Gangs actions and reactions to the newest chapter (chapter12)

Spoilers ahead and just some quick thoughts

This is quickly done cause I’m mega ill but I really loved this episode it was so cute but is setting up alot of really interesting story lines!!!!

Olivia 🐼 +karma

Haru+animals=an extremely happy Olivia

Or Haru and Olivia take their kids to the petting zoo episode.

Olivia is in her element, jabberwock is the place she works best in and working with animals was always her dream before everything went down when she was a kid.

Is literally crying about Haru like my tiny husband, so smol, so biteable.

Karma doesn’t really help much and is doing kids and adult face paints, kind of forgets they’re on a mission and just does his own thing~painting like a man possessed; starts painting the cat without even realising.

Olivia immediately clocks Haru’s injury; she has to be low key in her efforts to subtlety help him as she knows he’ll avoid the subject and avoid her if he thinks she’s giving him special treatment.

Is more intuned with the anomalies, finds herself going back to the shrine repeatedly but thinks it’s just because she feels bad for the forgotten god and repeatedly asks Haru about it which helps with the end result

Keeps Haru in her dungaree pocket and wears the peekaboo carrier at all times.

Karma’s head got turned into a cat and she wishes she could’ve got a photo, though it weirdly glitched and looked more fox like than cat.

It’s karma who talks to Towa instead of Olivia who doesn’t really leave Haru’s side. Haru Who uses this op to cuddle up to her.

Ren is suffering 1000% snd hates the paired up duos. Lowkey wishes he stayed with ritsu, though slightly changes his mind when karma hands him a watercolour painting of Ren in his outfit, almost blushing as he grumpily accepts the painting.

Karma surrounded by white rabbits and drawing the group is the vision.

Olivia wears an ugly coloured bum bag and is stocked up with all the necessities and hands out snacks, water and stuff throughout the day. ( she is the dad friend)

Olivia is so excited for Haru to finally have a day off, tries to set up the cosiest chill out place for him and peekaboo even leaving her phone so he can watch Netflix, she makes sure she takes a tracker with her so he can follow where she is.

Cathrine: 🧪

As soon as Haru said there’s a cat, she’s like say no more chief I’m there <3

It’s mega awkward between Haru and Cathrine cause they don’t get along-along but they’re trying their best.

Cathrine adores animals so she’s finally having a good time, nearly cries everytime the cat runs away from her.

Towa 🤝 Cathrine -Neurodivergent meltdown

She lowkey takes all the clothing tags off of her clothes and buys a pink hoody from the gift shop as she doesn’t like short sleeved t shirts.

They’re (Towa and Cathrine) weirdly quite similar and it makes things flow a lot easier for Haru as he just keeps pairing Towa and Cathrine up unless forced not to, ie when Ren insisted.

But they are a duo of chaos so if left alone for too long you can see Haru sprinting towards them in order to stop them from destroying or setting alight to something. He left them alone for 10 minutes and Cathrine got Towa to strike a dead tree with lightening multiple times to test how strong it was and how resilient the species of tree was.

It wasn’t very resilient and they had to awkwardly blame the weather as they avoided the farm guys questioning eyes as he sent a team to control the blazing fire.

Cathrine’s eyes are literally sparkling everytime Towa gets an animal to hang out with them.

If Haru and her got along better and trusted eachother, she would help with his hand but obviously it’s a strained relationship. So neither feel comfortable approaching the subject.

Towa and Cathrine talk all night, both being black sheep’s of their respective families, neither of them sleep that night and sit together as they discuss anything and everything, Towa eases a lot and doesn’t flip out in the morning and instead sticks close to Cathrine.

Cathrine is fixing everything she can set her sights on, she’s in her happy place~ fixing things, animals and a cute outfit.

Weirdly enjoyed the farm life despite usually being a homebody who hates the outdoors.

Ren and Cathrine are already really close and she cracks up at the sight of him being the duck mc.

Cries when she finally gets to meet the cat and is apart of the team that’s helping in building up the shrine again.

Has to be stopped by Ren when she meets the sheepdog god, she immediately went to try and pet him.

Is like this 🥹the whole mission.

Plans to take Lyca to the farm, was going to suggest him to look after jabberwock while they were away.

Also wants to take him to the sheepdog god once he regains power, hoping it’ll help Lyca meet neros.

Subtlety tries to make a wish for all the animals to like her but is immediately stopped by Towa (surprisingly.)

Rarely visits jabberwock so shes a bit upset about the mission ending so soon but promises towa to visit more often.

Also tries to file for split custody with peekaboo via ritsu is again stopped by Ren.

Ren and Cathrine play a lot of mobile games together and are in a lot of the same guilds, all the ssr cards he pulls and complains about are ones she’s desperately been wanting.

Ren is like if you don’t engineer a way for this weird dog thing to get tf off of me I will literally kick you out of the guild.

She infact doesn’t help him and he doesn’t kick her out of the guild.

Her relationship with Haru is a bit better and she hands him a hand support she uses and recommends (it works well with his robotic hand-cough cough she may of made adjustments to it to help him~)

Xena: •_•

The chillest to ever chill on this mission, she’s taking it easy, she’s hanging out with the animals…

Cries inwardly at the outfit and asked if she could swap ears with Towa as shes holding a grudge from when a hamster bit her.

She is starting to see a weird resemblance between her and capybaras to the point she sends a selfie to Leo and he’s like who is who?

A capybara is her spirit animal (next to a crow) she’s literally sitting and they’re all calmly huddling around her, Ren gets insanely jealous that he’s stuck with the ducks when he sees Xena literally shining from her calm atmosphere.

After the prison mission this was kind of a dream, she’s not the greatest around animals she sometimes feels awkward in handling them and such but she’s semi trying her best.

Ren 🤝 Xena playing games/reading manhwas when they’re meant to be working.

Once it’s time to follow the cat-its Xena detective mode, the only reason she lost the cat was because of her leg.

Actually gets to use her cane for once since she feels comfortable enough with jabberwock, knows they won’t judge her though Towa grabs the cane off of her and flings it around but does give it back and apologises(in his own way.)

The leg pain is immense but the use of the cane and Towa swooping her in a piggy back ride or princess carry helped immensely.

She immediately clocks Haru’s hand problem and feels the disability solidarity, she tries to help as much as she can in her own way and tries to make sure he actually chills, she does carry him a lot and even shares her dessert with him and her own struggles with her disability in order to let him know he’s not alone-feels embarrassed when he’s like oh no it’s just the hand got stuffed up and I need it fixed, ( of course the ooc emotional speech meant a lot to him and he greatly appreciates it but he doesn’t want her to feel pressured or weighted down by him so tries to pretends it’s just a matter of getting his hand fixed up~ Xena obviously knows what’s up and he breaks and confides in her a little bit)

When the cat starts getting into their psyches she’s like 👁️👄👁️ this the whole time and that’s also the face she has when she has to talk to Towa.

Already figured out Towa controls the weather and it’s why she does her best to keep him happy, even gives him flowers if he seems down.

Is so curious about what Towa wants to wish for as well as finding out why the jabberwock students made a pact with a demon, Leo is a bad influence.

When the mission is finished and she gets back to Leo and Sho, she’s starting to question WTF is going on and she adds finding the one who broke into jabberwock onto her insanely long list of things to do. This is what she ends up looking like, they’re just staring at her like 👁️👄👁️

Struggle of the Caged Bird (Yokai Ninja AU Chapter12)

Some explaining:

Ninja balls are Nomi's special in this au. Every technique can be found in the canon, except for the rainbow illusion ball is original (though it did show up in that pile of ninja balls). It can cause illusion in five senses, if you get me. I really love the way I made them. :D Nomi is not exactly a human anymore. His form is quite unstable, so he's been avoiding showing up and using art of disguise every time he does.

Possessed Veyle as a sibling

Both real Veyle and her possessed personality act as one of the siblings of the Four Hounds, however, unlike the other siblings, she has special status as the only biological child of Lord Sombron. This status entitles her to promise rewards and give orders to the Four Hounds, including Zephia, the mother figure. 

In Chapter12: The Sentinels, Possessed Veyle offers rewards to Griss, Marni and Mauvier for their success. Marni's reward is praise;

 “You are a treasure Marni”

Marni is eager to please Veyle in this scene, she offers to go after Alear and their allies. On the other hand Griss desires punishment as his reward and Veyle promises it;

 “Worry not Griss. You will soon have all the agony your heart could want.“

Mauvier is the only Hound who does not desire any reward from Possessed Veyle. He only acknowledges her unaltered personality.

 “You won't even say my name. How cold!”

Just like her father, she is manipulating her human ‘siblings’ to get what she wants. She is not bothered if they die. She doesn't even acknowledge Marni's death. When Mauvier betrays Lord Sombron and joins The Divine Dragon, in Chapter 21: The Return, she mocks him and his loyalty to the real Veyle, but doesn't really care that he has changed sides. 

 “So you're just going to betray me? Leave me sad and lonely again?“ 

Possessed Veyle knows how he sympathises with Veyle's plight and how much he cares for her. She uses his emotional attachment to mock him. When he meets her in battle in the same chapter she continues to taunt him. 

 "Ah! My loyal knight Mauvier. Aren't you going to protect me anymore?"

In the same unique battle conversation she demonstrates their detachment from each other. She has no problem killing him.  He is probably her ‘least favourite‘ Hound. He will obey orders but he will not acknowledge her while doing so. This lack of acknowledgement seems to vex her. 

"Same as ever, Mauvier. You won't acknowledge me. You won't even say my name. Well, don't worry. I haven't forgotten your reward. How about a swift death?"

To Zephia, Possessed Veyle is just an extension of her father, acting out his will under her spell. That is why she acts subservient to her. All she can see when she looks at Veyle is Sombron. After so many of his children have been killed, she learnt to not grow attached to protect her emotional wellbeing. Possessed Veyle just sees Zephia as a powerful and reliable tool who will do whatever she wants. She seems to appreciate Zephia's loyalty to her father and prefers her over the human Hounds. 

Possessed Veyle 's relationship with her father is one which lives in her imagination. She wants to be his only child and heir. She believes that there is some kind of bond with her father when, in reality, she is just another tool to be used and then discarded. When she is defeated by the real Veyle in Chapter 22: The Fell and the Divine, she calls out for help, which the real Veyle  knows will never come because their father doesn't care.
