Star Wars Fanfiction Request Guidelines | OPEN
Hi! I wanna try to write more each day, even if it's just small blurbs or pairing I might not typically write or think about (: I still reserve the right to say no, of course, but to make it easier, I wanted to compile a list of what I won't write/am willing to write. My ao3 -> darthkote
Below are the guidelines to help you craft a prompt that aligns with my writing preferences.
Minors DNI.
Content I Am Willing to Write
Stories rated GA to E.
Pairings of any gender or sexual identity. If you would like narrator/characters to use varying pronouns than those used in Canon, mention it!
Violence, gore, smut, where appropriate for the plot/prompt.
AUs grounded in realism within Star Wars Canon or Legends.
Canon compliant stories (I'll do my best to stay away from fanon if you so wish!)
Clone-shipping
Hurt/Comfort, angst, whump.
Polycules. Platonic, romantic, etc.
X reader. Won't use "y/n"
Content I Will Not Write
Underage characters in sexual situations.
Modern AU. Just not into it, I'm sorry.
Basically, feel free to request anything that falls into these guidelines. If something not listed makes me uncomfortable or disinterests me, I will address it directly as it arises.
Critical Details for Prompts
When submitting your prompt, consider the following elements to help guide the story:
1. Core Concept
What is the central idea or “what if” scenario?
2. Characters
Which characters are the focus?
Are there specific relationships to explore (e.g., romantic, platonic, familial)?
Any characters you’d like excluded?
3. Setting and Timeline
Where does the story take place (e.g., a specific planet, ship, or environment)?
When does it occur in the Star Wars timeline?
Note: I haven’t fully explored the Imperial Era or beyond yet. As I watch more, I will remove this note to reflect that! I have finished TBB and have not moved forward. I am progressing in timeline order in my own time. + Have watched the og trilogy.
4. Tone and Themes
What kind of tone should the story have (e.g., lighthearted, angsty, hopeful)?
Are there specific themes (e.g., redemption, survival, found family) to explore?
I worked for hours with chat gpt to compile a plethora of SFW and NSFW tropes in SW fanfic. Click here for SFW and here for NSFW.
5. Plot Details
Are there key events or plot points you'd like included?
Should the story be action-heavy, dialogue-driven, or a balance of both?
6. Relationships
Specify the type of relationship dynamics (e.g., slow burn romance, mentor-apprentice, camaraderie).
Include whether relationships are romantic, platonic, or unrequited, etc.
7. Style and Structure
Do you have a preferred POV (e.g., first-person, third-person limited)?
Length preference (e.g., short drabble, one-shot, multi-chapter epic)?
8. Canon and AUs
Should the story adhere to Star Wars Canon or Legends, or can it diverge?
If AU, how far does it deviate?
9. Visuals and Atmosphere
Do you have specific imagery or sensory details in mind?
Example: “A dreamlike sequence during Obi-Wan’s meditation.”
10. Dialogue or Scenes
Any specific dialogue or moments to include?
Example: “Have Cody reflect on his scars during a quiet moment.”
11. Avoidances and Triggers
Are there topics, elements, or scenarios you’d like avoided?
12. Inspirations
Share any inspirations: quotes, songs, other fanfics, or Star Wars media.
13. Ending
Specify what type of ending you envision (e.g., happy, tragic, open-ended).
Note:
These are just guidelines—you don’t need to include every single detail when making a request. However, please keep in mind my personal boundaries.

So this is likely to make me extremely unpopular, but all this furor around AI made me want to try it out and see how it would do with the kind of fic I write. I asked ChatGPT to write me a time travel crack fic where Fox assassinates Palpatine with a porg, as you do.
It's pretty much uniformly horrible, except for this gem: He picked up the porg.
“YEET THE FEATHERED VENGEANCE!” Fox roared, hurling the bird like a thermal detonator.
Yeet the feathered vengeance! ::snicker:: Yeah, I'm not worried.

AI and Human Collaboration in Creating Short Series: How to Find Balance and Shape the Industry
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/ai-and-human-collaboration-in-creating-short-series-how-to-find-balance-and-shape-the-industry/
AI and Human Collaboration in Creating Short Series: How to Find Balance and Shape the Industry
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Days of multi-million dollar budgets to make a movie or TV series are over. Now you can add special effects to an episode for $100 instead of $8,000. Trust me, no one can tell the difference. Creating exciting dialogues and plot twists takes weeks instead of months. Voiceover and dubbing in dozens of languages are done in a couple of clicks. Yes, AI is already heavily involved in the film industry, and this is just the first step.
It is expected that by 2033, Global AI in Film Market size will be around 14.1 Billion, with a CAGR of 25.7%. TV series will be released faster than before –– with AI, editing time is reduced by 40%. Certainly, more content will affect profits. It is projected to grow between $80 billion and $130 billion annually in the media and entertainment industry.
What will happen to actors, writers, producers, and others? Will they be left behind? Only if they fail to adapt. Human-AI synergy is a key. And here’s how to achieve it at all stages of content production.
Human-AI Brainstorm in Screenwriting
You all use ChatGPT (or other chatbots) to write emails and social media posts, so why shouldn’t screenwriters use AI to create cool stories? That’s exactly what 29% of the industry members are already doing. But here’s the thing: just like AI-generated text isn’t perfect, writing a script with AI alone would be boring.
This is where the human creative brain is needed. It’s the one who can guide the AI, fill it with really interesting ideas, and turn the text into a TV show.  Hooks, dialogues that you can’t tear yourself away from, sharp plot twists –– it’s all a creative brainstorm of both AI assistants and humans.
Actors Enhancing, not Replacing
AI can be used to “resurrect” actors and bring movie favorites back to the screen. For instance, Grand Moff Tarkin in “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” is a digital clone of Peter Cushing after his death. James Dean, who died back in 1955 in a car accident, will soon reappear on screen in “Back to Eden”. Using the same technology, Carrie Fisher appeared as Princess Leia in the “Star Wars” movie.
Another way AI is interacting with the movie industry is by transforming age representation. AI can easily make actors older or younger, if needed. This is exactly what Disney did with Harrison Ford in “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. Based on her persona from the previous movies, they created a new, younger version.
And finally, face changing. A very handy and extremely popular thing in the near future. Let’s say a team of actors worked together to create a series, and producers want to come up with something new with the same cast. Multiple products with the same actors wouldn’t work. In that case, Faceswap allows replacing actors’ faces — and now it’s completely different characters.
What about human actors? They can profit from this! Actors can sign an agreement to use their faces in different shows and earn passive income. Besides, in this way, they can increase their recognition and then ask for higher rates.
Production Timeline and Budgets are Cut
It takes months to a year to shoot a season of a traditional TV series. Don’t even talk about enormous budgets! The thing about short TV series is that they cost about $200-300k –– that’s about 10 times cheaper than the classic format. And user engagement is higher! AI helps a lot with that.
Make special effects? 42% of industry professionals already use AI to do so. Fly halfway around the world to shoot an episode in the tropics? No more needed, as you can generate the background with AI!
And while AI goes further and further in its enhancements, don’t ignore the irreplaceable part played by humans. They are responsible for story direction, creative vision, making sure the audience gets the picture and the action on the screen, and much more!
Post-Production Takes Weeks, Not Months
While post-production was once the most time-consuming part of working on a TV series, everything is changing now. AI is reshaping the way video editing works –– what used to take months is now a matter of weeks.
The VFX tool makes creating animation effects a breeze, and it doesn’t require a huge team anymore. The same goes for dubbing and localization –– with AI, you can quickly transform content for a global audience. For example, with ElenLabs’ dubbing tool, actors’ voices are changed within a few clicks, translated into different languages, while retaining their intended emotionality. Keeping scenes authentic no longer requires a whole studio.
AI has also sped up and facilitated dozens of editing team members. Color correction, sound effects, visual cleanup –– all these processes are highly streamlined, so you can ramp up content production.
Interactions with Actors
The latest technologies let viewers interact with characters while watching their favourite shows. How about chatting with them like friends? Tools like character.AI make it possible –  definitely a game changer! Surely, this kind of interaction has clear rules to keep the actors safe. No intimate texting, and all communication must be related to the series.
The human actor’s participation is not needed. He’s got a digital twin who’s trained on his behaviour.
This interaction benefits actors –– they can license their likenesses and personalities for AI-driven interactive experiences. Something like musicians get royalties for their hits. The amount depends on the time spent chatting with the audience and its volume.
What’s Next?
In the near future, viewers will be even more involved in the characters’ lives and series! They gradually move from passive observers to participants in its creation.
How about inventing a personalized series?
With AI, anyone could make a rom-com starring Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio or add their own Roman Empire atmosphere! It’s called setting. And it will happen even faster than you think –– there are already tools that allow it, so it’s a matter of the next couple of years.
Another trend that is definitely going to grow is vertical short series. They are produced faster, engage much more efficiently and, most of all, are adapted to the modern viewer’s needs, who find it hard to keep their attention for an hour-long series.
We are now seeing a new round of development of the AI-enabled TV series industry. The Human-AI balance is inevitable here. AI is helping screenwriters create compelling stories, actors are using AI to make money, directors are bringing bold ideas to life with tight budgets, and post-production teams are working faster.
So, pack your popcorn and get ready to be amazed!

Killer Porgs From Outer Space
All the controversy over AI made me wonder, can it really write better than I can? So I gave ChatGPT a prompt and then wrote my own version. The first chapter is AI and the second chapter is mine. OR: Fox travels back in time and kills Palpatine with a porg. As you do.

Hello Void!
So I wrote this short story called Clones.
No I will not share it, not right now at least since I’m trying to write a short story collection about the protag and her friends.
But I was discussing the morals in the story with ChatGPT for fun, because ChatGPT is the equivalent of a eloquent toddler to me.
And wow it really tried to make my protagonist a lot more immoral then I intended.
Here’s a short passage from the story:
Sometimes I felt bad about the client I had to bail on, she was a regular after all, until I remembered she was one of those weirdos who used clones for “ethical cannibalism”. She’d be fine.
That’s one of the bad things about growing illegal clones, that you can’t always do the hero work because the hero work doesn’t pay well. So sometimes you have to do shit like grow human meat bags for cannibals.
It honestly didn’t bug me too much, yeah the people were fucking creepy, but the clones were never alive and they use their own DNA. I’d rather they come to me then murder someone.
For some context the reason she bailed on her regular client is she was caught growing clones by the government.
Here’s what ChatGPT had to say:
In the text the protagonist reveals her involvement in growing illegal clones for clients, including one client who engages in "ethical cannibalism." Here are some moral implications that can be speculated upon:
1. Moral dilemma: The protagonist expresses some ambivalence about abandoning a client but then justifies it by characterizing the client as a "weirdo" involved in cannibalism. While the protagonist may feel conflicted initially, she ultimately rationalize her decision based on her perception of the client's immoral activities. This suggests that the protagonist's moral compass is influenced by her judgment of others' actions rather than an inherent ethical framework.
2. Profiting from unethical activities: The protagonist acknowledges that she engages in illegal cloning to make money, even if it involves growing human clones for cannibals. Although the protagonist finds the clients creepy, she justifies her actions by stating that the clones were never alive and that using the clients' own DNA somehow makes it more acceptable. This suggests a moral relativism where the protagonist's primary concern is avoiding direct harm or violence rather than addressing the broader ethical implications of her actions.
3. The trade-off between moral integrity and financial necessity: The protagonist mentions the difficulty of engaging in "hero work" that aligns with her moral values because it doesn't pay well. This highlights a moral dilemma where the protagonist's financial circumstances lead her to compromise her principles and engage in morally questionable activities. It suggests that the protagonist prioritizes her financial survival over upholding a higher moral standard.
Overall, the protagonist's involvement in growing illegal clones for clients engaged in morally objectionable activities indicates a moral ambiguity. Her decisions seem to be driven more by pragmatism, financial considerations, and a relative evaluation of different ethical transgressions rather than a strong ethical foundation.
Now to ChatGPT’s credit once I gave it context that the clones she grew did not grow a brain it was kinder in its assessment, but what I find intriguing is that I see almost nothing wrong with what the protag said, that being said I also gave her my own morals.
She does not grow them with brains, they are the equivalent of lab grown meat, she is not exaggerating when she says “human meat bags”.
Perhaps my morals are fucked though, often my morals don’t make since because I over rationalize them.
But I’ll cry if you squish that spider.

Continuing This With Things That Have Been Said in MY Classes
(It is literally the FIRST WEEK of the semester)
Ahsoka: Do you think I should just steal Master Obi-Wan’s report, change some words around, and put my own signature on it?
Anakin: Been doing that for years.
Ahsoka: What?
Anakin: What?
Ahsoka: …
Anakin: I won’t snitch if you won’t.
Padawan!Anakin: I bet Master Qui-Gon wouldn’t have made me take poetry
Obi-Wan: Qui-Gon Jinn is literally the reason poetry is a mandated course now because he was pissed Dooku made him choose it as an elective.
Kit Fisto: I didn’t mean to go on a 20 minute tangent about the gang-r*pe habits of dolphins, but I swear it’s relevant——
Mace Windu: Fucking HOW?!
Obi-Wan: Anakin, you know every Master in the temple knows you’ve been using the Protocol Droids to write your essays, right?
Pada!kin: …
Quinlan: Honestly, everyone tries it at least once, I’m just surprised it took you three years.
Pada!kin: How long did it take you?
Quinlan: Idk, like a week?
Obi-Wan: He still does, the Council just pretends not to notice.
Fox: Alright, 5 minute break!
Random Clone: Sir?
Fox, already running: caff time, caff time, caff time——
Alternatively…
Obi-Wan: Alright, 5 minute break!
Cody: Sir?
Obi-Wan, violently vibrating: tea time, tea time, tea time——
Obi-Wan: You know, I think my toe might honestly be broken but this tight ass shoe is keeping it together.
Cody: SIR?!
Obi-Wan: It’s pretty numb right now, so I’m good.
Cody: SHOULDN’T YOU GO TO MED BAY, SIR?!
Obi-Wan: Nah.
Quinlan, harassing Cody because Obi-Wan is busy: You ever bitten a motherfucker for calling you a bitch?
Cody: No.
Quinlan: Should try it some time.
Rex: You set the bar pretty low there for resorting to physical violence.
Quinlan: Tbf I’m down to throw hands literally 24/7 so the bar was actually pretty high on that one.
Welp. It's the end of the semester again, so...
Jedi Council (& Co.) as Things That Have Been Said in My Classes or Apartment
(very long post incoming)
Mace: Obviously this is God's favorite dinosaur
Plo: I will pardon the mime
Obi-Wan: If God punches you in the face, then you deserved it.
Shaak Ti: Did you just misgender my plant?
Sasee Tiin: Never give up on your dreams kids, but remember to lower your expectations.
Obi-Wan: Bless his FLIPPIN' soul
*During a training exercise* Mace: Do you have a girlfriend? Fives: No Mace: Well today you do Fives: Awesome, thank you
Obi-Wan: I'm running on happy thoughts and ibuprofen and I'm running out of both
Plo: Would you like to jaywalk with me?
Even Piell: You're going places, kid. Maybe jail.
Yoda: Willing to steal another, I am
Mace: You know what the best way to avoid Alzheimer's is? Caleb:...exercise? Mace: Die young
Shaak Ti: I'm not sure I would trust anyone with my baby. Especially not a man in tights.
Plo: Last time I got in trouble for using the word "quirky." Ahsoka: No, you got in trouble for applying it to the Trade Federation
Kit Fisto: I'm really glad that oranges are one of the foods that have peels. I mean, look at this thing. If it were just left on the tree it would be unusable. I'm kind of surprised more things don't have peels. Depa: I don't know, I feel like a lot of foods have peels Kit: Kit: Oh maker, you're right. This is blowing my mind. Name one food without a peel. Depa: Doritos Kit: You got me there
Ahsoka, struggling with homework: Brains are hard. Yoda: Hrm. Squishy, I thought they were.
Kit, sitting down between Anakin and Padme: Forget leave room for Jesus, leave room for Kit. Every relationship could use a little more Kit.
Depa: Welp. Made direct eye contact with THAT person out the window
Plo: Would you like to be my adopted daughters? Trace: I mean...sure? Plo: Great! You're in.
Anakin, picking a piece of strawberry up off the floor: Do I have to throw this away now or can I just rinse it off and eat it? Ahsoka: I think that's up to you. Obi-Wan: Risk-reward, Anakin. It's just a piece of strawberry. Anakin: Risk *pops strawberry into mouth* Obi-Wan: THAT'S NOT WHAT THAT MEANS
Quinlan: What the fo' shizzle is goin' on in the House of the Commons my dude?
Mace: There's something about putting artichoke on pizza that feels...unethical
Anakin: You're crazy Obi-Wan: I respect your choice Anakin: I don't
Depa: My onion is growing another onion Mace: Congratulations, you're a grandmother
Kit: It ended in a dance party. All the best movies end in dance parties, like Shrek, Shrek 2---
Mace: I am suspicious of the powders
Oppo Rancis: I can't think of his name. There was this senator, he lied and cheated his way into office--- Obi-Wan: Which one?
Depa: I put so much garlic in this it's hurting my eyes. I can't wait to eat it.
Obi-Wan: I'm having an existential crisis. Yoda: *plays Dancing Queen by ABBA*
