While some may distinguish between visualization and meditation, the terms are often used interchangeably, particularly among practitioners of the Law of Attraction. As children, our imaginations run wild, visualizing ourselves in fantastical scenarios. Whether it’s…

How To Build the Woman You Want to Be - 2
Please go through the first part before doing this. It’s imperative that you understand the basics.
Step Five:
We will use Pinterest to visualise your new life so that you can attain it faster. Create a new board “My Story” and start sourcing the following:
* 3 pictures of your ideal hair
* 3 pictures of your ideal body
* 5 pictures of ideal physical accessories (bags, shoes, nails, jewellery, sunglasses… whatever resonates with you)
* 5 ideal outfits you want to own (casual, underwear, red carpet, brunch, pyjamas)
* 3 ideal hobby pictures (ballet? Horses riding? Reading?
* 5 ideal life pictures (meditating, working out, attending events, getting make up/hair professionally done…. Your ideal lifestyle!)
* 5 free time pictures (how you and your friends would hang out; how you and your S/O would hang out; family, pets…)
* 7 ideal home pictures (what’s your aesthetic - minimal/ Woodsy, what would the bathrooms look like, house or apartment…)
* 3 work life pictures (if you want to work - where would you work, what position, etc)
* 5 pictures of your ideal partner (how they would look, where they would work, dress, etc)
* 3 pictures of how you would relax alone (go for a walk with your pet? Massages? Read alone? You get the gist)
* 7 pictures of your ideal vacation
* 4 pictures of your ideal meals (breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner)
This is your visual diary. Whenever you feel down, not motivated, lazy, go through this board. This board visualises the best version of you. This is your best self (not was, or will be - this is your best self).
If you can print everything out and stick it on your wall - even better. Nothing like seeing exactly who you’re going to be everyday and claiming it!
Step 6:
It’s analysis time. This is probably going to be the most time-consuming part of the work that you have, but also the the first actual building block towards your Ideal Woman.
- Take a look at your New Story.
- As you read it, make a note (maybe write it on a piece of paper) of all the qualities that you see. Written them as keywords as bullet points. Qualities include all things belonging to your ideal personality (respected, kind, decisive…) and ideal skill set (strategic, creative….).
Ex:
• respected
• kind
• strategic
- Then read the story again and start making a separate note (with bullet points and keywords) about your material life (body type, healthy lifestyle, being clean, attending events, brunches, travelling, your hobbies…)
Ex:
• Toned body
• Clean space
• Reading
- Now read your two lists again. Put a tick mark next to the ones you think are realistic but attainable in at least 3 months. Put a heart next to the ones you feel will take more time and levelling up.
Ex:
Qualities:
• respected ❤️
• kind ✔️
• strategic✔️
Material:
• toned body ✔️
• clean space ❤️
• reading ✔️
• attending events ✔️
- The tick marked list is the list you will start working on immediately. Choose any 2 qualities and 3 material life from the tick marked list. We won’t work on all of them at once because you need to build that habit.
Ex:
• Kind
• Strategic
• Toned body
• Reading
• attending events
- For the next 3 months, you will actively work on your 5 to-dos. With your material life - let’s say for example, a certain body type - start working out from tomorrow itself. I don’t care whether it’s YouTube workouts or gym, you’re going to work on that first step. Or if it’s things like attending events - start by attending events and conferences in your industry or what interests you. Look up online for events happening in your city and go for at least one a month. Everything begins with baby steps.
- With your qualities, let’s say you want to be a good conversationalist. Start researching on the tactics of being a good conversationalist. Also search the opposite - how to recognise a bad conversationalist. Read articles, books, journals and scholarly articles. Practice on strangers when you go grocery shopping or at work. You need to put in the work.
- Not only will you work on your 5 to-dos, but you will set monthly goals for them. You will note down everything - in a journal or your notes app or maybe by taking pictures, however you feel comfortable- you need to quantify your progress.
Ex:
This Month’s Goals:
• Kind - tell my friends that I love them and that they deserve all the love
• Strategic - play brain games like chess to improve myself - play at least 2 times a week online
• toned body- work out for 20 days this month
• attending events - go to 2 conferences this month that are happening in my city or online
• Reading - finish one book this month.
- Every month you will check yourself. Only when you’ve accomplished at least 85% of the tasks will you add a new item from the tick marked list or remove an existing item that you finished.
- Every three months you need to go back to the New Story and your Pinterest board with greater detail. How close are you to your goal? If you think you’ve achieved something, give yourself a pat on the back!
The last and final part of this series will be uploaded after two days.

A long motivating list of celebrities who have admitted to using manifesting/shifting practices
Believe it or not, some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry have harnessed the power of manifesting to help get to the top. From athletes to actors and singers, there is no shortage of big names who have used this powerful method of change to turn their dreams into reality.
Beyoncé is a celebrity who openly talks about manifesting and shifting her emotions to create a world that makes her happy and successful. She believes in expressing herself through song and art and believes that those forms of creativity have helped her to create an amazing career.
Leonardo DiCaprio has also been vocal about how he uses manifesting and shifting practices in his own life. He says that by visualizing his goals, he's able to set himself up for success, making sure to focus on the good that comes from any situation.
Next we have, Oprah Winfrey. According to one of the most influential women in show business, she used a visualization technique called "The Law of Attraction" to manifest her success. She said, "The Law of Attraction says that whatever you think or feel, you attract into your life. I use this philosophy daily and have achieved great success."
Another star who has shared their success story is actor Will Smith. The award-winning actor said that manifesting how his future would look was an important factor in his success. He said, “I would literally forget what my goals were and start imagining myself achieving them. This created a strong feeling within me, allowing for a stronger connection to the Universe and helped me access greater opportunities."
Singer Ariana Grande also admitted that she has used manifesting techniques to reach her goals. In one interview, she said, “I practiced positive thinking and visualizing what I wanted during those times when I was going through hardships and it really worked. Little by little, I saw my life become what I wanted it to be." has been open about her journey with manifesting. She says, “If you are constantly affirmatively speaking — even if it's out loud — ‘I'm going to make this happen’, your energy shifts and you start to become magnetic and draw those experiences to you."
Emma Chamberlain who was literally one and maybe still is a YouTube sensation is also a self-proclaimed manifestor. She is often seen talking about how she uses manifesting and shifting to get the most out of her life. Chamberlain has been open and candid about her success and how she believes in the power of bringing your dreams into reality.
In her videos, she has talked about how she visualizes what she wants and then takes steps to make it happen. She has also said that when things don't go as planned, she shifts her energy to get what she wants. Chamberlain believes that these techniques give her an advantage and help her create the life that she wants for herself.
Melanie Martinez who become well-known for her hit single "Cry Baby" as well has her own eponymous album. She is also a self-professed manifestor and has said that she believes in the power of intention and shift to bring her dreams into reality. Martinez has said that through visualization, meditation and setting intentions, she has been able to create the life that she always wanted. She also has openly talking about shifting realities !
Chris Pratt, the star of movies like Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy. Chris recently spoke out about his faith and specifically about how he uses manifesting and shifting practices in his everyday life. He says that every day he writes down what he wants for his future and visualizes having it and spoke about the power of belief.
Model, actress and entrepreneur Tyra Banks also shared her story of manifestation. “I've always believed in manifestation. You know when you're a kid, you decide what you want to be and you go do it? I just always do that. It's not so much hard work, it's affirming. You affirm what you want and you work hard."
actor Ashton Kutcher wrote a heartfelt post on manifesting: “If ‘you manifest your dreams’ means having faith that if you believe something in your head and heart and take actions towards making it a reality, then that has been my experience.”
This one shocked me but Chris brown (ew) also had something to say about shifting and manifesting. He said Well, I use both of these tools daily. Whenever I have an idea or goal that I want to achieve, I focus on it completely. I visualize it, speak my desires out loud, and take action to make it happen. This helps me stay motivated and allows me to put my energy into what I really want.
I also use shifting to stay positive and creative. Whenever I'm feeling down or uninspired, I focus on positive thoughts and visualize what I want to achieve. This helps me shift my energy and get into a more creative headspace so that I can create the best work possible.
He said “My biggest tip would be to practice self-care and take time for yourself. When you are feeling overwhelmed or stressed, take a step back and focus on how you're feeling physically and emotionally. It's important to take care of yourself so that you can stay focused on your goals and manifest the things that you want in life.” I guess I’m not shocked because it would explain how he has gotten away with so much abuse and bigotry during his career.. but I digress.
Katy Perry has also spoken out about how she turned her dream of being a successful singer into a reality by using manifesting practices. To this day, she continues to use these practices to reach her goals. Taylor swift also admitted to doing something very similar and has her own manifesting method when she was a child.
NBA superstar LeBron James. Is also a celebrities who has openly shared his beliefS about his success. He recently revealed that he uses visualization techniques to help him reach his goals - from on-court performance to off-court business endeavors.
Jackie Chan also uses meditation and mindful exercises that he had admitted helped him a grove everything he wanted in this life.
Finally, professional athlete Kobe Bryant was open about his use of manifesting techniques to achieve his goals. He revealed that he used visualization techniques and positive thoughts to help reach his goals. He said, “By visualizing yourself doing something before you even attempt it, you can increase your confidence when you actually do it. This can help you become an even better athlete or performer."

HOW TO SHIFT TO VOID/DR/IMAGINATION (using yoga nidra!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ hi guys! I’ve been researching for ongoing shifting attempts I’ve been doing and I found out about a really interesting meditation/yoga method, yoga nidra, that looks like it could help a lot with visualizing our imaginations/4d and shifting to the void/dr! disclaimer- I’m like not at all an expert on this technique. yoga, or desi culture in general, I literally like just started researching it today, what I hope to do is introduce LOA methodology to some of this technique to help manifestors and shifters in their LOA journeys, if I get anything wrong, offend anyone or if theirs something you’d like to enlighten on, please comment, reblog, or send an ask! ♡ anyways let’s get onto the post ~ ]
Tumblr media
so, what is yoga nidra?
[ from my (brief) research, yoga nidra is a yoga technique which allows for access to the states between sleep and waking consciousness, which is relevant to manifestors and shifters because this intermediary state allows for the brain to be more susceptible to allow our subconscious to manifest our dream live and wants. Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice vital to the Hindu religion for millenia, but the specific form of yoga nidra I’ll be discussing was established during the 1970s, and I am mostly going off of the teachings of Satyananda Saraswati (this figure is controversial and is tied to accusations of sexual abuse, I in no way am supporting his actions and only want to share the information he provided with my additions, his action are super, super, gross, don’t support him as a person or financially). The following brackets will be profiling the seven steps needed to achieve the yoga nidra state. Also, this method is greatly aided by the assistance of a guided meditation, which can be provided through audio form such as through youtube or spotify (which there are numerous resources) or irl through a yoga instructor or friend, but make sure this environment is safe, and research your yoga gurus. you can lets begin ♡ ]
Tumblr media
HOW TO ACHIEVE YOGA NIDRA : STEP 1 - STARFISH / SAVASANA POSITION
[ the first position which is recommended for yoga nidra is to assume the shavasana position, more commonly known as the starfish position in western circles due to having all four limbs spread openly, similarly to the animal. We’ll be further using the effects of this technique during the course of the yoga nidra state. ]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
STEP 2 - THINKING WITH INTENT
[ this step might be familiar to shifters and some manifestors, as we’re often instructed to think with intent to achieve your desired manifestations or reality. In this state, we will think with intents to fully relax our mind and body, and later, think with the intention that no matter what, you will achieve your desired state or want, think with the intent that all limiting beliefs have been discarded. ]
Tumblr media
STEP 3 - ROTATION OF CONSCIOUSNESS
[ I think this is basically just body scanning, but can also be used as an oppurtunity to position your consciousness into that of the desired person, state, reality etc you want to achieve. Disconnect your body fully from the 3D world at this point, you should only be aware of the 4D world ]
Tumblr media
STEP 4 - AWARNESS OF BREATH
[ it’s basically what it sounds like lol, so just do your preferred breathing excercises ]
Tumblr media
STEP 5 - FEELINGS AND SENSATIONS
[ this is where you should start to visualize your inner world more vividly, invoking the ability to use your 5 senses in your inner world to further immerse your brain in this experience. I’ve already made a post (that no one read) about how to easily invoke your five senses to shift :) ]
Tumblr media
STEP 6 - CREATIVE VISUALIZATIONS
[ this is an extension of the previous step, where you visualize your inner world. in this step, the focus is specifically on the sense of vision in the inner world, where intense mental traning and concentration is used to invision complex imagery. remember, visualizing (and vision in general) is a sequence of succeeding imagery, it’s not that complicated at all, and you’ll become better and better every time you try! ]
Tumblr media
STEP 7 - INTENTIONAL THINKING - THE RE-UP
[ This final step invokes once again intentional thinking, but instead of easing you into the dream world, it eases you out, returning the mind to wakefullness. ]
Tumblr media
conclusion ~
[ what originally drawn me into this method was that it provided the clearest instruction of how to bring ourselves to the inner world I’ve seen before, and I hope it was able to inspire you also~ you’re going to manifest your desires, it’s literally destiny, remember that, and byeee! ♡ ]

Free Online Halloween Goodies
I made one of these lists every year and posted it on reddit but they deleted all my posts as spam a while back so I'm backing them up here!
Read - Abby Howard's short horror comics: An icon in the online horror scene (to me at least), Abby is known for crafting spooky stories with great art and her comics are a must read! The demo to Scarlett Hollow, her blockbuster visual novel, is also worth a play.
Play - QT: the so-called "anti-jump scare game" wherein you search through a spooky abandoned house trying to find your friends. It's super cute and perfect if you don't want something scary.
Listen - A Bnny Nghtmr II by BNNY RBBT: A Halloween themed visual album tied into a YouTube alternate reality game about a mysterious '90s pop star who vanished. The album uses unusual sounds and the autotune heavy style might seem grating at first but it's kind of mesmerizing and a good listen for the season.
Read - Ruby Quest and Nan Quest: Two legendary horror "quest interactives." The writing style is a little unusual and the artwork is kinda crunchy but trust me, they're gripping stories of people trying to survive terrifying ordeals, combined with escape room puzzles and psychological horror. I personally prefer Nan Quest (its "haunted hotel" setting really works and it's much more polished).
Watch - Lo by Travis Betz on YouTube: which is not only my favorite horror movie but quite possibly my favorite movie in general? It's about a man who summons a demon to find his missing girlfriend, it's very low-budget but it's incredibly creative and a great meditation on love and loss.
Read - Emily Carroll's comics: You might have seen these floating around before but they're good, His Face All Red is the perfect Halloween ghost story.
Play - The Night Is Darkening: a short, free horror game about a ship that gets stranded on a floating island. It's just a simple exploration game but gothic energy is strong with this one, despite the short length it had tremendous world building that made me so intrigued. More unsettling than scary.
Browse - MORTASHEEN: an online database of fictional monsters from the creator's fantasy setting. If you're into creature design and unconventional monsters and somehow haven't heard of this, get on it now.
Read - ALL HAIL THE MONUMENTAL HORROR-IMAGE: An article posted to The Outline that I think fans of horror would be very interested in, it’s in slideshow format so you essentially just scroll through screen caps of iconic moments from horror movies interspersed with text from the author opining on what exactly it is that makes them so effective.
Watch/Listen - Evil Dead: The Musical: A campy parody of the already campy horror franchise, the original Canadian cast of this show was professionally recorded for posterity and has made its way onto YouTube. The video is pretty potato quality but you know what, we’re lucky to have this at all.
Play - The Open House: A very unique horror game that takes the form of, of all things, a virtual guided house tour through a fairly mundane piece of real estate that slowly reveals itself as a house of horrors. While there are a few obligatory jump scares, the game relies mostly on the unsettling atmosphere and brilliant pacing to lure you in and keep you hooked until the terrifying end. A short game (twenty minutes if you’re quick) can be played in browser or downloaded, but here’s a play through as well.
Watch/Listen - Ghost Quartet: A one of a kind musical/theatrical experience. the show weaves a complex interlocking narrative that I can’t even begin to unpack but is ultimately about four friends who get together on a dark night to tell ghost stories. It’s an old school style of spooky, telling out tales of love, betrayal, revenge, and of course ghosts, all spelled out through abstract metaphor and fantastic music.
Read - Jared Pechacek’s Annual Harvest Festivals: A thread of microfiction tweets each describing mysterious local harvest festival traditions from a town called Springfield in every state in America. The brief descriptions are evocative and offer a fun twist on some classic Americana, sounding both familiar and surreal.
Listen - Old Radio Plays: There’s a certain kind of vintage charm to these old radio programs that’s very comforting, and while I don’t pretend to be an expert in these types of things I’ve linked to a handy tumblr post where another excited recommender has compiled some that they felt were noteworthy.
Watch - Daisy Brown: Daisy Brown is a web series that exploded onto the scene back in 2017 with the video “How I Feed Alan,” which shows a cheerful young woman feeding sugar pills to some kind of monster. The strange juxtaposition of the grotesque imagery with Daisy’s completely casual tone was instantly intriguing, and over the course of the next two years she’d upload regular vlogs that gradually unraveled the mystery behind this strange family.
Play/Read - The Shadows That Run Alongside Our Car: A fully illustrated visual novel that tells the story of two strangers driving a car through the zombie apocalypse towards an uncertain fate. It’s very well written, has great atmosphere, and the theme of searching for hope and human connection in the face of inevitable demise is more timely than ever.
Listen - LVCRFT: Basically they’re a collective of (pretty high profile) artists in LA who got together and decided to create Halloween music, and it slaps! They have several excellent albums full of spooky tunes that you should be bumping to while they’re still seasonal!
Read - Crow Cillers: The basic gist of the plot is that a group of kids get tangled up in the machinations of a cult who are trying to control an otherworldly dimension(?) called Ynce Iche, but that's just the starting point for where this comic goes because it's the kind of story that tears itself apart and sews itself back up. A diverse cast of characters and well written dialogue bring a lot of life to this experimental webcomic.
Watch - Local58TV: The brainchild of Kris Staub, a perennial fave of the online horror scene. The videos are short films designed to look like news broadcasts from a world similar to our own, but also different in a few key ways. Found footage VHS horror has been a growing field in the past two years and imo this is the best it's been done yet.
Play - Symposium of Grief: The story of a ghost trying to find his lost heart, this one is a bit more emotional than the others listed here. It takes place in a spooky town full of ghosts and monsters but it's more about trying to find connection and a purpose in life than anything else; the writing is funny and the art is gorgeous and I have no clue why it's free because it seems super high effort.
Play/Read - the uncle who works for nintendo: Is this a cult classic? A text based adventure game about being a kid and going over to your friend's house for a sleepover that goes very, very wrong. I don't want to say too much and spoil it but suffice to say this is more hair raising than you'd expect. Can be played in browser so you don't have to download anything!
Listen - Ellise: Ellise makes short, catchy pop songs that have horror themes, with her last EP being centered around fairy tales in particular. It's a bit "edge lord" at times but hey, that's part of the fun!
Read - Fuan No Tane: A cult favorite manga, Fuan No Tane is a collection of unsettling ghost stories inspired by the unusual urban legends of Japan. It's slice of life in a way, there's no plot and every entry is pretty short (some just a few pages long), but the imagery and mundane-cum-horrifying tone really stick with you.
Watch - Ultraman Max Episode 22: "Butterfly Dream": Kind of a wildcard pick but if you're into the more surreal side of horror then this one is for you. While the typical episode of Ultraman would see the hero fighting some sort of rubber suit monster, "Butterfly Dream" instead is a bizarre, experimental story about a man attempting to write an episode of Ultraman, a woman trying to craft the perfect monster, and the hero caught in the middle.
Play - Don't Get Spooked!: A twine horror game from Halloween aficionado bogleech.com, this is a silly little comedy game where you click links to navigate a haunted house and try to collect all of the endings. Very dumb but a lot of fun.
Watch - The Black Tower: A classic short horror film about a man who notices a new building on the horizon… and then can’t stop noticing it. The story is told entirely through voiceover and mainly static footage, which gives the film a dreamy and unsettling atmosphere, and the “monster” feels very unique even today. I think if you like the more artsy and understated side of the horror world you’ll appreciate this.
Play - There’s A Bear Outside: Spend the night in a cabin and encounter a totally normal bear. An unusual spin on the “campfire story” formula, this interactive text game loosely tracks the stories of different people who encounter a surreal thing (really, a completely normal bear) which causes their lives to spill open. Kinda spooky, kinda silly, kinda a surprisingly emotionally cutting exploration of the human experience.
Read - Third Shift Society: A supernatural action comic about a down-on-her-luck girl who discovers psychic powers that conveniently land her a job as a “Paranormal Detective” and adventure ensues. Kind of a stock standard Webtoon but it was nominated for an Eisner Award and also one dude has a pumpkin for a head, so, that’s fun!
Watch - Headless: A Sleepy Hollow Series: A web series that offers comedic take on the classic Legend of Sleepy Hollow, following meek school teacher Ichabod Crane as he tries to unravel the mystery of the Headless Horseman that haunts his new hometown. Chock full of crazy characters and wacky circumstances, the show has an interesting sense of humor but manages to land a lot of good jokes while still crafting a surprisingly compelling story.
Read - Katalepsis: An ongoing urban fantasy web serial with major horror elements that follows the adventures of a young woman who discovers that the gruesome hallucinations that have plagued her since her childhood are real, a revelation which almost literally throws her into a world of strange people with stranger powers. Has a relatable protagonist, a unique story, creative world building, strong character development, and also like every character in this book is a queer woman.
Watch - Zombie Prom: Boy meets girl, boy and girl break up, boy drives into a nuclear power plant and comes back as a zombie… that old story. And it’s a musical! This short film (a bit over a half hour) is a super campy parody of ‘50s teen romances with a lot of fun songs, perhaps a little low-budget but that’s just part of its charm. Notably features RuPaul as a villainous high school principal.
Read - Angel Chain: An ongoing web comic about two dysfunctional sisters who encounter an “angel” who they can control using charms attached to their flip phones, but not all is as it appears. Sort of like a bastardized parody of anime/creature collectors/‘00s culture, this comic isn’t very far along yet but it stands out for eye catching art style and delightfully emo sensibilities. Be sure to explore the homepage for secret links too~
Play - Night Work: This interactive comic casts you as a janitor on a space ship who does his best to survive when things go horribly wrong. A simple story elevated by the beautiful black/white/red color palate and some smart gameplay choices. Plays in-browser so there’s no download required and it’s really quick, though you’ll probably want to do it a few times to get the different endings.
Play - The Anthology Of The Killer: A series of short games about a young woman named BB who goes on misadventures and meets all sorts of kooky characters... who want to kill her. Swim through a haunted waterpark, stumble through the dark backrooms of a cursed theatre, survive the art in a judgemental museum, become the herald of a new form of music, and more! The visual style is immediately striking, very punk and surreal, but what makes the games stand out is their great sense of humor and unexpected intelligence- you'll find yourself thinking and laughing at the most unexpected moments.
Explore - Welcome Home: A fansite for a (fake) children's show called Welcome Home that was mysteriously "lost..." perhaps for a good reason. The characters and the fake show seem very cute, but as you click around the site you might stumble across several links that hint at something darker lurking beneath the cheerful exterior. Tying together the internet's fascination with lost media with the rise of "mascot horror," it's no wonder that this went viral earlier this year, which is great because it means there are a lot of "explained" videos/articles out there for people (like me) who don't have the patience to actually do ARG bullshit.
Watch - The Search For The Next Elvira: A deep cut from Elvira lore is that back in 2007 she concocted a reality competition show where she put thirteen youngsters through a series of challenges to determine who could best fill her bra shoes and it is peak '00s reality television- there is no budget, it's super cheesy, nothing makes sense, and yet you just can't stop watching. At only four 40 minute episodes, it's a fun little thing to have in the background.
Play - Elevator Hitch: A unique visual novel with escape room elements about a young man starting a new job at a corporate office finds himself sharing an elevator with an annoying executive... and that's just the start of the horror! Explore nine different floors, each with their own twisted puzzles, and try to find a way to freedom... if it even exists. Witty writing, a charming anime inspired aesthetic, and plenty of surprises in store.
Explore - A Book Of Creatures: A cute little blog devoted to recording different "creatures" found in mythology and folklore from all around the world. If you're a monster lover like me this site is a treasure trove because the creator goes pretty deep with the references and pulls up some fairly obscure creatures- and provides beautiful illustrations for each.
Watch - Gregory Horror Show - An animated series of short episodes that tell the story of a human who arrives at a mysterious boarding house full of terrifying creatures that make his every waking minute a nightmare. It's a more cartoonish take on horror but the memorable cast of characters and the surprisingly compelling story have made it an enduring cult classic.
Read - Dustin K Couch's Creepypastas: This creator has gone viral several times for his unique format of short form comedic horror stories that come in the form of fake social media screenshots about surreal phenomenon that takes hold via the web. Short, amusing, slightly unsettling, and punchy. Also on tumblr if you don't want to go to xitter.

ngl I wish more people knew about aphantasia bc it does kind of frequently ruin my life lol like it's a severe disability that just seems to get passed over as a funny "hehe which aple u see!" engagement-bait post every few months on social media.
ppl are always like oh but tumblr user spandexual you're so creative and descriptive though and it's like yeah well I have to be. I don't know what you fucking look like if you're not in front of me. I have to mentally store your features as a little mathematical list and put it away in my little mental filing cabinet. I can't pick up new skills if they're just shown to me because I have no visual recall, I need to physically do it enough times that I can do it physically blind. I can't "just picture" a concept you're telling me so you huff and puff and have to draw it out on actual paper and call me stupid for not getting it from just your stupid little visual descriptions. Meditation is completely pointless outside of simple breathing exercises. Telling me to imagine a fucking beach?????? The beach at the sea??????? I can't entertain myself with daydreams and scenarios in my head I thought those were fucking hollywood storytelling devices I didn't know normal people could just watch fucking youtube in their minds. I can't do so much fucking shit everyone thinks of as "a normal thing every human can do regardless of physical ability" and not to be a fucking emo teen from 2005 on the dash but you don't understand how much it fucking hurts. to think that if I lose my ability to see what I create I'll be left with fucking nothing in my head but black.
at least I'll never have to worry about a character "not looking like I imagined they would in the book". never understood people bitching about that until I found out about aphantasia

-How to glow up mentally-
I think we've all searched for glow up videos on YouTube or tiktok at one time or another, trying to change our appearance to better fit into the 'beauty standards'. What I have personally learned over the years is that a glow up starts from within. If you hate yourself, even a new haircut won't do you any good. For that reason, here are my 5 favorite tips for a mental glow up.
discipline over motivation I know, often people in the selfceare community talk about taking time for yourself, applying face masks, taking bubble baths and so on. But taking care of yourself and nurturing yourself also means working on your goals with discipline. Even if I don't feel like doing sports today, I do the workout because I'm doing something good for my body. This doesn't only apply to sports, but also to schoolwork, I don't procrastinate and divide my time wisely to save myself stress later.
vision boards I think this point is self-explanatory. Creating vision boards is not only fun, it helps us visualize our goals and motivates us to work towards them. I love creating vision boards. On my vision boards I put everything from professional goals to goals about my appearance, fashion, hobbies and social life. I can recommend you to use not only instagram and pinterest for mood boards but also google. Look at fashion shows, online magazines, etc., because these posts are not already filtered by your algorhythm on Pinterest and you can discover new aesthetics and whatnot that you might not have found otherwise.
new hobby Having a hobby not only allows you to express yourself in a sporty or creative way, but it also makes you more interesting. First of all, if it is a hobby that you do in groups or associations, you can easily meet new people and increase your social circle, but it also gives you topics of conversation in other situations, such as dating.
create a morning and night routine for yourself I know, especially when you are in a funk and not doing so well mentally, it is often hard to perform routines. But you don't need to get up at 4am, then go to the gym, clean the house, meditate, journal and then read a book. Particularly when it's a little harder for me to stick to my routines, I pick the three to four most important things. Mostly for me that's yoga, my Shower and SkinCare routine and a healthy breakfast.
meditation Meditation has many proven benefits including stress management, self-awareness, improved mood, creativity, and imagination. It is an amazing way to connect with your soul & practice self-care. On Youtube there are guided meditations for any different topics: to relax, to manifest, for beauty, motivation and so on… I promise you 10 minutes of meditation a day for a month will make you feel more relaxed and confident. If you use meditation for manifestation it can also help you to focus on your goal.
-Love, L ♡

432Hz Frequency - Unlocking Deep Healing and DNA Repair
There are some who believe that music with 432Hz (Hertz or cycles per second) is an energy that is healing. This tuning is said to be in tune with the patterns of vibration in the universe, and support the growth of spirituality and wellness. However, does it really work? If yes, how? Enhance Mental Clarity Proponents of 432Hz argue that it resonates more closely with earth's electromagnetic oscillations, thus promotes feelings of being in synchronicity with nature. They also boast that it may help to reduce anxiety and stress, improve memory, boost mood and improve mental clarity. They also assert that music played at this frequency can sound clearer and more harmonious. It also has a calming effect on listeners. It is also a great way for promoting relaxation and meditation as well as a deeper state of mindfulness. These claims are supported by "cymatics" which is the process of vibrational bodies, such as water or plates made of metal, which demonstrate how patterns form. It's important, however, to keep in mind that this kind of visual can be created in other frequencies than 432 Hz. Reduce Anxiety and Stress It's not difficult to say that music recorded at 432 Hz sounds different. But is it superior? The Schumann resonance is believed to be in tune with this frequency. The Pythagorean tuning method is also mentioned in addition to the fact that Mozart, Verdi and Beethoven all used this pitch. Within these circles, fuzziness in math and nonsequitur numbers are commonplace. 432, for example is cited as the sum of three prime numbers, length of the apogee of moon, or as the number that corresponds to specific cosmic energies. These claims could be based on data from anecdotes and easily devolve into conspiracy theories but there is some evidence that music played at 432 Hz could have a healing effect. Studies have shown for example that listening to soothing, relaxing music may reduce cortisol an inflammatory hormone that causes stress. Better Sleep Some prefer 432Hz as it's soothing and natural. It also aids in relaxation of the mind and body. Music that is tuned to this frequency is also believed to help facilitate a deeper concentration and assist meditators to focus more on their intentions. In the most bizarre corners of literature on 432Hz, strange math and nonsequitur figures get wild. There are claims that concert pitch is related to the size of the moon, the length of a kali yuga or any other figures that are not related. Many musicians choose to use 432Hz on their recordings, despite the fact that 440Hz is the standard tuning frequency. There are many famous artists such as Terrence Howard, Andrea Bocelli, and the late rapper XXXtentacion.
youtube
More Inspiration and Creativity A lot of theorists say that music that is tuned at 432 Hz has a sound more pleasant and harmonic and is also more beneficial to physical and mental health. Many theorists believe that music tuned to 432 Hz enables musicians to express themselves more clearly, and might even have a healing affect on the body. It is vital to know that there is no research-based evidence that 432Hz music has healing properties. However, there's been a flurry of videos on YouTube with songs that use 432 Hz tuning. There are numerous that have been removed for copyright violations, but you are still able to find plenty of music using 432 Hz tuning on YouTube. Certain theorists claim that Pythagoras and Mozart employed 432Hz as their regular tune. Fuzzy numbers and non-sequitur numerology are frequently used to support this assertion, but these claims are in fact based on a subject called Cymatics. It studies vibrational modality. Increased Immune System Strengthening Research indicates that Solfeggio frequency can repair and heal DNA. However, the field is in its very initial stages. This is a thrilling discovery especially when you consider that damaged DNA is the main cause of a variety of diseases. The 432 Hz frequency is popular among those who practice sound healing, alternative and holistic healers, as well as New Age believers. It is believed that the frequency resonates with the natural earth frequency, bringing listeners a sense of well-being and peace. The frequency is believed to be tuned to the divine and nature. The advocates of the healing qualities of 432 Hz music often point to Pythagoras' tuning system, Mozart and Verdi's use of the tuning standard in their work, and the harmonic relationship between 8 Hz (the Schumann resonance) and A (432 Hz). These claims, however are unproven. They're probably based mostly on confirmation bias rather than scientific evidence. Watch the video here

432Hz Frequency - Unlocking Deep Healing and DNA Repair
There are some who believe that music with 432 Hz (Hertz or cycles per second) is an energy that is healing. This frequency is thought to align with the vibrational patterns in the universe, and support spiritual development and well-being. But is it actually effective? If yes, in what manner? Better Mental Clarity The 432 Hz advocates claim that the frequency resonates closer with the Earth's electromagnetic wave, which promotes a feeling of harmony with the environment. It can also help reduce stress and anxiety, enhance memory, boost mood, and increase mental clarity.
youtube
They also say that music tuned to this frequency sounds clearer and more harmonious, and has the effect of calming listeners. It can also be used to help promote relaxation and meditative as well as more mindfulness. These claims are supported by "cymatics", which involves vibrating bodies, such as water or metal plates, that demonstrate how the patterns develop. However, it is crucial to be aware that these types of visuals are possible at other frequencies than 432 Hz. Reduce Anxiety and Stress There's no doubt that music tuned to 432 Hz can sound different. Are there any advantages? It is not. Schumann resonance is believed to be tuned to this frequency. The Pythagorean tuning method is also mentioned, as well as the fact that Mozart, Verdi and Beethoven all utilized this pitch. Fuzzy math and non-sequitur numerology gets out of control in these circles, with 432 cited as the sum of three prime numbers, the distance to the apogee of the moon or a number which corresponds to certain cosmic energy sources. Although these assertions are based on anecdotal evidence and may easily turn into conspiracy theory, there is some support for the idea that music played at 432 Hz has an effect that heals. For example, research has shown that listening to soothing music reduces cortisol levels the stress hormone. Better Sleep People who favor 432 Hz say it sounds more natural and relaxing, and helps to relax both the mind and body. This type of music frequency is believed to aid in deeper state of meditation and also help the meditator focus more on the goal they are trying to achieve. In the nastiest corners of literature on 432Hz, fuzzy math and nonsequitur numbers run wild. There are theories that say the pitch of a concert is connected to the size of the moon, or the length of the kali yuga or other non-related figures. Many musicians choose to use 432Hz on their recordings, despite the fact that 440Hz is the standard tuning frequency. Some of them are well-known artists like Terrence Howard and Andrea Bocelli as well as the late rapper XXXtentacion. Increased Creativity and Inspiration Certain theorists believe that music at 432 Hz sounds more appealing and harmonic, and best for your mental and physical health. They believe that tuning to this frequency can allow musicians to express their emotions more effectively and could have an effect of healing on the body. It is important to note that there is no scientific proof that 432 Hz music is healing. Despite this, there has been a flurry of videos on YouTube featuring music in 432 Hz tuning. Many of them have been removed for copyright violations, but you can find a wide range of music that is tuned to 432 Hz online. Theorists have claimed that Pythagoras, Mozart, Verdi and other classical composers used 432 Hz as their primary tuning. Fuzzy mathematics and non-sequitur numerology frequently used to support this claim, however these claims are in fact founded on a area of study known as cymatics, which studies vibrational modality. Immune system enhanced Research suggests that Solfeggio frequency can be used to repair and heal DNA. However, the science is in the very beginning stage. This is an exciting finding, particularly given that damaged DNA is the main cause many illnesses. Whatever the scientific evidence, 432 Hz music has gained popularity amongst holistic and alternative healers as well as sound healers as well as New Age beliefs. The frequency is believed to resonate with the natural frequency of earth, giving listeners a sense of tranquility and well-being. The frequency is believed to be at a synchronicity with God and nature. Many of the proponents of 432Hz music point out the Pythagorean tuning system, Mozart's as well as Verdi's use of this tuning in their work, and the relation between A (432Hz) and 8 Hz. But, these claims are usually unproven and are more likely to be built on confirmation bias than real scientific evidence. Click for the video

The Dancing Flame’s Fire Meditation Brønshøj Wisdom
Fire meditation is an exceptional manifestation of meditation, within which one takes a fire element for observation, typically a burning candle, to have a meditation experience. It is emerging with increasing clarity as the outlet of the Brønshøj inhabitants for its healing and quieting powers. Fire meditation Brønshøj practice can help improve concentration and stimulate the mind.
Tumblr media
From scattered thoughts to Laser-sharp focus
Boosted Focus and Concentration: The flame’s flickering motion acts like a visual anchor which helps in concentration improvement as well as keeping the mind off wandering.
Enhanced Creativity: While fire can present a constant challenge to even the most capable firefighters, it can also provide art inspiration and ignite new thoughts.
Connection to Nature: One can not only connect with one of the four basic natural elements by means of fire meditation but get a sense of being in union as well.
 Performing it Safely
Choose a Safe Environment: Such practice should be undertaken in a space that lacks flammable materials and other distracting factors.
Use a Controlled Flame: On the other hand, the candle's flame is a source of fire that is both safe and controlled for fire meditation.
Monitor Your Meditation: Prepare your session by using a timer which will ensure good practice.
Obtain Peace From mindfulness meditation Brønshøj
Mindfulness meditation involves the cultivation of moment-to-moment, nonjudgmental awareness of one's present experience, whether narrowly or more broadly focused. The goal of these practices is to cultivate a stable and nonreactive awareness of one's internal (e.g., cognitive-affective-sensory) and external (social-environmental) experiences. Therefore, it can be argued that it is the development of stable attention and nonjudgmental awareness that mediates the much wider range of effects, including physical relaxation, emotional balance, behavioral regulation, and changes in self-judgment, self-awareness, and relationship with others.
Improvements in each of these areas of functioning may then decrease the experience of stress. Although other mediating processes may also be involved, including direct effects on physiological aspects of stress and relaxation, meditation practice is better conceptualized as a way of changing the usual processes of attention, awareness, and cognition. These attentional skills enable ~ one to disengage from or limit usual emotional or analytical reactivity to the object of attention and to respond to life more mindfully. Suspending these habitual reactivity patterns may then facilitate the emergence of self-regulatory functions that are experienced as healthier, more balanced, or somehow "wiser" in an enduring way and reflective of sustained neurophysiological change.
Meditation may not be unique in its ability to facilitate this type of processing. Still, evidence suggests that adapting these tools from their traditional roots to a therapeutic context is promising. Although concentrative techniques also cultivate attentional stability, with a wide range of documented effects, mindfulness practices may more quickly engage nonreactive awareness and growth within particular areas of functioning.
Where to Go for free guided meditation for anxiety
For those seeking in-person classes or online resources, here are some of the best places to turn:
Local studios/teachers: Nearly every city now has specialized meditation studios and qualified teachers providing group and one-on-one sessions for beginners.
Apps: Endlessly growing app options like Calm, Headspace, Insight Timer, and others offer guided meditations and reminders perfect for starting.
Online programs: Many meditation centers and teachers now offer virtual courses, retreats, and content exploring foundational practices and mindfulness.
YouTube: This platform hosts a treasure trove of meditation for beginners free along with guided lectures talks by renowned teachers like Jon Kabat-Zinn and Thich Nhat Hanh.
Conclusion
It's important to remember that both fire meditation and mindfulness meditation can offer numerous benefits, from improved concentration and creativity to a deeper connection with nature and enhanced mindfulness. When practicing fire meditation, it's crucial to ensure safety by choosing a suitable environment and using a controlled flame. On the other hand, mindfulness meditation can help cultivate nonjudgmental awareness and lead to improvements in various areas of functioning, potentially reducing the experience of stress. For those seeking guided meditation to manage anxiety, there are various options available, including local studios, meditation apps, online programs, and YouTube resources. By exploring these practices, individuals can find effective ways to incorporate meditation into their daily lives and experience its positive effects.

Water fasting: why, when, and how?
Though I am no nutritionalist, I have compiled just a quick outline of what my water fast consisted of as well as some of the reasonings behind doing it, and the aftercare. I was inspired to do a water fast after hearing many female friends of mine talk about how much they loved it - how they felt their most creative and energetic, some even claiming to feel an euphoric high. During my Vision Quest back in October 2023, I also did a 3 day water fast; however, that felt different, as I was less focused on the health effects and more on the spiritual side. As I remember the lack of eating being way easier than I thought, I was hopeful that doing it again would prove to be the same result. Spoiler alert: it totally was.
Why?
To give my body a break to allow itself to clean and purify itself. Our body begins to burn white fat into brown fat, stem cell growth is stimulated, our dopamine system gets a reset, diseased cells get a chance to be flushed out while white blood cells increase and have time to do their reparative work.
Ancestrally, when we would go on a hunt, this is a period where we would not be eating. This would allow us to be lighter, more agile, and put us into a more focused state. Then, in the spiritual sense, it gives us more space to dedicate our energy towards something else. Cultures and religions worldwide practice fasting for various reasons - Yom Kippur, for example, is the Jewish day of atoning for our sins. Growing up, the decision to fast was always optional (and then encouraged after you had your bar/bat mitzvah (age 13 for boys and in some communities, age 12 for girls). After I had my Bat Mitzvah, I chose to fast as I wanted to be a part of what the community was doing. This day was spent home from school and usually doing homework with my friends at temple while services were going on. Because of this, I know doing a 24 hour fast is totally doable, and many people report the first 24 hours is the hardest. I can attest that to be true - this is the first day where you wake up and think “aw man, my stomach just grumbled and I can’t do anything about it”. This is when you reach for some water, use that to fill yourself up, and find something else to do to distract yourself.
When?
After my bleed, before ovulation. Can also be done after ovulation as long as it’s finished before bleed time. When I don’t have much to do so I’m not stressing about needing energy.
I found Dr. Mindy Pelz on YouTube when looking up advice for how to fast as a woman and am now a fan of her podcast, The Resetter Podcast. Here is a video where she explains when women should fast. I like it because she has visuals and is very clear and concise! Then, if you want more detail, I’d recommend this podcast where she is interviewed and talks about the benefits (she says that it has helped women who had been struggling with fertility to become pregnant! And help heal people with PCOS!), do’s and don’ts of fasting, and what goes on in our bodies hormonally.
The first day was when I thought the most about food. Day two was pretty breezy, I’d say the easiest of them all. I woke up feeling quite energized! My theory is that I feel like my tendency to eat at night makes my body get less rest as it sleeps. This meant waking up with a fully charged battery made me feel much more rested! On the third day, I was getting more head rushes if I got up too quickly, and did not feel as energetic. Every morning I stuck to my ~half an hour morning yoga/pilates practice as my exercise, and was doing minimal walking besides that. I had some goals for what I wanted to do with my time, like finish a few projects, practice guitar, meditate, then my evenings were spent reading or chatting with the people at the campsite where I was staying.
How?
It is recommended to decrease the amount of carbohydrates you eat three-four days before the fast so your body already gets used to burning fats for energy (instead of carbs). Though, I did not do this. Take my advice, I don’t need it! Hahahaha. Anyway, from Monday until the evening of Wednesday, my water fast looked like this:
* morning cuppa: herbal tea (I chose ginger and lemongrass) with a capful of apple cider vinegar, a pinch of salt, and a few teaspoons of MCT coconut oil
* water
* black coffee with MCT oil
* water
* water
* water
* herbal tea
Water fasting makes it sound like you can ONLY drink water, when in reality, the emphasis is keeping yourself in a fasted state. This means your blood sugar does not rise and your body can go into ketosis, where it burns fats as fuel instead of carbs. This is why Vinnie from Jersey Shore ate just the pepperoni and cheese off the pizza that one episode - he did not want to break his state of ketosis with the carbs of the dough.
Truly another big reason I wanted to fast is because I love the extra time it gives me in the day. It feels so spacious to not have to think about what to eat, cook it, eat it, clean up… because that’s actually a large portion of the day if you eat three meals! Instead, any time I feel hunger, I take a swig of water and the moment passes. I love knowing how optional food is, as well. This helps when I am going about my day and feel hunger arise. If I can survive three days on water, it makes any other time in my life pale in comparison! It lowers my anxiety about eating since I know what I am capable of.
After the fast, it is recommended to eat mainly broths and soups for the first 48 hours. The idea is to remain in ketosis for longer, so stick to proteins, fats, and cooked vegetables (steamed or boiled so the fiber is easier for your body to digest). Introducing fruits and carbohydrates comes in later.
I broke the fast with:
First: half cup of water, apple cider vinegar, and lemon juice.
Second: one cup of bone broth*
*I love “Best of the Bone” brand here in Australia. It’s about $30 AUD and lasts me around two months. All I do is heat up some water, pour it in a mug, scoop out about a half tablespoon or so of the concentrated broth, and stir it in. Best way to coat the intestines to prepare for food and it is sooo delicious! I’ve tried every flavor and can say my favorite is the bio-fermented coconut, lemon myrtle, Tumeric, and papaya leaf one.
Third: boiled broccolini with an organic beef hamburger patty*, kimchi, avocado, and goat cheese. I boiled the broccolini then sautéed it with some coconut oil, salt, and pepper. Everything I served with a bit of ghee** on the side.
*Note: I do NOT recommend breaking the fast with beef like I did. After doing more research, I would have stuck to a more lean kind of protein, like fish or egg or chicken, as I think my body freaked out with the beef. For vegetarians, pea protein was specifically recommended. I actually had painful diarrhea and believe it was either the meat or the goat cheese that my intestines were not ready for. Whoops. So please, learn from my mistake :-D
**This is the first time I purchased ghee for myself - I had had it before in small amounts to test and see how my stomach reacted (I am lactose intolerant, not very sensitive though) and always felt fine! It’s like butter as it’s made from cows milk, but has a lot less lactose. The reason is because its made by melting butter, separating it into liquid fat and milk fat, and then they toss out the milk fat so just the pure fat remains.
How did it feel to eat for the first time in 3 days? INCREDIBLE. It felt so different to be so intentional with choosing every ingredient. Another thing I loved was that I knew exactly what was in my body, so that if I ate something that made my stomach feel funny, I could repeat the same meal and take out an ingredient to experiment. This is a great blank slate to test for intolerances!
As I said before, something I ate did not agree with me, so later I tried just eating goat cheese to see if it was that, or the hamburger. The goat cheese felt fine, and later since I’ve eaten a hamburger happily, so it could have been too much, too soon.
For the next days, I had miso soup with a boiled egg, kimchi, and whatever random vegetable I had boiled with it (one day it was a carrot and a seaweed snack pack, another a squash, another a sweet potato) for breakfast, lunch was quinoa with smoked salmon, avocado, and cooked random vegetables (spinach, bell pepper). I actually didn’t really eat dinner the first day, I just had more broth and snacked on some fermented goodies like olives, kimchi, plus guacamole. The second night, I had two bananas with cashew butter inside. For break the fast recipe inspiration, I found this website (I love it for its clear visuals and concise information, can you see a pattern?), so feel free to check it out and borrow from them! Their tofu, protein powder, and chia seed pudding is now a favorite of mine - I had never thought to blend tofu!
Hopefully this has inspired you to give a prolonged fast a try! It has helped me to be more conscious about what I am eating and slow down to think: what do I actually need? Also, I liked aligning it with where I am in my cycle, as anything I do that helps me tune in with my body makes me feel more cyclical and empowered.
Feel free to share your stories and reactions with me! If you know something from your lived experience that you think would be beneficial to add, I’d love to hear it and add it to this post :-)
Lots of love to you and your beautiful body!! Xx

8, 19, and 24 for the more fic writer asks? Thank you!
8. if you had to write a sequel to a fic, you’d write one for…
I mean, most of my fics probably qualify as sequels to some other fic, lol. But ummm The Breathing Sea, I think. Frodo's continuing healing journey in Valinor, Bilbo being somewhat of a menace, Sam's eventual coming, etc. It's on my to-write list for sure.
19. the most interesting topic you’ve researched for a fic
Tapestry weaving. It mostly consisted of watching some youtube videos so I could get a visual in order to describe what--Melian? I think it was Melian--to describe what she was doing. It was very cool to watch.
24. how do you recharge when you’re not feeling creative?
I read. Or if I've hit a reading slump (hello, last two months or so), I listen to podcasts and knit/crochet, or embroider. They're all very meditative activities, and with the podcasts I'm (usually) learning something interesting along the way.
Oh and also baking! Anything where I can follow someone else's pattern/directions and end up with something neat at the end is both relaxing and satisfying, and gives my brain a break.

TRANQUIL Tuesdays: Tycho (Grizzly Bear) - “Small Sanctuary”
Tumblr media
Tycho delivers a haunting electronic song that tickled all our senses. This is HIGHLY fuzzworthy! Read more and watch below: 2x GRAMMY® Award–nominated electronic artist Tycho continues his new era with today’s premiere of the deeply personal new single, “Small Sanctuary,” available now via Ninja Tune/Mom + Pop Music. An official visualizer premieres today on YouTube. “Small Sanctuary,” which had its premiere at this year’s Burning Man during mastermind Scott Hansen’s traditional sunrise set, finds Hansen fully at the helm, composing, producing, performing, and creating original artwork. The song also sees Hansen once again collaborating with Grizzly Bear’s Chris Taylor, who mixed the track and assisted with additional production, further honing a working relationship begun with the recently released “Time To Run,” available now via Ninja Tune/Mom + Pop Music. “Innocent and unburdened by the trappings of modern life, children are a pure expression of the human condition,” says Scott Hansen. “To watch them grow and learn is to witness a sanctuary for the human spirit. I wrote this song for my daughter who brings me limitless joy and inspiration. The artwork represents the menagerie of experiences and ideas that form our selfhood. From early life to adulthood, we collect these things in our memory and they come to define us.” LISTEN TO “SMALL SANCTUARY” WATCH “SMALL SANCTUARY” OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO/VISUALIZER As noted, “Small Sanctuary” marks the latest single from Tycho following this summer’s premiere of the funky “Time To Run,” joined by a narrative-driven music video capturing Hansen’s experiences with the meditative power of music while cross-country running, directed by Patrick Elmore and streaming now at YouTube. Powered by glowing pops of synth, a jagged guitar motif (courtesy of longtime Tycho guitarist Zac Brown), and vivid, energetic beats, the track – which represents the first new Tycho music in two years – sees Hansen returning to his signature instrumental approach following a series of vocal experiments including 2019’s GRAMMY® Award-nominated sixth album, WEATHER. LISTEN TO “TIME TO RUN” WATCH “TIME TO RUN” OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO “Time To Run” – which heralds a much-anticipated new project from Tycho – was met by critical applause from such outlets as Billboard, which named the track to its “Friday Dance Music Guide: The Week’s Best New Tracks,” writing, “The venerable Tycho drops his first track of the year via the chipper, punchy ‘Time To Run.’ Taking influence from the producer born Scott Hansen’s real-life love of running – and coming with a sweet and simple running-centric video – the song layers a looped guitar riff and drums with effervescent and quintessentially Tycho electronic elements, building to a quick clip with a smart, bright mood.” “Tycho’s given us a reason to get off our asses and go for a run,” raved EDM.com. “Full of fun guitar riffs from band member Zac Brown, the tune is organic and bright, with flutters of keys sprinkled beneath a groovy bassline.” “‘Time To Run’ has a full band approach,” wrote CLASH, “broadening Tycho’s creativity while remaining true to his core values.” Read the full article
