Ngl, I think its cool when people ask questions about our system (though the only one who does that much is our partner) cause sometimes it helps work through stuff we didn’t think about. Obviously I don’t want random obnoxious bait-y bad-faith questions, but like if someone has questions about alters or something, that’s usually chill. Asshats who pretend that “””plurality””” is fucking normal have so little respect for victims of abuse. It is disgusting. Anyone who tries to equate just existing to something caused by trauma needs to just log off, and do literally anything else. It is so dismissive and insulting.

Calling "plurality" a normal human experience, saying that anyone and everyone can be, or is, plural, and purposefully erasing and removing the line of what plurality is, and then lumping DID/OSDD under the "plural umbrella" is such a slap in the face to what we're experiencing

It completely reduces our experience to something "normal" (it's not, nothing about what has happened to those with DID/OSDD, and nothing about what we're experiencing, is normal), to something that everyone can experience (it's not, that's why only some people end up developing DID/OSDD when faced with trauma), and draws a direct comparison of alters to something that is largely philosophical and spiritual (fuck right off, alters aren't the same as what endogenics and those who participate in cultural and spiritual possession rituals are experiencing)

Your normal human experience of ever-changing facets in different situations and around different people isn't remotely similar to DID/OSDD, and I contend that it's not even really plurality

tmw you aren’t 100% sure who is fronting so you alternate between just selecting one alter as placeholder, but then you’re not sure if its them, so you select some other alters to try and narrow it down, and that barely helps, so you’re left with a handful of alters who you think it might be but you’re stressed out anyways so this is the least of your problems but you try to narrow it down anyways. im gonna tag with the alters most likely fronting rn lol rip

seeing systems get fakeclaimed based on their introjects is so funny sometimes (and by funny i mean infuriating but im trying to keep this lighthearted–). because… ok!  …brain don’t care though!!

we technically have an introject of a Real Actual Dog in our life (although she herself is a human. but she’s very obviously an introject of the dog). bc our brain needed to turn a real shitty situation into one that wouldn’t bother us so much. that’s how the majority of introjects happen. That’s It!

having someone else going thru tiktok within the range of my hearing makes me dissociate so fucking bad. like something about the rapidly changing & repeating sounds without me seeing the screen drives me absolutely fucking insane. it causes massive sensory overload as well. i fucking despise it. i also fucking hate when my gf insists on constantly going on tiktok and mocking me when i tell her how much it upsets me. its so fucking disorienting, especially if i’m already having an anxiety attack.
