I was thinking about how if my "Atreus and Angrboda will take the places of Set and Nephthys in Egypt and Anubis will be their son" crack theory is miraculously true then my "Angrboda and Sigyn will be combined into one character possibly making Vali and Narfi her and Atreus' sons" is probably not true because the one kid I'm sure will exist is Hel and if all of these theories are true together that gives them a grand total of four kids and that's just a lot of kids
And then I remember in the mythos Loki has, at minimum, six children. Debatably seven (or more) if you wanna count whatever the fuck is going on in the burnt heart myth. So. Four kids is actually pretty reasonable
"Kratos' legacy and title as All-Father will be cemented by his grandkids/descendants becoming gods in many different pantheons" is a genuine theory I enjoy and well. Loki has a lot of kids

All Father Thor, King of Asgard,
A new ruler of Hel has been chosen, the fearsome King Phantom, defeater of Pariah Dark. It is time for Asgard to prepare to pay the dues required to keep peace between the realms of the gods and of the dead. Bring the terms of your surrender to King’s Phantom’s representative on earth, Daniel James Fenton of Amity Park.
The Noble Scribe of King Phantom,
Ghost Writer
*****
“Okay so let me get this straight,” Tony Stark, Iron Man and Avenger said. “Ghosts are real.”
“Yes.” King Thor Odinson, Asgardian and god of thunder agreed.
“And they’re evil.”
“A bit of an oversimplification, but yes.” Prince Loki Odinson, sometimes villain and would be planet invader, answered.
“And the ghosts have had one ruler, the most powerful ghost in existence. And that new rulers are chosen by combat, meaning that every new ruler is more powerful than the last.”
“Yes, you’ve got the idea.” Thor said looking down at his knees for a moment.
“And since ghosts are so evil and so powerful, that means that their ruler is practically an unstoppable force of destruction.”
“Doesn’t it sound delightful?” Loki asked, to which he received a glare.
“So, for the past 10,000 years, at least, Asgard and plenty of other realms have been paying taxes to the ghost king to avoid a war. A racketeering scheme.”
“I don’t know what a racketeering scheme is but yes, the ghost peace treaty does require that Asgard pay the ghost king gold and magical weapons every century and if we fail to pay that price, then the peace treaty will be broken and Asgard will likely be forfeit.”
“That’s a racketeering scheme!”
“Well then yes.”
Tony pinched the bridge of his nose. It was clear the man’s headache was only growing stronger as he walked through the information the two gods had dumped into his lap this morning. Thor and Loki both had rushed into his lab and started babbling about world ending threats and how they might possibly be absolutely screwed.
“So, now there’s a new king. Which means a new peace treaty has to be signed.” Tony said the words ‘peace treaty’ in the same way he’d say ‘nuclear bomb’ or ‘Steve Rogers’.
“I thought you said it was a racketeering scheme?” Loki asked.
“Shut it.” Tony hissed.
“A new treaty must be signed.” Thor repeated, trying to keep the three of them on track.
“And since the last king Pariah Dark was so powerful that he made the entirety of Asgard tremble, you’re pretty sure this new king, Phantom, is probably worse.”
“Pariah Dark had the power to suck entire planets into the afterlife, destroying them,” Loki said looking at his nails. “Stands to reason that a ghost powerful enough to defeat him could do much, much worse.”
“Right. Fantastic!” Tony practically shouted.
“I don’t think anything about this is fantastic.” Thor admitted, he was ignored.
“And according to you Asgard has been paying the ghost tax for both their realm and ours since we were under Odin’s protection. And since Hela and Sutur destroyed your entire planet and your entire people are refugees, now we have to figure out how to keep an ultrapowerful ghost from wiping out our home without any way of paying him.”
“Technically we don’t know if Phantom is a ‘he’.” Loki pointed out unhelpfully.
“The letter literally says he’s a king!”
“Could be a title. What do the dead have need for gender?”
“This is not the point of this discussion,” Thor cut in before an argument about the usefulness of gender and the concept of a female king burst forth. “We’re here to figure out how to make peace with King Phantom without resulting in a war that would destroy our world and our peoples.”
“We don’t even have Earth’s mightiest heroes anymore.” Loki said, referencing the painful results of the civil war and the Accords.
“We’re fucked.” Tony decided.
“Yes,” Thor agreed. “We probably are.”

Broken - final part
Summary: The wait for Bucky's trial is finally over.
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Female Reader
Warnings: Minimal use of Y/N. Language. Innocent and broken Bucky. Mentions of Bucky's past and nightmares. A lot of fluff. My poor attempts at being funny.
Word Count: 3K
A/N: this is the last part of this story! I had originally planned on making it much longer but I honestly didn't have many ideas to go on, so I decided to use the ideas I did have and end it there. So here it is, hope you like it!
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5

Tumblr media
Slowly you start to forgive the team, starting with Peter that came to you one afternoon handing you some flowers and a teddy bear as an apology and making your heart melt. How can you stay mad at such a sweet boy?
After about a month you're back on speaking terms with everyone, except Steve and Tony.
For some reason you can't get over the fact that they started the whole civil war and were the ones to decide to cut you out of it.
Everyone tried to make you see things from their side, even Thor and Bruce that were back from New Asgard along with Loki, who couldn’t care less about the whole situation but kind of enjoyed the chaos.
After that night with Bucky’s nightmare you talked more about pretty much any subject, and he came to you everytime he needed comfort.
Bucky also isn't able to keep his hands to himself anymore, not that you mind, a feat that did not go unnoticed by the team.
You never miss the knowing looks they give each other every time Bucky hugs you or randomly grabs your hand.
Even though you couldn't bring yourself to forgive Steve yet, you start being around him more and more especially after Bucky asked you to start coming with him to his meetings with Fury.
The closer it gets to his hearing, the more touchy Bucky seems to be with you, as if his hands on you is the only thing that keeps him grounded to reality.
The day before his hearing Bucky can't get himself away from you, following you everywhere since you woke up in the same bed, a thing that started to happen more and more every time he had a nightmare.
Some nights going as far as going to sleep directly in your room without even stepping foot in his.
Steve bides his time the whole day, trying to choose his moment, which came in the early afternoon when you left Bucky on Scott's floor with Cassie while you went to yours to get some Pop Tarts for Cassie since, not surprisingly, Thor finished the ones in their kitchen.
Scott thought that spending time with Cassie, which Bucky has come to be very fond of, would help the super soldier take his mind off the trial, and he was right.
When you get to your floor, and Steve sees you're alone, he doesn't think twice about approaching you.
He's speaking before you even have a chance to realize what's happening. "Listen, I know we’re not in the best terms right now, but I want to talk to you about Bucky."
As much as you want to ignore him you know he really cares about his best friend. And since he’s been nothing but respectful of your decision to avoid him, you think that him actively seeking you out means this is important.
So you nod at him to go on and, with a relief sigh that you're actually gonna listen to him, he does. "Here’s the thing, we both know Bucky’s been through a lot…" he starts, choosing his words carefully as to not give his best friend away completely.
"He’s been doing so much better, and even I realize that’s largely thanks to you." you’re about to protest, but he raises his hand to stop you. "It is. We all see how he is when you’re around, but you don’t see how he is while you’re away on missions. He’s like a puppy just waiting for you to come back, brooding away everytime someone that isn’t you walks through the door."
You can tell he’s trying very hard not to smile as he thinks about it, but fails miserably, before shaking his head a little and getting back on track.
"Anyway, my point is you’re important to him. Tomorrow is gonna be a really hard day for Bucky and I want to thank you for being there for him. Not just for the trial, but for everything I know you do for him. And, I realize it might not be my place to say but, as the only family Buck has left, I feel like I have to tell you: please be careful with him. After everything he’s been through the last thing he needs is to get his heart broken."
Steve knows maybe he said a little too much, but he needs to know Bucky's in good hands. Even if he does trust you with his life, he also wants to know he can trust you with his best friend’s heart.
He doesn't expect you to answer, your face staying neutral the whole time he spoke, and he's about to turn away when you basically throw yourself at him, giving him the tightest hug he’s had since you started avoiding him.
All you can think about was how glad you are that Bucky has someone who cares about him as much as Steve does.
Now more than ever you can see Steve’s reasons behind his choices, how he was motivated by his love for a guy he sees as a brother, the only family he has left.
You get it, you truly do, but seeing it makes you almost cry on Bucky’s behalf.
"I promise you the last thing I’d ever want to do is hurt him." is all you say as you let go, a wordless understanding between you both that you forgive him.
You grab the pop tarts you came here for and go back to an awaiting Bucky and Cassie, who are wearing tiaras and giggling making your heart melt.
The rest of the day goes fast and soon you’re getting into bed with Bucky, not wanting to sleep by himself tonight.
"Hey," he says as he wraps his arms around you. "I just want to say, in case things go wrong tomorrow-"
"Don’t say that, Buck." you interrupt him. "Everything’s gonna be okay, and you’ll come home a free man." you say firmly.
"Doll, we both know there’s a very real chance that I’ll be found guilty and sent back to the Raft. If that happens, I don’t think I’d be able to live without you knowing this…"
Before he can say anything else, you put your hand on his mouth, effectively shutting him up. "Don’t say anything, please. You can tell me tomorrow, after we come back home together."
You can tell he’s trying really hard to hold himself back, but eventually he agrees and you take your hand away, getting more comfortable in his arms and falling asleep in each other’s embrace for what Bucky prays won’t be the last time.
The next morning comes and Bucky’s a bundle of nerves, so worried that time seems to go by in a flash.
Suddenly he’s in a courtroom, asking the judge to please repeat his rouling one more time.
A full pardon.
He can’t believe it. Yes, he has to go to court mandated therapy and has a probation period to go through with the team, but still.
Now he feels like time’s going in slow motion, all he can see it’s you as he turns to your seat next to him. You hug him with tears in your eyes as you tell him how proud you are of him and that you knew he was gonna be okay.
Somehow, you made it real for him. Hearing you acknowledge it makes him believe it and then he’s crying too, not able to hold back.
Steve puts a hand on his shoulder, making you let go of each other and turn to him, a smile so big on his face that you can see all his stupidly perfect teeth.
You all finally get home and, as soon as you enter the living room on your shared floor, you hear a chorus of “congratulations!” followed by loud noises and confetti falling everywhere.
You’re as shocked as Bucky and, as you turn to Steve you see a surprised look on his face too, which turns confused when he looks at you mirroring his own reaction, the same question in the tip of both of your tongues.
But before you can ask each other, Bucky beats you both to it.
"Did you do this for me?" he's amazed, overjoyed and then as confused as you when you both shake your heads no.
Then the mystery is revealed.
"I did it." All three of you are shocked when you turn around to the voice, thinking you were imagining it, to find a very real Tony Stark standing in front of you, the rest of the team behind him.
"You did this?" you have to make sure you heard him correctly.
"Yeah, I did. I’m amazing, get over it." And with that Tony walks away towards the bar. There he is.
You turn to Bucky and Steve and since all they do is stare at you, you just shrug and go to join the rest of the team in celebration, the super soldiers right behind you.
You joke and laugh and dance all together for hours, until eventually you find yourselves sitting scattered around the living room, various conversations going at the same time.
You're sitting on Bucky’s lap, his arms around you and your head on his chest as he jokes with Steve and Sam when you notice Tony going behind the bar, where nobody else is.
You feel the need to follow him so you kiss Bucky in the cheek and tap his arms twice signaling him to let go of you. When he does, somewhat reluctantly, you get up and walk after Tony.
You lean on the bar, crossing your arms in front of your chest. But before you can say anything he speaks, not even bothering to turn around.
"Don’t need to thank me, Cyborg deserves it.- You roll your eyes at the nickname, but decide to let it go for the time being.
"So what, you’re his biggest fan now?" You know you were kind of pushing it, but you just need to know what changed.
He turns around and you get ready for him to yell at you again, but instead he smiles in a way that was too sweet not to be genuine. Yep, Tony Stark is full of surprises.
"I’m not. But I see the way he looks at you." you raise your eyebrow at him.
"How does he look at me?"
"It's the same way I look at Pepper." He answers without skipping a beat. "I know he knows he's not good enough for you, but I can see he's trying to be. That's all I could ask for." he shrugs and turns back around.
You know he means it, as much of a genius as he is, even he couldn’t come up with a lie like that, that fast.
You stare at the back of his head while he works on his drink, both of you thinking of a way to approach the next subject the right way.
When he turns back to you he puts a glass in front of you, your favorite drink in it, and takes a sip of his own drink. After a few more moments of silence, he decides to speak first.
"I’m sorry. For keeping the whole war thing from you and for how I treated Barnes. I had a lot of time to think about it, I read all the Hydra reports we found on him, I rewatched the footage… I can see now it really was out of his control. I shouldn’t have blamed him for something he had no way of stopping. And I shouldn’t have kept something so big from you. I really am sorry."
You’re glad he finally sees things the way you do, but you can’t help yourself as you say "I appreciate it, and I forgive you, but I’m not the one you have to apologize to."
"Trust me, I know." he sighs. "Pepper already gave me the speech…" he says sheepishly.
God, you love that woman.
He makes his way around the bar and stops in front of you.
He gives you a hug and whispers in your ear. "I’m doing this for you, too. I don’t like it when you’re mad at me and I need you to know I meant everything I just said.-"
You’re a little confused at what he’s talking about until he lets go of you and walks towards the couch where Buck’s still talking to Sam and Steve.
"Bucky," he starts, and the room goes silent "I just want you to know that I’m sorry for blaming you for my parents’ death. And it’s not just because the government believes you’re innocent, after everything I’ve learned about your situation the past month I can’t not believe you were a victim and still call myself a genius. I also read some of dad’s old journals from when he worked with the Howling Commandos... You guys were friends. I realize you wouldn’t have hurt him if you had a choice. And I’m also sorry for the name calling, Terminator."
You roll your eyes with a smile at his last sentence while the others snickered at the nickname.
You go to stand next to Tony and wrap your arm around his waist and, when he wraps his around your shoulders and looks down at you, you gave him a squeeze, letting him know you're grateful to him for doing this.
You look at Bucky who doesn’t quite know what to say so you let go of Tony and make your way to sit back down on his lap, his arms going around your waist automatically. That seems to snap him out of it.
"Thank you, Tony. You don’t have to apologize, I understand why you were angry, but I appreciate it. Howard was a good man, he didn’t deserve an end like that." Tony doesn't say anything back, merely nodding and going to sit next to Pepper.
Well, that’s a start.
Everyone goes back to their own conversations and you turn back to Bucky, who's already looking up at you.
"Thank you." he says low enough so only you can hear.
"I didn’t do anything, it was all him. I told you, anyone with a functioning brain can see that you’re a good person." you tell him with a smile.
He smiles back at you, holding you tighter as you lay your head back on his shoulder while looking at your friends talking and laughing amongst each other. You're happy that things are back to normal, with the added bonus of Bucky finally being completely free.
The party eventually ends and the living room slowly empties out, the last people remaining being you, Bucky and Steve.
"Well, I’m going to sleep. You guys should too, today’s been a long day." Steve says, giving Bucky one last pat on the shoulder and, with a smile to the both of you, he gets up and leaves.
You’re sitting in a comfortable silence, not really feeling the need to get up just yet, when you feel Bucky leave a soft kiss against your shoulder, which makes you sit up a little straighter and turn to look at him, your arms going around his neck.
"We still have a conversation to finish… Are you gonna let me talk now?" He's much more confident than he was last night and you nod, curiosity now taking over you.
"Great… I’m just gonna get to the point. I like you, doll. The longer I spend time with you, the more I feel like myself. I feel at peace, like the last 70 years never happened because I know that’s not what you see when you look at me. You’ve never been scared of me, never looked at me like I was a monster. You spend  time with me because you want to, not because you have to. You don’t mind having me around even when we don’t talk and all I do is look at you. You comfort me when I’m sad, calm me down when I have a panic attack and hold me until I fall asleep after I have a nightmare. You never judge me or make me feel guilty or like I’m too much, and you never push me to talk about anything, you’re always patient and let me take my time. I truly appreciate everything you do for me and I need you to know that. And to be clear, when I say I like you I mean it in the ‘I’d like to take you out on a date’ way."
You’re almost crying now, your heart melting as you look at an expectant Bucky. You honestly have no words to reply, so you do the only thing you can think of.
You lean down and kiss him softly, feeling him kiss you back almost right away, his lips are so soft you almost moan into the kiss. After a few moments you pull away, forehead resting against his.
"I really hope that means you like me back." he says with a goofy smile, making you giggle.
"Yes, I like you too." you gave him another kiss. "You make me feel seen. You make me feel important. You make me feel safe. I love spending time with you and having you close. And I’d love to go on a date with you."
This time he’s the one to initiate the kiss and you can’t help but smile into it. Suddenly he gets up, picking you up bridal style and making you squeal in surprise.
He laughs at your face while he takes you both to your room, where he lays you gently on the bed.
"I could’ve walked, you know." You tell him while chuckling.
"I know." he answers before basically lying on top of you while you laugh, smile seared onto his face.
You hang onto each other as you fall asleep, more than glad to have found the other and both silently planning your future together.

X- Force # 2 Review
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
*Spoilers*
The issue starts with Sage monologuing about breaking into Wakanda.
One hour before, the group is talking about the change in mutant sentiments and X-Force being “off the books”… (hypocrisy, thy name is Noriko…although I GUESS Noriko DOES have some doubts lol)
Sage raises questions about the plan and while Forge argues with her, an electrical current/evil cloud crashes their plane… (I think it’s an electrical current?)
Turns out the cloud is actually magic!
Surge, Captain Britain, Rachel, and Tank are all bewitched and sent after Sage and Forge, who are unaffected,as they struggle to process what is happening.
*X-Men #180-191 is referenced, along with the Loki story from X-Men and Alpha Flight (both such are such fun story arcs, BTW!)*
Sage surrenders but the leader she is taken to sure isn’t T’Challa…
Sage actively heckles the villain and goes on about how much she hates magic…figuring out that the Anansi drum is the cause of all of this.
Sage is able to turn the magic into data with help from her goggles; and while escaping she figures out a plan to close the fracture, but to do it she needs Noriko.
Putting her goggles on Surge, Sage manages to disrupt the magic and tells Surge to take the goggles to Forge.
Noriko speed- runs (really happy to see Noriko doing this again!) to Forge, who is currently chilling out, rebuilding the X-jet while Sage is passing out because the imbalance of magic and reality is too much for her…(like handing someone a Lego set lol 😝)
The goggles cause Forge to see the solution to all this chaos and while Fake T’Challa plans to erase mutants (Hey NOW- only Wanda can obliterate her own race! 😂🤣) ; Forge knocks Fake T down before he can say the words and uses his weird fracture tracking deus Machina doohickey to reset everything by touching it to the drum… (I could go back to the beginning to find the “official” name for it…but I am too lazy 😂🤣)
The Fake T turns into “just some dude” and is taken away by the Archive…
Obligatory “Forge is Storm’s ex” comment ensues by one of the Wakandan guard (AaaaKkkkWwwAaaRrrDDD!) and they let them leave to go on another mission!
(Apparently the plane is self repairing and Forge was just hanging out while everyone was getting captured! 😂🤣🤣🤣)
 Review:
Honestly…I would probably be more forgiving of this book, if it wasn’t called “X-Force”…. Personally I think it would have actually been better off titled something else….
While in recent years, this series has definitely fallen off a gigantic cliff and combusted into flames while being eaten by rabid dogs…this is undoubtedly BETTER than Percy’s cracked run…but it’s still hard NOT to compare it against greater X-Force volumes, like the original or KYOST’s.
It does absolutely have its moments; I DO enjoy Sage and Forge…there ARE moments and dialogue that I do enjoy!…but overall I find it pretty basic in terms of writing (from what I heard- “Exceptional X-Men #1” was much the same…)
I would compare it to that Storm-centric episode in “X-Men: Evolution”…it’s definitely NOT what people remember about Evo…but it’s a passable episode…
I do weirdly enjoy Tessa/Sage, which is surprising to me since I have always seen her as a pretty “meh” character…
Similarly I would say the writer does a great job with Forge and I do enjoy seeing his dynamic with Nori…even if Nori is pretty “wet behind the ears” and more or less playing Kitty and Jubilee’s role in this book…
It’s…fine. While it’s definitely NOT “NYX” levels of excitement…I do enjoy reading it.
Predictions:
Tank HAS to be Colossus or Wrongslide…right?

if you have the time i was just wondering if you had any thoughts/headcanons about sigyn? personally my main one is that she was the one who cut the wire on loki’s mouth after the dwarves sewed it shut
usually it takes me like a month or two to get to hc asks, but this ask is phrased so sweetly and also i adore your hc so i am responding ASAP!!!
in terms of personality, i hc Sigyn to be very meek and humble. i think she is everything Loki is not, and this is fully intentional!!!
i hc that Loki and Sigyn's marriage is arranged by Odin as a way of trying to bring Loki back in line.. to tone him down.
we all know that Odin and Loki considered each other brothers,, but most other gods in Asgard don't share Odin's love for Loki. of these gods, i feel Frigg, Freyja, Tyr, and Heimdallr to be amongst Loki's least fans but these four are also very close Odin and their opinions hold a lot of sway with him.
after all of Loki's antics, i think Odin begins to feel pressure from most of his court stressing that Loki is becoming more trouble than he's worth... of course, Odin does care for Loki and recognises his value, and so, he isn't quite ready to just ditch Loki (it'll take his son dying to make Odin realise just how troublesome Loki can be :// ) and so he comes up with a plan-- if Odin can marry Loki off, maybe, just maybe, he'll become a little more sensible. he'll have someone to hold him accountable, to keep track of him.
that someone? Sigyn.
Sigyn, as i mentioned before, is very modest and sensible. she's enormously kind and endlessly patient. i think she'd have a very friendly, sweet face, always smiling.
i'm not sure where Sigyn comes from-- i definitely do not think she is Odin's daughter or has any blood relation to him,, i think she must've just been one of the ladies of the court. perhaps she was part of Frigg's entourage..
in any case, Sigyn is chosen because she's the exact opposite of Loki and Odin hopes she'll rub off on him.
Sigyn doesn't really want to marry Loki-- i mean, it's not as though she's seen him at court and admires him from a distance. she knows who he is and the kind of trouble he sometimes gets into,, but she doesn't fully comprehend how much of a trickster Loki is.
she thinks, "hmm maybe everyone's being a bit harsh on him."
Sigyn is extremely loyal. first, she is loyal to Odin. that's why she agrees to his plan to marry Loki. but as her marriage progresses, she becomes loyal to Loki because he is her husband and she is a dutiful wife.
i don't believe that Sigyn ever "falls in love" with Loki. she just tolerates him. she finds him a little amusing. she likes the way he's so confident in himself and the way he breaks the mould. even though she wouldn't do it herself. all in all. i don't think she's ashamed to be his wife. and he's not ashamed to be her husband.
i don't think their marriage is unpleasant. Loki is quite amiable towards Sigyn. at the beginning, it's mostly to keep up appearances, but as time goes, it becomes genuine.
i think Loki thinks her to be naive, but there's a purity in her innocence that he knows he doesn't have himself,, so it's like,, pleasing to see in her... if that makes sense?
anyways. Sigyn is not Loki's confidant. i think he's very careful not to detail everything about his exploits or tricks. he keeps her blind and in this way, she's never really at fault for his actions because she doesn't know. in a weird, Loki-sort-of way, it's a kindness to her.
after Sigyn has her boys,, they become her entire world. nothing brings her more joy. i think they are very important to Loki too,, maybe partially because he sees how much joy they bring Sigyn.
as for Sigyn's step-children. i don't think they have much of a relationship; Fenrir, Jormungandr, and Hel are not children in the traditional sense. nevertheless, Sigyn is never jealous of them. she'd speak kindly about them if they ever came up in conversation; that's just who she is.
when everything goes to shit, and Loki gets imprisoned,, Sigyn's children pay the price. brutally. and i think it shatters Sigyn.
it's not like she becomes mean, or cruel. she just becomes.. ghostly. she doesn't talk, or smile. she's mostly mute. she stares off into the distance. sometimes she thinks she hears her boys calling to her.
oddly enough, at Sigyn's lowest point is the time that i think Loki finds the most respect and genuine admiration for her. pride to call her his wife. because even in all of her pain,,, she remains true to her character. she doesn't seek revenge. she knows it's partially Loki's doing that her children are dead, but she still stays with him to protect him. to collect the poison from the snake.
i don't fancy Sigyn to be vengeful. she's gentle, always. it's a strength.
not to talk about my Ragnarok AU again but when Loki gets free finally, i love the idea of him being extremely protective of Sigyn. he makes sure she's safe, not just from his enemies, but from other gods on his own side who might perceive her to be "deadweight". he doesn't abandon her when she becomes frail and incomprehensive. he makes sure that she won't suffer on his account anymore.
i can't comment on how Sigyn feels about this because i think she's so broken she doesn't know how to comprehend the world anymore. she's just a shell.

Star Crossed: Chapter Five
Tumblr media
Pairing: Detective David Loki x Reader
Warnings: Swearing, Cheating, Intimacy Issues, Slow Burn, Sexual Themes, Smut, Investigative Inaccuracies. I think that’s it?
Summary: Loki can’t keep himself away from you.
- Chapter Four Here -
———————————
18+ only beyond this point
———————————————
The next few days, Loki promised himself he would try to keep away from you, and threw himself into his work.
The day after he spent the evening with you, he went to the golf course to question Melanie. She admitted to the emails, saying how Carter was this attractive older man who frequented the golf course, they struck up a relationship but it quickly faded and he stopped coming around. She said she hadn’t seen him in a few weeks and they’d ended things on sour terms.
Loki thanked Melanie and said he’d be in touch if he needed anything else.
He spent a few days trying to track down the women in the photos using Rodger’s facial recognition technology, and interviewed the few he could find, all of whom admitted to having a brief sexual relationship with Carter, but none knowing where he was or having seen him in some time.
Loki was quickly growing frustrated at the constant dead ends, and even more so that he hadn’t seen you in a few days.
Just as Loki was about to give up for the day and go home, he got a call from the forensics team leader, Marco.
“Marco, what have you found, give me some good news.” Loki asked, hopefully.
“Hey boss, we found three sets of prints in the vehicle. One is the fiancés, one we can only assume is Carters and the third belongs to a Mrs Taylor Johnson. She was booked in 3 years ago for shoplifting, nothing since then, but the address we have listed is 92 Fitzpatrick Way, might be worth checking there.” He confirmed.
“Marco, you’re the man. Thank you.” Loki hung up and left the station, he knew it was late but he had to follow this lead, as it was the only solid one he had in a while.
He drove the 20 minutes to 92 Fitzpatrick Way and pulled up outside the house. The lights were on inside and he could hear a man’s voice bellowing. “What did I fucking tell you about that goddamn console. Turn it off and come and eat your dinner!” The stern voice echoed.
“Fuckin’ A.” Loki sighed to himself, he knew this would be an awkward conversation.
He knocked sharply and heard the voice say “Who the fuck?” Before the door flew open. An angry man with a red face in a white tank top stood in the doorway.
“Can I help you?” He said.
Loki smiled and pulled out his badge, “Hello sir, I’m Detective David Loki from the Conyers Police Department, I’m hoping to speak to Mrs Taylor Johnson, does she still live here?”
“Yeah she still lives here. What’s this about?” The man asked angrily.
“We’re conducting a missing persons investigation sir, and we think she may be connected somehow. We have to rule out all possibilities. May I speak to her?”
“She’s not home right now, she went to visit her mothers for a few days.” He said, his anger calming down somewhat.
“Do you know when she will be back?” Loki asked.
“She didn’t say. Would you like me to call you when she’s back, Detective?” The man offered.
“Please.” Loki handed him his card. “Thank you sir, have a good rest of your evening.”
Loki left feeling slightly deflated, but at least this was something.
He went home and spent the night frustrated and bored, unable to take his mind off of you.
He thought about how your eyes lit up when you laughed, how you bit your lip when you were worried or nervous. Loki felt himself growing hard thinking about you biting your lip, and how good you felt against him when he kissed you. His breathing shuddered and his heart rate sped up as he tried to push the thoughts away, palming himself once over his trousers to relieve some of tension before he stood up and went to take a shower, hoping that would help.
Forcing himself to sleep that night was difficult, and when he eventually did, his dreams were plagued with you and Carter, happy together again, and Loki being discarded into the background. He woke up sweating the next morning, his mood worse than usual.
Loki went to work and tried to find what he could on Mrs Taylor Johnson.
He found that she was 25, married young and had 3 children with her husband, the man he had met yesterday. Her mother lived about an hour away in the next town and Loki had managed to find an address.
He drove to the little town and parked outside Mrs Johnson’s mothers house.
He knocked on the door and a woman opened it, looking surprised to see him.
“Hello ma’am, I’m looking for Taylor Johnson, her husband told me I might find her here?” Loki said, holding up his badge.
“Oh, she isn’t here. Is she missing?” Her mother asked, not overly surprised.
“No, no. Probably just a misunderstanding. Sorry to worry you ma’am.” He grunted and was about to walk away when she called him back.
“Officer! She might be with her boyfriend. I’m not sure how much her husband told you, but she’s been seeing someone else.” She said, looking ashamed for spilling her daughters secret.
“Do you know the boyfriends name, ma’am?” He asked, hands in his pockets as he turned around to face her.
“Yes sir, his name is Carter, can’t recall the last name.” She nodded.
“Thank you ma’am. That’s all I need for now. Have a good day.”
Climbing back into his car he sighed heavily. Still no sign of either of them but now at least he had a solid lead. Find Taylor and he’d find Carter.
Loki made the drive back to Conyers, his mind plagued with the idea that he’d lose you the moment he found Carter, but he knew he had a duty to uphold and had to do everything in power to find him. His mind raced and he kept thinking about the dream he had, we’re you were in Carters arms instead of his. Loki realised that was not something he was willing to deal with, so instead of heading to the station, he drove to your house.
He quickly closed the distance to your front door and knocked impatiently, blinking hard a few times.
You threw the door open, surprised to see Loki standing there.
“David-“ Loki grabbed you in his arms, pressing his lips against yours hungrily. You gripped his shirt in your fists and pulled him inside. Loki pushed the front door shut without breaking the kiss and pushed you up against the wall, a sudden desperation taking over.
He grabbed you by the back of your thighs and lifted you up so you could wrap your legs around him as he pinned you to the wall. His lips moved to your neck and he sucked marks into your skin. He groaned as his body moulded into yours against the cold living room wall. “David..” you whimpered.
“Hmmm?” He grunted, still kissing your neck.
“What happened to waiting?” You breathed, head thrown back against the wall as you savoured his lips against your jugular.
“Couldn’t stay away. Need you.” He mumbled, moving his lips back to yours. Your lips moved together passionately, as Loki ground his hips into yours.
Loki pushed harder against you to pin you up against the wall while he discarded his jacket and unbutton his shirt. You pushed his hands out of the way and took over unbuttoning for him. While you did this Loki lifted your dress up over your hips and tore the sides of your underwear so he could discard them. You gasped in surprise as you felt Loki’s hand on your bare ass, massaging you with strong fingers. You finished unbuttoning his shirt and tried to remove it, getting as far as his shoulders. Loki pulled the shirt off of his arms, leaving him bare chested in front of you.
You took a moment to admire him, his broad shoulders and toned muscles, how his chest was slightly hairy and how ruggedly handsome he looked, his eyes dark with lust.
Loki stared back at you in the same way, admiring how flushed and beautiful you looked, your pupils blown and panting against the wall.
“Do you want me to stop?” He asked, leaning his forehead on yours.
“Don’t you dare.” You rasped. This spurred Loki on even more, and he pulled your dress up over your head and threw it on the floor. He kissed your neck and collarbone and made quick work of removing your bra. His left hand held you up by your ass and his right hand came up to palm your breast gently. You moaned loudly at the contact, and Loki connected his lips to yours again.
You snuck your arms inbetween your bodies and began to unbuckle and unzip his trousers, tucking them down as far as you could reach. Loki removed his hand from your breast to remove his trousers completely, and then kicked his underwear off.
You were both completely naked now, and completely vulnerable. Loki took a moment to admire you and gave you one last kiss before he put you back down on the ground.
“What are you doing?” You whined, hoping he hadn’t changed his mind.
He silently took one small step back, eyes never leaving yours, and sunk to his knees.
“Oh my god.” You breathed, not sure if you were ready for what was about to happen.
His big hands traced from your stomach down to your thighs and he pushed them apart slightly. He placed gentle kisses to your core before flattening his tongue against you and lapping up your growing wetness. Your fingers tangled in his hair as he lifted one of your legs over his shoulder.
“David, Jesus… where did you learn to do this?” You moaned.
He chuckled softly into you sending vibrations through your body, you gasped loudly. He continued this for several minutes before you gently tugged on his hair, pulling him away and to his feet.
“I need you.” You panted, “do you have any.. you know?”
David frowned, “No, spur of the moment kind of thing and it’s been a while.” He admitted, standing in front of you as he peppered kisses along your neck and face.
“Ok, I’m clean, and I’m still on the pill, if you want to-“ you were cut off by Loki scooping you up in his arms and carrying you to the bedroom. He laid you down gently on the bed, his demeanour changing from rough and desperate to gentle and loving. He took each movement slowly, making eye contact with you where possible.
He climbed on top of you and cupped your cheek gently. “Are you sure?” He asked. You nodded. Loki gently spread your legs and positioned himself. Slowly, inch by inch, he pushed himself into you, moaning softly as he did so. The arm propping himself up over you, bulging and veiny, turning you on even more. The stretch of him fully seated inside you caused you to moan loudly. Loki gave you a worried look but you smiled back at him and encouraged him to move.
He slowly pulled out and back in again, finding a rhythm. His free hand wandered your naked body, memorising your curves and how soft your skin felt. His eyes didn’t leave yours until he began to pick up speed.
Your legs wrapped around his waist and you began your own rhythm, bucking into him. Loki kissed your neck and collarbone in an effort to stifle his moans and grunts. You felt so good to him, not just how tight you felt around him but just being in your presence felt good. Loki hadn’t felt this good in years, and the realisation that popped into his head caused him to slow to a stop, leaning back to look at you.
“Are you okay?” You panted, stroking his messy hair back out of his eyes.
He was quiet for a moment while he looked into your eyes, hesitant. “Y-yeah, I’m fine.” He blinked hard.
You were now worried, so you pushed him off of you and onto his back, you leaned over him propping yourself up on your arm.
“No you’re not. What’s wrong?” You asked, brows furrowed.
He chucked sweetly at you and thought it was adorable that you worried about him. He tucked a strand of hair behind your ear.
“I promise I’m fine, you just take my breath away, that’s all.” He lied.
You smiled down at him and pecked his lips.
You and Loki continue until you were both spent, and you lay in each others arms in the afternoon sun. You both felt amazing in that moment and all the other worries seemed worlds away from you now. But the reality of it was that your fiancé was out there somewhere and you still had to deal with that, and Loki was still the lead detective on this case, and he was falling in love with you. So no, he was not fine.

Warnings: Alot of angst <3, somebody kissed but im not saying who, mentions of blood, injury,
Summary: After your Lokis death and have moved on and joined the Avengers. After the aftermath of Endgame you and the other remaining Avengers all seek shelter in the new Avengers Warehouse Pepper Potts bought as a temporary replacement while the Avengers mansion is being renovated. What happened after a very tired mission. Well, you're speechless, to say the least.
a/n: I added a few more chapters because you know dreams lmao so enjoy this one !! Tell me if yall want smut soon. CuZ ye im feeling a smut scene some time soon.
You walked around the Avengers warehouse and got to the medic bay. The push the doors open, "How are her vitals."
"Well for one thin they don't make any sense."
"Ive been trying to heal her but, I can't get a signature on the dark magic... I need your magic to track it." Wanda says as her hands float above the blonde girl.
"She really does look like Loki its scary.... Like put a blonde wig make her shorter and put some eyelashes boom you got blondie here."
You rolled your eyes as your eyes traveled towards Ivars dark matter dagger. A strong dark force gutted your stomach, you could feel the evil from a mile away. You saw the veins around the stab wound as they turned black and spreaded around her stomach.
The only thing that could kill an Asgardian God. With its rusted blade and messily bandanged handle. Just as the myths say, the dagger was made for Odin the allfather but Ivar and his dagger were defetead and casted away before he could use it on him.
You closed your eyes and took a deep breathe to cast a simple healing spell.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Alright, enchantments are more than just casting especially when your doing a healing spell." Loki circled around you. You closed your book as you groaned, bored of slow paced lessons set by the prince.
"A healing spell I think we can do something more challenging than that Loki."
Loki stopped in his steps as he brought out his dagger and striked your leg.
"LOKI... AARGH.... YOU MISBIGOTTEN SON OF A LEPPERS GOAT. YOU DAFT ARSE" YOU SCREAMED AT HIM. He chuckled and tipped your chin to look at him with the bloodied dagger.
"Careful, if we go on legal terms thats treason against the prince and queen..." He grinned. "On more serious terms you need to learn how to cast the spell on yourself, this way casting it on others will come naturally."
You tried to hold the cut on your thigh, blood was seeping out continously as you winced when you tried to move your leg. "How am I to focus when im bleeding to death." the words gritting through your teeth.
"Close your eyes and breathe..." Loki sat behind you whispering to your ear. He placed his hands on yours and led them to your wound. "The spell only works when your calm." You took a deep breath and out as your shaky hand lay above your wound. "Feel the energy from your body, allow it to flow through your to your hands down to your wound."
You did as he said. Your enchantments extended to the wound as the blood started to lessen but the wound didn't close. "Now the difficult part. Closing the wound, you can't just imagine it to close, you know the spell."
You said aloud through your teeth holding in your pain. "Rense helbrede såret." Nothing happened, the blood lessen but the wound was still wide open. You were confused and irritated to say the least.
Loki nudged his nose towards the crook of your neck, sending shivers down your spine. "A spells power is through its whisper, to be a true master you must not only say it but think it."
Relaxing your hands as Loki slithered his to your shoulders, you casted in a whisper focusing on the spell imagining the wound closing and the energy flowing towards your wound. "Rense helbrede såret." your eyes glew orange as your enchantment casted on your leg closed the wound slowly from one end to the other. The stinging pain you felt a few seconds ago was gone. There was no mark no scar where there was once blood and torn muscle. You laughed aloud and jumped up from your seat cheering.
"I- I did it no way, I just casted a healing spell on my first try... Loki you are magnificent." You turned to the man who raised an eye brow. The unimpressed look which gutted you stomach and stopped yur cheering as you felt shameful.
"Are you proud of such a small spell I mastered long before I was 16 years old." You blushed in shame as you brough your head down. Looking away from him, you could still feel him walk closer to you. "Charms are not something you can play aroudn on the side either you take it seriously and master it or I never teach you again. Do you wish to be great or nothing...."
He was now merely inches from your as he pinched your chin and brought him to look towards him, "So tell me little girl..." At this point you could feel your heart about to jump out your heart at any moment.
"Great or nothing." he whispered
"Great..." you mumbled.
"Perfect." he leaned down as he placed your lips on yours.
--------------------------------------
"Perfect-
You snap back to reality.
"Perfect, I have the signature of the spell.... You can take the spear out whenever your ready Y/N..." Wanda smiled.
You blanked out as you saw the wound still corrupted but not as bloodied as it was before.
"Careful, won't asgardians burn or disintegrate when you touch the handle or something." Peter stopped your hand.
"It is merely a myth Peter." You held his. "It'll sting slightly but I'll be fine."
"Wow even asgardians have myths. It's like inception a myth in a myth." Ant man said chewing on his chips in the corner of the med bay on a spare bed.
You hold the dagger and it burned your hand the moment you wrapped your hand around it. You winced and pulled back your hand and shook off the heat. Everyone had their eyes on you as you tried again. You wrapped your fingers around the handle, the burning sensation started as you focused on absorbing the heat but it didn't work.
"Teya, your hand it's turning the same colour as the wound." Sam pointed out
Your hand was corrupted. You casted a healing spell on your hand as you held the dagger handle tighter ignoring the warnings from your teamates.
Only one of asgardian strength can pull out the dagger. But anyone who lays in the hand on the dagger, will meet death.
It was a phrase, a warning actually, you remembered like the back of your hand from your favourite tale.
You pulled the dagger out with some force as the wound on the body closed. You dropped the dagger on the ground as you did too.
You were on your knees as your hand turned black and you wrapped your other hand on it trying to heal it. The room felt like it was a million degrees as you felt the darkness travel through your veins.
"Y/N whats going on..." Sam said kneeling down beside you. "FRIDAY RADIO STRANGE FOR AN SOS."
"Yelena, get Thor, Parker make sure Barnes does not know about this make sure they stay with Loki."
"Don't tell James." You whispered to Sam
"Not a chance princess."
"Wanda hows the wound." You looked up in pain.
"Closing in. But old Asgardian magic is complicated, I need time to find a way for it to not spread."
"Sam, I'm fine." you groaned through the pain still trying to cast the healing spell on your arm.
"Ya say that to your black hand. And..... woah." Sam started to let your hand go when your hand to elbow was turning black
"I'm here..." Stephen walked through a portal.
"Her eyes." Sam said concerened as there was no white left in your eyes just pitch black.
You forced yourself to stand up. Your shaking right hand corrupted as you projected your powers towards the dagger on the ground. Focusing the dark energy to leave your body. You groaned as you saw Stephen observe the situation and walk towards your arm.
"Keep focusing project any corrupted magic into the dagger."
Strange got to position and casted a cleansing spell on you. Helping to slip the dark energy off you. You felt your powers slipping away from you as the dark matter did.
When you felt no more corrupted magic you stopped as there was no more magic to give. Your knees felt weak and you tried to walk towards the closest bed but crumble and fell like a new born baby giraffe.
"I got you gurl." Sam caught you before you hit the ground.
"That was very stupid of you..." Strange said as he walked towards the sword glowing red and black. He formed a shield around it as it levitated towards you. "Here this won't get your hand burnt."
"Y/N, your hand. It.... it, that looks like a raisin." Thor winced.
"Thank you Thor, for that obvious comment." your groaned standing up, carrying the bubble with the dagger with your undwounded hand you walked towards the blonde girl. Who seemed to be breathing better as her vitals improved. You took a deep breathe to feel her aura and her health. Which was improving slowly, slower than it must, you looked up towards the body 2 beds down. "Strange what can be evaluated of this mans vitals..."
Strange walked over to the white haired man and hovered over him. Levitating his file to his hands and read through it. "This man is, hm...."
"Check the jacket , TVA ever heard of anything like it." Sam said tossing the jacket towards Strange. Strange looked at the jacket spread wide open hovering infront of him. "Yes the TVA, yes...... I- I actually never heard of them is this made up?"
"Well there goes our backup." Sam groaned plopping himself back on the bed.
"Well there isn't anything we can do. I'll take the dagger back to my room and we'll recon with Loki tomorow... Everyone eat, the food is here get some sleep, meet up first thing tomorow morning 7 am." You said walking out the medbay. "Friday keep an eye on our guest... update us if anything."
"Yes boss." the loud speaker said before the doors closed.
"A bit random but shes can be very attractive when she gets all demanding and stern." Yelena smirked.
----------------------------------------------------
You placed the sphere down on your tv table plopping down on your bed. You winced as your injured hand grazed against the sheets, clenching it with your other hand forcing down another healing spell, nothing, the redness seemed to fade away for a moment but it still looked bad.
There came a sudden knock on the door. "Y/N??" "Go away strange..."
"Actually." Thor opened the door and gave you a sympathetic smile.
"Thor... Hows-
"Your hand, does it hurt- is it corrupted- how are you do you feel well?" Thor rushed over to your side and sat down on your bed. "Let me see maybe I can be of an assistance.'
"If I remembered correctly you failed enchantment and healing lessons set by your own mother." you pulled your hand away.
"I have improved..." Thor said crossing his arms.
"Of course you have." You stood up and walked to your closet to change into something more comfortable.
"I'm sorry..."
"What?"
"I can't go through this again."
"No one is forcing you to be on this assingment. You may return to new asgard and take a break."
"You should be as well."
"Thor the team needs atleast 1 person who knows Loki."
"What if they didn't." Thor said plainly. You turned towards him confused, but you knew where he was getting to. " What if but for one moment we were selfish, what if we were not heroes, mere asgardians who simply needs to be born, live, then die."
"Thor-."
"You were right..." Thor sobbed, tears forming around his eyes. "It's just like Ragnarok all over again." He stared at the ground.
You walk towards Thor and lifted his chin up. "What can I say to the brother who has been my strength for centuries ..." You sighed "I know with Asgard gone, our duties blur with the destinies we thought we could have lived. For once... I really have nothing to say."
"He looks so much like him." Thor laid his head against your stomach. "I couldn't bear myself to get to know him."
You sighed and stroked his hair back. "You need not talk to him unless absolutely necesarry."
"Falling inlove with him... Loving my brother seems to be the one thing I cannot prevent myself from doing." Thor choked out. "Even though I know the outcome I can't help a part of myself to hope."
"Lets eat... you always feel better after we eat. We shouldn't think about this right now." You brought Thor up. As he leaned forward and embraced you.
"I miss him."
"Me too."
"It's been hard..."
"I know." You sniffled as you stopped the moment and stared out your window. You looked up to him. "Shall we join the others for dinner? "
"We shall." he smiled down as you placed a soft kiss on his cheek.

Note
I am sorry if you have already gotten an ask like this, but I must admit that I am curious. Which avengers runs would you recommend as must reads? Of course, with special reference to stevetony.
So the thing is that there are A LOT of Avengers runs. We are currently on volume 9 of Avengers, and that numbering doesn't even include things like New Avengers, Mighty Avengers, All-New All-Different Avengers, all of which were the main team at some point. (There are of course also a bunch of other teams; Steve is currently on the Uncanny Avengers again.)
If you're looking for Steve and Tony specifically, off the top of my head, these are the main-team volumes that have had both Steve and Tony on them: Avengers vol 1, 2 (technically), 3, New Avengers vol 1, Avengers vol 4, Avengers vol 5, Avengers vol 8. They aren't always on the team at the same time, but that's everything that might conceivably contain them both.
So. I have a lot of recs.
For about the first half of volume 1, basically everything that shows up on lists of classic Avengers stories are a good bet. You definitely at least want the first 16 issues because that's when Steve and Tony first become teammates. But, yeah, things like the Korvac Saga and the Kree/Skrull War are probably things you will want to read anyway. (The Korvac Saga is the time Steve punches Tony in the face that, weirdly, fandom doesn't talk about much.)
Tumblr media
I know volume 1 has nearly 400 issues but you can actually knock out everything after about #230 because that's approximately when Tony leaves the team because he's drinking again (there are some issues afterwards of the Avengers, mostly Steve, expressing concern) and eventually goes to the West Coast Avengers, and he and Steve aren't main-team together until vol 3. Tony does come back for the big events, though. But, yeah, you can basically stop slightly after Steve learns Tony is Iron Man (216) if you want them as regular teammates. In terms of what you might need to know from the second half of volume 1, the big thing that shows up in Steve/Tony fic is Operation Galactic Storm, because Steve and Tony have a big ol' fight by the end of it, and eventually end up resolving everything else they've fought about in arcs like Armor Wars (you did not ask for Iron Man recs, but, you know, maybe read that). Other than that, there's not much you need to know for Steve/Tony purposes because they mostly aren't together. But if you want to read things that are good anyway, I would highly recommend Under Siege, in which the Masters of Evil invade the Mansion (and destroy the only photograph Steve has of his mother). (There is a recent follow-up issue to Under Siege -- Avengers: Loki Unleashed -- by the original writer, Roger Stern, in which Tony does show up in New York to help the team rebuild.) It's not part of Avengers, but you might also want to consider reading some of the big events. I mostly mean Infinity Gauntlet when I say this. The other events in Avengers v1 that get fic mentions are The Crossing and Onslaught, but I swear you don't have to read them.
Volume 3 is my personal favorite and I think it really hits the sweet spot of being a classic Avengers run where everyone lives in the mansion and are friends together, but with more modern art and storytelling conventions. Steve and Tony aren't on the team together for the entirety of the Busiek/Pérez run which is the first half of the volume (and in fact Steve leaves for a reason that is Not Great), and it's not the absolute shippiest volume in the world but I think it's an incredibly solid run. Like, if you want A Really Good Avengers Run, read this run. Steve and Tony are back on the team for most of the second half of the run, which includes Red Zone. You absolutely want to read Red Zone.
After this, Marvel mostly starts new volumes when the creative team changes, which makes them slightly easier to keep track of, except then there's about five years where there isn't a comic called "Avengers," which is more confusing again, so there's really no winning here. Anyway, after vol. 3, we get Avengers Disassembled (which you probably should read just because you should know what happens) and the mansion explodes and everyone moves into the tower and we get New Avengers.
The first half of New Avengers vol. 1 -- which is the beginning of Bendis' Avengers run -- is what a lot of Steve/Tony fans (including me) imprinted really hard on. There are about twenty issues of them putting a team together and being co-leaders and it's really sweet and they work amazingly well together and you will probably really like it... and then Civil War happens and everything is bad and wrong and then Steve dies and stays dead for a few years and that is, uh. Less happy. You will probably want to read all the stuff after that anyway. I have a reading order for that around here somewhere.
Eventually Steve comes back to life and Avengers Prime happens (and you should read Avengers Prime) and we get Avengers vol. 4, which is the end of Bendis' Avengers run. I actually really enjoy vol 4. It is my Underrated Fave. Steve only rejoins the team, technically, for the second half of the run (for the first half he's running the Secret Avengers, which he hates), but he's around for a lot of the first half anyway because he just can't stay away from Tony. It's an interesting Steve/Tony dynamic because Steve remembers Civil War and he's pretty depressed and pretty angry and it's kind of like "what if you couldn't stand to be in the same room with the person you loved most?" because they clearly want to be around each other but they don't really seem to remember how to be friends with each other anymore but they still have a lot of feelings about each other and the best they can manage is A LOT OF SCREAMING and they're like "is this how friendship works???" and the rest of the team is like "no???? stop screaming." Because of course they want to scream at each other about their feelings in public in front of all their friends like two people who have a normal amount of feelings about each other.
Tumblr media
This is Avengers v4 #9. This is their teammates watching them having a screaming fight. I wasn't kidding.
And then halfway through they figure out how to be friends again and because it's their particular kind of friendship it involves, like, Steve just gently touching Tony's neck while they are having a conversation.
Tumblr media
That is Avengers v4 #18. You'd think Steve would rather put his hand on Tony's shoulder. Like a regular friend. You would really think he would do that. That doesn't appear to be the thing Steve is doing here.
Issue 19 gives us this panel which is basically their entire relationship:
Tumblr media
The last arc of v4, where they get Jan back, is one of my favorite Avengers arcs. It's just... the classic Avengers being Avengers, and it's a lot of fun.
So, yeah, Avengers v4 is my Underrated Fave. But also it probably helps to have read the entire rest of Bendis' Avengers run first (or at least New, Mighty, and the major events -- Civil War, Secret Invasion, Dark Reign, Siege), which is a lot to ask.
And then you get Avengers vol 5, which is Hickman's Avengers run. Reading this run is kind of an all-or-nothing thing, because it tells one story that goes through Avengers v5, New Avengers v3 (if you're wondering what happened to v2, it's just that it's a team neither Steve nor Tony were on), Infinity, and probably also Secret Wars, in a very precise order. This is about a hundred issues. (If you are deeply into Hickman's work, before this you would want to read Secret Warriors and his Fantastic Four run. Which is about the same number of issues again.) It's a big commitment.
Tumblr media
Hickman's run was the run that was going on when I joined this fandom -- I actually got into 616 Steve/Tony the week that Avengers v5 #29 came out, which was a hell of a week to pick -- and I think honestly I liked it better when it was coming out. Hickman is a very plot-driven writer, which means that a lot of big epic stuff happens, but it also means that characters often get slotted into positions in the narrative because someone needs to do a thing and I feel like there's often not a lot of consideration about whether this particular character would do that thing. When this was the first run I was reading, I didn't have a feel for the characters and I trusted that Hickman knew them better than I did, but at this point I have read enough Avengers that I have developed Opinions (as every comics fan does at some point; comics is kind of unique as a fandom in a "build your own canon" way) and my opinions are not really the same as Hickman's. Also at the time, it hadn't ended yet, and I thought the ending was a disappointment.
However, if what you want is a big, epic, universe-changing Avengers story in which Steve and Tony are main characters and how they feel about each other is absolutely integral to the plot... well. That's what Hickman's Avengers run will get you. As a Steve/Tony shipper, it's hard to imagine there ever being another Avengers run where Steve and Tony's feelings for each other are what so much of the run hinges on. So this is that.
After that, the universe ends (don't worry, it's fine), and then there's a period of time where Steve and Tony are on different teams. Then Steve is secretly evil for a while, and then Tony is dead for a while (while Steve is secretly evil), and then we get Avengers vol 8, which is Jason Aaron's run, which recently ended. Steve and Tony were both there and neither of them were evil or dead, which was nice, and somehow this run lasted five entire years and I just thought it was... mostly okay...? Steve and Tony didn't have a lot of interaction with each other. Some of the events during this time period were pretty good, though. AXE Judgment Day was the standout for me, though I think a lot of us who like villain AUs have mined and are continuing to mine Secret Empire for some angst material. That was before Aaron's run started, though.
Currently we are on Jed MacKay's volume 9, and Steve is not on the main team, though Tony is.
So, yeah, I'd have to say that my picks are some of the classic v1 arcs, v3, at least the beginning of NA v1, v4 provided you have read everything after NA v1, and v5/NA v3 if you're into that. Hope that helps!

Hey Lise, I know this is asking you to harken back to your MCU days but did you ever come across a meta post that was like, "we shouldn't compare Loki and Bucky's trauma; Loki's trauma is much more like Steve's pre-serum trauma and look at how ✨awesome✨ Steve is and how he dealt with that same trauma? Loki has no excuses!" Because I did and it still makes me mad to think about to this day.
If I'm remembering the post you're thinking of properly - and I definitely may not be, I could be thinking of a different post entirely (the staple of "compare the antagonist's trauma to a protagonist's trauma, comment on how the protagonist handled it sooooo much better and how that indicates that the antagonist deserved what he/she/they got, because the way somebody handles trauma is determinative of their goodness or evilness as a person" is a recurring tradition across time and fandoms, I'm sure there are multiple posts), that's not actually what I got from the one in question? perhaps it was just my lens, but (again, if I'm thinking of the same post), I recall it being relatively morally neutral, or at least more about looking at the ways in which "actually while the easy comparison is loki and bucky due to the position they occupy in the narrative, loki and steve have more in common in some ways and that's interesting" and I read it as, personally, a bit of a stoki manifesto.
like, "actually these characters people don't tend to associate/look at together have some very interesting parallels! isn't that neat?" more than anything coming with a moral judgment.
but getting this ask made me go back into the depths of my blog (truly, the depths) to track down the post I'm at least thinking of, and remarkably enough actually managed to find it (given that the post in question is from 2013), and...reading it from the perspective of Fandom Discourse in 2023 I can definitely see what it is you're saying, and I think if I saw it in Fandom Edition 2023 that's probably how I would read it, too, and get annoyed about it. but looking at it from the perspective of where things were at that time, before the great villain/victim discourse of Winter Soldier kicked in, I actually feel a relative minimum of judgment from the post? Like, it does describe the different choices steve and loki make in response to their experiences in positive/negative terms, but it doesn't then progress to (at least in my reading) "and that's why loki is evil and NO EXCUSES" (Fandom 2023 Edition), but stays at just...letting it be about divergent character journeys coming from similar-but-different places? idk.
like, at the very least this one acknowledges that the "bad" character was genuinely hurt and having an understandable emotional reaction. which is not necessarily something one sees these days.
idk. maybe I'm being too generous. but then, I am more inclined to be generous to a post made in 2013 concerning this, when the pattern of discourse in fandom was a little different, than I would be reading a similar post now. perhaps that's unfair.
but I did link this specific post in several "why you should ship stoki" masterposts at the time, so if your read on this post is accurate then I feel very okay about taking it elsewhere.

The soundtrack for season 2 is unbelievable. I thought nothing could beat season 1 music, but Natalie Holt did it again. I’m in awe. I can't wait for Vol.2.
I’m not a musician, I don’t really distinguish different instruments apart from general terms, but for myself I summarised that strings mainly belong to Loki and Sylvie, the theremin to TVA and Mobius, chorus/voices to HWR and Victor Timely. And again, it comes in three.
Burden of Wisdom
This is the first track for season 2 and it actually starts with the same whispery voices that can be heard in He Who Remains, which is the last track for season 1! I recommend listening to both in chronological order. The contrast between them, the character and gravity they convey. Ugh!
Theremin, chorus and strings are intertwined in a heartbeat-like sound. In this track you can actually hear a bit of the TVA theme but performed on Loki’s strings, as if he's accepted his fate paved for him and Sylvie by HWR. It does sound like a burden.
One Shot
It’s complex music with a lot of drama, hope and despair but also a happy ending. And it is a complicated sequence when Loki time slips to the future, is pruned and gets back to the present. The harp and chorus sound almost asgardian. It’s very stringy, and there are Sylvie’s strings this time too, and an epic, heroic build-up and Loki’s iconic fanfares when he is pulled from the time and soft lands on Mobius. To me personally this is very Sylkius somehow
Temporal Loom
It is the hard of the TVA, so the music sounds like a heartbeat, slightly irregular, quickening by the end. The whispers, and then the epic chorus. You can clearly see a small fragile man on the gangway against this monstrous merciless machine.
Zaniac
This is a banger. 70s disco beat, something from a James Bond movie. But if you listen closely, you can hear strings from Loki Green Theme in the background. They sound ominous but not loud enough for Brad to take it seriously just like he underestimates his opponents just a moment later. Loki’s strings and TVA’s theremin make pretty damn good combo, I love it I love it I love it so much.
Delivery
Such hopeful, pensive music. You know the history was altered that very moment and can’t be undone, this boy will change everything for better or for worse. In the end, the ultimate power in the universe are books in right (or wrong) hands. Chorus is there and is very prominent, not a whisper but almost angelic choir.
Time to Go
I looooove how this one starts so non-HWRy! Very playful, funny and slightly chaotic which suits Victor’s luminary persona that he puts on to hide his vulnerable soft self. It also has Loki’s iconic fanfares, performed by a woodwind this time. It doesn’t match with Loki’s appearance like in One Shot, but still is a really nice touch. And then it’s calm, pensive and somehow lonely. And that’s how Victor is, really.
O. B.
OB’s theme sounds like something from the future. His main notes are simple, optimistic tones arranged with electronic background. It stands out from all other TVA personnel related music. Just like him: a genius unstoppable engineer, alone in his department who won’t hold a grudge for this, always busy, always happy to see his colleagues and work in a team
Your Girl
Hauntingly beautiful and tragically romantic, but with undertones of static, Jaws and a villain theme from a horror movie.
I don’t wanna stop but I will because I feel like I’m starting to repeat myself and don’t have enough words to describe music. No, no, okay, one more
Tricks
The thrill of the chase. Brad's personality aside, it's terrifying to be chased by someone you can neither outrun nor outtrick. Makes you think what would happen if Loki suddenly changed his mind and turned into a full mode villain. Q&A has a similar vibe but with far more dark undertone.
okay I really need to stop here
All I wanna say is, Natalie Holt knows how to convey the essence of a character through music

☀️ INTRODUCTION ☀️
Hi, my name is Raven. I'm a very, VERY newly practicing pagan, and this is my sideblog to keep track of different posts or information as well as my personal journey with the deities, particularly the ones I follow.
I am plural, and we collectively use they/he/zey. We won't specify or sign off, but this does change who we worship or devote ourselves to, as not all of us are pagan and those who are follow different paths. Please note that we are bodily a younger adult but over 18 and will interact with others with this in mind.
I currently consider Apollon my "patron deity" (I am aware this is a term aimed more towards other forms of paganism, but I do not consider myself a devotee yet; this fits best), but I would like to begin worship with Aphrodite, Loki, and Ares soon.
DNI:
General DNI criteria.
Zionists, white supremacists, or racists in any way.
Transphobic, homophobic, intersexist, etc.
Ableist, especially towards those with "invisible" disabilities, higher needs, or mobility aid users.
Nontraumagenic systems or supporters. (Not fighting on Tumblr, just block me. Thanks.)
Minors. An interaction here or there is fine, but please do not follow this blog.
Other than that, anyone is free to follow and interact! I'd love to make more pagan/polytheist friends, I'm just not sure how to go about it. If we are mutuals, you will get a follow from my main blog, not this one, so just a heads up!

I know basically none of my followers on here are MCU fans but I just really gotta point out some of the striking similarities between Gromph's big moment in Lolth's Warrior and Classic Loki's showdown with Alioth in S1E5 of Loki
So in the Loki show, for those if you who haven't seen it, the whole premise is that a variant of Loki escapes his fate in a timeline, but is taken into custody by the Time Variance Authority/TVA to be erased for causing a divergent timeline. He's instead spared and recruited by one of the characters, Mobius, who thinks he can use Loki to track down another escaped Loki variant that has been killing his coworkers.
He actually does, and she reveals that she wants to destroy the TVA because they're a horrible oppressive organization that destroys billions of lives in the name of cultivating their ~Sacred Timeline~ (and she's right)
But Loki ends up getting "pruned"/sent to The Void where all variants end up when they are "pruned" from the Timeline (because the TVA doesn't kill them outright, what they actually do is basically banish them to this void). A monster known as Alioth eats every living thing it comes across, but there are a bunch of Loki variants that have survived by hiding out in various places because Loki is just really good at surviving and cheating death.
There's this scene where Our!Loki is in one of their hideouts and is chatting with an older variant of himself, who reveals that he escaped death in his original timeline, but ended up in isolation because of his self-loathing and survivor's guilt. He "removed himself from the equation" because he believed that everywhere he went, only pain followed.
Our!Loki sees his older self as a defeated survivor and a reflection of his own guilt and self-loathing. But HE is young and motivated and has a GOAL, and eventually Classic Loki and two of the other Loki variants decide to help him, but it's not really so much because they believe that he'll succeed as it is that they've all got their own regrets they haven't really allowed themselves to come to terms with.
And then we get this incredible scene:
youtube
And honestly Gromph's moment in Lolth's Warrior reminds me a lot of that, because while they're different on the surface, thematically they have a lot in common.
Both Gromph and Classic Loki chose to symbolically destroy themselves so that a younger version of them could begin life anew (albeit in very different ways, and in Gromph's case he moved to a new body whereas Classic Loki sacrificed himself for his younger variants)
I just love it so much.
I love his arc, I love how it's been building up for decades, and I love the fact that GROMPH was the one to fight Lolth and face the symbol of his suffering for 800+ years of his life.
The thing is Drizzt haters were so sure that this series would end with Drizzt fighting Lolth and being some sort of Drow Jesus, but it was never about that for his character. He's just a funky lil' guy who loves cats.
I love that Drizzt was allowed to just... be that funky cat-loving guy and save some refugees and bring them to the surface and do for them what he couldn't do for his own family and what no one else could really do for him, and we got to have another character who has suffered very directly from Lolth for far longer and never had the support Drizzt had be the one to face her head-on and WIN. And symbolically destroy the part of himself that was once trapped by her and the society she built.

oh god oh fuck.
haven't actually considered this before because i've been too focused on the thanos/odin parallels in the content of the conversation...
but in the conversation between loki and the other... the other is actually a thor parallel isn't he. :(
loki's physical body is sitting on the floor/steps[?], in a secluded place, amid columns, in dark gold lighting, and he is visibly, physically bracing himself for this conversation - all resembling his first conversation with thor in t1.
(-> specifically, before he starts performing, loki draws himself UP into a straight-backed, neutral-faced posture i've pointed out in t1 before! like a soldier standing to attention, or like a servant trying not to be seen...)
the projected conversation is in a dark, high, rocky place, like the reunion with thor later on.
loki and the other openly compete to put one another down, reading heavily into one another's words.
the other is impatiently rushing loki, trying to get through the groundwork/planning stages of the invasion as fast as possible.
the other says "battle?" scornfully, as if what loki's doing is unworthy of that term. there's a deleted scene from t1 where thor says something much the same (only sort of in jest.)
the other is outraged at being questioned, and there is a clear hierarchy of king -> enforcer -> loki.
the other specifically calls loki "little" and "childish".
the other talks about retrieving the tesseract as loot and tracking down loki for punishment in one breath. thor is coming to earth to do both of those things.
like. to be clear. i do NOT think that this interaction is how thor IS. but i think it represents a sort of nightmarish exaggeration of things thor really does do, or things loki pretty understandable fears thor thinks/feels.
thor outranks loki in peacetime and acts as his commanding officer in war. he is officially responsible for ensuring loki's obedience to odin/asgard (at least in theory, when thor isn't in rebelling himself).
even when thor is rebelling, he is very prone to idolising odin and his Great Deeds. here, the other talks about thanos in equally reverent terms.
thor and loki have always competed, sometimes viciously, and thor is unfortunately not above pulling rank or leveraging the fact that he is a more Conventionally Ideal asgardian prince! loki's inferiority complex does not come from nowhere.
thor is very often physically intimidating, and as part of that, he is the only family member we actually *see* directly causing loki pain. notably, on their reunion, loki clutches his back in the same way he does immediately after coming through the portal - thor has caused further pain in an injury the other probably inflicted.
the other openly scorns loki as weak, emotional, and an outcast utterly dependent on him and his king for status/power. this seems to be how thor's friends viewed loki, at least some of the time, so it's hardly a stretch for loki to worry about thor privately agreeing.
equally, the outcast comment implies loki is forever indebted to thanos/odin for "taking him in" and making him their soldier. loki does not yet know how thor reacted to the news of his heritage, but thor has given him little reason to believe it would be good.
true, for pretty much all of thor's actions, you as the viewer can read in nobler motives - a Big Picture that has to come first, and/or veiled protectiveness of loki because the hierarchy keeps everyone safe - but loki is kept unaware of that by design. thor cannot generally openly express the affection underlying his aggression in the moment, because he has to be harsh and unquestionable for the intimidation to work. and if he does express any of it, in the moment or later, it feels like just another layer of manipulation on top of the intimidating. if thor hurts him AND loves him, is that even better? he chooses (or tries) not to believe in the love for most of this film, so at least some of the time, he thinks it makes it worse.
i'm losing track of my point but umm. yeah. the other, ensuring loki's compliance through both physical and emotional brute force. comparable to thor from many many different angles. Uh Oh.

My MCAU Timeline
This isn't going to be interesting to anyone unless you're particularly interested in the MCU or my OCs (so no one) , but I thought I'd post it here anyway! I went through the chronology of the MCU and inserted how my OCs and their stories fit into it, so here it is!
Just to clarify in advance, I moved dates around to fit my character better, so the time line doesn't exactly line up with the canon MCU in terms of release dates or otherwise.
2012
Iron Man (2008)
(this takes place during the time Tony is kidnapped by the 10 Rings)
Omilia Stark moves to New York and starts attending school with Jason, Logan, Maddie, and Shade
Omilia's mutation awakens and she gets put on SHIELD's radar
SHIELD (particularly Agent Coulson) is interested in forming a team of young teens in order to train them to be the Avengers. (Omilia's dad is currently still missing and the avengers as we know it isn't fully on the table yet.)
Logan and Shade are reached out to for their abilities. Shade excitedly accepts, and Logan does as well to keep an eye on her.
Omilia and Jason join after learning of Shade and Logan's involvement
Jason originally wants nothing to do with SHIELD because of what happened to his dad but joins to keep an eye on Logan and Shade
Maddie, worried about her friends insists on joining them, but is initially turned down by SHIELD (she doesn't have powers yet). Eventually she's able to convince them to let her be a researcher and their "guy in the chair" (which also eventually turns into her joining them as a field agent later on)
Late in these events, Omilia is reunited with her childhood friend Jacob who she learns has been living under SHIELD for the past couple years. He joins their team, replacing Maddie as the chair guy, and they also learn of 2 other potential members, though they don't meet them for a while.
2013
Iron Man 2 (2010)
Takes place several months after the events of Iron Man during Omilia's first summer break
Omilia goes home to California for the summer with her father where SHIELD has sent 2 agents. One to assess her father and one to assess her as well (though neither of them know this)
The agent sent to assess Omilia is Roxy, who is one of the prospective members for their "Young Avengers" team (again, Omilia doesn't know this)
*Cue Iron Man 2 event as usual except this time Omilia and Roxy are there and they become best friends*
Thor (2008)
Literally just the movie Thor but Logan and Shade are there this time.
It's revealed that Logan and Shade are the children of Loki and they have been regularly visiting Asgard since they were children.
After Thor is exiled, they are sent after him to make sure he's ok.
They're working SHIELD but also with Thor... hijinks ensue
Fall 2013
The gang enters highschool
Omilia and Jason briefly date
Roxy and Caleb join the team
The team starts going on official missions (mostly just patrolling NYC after school)
2014
No movies!
Logan gets angsty
Cue typical highschool hero shenanigans
2015
still no movies
Maddie gets her moment
Maddie is bitten by a radioactive spider giving her superhuman abilities
Maddie's father is murdered by a certain mafia group and Maddie leaves SHIELD briefly in order to pursue his killers
Spider-Girl is born
She keeps her identity a secret from everyone except Shade
Maddie ends up teaming up with a Mafia family that Jason is close to (without his knowledge) and they help her gain information to track down her father's killers.
Cue big quest that the rest of the team eventually get involved in though they don't know she's spider-girl yet
Maddie and Logan start dating sometime during this
After the mission, Maddie rejoins the team and reveals her identity to her teammates
At some point, a mission happens where Omilia takes an energy blast to the chest, giving her the lightning scars on her chest
2016
Avengers (2012)
Early 2016
Young Avengers team up with the new official Avengers
Logan and Shade are the first called to the scene since it's literally their dad
Roxy is turned to Loki's side, but is able to be brought back.
Thor 2 (2013)
Logan and Shade accompany Thor and their father back to Asgard for Loki's trial. cue plot
Logan and Shade then return to earth freshly traumatized after watching their dad be murdered
In between
Jason and Omilia started dating sometime towards the end of the fall semester. Omilia asks him out after nearly dying on a mission with just the two of them. They wait a month before telling anyone.
Iron Man 3 (2013)
Christmas time, 2016
Omilia is home in California for the Holidays when her dad decides to give a terrorist their address. cue plot
2017
No movies
Logan, Jason, Maddie, and Omilia go into their last semester of high school and eventually graduate.
Summer is filled with their last bit of consistent missions before Logan, Jason, Maddie, and Omilia go off to college (the other 4 are still in highschool)
First Semester
After being rejected from Berkley, Logan is accepted into an exceptional music program in Chicago and Jason follows him, majoring in kinesiology at the same school. The two of course decide to be roommates.
Maddie and Omilia are both accepted into Harvard and also decide to room together there
Scared that their relationship won't survive the long distance and desperate to stay at least friends, Maddie breaks up with Logan.
Logan is absolutely destroyed for a bit and enters his hoe phase
Maddie immediately regrets her decision and is also destroyed
Maddie continues to patrol as Spider-Girl on her new campus, occasionally joined by Omilia
Maddie is taken under the wing of one of her new Biology professors, Dr. Curtis Connors.
2018
2nd Semester
Logan and Maddie get back together
Roxy, Jacob, and Caleb graduate
Shade enters angst phase as she is the last still in high school.
Summer
The Winter Soldier (2014)
the events of winter soldier take place over like a month instead of a few days.
Jason and Logan make the mistake of tagging along with Steve for a mission or two and end up getting roped into the whole "topple SHIELD" thing
they end up being able to keep Maddie's identity from being leaked with all the other stuff that ended up leaked somehow.
3rd Semester
cue Dr. Connors/the Lizard plot with Maddie and Omilia (and occasionally Shade)
Jason and Logan are occasionally sent by what remains of SHIELD to deal with crime rings in Chicago, sometimes with help from a team mate of theirs or an Avenger or two.
2019
Age of Ultron (2015)
Caleb and Roxy are the only ones that really get involved in this one.
Plot ensues and Wanda ends up joining the young avengers along with Vision. Falcon trains with him, but is joining the Avengers cause he's a grown ass man.
Post-Ultron
Wanda is the same age as the other young avengers at this time (~20). Vision presents himself to look that age as well
She and vision join their team and over the summer of that year, they do a lot of missions together, sometimes also with the avengers.
Omilia's daddy issues
Omilia starts to become more accomplished in her academic studies, developing new technologies, and her father rarely shows up to the show cases for any of her work. The cracks begin.
5th Semester
Logan tries out again for Berkley and gets in. He and Maddie decide to move in together.
Jason takes this opportunity to transfer to another nearby school so he and Omilia can move in together.
Shade starts her first semester at Julliard as a performance major
2020
Spring:
More Shade angst as she's now in college completely alone
Maddie gets a new Mentor, Dr. Olivia Octavian (she has really bad luck with mentors)
Civil War (2016) (May-ish)
Jason and Logan assist Steve in finding Buck, but otherwise stay out of conflict
Omilia and Maddie are aware of this and work behind the scenes to keep them out of trouble
Roxy and Caleb get pit against each other (cue sibling angst)
Caleb ends up on house arrest with his dad
Roxy goes on a family road trip with her mom (Black Widow (2021))
Omilia stays out of things but is upset with how her dad handled everything (especially Wanda)
she works on the inside to make sure Wanda and Vision and stay in contact and make sure the rest of Team Cap is safe and taken care of.
Jason Asks Bucky about his dad
Jason asks buck if he by any chance killed his dad
Bucky says no but he was in charge of "apprehending him." he's not sure what happened to him after that
Thor: Ragnarök (2017)
Shade is whisked away to join her uncle and father to find Odin. (cue plot)
Shade is v upsetti about her dad faking his death. (cue silent treatment)
Instead of returning at the start of infinity war, they're gone for only a few months and come back soon after the events of Civil War.
Loki survives the trip back
Black Widow (2021)
Roxy goes on a family road trip with her mom (cue plot)
after plot, Roxy sticks with Yelena to help liberate the rest of the Black Widows
Fall 2020:
Shade returns just in time to go back to school
she returns to see the world is fucked
she has to explain to Logan and her mom that their dad isn't dead actually (again) and is no longer evil
Thor, Loki, and Valkyrie settle in Norway and found New Asgard
Cue Dr. Octavian/Doc Oc plot plus a bunch of other small spider girl plots
Jason gets his moment:
Jason (mainly with the help of Omilia and Logan) sets out to find what actually happened to his dad after he went MIA
The New Super Soldier program that Jason was born into never ended once he was taken out.
Hydra (under the guise of SHIELD) continued to raise the few surviving members that stayed
with the fall of Hydra, the program retreated to more underground organizations, careful to cover their tracks
Hydra tried to Bucky-ify Jason's dad for taking him out of the program, but it killed him
Jason (+ friends) have to track down the remaining parts of the organization and take it down before it can spread even more
2021
Spring:
Omilia, Maddie, Jason, and Logan graduate from college. (Jacob also graduates early)

only a few people know of their whereabouts (Omilia, Tony, Jason, Maddie, Steve, Nat)
 Infinity War (2018) (cue angst)
In this timeline, Loki left the tesseract on Asgard but it wasn't destroyed
plot happens same as normal except Loki doesn't die
Disappeared in Blip: Everyone who did in the movie, Loki, Jason, Shade, Roxy, Caleb
Post Infinity War
Omilia's relationship with her father goes to shit
Omilia, broken by the loss of her husband, pledges to dedicate her life to bring everyone back
Tony refuses to help her
Omilia is no longer welcome around Morgan unless she agrees to not talk about the blip (aka her literal husband)
obviously she doesn't agree to this
Tony promises to help if she figures out how to do it but will stay out of things until then
Omilia becomes known for a particularly volatile press conference after calling her father a coward for not helping her
this further isolates her from people
Maddie and Logan decide to take a step back from her
Maddie has also lost her mom and just wants to move on
Logan wants to believe Omilia can bring everyone back, but kinda has a family to tend to
Nat is the only person to regularly visit her for a while after that
Maddie decided to go back to school for another degree to take her mind off things

Roxy serves as the school principal (she has her own prerogative)
Jacob still works as a researcher for SWORD and also now work as the school nurse
Jason and Logan are reached out to

They join to keep child-soldier stuff from happening
Maddie works as a Professor at a nearby college
Omilia and Jason have a kid
Maddie and Logan have another kid
Roxy gets married and starts a family
Caleb continues to work as an agent of SWORD while also helping his dad train Kate Bishop

Ooohhh.... who to spend Easter with??? I don't really celebrate other than some candy. Buuuut I feel like each are good choices! ♡
Think Steeb and Buggy would maybe have a tradition they used to follow back in the 20s. Not sure what though. But spoiled with coloring books and a new outfit! Limit candy though so no tummy aches and teef have no cavities!
Eddies would do some extra selling to get you a big easter stuffed animal and your favorite candy. Maybe go on a walk looking for the easter bunny? Egg hunt here????
Ransom and Llyod would SPOIL you! So much candy! So many toys! Pictures with bunny in a new outfit! Ransom might get you a special outfit for a dinner with the whole family (They seem like performative religious people to me. Oops)
Steve Harrington would spoil you. But not tooooo much. Can't decide if he would get a big premade basket or if he would pick out everything himself. Maybe religious himself but doesn't force you into it.
Loki would research the holiday because he doesn't understand these Midgard traditions. But he would let you decide how to celebrate religious or bunny wise. Maybe take you to Asgard (shh.. it exists still in my mind) to celebrate a holiday there instead and treat you to the royal prince/princess ( is there a gender neutral term for royalty??) treatment!
I don't know enough about Lee to know how he would celebrate with a little. :( Sorry
I want to picture someone making a treat for the bunny the night before similar to cookies for Santa. The bunny deserves treats too! And maybe one of them does like fun bunny tracks in glitter or something?? Oh how did I forget about egg hunts??!
Anyway this is long. Sorry. Where is the button for spend the day with everyone?? Pretty please?

anon. my dearly beloved. NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR THIS!! i'm in awe!! i wasn't really planning on writing anything big for easter but i haven't stopped thinking about this since u sent it & fear i'm gonna be thinking about this every day until next easter hehe
don't feel bad about not getting lee...... confession time i don't actually know anything besides reading the wikipedia page & seeing gifs of him lol 😅 i just love chubby southern seb 😳😅 aww omg maybe he hides easter eggs around the police station, and maybe the night before he'll bake cupcakes with you with pastel frosting and little plastic rabbits on top & helps you take them around his office to all the other officers 🥺 yeah 🥺
pretty much every easter headcanon i have is either hiding eggs or eating candy so i really like to see your ideas too!! omg i know ransom doesn't like his family & the family doesn't like ransom (& if they were real i probably wouldnt actually like ANY of them lol) but i can just imagine a rich waspy new england family & all the pretty outfits & yummy treats & boring church services and family dinners spent squeezing his hand under the table that comes with being a spoiled little baby 🥺💕😌 and lloyd would totally hire someone kim kardashian style to dress up as the easter bunny and hang out with you at your giant mansion all day hehe! 😂🥰
eddie would totally have a confetti egg fight with you around the park, but it backfires on him because now he's pulling little paper confetti out of his curls until october 😅 but its worth it to hear your giggle as he shakes his head over you and makes it rain rainbows🥰

Asgard's Wrath 2 Review - Worthy Of The Gods - Game Informer
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Asgard’s Wrath 2 stands out in a sea of virtual reality titles available on the market today. As the showcase piece for the Meta Quest 3, this sequel offers an experience rarely seen in the category, weaving together an exciting blend of action, intricate puzzle design, and semi-open-world environments. With the clever use of VR mechanics, you discover new surprises even after playing for dozens of hours. Asgard’s Wrath 2 is a VR game that’s difficult to put down, even as the Quest 3’s battery life often requires you to. However, while it does start out strong, it hits a few stumbling blocks along the way.
Asgard’s Wrath 2 immediately follows the events of the first game. The god of mischief, Loki, has managed to escape, and it’s up to you to track him down. The big difference now is that your journey takes you to the vast sand seas of Egypt, where you meet other deities willing to help you in your search.
There’s an immense world just waiting to be explored, which gave me a sense of awe as I looked at my surroundings and the sheer scope of what Sanzaru Games crafted. Moreover, the game’s visual flair, powered solely by a standalone headset like the Quest 3, remained impressive from a technical standpoint as I ventured through the picturesque landscape in this lengthy action RPG.

As you play through Asgard’s Wrath 2, you control distinct heroes with their respective narrative arcs. For example, you encounter the warrior Abraxas as he’s robbing a tomb. Later on, you control the river nymph Cyrene in her own chapter. You also meet various animal companions, such as a boar that can wade through lava and a panther that can cause illusory blocks to solidify. These concepts, in terms of traversal and puzzle-solving, make each companion’s functions quite unique, though the A.I. noticeably fumbles during battles. In some cases, they won’t even attack an enemy right next to them until you manually target that foe.
Combat mechanics push the boundaries of what VR gameplay can be, thanks to each hero’s assortment of weapons. This arsenal creates genuinely unique and refreshing playstyles. For instance, I’d get into the thick of the fray as Abraxas, slashing with a whip-sword in my right hand while tossing axes with my left. Meanwhile, the ranger Alvilda required me to perform rapid flicking motions to shoot different magic arrows. Surprisingly enough, the most mechanically complex character was an undead scribe named Djehuty; I had to place both hands in front of my headset and make a pulling motion to decapitate the character; then, I could use the head to possess foes.
Regrettably, I had a few issues with the controls, especially when grabbing weapons, since the controller has difficulty detecting the action unless I sit upright. Likewise, throwing weapons or firing projectiles, even with aim assist options enabled, became frustrating and tiring.
Still, the most fascinating feature of Asgard’s Wrath 2 is its puzzles, which show what can truly be achieved by VR games in terms of immersion, creativity, and engagement. Since you’re playing as a god, you can use your divine form to take control of larger structures, often switching to your hero character, who then traverses the area with the help of animal companions. The highest praise I can give Asgard’s Wrath 2 is that, at times, it feels like the Zelda VR game enthusiasts have been waiting for. Major puzzles are presented as grand set pieces – moments that filled me with wonder upon reaching these sections and a sense of satisfaction upon coming up with a solution.
Sadly, the sheer abundance of puzzles leads to poor pacing during specific segments, such as escaping a dungeon’s traps, only to realize that another brain teaser awaited instead of a climactic boss battle. The game’s last few chapters also feel rushed compared to the arcs of the first two heroes.
Asgard’s Wrath 2 still boasts an epic campaign that can take upwards of 70 hours to complete, chockful of numerous locales, lairs, and secrets to discover. Likewise, an infinitely replayable roguelike mode is waiting for you well after you’re done with the campaign and the overworld areas. In spite of a few qualms, Asgard’s Wrath 2 remains an offering worthy of the gods.
