How do you feel about the Entrati family?
Assuming you mean what's left of them on Deimos? My feelings are mixed. I feel for them, I do, however they're very... Orokin, and it shows.
I have a particular fondness for Kaelli, seeing her growing attachment to Kahl and the Garrison tells me she has potential for growth as a person. Though, I have a hard time believing all of her prejudice just evaporated. It's never that clean or simple. I don't dislike Grandmother, or Dagath, either. Her care for her family, the Vent Kids, and disdain for Anyo go a long way. It makes her more distinctly... Human, than Orokin. Her family can stand to learn from her, particularly Gomaitru even if through marriage, who I have nothing but disdain for. Kermerros is dangerous. While his curiosity and care for the wildlife of Deimos is admirable, he is still impulsive. He is the kind of scientist that would open Pandora's Box to see what happens. Vilcor... I feel bad for him, pure and simple. He deserved, and deserves better. I'm happy he at least seems amicable with his children now, but his wife? Gomaitru is everything wrong with the Orokin in one woman. I've spoken enough about Gomaitru. The hag could drop dead for all I care.
And, then we move on to Albrecht. It's hard for me to draw a solid conclusion, as I only know so much about him. There is a very mixed bag from everything I've unearthed so far. Though, he reminds me of Icarus. Just instead of the sun... We have that asshole in the walls.

Aug-UST Day 28 - How To Love the Monstrous
Another one from the August prompt list by @thepromptfoundry. I'm kinda cheating a little bit and jumping ahead a couple days, mostly because I've been totally swamped and haven't had time to write and this one in particular got stuck in my head and I wanted to take advantage of the creative energy while I could.
I do love queer fairy tale retellings and I've had a Beauty & the Beast idea rattling around in my head for a while (I need to actually write this for real at some point)
---
Anabel walked stiffly toward the throne, ignoring the finery around her. She was too tired to be intimidated any more. All she wanted was to hear the final task and be done with these fae games.
The veiled figure of Calysta was notably absent and a sliver of dread wormed its way through Anabel's core.
Three tasks. That is what the queen had said. That was how all these stories went, three impossible tasks and the heroine would receive her heart's desire.
She came to a halt before the queen and stood proudly and defiantly, even as her knees and back protested.
The queen gestured and three women emerged from an alcove behind the throne.
They were human. They were beautiful, the sort of woman that Anabel had dreamt of in her most private moments as a young girl. Each of the women was bedecked in the finest fabrics of the boldest colors, laden with more gold and silver and jewels than she had ever seen in her life.
"Choose," the queen said simply.
"What?" she replied in confusion.
The queen regarded her as she would an insect.
"You must choose," she repeated. "Which of these women is the love you seek."
Anabel turned back to examine them and her heart sank anew. It was indeed another impossible task. Anabel had never actually seen Calysta's human face. Any one of these women could be the princess from the town and faded portrait at the castle. Any one of them could be the veiled figure that silently bore witness to the previous two impossible tasks.
Worse, the women all bore the same proud, impassive expressions, eyes slightly unfocused. Anabel had read enough stories to know of enchanted sleeps and trials of silence. Calysta would be either unable or unwilling to give herself away.
Her heart beat harder and harder. She was old enough to know the heart could be deceived, but a small part of her, the little girl who had never stopped believing in fairy stories despaired. How could she not recognize her true love?
Was it the woman on the left? The bright green eyes might have been a match for the golden eyes of her beast.
Or possibly the one on the left? The one in layers of red and pink silk? She was tall and powerfully built... though not nearly as powerful as the Calysta she knew.
Hadn't Calysta mentioned that she had always hated pink? Perhaps the woman in the middle? Calysta certainly would have picked a gown in a rich green the color of the forest that perfectly contrasted with dark skin... Not that Calysta likely had any say her choice of wardrobe.
No, it was impossible to believe any of these women were the beast she had fallen in love with. She couldn't picture any of them chasing squirrels through snowy courtyards with reckless joy. She couldn't imagine any of them curling around her next to the burning hearth. She couldn't imagine...
The thought turned over in her head and she suddenly realized the answer... or rather an answer, she doubted the fae queen expected her to answer thus. It was utterly absurd, Calysta had been happy, hadn't she? That was genuine, wasn't it.
Before she could allow doubt to set in, she spoke.
"None of them."
The queen blinked in surprise.
The woman on the left, the one in the sapphire blue gown swayed slightly and gasped. With the tiniest twist of guilt, Anabel realized that she would not have guessed correctly. But then maybe the answer really was to listen to her heart.
Her heart was speaking to her now and she made a silent prayer that she was not mistaken.
"I have never met any of these women," she pressed on. "The one I love is a great beast that dwells in the forest."
The queen stared at her, unblinking, uncomprehending.
Calysta... It had to be Calysta said nothing, but she inclined her heed minutely, a silent assent to Anabel's desperate plan.
"She is mighty and powerful," Anabel continued. "Her claws are long and her teeth are sharp and she will not hesitate to use them to defend those she loves. She is wild and at times terrifying, but she can be tender. She knows how to fold back her claws so that they do not tend and she is capable of the gentlest touch. Her fur is soft and warm and she smells of pines and mountain dust... and maybe a bit like wet dog."
At this, Calysta let out a sound between a sob and a laugh, whatever enchantment that bound her fading. Maybe it was Anabel's imagination but... No, her eyes had definitely taken on a golden hue. Her teeth were certainly longer.
"She is everything to me. You ask me to claim her as a human, but that would deny something fundamental about her. You thought you cursed her so many years ago, but you only unveiled who she really was inside. Who could fall in love with a such terrible beast indeed?"
Calysta slumped to her knees, tearing at her dress as her body began to change back to its true form. Muscle rippled and fur spread. Those golden eyes fixed on Anabel, a feral mix of relief and desire and longing.
"How could I not?" Anabel finished.
Unable to bear being apart a moment longer, she rushed to Calysta's side and buried her face in the fur of her lover.

Wanderer
Summary:
She died. Her child unborn. A heart shattered. However, she is commanded to live for another. Now, she must do so while trying not to fall apart and try to survive to find her purpose.
“The boundaries between life and death are at best shadowy and vague. Who shall say were one ends and where the other begins?” – Edgar Allen Poe
Lightning stuck at the skies and the skies cried in turn. The darkness was broken by the illumination of two lights. The sound screeches tires followed by the sound of something and metal slamming on the ground. Over and over until it finally stopped, allowing silence to return back to the skies. Darkness soon engulfed the lone vehicle and the lone woman that laid dead within.
Dark brown snapped open, revealing a dark sky, slowly she sits up, looking around at the vast darkness before her.
“So I am dead… My child… Oh my child…” She began to weep as her hand quickly went to her now flat stomach. “Why were we not enough for him?”
There was no on there to answer her question as she closed her eyes once more, pulling her knees to her chest, resting her head upon her knees as she continued to weep. She weep for the life of child lost and for the fact that she was too weak to leave early on.
*Weep not, young maiden. Life will be birthed anew. Take to the wheel of life and bring forth peace upon this shattered world.* A soft male female voice called out causing her tears to slowly cease.
“Who is there? I don't want to live… Not without my baby,” She asked, her head snapping up, her voice cracking as felt tears slowly well back into her eyes. The thought of her lost child caused her being to fill up with sorrow once more.
*Thee child would not want thee to weep. Rise strong, maiden. Become the new goddess. Bring forth an age of true life. For I shall grant thee the power too. Thee will find a young god weeping for a mother. Go forth, young Calysta. Thee world and thee child call for thee!*
“Wait-" Calysta screamed out as she tried to stand only to fall backward as if some type of force was pulling her down.
She let out a scream of fear, as she fell, not know where her body was to land before she knew she landed hard onto the ground. Her vision blurry as she felt something cold and wet touch her hand. As she tried to move, her body felt extremely heavy as her eyesight began to fade once more as she noticed some kneel down and speak something she couldn't make out. She fell back into darkness once more before she knew it she awakened once more. Slowly, she managed to get to her feet, unsteadily she walked forward only stopping after a few steps when she heard herself step into water.
Calysta looked down, staring at herself in the reflection of the water, she could see that nothing really changed, her skin was still the same caramel color as it always had been, her eyes had slight bags underneath them. However, the main change she noticed instantly was that her long black hair was longer than it was previously stopping at her ankles. One other thing she noticed was that she was not wearing the clothes she had on previously instead she appeared to be in wearing white and golden armor. She also had a long piece of cloth hanging from her waist nearly touching the ground.
Upon her left side was a sword within it's sheath, hesitantly, Calysta reached over, grabbing the hilt of the sword and drew it. As soon as she pulled it free, she looked over it, while it appeared to be a normal sword, however, near the base of sword was a golden head of a bear upon it. As Calysta returned the sword back to its sheath, she looked to the right and noticed a large shield resting upon the ground. Walking over to it, she was slightly surprised to see that it was also a white shield, she could tell that it was slightly heavy as she lifted it from the ground.
She glanced closer at it, and she could see that near the top it had a pair of wings with two blue stoned near the base of the wings. Calysta also noticed the golden flame like engravings that came from the tip of the winds. After she adjusted the shield so it was strapped to her arm appropriately, Calysta began to slowly continue forward, no matter how much she wanted to just sit down, and forget everything that happened to her. She remembered what the voice had told her, so she kept going forward.
“Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming,” Calysta murmured brokenly to herself as she finally made her way forward.
Calysta looked around the damp cave, taking note of something glowing nearby as she got closer she realized that it seemed to be a extremely young tree. However, unlike the trees she was used it, she could see that it seemed to be completely golden with some type of golden aura coming from it. Calysta's attention soon deviated from the tree and toward the door that was at the top of the stairs. Slowly, she made her way up the stairs, making her way through the door, as it opened she was greeted by a long hallway that seemed to enter a large chamber filled with pillars.
As she walked down the hall, she noticed a glowing gem like object that was in the center of the hall. She reached out touching it when she suddenly felt a warm sensation that was similar to the feeling of the suns rays gracing her skin engulf her body.
(This is a work in progress. Please let me know if I should continue this. Hope you enjoyed.)

Have you ever seen a demon cry? | Lisa x Female Reader | Chapter 7
The Gottfried Curse
July 7, 1989
By Jacqueline Brookmeyer
After nearly one hundred calamity-free years, a fire ravaged the forest surrounding Gottfried, the college located near Attica Falls. The college is known not only for its stringent classical academics, but for its proclivity for disaster. Since its founding in 1735, Gottfried has been plagued by a horrific and unexplainable chain of tragedies, including disease, natural catastrophe, and a string of accidents of the most perverse and bizarre nature.
These recurring events have brought attention to Gottfried, attracting a series of enigmatologists who have attempted to understand the causes and patterns behind the disasters. All of them died under suspicious circumstances, until 1789,when the disasters stopped. But has this phenomenon, coined locally as "the Gottfried Curse," truly been buried?
It began in 1736 with an outbreak of the measles and mumps. The college was originally founded as a children's hospital by Doctor Bertrand Gottfried, who attempted to ward off the epidemic. Despite his efforts, more than one hundred children perished. Rumor has it that the doctor built catacombs beneath the hospital grounds to bury the children and contain the infection. Three years later, Bertrand Gottfried mysteriously died. His body was found in the lake by a groundskeeper, his death apparently caused by heart failure.
I pause, my breath catching in my throat as I stare intently at the printed words that seem to echo with significance. "Heart failure," I whisper, the syllables hanging heavy in the air.
"What?" Lisa's voice comes from over my shoulder, curious and concerned.
"Bertrand Gottfried died of a heart attack. Just like my parents," I reply, my voice barely above a murmur, each word weighed down by the implications swirling in my mind.
Lisa tilts her head slightly, contemplating my words. "He was old," she offers, attempting to rationalize. "It's not the most bizarre way to die."
"It is if they find you in a lake," I counter softly, my eyes scanning the page for any hint of further detail.
"Maybe he was swimming when he had the heart attack," Lisa suggests optimistically, her voice trying to inject a sense of normalcy.
"Or maybe it wasn't a heart attack," I muse, my thoughts racing ahead to darker possibilities. I feel a chill run down my spine, a mixture of fascination and apprehension gripping me tightly.
"Turn the page," She finally instructs, her voice steady but tinged with urgency, eager to uncover more of the unsettling history that seems inexplicably intertwined with my own.
Though none of the catacombs were ever discovered, they are purported to have been the beginnings of the subterranean tunnels that still run beneath the premises. All previous headmasters, including the newly incumbent Headmistress Calysta Von Laark, have refused to comment on this matter.
After the death of Bertrand Gottfried, the hospital stopped accepting new patients and closed its doors to the outside world. For a decade, no one came in or out, save for a weekly groundskeeper, who delivered groceries and supplies from the local general store. Yet, just as suddenly as the hospital closed, it reopened.
This time, as a school. The head nurse at the time, Ophelia Hart, ascended as the first headmistress. She named it "Gottfried Academy," after its founder. Over time, the infirmary's tragic history was forgotten, and students began to filter in. The disasters continued like clockwork.
The unexpected collapse of the building that is now the theater, in 1751; the nor'easter of 1754; the tuberculosis epidemic of 1759; and the food poisoning incident in 1767. Ten years later, the school was partially destroyed during the Revolutionary War, which was followed by a series of disasters culminating in the chemistry lab accident of 1789. But what was origin of the curse, and is it really over? Some believe that it's the area itself. Others believe it was Bertrand Gottfried.
"Everything started to happen after he died," local Esther Bancroft said. "He wasn't a doctor, he was a sinner. Lord knows what he did to those children. And then they killed him, and his soul is trying to tell people to stay away. Stay away." But others blame the curse on Gottfried's first headmistress. "It was that woman," local Hazel Bamberger, 84, claims. "That nurse that started the whole goddamn school. Ophelia. She was with that Doctor Bertrand, not like normal doctors and nurses are, but closer. After he died, she became the first headmistress, and that's when everything started. That's why it's always couples that die. She's seeking her revenge on people in love."
Although some might not believe Bamberger's theory, there is one more disturbing coincidence that even the townspeople aren't aware of, and that is the manner in which many of the people died. According to confidential police files, which were leaked by an ex-Gottfried professor who wishes to remain anonymous, more than half of the deaths at Gottfried were deemed heart attacks.
I carefully place the book on the old, creaking table, its weathered pages whispering faintly as they settle. Lisa turns towards me, her expression a blend of anticipation and concern, mirroring the swirling emotions inside me.
"This is it," I say in a hushed tone, clutching the page tightly, uncertain of what else to do with it. "This is the proof that ties my parents to Gottfried. To Benjamin. To everything."
Lisa's gaze shifts from the book to my face, understanding slowly dawning in her eyes. "This connects everything," I continue, my voice steady despite the whirlwind of emotions within me. "Gottfried College... the curse... my parents, Benjamin..."
So how was it that so many students died of heart attacks at such a young age? And was the school covering up the deaths with claims of disease, war, and natural disaster? To this, many people have answers—conspiracy theories, stories bordering on the supernatural—yet even the most fervent believers are unable to explain why the curse unexpectedly stopped.
The Second Autumn Fire, which occurred this May, was the first unexplained tragedy since 1789. Even Headmaster Kim Seokho, who has held the post for nearly seventeen years, was left speechless, as he refused to comment on the fire's origins or circumstances.
It consumed the entirety of the north forest, now known as the "Dead Forest," turning the treetops completely orange—hence the name, the Second Autumn Fire. It then spread across the wall, ravaging the Gottfried Library. "A real tragedy," local bookstore owner, Conrad Porley, said. "All those books gone forever." The books destroyed included the few written about Gottfried and its history.
To the surprise of the members of the Gottfried community, Headmaster Kim Seokho has not participated in the investigation, nor has he attempted to rebuild the library. In early June, just weeks after the fire, he stepped down from his position as headmaster and left the school.
When asked about the Gottfried Curse, his only response was, "There are no such things as curses; only people and their decisions." As for what he meant, that, along with the cause of the fire, remains a mystery.
I turn the page eagerly, hoping to uncover more text, but instead, I'm met with a series of haunting illustrations and photographs that seem to tell a grim narrative of Gottfried's dark past.
The first image depicts a chilling scene: shadowy figures, resembling doctors, plunge frightened children into the murky depths of the lake at the heart of the campus. The caption bluntly states, 'Doctors cleanse infected students, 1736 outbreak of measles and mumps.'
My gaze shifts to the next photograph, where my grandfather stands in front of Archebald Hall, wearing a strained smile that fails to conceal the weariness in his eyes. Flanking him are two women in a rigid stance, their hands clasped behind their backs.
The first woman is unfamiliar to me, but the second strikes a chord of recognition. She is tall and stern-faced, her graying hair hinting at years of authority. Clad in a plain housedress, she exudes an aura of authority and sternness. The caption beneath the photo identifies them as, 'From left to right: Professor Cordelia Milk, Headmaster Brownell Winters, Professor Calysta Von Laark, 1988.'
The picture had been taken one year before the fire. I stare at my grandfather's face, trying to comprehend the idea that he had once been the headmaster of Gottfried.
I stare at the pages, the words blurring into a haze of gray confusion. What could have caused those mysterious heart attacks at Gottfried Academy? And more importantly, how did it connect to my parents, who were thousands of miles away when they died?
Desperate for answers, I flip through the remaining pages of the chapter, hoping to uncover more clues, but they offer nothing of substance. Frustration sets in as I realize the book has little more to offer than mundane details about Attica Falls—the weather, the town's geography, and its demographics.
Glancing back at the worn cover, I'm struck by the insignificance of the book in unraveling the mysteries haunting Gottfried Academy. Its limited scope reflects the broader reluctance to delve deeper into the school's unsettling history, leaving me with more questions than answers.
I say, "Lisa..." but pause, uncertainty gripping me. Lisa notices my hesitation and encourages, "It's alright, go on."
"I think we need to talk to Rosé about that night again," I finally say, my voice steady despite my inner turmoil. "There's something she's not telling us."
Lisa nods thoughtfully. "Alright, I will ask her to come over to my place later. But Y/n, you need some rest," she advises gently, concern evident in her eyes.
She says, "There's still time before college ends; let's head home and get some rest." I nod in agreement and rise from my seat. Lisa leads me to her car, and we settle inside.
She starts the engine and begins driving. As we move along, I gather my thoughts and ask, "Lisa, how am I a witch?"
She glances at me briefly before focusing back on the road. "You summoned me," she replies calmly, her voice steady. "Only powerful witches could do that."
Confusion clouds my mind. "But I'm not powerful," I protest softly.
"You are," Lisa asserts firmly. "You have this energy that I can't explain. It's just that your powers aren't triggered yet."
I ask curiously, "When were your powers triggered?"
Lisa chuckles, her eyes twinkling mischievously in the rearview mirror. "Last year," she replies. "It was quite the surprise."
"Will I get powers like you?" I inquire, trying to imagine what it would be like.
"Of course," Lisa reassures me with a grin. "Then we'll prank together, wreak havoc in the most magical ways."
I laugh at the thought, already feeling a sense of excitement building within me. "Can't wait for that," I say, imagining the adventures we could have once my powers awaken.
We reach Lisa's house, and I practically dive onto her bed with a sigh of relief, the day's tensions momentarily melting away. Lisa follows me in, closing the door behind her with a soft click.
"I've let Rosé know," she says, glancing over at me with a reassuring smile. "She said she'll swing by later."
I nod appreciatively, patting the space beside me on the bed. "Thanks for setting that up. I really want to get her perspective on everything."
Lisa chuckles and joins me on the bed, settling down beside me. "She always brings a fresh angle to things. We'll figure this out."
I nod again, feeling a sense of relief knowing that Rosé would be joining us soon. "Yeah, she's got a knack for uncovering the unexpected."
Lisa leans back against the pillows, mirroring my relaxed posture. "So, what now? Want to chill here for a bit? Maybe watch something?"
I nod eagerly, snuggling into the soft comforter. "Definitely. What do you feel like watching?"
She thinks for a moment before a mischievous grin spreads across her face. "How about something light-hearted? Maybe a comedy or an animated movie?"
I laugh, nodding in agreement. "Sounds perfect. You pick. I'm up for anything."
With a nod, Lisa grabs the remote from the bedside table and starts browsing through the streaming options. As the TV screen flickers to life, casting a gentle glow over us, I can't help but feel grateful for this moment of calm amidst the uncertainty swirling around us.
As Lisa puts on Coco, the vibrant colors of the animation flood the screen, and I can't help but nudge her playfully. "You're totally a softy," I tease, nudging her with my elbow.
Lisa feigns offense, her expression mock-serious. "I'm not! Creatures are afraid of me, you know."
I raise an eyebrow, trying to keep a straight face. "Yeah, sure. They probably just run away from your bad jokes."
She laughs, playfully swatting my arm. "Ouch, that hurts! My jokes are legendary in the shadow realm."
I grin, settling back against the pillows. "Legendary for all the wrong reasons, maybe."
Lisa smirks, leaning in closer. "Just wait until I unleash my ultimate pun. It'll be so bad, even you will surrender."
I gasp dramatically. "I'm trembling already. Please, spare me!"
I chuckle as Lisa tries to maintain her composure during the emotional movie scene, but her attempt to hold back tears fails, and I catch her with a sniffle. "Caught you!" I tease, grinning broadly as she glares at me playfully.
"Yeah, yeah," she replies, trying to swipe away the tears subtly. "It's just a really touching moment, okay? Don't judge."
I laugh again, wiping her tears away gently. "Aw, come on, Lisa. You know I can't resist teasing you when you get all mushy like this."
She rolls her eyes with a smile, pretending to be annoyed. "Well, excuse me for having emotions. Some of us aren't heartless like you."
"I'm not heartless," I protest, feigning offense. "I just don't see why people cry over fictional characters. They're not real!"
"Sometimes," Lisa counters, "fictional stories can hit closer to home than you think. They make us feel things, even if they're not real."
I nod thoughtfully, considering her words. "I guess I never thought about it that way."
She grins triumphantly. "See? Maybe you're not as tough as you think."
I chuckle, conceding playfully. "Fine, fine. But don't expect me to cry at the drop of a hat like you."
She laughs, nudging me playfully. "I won't hold my breath. Now, how about we watch something less likely to make me cry?"
Lisa looks at me with mock horror as I confidently select "The Conjuring" from the menu. Her eyes widen comically, and she shakes her head in disbelief. "Seriously? You're going for 'The Conjuring'? Are you trying to give me nightmares?"
I chuckle, enjoying her reaction. "Come on, it's a classic! Just a little spooky fun," I say with a grin, pressing play on the remote.
She sighs dramatically. "Alright, fine. But if I have nightmares tonight, it's all your fault."
"Don't worry," I reassure her, "I'll protect you from the evil spirits." I reach over and playfully make a cross with my fingers in front of her.
Lisa rolls her eyes playfully. "Thanks, I feel safer already."
As the movie starts, the suspenseful music fills the room, and Lisa edges closer to me on the couch. "Okay, maybe this was a bad idea," she whispers, half-jokingly.
I laugh softly. "It's not even started yet! Just wait for the scary bits."
Lisa narrows her eyes at me. "You enjoy scaring me, don't you?"
"Just a little," I admit with a mischievous grin. "But hey, it's all in good fun. Besides, you'll thank me later for keeping you on your toes."
Lisa shoots me a playful glare as I tease her about the jump scare. "I'm not scared. I'm a demon, remember?" she retorts with a smirk.
I chuckle. "Oh right, how could I forget? The fearsome demon afraid of a little jump scare."
She raises an eyebrow. "Hey, even demons can have sensitive nerves sometimes," she says, still trying to sound tough.
"Sure, sure," I reply teasingly. "Next thing you know, you'll be asking me to check under the bed for monsters."
"Hey, monsters need love too," she quips back, her tone light and amused.
Lisa leans closer, her eyes sparkling mischievously as she jokes about something, but her words are lost on me. My focus shifts to the sudden awareness of how close we are, our faces just inches apart. The air between us feels charged, and I find myself frozen, unsure of how to respond.
When I don't react with laughter or a witty comeback, Lisa's expression changes. A subtle realization dawns on her, mirroring my own awareness of the proximity between our lips.
Time seems to slow down as we both feel the tension in the air, my heart pounding loudly in my chest.
For a moment, neither of us moves, caught in the unspoken tension of the moment. The playful banter and laughter from earlier fade into the background, replaced by a palpable sense of anticipation and uncertainty.
As Lisa leans closer, the distance between us narrows even further. I feel her breath softly against my cheek, warm and comforting.
Her eyes hold mine with an intensity that sends a shiver down my spine. It's a moment suspended in time, charged with unspoken words and a growing sense of anticipation.
I can't help but notice the slight quirk of her lips, the way her gaze flickers from my eyes to my lips and back again.
The room feels smaller, quieter, as if the world beyond us has faded away. My heart races in my chest, each beat echoing loudly in the stillness between us.
Her presence feels magnetic, drawing me closer despite the flutter of nerves in my stomach. It's as if we're both standing on the edge of something unspoken, a silent invitation hanging between us.
I swallow nervously, unsure of what to do next, but somehow unwilling to break this fragile, electrifying moment.
As she leans closer, our breaths mingle, warm and hesitant. I feel the soft brush of her lips against mine, a fleeting touch that sends a shiver down my spine.
In this suspended moment, time seems to stand still, and the air crackles with unspoken tension. My heart races, torn between leaping forward or holding back.

Farah saw that flicker in Ven's eye, the same one she saw in Minho, the one that looked at her with a sense of understanding. It was proof, if anything, that there could be bridges formed between the two cities, that hate could be put aside if only they could make the effort to understand one another. Though pitching that idea to the people of Solspire, even the Council itself, was sure to earn laughs and build distrust. For now, Ven would be enough. He was more than enough, someone Farah wished she could change things for.
A soft sigh left her as she mused over her thoughts, trying to piece together the scraps that were soaring in her mind like ash from a fire. "It wasn't you." The Watchers wouldn't have done this, she didn't even spare a thought for that. "And I doubt Calysta would. So that doesn't leave much room for imagination." Were the two cities really so ignorant that they couldn't see they had a common enemy at play? "Part of me wonders if it was planned, if this city is so desperate to create more disgust and distaste for people who would do such a thing that they orchestrated it themselves. The people here won't care that Joe died, but they will care that it now affects them." She huffed in frustration. "But the looks on their faces... if anyone here is involved it isn't common knowledge."
She didn't have to name the they, on that. Ven nodded, head hanging a little heavier than it did most days. Made sense; seemed cruel, though. The way Solspire might be cruel. Call the doctor who was working so damn hard, down there, to sign off on another death she couldn't prevent. As if it was Farah who ought to bear that guilt. Even an ounce of it.
And how had Joe made it so far from home, to become a couple hundred pounds of that weighty burden Solspire refused to take up? He chuffed, with an upward tick of his eyebrows. How in-fucking-deed.
"Have a notion or two. Guess?" An invitation, not a demand. But he meant it; he'd like to hear her guess, share what she saw. Farah was of Solspire, yes. Meant she had an angle on things, dots to connect, that he never would. She cared for Lunemire, though, and genuinely; Ven wouldn't question that. He'd seen her put in the work, the blood, sweat, and tears. Never saw anyone out of Solspire weep for the Undercity, before her. And not out of pity, or anything so fucking crass. Tears of frustration, of battling past your own breaking point - only to hit one of Solspire's pretty brick walls. Tears of grief, for people most of Topside never spared even a thought for. Of course she'd come back. Of course he'd care what she had to say.

May I offer the thought of sukuna and his hell beast chihuahua
the way my best friend in highschool had two chihuahuas so im so down to talk about this
We're doing True Form Sukuna because that's my husband 💖💖💖
True Form Sukuna gets mad that the cat - the cat he got FOR YOU but the cat ended up liking him a lot more and being his little buddy - has now "betrayed" him and is spending more time with you since he has to go... idk, destroy shit? You and the cat had plenty of time to bond while Sukuna was out there ruining lives 💀💀💀
So he's like "I'm bringing back a dog from the human world"
and you're like "please don't just like...... take someone's dog"
he was planning on doing that
so man has to shapeshift into a less scary form to go to the shelter and he sees this lil chihuahua and poor little guy 🥺🥺🥺🥺 sukuna is like "that one" and the volunteer is seeing this 6'5" hulking man point at this itty bitty dog and is like "are you sure?" when really they want to say "are you gonna like eat this dog for the protein?????"
so when he comes back, you're just like... idk expecting a massive dog but instead HE'S GOT THIS LITTLE CHIHUAHUA IN ONE HAND
cat is not pleased
and you're like "after all this time together, you're somehow still full of surprises"
does he take the dog with him everywhere he goes???? YEAH. the dog has more sweaters than you do and the cat and you are like 😐 bc it's just Sukuna and his chihuahua against the world ✨️✨️
#CALYSTA THANK YOU FOR PUTTING THIS THOUGHT IN MY BRAIN#IM DEAD NOW FKEJFMDMMFMD#🎤: qichun is recording vocals#🎧: rae's artists

How do you feel regarding Erra?
I pity him. But, I do have hope for him. I don't envy or wish his fate on anyone, and hope that some day he can totally break free and assume control once again. I want him to have a chance to atone for everything he has done, his sacrifice and brief moments of control show there is an earnest desire there. Though, he does carry the baggage of being a sentient warlord with more blood on his hands than perhaps even the Orokin. But, well, I don't think anyone is beyond redemption... Or, maybe reform is a better word? I don't forgive him. He can't wash all of the blood on his hands away, but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a chance to begin again. Erra, and Natah, give me hope that the sentients can change course. The Orokin are no longer an empire, and the Tenno are no longer just tools of war. I hope they all come to the realization that they can put down their swords, the Orokin are but dust and echoes. All of us, every last one of us, are victims of the Orokin and their hubris in the end.
We should use that to bring ourselves together.

okay I finished eating so I can bring you some self indulgent (im studying zoology and herpetology) Uncle!Konoha thoughts.
the one time he takes baby Akaashi anywhere without the intention of meeting someone, its to the zoo, and baby Akaashi is just as obsessed with reptiles as Konoha is so when he bumps into an absolute angel who is walking through the reptile house answering questions, and is absolutely endeared by how baby Akaashi squeals with love as she presses her face against the glass of a boa's enclosure, he falls in love and may find a reason to take baby Akaashi to the zoo every chance he gets.
oh, I LOVE this!!
after having his ass handed to him multiple times now, Konoha promised Akaashi he would stop flirting with people while on babysitting duty. He promised. And yeah, he totally promised before and completely forgot about it (hoe convenient) but this time, he feels like hes threading too close to having his time with babygirl being cut off short, and he loves her too much to let that happen, so he makes good on his promise.
And the first half of the zoo visit goes by smoothly. His full focus is on baby Akaashi and how adorable she is when she gets excited about all the animals!! Not to mention how cute she is, when babbling to the other kids nearby some random trivia Uncle Aki told her about the animals they're seeing (no, he totally didn't read that from the little information panel in front of every exhibition pfff)
That is until the reptiles exhibition. Thats when Uncle Aki SHINES.
On the way there he tells her the coolest things he knows, dumpingall the info he collected during his reptile nerd years. Its easy to see how his excitement bleeds through baby Akaashi, she's jumping up and down, stars in her eyas as uncle Aki talks, until one point it turns into too much excitement for a such a tiny body and shes dashing from his side and to the snakes exhibit.
Of course he hurries behind her, sighing in relief the moment he spots her in a crowd of other kids around the same age. But baby Akaashi stands out, giddily greetin the Boa Constructor and her squishing against the glass enclosure. Konoha calls her name to grab her attention and is completely ignored, but he can't find it in his heart to be mad about it. Instead, he starts to make way to her.
Thats when he notices you, makijg him stop in his track if only for a brief second. You look like an absolute angel and if the endearment in your voice when talking to baby Akaashi is anything to go by, you actually might be one.
Konoha has to shake the dumbfounded expression off his face when his niece points at his direction, making you, and the rest of the mini-humans crowd, look at him. Turns out that baby Akaashi kept interrupting what you were saying with her own impressively accurate facts about Boa Constructors, making you crouch down and compliment her on how much she knew about it and she lets you know that uncle Aki told her aaaaaaall about snakes and lizards and—
She goes on a monologue about reptiles and how awesome they are, but Konoha can't focus on what shes saying when your eyes flicker between Baby Akaashi and him. Oh, your eyes, the way you smile up at him when his niece tell you that uncle Konoha is the coolest. God, you might be the prettiest thing he's ever seem.
He tries to say something, get her attention so she stops interrupting the guided visit but his mind is coming up blank. And then it fully short circuits when you say to an giddy baby Akaashi: "Well, your Uncle Aki seems like a really cool guy. Why don't you two join us for the rest of your visit?"
And he is left utterly humiliated when his 5 year old niece and her yelled out "yay" is more eloquent at answering you than he is. Really, any other response beside a sheepish smile and a stuttered out "yeah, that'd be cool" would be fine and not make him look lie a complete fool. You don't seem to mind though, shooting him a sweet smile whenever baby Akaashi raises her hand to ask question during the rest of the guided visit. And she is Keiji's daughter, so there were a lot of questions.
At the end of the visist, when they go to thank you for letting them join in, Konoha is phisically itching to shoot you one of his best lines to get your number. But one, he has a feeling his usual charm wouldn't quiet land with you and, more importantly, two, he made a promise to Akaashi. So, he and baby Akaashi bit their goodbyes and despite the ridiculous amount of reptile themed merch hes carrying on his way out, he feels like hes leaving empty handed.
Its only when he and Baby Akaashi reache his car, thta Konoha's gloom demeanor brightens up as she asks him if they could come see the snakes next time. "Yeah, that'd be cool", he tells her with a smile.
@emmyrosee babe more uncle aki just dropped!!
#HELP THIS GOT TOO LONG#but calysta oh my god i live this!!!#also its pretty cool that you're studying#herpetology!!!!#so this got wayyyy too long but i still have Thoughts!!#baby Akaashi keeps asking for a pet snake and uhm Keiji doesn't do well with reptiles#so she has to settle for zoo visits which is a blessing to konoha tbtlg#tbh**#anyway it gets TOO MUCH at one point and everyone (bokuto yukie keiji washio) starts digging on why the hell konoha is so happy with#taking bby akaashi to the zoo every weekend#they love her but its getting boriiiiing to everyone EXCEPT konoha whos not even pretending to be excited he just IS#and keiji is finding it awfully suspicious too#when they find out that YOU are the reason they keep pushing him to just ask you out already#but ofc hes trying to make good on his promise#until Keiji gets ENOUGH of it and just tell him to get over it and just do it alreadyyyy#ALSO#konoha is a smooth talker untill he actually gets interested in someone#then he's a huge loser who cant flirt for shit#and i will die on this hill#🌼✉.beehive mail#🌼.from the hive [ khinux ]#🍯💛.bee's knees: [ calysta♡ ]

Wanderer: Chapter 2
Summary: She died. Her child unborn. A heart shattered. However, she is commanded to live for another. Now, she must do so while trying not to fall apart and try to survive to find her purpose.
If there was one thing that Calysta noticed instantly that she seemed to be much shorter than the people of this world. After exiting the doors she noticed a male figure that was standing near some stones nearby, slowly, she approached him. He seemed to have taken notice of her as he stood up straighter. He was a strange sight, he seemed to wear a unusual grey colored mask he was also wearing what seemed to be grey rags possible with armor and
“Oh yes… Tarnished are we?” He asked, causing Calysta to tilt her head slightly in confusion. However, he seemed to ignore it as he continued to speak in a almost mocking tone,” Come to the Lands Between for the Elden Ring, hmm? Of course you have. No shame in it.”
*Elden Ring?* Calysta thought to herself with utter confusion. As much as she wished to ask this person questions, something within her told her he was not a friend. So she allowed him to continue uninterrupted, “ Unfortunately for you, however, you are maidenless. Without guidance. Without grace, without the strength of runes, and without an invitation to the Round Table Hold…” He paused for but a moment before finishing,” You are fated it seems, to die in obscurity.”
Calysta didn't say anything as she started to walk away, as she did so he called,” By the way Tarnished. You are quite shorter than I expected.”
She could feel her eye twitch as she didn't give him a response, continuing forward, without purpose or guidance of any sort she became lost. The light that sat high in the sky was slowly waning, during her wondering she had come to encounter many opponents. Some she dispatched with relative ease others had given her a tough time. Such as with the case of the horseback rider as he was three times larger than her. She was surprised that her body held against the many strikes the knight had landed upon her. Her arms and body ached as it eventually gave way to indescribable pain.
Still she continued to walk and stumble in an unknown direction hoping for some form of ally or someone to tell her something about the world around her. It seemed her prayers were answered in the form of a strange sight before her now. It started off with someone yelling out for help, despite her current state she followed the voice until she came upon a large jar being.
“Hello! Can you help me?” He called out, causing Calysta to look around tiredly before she responded,” Yes? I can try to assist you.”
“If you could that would be that would be wonderful!” He replied back with enthusiasm.
Calysta nodded her head as she slowly made her way over to behind him, using the flat end of the sword, she used the remaining strength she had within her arms and managed to free him. The pot let out a jolly laugh, his back was turned to her as she fell to the ground feeling weak and tired. His laugh stopped immediately as he quickly rushed to her side and asked with surprise,
“Are you alright, Tarnished? My word have you taken a rest at a Grace Site?”
Calysta slowly blinked as she replied back with a croaky voice,” Grace? What is that?”
“Y-You don't know what grace is, Tarnished?” The huge pot asked her causing her to shake her head no. At the shake of her head she could feel herself being picked up, followed by the sound of footfalls and the wind blowing through her hair and against her skin. Her vision was beginning to fade in and out as her hearing began to hear the jar began to speak once more,” Hang on, Lady Tarnished! I nearly have you to a grace point.”
After that Calysta hear no more as her vision faded once more into black.
*Its good to see thee once more, Calysta,* The familiar soft male voice called out her in the inky darkness.
“Who is there!? How do you know me? Why I am here?” Calysta yelled out with fear and sorrow.
Suddenly, the once dark world was brightened revealing a large landscape filled with trees, flowers and clear lakes. Calysta looked around in awe, however, she felt a warm presence behind her causing her to turn see an extremely tall male standing near a large white tree. Slowly, she approached him she could see that he had long white hair with a full beard that stopped at the top of his chest. His glowing orangeish yellow eyes watched her as she approached and he spoke, softly as if talking to a deer,
*I am Ythos. I am life. I brought thee here to help with balance.*
“Balance… What balance?” Calysta asked with a hint of confusion as she watched him move closer to until they were standing side by side. It was then that she realized that she was extremely short compared to his massive height.*Life and death. The holder of the Elden Ring and queen of the Land Between, has removed death from the ring. Stopping the flow of the cycle. Stagnation now engulfs the world*
“Im sorry to hear that, but what does that have to do with me? I just wanted my baby… I just wanted to die with my baby…” Calysta asked with a teary tone.
*Thy will was strong. As well as your love for that which was unborn. You posses the strength to bring forth balance and reignite empathy and love for all beings. I will guide thee. I have bequeath thee with my rune. It lies within thy body.* He replied as he turned to gaze into the water, however before Calysta could ask anything more, she could feel a pull that caused her to fall backwards once again.
*Remember to find thy child in the cocoon.* Ythos commanded as she fell back into darkness.
Her eyes snapped open, quickly sitting up, she looked around before her eyes landed upon what appeared to be a diamond shaped yellow orb. It seemed to have traces of light leaving it, causing her to tilt her head in question, her thoughts however were soon interrupted when she heard the familiar male voice call out,
“Ah! I am glad you are up, Lady Tarnished. How do you fare?”
Calysta turned to see the large pot she had freed before she had fell unconscious. “I am feeling better than I was before. Thank you for helping me. May I ask what your name is?” Calysta asked with a hint of curiosity.
“The name is Alexander. Iron Fist Alexander to be more precise. I am glad you are feeling much better, Lady Tarnished.” He replied back with a booming voice.
“You can call me, Calysta. I don't suppose you would be willing to assist me. I am lost…” She began when Alexander gently cut in with confusion,” Lost, Lady Calysta? Do you not know where you are?”
Calysta looked down at the grass covered ground as she replied back meekly,” No I don't know where I am. Nor do I know what this is?” She pointed to the yellow orb,” Is this the grace point you were telling me about?”
“Have no fear, Lady Calysta. I'll assist you I may be a warrior pot, but it would do me a great disservice if I left you alone,” He began as she walked over to her side and let out a groan as he sat down,” To answer you question, yes this is a grace point. From my knowledge, Tarnished rest at these points it allows your vitality and her stamina to return. From what I noticed when you helped me was that you looked very drained and you were wounded to boot.”
“So these pointes are kind of rest spots for people such as myself?” Calysta asked softly as she felt her head begin to ach at trying to make sure that she remembered such things.
“Correct. Tell me Lady Calysta where do you hail from? You are by far the shortest Tarnished that I have met.” Alexander said as he crossed his arms over himself. Calysta couldn't help it as she puffed out her cheeks and replied back with a small bit of irritation,” You are the second individual that has mention my height. It is not my fault everyone here is much taller than myself.”
Alexander began to laugh as he replied,” Well met, Lady Calysta.” Calysta, allowed a small huff to escape her mouth as she continued to speak,” As from where I am from… I don't think you will believe me.”
“That is utter nonsense. Of course I would believe you, but if it brings back bad memories then you do not have to share,” Alexander said with a soothing tone, causing Calysta to let out another soft sigh as she replied back,
“I can use a friend. Someone to tell my tale to even if it is just seems like a fantasy tale…”
“Then I shall be your friend, Lady Calysta. Tell me your tale and I promise I'll assist you to the best of my ability. I swear it upon my honor as a warrior jar,” Alexander said thumping a fist upon the front part of his body.
Calysta smiled up at him and began to tell him her tale of her very first death and how she came to be in the land that was about to lay down a foundation of something she never would dream of happening.

I know probably nobody cares but I think it’s funny so I thought I’d share- I’m just now coming to the realization that I’m shorter than literally every single one of the Fictif and Arcana characters besides Portia, who I’m taller than, and Tulsi, who I’m the same height as. (Vidas and Calysta’s heights haven’t been released but I’d be surprised if either of them were taller than me lol). But I’m 5’4 and I thought that was pretty average so either I’m wrong and it’s not average or every character Nix Hydra makes is tall.

Artless
I thought I knew you.
Oh, how naive I most certainly was,
walking this earth with a mind set on “ I can do anything and none of it will hurt”.
Independent : I thought I lay
Careless : the honest to god truth I was , behind walls.
Those times I gazed into your eyes as they were brimming with darkness, convinced it was merely lust…
to finally come to understand the evil they really held and I cried to god!
Why were yours the ones I had trust?
I thought I knew you.
A fantasy had grown inside my mind
I the princess and you the prince, together forever , I was convinced… even as you tarnished my body forever, and allowed me to forget who I was.
I held nothing against you but my own love.
I thought I knew you.
I am aware it’s said that one change in time butterfly effects and the world is forever different…
yet that is something I am willing to risk to have never had our souls touch, our auras fuse and our naked bodies lie next to each other exposed and bruised.
I thought I knew you.
As I lay in silence with the only noise being my own thoughts, the loudest one ringing
I despise myself now, and I despise who I was when we collided.
I, was the one who stayed.
I, was the one who begged.
And I, was the one who loved you.
I thought I knew myself.

Time for another art dump! More info under the cut!
Paya and Princess Zelda (BOTW)
In Venomverse these two are married with a daughter, Princess Zaidee. Together they rule Hyrule (BOTW) and are very good mothers to their daughter. They're extremely close with BOTW!Prince Consort Link and Prince Sidon, as well as their daughter Princess Coventina. They're also the cross-dimensional mothers to my MidnaXTP!Zelda kids Prince Zahra and Princess Amina, my HW!ImpaXHW!Zelda kids Prince Osias and Princess Adoni, and my PitXMega ManXDark PitXALBW!Zelda kids Prince Oneiroi (PitXZelda), Princess Persephone (PitXMega Man), Prince Gaius (Dark PitXZelda) and Prince Kyros (PitXZelda). I had so much fun designing these two!!! I guess it's a good thing I didn't make their refs earlier since BOTW2 was announced and they gave Zelda short hair. Originally, Zelda was with Urbosa until I went "................Hm" and changed it, although this Zelda having a tiny crush on her is what remains of that earlier draft. When I was looking for new partners I thought about putting her with Riju, but then I decided on Paya. I always liked Paya and although she canonically has a crush on Link, I like to think she also had a crush on Zelda (as evident in her expression in this ref). What I'm saying is I'll rub my grubby gay hands all over every fandom I touch godammit and you can't stop me!!!! Impa is half snow-leopard since HW!Impa is a snow leopard in Venomverse! I don't really plan on drawing BOTW!Impa but I'd imagine she's a snow leopard just like HW!Impa.
Princex Morgan
2 year difference between refs!
In Venomverse Morgan is nonbinary (They/them) and is the middle child of Chrom and Robin; younger sibling to Princess Lucina and older sibling to Prince Bates. They're incredibly fond of Lucina's children with Severa, Princess Neela and Prince Mordecai, who they help teach magic to alongside their younger brother.
Robin
3 year difference between refs!
In Venomverse he and Chrom are married with three children; Princess Lucina, Princex Morgan and Prince Bates! He's also the uncle of his twin sister's children with Tharja, Noire and Calysta, as well as Lissa and Maribelle's children Prince Brady and Prince Owain! He and Chrom are also the grandfathers of Lucina's children with Severa, Princess Neela and Prince Mordecai! He’s also Genderfluid!
Scarlet
In Venomverse, King Consort Scarlet is married to King Xander and King Ryoma and together they have 4 children; Prince Shiro (RyomaXScarlet), Prince Siegbert (XanderXRyoma), Prince Artaxias (XanderXScarlet) and Princess Estelle(XanderXScarlet). She's also the aunt to my many other FE Fates royal family kids.
Prince Siegbert and Prince Shiro
In Venomverse these two are half-brothers, and are the eldest children of King Xander, King Ryoma and King Consort Scarlet. Shiro is the oldest and is the son of Ryoma and Scarlet, while Siegbert is the second oldest and is the son of Xander and Ryoma. They're the older half-brothers of Xander and Scarlet's twins Prince Artaxias and Princess Estelle.
Tharja
In Venomverse she's married to F!Robin/Raven (also called Reflect) and together they have 2 kids; Noire and Calysta. She's also the aunt of Chrom and Robin's kids Princess Lucina, Princex Morgan and Prince Bates and Lissa and Maribelle's kids Prince Brady and Prince Owain. She's also the grand-aunt of Lucina's kids with Severa, Princess Neela and Prince Mordecai. This was my first time ever drawing Tharja! I had a lot of fun figuring out her neck accessories as well as her color scheme She actually wasn't my first pick for Raven's partners; I remember Frederick being Raven's partner a long time ago (I'm sure there was someone else who I chose for Raven) before I switched it to Tharja.

calysta list-LISTEN TO MEEE.
meian with his sweatpants hanging so low on his hips that the defined V and happy trail are more than visible, and he's cooking breakfast for you and when you walk into the kitchen, his voice is kinda deeper and more rougher than usual, and he just smiles and is like "hey sleepyhead. i thought you'd never wake up." as he's sliding food onto a plate.
that's it, that's the thought, because my brain exploded. 🧍🏻♀️
I dont know how to respond to this, my brain is fried. Honestly my brain is in two different places id be tempted to ask if I can have him for breakfast before getting on my knees and nuzzling that happy trail, or wrapping my arms around him, one hand dangerously close to slipping into his sweatpants my face nuzzled into his back cause im exhausted.

On the topic of Ordis, how did you feel when you learned that before he was a Cephalon, he was The Beast Of Bones?
Alright back after unfucking my dashboard.
Honestly? I felt bad for Ordis, and began to dislike him significantly less. Though, I do wish he hadn't given up himself to protect us. If I had my way, I would restore him myself, he doesn't deserve his fate. The Orokin are monsters, and they deserve the fate they received. While not all of them were so comically evil, I do think it's for the best that they've disappeared from the Milky Way. I can't judge Ordis for being a killer. Honestly, I don't think any Tenno can. While circumstances may be different, we have a proverbial; and possibly literal; ocean of blood at our feet. We're all killers in some regard. Even if it's just to protect ourselves.
