BIG THREE TIME!! 🌙🔮✨
Hey there Non/Disney peeps! I know how much we all love to choose beloved characters that represent ourselves, whether its for personal or roleplay reasons, so I think it's time we expand this trend even further. I thought why not shake things up and combine this side of tumblr with my favorite form of self-insert...
Astrology!!
you know y'all want to. So what are your Big Three signs represented by animated characters?? I will start with mine:
☀️ SUN: Aries ♈️ 🐏
Tumblr media
I know it's a bit on the nose, but I can't think of anyone more like the Ram than Merida. Stubborn, impulsive, firey, playful, passionate... it's all her baby. Even has the red-ass wildwoman hair. For me, she is most like how I behave on the surface, especially when I'm having a good time. She loves fiercely, plays recklessly, and isn't afraid of a bit of danger in the pursuit of living fully. Everything about her is loud, proud, and in your face- and just like the sun, you can't tone her down even for a second. Especially when she's angry. But that anger is a good thing too- it reminds us to stand up for ourselves, for the injustices we see, and to fight wholeheartedly for what's right. She shows us that our emotions are our greatest allies, and if you befriend them, they will help guide you towards your truest path. All this boldness and authenticity allows her to be a truly fearless leader, and one who isn't afraid of breaking traditions to do so.
🌙 MOON: Virgo ♍️🏺
Tumblr media
Helga, for me, is the epitome of my Moon sign. She's no-nonsense, likes things to be efficient and effective, and is constantly scanning for problems to fix. She can also be intimidatingly scary and judgmental when she's pushed into a corner, and then all of those analytical skills can easily turn into weapons of mass destruction. But the more healed way it usually manifests for me is through her tough-love Mommy energy. She has a "right way" in mind, and knows what works and what doesn't. It's not that she's trying to be cruel, or too abrasive, but she sees when someone needs that push and won't hesitate to give them it. She's often the best person for advice if you don't mind being torn to shreds in the process lol.
↗️ RISING: Cancer ♋️ 🦀
Tumblr media
Now if you were scared at all by the hard-headedness of my first two signs- fear not! My rising sign is here to make me less of a dick lol. Might be a controversial choice, but Genie is definitely a cancer rising. "You've never had a friend like me" is sort of an inside joke of mine, and it's because I truly seek to be the most authentic and loyal friend you've ever had. I'm not just here for a good time- I'm here to change your life! Emotional intimacy is the hallmark of this goal, and I love to really "see" someone, to bear witness to all their ugly and do away with the surface barriers society imposes upon us. I know how crushingly lonely it can be to feel like no one really understands you, or even tries to, and so my bleeding heart takes up arms against this strongly. The way Genie bends over backwards and selflessly grants wishes- even ones he didn't have to- and genuinely wants the best for Aladdin despite the sacrifices it costs him, is the heart and soul of what this sign is for me. Not that this is always a good thing- I've definitely given away way too much without proper boundaries and gotten burned by it- but the way I feel for someone's situation, and want to do everything in my power to make it all better for them, is what Genie and I have in common. The shackles around him often feel how this type of empathy feels too- knowing you care so much and so deeply about someone, trying your best to "poof" their problems away, but having to free yourself from helping them or else it will drag you down as well. It's a big lesson this sign often has to learn the hard way, and boy have I learned it. But still, when it's used correctly and for the right person- nothing feels better than knowing you helped someone feel a lot less alone in this crazy world, and made a positive impact on their soul.
So those are mine! Please reblog with yours, and let me know why you chose your characters! I love pop-psychology through animation, and just in general lol, but either way, it was super fun to do. 🥰✨

screw it, i'm talking about my Dsaf Warriors au anyway.
alright, slight worldbuilding stuff:
clans aren't exactly permanent. like, even the more permanent-ish ones shift and change a lot of the time.
^ slightly related, clans having actual leaders (nine lives and all) is now incredibly rare.
most groups in the forest are either small bands of rogues/loners or traveling groups of families and friends.
you can generally tell who is a Clan Descendant by their names and how they talk.
you've basically got Normal Starclan (doesn't really have actual souls and is more ruled by a council who makes all the decisions; will gladly revive young-ish cats if asked, on the condition that the cat in question will have amnesia, and will basically be turned into blank slates (this is the closest i could get to Phone Guys)), Fredbear's Side of Starclan aka The Flipside (where kits and elders typically end up, although he works to try and drag more souls there so that they can actually rest), and the Dark Forest/Void (a Lot of souls end up here, typically because the cats here died young/were murdered and want vengeance/want to avenge another family member/have general unfinished business)
souls also work funky. some souls have stars in their pelts while others appear shadowy, with their wounds visible. kits always have tear tracks running down their face, regardless of how their pelts show up. if a kit has a shadowy pelt...that's generally a sign that something...really fucking bad happened to them when they died. like a murder. that they're pissed about.
The Real Fredbear is a ghostly Labrador Retriever.
the main clan that's important to lore stuff right now is Bearclan (Fredbear's)
so, here's everything up to Henry being dragged into the void. enjoy (warnings for animal violence and animal death):
so, we start off with a cat named Rosesight (Henry; name is based off the fact that he's pink. also, it's a reference to the saying "rose-tinted lenses." i'll let you figure the rest out from there). he's basically the leader of Bearclan, right? started out as a kittypet (regular house cat, for those unaware), eventually worked his way up here.
one day, some cats in his clan go "hey man, uh, we've been smelling a fox around the territory, uh, it's been moving around a lot?? like it knows we'll be checking around its den sites?? could you go check it out??" and he goes "ugh fine you're all fucking idiots guess i'll deal with this too since you're all incompetent 🙄"
so he decides to stake out around one of the den sites, believing the fox to either be hiding out in this one or might try to move into this one the next morning. when the next morning comes, he hears shuffling around in the den, and only a few moments later, he comes face-to-face with a black fox with a collar around its neck.
(why is Dave a fox, you ask? well, we know, canonically speaking, that Dave's not a human, and that he's a cryptid. so, i decided to make Warriors!Dave a different animal instead of a cat. i feel like he gives off fox vibes)
Rosesight is about to attack this poor guy, given that he seems clearly surprised and wasn't expecting any visitors, until the fox starts...talking to him? wait, how the fuck-?
the fox, with what few words in cat he can speak, introduces that his name is William, and that he's been following his clan for several months, and that he wants to join. it seems that he was smart enough to know that walking up to a bunch of cats in the middle of the woods, who typically have to worry about foxes as a legitimate danger, was probably not going to end well for him.
so...what's our beloved fox friend doing here? why does he have a collar for? well, long story short: imagine Todd from The Fox and the Hound, but if he were kicked out into the forest after only about a month. that's sort of the situation we're dealing with here.
Rosesight goes "eh, why not? i could use extra help with my Plans™" William just goes "ooo free home! :D free family!! :D"
what are Rosesight's Plans™, you might ask? basically to Hack Death (he wants to kill enough kits that basically neither side of the afterlife wants him, and thus will just do whatever they can to keep him alive. which. That's Definitely Not Fredbear's Plan! He Wants That Fucker Dead So He'll Stop Causing Problems!)
Rosesight refuses to give William a proper warrior name, something that upsets him. he does, however, tear his collar off. Clan Cats Don't Wear Collars, After All (he definitely doesn't tear the collar off in a painless way, either).
eventually, Rosesight comes up with a plan to kill William by luring him over to a fox trap and letting it kill him. why? he doesn't think that William's exactly...helpful. besides, he's worried that if he tries to have William as a partner in his Child Murder Plans, that others will find out William was involved and immediately blame him for even allowing him in the clan to begin with. a good chunk of Rosesight's plan involves others trusting him, so this can't happen.
long story short: William died, repossessed himself before Starclan could intervene with literally anything, and then just kinda went about his life like nothing happened. Rosesight was intrigued by this, and decided to keep William around. maybe he could get William involved with his kit murders. he just needs to make sure he's prepared first, and won't screw anything up.
it's at this point we now get introduced to three (technically four) new cats: Redpatch (Peter), Tangerinetooth (Jack), and Heartkit (Dee). also technically Caroline, Redpatch's kittypet mate that he kinda sorta went to live with. the trio were a family of Clan Descendants, and they just kinda chill.
Heartkit and Tangerinetooth live in an abandoned, run down barn in a field on the edge of Bearclan's territory.
Heartkit is between 3.5-4 moons (months). she's rather young, but she's been weaned. for a kit her age, she is quite capable of caring for herself. okay...maybe she still needs assistance, given she is Basically A Baby, but you get the idea.
Rosesight, who Really doesn't like Tangerinetooth and doesn't want him in or around the territory, Wakes Up One Day And Chooses Violence (< is about to kill a man's sister to hopefully drive him out)
William Doesn't Want Him To Choose Violence (< grew close to Tangy and his sister, and really doesn't want to help kill Heartkit)
Heartkit Gets Kidnapped And Murdered By The River. Rosesight steals the ribbon tied around her neck and leaves her body there.
Tangy finds her body after waking up and noticing she was missing, buries her, and gets understandably pissed about the fact that she was murdered.
he decides to hunt Rosesight down to kill him, but unfortunately Rosesight is several steps ahead, and lures out a stray dog to maul him to death.
Fredbear revives him, but his soul, going by the name Blackjack, roams the Earth, following Rosesight and William around to hopefully drag one or both of them into the Void.
Heartkit, now a shadowy spirit, realizes that she can now guide other dead kits to The Flipside. she also begins to follow William and Rosesight, hoping to either rescue kits from being murdered, or to guide their souls to the afterlife. sometimes she succeeds in saving them, usually luring them off until Rosesight and William leave under the guise of going off to play a game or to try and get help.
Rosesight also just kinda. repeatedly kills William. mostly by strikes to the head or around it. this starts to fuck William up mentally.
Rosesight runs into two cats on his Murder Adventures: Burntpelt (Steven; i can't think of names) and Redpatch. both of them witness him kill kits, try to stop him and get killed. Starclan brings 'em back, as blank slates, and they stay with the respective clans they were found by. Burntpelt gets his name changed to Clifffall (was found, barely conscious, by a cliff), and Redpatch is changed to Dogstrike (was also mauled by a stray dog. like his brother)
Rosesight tells William about his dead son, Violetkit. William, finally fed up of not having an actual warrior's name (and also, y'know, Very Fucked Up Mentally), decides to change his name to Violetsight, as a way of trying to make it incredibly clear that he wants to a) be taken seriously, and b) become Rosesight's son. Rosesight goes "What The Fuck" and just leaves him, going off on his own.
bad idea! because now Blackjack is dragging him into The Void!
so now we have Tangerinetooth, a Very Fucked Up Cat trying to save and release the souls of the dead kits, Violetsight, a Very Fucked Up Fox who's still committing kit murder, Heartkit trying to Also save and free the souls, Blackjack making sure Tangy stays on track, and Clifffall and Dogstrike, who have no memory of anything and are basically just doing what they've been told to do (run their respective Very Dysfunctional Clans).
and, of course, Rosesight deciding to cause Problems from the Void.
feel free to ask questions! this is just a very basic run down of the first half of the plot.

Moe Violence: or How I Struck the Jidaigeki Goldmine
Tumblr media
I lost a close friend recently. A really close one and it was the kind of sudden bolt from the blue that’s really just fate waking up and deciding to kick you in the teeth. He liked old Western movies and was enough of a film buff to know how much back-and-forth there was with samurai cinema. So we had a lot of fun talking about movies. Made me want to finally get through a stack of films I’ve dug up on archive.org. Liking what I like, I think this binge has helped get a lot of clarity on where we started with looking at Lady Snowblood & Red Swallow Oyuki. (Oh...by the way. I plum forgot Snowblood’s auntie/confidant type figure was named Okiku. Always has a basket of yellow mums outside her door)
Started with checking out a trio of films the absolutely wonderful Junko Miyazono did after Red Swallow. Series is called Tales of the Poison Seductress; Hannya Ohyaku, Quick-Draw Okatsu, & Okatsu the Fugitive. They’re all standalone, caution though they’re very violent. SA is a factor too but from what I’ve seen most of the scenes may drag but try to keep it not too graphic. I say that as someone pretty turned off but “losing her virtue” is a threat hanging around frequently in these and there’s a torture element. This is 60s/70s Japanese Grindhouse cinema, the type of thing that inspired gory directors like Quentin Tarantino. It ain’t for everyone and that’s why I wanna gush about it here. What I’m getting more and more though is that pinning our beloved Okiku to one jidaigeki reference is a fool’s errand. My dears, she’s an ode to an entire subgenre!
Tumblr media
Let’s not split hairs over the specific category of Toei films and slightly different ones with a female lead. The term I see used is “Pinky Violence.” Pinky coming from having female leads and being very sexually charged affairs. Toei needed to do something to compete with more Western movies making it over, so they opted for shock value and the way they went for it ended up giving us a pretty feminist genre. Not to say these were all jidaigeki which means “period drama.” There were a lot of modern ones I have yet to dive into heavily. Before Lady Snowblood Meiko Kaji gave us a really fun looking 6-part series called Stray Cat Rock for a great example. Machine guns, motorcycles, and LSD. They look awesome and check this aesthetic! I’m in love.
Tumblr media
That knowledge does make me think of Nami and the early design with a missing arm. Jojo’s Stone Ocean as well while we’re at it. There’s also a fair number of Yakuza movies that fall sorta in between like the Red Peony Gambler (Hibotan Bakuto) series. It’s all a little nebulous if you want to get into the weeds. There’s a few different styles from a few different studios but make no mistake. These were popular movies in Japan. Big studios like Toei were churning them out as B movies to maintain relevance. Compete with television and Hollywood’s resources.
Tumblr media
Know what isn’t nebulous? Yeah...the hallmarks of the genre are big things we see out of Okiku’s role in Wano. The otherwise perfect lady with some little hook that means she isn’t “marriage material.” The whole arc of showing she can kick as much ass as any man but always reminding you of the lady playing the part. A big, big shared element is this core theme of taking down corrupt officials who abuse their power. Urashima the Yokozuna is exactly the type of guy who’d end up a villain in these. Sticking up for humble villagers, looking out for other women and children. Being the collateral damage of “great” men’s ambitions is what we tend to see over traditional fare like say, reinstalling a dynasty. I love the running theme of these being so much more local in scope. And Kiku gets that modern twist of her being trans for the “excuse.” I adore that in contrast to anime trends of needing to make an excuse for the deviance. My dead sister was the favorite, I went silly due to trauma, etc. This trope and trend of subversion is a big reason I love the mistaken bride idea.
The more of these I see, and I’m friggin hooked these days, the more I see little bits and bobs that feel like they may have shaped our beautiful flower of Wano. And others! She’s a little more than a simple homage though. We do see the violence part pretty well for One Piece. Kiku gets the shit beaten out of her on Onigashima and it is gory by this manga’s standards. That’s where the modernization seems to be though. We tone down the sexuality for cute. Which isn’t that off base, the archetype in historical settings typically does have that innocent and sweet side. One Piece just isn’t the type of series you’re going to actually see things like making good on Tama’s intro of fleeing from being sold to the red light district. Even if it didn’t make it in the proper story, Kiku & Izo’s origin does flirt with that kind of content more than the series usually would. Hell, we do get Holdem torturing Tama and the series just fades to black on a similar spot for Tsuru.
Tumblr media
Wano made this genre feel familiar already. Snowblood loves it some anachronic storytelling, Red Peony sets up and ends films with a non-diagetic theatrical framing. Ohyaku uses a big simpleton to bust out of a prison camp. Speaking of, can I please get someone whipping a hair stick like a dart? That’s my favorite little signature from the Red Peony. Oryu in those is a fun protagonist played by Junko Fuji. That’s one of the more accessible series, less graphic than One Piece so far, and she plays with gender as a theme more. Proclaims to be a man but we always see deep down she’s still a lady that wishes she could have married the honest merchant’s son. Oh...and almost all of these ladies are total daddy’s girls like Kiku acts towards Kin. That whole series gets its own because there’s eight of them and they’re soooo good.
Eiichiro Oda is a great writer and worldbuilder...but he’s actually pretty derivative. One Piece doesn’t break ground as much as refine the dominant genre when it started, even Rurouni Kenshin was more subversive for shonen. The more I see of these though, the more I see Oda just being this big kid who thought these old movies were so cool and couldn’t wait to rip into his samurai gang. Of course one of em if gonna be a little Junko Miyazono/Meiko Kaji being a fierce strong-willed lady of war. These movies are classic cool!

KIT CONNOR ONE SHOT.
no warnings just pure fluff and little bit of enemies to lovers trope.
Summary: Kit is the popular school boy and you don't like him very much until well you both find yourselves in a bathroom together.
There he stands, leaning against the locker, his hands in his pockets and laughing on the top of his lungs. He acts as if he owns this school just because he's popular and has nice ginger hair along with the lightest brown eyes ever. Kit Connor. I've known him for two years now, it annoys me to be around him even though he may be very pretty. Everything with him is a competition. He's the second in his class, he doesn't believe that since im the first. I think my presence annoys him as much as his annoys me.
"Hey think fast!"
Cole, one of his friends says as he throws a football at me. I can think fast because I was mostly really just observing them. I move aside and the ball hits my locker. I pick it up before he has a chance to.
"Give it back."
He tries to order me, as if he can. I take the most sharp thing I could find in my bag (you're not allowed to keep knives that would've been much easier) and puncture their ball. I throw it back at him.
"There much better." I smile and start walking to class.
"Oi what's your problem?" He calls out to me. I ignore obviously, trashbags like him and his gang don't deserve much attention anyways.
"Y/n are you going to the party tonight?" Dee asks me. She's my bestfriend and she's also a huge party animal.
"What party?"
"The one at Cole's." I look at her.
"I don't think he'll let me in. I pissed him off before coming to class." She chuckles as if she already knew this would happen.
"I'll sneak you in. Pick up at 8 okay?" She goes back to her work.
"Fine."
I really don't feel like going. The thought of kit and his friends just irritates me. Couldn't they have been nicer. I mean im sure I'd be friends with him if he wasn't the "Im the king and you're all my subjects" type. He used to be nice maybe, atleast from what I've heard. I dress in a skirt, tights covering my legs. A tucked in nirvana t-shirt and my black boots. I liked to be seen as edgy and scary outside of school, in uniform I'm just another prey waiting to be eaten. I leave my hair half open and put the smallest amount of make-up on my face.
"Y/n! Dee is here." Mom shouts on the top of her lungs as if I couldn't hear her.
"Coming!" I rush down the stairs and stand next to Dee, while my mother instructs us on the conditions.
"Yes mom got it. Be back soon. Bye." I take Dee by her hand dragging her out of the house.
She wore the sluttiest ourfit ever, classic Dee. She's never ever worn a shirt to a party, it's always got to be a dress or nothing at all.
"Do I look okay?" She asks as we stand outside of Cole's house. I squint my eyes at her, she's trying to impress someone or she'd never have asked.
"Who is it?" She rolls her eyes and gives me a big smile.
"Just a guy." She shrugs and starts moving.
"Yeah no shit sherlock. What guy?"
She just shrugs and doesn't answer me. The house is extremely loud with music and everyone is mostly drunk and tripping over one another or just casually making out or fighting. Which is the plus point of any party a good ol fight.
"What are you doing here?" Ah cole, ofcourse it's him. Why wouldn't it be?"
"It was an open for all. Why are you here? I squint my eyes at him.
"It's my party and you're not invited."
"Too bad love, Im already here." I pat his chest and move away from him, disappearing as fast as I can. I go to the bathroom and shut the door behind me,exhaling as loud as possible.
"Um." Someone clears their throat, which makes me jump a little. I turn around to see none other than our beloved Kit connor.
"Jeez. Did you have to be that silent?" I put my hand on my chest while he just smiles. He does have an adorable smile (we're getting carried away).
"Sorry, didn't think anyone else would be joining me in here." He says as he leans back. I scoff at him.
"Wasn't planning on it." I sit near the door. As much as he irritates me, I really do need to be away from Cole.
"Why are you here?" He asks.
"Why are You here?" I retort asking him the same question he asked me.
"I asked first." He smokes his e-cigarette.
"I asked second." I look at him, paying attention this time. He wore a black t-shirt, his sunglasses hanging from the middle. He has a small necklace, which is hidden by his shirt.
"I still asked first." He says which makes me snap back and not stare at him.
"I still don't care." This makes him laugh. Its not a mean laugh. Its a genuine laugh.
"What's so funny?" I poke him with my foot.
"You haven't changed a single bit." He looks at me right in the eyes. His gaze almost makes me blush.
"Why would I? I'm one of a kind." I smile.
"That's true." He blurts out the words and I could tell he did. "I mean you're annoying and weird. One of a kind."
"Sure whatever you say. You've changed though or maybe you're just the same."
He stands and then slumps down next to me."What do you mean?"
"What's with all the "I'm popular so Im the king" bullshit." I fold my arms.
"Is it bullshit?" He asks.
"Yes. I don't really like you like that."
"Ah so you liked me before." He smirks, cocky bastard.
"No. You were just a bit better, now you're insufferable." Should I be saying this to him? Does it really matter if I am?
"You remember that field trip they took us on?" He tilts his head towards me.
"We got lost, it took them four hours to find us." I smile at the thought, it was the only time Kit had been nice to me or had been his true self.
"We bought a bunch of junk because we were hungry, kitkats to be precise since you loves those and those necklaces." I turn my head to him.
"Yeah, that was possibly the best day of my life." I reach in my pocket and take out the necklace we bought. "I kept it." I hold it out in my hand.
"So did I." He pulls it out from underneath his shirt. "That day I decided I really wanted to be your friend."
I smile a bit sadly and put the necklace back in my pocket "I would've liked it if you actually did." I look at him again, his gaze lingers on mine and then moves to my lips as if he's studying them. What is going on? A little closer and we'd be kissing. Do i want that?
"Well I got curfew so i guess I'll see ya." I stand up.
"Yep." He replies and I'm out the door trying to escape him now. What am I doing? Where is Dee? Ah there she is getting cozy with the lad she liked. I guess I'll have to walk home. I walk out in the garden before Cole can catch me or any of his friends. I can hear distant shouting of my name and I choose to ignore it until it gets closer. I turn around.
"Y/n!" Kit, its Kit running towards me for some reason. He stops and catches his breath. Then steps super close to me, there's no space between us at all.
"What are you-" his lips meet mine before i could even finish my sentence. It takes me by surprise but I give in. I don't really know why but I do. His lips feel soft against mine and his hands snake around my waist pulling me close to him. His breathing is soft , I'm not so sure about mine. I'm probably hyperventilating. He let's go slowly, keeping his eyes on mine. Kit just kissed me. The person I probably hate and the person who probably hates me just kissed me.
"Well I- .. wasn't expecting that today." I say and he puts his hands in his pockets, smiling at me with that dorky smile.
"I was." He says "Didn't you have curfew?"
I shake my head in approval "Yeah.. see ya later kit kat."
I turn away from him, kitkat is what I would say to him to annoy him after that field trip. I guess it stuck to him.
"Don't call me that." He calls out.
"No promises." I say and keep on walking home.
Ah so this is it. I hope you guys like it. You can make requests for more one shots and fics<3

Fic: A Night At The Theater
You guys remember Falura, the slave girl who the Nerevarine has to find as a bride for an Ashlander chieftain? I love her and have decided she and my Nerevarine, Sylvie, are besties. So I have written about them.
(Tagging @bravelittlescrib for being foolish enough to encourage me)
--
Life in the Ashlander camp was far from luxurious, but Falura had grown to love it. She loved the warm, cozy interior of her yurt; loved the children tossing their guar-hide balls back and forth on sunny days; even loved her new husband the chieftain, who was rather pompous but at heart a very kind man. It wasn't the easiest of lives, but it was far better than slavery.
The Zainab camp was remote, without much excitement save for wild animals and storms, and Falura was prepared to spend the rest of her life settling village disputes, raising children, and never being surprised.
Until Sylvie came back.
It had been months since Falura had seen the red-haired wood-elf- and back then, Sylvie hadn't yet been the legendary Nerevarine, the hero of the province. She'd been a scruffy adventurer desperate to prove herself as the fulfillment of all those ancient prophecies.
Still, she had delivered Falura out of slavery and into her peaceful new life, and in doing so had established herself in Falura's mind as the greatest hero of the era. Since then, Sylvie had slain the evil Dagoth Ur and become beloved by all... and yet here she was, back in Kaushan and Falura's yurt, behaving as though nothing had changed at all.
"Falura, Kaushan, darlings," Sylvie said, plopping down on one of the bedrolls. "It's been too long, hasn't it? You have no idea how much I've missed you. I can see things are going well here- I always knew you two would be a wonderful couple."
"Always an honor, Nerevarine," Kaushad said, with gruff fondness. "Can't say I thought we would see you again."
"After all the help you gave me? Why, they couldn't keep me away. And Falura and I grew so close on our journey that I simply had to check on her."
"So... what have you been up to since your great adventure?" Falura asked hesitantly. Great adventure was putting it mildly, but Falura didn't quite feel up to saying since you killed the devil.
"Oh, I've been here and there," Sylvie replied. "Traveling, exploring. Been spending quite a bit of time in Mournhold lately."
"And what's in Mournhold?"
"Shopping, mainly. And doing a bit of work for the royals," Sylvie said vaguely. "But mainly the shopping. The clothiers there are fabulous."
She dragged out the a in the last word: f-aaa-bulous. Falura was never quite sure if Sylvie's posh accent was real or affected. She'd asked once, to which the Nerevarine had responded: "Darling, you think I know? I have no memory of my education."
(Sometimes, Falura wondered if Sylvie's amnesia was somewhat affected as well. Being a polite lady, she had never asked.)
(Nor did she ask about Sylvie's new scars, none of which could have come from shopping.)
"But never mind me," said Sylvie, after a brief pause. "In fact, I came here to see if you'd like to go to the theater."
"The theater," Falura repeated slowly.
"In Vivec, specifically. Apparently Crassius Curio- he's a Hlaalu lord, you won't know him- has written a play about little old me," said Sylvie, as though all of this was perfectly normal. "He's an old friend, sort of, and I felt I simply had to support him. The play's called Saint Sylvie Moon-and-Star, which apparently some people find sacrilegious, but knowing Crassius it'll simply be ridiculous."
"It does sound like fun," said Falura hesitantly. "But it's quite a long journey, and I hate to leave my husband..." She cast a questioning glance at Kaushad, who looked highly amused.
"Oh, go on, old girl," he said. "No harm in your having an adventure now and again. Go show those Vivec snobs we've got style in the Ashlands as well."
Sylvie clapped her hands together delightedly. "It's settled, then," she declared. "This is going to be such fun!"
--
Saint Sylvie Moon-and-Star was to be performed in Vivec's newly-constructed theater, established in the Hlaalu canton by Lord Curio himself. It was by far the grandest building Falura had ever been in, and as she and Sylvie settled into their plush red seats, she was torn between awe and homesickness.
The curtain rose on a mock prison cell, where the heroine languished on a bed waiting to be freed. The actress playing Sylvie was rather shorter and plumper than the Nerevarine herself, but she'd managed the iconic hairstyle: short, red, dramatically flipped up at the ends.
"That's got to be a wig," Sylvie murmured. "Still, it's a nice one, so I'm not offended."
All seemed well for the first hour of the play, as Player-Sylvie fought ancestral ghosts and charmed ancient wizards. The mood changed abruptly, though, when Player-Sylvie encountered Adamantius Hlasko, a licentious nobleman whose vote was necessary for Sylvie to become Hortator.
"And how, my sweet blossom, do I know you're worthy of being our Hortator?" Adamantius asked Player-Sylvie, who seemed smitten with him. "Such a delicate creature as yourself may not be up for such a hard task."
"Why, sir, you underestimate me," said Player-Sylvie. "Just on the way here I slew ten ghosts and six bone-lords!"
"You know," said Adamantius, "some call me the bone-lord."
Player-Sylvie giggled and blushed. "And why do they call you that, sir?"
"Ah, my little duckling," Adamantius replied with a leer, running a finger down player-Sylvie's cheek. "If you wish to become Hortator, I would be more than happy to show you."
Falura let out a shocked laugh, which she cut short at the sound of an irritated huff next to her.
"I am going to kill that man," Sylvie growled, her accent suddenly sounding much less posh.
"I assume that's not what really happened?" Falura asked cautiously.
"Of course not! That son of a blighted rat, doesn't he know I have a reputation to uphold? It was bad enough that Crassius insisted I kiss him in exchange for his vote. If people thought I seduced my way into becoming Hortator..." Noticing annoyed looks coming from nearby spectators, Sylvie let out a quiet noise of frustration and shook her head. "Never fear, Falura, I will be avenged."
--
The play came to a close an hour later, the curtain closing to thunderous applause. Sylvie seemed to have perked up by the play's ending, which depicted her slaying the villainous Dagoth Ur after cheerfully saying "So long, darling! No one's going to miss that hideous mask."
"I don't think I did say that in real life- I was much too frightened," she'd confessed in a whisper. "But I would have if I'd had my wits about me."
As the curtain fell, Falura wondered if Sylvie had forgotten her vow of revenge. She received her answer when a man, barrel-chested and brown-bearded, raced up to the two women in the theater's lobby.
"Crassius," Sylvie said with a tight smile. "Well, well. How very nice."
"Sylvie, dumpling!" Crassius exclaimed. "How delightful that you could come to our little play. I did try to stay as true to your marvelous story as possible..." He was cut off with a loud thwack, as Sylvie's Wraithguard-gloved fist met his cheek.
"Splendid writing as always, Crassius dear," Sylvie said with a bright smile, while Crassius was still groaning in pain. "Care to get dinner, Falura?"

Interview with Till about his life: he fought with his father, killed his beloved dog, swam on a wild river and worked on suffering. How Till Lindemann's mind works
"I will finish you off" and why you fought for the German army.
Werner Lindemann wanders around the room, interrupting the silence with strange questions, writing something down. His motive is to get to know his son and make him a friend. But it's complicated. Generational conflict.
"My island of tranquility is shaken every day. The day before yesterday, a guy pulled on my socks because his were torn. Yesterday he didn't put out a single lamp in the house. Now, with voluptuous delight, he spits cherry pits into the cat's fur. Is this grown boy really an adult?"
The apprenticeship in Rostock, where you have to do window production after graduation, is the limit of boredom. Till Lindemann moved to his father in the countryside so that he could forget about the hustle and bustle of the city and not fall under the article for anti-social attitudes. He thought of a new life, in which there was no pointless work, and arranged an attic in his father's house.
In the mornings over coffee, he scolded life that everything went according to schedule. And listened very loudly to music - electronics and metal. My father didn't understand and grumbled: “I matured late. Naturally, I wanted to listen to the music I liked, but I could not get my hands on these records. For example, my father did not understand when I bought the Alice Cooper record for a month's salary.
Werner Lindemann was a children's writer who went through the war.
At the height of his career he disappeared for weeks on literary tours - his fame spread to teachers and librarians across the country. His father pecked at Lindemann for refusing to work and promised to turn him in:
"My willful child. What doesn't fit his standards is rejected as nonsense or crap." So he took a job as a carpenter, where he made shovel cuttings and cart wheels. The head foreman constantly drank vodka during the day, didn't want to be annoyed with questions and addressed the long-haired Lindemann with the nickname: "Mozart!" This suited him.
Werner Lindemann talked about war, hard existence and limitations. For example, about a grenade splinter that remained in his body. Lindemann did not believe in all these stories - but categorically did not accept service, war and murder:
“After that I objected: “I would hide, I would not go to war. Why did you even let yourself be dragged into this? You could have hidden."
And he said: “It didn't work out. They searched for it and it took away."
Then I said: “I would rather go under arrest. Never in my life, I would go to the front line to shoot people. It's against my nature. It would be better if I went to jail."
Much of the time father and son were simply silent, even while watching television.
"He regularly made me feel guilty, to say the least, he placed himself on a pedestal towards me: I shouldn't complain. At your age, I ran barefoot through the stubble, and in my stomach - a potato in a uniform."
The only acceptance is Mike Oldfield's music: "One day my father came to grumble again. At that moment I was listening to Mike Oldfield, and he sat down and said: "That sounds interesting."
For me it was like a quantum leap: my father sits in my room, listens to my music and thinks it was good. Probably because of melancholy. He was sitting in a rocking chair that I made myself - at the time I was working as a carpenter on a farm. I, too, always sat in an armchair, immersed myself in music and smoked hand-rolled cigarettes."
The conflict was intensified by a fight. Lindemann bought a Trabant car, installed speakers in it and tested the sound - loud as usual. “Then my father came and I had to turn off this fucking music. It was kind of loud for him. He was then fiddling around his cases of flowers, and then suddenly the situation escalated. I think he slapped me while I was still in the car.
He leaned toward me and hit me with the back of his hand. I made some bullshit remarks like, "Leave me alone," something like that. That was a provocation to him, and he said: "If you do that again, I'll hit you for real." And I said, "Then you'll get it back. Because you're crazy. Don't you dare to hit me anymore."
And then he hit me with his palm again. He wasn't controlling himself.
He was exalting himself. Instantly he introduced himself as a boxer - he had boxed in the Hitler Youth - and I just... I thought I didn't hit him, I just pushed him away. And then he stood in front of me again, "Come on, I'll finish you, you haven't got a chance!" Somehow. After that, he went up to the attic and threw all my stuff out the window.
It happened over the weekend, my sister was there, a lot of screaming, serious drama. Then I packed my things, put them in the car, went to a friend's house and never went into his house again. At first I lived with this friend, and a week later I bought myself a house in the village."
His father's book is about his son, which the son will only open up after the death of the father.
Lindemann is a late child. He was born when his father was 36. The gap in their relationship was felt in everyday life and perception of the world. Werner Lindemann woke up early in the morning, worked with the circular saw under the windows and did not understand when his son slept until noon after a working week.
Lindemann's parents then lived separately, but kept in touch. Mom worked as a journalist and discussed her texts with his father. "She still lived in Rostock and always came to see him only on weekends. Mostly on Sundays she came back quite early, because she couldn't stand the stress of being with him, either."
In 1988, the book “Mike Oldfield im Schaukelstuhl Notizen eines Vaters" In this book, Lindemann Senior describes the relationship with his son (whom he calls Timm in the book), who settled with him at the age of 18. The book was written in the 80s and laid on the table until the German Democratic Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany were reunited.
Werner Lindemann wanted his son to take up writing too. But this only amused him, although as a child he wrote poetry. At the age of 13, little Till Lindemann and his father were returning home along the bumpy road to Mecklenburg. They talked about career self-determination:
"You should already have thoughts about what you want to become, boy." My answer: "I don't know yet, maybe a fisherman on the high seas."
But immediately, no matter what I said, objections arose: “But then you have to get a certificate of maturity. But then you will be away all the time. But then you won't be able to start a relationship."
There was always a “but”.
At some point it got on my nerves, as usual. And I said: "Worst case scenario, I'll just become a writer.
I still remember how alienated his face became. "And what do you think then, what do I do! It's a very hard job! In fact, it's not even a job, it's a passion. And it's a job that's supposed to be enjoyable."
I said, "I don't know anybody who works with pleasure."
"Yeah, that's the problem. You have to look for a job that gives you pleasure." Then I say again, "But some people never get to choose..." This gigantic discussion happened because I didn't take his profession seriously. At the same time, he was completely lost, funny!"
Lindemann thoughtfully read his father's book, in which he comprehends their relationship, after his death. Faked for hidden anger and indecision. For example, in a situation where their dog Kurt was bitten by a fox. The father was frightened because of rabies: “At the same time, we did not even know whether he was bitten by a fox or not. The father immediately called the huntsman. But I said: no one will enter this courtyard and shoot the dog. I'll do it myself if I really need it. At some point I really had to kill the dog."
Lindemann is not a monster. The animals he fiddled with are an important attribute of childhood. He had an aquarium and hamsters, brought mice and rats home, and was friends with dogs. “Like many children of new buildings, he felt the need for someone alive, in need of love,” said Werner Lindemann. Sometimes the appearance of an animal in the house was surprising:
“This guy will never say what he's up to. He appears on the doorstep at the same time as me. He gets out from his vehicle, throws his coat open and puts a young black shepherd in my hands. "Your Christmas present!"
Till's father is speechless. My son stands before me like the sun's little brother. Touchingly concerned, he directs me into the house, working out a plan for the animal husbandry, accommodation and diet of our new pet housemate.
With confusion, a question flies from my lips, "Wheredid you get the dog from?" "Timm" is gibbering, "Imagine, the mason in the barnyard wanted to hang him, simply wanted to strangle him with a rope, said he was a worthless eater..."
Werner Lindemann died of stomach cancer in 1993, when his son was 30. They didn't finally reconcile, but Till visited him in his last days and was there for him with his mother: "They couldn't be without each other, even though they lived apart. Unreal, but my mother never had another man afterwards. To this day she can't let go of him."
- Not going to the Olympics in Moscow and ending up in the German ghetto
Lindemann had the knowledge and the potential to be a swimmer. And a shyness that pounded harder three days before the competition than concerts in front of crowds of thousands. "I know how difficult it is to develop willpower and stamina and instill those attributes. In the GDR this was instilled in us by coaches and so-called functionaries."
Lindemann came to swimming at the age of eight and devoted his entire youth to the sport. He would get up for training at five in the morning and pass out in the evening. His grandmother watched him from the stands. At a competition in Leipzig she shouted at the coach, who told Lindemann off for a poor result. The grandmother took the coach by the ear and said: "How do you talk to my grandson?"
Sports tightened up his upbringing and developed self-discipline. “Drilling - probably the boy has already received this experience as a swimmer,” Lindemann's father wrote. - Once he had to take second place in a competition, but by no means first place. Of course, he got carried away, forgot about it, became the first, thanks to which he received a shouting for indiscipline. And whenever he lost in the future, his coach would torture him at practice for a long time and yelled at him: "Even if you win, you're not a winner yet!"
Lindemann swam the 1.5 km freestyle and could have gone to the 1980 Olympics in Moscow. Everything was ruined when he left the hotel without permission during a competition in Florence: "I didn't want to run, but just wanted to look at the city. Cars, bikes, girls. I was caught and kicked out of the team, but then I didn't give the required results either."
Lindemann competed at the European Junior Championships, but did not go any higher. After the story in Florence, his career in sport slipped away. Perhaps an abdominal injury influenced his departure. Lindemann is gone, but he doesn't yearn: "I was relatively young. There were no good [memories] left. I was glad it was over."
"The hardest part was getting back to normal. I fell into a real hole. My home was no longer a sports school, but a ghetto in Rostock. Now I stood out through drinking and fighting. I used to be surrounded only by beautiful ladies who were interested in swimming. Now I had fierce women standing in front of me asking, "How come you don't drink?" When I was shy about approaching a girl, it was interpreted as: "Are you gay?"
Lindemann now works with a coach and swims a few kilometers before his tours to get in shape: "When I exercise, I feel a certain lightness - not only physically, but also mentally. I just feel better. The main problem is staying in shape. That's where self-discipline comes into play. Teeth grinding is important."
- Three weeks in the wild and loneliness as a creative tool
Emotionally, concerts = sports:
"How do I go on tour? Hungry. And happy. It is good to compare concerts with sport. You don't want to do both at first. You don't want to go on stage. You don't want to go to the pool. You don't want to go to the boxing ring. It all happens with reluctance. It has to be accepted somehow, that's life: spring, summer, fall, winter.
When it's done, winter's gone, the blooming begins, greenery appears, it gets bright, and you start to get a taste for it. When it's over, you feel happy. Then the body produces a sea of chemistry, a lot of happiness hormones. I think the body rewards itself."
The stage, like sports, is an embarrassment, but a necessity. Lindemann wore dark glasses in order to collect fewer views from the audience. Therefore, a couple of steps before the water, he looked at the pool with a shiver. You need to cope with yourself in order to open up to new emotions.
Lindemann's gut requires solitude and moderate solitude. This is the point:
“Loneliness is always good for a creative push - you drink a glass of wine and you feel even shitier. Art is not complete without suffering; art exists to compensate for suffering."
With his friend Joey Kelly, Lindemann spent three weeks on the Yukon River. They paddled through the wilderness in a kayak for eight to 10 hours each and lived in a tent. Lindemann didn't take a tape recorder with him, so he transferred the lyrics wandering in his head on paper.
They were catching inspiration and atmosphere:
"There were times when we wouldn't say a word for hours, but then: look there, look there! It was breathtakingly beautiful. These relatively fast-changing panoramas and skies, layers of clouds, the colors.
Except for a few bears and wolves, it's hard to see anyone else out there, it's exhilarating. Along the way we saw two hunters setting traps. No one else.
I grew up in the countryside, and I have a very strong connection to nature. I love fishing, hunting. It's an archaic experience that I like to revisit over and over again. When I'm in the city for too long, I start to miss it."
To recreate situations in the Yukon, Lindemann and Kelly trained for nine months on the Rhine river in Germany because of its liveliness.
"We went down the Rhine to where the transport ships create huge bow waves. If we hadn't had a coach with us, we probably would have been sunk by the side wave impact already during our first attempt," Lindemann said.
Together with Kelly, he had four sessions with two coaches and swam from Cologne to Koblenz [more than 100 kilometers by car]. Lindemann trained separately each week on the lakes in Mecklenburg. It's both physically challenging and savage identical to being natural.
In 2015, Till started his solo project Lindemann. On the album Skills In Pills, the song Yukon was released, in which the lyrics appeared first, and then the music.
- "My lyrics come from pain rather than desire."
The country boy is big and not much of a talker. That's how the Rammstein members saw him at the start, when they were hanging out at home. "He looked cool, like a big peasant talking one sentence an hour," keyboard player Christian "Flake" Lorenz recalled. - He always had food and vodka. He'd just steal a couple of ducks somewhere and cook them on a tray. And then, frozen like in Sleeping Beauty, there were people lying in corners and on trunks in his house."
Lindemann loves and appreciates home gatherings. This came from my father, who always had guests. “In my opinion, this is the little bit that I inherited from him. Throwing parties and gathering people. Throwing parties and getting people together. He just enjoyed being a good host. The house was always full of guests from Leipzig, from Rostock, foreign guests, even from Kazakhstan.
It was always exciting for him. He stood at the stove, cooked, bought an abundance of wine, and there was always a fire in the garden. At some point he stopped drinking, then he left the party at 21:00 and the whole company continued to feast. And in the morning he got up at four, cleaned and tidied up."
Till Lindemann is about self-digging, overcoming and childish shyness, which is covered by a pumped-up figure of a swimmer. This is how Lindemann decrypts himself:
• “And I really am like a big child - ill-mannered, but harmless. People think that I am always strong, explosive. This is not true. I am sensitive and easily hurt, but in love I am romantic and passionate."
• “At the very beginning, you sit somewhere in a dark room, open a bottle of wine and figure out how to make the lyrics popular with the music. At first you only have a vague idea of what it could be.
And when, three years after recording, mixing, and more mixing, developing the artwork, all this nonsense, then you stand on stage, and what you came up with then really works, when you manage to get 20 thousand people to raise their hands, then you experience incredible sensations."
• “Art is a kind of therapy.
When I feel that something is arising inside me, domineering and is most often dark, I need to give it a way out, otherwise it will simply crush me. So destruction and self-destruction are the two pillars on which my creativity is based.
But everyone chooses this for himself.
• “My lyrics arise from feelings and dreams, but still more from pain than by desire. I often have nightmares, and I wake up at night sweating, as I see terrible bloody scenes in my dreams. My lyrics are a kind of valve for the lava of feelings in my soul.
We are all struggling to hide behind good manners and outward decency, but in fact we are governed by instincts and feelings: hunger, thirst, horror, hatred, the desire for power and sex. Of course, there is also additional energy in us - this is love. Without it, all human feelings would fade away."
- "When you're constantly living someone else's life, it's very hard to get back into your own skin. I like that in principle, but sometimes you start to get confused - are you out of a role or not yet. You're already Till, or you're still a homicidal maniac."
- "I hate the noise. I hate the chatter. I expose myself to it, which is pure masochism. And then I have to protect myself from it. Noise makes you crazy. You die in it."
• “I think there is no God. And if he is and actually allows all the misfortunes on this earth, then he must punish me along with other sufferings. I will not pray to such a god."
This is how the members of Rammstein see Till - flexible and with a split personality:
Guitarist Paul Landers: "Till is so good that when you let him know that his lyrics should go in a different direction, the very next day he brings a new version of the song."
Guitarist Richard Kruspe: “He's a hell of an extreme man. He dives very deeply into situations where I cannot follow him. Everything he does is very extreme; I don't know anyone who does it. "
Drummer Christoph Schneider: "I would not want to be in Till's shoes: his soul is tormented by doubts and contradictions, he is equally a moralist and a monster."

Red Night
Starring: Ryomen Sukuna, Curse!Reader, OCs
Pairing: Sukuna x Curse!Reader
Warning: Death of minor characters.
A/N: It's kind of a historical AU? I mean Sukuna has his original form, and it takes place in the past. But it's also historically innaccurate😅. I apologise in advance.
In retrospect, (y/n) knew it was fruitless. The gap between curses and humans was far too large. It was already set in the humans’ heart, the fear which accompanies ‘their’ apparition. By ‘their’ they mean curses of course. People were so scared of them that the mere utterance of their name, in their superstitious mind, meant immediate death.
But (y/n) wanted to believe in the hope that one day, curses and humans could understand each other. She wanted them to be able to make a compromise so that both can live in peace. This shouldn’t be impossible. Curses are born from humans. Some humans even become curses. But that hope was squashed down as the townspeople grew to fear her.
Sukuna watches as the town which once worshipped the ground (y/n) walked on, were now chanting her demise. They brought forth their pitchforks, their torches all in the hopes of killing the abomination. The abomination they once worshipped as if she was a goddess. Well, she was one in his eyes. A foolish, naive goddess, but still his.
The woman looked around her, eyes gleaming in the orange glow of the fire. She so desperately wanted to turn back time. She wonders where it all went wrong. Did all her good deeds disappear as quickly as the day turned into the night? Her mind takes her back to a few months back. When she was arguing with her king.
“You are being foolish, (y/n). I once was a human exterminating curses. I know how the human mind works. They will hate you whatever you do.”
“But Sukuna, don’t you want a world where we can both live freely? Without the omnipresent fear that humans will always want to kill the likes of us?”
“I live for killing humans. I live for the carnage. But if you’re so stubborn, go on to that town down our mountain. Prove me wrong if you so desire to get along with these pests.” Sukuna rolled his four eyes, four arms crossed on his chest. He could care less about living with humans. He thought that the life they were leading up that mountain was enough. No one could disturb them there. But no, (y/n) had to have this stupid idea in her pretty little mind. Sometimes the King wonders how she became a curse with so much kindness and compassion in her heart. He could hardly see her curse anyone. She was too kind for her own good. That’s a part of her personality Sukuna cannot get rid of.
And so she headed down to the town at the foot of the mountain they were residing at. She remembers their warm smile as they welcome her into their ranks. She looked like them after all. Mere humans wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between human curses and themselves. They merely thought that her tattoos were among one of the oddities which she had. She stayed in the town for six months. Six blissful months where all their woes disappeared thanks to (y/n). She healed the young and elderly to her best abilities despite using curse energy. She helped the crops grow even during floods. The town is prospering more than ever since her arrival. And so, they made a shrine for her. They showered her with praises, thanking the gods for sending their messenger to their town.
Sukuna watched from the temple as his lover went and made friends around town. He watched her giving her warm smiles to children as they tugged on her kimono for attention. He watched her become known as the merciful goddess of that town. The king of curses didn’t know what to think. Her ideas were foolish. Humans and curses can never coexist. That’s the truth. But he let her run around. He only watched from a distance because he knew that he was the one who would be right. It won’t be long before she realizes that humans were monsters in sheep’s clothing. It won’t be long until she comes back to his side.
(Y/n) felt happy. She was glad that she could help the people. A positive feeling accompanied all the good deeds. The people were happy with her presence. ‘It won’t be long until they see that curses have feelings too!’ (Y/n) though ecstatically. What she didn’t know was that she gained the attention of not only the people living in the town but also those who ruled that town. And cruel was the man who watched the beautiful woman in the pink flower-patterned kimono as she walked around town carelessly, with an easy smile. He shall have her. She will be his newest concubine. He was the Lord of that land. Everything belonged to him. And that included that peculiar woman. Messenger of the gods or not, that had little importance in his eyes, for he was the Lord who ruled over everything. It didn’t matter if she was married or engaged, for he lived only for his own pleasure.
It was a cloudless day. (Y/n) was going to visit Sukuna again as was her habit. In her hand was a wooden basket an elderly woman crafted for her after learning she was going up to the shrine on the mountain. “Be careful,” said the elderly woman with a concerned tone, “I hear that there are wild animals up that mountain. It’s dangerous. No one goes there anymore because of them.” (Y/n) smile reassuringly at her. She knew for a fact that there were no wild animals. Sukuna was merely protective of the place he decided to claim as his own. The elderly woman was the first one who welcomed her to that town. She introduced to the young curse everything she had to know about the town’s custom and their cultures. To the curse, she was like a grandmother. The elderly woman had no family and was a widow. She lived alone in her house of stone on the outskirt of town. So, (y/n) took it upon herself to visit her as often as she could. She would often bake (y/n) some treats to repay her help around her house. The curse would often bring them up to Sukuna so that they could eat it together. The King was disgusted at first. But after much nagging, he relented and begrudgingly said that they tasted “alright”. That meant to (y/n) that they tasted good. That he liked them. So she would always bring him the treats the old widow prepared for her. Watching him enjoy something so simple makes her so happy. It’s like a reminder for her. A reminder that Sukuna used to be a human. Watching him eat is so grounding because she could pretend that they were normal. That they wouldn’t get shun should they decide to live amongst humans. She wanted to go to the market with her king. She wanted to do domestic chores that her parents used to do a long time ago. She wanted to go to festivals with her king even if he would complain the whole time. It was these little wishes which kept her trying to make peace with humans. She wanted Sukuna to enjoy something human. Something which would remind him that he too used to be human.
The road to the mountain was always quiet. It was not very used since people rarely travelled this way. But today, there was a very fancy carriage with some guards obscuring her usual route. (Y/n) came to a halt in front of the carriage, head cocked to the side, confused. The guards open the door and help a tall man down. He was a tall human with black hair and green eyes. He might have been handsome in humans’ standard. But he paled in comparison to her beloved grouchy King. He gave her what he considered his ‘best smile’. It was a grin really. It was so different from Sukuna’s. The grin of this human makes her uncomfortable. The grin of Sukuna made her feel butterflies in her stomach. It made her nervous in a good way.
“Rejoice woman! For, the great ruler of the town has decided to make you his concubine! This is not a favour which is given to many. You are special in my eyes so get in the carriage and let’s head back to the palace immediately! I want to get acquainted with you, lovely flower.” The woman cringes. Sukuna who was rude and crass was finally not that bad. ‘There are people who are worse than him when trying to flirt, after all. How shocking.’ But nevertheless (Y/n) politely bows her head in apology. It would be bad if she upset the Lord since she wanted to get along with his people after all. “ I apologize, My Lord. There is already someone in my life at the moment. I’m certain, however, that you will find someone more fitting for the position you are offering.” With that, the young woman leaves the flabbergasted man behind and continues her road to the mountain. The road which led to the king of her heart.
The man watches her leave in anger. No one was ever brave enough to simply brush him aside like that. How dare she humiliate him in front of his guards like that. The lord was turning red. With a cold cutting voice, he orders his guards to spread a rumour. ‘The pretty little woman will soon run begging for mercy at his feet.’ He thought, chuckling maniacally.
After she spent her night with her King who was attention-starved, not that he would admit it. He would rather fight a thousand shamans than admit that he missed his annoying woman. (Y/n) decides to go back to town to see if there was anything she could help with. Instead of the warm welcome, she always gets, all she receives is cold shoulders and glares. The people cowered away from her. ‘Could they know about my real identity?’ Worried, she decides to go to the one person who would tell her everything. The old woman’s shop was closed today. (Y/n) had to head to the house on the outskirts of town. Just going there took the young woman the whole morning. She knocked on the woman’ door. In the corner of her eyes, she sees a curtain move. The door opens quickly, a frail old hand grabs the curse and drags her inside before quickly shutting the door.
“Oh my poor child. You should not have come back! You have to run away before nightfall!” (Y/n) looks at her confused. “But why?” The woman shakes her head gravely. “The lord of this town is awful. He takes whoever he wants. If they don’t go along with him, they are killed by the townspeople.” The curse recoils. Frozen in her shock, the elderly woman goes on. “He told everyone that you were a witch. You fornicate with the devil which is why you can heal, do so many miracles for us. Everyone is scared right now. They will-”
A loud bang resonates. Shouts of anger can be heard from outside. The moon shines in red glows as torches illuminate the night. The old woman drags the curse to the side door and pushes her outside. “Go! I will distract them!” “Grandma, no! You have to come with me! I can protect us both!” The old woman shakes her head and smiles at the curse gently. “You might not be human, but your heart is kinder than most. This house means everything to me. I want to die between these walls.’’ The woman pushes (y/n) one more time. The curse watches as they condemn the human who has been so kind to her from the very first day. The curse watches as they burn this house to the ground. The memories she made with the woman burning and disappearing in the fire. Oh, how cruel humans can be.
Alerted by the smell of fire, Sukuna exits his temple and watches as the town below chases after his lover. Their torches and angry shouts can be heard in the silence of the night. Sukuna watches as his lover stands in the middle of the crowd. The lord watches in satisfaction from his home as they chase down the woman who humiliated him. Ready to intervene, Sukuna runs down the path leading to the little town.
(Y/n) shocked at the turn of the events, looks around her. These people that she helped in the past. These people who would always smile at her when she is passing through town. They were now cursing at her, wishing her dead. They killed one of their own because of a sin that she didn’t commit. Because of the old widow’s kind heart. Her eyes are glassy. She can feel a tear falling down. It hurts. It suffocates her. She can barely breathe as they keep on chanting her demise. The people she loved turned against her. Sukuna was right. Even without knowing what she truly was, humans would always chase away those who didn’t appear humans.
And so, during that full moon, which would later be known as the Red Night, she burned that town to the ground without Sukuna’s help. She became their worst nightmare. Their worst fear came to reality as they angered the goddess. The lord who instigated all of this tragedy watches in fear as (y/n) burned his town to the ground. He would become the only living witness. He would later tell his children about the story of the goddess of his old town. The scar which marred with once flawless skin that he received from her would be the only proof of her very existence. The proof that you should not anger a curse.
Sukuna held her as they went back to their temple. For once, he spared her of his snide comment. He doesn’t complain as she wets his kimono with her tears. His four arms encircle her form protectively. She might have been foolish but she was his. And the gods forbid, Sukuna took care of everything which was his. Even if they annoy him by forcing him to eat sweets, even if she would hug him without the fear that he would snap and kill her in an instant. Sukuna might not understand the concept of love, as a human, he loved no one but himself. But as a curse, he knew that he loved her as he let her sit comfortably in his lap. He knew he loved her when he let her make a home in his temple. She knew Sukuna loved her when he held her tight and never let go.

Danganronpa Characters Seeing you in a Cute Outfit (no despair AU)
Tumblr media
~~this is NOT a request. For these headcanons I picked Makoto, Aoi, Nagito, Sonia, Kiibo and Tenko. (I'm on phone, so I'm sorry for the bad layout)I hope you enjoy! ~mod fuyuhiko~~
MAKOTO NAEGI:
-As soon as he looked at you, he looked away. This worried you.
-When you wandered into his vision the second time, you noticed his beet red face. And then it all clicked.
-You began teasing him, poking his cheek and messing up his hair. Makoto puffed his cheeks out in response, albeit still flustered.
-"(y/n), stopppp...y-you look really pretty/handsome...t-today.."
-Makoto stumbled over his words so much you could hardly tell what he was saying. Soon, you deciphered it.
-"Aww, thanks Makoto! You're so sweet." You tackle him down onto the bed he was sitting on. Although you were on top of him, he was still looking everywhere but at you.
-"Makotoooooo, look at meee," you pouted, and he instantly looked over to you, face redder than ever. You chuckled.
-You lept up from the bed, grabbing Makoto's hand and dragging him out the door. "Let's go!"
AOI ASAHINA:
-Aoi was waiting for you in the kitchen, as per usual. You stumbled into the kitchen, wearing a new outfit you bought recently that you fell in love with.
-Aoi heard you open the door, and turned over to you, a donut in her mouth and a paper plate in her hand. Her jaw went slack. The donut fell onto the plate.
-As a red pigment coated her cheeks, she yelled, "(y/n)!!!! You're so beautiful/handsome!!" As she placed her plate onto the counter, she stormed over to you encasing you in a bear hug.
-You could hardly breathe by how tight she was hugging you, and you poked her back to tell her that. With Aoi being an athlete worthy of the title of 'Ultra', she easily managed to lift you up and cuddle you.
-You got flustered "Aoi....We're gonna be l-late.." Aoi remembered your date and let go, placing you on the ground delicately before trying to wrap up a donut and hide in her bag before you could see.
-You quickly caught her and reprimanded her, "Aoi, you're not gonna eat all the food you order at the restaurant if you eat all the donuts!" "The restaurant...oh! Right! Our date!"
-She ran to you so fast you could hardly see her and she grabbed your hand and sprinted to the door so fast you had just about enough time to grab your wallet.
-Even at the end of your date, she still begged for donuts (she made you take the route that has a Dunkin'Donuts along the way.)
NAGITO KOMAEDA
-Nagito always worshipped your fashion choices. He always thought you were so attractive and gorgeous, and he took any chance he could get to tell you that.
-You had put on an outfit that you were sure Nagito had never seen before. It was a Saturday, and in a self indulging mood, you decided to feel good about yourself. Nagito was sitting on the (favourite dark colour) couch in your living room.
-You walked over and sat next to him, a cup of (favourite drink) in one hand, a cup of Nagito's preferred drink in the other. "Hi, Nagito. How've you been, babe?"
-Nagito didn't look at you as you sat down, only turning to grab his drink. He reached out for it, but he froze as soon as he locked his eyes onto you. You silently cheered in celebration, happy that your new look really was quite jaw dropping.
-"(y/n), you're...you're perfect! Trash like myself doesn't deserve you... why'd you decide to dress up today?"
-You explained why you felt so confident today and he placed his cup down to embrace you tightly, one hand moving from your spine to your side, the other playing with your hair. (If you are uncomfortable with that, imagine him doing something else that calms you down)
-You immediately returned the embrace and soaked in the sweet whispers and compliments Nagito gave you, until he broke the hug and stood up. Having already being dressed, he grabbed his phone and your hand and led you outside.
-You two bought bagels at the end of your sudden date.
SONIA NEVERMIND:
-Sonia was attracted to you from day one. You were the only one she actually spoke to for the first few months of Hope's Peak Academy. You were a huge fan of Sparking Justice, just like her, so you two instantly clicked.
-Sonia asked you out after some time. You were over the moon! She got you treats and little trinkets all the time, which you told her was a bit too much. She didn't listen, and she showered you with expensive gifts 24/7.
-On a certain day, you and Sonia had a date you had never been on before; an anime binge date. Sonia invited you over to her... house? mansion? palace? as per usual, and as soon as she opened the door she froze like a deer in the headlights.
-You were dressed in a simple but comfortable outfit, perfect for cuddling and staying home. Sonia threw her arms around you, squealing adorably over you.
-"(y/n)! You're so pretty/handsome! I am absolutely in love with your style! Come in, come in!" She ushered you in after she was done ogling you.
-You two binge watched plenty of original anime, and before you knew it the sun was setting and you were falling asleep, head on Sonia's lap.
-She snapped countless pictures of you on her pretty dark purple phone, all at different angles. You would soon wake up to her adorable giggling, peeking over to see your sleeping face.
-"S-Sonia!" "I'm sorry, my beloved! I could not hold back!" As much as you wanted the pictures deleted, you couldn't help but melt at her cute giggles and smile.
KIIBO:
-Well, you guessed it; he overheated as soon as he laid his eyes on your form. How could he not? You were so handsome/beautiful to him, his servos starting freezing up.
-You got scared as he began to scream in a low monotone voice, falling in the process. You grabbed the boy before he could hit the ground, his eyes locked on yours the whole time.
-You took him to Miu, who lived in the apartment down the hall. Even she commented on your appearance! "Hell yeah, (y/n)! You look sexy as hell!"
-You set out as soon as Kiibo woke up, and he almost overheated when he saw you once again. Miu smacked him out of it.
-Kiibo, trying not to overheat, lead you to an adorable picnic he had set up. You got so impressed; you hugged him tight and he could feel his servos jitter as he hugged you back.
-As clichè as it was, you loved it to bits. Kiibo tried his best. Kiibo, who struggled to talk most the time, complimented you as much as he possibly could. When it got too cold to stay out for longer, you both went home.
-You passed out on his shoulder as soon as you got through the door. Kiibo almost overheated for the nth time that night, but he dragged you over to your bed as he tried ignoring it.
-He was probably going to overheat seeing you in the same outfit tomorrow, but oh well.
TENKO CHABASHIRA:
-Tenko was always going around insulting the men around her; you could hear her from miles away. She was quite easy to track down.
-That said, you were determined to show her your new outfit that you based around her own. It took a while, but you managed to find her in the hallway, pointing and aggressively raising her voice at poor Shuichi.
-You walked over to the bow haired girl, sliding your arms over her neck and embracing her in a hug. She got scared, but she noticed your head on her shoulder. "Ah! (Y/n), you're here! I'm happy to se-"
-It was then that she noticed your outfit. It didn't take long for her face to turn a rich red. She covered her face with her arms and pointed to you.
-"(y/n), w-what are you w-w-wearing!?" She stuttered and stumbled, her voice breaking quite often. "I was planning outfits, and I wanted to match with you, babe!"
-You knew exactly how to get her into a flustered and jumbled mess. Although she was quite tough, you were the only one who was able to break through that and always managed to make her a shy girl around you.
-"H-hey! We should go out somewhere...like, like right now!" "Tenko, it's almost time for class-" "Doesn't matter! We're leaving, now!" She sped through the exit with you in tow.
-While you two enjoyed your very unexpected date, Shuichi stood there shortly after you left, more or less confused on what he had witnessed.

A better world for us
I feel like a lot of people forget that the twins are teens so could you do a pietro x reader where during the events of AoU reader discovers she’s pregnant (teen pregnancy) and Pietro is the dad. Like I can imagine him being all worried about reader and Clint catching him talking to her belly while they’re waiting for help in the sky. Let’s say he lives in this version instead of dying. Please?--Anonymous
Request: Anonymous
Author's Note: I'm so sorry this took as long as it did! I genuinely have no excuse, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless worked super hard on it! Might be a tad different than what was requested! Thank you! Be warned there are mentions of abuse in the beginning!
(Y/N) never expected to be dragged into the world of Superheroes who fight for the peace of the Earth. That all changed when she was forcefully taken out of her home by an elite organization known as Hydra. They had experimented on her until she had the power to shapeshift into any animal whether they were extinct or not.
Through Hydra, she met a set of twins from a very young age. They grew close to each other, but it seemed that even (Y/N) couldn’t help herself from falling for the cocky runner. Wanda always made fun of her for even thinking that her brother was good looking let alone good enough to be an actual partner in a relationship.
It wasn’t until one night, Hydra had taken a beating to the poor teenager after she refused to perform in front of top-level clientele. They had broken her nose and busted up some of her ribs as punishment for her insubordination. She had been sobbing, trying to fix herself up enough that it wouldn’t worry Wanda or Pietro, but the door to her room opened.
“(Y/N), are you here?” The thick, deep accent spoke softly as she jolted from her place on the floor.
The jerk made her pull too hard on the stitching to pop out at a few places. She cursed softly as she squinted, trying to use the light of the moon in order to accomplish her goal. She looked up in time to see him staring down at her in shock.
“It’s not as bad as you think.” She assured quietly before suddenly her trembling hands slowly enveloped in his.
“Let me take care of it.” He whispered as she blinked back the tears of anger, hurt, and frustration. She nods gently before handing him the needle that she had been using as he looks around for the first aid. “No pain medicine?” He asked as she shook her head.
Pietro cursed softly before looking at her, running a hand over her sweat-soaked skin which made her offer a tight smile in return. His eyes were burning with anger, but the moment he looked down to her wounds that shifted to hurt. He slowly got to work as she grunted and dug her teeth into her lower lips scraping against the cut there in order to stop the sounds from escaping.
“I’m almost done.” He assured quietly, causing her to nod quickly. “I’m sorry.” He spoke finally after he cleaned up the dried blood from her body with a wet cloth.
“For… For what?” She slurred quietly.
“For not being there… For… For not helping sooner.” He whispered, looking conflicted as she swallowed softly.
It took everything in her not to reach forward and wipe the crease in his brow when she finally realized something. She wasn’t just crushing on him anymore… She was full-blown in love with the man before her as she opened her mouth. Yet, no words would escape her throat as it tightened from fear, or maybe it was because of how much pain she was in.
Pietro looked up to her, noticing the look in her eyes as his own irises dilated before he set down the bloody cloth. His hands slowly took her face into the palms, watching as she shivered from the warmth that flooded into her skin at the touch.
Everything felt tense for a moment, neither spoke in fear of breaking the bubble that had covered the two. It was Pietro who made the first move as he gently leaned forward, giving her time to back away if she wanted to. However, she didn’t move, she didn’t move because she didn’t want to and soon she felt his lips slowly brush over hers as she parted her mouth in shock.
Suddenly, they were kissing. It wasn’t the best kiss, mostly because neither one had any experience to help them guide the kiss. Nonetheless, the kiss in their minds was more than perfect enough.
The cut in her lip stung, but she couldn’t pull herself away from him before breathing became a necessity for them. They slowly pressed their foreheads together as warm breaths fanned across the others face while they just stared at each other.
“Pietro.” (Y/N) whispered pulling him into another kiss and soon clothing hit the floor as their night was lost in passion.
A few months had passed and not a lot had happened, it is true that the two began to date, but they were teenagers after all. They fumbled around in the shadows with heavy pettings that normally got them scolded by Wanda who was going to kill both of them if she saw her brother’s ass one more time.
Then the Ultron happened.
Wanda blindly trusted Ultron as did Pietro, but (Y/N) on the other hand, felt like something had been wrong. She didn’t understand what it was about him that made it difficult to like him, until Wanda unlocked his mind and saw what his true motive was.
Now, they were playing on the side that they believed to be the enemy. Pietro didn’t like it. He was a little angry to be honest, (Y/N) noticed it and pulled him to the side.
“Hey, talk to me.” She whispered softly, glancing to the Avengers who were making a plan to stop Ultron with Vision on their side.
“I don’t like this. I hate that Wanda just trusts this Vision so easily. First Strucker, then Ultron, are they next? Will we ever get to live a normal life?” He demanded as her eyes softened.
“We will, but we need to help stop Ultron first. He’s a bigger threat to this world then the Avengers are. Right now, they are our only ticket to having any sort of freedom. Listen, how about when this is all over, we go somewhere. Just you, me, and Wanda. Like we always planned to do. No more fighting, no more of this destruction.” She promised, cupping his face.
Pietro’s eyes fluttered as he leaned his head into her touch. His hand slowly slid up and took it into his own before placing a kiss onto her palm. He knew that what she was saying was the truth, but that didn’t mean he had to like it. His eyes fluttered open as their piercing gaze locked onto hers.
“Alright, let us get this over with. Then we are moving into the mountains or a state that is quiet.” He mumbles as a smile blooms across her mouth.
“That is my beloved.” She leans up and presses her lips against his own.
He immediately jerked her body flushed against his own before deepening the kiss. They slowly pull away, foreheads resting together. Pietro swallowed with a nod before pulling away as he looked towards the others who were still discussing plans to stop Ultron.
“We can do this, my love.” (Y/N) whispered to him as he nodded.
“Promise me, if things get bad… if they seem dire--I want you to get out of there. Do not worry about me. Just get out of there. You are more important to me.” He whispered, taking her hand as she shook her head.
“I’m sorry, I cannot promise you that. If things become dire, then we die together.” She spoke sternly as Pietro’s face twisted in slight anger before he huffs.
“Why can’t you just listen to me just this once?” He asked.
“Because, if I started doing that then we would both be screwed.” She smirks softly. “You and Wanda are my family, my only family. I cannot be without you.” She explains. “See it from my perspective. Would you do as I asked if I were to say the same thing?” She tilted her head.
“Alright, touché.” He mumbles.
“Okay, everyone, let’s rest. Tomorrow we are stopping Ultron.” Tony explains, clapping his hands together to get everyone’s attention.
Wanda stuck to Vision’s side like glue, so Pietro pulled (Y/N) off with him towards one of the spare bedrooms that Tony offered out to them. He laid her out onto the bed as (Y/N) smiled up to him, in the lighting of the moon, she looked absolutely gorgeous. He fell asleep to the soft sounds of her breathing against his neck.
A loud explosion knocked Pietro out of his daydreaming stupor.
He glanced up to see (Y/N) holding a huge piece of debris from him and Hawkeye. Her body had hardened like steel as she forced the piece of cement out of the way. She panted harshly, looking more exhausted for wear considering how long they have been battling.
Pietro started towards her, just in time as one of Ultron’s clones blasted the area she had just been. He noticed how her skin slowly drained itself of any color, causing him to curse softly before rushing her over to safety.
“(Y/N), what’s going on? Are you hurt?” He asked, looking over her body for some kind of bleeding wound. “Is it because of your powers? You haven’t used them in a while.” He explains.
“No, I--” She jerked forward before vomiting up whatever they had eaten last night, causing Pietro to move more out of shock than anything.
“Did you get hit in the stomach?” He asked worriedly before looking up to see Wanda rushing over to them.
“What’s going on?” She frowns, glancing at (Y/N) who was gagging heavily.
“She’s hurt, but I don’t know what happened.” Pietro explains when Wanda leans down and places her hands onto (Y/N)’s forehead. She looked inside to see what happened before she felt another energy pulling at her powers, causing her to gasp. “What! What’s wrong?” Pietro asked as Wanda’s wide eyes locked onto (Y/N)’s stomach.
“You--She is… She is carrying a child. I can feel it.” She whispered softly as Pietro and (Y/N) both looked up to Wanda in disbelief.
“Wha--What?” (Y/N) stuttered out, feeling like she was going to vomit now for a different reason.
“You are pregnant. When I looked into your head, I felt something pulling at me. I could feel the heat bloom from your stomach. It is a baby.” She explains, placing a hand onto her stomach as (Y/N) looked to Pietro.
“What--What do we do?” (Y/N) asked.
“Well you are definitely not fighting anymore. Wanda, stay with her. I have to end this now.” Pietro stood up before (Y/N) surged her hand out and took his own.
“Pietro, wait! Don’t go! I can’t--You can’t die!” She exclaims, looking distraught.
“I have to go, and I will not die… It sounds like I have three people I need to protect.” He offers his signature smirk before he was gone.
“Pietro!!” (Y/N) screams before Wanda pulls her back from the havoc that was outside the crumbling door. She buried her face into Wanda’s jacket before sobbing as she placed a hand onto her stomach. This was too much to handle at once.
It was finally over, (Y/N) had been taken by Hawkeye so Wanda could help fight the others. She held her breath since she hadn’t heard from either of them as they were boarding onto the Quinjet.
“Where is Pietro and Wanda?” (Y/N) demanded, storming over to Vision who looked to her.
“They are behind you.” Vision assures, gesturing behind her as she turned just in time to see Pietro and Wanda stepping onto the jet.
Tears flooded down (Y/N)’s face as she rushed over, hugging Wanda before turning her attention towards her lover. She held him tightly as he smiled, holding her back before he moved them so the others could get on board as well.
“Pietro Maximoff, if you do something so stupid again, I swear to every god that exists, you won’t be able to outrun my wrath.” She growled softly.
“Noted.” He chuckles before kissing her passionately before sitting down onto the floor. He pulled her into his lap, rubbing up and down her back. “You know, we should talk about this,” He places his hand onto her stomach. “I think this is rather important, but later. Right now, I am just thankful that we are all alive.” He whispered.
“I’m scared.” She whispered softly as he looked up to her with a confused face for a moment. “What if I’m not a good mom. I mean… Pietro, we’re practically kids.” She whispered with a wobbling lower lip.
“That may be true, my darling. However, I think we will do just fine. And we have Wanda to help us out. Whatever happens. I’m with you all the way.” He smiles before it falters for a moment. “Do you--Do you want to keep the baby?” He asked, scared she would say no, but knowing that this was her body, her choice.
“Of course I do, I’m just… really scared.” She whispered before laughing in tears. “We’re going to have a baby.” She gasps.
“We are.” He whispered before she laid down and fell asleep from exhaustion. Pietro watched her for a moment before running his fingers through her hair as his eyes slowly fell onto her stomach. “Hello my little gem. This is your daddy speaking, and I just wanted to let you know that I love you so much already. Even if you are this tiny little thing that doesn’t have a heartbeat yet.” He whispered. “I hope I can be a good dad for you.” He whispered softly.
“You will be.” A rough voice assured as Pietro’s eyes snapped up to see Hawkeye grinning down at him. “Because you’ve got us to help out when you need it.” He assures before Pietro looks down to (Y/N) once again before he smiles.
“It seems our family just got a little bigger.” He chuckles to (Y/N)’s stomach before pulling (Y/N) into his arms and his eyes fluttered shut. He was just glad that they were no longer being held captive by anyone, they were free to live their lives for the first time in what seemed like forever.

So...what kind of horror movie would you write featuring the Hargrove/ Mayfield family? (That you haven't written already lol)
oh boy, u may regret asking me this bc i am indecisive af and i can’t pick just one!
two that i'm actually writing are max as (g is for) ghostface killer in the abcs of neil’s death and also the max + tory nichols werewolf movie fic outlined here. also some more misc gorror junk bc i’m a demon and esp horny for susan wearing blood splatter. but more ideas commence below:
horror movie #1: another creature feature! awhile back @lucdarling sent me an ask abt max + billy hiding smth from susan and her like, playing along, pretending she doesn't know, and one of the scenarios that popped in my head was them keeping a baby bat as a pet. max finds it and she’s only like six or seven, and she thinks it’s going to turn into a vampire. so here is that scenario except horror edition: baby bat is actually a vampire type creature. not rly a vampire like, what’s prolly popping into ur head, like an undead human like dracula or smth, but like a bat monster that sucks blood.
billy being a lil older doesn’t actually think the bat is going to turn into a vampire. he makes fun of max for believing this, but he helps her take care of it anyway bc he thinks it’s cool. susan, like in the non-horror version, knows abt the bat but plays dumb bc she’s feeling a lot of guilt abt max’s difficulty adjusting to the blended fam (as of rn tho, neil has yet to reveal his abusive nature. the red flags are not yet red, more of a brownish maroon, and he is on his best behavior almost all the time, showering susan + max with affection and keeping the swears out of his mouth when he scolds billy in front of them) and knows the lil furry baby makes her happy. she tacitly cleans up after the bat whenever the kids miss a spot (bats poop a lot, dude) and distracts neil, deterring him from discovering it whenever he gets close.
baby bat gets rly big rly fast. and the older it gets, the more it starts to look monstrous. it still has bat features but it’s just like, different. its fangs grow suspiciously long, its hooks grow suspiciously long. its feet are elongated. a dorsal ridge emerges from its spine, spikes at first just flesh but soft fur rather like peach fuzz eventually sprouting. billy catches on that smth is strange abt this animal when it's as long as his forearm after two wks and still growing. he nearly shits a brick when the bat is clinging to his sweater one day and he steps in front of a mirror and only his reflection looks back at him— no bat.
max laughs at him all like, “stupid brother, ofc there’s no reflection. nosferatu is a vampire, vampires don’t have reflections.” 😂
susan catches a glimpse of the thing when nosferatu crawls out of the home max built it in her closet the same wk billy realizes it doesn’t have a reflection, and also almost shits a brick. she doesn’t know what it is, but it’s NOT a fucking bat. not a normal one, anyway! cue a comedy scene where she’s chasing it around the house with a butterfly net and it’s always one flap *ba dum tss* ahead of her, flying just out of reach. she suddenly regrets not getting rid of it sooner, scolding herself for ever allowing her daughter to keep a wild animal.
she can’t catch it. max comes home, susan tells her she needs to get rid of it. max cries, flips her the bird, refuses. billy tho…billy has mixed feelings. he loves nosferatu but he’s worried it’s going to get dangerous. he loves his dad and his dad is dangerous too. he’s stressed out enough, always on edge, knowing that one way or the other, neil is going to hurt him again. he’s already waiting for his dad to hurt him, he doesn’t need the added stress of waiting for nosferatu to hurt him too. and while max is 100% nosferatu’s favorite, it likes billy too. billy’s been handling it since it could fit in the palm of his hand, it trusts him much more than it trusts susan and doesn’t know any different when billy takes it out of the closet when max isn’t around.
billy frees nosferatu at an abandoned farm. there are always bats flying out of the old silo adjacent to the dilapidated barn. while he knows nosferatu isn’t a *normal* bat, it’s still bat like enough that he thinks it might make friends and be happy here…
yeah, that doesn’t stick. before long, nosferatu is feasting on that colony. leeches the blood out of a couple bats nightly. the number of bats increases with nosferatu’s size. meanwhile, max mourns her missing friend. she’s sullen af and won’t speak to susan at all. she thinks susan is the one who got rid of nosferatu. billy never fesses up and susan doesn’t contradict max’s assumption bc she wants the step-siblings to get along.
neil, meanwhile, is getting more comfortable. those maroon flags are slowly but surely brightening to scarlet. he starts sabotaging susan’s plans with her friends, trying to keep her around the house more and more, quietly but steadily eroding her relationships with other people. he’s getting more visibly aggressive when he disciplines billy. he curses him out with a virulent venom that dunks susan’s stomach in ice water and scares max so badly, she runs to susan and hides behind her even though she’s still so mad that susan got rid of her beloved baby vampire.
nosferatu’s appetite surpasses what the bat colony can offer. it’s like the size of a ten yr old human child now. fucker’s big. it doesn’t just have fangs on top, but tusks on bottom. it can’t go out in the sunlight anymore, the sun sears its flesh. it misses max a lot and before, it wasn’t strong enough to fly back to her house. but now it is. it’s extremely strong, actually.
so bc it's hungry, nosferatu grabs a snack along the way. some nameless rando, it swoops down and sucks dry. nourished and much happier, nosferatu makes its way back home. patiently waits outside of max’s bedroom in the moonlight, tapping its hook against the window until she wakes up. initially max is a lil startled— nosferatu looks so different, there’s a beat before she recognizes it— him?? yk, ig it’s male, the og nosferatu was a guy. sure, why not, nosferatu is a boy now.
once she realizes who it is, she is so! happy! max opens the window and embraces her friend. she isn’t freaked out by the blood on its fangs. she’s always known nosferatu is a vampire, albeit, she was thinking he’d look more like dracula than this bat-monster-thingy.
nosferatu moves back into max’s closet. it hangs upside-down from her rod by its weird, elongated feet. we get more shots of nosferatu sucking rando ppl dry at night, tho he remains gentle with max. when max drags billy in to show her he came back, nosferatu is less friendly with him. he’s not aggressive with billy, but he is standoffish. nosferatu’s thought process is somewhere between human and animal. he doesn’t quite cognitively understand that billy took him to the farm with the intent of getting rid of him, but he does understand that the last time he clung to billy, billy left him alone and never came back. max puts two and two together, and realizes it was billy who “stole” her friend. she yells at him a lot, he yells back, she then ices him out.
billy acts out bc he’s upset. runs away, thinks he’s going to find his mom…the cops find him first and call neil. neil is rly embarrassed and pissed abt the whole thing. he breaks down and beats billy in front of the mayfields for the first time. nosferatu smells the blood and it’s time for the main event! we love dead!neil, yes, we do.
nosferatu flies out the closet and right into the living room where billy’s bleeding and teary but biting his lip so they don’t actually fall. susan’s covering max’s eyes but so shocked and tbh, FRIGHTENED, she doesn’t move a muscle beyond that. neil’s got the belt raised, preparing to bring it down again, and nosferatu smashes right into him. neil stumbles, turns back to see this freaky monster looking thing. proceeds to whip the belt at nosferatu. tries to fight him off with the belt and it doesn’t accomplish much beyond pissing him off more— nosferatu, like most classic vampire types, has a healing factor!
max rips her mom’s hands off her face in time to see her pet sink its fangs into her stepdad’s throat. nosferatu sucks neil dry. billy’s a little dazed, not quite frightened. susan is just dead ass frozen, too scared to scream, even. nosferatu crawls over to billy and nudges at him, making sure he’s in once piece and forgiving him in the same go. max darts over and that snaps susan out of her stupor, but she isn’t as fast as our blood-sucking bat monster.
nosferatu stretches his wings out and with a truly impressive wingspan, hugs both of the kids. <3
horror movie #2: a haunting! this one opens with a bang. it’s a tragic horror, beware. we’re in hawkins post s3. billy died at starcourt mall. neil’s obvi had a longstanding abusive mindset and abusive behavior, but he rly takes his grief out on susan and max. mostly susan. she does her best to protect max however she can, whether that means shielding her w her body, sending her out of the house, getting neil’s goat to inspire his ire in max’s place, etc. but sue simply isn’t around all the time and when she isn’t, but max is, well. yk.
one day neil comes home early (bc he lost his job for a violent outburst, tbh) and discovers susan packing a suitcase.
sue fights hard. she rly does. but neil is bigger, heavier, crueler, and to boot, he caught her completely unawares. he kills her. and no, no it’s not some accidental thing where neil makes one bad move rage-blind. he strangles her with his belt. she’s clawing at his arms and making these horrible choked, trapped animal noises. thrashes and twists her body with everything she has trying to get him off but he’s so strong, his grip is unrelenting, and she's growing weaker, lightheaded with the lack of oxygen. strangulation can induce incontinence and when susan blacks out, her piss streams to the hardwood— neil hears that as much as he felt the clawing and heard the noises, even now he could stop, but he doesn’t. he just. doesn’t think his wife has the right to leave him, esp not after his son just did.
neil burns the body and the suitcase in the woods while max is at school. max has been spending as much time as she can (and often with sue’s prompting) outside of the house, so it actually takes her about two days to realize her mother isn’t around. neil tells a pretty convincing story about how susan abandoned them, voice saturated with apology and sorrow. he takes her out for a fancy dinner and promises he’s going to be a better father-- that being a better father is the least he can do now that her mother abandoned her and they are alone in their grief.
max doesn’t know what to think. she’s been preoccupied with her own grief and pain. she finds it hard to believe her mother would just leave her to neil’s wrath. she has a lot of hangups with susan and anger toward her for marrying neil and not getting them out sooner, but she’s also old enough to realize there would be risks involved with that. it’s hard to reconcile the memory of her mother just last wk pinning max to the wall to protect her from neil’s blows with her own bod just abruptly taking off without a word in the middle of the night. but hey, maybe that’s why susan left. maybe she got sick of protecting her, maybe the pain got to be too much and she turned tail.
but also…it’s early october now, abt three months after billy’s death but still fairly warm outside. yet neil is wearing long sleeves. neil never used to button his collared shirts all the way up, and yet. every collar is buttoned. also, mom’s car is still here. why would mom leave without her car?
that ceramic pelican she loved so much is still here too, on the mantle in the living room. it doesn’t seem like the kind of thing she would leave behind, she's had it since max was a baby.
max almost wants to believe neil because she’d rather her mother abandoned her than be dead somewhere, rotting in a storage locker or a hole in the ground. under the earth with the worms, just like billy. max has the worst feeling low in the pit of her gut. she thinks she knows the truth. she thinks abt going to hopper and hesitates bc she’s not sure she could handle it if he actually found smth. or what would happen to her if he did, where she would be sent, who she would end up with.
this movie would be more on the ambiguous end of things. an arthouse horror, if u will.
the days turn into wks and neil is crawling in his skin. the viewer isn’t sure if the shadows he’s seeing, always, always susan-shaped shadows, are of a ghostly nature or if he’s just hallucinating out of guilt. but the signs gradually point to the former— that smth paranormal is indeed going on. bc those scratches and bite marks susan left in his skin?
they do not heal. they do not get infected. they do not become necrotic. but they do not heal, either. days turn into wks and the wounds still look fresh, like she just left them moments ago. neil can’t wear light colors anymore because his wounds weep red into the fabric. he isn’t just seeing susan’s shadows either, he’s smelling her.
he washes his sheets and pillowcases a dozen times and the scent of her shampoo, her lotion, it’s like it’s woven into the fibers. he walks into the hallway and chokes on the aroma of susan’s perfume. he wonders if max is screwing with him, if max figured it out and she’s trying to torture him into a confession. one day he stomps off to max's bedroom, furious, adamant on confronting her. he grabs her doorknob, prepared to yank it open and then lets out a yelp, jerking his hand back with a sudden sharp pain.
it feels like a bee sting (which would be esp bad for this fucker in anything i write, bc i headcanon him as being allergic). but there’s no stinger. no injury. nothing. neil is freaked out enough that he backs down.
max, on the other hand, is getting gentler signs. when she turns the radio dial in the camaro, it’s somehow always her mom’s favorite songs that come thru the speakers. when she goes to pull clothes out of her drawers in the morning, she discovers that the things she’d just shoved inside in wrinkled balls are perfectly folded, neat as a pin, exactly like how susan always folded. susan was always fond of cardinals and suddenly max is seeing cardinals, pretty red cardinals, in just abt erry tree and shrub.
neil wakes up one night to his wife’s voice whispering “boo” right in his ear. he throws the covers off and discovers ashes in the bed. he doesn’t smell susan’s shampoo or lotion anymore, he smells the kerosine he’d poured all over her body.
his wounds still won’t heal. whenever he looks in the mirror, he catches a glimpse of susan walking past behind him, peering at him from her peripheral. he whips around, heart hammering, but there’s never any tangible person there.
max is almost certain her mother is dead at this point. neil’s been so bizarrely nice to her lately. she never believed in ghosts but her experiences with the upside-down broadened her perception of reality. she doesn’t know how else to explain the songs, the cardinals, the folded clothes. the way that these days, whenever she does feel fear toward neil, it just fades away. her fear melts like popsicles in the sun, immediately replaced by the sensation of a warm, maternal hug, as if arms she can’t see are trying to reassure her she truly doesn’t need to be afraid of him anymore.
in fact, max feels so unafraid of neil and brave, that one night she calls him out on it. he’s grizzled and unshaven in his recliner, beer in hand. she steps in front of the television he’s vacantly fixated on and folds her arms across her chest.
“you killed my mom, didn’t you?”
quick as a flash, neil leaps to his feet. he brings his arm back like he’s going to strike her and susan’s ceramic pelican on the mantle explodes into shards. the lights flicker, the television program cuts to snow with a static roar. every other knickknack on the mantle rattles and framed photos tumble off the wall.
neil very wisely lowers his hand. he slumps, boneless. he doesn’t say a word. max sees the answer in his eyes. it’s the dead of night and she snatches the camaro keys off the hook, marching out of the house, slamming the door behind her. it’s the dead of night and she doesn’t care. she’s going to blow past every stop sign and pound on the chief’s door until he opens up. and fuck, i just realized if this is post s3 he’s supposed to be in russia. shit. i don’t watch this show, but i know abt russia bc i DID watch the clips of that demogorgon that i rly hope isn’t stuck in captivity!! okay, but let’s pretend that didn’t happen?
it’s an au?? i mean, errything i write is always technically an au anyway, bc when i write stuff susan has an actual personality and billy isn’t *completely* abhorrent. okay, so it’s an au and mr. hopper didn’t blow up and un-blow up in russia. he’s still here. so max drives to his house.
she pounds on the door so hard this guy snaps outta bed, thinking someone’s trying to bust it down. she tells him neil confessed to killing her mom. it isn’t true, exactly, but he didn’t have to. so it’s a helluva grim drive back to cherry lane, this time in the cop car.
but when they go inside, chief prepared to arrest neil, no need. neil’s hanging from the belt he strangled susan with, shirtless for the first time since that night, erry seemingly fresh furrow and bite mark on full display. below his dangling feet is a map, the area he burned susan’s corpse in circled in red marker. did he kill himself or did the ghost do it?
up to u, we soundlessly cut to credits without a concrete answer to that question.
horror movie #3: crossover special! stranger things meets the chilling adventures of sabrina. sequel to that fic i wrote where susan makes out with lilith, queen of hell, and lilith kills neil for her. sue officially joins the church of lilith. bc in this ‘verse the church of lilith actually happens after caos s2 instead of the nonsense that was s3 and the inconceivably godawful migraine-inducing shit-fest that was s4.
killing neil was lilith’s only freebee. susan isn’t a witch, she’s a mortal, so in order to reap the other rewards of worshipping the one and only mother of demons, she has to fornicate with the witches and participate in the sacrifices!!!
this is, uh, well. it’s p much a porno, dude, sorry. 😅
this is just an excuse for susan to have sex with lilith, zelda, marie, hilda, big witch orgies + susan. witches bathing in the blood of their sacrifices, susan so nervous and timid but unable to deny her desire. the witch’s dressing her in their gothic garb.
how does the rest of the fam get it on this?
max joins the church too. she has more age-appropriate conduct with sabrina and the weird sisters, and what have you. just smooches and over-the-clothes groping, and whatnot, even tho the weird sisters, at least, would be interested in going further if given the opportunity.
billy dies in starcourt again, so he gets revived in the cain pit! hilda is the one who goes to him after bc she’s been in the cain pit many a time (i am still BIG side-eyeing zelda for repeatedly murdering her sister since childhood). hilda understands how jarring it can be to come back. suddenly alive!billy is freaking tf out but she brings him inside the mortuary, wraps him up in a big blanket burrito and they have a talk. hilda explains that he’s going to be okay and rubs his back while he tentatively sips the hot chocolate she made.
after billy’s calmed down, she brings max and susan in. max and susan can’t do as much magic as the caos witches— they’re mortals, after all, it’s not in their nature —but they’ve gained some abilities thru being in the church, following the rituals, and being carnally involved with the immortal witches. max happily shows him some of her new magic tricks.
horror movie #4: another crossover with caos. heavily inspired by creepshow episode s2e1, model kid (which i already v blatantly referenced in the last axe snafu update and i’m not ashamed, bc it’s a good series i love v much).
billy picks max up from the byers’ place rly late one night. it’s dark and the weather is bad and okay, yeh, he might be a little high. and a little concussed. he pissed neil off pretty bad the other day and okay, actually he’s defo concussed bc he doesn’t even remember what he did wrong!
needless to say, they take a wrong turn somewhere. they end up in greendale. at first max is pissed. she yells at him a lot! yells so loud hilda can hear them thru the walls of dr. cerberus’s comic shop/diner. she goes outside to see what all the fuss is abt, hilda never rly ignores youth in need. we love hilda, she deserved so much better…i’m getting distracted, okay, back to the story.
hilda ushers them inside. max is like, “ooh, comics? horror junk and comics? nvm, i’m not mad anymore.” she pats billy’s arm and wanders away to go check stuff out! hilda makes billy sit down. caos canon established that she’s psychic, at least when she wants to be. she smells the weed but she also sees his life, his trauma. billy doesn’t remember what he did to piss neil off or the abuse that followed, but hilda sees it clear as day.
he’s rude and cranky w her when she probes a little too much for his liking. hilda gently but firmly reprimands him and gets him a milkshake on this house. then she goes to check on max. she steers max to a v particular section of the shop, the one that sells model kits. now, max isn’t *huge* into model kits BUT they are p neat and she enjoys them well enough. more so when the weather is nasty and she can’t go outside. or when she needs smth to do with her hands (a trait she shares w susan) to distract herself and ease some of the anxiety when she hears her brother being beaten or her mother being shouted at.
max is actually rly impressed by the array of models. vintage ones and newer ones. monsters, slashers, final girls, tiny accessories like knives and bloodied heads. but when she gets to the paint-your-own shelf, her jaw drops to the floor.
there’s one that looks just like neil. unpainted, plain gray vinyl, but undoubtedly her stepdad. the expression on the five inch figurine is one frozen in fear.
“i think that one’s calling to you,” hilda prompts her, with the softest smile.
max blinks away her bewilderment altho she still can’t speak. she turns to hilda and turns her empty pockets inside out. hilda just waves her hand. she tells her it’s on the house. that it wouldn’t be fair if she gave billy smth on the house, but not max.
speaking of billy, when he finishes his milkshake, he’s suddenly totally sober and healed!! no more high buzzing in his blood. no more pounding headache or concussion fogging his mind. he doesn’t feel his bruises anymore, rolls his sleeve up, and realizes they simply aren’t there anymore. like they dissolved off his skin.
albeit it’s muttered under his breath, but billy does thank hilda. then he and max are on their way. max shows him the suspiciously familiar figurine in the box. this night cannot get weirder.
max knows what to do with the model kit. she does. she isn’t sure how she knows, but she does. she grapples with it for a long time. neil’s the closest thing she has to a dad these days. and things aren’t bad all the time, ofc.
sometimes neil gives max a ride when mom and billy aren’t available. sometimes he brings her ice cream entirely unprompted. neil’s the one who picks max up off the sidewalk when she wipes out super bad on her skateboard, carries her inside and then later to the car when her cut doesn’t stop bleeding and she ends up needing stitches.
but most of the time he sucks. she can’t rly be herself around him. he's indifferent to her interest at best, scornful at worst. he would hate all her friends. he scares the shit out of her when he’s angry. he doesn’t have a problem belittling her mother in front of her, tearing susan to shreds and making her out like she’s lower than dirt, the most worthless person on the planet. doesn’t have a problem beating billy in front of her or glaring at her with the promise that she’ll be next if she dares to voice her dissent.
max doesn’t always want to do what she knows she’s meant to do with the model. bc she's kind at heart and bc on the good days, she genuinely does have mixed feelings toward neil. never enough to hope he'll be better, he's proven he won't...but maybe enough to hope he won't get worse, either.
then comes the night neil breaks ribs. bad, like we’re talking, a-sharp-spear-of-broken-rib-punctures-billy’s-lung-and-he’s-coughing-up-blood-bad. that’s a trip to the emergency room. in the days that follow, at her next dnd meeting w the party, max places the fully and attentively painted model of her stepdad on the table. normally her pals would protest her derailing the intended game, but they can sense it, yk, that smth is different.
max takes over as dungeon master to the protest of no one, all other mouths sealed as if bewitched and spellbound. she narrators a scene where the demogorgon devours neil and uses the demogorgon piece and the model for demonstration.
when max returns home, neil is strewn across the house in gory chunks and torn wallpaper curls around massive claw marks.

◇~◇~◇~◇~◇~◇~◇~◇~◇~◇~◇~◇~◇~◇~◇~◇~◇
“Mommy?”, said the boy sitting at the dining table, while trying to focus on his drawing. Serena, the mother of the boy with the raven black hair hummed in response without looking up from her painting. “Where you ever at the Grand Line or the New World?”, Serena who was painting the person that appeared in her dreams last night, stopped in her tracks and looked at the direction the little boy was sitting at. The question of her son caught her by surprise what made her look at him quite dumbfounded. “Ehm… Dear, where did that question come from now?”, she asked while she put her brush aside. The little boy who still wasn´t looking up shrugged his shoulders and gave an answer what could also have been that from his father. “Probably somewhere from the corner of my brain.”, he answered and looked his mother in the eyes. He knew that his way of talking resembled that of his father a lot what always surprised his mother when he talked because he rarely was home, but still he managed to sound like him. So every time he said something his father also could have said, his mother would stop doing whatever she was busy with at the moment and just stare at him with the same loving eyes she looked at his father. And every time she did so, he always tried to never miss the sight of that, because it made him proud to see that he could make his mother happy with such a simple thing.
“Well yes, I grew up on an island on the Grand Line until my teenage years. After I turned 20 I guess I ended up somewhere in the New World where I also met your father. But you already know that so why ask me that?”, Serena slowly approached her son and sat down next to him. Her son Faun, who seemed to be thinking about something deeply, put his pen down and intended to ask another question when he stopped himself by putting his small hand over his mouth. The little gesture made the brunet haired woman next to him laugh. Faun was now slowly looking back to his mothers face and tried to form a proper sentence. “May I.. ehm.. ask you some questions about… well about… you and… dad?”, although the young boy knew that his mother did not like talking about her past he always wanted to know so much about her. He always tried to ask her some questions but she somehow always managed to get out of those situations by changing the topic or making him forget what he wanted from her. Even now he had no hope of hearing her tell him her and his dad’s story. He was about to apologize and get back to his drawing when she took him in her arms and left her atelier behind. “Mom? Where are we going?”, asked the confused little boy. But Serena just smiled at him lovingly and kept walking. When she did not reply to him he decided to keep quiet and see what´s going to happen. Little did he know that she was going to tell him the story he always wanted to hear. Serena walked into her bedroom and placed her usually talkative son on the bed she slept on alone for the last eight months. Sitting on his mother’s bed, Faun was following her steps with his eyes. While she was busy taking a box out of her closet. After taking the box out of its place she closed the doors to her closed and walked back to her son and sat down next to him on the bed that seemed to be bigger than usually since she slept alone on it.
“Tell me Faun. I do know that you saw pictures of me when I was younger but did you ever saw a picture of your father when he was younger or a child?”, the Question caught the ten years old boy by surprise what made him blink a few times. But he quickly pulled himself together and shook his head a bit to fast. She gave him a loving smile and went through his raven black hair. “In that case I´ll start telling you something about your father with some pictures of him and that of some others. Alright?”, the look the incredibly beautiful boy gave her was worth to be photographed but she did not dare to leave him just to go and get a camera so she just took him in her arms and kissed his cheek while laughing. “You have pictures of Dad, when he was younger?! Wow! Was he good looking? Was he as muscular as he is now?”, curiosity rolled over Serena’s son what made him ask one question after another. It took him a while until she could calm him down and make him focus on what she is going to tell him so she took her time and let him talk for a while. While he did so she couldn´t stop thinking about his father, her husband. The man who stole her heart, her mind and her soul.
A man every person feared and respected at the same time. A man whose story was spread around the world like that of a tale. Whose story was seen as that of a hero who also played the villain at the same time. The name of that man is well known. A tale with a title that can create any kind of emotions when read. A title made of just a name. A name that was and forever will be the cause of her racing her heart and trembling hands. A name that was engraved in her heart and carried by her soul with so much love and passion that it caused her pain. A name that was always on her mind. Portgas D. Ace.
I wonder how he is doing right now. Is he alright? Is he hurt? Is he getting enough sleep?
“Mom? Is everything ok?”, Serena got lost in her thoughts thinking about the man who promised her to come see her every four months and forgot that she had her son sitting in front of her. “Mom is everything alright? You look sad. Did I upset you?”, the huge smile that was lingering on the plum red lips of her son was now gone. Serena knew that Faun was not the child he used to be. A little boy she could trick with a smile or by changing the topic. He no longer was the naïve boy he used to be. He was a mature 10 years old boy. For her taste even to mature but Luffy said that he is just like Ace himself. He told her stories about him as a 10 years old boy who was also really mature for his age and who did things she could never think of.
🎼 Upon one summer's morning, I carefully did stray. Down by the Walls of Wapping, where I met a sailor gay. 🎼
Faun was about to call his mother again when she took a deep breath and started to speak in a soft calm voice. A voice that was so beautiful that could make any person weak in their knees. Her voice what was one of the many things Ace fell in love with.
“It was a calm and warm morning on the island I was living in at that time.”, Faun was taken aback for a second but quickly understood that she was telling him what he always wanted to hear. So he sat back and listened. “It was a huge island but not many people lived there. There was a small village of probably just 100 people. They were really nice people. Each of them was friendly and respectful, with caring and funny personalities. I loved them from the bottom of my heart. As you know my beloved Faun, I am half mermaid but they never judged me because of that. I fact they never made me feel out of place. They helped me and my father every day. They brought me my favorite sweets, my fathers favorite dishes and clothes for the both of us. When my mother came visiting us they would treat her like any other person on the island. They loved me and my small family so much that they even where ready to fight for us when one of the most strongest pirates stopped at the island and asked for my father. It was really funny because my father knew the pirates but they still were suspicious and didn´t trust them a bit. When my father invited some of them to our house the women of the village would come and literally drag me out of my house and keep me in theirs until they left.”, the memories of the village and the time she spend there made her emotional. She missed all of them. They turned in just a short period into her family. A family that loved her more than she ever deserved.
“Now guess who those pirated were my father knew?”, Faun did exactly was his mother asked him to do. He thought and came up with a bunch of famous pirate names but each time she said no. When he looked at his mother with a mad and frustrated sigh, a chuckle left her and she sat her son in between her legs and placed a kiss on his head. “It were the Whitebeard pirates, who are now called …”, before she could finish the sentence her son finished it with big eyes filled by amazement. “… the White Fire pirates. Grandpa knew Whitebeard?! But how?”, Serena smiled at her son and opened the box she previously took out of her closet. The box was filled with different pictures. Some by people he instantly recognized and some by people he didn´t knew. “My father was part of the Whitebeard crew and was in the fifth division. And what made this division so special was that it was called the swordsmen division. And yes. Before you start to freak out again, Grandpa is a swordfighter.”, it only took a second for the boy to lose control over himself again and to start jumping around out of excitement. “Oh Mother! You have to tell me more! Why did you never said that Grandpa was so awesome?!”, a small giggle left Serena before she took her sons hand in hers and sat him down in front of her again. “Father was an amazingly strong pirate and on top of that a good man. That´s why he was so loved by the village.”, Serena took out a picture of her father when he was in his forties and Serena just 19. Faun looked at the picture with an open mouth and talked without thinking. A habit he had from Ace. “No offense but he looks older than he is now on the picture. How can one look so old? And no wonder dad fell in love with you. You were beautiful! But now you are even more beautiful. Don´t tell dad but you even look better than him. Just a bit though!!”, the words that left the young boys mouth made Serena laugh. How come he is so much like his father when he´s barely home and with us?
“You really need to stop telling him that he looks so old. Otherwise he won´t come see us anymore.”, Serena let Faun still look at the pictures of her and her father when she took out a picture of Ace as a young man in the age of just 20.
🎼 Conversing with a young lass, who seem'd to be in pain. Saying, William, when you go I fear you'll ne'er return again. 🎼
“The day they came to our island was not one to be happy. It was a sad reunion between my father and the pirates. A lot of their crew mates where hurt and some of them were even close to death. They needed help and a new captain. One of those who were about to die was your father my dear Faun. Uncle Marco who is the commander of the first division was worried to death because he couldn´t help him. He was just able to keep him alive while he was in coma. And this is when I meet him for them first time. Badly injured and with a weakly beating heart that threatened to stop keeping him alive. My father called me and convinced me to heal him since I ate from a devil fruit that gave me the ability to heal people. Marco and the other commanders talked to me and promised me to give me anything I wanted when I would promise them to heal Ace. Their friend, their commander and the man they would die for.”. the memories of Ace when he was close to death made her realize how worried she was about him now. Ace, who was now her husband. He should have been here four months ago. He should have came and see her and their son but he didn´t came. He did not reply to any of her letters in the last two months. Her heart clenched with the thought of him getting hurt and she started to cry. “Mom? Why are you crying?”, She didn´t wanted her son to see her cry and make him worried. She didn´t wanted him to lose hope in his father and the promise that he´ll come see them again. So she wiped her tears away and smiled. “It´s just that I miss my old hometown. It’s nothing serious.”, Faun hugged his mother and gave her a kiss on the cheek. “No need to be sad. When dad comes home we can ask him how Grandpa is doing because he always visits him whenever he comes back home. Now please stop crying and show me your smile. I want to see your dimples and kiss them just like dad does whenever you’re sad!” Ace. Just know that although you might not be here with me and although I am left alone with my longing for you and the painful emptiness in my heart caused by your absence, the presence of our son takes all of that away from me.
Serena gave her son the smile he asked her to show him and instantly got showered with kisses. “Are you feeling better Mom? If not I give you more kisses and hug you for hours just like a koala does a tree. No wait. I hold onto you like a sloth holds onto a tree! Yes that´ll do for sure. Wait no! Sloths aren´t cute though….”, the adorable nonsense her son talked managed to make her laugh again. Marco was right; although father and son are not always together they are alike. Even to the point Faun sometimes looks like Ace´s clone. “Now what happened next? Please tell me more.”, Serena nodded and showed him more pictures.
🎼 My heart is pierced by Cupid, I disdain all glittering gold. There is nothing can console me, but my jolly sailor bold. 🎼
“It took us a long time until all of the men were healthy again. But it took us the most making sure Ace was back to his normal state. Although he had the power of the fire fruit it took a long time until he was fully healthy. That caused a lot of them to be worried since they planned to make him to their new captain at that time.”, Serena showed Faun pictures of some of the Commanders and Ace when he suddenly said something that made her blush. But as quickly as the pink shade crept up her cheeks as quickly did it also leave and that only because of the words of her little boy. “That’s a great story but how did you and dad fall in love? Can you tell me that? Uncle Marco told me that Dad is the main cause of any problem they have and a risky captain. He never backs off from any fight, what I also do and forever will but compared to him you are his total opposite. You are calm and he is loud. He is ready to take risks you try to avoid anything that is close to being a bit difficult. It´s like a normal civilian and a princess that ended up as a couple. How did you to end up marring?”, Serena looked at his son with an unreadable gaze lingering upon her. She was shocked by his words but also in the verge of laughing out loud. At the end she wasn´t able to keep her laughter in and started to laugh. While she was holding her stomach from the pain her son was looking at her with an emotionless face. “What did I say?”, with a slightly tilted head the green eyed boy was looking up at his mother with confusion written all over his face. “Oh dear!”, Serena wiped the tears away that fell on her cheeks before she started to talk again. “I do understand what you mean but don´t you know the saying opposites attracts? But going honest I have to admit that it did take us both a while before we actually understood that we had feelings for each other. In those weeks where I took care of him and his crew while they decided on how to start all over again as pirates, I started to get happy whenever he was around me. I turned into the happiest living being whenever he called me or asked me for a favor. Whenever he needed anything I was the first one to go get that. No matter what it was. I loved him but I couldn´t believe it at the beginning until he and his crew left the island. Days and nights passed and I got sadder whenever I saw something that reminded me of him. I couldn´t sleep. I couldn´t eat. I was lost and felt empty. I was restless and somehow just existing. One day I got a letter. The envelop had just my name on it and nothing else. But somehow I still knew that is was from your father. The letter itself had no actual beginning nor and ending. The content of the letter wasn´t anything special but still made me more than just happy. If any other person would have read it they would have been disappointed and wouldn´t think about it. They even would have called it unnecessary and nonsense. But to me it was more than that. It was special because it made me feel like he thought about me and the time he was on the island. You know what made it so special was that fact that he started his writing where our talking ended before he left. This was the beginning of us getting closer. The love I had for him, the sentence anyone who was in love would have probably said hundreds of times never left my mouth nor had a place in my letters for him. He on his side did also never mention those three magical words. I don´t know about him but I was way to scared to say it out loud or write it down. I was scared that he might not feel the same and just see me as a good friend. But my heart was telling me otherwise. I was always praying to read those three words in one of his letters but never was disappointed when he did not write it down. Getting those letters and writing mine for him was a feeling I could never explain. I was filled by pure joy and love whenever I read his letters or wrote for him.”, Serena talked and talked. She told him anything she could think of while her heart was racing and her eyes were fixed on her hand with the ring he proposed to her. She remembers all those little moments with him. All those months and years of her crying over him. She remembers all those restless nights filled by the pained sobs that left her, accompanied by her aching and longing heart. She didn´t realized but while the memories of the man she would die for slowly made their way back to her mind a single tear fell down her cheek what made her realize how much she missed him and his touch. His voice calling her name and his laugh that would always light up her days.
🎼 His hair it hangs in ringlets, his eyes as black as coal. My happiness attend him wherever he may go. 🎼
Serena knew that she shouldn´t be crying in front of Faun so she kept the pain and the tears that threaded to fall back for later. But still she missed his presence more than ever. Eight months passed and he did not come back home. He should have been back four months ago. She should be getting letters from him every one or two weeks but nothing came. She was worried to death and couldn´t bear the pain anymore. She was scared of losing him. She was sacred to open the newspaper and read an article about his death. She wanted him to quit being a pirate and do whatever Garp would tell him. She wanted him to be save. Save, happy and at home. But she knew that his happiness is not only made of her and their son but also by sailing and being the free man he always wished to be. He wanted to be just like the man who saved him and gave him a reason to live. The man he called father from the bottom of his heart. The man he owns his life. She knew her wish of him being with her was selfish. She knew that she was selfish for wanting him to quit being a pirate but what else could she do? She was scared to death. She wanted him to be next to her. Somewhere she could take care of him and hold him. Kiss him and tell him how much she loved him. How much he meant to her. He was her life. The reason why she kept living. The reason she woke up every morning. He was the reason of her happiness.
But she put everything aside and let him be. She let him do whatever he wanted to do. She let him do whatever his heart desired and made him happy. Just so she could see him smile. He deserved it. He deserves to be happy and loved. He suffered enough in his life and deserves to be carefree now.
🎼 From Tower Hill to Blackwall. I'll wander, weep and moan. All for my jolly sailor until he sails home. 🎼
Faun was looking at a picture that showed his mother and his father at their wedding that was held on the main flagship of the White Fire Pirates, when he realized that his mother stopped talking. He looked at her and followed her gaze that was lingering upon her hand with her wedding ring. He saw her eyes that were filled with tears and was irritated since her lips were showing a beautiful smile. He wanted to say something and console her but he knew that he should not do anything since it might make it even worse. He knew that if he started consoling her by telling her that father was alright she might lose it all and break down. He knew his mother well. She was a soft hearted woman with a heart of gold. Although she was a strong woman with admirable fighting abilities she still was a woman in love after all. He remembers his Grandfather telling him that no matter how strong a person is. When they’re in love their strength can´t save them from the pain love brings. Faun was lost.
He didn´t wanted his mother to cry. When he asked her to tell him something about his father he didn´t wanted her to cry. He felt bad and started to tear up. Guilt took over him and he started to shed tears. “I´m sorry mother! I made you cry. I made you think about your past. I´m sorry.”, the son of the emperor was now hugging his mother while apologizing over and over again. “No my dear. It is not your guilt. And who says that I´m crying? See I´m all good. There is nothing to feel bad about. Hear me out. It it getting late. How about we get ready for bed? I tell you more about your father some other day. Alright?”, Faun who was still hugging his mother just nodded while soft sobs left him. The pained mother took her sons face in her hands and put a kiss on his forehead with a smile on her lips. She took his hand in hers and led him into the bathroom and prepared him for the night. And just like any other night she started to sing his favorite song. Usually Faun would never dare to make her stop since it calmed him down and made him feel loved and special. But tiday was different. There was a question lingering on his mind he needed an answer to. So he called for the woman he loved the most and made her stop singing to him not even half way through the song. “Mom I have a question. Is dad alright? Will he ever come back?”, when Serena thought that nothing’s going to worsen the pain in her chest her own flesh and blood proved her wrong. It took her a lot of courage and strength to put on a bright smile and answer him with a stabile and confident voice. “Of course he is doing fine. He is Fire fist Ace after all, isn´t he? And why shouldn’t he come back home? There is no reason to think that. Your father loves you more than anything on this planet. Believe it or not but he loves you even more than he loves Uncle Luffy or Uncle Sabo.”, the words of the half mermaid made the young boys sad face turn into a bright happy one with a huge smile upon his lips. “Thank you mother. Could you maybe continue with the song? I really love hearing it before falling asleep.”, Serena who was laying down next to her son nodded and continued singing the song not only he loved but also his father.
“My heart is pierced by Cupid, I disdain all glittering gold. There is nothing can console me but my jolly sailor bold. My father is a merchant, the truth I now will tell and in great London City in opulence doth dwell. His fortune doth exceed 300,000 gold and he frowns upon his daughter, who loves a sailor bold. A fig for his riches, his merchandise and gold. True love has grafted my heart, give me my sailor bold. My heart is pierced by Cupid, I disdain all glittering gold. There is nothing can console me but my jolly sailor bold. Should he return in pov'rty from o'er the ocean far to my tender bosom, I'll press my jolly tar. My sailor is as smiling as the pleasant month of May. And often we have wandered through Ratcliffe Highway. Many a pretty blooming young girl we did behold. Reclining on the bosom of her jolly sailor bold. My heart is pierced by Cupid, I disdain all glittering gold. There is nothing can console me but my jolly sailor bold”
Soft snores could be heard what signalized her that the little man she was singing to was now fast asleep. With a last kiss put on his head and a softly whispered “Goodnight my little treasure.”, she left his room and closed the door as soundless as possible. Her atelier she was working on before was still not cleaned up so she made her way back to her beloved work place and started to clean everything up. The song she sang her son before was not finished yet so she began singing where she stopped.
“My name it is Serena a merchant's daughter fair. And I have left my parents and three thousand pounds a year. Come all you pretty fair maids. Who ever you may be. Who love a jolly sailor that plows the raging sea. While up aloft in storm from me his absence mourn. And firmly pray arrive the day he's never more to roam. My heart is pierced by Cupid, I disdain all glittering gold. There is nothing can console me but my jolly sailor bold”, usually she would now repeat the song since it ended but the sight that life offered her did not only made her stop in her tracks but also made her drop anything she had in her hands. “I´m not sure if the original owner of this song would be really fond of hearing you change the name Maria with your own. I mean, it does sound beautiful but still, I´m just saying.”, Serena did not know what to do. She was overwhelmed with the situation and could not believe what she was seeing. A few minutes ago she was talking about him and lost hope of ever being able to see him again. She told her mind a few days ago that it shall stop hurting her more and forget him. But now she felt like she did not only betray herself but also him, who was now standing in front of her in all his glory. “Ace?”, tears she kept in all these day couldn´t be hold back anymore and made their way out. One after another wetted her cheeks and made her vision get blurry. She couldn´t believe what she was seeing. She told herself that he is not real but rather a trick played by her heart, mind and soul. She told herself to stop crying since he was not here with her. She told herself that her husband was somewhere in the New World and that she should stop crying, when the person who was the cause of all of her pain came closer and gave her a reassuring hug. As if he knew that she couldn´t believe her eyes and wanted her to believe. He wanted her to believe in him and his person that was truly standing in front of her. “Ace?”, she looked up in his eyes with tears still falling down his cheeks. “Love, I´m home.”, not knowing what to do himself the emperor placed his lips on those of his wives with the hope to get rid of the pain in his chest that accompanied him all those lonely night.

27 from the Yandere!Monster prompts list will malleus in his dragon form?? I want some double dick action ughhh 💦💦
(Hopefully this will be to your liking)
27."Why live such a mundane life when I can give you one beyond your wildest imagination?"
(Yandere! Malleus Draconia x Fem! Reader)
(WARNING NSFW AND NON-CON AHEAD)
Being rejected by the love of his life was not how Malleus expected this evening to go down. He thought he’d planned out his proposal to her perfectly: the atmosphere was perfect, the location was perfect, his darling was perfect!
So why then? Why was she not looking at him? Why was she shaking her head? Why was she quivering like a frightened animal? Malleus kept his expression schooled into a look of calm but on the inside he was ready to explode.
“I’m touched Malleus really I am but I...” (Y/n) trailed off her hands clenched together as she shifted nervously from one foot to the other as she thought. “This is all to sudden, I can’t accept your proposal. We haven’t even dated, we’re just friends!” She added hurriedly.
“We can go on a date after you accept my proposal child of man” Malleus replied smoothly, his gaze still fixed on (Y/n). “I want you by my side always and the best way to make that happen is to make you my wife” he continued and smiled faintly at (Y/n) to encourage her to accept his proposal.
“I... we... we’re from two different worlds Malleus. Not just literally but figuratively as well! You’re a fae prince, I’m a normal human girl. We go together as well as oil and glue, which is to say terribly” (Y/n) said shaking her head and taking a few steps back from the fae.
“That doesn’t matter to me, none of that matters to me! I love you (Y/n), with everything I am. I’d destroy worlds for you, just say the word” Malleus half-growled through his teeth. His anger was building fast and his draconic instincts were urging him to just take the girl despite her objections.
“I don’t want that! I would never ask you to do that! Malleus listen to me, our union would not be a happy one. You think you love me because I’m exotic to you, you’ll fall out of love with me before much longer” (Y/n) said softly daring to reach out to pet the hair of the still kneeling Malleus.
“Then what do you want my beloved child of man? Tell me what you desire and I’ll give it to you” Malleus insisted even as a blush formed on his face from the petting. He stubbornly tuned the second part of her statement even as his instincts became louder and louder. At this rate he might end up tossing the girl on the grass for quickie.
“I want to go back to my own world, back to my family, back to my friends. Maybe find someone nice to settle down with in a few years and have children someday” (Y/n) said her voice becoming dreamy as she reached the end of her statement. “Anyways I should go... we can talk tomorrow” She blinked slowly and turned red with embarrassment at her own musings as she turned her back on Malleus.
That was a big mistake as the moment her back was turn to him, the fae went feral. Body contorting, wings spreading, and fire falling from his lips as he cast a sleeping spell on his retreating love who went down like a tree once the spell was complete. Gently, ever so gently he scooped her up in his now scaly arms arms and flew to the dorms.
When (Y/n) regained consciousness she found her arms and legs bound the the bedframe of the bed she was one. Furthermore there was some kind of giant lizard sleeping on the bed with her, its head resting on her chest as it snored softly. It a way it was cute, a strangely  familiar way. Memories of a conversation months before came back to her mind.
“Tsu...Tsunotarou? Is that you?” She used the affectionate nickname hoping that if she was right it would improve his mood. Slowly the creature stretched out like a cat before opening its eyes to appraise her. Familiar, intelligent green eyes gazed back at her as the dragon-man sat up.
“I was wondering how long it would take for the spell to wear off. I didn’t want to start until you were awake to enjoy the experience with me” Malleus said rubbing his smooth snout against (Y/n)’s cheek with a purring sound escaping his lips. It was only now, with his scales rubbing against her and stealing her body heat that the girl realized she was naked.
“I still don’t understand why you seem intent on delaying the inevitable (Y/n). Why live such a mundane life when I can give you one beyond your wildest imagination?” Malleus cooed squeezing her breasts hungrily, careful not to impale her tender flesh with his claws. His tongue flicked out to taste her skin and he positioned himself between her legs without much fuss allowing his twin cocks to drag against her thigh.
“M-m-muh-malleus! Please! You aren’t going to?! It won’t fit! I’m begging you I’m a virgin!” (Y/n) babbled out hoping to discourage the fae but her confession seemed only to fire him up further. Malleus continued to tease (Y/n)’s chest with one hand while the other busied itself between her legs.
No matter which way she moved her hips, Malleus’s finger followed until it was eventually joined by four more and she was stiff with an incoming orgasm. Yet at the last moment the dragon-man denied her as he pulled his fingers free and brought them to his mouth to clean.
“I apology for teasing you like that (Y/n) but I need you to be as relaxed as possible so I don’t hurt you during our love making” Malleus purred, his one hand still on her chest teasing and his other now around his cocks bringing them to full hardness. Once he’d brought his shafts to satisfactory stiffness he pressed himself against the entrance of her cunt.
“Just relax and let me take the lead (Y/n)” Malleus said and that was all the warning she got before her pussy was being forced to accommodate his girths. To distract (Y/n) from the pain of stretching the fae took her neglected breast into his mouth and began sucking gently as his free hand took hold of her hip to steady her. The combination of sucking and teasing of her tits was eventually enough to make the girl relax so Malleus could slide in deeper.
“That’s my girl, I’m almost all the way in just keep relaxing for me and I swear I’ll make you feel so good in just a moment” Malleus promised softly as he finally sheathed himself completely in (Y/n)’s cunt and let out a low appreciative growl. He pressed a soft kiss to her lips as he placed his other hand on her hips and pulled out a little before thrusting back in. True to his word, the dragon man was focused on pleasuring (Y/n). His cocks dragging against her sensitive insides and hitting her sweet spot with each inward movement.
It wasn’t long before (Y/n) was moaning out in pleasure. Encouraged by her response, Malleus picked up speed but still hitting the sensitive nerves inside (Y/n) that make her sing like a bird. The fae was determined to make sure his love reached climax before he did so he redoubled his efforts and cut the ropes binding her to bed to curl her body into a better position for fucking. To his surprise, (Y/n)’s hands chose to find purchase around his horns and sent an additional pleased shiver down his spine.
With a high-pitched wail (Y/n) came violently and almost passed out right then and there but she managed to stay conscious to feel Malleus cum deep inside her. Both parties panted loudly for a long moment after until the fae man finally pulled out with both cocks still dripping with jizz.
With his lust sated, Malleus shifted back to his normal fae appearance and pulled the covers of the bed down so he could tuck himself and (Y/n) under the blankets to sleep. The girl tried to put up a weak fight against him but she was truly to tired to care.
For his part Malleus nuzzled his nose against (Y/n)’s neck and began purring contently. His last thoughts were about what kind of engagement ring would best suit his darling child of man...

Guardian rewatch: episode 6
Episode 6 jumps us into the case of a disappearing woman, Zhou Weiwei, with the SID team being on the scene, taking the unofficial statement of her fiancé, Ji Xiaobai. While in terms of the actual investigation this case is even thinner than usual, thematically its juicy. It’s musing on the self, and how the self is defined in the eyes of the others; it actually has a grown-up real life take on an unhappy love story, and it can even be read as having pro-immigration connotations. This episode is telling the viewer that one is not entitled to nice things because they are a human from the human world, and there is no sin in wishing to take a chance to move somewhere you can see the sun.
Tumblr media
From the very first scene, Zhao Yunlan, who always has been shown as hands-on with the investigation, removes himself from Xiaobai’s flat, claiming that he has to speak to someone. It’s obvious who that someone is; and we see that our Chief is starting to rely on Shen Wei as his consultant way before he ever offers him that job. There is no reason for Yunlan to seek the other man’s help; and yet, he will end up solving with Shen Wei by his side, and purely through Shen Wei’s ample advice.
Left with the worried, grieving fiancé of the missing Weiwei, Guo Chancheng suggests they take a stroll to calm down emotions, bringing himself, the man in question, and Chu Shizhu to his favourite place. He is, once again, being the sweetest, most lovely and considerate human being on this planet; and Chu Shizhu is starting to take his lead, listening, being a calming presence - even going as far as to softly offering Ji Xiaobai a beer.
Tumblr media
Hearing the sounds of a magpie, harbinger of good fortune, Guo Changcheng becomes animated, dragging Xiobai up to make a wish out loud. Xiaobai, predictably, wishes for his beloved to come back home, and Xiao Guo gladly repeats this wish, strengthens it with his will. This is where he is in his element: making people better, giving people hope, using his massive heart to help those around him. Guo Changcheng truly is too precious for words.
Tumblr media
“Kid. You never make wishes for yourself?”
“I do. When everyone is happy, I am happy as well.”
Tumblr media
We see Guo Changcheng’s simple, pure altruism resonating deep within Chu Shizhu, reminding him of his little brother that he lost. Well, I say “little” metaphorically, as the two are twins. That’s right, Guardian has two sets of twins, probably because it does not want to waste its extremely capable main cast. I’m not mad at it.
Later that day, Shen Wei is conversing with a flower Yashou conveniently living on campus. I think she has a name, but I have a habit of calling her Bush Woman, because it’s what she is.
Tumblr media
She is animated poorly, but at least she is animated at all: there will be a scene later in the series, in which she is played by a bush, being shaken enthusiastically below the shot. The actual conversation is about a person Shen Wei is looking for: he has received a tip from Butler Wu in the previous episode that one of commanders in the Underworld army had a child. Hoping that that child could give him a clue at to where the next of the Hallows is stored, Shen Wei is now looking for them. Naturally, the child in question is also the missing woman in question, but Shen Wei does not know that yet.
Their conversation is interrupted by Zhao Yunlan being sited on the bike heading towards the university. In the next scene, Zhao Yunlan is shifting uncomfortably at Shen Wei’s office door. Presumably, he has knocked, heard no response, and is just about to give up and go home. This is the moment Shen Wei opens the door from inside, greeting him. Did he teleport into his office so he could talk to Yunlan? Yes, yes he did.
Tumblr media
Despite being more than capable of deducing stuff on his own, Chief Zhao brings in the pictures of the disappeared Weiwei to Shen Wei to analyse for clues. We know that Shen Wei is aware that there is no actual legitimate reason for Zhao Yunlan to seek out his help - because Shen Wei states as much, in the nicest way possible. Zhao Yunlan does not actually have a satisfying answer to that, and his response is mostly boiled down to shameless flirting.
Tumblr media
And also doing throughly shameless things to a lollipop while maintaining eye contact the whole time. Because why not give our protagonist in the show about brotherhood the most homoerotic character quirk he could possibly have, right?
Tumblr media
As Zhao Yunlan and Shen Wei continue discussing the case, it becomes more and more clear that they work together marvellously, going as far as finishing each other’s sentences. The body language also suggests that they are very comfortable in each other’s company.
Tumblr media
Yunlan, who a few episodes ago would rather sleuth himself than ask people for clues, listens to the advise Shen Wei gives him, internalises it, and eventually uses it to solve this case. Scratch that, actually - he accepts it when Shen Wei pretty much solves the case for him.
Following Shen Wei’s words to the letter, Zhao Yunlan opens the portal into the magic dimension and discovers that there are, in fact, two Weiweis. The woman from the mirror - an Undergrounder, who left to live a normal life, and a human, who hid because she could not stand being unpopular, and now returned out of jealousy for her mirror counterpart’s perfect life.
Tumblr media
It’s very hard to not sympathise with the mirror!Weiwei over the human one. All the former wanted was to live, and to love, and to be happy. All the later wants is to have all that without putting in any effort. Human!Weiwei does not truly understand that it takes more than taking to have a relationship, and there is nothing that would allow her to be entitled to happiness that she did not herself create.
Instead, she calls mirror!Wewei a monster, and the later snaps, creating a whirlwind of energy which threatens to destroy everyone in the mirror with her.
Tumblr media
Unfortunately for her, one of the people she is threatening to kill is Zhao Yunlan, and we know how Hei Pao Shi feels about Zhao Yunlan’s life being threatened. This man, who does have a soft, squishy heart, and has previously allowed murderous Wang Yike to stay with her lover, all but snarls at mirror!Weiwei as he captures her.
The show treats hers and Xiaobai’s farewell as a true tragedy; it’s genuinely heartbreaking to see them cry, as we are shown flashback of their relationship.
Tumblr media
In the past couple of episodes, we have witnessed a huge shift in Shen Wei. He may have been determined to detach himself and march onwards alone a short while ago, but he has also seen the SID being full of kind, righteous individuals; he has been begged to save an Undergrounder’s life; he has been asked for friendly support and advice by Zhao Yunlan, and so he, perhaps unwittingly, allows his Hei Pao Shi persona to soften. As he takes mirror!Weiwei away, he stops to have a little tiny heart to heart with Yunlan, saying that identity of a person lies in their heart rather than what or who they are physically. This is a very Shen Wei thing to say, actually, but it will be a while before Yunlan figures that one thing out. Two things on this scene:
Tumblr media
One. The mask really does hide Zhu Yilong’s most prominent features pretty well, and to help the viewer understand how he could have been hiding his identity successfully for what could be months, the camera more often than not shoots Hei Pao Shi from a lower angle, and Shen Wei from the higher angle, or dead on, subtly reshaping the jaw line. It’s clever; as is often often the case with the camera work in this show.
Tumblr media
Two. Isn’t it a little bit amusing how this ancient godlike being needs to fill in the paperwork in line of his duty?
As with Shen Wei’s advice earlier on, Zhao Yunlan takes Hei Pao Shi’s one to heart as well, and makes his way to human!Weiwei to make sure Xiaobai knows that she is not at all the woman he fell in love with and wanted to marry. He unearths her greed, jealousy and entitlement in full; in the end, this relationship cannot survive, because how could Xiaobai possibly stay with someone who does not know - someone who even is, in some ways, responsible, for his lover being taken away from him forever? As the couple breaks up, Wang Zheng and Sang Zan’s love song is playing in the background.
During this scene, the infamous “I would like to buy [this coat] for my girlfriend” moment happens.
Tumblr media
As we know, he does not have a girlfriend. He may, however, have a boyfriend.
I really like the idea that he buys Shen Wei’s trench coats based on this. I really do. It is nice to see Shen Wei’s style starting to change dramatically as he and Zhao Yunlan become closer, of course, and I want it to be one of those deliberate coded messages Guardian is absolutely astonishing for. But at the same time, this is the jacket Yunlan is remarking on:
Tumblr media
It sadly does not look anything like what Shen Wei wears. I will file this under “it’s true because the fandom said so”.
Later, Hei Pao Shi is having a conversation mirror!Weiwei, revealing that he knew her father, and getting a clue he was after. We are getting a lovely extreme close-up of his eyes. While the mask does not stand to scrutiny of close examination - seriously, they could have maybe put actual leafing on it! - I really love this shot.
Tumblr media
At home, Zhao Yunlan is talking to Da Qing about his favourite subject, which is Professor Shen, and performing more shameless things to his lollipop while doing so. Brotherhood, my friends. This show it about bro-ther-hood.
Tumblr media
Da Qing wonders if his friend has been bewitched by Shen Wei, because it is obvious that Zhao Yunlan does not shut up about the man ever. When asked whether Yunlan would arrest the professor if he were indeed from the Underground, Yunlan responds with a dismissive, almost affronted “He didn’t do anything wrong”. We are to understand, through Da Qing’s reaction, that this is extremely uncharacteristic of Zhao Yunlan to say something like this, and it is entirely reasonable for Da Qing to be concerned. We could extrapolate that Da Qing’s worried because if Shen Wei is dangerous, getting attached to him in such a blatant manner could put Zhao Yunlan’s career and life at a very great risk. So, Da Qing, who knows his friend very well, chooses to press all the correct buttons to kick-start his natural curiosity, and do some investigative work into Shen Wei.
Tumblr media
Step one: break into his flat. As you do.
Tumblr media
When we saw Shen Wei view the flat prior to moving in, it was shown already furnished, which is not entirely consistent with this tasteful, yet eclectic, furniture. I don’t know about you, but most flats I have rented have been furnished at IKEA. I can’t help but particularly admire his G Plan style mid-century side-board. And the fact that the man owns a gramophone, because of course he does.
Tumblr media
Shen Wei’s book collection is wonderfully perplexing. I’m not surprised that he reads in English - he is educated, and Dragon City is explicitly shown as bilingual, seeing as signs and even gravestones are written in English. But choices were made with the selection of titles. Going off the English ones alone Shen Wei owns: three copies of the same book about architecture, a heavy looking tome on interior design, a tattered one on Van Gough, and the only non-fiction English titles in his possession are… Irvin Welsh’s Trainspotting and a novelisation of Rocky? The former is notoriously difficult read as it’s written entirely in the Scottish accent. The later is very difficult to find, as is often the case with unnecessary novelisations. Neither scream “Shen Wei” to me.
Apart from Shen Wei’s obviously fake book collection, we find out that he has some files on the SID. It should be a weird point of contention for Zhao Yunlan, considering that a) he also read Shen Wei’s files; b) he literally broke into the man’s apartment.
While Zhao Yunlan and Da Qing are still nosing around the flat, Shen Wei makes his way home, stilling at his door when he either sees that the lights are on (they won’t when he left), or notes with his Hei Pao Shi sense that someone is inside.
Tumblr media
We, in turn, discover that he has sword replicas on his wall. The swords are obviously European, two of them are shorter, arming ones, and the one in the middle is a longsword with a hand and a half grip. All three have round pommels, downturned cross-guards, and the general shape most reminiscent of very Late Middle Ages (I would hazard at a guess and place them around second half of the 15th century). I wish we could have seen Shen Wei fighting with one of those at some point, because they would be wielded in ways very different from his own blade, but alas. The shield, by the way, has no business being hung together with those swords: it’s not only from a wrong era, it’s from a different part of the world entirely; my guess is that it’s a replica of a shield from the Tang dynasty.
Tumblr media
Shen Wei senses Zhao Yunlan hiding on the balcony, and bites back a smile. Anyone else would be less happy to find out that their privacy being violated, but he is endeared at is the same way Yunlan was endeared at Shen Wei’s cunning during the prior episode.
After getting back to Zhao Yunlan’s own flat (possibly by waiting for Shen Wei to pretend to fall sleep), Da Qing and Zhao Yunlan move on to step two: contacting the Underground Regent about Shen Wei. Which is not as important a tidbit as finding out that Zhao Yunlan owns a swing.
Tumblr media
Then, they move in to step three: the banner.
Tumblr media
According to this article, it’s 锦旗, a traditional gift of gratitude. It’s addressed to “Dragon City University, Professor Shen Wei”, but is singed by “Zhao Yunlan”, without mentioning of SID or his position therein, implying that the gift is personal. The message reads “Helping people [is] helping oneself” and “conscience of the industry”. It’s extremely over the top, which both Shen Wei and Chu Shuzhi, tasked with delivering the banner, are aware of.
Shen Wei looks between tentatively amused and politely mortified.
Tumblr media
Chu Shuzhi looks like holding this banner is the most excruciating torture he ever had to endure.
Tumblr media
The banner, of course, has a hidden camera in it, so that Zhao Yunlan has a 24/7 feed from Shen Wei’s office. As he and Da Qing are watching the gift being hung, Da Qing is teasing Yunlan with Hei Pao Shi, who is surely the wrong man to tease him about.
In the next scene, Zhao Yunlan is at Shen Wei’s workplace again, and we discover from Shen Wei’s unpleasant boss that Li Qian has dropped out after her ordeal with the Longevity Dial.
Tumblr media
From the way this is written and shot, I would surmise that Zhao Yunlan does not spring on the professor in a middle of an uncomfortable conversation, but rather has spent some time with him prior to it, volunteering to be moral support. He continues being a good friend by asking Shen Wei why he feels like he has to shoulder all of the world’s weight: it’s surprisingly insightful into a large part of Shen Wei’s personality.
Tumblr media
There is little narrative reason for them to have this meeting, so I am choosing to believe that dropping in on Shen Wei randomly during lunch time is a habit Zhao Yunlan has started to form.
Finally, before the episode ends, we are privy to Shen Wei being the most polite, level-headed mugging victim. He hands the muggers his watch and money willingly, waiting for Zhao Yunlan, who is obviously stalking him, to show up and save the day. The muggers, enraged by his cool attitude, decide to shake him up, and, in the last seconds of this episode, the Pendant of Pining appears in shot for the first time.
Tumblr media
Next up, episode 7: No, Shen Wei, It Wasn’t The Bears
------
Just a quick note to say that I’ll keep those recaps going, but I will have to slow down the pace at which I’m churning them out to one every three to four days. There are some real life things I’ve been neglecting last few weeks that I need to spend my time on; and I’ve also started a new show (Sound of Providence, not Word of Honour - my watching priorities currently lie with Zhu Yilong being awesome). So, if I’m quiet here for a few days, I’m not gone, just a bit busy.
ETA. Realised that I made a booboo when translating the banner. Fixed that now.

All Along (Theo x MC)
All Along (Theo x MC) Chapter: 1/2
IkemenVampire
Warnings: No real warnings for this one besides a brief mention of vomit at the end, and a very frustrated Theo.
The pub was crowded and loud, but that didn’t stop Theo’s ability to hear her twinkling laugh over the raucous voices of the crowds. Posted at a table in the corner with his partner in crime Arthur, Theo was trying to ignore the overly sweet perfume of the two women hanging off of Arthur. He had no interest in the town harlots, despite having hooked up with the redhead in the past. Instead, all his attention was focused on a certain flush faced clumsy housekeeper who his dear brother Vincent casually had his arm thrown around as their heads brushed against each other’s during some private conversation. He snarled at the glass in his hand before slamming back the contents, the ice clinking against his teeth as he drained it. Always observant, Arthur’s eyebrows shot up at his friend’s display. Though Theo was a bit rough around the edges, he usually was not someone who was prone to public displays of anger. He searched the bar with his eyes to discover the source of his mate’s frustration, and once his eyes landed on a certain lady laughing freely with Theo’s older brother, he understood perfectly what was going on. Their darling resident and housekeeper _______had decided 2 days ago that instead of returning to her own time, she would stay here with the inhabitants of what she playfully dubbed “The Vampire House''. She claimed she had grown too attached to all of them, and the time period to leave. As a result, Arthur had insisted on taking her out to celebrate with himself, Vincent, and Theo. Of course, Theo had made it a point to state he couldn’t care less if she stayed or left, but Arthur knew his friend too well to believe him. His being at the pub was enough to show that. Arthur bit back a chuckle as he noticed that anytime she laughed or moved, Theo’s eyes were glued to her. He could lie as much to himself as he wanted to, but Arthur knew better.
“Dear ladies, if you would be so kind as to excuse me, and my mate here. I believe we need to refill our cups, and join the residents of our happy home,” he stated to the pouting ladies. Truth be told, he was growing weary of these two particular birds anyway. Instead, he had been eyeing a rather cute barmaid with very short hair and glasses who was keeping to herself in the corner of the bar cleaning the same pristine mug, almost ignoring the boisterous crowd.
Making sure to bow and kiss each of their cheeks to soothe any hurt feelings, he clapped Theo on the back, and practically dragged him along to the bar, and placed another drink order with the gruff man behind the counter, shooting a wink to the barmaid who rolled her eyes and made it a point to turn her back to him in response. He smiled lazily at her antics. What a stubborn cutie. As they waited, he let his eyes casually drift over to the merry party.
“She’s really wormed her way into all of their hearts, hasn’t she?” he asked. Theo didn’t respond. Arthur tried to keep his voice as nonchalant as possible.
Though I’m glad she decided to stay, I can’t help but believe she stayed behind for someone. What say you, mate?” Theo finally rose to the bait. He turned on Arthur with a snarl.
“What the hell does it matter to me that she and Vincent have decided to couple up? If he wants a filthy mutt, then that’s on him. It’s none of my concern.” Arthur held back the exasperated chuckle that threatened to come out of his throat.
“You really believe she’s staying for him?” he asked in disbelief.
“Well it sure as hell ain’t me,” Theo growled out. “The little idiot’s petrified of me.”
The words burned in Theo’s mouth, but he forced them out. It was the truth, anyway. She had been afraid of him since day one. Whenever he had spoken to her, she would look everywhere else but at him. When he had encountered her in a room alone, she would wring her hands like a cornered animal. Any jokes, or teasing he made were met with wide eyes, and stuttering. So he had decided to leave her alone. Even though just watching her go about her day was enough to cause his heart to clench up. Or listening to her hum and laugh made his day all the less dreary. She had captured his heart before he had even known he had one. Ignoring the pang in his heart, he tapped his fingers impatiently on the counter. Arthur took mercy on his friend, but he couldn’t help but let out a sigh. When would Theo learn? Instead, when the bartender brought the drinks, he scooped Theo’s up before he could grab it.
“What the hell, Arthur?”
“Now, now Theo. We need to join our friends. You may be in a foul mood, but I think they would appreciate our company.”
Ignoring his protests, Arthur strolled over to the table, and smiled at the greetings. Plopping in the seat next to Vincent, he placed Theo’s drink across the table, and let out a chuckle at his friend’s scowl. He grabbed his drink up and downed it, loving the burn that seared down his throat. It was almost torture for Theo to be seated across from her, and not look into her smiling face. His foot brushed against hers, and he saw her jump. He caught her eye for a second before she looked down at her empty glass.
“Everything ok, pet?” Arthur asked. Theo held back his jealousy. She wasn’t Arthur’s pet. She was his Hondje.  He held back his eye roll as she flashed Arthur one of her beautiful smiles.
“Nothing, Arthur. My cup’s just empty. I’ll go get another.”
“I’ll come with you,” said Vincent, already standing up. She flashed him a grateful smile, as they made their way up to the bar, Theo’s chest humming with envy.
It was about an hour later, and it was clear that _________ had finally reached her limit. Her mouth seemed stuck in a perpetual smile, and her words were slightly slurred. Her laugh had become louder, and at one point, her head had dropped to Vincent’s shoulder. Theo felt the snarl coming to his face, almost bit through his lip to hold it back. He had never felt more sure of their relationship than he was in the moment. He pushed down the sadness that threatened him, and abruptly stood up. He missed the glance between Arthur and Vincent, however.
“That’s a right idea, mate. I’m sure we would all appreciate you getting her home safely,” he said.
Theo turned to him, flabbergasted. “I’m not taking her home! Why can’t you or Vincent?”
Arthur clucked his teeth. “‘Fraid not, dear. Vincent here promised me a night out, and I intend to keep him on that. Plus, I want to try my luck with that icy barmaid. It’s been a while since I saw…such delicious fresh blood around here. Besides, you seem to be on your way out anyway.”
Theo turned to Vincent for help, but quickly lost hope. His brother was looking up at him with his bright eyes, and that pleading smile he knew he couldn’t say no to. Knowing he was defeated, he let out a sigh.
“You have 5 minutes to get her outside. I’ll be there waiting.” Without waiting for an answer, he stormed outside. In truth, his heart was pounding, and the cold wind felt amazing on his hot face. He thought about flagging down a carriage, but quickly ditched the idea. The rolling motion may upset the little idiot’s stomach. It had nothing to do with the fact he didn’t know how he would react to being in an intimate space with her. Especially now that she was his brother’s. So he would play the polite gentleman whom his brother had entrusted with his beloved. He heard rather than saw ________ exit the front of the door. Trying to nonchalantly turn to see her, he grit his teeth at the intimate picture she completed with Vincent. The lanterns from the entrance seemed to weave themselves through her hair, and light her eyes on fire. Vincent was whispering something to her that must have upset her because she began to gnaw at her fingernail in a blatant display of uncertainty. Unable to help himself, Theo felt a fond feeling swept through his heart even if it was flavored heavily with bitterness at the pretty picture the two people he loved most in the world made together. He supposed if he knew of anyone who was worthy of Hondje, it was Vincent. The sweet man would dote on her, and treat her like the princess she was. Someone like Theo was too gruff; too rough to know how to handle something as precious as spun glass. Even as he told himself this, he couldn’t stop the lifting of his lip to bare a single fang as if that would chase Vincent away. He was instantly filled with shame, and turned his face away, not wanting to be caught prying into a clearly intimate moment.  In a second, he heard the clacking sound of her low heeled boots as she raced towards him. The smell of her sweat hitting Theo’s sensitive nose made his head swim. He desperately wanted to get close enough to try and lick up her neck, to taste the skin that held back her distracting pulse. She came up beside him, and after throwing one last glance back at Vincent finally turning to him.
“Thanks for taking me home, Theo. I know you probably wanted to stay out with Vincent and Arthur. Sorry to inconvenience you.” She mumbled it all out without once glancing at his face. Instead, it felt like she was going to burn a hole through the lining of his jacket. Theo waved a hand at her apology.
“If you were that concerned with it Hondje, you wouldn’t have gotten drunk. Let’s go home before it gets cold out.” Without waiting for a response, Theo turned and began walking. And if he walked at a slower pace to make sure she could keep up, well he wouldn’t admit it. It wasn’t long, however, before he could tell she wasn’t doing too well with the walking. Feeling irritation with his stubbornness about renting a carriage, he stopped walking to glance around. Due to the late hour, he didn’t see any unoccupied carriages. he cursed underneath his breath, and felt __________ sway by his side.
“Theo? Is everything ok?” Her sweet voice washed over him, and he felt the urge to ask her to say his name again. He turned around, his back to her.
“You’re walking too slow,” he grumbled as he squatted down.  She still hesitated, staring at him with those wide, wide eyes.
“Are you sure I won’t be too heavy?” she asked. When he let out a growl in response, she let out a chuckle before almost indulgently grasping around his shoulders. Theo felt himself almost shudder at the feel of her body against his back. The feel of her breasts pressed against him. He grabbed her thighs and brought her legs around his waist, making sure she was still properly covered by her dress. He knew he was being too protective, but the thought of anyone getting a glance at her shapely legs made him clinch his jaw. Unable to stop the shaking of his hands, he prayed she was too drunk to feel it. Those prayers must have been answered because instead of commenting, she just murmured something too low for him to hear and gripped around him closer. Theo began walking faster than necessary. He was sure he was jarring her, but if he had to continue to walk with her scent swirling around him like this any longer, he was bound to lose it. She didn’t seem to mind his pace, however. In fact, it seemed to be lulling her into a relaxed state. She nuzzled into his neck sleepily. Theo didn’t even have to look at her to know that her eyes would be closed as well. He was constantly impressed by her ability to sleep anywhere, and he couldn’t smother down the surge of emotion he felt at her display of trust. He had meant what he said to Arthur earlier; she never seemed to be at peace around him. So for her to sleep like this must be due to the alcohol. Still, Theo would convince himself otherwise, if just for tonight. Before he knew it, her soft snores brushed against his ear. Theo almost let out a sigh of disappointment when he saw the front of the mansion. Not sure how to go about grabbing his key without setting her down, he leaned forward so most of her weight was on top of him. Unable to reach his own pockets, he fumbled with her skirt, trying his hardest not to touch her too much. Still, just the fact that he was touching her skirt and petticoats got his heart racing. Mercifully, he was able to get her key out and the front door opened. Shifting her around again, he went back to carrying her on his back and made his way to her bedroom. The lamps were turned down low in the hallways, and he could hear the soft sound of piano music drifting through the silence. Any other time he would pause to appreciate Mozart’s playing, but right now he was a man on a mission. ________ began to stir and wake up, so he murmured nonsensical soothing words. Belatedly, he realized she was already awake.
“Theo? Where are we?” She squirmed on his back, and he stopped with a sigh to let her down. He tried to put on an air of annoyance, but her sleepy countenance ruined it quickly for him. Her eyes seemed so heavy lidded with sleepiness, and her yawns were cute. He wanted to ruffle her hair like always. He wanted to pull her into his arms and pepper her face with kisses until she rested against him and fell back asleep. He made a disapproving sound in his throat, more at himself than at her.
“Bout time you woke up Hondje. Didn’t know I was a delivery service.” Her embarrassed apology fell on deaf ears as he continued to guide her down the hallway. They had reached her room, and he was reluctant to enter. But he was even more reluctant to not make sure she was resting in bed with how wobbly her steps were. So against his better judgement, he opened her door and shoved her inside. He closed the door behind them, and turned on the small lamp on her vanity. The room was painted in soft lights. She stood in the middle of the room where he led her, swaying back and forth gently as if on a boat. Theo felt a grudge against Arthur growing. Where did he get off letting Hondje drink so much? Just because he was a lush didn't mean he had to turn a mere pup into one. He folded down her comforter and fluffed up her pillow. The bed smelt wholly of her and the rose water perfume she washed her clothing in. Theo rubbed his nose, as if to remove the scent that was binding his senses.  First things first, he would get her in bed. Then he would bang his head against a wall until he stopped lusting over his brother's girlfriend.
“Hey pup, come over here,” he called. She did so with a docile and sweet expression on her face, and he fought the urge to tell her ‘good girl’ with a head pat. To occupy his hands and resist temptation, he made her sit down on her bed, and began working on unlacing her ankle boots for her. He was able to get one off before she started twisting.
“Oi, what the hell are you doing?” he snapped before looking up. He let out a strangled choke. ________ was in the process of trying to remove her top. She had managed to get all of the buttons undone on her blouse before he grabbed her to try and stop her. Her white chemise and corset were visible, and it took all of his self control to direct his eyes away.
“What are you doing?” he repeated, at a loss for words.
“It’s hot, Theo,” she complained. She gave up on her top since he was gripping her shoulders, so she tried to reach behind her to get to the hooks of her skirt. It was true that it was warm in her room. Her forehead glistened with the fine sheen of sweat.
“Alright, alright. I’ll figure something out. Just, just sit down and stop stripping, for god’s sake!” She pouted at him, but sat back down on her bed. He shot her one last look to make sure her hands were staying still before he opened up the large window by her bed. The soft noise of the city was carried in on a light breeze. She seemed content with that for the moment, turning her head towards it with a small smile. Theo was able to finally remove her other shoe.
“Mmmm. Theo, my stockings too please.”
Theo’s warning bells went off in his head. This was dangerous territory, and he shouldn’t venture into it. Even if the intention was innocent. What he should do was stand up, and leave.  He bit his bottom lip. ________ grew impatient with his hesitancy.
“Theo, my stockings!” she whined.
“Hondje, remind me to never let you drink again. You become quite a spoiled thing,” he fussed. The bitter thought that he would love to be the one to pamper her crossed his mind, but he stuffed it down. He would never forgive himself if he ever showed any ill will towards Vincent’s happiness. He also promised to take proper care of her tonight, as well. So he breathed deeply, and slid his hand up one trim leg to grip the stocking that just grazed the top of her knee. He pulled it down a tad faster than he should have. _______ startled and began falling forward a bit. To stop herself from falling, she draped her arms over his shoulders and made a noise of discontent.
“Theo, not so rough. My ankle!”
Theo felt instant regret. Gently removing her stocking over her foot, he examined her ankle in the low light. It felt so small and dainty in his hand. He felt a sudden urge to press a kiss to it. He set her leg down.
“It looks ok. I’ll go slower so sit still and no squirming.” She made a small “hmph” noise, but otherwise stayed still. Theo held back the smirk at her poutiness, not wanting to encourage her. He made quick but gentle work of the other stocking, unable to resist rubbing her ankles gently where her stockings had left indents. He tsk’d disapprovingly, and made a mental note to have Vincent help her pick out thinner ones. She sighed before leaning towards him.
“Theo,” she whispered. He made a small noise to let her know he was listening, still intent on her ankles.
“Theo,” she repeated, sliding herself off the bed and half on top of his lap. Theo fell backwards.
“Woah, woah Hondje. What the hell!” He knew he needed to move, but the closeness of her had caught him off guard. This wasn’t like a piggyback ride. She was almost straddling, stockingless and practically undressed.
Just push her off, Theo. Push her off and get the hell out of here. She’ll be fine.
As if reading his thoughts, her grip on him tightened, and she moved her face closer in his line of vision.
“Hey, Theo. I think I’m gonna’ be sick.”
Before Theo could even process her statement or move, she threw up down the front of his shirt and jacket.

WARNINGS: ANGST, CHEATING
Part 1 Part 2
Tumblr media
It was a warm, sunny day as Y/N, dressed in her favorite blue sundress, walked the streets of New York. She lifted her face up to the sky and smiled. It had been so long since she felt good about herself. The weather helped in getting her out of her slump but it was mostly because of her friends, Nat and Wanda, who insisted on having an impromptu girls night the night before. She decided not to tell them about her problems with Bucky as she didn’t want them to change the way they looked at him. They were a closely-knit group of college friends after all, a family. Besides, she still had no idea what to do. It was one thing to accept it in her head but her heart couldn’t seem to agree and add that to the fact that Nat would’ve probably told Clint, which wouldn’t have ended well.
So, for a night, she decided to put all her insecurities about her marriage on pause while she caught up with her friends, particularly Nat. She was the one who had insisted they go out because she had big news to tell and it turned out it was huge, she was finally pregnant! She and her husband, Bruce, had been trying for years so this was a huge deal for her. She was scared though, having gone through miscarriages in the past. The girls were quick to assure her that everything would turn out well, sure that they would be having a tiny, little redhead kicking butts in their family soon. Nat had laughed and told them it might as well be a baby who could spew equations before it could even walk. She then turned serious and made them promise not to tell anyone since she hasn’t even told Bruce yet, pointedly looking at Y/N, when she specifically mentioned the boys, Bucky, Steve and Clint. Y/N wanted to tell her that wouldn’t be a problem since she barely talked to Bucky but kept her mouth shut instead. No thinking of Bucky tonight, no thinking of Bucky tonight, she had reminded herself over and over until they fell back into reminiscing about their lives at college. It was still so mind boggling how far they’ve come from their days of drinking cheap beer from the bar across their university.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bucky had his arm wrapped around Y/N’s shoulder while his other held a bottle of beer poised at his lips, he couldn’t help the laugh that escaped him as they watched their friend, Clint, make his way up to the girl at the bar.
“He is shooting himself in the foot. He’s drunk, he wouldn’t be able to get on with her,” Wanda skeptically told the group, looking horrified.
“Oh come on, Wanda, have a little faith,” Nat tsked as she laughed, knowing the odds were against her best friend but found the situation hilarious and so she had egged him on.
“Nat, you are evil!” Y/N pitched in.
“This is really bad,” Steve said, shaking his head when Clint started making gestures of shooting an arrow in the air, then clutching his heart, probably giving out the cheesiest pick up line ever.  Bucky just shook his head and laughed.
“Did he just pretend to be shot by an arrow through the heart? Why does he always end up giving the cheesiest pick up lines when he’s drunk?” Y/N laughingly asked in disbelief.
“Well, why not, it works when I do it to you?” Bucky teased her, a spark in his eye.
“No, it really doesn’t, Buck,” Y/N denied, smiling at him indulgently. Bucky made a move as if his phone was ringing, he picked it up and pretended to be in a call while his friends continued to watch Clint make an ass of himself.
“Babe,” He suddenly looked serious as he turned at her.
“Hm?” Y/N looked back at him, dragging her attention away from the spectacle in front of them.
“Cupid just called. He told me to tell you to give me my heart back.”
“Oh my god, Bucky, I swear, that’s so bad! That’s the worst you’ve ever said,” Y/N cringed and jokingly moved his face away from hers. Steve chuckled from his place while Nat and Wanda cringed in disbelief.
“Wow, you’re worse than Clint,” Wanda interjected, taking a sip from her beer, while Bucky ignored her.
“Ugh, I love that laugh! You know the only thing I wanna change about you?” Bucky asked again.
“What?” Y/N replied on a long sigh, knowing it would be best to just ride this out.
“Your last name,” Bucky replied, looking a little more serious as he stared into her eyes. He swore he only said it as a joke but as he thought on it, he knew it deep in his gut. This was the girl he was going to marry. He looked at her softly, letting out a breath, a gentle smile playing on his lips. Y/N tried to look indignant and scoffed it off to keep their banter light but the look in his eyes sent a flush running from her neck to her face. She shook her head softly, the corners of her mouth tilting up before she leaned in and kissed him, putting a hand behind his neck to drag him down, Bucky’s hands settling on her waist, pulling her closer. Someone in the table wolf-whistled and they broke off with a laugh.
“Well, I’m gonna go get Clint, I actually feel bad for that girl,” Nat had said before giving a wink to the couple and strutting out of the table.
“I’m gonna get a beer, you guys want some?” Wanda chimed in after finishing the last drops from her glass.
“I’ll go with you,” Y/N said, giving a kiss to Bucky’s cheek, before standing up herself.
Steve looked at Bucky, a knowing smile on his face, this was the happiest he’s seen his best friend.
“Your pick-up lines work huh?” He teased.
“I’m gonna marry that girl, Steve,” Bucky said as he watched her link her arms with Wanda at the bar, a smile cracking up her face when she looked back at him.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Well, someone’s in a good mood,” Someone from her right told her when she reached Lizzie’s school with five minutes to spare until the little rascal was released.
“Tony! How are you?” She said, giving him a hug, surprised to see him here.
“Good, good. You know, same old, the missus bossing me around to leave my lab every once in a while to run her errands,” he raised the grocery bag he was holding to show her. It was incredibly sweet how they choose to run their household themselves, when they could probably have servants at their disposal.
“Figured I could pick Morgan up since I’m already out,”
“Aww, that’s sweet. You know, Lizzie’s been bugging me about this camping trip with Morgan?”
“Oh right that! Didn’t I message you about it? I’m bringing the family out camping the next weekend. Lizzie should come! That’s all Morgan ever really talks about,”
Y/N was a bit starstruck at how she’s literally brushing elbows with the Starks and how big of a deal it was that she was hand picked by Tony to cater for his beloved daughter’s birthday. One look at that man and anyone would know he was clearly smitten by her.
“Well, that sounds like fun! And thanks for inviting Lizzie but I’ll have to think about it. She’s never really had a sleepover yet, and she’ll have to ask her dad too,” Y/N couldn’t imagine letting Lizzie out of her sight for a weekend, she didn’t think she’d be able to sleep out of worry, god, why did they have to grow up so fast?
“Shit!” came a little girl’s voice and they both turned around to see Morgan and Lizzie running up to them.
“Shit, she remembers,” Tony muttered under his breath as Y/N tried to hide her giggle. She bent down to give her daughter a kiss on the cheek while Lizzie automatically held her hand.
“What did I tell you about saying that word?” Tony immediately asked his daughter, picking her up with a kiss to the cheek.
“To say it came from Mommy,” Tony’s eyes bulged out as Morgan smiled at him proudly for remembering what he probably said as a joke.
“You’re too smart for your own good, squirt. But don’t say that word again, or Mommy will have our heads? Okay?” Morgan nodded cheerfully and waved at Y/N, “Hi Y/N!” She wiggled herself off her dad’s arms and linked her hands to Lizzie’s, who was still shyly staring at Tony, not knowing what to do.
“Lizzie, that’s my daddy!” Morgan enthusiastically said as she pointed at her dad.
“Hello, Lizzie I’m Tony, it’s nice to finally meet you,” Tony knelt down and offered his hand to her. She eagerly nodded her head and shook his hand.
“Daddy, that’s my best friend Lizzie!” Morgan chimed in.
“I know, sweetie, you never stop talking about her,” which made Lizzie lose her shyness and let out a giggle.
“You said I was gonna meet your daddy too but now you met mine first!” Morgan told Lizzie and Y/N felt her back stiffen at that. Had Lizzie been excitedly waiting to show off her dad to her friends, only to have him not show up?
“But you met Uncle Steve! He’s the coolest,”
Morgan eagerly agreed with a resounding “Yes!” And the two fell into conversation of just how awesome uncle Steve was with Lizzie taking the lead and Morgan brightly agreeing to every word she said. Y/N wondered how Steve could’ve even managed to charm Morgan, from their probably brief encounter when he picked Lizzie up. She chalked it up to just Steve being Steve, he probably charmed the pants off anybody, no matter the age.
“Now even I wanna meet Prince Charming,” Tony chimed in to Y/N and she just shook her head and laughed, still watching the girls’ animated conversation.
“Squirt, we gotta get going. What do you say, let’s get some ice cream and bring it to mom?” Tony picked up the bouncing Morgan after she gave her best friend a hug goodbye. She chatted about what flavors to get as they all waved at each other and parted ways.
“Bye, Tony!” Lizzie waved back at them when Y/N led her away.
“Bye Liz, it was nice to meet you, kid! Y/N text you about the camping trip! Think about it!” Tony waved back.
“Will do!” Y/N shouted over her shoulder with a smile.
“Mommy, could I please go? Please!” Lizzie turned to her with the cutest puppy dog eyes she’s ever seen. Her hands clasped under her chin, begging.
“Baby, you gotta ask your dad,”
“Oh! Can we get ice cream with daddy?” Lizzie bounced up and down as inspiration struck her.
Y/N tried not to look uncomfortable, she was scared to let her daughter down but odds are he wouldn’t pick up if he saw her name flashing on the screen.
“I don’t know, daddy’s working, Lizzie. But we could get ice cream if you want.”
“Please, Mommy! Can I call daddy?” Lizzie begged and there was nothing Y/N could do but to relent.
“Lizzie, he might be busy okay?” She tried to dissuade her as she eagerly grabbed the phone from her mom as soon as the ringing started, her smile not faltering when no one answered on the other line. She extended the phone back, asking her mom to call again which she reluctantly did. After the second call ended, Lizzie looked up to her mom with the sweet smile still on her face, completely oblivious, and simply just said, “Oh daddy’s busy, can we call Uncle Steve instead?”
“We might disturb him, baby, he’s at work,”
“Please, mommy, just one call,” Y/N still couldn’t say no to her face and she quickly switched the call to Steve.
“Y/N, what’s up?” She heard Steve answer after the third ring.
“Uncle Steve!” Lizzie beamed at the phone.
“Oh hey there, Lizzie!”
“Do you wanna have ice cream?” she immediately asked, looking to Y/N excitedly.
“Oh sweetie, I’m still at work. How about some other time? I could bring you your favorite,” Steve suggested apologetically.
“Awww, how about daddy? Is he there?” Lizzie asked hopefully.
“Uhm, I’m not sure, he’s probably at his office. Why don’t you ask Mommy to give him a call?”
“I already did, he didn’t answer. How about Sam? Can I talk to Sam?” Lizzie asked again, clearly intending to get out of her routine of just going home or to the bakery with her mom. She hasn’t been spending much time with Bucky lately too, and Y/N could see it take a toll on her like today.
“Baby, why don’t we just get ice cream at home, or go to the bakery? Peter’s there, you like Peter,” Y/N suggested cheerfully. Peter worked as a part-time server at the bakery, he’s a good kid, smart too, and always playful and nice to Lizzie.
“But I always see Peter, I wanna see daddy, mommy! or Uncle Steve or Sam, or maybe Aunt Nat and Aunt Wanda?”
“Are you with them too Uncle Steve?” Lizzie asked hopefully again, excitement in her eyes.
“No, sweetie I’m not, but Sam is here,” Steve answered, clearly preoccupied as he shuffled papers on his desk.
“But I’ll tell you what, I could take a little break. How about you and your mommy come and visit the office? I’ll have my secretary get you your favorite ice cream, which is it again? Pistachio isn’t it?” He asked teasingly.
“Ew! Uncle Steve, no! It’s strawberry, silly!” She giggled into the phone, falling into his trap.
“Oohh, right right, sorry Uncle Steve’s getting old, bad memory!” to which Lizzie laughed at again.
“You’re not old, that would make daddy old too! You just sound old, is all,” she reassured him, trying to make her uncle feel better.
“Oh now now, little lady, I do not,” Steve replied seriously.
“Hmm, maybe just like a hundred years old, not so old,” Lizzie replied, dead serious, clearly still trying to reassure him. Steve’s booming laughter could be heard from the phone and Y/N laughed, shaking her head. Kids and their concept with numbers! When Steve finally settled down, she could hear him ask to talk to her.
“Hey Steve, you know if you’re busy, we don’t have to go there,” she tried to say it as softly as possible so as not to alarm Lizzie, but she wanted to give Steve an out if he only felt obligated to have them.
“Huh, no, come here, it’s no problem! Lord knows, I could use a break too, uhm, so I should call Bucky, and tell him you guys are on your way, he’s probably just buried in work or out getting coffee,” Y/N felt herself immediately tense up. How weird was it that they were going to her husband’s office but only to meet up with his best friend, and they might not even see him or ever know where the hell he was? Did Steve not really know what was up with him or was he just telling her that to spare her feelings?
“Uh huh, yeah probably, so you sure we could pass by?” Y/N answered him dismissively.
“Of course, how could I say no to my favorite niece?”
“Alright, thanks, about to get into a cab, see ya!” Y/N said, opening the door, to the cab she just hailed.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Uncle Steve, what do you do?” Lizzie asked, seated across from Steve at his desk, as she drew on the paper he had provided her.
“Well, hmm, I usually go out and talk to clients, and meet all sorts of people, trying to get them to know about us,” He said in the simplest way he could probably describe what a managing director does in the biggest investment banking in the world but before Lizzie could reply, a knock sounded at the door.
“Chocolate chip, vanilla and strawberry ice cream coming right up,” A very friendly looking man excitedly said as he held a big grocery bag of ice cream with one hand and a bunch of teaspoons in another.
“Thanks, Scott, you could put them on the desk,” Steve said.
“Wow, that’s a gallon of everything, are you making the whole floor eat ice cream with you?” Y/N asked teasingly.
“Well I, ah, I just didn’t want you guys to run out of anything,” Scott said awkwardly as he smiled at Steve in awe, clearly wanting his approval.
“Uh, Thanks Scott,” Steve replied uncomfortably.
“Oh! I should get you guys some bowls,” Scott scrambled before turning around to face Y/N,
“And may I just say it’s nice to finally meet Cap’s lovely wife and daughter, beautiful family, ma’am, that’s what I call him here, Captain,” he rolled his eyes at his own joke while still shaking Y/N’s hand. Y/N and Steve tried to intervene but the guy would just not stop talking.
“He basically runs this place here, the best managing director I have ever worked with, and his advice on starting my own business is always so so great-”
“We’re not together.” Y/N cut him off sheepishly, catching her tongue before she mumbled an apology for not being Steve’s wife, he just seemed so excited. She hated having to let him down, even though her cheeks turned beet red from embarrassment.
“Oh,” he said, finally realizing to stop shaking her hand, “Sorry! I shook your hand for too long, didn’t I?”
“It’s alright,” Y/N replied laughingly while Steve cleared his throat trying to hide a chuckle and Lizzie giggled at her seat.
“Actually Scott, that’s Y/N, Bucky’s wife,” Scott’s eyes bulged out as he blushed, probably remembering how he had deemed Steve the best in the company. “And that is his adorable daughter, Lizzie,” Steve pointed at Lizzie and gave her a wink.
“You’re funny, Mr. Scott,” Lizzie said from her seat, still giggling, but just then someone entered the room.
“Where’s my favorite girl?” Sam’s voice sounded from the doorway.
“Sam!” Lizzie squealed as she leaped up in his arms.
“Now, tell me you didn’t finish all that ice cream,”
“Oh, right the bowls! I’ll be right back,” Scott immediately left as Sam turned to greet Y/N, putting Lizzie down.
“Where’s Bucky?” He asked, looking around. Hell if I know, Y/N thought to herself.
“Is daddy here?” Lizzie asked, running back to take her seat at the desk, getting ready to have her ice cream.
“He wasn’t with you? Texted him too, he’s probably on his way,” Steve reassured everyone. Scott came back with the bowls and some serving spoons and told everyone to enjoy. They all fell into conversation as soon as they’ve gotten their shares.
“Oh, look Clint just texted me, Laura gave birth to a baby boy!” Steve said holding his phone out to show them.
“Oh, he’s beautiful,” Y/N said, happy for her friends.
“Nathaniel, Nat finally got him to name a kid after her huh,” Sam said, impressed.
“Can you believe Clint with four children! I would’ve thought that would be you, Steve! And Bucky’s even beaten you up to it,” Y/N playfully swatted Steve’s arm as he just rolled his eyes.
“Why, how was Clint back then?” Sam asked.
“Like you wouldn’t believe! He was the most reckless ladies man, had a different girl every other week,”
“His baby’s wrinkly,” Lizzie said as she peered at the phone which made them all laugh.
As soon as Bucky read Steve’s texts, he rushed back to his office and caught them all laughing at something on Steve’s phone. He immediately noticed how Lizzie clung to his arm while Y/N stood right beside them with Sam on his other side. He suddenly felt a pang of jealousy hit him as they should’ve all been at his office instead of here. He felt awkward, like he was the one intruding, when it was his family right there.
He strode in and tried to act as charming and casual as possible, “So what did I miss?”
“Daddy!” Lizzie immediately ran to him and clung to his neck as he picked her up.
“Hey, princess,” He said, giving her a kiss on the cheek. Y/N moved back from Steve, her smile immediately leaving her face.
“Hey, sorry I missed your calls,” He told her as he bent down to give her a kiss.
“It’s fine, it was Lizzie,”
“It’s okay, daddy,” Lizzie just said, tightening her hold on his neck as he settled her on his hip.
“So, do you still have some ice cream left for daddy?” He asked her sweetly and Y/N immediately felt it straight through her heart. She watched as his eyes crinkled while he joked with their daughter, his smile still managing to make her heart skip a beat. There was no one else like Bucky Barnes for her. That man had her wrapped around his fingers, giving him the all the power to make her happy or break her heart.
“Uncle Clint has a new baby, it’s still kinda wrinkly,” Lizzie told him and he threw his head back and laughed.
“Hey, I remember your dad showing me a picture of you and you were exactly like that too!”
Sam teased.
“No, I wasn’t! Daddy, tell him!”
“No you weren’t, don’t listen to him, cute as a button, just like mommy,” Bucky reassured her as he booped her nose, and Y/N blushed, looking away. God, she hated that he could still make her blush after everything. Bucky saw this and he smirked, he loved those blushes, no matter what, she always still felt awkward at being complimented. He never understood why and always teased her about it. He figured someone like her should’ve been used to them but no, not his Y/N. He watched her for a moment as Sam and Lizzie kept on teasing each other while Steve chuckled on their antics. God, he loved her. He wished he could tell her and be like how they were before but something’s shifted between them. It was as if, if one stepped forward, the other stepped back. He made a huge mistake and if he were being honest, he still kept making that mistake but he never fell out of love for her. Now, there was an ocean of uncertainty that drowned them both and the worst part was he’d been denying it to himself. Denying that it all started that one fateful day, he came face to face with the man he promised to never lay his eyes on again. He adamantly refused to believe he had been affected that much by the encounter then the next thing he knew, he had spiraled and didn’t know how to swim back up. He had a feeling he was losing her which he’d never felt the whole time they were together and it scared him, scared him to his very bones.
“Daddy, what do you do?”
“Huh?” Bucky snapped out of his reverie at Lizzie’s question.
“You and Uncle Steve do the same thing here?” She asked and gestured around the office.
“Yeah, pretty much, and Sam too,”
“Oh!” She said, clapping her hands, as if having just solved a problem.
“Uncle Steve, you’re like daddy! You could go for career day and dress in that, and then tell us all the stuff you do,” she beamed proudly, not noticing how her dad’s arms tensed around her, Y/N looked down to her shoes while Sam pretended to scoop out the rest of his ice cream. Steve just opened and closed his mouth, not knowing what to say.
“Baby, someone has to stay here and work while daddy goes with you,” Y/N broke the awkwardness and talked to her encouragingly.
“Why didn’t you ask me, Lizzie?” Bucky looked to his daughter with a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes.
“Because you’re always busy,” She said, playing with his tie.
He caught her eye as he told her, “No I won’t be, love, I’ll go with you,”
“Really?” Lizzie asked incredulously.
“Really. Now, what do you say, we’ll take the rest of the day off and go home?”
Lizzie immediately agreed and excitedly waved her goodbyes to Steve and Sam. Y/N felt herself drift into a daze while she followed them out the door. He was going home early? He wanted to spend time with them? What was going on? Was he finally ready to be a family again? As soon as that question hit her, she realized how long it’s been since they hung out like this. She looked to Bucky and he smiled at her as they exited the building, with their daughter still clinging to his neck.
“I have to go to the bakery,” She blurted out suddenly. Bucky looked at her, confused, ready to convince her to come with them instead. Even Lizzie whined from her perch on her dad’s arm.
“I’m sorry, I just, I gotta go, I’ll come home before dinner. I promise,” she kissed Lizzie’s cheek and left.
Bucky watched helplessly as she walked away, her dress flowing in her wake. She had fled. The one time he had the courage to do the right thing, she had fled with not even a look back, not even bothering to hail a cab and he knew her so well, he knew what that meant. Every time she paced or took long walks, she needed to think. He swallowed a lump in his throat as a breath caught in his chest, was he too late?
