I wish Eddie could’ve seen how upset Steve was when he saw the news accusing him of all these terrible things even though they weren’t true. I believe that they could relate to each other on a personal level considering there’s still people in Hawkins who will never change their opinions on them. Some people still see Steve as a bully and Eddie will always have a bad reputation tied to his name, they were the only ones to truly see each other for who they actually were. Two beautiful souls who never got the chance to become one. In another lifetime they will.

listen, i love this scene for a very obvious reason, and that is: bai yaxing was betting on luo fengping's anger to kill hu dayong just like he did with tu xiamao and he almost succeeded (and then again when he hypnotized lfp to off himself, using his pain, this time) but byx has miscalculated lfp
true, txm and lfp share the same grief, having lost someone that they love to greed but here's where byx has miscalculated: it's not that lfp's determination and belief is less than txm's (i mean, he betrayed and hurt the people he clearly cares about — who cares about him back — and faked his death and everything to get his revenge, if that's not determination, i don't know what is), it's that byx never considered what else lfp might believe in other than his anger and pain
now this is the part where another favourite scene of mine comes into play:
Tumblr media
i think this was the part that truly and finally made lfp stop (i mean, lfp was already ready to stand down when luo fei brought up his mother but luo fei's plea and admission just might have done it)
byx feeds off on people's desires, mostly revenge, but i don't think he ever understood them despite how they all wanted the same thing, and certainly not lfp's, that's why it ultimately failed
i don't think byx ever considered that lfp's desire for revenge could be swayed by lfp's want to protect the people he cares about — as evidenced by the trio's moment by lfp's mother's grave and then that scene with luo fei above
another scene that further proves it:

another thing byx misunderstood about lfp is his love for his mother, byx reduced it to grief and anger and pain (which are easy to take advantage of) when it's also joy and cheer and comfort and a promise — to be good, to be someone with a sense of justice
(ok this has gotten out of hand and probably didn't even need saying but hey have my play money of two cents lmao)

Like I literally have second hand embarrassment for Vox after seeing what Alastor ACTUALLY is like in a rivalry.
Like homie wishes he could be that close to Alastor 😂😂

one of the differences between good omens the show vs good omens the book that will always fuck me up is the post-bookshop fire scene. crowley goes from picking himself up, dusting himself off, accepting the loss of aziraphale and Just Driving Anyway to completely falling apart. i do get why people have gripes with it being changed so fundamentally, and i've thought about it a lot myself, but i've never been able to bring myself to get mad about it. i always circle back to how the book was written by two best friends. that drunken, wrecked, grief stricken scene was written in a post-pratchett world. he lost his best friend.

I hate how fandom has become "if you haven't created anything in this very specific time frame after the release of the show/movie, everyone will have moved on"
And call me old fashioned, but that's just not me. I sometimes take ages to create and publish. And I will love a show or movie for such a long time (years, babes, years) that I just can't relate to the fast consumerism that's going on.
Because, let's be real, it can get really lonely in a fandom if most have simply moved on to the next shiny thing. Is what's created less worth, just because it was created outside the hype? Why is it such a taboo for this new fandom generation to love an old or "late" fic or art?
It's so tiring and I'm too old for the 30-seconds-hype-tiktok-shit. Just tired. So, so tired.

hey so you know all the symbolism about miles wearing a spider-man costume for most of itsv because he didn't feel like he was living up to what spider-man was supposed to be. you know how his real suit is so important because it represents his confidence in himself. hey did you know that after miguel tells him he's an anomaly and a mistake, miles' suit glitches back into that spider-man costume.
