Irondad fic ideas #129
In an AU where everything is the same except Tony survived the snap in Endgame, MJ and Ned are both very aware that something is up with their memories. Huge, overlapping chunks of their lives are gone. And Spider-Man has something to do with it.
The only public figure Spider-Man has ever been closely associated with is Tony Stark. In need of answers, and not the types to just let something like this go, the kids hack and heist their way somehow onto Tony Stark's secret lake house property. It's weird that no alarms go off when they get close, but they manage it. They're about to knock, when Tony Stark, savior of the universe, opens the door.
He does not look great. Aside from the general post-battle healing and the fact that they have literally caught him at home, there's just something...off. It doesn't take long for them to realize that it's the same thing that's off with them, too.
Something important has been taken from all of their lives. Someone.
After Tony calms down from his initial freak-out, MJ and Ned (though mostly MJ) manage to convince him pretty quickly. The fact that FRIDAY never alarmed because they're in her system already is a huge point to their side.
And, the fact that he agrees with them. He survived the battle, everything should be fine. But something is so, very wrong. He's grieving someone he doesn't even know.
So, a new team is born. A trio united to find their shared missing person, the eraser mark in their memories none of them can bear to lose, all for different reasons.
They don't have much to go on, but Tony agrees with them on one thing: Spider-Man is involved somehow. And that's a good place to start.

Once again i did notes (for my fics) instead of working on the very important work i have to do but this time its ok because i meant to take off today and rest anyway.
and besides i did something i had always wanted to do since fricken 2019!
I DID A POWER SCALE FOR THE MP100 ESPERS!!!
As you can see im still missing the 7th division claw members and the awakening lab kids (and others) buts its ok because i did the most important ones!
(also those missing are all around the same level anyway)
As i watched mp100 I ve always classified the espers in 5 categories(excluding mobs own) depending of their abilities in my mind which i put on the side and also they way i understand their powers (aka telepaths/seers/spiritists behaving differently)
(or at least the way i see all of this)
i included notes explainning why i put them the way i did (good luck understanding them) and even how their powers grew during the story!
even thought ive had this cale in my mind for years i never realized how much ritsu grows in it! (even though i did him so dirty lmao)
i made this mostly as a handy reference for myself but if you want to use it feel free to do it (ñ
or to askme if you are curious about anything!
... Except why Teru and Shou got extra lines... I don't even know it myself I just know they make sense
(I think besides their first appearance im also marking their status as of the world dominatiom arc and at the end of the story (dotted lines are the leaves they reach when pushed to their limits... Not recommended))
dunno when ill get to finish this but when i do it ill update it here or maybe in another post and link it... who knows
Edit: although I named the zone "can copy others special techniques" it doesn't necessarily has to be copied.
That zone actually is "can use more than 1 specialized technique".
I put "copy" because I believe each techquine is innate to some psychic somewhere and while yeah you could come up with a technique on your own different than the one you already have I think it's easier to do it once you see someone else doing it. Aka easier to copy techniques than to create them yourselves.
Copying techniques isn't that easy either (remember the scale is exponential) which is why Teru being able to do it on the spot is so remarkable and says a lot about his level of power.

I really want to write a short post-canon story about Jin Ling having nightmares from all of the trauma he’s endured, so Lan Sizhui uses his spiritual energy and their connection to guard his dreams one night and ends up guiding Jin Ling through his sleep.
Meanwhile, everything they see in Jin Ling’s dreamscape is lush and vibrant and fantastical without even a hint of anxiety or darkness, and while Jin Ling assumes the entire dream is shaped by Lan Sizhui’s influence, Lan Sizhui is only blocking out Jin Ling’s intrusive thoughts—the rest is all of the light and wonder Jin Ling’s imagination conjures on its own, a glimpse into what his dreams would be like every night if he hadn’t suffered all that he did.

trouble's always gonna find you, baby (but so am i) - CHAPTER TWO
❤️🔥🛠️🦷🫀⛓️
a handshake, a handbook, and a handgun
read on ao3
snippet under the cut!
After he’d spent a few minutes kicking a rock around the floor he started to get impatient. As he was about to grab his phone and call, he heard a shuffling sound from the balcony.
His head snapped up with a shout of “Hello?”
His own voice echoed back to him so loud and clear he’d almost missed the whistle that came from the darkest corner upstairs.
Two tones. First down, second up.
Steve’s brows furrowed in confusion and frustration.
“I didn’t drive all the way to the city for your bullshit games, man!”
He’s met with more quiet.
He mutters complaints under his breath and turns to leave. He’s spent too much of his life waiting around, and he’s not doing it anymore.
He makes it about three steps before he hears a whistle again. This time directly behind him.
Two tones. First up, second down.
This was the moment that Steve learned that you don’t have to have had the barrel of a gun pressed to the back of your skull before to know what it feels like.
The thought clicks into his head in time with the click of the safety being turned off.
That whistle. He’s heard it before.
In the supermarket when he bought groceries last week.
The park when he was jogging before sunrise one morning.
From a passing car while he sat in traffic with his window down.
He’s heard it for weeks, he just didn’t realize it until now.

not to be cringe fandom on main but i desperately need the tma fandom to write some michael fics that actually engage w the character and the very interesting psychology hes got going on. and that dont just go for the much easier and less compelling "ooh everything looks distorted and weird and inhuman and colors that dont exist that make your eyes bleed" etc horror which i find incredibly trite and overdone not to mention i think the fandom has vastly overblown just how present that kind of horror actually is wrt michael, who imo utilizes the mundane far more than the eyestrain fantastical, and whose horror i find lies far more in a subtle distorting of your reality which is essentially gaslighting than in a super in your face and literal distortion of reality which doesnt have the same psychological impact. like i wish people gave the insomnia story a lot more focus when it comes to how michaels horror operates bc that is far far more effective than any number of like, limbs that bend the wrong way or melting faces or whatever. and bc of that i also wish when people try to write some sort of romance w michael they would continue to engage w the horror inherent to the character and indulge in a deeper inspection of what it means for a character to be defined by lies, to be fundamentally incapable of truth, and whether something that has nothing underneath the lies in some way embodies the lies such that they become truths - i find the idea of a being that, whether what its saying is factually true or not, is in essence dishonest in such a way that it can use the truth as a lie a lot more interesting than just "hes always straightforwardly lying".. and from there how you can possibly handle the idea of writing romance involving a being that cannot make itself trustworthy if it wanted to. but whatever
