For titans sake, go to sleep!
————————————————————-
Summary: a very sleep deprived willow convinces Luz and Amity to go to bed already!
Ler: Willow and Luz (everyone but poor amity)
Lee: Luz and Amity
Warning: This is a tickle fic! If you dislike that, that’s completely understandable and you’re free to not read!
(Also disclaimer I wrote and posted this at 11pm after I took melatonin so im sure there’s a few grammar mistakes, I’m really sorry!)
On with the show~
———————————————
Fine, Willow was annoyed. She’ll admit it. It was two in the morning at the Noceda household, and she was yet to get any sleep. Above her bunk, she heard girlish, hushed giggles and had for some time now.
Though it wasn’t usually a bad thing to hear Luz and Amity’s admittedly pleasant laughter, and she was definitely relieved that Luz was finally giggling for the first time in weeks since the group of them had gotten stranded in the human realm, it didn’t take long for her relieved smile to turn into one of slight annoyance.
She glanced over at Vee, and wondered how the basilisk could sleep so easily in the ruckus.
She knew the girls weren’t trying to do any harm, but it didn’t stop Willow from wondering what could possibly be so funny that you had to laugh at it for THIS long?
What were they DOING up there?
She sat up and to the side, and when that didn’t work enough to let her get a good view as to what was going on, she crept up behind the two in the bunk, watching intently.
Luz was smirking playfully, sitting atop of Amity, who was letting our little ticklish squeaks and titters. She squirmed around as she laughed, causing the sound of wood squeaking on wood to come from the bunk.
“How’re you THIS sensitive here, batata? I’m barley even touching you!” Luz giggled in amusement as she wiggled her fingers over her girlfriends tummy.
Amity just let out a quiet squeal in response.
But Willow sure heard it, and Willow wanted sleep.
“Hey.”
One word, one word from willow’s mouth was all it took for the two to scream, and willow shushed them, pointing down at a snoozing Vee.
“Don’t wake her up!”
“She started it!” Both Amity and Luz whisper-shouted, pointing at eachother.
“Did not!” Luz said, poking Amity’s tummy, who squeaked and retorted;
“Did too!”
“I don’t care who started it! You two need to go to bed!” Willow whisper-yelled back.
Luz whined “But we can’t sleeeeep!”
Willow smirked “how about I tire you two out then?~”
Both Luz and Amity exchanged nervous looks. They knew that smirk. And they knew they were in for it now.
Both girls squeaked as Willow cast a circle of plant magic, tying their arms up and above their heads.
“Nonono we’re sorry!-“ Luz giggled nervously, pleading with her friend.
“Think of it as punishment for keeping me up so late!” Willow said as the vines began to feather playfully at their spots.
The tickles were gentle, almost comfortable, but to two people who were already in the tickling mood, it was torture.
Both Amity and Luz were a giggling mess. The vines primarily attacked Amity’s tummy, (causing her to melt much more than she’d like to admit) and Luz’s armpits, which made her hold back screams of laughter for the sake of Vee, instead choosing to squeal all the while, wishing she never kept Willow from her sleep.
Minutes passed, and Willow stopped immediately after she heard the slightest bit of tiredness in the girl’s laughs.
Sure she was a mean ler, but she wasn’t that mean.
Amity yawned sleepily, cuddling up with her girlfriend.
“Sorry we were loud, willow..” she muttered sleepily.
Willow shrugged
“that’s alright, it was kind of fun once I got my revenge.”
By the time she finished her sentence, both girls were already asleep.
She tossed a blanket over them, and yawned, going back to her own bunk and snuggling up in the covers.
Replaying the laughing faces of her friends, it was her turn to giggle.

I need you to know I just binged the entirety of your Canary Continuity series in 4 hours and 20 minutes and I am going to be so sleep deprived tomorrow, but I don't care.
_____._____._._____._____
First few paragraphs in, I was in awe over how well you wrote the character interactions and represented their personalities, and I wanted to share it with literally everyone I know (to be honest, not that many people).
Midway through the first chapter, I was genuinely emotional because of how you did the whole feeling-ignored-and-dismissed thing. As the oldest in a family of eight (six kids, three significantly disabled and two (overlapping) super whiny and aggressive), I very often feel like a "shadow on the wall." Once in the middle of the living room I made up the most absurd story I've ever heard (literally couldn't stop laughing, which looking back on it probably made me look a little insane), and only got their attention near the end. I'll leave a room full of people without saying anything and feel hurt when no one notices. I'll finally get to be alone after a relatively good day and still feel like my lungs are imploding.
All of that to say that I felt so understood with the way you wrote that section of the book. You worded it in a way I never could, and I legitimately almost cried. I actually might have; I don't remember. It's too late for thoughts. I'm also very glad my relationships with my family are not following the trajectory of Caged Lungs. Holy cow.
It got very emotionally intense, but it never felt staged or unnatural. I often find when it gets to that stage of a book, it just doesn't hit right because the author didn't spend enough time building up to it. Here, nothing felt out of the blue, but it still hit hard. You conveyed the emotions so well, and I'm still filled with anxiety almost 30 minutes later.
Anyway, by the time I finished Caged Lungs, I no longer wanted to share it with every single person I know. It now feels like something engraved in my soul, like it would be sacrilegious to try and make someone else understand. If it makes any sense, I'll most definitely be sharing this with random strangers on the internet, but never anyone who knows me in real life.

Random thoughts 'cause my brain isn't working and I need to sleeeeep~
Brain keeps autocorrecting to Brian. One day I won't catch it.
Specifically on the more lighthearted side though, that little bit about Donnie and Leo cuddling in the chair melted my heart. That's the fluff I live for.
After reading Miner's Eulogy, I'm left hungry. You sucked me in and I have no desire to claw my way back out. I'm just going to be sad for the rest of my life now. I feel like you kind of implied that there'll be more, but I don't trust my reading comprehension right now. Just know that I'll be spying on your blog like that annoying sibling reading over your shoulder.
Also speaking of fluff. What I really want to see (as well as all of their revenge, of course), is some recovery hurt/comfort. Mostly I crave Donnie and Leo. Because twins.
Also your idea of how Leo became the medic is my favourite so far. It's stuck in my brain and it won't leave.
Thanks for giving me yet another fix to scream internally over for months, and for reading my ramblings. I'm going to sleep, and I will probably dream of turtles.
wow there's so much here im not even sure where to start,,, it is always so surprising to hear that my work is so emotionally evocative for so many people, hearing you really resonated with caged lungs emotionally means so much to me and im not even sure how to articulate it!!! i mean its certainly a success on my part because its what i WANTED to do (at least for myself) but still.... waow
im glad i nailed the characterization as well, especially early on!! i really wanted to make a point establishing that i did understand and could establish the way they operated early on so it didnt just feel out of character and sudden when they were twisted into something so hateful, the slow build from what i could make as close to as canon characterization as possible while keeping the tone to how they turned out in the end was something i was very intent on getting right >:3 (especially for donnie, actually... its fun to contrast the earliest few scenes with the final ones because the difference is so jarring, ESPECIALLY in the way donnie acts)
AND DO NOT WORRY THERE'LL BE MORE!!! im doing a multichapter next which will proooobably be the last installment, but i dont have a chapter estimate for it and i know itll DEFINITELY be longer than caged lungs was. idk i'll have little reason to keep writing in the universe after i finish the brunt of recovery but if i think of anything (or get a request particularly good) maybe i'll keep chugging along.
and a lot of people said they want some hurt/comfort with the twins in particular and [staring at the upcoming scene that has leo in it] ouuuuuhhhhh uhhhh hrmmm. there's gonna be some Complications. but it'll happen eventually!!! <3333 this ask made me grin like an idiot reading it tysm
#canary continuity#ask#i actually have the most ideas for mikey with the next one#but cl felt very raph focused (he had all the stand out scenes in my eyes) and me was about leo so .... perfectly balanced methinks#theres gonna be a lot of balance with everyone though especially since im doing switching povs#in terms of comfort theres a specific scene with raph im already excited about#its gonna take a while to get there though ... sigh. perhaps i will write it in advance to satiate myself

RANDOM AU/ALTERNATE PLOTLINE IM THINKING ABOUT.......
ik im barely here I PROMISE IM TRYING TO COME BACK HAHAHA, but i wanna get this off my chest, somewhere that isnt B0T-FILLED (TWITTER DOT COM IM LOOKIN AT YOU!!! ANNOYING ASS!!! well they're kinda on every platform you go to atp... anyway.)
So I was thinking. What if my LINKVRAINS avatar (DJ Ruby) already existed when the series started? What if I never showed Ryouken my avatar (<- me showing him is part of my original yumeship lore).
What if Ryouken was actually a fan of DJ Ruby? Like, he has DJR t-shirts, ringlights, hats, mixes, and other merch/goods. He loves how cool and charismatic I am when I'm on stage performing my setlist, nailing each transition and effect perfectly...
Because he's the leader of Hanoi, he obviously can't log in to my live rave events because he'll stand out and everyone will think they're in danger. Not to mention, he's busy trying to capture the ignis, so he won't have time to watch them in real-time anyway. So instead, he watches my raves on a live stream or a broadcast the next day. I can see him watching them while eating in front of the Cafe Nagi food truck, lol. Since Ryouken can't go himself, I could also see other knights like Kyoko or Aso disguising themselves and logging into special events (like handshake events or fan meetups) to get digital copies of my mixtapes electronically signed by me. isn't that sweet of themmm. 🥺💖
Watching Ruby's rave events would always ease his mind. His stress would go away, and he'd feel happy! He always looked forward to whenever I announced a new event 😭💘
and the whole time, Ryouken and I are friends in the real world without knowing who we truly are. We're both thinking "It's for the best that she/he doesn't know" because we don't want to disappoint each other with our true colors. Ryouken isn't as nice as I think, and Ruby is not as cool as Ryouken thinks...
...and that's all i have thought about for this alt. plotline so far 😂
its just a small thing ive been thinking about lately. it's not canon to my main yumeship lore anyway, so I don't need to dive any deeper than this lol. also its like 2am so im gonna get some sleeeeep

OKAY so I just learned that Scott Evans is gay (how did I not know this???) so what if Scott was the first person Chris told when he realized he may possibly be bi, and Scott helped him come to terms with it (and get some Romanian ass)
OKAY so, I kid you not, I had the exact same idea when I was in the shower this morning and when I came out, I saw you sent this ask. So then of course I had to write a thing. I realize I could’ve written it from any point in the past, but I had just seen that video of Chris rolling on the floor laughing, and I thought, why not make the most of that bright spot in these weird times and continue where that video left of? 🤷🏻♀️
Hope you enjoy this! It was meant to be a short little drabble, but of course it turned out over 2k 🙄 so most of it will be under the cut!
*******************************
Scott giggles to himself as he posts the video to his Twitter and Instagram. He has no doubt that Chris laughing his ass off on the floor is going to put a smile on so many people’s faces – something that’s sorely needed right about now.
Chris, having exhausted himself, is stretched out on the couch next to him right now, Dodger lying on the floor next to him. The rest of the family is playing board games in the living room, but Chris and Scott decided that a movie night was in order. For a moment, Scott just watches his brother, until Chris notices and turns his head, meeting his eyes.
“What?” he asks.
“Nothin’.”
Chris kicks him gently in the thigh. “Come on, out with it.”
“Suit yourself,” Scott shrugs. “How are you doing, Chris?”
Chris frowns, a wrinkle appearing between his eyebrows. “What do you mean, how am I doing?” he asks. “I’ve got my family around me, we’re having a movie night, I just rolled around on the floor laughing. I’d say I’m doing pretty well.”
“Okay, but how are you really doing?” Scott presses.
“We talk every day,” Chris says obstinately. When Scott doesn’t answer, instead just giving him a pointed look, Chris’s expression turns thoughtful, like he’s really considering his answer. “I mean,” he starts, picking up his beer from the floor next to the couch and propping it on his stomach, “you know I’m no good at just sitting on my ass, but I know why I’m doin’ it, so it’s okay. And I get to spend some quality time with my family and my dog so I really can’t complain.”
“Sure,” Scott allows, nodding slowly. “But this has been a weird time for you, hasn’t it? Leaving Cap behind, going into politics, then everything suddenly being cancelled at the last minute… Must leave you feeling a bit unsettled, right?” Holding up a finger, he adds, “I know we talk every day, but it’s been a while since we actually had time to do some soul searching together. Like we used to, remember?” He smiles at the memory. “We’d sneak off to the attic with a few bags of chips and some coke and talk about our feelings” – he makes sure to inflect that last word with as much dramatic flair as he can muster, which is quite a lot of it – “while everyone thought we were playing video games or looking at porn or whatever it is ‘normal’ teenage boys do.”
Chris is smiling too now, soft, just a hint of melancholy to it. “’Course I remember. Had some of the most eye-opening conversations of my life in that attic.” He bumps Scott’s leg with his foot again. “It’s where you came out to me, Scottie. That’s not something I’m gonna forget any time soon.”
Scott hums in reply. He has fond memories of that afternoon, too. “So?” he asks after a while. “You wanna tell me how you’re really doing?”
Looking a little hesitant, Chris says, “I don’t know what to tell you that you don’t already know.”
“Sure you do,” Scott says easily. “How ‘bout you start with telling me why you were going around telling everyone you were going to take a break from acting, only to then sign up to two big new projects in the past month or so?”
Chris picks at the label of his beer bottle, looking a little sheepish. “Ah,” he says. “I was kinda hoping everyone’d forgotten about that.” He sighs, dragging a hand over his face. “I mean, I was honestly planning on taking a break, but then I had a couple of weeks off and I just- I just realized I would have all this free time on my hands and no one to spend it with, you know?”
There it is, Scott thinks.
Chris is lonely. He’s good at pretending he’s fine on his own, happy with Dodger to keep him company and spending as much time with his family as he can. But deep down, he longs to have someone to love. Someone to settle down with. It’s just how he’s wired.
“I know,” Scott replies honestly. “You’ve been on your own for a while now, Chris. That isn’t like you.”
“No,” Chris sighs again, “no, it’s not. It’s just… it’s hard, meeting new people. Especially in our business.”
Scott huffs out a laugh. “I appreciate your attempt at inclusive language, but I think we both know that even though you and I might be technically in the same business, your experiences are very different from mine. I’m an actor, you’re a superstar.” He pauses a moment before adding, “Also, I’m gay, you’re not.”
Chris doesn’t reply straight away. “Anyway,” he says eventually, “point is, I’m just so tired of that perpetual cycle of meeting someone, getting to know someone, wondering if this might be it, and then having it all fall apart again. I just don’t know I can do all that again. It’s never worked out before, so why would the next time be different?”
“Okay, now you’re just being defeatist,” Scott remarks, giving his brother an unimpressed look. “Not to mention dramatic. Look, why don’t you let me set you up with someone, huh? I know you think that’s weird, but I know so many amazing women who’d jump at the chance to date you. All you have to do is give them a chance.”
“I don’t wanna give them a chance,” Chris mutters sullenly. “I’m sure they’re lovely but I just…” He makes a frustrated sound. “I just don’t think I want to meet anyone new right now.”
“But you just basically said you’re lonely,” Scott cries, throwing his hands up. “And I know you want to get married and have a family, because you talk about it all the goddamn time.” He sighs, and in a softer tone continues, “Look, I know it’s hard, but you will have to get out there again if you want to have that future. You know that right?”
Chris inhales deeply through his nose, rubbing a hand over his newly-buzzed head. “Yeah.”
“Unless…” Scott says.
Chris’s eyes flicker to Scott’s face. “Unless what?”
Watching Chris closely, Scott says, “Unless, maybe you don’t want to meet anyone new because you’re still hung up on someone old?”
Silence.
Chris averts his eyes, staring at the ceiling.
Scott gives him a disbelieving look. “Fuck, Chris. You’re kidding me, right? Are you honestly still carrying a torch for one of your exes?”
Chris doesn’t reply, which is an answer in itself. “Oh my god, you totally are. Who is it? Jesus, I bet it’s Minka, isn’t it?”
Immediately, Chris shakes his head. “No, it’s not Minka.”
“Oh. Hmm. Jenny? Is it because she’s getting married? Is that what brought this on?”
“God–” Chris lets out a frustrated huff, sitting up and rubbing both his hands over his face. “No, Scott, it isn’t Jenny and no, I don’t care that she’s getting married. I’m happy for her, truly.”
Scott deflates a little. “Okay, well. Then who is it?”
“It’s –” Chris starts, then stops again, swallowing hard.
Scott waits – not exactly patiently, but he knows he needs to give Chris time to gather his thoughts. When Chris sighs again, it’s wearier than Scott has heard him in a long time.
“Do you remember,” Chris says finally, “in 2016, after I came back from that press tour in Asia, and you picked me up from the airport and you said… You said I was glowing?”
Scott nods, thinking back to that time four years ago. “Yeah,” he says slowly, “I remember thinking you looked the happiest I’d probably ever seen you. I thought you must’ve just really liked China.”
Chris huffs a laugh that lacks any real mirth. “Yeah, it wasn’t just China.”
“Did you meet someone in China?” Scott’s eyes widen. “Oh my god, did some Chinese girl sweep you off your feet and break your heart? She the one that got away?”
This time, Chris actually laughs. “No, no Chinese girls either. Sorry to burst your bubble.”
“Then tell me,” Scott presses, bumping their shoulders together gently. “What happened? Who happened?”
This time, Chris is silent for so long that Scott thinks he’s probably hoping they’ll just drop the topic altogether.
But then, after a full minute, Chris opens his mouth. “Scott…” he says, sounding pained. “Please believe me when I say that I didn’t purposely keep this from you. I swear I would’ve told you if things had turned out differently, but… they didn’t. And I didn’t know if – I still don’t know if… what it was.” He finally lifts his head, turning to look at him, a pleading look in his eyes. “That’s why I never told you, because I was just – I was very confused. Still am. I’m so sorry.”
Frowning, Scott searches Chris’s drawn face. “You were confused? About what, Chris? What had you so confused that you’d be scared to tell your own brother – Oh.”
Scott feels his jaw drop, comprehension breaking over him like a wave. Chris, meanwhile, looks miserable, looking at him like he thinks Scott is going to punch him in the nose and storm out.
They’re both silent for a minute. Dodger, sensing Chris’s distress, has sat up, resting his head on Chris’s thigh in an attempt to comfort him.
“Oh, Chris,” Scott says finally. “You should’ve just told me, you big idiot.”
“I know,” Chris says, hanging his head. “I should’ve. You have every right to be mad at me.”
“Oh no.” Scott shakes his head. “I’m not mad at you, Chris. Believe me, I know exactly how you feel right now. I’d be a massive dick if I turned on you now, wouldn’t I?”
“Yeah, but I still should’ve told you,” Chris says stubbornly.
“You should’ve,” Scott agrees, “but I understand why you didn’t. It was hard for me when I was seventeen and a nobody. I can’t imagine how hard it must’ve been for you these past few years, being who you are.”
The look Chris gives him at that is tentatively hopeful. “You really aren’t mad?”
“No. I just wish you’d have told me so I could’ve been there for you when you were hurting.”
“Well, if it’s any consolation, I’m still hurting. So technically, you could be there for me now.”
Scott punches Chris in his stupidly well-developed shoulder. “Well, then you’d better start talking.”
Chuckling wetly, Chris nods. He sits back, leaning heavily into the couch cushions and absently petting Dodger’s head.
He draws in a deep breath. “It’s –”
“– Sebastian,” Scott interrupts.
This time, it’s Chris’s jaw that drops. He blinks at Scott for a second. “You knew?” he asks, sounding almost accusing.
“Not until just now. But you coming out to me and mentioning that Asia press tour…” Scott shrugs. “It makes sense. That kid gives off some serious bi vibes. Plus, something tells me you’d be just his type.”
Chris gives him a wry smile. “As it turns out, he’s just my type, too.”
“Now that you mention it,” Scott says, cocking his head thoughtfully, “he really is, isn’t he?”
“Yeah.” Chris smiles, his eyes getting this dreamy, faraway look in them that Scott hasn’t seen for a long time.
“Oh boy,” he says, sucking in a breath through his teeth. “He really did a number on you, didn’t he? Fuck, Chris. I can’t believe I never noticed.”
“Well,” Chris says, hitching his right shoulder up to his ear. “I am an actor. I tend to wear my emotions on my sleeve, but I know how to hide something I really don’t want anyone to see.”
“Clearly.”
“Besides,” Chris continues, ignoring him, “he didn’t exactly do a number on me. I was the one who was too scared, too cowardly to stick to my guns. I just couldn’t do it.” He shakes his head, as if he still can’t believe what he’d done. “We started sleeping together a couple of years before, but it was never serious. We just – ended up in each other’s beds a few times, I guess. Well, a lot of times. But on that press tour, something changed. We grew closer, and we were happy, and I wanted it to work. God, I wanted it so bad, but everything seemed so daunting, and I didn’t know what was going to happen after Marvel and the press and the internet were already vicious enough as it was. I just couldn’t deal with the thought of amplifying all of that by like, a gazillion.” His voice grows progressively quieter as he goes on. “So I fucked it up, and I let him go. And I miss him, every day.” The last words are barely more than a whisper.
Scott reaches out, wrapping an arm around Chris’s hunched shoulders pulling him closer. “I’m so sorry, Chris.”
Chris sniffs, shakes his head. “Don’t be,” he says, “it was my own stupid fault.”
“Come on,” Scott protests, shaking Chris a little. “Don’t be so hard on yourself. You weren’t ready, back then. It sucks, but that’s just how it was. You can’t change the past.” He pauses, before softly adding, “But you might be able to change your future?”
Giving him a sidelong glance, Chris asks, “What do you mean?”
“Well,” Scott says slowly, you and Sebastian are still friendly, right? You didn’t fuck things up so bad that he never wanted to talk to you again.”
“No, I sort of… Let him down gently, I think. He seemed to take it alright, but…”
“He’s an actor, too,” Scott finishes sagely. “I just think that if you really fell so hard for the guy that you’re still not over him years later, then you guys must’ve had a real connection, right?”
This time, Chris’s face almost crumples. “Yeah,” he says, sounding utterly forlorn. “Scott, I – I think I loved him. I think I love him.”
For a moment, Scott is stunned. “God, Chris,” he breathes. “Now there’s something I never thought I’d hear you say. I gotta tell you, as much as I know this sucks for you, it’s kind of amazing for me.” Realizing how that sounds, he makes a face. “Sorry. This isn’t about me, I do know that. Please continue.”
Chris barks out a laugh, bumping their knees together amicably. “It’s okay, I get it. Believe me, it’s a bit of a trip for me, too.”
“Phew, okay. So. You love him,” Scott says simply. Chris winces beside him. “Do you think he loves you? Or loved you, a least?”
“I don’t know. I mean, maybe? He said as much, back in Singapore, but then when it ended, he just seemed to move on pretty quickly. So I don’t know.”
“Chris,” Scott says dryly, “I think if he said he loved you, you can assume he loved you. The guy was probably as devastated as you were but just didn’t want to let on, especially since you guys would still be working together after that.”
Chris stares at a spot on the coffee table, worrying his lower lip between his teeth. “Maybe you’re right.”
“Of course I’m right,” Scott says, “When have I ever been wrong?” He ignores the deadpan look Chris gives him. “So, my next question would be, is Sebastian single right now?”
A pause.
“I think so,” Chris replies eventually. “I haven’t spoken to him in a while but…”
“But?”
“I’ve spoken to Mackie,” Chris admits, looking a little guilty. “They’ve been filming together, these last few months, and I… I may have called him a few times to check how things were going.”
“To check if Sebastian was doing alright, you mean?”
“I mean, not just that. Mackie and I are friends too, you know.”
“Sure,” Scott smirks. “Okay, so according to Mackie he’s single. According to my latest intelligence, you, Christopher, are also single.”
“… Yes.”
“Yes,” Scott nods. “So what do you think I’m going to suggest you do, right now?”
Chris scrunches up his face. “Call Sebastian?”
“Call Sebastian.”
Chris blows out a long, slow breath. “Okay,” he says. “I guess I could give him a call to check how he’s holding up, under the circumstances. That wouldn’t be weird, right?”
“Of course not,” Scott says decidedly. “These are strange times, they remind us of what’s really important to us. If anything, I think he’ll be very glad to hear from you right now.”
“Okay,” Chris says again, nodding as if he’s trying to convince himself. “I’m gonna do it.”
“Yay,” Scott says, doing an excited little wiggle. “God, I love this.”
“This?”
“Talking about cute boys with my big brother. It’s all I’ve ever wanted.”
Chris fondly rolls his eyes at him. He silent for a moment, before he looks at Scott curiously. “You think he’s cute?”
“Are you kidding me?” Scott says incredulously. “He is delicious. Lord, I probably would’ve tapped myself that if I’d had the chance.”
“Hey.”
Scott holds up his hands. “Okay, sorry, I get it. Back off, he’s yours.”
A soft, almost mushy look steals over Chris’s face. “Yeah,” he says quietly. “I hope so.”
A thought occurs to Scott suddenly. “Oh. My. God.”
“What? What is it?” Chris asks, looking alarmed.
“I can’t believe all those tinhatters on the internet figured this out before I did. About my own brother.”
“Oh god,” Chris groans, “please don’t remind me of the internet right now.”
Scott chuckles. “You know the internet’s opinion doesn’t matter, right? The only opinions that matter here are you and Sebastian’s. Fuck everyone else.” Reaching over to grab Chris’s phone from the coffee table, Scott hands it to Chris. “Now, go get ‘em, tiger. Go get your boy.”
Chris gives him a brittle but hopeful smile. “Wish me luck.”
Scott gets up off the couch and leans down to press a kiss to Chris’s fuzzy kiwi head. “Good luck, big bro.”
He notices Chris’s hands are shaking as he scrolls through his contacts, but he doesn’t comment, instead making to leave the room to give Chris some privacy. Before the door closes fully behind him, he hears Chris start to talk.
“Hey, Seb. It’s me, Chris. How, how’ve you been?” There’s a pause. “Yeah, I’m sorry it’s been a while. I just. I wanted to check how you’re holding up. And, um.” A shaky inhale, and then, softly, “I- I miss you.”
Scott smiles to himself as he pulls the door closes behind him. Something tells him they’ll be alright.

Have a Coffee
Chapter-3
Chapter-1 Chapter-2
So, people who like angst. There won't be much angst here. I hate it! There would be hurt/comfort at best. This is going to be a fluffy story. And if I get anything wrong in the airport scenes, it's because idk how they work. Never been to an airport.
"Flight 204, to New York, from Air France will leave soon. Passengers please board the plane. Flight 204....." The voice was heard from the speakers
"Queenie, it's our flight. Let's go." Marinette called Chloe, who was busy fighting with a person, because he didn't recognise her and it's 'ridiculous, utterly ridiculous'
"Hmph, you better keep up with the celebrities. I am the Chloe Bourgeois. The only daughter of Style Queen, Audrey Bourgeois. The person who has her own amazing business. The best friend of cocci-"
"Chlo!" Mari put her hand to prevent her from speaking more than necessary. "Our flight, let's go."
"Oh"
"Je suis désolée Monsieur." (I am sorry sir)
"C'est bon." (It's okay)
"Let's go Chloe."
"I can't wait to go to New York! It's gonna be sooo much fun! I am so excited" Adrien squealed heading towards his seat
"When are you not excited?" Kagami asked rolling her eyes at her boyfriend's behavior
"Don't put your cloudy shade over my sunlight." Adrien said dramatically, in response Kagami again rolled her eyes.
"If you think I am such a rain cloud, why are you dating me?"
"Because I love you, Duh!"
Kagami's face went as red as a tomato.
"Aww, you're blushing!"
"No, I am not."
"Yes, you are."
"No, I am not."
"Yes-"
"Guys as cute as you are, can we just please move." Luka said moving to his seat
"Sorry Lukes."
"Luka-bear, window seat is mine."
"I know Bee."
"Mari, you get the aisle seat. And Lu you'll have to sit in the middle." Chloe pointed to everyone's seat
"Yes Queenie!" Marinette saluted
"Perfect, now I will sleep for hours, I need my beauty sleep after all. If I will get dark circles it will be ridi-"
"RIDICULOUS, UTTERLY RIDICULOUS" All of them yelled
"Melody, your soul mark is in English, right. Maybe you'll find your soulmate here."
"Oooooh"
"Yeah, probably. My luck is not that good though."
"Don't lose hope yet Marinette, who knows maybe something good will happen."
"Maybe"
"The flight is ready to take off, passengers please wear their seatbelts. The flight is ready to…"
"I think we should get seated." Kagami took her seat "And Mars, don't worry, you will find your soulmate soon. It's destiny."
"You're right. It's destiny."
They all got seated, and Marinette was dying from lack of her coffee.
"I need my coooooffeeeee."
"No, sleep."
"Coffeeeee."
"Mel, for the last time, Sleeeeep!! Please."
"But I don't wanna. I have work-"
"That can wait. I am sure your clients will understand. And even if they won't I am sure you're ahead of your schedule." Marinette opened her mouth to say something but closed it again, it happened for a good three minutes before she gave in.
"......fine."
"Good"
"but you are working as my mannequin later."
"If it gets you to sleep."
"Why are you obsessed with making me sleep?"
"Because I care." Came his soft reply.
~After 5 hours~
"Marinette~ Where are you?~" A maniacal voice was heard
"Marinette! Answer me before I come there! Guess I will have to teach you another lesson!"
"Why don't you just die, you stupid piece of shit?" A punch
"Why are you even alive?" A kick
"You're nothing more than a waste of space." A push and marinette fell to the ground
"Nobody ever loved you, and nobody ever will! You don't even have a soulmate!" Marinette tried to say something, deny it, tell them that she had one, but she couldn't "And your "friends" they just hang out with you for pity!"
"I can't even believe I was friends with you!"
"You're nothing more than a jealous bully!"
She tried to do something, anything! But she wasn't able to, it was almost like she was bound by an invisible force.
"I hate you! I can't believe I was besties with you! You are just a liar and a bully!" Another kick, it didn't hurt. Not more than their betrayal.
"Asshole!"
"Bitch!"
"Slut"
"Waste of time!"
She sat there, listening to them. All of their insults, she didn't care. Not anymore.
"Guess I will have to put an end to it all, huh? I feel sad, you were a good playtoy." Her da-, no Mr.Dupain said, and the knife came down, she was screaming but no sound came out
"Marinette!" Huh? She didn't die?
"Marinette!" Adrien, she recognized the voice
"Marinette!" Marinette woke up with a shock
"What happened?"
"You were screaming and thrashing in your sleep."
"Oh, I had a nightmare." Adrien wiped her tears, she'd been crying? She didn't know.
"Wanna talk about it?" No she didn't, it will make it all real. It would bring flashbacks and she would have a panic attack.
"Not really." It was good that Adrien respected her wishes and didn't push it. "How long till we reach?"
"Uh, it's been five hours, so I am guessing three hours more. You wanna eat something?"
"N-" Adrien cut her off
"You know what? You do want to. You will obviously deny it, but I am not gonna let you starve."
"Why are you all like this?"
"Like what? So caring and such good friends? You deserve it."
"I hate you, each one of you."
"Aww, you know you love us! You looove us"
"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Mari rolled her eyes. She knew she loved them, they knew she loved them. They all loved each other, platonically obviously. But, there was a part of her which always wondered if they hung out with her just because they pitied her. They wouldn't do that, right?
Would they?
Finally almost eight hours passed, she had eaten and now she was working on some new designs while her friends slept peacefully.
"There has been a technical issue, the flight would land right here, in Gotham. Passengers are required to please wear their seatbelts and not panic."
WHAT!? The flight had to make an abrupt stop at Gotham at all of places, the fucking CRIME CAPITAL!! Oh no, oh no, OH HELL NO! This is a disaster, this is a disaster, a disaster. Wasn't luck supposed to be on her side? Did the miraculous mean nothing?
She quickly wore her seatbelt and checked all of her friends' too before waking them up.
"Umm, guys, there has been a technical issue, the flight's gonna land now, so you may wanna wake up." It didn't work, the formal and polite option didn't work "GUYS WAKE UP! THE FLIGHT'S GONNA LAND RIGHT NOW IN GOTHAM!" That worked! It jolted awake all of them.
"Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!!"
"You've got to be kidding me!"
"In the fucking crime capital?!"
"Maybe it is destiny." Marinette gave Luka a weird look that said 'are you crazy or something?'
"Maybe you will find your soulmate here."
"Of fucking course. In the crime capital. Maybe my soulmate is a criminal too, huh?"
"Don't be such a pessimist Mari, there are good people too in Gotham."
"So any idea what we wanna do?" Marinette asked once they were out of the plane.
"Let's order a cab to New York?"
"Yeah, let's do that. Let me check the cabs… There's no cab available for where you wanna go….. " Blood drained from Adrien's face as he read that.
"So, we are forced to stay in Gotham?"
"Kinda"
"Well what should we do now?" Luka gained their attention
"Let's go shopping!!" Chloe, obviously, cheered "Before either of you deny, Kags, you need new clothes, no offense, but you really have a bad fashion sense. Luka-bae, I need you to carry my bags. Adri-kins, Kags need you. And Mari-bear, you have a good fashion choice." Luka and Adrien sighed, guess they have to carry their bags forever.
"I don't know Chlo, I really need some coffee and have to do some work. I guess I will go to a café instead." Marinette said sheepishly
"Hmm, if you say so." Marinette was genuinely surprised that she let her off the hook. Usually she would be dragged with them. "You can send us your location and we'll meet you there in two hours?"
"Sounds like a plan."
"Okay, bye, don't have a overdose~"
"Bye queenie!"
"Now let's find a café with an internet connection and quiet environment." She quickly searched all the café near her, fortunately the nearest café was within walking distance.
She walked for ten minutes before she reached the café "coffee and joy" apparently this café has amazing coffee and the batfam, mostly Red Robin, always comes here. The atmosphere was good, not too crowded but enough for it to be good.
She walked inside, it was good. As soon as she walked in she was greeted by the fragrance of coffee. The circular tables had plants on the side, couples were talking and chattering. There were families enjoying themselves, and a person who was typing away on his computer, huh, he almost looks dead. Well, who was she to judge, she was sure she looked the same while she was working.
She went to order. The workers there were happy and cheery. Weird, this is Gotham. Aren't people supposed to be gloomy and annoyed here? Well, Paris, the supposedly city of love, the people there are--the ones she knows the rest she is sure are good--are evil. She is not even exaggerating.
"Hi! How can I help you today?" The worker, she learnt the name was Sam, asked her.
"Hey can I get a black coffee with…..eight espresso shots? thank you!" The worker looked shocked, obviously anyone would be shocked if someone ordered this much caffeine. She muttered something that she couldn't quite make out but it sounded like 'there's three of them' . What did she mean by three of them? Eh, whatever.
"What name should I write on the cup?"
"Marinette." Marinette, the only reminder of her fam- the people she lived with. The name that was given to her by her grandma that she loves dearly. At Least her grandparents are good people.
"Okay, why don't you wait and I will call you?"
"Sure" She went to the table in the corner. So she would not grab any attention but will be able to go to the counter easily when called.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tim was having a sucky day. Firstly, he was almost late to the meeting because Bruce thought it was good to let him sleep in. Fuck you Bruce! I don't need to sleep. Then Alfred banned coffee. Why? Because apparently he had a little too much coffee. Thirdly, his brothers were still obsessed with making him sleep, he already slept last night!
"Ughhh" Tim groaned, luckily his favourite café was just around the corner. He would go and grab some coffee there and work in peace.
Upon entering the café he was greeted by the sweet fragrance of coffee. Oh, how much he loved it. If he didn't find his soulmate he would marry coffee. Bruce wouldn't have a problem, right?
"Hey Sam!" Tim greeted the always cheerful barista
"Hey Mr. Drake. Your usual?"
"Yep."
"It will be ready soon!"
Thanking her Tim made his way to his usual table and took out his laptop to go over the meeting details. After a minute or so grabbing his coffee and feeling alive again Tim started working on the documents. He was so lost in his world that he didn't realise someone coming in. Only when her name was called did he realise that.
Out of curiosity, Tim looked at her, and what he saw was something he would remember forever. That woman was beautiful. He knew that it was wrong, he knew that he had a soulmate, he knew he should wait for them wherever they are, but he also knew that he felt a connection with her, he also knew that he had to take his chance. So that's what he'll do.
Waiting for a while to gather some courage and thinking about what to say. He started to make his way to her. Only to be stopped by her sad expression, she was angry, mostly sad looking at her laptop. Huh, looks like she's not having a great day. He decided that he will go to her with coffee, after all what was something that coffee couldn't solve. He ordered two coffees for them, he knew that her order was the same as his.
He took a deep breath and made his way across the café to her and offered her the beverage in his hand. "Having a rough day?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Marinette was relieved that she got her coffee. She hasn't had any since morning. Why does the world have to be sooo unfair to her!? Opening her laptop she found some new commissions…..and some emails from her old class. Can they just suck it and move on? How childish can anyone be.
She knows that she shouldn't be but she was sad looking at it. She was just about to delete them when a voice startled her.
"Having a rough day? Have a coffee, It will make it better." Marinette being Marinette jumped at the voice.
"Ahh! You scared me! Wait a second….. You are my soulmate! Thanks for the coffee by the way." As soon as their hands touched there was a golden glow around them, a welcoming glow.
"Hey, soulmate. I am Timothy Drake-Wayne please call me Tim."
"Hey Tim, I am Marinette. Nice to meet you."
"The pleasure is all mine, Marinette." Tim kissed her knuckles to which she responded by blushing.

went to bed at 10:20 so I’d have nine full hours in bed (hoping I could get some sleeeeep even if it took me ages to fall asleep) but alas I was still awake at 12, and then woke up at 3, 4, and 6:30. but I will not despair! I got up at 7:20 and went for a 30 min neighborhood walk with Ruthie to try to head off the blehh feelings of bad sleep. I feel kinda like death warmed over today but am trying to keep those sleep/wake times consistent in hopes that this will pass.
today I have two student meetings—one short and one long—but most of the day will be given over to reading and commenting on drafts. over the next two days I need to get through CC’s thesis (40 pages), EL’s thesis (50 pages), CP’s thesis (30 pages), CB’s writing sample (12 pages), and ER’s zine text (5 pages). phew okay here’s the day:
up at 7:20
coffee/lounge
7:45-8:15 walk Ruthie
plan the day & send reminder emails
8:45-10 shower, breakfast, more emails
10-12 EL draft—start on desktop but if my brain isn’t cooperating maybe try reading outside
12-12:30 ER meeting
12:30-1 synthesize comments for EL
1-3 EL thesis meeting
3-4 lie in bed moaning pathetically because my brain hurts from thinking
4-5 get up jes you can do it! put on workout clothes and go skate. you can listen to YCDT!
5-6 walk dogs
6-7 shower & make dinner
7-9:30 hockey (why so late today boys you’re throwing off my bedtime routine)
during intermission: sweep rug & floors, collapse boxes, take out trash and recycling, declutter countertops, wipe down counters + stove + sink
read a chapter of Whole Brain Kids
just CONSIDER doing that short bedtime yoga with adriene
write down a scene idea in fic notebook
lights out 10:30

It’s like 4:30 and I’m tempted to just take a nap and curl up next to my sleeping cat but then again we should probably go out to the grocery store.
We were going to go out for a drive today but then she suggested a quick run to the store and then coming home and starting the Divergent series which I gladly agreed to cause my energy for a nice drive (which seems low energy to begin with) became depleted after therapy. But then we got into a little fight and I went into the bedroom to straighten my hair and she ended up falling asleep on the couch. I should probably go wake her so we can get something for dinner but like sleeeeep is calling my name.
With the weird mood I’m in right now my urges are so high and I want so badly to act on them and tbh I probably would if I wasn’t seeing bot my therapist and psychiatrist tomorrow. If I did act on them neither of them would know unless I came out and said it and it’s so much easier to just plug it into my diary card but the next diary card I send out would be Wednesday night to my therapist and if during the session tomorrow one of them applauds me for refraining from self harm I’m going to have to come out and say it and I can’t outright say it. This is exactly what I mean with the overthinking lately. I am so fucking tired of trying to be 3 steps ahead of all my plans and thoughts and urges and I just want to do things without caring so god damn much. And this just fuels that anger. Why am I so angry lately. Like something bad is going to happen from this anger and irritation and now this little paragraph is not so little and I need to just end it right here instead of typing up more useless bullshit that quite frankly no one cares about nor needs to fucking know.

BTS reaction 2.1.: Dating rumors about them and their little (idol) sister
This one is based on the following anonymous request:

So, basically the public is suspecting you, being an idol, and a BTS member of dating, however you are actually their younger sister, which the fans don’t know …
I’m gonna post this in two parts, and hope I’m doing this quite original request justice. I really had fun writing this up, imagining their (bad-ass 😁) idol sisters and their interactions ... Anyways, I hope you enjoy and whoever requested this is more or less content with my interpretation 🙃 Thanks again for the nice request! Keep’em coming!
**********************************************************
1. Kim Seokjin / Jin
It had been a while since your older brother had called you, both of you being incredibly busy with your careers lately. Therefore, you are surprised when your phone rings first thing in the morning, showing six missed calls by your brother already, his sweetly smiling face flashing on the display when you finally take the call. „Y/n!?“ You can hear the tension in his voice as soon as you pick up. „What is it, Jinnie? What happened?“ You can hear him breathe deeply, unsteadily on the other end of the line. „Jin?“ He doesn't reply. „Kim Seokjin!?“ „Well …“, he sighs, still breathing heavily. „You should better not go outside today, little sister. There might be lots of paparazzi and reporters headed your way, if they’re not already there …“ Confused, you get up from your bed and go to your window, carefully pushing aside the curtains to secretly take a look at the street. And indeed the sidewalk in front of your idol group’s dorm is lined with many, many more reporters and photographers than usual. „No freaking way!“, you gasp. „Why, Jin? What did you do!?“ „Why would you think I did something!?“ „Well, you are calling me at 7 in the morning, so come up with an explanation. And a damn good one at that.“ „Well …“ „KIM SEOKJIN!“ You can hear him sigh through the phone. „Those reporters may or may not be under the impression the two of us are dating...“ Your stomach gets upset at the mere thought of it. „Yuck! What the hell!? We’re brother and sister, for god’s sake!“ „Indeed, we are. And I believe it might be time to reveal the true nature of our relationship. No reason to hide it anymore anyway. You’re popular enough without me now, so you won’t have to worry about people harassing you because of your idol brother, you being an idol, too, and all. They’re drooling over you already anyway, no thanks to me, my pretty baby sister.“ „You’re not getting out of this with a compliment, Kim Seokjin. You better make damn sure that this misunderstanding is cleared up before people get the wrong idea. Or else …“ „Okay, okay!“ You can hear the fear in his voice even without seeing his face, the confirmation that you still hold the reins when it comes to your older brother giving you a feeling of satisfaction. „Jeez, I’m still scared of you, even when we’re miles apart. And you’re three years younger than me. How pathetic.“ „Kim Seokjin. Press conference. NOW.“ „Alright, alright, I’m on it!“
2. Min Yoongi
Out of breath, you come to a halt in front of the door to Yoongi’s building, frantically ringing the bell until finally, a voice sounds over the intercom. „Who is it?“, you instantly recognize the sleepy voice and its annoyed tone. „Who the hell do you think? I know you can see me! And I called like seven times on my way over here! Why didn’t you pick up, asshole?“ „I’m sorry, I’m too tired for this shit right now …“ You press yourself as closely to the door as possible, frantically looking over your shoulder, paranoid for a very good reason. „Oppa! Open the fucking door already! I’m practically live prey out here!“ „What?“ „They spotted me walking Min Holly, okay!!??? It’s all over the internet! Have you been sleeping under some rock for the past six hours??“ „I was at the studio …….. napping.“ „I DON’T FUCKING CARE! Open the door! They’re coming!“ Thanks to your intense physical training and daily dance practice as an idol you had been able to easily take the lead, leaving the most of the reporters far behind, however the first of them are already catching up with you, moving in at a dangerous speed, only meters separating you now. „MIN YOONGI! DOOR! NOW!“ At last the relieving sound of the buzzer fills the chilly air and you can feel the door yield under your weight, quickly closing it behind you as soon as you slip inside and before any of the reporters can get to it. Completely drained, you sink to the floor right then and there, releasing Min Holly, who you’d been holding close to your chest ever since the paparazzi had started chasing you like rabid animals. „You okay, y/n?“ You look up at Yoongi standing in front of you, rubbing his eyes, his expression indifferent, his hair tousled. „Do I look okay!?“ „No. You look like shit.“ „Perfect. I see sooooo many pretty pictures of me popping up on social media tomorrow morning. Like this couldn't have gotten any better …”
Using your sleeve you brush the sweat off your forehead, still breathing heavily.
„Seriously!?“, you scoff at Yoongi who seems to have forgotten all about you, his attention solely focused on his dog cradled in his arms. „Poor Holly baby. Did those crazy people scare you? Did y/n not take good care of you?“ „Tss“, you hiss, barely managing to get up, your legs still sore from running all the way here. „I protected Holly’s sorry ass from a mob of wack jobs! I’m a freaking hero, that’s what I am, and all you can see is your dog.“ He looks over at you, a smug grin on his face. „You know that’s not true. And you’re adorable when you’re angry, little sis.“ „Yah! Watch your mouth. I’m almost half a head taller than you.“ „Yet two and a half years younger. I’m clearly the more mature one in this equation.“ „You wish!“ You scowl at him. „Anyways, those nasty paparazzi saw me walking Min Holly, took a couple of pictures, posted them online and realized she was also your dog and moreover wearing the exact same collar as in your twitter post from last night. So your, no, our, crazy fans connected the dots, or at least they think they did, and came to the conclusion that we’re head over heels for each other and secretly dating. And, oh boy, they ship us hard. So, deal with it.“ Yoongi grimaces in disgust at the mere idea of people thinking he would be intimate with you, his sister. „Eww! Ewwwww! NO! NO WAY! Why would they even —? We have to —“ „I strongly second that! So, let’s get to it and write up some kind of explanation. It’s time A.R.M.Y. gets to know your charming idol sister...“
3. Jung Hoseok
„Now, let’s practice the last ten steps just one more time for tonight. Come on! Up on your feet!“ Hoseok claps his hands at you, smiling brightly. You can’t believe your brother’s persistent enthusiasm. „Hobi, you’re killing me! Literally!“, you whine, dramatically falling to your knees, sweat dripping from your forehead. „Jeez, you are most definitely brother and sister, both such drama queens“, Jimin teases from a corner of the room where he’s been sitting and watching you for the past couple of cycles of the choreo your older brother had put you through. „Shut your pretty mouth, babe“, you respond, knowing all too well that he is right, though. „Jimin, stop distracting your girlfriend!“, Hoseok scolds him. „She has a comeback stage tomorrow and her members are counting on her!“ „Alright, alright!“, Jimin backs off, his hands raised in resignation. „I’ll just be over here in my corner, quietly admiring my favorite dance machines at work.“ You blow him a kiss before you get back to your spot and Hoseok starts the music again. About an hour later the both of you are finally satisfied with your performance and you get ready to leave for your dorm. In the doorway, Hoseok stops you to give you some more advice on that one tricky part of the dance you had struggled with before tonight, just to make sure you are best prepared. „Alright, Hobi, I got it. I’m gonna be just fine tomorrow, thanks to you. Bets dance tutor ever!“ You get on your tiptoes to give him a peck on the cheek. „Make sure to watch me tomorrow, will you?“ „Of course! I always watch my talented sister’s performances. I have each and every one of them recorded, too“, he smiles at you proudly. „Aww, you’re too sweet, Hobi.“ You say your goodbyes and wish each other a good night, however, as you step out into the night, it suddenly starts to rain, big, cold drops falling from the dark gray sky. „Oh, no! My car is almost a block away!“ „No worries, sis, I’ll come with!“ Being the gentle man he is, Hoseok takes off his windbreaker and holds it up above your heads as a cover against the rain, accompanying you all the way to your car. „Thanks, oppa!“ Again, you stretch to place a kiss on his cheek before you get into your car. The next morning, a call from Jimin wakes you far too early. „Jimin-ah, what the hell!? It’s not even six o’clock yet. I need my sleeeeep!“ „No. You need to check your twitter. Now. It must be blowing up with mentions of you and Hobi-hyung by now.“ Confused, still half asleep, you sit up, grabbing you laptop. „What? Why?“ „Just take a look.“ You do as told and can’t seem to catch your breath. Trending hashtag: #HobiDumpThisSlut „What the hell!!!?“, you finally manage to gasp. But what pops up in your timeline next as most recent is even worse. You can hear Jimin cough on the other end of the line. „NO, HE DID NOT!“, you exclaim, directed at no one in particular, one hand covering your mouth, jaw dropped, your eyes fixed on the tweets Hoseok just posted a few seconds ago through the official BTS account.
Dear ARMY! All of you should calm down and take a step back! This is MY SISTER you are calling a slut here!! And how can you just claim she is my secret girlfriend and drag her name through the mud like that?
All I did was protect her from the rain and all she did was kiss me on the cheek! In an innocent, sisterly way! At THAT you leap instantly. But she and Jimin have been seeing each other for almost a YEAR and nobody noticed.
So stop making things up and just live your lives, please, and leave my sister alone, if you could be so kind. Thank you.
they read.
You just sit there, frozen, blankly staring at the screen in disbelief.
„Did he just freaking expose us!?“, you can hear Jimin scream on the phone, his voice high pitched in panic. „Oh, Hobi …“
*******************************************************
Hope you enjoyed them so far! The other ones will be up here soon!
Take care!

rep tour things we’re all gonna scream, sing and do:
Screaming ‘are you ready for it?’ and chanting ‘baby let the games begin’
Doing the choreography she does (esp. at SNL) and going awf in the verses and that JUICY bass drop, I better see y’all GO OFF.
‘BIG REPUTATION, BIG REPUTATION, OOOH YOU AND ME WE GOT REPUTATIONS AHHHHH AND YOU HEARD ABOUT ME OOOOH I GOT SOME ENEMIES’ and doing the same choreo she did at jingle ball and poptopia
Yelling ‘I swear I don’t love the drama... IT LOVES ME!’
Waving our hands side-to-side in the final chorus just like she did with the crowd at jingle ball and poptopia
‘IF A MAN TALKS SHIT THEN I OWE HIM NOTHING’... could you imagine us all going wild when she sings this line
Going hard during the I Did Something Bad chorus and the entire bridge section ‘Light me up... LIGHT ME UP... light me up... LIGHT ME UP...’
‘I GET SO HIGH OOH, every time, oh every time you’re lovin’ me’ and that bridge section of Don’t Blame Me where she’s serving vocals and we’re screeching back
Do I even need to talk about Delicate? I can already hear us all chanting ‘This ain’t for the best, my reputation’s never been worse so... you must like me for me’ before that pop-trop beat drops and we go DOWN.
‘SOME. TIMES. I. WON. DER. WHEN. YOU-UH SLEEEEEP’. Just the entire damn bridge of that song (bonus: CAUSE I LIKEEEEE YOU).
If you don’t know the choreo to Look What You Made Me Do, it’s time to get learning sweetie.
‘THE WORLD MOVES ON ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER DRAMA, DRAMA. BUT NOT FOR ME, NOT FOR ME, ALL I THINK ABOUT IS KARMA. AND THEN THE WORLD MOVES ON BUT ONE THING’S FOR SURE. MAYBE I GOT MINE BUT YOU’LL ALL GET YOURS.’
‘I’m sorry... the Old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now... WHY. OH. CAUSE SHE’S DEAD. *OH*’ (this is by far gonna be loud af so we gotta go for it).
Have y’all been sleeping on So It Goes...? Like another text post alluded to, we just might need a glow stick for this one!
‘SCRATCHES down your back....’ / ‘But honestly baby who’s counting?... Who’s counting...? ONE TWO THREE.’
That Gorgeous ‘DING’ / echoing her in the second verse and chorus like she does in the song ‘Like you... like you...’, ‘dark room... dark room...’, ‘to your face... cause look at your face’ / ‘I GUESS I’LL JUST STUMBLE ON HOME TO MY CATS... ALONE. UNLESS YOU WANNA COME ALONG.’
‘I knew it from the FIRST old-fashioned we were CURSED. WE NEVER HAD A SHOTGUN SHOT IN THE DARK.’
The ‘GO GO GO’ in the second verse... ALL of us have gotta scream that shit.
‘I was RIDIN.... I was CRYIN.... I was DYIN.... SAID GOODBYE IN... A GETAWAY CAR.’
‘.... like TRYIN ON CLOTHES.... SALUTETOMEI’MYOURAMERICANQUEEN, ANDYOUMOVETOMELIKEI’MAMOTOWNBEAT’
Separate dot point just for ‘ja-GU-ARSSSS’
Once that first vocoder chorus finishes and the second one drops with the beat, it’s time to BOOGIE.
‘IS THIS THE END OF ALL THE ENDINGS? OUR BROKEN BONES ARE MENDING. WITH ALL THE NIGHTS WE’RE SPENDING’
‘up on a roof with a school girl CRUSH, drinking beer out of plastic CUPS, say you fancy me not fancy STUFF AND ALL AT ONCE THIS IS ENOUGH’
Swaying to Dancing With Our Hands Tied but you damn well know when that chorus drops, we gon be lit.
‘Dancing with our HANDS TIED, HANDS TIED. Yeah we were dancing, like it was the FIRST TIME, FIRST TIME... and I had a BAD FEELING.’
That high note she does in the bridge, we’ll screaming it like whales
‘allofthis silence and patience, piningand anticipation, my hands are shaking from holding back from you AH, AH, AH. allofthis silence and patience, piningand desperately waiting, my hands are shaking from all this ha hA HA HA HAAAAAA’
‘take it off, take it OFF HA HA HA HAAAAA’ / ‘AND IF I GET BURNED, AT LEAST WE WERE ELECTRIFIED’
that little ‘aaaAAH’ in the bridge before ‘my one and only, my lifeline’
‘say my name and everYTHING JUST STOPS’ (yes y’all better fucking stop for this bit!!!)
you already know what i gotta say for this is why we can’t have nice things... i mean... but...
‘THEREIN LIES THE ISSUE, FRIENDS DON’T TRY TO TRICK YOU, GET YOU ON THE PHONE AND MIND-TWIST YOU.’
‘so sssshaaaaaaddddddYYYYYY’
‘Here’s a toast to my REAL friends, they don’t care about the HE said SHE said. And here’s to my baaaaaabbbbyyyy, he ain’t reading what they CALL me LATEly. And here’s to my momma, had to listen to ALL THIS DRAMA.’
‘HAHAHAHA I CAN’T EVEN SAY IT WITH A STRAIGHT FACE’ - LAUGH BITCHES, LAUGH.
DO THE ‘OOOOOH’ in the final chorus, even the ‘HERE’S TO MY BABY’ ad-libs.
sobbing and singing and crying along to call it what you want and new year’s day. these are our sob and smiling and beautiful rep songs. turn on the dang flashlights with our phones.
JUST ALL OF REPUTATION AND MORE.

In The Bleak Midwinter [CH11]
Genre ;; Angst/Smut/Fluff/Romance
Pairing ;; Chanyeol x Reader x Seokjin
Word Count ;; 9.5k
Summary ;; “We’re all whores, we just sell different parts of ourselves.”
You own a multi-billion dollar company, servicing the biggest names in kpop, in more ways than one. Under the name “Starlight Catering”, you, your best friends, Damon and Maya, and your hundreds of workers provide stress relief for idols.
You have partially retired, not because you didn’t want to, but because Chanyeol was your muse. He was all that you had time for and all you needed. Until Jin came along.
So what happens when you mix fire and ice?
You get smoke and all the lines are blurred.
A/N ;; The aftermath of Chapter 10. Well at least from one side. This is kind of a Jin chapter and I didn’t even mean for it to be that way. I realized that if I wrote everything I wanted to write, this chapter would have been like 30k long. I mean, does that bother you guys? Let me know! I’m always down for writing longer chapters if you guys will wait for me...till the end of time...get it? like in the story? Okay my jokes are lame, I’ll stop rambling and let y’all get to reading <3
[PLAYLIST] [BACKSTORY] [PROLOGUE] [CH1] [CH2] [CH3] [CH4] [CH5] [CH6] [CH7] [CH8] [CH9] [CH10] [CH11] [CH12]
‘No arms or legs is basically how you live right now, Kevin. You don’t do anything.”
A loud pair of laughter followed Michael Scott’s line. You and Damon couldn’t stop cackling when Kevin gave him the saddest reaction.
“I fucking love this show,” you belted out, wiping the tears from your eyes. “The Office can literally make anything better.”
“Aw so you’re feeling better?” Damon said as he laid on his stomach to face you. The two of you were laying on your bed, using your laptop to watch The Office. You shrugged and pushed the used tissue that was on your keyboard to pause the show.
“I mean a little bit, I think it’s just cuz I’m feeling sleepy,” you replied as you took another spoonful of ice cream in your mouth. Damon opened his mouth, signalling him for you to give him a bite.
“I mean,” he said swallowing the ice cream you fed him. “Do you still feel like your heart is coming out of your chest?”
“No.”
“And you’ve stopped crying, no?”
“I guess.”
“Well alright, step one is done!” He closed the laptop and put it on your nightstand. “You can’t expect everything to go away now, (Y/N).”
“No I know. I just...can’t believe I fucked up this much,” Your head started to hang low as you thought about the events that unfolded that night. The way Jin looked at you as he said “Don’t touch me”. Then the words that cut into you the minute they flew out of Chanyeol’s mouth. “I’m not going to pay you anymore, (Y/N).” Even though you already answered this question a million times you couldn’t help but wonder.
Where did I go wrong? What exact moment?
The minute you let your heart make decisions for you, dumbass.
“You’re right. But it already happened. And maybe it needed to happen,” Damon pulled covers over him and got comfortable. “Either way, we’re going to get through this.” You eyed him as he turned over and yawned.
“Are you...sleeping in here tonight?” You asked quizically.
“Don’t act like you don’t want me here. I’m your best friend and I know that when you’re upset you hate sleeping alon--”
“You don’t feel like getting up do you?”
“Nope.” You rolled your eyes at him and started to collect the tissues and empty ice cream cartons that littered the bed.
“You know, I say it all the time but Damon, I’m really happy you’re my best friend. I don’t think anyone can do as good of a job dealing with me like you,” He turned to you as you threw the trash away.
“I know,” he pipped, smiling at you sweetly. You laughed and smacked him on the ass before you got comfortable next to him.
“Goodnight, Damon.” you said, snuggling into your pillow.
“Goodnight, puta.”
x-x-x
Your phone went off for what seemed like the 5th time. There was no way you were moving, either. Figuring it was Ronnie calling so you could give him the final rundown of the numbers, you kept sleeping hoping he would get the hint.
“Pick it upppppp!” Damon yelled groggily. You turned to him and elbowed him.
“Why are you yelling?”
“Because your phone has been ringing for like an hour, pick it up! I’m trying to sleeeeep,” Damon whined, putting a pillow over his face. You groaned and reached for your phone on the nightstand next to you. Not even looking, you picked it up.
“Star--”
“(Y/N) WHAT THE FUCK!” Maya’s shrill screech pierced your eardrums. Pulling the phone away from your ear for a second, you brought it back to your face as you cringed.
“Why the fuck are you yelling for?”
“Because you’re an imbecile,” Damon chimed.
“Shut up!”
“I didn’t even say anything!” Maya defended.
“Not you! Damon!” You groaned. Accepting that you weren’t going to get back to sleep now, you sat up and rubbed your eyes. “What’s up though? Why are you blowing up my phone?”
“(Y/N)...I’m...kind of stuck,” she grimaced painfully. You sighed as you pulled the covers off you.
“Did you slip in the shower and throw your back out again?”
“NO!” She screeched once more, bringing the phone away from you again. “I’m...well...what happened is…”
“Out with it, Maya!”
“Okay!...I’m um...not home,” Your eyes widened at her statement.
“You’re not...h--Where the fuck are you?!” Damon turned to you and glared at you as you screamed into the phone.
“Don’t be mad at her!” You heard Jimin’s voice in your ear. “It was our fault! We let her nap after...uhh…”
“You can say it, Jiminie. It’s not like she doesn’t know what we did last night,” Maya purred. You could almost feel Jimin blushing through the phone.
“Wait a minute, Am I on speaker?!”
“It was Maya’s idea, Y/N,” Yoongi interjected. A sigh escaped your lips as you threw your hand up in frustration.
“That’s great. Really, Maya. I--” you stopped yourself before you could continue. As much as you wanted rip Maya a new one, cursing and yelling while Jimin and Yoongi were listening wasn’t exactly a good look for you or your business. Especially after the events from yesterday, you wanted to keep your image. “I’m disappointed. But not mad.”
“See!” Jimin chuckled. “I knew she was reasonable. (Y/N) is so sweet.”
“I wouldn’t say all of that now,” Maya responded flatly.
“Anyway,” Yoongi interrupted once again. “I sincerely apologize, (Y/N). Really, we fucked up big time. But can you give us a hand? I’m not sure how we can get her out of here without anyone seeing her.” Rubbing your temples, you started thinking of a plan.
“Let me speak to Namjoon. I’m sure he can help me come up with a plan,” There was a silence after your words, but you could hear a faint lull of whispers. “Hello? I know you’re there.”
“You see, (Y/N), Namjoon isn’t here. And we kinda want to keep this between us for now...just so he doesn’t um…”
“This is dangerous territory,” you warned Yoongi. “I at least think we should have Jin help. He might know what to do.” Saying his name was difficult. As much as you didn’t want this to be the way you crossed paths with him after last night, you knew that he would be able to keep the boys calm and devise a plan that would keep this under wraps from the leader.
“Hyung is sleeping. He was up late last night…” Yoongi said cooly, guilt creeping up the pit of your stomach.
“Ah, I see. Well, don’t worry. I’ll think of something. Just give me a few minutes and I’ll call you back,” you lifted yourself up from you bed and started toward your closet.
“Thank you so much, (Y/N)! You really are the best!” Jimin gushed.
“We owe you one,” Yoongi followed.
“(Y/N)...”
“Maya,” you said sternly. “We’ll talk later.”
“Fineeee,” She groaned, hearing the sound of the call ending right after. You threw your phone on the bed, accidentally hitting Damon with it as he tried to sleep.
“Fuck you, hoe!” he cried out as he writhed under the sheets.
“I’m going to kill that girl,” you snarled as you pulled out a pair of True Religion jeans. “How am I going to get her out of there? Is she nuts?! It’s practically almost noon! There are people everywhere!” Damon yawned and turned over.
“I have a plan,” he mumbled as he stretched. “Call Goyangi Catering and place an order for pick up, get some pastries or sandwiches, something easy and quick for them to make. Then ask them for a uniform, put it on and “deliver” it to them.” You blinked your eyes at him in amazement.
“That’s fucking fantastic but how do I get her out?”
“Easy,” he snuggled back into the bed facing you. “Tell her to go out back while you come out the front. Attention will still be on you!” he made a motion with his hand as if he had a pen and paper handy. “Delivery girl, was it BTS? What does their dorm look like? Are they recording? What do their pajamas look like? Can you tell us anything at all?” Bringing the covers up to his neck, he shrugged and made a face of accomplishment. You shook your head almost in agreement. Granted it was risky, there could always be someone waiting in the back. But if there was anyone in the front, crazed fans or press, they would see you go in and come out, taking any suspicion away from Maya. It wasn’t the best plan, but it was the only plan.
“I guess that’s what we’re gonna do,” you agreed, plopping on the bed looking through your contacts. A smile crept up your face as you found Goyangi catering. “Wait…” you stopped suddenly and turned to Damon. “How did you come up with that so fast?” He scoffed at you and rolled his eyes.
“See, Unlike you bitches, I ain’t messy. First of all, this would never happen to me. I’m responsible,” you laughed out loud as he playfully smacked you. “Second, if it did, there’s no way I’m going unprepared for the worst. I got a back up plan for my back up plan.” He snapped in your face causing you to lean back a bit. At this point, you had no time for his sass. You pressed the screen and brought the phone up to you ear.
“Goyangi Catering? Yes it’s me! Great job last night...the food was fantasic! The focal point of discussion throughout the whole night, I heard! No...no actually I called to place an order...Yes, I’ll hold…” you looked over at Damon and pointed at him. “This better work!”
“It will! It will!” he reassured. You shot him a doubtful look as you waited on the line patiently.
x-x-x
You pulled up to the nearest parking spot by their dorm. Gripping at your steering wheel, you looked over to their dorm that was down the street, studying the people outside. It didn’t seem too crazy. A sasaeng walked by acting as if they were a pedestrian, knowing damn well they were waiting for a glimpse at one of the idols, and a few reporters chatted amongst themselves, exchanging notes. You figured they were waiting for Namjoon to get back, and ask him about his whereabouts today. Sighing to yourself, you gazed over at the box next to you.
“I really want one of these pastries, Damon.”
“Bitch, get your life together. How’s it looking out there?” his voice filling the car as it came through the speakers.
“One crazy, 3 reporters.”
“Not too bad,” he spoke into the car radio. “Don’t be nervous. Those people can smell it like fucking dogs.”
“I believe it,” you pursed your lips as you examined them a little more.
“How does the uniform look on you?” Damon sniggered. You glared at his name on the display screen.
“Go fuck yourself, I look like a bum.” You looked down at the plain white t-shirt that was 2 sizes too big. The Goynagi Catering company logo was obnoxiously adorned on the front.
“Well I’m sorry delivery girls don’t go around dropping pastries off in Versace dresses.”
“Fuck off, Damon,” you spat as you grabbed the box. “Alright I’m going to get out there and get this shit over with. See you soon.”
“Byeeee,” he chimed, using your free hand the press the call end button on the steering wheel. Taking a deep breath in, you pulled the keys out of the ignition and walked out of the car with your box of pastries at hand. The minute you approached the dorm, reported fled to your side as you began walking in.
“Are these for BTS?” one asked immediately. You just shrugged as you approached the door.
“Who are they from?” a second one asked, pushing the first reporter to the side. Again, you shrugged at them as you walked into the building. They said a few choice words about your manners before you walked away from them. Fucking vultures, you thought to yourself as you got to the front desk. Usually at night, you were in different attire so the concierge didn’t recognize you. Either that or it was so late, he wasn’t even there. It was better that way. If he did recognize you, he could mention to Namjoon that you had visited the dorm while he was away, causing problems for the other members as he questioned your appearance there.
“Good afternoon! I have a delivery for Bangtan Soeyondan on the 3rd floor,” the man scribbled something in his notepad before he reached for the box.
“Namjoon-ssi isn’t here and their manager didn’t mention anything to me about a delivery so I’ll just take these and he can take it up when he arrives,” he replied. Fuck, you thought to yourself. I have to get up there.
“Sir, this order was made by Yoongi actually. Surely you can let me up just to drop these off. He’s not feeling well. Last night, the poor thing pulled his...hamstring...yea his hamstring during their performance,” you lied, hopefully the concierge bought it. Slowly, his eyebrows furrowed and a look of pity played on his face.
“They work so hard too…” he looked around and sighed. “Alright, I could get into a lot of trouble for this but go ahead and bring it up.” You smiled sweetly at him and took the box in your hands again.
“That’s really kind of you. Don’t worry, we’ll keep this our little secret,” you winked. The man blushed and nodded as you walked away.
“Hey, I believe I know you from somewhere,” he called out to you as you waited for the elevator. Fuck, I almost got it, you cried internally. You looked to him and shrugged.
“You know I get that all the time! I must have a distinguishable face, right?” you laughed nervously as the elevator chimed, the doors opening at the perfect time. “Well thank you again have a good day!” You said in one breath as you rushed inside, pressing the button for the 3rd floor violently.
That was so fucking close, oh my god.
Usually when you walked down this hall, the sound of your heels clicking accompanied you. Today you were left in silence with your own thoughts. Your palms began to sweat with every step you took. It wasn’t the situation that gave you anxiety, it was the possibility of seeing Jin. You didn’t know what you were going to say to him if you did see him. Planning that out probably should have been included in this strategy. Instinctually, you only scrambled a solution for what seemed more important. Protecting your business. Shaking yourself out of your thoughts, you knocked on their door and waited for a response. It wasn’t long before Taehyung opened the door and appeared in the doorway.
“(Y/N)...you look…”
“Don’t even start--”
“Cute!” he doted.
“What?”
“You look so normal! Come in, come in! Oh and let me take that for you,” he said excitedly as he pulled you inside with one arm and grabbing the box with the other. You were taken aback by his kindness. He was always a sweet kid but after last night and the way he looked at you nervously, you weren’t exactly sure what you were expecting. But this was the opposite...not that it was a bad thing.
“I brought pastries!” You chimed sweetly as you both got into the kitchen. “I hope you guys like them.” He put the box down on the counter and opened them, his eyes twinkling at the sight.
“These are for all of us?” he asked innocently.
“Yes of course! Dig in, Tae,” he smiled at you as he grabbed a pastry and stuffed it in his mouth. It was hard not to giggle as he chewed, his eyes squinted in satisfaction. You walked toward him slowly and sighed.
“Hey, Tae. I just wanted to apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused for your group last night. I really hope that doesn’t affect the way you guys think about me or anything. I truly fell in love with you guys. You’re one of the sweetest group of young men I ever had the pleasure of meeting and I want to...stay friends with you.” Tae put his pastry down and turned to you. Your words made his cock his head at you and frown.
“It’s okay, (Y/N). I’ll admit, last night was pretty shitty but you’ve been nothing but nice to us. What ever happens with you and Jin, that doesn’t effect our friendship. Not unless you hurt him purposefully anyway. But I know you wouldn’t do that,” he picked up the pastry once again and leaned on the counter. “Plus, if I stop being your friend, I don’t get the benefits of free food every once and a while.” The both of you laughed as he took a bite.
“(Y/N)! You’re here! Finally!” Jimin said in relief as he walked in. The expression in his face changed to one of curiosity as he peered at the box on the counter. “Are those pastries? Tae, you have powder on your face. Those are pastries!” he ran excitedly toward the box and marveled at them just as Tae did previously. Another giggle escaped your lips as you walked up to the both of them, handing Tae a napkin to clean the powder on his face.
“Yes, pastries are great and all but…” you put a hand on his shoulder and gripped it tightly, digging your nails into his skin. A smile crept on your face as you watched him writhe in pain. “Where’s Maya?”
“AISH! (Y/N) WHAT IS THIS?”
“This is how I show love when I’m angry,” you cocked your head at him and kept your face kind and sweet as you let him go. He rubbed his shoulder and looked at you in confusion.
“I thought you were reasonable!” he cried. Taehyung chuckled in the background as he took the pastry Jimin was about to take.
“I am reasonable. I’m not telling Namjoon about this little fuck up and you’re still alive aren’t you?” His eyes widened as he nodded. “Well, let’s get to it then. Where is she?”
“In the bathroom,” you heard Yoongi from behind you. “She’s hungover and…” Suddenly, the sound of gagging and coughing echoed through the hallway. “Yea...so that’s happening.” A look of embarrassment and horror crept up your face.
“I’m so sorry about that. She usually doesn’t...well she does...but,” Yoongi chuckled at your expense and shook his head.
“Don’t be. We had a lot of fun last night. Right, Jimin?” Jimin blushed at Yoongi’s statement and he nodded shyly in agreement.
“Jiminahhh! Don’t be so shy now!” Tae teased. “You were the one giggling and moaning the loudest. Maya knows her name. I don’t think you had to remind her every 3 seconds.” Jimin’s mouth dropped at him, his face getting a deeper shade of red.
“Hey Tae,” Yoongi chimed softly. “Didn’t I hear a small, little moan a few night ago coming from Jungkookah’s room? It sounded a lot like your voice…” The color in Tae’s face drained as he looked at Yoongi with terror.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said defensively as he grabbed another pastry. “I just remembered, I have...something to do.Thank you for the food, (Y/N). You’re the best!” He ran out of the kitchen and back into his room. Jimin shook his head and laughed.
“You didn’t have to do that, hyung. That was mean.” Yoongi shrugged at Jimin and looked to the side.
“He’ll be fine. We all know anyway. I don’t know why they try and hide--”
“And I don’t think I should be hearing this conversation!” You interjected, putting your hands up to your ear. “I’ll be...uh...helping Maya out.”
“Oh, (Y/N)! Come on! You can’t possibly tell me you didn’t know either,” Jimin cried out to you. You shrugged as you walked away.
“Hey, I don’t know who or what you’re talking about.” They both looked at you with annoyance as you darted toward the bathroom. Of course you knew about Tae and Kookie. It was painfully obvious. But you dealt this situation before with Kyungsoo and Jongin. When they are ready, the two of them will come foward to their members about their...relationship. But for now, you thought it was best to let the two men explore each other and be sure of what they had. Even if Tae’s comment to Jimin was rather funny, you knew your place in this situation.
“Maya?” you said sweetly into the bathroom door. “Are you okay?”
“Fuck off, you wank! I know you’re just being nice because we’re here. You’re going to kill me when I get out of here!” she said sloppily through the door. You sighed as you put a hand up to the door.
“Yes, you may be right. But you’re kind of throwing up and I don’t think this is the right time to kill you...I don’t want to get puke on me.”
“Very funny, bitch...hold on,” her thought was cut off by her gag reflex and the sound of her throwing up echoed in the bathroom and down the hall.
“Ew, gross,” you said to yourself as you backed away. The sound of a door down the hall clicking open caught your attention causing you turned your head to the sound.
“Honestly! Who is making all that noise!? I’m trying to fuckin--” Jin’s stopped as he saw you. He was about to walk down toward you before he noticed your presence in the hallway making him to stop in his tracks. Your heart raced at the sight of him. Just seeing him in his PJs, his hair tousled every which way and his face still slightly puffed from his slumber. The blood was rushing to your face, causing you to blush at how enchanting he looked.
“Jin…” you said breathlessly as you turned to him. He licked his lips and turned back around, heading to his room. “Wait!” you called to him, trailing behind him. “Can we talk? Please?” Without saying a word, he closed his room door leaving you outside. “Jin...I’m..I’m sorry. I just want to talk...just give me 5 minutes?” He said nothing. “Okay 2?” you chuckled. Still not receiving a response, you leaned up against the door and sighed. “Alright, I get it. I’ll just...go.” You pushed yourself up and walked back to the bathroom, knocking at the door impatiently. All you wanted to do was get out of there at this point.
“Maya!” she responded with a grunt.
“That was painful to hear,” you heard Hobi say from down the hall. You looked over to him and smiled.
“Hey Hobi! I’m sorry if this...noise is interrupting anything or bothering you,” you said to him apologetically as he raised his eyebrows reluctantly.
“Oh no. That’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about,” he raised a finger, pointing to Jin’s door and you. “That.” You frowned at him and rubbed your arm.
“Oh,” you said awkwardly. “Yea...it’s...yea.” There weren’t any words you could think of to respond to that. Hobi noticed the trouble you were going through and walked toward you.
“I know, Jin. He’s just mad right now. He said it himself last night, more than likely he’s going to call you later,” he put an hand to your shoulder reassuringly. Your eyes brightened at the thought of Jin talking about you last night. Whether it was good or bad, you needed to know because it was obvious he wasn’t going to tell you now. Curiosity taking over you, you decided to inquiry more about it.
“He said that?” Hobi nodded. “What...what else did he say?” You asked frantically. He cocked his head to the side and inhaled sharply.
“Well, I don’t want to tell you too much without him getting upset but he did tell us not to be mean to you. That it wasn’t your fault. It’s just a shitty situation he put himself in. But we weren’t going to be mean to you anyway!” he said quickly. “Don’t worry, (Y/N). I know you care about him. Even if it doesn’t seem like it to him now. Honestly, I doubted you. But when I saw his present, I knew I was wrong…” Nodding at his words, you smiled sweetly at him.
“Thank you, Hobi. It means a lot…” He pulled you into a hug, taking you back a bit as you hugged him back. “Hey wait a minute! You doubted me?”
“Welp, I heard there were pastries in the kitchen,” he quipped as he pulled away avoiding your question. He started rubbing his hands together and licking his lips excitedly. “So I’m going to grab some of them and you can have fun with,” he motioned toward the door and made a face of disgust. “That.” You chuckled at him as he walked away, leaving you to deal with Maya.
After a few more tries, Maya gathered herself together and slumped out of the bathroom. If you didn’t want to kill her before, you certainly wanted to kill her then. Instead, you gathered her things and reminded her of the plan. Yoongi and Jimin described to you two where the back exit was. You suggested to have her meet you a block away so you were able to pick her up in a low key location. Yoongi looked at you and nodded.
“You’re real slick, (Y/N),” he said in amazement. Maya put an arm around you and pulled you close to her.
“I’m told you guys. This is the definition of a boss bitch,” you shook your head at Maya as she spoke.
“Yea, yea. Can we get back to this please?”
“Hey (Y/N),” Jimin looked over you. “You never told me if you ever killed anyone.”
“Can you let that go?” Yoongi snarled. You and Maya just laughed and proceeded to go over the plan one more time.
“We ready?” you asked as you put your sneakers on. Maya nodded and flattened her dress.
“Let’s do this,” she nodded.
“Alright, say bye to your...men,” you said weirdly as she walked over to Yoongi and Jimin, planting both of them a soft kiss on the lips exchanging their goodbyes. You sighed and looked away, getting lost in your own thoughts, your own jealousy.
x-x-x
“Fuck yes! We did it!” Maya cheered as you two walked into the apartment. You trailed behind her and followed it into the kitchen.
“Yea, we did,” you exhaled as you plopped on the stool by the marble island. She opened the fridge and pulled out a bowl of fruit, placing it on the island.
“I know you’re mad,” She walked over to you and sat next to you, taking a piece of pineapple from the bowl. “So go ahead, yell at me, beat me, throw me away into a cold, wet dungeon. I’m ready for it.” She took the fruit in her mouth and backed away defensively.
“To be honest Maya, I’m exhausted and all I have in me is this; fuck you. That was irresponsible. Don’t let it happen again,” your voice was flat and unwavering. She crept back toward you and looked at you in bewilderment.
“That’s it?” she said warily. “You’re not gonna kill me?” You shook your head as you took a grape from the bowl. “Wait...oh shit sweetie, I almost forgot!” You felt her bring you into an embrace, almost knocking you out of your seat. “I heard what happened last night. They were talking about it while I was waiting in Yoongi’s room. I’m so sorry.”
“It’s fine, really. Wait...you heard them?” you said shocked, pushing her away slightly. “What did they say!?” She crossed her legs and brought a hand up to her chin.
“I don’t remember much. I just remember him telling them what Chanyeol did. And then what Hobi told you in the hall.”
“Oh,” you said defeatedly.
“But,” you turned to her, your eyes twinkling in eagerness as she continued. “He did mention going through with his original idea. Whatever that means. They all seemed to be supportive of him too. They really like us.” You cocked your head in confusion as you crossed your arms. Original idea? A vibration in your back pocket took you away from your thought. You reached for it and pulled it out, examining the screen. It was a notification from your bank account, stating that a deposit had been made into your personal account. Puzzled, you open your transaction history and examined the account number and name that came from.
“Um...Maya?”
“What’s up?”
“Jin just made a deposit in my account,” she looked at you emotionless.
“Okay so?” she asked almost uninterested. You pursed your lips at her and narrowed your eyes.
“Well, he’s not due for a payment or anything. I didn’t do anything with him last night...so,” Maya interrupted you by taking your phone. “Hey!”
“Why don’t you just call him and ask him?” she began scrolling through your contacts. You snatched the phone from her swiftly, shaking your head violently.
“No! He clearly doesn’t want to talk to me right now! Maybe it was a mistake!”
“Bullshit!” She called out as she took her own phone out.
“What are you doing?” Your voice was frantic as you leaned in to look at her screen. She pulled her arm back away from you.
“As the head of accounts payable for Starlight Catering--”
“Since when?”
“Since you’re too pussy to call him and ask,” she brought the phone up to her ear. “I will.” Your eyes widened as she took another piece of fruit in her mouth.
“No! Stop it! Don’t--”
“Relax, bitch. Matter of fact,” she brought the phone down and put it on speaker. “So you can hear him too.”
“Maya stop if you don’t hang up--” you growled trying to reach for the phone as she pulled it away from you again.
“You’ll do what?” she scoffed.
“I’m gonn--”
“Yoboseyo?” Jin answered. You shot her a deadly stare as she stuck her tongue out.
“Seokjin! Hi! It’s me, Maya,” she said sweetly into the phone.
“Oh hey Maya. How are you feeling?”
“Better. Thank you for asking,” she inhaled and looked over to you. “The reason I’m calling though, is because I was looking at our financials and I see you posted up a payment into one of accounts a few moments ago.”
“I did, yes.”
“Right well, according to our records, you’re all caught up and you don’t owe us anything. What is a mistake? Because I can refund you right--”
“It wasn’t a mistake, Maya.” She shot you a look of satisfaction making you inch to the edge of your seat. You listened intently as the two spoke. “I’m assuming she’s with you right now?” His statement shocked you both a bit. Waving your hands frantically in the air, you shook her head signalling for her to deny your presence.
“Well right no--”
“And you have me on speaker right?” he cut her off. The color from her face drained as she continued.
“I--...well...you see--”
“(Y/N). 11pm. I’ll see you later tonight.” With that, he ended the call, leaving both of you stunned at what had just happened.
“I feel so stupid.”
“You know,” she started. “This wouldn’t have happened if you just called him.”
“Fuck off, Maya,” you said as you twiddle your fingers, not sure if you were terrified or excited about facing Jin tonight. He doesn’t completely hate me, you thought to yourself. A smile danced across your face at your realization.
“That boy adores you, (Y/N),” she doted at you, leaning her hand up against the counter. “He’s not going to let you go that easily.” You exhaled heavily and crossed your arms.
“That’s not the impression he gave me before,” you pouted. She sighed and put her hand on your back. “Yea...I heard that while I was barfing. But obviously, he still wants to see you. So just think of this morning as residual anger. I mean, you did go back to Chanyeol after he got punched in the face.” Bringing your hands up to your face, you groaned into your palms loudly.
“Don’t remind me!” You groaned into your hands one more time before you looked up at her and sighed.
“Remember a few weeks ago, you were jealous because Jin had called me and Yoongi hadn’t called you?”
“And because Chanyeol was your boo. Yes I remember and trust me honey, I’m not jealous anymore,” she brought her hand to your lap and smiled at you. You grilled her before continuing.
“Well...I was kinda jealous of you, Yoongi and Jimin...this morning…” She looked at you with a confused look as you spoke. “Its just because I--...it’s...not to sound weird…”
“You want that with Chanyeol and Jin?” Maya stated simply, not expecting those words to sound as strange as they did when heard out loud.
“That’s so fuckin weird...and bad…” you groaned admittingly. “How does that even make sense?” Maya made a hphm noise as she shrugged.
“It’s actually a thing. Polyamory. But I don’t think--”
“Not. Helping.” you snarled.
“Right…” she said hesitantly as she tapped her fingernails on the counter. “Well, its hard because both of these men love you. Jimin doesn’t love me. He’s just kinky and curious. Yoongi…” she stopped and looked down. “Yoongi has a weird way of showing his emotions. I don’t know what he’s thinking half the time…”
“Does that bother you?” You asked, not minding the sudden change in topics. You didn’t want to dig deeper into your shameful fantasy and if there was one thing Maya loved more than anything, it was talking about herself.
“Sometimes. I don’t know. You know I’m a sucker for emotional sweethearts,” she gushed as her head hang low.
“What about Yixing?” She snapped her head up at you and she bit her lip.
“He left so…”
“Yea but he’s coming back…”
“But he hasn’t even spoken to me since he left!” her voice filled with sadness. You inhaled deeply and scooted closer to her. “Guys are rubbish.” You scoffed and put you arm around her.
“Yes the fuck they are.”
X-x-x
The day went by fairly quickly. You and Maya decided to get some work done a little earlier than usual, tallying up the numbers from the night before. Impressively enough it was one of your best nights yet. The both of you were left in shock. When you called Ronnie, he took a jab at you and said the night went well because you were gone for most of it. You ignored his comment and sent him his cut immediately. It was about 9:30 when you got ready to head back to the BTS dorm. You hadn’t heard from him all day, neither of them actually. It wasn’t that you didn’t want to text either of them. It’s that you physically couldn’t. Your chest would start to hurt as you typed and you just put your phone away swiftly. Doing this all day took a toll on your nerves. On top of thinking about what you wanted to say to Jin, you were surprised at how functional you actually were.
As you applied your make up, you mentally rehearsed what you thought you should say. One of the things you wanted to express was yes, you did love Chanyeol. And yes, you did love him too. Wait...what? No. No. That’s wrong. You liked him. Yea. That’s what you meant. Anyway. This is about business. Having everything you ever wanted. Along the way, you met Chanyeol and he treated you with decency. He asked if you were okay. If you ever wanted to take a break from the world, escape with him for a moment and getting lost in passion, in affection. Until that moment wasn’t enough anymore. He aches for you when your away and worries about you endlessly. He is someone who protects you, so you weren’t afraid. You found bliss. But then you met Jin, and he treats you like a queen. He’s absolutely captivated by you. He wants to find you, and explore the world with you hand in hand. He believes there’s strength in your weaknesses and vows to prove it to you. When you’re away, he prays that you are taking care of yourself and thinks about the next time he’s going to see you. You found purpose.
But I can’t say that, you thought to yourself as you applied your final spray of perfume. Letting out a deep sigh, you grabbed your purse and headed for the door.
“Guys! I’m out!” Maya poked her head out her room and waved.
“Damon’s not here but good luck baby girl!” You nodded as you walked out, disappearing behind the elevator.
X-x-x
“Right here is good?” The cab driver asked as he pulled up to the curb.
“Yes! Here’s fine. Thank you! Have a goodnight,” you sad as you got out of the cab and started walking down the street. Okay, Practice.
“Jin, I’m sorry. Don’t take it personal. I didn’t go back to him because he means more...no that sounds terrible,” you scolded yourself. You walked into their building, looked over at the empty concierge desk and made your way for the elevator.
“Jin,” you pressed the button and sighed. “You know how much you mean to me. I care about you so much and...I don’t know where I’m going with this,” The elevator dinged as you groaned. You walked in and had a sense of dejavú as you pressed the button for the 3rd floor. I don’t have much time, focus!
“Jin, Tesoro mío, there isn’t anything a good blow job can’t fix!” You said with a finger up in the air. Quickly smacking yourself after and sighing. “That was the stupidest thing you’ve ever said, (Y/N).”
There was no more time for rehearsals as you finally reached the 3rd floor. Mentally collecting yourself, you walked out into the hall. The loud clicking of your heels was a relief. Your focused on your pace, drowning out any thoughts as you made your way to their door.
Knock. Knock.
“Jungkook!” You said delightfully as he opened the door. Looking at him strangely, he made his way into the hall and close the door behind him. “What are you doing?”
“(Y/N) I just wanna thank you for helping Yoongi and Jimin this morning,” he confessed rather quickly. You just nodded, still gazing at him strangely.
“Oh, kookie it really was no problem. Any time you ever need help, even if it’s not Starlight Catering related, just know that I will always be there,” you reassured him as you put a hand on his and squeezed it lightly. He smiled at you and scratched the back of his head.
“Why are you so nice to us, (Y/N)? I mean, Jin is the only one you have to impress.”
“Oh don’t say that!” You crosses your arms and looked at him dotingly. “I was and still am a fan of BTS. You guys have done so much for the music industry and for your fans. Truly, anything I can do to give back to angels like yourselves.” Jungkook’s eyes widened at your words. He started shifting in place, shyness overtaking him.
“I wouldn’t say angels…”
“Come on, Kookie. Let’s go inside before Jin starts yelling,” you giggled as you both walked in.
“Hyung is actually in the shower. He told us to let you into his room so you could wait there. Or you can come with us in the Big Room while we play with our dogs! Jin won’t like that very much because he swears we take you away from him,” he laughed as you two walked down the hall and stopped in front of his room door.
“As much as I would love to hang out with you guys, I think me and Jin need to talk,” you tapped your two pointers together and slouched a bit.
“Oh yea…last night…” you nodded at his statement. He sighed and shrugged. “Don’t even worry about all that. He’ll get over it. But I’ll see you later, (Y/N). You’re welcome here anytime.”
“Thanks, Kookie. It means a lot,” you snickered as you walked into Jins room, thinking to yourself, that boy is going to be trouble when he gets to Jin’s age.
You closed your eyes and inhaled as you stood in his room, taking in his scent. The mix of the freshness in his cologne and the sweetness in his natural scent was intoxicating and distinct. When your eyes fluttered open, you scanned the room, your (e/c) orbs darting everywhere but stopping in one place in particular.
You saw the gift you had bought him on his desk. The glass casing was off to the side and there was a screwdriver next to it. Curiosity getting the best of you, you walked over and decided to examine it. There wasn’t anything that could have prepared you for what you discovered. There was an addition made to the gift. Next to the iridescent Mario was a Princess Peach to match it, screwed in tightly next to him. There wasn’t a possible explanation for this. You don’t remember the package coming with Peach. You even swore that the picture advertising the figure didn’t have a Peach either. Your fingers slowly made their way toward the two figures. Just as you were about to graze the rainbow opal, a voice from behind you startled the life out of you.
“I bet you’re wondering where I got that piece, aren’t you?”
You turned to him and your mouth slightly dropped. Jin stood there, his upper bare body glistened, droplets of water still trailing down his torso. The towel around his waist barely hung at his hips. You stared at his narrow waist then up his defined chest and broad shoulders. Even though his cheeks were slightly pink, his skin was radiant and almost blinding. The way his dark hair clung onto his forehead seemed to bother him, so he ran his fingers through them, revealing those deep dark eyes that fixated in your direction. You wanted to speak, but it took almost all the energy in you to say anything.
“I didn’t even know she was supposed to be there...it looked…”
“Complete?” Jin cut you off as he walked toward you. “I admit, it looked great the way it came, jagi. But I just had to.” He stared at Rainbow Road for a minute, noting the amazement that glossed over his eyes as he studied it. It brought you a sense of closure almost. He loved the present. At least you did one thing right.
“Where did you get her in such a short time?” you asked as you bent down to look at Princess Peach. “I mean, You only had it for like a few hours, Jin.”
“Oh, I’ve had her for a while now. In fact, I was almost convinced I would never have the whole thing,” he said admittingly, looking over at the glass casing that was sitting on the desk.
“Are you serious? Nah, you’re pulling my leg. There’s no way…” you stood up straight and backed away.
“(Y/N), remember when I told you everything in life has meaning?” He turned to you and adjusted his towel. The nerve of him.
“Yes, I do,” you croaked, trying not to stare too much. He chuckled as he noticed and you started blushed.
“Well, I think there was some meaning behind this. Even if it’s not intentional,” You cocked your head at him. Not sure exactly what he meant. He chuckled again, causing a warm burst to travel up your core at the sound. “To put it simply, we were meant to find each other...at least that’s what I think…” When his voice trailed off, you took that as initiative to approach him. To be honest, you didn’t know where this sudden act of bravery came from but the way Seokjin looked in a towel was magnetizing.
“Even after last night, you believe that?” Your voice was soft and timid. It was a question you were scared to ask. Truthfully, you didn’t want to know the answer. You just wanted to stay in this moment. Replay it over again and hear those words again. But he took you away from that as you felt his hand cup your cheek, forcing you to stare into those deep dark eyes that you had admired from a far before.
“Especially after last night,” he breathed into you. Blinking a few times to make sure this was really happening, you tried to lean in to your lips would meet his but he stopped you.
“Let me get dressed,” he smiled as he walked away to his closet. The sudden lack of his warm skin against yours almost froze you over where you stood. But instead, you walked behind him as he approached his closet. Jin was infectious that night. The minute he touched you, it was like you gained a hunger you’ve never felt before. It was insatiable and the only thing you to calm it was the taste of his flesh. Tonight, you didn’t want Jin. You didn’t crave him. You needed him.
You started at his shoulders, trailing kisses everywhere in the space between them. He exhaled slowly, letting his head fall back slightly as he clung to a piece of clothing in his closet for support.
“(Y/N), you’re making this...ahhh,” he couldn’t finish his sentence as you moved your tongue along the crook of his neck up to his ear. Your hands roamed the front of his body as you held him close to you.
“Jin,” you whispered in his ear, your hands stopped at the towel.
“Hmm?” he said, biting his lower lip as you grabbed at the fabric around his waist.
“Do you still want me?” you purred into his ear as you stuck your fingers in through his towel, running them along the skin at his hip. Jin grabbed your wrist and removed your hand. He turned around so that he was now facing you.
“(Y/N),” he groaned as you felt his hands run down your back, cupping your bottom so he could pull you into him. “Want isn’t even the word.”
His hands traveled down your thigh as he pulled your dress over your hips. The space between you disappeared as your lips collided against each other, overlapping each other glacially. You moaned into him as you felt his hand slide down the bare skin on the back of your thighs. His other hand mirrored the action and suddenly, you couldn’t feel the ground beneath you. He picked you up and threw your legs around him. You cupped his face with one hand and with your free arm, you held on to him for support. The sound of both of you moaning and panting filled the room as he carried you over to his computer chair.
As he plopped down, you adjusted your self, straddling him while your other hand cupped his other cheek. His hands fell down to your bottom again, gripping onto you as you continued to taste each other. Your tongues danced together, lapping feverishly against each other. Jin pushed your dress up your stomach, past your breast slowly as he ghosted his hands over them. You pulled away for a second so he could successfully extract the dress off you but continued that minute he glimpsed at the way you looked in your undergarments.
“It’s been...so long,” you said amidst the messy kisses. “I can...I can’t wait.” He chuckled at you as his mouth moved from your lips to the space in between your breast. Jin started kissing and licking against your skin as his hands reach around you and started undoing the clasps of your bra. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders, letting your hand run through the hair behind his head as he devoured you. When he successfully undid your bra, he slid the straps down your arms and discarded it across the room. Jin’s hands cupped at your breasts and he brought them down to him. Pushing them together, he looked up at you as he ran his tongue over your nipple, swirling around it lightly before darting to your other nipple. His tongue working on that nipple before darting back to the other. Then back again. The sensation of him alternating back and forth quickly caused your heat to throb. He did this slowly at first, loving the way you rocked your hips against him. You could feel his erection through the fabric of the towel, wanting to rip it off him and feel that member inside you.
His motions became faster, sucking and licking at both your breasts in intervals. At first you were panting and moaning softly at his touch, but as he bite at you softly, you let out a small whimper that put him over the edge. He pulled the towel off him from under you and he placed two fingers against your heat, feeling the juices that soaked through your panties.
“Do I make you this wet, (Y/N)?” he growled as he pushed the fabric aside, running a finger against your entrance. You groaned needily and collapsed on him, your head resting on his as you held him tightly to you. “You don’t want to wait?” he whispered into your ear.
“I can’t wait,” you whined as he teased you, moving his thumb against your clit. “I need you, Jin. I need you so bad.” And those words were true because you couldn’t wait. Your hand coasted down between you two. Without haste, you grabbed his cock pushed his hand aside as you brought it to your entrance.
“Look it how wet you made me,” you cooed as you started to pump him slowly, rubbing the tip of his cock along your soaked essence. He twitched underneath you and mumbled a few curses under his breath. Jin’s hands traveled back to your bottom but this time he grabbed at it firmly, as if trying to hold himself up. “Do you really want to, tesoro?” he whimpered as you teased him, picking up the pace in your wrist. “You want to fuck me?”
“No,” he grunted, grabbing your hand away from his length as he jerked his hips forward. He slipped inside you aggressively, stretching you out without warning. You threw yourself forward into him, moaning loudly into his shoulder. At first, he was guiding your hips slowly. The pain of his member piercing inside you was being dulled down by pleasure. You shifted on him and directed his head against your spot.
“Jin...you’re fucking me now aren’t you?” your voice was shaky as you found your rhythm and started grinding against him. His lips parted and his head rolled back as you rolled into him. Jin ignored your question as he got lost in you. Your breast moving and bouncing as you rode him, the way your hair brushed against his face. You could feel him throbbing inside you lightly. He was close, but he was holding back. You started tantalizing him, bouncing on him instead. The way your womanhood suctioned around him as your body eased in and out of him caused him to grip at your waist, pushing you up and down him a little bit faster.
“(Y/N)...” he husked as you tightened your walls around him. “I can’t fuck you…” your eyes met and locked before he spoke again. “Because...uhhh...you aren’t,” his cock slammed into your spot again, causing you to moan loudly. You felt his length twitch inside you again at the sound. “You aren’t a fuck...I lov-ahhh fuck…” The walls of your womanhood started to tighten unwillingly around him. You bounced on his cock faster and with more force, constantly crashing against your spot. Instantaneously, he started to bring his hips up and push himself into you.
“Come with me, jagi...come with me,” he begged breathlessly as he brought you down to him, embracing you as you bounced your bottom up and down. Your fingernails dug into his back as you felt pure euphoria blast through your whole body, setting all your nerve receptors on fire.
“Jin,” you chanted over and over again as you gushed all over his thighs. He grunted lowly as your muscles twitched against him, bringing him to his climax. A loud moan escaped his lips as he shot his load inside you. His body quivering and shaking underneath you as you rode out his and your orgasm.
The both of you sat there for a minute, panting heavily and sighing loudly. Jin’s hands rested at your bottom and he leaned his head against your arm. His lips brushed against your inner bicep and he kissed the spot repeatedly as you regained your breath.
“Jagi,” Finally breaking the silence, he ran his hands up and down your back lightly. “I’m sorry.” Taken aback by his words, you sat back and looked at him quizzically.
“Sorry? For what?” you uttered breathlessly. He brought his hands up to your hips and looked at you with sincerity.
“For creating a scene yesterday, putting you in an awkward position. I should have walked away earlier. There are things I shouldn’t have said to him. Not because they aren’t true but because they caused everything to escalate. This whole thing should have been settled more maturely...and for that I’m sorry.” As he spoke, you couldn’t help but furrow your eyebrows and run a hand through his hair.
“I see,” you raked your fingers through his hair again, loving the way his wet locks felt against your palms and between your fingers. “Well apology not accepted. You have nothing to apologize for, Jin. I think if I was in your position, I would have handled things similarly or...stupidly,” he cocked his head to the side and pursed his lips as you spoke. His eyes threatening to close as you continued to comb through his hair. “You handled everything better than anyone else probably would. I mean, you’re here with me now. Who would want to see me after last night?” Jin sighed and grabbed the hand that was working into his hair. He brought it down to his mouth and kissed your wrist lightly.
“You might be right. But I can only speak for myself. And I’m not proud of how I acted. Chanyeol shouldn’t be either but I digress,” his face scrunched up as he uttered his name.
“So you’re not mad at me?” you asked timidly. He raised an eyebrow and kissed your wrist again.
“No, I wouldn't say I’m not mad. I’m just coping with it,” he let out a sigh and grabbed your other hand before he continued. “When I met you, I knew what pretenses they were under. What you were about. The things you wouldn’t tolerate…” he licked his lips and looked at you tenderly. “Your fear of falling in love...and that’s all okay. It’s fine. Ultimately, it’s my fault for making it out to be more than what it was and making it about love.”
“Jin,” you stopped him abruptly. “Making what about love? What are you saying?” He blinked at your several times, you saw his adam's apple bob up and down as he swallowed hard.
“Right…” he sighed and bit his lip, putting his arms around your waist bringing you closer to him. “Jagi, there was something I wanted to tell you yesterday, do you remember?” You shook your head at him, nervously.
“Yes, I do.” For a second, he stopped breathing and his hands trembled against your hips. He looked down momentarily, as if trying to find the words to say in between your naked bodies but then he looked up at you. The silence was giving you anxiety.
“(Y/N)...” he brought a hand up to your cheek and looked deeply into your eyes.
“I...I love you.”

Finally?
A/N: Okay, I think I done fucked up here and wrote something different to what you intended because I’m dumb! I knew I’d changed the scenario a bit but after re-reading the ask, I think I completely misinterpreted it lmao! I’m sorry but I’m not starting again! The general almost gist is there right?
Characters: Sam x Reader, Dean

My Masterlist!
~ Sam and forever tags are open! ~
Tags at the bottom and mostly taken from @spnfanficpond Sam list. Get in touch if you wanna be added or removed!
A loud bang from next door wakes you. You jolt up hastily in your bed, sleepy fog clouding your brain. It takes you a moment to remember you're in a motel and not your room in the bunker. Sam laid sound asleep in the single bed next to yours, undeterred by the noise. His and your laptops lay open on the table in the centre of the room. Books were strewn across the floor. You were having no luck working out what this damn creature was, so decided to call it a night and try again in the morning with refreshed and rested minds.
More banging and crashing next door, this time Sam did awake and sit up, his tight white t-shirt and scuffed bed hair just visible in the small amount of light.
“What the hell?” he groans, rubbing his eyes.
“It's coming from Dean's room...” you yawn, “Sounds like he just got back...”
You reach for your phone on the bedside table and click the screen on, the blaring light taking your eyes by surprise and making you wince. It was 3am, you'd managed maybe an hours worth of light sleep.
“Should we check on him?” you ask the younger Winchester. “I wouldn't,” Sam grumbles, like he knew something you didn't.
Right on cue, laughter could be heard next door, both male and female.
“Huh,” you huff, “Someone got distracted when scouting the locals for info at the bar then...”
“Are you honestly surprised?”
You sigh deeply, of course you weren't surprised. The laughter next door silenced, replaced now with moans.
“Oh god...” you whine, grimacing.
Sam doesn't reply, but rubs his forehead with embarrassment.
Banging started again next door. The familiar thud and squeaks of a creaky bed hitting the wall. The precise wall that separated your room from his.
You groan again childishly, dropping back to the mattress violently and tightly gripping the pillow around your head to blot out the noise.
Dean's lady friend sounded like she was having a swell time, her moans becoming over the top screams of pleasure, calling out his name and wailing with the full force of her lungs.
“IS HE FUCKING SERIOUS!?” you snap, roaring hysterically as you sit back up and punch at the wall, “Knock it off you pair of sluts!!!”
Nothing changes, if anything the volume somehow increases. You clench your eyes shut, gritting your teeth and trying to not let the red mist descend. The rustling sound of movement from Sam's direction grabs your attention. Opening one eye, you see him getting out of bed, throwing on a shirt and heading back to his laptop.
“What are you doing?” you question.
“Well I'm not listening to that,” he remarks, plugging some headphones into laptop's jack, “Might as well carry on where I left off.”
You whimper, throwing your head back with a light thud against the wall behind you. The realisation that you can now feel the vibrations from that pair next door's shenanigans is too much to bear. You reluctantly follow Sammy’s suit, finding your way back over to your computer and plugging in some headphones of your own. You pick out your loudest heavy rock playlist, hoping the sound of blaring guitars is enough to drown them two out as well as keep you awake.

Hours passed. Every now and then you would tentatively remove one earbud to see if the 'action' was over. You gave up trying after the fifth attempt. Researching with Sam was a regular occurrence. You had your habits that you'd developed together while doing so. You'd take it in turns to go fetch coffee, laugh and share when you'd accidentally stumbled on not so legit lore sites, take breaks and check each other's internet history to see whose laptop Dean had stolen for a porn fix. The idle chit-chat was what made it though. You and Sam could just sit and talk all matter of subjects for days if given the opportunity. The research would probably get done a lot faster if you focused more on that. That's what made this particular session all the more torturous, besides Dean's sexual gorilla grunts echoing from next door. You couldn't talk. You had heavy guitar murdering your eardrums, and you suspected Sam was no doubt listening to some form of educational history podcast. He was such a nerd, but you thought it was cute.

As more time dragged past, you felt the fatigue begin to hit. Sleep deprivation made your eyes tired, the harsh light from the computer screen made them ache. Your ears were no doubt going to start bleeding soon from the loud music attacking them. Not to mention you were bored. So damn bored. The lack of interaction was mind-numbing, time to rectify this. You brought up your email, and proceeded to send Sam a message.
I'm bored.
You notice the change in colour to the light reflecting onto Sam's clothes, confirming he'd received your whiny note. You got a reply.
Ditto.
I'm making Dean's life hell today, just so you know. I need my beauty sleep dammit!
No objections here! What are you planning?
I haven't thought that far ahead...
Sam looked over the top of his screen at you. A mischievous twinkle in those hazel eyes. You raise an inquisitive eye and wear a curious smile. You observe as he slowly removes his headphones, and expresses a sigh of relief. You remove yours too, to be met with wondrous silence.
“At last!” you cheer, “I need sleeeeep.”
“Bit late for that now really,” Sam grimaces, flashing his phone screen at you to reveal it was now 10am.
“Damn you Dean Winchester,” you grumble sulkily shooting a glare at the wall he resided behind, “I at least need coffee then. Shall I do a run?”
“First,” he smiles, swishing a pointed finger through the air, “Got an idea.”
You narrow your eyes with slight suspicion, watching him head towards one of the beds and grab the rail at the bottom of it. He pulls the bed back and slams it hard into the wall.
“Whoa!” you jump, “What the hell Sammy?”
“Ugh!” he groans loudly, “Oh, Y/N!”
You choke on a laugh, not quite believing what you're seeing. You hastily join his side, grabbing the bed and aiding him in crashing it into the wall.
“Sammy!” you squeal dramatically, “Oh god! Please! Deeper! Faster!”
The immaturity continues, the both of you stifling childish laughs as you slam the bed harder and shout with all the gusto you have. Soon enough, you're putting so much effort and energy into it, you were getting hot and sweaty like the real deal, minus the tears of laughter.
“Sam!” you cry enthusiastically, “I'm so close! Oh! Ah!”
Finally, a noise from next door, the door slamming. You quickly bring a finger to your lips, gesturing to Sam to be quiet and you both fall into silence, shoulder's shaking wildly from trying to hold back your laughs. What sounds like fists start thumping on your room's door, followed by Dean's raised voice.
“Guys!!” he blares, “I mean...finally and all that but c'mon! Some consideration for others please!!”
You're practically biting your fist, mortified at his hypocrisy. After a few moments, you hear the next room's door slam once again.
“Can you believe him?” you titter, gasping for breath from all the laughter.
“Unfortunately yes,” Sam chuckles wiping tears from his eyes.
“But er...” you shuffle on your feet, “What d'ya think he meant by... 'finally'?”

Homo Homini Lupus Est Chapter 1 : Sheltered by cottage, the last remain
A/N: I do not own RWBY.
...
Homo Homini Lupus Est
Long, long ago in the vast kingdom of Vale. At the edge of the Emerald forest where monsters lurked and bandits lived in the penumbra of the Kingdom's reach. There lied the small village of Patch. Quant, peaceful and seemingly carefree the villagers lived in peace despite their insignificant lives. But fame and fortune didn't matter to these people as their lives were enriched by their passions those around them.
Lumber, Farming and Fishing
In fact Patch didn't seem like a village at all, but rather one big home…a family. Everyone supporting one another during those harsh winter nights and plagues of sickness.
Shelter, medicine, a hearty meal.
They were not bound to their earthly possessions, but found value in memories, bonds and another's laugh. So perhaps it was best that Patch was sheltered from the rest of the word, remaining uncorrupted by greedy merchants and tax collectors. But unbeknownst to them, a dark secret had already started brewing among them. Festering in a small cabin hidden in the woods...
***
It was serene...
Peaceful.
The sun glazed the trees and shrubbery of the Emerald forest a golden yellow, as the rays of light slowly reached up into the sky and filtered through the trees. Branches swayed to the gentle gusts of wind and the small sets of paws scampering across.
Thrush's song called all wildlife to rise for another day. The sparse clouds showing promise of the sun rays to be carried late into the following hours. As it would not dare to obscure the eye of heaven.
And yet the golden light could only peek into the cosy cabin, nestled in between the penumbra of Patch and the Emerald forest. Its doors and windows were closed to the rest of the word. The house itself seemed to be asleep with its lifeblood still snuggling under the covers of their bed.
Two bodies, a tangling of limbs steadily rose and fell with each breath of air they took. Peacefully lost in their subconscious from which birdsong tried to shake them from.
Once again a ringing wheet wheet echoed through the woodlands. Followed by the rattling and creaking of small hands tugging at a wooden frame of a cot.
Wheet wheet!
"Noooo." One of the women groaned in protest and blindly grabbed for another pillow to hide her head behind, but she could not escape the noise that her sensitive ears were picking up.
Wheetwheetwheetwheetwheeeeeeet
"Make it stoooop."
And when the presence next to her started to stir she shuffled closer. Wrapping her arms around the other's waist to press herself against the soft warmth that was reaching out for her. It engulfed her like a protective blanket and how she wished that she could stay like that.
Wheet wheet
It seemed as if nature itself was jealous and tried its best to tug them out of their soothing stupor, but one woman wasn't having any of that.
"Cinder…Go…throw a rock at the stupid thing or…something." When her disgruntled growl grazed against her partner's ear, Cinder let out a sigh. But the other could hear her ghost of a smile.
"…I hope you are not talking about our daughter, Ruby."
Still her eyes were kept shut, not yet ready to face the break of dawn. As if on cue the rattling of the cot nearby and incoherent babble and giggles rang through the room. A sound that would usually be music to their ears but that morning it served as a reminder of how Cinder and Ruby hardly slept a wink.
"Why can't she just sleeeeep?" Ruby groaned and pulled the blanket over her head. Leaving her wife open to the cool touch of the morning air. Now awake, Cinder cracked open her eyes and like a flame being set alight her gaze came into focus. Shifting from the sunlight filtering through the window to the cot in front of their bed.
A pair of golden eyes mirrored Cinder's, lighting up with excitement when the toddler saw her mother. Swaying on unsteady feet she clapped her hands together, incoherent babble growing a pitch louder as if to call her over. Then losing her footing and landing on the bundle of blankets with wide eyed surprise. Cinder couldn't help but to smile at the sight as she swung her feet over the edge of the bed.
The wooden floor beneath her feet was cold and the deer skin carpet did little to ward of morning's cool touch. It seemed to drain her even further of sleep. And when the creaking of floorboards reached the little one's ear, she broke out into squeals of excitement. Successfully scaring off any creature that might be scurrying around the woods nearby.
When the toddler saw her mother, her eyes lit up as she held up her hands and reached out in between gruntled giggles. "Mmma."
It was a word that always brought a smile to Cinder's lips and this time there was no exception.
"Morning my little fang."
Her soft spoken tone was just above a whisper. And instead up picking her up, Cinder watched half amused as her daughter continued to flair her arms. Uttering small whines while trying to get up on her feet again.
"Cinder, don't me mean." Her wife sounded from behind, she now awake as well and sitting propped up on the bed.
"It is the only way she'll learn." The woman defended and held out a hand for the toddler to latch onto. Even if the last she needed was for Saffron to burst out crying first thing that morning, Cinder still wanted her to learn things on her own. Something that came with being raised in the wilderness by a pack.
Then either by some understanding or just wanting to be held, the toddler latched onto her mother's finger. With one hand and the other onto the frame did she manage to pull herself onto her feet.
"Ah." She exclaimed, as if to say 'I did it!' This time with a happy smile, Cinder picked her up. Saffron instantly curled into the warmth of her mother that the toddler seemed to ignite in the woman's chest.
"Look how big you're getting." She praised and her daughter's eyes soon found her own, almost as if she could pick up the cheer in her voice.
"Mma."
Ruby watched the sight with pure joy in her silver eyes. And as her wife came to sit next to her with the little one in her lap, she planted a chaste kiss on the other’s cheek.
"Morning." She murmured and Cinder returned a soft kiss on Ruby's lips, closing her eyes to the familiar scent of roses. "Good morning to you." But was pulled from her thoughts when she felt a tug at her hair.
Cinder said nothing, but Ruby couldn't stop the giggles from escaping her. At the sound, Saffron turned her attention towards her mom, fistfuls of midnight hair in her tiny hands.
"Morning to you too my little one." She laughed and used the soft fabric of her nightgown to wipe the excess drool from her daughter's face. Saffron had finally started teething and the experience proved to be very unpleasant for the whole family. But both parents were silently relieved, for their little fang was just a late bloomer. And although something like that didn't bother Ruby in the slightest, Cinder was worried.
"Did you sleep alright?" Ruby murmured and smilingly tried to keep Saffron from chewing Cinder's hair.
"I've slept better, as I would prefer that you keep to your share of the covers. And if this one could sleep through the night." The woman teased. A touch of amusement to her voice when Saffron took hold of her hand, before starting to chew on her mother's fingers.
"Does it still hurt, little fang?" Cinder could not help but to feel sorry for the little one as she gently started to rub a finger over the swollen gums.
"Do you think they're canines?" Ruby wondered out loud. As it wasn't uncommon for developing children to subconsciously switch halfway through forms.
"It does not seem like it, no." Cinder answered upon closer inspection albeit a bit disappointedly.
So far Saffron has showed no signs of any werewolf traits. Another thing that her parents had mixed feelings about. Yes, she didn't have to be on guard or hiding from Huntsmen. But it would also mean that she wouldn't be able to protect herself from predators such as Grimm, other werewolves or even Faunus.
But it was still early and they wouldn't know for sure whether Saffron was a shifter or not until she turned about thirteen. Of course that was last thing on their minds. All that mattered now was handling their little teething nightmare. And when Cinder felt satisfied that the pain had been soothed, she removed her finger from the toddler's gums.
Saffron let out satisfied gurgle before her attention turned to her mom. "Mam."
"Yes my darling, mum's right here." Ruby cooed and Saffron instantly lit up at her reaction. On unsteady hands and feet she crawled closer, almost over the woman before Cinder intervened.
"Mammmm." At eleven months old Ruby didn't think that her daughter could sound even a little annoyed and yet there she was. Saffron looking at her with question as to why she couldn't move, squirming to escape her mother's gentle hold.
"Cinder." Ruby gave her a knowing look to which the other replied with a sigh as she let go of the toddler.
Ever since Ruby realised that she was pregnant with their second child, Cinder had become especially protective of her. And at times the gestures made Ruby's heart flutter with how sweet she found it. That was when those gestures weren’t rather restricting. Like the fact that the she couldn't continue forging weapons, opting to take on a part time job at a small bookshop in Patch instead. But the free time at home did have some perks. Ruby could experiment with serving new meals for her family. The meals being cakes, cookies, jams and various other treats.
"Come and say good morning to your little sister." Ruby ushered closer, but instead of turning her attention to her mom’s stomach she crawled towards her smile. Small hands pressing softly against pink dusted cheeks as she grinned.
"Mam."
The child's touch seemed to light Ruby up with a beaming grin that radiated a pure joy a thousand suns could only dream of having.
"That’s right, it's Mommy."
When she gingerly took hold of her daughter's hands to place a kiss against her palms, Saffron let out an excited squeal. It was only then that Cinder realised that she had been staring at the mother - daughter pair this whole time. Not that she could help it. It was moments like these. Moments when Cinder realised what had been missing in her life when she couldn't help but savour every second.
"Look who's that?" Ruby exclaimed as she pointed towards Cinder, who only raised an eyebrow at the sight. "Who's that?" Saffron's gaze swiftly followed her mom's until she stared into a mirror or gold.
The years of hardships and cruel reality of the world that Cinder faced had turned the fire in her eyes into a smouldering coal. A gaze once always guarded, betraying no emotion, until she the spark in Ruby's flint steel eyes set her heart on fire. And gradually over the years, Cinder was able to look at her lover with a warm inferno in her eyes. With Saffron being the small spark that came from that love.
"Ma."
And without meaning to Cinder's lips twitched into a smile once again.
"Oh you're getting so good that this!" Ruby praised and clapped her hands, Saffron imitating in between excited gurgles. After a bit of grumbling and strain Ruby managed to lift Saffron onto her wobbly legs before, grinning mischievously at her wife. "Now give Ma a hug."
Almost falling back down, Saffron reached out and took a step toward her mother…and another. Then once she stood in front of her, the toddler half - leaned half fell over into her mother's embrace. Welcoming, loving her unconditionally.
"Ha-gh"
Gingerly Cinder wrapped her arms around the little girl, closing her eyes to the soft smell of milk and warmth that she radiated.
'I love you my darling.'
To Cinder, those words were the purest truth in the world. It was a thought whispered between mother and daughter as she pressed a tender kiss to the toddler's forehead. And when she squealed and gurgled in delight, Cinder knew for certain that she had heard her. That she understood. Saffron could hear the thoughts shared between them, just like her and Ruby.
"Now…where is your sister?"
The moment Cinder saw the glowing pride upon a glance her way, she knew that Ruby heard... felt it too.
"Sa." The girl exclaimed as she stumbled her way back to her mom, snapping both women out of their thoughts. With a small 'oof', Saffron landed on her bottom once again and happily tapped her hand against her mom's stomach.
"Sa sa sa sa sa."
There was no stopping Ruby's laughter and the sun rays itself seemed to shine brighter into the room, as if they were drawn to the pure happiness in the air.
Saffron followed soon after, joyously clapping her hands at the delightful sound. Even if the toddler looked more towards her mother rather than mom. With her gold eyes and amber locks of hair, Saffron would grow up to be much more like Ruby…Cinder was sure of it.
"It seems like someone cannot wait to meet our new addition." Cinder mused and placed her hand over her daughter's on Ruby's stomach. It was slight but the bulge promised a new life in their small family that was surely growing.
To be honest Cinder still couldn't quite wrap her mind around how Ruby managed to convince her for them to have a child…much less a second. There were a lot of risks involved… especially for their kind . Newfound peace wasn't something that the woman wanted to give up. But Cinder would never regret their decision. And as she watched the mother daughter pair half talking - half babbling about the coming baby, she was overcome with joy.
At that moment…it was a feeling that she wanted to cherish.
…
In the Rose household mealtimes always followed with a messy kitchen. But the statement was even more true that morning. Ruby never thought that her daughter would turn out to be a picky eater. But when she had tried to get Saffron to eat some solids that proved to be the case. It was like the toddler had some kind of grudge against any and every food that turned out to be green. Even when small bits were mixed in with panada, Saffron remained defiant.
Ruby sighed. Frowning down at the small bowl of hardly touched breakfast before turning to Cinder. “I can’t tell whether she doesn’t like the food or if it’s because of the teething.” Who was busy with her own serving of what was left of last night’s rabbit stew. Looking up from the murky mixture of meat and vegetables with half lidded interest. “Does it matter?” Her wife returning a look that clearly read ‘What kind of question is that?’
“She needs to eat regardless what the reason for her lack of appetite might be.” She stated as a matter of fact while absentmindedly sifting through her breakfast. Amber gaze shifting towards the toddler who was staring at the bottle of strawberry jelly on the table. Groaning as she futilely tried to reach for it. Having inherited her mom’s appetite no doubt.
Ruby huffed in slight frustration. Hands on her hips as she looked towards the other for advice. “Well I can’t exactly force it down her throat now can I?”
‘That’s debatable.’ The woman growled while taking another bite before she got a dap of panada against the nose. ‘I heard that.’ The look of sudden surprise on her face enough to make Ruby break into a full out grin. Wiping the residue porridge off her face before standing up. Tone teasing as she spoke. “It seems like Saffron inherited her eating habits from her mom.” Shooting her a playful smile that the other returned with a stuck out tongue.
“At least I’m not walking half naked around the house.” Ruby defended. Mentioning the fact that her partner wasn’t wearing much besides a dressing gown. The cotton fabric doing little to hide the fair skin of slender legs as Cinder sauntered over. Leaning forward until their bodies almost pressed together against the dining table. “Oh but I’m not hearing you complain.”
Ruby giggled softly in return. Fingers playing with the trimmings of her dress as she gazed teasingly into a pair of golden eyes. Hands sliding down her back to rest against the table. “And if you get Saffron to eat her porridge then I won’t.” Interrupting her wife’s train of thought as she held up the bowl in front of her with an apologetic smile.
“Mind feeding Saffron for me while I get ready?”
Cinder replying with a kiss to the forehead.
“Of course.”
Watching her disappear around the doorway before turning her attention back to the toddler. Who was busy slamming her fists against the table of the high chair, demanding food and attention. The woman half amused at the sight as she moved over to the counter. “I will feed you in just a moment little fang.” Taking out a few strings of meat out of the iron pot before starting cutting it into pieces. Chopping the pieces at a lightning speed until she was certain that one would be able to drink it if they tried.
Turning towards her daughter with a hopefully more desired serving of food. A small smile twitching at her lips when Saffron reached out for it. Whether she was drooling because of her teething or hunger, Cinder didn't know. But once Saffron started eating mouth full after mouth full she assumed it to be the latter. Smiling with content the woman set the empty dish back down on the table.
But whether her serving was finished or not, the toddler still tried to grab hold of the strawberry jam.
“Maaa.” Whining in protest when Cinder picked it up, only to then be put away in a cupboard. “We don’t to repeat last week’s stomach now do we little one?” Proceeding to pick up a pair of torn trousers that was hanging over her loom .
“A dollop of jam never hurt anyone Cinder.” Ruby assured as she entered the kitchen once again but all she got in turn was a raised eyebrow. Saying nothing at first before her attention drifted to Ruby's attire. A frown creased her brow. " I thought we agreed on no hard labour whilst you’re expecting?"
The woman smiled apologetically back at her. "I know but the shipment of books came in early and since Grish is still helping out at the Mulberry's farm, I promised I'd be there."
Cinder tilted her head to the side as she cocked an eyebrow inquiringly at the other. “And when did you hear that bit of information?” Making Ruby smile sheepishly as she scratched the back of her head.
“Uhm...two days ago?”
“And you didn’t consider telling your wife beforehand?”
Ruby instantly picked up on that slightly annoyed tone. Only able to hold up her and in front of her in apology as she stepped closer to her wife.
“I know I should have, but with Saffron being so fussy last night and the hardly sleeping these past few days I’ve just completely forgotten.” Sighing in defeat before meeting Cinder’s eyes with silver sincerity. “I’m sorry.” Softening her hard stare as she set the thread and needle in her hands back down. Unimportant for the moment as she crossed hr arms.
"I’m not very fond of the idea of you walking all the way to Patch.” She was not necessarily angry. But the thought of Ruby being too far away from her, especially around humans, it made all her senses stand on edge.
“It’s only five minutes away. I won’t be gone too long.” Offering her a reassuring smile as she sat down on a chair across her partner. Tone tinged with humour as she spoke. “Just because I’m pregnant doesn’t mean that I’m suddenly made out of glass." Then took her wife's hands in her own, warm calloused and comforting. "But I appreciate that you're looking out for me." Rising them to her lips and pressing against in a soft kiss. Followed by another on her lips. "I always love it when you get a little possessive."
The woman grinned in return. "Is that so?" Then leaned forward to capture her lips one more time. And again...and again, eliciting faint giggles from her partner.
"Cinder…" Who gently placed her hands against the other's chest before resting their foreheads together. "You are going to make the baby much too excited."
"Is that a bad thing?" She wondered out loud and teased her partner with a kiss on the cheek before sitting back in her chair. Ruby's hand trailed down to her stomach. She wasn't wearing her corset anymore, Cinder noticed.
"I do not think I am ready to have Cinnamon kicking at me already."
Has it really been three months already? She wondered but her attention was swiftly diverted. "Cinnamon?"
Ruby nodded and stood up to let Saffron out the highchair. Setting her down on a sheepskin carpet, among her favourite stuffed animals in their tiny living room. "I think it sounds fitting ,don't you?"
Cinder set her sewing down once again, tapping a finger to her chin in thought. "I would prefer something like... Tarragon or-"
"Cinn." The other quipped and she let out a sigh, right now she wasn't going to get any work done in fixing the Brown children's trousers.
"Preferably not named after me." Ignoring her wife's pout as she did so and got up to help with the washing of dishes.
"Aah how cooome?" Ruby groaned and lightly leaned her head against the other's shoulder, searching for comfort but all she got in turn was an annoyed huff.
"You know how that cur- conservative fool can be with his idiotic superstitions." She muttered while viciously scrubbing an iron pot, trying and failing to hide her distaste for said person. Ruby stopped for a moment. Turning to point a wooden spoon warningly at the other. "If Saffron starts teaching other kids bad words then I'll be very cross with you. And don't talk about Pastor Noir like that, he means well."
"Well?" Cinder scoffed, her tone more a growl than anything else. "He's bordering on senile." Ruby shoved her lightly in reply. "Don't be mean."
"I'm simply stating the truth." She affirmed and started drying off the plates, stopping when she heard a thought crossing the other's mind. 'Meanie.' Followed by a teasing smile from Ruby.
Cinder cocked an eyebrow at her wife. "Mean am I?" Making the woman giggle as she murmured into her ear, playfully swatting before pulling her in for a chaste kiss. "Very." With both admiration and annoyance gleaming in her eyes Ruby cupped the woman's cheeks. "But I still love you."
"I love you too." Cinder breathed. Then wondered what the other was up to once she noticed her cheeky grin. "Which is why you're letting me name our little cinnamon bun."
The woman shook her head internally, honestly, Ruby could be so incredibly stubborn when she wanted to. "I didn't realise you were so adamant about this." More of an ox than a wolf.
"And I didn't realise you are the one who's pregnant."
Perhaps even a chattering monkey or parrot, Cinder decided, grinning slyly as her hands slid downward.
"But I impregnated you, didn't I?" And chuckled when Ruby let out a small yelp. "Yes, and I still can't decide whether love or hate you for it."
Then as if the little one could understand her, Ruby turned towards Saffron. "Mommy still loves you." Who only stared back blankly, a stuffed vole hanging from her mouth. Then back at Cinder, pointing a finger against her shoulder, silver gaze unwavering as she spoke. "I'm naming Cinder the second, the Alpha Wolf has spoken."
If her words were supposed to intimidate the other, it sure wasn't working. With a sly grin, Cinder wrapped her arms around Ruby's waist. "Oh? Playing that game, are we?" She purred. Moving in for a kiss but the woman put a hand over her mouth. "Not when we have a little one watching." And when she mentioned to the toddler who was now watching intently, Cinder couldn't help but feel a tad disappointed.
…
"Are you going out today?" Ruby asked while gathering the things needed before going out to town. A few bottles of home cooked marmalade. Perfect for selling at the upcoming First Harvest Festival.
"I was planning on finishing repairing Mrs. Brown's children's trousers." She gave the marred fabric in her hands a sceptical glance. "If they aren't were-kind themselves, then I honestly don't know how they can tear through the fabric that easily."
Ruby chuckled internally as she watched their little one play with two wood animals at her mother's feet. Knowing that Saffron will most likely be ten times worse after her first Change. "I'll make sure to give them a little sniff when I see them."
"Why do you ask, do you need anything?"
"I could use a bit of chamomile, hopefully it will help Saffron sleep through the night, and some elderflower for the coming winter. I have a feeling that it's going to be a cold one." Cinder almost got up before Ruby waved reassuringly. "But it's fine, I can buy some at the market." But she was back on her feet already. "Absolutely not. With those prices it's practically daylight robbery."
Saffron squealed in unknowing agreement, catching her mom's attention as the woman turned towards the pair. "Are you taking Saffron out then?"
"Shouldn't I?"
Ruby nodded, thinking it a good idea. "It'll be good for her." Then quickly adding. "Just be careful when carrying her." She was beginning to sound just like Cinder.
"Are you initiating that I will drop my own daughter?" The woman dared, catching Ruby's gaze just as she walked past.
"No, but you know how Saffron can be." Cinder returned a smile.
"Just like her mom."
***
…Two young women, werewolves, demons they were. Leeches, slowly sucking away at the livelihood of the village as they robbed the people of their friends and family. Slowly vanishing into the woodlands, one by one… Then blaming it on wild animals and bandits that might be skulking about. Lying through bloodied fangs, that were hidden from the villagers. They remained ignorant…innocent. But whether they knew it or not, the day would come when Patch would be nothing but a memory. For werewolves brought nothing but destruction and misery. Creations of an evil witch's curse. They were shadows, spilling out of the darkness that was Evil… keeping the flowers of Purity and Life from ever seeing the light…
***
Ruby wondered if enchanting abilities came with being a seamstress. Because after they got Saffron into her 'outdoor' clothes, the toddler wouldn't stop her joyous cries as she wriggled about in her mom's hold.
"Ra. Raaaa." Saffron bellowed, kicking her feet wildly in the air as they stood in the back garden, secluded between the cabin and the forest. Ruby only barely managed to keep a hold on the toddler, grinning with Saffron's contagious excitement. "What's that Saffron?"
"Rah!"
"You wanna see Ma turn into a wolf?" She feigned a surprised gasp, trying not to stare too much once Cinder removed all of her layers. Thank goodness for privacy, she thought.
"Raaah!"
Cinder couldn't stop the light chuckles that escaped her. "This one is a wolf for certain." Mirroring the look in her wife's eye. "Just like her mother."
Then without another word she crouched down and her porcelain form darkened to match the shade of her midnight hair, muscles and bone rippling like a shadow moulded in moving light. Steadily growing, sprouting claws and glinting fangs where teeth and nails used to be, followed by two ears and the 'swish' of a tail. The transformation only stopping when she cast a shadow over the other two, with Ruby now standing at the height of Cinder's crest. The woman... now a wolf 's eyes were set alight like the flames of a fire. Shades of gold glowing with the age-old magic that coursed through her veins.
To even the most seasoned of Huntsmen the sight would make them tremble in fear. A sign of death as they prayed to the gods for mercy. But for the toddler it meant adventure and excitement. And once Cinder lumbered over to the pair, Saffron broke into a fit of giggles and squeals.
"Rahrahrahrah."
And once the werewolf gently held Saffron by the clothing between her teeth as she swung about, Ruby tied a leather pouch with a few securing straps, to Cinder's fore chest. Normally used for carrying large amounts of medicinal herbs, spice and kill when out on excursions like this. Although now it also served as a little carrier for Saffron for when neither her mothers had the hands to. Free to observe the strokes of green, blue, yellow and dots of colour on the world's vast canvas before them.
And as Ruby stepped back, Saffron reached out for her. "Mamm. Raah." Making her mother's lips twitch into a longing smile as she took the toddler's small hands in her own. "Sorry my little one, Mommy's not coming along this time. But have fun and keep Ma safe alright?" Pressing a soft kiss against her forehead before facing Cinder, taking hold of her muzzle as she stared into her inferno gaze. "I'll see you just before tea?"
The werewolf nodded slowly as she nudged her affectionately. 'Of course.' Ruby smiled in return, closing her eyes and inhaling the spicy scent of her lover. Letting it overwhelm her senses for but a moment, the familiarity comforting to her. 'I love you.'
Cinder's eyes gleamed upon the touch of the other's lips against her snout. Returning the gesture as she licked her wife's cheek.
'I love you most.'
…
The few places where chamomile and elderflower did grow in the woodland weren't too far from their cottage. And the location made leisurely strolls the perfect opportunity to take Saffron along, who stared with wide eyed awe she stared at the butterflies fluttering about. Squealing in delight upon hearing bird's call.
Watching her daughter point and light up at every new discovery was like seeing the world for the first time. Through a child's eye everything was pure and wondrous. Countless questions yet to be asked, swirling through the little one's mind as she gazed up at the trees towering above them. Searching for the glimpses of blue sky that filtered through.
Nearing a fallen tree, bridging two ledges, Cinder came to a stop and sniffed it tentatively. The faint trace of sap was still seeping out. As she put one paw down on the trunk her ears twitched to hear even the faintest of cracks. When there was none, she shifted over her full weight, claws leaving a pattern of faint gashes on the bark as she crossed it. With her legs wriggling about, Saffron looked down at the shrinking wildlife from above and let out a pleased gurgle.
Cinder let out an amused snort. 'Not afraid of heights are we?' As she stepped over onto the opposite ledge, the faint 'rush' of a currant tickled at her ears, perking up at the sound as she lifted her head. Nearing the river Cinder managed to find a mouthful of elderflower. Eliciting a splutter of giggles when the little blossoms tickled at Saffron's face as it swayed between the werewolf's jaws. Placing her down on the moist ground, among the picked flora, Cinder bent down to lap at the coursing river. Drowning out the flower's bitter taste that still lingered on her tongue before settling down. With half lidded amusement she watched her daughter claw at the dirt around her. The toddler giggling as its touch slipped between her fingers.
Upon hearing the quack of wild geese flapping overhead, Saffron's head turned up. Following the flying dots of brown, black and grey as they flew. "Da." She uttered, pointing and turning to her mother who followed her gaze in turn. 'Those are birds.' She explained and Saffron visibly perked up at the sound in her mind. For a few moments her eyes wondered about before landing on a trail of moving black specs, pointing once again. 'And those are ants.'
As Saffron bounced up and down in a sitting position, Cinder wasn't quite sure whether she was excited learning new things or if just liked to hear her voice. Either way she was happy to name out everything that the toddler pointed too. 'A centipede.' Her childish wonder and thirst for discovery awoke a strange excitement within her that the werewolf couldn't quite place.
Once again looking around, Saffron pointed at the coursing waters behind her mother. "Da. Wush wush." Making her chuckle at the sound of illiterate babbling. 'Yes, that is the river.' Then as another handful of dirt sifted through her fingers, the toddler let out a surprised gasp when a small white stone remained, rising it over her head around a clasped fist. "Hee."
'Did you find something?' Cinder asked, feigning disbelief as Saffron held it out to her mother. 'Bring it to Ma.' She beckoned. 'Bring it to Ma.' Urging her on as the toddler walked towards her. First steps wobbly before gradually growing more sure footed as she reached her mother. Grabbing hold of tufts of fur before nuzzling against her chest, the touch brought Cinder a rush of affection. 'Oh you're such a good girl and look how far you've walked, I'm so proud of you!' She praised, pressing her snout against the toddler's forehead as she burst out laughing, holding out the little stone for her mother to see.
'Oh my, that is pretty. Do you want to show mom when we get back?' She asked, Saffron replying with silent agreement as she put it into the leather pouch. Then turned her attention back to her mother as she pressed her hands against the soft fur of her neck. Clumsily combing through the strands before falling down on her bottom once again. "Maaa." She groaned, almost as if she was blaming her mother for not keeping her from falling over.
Now sitting once more, Saffron stared with amber eyes back at her mother, unblinking, as if she was pondering life's deepest questions. Then pointed towards her. "Ma?" Tone sounding so close to a question that it almost startled the werewolf. Cinder blinked once, corners of her mouth twitching upward in what was supposed to be a grin, only now it bared fangs. 'Ma is a wolf.'
Saffron tilted her head to the side. Mashing sounds together in her mind to form the words that came out in a single bark. "Whaf."
The woman chuckled lightly. 'Wolf.' She repeated, subconsciously trying to form the words with her mouth, pulling it into the strangest of expressions, making the toddler giggle as she tried again. "Woof." The sound igniting a glint of praise in her mother's eye as she pressed her snout against the little one's forehead. 'Smart girl.' Before begrudgingly standing up right. With her jaws she picked up Saffron, then placed the little one back into the pouch along with the elderflower.
Raising her head up into the air Cinder sniffed the surrounding area, almost tasting it at the back of her mind as she mapped out the woodland enclosing them. Waterfall to the east, mountains to the north. A herd of deer down the river, stags. A bear and cubs, two at the most, passed through here, although long ago as the scent was stale, covered behind the veil of last week's rain. Smoke. The remains of a smouldering fire. Perhaps the work of bandits or a passing traveller, was just up ahead. Not something that she would've liked this close to the river as it would force Cinder to take a longer route to avoid any contact with them.
Oh times have changed, she mused upon turning to walk around that warning scent. As a child she heard stories of when werewolves used to be a feared and powerful race. Their packs strong and thriving. Faunus, vampires, mermaids and other were-kind all found a way to co-exist in the world known as Remnant.
All except one…
A species known as Man wanted to take all the world had to offer. They did not wish to co-exist and so…conflict arose. War. Countless years of bloodshed that drove mankind to the brink of extinction. But all that changed once they discovered the capabilities that one single crystal could offer them. Dust. Fire, ice, gravity, lighting…Nature's wrath wielded in Man's hands.
And as their strength in battle grew, so did their numbers. Aura, the sustenance of their souls evolving as well. Used to unlock and harness the magic given by the gods.
Before long prey turned into predator. Man fought back against the creatures of Remnant and placed themselves at the pinnacle of creation. Forcing others to flee from the so called 'light' that they cast upon the world, forcing them into the shadows of existence.
But Cinder's thoughts quickly snapped back to reality. A flash of reddish brown, swiftly darting past just and she leapt after it. Reacting on instinct. There was an audible squeal after the soft crunch of bones under her forepaws. Brown fur turned crimson as she removed her claws from the creature's neck.
'Foolish little squirrel.' She mused. Picking up her prey with little interest although there was no use in letting food go to waste. Saffron on the other hand was bubbling with excitement as she reached out for the swaying ball of fur. 'Hungry already?' Her mother teased when the toddler started tugging at the creature. Wanting her to hand it over. "Eee. Eee." Cinder's lips curled into a playful grin. Lifting her head to pull it out of reach each time she almost had it in her grasp, but let go just before the little one got too upset. Pout turning back into a smile as she thrashed the squirrel about. 'Don't you have enough playthings at home?' But the toddler's interest in her new plush toy was short lived once she caught sight of a vole sitting on a nearby log. Whining once it dove for cover a moment thereafter. 'Although I do agree they are much more fun alive.' She chuckled. 'But don't let your mom hear that.'
Her thoughts flashed back to the distant days of her childhood. Nights spent under starlight sky, days basking in the sun, running till heart's content through perpetual plains. Watching from mountaintop as the sun rose from out the protective cover of Mistral's forests. Its reach stretching far beyond the horizon. But those days were long gone. Times have changed. Werewolf packs were growing smaller and scarce as time passed, now they are nomads and loners. Scattered among the continent. Few and far in between. And Cinder quickly realised that werewolves among the common man, didn't have the same…unconventional upbringing as she did. But perhaps that was for the best. In this world for were-kind to survive, they had to become human.
And were Ruby adapted to change, like water flowing through an ever-changing creek, Cinder stubbornly clung to her roots, a boulder chipped away by the rushing currant of time. It was this difference that gave way to their different views of parenting. The cause of most of their recent arguments but also the most compromise, as both parents would sacrifice anything for their little girl.
Once Cinder could feel the rising sun beating down on her back she realised that the morning hours were starting to pass. The werewolf had to be quick if she wanted to be back before Ruby got home. As the last thing she wanted was to make her worry. So without wasting any more time she broke into a light jog before stopping at the foot of a vine covered precipice. Setting Saffron down between the cover of long, lush greenery after deeming the surroundings safe and free from any danger, with the squirrel to keep her entertained.
Scaling a tree, leaning heavily towards the ledge, she wished that she had been born a were-tiger instead. Her legs bunched up under her, shoulders straining before she leapt, barely making the eight metre jump with her hind legs scrambling to find footing. With a great heave and growl Cinder managed to pull the rest of her body onto the slippery overhang.
'If this doesn't knock you out then I'm turning to ale.' She thought sardonically and tore the flowers from the earth's grasp. Finding comfort in the fact that she still at least had some of her physical abilities from her more… carefree days. Not that she was old, far from it, not even in her prime yet. Although Cinder would be lying if she said that her now more domesticated lifestyle didn't make her tamer. The woman hoped that she didn't need to be anything else. Cinder wasn't fond of the idea but if being human brought them safety…then so be it.
Stuffing the chamomile into the pouch until she was sure that the sheer amount would make Saffron go into hibernation if need be, the werewolf turned to jump down again. But something stopped her. A shiver running down her spine, making the hairs on her back stand on end. A sixth sense alerting her of the impending danger that somehow escaped her nose. Standing on her full height, swaying slightly on her hind legs before raining her footing. The werewolf's steely gaze bore through the surrounding shrubbery. Then, her heart stopped. Under the shade of a nearby tree, at the edge of the clearing, almost hidden by the enveloping shadows it stood. Brilliant blue eyes, sun streaked blonde hair, white and gold armour, sword and shield. A knight at first glance. But when he didn’t retreat, Cinder assumed the worst.
He drew his sword. Sight of the blade sending a shiver down her spine as her hackles bristled. And whether the blade was tearing through her flesh or not. She knew better than to snuff out her intuition. It was made out of silver. Specifically crafted to slay creatures of Darkness. Being the only weapon besides magic, that could penetrate a werewolf’s defensive Aura.
Meaning that this man, however young and inexperienced he looked, was a special breed of warrior. Trained to fulfil only one goal. To kill each and every mythical creature on Remnant. That was the duty of a Huntsman. The realization that he wouldn’t let her escape until one of them were dead, brought with it. A sickening dread welling up in her chest.
Slowly.
As not to provoke the man any further, Cinder dropped back down on all fours. Never breaking her gaze from his own as she set one paw in front of the other. Gradually drawing closer to the edge. The Huntsman’s iron grip on his weapon tightened with each step he took forward in turn. And once he was out of the shadow’s cover his cloudy blue gaze broke from molten gold. Searching the clearing from any other beast that could be lurking nearby. And when she noticed the second of wavering attention. Cinder wasted no time in leaping from the crippling height. The ground trembled upon impact and the Huntsman reacted instinctively. Drawing his shield in a flash of gold and white.
Standing his ground even with the beast now looming over him. The werewolf easily standing a metre taller than him despite its hunched posture. Her eyes were two blazing coals against the stark contrast of bristling midnight fur. Narrowed to slits as Cinder watched him intently. Like the prey he was. Observing every move he made. From his hesitant steps, the shield held protectively in front of him to his tentative glances to the side. He was hesitant. Either alone or on guard for any other of her kind. Both options being in the werewolf’s favour. Except one.
Saffron, as if sensing the impending danger, had quieted down. Now circling the Huntsman who was standing in the middle of the clearing. Cinder inched her way closer to Saffron. Running off with her tail between her legs was not a desired option, but it was the only she could think off to keep the toddler out of harm’s way. But even if she did flee, there was no telling whether she would be able to run him.
A human outrun her?
Cinder scoffed, but kept her guard up.
His armour, shining white, consisted of a breastplate, gauntlets, greaves and bracers under a black tunic. Not the completed armour of a Huntsman. It was clear that he had not planned this encounter. He was caught by surprise just as she was, although that didn’t make Cinder’s current situation any more desirable. Knowing well that if she wanted to kill him, now was the time to do it. She wouldn’t get a second chance to encounter him unprepared.
But when his gaze focused on something behind her, Cinder grew fearful that he had seen Saffron. Luckily that wasn’t the case. The man had only noticed how the werewolf seemed to be inching closer to a gap in the trees surrounding them. Looking for an escape the Huntsman thought. Only he wasn’t going to let it run off.
“You aren’t getting away from me!” Then with a deafening war cry, he lunged at the werewolf. Cinder catching his swing in her grasp. Claws digging into the leather of his bracers before throwing him aside. Tumbling backwards, the Huntsman barely had time to recover before the werewolf was on him once again. Slashing at his throat before he rolled to the side. Ducking under the blow and countering with a swing of his sword. Aimed at Cinder’s shoulder. The blade leaving an angry crimson gash and blood curdling roar in its wake.
Crouching down, the blade singed as it clipped midnight hairs from Cinder's neck. His speed was far greater than what she expected. And she cursed herself for her negligence. But it wasn’t a mistake she’d make again. Evading his attacks but still making sure that he’s keep at it, she patiently waited for the right moment to strike. For him to make a mistake.
Once he did it was with the slight over extension of his swing, exposing the gap between his breastplate and elbow guard. The man couldn't stop the sheer mass of the wolf from knocking him over and keeping him pinned down. Snapping with razor sharp fangs at his neck. Inches away from tearing him to shreds as the Huntsman strained to push the beast off with his shield. The enchanted metal burning away at the werewolf’s skin and claws. The scorching pain only fuelling Cinder’s bloodlust that dripped down in pools of saliva.
Even when the man knew that his raw strength was nothing compared to hers. He still continued to fight through gritted teeth. Ignoring the burning in his neck as he strained to keep the werewolf at bay. He shut his eyes tightly. As if to summon the last of his strength before giving one more push. Then attempting to roll out from under her. But the powerful set of jaws clamping down on his clavicle, kept the Huntsman in place.
His own Aura was not strong enough to project him. Bones gave way with an audible crunch, blood spluttered from out the wound to the sound of an agonised scream echoing through the forest. The Huntsman desperately thrashed to escape the torture. The pain overwhelming to the point of numbing his right arm while his left reached for the dagger he kept hidden in his boot. Before sheathing it between the werewolf's ribs. Viciously hacking through her skin.
Frantically she grabbed hold of his shoulder, and feeling muscles tear between her teeth as she flung him aside. Aura not doing much to soften the fall that left him gasping for air.
And as she staggered upright once again, Cinder grabbed hold of the burning dagger still lodged in her ribs. Ripping it out of the gushing wound with a guttural howl.
The horrifying sound of her mother's pain tore Saffron from her shocked stupor.
"Ma?"
Cinder's blood ran cold. The Huntsman stiffened and his eyes tore away from the werewolf to find the toddler hidden behind blades of grass. Sitting among what he could only guess to be the monster’s dinner. The moment he lied unmoving on the ground felt like an eternity before managing to find the willpower to stand up once more. The secured shield splattered with the blood seeping from the wounds of his shoulder. Dangling limply as his side. But despite the agony he was in. His cerulean gaze suddenly hardened with conviction as he pointed his sword threateningly at the wolf. “Leave the kid alone!” The pain leaving cracks in his wavering voice as he drew closer. Cinder ignored his warning. Snarling defiantly as she limped closer to the toddler. Her claws dug into the ground beneath her with each step she took. Ready to sink them into his flesh if he so much as-
'No!'
In a flare of Aura. Flash of white and gold. The Huntsman ran towards Saffron and whatever little restraint she possessed. Diminished as parental instincts kicked in.
But instead of her claws tearing through the armour, the metal burned at her paws, sparks erupting from her touch as the metal sawed off her claws. In a howl of pain Cinder staggered back just as the knight slammed into her with his shield. The contact sending an electric jolt through her wounded shoulder. Turning with the impact, and the hilt in his grasp he was intent on driving the blade through the werewolf’s skull. But the injuries had already taken its toll. Draining his speed and giving Cinder enough time to duck under the blow. Before delivering a blow to the side of his face. Claws leaving five gashes in its wake. Followed by another slash.
Forcing the Huntsman to lunge backward in retreat as she paced back and forth, staying in front of the toddler. Saffron's innocent mind was not yet able to understand what was unravelling before her. All she knew was that her mother was hurt. A thought that made the little one whimper in fear as she crept deeper into the shrubbery. And her daughter's distress sent Cinder's blood boiling with uncontrollable rage when the Huntsman refused to retreat. Chest heaving as he summoned the last of his remaining Aura. Voice trembling with the sword in his grasp. Words striking fear into the werewolf’s heart.
“Caliginis et...peccati...”
It couldn’t be!
“...peccati creaturae.”
A spell as old as time. Divine Magic that were used by Huntsmen, mages and priests to ward off monsters of all kind. Cinder recognized that hex instantly. Echoing memories of the past. Of loss and bloodshed in the back of her mind as she raced to reach her daughter before the blinding light could.
“Et hic a te in exsilium!”
Chasing after her in a flash of colourless devastation. Washing out the landscape behind as the light burned away at her Aura upon touch.
Shielding Saffron from harm as she held her close to her chest. Breaking out in tears and cries as her mother half sped half stumbled across the forest floor. And as much as Cinder hated to hear her cry, there was no time to stop. 'I know my darling, I know.' A coward's move to some but she wasn't about to fight a battle where all it took was one mistake that could mean her or Saffron's death. 'It's frightening, but I promise you, Ma will not let him hurt you.'
Protecting her daughter, that was her only priority at the moment. And she grew fearful upon seeing a flash of white light at the edge of her vision. But that fear quickly turned into terrifying determination, adrenaline that drowned out all the pain of her injuries. With a flare of Aura, Cinder continued to speed through the woodlands. Faster and faster. But speed meant nothing if she couldn't control her own thoughts. At that moment, as hard as it was, the werewolf knew that she couldn't let her emotions take a hold. And while the Huntsman might have the element of surprise, Cinder knew the terrain better. It was something that she could use to gain advantage.
Taking in her surroundings the werewolf managed to form at least a vague idea of where they were. She was nearing the river once again and Cinder picked up her pace, ignoring the pain in her side as she shifted all of her weight to her hind legs. Then with a powerful thrust, she leapt over the coursing river. Looking to throw the Huntsman off their trail as she headed for the mountains. So that if he did catch up to her, it wouldn't be after leading him directly to their house. But Cinder hoped that she could shake him off before it come to that.
And as the werewolf looked to the sky, ahead towards the mountain casting ominous shadows over them, she couldn't help but to pray to whatever gods that might be looking down upon her. Hoping that once…just once…her pray would be answered.
'Please…keep Ruby safe.’

…And it was upon one faithful day two Huntsmen, Jaune and Phyrra Arc, stumbled into the Emerald forest. Their map long ago carried away by Summer's wind. Almost as if the gods themselves were ushering them to the quaint little town. Out on an early morning foraging expedition, one Huntress found herself standing upon a rocky hill. Overlooking the forest that surrounded the brown spec that was Patch.
Swiftly she turned back to the small camp they had set up next to a glimmering rivulet. Excited at the possibility of finding a place to stay for the night. Stock up supplies and finding a map before they continued their journey through the kingdom. But instead she found the camp empty as her husband had not yet returned from his hunting expedition.
Jaune Arc was a Huntsman, known by all. Praised by Man and feared by the creatures of Darkness as his skill with a blade rivalled even the most experienced of warriors, but his charm and charisma second to none. The man was truly gifted by the gods. For not only was he a natural born leader but also had a sharp mind, having already set snares the night before. But instead of his kill being bountiful, Jaune Arc shockingly found there to be none. All of the snares had gone off but had caught none…or so it seemed. As he bent down to get a closer look he caught sight of blood staining a loop in the snare.
Someone or something had stolen his kill.
And it was then when a horrific screech rang through the forest. He didn't hesitate. Drawing his sword and shield he ran after the cry of help and then found himself in the midst of a small clearing. Then right before him…a truly horrifying sight.
A werewolf!
The beast stood at two times his height. It's claws like knives, dug through the flesh of the prey under it. Teeth gnarled and what wasn't drenched in blood, yellow and rotten. Slick saliva drip...dripping down
The Huntsman was appalled to find the prey to be a young woman. Raven hair matted with the crimson of her blood her body nothing more than a mangled heap of flesh, arms of which only the bone remained, still clinging onto the half eaten remains of her child.
And as it looked towards the Huntsman, baring bloodied fangs, Jaune could see the fire of Hell that burned in its eyes. The sight was enough to make any man tremble in fear. Scar them for life, no matter how hard of heart they were. But Jaune Arc wasn't just any man and within him awoke an inextinguishable rage as he lunged towards the beast. On a warpath to send the monster back into the Hell it crawled out of.
The beast was fast but the Huntsman was faster. Evading the swings of its claws before parrying with a slash to the werewolf's side, the silver of his blade, being the only metal that could slice through a werewolf's defensive Aura. Realising the danger of facing it's opponent the werewolf, slashed at the Huntsman once more before racing off in retreat.
Of course Sir Arc wasn't about to let the monster get away and gave chase, but the beast vanished into the forest without a trace. Surely the work of Dark Magic, the Huntsman thought with a grim look in his eye. Then, sheathing his sword once again, Jaune turn to head towards the village. Intent on telling his wife and fellow Huntress of what he had seen, and to warn the villagers of the grave danger they were in…
