be more than enough to be hired at the Baratie someday.
But Luffy pushes into his life and pushes Zoro in along with him, and one day manages to drag Sanji to an Actual Party after his shift in the canteen is done, and get him properly drunk for the first time maybe ever.
Sanji is an angry AND weepy drunk.
He tries to fight Zoro (who can hold his alcohol just fine) then ends up collapsing on him in tears, yelling that it’s not FAIR that Zoro has everything he wants. Zoro assumes this means his three swords. He tells Sanji he’s not sharing.
Sanji sobs that his dad is going up abandon him, has probably already thrown his shit to the kerb.
Zoro, in an oddly selfless (to Sanji’s eyes) act, says that Sanji’s old man can shove it, and if he’s really like that then he’s an asshole who doesn’t deserve Sanji anyway.
Then he says Sanji can come home with HIM for winter break. Perona always brings guests (boyfriends) home on holidays.
And as drunk as Sanji is at the time, it’s a surprise he remembers it the next morning.
But he does.
And he had said yes, so… he can’t just back out now.
(Plus, free accommodations? Sanji’s meals right now are what he can sneak from the canteen while he works, he’s saving as much as possible to afford a place this summer without a co-signer)
So winter break comes and Sanji doesn’t even try to contact Zeff, just goes off with Zoro. It’s a little awkward but arguing with Zoro is almost relaxing at this point, familiar. And Perona is… well, all women are perfect.
And then, and THEN—
He gets a call from Zeff.
And Zeff is fucking PISSED at him.
Because what does he MEAN he’s not coming home for winter hols? He didn’t even CALL TO SAY SO. WHAT THE HELL, EGGPLANT?
And Sanji’s there in the Mihawk living room with his dad yelling loud enough for Zoro to hear and he yells back WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, OLD MAN? Because “I turned eighteen! I’m an adult! You don’t need to pretend to care about me anymore!”
(Zoro isn’t even pretending not to listen, he’s staring)
And Zeff yells that Sanji is “a pile of horse shit” and “of course I fucking care you shitty little dumbass, you think I’d just kick you out after going through hell to get you?”
And Sanji’s in shock because he— he really thought—
“What,” Zeff continues (he might as well be on speakerphone he’s so loud). He says, “you think that little of me, you shitty kid?”
And Sanji says, “it’s not THAT, you’ve given me too damn much already! I don’t deserve all this shitty charity!”
And that sets Zeff off about how it’s not charity when it’s his OWN KID
anyway. He yells a long time. Sanji sits there and takes it and does not make eye contact with Zoro until after he’s finally hung up.
When he finally does, he says, “I guess I should go.”
“What?” asks Zoro. “Why?”
“I got you to invite me over out of pity when I apparently had a dad this whole time.”
He’s so fucking embarrassed that Zoro heard all of that.
Zoro rolls his eyes. “Fucking hell, Curly, I didn’t invite you over because I felt sorry for you.”
Sanji squints. “Why the fuck else would you have?” He asks.
“I did it because I fucking like you and didn’t want you to be miserable. Also because Mihawk is always on my case about bringing home a boyfriend, he’s tired of meeting Perona’s weekly boy toys.”
Sanji squints harder. “I’m not your boyfriend,” he says.
Zoro grins. “Not YET,” he says.
Sanji feels incensed. “You can’t just—”
Jumping to his feet, Zoro draws his swords from behind the sofa. “If I win this fight, you’re my boyfriend.”
“Fucking DEAL,” Sanji says, clambering up out of his chair. “When I win, you’re going to have to ASK me on an ACTUAL DATE, FIRST.”
The fight is a draw.
They spend the rest of break arguing about how to start dating.
Without the weight of the impending loss of the only family he’s known, Sanji spends spring classes more relaxed, happier, willing to give in to Luffy’s every whim (and he has many).
Sanji goes home to Zeff in the spring, and he brings Zoro.

I really loved your hc about Sanji meeting Yassop and Usopp meeting Zeff and I start to think about like-
What about this with Zosan, Lusan and Lawsan?? This will be SO funny and perfect-
Just hear me: (and yes, this will be with our queen Trans!Fem Sanji)
Mihawk and Zoro going to a dinner with Sanji and Zeff because both want to know their child partner
Shanks going to Baratie 'cause Luffy insisted, and Sanji going too just to say a 'hello!' to her father and properly give the notice she's dating her captain (Luffy forgot to tell this to Shanks and he just discover he was knowing the father of his son's girlfriend when they already are in Baratie)
Law going because Sanji wanted him to know Zeff, and even hating to interact too much, he acepts because he knows how much this mean to her
And like, how you think they will react about the thing of Zeff eating his own FUCKING leg??
Okay, this is really funny- The chaos. Just imagine the chaos. Gonna try to put my thoughts into words (<- Literally a fucking writer. I'm just tired today don't blame me).
Please assume the OP world here is exactly the same but Mihawk and Shanks actually raised Zoro and Luffy. Somehow. Don't ask me how. They see them as their fathers. Zeff and Sanji's story is still the same because they're canonically family lmao. And also Transfem!Sanji as you said btw bc I love my princess.
─┉┈◈Zosan◈┈┉
The thing about Mihawk and Zoro going to a dinner with them is that Zoro and Sanji would try to behave but they would end up arguing in front of them anyway because that's just how they are and Mihawk and Zeff would end up talking alone about them tbh. Zeff offers Mihawk one of his best wines and Mihawk is- Well, you already know how Mihawk is. Their conversation is pretty polite but they keep drinking while the other two are in the background fighting for some meaningless bullshit like: "YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO GET HERE FIFTEEN MINUTES AGO, STUPID MOSSHEAD" / "OKAY SO IT'S MY FAULT THAT THE SEA IS VERY ROUGH TODAY AND THE SHIP ALMOST SINKS" / "LIAR!! I'M SURE YOU JUST GOT LOST".
And it's uhhh chaotic. But there's passion and Sanji is mad because she cares about him meeting Zeff and Zoro is frustrated but actually trying to calm down. Zeff and Mihawk are very fond of tough love and passionate couples so these two fighting just means they have strong feelings for each other. However, they end up making up and sitting down with their fathers while they tell anecdotes and try to get to know each other better. Mihawk and Zeff are intimidating af and I'm like 100% sure that Zoro would be scared of Zeff at some point bc he would look at him with that look of "If you hurt my daughter I'm killing you" and Zoro is, for once in his life, scared of a cook. Then that silly topic of "Oh, yes, I ate my own leg to save this little shit of a daughter from starving to death" comes up.
Zoro almost chokes on his food and Mihawk stares at Zeff for a while, looks down at his leg, squints his eyes at him and says: It certainly is a really admirable doing. And just out of mere curiosity, was it good-
Zeff: A little bit of seasoning and less pain would've helped
Sanji: DAD, WHAT THE FUCK
Zoro: Curly, you didn't tell me your dad was cool
Sanji: OH, YES, EXCUSE ME MOSSHEAD FOR NOT TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT MY DAD EATING HIS OWN FUCKING LEG
Mihawk: I say admirable doing because you just met her, right? I would not have done something like this for this bastard right here
Zoro: Thanks, dad
Mihawk: You're welcome I let you and Princess stay with me, don't push it
Sanji: Who's Princess?
Zoro: My sister
Sanji: YOU HAVE A SISTER?
Mihawk: Zoro, you didn't tell your girlfriend about Perona?
Zoro: I forgot
Sanji: I'm going to murder you
And basically, long story short, the night ends pretty well to Sanji's surprise. Mihawk is very nice and polite to her even if he looks pretty dark and edgy, and Sanji can't believe that man raised an idiot like her boyfriend. Then we have Zeff, who shakes Zoro's hand so hard it hurts and whispers in his ear all the atrocities he would do to him if he hurt his precious princess. Things that won't happen, of course. That's why that 'would' is there. But still, he tells him anyway. Just in case.
─┉┈◈Lusan◈┈┉
When Luffy tells Shanks to go to the Baratie together, he doesn't hesitate to say yes because who would refuse to go there? What kind of pirate would he be? Sanji is already there because she decided to go a bit earlier, so Shanks instantly assumes he's just going to have lunch with his son in a very nice place and see Zeff again after a long time. When they get to the Baratie and see that Sanji is there too, Shanks assumes Sanji just stopped by too. A coincidence. He already knows that's Zeff's daughter, btw.
But then Luffy does that thing he always does, running towards someone he loves and hugging them tightly with his legs wrapped around them. And Shanks is just like "Oh, well, that's his usual behavior and he's just greeting his cook" but then they kiss and it's uh, confusing. So Shanks asks what's going on and Sanji is all like "Please, don't tell me you didn't mention this to Shanks" and Luffy just shrugs, turns around, and says "Dad, I'm dating Sanji!" then looks at his cook again smiling and Sanji sighs: "And you obviously didn't tell him this was supposed to be a thing so our dads could talk-"
Shanks: Fuck, am I meeting your dad now? Like, actually meeting him as your boyfriend's dad? That's not- Hey, Anchor, you did not mention this.
Luffy: I'm sorry! But Zeff is reaaaaally amazing!
Shanks: I am well aware that he's amazing but you need to warn me first about this stuff.
Luffy: What? It's just dad stuff-
Shanks: I AM NOT GOOD AT DAD STUFF
Then Zeff appears and Shanks tries to act like a normal father for once (he can't. He fails. It doesn't work) and they actually end up having a pretty calm and fun dinner once he relaxes, remembering that Zeff has always been cool. Luffy is extremely clingy with Sanji, a thing that Shanks already knew but never guessed it was because of them dating. And now that he sees it from a different perspective, it is clear that they're in love, even if Sanji won't stop trying to push the kid away because he's obsessed with sitting close to her and eating food from her hands and things like that. Little shit has a more stable love life than him. That's depressing.
Their laughter and joyful voices fill the whole empty restaurant and Shanks and Zeff are already a bit drunk while Sanji is dragged by Luffy to sit on his lap. And it would be embarrassing but it's not like their dads are looking at them, too caught up in their own anecdotes and stories.
Then Shanks asks how Zeff met Sanji because he knows that's not his biological daughter. He remembers Zeff telling him about his little princess years ago when Sanji was still at the Baratie and Shanks stopped by to eat with his crew. And of course, Zeff explains what happened. Their shared dream and everything. Luffy isn't really listening because he already knows the story and is too focused on his girlfriend right now. Zeff tells them about the leg thing, and Shanks starts laughing so, so fucking loud and hysterically:
Shanks: I DID THAT TOO
Zeff: You did what, too?
Shanks: Don't you notice something missing? Perhaps on the left side of my torso? There hanging? Well- Nothing hanging, actually
Zeff: You did not-
Shanks: I did not, but I lost this useless thingy saving this bastard right here
Sanji: You said you're not good at dad stuff but that's a pretty dad thing to do, huh?
Shanks: I guess so, yeah. We have more things than I thought in common, Red Leg!
Luffy: Except for cooking. Your cooking is awful.
Shanks: My cooking is amazing, Anchor, thank you very much.
Luffy: THAT'S NOT TRUE! YOU ONLY HEATED UP WHAT MAKINO MADE FOR ME
Shanks: But I did a good job!
Anyway, they surprisingly have a very nice and warm meal together without Shanks or Luffy being as chaotic as Sanji thought they'd be. When they're heading out, Zeff just pats Luffy on the shoulder and tells him to take care of his princess and appreciate her food or else he'll make him clean the dishes again but this time for years, quite literally speaking. Shanks sees the couple holding hands when they get out of the restaurant, the redhead staying behind for a second to speak to Zeff. But Shanks is already at that point of drunkness where he starts having a breakdown and he's like "Why does my kid have a girlfriend and my husband left me?????? This is so unfair. They love each other so much, Red Leg, look at them!!!!!!!" and Zeff is like "They're young and stupid too, but they'll grow up. You still haven't. Please get out of my restaurant before you make my onions cry."
─┉┈◈Lawsan◈┈┉
Law doesn't want to meet Zeff, that much is clear. He is not good at meeting new people and even less meeting father figures because God knows he doesn't have a good memory of how his relationship with his dad ended (Rip Cora-san, we miss you). But he goes anyway because Sanji keeps insisting and saying that it's important to her, and of course, Law can't say no to her. Well, actually Sanji just tells him that if he comes with her to the Baratie, she'll wear the Soba-Mask suit (Stealth Black or whatever, Sanji refuses to say those words so-) again for him some time and Law accepts almost instantly. Fucking simp.
So they go to the Baratie and Law is dressed in a white shirt and actual, proper, and almost elegant clothes because Bepo said he needed to do it in order to give a good impression, and Law, deep down, just wants Sanji to be happy. And if getting along with her dad will do it, having to deal with this torture for a few hours is worth it.
Sanji keeps telling him not to worry about Zeff because, even if it's a big step in their relationship, her dad is just a bit scary but a good guy, after all. He will like Law once he knows how much he cares about her too! But Law isn't worried about that, he just fucking sucks at social interactions. Free the introvert from having to socialize, please, he just wants to stay with his girlfriend alone and cuddle and infodump about silly little things and comics. This is highly bad for his mental health (getting out and talking to people).
But, well, turns out Zeff is actually a great guy. Even though at first he looks at his daughter intensely and says: "Why the ex shichibukai of all people? This guy looks depressed too. Have you eaten, kid? You look like a starving man. He looks like a starving man, sweetheart. You're not dating an emo bastard who does not eat" and ends up having an argument with Sanji... He's fun to be around, once he settles for feeding Law everything he can cook. And Law isn't complaining but decides not to mention how much he hates bread because he feels that sentence will end up with him dead on the floor.
However, Sanji is the one mentioning that after a while of seeing Law forcing himself to eat bread, rolling her eyes and taking it from his hands to eat it herself. And Zeff is just like "You should've said so earlier, son! Just eat whatever you like. I feed people for them to enjoy the food, goddamnit!" and Law can only nod and keep eating.
And they actually end up getting along when they start talking more and more. Law starts actually laughing and smiling a little bit and Zeff pats him in the back from time to time whenever he mentions stuff he has done with his powers. Zeff just finds that hilarious. And Sanji is happy they're getting along, but extremely embarrassed when Zeff starts talking about her childhood (Law is enjoying every second of this). Then the topic of how Zeff met Sanji is brought up, and Sanji doesn't really want Law to hear it because she didn't tell him about the leg thing. And when he finds out, he's just...
Law: You didn't tell me your dad did that for you
Sanji: It's not something I like to explain, y'know? I kind of feel guilty to this day
Zeff: You're such a cry baby, Eggplant. I already told her countless times I chose to do that and it ended up saving us both! What's the problem?
Sanji: Shut up, old man, you don't get it!
Law: I do get it. The- Uh- Feeling guilty about your dad sacrificing himself. Without Cora-san... I wouldn't be here.
Zeff: Well, kid, I don't know what your father did, but be grateful instead of feeling guilty. I'm sure he's a nice man if he raised somebody who loves my girl this much.
Law: He was a good man, yes. The best. And- I- I do love her. A lot.
Sanji has a moment where she almost cries, but she doesn't!! (She does. She goes to the bathroom and cries).
When they have to go back to the ship, Zeff stops Law and says:
Zeff: You might need to eat more, that much is clear, kid. But you take care of her and that's good enough for me.
Law: Thank yo-
Zeff: But you also strike me as someone who would die for her and even though I do appreciate the effort because I would do the same, don't die on her, got it? And eat more. Eat what she makes, actually. And you also should check if you're celiac.
Law: I'm a doctor. I know I'm not-
Zeff: Then stop bitching around and eat bread like a man, for fuck's sake.
And, you know, Zeff might be a bit intimidating but he is, after all, a good man just like Cora was.

y'know, one zolu moment I don't talk about nearly as much as I should but that I love and find super interesting is the bar fight on jaya. and though I know there's mixed opinions on the latter, I also like the contrast between jaya AND whiskey peak.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
when it comes to whiskey peak... I'm somewhere in the middle. as a concept I find it interesting too, since it involves zoro doing things on his own for the sake of the crew for the first time (iirc) and luffy being faced with the possibility of zoro not acting as honorably as he believes or trusts zoro to be at that point. thing is, luffy is someone who places great value in the kindness he receives and returns it tenfold. it's something we see throughout the story and in jaya as well actually, with cricket and his crew! this is also what's attracted him to most of the straw hats (if not every) and his allies also. so in theory, I don't think luffy reacting negatively to zoro attacking the ppl who'd been kind to him and the crew for seemingly no reason is entirely out of character, especially after waking up so disorientedly, and at least not that early on in the manga. he emphasizes it too, when he shows up to fight zoro,
Tumblr media
the problem for me lies more on the actual execution of it rather than the idea as a whole. kinda goofy for luffy and zoro to drop lines like "now we'll find out who's superior" during it as if they'd had some sort of fighting style rivalry beforehand and it's kinda removed from the og point of the fight but they're dumb kids and the story can take some goofy turns at times so. shrugs.
I can't tell if whiskey peak was originally meant to have an impact or effect on their relationship afterwards (some opinions I've read insist oda was forced to include it) but if anything, it ended up demonstrating zoro and luffy are better off fighting together than against each other, even as they're going on about killing and beating the other up over a misunderstanding. it reminds me of one comment I read on a r/ddit post a while ago (about another topic though) that pointed out how in terms of fighting styles, zoro and luffy kind of complement and make up for each other's weaknesses, which is such a nice detail and layer to their relationship imo.
and assuming there was a genuine point to it all (it's more fun that way heh), I'd say that it really highlights the importance of moments like those in jaya and luffy choosing to trust zoro not to fight back against bellamy's crew.
as luffy has learned this far, zoro would never hurt anyone for no reason and if there's a "reason" it's usually, if not always, rooted in his wish and duty to keep everyone safe (in whiskey peak, the townsfolk were actually baroque works agents, bounty hunters, who had a tendency to trick pirates like them at the start of the grand line). plus, zoro may enjoy battle but he doesn't fight for revenge or feelings/motives of the sort, as he admits later in skypiea. he does, however, react when the people he cares about are in danger (*waves hand and points at anything involving luffy*), hurt (chopper in skypiea as an example, but there's plenty more) or he witnesses great injustice (like yasuie's execution in wano). he's also not the type to enjoy beating up someone weaker, much less for shits and giggles. he will even save enemies if luffy asks him to, as long as it doesn't pose a bigger or immediate (real) threat to the crew.
compare zoro saving smoker in alabasta vs him refusing to accept x drake as an ally at first due to his known status as a traitor in the wano arc, for example.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and of course jaya isn't an exception. when bellamy attacks luffy, zoro responds as usual:
Tumblr media
luffy himself stands up ready to fight too, at first. but as nami brings up the sky island and everyone mocks them for it, then bellamy specifically takes it upon himself to ridicule them - insisting on how foolish it is for ppl to "waste time" chasing their dreams, especially pirates, luffy decides not to fight back and tells zoro to do the same.
Tumblr media
this is one of those instances in which the "lu" of zolu really shines through, if you ask me. zoro's got a handful of grand gestures toward luffy on his belt, but this is one in which luffy does the heavy lifting for me. this is acknowledgedment and an insane amount of trust, a moment in which luffy's relying on zoro to understand his motives and to push back his usual protectiveness when faced with an enemy displaying a lot of hostility. and zoro gets it, stays true to the trust luffy's placing on him. he doesn't fight back, not even as nami watches and wonders why.
Tumblr media
I sound like a broken record at this point, but OP's brought up in several and different circumstances the fact that luffy and zoro are actually pretty similar. they tend to behave the same way or echo each other's words even when they're apart, share similar views on death, on growing stronger for the sake of the ppl they care about, and more so when it comes to chasing and fighting for their dreams.
in the aftermath of the bar encounter, blackbeard tells nami that luffy and zoro actually won that fight. this includes a curious panel in which luffy reminisces both shanks and ace.
Tumblr media
it makes sense why luffy shared this particular moment with zoro, when you think about it. those two are dreamers through and through, and if there's characters who can understand the importance of not only chasing those dreams but also keeping a promise, it's them - whose dreams they initially shared with ppl they cherished as kids and made promises to. for luffy there's ace and sabo, and shanks. for zoro it was kuina, then as an adult there was luffy himself. in a lot of ways, the straw hat is to luffy what wado ichimonji is to zoro. during that fight, bellamy represented everything luffy and zoro stand against both as characters and thematically speaking. and that, along with everything luffy's learned/come to know so far about zoro, is what he relied on. it's so good.
later, there's this scene with zoro and the rest, where nami wonders why zoro didn't go with luffy to face bellamy again:
Tumblr media
(fun bit here is that zoro actually asked luffy before if he needed his help. it's a small panel but cute! he trusts that luffy can handle himself, as luffy told him he could, and knows there's no stopping him when he's made up his mind lol.)
whether zoro was referring to bellamy's strength or his lack of belief in/mockery of dreams, or both, it's clear he understood why luffy chose to do what he did and asked him to stay put back in the bar, and he could relate to luffy's motives as well. as I mentioned above, it makes sense why zoro in specific would, without luffy voicing them out loud.
the nicest part is how all of these moments are a product of the writing that's gone into luffy and zoro's relationship/dynamic. when luffy chooses to trust zoro with stuff like this, there's a chunk of context that precedes it (like whiskey peak). and when zoro decides to follow him, too, it's because his loyalty for and understanding of luffy has been continually built as the story progresses which is super compelling, and also wonderful to see.

Shanks. Oh Shanks…
Yes he is kinda the guy on the beach who wasn’t lying about knowing karate.
When we meet him he’s relaxing/chilling/taking a breather in a little hidden away port to get away from the Navy. This is in a world where stories about Pirates (and many actual Pirates) are about how much chaos and pain and destruction they bring simply looking for treasure. But not Shanks and not in Foosha.
He puts people at ease because there is no reason to antagonize or bully the locals. He spends his days flirting it up at the bar. When someone does come looking for a fight, he’s not easily baited either. Some things aren’t worth it, a message he teaches Luffy. It takes a kidnapping for Shanks to step up and remind everyone that not only is he a real pirate, but a dangerous one at that.
He also has scars. Very sexy scars. And they don’t seem to turn him bitter or spur him on life. His facial scarring is a lesson about how there are people who will never fight fair and if you’re going to get anywhere you should recognize and respond appropriately. And they really give some character and contrast to him. I really can’t explain why. He also SCARIFICED HIS ARM FOR A CHILD. This man jumps into the ocean knowing full well there is a legit sea monster waiting for a snack and swims out to save a boy who had idolized him, acted out, and eaten Shanks’ treasure. What kind of Pirate risks life and limb for a kid who took their most powerful possession? THEN!! Then this man is able to TURN BACK THE SEA MONSTER WITH A LOOK. That’s all! Just a very intense look saying “you may be called a Sea King but I am an Emperor so get!” (Ps he’s not an emperor yet) And it works!!
Now yes, he is a total slut. I personally subscribe to a specific endgame ship where such behavior changes when he falls in love but man is always going to have his manwhore vibe. But they are the best? Like he’s not creeping or forceful about it. He knows he’s attractive and he knows what parties interested in a night (or so) of fun look like. And if he were in this world now or back during the golden age of piracy, I would be like “yeah walking STD” but it seems like everyone whose anyone in One Piece has a capable doctor. If he did catch something he’d appropriatly take care of it.
Shanks is also not completely irresponsible. Man is captain of a ship with a crew and fleet who like him and believe in him. He makes world altering decisions on the regular. He has been granted audiences with the 5 elders. He fights other Emperors. He’s been playing a long game. His first teacher was the Pirate King. Yes, Beckmann definitely keeps things on track at times but Shanks isn’t like a toddler running in all the directions at once. He’s got a plan and he’s been sticking to it. And it’s been working really well.
As for the showers: I personally never thought about it but…in the world of One Piece every ship is complete with all the luxuries of life. This means Red Force is bound to have baths/showers. Shanks isn’t a DF eater so he can take baths and I assume while he might not everyday he does regularly. Plus with a man whose identity/brand is tied to his hair, he’s not letting that get grimy and greasy and dirty. I do believe there is some dependable vanity here which Zoro would lack.
TLDR; Shanks may initially look like a scary threat based on reputation, build, and scaring, but he has a gift for putting people at ease so they see him as some beach bum. But right below that his dangerous aura is ready to burst out when needed (usually in aide of a friend/ally or for his plan). He is an intelligent man who knows what is happening in the World and a very talented swordsman. And the layer below is someone who clearly loves life and all the wonderful things it can offer.
In summary: he has a genuine peacefulness about him that makes him feel safe (when not actively fighting as I mean “peaceful” in relation to being capible of great violence.) and he’s just sexy as sin.
For context, they're responding to this post about Shanks
That's the dichotomy of shakes. He goes from complete dork
Tumblr media
To the absolutely terrifying Emperor of the Sea.
Tumblr media
People like to talk about the yesification and glow-up of most of the characters post-time skip. The most prominent glow-up to me was the dedorkification of shanks. That man was a complete dork for most of the pre-time skip. Now in Wano. What happened?
Tumblr media
He's got a whole new jawline and everything
Tumblr media
But at least he still has his dorky moments

Kid is always portrayed as someone who is brutal, violant and rapes women😑 is there a small chance he could be soft and romantic? 💕
... If you could see the face I'm making right now.
I... I have to assume you saw a Kid Pirates coded blog and just sent in an ask without reading anything?
... including the manga?
I want to clarify, I'm not angry - I'm all for people being free to ask what they please as they please, I'm just confounded. I think you're getting fanon/headcanon garbled with canon.
Let me do my best to stick to canon for a moment - we hear terrible things about the Worst Generation pre time-skip. Everyone has a reputation.
Including Luffy and his crew - the information the marines have on the Straw hats, and what they share to the world, is very negative. The only thing that saves Luffy is that, well, he's Luffy - he's not going to lean into any reputation, he's not even paying attention in the first place.
So people see some farm boy in flip flops and think --- Canonically, that Zoro has to be the Captain. It's a running gag.
Now Law and Kid both seem to have leaned into the reputation the marines have given them. (I could stretch this out to the entire worst generation, but I don't want to write that much).
We know Luffy's reputation is bullshit. We've learned Law's reputation, despite him trying to lean into it and convince people otherwise, is crap.
It makes sense that Kid's would be crap too - and let me be clear, I still think he's the most ruthless of the three. Kid strung up a pirate crew on crosses at the very least.
But to my point, we don't ever actually see him level some random civilian town for shits and giggles. We don't see any of the other stuff the marines say he's notorious for - all we do know is that the marine propaganda against pirates would (and, from the marines' point of view, should) be skewed in the marine's favor.
No government wants people to be sympathetic to their biggest problem, and some crews most certainly do the work for them - we're 100% aware of truly cruel and wanton pirate crews.
Luffy beats the shit out of most of them.
Anyway, my vibe on the Kid Crew is that they aren't all that big and bad - they're not nice, by any stretch of the word, but I think they are just as in character as pirates who string other pirates up on crosses as they would be pirates who help a shore-side town rebuild after a tsunami or storm flattened it.
Why for the second one? These guys grew up on a neglected island - the people might have been angry, and rough, and intimidating, but the junk heap of an island still have life on it. You can't survive harsh conditions without community, no matter how grumpy and snappy that community might be.
Makes me think of that one town in Fire Force - level the town in celebration, spend the next day rebuilding.
Anyway, none of Kid's behavior in Wano - the point where we actually get to see it for a good long while - points to some mindlessly ruthless piss of a human going around and terrorizing people for no reason. We see a guy who works together with people, going beyond what he needs to, to then cheer on the twink stealing his kill, and to celebrate peacefully afterward.
Sure, sure, recovery, but when Kid saw Luffy's new bounty and title he didn't exactly put a whole lot of effort into that "attack". Especially not after we saw what he could do if he dug his heels in.
It points to a guy leaning into a reputation that doesn't really mesh with him. But also, Luffy is Luffy.
Anyway, that's my answer.

Random thoughts -that no one wants to know- while watching Impel down/Marine Ford for the first time. (this is the last one, I promise)
ep 482 Buggy being nice to the transponder snail to make his followers not push him about defeating Whitebeard on camera only having the effect of the snail coming out of it's shell voluntarily is such a Buggy failing upwards moment. Even the snail is rooting for Buggy now lol and I say it again... Ace, you are so so so loved Ace, pls don't take the bait! After everything they had to do to save you, don't be stubborn *sighs* I can't stand Akainu. Which means Oda wrote him really well. I just don't like that his mindgames work.
ep 483 I knew Ace would die and I knew I would probably cry even though I had no strong opinion on this character before this arc... I was right. Garps shocked face when Ace sacrificed himself for Luffy... and then Garp and Whitebeards reaction makes this so much worse for me. I can't even be happy that Buggys looking hella fine with his daggers and ready to fight. Whitebeard crying and Garp telling Sengoku to hold him down, otherwise he'd kill Akainu made me ugly cry. *sobs*
ep 484 Whitebeard looming behind Akainu is such a great shot. I just wished he was able to kill Akainu. The music while Whitebeard is fighting is touching (and making me sadder. great choice) Blackbeard making his move. Again I totally forgot that dude was existing.
ep 485 Blackbeard wanting his old crew back from Impel Down is so obvious that I can't fathom why I didn't think of it sooner. Cute flashback scene where Roger and Whitebeard have a drink while sitting under I assume cherry trees. A little paradise in this dark place. I just knew it! When they showed young Whitebeard and he got asked about his dream, I knew he would say he always wanted a family. But it still broke me! I was feeling better, but now I'm crying again.
ep 486 Whitebeard's gone, I'm sad. Doflamingo, what did you do the whole time? You just sat and watched. At least Buggy can cheer me up a bit. I love the energy of his followers. Sure my friends, it was really just Buggy being merciful, he didn't just shit his pants from Whitebeard existing near him. I want future Luffy to kick Akainus ass so bad that he'll never be able to sit again Blackbeard now got Whitebeards df? Why? How? Is he two people in a bodysuit? I remember when the strawhats encountered him, Luffy and Zoro said he was more than one person. But even then, he has to somehow being able to extract it, right?
ep 487 Sengoku is a good guy/marine, right? the three admirals still running after Luffy instead of fighting Blackbeard. bummer Coby has something going on here. I now get why Crocodile is so beloved by the fandom. He came in clutch again and saved Luffy. I didn't expect that. He gave this nice little speech to Jinbe. Why is he such a hero in this arc? Buggy not only getting hit by Jinbe and Luffy midair, but also catching them and holding them both and then getting them out of harms way when Akainu attacked is my favorite thing. Even though he said he didn't want to help them he already had at that point. I did not expect Buggy to ask Law questions first! I fully expected him to just hand out Jinbe and Luffy, but NO. He's not just gonna give them to this random dude who just appeared from a submarine. He says he doesn't care, but he cares.
ep 488 Buggy still asking questions haha. Coby does have that sensual power from Skypiea, right? That's a form of Haki? Buggy holding Jinbe and Luffy and only giving them up after almost being hit by Kizarus lightbeam is gold. Cobys speech is great. He stands infront of Akainu, he's right in his assessment of the situation and he's so incredibly brave. I'm so glad Shanks is there to save him. Although I hope Akainu gets his ass beaten by trying to kill a fellow marine. (he probably won't)
ep 489 I'm happy we finally see Shanks again. Boa Hancock is being cute again. And now there's the scene that lives rent free in my head: Buggy *angry voicecrack* Nani!? *switches to sexy smirk and sexy voice mocking Shanks* "hisashiburi dana" *angry again* "DA!?" Shanks looks really good in that episode. Mihawk leaving after Shanks' arrival? Good one. I enjoy Buggy still being mad at Shanks, Shanks not knowing what is even going on, while Buggys new followers hype up Buggy so hard. (yea I definitely would be one of them) Man I just wish Shanks would kick Blackbeards teeth in. Sengoku being a real bro, letting the pirates take their fallen brothers for the funerals. that look Shanks gave Buggy there... yea. Do I need to say more?
Tumblr media
My thoughts? Impel Down and Marine ford are great arcs. I will definitely rewatch them in the future. I like Impel Down a bit more though, because after having watched Marine ford I feel drained and incredibly sad. That's it, I'm gonna crawl into a hole and just cry for a bit haha.

For the strawhat relationship thingy maybe luffy and robin??(platonically ofc)
she is kinda like a mother figure but i also think she works equally as well as just a friend
idk but i think theyre really silly and want to hear what you think as well
Okay I have the flu right now so this might not be as long as I want, but you’d be strained to call it short.
Robin and Luffy hold a special place in my heart for being the most explicit example of what being friends with Luffy can do to a Motherfucker. When Robin initially joins the crew she manipulates Luffy into taking responsibility for her, and manipulates everyone else on the crew using their abject flaws when facing an enemy (Sanji loves women, Usopp and Chopper are children who like having fun, and Nami likes money). She runs into an initial problem with getting on the good side of Zoro because Zoro believes in action above all else (like how he almost killed himself to prove Nami wasn’t bad in Arlong Park). As viewers we aren’t meant to trust Robin, and so we don't ...up until Skypeia.
Skypeia is the first time that she takes an action that would put herself in danger to protect the crew…she’s growing attached.
And who can blame her! Luffy’s heart isn’t a log pose it’s, an eternal pose meaning it doesn’t sway to unrelated distraction islands and is always accurate. He knows that Robin is a good person because she helped him not die of poisoning from Crocodile without any real reason. He’s never been afraid of her….
He’s never been afraid of her.
From Robin’s perspective this will wear off soon. She has lived her life as a dead woman, never belonging anywhere because she’s the devil’s child. She’s never been a person as much as face to throw darts at in every pirate bar and marine headquarters. She’s seeked after for either her knowledge or her power…Luffy wants neither.
Think about that. He doesn’t want either. Like what we saw with Sanji when he asked him to join his crew without (actually) seeing him fight or eating his food. Luffy wants good people on his crew and he’s not been wrong yet.
But at the same time, Luffy doesn’t dismiss either her strength or her knowledge. He understands her to be an absolute force of nature but doesn’t expect her to use that if she doesn’t want to. Luffy puts the crew's comfort above what they provide for him (which is the reason the Water 7 Usopp fight happens but that’s for another time), meaning she can kill everyone here if she wants but she can just sit in her chair and read her stories while Luffy takes care of it.
Before Enies Lobby, Robin might have assumed that Luffy underestimated her which is what her leaving was supposed to emphasize, ‘I’m too much work and I’m sorry you had to find that out now…we had fun and now it’s over’ she thought that once Luffy and Co. found out about CP9 and the buster call and her polyglyph knowledge they would take the easy way out by leaving her to die. They didn’t sign up to deal with an actual fugitive who was the sole survivor of a genocide, and she can pay them back for all that they’ve done for her by saving their lives one last time…
TOO BAD IT’S THE STRAWHAT CREW, BABY!
So they save her ass and teach her the meaning of friendship and what naught and now Robin’s in so deep she’s at like Zoro levels.
She’s crazy, she’s feral, she’s demented as fuck, and you know what she also is? A straw hat. Her crew loves her and respects her not just as a psychopath willing to break everyone’s spines nor as one of the few people in the world who can read the Road Polyglyphs necessary for Luffy to become King of the Pirates, but as another member of the spontaneous strawhat crew.
For Luffy specifically she does in fact act like a mother, but she’s like a perfect combination of mom’s that Luffy has had. Makino and Dadan. Dadan let Luffy run wild without bandaging his wounds because he doesn’t like being coddled like a child very well. Dadan’s all mama bear, violent and protective over what she has left of her cubs. Makino has that ‘normal’ mom vibe. Comfort and serenity. Someone to clap when Luffy does something cool and read to him when he’s all tuckered out. Neither of them taught Luffy the insane moral compass that he has, they only helped him grow along with it. With Dadan it was more about learning to leave the other guy bloodied and beaten, never let anyone mess with what’s yours. With Makino it was about compassion and believing people have good intentions, leaning on others whenever you need help.
Robin does both. She pets Luffy’s hair and indulges in his childish antics but she’s also raw power and protective strength. Luffy taught her to stop only using her powers for herself (more or less as a form of self-soothing, only focusing on herself as a defensive mechanism to keep herself safe) and so now she’s gonna use those powers for others. Her family. Luffy relies on her the same way he relies on any member of his crew, and in return he’s got an elite force of killing machines that will watch the world burn in order to protect him.
I don’t know if this made a lick of sense because I’m kinda drowsy and blinking in and out of consciousness but hopefully this explains everything! (I might re-read this later and re-write it when I’m not off my rocker).
Thanks for the ask!

This is my first ever attempt at fan fiction so please be kind but also I am open to constructive criticism. It is not complete but I intend to complete it soon. Please let me know if this interests you at all or if you have any ideas for how things should move forward 😁 till then I hope you enjoy!

Zoro x afab reader. SFW (for now)
————————————————————-
You don’t know when it started. That tightness in your chest when he walks by or glances your way. But it’s undeniable now. Maybe it started the day you joined the crew, a memory backdropped with the sound of cannon fire and the vague smell of blood.
I mean, he did save you after all, and that type of heroism tends to stick with people...right? But it feels like more than just gratitude and admiration. You can hear your pulse in your ears when you spar with the swordsman and it’s not from physical exertion.
The feeling scares you so much that you’ve been finding excuses to skip training sessions.
you find yourself reading alongside Robin frequently, mostly in silence but with the occasional lighthearted laugh when someone on the crew (usually Luffy) does something goofy, or a kind “Thank you” when Sanji brings refreshments and sweets.
This gives you time to think and attempt to calm the butterflies that have nested in the depths of your insides…. But also, an all too good vantage point of Zoro’s seemingly never-ending workouts.
Does he have to train right THERE? You swear he is doing it on purpose! No shirt to hide the sweat as it trails down his concentrated face and muscular form. You force yourself to focus on the book in your lap, sneaking the occasional glance hoping no one notices.
Well, it’s not on purpose you rationalize with yourself. Although he has been noticeably distant the last few weeks (around the same time you started “expanding your horizons” and “exploring other forms of training” as you told him). The proximity was clouding your brain and you can’t afford to get too distracted in the Grand Line.
Was training the only connection we had? Were the late-night drinks and conversations under the stars part of the Zoro training Regime? He even seems to be sitting further during meals…READ THE BOOK DAMMIT FOCUS.
“Maybe I’m looking too far into it….” You accidentally mumble out loud granting a curious glance from Robin who didn’t press further. You hope she assumed it was about the novel in your hands rather than your inner ramblings about a certain green-haired man in view.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s another calm day on the thousand Sunny. Just enough clouds to break up the brutality of the sun but still allow for its warmth to caress your skin. Everyone is outside enjoying the weather in their own ways. Nami is sunbathing with Robin on the deck, Luffy and Usopp are fishing and filling the air with the sound of laughter. Chopper is playfully fighting with Zoro, a scene you find myself watching with a smile. The smell of a fresh meal coming from the open door of the kitchen where Sanji prepares dinner and is peacefully whistling to himself. Franky is up in the crow’s nest repairing something you didn’t quite catch what for if you’re honest.
You make a mental note to show more interest in the kind shipwright’s work later.
The sun slowly begins to set, and everyone gathers around for dinner. Sanji absolutely outdoing himself as always with a feast fit for kings.
Zoro and you are the last in and sit across from each other in the last free seats, you can instantly feel your heart in your throat. You reach for the last spring roll at the same time as Luffy, his stretchy arms would have beat you to it if Zoro didn’t smack his hand away with an almost comedic thud and a pout from the culprit.
“Oi! Don’t be selfish you already ate half the food!” the green haired man shouts across the table before turning back to the meal in front of him, seemingly unaware that such a small act in your defense has left you flushed. you do the same, looking down at the plate to hide the pink in your cheeks.
Unknown to you, the swordsman did notice the blush across your cheeks. Although unaware of its true cause he can’t help but save the image in his head. Whatever the reason for it, he thought it looked good on you and wondered, first, about how to see it more and then, about why you’ve been avoiding him. Did he smell? Was he pushing you too hard during training? Is that why you’ve traded your time with him to spend it lounging? He suddenly felt guilty, like he had hurt you and was too stupid to remember how.
He gets up from the rowdy table, grabs a bottle of sake, and silently disappears.
You watch the doorway he vanished from for a little too long before shaking your head to try and rid yourself of the nonsensical thoughts and returning your attention to the rest of the crew who are now playfully arguing over who has eaten the worst things. Luffy is talking about some cherry pie (a mystery to you of how Luffy could not like any food) and Usopp is claiming to have eaten a rotten melon the size of a small house.
At some point you find yourself quietly leaving and wandering the deck. The cool night air is a much-needed relief on your hot skin. Being so close to everyone while also laughing and yelling over each other has left you more than a little flushed.
Zoro heard you coming up the ladder before he saw you reach the top. He was sitting with his back against the wall enjoying the stars and sake, lost in his own thoughts about a certain “new” crew member.
“Drink?” he asks offering you the bottle of sake as you situate yourself next to him…but not too close.
“Thanks, you alright?” you try and ask as casually as possible while taking a large swig of grog.
“Yeah.” His response is short, simple, and very mildly slurred.
He’s drunk! Not sure why you are surprised, you help yourself to another big drink before handing it back.
The mild pink hue on his cheeks confirms his current state.
“I hurt you?” he asks suddenly, catching you severely off guard and very confused.
“Hurt me?”
“Wont train with me anymore n thought I might of hurt ya or sum” sake slurs his words as they come out as almost a mumble.
Is he pouting????
You take the bottle back deciding he doesn’t need it anymore but that you might. After a few gulps, that you hope he doesn’t think anything of, you respond.
“No, you’ve never hurt me. At least no more than the training demands” you chuckle a bit trying to lighten the seemingly heavy mood and take another sip.
“good” followed by some more silence.
He stands, looking down on you with his good eye and offers a small smile. “You know where to find me if you decide to stop being a big baby and fight me again, I’m still undefeated” a drunken smirk that sends fire through your body and settles between your legs, makes its way across his face before he disappears down the ladder for the night.
To be continued…..?

Predictions for One Piece Live Action, Season 2
Having just watched from after the Arlong Park arc to the end of the Alabasta arc, which will likely be the plot of season 2, these are how I predict the season will go.
Assuming we will keep up the eight episode format, split into pairs by director, the episodes will go as follows:
EPISODE I and II: Everything from Loguetown to Whiskey Peak, with Loguetown making up the bulk of episode one and likely cutting off as they head down reverse mountain into the Grand Line. Episode two will cover the whale at the bottom and then cover all of Whiskey Peak, ending with Vivi joining the crew. We will also likely see quite a bit of Vivi and Igaram investigating and learning the identity of Baroque Works' leader, leading to Nico Robin calling in Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine. This call will give us the giants of Elbaf in a "Don Krieg"-style cameo, with 5 and Valentine helping Mr. 3 try to capture them, before 5 receives the call, and they leave 3 to deal with it on his own. We will also start intercutting Smoker and Tashigi's side plot following the Straw Hats into the Grand Line, taking the place of Garp and Koby's side plot from the first series (though we might see Smoker and Tashigi visit Marine Headquarters somewhere in their side plot and we get to see Vincent, Morgan, and Aidan reprising their roles, and showing Koby and Helmeppo's training).
Returning characters will include Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji, as well as Buggy and Alvida. Newcomers will include Smoker, Tashigi, Vivi, Nico Robin, Igaram, Mr. 5, and Miss Valentine for sure. Dragon's role is small enough to be awkward but still important. The old man from the tavern might stick around, but it would be fun if Luffy comes across Dragon, doesn't recognize him in the cloak, and hears the story from him. I would prefer to keep the lighthouse keeper that tends the whale, but I could see him being cut if they want to save the whale's story for Brook or something. Either Mr. 9 or Miss Monday could be cut, but I hope they stick around. If Mr. 3 or Miss Goldenweek appear, it is only a cameo. And Mr. 13 and Miss Friday will be cut altogether.
Jolly Roger titles: If not Luffy's again, I would expect a Smoker-based title with a heavy marine focus for the first. The second would include Baroque Works' skull symbol with slight Vivi touches.
EPISODE III and IV: These would take up the entire Drum Island arc. I'm not totally certain where the divide would be between them, but I'm partial to when Nami wakes up and finds Chopper working over her. This I would expect would be when Smoker visits Marine Headquarters and we get to see Garp, Koby, and Helmeppo again.
Newcomer characters would include Chopper, Wapol, Dr. Kureha (as played by Jamie Lee Curtis, obviously), Dr. Hiriluk, and Dalton for certain. Given the trend so far, I could see one of the other of Wapol's minions being cut, but I think we'll see both. We will probably get our first Ace cameo as well.
Jolly Roger titles: Episode 3 would be Wapol's Jolly Roger, with a heavy steel theme to the letters. Episode 4 would be Dr. Hiriluk's cherry blossom Jolly Roger, with Chopper's hat and a few doctor flourishes.
EPISODE V and VI: These two will bring us to Alabasta and take us from Nanohana all the way to Rainbase, with all the desert traversal in-between. The cutoff will likely be as the Strawhats approach Rainbase, allowing for the desert to take up most of Episode Five, and all of the events of Rainbase to fill Episode Six. Ace will also stick around for the entirety of Episode Five, leaving them after Yuba. We will also start intercutting with Koza and his rebels, and King Cobra and his men, getting the backstories there. The sixth episode would end as Crocodile throws Luffy's body into the sand pit.
Newcomer characters will include Portgas D. Ace, Crocodile, Bon Clay, Koza, Toto, and King Cobra for sure. The remaining members of Baroque Works are all up on the chopping block for cuts, but Mr. 1 and Miss Doublefinger are the most likely to be kept. Pell and Chaka are also both in the realm of at least one being cut, and if I were a betting man, I would say Pell would be kept and Chaka would be cut.
Jolly Roger titles: Episode 5's will be the Whitebeard Jolly Roger, with Ace's hat on it and fire everywhere. Episode 6's will be entirely based around Crocodile, with the skull mirroring him, and the colors of his casino making up the letters.
EPISODE VII and VIII: The battle in Alubarna is so meaty, I suspect they will use both episodes for the entirety of it. I'm not sure where the split will be exactly, but I'm sure the move from the castle to the underground temple will take place in Episode Eight.
Hina will likely debut here, but otherwise all major players will have already shown up in the story.
Jolly Roger titles: Episode 7's will be based around the Alabasta royal family, with touches of King Cobra, Vivi, their castle, and their officers. Episode 8's will be based on Nico Robin specifically, with her hat on the skull, and poneglyphs covering everything.
Wanted Posters will include:
Luffy - He will mug with the same expression behind it.
Buggy - It will interrupt him as he's monologuing and will shoo it away in frustration.
Alvida - If they do her makeover, she will grab it and hold it up to point out her new look.
The Giants of Elbaf - Broggy and Dorry will both knock them out of their way as they charge at each other.
Wapol - He will eat it.
Ace - He will be in the middle of eating. He will smirk and brush it away nonchalantly.
Crocodile - His will appear after he mummifies the pirate band, flashing over his face as he steps over their bodies.
Nico Robin - Hers will appear the moment Tashigi identifies her, and she will simply scowl and ignore it.
What do you think? Come back here on release date to tell me if I got it all wrong or not!

One Piece: Ep.2 - spoilers
so I'm not going to play by play this, just gonna summarize each episode as I go. Under a cut of course because its going to naturally have spoilers
Second episode wasn't as much fun as the first but it was still a really great story with good set up and building. The world fleshed out a bit as well in a 'well, THAT;S very Mad Max kind of way which honestly? I appreciate. Pirates are so popular in media right now that its nice to see the 'no, no - they're horrible' and this episode managed to do that in a way that was creepy, brutal, desperate and yet totally manga so not as bad as you know it would have been in a different type of media. All the elements were there, enough to give you plenty to think about if you wanted to look at what was circling under the water but the story only needed to hint to get to its point so it didn't deep dive and I can respect that. That's what fanfiction would be for.
Anyway, pirate clown showed up earlier in the show than I expected him to given the bump in the end of the first episode and the fact Netflix was making him a selling point. I'm going to assume he shows up later? or they just didn't want to spoil and so chose an early minor boss for their spread. I'm going to vote for a later revival and showing but we'll see.
As far as the pirate clown went he was a lot scarier than I expected him to be but that was all on the actor and the delivery. Scary pirate clown is pretty one note and flat but the actor made his facial expressions and body language much more threatening than it should have been and I appreciate that. Plus he tries to play psychological games and that was a nice touch. He really did feel like a Bad Guy, especially the way he used the villagers and the way those actors responded to him. Really all the acting on here so far is pretty top notch even from extras and its making this show.
I'd be more concerned about Luffy's connection to his hat but I seem to remember seeing manga covers for years where he still had it so unless he loses it in the final episode of this first season I think we're pretty safe. It's like a comfort stuffed animal and a promise ring all rolled into one for him and I also worry about people that let a vulnerable part of their heart be something so easy to have taken away. It's hard enough to invest that into a pet, much less an inanimate object no one else is going to value enough.
Nami is being set up for double trouble but that was pretty clear from the start and I'm looking forward to how it plays out. She's very sneaky and self-saving but not enough to make her stupid or making her give away what's working for her just to have the story make a point or be dramatic. Which also brings up how utterly bizarre some of the 'tech' elements of the show are to me. I'm totally digging it! It just adds another layer to the 'not the world you know' world building but so much of it seems sensible and then they whip out the snail phone and it throws me back to the 'ooooooh, riiiiight. NOT fantasy Earth'.
The cravat to the 'superpower' from the devil fruit is interesting. I like how its called the 'devil' because it takes away the sea's blessing, which is enough to make everyone consider it evil. As they should.
The flashbacks were well done and I really enjoyed Shanks crew. I think we can all see the 'ultimate end boss' he's going to be coming from nautical miles away but that's not a bad thing. There's enough emotional investment going on that its going to be deliciously terrible when it comes.
Also I'm enjoying the High muckety muck Marine. The pirate at the beginning 'cursing' the world with pirates looking for his treasure was genius and I love that this guy was there to see it/have it happen on his watch and is now in charge of the entire kit. He makes a much more threatening villain than Tiger-pants because he's so obviously clever. He's also got a great voice to listen to.
Zoro's quote about Luffy believing in himself was a very cool line. I'm really enjoying the dialogue. It's a little lyrical and it doesn't rely on trite banter. The banter that does show up doesn't feel forced.
All in all, the second episode gets a thumbs up from me. Well told contained story that also advanced the overall plot and showed up more of the world as well as set up plenty for later story.

Note
you're one of the most memorable authors that i liked back in my jujutsu kaisen phase and knowing you're currently into one piece now as a multishipper and i'm actually this 👌🏻 close to have a ship in one piece as well (possibly zolu or zosan tbh) thanks to you, do you ship anyone with anyone else in one piece? if there aren't, can i know your headcanons towards the one piece ships that you ship?
HI ! HELLO ! ! !
Oh, shit, "one of the most memorable authors"? Where did that come from! Genuinely, what a title. Either way, I'm honored tho, thank you so much :D Forever grateful that people letting me know they liked my stuff, so I hope you enjoyed your stay in this shit show of mine (assuming you must've been following me since, what, 1 year ago? 2 years ago?) !!! I truly thank you for giving all of my stories a chance back in JJK phase <3 and sorry if they ever broke your heart......
Now, for other ships in One Piece beside ZoLu and ZoSan (and please keep in mind that that means I also ship ZoLuSan ok HAHAH), I'll have to warn you first that this answer will wander every where since my thoughts are all over the place.
I really like Frobin's dynamics (Franky & Robin). I love them as much as I love Nami and Vivi's dynamics. Thanks to that particular scene where Robin turned into a literal angel growing a pair of wings to save Franky from falling, I guess? Also realized that Frobin is basically a ship of 'a character who has/grew up with siblings x a character who's an only child' something something. And, I know, as I write this down, a lot of people would think that 'oh what a cheap reason to ship characters like that', but I do have the tendencies of shipping characters in critical moments (?)
Or, if I'm allowed to summarize it, my One Piece ships are basically a bunch of "a character with a very specific and precise personal dream to achieve that they don't really think it might effect the others so greatly so long they get to experience a life of their own and feel truly alive" x "a character whose dream is to 'serve' other people because they know they're capable and are willing to go the extra miles to prove that it is such the greatest ability to have"
That's how I started shipping ZoLu in the first place anyway; in a huge critical moment that had a lifechanging impact. Luffy shielding Zoro from bullets on a whim on their first meeting with 0 hesitation not only because he could do it without dying but also he knew Zoro would suffer further in the most unfair way (because bullets hurt normal human, okay? AND ZORO WAS TIED DEFENSELESS) WHICH THEN turns into Zoro repaying that to Luffy right away but still he stayed by his side, even decided to devote his life for this silly lil guy who just saved him despite knowing Luffy must be a much stronger person than him because of the devil fruit he ate the sheer willpower Luffy has and has shown whenever he announces about this dream to be the king of the pirates (an even more insane dream than Zoro's, and Zoro understood this as well).
The same thing for Nami and Vivi. The build up of their bond in Alabasta was just [chef kiss] MWAH. Postponing each other's priorities to prioritizes the other's needs instead. Nami understood what a grave dread Vivi was feeling for her oppressed country she'd rather die than letting her to feel that even longer, shared sentiments and whatnot, but Vivi feared for Nami's life in the brink of death because of a deadly illness and it's louder and fiercer than anyone could expect. Their backstory are so similar in a way but they did what they had to because of different reasons entirely. This kind of mindset I believe was an offspring or some sort from how they grew up where they had to "betray" their loved ones, by abandoning them temporarily, for the sake of their loved ones' safety.
And for Frobin... Robin used to disregard her life so easily because she has no one else left that she cared about, but now, she has a dream to find the Rio Poneglyph which tells the True History of the One Piece world including the Void Century, continuing the research of her mother Nico Olvia and her old mentor Clover. While Franky on the other hand has a dream to build a ship to go on countless adventures and see that ship reach "Laugh Tale", and this dream of his was based on the discipline of kindness he's built along the people he cared about and still continues to care about despite the distance and everything.
Anyways. Those are pretty much a handful of ships that I ship aside from ZoLu that have, at least, "patterns", and a couple of layers of why-s they're interesting to ship, to me. Unlike ZoSan, which, I basically ship solely based on horny reasons-

One Piece Reaction!
I've finished Impel down and started Marineford. I'm speeding through a lot of the battles because I don't have a lot of free time in my day, and watching people shout the names of their moves doesn't really seem like a productive use of my time. This is probably one of those arcs where I'll enjoy it more if I get to read the manga.
I hope Bon Clay comes back somehow. I know he got the dramatic sacrifice treatment, but I also know Oda doesn't like killing off characters so if I don't see their body I'm gonna assume they could come back.
OKAY NOW LETS TALK ABOUT UNDERWORLD SYMBOLISM BECAUSE I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THAT IN MY LAST REACTION.
So Impel down clearly draws inspiration from Dante's inferno and the 9 layers of hell. I'm pretty sure layers 1-5 are indirectly taken from one of the layers of hell, though I'd have to refresh my memory on each one in order to remember which hell specifically.
Luffy's journey to save Ace from the Navy is SUCH an epic hero trope. The hero goes into the underworld to save someone they love (with varying levels of success).
Now, there are differences. Usually, the hero goes alone to save their loved one, but One Piece is such a found family kind of show that instead, the whole pirate world shows up to save Ace.
And I got to the episode where Ace says he wants to die to save everyone (which ain't gonna work because the navy won't give mercy to pirates). The layers of this tragedy are really piling up now. Ace would do anything to protect his family, and that is both his greatest strength and his ultimate weakness.
And Doflamingo said something early in the battle that felt like a theme statement. It went along the lines of "justice will be decided by the winners."
It is funny how my theorizing went "ace and luffy aren't biologically related" to "wait they are" to "wait, I was right the first time." I've thought for a while that Luffy must be related to Rodger, but I knew the timelines didn't add up. Ace being his kid genuinely shocked me.
Oh, and of course, there are the friends' wherabouts episodes. Sanji's stuff is... ugh. The last episode with him was playing into a trope that's more commonly used against trans men where someone is manipulated into changing their gender. It's a bad trope. I'm hoping there ends up being something at the end about how you can be a man and still be "girly" sometimes, but idk. The genderqueerness in this story is very clearly well intentioned but just keeps falling short for the sake of being funny.
(Though it doesn't help that SOME PEOPLE are transphobic every time genderqueerness comes up)
Tbh the only thing that made that part bearable was the fact that Sanji does look very good in that dress.
OKAY AND ZORO. My boy! He's fighting spooky ghosts! I hope by the end of this he learns how to cut stuff like fire and ghosts. That would be just epic. And Perona is honestly amazing for putting up with his nonsense. A wonderful pallette cleanser after the HOT NONSENSE that is Sanji's training arc.

Hello!
I really love your headcannons about Strawhats with Teen reader, that's why...
If you don't mind - Can I ask for Platonic Strawhats with Female! Teen reader that tend to be the quietest in the crew because of her shyness?
I also had and the next idea after this one- but I don't want to overwhelm you with it. Take care of yourself!
Have a nice day!
Sorry for the wait, here you go!
Luffy
He was intrigued by you
That’s why he forced you onto his ship. And then he realized that instead of having a convoluted backstory, you were shy
And quite honestly it was refreshing
Even though he likes being around Chopper and Usopp and be loud as heck, he likes spending time with you
You balance him out
And even though you’re not an adult, he’ll go to you for advice. This makes the rest of the crew confused (and low-key mad) because he doesn't want their advice
But most of the time he doesn’t take your advice anyways
I think that you two are close, seeing as he is endlessly extroverted and will break through your walls no matter how hard you try
Most of the time he leaves you to your own devices, but he will drag you to large parties and make you feel as welcome as possible
He does the same on the ship, but that was never a problem anyways because everyone likes you
Feels the need to protect you, not only because you’re a member of the crew, but also because you’re the youngest
10/10 I can see him giving you some of his food (only some)
Zoro
Ultimate big brother vibes
Likes to go to you for a quiet space because the ship can be loud
So he spends a lot of time with you… sleeping
He also half-asks questions to fill up the space and gets to know you pretty well
He also feels a need to protect you since he sees you as kinda weak (but almost everyone is weaker compared to him)
He will also feel the need to shield you from the craziness of the ship
Like sir, it’s nice that you care, but they can take care of themselves too you know?
Doesn't incorporate you into the crew since… he’s mostly sleeping. But he would try, and he would fail because they already like you
Cue him being shocked that he wasn’t your only friend on board, but to be fair he is sleeping most of the time and not watching you
He likes the calmness you bring to the ship, good for his meditation sessions (but I don't think you want to just sit there why he meditates)
I can see you having fun with him and Chopper, maybe play a board game
8/10 calm down sir, they can take care of themselves
Nami
She’s like the cool and fun older sister
She likes to dress you up in her old clothes, and then gush about how cute you look (no, not her super tiny bikinis)
She takes it onto herself to guide you through… whatever I guess
Also feels the need to protect you from dudes
I think that she gives good advice, but when combined with Robin the two of them give life-altering wisdom
You can go to her for anything from how to sew to how to manipulate people
Always gives you juice when the crew starts drinking
If the ship starts to get too rowdy she will shout at everyone to keep it down, and then turn to smile at you as if her actions were for you
She will share her tangerines with you
I think that she wants to protect you, but is frustrated at the fact that she can’t be as strong as the Monster trio (but everything works out in the end)
If you borrow money from her, she will reduce the interest (only by a little)
9/10 only downside is the interest (if you ever borrow money)
Usopp
He was high-key suspicious of you
To be fair he is suspicious of anyone and everything, and seeing as you were quiet he was on the edge
But after you saved his life, he gets all buddy-buddy (really Usopp? You got saved by a teenager)
I think the two of you would get to know each other when he’s working on a new invention, and you guys are having idle chatter
Now he tried to act like a cool older brother. Always ready to swoop in and talk about his “accomplishments”
He will do just about anything to make you laugh
I can see some crazy (but fun) times with him, Chopper, and Luffy
He would give bad advice, but occasionally he does have some piece of wisdom
He would try to protect you, but… yeah
He ends up feeling bad, and incompetent. But tell him that he was amazing or something and he’ll be fine
I think he would get frustrated when you beat him at a game of cards
10/10 he is just so fun to be around
Sanji
Also acts like an older brother
He tries to protect you from guys, saying that they’re all dogs (but then you point out that he’s a guy)
This also means he tries to limit your time around Zoro, saying that he’s a bad influence
Then the two start to fight and right as they pull you into it, Nami hits both of them and carries you off to eat or something
Gives you more food because you’re still growing
He is a surprisingly good listener and when he chimes in his advice are always good
And like all of the crew, he will try to protect you from danger (ma’am you are still a teen, why are you on this ship? Oh wait, Luffy…)
I said he acts like your older brother, but he also acts like a proud dad sometimes
Like sir, why are you crying? All they did was perform twinkle twinkle little star on the piano (Brook taught you)
He also tries to restrain his pervert tendencies around you, but when they inevitably happen he can’t look you in the eyes for several days (he also smokes more. It gets to a point where you have to confront him)
He also teaches you how to cook
8/10 he can get a little extra sometimes
Chopper
If things get too crazy on the ship, he likes to go to you
I feel like he would try to act like a big brother, but you would just pet him (sorry Chopper)
I can see Chopper trying to get you to socialize more with the crew. Just drags you out with his tiny Reindeer paws
I can see you confiding in him a lot because it’s kinda like venting to a stuffed animal (again, sorry Chopper)
He gives (almost) child-like advice, but it’s so simple and it always works
I think you would beat both him and Usopp at games, and then they would proceed to chase you around
He would try to protect you, but he also knows that you need to push yourself to get stronger, so he lets you fight some of your fights
When you end up hurt, he always makes sure to be extra vigilant with your care
I believe that you would also try to protect him, but his pride would end up hurt
I think you two would spend a lot of time in his office for a quiet place to read (and for him to do work)
He makes you help him organize stuff
10/10 a great duo
Robin
She is the kind older sister
She is such a good listener, and her advice would solve all of the world's problems
If things get crazy on the ship, you go to her. She has the presence of calm around her that just soothes you
I think she would also like to participate in dressing you up with Nami. That means you get to wear Nami’s old clothes and Robin’s old clothes
Robin always has an extra book and cup of tea reserved for you. Tea times are when you two like to ramble about anything and everything. This is also the place where you can vent and the both of you talk about your past
She would like to teach you about world history, while you listen and ask questions
She would try to teach you how to read one glyph, but if it’s too hard she stops (and low-key gets sad)
Robin also lets you help her garden. She enjoys having a person keep her company while she does the things that make her happy
She thinks that you are too adorable, and that also makes her go into a momma bear mode when she thinks you are in danger
She will yell at crew members, and she will annihilate the enemies
Robin sees you in a similar way to Chopper, so if you say something dirty or cuss, her image of you will be ruined
10/10 she is perfection
Franky
I see him as a weird uncle figure
He mostly hides in his workshop and creates weird but cool inventions while you watch him and ask what he is doing
I don’t see you two talking about important things, just you two having fun and making jokes
He is fun to watch, but when he tries to get you to participate— it’s even more fun
I can see Robin trying to shield you from him (hey, he says he’s a pervert)
He would share his cola with you (I can see some very fun crew bonding time when everyone gets cola and huddles around Franky’s new invention)
Franky is the opposite of shy, so sometimes it gets to be a bit too much
Like sir, please leave them alone for one second
I think that Franky and Usopp would try to teach you how to make things
And if you like to prank people… they’ve created a monster
Expect all three of you to get yelled at
8/10 pretty good, but he does say some stuff that you don’t get sometimes
Brook
Another weird uncle
When he asked to see your panties, both Robin and Nami slapped him so hard, he had flown off
He never asked again
I can see him joining in on the Robin history over tea, and add things in he knows from living during the period (dang he’s old)
He occasionally makes the tea you three drink
I think he would try to teach you how to use a sword, and then get yelled at so he teaches you to play instruments instead
He’s a surprisingly easy-going teacher, if you don’t practice he’s not mad. He just assumes you don't want to learn. That means he won’t teach you, which leads you to practice
He would let you peek inside of his skull and then jumpscare you. It works every time
Brook would tell you about what he did during the two-year time skip, all while you’re laughing at the fact they called him Satan
I think that being around you and Luffy would make him remember his days as a teen
Starts to get all weary like a dad (and just like Sanji)
7/10 rough start, but good ending
Jinbei
He is the dad (not like, is)
He is always concerned for your health, and whether you should be fighting or not
He told Luffy that it was ridiculous to bring a teen on board, but then he realized Luffy is only 19…
Jinbei is always there to make sure you feel included, and will often leave the crew’s festivities just to hang out with you
Honestly, his old man self likes the quiet you bring
If you ask him, he’ll tell you about Fishman history (also over Robin History Tea Times)
100% tries to protect you. I think that can make you frustrated at times, but he has saved you so you can’t be too mad
So he teaches you Fishman Karate (it gets Robin’s stamp of approval because there are no sharp objects)
Jinbei gives the best advice, again dad and old man
He’s able to see different perspectives and tell you the best course of action (that gets annoying when you just want him to take your side, but you have Nami and Robin for that)
Also is proud of you when you achieve something (part of the tears dad group)
10/10 every group needs a parent figure

oh my... that is quite sad indeed. your writing is so good I assumed you'd have some requests. nonetheless let me give you one!! I was thinking, what would monster trio + usopp do with an s/o that sleeps in really awkward positions (like, crazy sleeper) since I myself am one and I'm curious jaja. (and I also hope you have a good day/night 😌✨)
a/n: aww thank you so much for your kind words😭😭😭 you're really thoughtful for sending an ask before requesting (yk, thanks to your ask, one of my friends also sent me a request too so I have 2 requests for the first time ever omg😳) also I read your request and I was like ok this is so me ngl😨 i'm a crazy sleeper too so hehe it's been so fun writing this hc I hope you will like it🤗❤ *send hugs lots of love*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
MONSTER TRIO + USOPP with S/O who sleeps in awkward positions
Monkey D. Luffy
Tumblr media
first of all, you guys are two peas in a pod
why that? cause omg, Luffy himself is the craziest sleeper either, even worse than you
whenever you two share the same bed, you guys always find yourselves waking up in the most ridiculous position one can ever imagine
from time to time, you and Luffy even wake up with bruises all over your body, because both of you somehow end up accidentally hitting each other while asleep.
not to mention that there has to be someone falling out of bed, all the time, mostly you
this doesn't help with your back pain either
so no, Luffy is definitely not someone who you can share your bed with, such a cruel fate but you gotta move on if you wanna save your spine, darling.
Roronoa Zoro
Tumblr media
he doesn't have a problem with sleeping position, and he doesn't have a problem with your style of sleeping either
you sleep with ur butt higher than ur head? so what it's not his business after all. you sleep with ur legs bent at a 180-degree angle? well, as long as you have a good slumber he couldn't care less.
but when Zoro hears you complain about the back pain you receive from sleeping in awkward positions, he'll try his best to help
at first, he would try to wake up every time he hears you rolling out of bed to pull you back and lay you down properly.
but damn, after three times in a roll he finds it is so tiring
finally end up holding you tight in his arm until morning so that you won't be able to move around and he can have a decent sleep at last
a win-win situation but now you have a problem waking up to Zoro's hot bare chest, (and that's not necessarily good for your heart)
at least your back will be safe then.
Sanji
Tumblr media
oh no this man still find you hella cute even though you sleep in the weirdest posture ever
but he does know that it is not good for your body, so he would try to figure out some way to help
at first, he would learn from Zoro ( and no he won't admit that) to hold you when you sleep, but end up he's the one who not getting enough rest cuz he's too excited to have you in his arm the whole night
try to find another way like putting pillows around you? waking up in the middle of the night to correct your posture? nothing really works out sadly
but Sanji will give you a back and shoulder massage every morning, hoping that helps at least
will also massage you whenever you are in pain, he's more than happy to do so, cuz aw isn't Sanji the most thoughtful boyfriend ever?
Usopp
Tumblr media
*gasp* I'm gonna tell you a secret but please don't get mad at him, ok?
so this guy here has an album full of pictures taken when you're asleep
no, more than one, he has a whole collection there, capturing you in the most awkward position ever with the dumbest face ever you don't wanna know
he thinks you're cute tho, and a little bit impressive cuz how can you sleep well in that pose? he finds that kinda amazing
his room is full of patches and pillows for you whenever you are in pain
he even invented a medicine once in order to help you relieve back pain but they were all withdrawn by Chopper
pretty chill with all this and even tease you when you wake up, cuz who isn't a crazy sleeper at least one?
but don't worry all your photos are safe with him and he will take them to the grave so yeaaah
hey bae!! can u write headcanons of luffy, sanji, and nami, finding out from someone else their crewmate ( reader ) likes them? thanks!! ur awesome
Hey Lovely,
Hope you likey
Luffy
Ah yes the captain,
He definitely needed someone to tell him, he wouldn't assume anyone liked him even if he returned it.
The crew, oh my, they'd be so frustrated. I mean, they see you guys everyday, hanging out catching fish, imitating the crew, and listening to Usopp's stories. They are surprised that someone can handle Luffy the way you do, you make him a better captain.
The crew made a plan, mainly Usopp, Franky, and Nami. Their first attempt didn't go as well, they had sent Usopp to tell him. Usopp didn't flat out say it, he made up some grand story about his love with Kaya, and at the end of it said well like you and y/n. But Luffy was too amazed by Usopp's story and didn't really catch his last bit.
So after that failed attempt, Nami decided that if she wants it done right, she just has to tell Luffy.
So she sits him down, and she is like "Y/n likes you, do you like them?" And Luffy would be oblivious at first, and be like "Well duh, they're my friend. I like them😁" so then Nami explained it, maybe with a few slaps on the head. But then he realized that he likes you just as much as he likes meat.
He wouldn't make a big deal out of it, I mean you like him, he likes you. So he just flat out says to you one day, "You'll be such a great future (queen/king whichever you are) of pirates."
I mean Luffy just stating you'll be there with him, I bet it would feel awesome. From that point, he'd wait to run and explore an island with you. He'd grab your hand and just run along and wouldn't even notice if his arm was stretching because he ran too far ahead.
He would let you wear his hat constantly, no doubt about it. He would make sure you ate even if he was picking off of your plate.
He wouldn't care if you are a girl or boy, he just wants to adventure with you and would make sure you are just as respected as him.
Sanji
Now let's be real, he has a crush on nearly every female he sees so he'd be kinda oblivious when it came down to realizing someone liked him.
You've been on the crew for awhile, and damn the way he smiles at you makes your heart explode. The crew started noticing, even Zoro. No one wanted to upset you by telling Sanji about your feelings without permission.
But then Zoro, him and Sanji were arguing like usual. And he slipped up, calling Sanji such a dumbass he didn't even notice y/n's crush on him.
When Sanji hears this, oh man, that man skyrockets into the sky with a nosebleed. I mean of course he returns the affection, you are so beautiful and gorgeous to him. A person like you having a crush on him, he is through the roof happy.
You watched this unfold with a wide eyed expression, I mean how did Zoro even know you liked Sanji. He doesn't approach you immediately about it, he wouldn't want you to be anxious about it. But instead he'd try to show that he likes you back.
He'd focus on you, not necessarily ignore Robin and Nami but he is less flirty than he was before. I mean this man refuses to even hurt a lady, he wouldn't want to hurt your feelings at all by flirting with another woman.
He'd wake up in the morning, to make you your favorite breakfast and grab you your favorite drink to have with it. He'd go shopping with you in mind for his meals. And he'd plan exactly how he'd tell you he returns the affection.
It would be romantic, I mean he is one of the biggest simps ever. He would do it privately, take you to a romantic secluded spot or cleared out the ship and lit candles and set up a fancy dinner.
He'd pull out your chair, make everything super proper, and he'd flower you with compliments and confess to his feelings without necessarily bringing up yours. And would ask you to be his girlfriend, and once the deal was sealed, he'd kiss you in a respectful but passionate way.
Now if you are a guy, this would probably be a little harder on him. Not that he'd be opposed but, he definitely has some internalized homophobia, I mean look at his reaction to his timeskip island. I still think he'd act the same but with an edge of shyness.
He wouldn't necessarily call you beautiful or gorgeous but instead Handsome and Charming. He'd daydream of saving you countless times, being your knight in shining armor, he might even have a few of you saving him (he may even picture a dress on himself if it's post timeskip) .
Nami
Robin is totally who told her. Robin observed the relationship, she saw all the exceptions Nami made for them. The lack of charging them for things, letting them watch her draw maps, even letting them near the treasure.
Robin would've asked a few questions first before outting your feelings. She wouldn't want to embarrass you at all, so she'd make sure Nami returned feelings first.
She'd ask if Nami was interested in a relationship at any point, then if she was interested in anyone currently. Then she'd be like, well I noticed Y/n seems to be interested.
Nami would react nonchalantly about it, I mean she knows she's gorgeous and cute. But she'd secretly be happy about it. She wouldn't wait much time.
She'd approach you, depending on how long you've known each other will change how she responds.
She may just go up to you and kiss you real quick. And hope that you ask her out then and don't act like an idiot.
But she also may just approach you and say she knows you like her and that she likes you too and give you a kiss on the cheek.
But either way you are going to have to ask her to be your girlfriend, she'll say yes. It'll become quality time and gifts that she uses to show she likes you.
