Family dynamics for the Lestranges? I LOVE THE AVERYS BTW LIKE WOW

THANKSSSSS I'll do it for my fav generation of the Lestranges, the children of Corvus (I) and Heloise: Anoux (1750-1842), Falco (1753-1835), Corvus (II) (1754-1861) and Rodolphus (I) (1755-1856).

Anoux was the oldest, but the least favorite because of her being born a woman. She was kinda cold because of it but enjoyed spending time with her brothers, specially with Rodolphus, who also enjoyed quiet time. With Falco they were always making fun of each other, and with Corvus they had opposed personalities but the same humor.

Falco was the first boy, and in consequence was spoiled by his father a lot. He didn't really like Corvus, but buckled up with it anyway for the sake of keeping appearances. The worst part was when his brother had a son, and he had to give him the heritage to pass on. He had a great relationship with Anoux (classic "we pretend to hate each other but not really") and a neutral with Rodolphus (until he became Minister of Magic and tried to be on his good side).

Corvus was kind of the "middle child" of the family, never treated badly but never the most important. He was only 10 months older than Rodolphus, so they were like twins growing up and did everything together. He was close with his sister even having completely opposed personalities (they were equally cynical, so their conversations were always fun), but not so much with Falco (they never knew why their relationship was like that, they just never liked each other).

Rodolphus was the accident child but wasn't excluded because of his quick mind and abilities. He was closest with Corvus and always wanted his advice (they were never good, but it was fun to see what he had to say). His sister and he had similar personalities and enjoyed spending time with each other in their garden (or when they were older, they often saw each other in various coffee shops). Falco wasn't his favorite sibling at all, but he was always cordial to him.

Elisa Lasowski as Minette Balbine Lestrange (née Rosier), a member of the pure-blood Rosier family. She was a woman of effortless charm, growing up in an environment where grace, beauty, and social prowess were paramount, excelling in all three. With a keen eye for elegance, adding to her ebullient nature, she was beloved by many of her peers, catching the attention of many such suitors who wished to ally with the Rosiers at that time. She was the younger sister of Félicule Lestrange and the older sister of Narcisse Rosier.

But under the warmth of her smile and the courtesy of her behaviour, was a keen intellect, one that understood the subtleties of power and manipulation better than most. After her sister Félicule's marriage to the Englishman Radolphus Lestrange, she found herself capturing the attention of his French cousin, Corvus Lestrange II.

She became the wife of Corvus Lestrange II in 1819, heir of Corvus I. By the year 1829, she had sired him two daughters and a son: Manon (b. 1821), Josette (b. 1823), and Corvus III (b. 1828). Manon and Josette Lestrange were also raised with their mother's exquisite taste in fashion. Minette lived to see her daughters get married to other French pure-blood families, and unexpectedly died of a heart attack at her son's wedding to Eglantine Lestrange.

Félicule Rosier is the original character of @konstantynowitz, and Narcisse Rosier is the original character of @theblackswan-and-thewhiterose.

Nathaniel Parker as Marvolo Gaunt (1865-1925~1928)

Short Background; Marvolo was born in 1865, as the third son of parents Teivel [Solomon] Gaunt II and Delfin [Medusa] Gaunt I (nee Black).

Marvolo was the fourth child of 13 children, the other 12 being Teivel [Zephyrus] Gaunt III in 1860, The twins Apollo Teivel Gaunt and Diana Delfin Black in 1862, Evren [Corvinus] Gaunt Snr. in 1867, Terra Gormlaith Gaunt in 1870, Achlys Tisiphone Gaunt in 1871, Leticia Chione Gaunt in 1872, Odessa Nemesis Gaunt in 1873, The twins Violenta [Visolela] Gaunt II and Invictus Taurus Gaunt in 1874, Ominis Gaunt in 1875 and the youngest Ursa Nyx Fairchild (nee Gaunt) in 1876.

Freya Mavor as Belladonna "Bonnie" Oizys Lestrange (nee Gaunt) (1899-1930)

Short Background; Bonnie was born in 1899, as the oldest daughter of biological parents Marvolo Gaunt and Oizys Cassiphone Gaunt aswell as the oldest daughter to her adoptive parents; her uncle Charles Fairchild and aunt Ursa Nyx Fairchild (nee Gaunt).

Bonnie was the oldest of four among her bioliogical siblings; the other three being Morfin Gaunt Snr, Felicitas Lynx Gaunt and Merope Riddle (nee Gaunt) and the oldest of three siblings among her adoptive siblings; the other two being Ominis Fairchild and Noctua-Marie Rowle (nee Fairchild).

While still living in America she met Phoebus Corvus Lestrange and she fell in love with him and not knowing he had a son and a wife back home started a relationship with him with their first daughter Corvina Solasta Weasley (nee Gaunt) being born in 1913, and their second daughter Achlys [Belladonna] Gaunt II in 1914.

She two years years later married Phoebus and the two had their first son Orien Corvus Gaunt being born in 1916, Calixtus Florent Lestrange in 1918, Vindicta Luella Lestrange in 1920, Cronus Marvolo Lestrange in 1929.

She passed away shortly after having her youngest due to unexpected complications.

Short Background; Morfin was born in 1900, as the only son of parents Marvolo Gaunt and Oizys Cassiphone Gaunt.

Morfin was the second oldest of four among his siblings; the other three being Belladonna Oizys Lestrange (nee Gaunt), Felicitas Lynx Gaunt and Merope Riddle (nee Gaunt).

In 1917, he became obsessed with a girl named Artemesia Lethe Gaunt (nee Blackwood) and kidnapped her wanting to marry her.

A year later in 1918 they had their son Morfin Gaunt Jr., Marvolo Gaunt II in 1919, Hesperia Black (nee Gaunt) in 1923, Makaria Weasley (nee Gaunt) in 1925, Cybele Nephthys Lestrange (nee Gaunt) in 1926, Nemesis Felicitas Musgrave (nee Gaunt) in 1927 and Nehalennia Knight (nee Gaunt) in 1929.

Short Background; Merope was born in 1907, as the youngest child of parents Marvolo Gaunt and Oizys Cassiphone Gaunt.

Merope was the youngest child among her siblings; the other three being Belladonna Oizys Lestrange (nee Gaunt), Morfin Gaunt Snr. and Felicitas Lynx Gaunt.

In either the fall or winter of 1925, she married Tom Riddle Snr. the marriage only lasting a year before Tom Snr. left the pregnant Merope.

Merope died shortly after giving birth to her son, Tom [Marvolo] Riddle Jr.

Lestrange Sr. headcanons

Lestrange sr was the grandson of former Minister for Magic Radolphus Lestrange. It became a family tradition to give the boys within the Lestrange family a name that bore the first initial ‘R’ after Radolphus.

I headcanon Lestrange sr’s first name to be Radolphus in honor of his grandfather, so he’d technically be Radolphus Lestrange II.

His nicknames are Rudolph or Ru (but anyone besides Tasoula who dares call him these is a dead man).

Other than being British, he is of German and French descent.

Lestrange had three children with his wife Tasoula Shafiq: Rodolphus, Rabastan and Renissa. Renissa is Lestrange’s youngest child and only daughter, and in spite of being a girl she was included in the family tradition of being given a name that started with an ‘R’.

He and Tasoula were a love match, they were betrothed to each other since by their parents since they were seven. The match may not have been their choice in the beginning but they were undoubtedly soulmates.

Lestrange definitely had his fair share of relationships outside of his betrothal to Tasoula, but believe me when I say she was his queen. If he had to choose over his side whores and her, it would be her without question. She is the only one he ever truly loved.

He became a Knight of Walpurgis in his fifth year at Hogwarts when Riddle first started recruiting. Lestrange was second in command of the Knights, if Tom wasn’t there then Lestrange was in charge. Even since the early days of the Death Eaters the Lestrange family always held a position of power amongst Voldemort’s followers.

Close friends with Rosier Sr. — judging by the the French branch of the Lestrange family tree I’d say the two were probably distant cousins.

Lestrange is a seer, which was both a gift and a curse. He passed this ability onto his eldest son Rodolphus Lestrange.

He spoiled his children rotten, especially Renissa. She was daddy’s little princess in all regards. He’d do anything for her, she was the mini version of Tasoula and Lestrange adored her. There was nothing he wouldn’t give her, she was his whole world.

Lestrange held high expectations for Rodolphus as he was the eldest of his children. There was no doubt that when Rodolphus got older he would become a Death Eater like his father, much to Tasoula’s chagrin, although there was nothing she could really do about it.

Rabastan was of course going to follow in his father and older brother’s footsteps. All the sons of Voldemort’s Knights went on to become Death Eaters, especially if they were from prominent pure-blood families such as the Lestranges.

Radolphus and Tasoula would never disown their children if they decided not to fall in line with their family’s purist beliefs. This is mostly because Tasoula refused to abandon her children, she loved her sons and daughter too fiercely to ever cast them out. If Radolphus ever disowned one of his children then he better be prepared to lose his wife as well because wherever her kids go, she goes.

Don’t get me wrong, Radolphus was a pure-blood supremacist, he hates muggles and he doesn’t want them anywhere near his family, nor does he want any of his kids to defend or protect the very people threatening the magical integrity of the wizarding world. But family is family and he loves his kids and Tasoula, and I don’t think he’d be willing to just let them go like that.

Radolphus definitely had this talk with Tasoula when Walburga disowned Sirius. Tasoula was probably the one who started this conversation saying something along the lines of: “you can cast them out, you can disown them and pretend they never existed, but if you do that then you may as well erase me too, because wherever my children go, I go.”

I don’t think Radolphus would have ever considered disowning any of his kids anyway. I believe the Lestranges are a really loyal, tight knit family and they look after their own. After all their family motto is: Corvus oculum corvi non eruit (The raven did not pluck out the raven's eye), which essentially means they’d never betray each other.

Corvus was born early in Bellatrix and Rodolphus' marriage, which meant that Bellatrix was free from this mission and could pursue her desire to serve as a Death Eater.

He was raised to be completely intolerant and only began to question his family's teachings when he went to Hogwarts, his best friend being Félix Rosier. He was placed in Aunt Narcissa's custody following his parents' arrest.

Corvus moved to France as soon as he graduated, taking over the Lestrange family business. He tried to get close to his cousin Nymphadora after school and they exchanged some letters. In the second wizarding war he was already married and his wife was expecting their third child.

Bellatrix wanted him to be branded and take his place among the Death Eaters, but Rodolphus was a little more resistant, as he was happy that his son had brought the Lestrange family the former prestige that was lost with him and his brother's imprisonment. . He gets along well with both sides of the family, but is particularly close to Rabastan's son.

Delphini (who to me exists in whatever universe I'm imagining) would grow up hearing Corvus stories about her mother. But I don't imagine him raising her, I think he would be fine if the responsibility of Voldemort's daughter fell to someone else. In short, I imagine him as someone trying to distance himself as much as possible from his family's dark legacy, more cowardly to face her.

SHORT BIO: Arthur is a very angry person. With everything that happened in his past, he has that right. Growing up his biggest struggle was protecting his younger sister. An anagramm

The story of Isolt Sayre included how she travelled by ship to Britain, then America, disguised as a boy and under the alias "Elias Story", an anagram of her name.

It was a pretty significant element that I've been wondering about ... In this case, we would have two parallels the woman we see on the ship, which I've recently theorized to be a sister of Mr. Goldstein I called Esther (who could be the source of Tina's second name - and they do look a lot alike - see

She was titled "Credence aunt", and given that one way or another, she was on a mission to get him out of the country, she very likely travelled under an alias too - an anagram of her name is possible, I'm still working on re-arranging the letters of "Esther Goldstein" to an alias that would both function and hide her true identity enough. (the one who worked the best so far, in last name coverage and story relation too, was "Edith Greenlosst" - names usually foreshadow something in HP, and she seemed to have lost a "green", a member of the youngest generation in the family tree - but not only wasn't it her true name, the actual baby lived) "Elias" as a name refers to a prophet - specifically the one who, according to Wikipedia, will announced the coming of the Messiah ... idk, I feel like Isolt having this alias and the chance of someone (presumably a son) born in their family after a prophecy/to a seldom stellar constellation works surprisingly well

Side note: : By now I feel like JK wrote the history of Illvermorny first, then structured Fantastic Beasts around it ...

The Foreshadowing 4

Pointed out to me by a fellow redditor: moeykrimz pointed out to me that the quartett of Newt, Tina, Jacob and Queenie which forms in the first movie seems to represent one Illverrmorny house each:

Serpent: mind, scholar ; Tina

Wampus: body, warrior ; Queenie

Pukwudgie: heart, healer : Jacob (the founder James was also a no maj)

Thunderbird: soul, adventurer ; Newt

Also, again: we have the Slytherin parallel in Tina, the Legilimence one for Queenie, the non-magic one for Jacob, and the parallel to Chadwick Boot, the younger of the Boot brothers who's elder was an auror)

I'd love this as foreshadowing to the role Illvermorny may play in the future, aka as kind of present from the very beginning :)

“Gaunt” and “Barebone”

fifa_1995 on reddit pointed out to me that the names "Gaunt" and "Barebone" both are english slang for a "scrawny" or "haggard" person - plus, in the Gaunt line, there's also the name "Corvinus" :)

Btw at this point, I wonder if there is a connection between Corvus Lestrange and the Gaunts - maybe via a mother once more! How cool would that be, and if Credence was, after all, a relative of Leta in some way :DSirius said it long ago, pureblood families are all related :)

The “importance” of family

This dawned on me : If Credence is a descendant of this family, then we'd have a pretty good message about the "importance" of somebody's family - because as far as I can see, while the family tree had Salazar, Gormlaith, her ensuing line, which may or may not have a line to the Letranges, and, you could say, Antioch too who desired power, it also has Isolt's line, the added one of the Boots, and the one that would ultimately lead to the Potters/James ...

So, the family is pretty balanced on "bad" and "good" blood ... and what he makes of his life is, not just for this dynamic, completely his choice. I love that.

Parsel

(I should probably start an own blog concerning this theory...)

As mentioned before, Rionach II Steward chose not to have children, in fear of passing on the ability to speak Parsel.

Yet nobody seemed to consider that her sister, a squib, reproducing, might pass this gene on in her place.

Credence forms a close bond with a woman whom we know speaks the language. Coincedence? And while there's no solid proof either that Queenie or Tina speak Parsel, there isn't really a reason to rule it out - especially for Queenie.By the end of CoG, she is now in one place with not only Credence, but also Abernathy (whom we've seen has recieved an oddly forked tounge, implying he's been given the ability to speak the language), being the only people at Nurmengard she can form an honest bond with and who implied to switch sides one day ...

Plus, one reason why her and Tina may have kept this ability to speak/understand it absolutely secret is the same Ron and Hermione told Harry - it's an ability highly frowned upon and associated with dark magic by wizard society. This is precisely why Rionach refused to reproduce at all - and how absolutely ironic would it be if three descendants of her family at once would be born being able to understand and/or speak parsel, leaving her efforts completely in vain because, again, noone expected her non-magic sister to pass it on?(repeating myself, but - this.)

Rapport’s law

(I really gotta do something with this theory to make it more structured)

I've mentioned how the law that was established 1 1/2 centuries (which is long for us, but barely 2-3 generations living and dying alongside, even for muggles) likely banned Martha Steward's descendants from further communication with their magic family (huh, much like Tina was banned from contact to Credence ...) - and they were also faced with the chance that, if a magic child was born from the current family, it would be taken away - perhaps to their relatives, sure, but they'd still be banned from communcating with them.

On this level, it would make perfect sense if Martha's descendants, or at least some of them, perhaps someone who had married into another non-magic family already (here's where the name "Goldstein" may have come in) decided to leave, and asked for help from the Chadwick-Boot descendants, who then made contact with the Webster-Boots in Scotland so they'd have a place to stay and some help to start over in Britain ... seems very logical. Plus, that they'd stay in contact, not only for emotional bonds.

We know that, in Britian, the laws on how much muggles with a familiar connection to a magic one are much more eased (uncle Vernon was allowed to know about their existence before Harry was even born, and nobody ever came to obliviate him and/or say something to Petunia - and Lily and James met with them, so they knew he knew too. So, the Steward-Pocomtuc-Goldsteins and the adopted Sayre-Webster-Boots staying in contact is very likely - as is that, another few generations later, a daughter of the Boots and a son of the Goldsteins, not biologically related after all, would fall in love ...

Goldstein

JK Rowling once confirmed that Tina and Queenie are "distantly" related to Harry's schoolmate Anthony Goldstein ... which must mean there was another man (and he was in Britian!) who passed this name on... either an ancestor (we're talking about several generations after the arrival of the family after all, maybe one not even by this name) or a cousin of Esther and William, or a even brother (hey, 3) ... after several generations in the 90s, that would make them the nieces/cousin's children of his ancestor, and we're at distant :)

This, at least, gives us the confirmation that there are Goldsteins in Britian ours are related to :)

Marriage to the brother

Martha Steward married the brother of a friend of the Pocomtuc tribe. (this. .. is hilarious, actually XD)

Salazar’s non-magic bloodline

Since Rionach had no children, Martha Steward's line is the only one that still descends directly from Salazar Slytherin ... and this line ending with a non-magic descendant marrying a magic one, creating half-bloods that are muggle on his side ... again, this is my most valid reason to believe in the theory.

The sheer wholesome justice of Salazar's non-magic line existing and resulting (by adding magic blood from another line) in Tina, Credence and Queenie.

The Lestrange Family Tree

In Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, the subject of the Lestrange Family Tree is somewhat explained. The Lestrange family tree starts with a man named Radolphus Lestrange. Radolphus was minister for magic from 1835 until 1845 when he stepped down due to health reasons. It is unknown if Corvus Lestrange I was Radolphus’s son, but Corvus married a woman named Heloise Beaufort. The couple then had a son, Corvus Ⅱ. Corvus II married Minette Rosier and they had three children, someone with the first initial M(their full name is not yet known), Josette, and Corvus III. Corvus the third married his cousin, Eglantine Lestrange and they had a son. Can you guess his name? It was Corvus Ⅳ.

This is where The Crimes of Grindelwald comes in. Leta Lestrange father was Corvus Ⅳ. Corvus Ⅳ gave birth to Leta and Corvus Ⅴ. However, since both of them are dead, that branch on the family tree died with them. So how does Bellatrix Lestrange exist? Many people believe that Leta’s supposed brother Yusuf could have been a direct relative of Bellatrix, but he was born before Corvus Ⅳ imperiused Laurena and had Leta and Corvus Ⅴ. Therefore, Yusuf’s father was not Corvus Lestrange IV, it was Mustafa Kama, making him a Kama, not a Lestrange.

However, there is still a way for Bellatrix Lestrange to be a member of the Black family. If you remember, far back in the beginning, it is unsure whether or not Radolphus Lestrange is Corvus I’s father or how many children he had, so it’s likely that he had more than one child and one of his children began a branch on the tree that led to a man that went to Hogwarts at the same time as Tom Riddle. His first name is unknown, but he’s referred to as Lestrange and he was one of Voldemort’s first death eaters. It is thought that this Lestrange is the father of Rabastan and Rodolphus Lestrange. Rodolphus goes on to marry Bellatrix Black and they never had any children together. However, and spoiler alert for the cursed child ahead, in The Cursed Child, it is revealed that the main antagonist, Delphini is the child of Bellatrix and Lord Voldemort. And Since Delphini dies in The Cursed Child, unless Rodolphus remarried after he got out of Azkaban, that branch of the Lestrange family tree is dead.

I was supposed to go to bed at a decent time, but I jumped up at 2am to write a 2 page essay about this theory. I came up with this theory in March of 2018 when the first CoG teaser was released.

This theory contains MAJOR Fantastic Beasts SPOILERS. 

I believe that Credence is part of the Greengrass family. 

At the end of Crimes of Grindelwald, Grindelwald reveals to Credence that he is NOT a squib, NOT Corvus Lestrange, but actually Aurelius Dumbledore; supposedly some relative of Albus’s. HOWEVER, I do not believe this is the case at all.

When the first Crimes of Grindelwald teaser trailer was released, I was in London with my best friend for my sixteenth birthday and we had the privilege of getting to see The Cursed Child at the Palace Theater. Coincidentally, on that same day, the teaser dropped. At the time, we only knew that Credence was searching for his true identity, and that we had a new character who was a maledictus. The Nagini reveal had not been dropped yet.

We saw Cursed Child that night, and one of Draco’s lines stood out to me. “We were capable of having children, but Asoria was frail. A blood malediction, a serious one. An Ancestor was cursed...it showed up in her. You know how these things can resurface after generations.” (Harry Potter & the Cursed Child Part Two, Act Four, Scene 4) I remember sitting in the theater and freezing up at this line. Maledictal. Maledictus. This is important, I promise. 

For those who don't know, or who forgot, a maledictus is a blood curse that affects women. Eventually, they permanently turn into a beast, for example: Nagini. It's passed down through the bloodline, but it can skip generations. 

Draco Malfoy’s wife Astoria died from this blood malediction. We don't know the specifics, we know she got very sick so I assume that she had a milder version of the curse that just ended up killing her. Because if we look at Nagini’s case, she transformed into a snake and lived for a long time. (As far as we know. Currently, we know that the Fantastic Beasts timeline is leading up to what muggles know as World War II and started at the birth of Tom Riddle aka Voldemort. But that's a whole other can of worms, and I won't get into that mess because this theory focuses on Credence.) 

I promise this all leads up to Credence’s heritage, there's just a bunch of things to unpack in this theory. 

Now, Astoria’s maiden name is Greengrass, one of the Sacred 28 Pureblood Wizarding families, meaning her line goes back a WAYS. The Potters aren't even part of the Sacred 28. 

You may recognize the name Greengrass if you're like me and remember unimportant small details. Daphne Greengrass, Astoria’s older sister, was a Slytherin in Harry & Draco’s year at Hogwarts. She’s a minor character, first mentioned in Order of the Phoenix in Chapter 31, O.W.L.s. 

If you were to stumble onto Astoria’s Harry Potter Wiki page and scroll down to her list of family members, you will see the Malfoys, her sister Daphne, her son Scorpius, and an ‘unnamed ancestor.’

This ancestor is obviously the woman who passed the malediction down the Greengrass line. If you were to click on it, it brought you to a page that said just that, with a link to the page on “blood maledictions.” If you scrolled down to known victims, it would show you Astoria Malfoy and the then unnamed maledictus from Fantastic Beasts 2. Once the Nagini reveal had been released, and before someone realized the connection that is not necessarily canon yet, if you went back and clicked on this unnamed maledictus on that same page, it took you to Nagini. At that time (it's been updated since then), clicking “Astoria Malfoy’s unnamed Ancestor” took you to Nagini’s Page. 

This brings us back to 1928, where Credence Barebone is struggling to find his identity. 

You can't tell me that Credence and Claudia Kim’s Nagini didn't have chemistry, especially if you’ve watched the deleted scenes from Crimes of Grindelwald. 90% of them are just Credence and Nagini silently hanging out on the run, cuddling, surviving, etc etc. They have a strong bong after being stuck in that circus together. 

In order for the blood curse to be passed down, the victim obviously has to have someone to pass it down to. 

I strongly believe that Credence’s true identity is that he’s part of the Greengrass family. I’m assuming that he’s going to have a child with Nagini who will grow up to have Daphne and Astoria. 

Obviously there's a strong loophole here. Maybe Astoria’s ancestor is some other maledictus. But just how common are maledictuses? 

How unlikely is it that the two maledictuses, a curse that is PASSED DOWN BY BLOOD, are purebloods from the same line? Namely one of the Sacred 28 wizarding families, of which, may I remind you, THERE ARE ONLY 28. AND THEY'RE ALL RELATED. 

Now, you're probably wondering, “Then why are we being told that Credence is this ‘Aurelius Dumbledore’ dude?” 

Because Grindelwald needs him to believe it. 

Grindelwald can't move against Dumbledore because of their blood pact, but if he can convince Credence- an obscurus, a powerful obscurus- that he has a motive against Dumbledore, such as being abandoned, Credence will kill Dumbledore for Grindelwald. Grindelwald is lying to Credence so that he can use his power. 

“But what about the phoenix?” Credence didn't touch it. The phoenix appeared to Grindelwald, who then passed it to Credence. Grindelwald has a BLOOD PACT with Dumbledore, he essentially shares blood with Dumbeldore. He is lying to Credence, fabricating the past that Credence doesn't have to trick him. 

To reiterate: Credence is actually part of the Greengrass family, and if this is true, Nagini may be related to Draco Malfoy’s wife.

Aiden Turner as Arcturus Black III (1901-1991)

Short Background; Arcturus III was born in 1901, as the heir to parents Sirius Black II and Hesper Black I (nee Gamp).

Arcturus III was the oldest of 5 siblings the other four being Lycoris I in 1904, Regulus I in 1906, Altair Sirius Black in 1908 and Phoebe II in 1909.

In 1916 he had gotten his secret muggle-born girlfriend Acantha Twelvetrees pregnant and in fear of what his parents would do if they found out he sent her away.

In 1919 he married his cousin/first wife Vulpecula Marianne Black (nee Burke) and had their son Canis Herbert Black soon after followed by a girl they named Belvina Black II in 1924 with their second daughter Hesper Dolohova (nee Black II) born a year after her in 1925.

In mid 1925 his wife passed away due to an unknown illness leaving Arcturus III alone with their three kids.

After being pushed to remarry after the death of his wife as his oldest couldn't be his heir due to his health being too poor; Arcturus III married Melania Black (nee Macmillan) a young woman who adored her new stepchildren.

Arcturus III and Melania eventually had their daughter Lucretia Prewett (nee Black I) in late 1925.

4 years after Lucretia I they had their heir Orion Black in 1929 with their second daughter Vesperia Melania Lestrange (nee Black) being born a year later in 1930 followed by their youngest child Corvus Nigellus Black in 1939.

Short Background; Melania I was born in 1901, as the only child to parents Felix Macmillan and Eleanora Macmillan (nee Nightingale).

Melania I in late 1925 she married Arcturus III and the two had their daughter Lucretia Prewett (nee Black I) in late 1925.

4 years after Lucretia I they had their heir Orion Black in 1929 with their second daughter Vesperia Melania Lestrange (nee Black) being born a year later in 1930 followed by their youngest child Corvus Nigellus Black in 1939.
