i think a theme of the later seasons... 3-5 notably... is that there's some great tragedy, or event that has occurred, that greatly warps the status quo in ways that hurt the characters? like in s3 master fu had to give up guardianship, and marinette had to take on the duty way too early and it was far too overwhelming, too much for her to bear, which bled into the s4 finale, where she lost all the miraculous, and realized she had messed up in pushing her partner away, and in the season 5 finale there is this great sense of injustice.... it is all shrouded by the fact that everyone and society at large is being presented as PERFECT like wow so happy look at this villain! the world will remember him as a hero. but something is clearly so wrong about that and i genuinely think we as an audience are meant to feel that? that's why after all the happiness and celebration there is someone in the shadows working on something horrible, and there is literally this FORCE like shown as an electrical force that popped up at the end that makes you think

beyond evil is a good show because at some point in the story you get upset enough you start saying “i would die for lee dongsik” and soon enough the narrative is like “great news! han juwon would also die for lee dongsik!” and you get to watch what happens from there

1st year:-

James looks at Regulus and with a blinding smile places his hand forward for a handshake, "hello Reggie! I'm James"

Regulus only looks at James with thinly veiled disgust and says "don't call me that" and walks away.

2nd year:-

James, sweaty and tired from the quidditch practice sees Regulus enter the field and yells, "hey Reggie!"

Regulus glares and says "don't call me that" and walks away.

3rd year:-

On his way to class he bumps into Regulus. He pushes his glasses up and his eyes light up to see it's Regulus, "Reggie-"

Regulus harshly moves past James bumping his shoulder into his and walking away he says "don't call me that"

4th year:-

James finds Regulus behind an aclove reading and plops down. "Hey Reggie"

Regulus looks up and then back down at his book "go away potter"

James smiles and doesn't move.

5th year:-

Walking away in a hurry from Potions class James bumps into Regulus

"hey watch where you- Potter what's wrong"

James silently walks away with his head hung and palms sweaty.

6th year (September):-

"hey" Regulus says with a smile when James finds him yet again at the astronomy tower and sits down with him.

"Reggie" James says warmly and rests his head on top of his head, inhaling Reggie's sweet smell.

6th year (January):-

"hey Reggie" James says with a bright smile that vanishes as soon as he sees Regulus' trembling figure approach.

His reggie looks at him with dead eyes and promptly breaks down in front of him.

James holds him as Regulus' body racks with sobs.

Regulus looks up and shows his left hand. There it was. The dark foul magic that made his Reggie look like a ghost, a shell of himself.

"Reggie-" James starts with pleading eyes,

"no, please, don't call me that" Regulus says softly and then walks away.

James breaks down crying.

Sometime during 1979:-

Lily comes up to James and hugs him tightly.

James tenses up. "Wh- what's wrong Lily"

"Regulus"

One word. One name. And all of James world comes crashing down.

James doesn't speak for an entire month.

Jason knew that Leo was alive and even went to go look for him.

Imagine the worry as the months dragged on, not knowing why Leo wasn’t coming back. Imagine the waiting, the wondering. Was he okay? Was he hurt? Was that message faked, did Jason just imagine it?

Leo has had experience running away. If he wanted to disappear, he’d know how. What if… what if he didn’t want to be found?

And then the thoughts start to spiral. Was it something Jason did? Was Leo mad at him? Why didn’t Leo tell him his plan- could he not trust him? Was Leo stuck somewhere and needed help, or was he not coming back because he didn’t want to see Jason? Maybe he’d gone off with Calypso and forgotten all about them… all about him. Maybe Leo hates him now. Maybe he always hated Jason, and had to die to escape him. What does that say about Jason as a friend? As a leader? As a person? Why wasn’t his friend coming home?
