GRIMWALKER BIOLOGY & ANATOMY STUDIES [pt 1 / ?? ]

(aka, my ideas and thoughts on how these bad but sad boys work!)

ok for starters! I tried my best to make real life connections with actual biological stuff and yeah but there are some things ima have to bullshit lol

[ ^ Basic ideas ]

Lets talk about anatomy!

From what i can tell from the grim walker ingredient book they have some pretty ... interesting ingredients...

GALDORSTONE:

Heart and Power apparently. What i can make of this is that the Galderstone not only powers and animates the non-organic materials but acts as a circulatory system, flowing blood and nutrients to keep the body stable by creating magical pulses of pressure that makes the blood flow. Blood is kind of ideal for homeostasis and living and om pretty sure we've seen hunter bleed at least once... Perhaps the Galderston can create an artificial vascular system to carry oxygen, magic, and nutrients throughout the growing body instead of just making veins from scratch. I want to say the Galderstone can generate energy for the grimwalker but that would mean they wouldn't need to eat, and I don't think that's true. I think its main purpose is just activate the magic materials and is like the generator to a car, keeping it running. If the Galderstone were to break or fail, the grimwalker probably come unglued and fall apart to its components (which would be pretty horrifying)

ORTET BONE:

Very key component! The ortet bone kind of helps form the blueprint for the species of the grimwalker, as well as supplying blood, a skeletal system, and components of DNA. The most basic definition of the word ORTET is as follows: the original plant from which the members of a clone have descended. Fun fact: since were using cloning terms, Hunter is to Caleb as Ramet is to Ortet (Ramet is an individual clone) I did research for cloning and as it turns out you kinda need a complete genome for cloning but for bullshitting reasons (which will be explained) we can clone with incomplete DNA and make synthetic dna from scratch! I hypothesis that the reason grims can look different from the ortet instead of just straight carbon copies is due to the bone that is used and how much of i there is. Like example a grimwalker made using just a toe phalange is going to look A LOT less like the ortet compared to a grimwalker made from something like the cranium and bigger bones and such. Basically smaller bones dont carry as much dna info and leads for room to fill in the blanks. Sadly this means alot of Grimwalkers had A LOT of health problems (this can range anywhere from immune system problems to liver failure which is quiet typical in clones, that and it is often that clones appear different from the ortet due to enviromental factors and influences)

[ As the image above shows, subject #103 has a very close resemblance to the ortet due to the bones that are used ] There are pros and cons to using bones! Pros being that they can hold DNA for much longer than tissue, but the thing is bones can degrade really easy if not preserved, and i don't think belos had a bottle of hydrogen peroxide laying around that he could dunk Caleb in, so let's just assume he made sure his brother's corpse was well cleaned and kept. Biggest con is the human body only has so many bones (about 206) I believe that the reason Grimwalker can generate organs is by using the ortet and making the stem cells created from bone marrow. Stem cells are very important because they can turn into different types of cells like blood and tissue cells as well as repair tissue. I believe the process of growing grimwalkers is kind of like "Self-renewal" the process in which stem cells divide and make more of the body

STONESLEEPER LUNGS:

Im just gonna assume stone sleeper had very small lungs because aint no way those t rex lungs fit in a teenage boy. I originally thought The reason that Grimwalkers can stay underground for so long is because the lungs, similar to how a stonesleeper hibernates for centuries (kind of like how wood frogs can basically cryo-hibernate) by petrifying but a grimwalker IS growing and therefore needs resources to grow, like how a baby does in the womb. So it has to be actively getting said resources so it cant be petrified. I now think the reason that grimwalkers have these lungs is because theyre easily compatible to the galderstone, which needs oxygen for the blood and that they can be easily harvested and stored in stone form. But that does give room for cool adaptations like self-petrification! (which i will get into next time :D )

PALISTROM WOOD:

Ok its says that the wood is used for keratin, which is a fiberous protein which can make all kinds of things like scales, hair, nails, feathers, horns, claws, hooves, and skin! And since its also a plant means it can grow 4 times as fast as normal keratin can! This explains why hunters hair grew so ridiculously fast in season 3, was because his hair can produce its own carbohydrates and nutrients on its own... This means his skin and surface wounds can heal quite fast! (down side is it might give him something similar to PSS (Peeling Skin Syndrome ) ...) I think Palisman is very important becasue of several reason! 1 Like palisman, it can "animate" if you will, more or less help pull off the illusion that he is alive. 2 Like mentioned before, Grimwalkers need nutrients to grow and I believe the palistrom wood aids in that! Using a process called cellular diffusion, the grimwalker can take in nutrients from the ground around them (which i theorize to be highly fertilized) through THEIR SKIN! and into the veins and flesh of the grims 3 I believe that in the process of forming, the galderstone "activates" the palistrom wood, forming into skin or hair but this process of rapid growth leaves the skin all undone and fragile because a proper cutaneous barrier was not formed yet (which is useful for being malleable. This is why Hunter's ears are so 1 .god blessed big because they are fake and molded to look like that. Its also why The grimwalker Belos possessed fell apart so easily, like he said "It wasnt ready")

SELKIEDOMUS SCALES:

This one kind of confused me because... well why do we need the seal flesh when the ortet can just regenerate it?? I think its kind of like the stuffing if you will, it also speeds up the process of producing flesh by a lot! Especially if you want to make grown grimwalkers! Im thinking that Grimwalkers don't have a set "age" theyre just as big as however many materials they are given to work with. Even though the book says they can start as babies, if you look closely there is a check mark towards the more adolescent figure, so im thinking that they are not ready to be unearthed until they reach a certain growth ima guess around the age of over 10-ish?? We don't know how young Hunter was pulled out of the floor but it seems like he was fairly young, or atleast younger. This means while Hunter appears to be 16, he might have only been living for around 5 years or so.

Now typically normal seals have a lot of blubber which is a thick layer of fat, also called adipose tissue, directly under the skin of a marine mammals. Its used for insulation. The thing is tho, it says Selkiedomus Scales, not flesh... Dont worry there are mammals that have scales like Pangolins but i dont know if these scales are like thick plated or small and stretchy. Magic bullshitting time, Im goin to assume Selkiedomus scales refers to a layer of scale-like flesh that protect the creature from boiling but is also highly malleable and easy to work with. Maybe the reason they can withstand such heat is due to unsaturated bonds of butadiene molecules mixed into the blubber that are highly heat resistant Selkie domus flesh is molded and into the relative shape of desired body and using the DNA of the ortet the flesh is reshaped and reused into the desired muscles shapes. The vascular system created by the galderstone spreads throughout the flesh and binds with it. healing together and becoming flesh, kind of like a speed up version of skin graft maturation! This is useful for growing them quickly because they don't have to grow an entire adult body from scratch so this speed up the process by eeeerrm 20 years or so lol

Thats only the basics for now, sooner or later i shall get into the more fun stuff, like adaptaions of Grim walker, the growing process, ad more!

you did, in fact, go home. then sat on your bed and cried until you couldn't  physically squeeze any more tears out of you.  so this was what heartbreak felt like. you had known him since the both of you were ten. you had have multiple crushes here and there, but they were just passing, fleeting moments, nothing of importance. until him.

you didn't know when you had first started to like him. maybe it was that time in the library where he was helping the librarian stack books. maybe it was that time in the rain where he danced in it for hours. 

maybe it was one summer day where your world just exploded in colours. 

and now it felt like it was fading back to grey.

the next day, felix came bouncing up to you.

"i got her peonies, do you think she'll like it? i told her to meet me in the garden."

when lunch came, you watched as the nervous australian carried the peonies and went to the garden.

you went home, not even bothering to call in sick. you just grabbed your bag and went home. you would deal with the consequences later.

you turned off your phone then turned over and cried again. you hated this. why did you have to fall for him in the first place?

finally, after four days of missed calls, texts, and school, you had to go back. its not like you had a choice anyways. you missed your parents. they lived overseas though, so you lived alone. but you really couldn't continue living like this for the rest of your life, even if you wanted to.

"y/nie!!!" felix exclaimed, running up to you. "why didn't you respond to my texts? are you okay? it's unlike you..."

but honestly, it did nothing to fill the felix-sized hole in your heart.

you drifted apart. he barely texted you now, barely said hi to you, barely even saw you in the hallways anymore. 

then exams were finished, and graduation started to roll around. 

you watched as they attended prom and twirled around on the dance floor giggling.

you watched as they broke up on the doorstep of his dorms, watching as felix's face fell when she dumped him for another guy.

you didn't have the heart to tell him i told you so.

so you busied yourself in your exams, earning a scholarship to your dream university. felix tried reaching out to you several times to rekindle your old friendship, but you would always politely decline, preferring to be detached instead of going through more heartbreak.

you still loved him, but the once burning passion had now been reduced to a soft flicker every now and then, sparking ever so slightly whenever you saw him in the corridors. your own felix-shaped hole in your heart hadn't decreased over the years, but your heart became bigger, expanding so that other people could fit in it. the hole would always be there, but at least there was space for healing.

you turned around in the backseat of your friends' car to see the campus you had once called home fading away into the distance and felix along with it.

it’s around eleven-something and lunch has started, you and kazuha were laying on a blanket near the rooftops of school. kazuha brought up when a fight broke out between childe and scaramouche, something about childe being too close to scaramouche’s personal space. the wind was blowing gently as you laughed, perching on one of your hands, “kazuha, they have to be into each other.”

kazuha noticed as you laughed, you shivered. he leaned a little closer, zipping you up, “you’re right, star.”

star was a nickname that kazuha gave to you in freshman year when you were rightfully upset about your mother telling that with your grades, you would never grow up to be successful as she is and only to become a random man’s housewife earning nothing other than chores that would pile up.

Obviously, you were nervous going in the practice room since you and Scaramouche aren’t on good terms. When you told Thoma, once your class was over, he wished you luck and told you to stay strong. You sigh and placed your hand on the knob. Sneaking in was always a peace of cake but right now, you wanted to get caught so you wouldn’t have to see Scaramouche.

Yet, you knew you couldn’t run away from him. You bite the inside of your cheek then open the door so fast, causing a loud woosh. The boys jump and stared at your direction. “Oh, it’s just you.” Heizou says with a monotone voice and you roll your eyes. “Who else would it be?” “Uh, I don’t know, our manager?” You close the door once inside. “Sorry, sorry. Im here though so it’s all good.”

The boys picked up on your awkwardness and Venti nudges Aether forward. The blonde looks at him surprised and all Venti did was nod to you. Aether walks up to you with a small smile. “Yn, we have something to tell you.” You look at him, curiously. “We’re going on tour.” You gasp, “For real?!” He nods and you jump into his arms. “I’m so happy for you guys!” He hugs you back. “Thank you, Yn. You tighten your grip on the water bottle as you anticipate him to do something. Scaramouche looks away, “N-No.” You gasp and burst out crying, causing all the boys to panic. “Y-Yn, please don’t cry!” Aether says, rubbing your back. “Yn, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?” Kazuha asks, searching your face as he looks for answers to your sadness. “We’re not leaving forever.” Xiao says, holding your arms to soothe you. Heizou nods, “Besides, you can always call or FaceTime us.” You cried even more. It seems that no matter what the guys said, you’ll never stop. “Scaramouche, say something.” Heizou whispers but Scaramouche doesn’t move. He stands there, looking at you break down. Scaramouche never comforted anyone before. He has to you but that was over text. He doesn’t know what to tell you verbally but he has to say something. Something that won’t make things worse.

However, him just standing there is making things worse and that’s making Aether pissed. Suddenly, Aether holds your hands and slowly brings them down so he can get a better look at your face. “Is this really about us leaving for the tour?” You look at him in shock. “W-What?” His eyebrows furrowed. “Is this really about us leaving for the tour or is something else bothering you?” He repeats more sternly. “What are you talking about?” Kazuha asks. “Yn, tell us the truth.” Aether says and you are just in shock. ‘What is Aether doing?’

“You have been acting weird.” Venti speaks up. “When you walked in, you didn’t seem like yourself. You seem more anxious than ever.” You shake you head and get out of Aether’s grip. “N-No, nothings wrong, I promise.” “Really?” Aether pushes. You nod, “Yes really. Look, I’m grateful you guys are worried but I just have a lot of weight on my shoulders right now and I think…” You sniffle. “I think I need a break.” “What?” Scaramouche voice cracks. When you said that, it felt like you were aiming it at him. That the weight is Scaramouche. You look at him at his sudden voice and you can’t help but choke up again. Aether rubs his temple. “Scaramouche, if you don’t have anything to say to Yn then you can just leave.” Everyone looks at him in surprise. “What?” You all say. Aether walks towards the smaller man. “Yn is crying because of you!” You reach for the blonde. “W-Wait, Aether!” “Why can’t you man up and say something instead of looking pitiful!” You guys never seen Aether so mad before. Venti places a hand on Aethers arm while Kazuha holds you. “Aether, that’s enough. Leave him alone and talk about this some other time.” “No!” Aether shoves his hand away.

“Scaramouche, say something or are you going to watch Yn cry for you and crawl to someone else?!” Scaramouche balls his fist. “Of course not.” “Then apologize!” Heizou crosses his arms. “Apologize? For what?” You cling onto Kazuha’s arms and whisper Aethers name. Scaramouche stares at him directly in his eyes before looking down at his feet. “I-I can’t.” “Why not?! It’s a simple sorry! ‘Sorry Yn for letting my stupid jealousy get in between us’! That’s it!” Aether takes a step forward. Xiao suddenly feels anger too and cracks his knuckles. “What did you say, Scaramouche?”

“Guys stop!” You shout but Xiao and Aether didn’t stop. Xiao grabs Scaramouche’s shoulder forcibly. “What did you say?” He asks again. Scaramouche grits his teeth as he feels Xiao dig his nails into the fabric. You rush out of Kazuha’s arms and kick the pair in the back. “I said stop!” You said and quickly stood in front of Scaramouche, arms spread wide. “Ganging up on him isn’t going to solve anything! You guys need to calm down and leave him alone!”

Scaramouche gasps and let’s out a shaky breath. “Yn, no.” He says and you turn around. “What?” “No, I…I deserve it.” Scaramouche puts your arms down slowly. “Yn, I don’t think I can meet your expectations.” You look at him startled. “My expectations? Scaramouche,” You turn around and hold his hands. “No one’s perfect and I don’t expect you to be. All I want is for you to be yourself.” You place a hand on his cheek and your thumb caressed it smoothly.

“Scara, I know we’ll have fights or disagreements and that’s normal. No relationship is perfect. At the end of the day, you’re the one I want to be with.” You give him a reassuring smile that he takes to heart. He continues to stare at you and you watch as his lips slowly quiver. You open your mouth before being tackled into a hug. “I’m sorry.” He says and you feel him hide his face in your neck. You felt wetness on your skin as his body shook. You smile and sigh, holding him.

“It’s okay.” You say and you feel him shake his head. “I’m sorry.” He repeats, his voice is more obvious that he’s crying. “I’m sorry for not trusting you. I’m sorry for saying all those stupid things about your dream. I didn’t mean to hurt you. I was scared that you’d leave me. I knew deep down you wouldn’t but the fear still got to me. I didn’t mean for us to fight because of me. I’m sorry, Yn.” You pat his head. “Don’t cry, Scara. I already cried my eyes out but that doesn’t mean you should too.” He chuckled and turns his head to side, his cheek resting your shoulder. “Okay, sorry.”

You smile and kiss his forehead. “This is sweet and all but are we going to forget the fact that Xiao and Aether almost beat the shit out of Scaramouche?” Heizou said in amazement. Aether laughs awkwardly. “I’m sorry about that. I guess I let my emotions get to me a bit too much.” You giggled, “It’s okay, Aether. I know you wouldn’t actually harm Scaramouche.” Your boyfriend shrugs. “I deserved it but my shoulder kinda hurts.” Xiao looks down at his feet. “Sorry…”

Aether pats his back. “I’ve never seen you so violent like that, Xiao.” He nods. “Of course. I’ll do anything for Yn. They’re my best friend after all.” You blinked and felt yourself tear up. “Xiao, you’re so sweet. You’re my best friend too, you all are!” Heizou raises his arms up. “Group hug!” The boys gathered around you and Scaramouche and you all hugged one another.

Once that moment was over, Kazuha asks, “Does this mean you’re really okay, Yn?” You nod, “I mean, it’s kind of true that I’ve been a bit stressed. Having to deal with my fight with Scara, the art project, trying to deal with my fake relationship at school. All types of crazy.” Scaramouche nuzzles his cheek onto yours, a way of saying he’s sorry again. “Oh yeah, how’s that working out? Your fake dating life.” You froze up and then laughed awkwardly. “It’s great! Thoma’s great and SO understanding! Actually, that reminds me,” You pull away from Scaramouche’s hold. “We need to talk about that.” You grab his hand and lead him out the room, not letting him say anything.

You guys hide in the cleaning room that’s a few feet away from the practice room. “What did you want to talk about?” Scaramouche asks, his face a bit red since the room was surprisingly small. “You know the whole thing I told you about Thoma and Diluc potentially being past lovers?” He nods slowly. “Well, I told him and it’s true.” Scaramouche doesn’t say anything for a minute. “Oh, that’s… interesting…” “You didn’t tell anyone about it, did you?” He shakes his head no. You let out a sigh of relief. “Good but I want your advice.” “I’m not good at advice.” “Just listen.”

You let out another sigh, “I know Thoma said he didn’t want me, us, telling people about this, mostly Diluc, but a part of me thinks he should know..” You look down with a frown. “I feel bad that I’m seeing Thoma when I’m also talking to Diluc and I feel like keeping this a secret will make things worse.” You look back Scaramouche. “You know saying this out loud sounds like I’m the bad guy when I’m not even in love with them.” Scaramouche laughs and flicks your forehead. “H-Hey? What was that for?” You pout rubbing the place he hurt you.

“Yn, maybe you should listen to Thoma before doing all that. I think you’re right but if you tell Diluc, wouldn’t that make things worse? He probably doesn’t want to talk to him since they’re over.” You shrug, “Maybe.. but what about Childe? He’s the one who sent me his photo. That’s a little suspicious.” Scaramouche shrugs too. “I don’t know. He does everything but the right thing.” You chuckle. “I guess.”

You both stare at one another lovingly. “Hey,” Scaramouche starts with his voice low, it kind makes your stomach fuzzy. He holds both your hands. “Whatever happens, it’ll be okay.” You smile and give his hands a slight squeeze. “Thanks, Scara.” He nods. You both continue to stare until you glance down at each others lips. You press your body closer to his and his cheeks grow warm. Your eyes slowly close as you both reach for the others touch. Until, the door knob starts to move.

Quickly, Scaramouche shoved you behind him and covers you with his whole body. The door opens revealing Venti with a raised brow. “Sorry to ruin your moment but we kind of have to practice.” Scaramouche, who’s face is now very red, nods and says, “Okay.” Venti nods also and walks away after closing the door shut. Scaramouche sighs then jumps as he remembers you’re squashed behind him.

He turns around to you in a panic. “Yn! Are you okay? Did I hurt you?” You scan yourself, “I have a few scratches but other than that, I’m good.” He frowns, “Sorry.” “It’s okay. Though,” You poke his chest with a smirk. “I found it kind of hot, you talking in a deep voice. You should do that more.” His face went different shades of red. “You’re a freak.” You pout at that. “I’m trying to lighten the mood!” “Uh huh, right.” You roll your eyes. “We should go. I’m happy that we’re okay now.” Scaramouche smiles. “Yeah.”

You both walk out holding hands. Before walking in, Scaramouche turns to you, and tells you, “I’ll be better from now on.” Then, you both walked in and the tension finally vanished away.

sanji is oblivious because well. he doesnt recognize when someone is attracted to him... and koala is oblivious because shes not 100% sure if nami likes her that way (despite being painfully obvious) (im sure koala would def know but i jsut think it's a little bit funny)

like sabo and nami writing the most romantic letters Ever to their crushes and then sanji's like "? this is from luffy's brother but for who?" Hello, my beloved Sabosan/Koanami enjoyer, may I interest you with my very very normal and not insane feelings about this idea? 🙏🏻 (I am not normal. Nor sane).

Sanji is oblivious because his self-esteem rests at the bottom of the fucking ocean and the guy can't fathom the concept of somebody liking him, even less being in love with him. He goes around the world giving love but the second somebody else returns it he's like "huh, this is nice. I wonder if this feeling has a name. I am sure they're just this nice to everybody else and it has nothing to do with their perception of me". So, yeah, trying to flirt with Sanji is... Hard. On the other hand, Koala is oblivious because, even if she accepts the possibility of Nami liking her back, she doesn't know if it's love or just a short-term crush. They're always joking about Nami having a lot of girlfriends, so for Koala, who probably has only thought about one person besides Nami romantically, it's a bit weird to guess if Nami truly has strong feelings for her.

So this makes Sabo and Nami go absolutely insane trying to find ways to make the other two realize they're in love with them. Without saying it out loud either because despite being in love and often reckless with these things... They don't want to jump to conclusions. They want to court them, or something like that. Sabo is a writer, and we all know that, so he comes up with this plan and starts writing letters to Sanji. They're the most romantic, Jane Austen, poetic letters about yearning in the whole universe. The thing is-- He doesn't personally give them to Sanji, he just leaves them in the kitchen for him to find, because he's a writer but he's also a moron. And Sanji instantly gets jealous and frustrated and "Who- Who is he talking to except me????" because Sabo isn't even that close to the rest of the crew, tbh. He's always with either Luffy or Sanji and Sanji thought they had something special going on. So it's kind of breaking his heart to find the letters, and if he needs some space between them, Sabo thinks he has fucked up by confessing and Sanji doesn't feel the same. Yay! Miscommunication! Meanwhile, Nami steals the idea like the burglar she is and starts writing letters for Koala too. Unlike Sabo, she actually does give them to her, but Koala genuinely thinks Nami is asking for her opinion?? And it makes her extremely sad, but Koala just goes "Oh! This is great, Nami. I'm sure the girl you're in love with will definitely fall for you now" and Nami wants to jump into the sea and drown.

So now you have Sanji, who's not speaking to Sabo because he feels a bit betrayed and it's hard to be next to him now that he thinks Sabo loves somebody else. And Koala, who tries hard to help Nami with the letters and wants to be next to her even if it's to support her with a crush that makes her terribly sad. And both Sabo and Nami are going through the worst time of their lives.

(And Nami being the oblivious one is also really funny because not knowing if a girl is a sapphic or not and having a "is this platonic or romantic????" crisis happens to every lesbian in the world. I raise you, btw, oblivious Sabo for the same reason because he truly thinks Sanji is girl-crazy only).

So I'm still planning Helluva Boss video reviews, but I'm gonna take a break from it for a while, might wait until season 2 ends to do an overall of the final half of the season. But yeah after season 2 I'm planning on abandoning videos for that series since I don't see it going anywhere. As for Season 2 Episode 5: ~~

WHOAH the pacing is fixed!!!!! Adam fixed his pacing issues! This episode was really well paced??? I could follow it so nicely, I was so surprised... like I know the bar is low but man it was so nice to watch a well-paced episode for once, it was pleasant.

As for the rest of the episode, ironically sexist writing, I don't even think they realized it. I don't know the proper term for this, but this has happened before in other media. They dumb down the male character so the female character doesn't even have to try or put in any effort to look better than him. Ergo, Moxxie writing off his wife for finding their first suspect. Moxie is right, they shouldn't assume the first person they see had truly done it, but he completely ignores this person the entire week. That should have been the first person they should have investigated. Moxie is typically the logical one of the group. He's smart and logistical. But he completely blows off his wife's input. He ignores their first lead and decides to waste time with popular teenagers. He's like... so insecure this episode its uncomfortable and doesn't make sense. He's literally like "ME MEMEME ME IM SO GOOD IM SO MUCH BETTER THAN ALL YOU" and im like ... these are human children Moxie ,,, what are you trying to prove,,,, what is happening right now,,,, he even gets jealous that everyone likes his wife more than him

I'm happy to see them fight, since I'm so tired of their "perfect" flat relationship, but they're fighting over something really weird. Moxie is SO out of line. Its weird to see Millie insecure. "I finally get to be somebody!" "Its nice no one is screaming at me to not kill them this time!" I laughed at the lyrics to her song. "I'm so boring and plain, why do these girls keep screaming my name?" im like YEAH MILLIE FANS.... TELL US, MILLIE FANS even when Millie got her "episode" she's not the focus. It's all about Moxie feeling inadequate and wasting time on his first mission lead, meanwhile Millie is just screwing around in the background

and in the end, Blitz calls Moxie stupid because Moxie got caught up and wasted time on their mission, basically justifying Blitz's distrust in Moxie and also wrecking any character development of Moxie's? He's always called weak and incapable, and this episode just solidifies it Who is he without Millie tbh Like if anyone should be insecure about their marriage it should be Moxie because Millie is the only ace around here anymore and Blitz manipulatively and creepily stalking his sister Barbie was uncomfortable Barbie is also a bitch, basically Blitz but female. I was expecting her to be something more than that, but nah, she's pretty unlikable

and she makes it clear she wants nothing to do with Blitz. I find it ironic that Blitz tries to break into the hospital to go visit her and doesn't give a fuck about Stolas, not visiting him at all. Watch Stolas x Blitz fans try to be like "OH STOLAS JUST HAS MORE GUARDS SO BLITZ CANT FEASIBLY BREAK INTO THE HOSPITAL TO SEE HIM....PROBABLY" nah, Blitz just doesn't care man... Blitz x Stolas is so badly written now and it makes me sad but like... are we supposed to feel bad for Blitz? He's just an asshole who stalks his sister. He ruined her life somehow in the past, and then he wrecked her new job as soon as she's out of the hospital. Like he's awful? She is too, but? I don't get the point of having them here.

Anyway this episode got a chuckle out of me once or twice. Pacing again, really nice. Millie and Moxie's personalities were out of wack. Millie even suddenly knows how to play a dozen musical instruments and suddenly has this insecurity about "being somebody" which I can't connect anything in her past to. She was well loved by her family and she scored a sweet husband and she's also Blitz's best assassin like... I WANT her to have more depth, this insecurity would be interesting, but there's nothing to support why it exists for her.

So yeah honestly, an alright episode. Hasn't bothered me as much as the others, but yeah Millie and Moxie's writing just gets more and more confused as the episodes go on. im just tired

Everyone knew you and heeseung had the perfect relationship. All the qualities that were written in books and told in fairy tales. People were always so jealous of the love you had for each other. Love support care comfort admiration endearment etc etc. but that wasn't the case behind closed doors.

It always starts this way. You say something and he says the opposite leading to useless fights over nothing. You were too similar, both being close minded and only sticking to what you believed in. even when it came to someone you supposedly 'loved'. You were both so selfish.

It's the same thing over and over again. You get offended and leave, but he brings you back. he leaves and you bring him back. Always claiming " I love you and I dont want to". But, alas here you are again fighting over you can't even remember because you let your insecurities take over both of you. Again.

"God is it my fault you're always so insecure?! I'm sick of comforting you all the time. I have my own worries tooyou know. You're just so frustrating and exhausting. I hate being with you I hate you." he yells and mutters the last part. It stuns you. How can it not? After everything you've done for him. He still choose to say i hate you?

Standing there and taking in what he said, you look up at his eyes "...i love you, im sorry Im like this." you whisper while your eyes well up with tears. he's unaffected at first, he's seen it a before. you'll cry, he'll hug you and apologize and then you'll sleep on the same bed holding each other as if nothing happened.

You'll live tomorrow like nothing happened. But this time seems different. He can tell the look in your eyes shows that your mad at urself more than him. Even after he told you that you mean nothing to him and when he basically poured salt in all your wounds.

"Maybe we should just break up for good this time and i mean it."

It's better to say everything right now than holding these words in, even after you leave each other. "I never felt loved being with you. Everything that's associated with you is fake. your smile, the look in your eyes, your laugh, everything about you is just.. fake." You say with a scoff and walk towards him brushing his hair out of his eyes and holding his cheek in your hand as you always do. Always holding him so softly and gingerly. As if he's made of glass. To you he is. He always is.

His only problem other than being a selfish prick, is that he bites more than he can chew. No matter how much he promises to change and be better. He can't. He knows that he can't, and now he's done promising, which is why this is all happening.

"Admit that you're fake heeseung. That's all you'll be." you mutter and give him a pitiful look as more tears well up in your eyes blurring your vision. Blurring the tears welling up in his eyes too.

"I'm sorry." he whispers with a broken voice. He holds the hand that's on his cheek. He holds it and squeezes it showing his sincerity this time. Showing that he means it this time. but it's too late.

You pull away sighing. Taking your coat and bag, heading straight to the door. You tell urself not to look back. You know that if you look back you'll see him again, all broken and hurt, that sight that always breaks you and pulls you back to him.

"bye heeseung, I love you." you say as you open the door. You leave as if you're just going to work, as if you're just going out and that you'll come back soon enough. But now you both know that you're leaving for the last time and for good. No going back. No looking back. No taking back anything that happened .

"sorry y/n." was the last thing you heard as you closed the door behind you.

Coming here to yell about a thing.

SO. Im like. Frustrated with the whole ‘am I queer’ thing. (Like personally for myself). And i think Im at a point where I just. Do not care anymore. Like. I could care less what people refer to me as. I dont think its important to tell people. And I just do what I want. I think my new response when asked is gonna just be ‘idk Im just me’.

Like. Im dating this person and Ive not told them any of my queer exploits and. I dont think Im going to? Is that wrong of me? That I dont feel like its important or defining enough to be brought up and have a weird awkward conversation about when I dont even have a solid answer and also Im completely comfortable being called either way? Its not like the terms they call me upset me or make me uncomfortable. I just dont think its worth the conversation of ‘well my gender might be fucked but details are unobtainable’.

Of the few friends who ive told about it, some think i should tell my parter and another thinks theres nothing wrong with it if its not a path I plan on pursuing or putting importance on in my life. Honestly, I haven’t even thought of it in months until I was talking to an old friend who knew me as exploring my queerness that I hadnt seen in a few years and he just kept asking questions and prying about the gender stuff and like. Fuck bro I dont know anymore. Is it really wrong of me to just not care anymore and want to leave that chapter of my life behind? Like Im still kinda involved in my local queer community, but more like. Its like, not *because* Im queer, but because these people are accepting of me just existing as I am. Just. I think that’s completely normal.

I live my life as a girl. People are surprised when I say I’m trans because like man I don’t like it but like it’s like yeah I don’t care enough to fight over people using pronouns other than she/her for me irl? Like it’s just not worth it and I don’t care that much.

Honestly I don’t really see much of a point in like “coming out” for myself anymore either. Like if it’s a conversation I want to have with someone then cool but do I really give a shit if the random customer I’m ringing out thinks I’m straight and cis? Not really.

Like yeah, different spaces for different things. A part of me is sad that a lot of other queer people probably don’t pick up on me being queer because I don’t really scream “QUEER” when you look at me, and that’s a big reason of why I’m going to cut my hair soon. But like I do think that’s kind of silly of me not feeling like I “look” queer enough. And honestly I know a lot of queer people who are shit and a lot of cishet people who aren’t.

I have a friend who as far as I know is cishet but just by virtue of him being autistic and nerdy he just attracts queer people. It’s like “oh he’s an honorary queer” no he’s just weird and different like the rest of us but in a different way.

There’s a reason queer overlaps a lot with like neurodivergence and physical disability/chronic illness etc. Weird just attracts weird. Who cares what flavor.

Honestly I’d rather have weird cishet friends than pretentious queer people who treat me like shit.

I’ve always said for myself that if a cishet guy was interested in me I would be fine with just being a cis girl in a relationship with a cishet guy. Like I wouldn’t want anyone being like “well he’s in a queer relationship because he’s with a transmasc genderfluid bi lesbian queer person” like nah dude if someone wants to see me as their gf and I’m comfortable with it then cool.

There are also a LOT of gay people who don’t ID as queer or even LGBTQ+. You can be LGBTQ+ whatever and not be “in the community” and you can be cis/het/allo/mono and still “in the community”.

It’s all about breaking down boarders. If YOU don’t care, no one else should care. What you tell any person you’re dating is completely up to you. Obviously some things are more important than others (like hey if you don’t want to disclose you have an STD you don’t have to! But you probably should) but queer status is personal and up for disclosure on a case-to-case basis- or just 100% or not at all.

Not to be dramatic too but i think day is going to be fully blind after the songkhla ep or maybe still at songkhla and it’s probably why the hospital scene happened and also there is a scene where you can see day’s mom and night at the rooftop. It’s going to be so sad, I’m so sure ㅠㅠ

SPECULATIONS AND PERSONAL FEARS ABOUT THE LAST FOUR EPISODES OF LAST TWILIGHT UNDER THE CUT

sorry anon im gonna take this chance to vent a little about my worries ;;;;; there are no spoilers about the ending of the novel but there are SPOILERS about future content since im gonna reference some moments we’ve seen during filming and that have not happened yet. PLEASE DON’T READ THIS IF YOU DON’T WANNA WORRY ABOUT THE ENDING OF THE SHOW. i swear im gonna be back on being positive and manifesting the best possible ending after this, but i’ve been very anxious and i need to talk about it, so yeah, i really apologize for this

the thing is. im like 99.9999999% sure that the last scene of episode 9 is gonna be day going fully blind. jimmysea have talked multiple times about this episode being their favorite and the fact that the scene on the cover of the novel is extremely important, so im pretty sure mork is gonna take day on the top of the mountain and while they’re looking at the sun going down mork is gonna ask ‘have you done everything you want?’ to which day is gonna answer, like in the mock trailer, ‘one last picture left’. he’s gonna look at mork, kiss him, and then, when day opens his eyes again, he will no longer be able to see anything

and i am completely fine with this. is it gonna be sad? yes, because it’s still a huge loss, but we’ve seen day coming to terms with it and learning that he can still live a very fulfilling life, so we know he’s gonna be alright, especially with mork by his side. it’s the afterwards that im TERRIFIED about. and again, im sure mork and day are gonna have a happy ending, all those theories about mork or night dying and donating their corneas to day are (respectfully) completely unrealistic, they're never gonna happen, but it's the way that we're gonna get to that happy ending that scares me

like two things i think will have to happen in the last three episodes:  

a reconciliation between day and night;

mork is gonna have to stop being day’s caretaker.

what we know is gonna happen thanks to the bts during the filming process is also that:

at some point there’s gonna be a hospital scene (it could also be a flashback, but im not sold on this theory);

there’s gonna be a time skip of 4 years and morkday are gonna be attending another wedding (most likely night and phorjai’s).

my main fear is not only that they’re gonna let day regain his sight, but also that they’re gonna separate mork and day for those 4 years just for the sake of drama. and i don’t like separations. i don’t like the episode 11 curse, i don’t like cheap manufactured angst, i don’t even like the ‘these characters have to be separated to find themselves before they can be together’ trope. the only show that did separation right was vice versa and i will die on this hill. when it comes to last twilight, i don’t really believe the theory of day’s mom firing mork and being the one to separate them, because i think that deep down all she wants is to see her child happy and if mork makes him happy then she’s gonna accept him. my nightmare scenario is that someone is gonna offer mork a job, mork is gonna refuse the offer so he can stay with day, day is gonna find out and think that 1) he’s holding mork back, and 2) mork thinks day can’t take care of himself just like everybody else, so he’s gonna break up with mork. timeskip. they reunite at night and phorjai’s wedding and they get back together

and i, unfortunately, would HATE this

and i swear im trying so hard to trust p’aof but i’ve already partaken in unprecedented unparalleled unmatched levels of winnery with vice versa and my brain is refusing to believe it could happen a second time so it’s preparing for the worse

i don't know if you still think about Bad Succession but i have a proposal: instead of shiv actually cheating on tom with nate, nate is actually shiv's Sexist Jerk Ex Boyfriend that she hates and is only working with out of convenience that flirts with her but she never reciprocates. but then one day tom sees nate make a move on shiv and immediately assumes that she's cheating on him, but then he doesn't get to see shiv shove him away afterwards and berate him. there's an entire arc in season 1 all about this miscommunication where tom breaks the engagement off because of what he saw and shiv is heartbroken but is determined to have tom realize it was all a misunderstanding and get him back. shiv stands outside of their apartment (that tom kicked her out of) holding up a radio playing Their Song (you can decide what it is) and tom peeks out of the window. he starts tearing up a little and there's a flashback to the night they met and that song was playing but once it fades out he shakes his head and goes "i'm sorry shiv... but we're over." before shutting the window. then one episode while at a business party nate sees shiv again. he's all like "well well well, i hear things didn't work between you and mr. minnesota. maybe it's time you give old natey a chance, eh shiv?" but then shiv is like "yeah well tom and i are going to get back together. we're just... in a rough spot right now." and nate's like "oh come on. what could you possibly see in him? you should just forget about boring tom and get with an exciting guy like me." then there's a pause and shiv is like. "okay. you really wanna know what i see in tom, nate? i see the love of my life. my biggest supoorter. i know that if i get into trouble, he'll be there to have my back. that's a lot more than i can say for an entitled douchebag like you, who's so blinded by his privilege and toxic masculinity that he can't think of anyone other than himself. yeah, tom's not from the big city, and he doesn't have the biggest house or car, but you know what? that's because he worked for what he got instead of having it handed to him, and if you think that makes him boring, then so be it. i'm more than proud to have him as my partner. and... as my future husband!" then she splashes the wine she's holding in his face before walking away and there's a shot of nate looking all shocked. she goes to sulk outside when tom comes out to sit next to her. he's like "hey... so... i saw what you said to nate. did you really mean all that?" and shiv is like "tom... of course i did." and tom's like "i thought... at the party before, that you were cheating on me with him." and shiv is like "WHAT? god, tom, no! i would never cheat on you." and tom's like "well.. now i feel so guilty. i'm sorry for jumping to conclusions, shiv." and shiv's like "and i'm sorry that i never told you about what nate was like before, tom. let's agree never to let a misunderstanding like this get in between us again!" then they kiss and the engagement is back on and they get married.

oh absolutely. and thank u for such a complete and elaborate proposal :) im obsessed w tom leaving before he can see her shoving nate away. that’s the kind of misunderstanding that would be aggravatingly dragged out over a season for sure. and it’s sad to lose the dinner party where she and roman make fun of tom’s suits, but you’re right, Bad Succession shiv would have to work up the courage to defend tom against the elitism of her peers.

i had some vague thoughts about Bad Succession tomshiv, which your ideas align with, in terms of tom and shiv being more bland and conventionally sympathetic, and this being accomplished by focusing on external interpersonal factors sabotaging the relationship, removing blame from tom and shiv themselves. the issues would be Misogyny (in the most direct, non-systemic way possible) and Her Evil Dad. the struggles within shiv regarding the harm she causes tom to maintain a feeling of safety within the relationship would get phased out pretty quick. I’m thinking when tom proposes, she’s hesitant. She says “I think you should know, before you get too close… I’m Damaged”. but over the course of their marriage she lets down her armour and learns to Love In A Healthy Way. as for their career ambitions, they would eventually learn that Love is the most important thing. tom would have an emotional moment where he says “i love you, not your money, you” (bc in this alternate universe that’s 100% unquestionably true, deep down beneath the seductions of wealth and power he’s just a boy from saint paul who fell in love with the most beautiful girl in the world) and at the end they’d run off together to a trailer park

also Their Song would be Uptown Girl. sorry to steal that from kendall’s kidnapping fantasy vehicular manslaughter extravaganza but Bad Succession would have used it here first
