Please tell us how to get into IT without a degree! I have an interview for a small tech company this week and I’m going in as admin but as things expand I can bootstrap into a better role and I’d really appreciate knowing what skills are likely to be crucial for making that pivot.
Absolutely!! You'd be in a great position to switch to IT, since as an admin, you'd already have some familiarity with the systems and with the workplace in general. Moving between roles is easier in a smaller workplace, too.
So, this is a semi-brief guide to getting an entry-level position, for someone with zero IT experience. That position is almost always going to be help desk. You've probably heard a lot of shit about help desk, but I've always enjoyed it.
So, here we go! How to get into IT for beginners!
The most important thing on your resume will be
✨~🌟Certifications!!🌟~✨
Studying for certs can teach you a lot, especially if you're entirely new to the field. But they're also really important for getting interviews. Lots of jobs will require a cert or degree, and even if you have 5 years of experience doing exactly what the job description is, without one of those the ATS will shunt your resume into a black hole and neither HR or the IT manager will see it.
First, I recommend getting the CompTIA A+. This will teach you the basics of how the parts of a computer work together - hardware, software, how networking works, how operating systems work, troubleshooting skills, etc. If you don't have a specific area of IT you're interested in, this is REQUIRED. Even if you do, I suggest you get this cert just to get your foot in the door.
I recommend the CompTIA certs in general. They'll give you a good baseline and look good on your resume. I only got the A+ and the Network+, so can't speak for the other exams, but they weren't too tough.
If you're more into development or cybersecurity, check out these roadmaps. You'll still benefit from working help desk while pursuing one of those career paths.
The next most important thing is
🔥🔥Customer service & soft skills🔥🔥
Sorry about that.
I was hired for my first ever IT role on the strength of my interview. I definitely wasn't the only candidate with an A+, but I was the only one who knew how to handle customers (aka end-users). Which is, basically, be polite, make the end-user feel listened to, and don't make them feel stupid. It is ASTOUNDING how many IT people can't do that. I've worked with so many IT people who couldn't hide their scorn or impatience when dealing with non-tech-savvy coworkers.
Please note that you don't need to be a social butterfly or even that socially adept. I'm autistic and learned all my social skills by rote (I literally have flowcharts for social interactions), and I was still exceptional by IT standards.
Third thing, which is more for you than for your resume (although it helps):
🎇Do your own projects🎇
This is both the most and least important thing you can do for your IT career. Least important because this will have the smallest impact on your resume. Most important because this will help you learn (and figure out if IT is actually what you want to do).
The certs and interview might get you a job, but when it comes to doing your job well, hands-on experience is absolutely essential. Here are a few ideas for the complete beginner. Resources linked at the bottom.
Start using the command line. This is called Terminal on Mac and Linux. Use it for things as simple as navigating through file directories, opening apps, testing your connection, that kind of thing. The goal is to get used to using the command line, because you will use it professionally.
Build your own PC. This may sound really intimidating, but I swear it's easy! This is going to be cheaper than buying a prebuilt tower or gaming PC, and you'll learn a ton in the bargain.
Repair old PCs. If you don't want to or can't afford to build your own PC, look for cheap computers on Craiglist, secondhand stores, or elsewhere. I know a lot of universities will sell old technology for cheap. Try to buy a few and make a functioning computer out of parts, or just get one so you can feel comfortable working in the guts of a PC.
Learn Powershell or shell scripting. If you're comfortable with the command line already or just want to jump in the deep end, use scripts to automate tasks on your PC. I found this harder to do for myself than for work, because I mostly use my computer for web browsing. However, there are tons of projects out there for you to try!
Play around with a Raspberry Pi. These are mini-computers ranging from $15-$150+ and are great to experiment with. I've made a media server and a Pi hole (network-wide ad blocking) which were both fun and not too tough. If you're into torrenting, try making a seedbox!
Install Linux on your primary computer. I know, I know - I'm one of those people. But seriously, nothing will teach you more quickly than having to compile drivers through the command line so your Bluetooth headphones will work. Warning: this gets really annoying if you just want your computer to work. Dual-booting is advised.
If this sounds intimidating, that's totally normal. It is intimidating! You're going to have to do a ton of troubleshooting and things will almost never work properly on your first few projects. That is part of the fun!

Tips
DO NOT work at an MSP. That stands for Managed Service Provider, and it's basically an IT department which companies contract to provide tech services. I recommend staying away from them. It's way better to work in an IT department where the end users are your coworkers, not your customers.
DO NOT trust remote entry-level IT jobs. At entry level, part of your job is schlepping around hardware and fixing PCs. A fully-remote position will almost definitely be a call center.
DO write a cover letter. YMMV on this, but every employer I've had has mentioned my cover letter as a reason to hire me.
DO ask your employer to pay for your certs. This applies only to people who either plan to move into IT in the same company, or are already in IT but want more certs.
DO NOT work anywhere without at least one woman in the department. My litmus test is two women, actually, but YMMV. If there is no woman in the department in 2024, and the department is more than 5 people, there is a reason why no women work there.
DO have patience with yourself and keep an open mind! Maybe this is just me, but if I can't do something right the first time, or if I don't love it right away, I get very discouraged. Remember that making mistakes is part of the process, and that IT is a huge field which ranges from UX design to hardware repair. There are tons of directions to go once you've got a little experience!
Disclaimer: this is based on my experience in my area of the US. Things may be different elsewhere, esp. outside of the US.
I hope this is helpful! Let me know if you have more questions!

Note
Here to drop more unsolicited advice, but I made the jump from retail to click clack desk job and I have some tips!
1) list the software your company uses for POS and inventory in your resume just like someone might mention Microsoft Excel or whatever, it indicates that you're software savvy
2) Network with all the people you know who have desk jobs, a lot of switching careers is going to be about having someone help you in the door
3) look at reception and administrative assistant jobs since they rely a LOT on basic customer service skills like being pleasant no matter what and taking instructions, but they'll also give you a shit ton of exposure to skills you'll want on a resume to find your next click clack job
Good luck and godspeed!
THANK YOUUUUUU

My spouse and I were stalked at the store, today.
I won't go into much detail because it's not necessary, but my spouse's reaction compared to mine made me realize that some people literally have no idea what to do if this is ever happening. They were scared and visibly distressed, which is perfectly understandable, but other than running away.. their first instinct was to confront the man. Unless this is absolutely necessary, please do NOT do that. Here's what you should do instead:
Remain calm. Try not to tip them off to the fact that you know that you are being followed, and carefully collect identifying details about the person stalking you. In our case, this was a man about six feet tall wearing a basspro hat backwards, and some kind of bright blue, patriotic shirt with an American flag. When he took his hat off, he had very patchy light hair.
Next, go immediately to an area with cameras. In this case, we were in Walmart and so I went to the pharmacy area where cameras typically are. There's usually cameras there, by cosmetics, the alcohol aisle, etc. Stop nearby it so you can look at the screen (or reflection if it's the disk kind). This accomplishes two things: Getting both you and the stalker on camera, and being able to confirm that you are indeed being followed.
After that, go to the nearest source of help. This can be a nearby worker, the pharmacy counter, the automotive center, or the customer service desk. We went to the front of the store and I told a greeter, since he is watching the door, and my spouse told a team lead at the service desk. The team lead saw this man acting suspicious and his description for himself, which is very helpful. It got brought to a manager, and then the AP team. They are now going to check the cameras, confirm the description, and collect evidence.
Walmart cameras have facial recognition software, so they can track the man's movements and behaviors as well as see if he's banned, done this before, etc. If necessary, they will bring it to law enforcement.
You can always ask a worker to escort you out to your car and help you load it. Once you are inside your vehicle, do not linger. Leave immediately. If you need to stop for any reason, do so at a well-lit, crowded spot like a busy gas station. Be aware of your surroundings, and if you don't feel safe, try to contact a friend to stay with or escort you.
The bottom line here is, collect evidence and tell customer service workers whatever you can without confronting the stalker. You want to catch this man in the act, not give him a reason to flee. He may just return and do this creepy behavior to a different person if he isn't caught on camera or if workers aren't made aware of his presence and behavior.
Stay safe out there, guys. Please. Think of yourself and the others around you, and be aware of your surroundings at all times. If you see something, SAY something. My spouse and I only noticed because of a kind lady informing us that we were being followed and to be careful. It's better to be wrong than to let someone get stalked through the store. Hopefully this will help even one person be calm if this ever happens to them.
On a side note, if you DO have to confront the stalker, don't be afraid to get loud. Use your environment for you, if any violence occurs for any reason. Cans of soup, things within range that can be thrown, even air fresheners or cleaning chemicals that you can squirt in the assailant's face can be helpful in defending yourself. Back away and get help quickly once it is safe to disengage.
Just remember, stay calm, and everything will fall into place.
Stay safe out there.

I am the entire IT department of this place.
I am Help Desk.
I am Sysadmin.
I am executive management. Mainly because both of my actual bosses (On-site General Manager and remote corporate overlord) have no hard technical background. I was a software engineer for 7 years before this. And holy shit the whiplash.
My formal title is "IT Operations Manager", but I have nobody to manage. It's only me. I have complete authority over the IT infrastructure and am spending like 30% of my time doing help desk work. One minute I am setting top-level security policy, and the next, I am using a knife to pry an ethernet cable out of a laptop because apparently using the plastic tab to pull it out isn't intuitive for everyone.
I have learned a hell of a lot in the last few months.
But the thing that inspired this post, that I really want to talk about, but am struggling to find people to discuss with...
If I am walking across the facility to deal with an issue, there's like a 30% chance that someone will walk up to me with another issue that I need to deal with. I haven't implemented a help desk ticketing system yet. Haven't had the space.
But if I happen to be exhausted or in a bad mood when I respond to them, they will be hesitant to tell me when things break. This makes my job worse. I am not THEIR manager, but I'm still one of the Top Brass in this place. It doesn't matter how soft of a person I actually am, the workers here still don't want to upset me, and will swerve the hell away from me if they think they might be.
Even if I didn't care about being liked and was totally Machiavellian about how I treat people at work, this is bad.
I've read so much about the emotional labor of customer service.
Turns out, management has emotional labor, too. Except here, nobody will tell me when I'm being unapproachable. And it's also nobody else's problem.
If I can't be consistently friendly to the people around me, they will be disinclined to communicate with me. If cracks in the infrastructure appear, I won't know until something catches fire.
I cannot safely express my frustration or even exhaustion to *anyone* here, without making my job harder, regardless of how good of a rapport I may have with them.
I am the only computer professional in the building. Even the most well-meaning instance of "He is tired and overworked, let's not put more on his plate" could keep me ignorant of an impending disaster.
The entire intranet got completely fucked because someone plugged both ports of an IP phone into the same dumb switch, and I was up until 3AM trying to figure out what the fuck happened and I still haven't had the space to properly research how to overhaul this place's hackjob of a network out of the stone age. But they don't want to bother me with silly shit like helping people move cubicles when the job I was actually hired to do was implement automation into this manufacturing process.
My Corporate Overlords swear that they are working on hiring me help. But maybe I'm not squeaky enough of a wheel to get some grease.

THE 6 FREE MARKETING TOOLS EVERY MARKETER NEEDS TO USE
Are you aware of the top marketing tools out there that not only help you get your job done better, but are completely FREE? There are a number of excellent free marketing tools, and we’ve compiled some of the top in the categories that help you master your marketing. Whether you add all or a few to your marketing toolbox, you’ll reap the benefits of these resources right away and work smarter, not harder.
Project Management: Trello
Lead Generation: Hubspot
Design: Canva
Content: Answer the Public
SEO: Google Free Business Profile and Google Analytics
Social Media Management: Buffer
PROJECT MANAGEMENT: TRELLO
This highly visual organization tool is a master at project management. It lays everything out intuitively on “boards” reminiscent of an old-school desk blotter and designed to manage projects, workflows, and tasks, from the big picture down to the finest detail. With the free version of Trello, you can create unlimited boards that contain a project or process, lists encompassing all tasks and divided into “To Do,” “Doing,” and “Done” (or your own custom process), and smaller, movable “cards” with the information you need to accomplish these tasks, tied to deadlines and assigned doers.
Trello helps you boost your productivity. It keeps everyone moving, with spaces to comment on the cards, and add files and checklists. It also integrates with Slack, Dropbox, Outlook, Gmail, Salesforce, and more, with “power-ups,” or plug-ins, that expand your capabilities. The free version gets you unlimited cards, built-in automation, due dates, mobile and desktop apps, unlimited activity logs, templates, and unlimited power-ups. Then if you find you’re needing more, it’s a reasonable jump in monthly rate for more robust options.
LEAD GENERATION: HUBSPOT
Hubspot is known for many things to many marketers. It’s a robust CRM platform with highly effective marketing, sales, and service tools. The software is king at lead generation. It helps marketers attract potential visitors and leads through inbound marketing, ushering them through the buyer’s journey, and converting them into customers.
While HubSpot’s capabilities are wide-ranging and complex, you can take advantage of its CRM tools in a free suite that includes email marketing, live chat, forms, pop-ups, ads, landing pages, reports, and more. This version has some very helpful features; marketers can add more information about incoming leads with data gleaned from the internet, populating charts with social profiles, job titles, where they came from online, and what they viewed before they filled out their form. You’ll be able to track these potential customers when they return to your site as well, and since each action is mapped, you can track timing too. The free version of HubSpot also provides analytics so you know which of your pages, offers, and traffic sources are pulling the highest conversions. You’ll see the number of visits before customers buy and identify other trends in site navigation so you can optimize your site.
Hubspot also offers paid subscriptions, but these free capabilities are highly effective, so you can always add on later if you’d like:
Tumblr media
DESIGN:CANVA
In the way that self-publishing content through social media has revolutionized the media industry, Canva has similarly given people a free platform with which to create beautiful brochures, business cards, banners, infographics, cards, logos, designs for promotional items, social media images, posters, newsletters, videos and so much more. Started in 2013, the platform offers many tools for free, including 250,000+ templates, 100+ design types (social media posts, presentations, letters, and more), free photos and graphics, additional team members, and 5GB of cloud storage, plus access to easy tutorials and other great resources, including a robust blog for marketing, design, and branding. You can level up to Pro and Enterprise for more features, which are free for classrooms and nonprofits.
Canva offers excellent tools for laying out and designing professional-looking  pieces even if you’re not a professional designer. With this design tool, you can create postcards for your upcoming sale, Instagram images for branding, or a flyer with your services. Its intuitive interface has made good design more accessible for all of us.
Tumblr media
CONTENT: ANSWER THE PUBLIC
This content-generating tool is so simple that you’ll want to play with it for hours. It makes a great party game too, especially since it’s powered by a perky robot. The premise is simple: just enter the topic you’re interested in covering for your content strategy, and it will (within seconds), deliver an elegantly charted image containing more search terms than you can possibly use. The way it works is by collecting the autocomplete data from the 3 billion+ daily Google searches and mapping them out into “what,” “how,” “where,” and more.
You get an unfiltered look into the minds of searchers, to learn the information that they’re really seeking—and sometimes it’s surprising. You can leverage this content to create the next headlines and search terms for your blogs and social media posts. If your audience feels like you’re reading their minds, it’s because you pretty much are.
With Answer the Public’s free version, you can conduct more than 500,000 searches a month; if you need more you can also upgrade to their other plans:
SEO: GOOGLE BUSINESS PROFILE AND GOOGLE ANALYTICS
Tumblr media
THE GOOGLE FREE BUSINESS PROFILE
The Google Free Business Profile is a no-brainer. If you have not yet completed this one-time task, head there right now and get your business set up. This tool will direct all users who find you on Google to the critical information they seek: your phone number, website, address, hours, ratings, description, posts, health and safety measures, women-owned/Black-owned/veteran-owned and other status, and more. It includes a map so users can see your location at a glance and a spot for product and services photos. You can create offers, respond to reviews, send and receive direct messages, and post FAQ answers. Since people will be looking for you on their phones and other devices, this first impression is crucial—and it’s 100% free.
GOOGLE ANALYTICS
Tumblr media
To track how well your website is performing, Google Analytics is an excellent tool. It measures real-time traffic and lets you set custom goals like purchases or signups. You can delve into revenue, return on investment (ROI) and return on ad spend (ROAS). When you link it to Google Ads, you can track ad performance and use their advanced machine learning capabilities to optimize advertising campaigns, based on cost per acquisition (CPA), ROI, or ROAS. With this information, you’ll learn which channels are performing best, see where your customers are coming from (devices and geographically), and use this information to optimize your site. Not bad for a free tool!

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT: BUFFER
Who has the time to continually post on social media? You do, now that you have a free tool that does it for you! With Buffer, you can schedule your social media posts across social sites in advance, so they’re set.
Their free option gives you up to three channels and their profiles, with ten social posts per queue (and no monthly or yearly limit), basic publishing tools, and a landing page builder for you to send leads to. They even shorten links automatically to save you characters. Buffer is a great way to manage the posts you’ve been meaning to post but haven’t gotten around to yet. It’s your social media assistant, automated.
If you like working with Buffer (and you will), you can opt for their next available plan, which lets you look at analytics, use their engagement tools, build a shopping landing page, and integrate with other apps:
Tumblr media
These free marketing tools are all so helpful, and their paid versions often include even more helpful capabilities. We recommend trying them for free and if you find they’re really working for you, they may be worth an additional investment since they’re providing a strong return. Check them out and let us know how you do!
And if you need help integrating any of these tools or would like more marketing muscle in your toolbox, reach out to our team. We’re suckers for time-saving tools, and we love to help make marketing easier, smarter, and of course, better.

How to Enhance Communication in Facilities Management
Tumblr media
According to Apollo Technical, 86% of employees blame a “lack of effective collaboration and communication” as the leading cause of workplace failures. In the case of facilities management, communication is critical to keeping systems running smoothly. Smooth communication impacts not only facilities managers but also employees, customers, and ultimately revenue.
When facilities management projects have tight deadlines and strict requirements, it’s important to have effective and efficient communication between managers and strategic partners. But keeping everyone on track and in order comes with its own unique challenges.
Let’s take a look at some proven communication techniques to turn your next project into a streamlined triumph!
1. Start with the basics – documentation
While it may sound simple, listening, taking notes, and documenting as much information as you can will help you prepare to lead your project, your team and your selected partners when they seek guidance. Documentation will also allow you to share the information in written format, empowering others to answer their own questions. The more you know, the faster you’ll be able to fill in any gaps and reduce resolution time. Some facility management companies even offer technology that can assist in capturing and documenting this valuable information, saving you valuable time.
Plus, it goes without saying that building positive rapport and an open line of communication establishes trust, fosters collaboration, and produces an overall commitment to a job well done–and on time! This is made even further evident when considering the fact that over 60% of employees believe their views and opinions are ignored in the workplace, according to AON. This is an unfortunate statistic that could be completely avoidable with effective communication.
2. Utilize innovative technology
Working in facility management, we’ve all experienced a chaotic workday. Sorting through emails and work orders, jumping from meeting to meeting trying to coordinate multiple time-sensitive projects all at once. And while we love the energy of this fast-paced day-to-day, we also know it can take its toll and that gaps in communication can create a significant fallout.
New advancements in facilities management technologies and streamlined communication tools can be an easy solution to help cut through the clutter, reduce downtime, and eliminate needless frustration. In fact, many can be easily integrated into the systems you already use.
We value communication that is efficient, timely, direct, and clear. Here are a few of the applications that are frontrunners in efficient and intelligent communication for integrated facility management. Each of these are also compatible with National Facilities Direct’s proprietary technology solution that supports our value for communication.
Service Channel: A leading facility management software and contractor sourcing, Service Channel lets you manage all maintenance activity from a single platform.
Tango: The Next-Gen Real Estate & Facilities Platform that unites analytics, transactions, lease administration & accounting, space management, desk booking, and more.
Corrigo: Access to powerful, easy-to-use software and mobile apps that help you manage your facilities with less overhead.
Asana: A project management software that tracks, manages, and connects your projects across any team.
Verisae: Cloud-based maintenance management platform that provides service, asset, and procurement management solutions for facility managers.
Fexa: Innovative and intuitive software making it easier for Facilities and Operations Teams to get quality work done.
We streamline communication by speaking directly with our facility manager customers so they have the constant, real-time, project tracking and information they may need at any given moment.
3. Enlist a strategic partner
When it comes to choosing a facilities management partner, there are various options available. From local to regional vendors, and from aggregators with pools of untested contractors to self-performing agencies like National Facilities Direct, it can be difficult to find the right partner. It’s vital to find the right fit for your organization based on your needs and values. We believe the right partner is the one who takes a customer-centric approach, a team that takes the time to understand your situations, perceptions, and expectations to better learn your facility and processes. We strive to always be flexible and meet those varying needs while also suggesting viable solutions.
If you’re finding communication gaps with your vendors, an integrated self-performing facilities management partner could be the perfect collaborator to help set you up for success. They can assist by developing smoother systems of communication between the technician, command center, and facilities managers to ensure a process that streamlines service, integrates teams, centralizes goals, and lays the framework for efficient and quality relationships.
Conclusion
Regardless of the industry, service, or staff the impact communication has on company performance is undeniable. According to a 2021 study by Project.co, over 26% of people feel that the way businesses communicated–both internally and externally–has deteriorated over the past year. This is a trend that needs to be reversed for the health of the facility management nationwide.
The need for dependable communication in FM is clear and so vital to a strong organizational structure and fully efficient facility. So vital in fact that a McKinsey report has shown that when collaborative communications are effective, they may increase productivity by as much as 25%. That can make a big difference to the bottom line as well as have a positive impact on company culture and workplace happiness.

Some Great Benefits Of Online Sms Verification Service
Tumblr media
It is easy and quick to validate the authenticity of an individual by using SMS. This is a powerful security device that can help to prevent fraudulent transactions and increase customer satisfaction.
However, it's not an absolute method of authentication on its own. It could be utilized together with other methods to prevent fraud, and also methods of buyer verification.
Authentication
SMS authentication is an effective method of two-factor authentication because it's readily available for all mobile devices, and the majority of consumers are comfortable to the method. It also costs relatively little and doesn't require any extra hardware or software to implement.
The site is also extremely accessible, which allows customers to log in even if they're not on the internet. This helps reduce the possibility of a help desk call and gives users the confidence that their account is secure.
This adds a bit of friction when you the checkout. If they have to enter the code required to finish their purchase, customers may be annoyed and abandon their purchases. This could be an issue for merchants who need to balance the risk of fraud with the desire to create a seamless purchase experience to their customers. It is important to be aware that, by utilizing their fraud prevention methods, businesses can limit the amount and frequently SMS authentication is required.
Fraud Prevention
The constant war between fraudsters and prevention methods, hackers constantly come up with new ways to defeat two-factor authentication. Cybercriminals who attack famous sites for stealing passwords from databases are particularly vulnerable. The stolen passwords are extremely useful on the black market, and often utilized to access the accounts of customers across other websites that are logged in with the same password.
SMS verification is one way to stop these types account takeovers. It requires that users enter a code that is that is sent to their phone prior to logging in or make purchases. The use of this type of verification may also reduce the possibility of chargebacks resulting from stolen credit card details. However, SMS verification does provide another level of difficulty on the process of checkout and could discourage some customers from making purchases at all or even cause them abandon their cart. This is why merchants should carefully balance their need for security with the need to make their customers satisfied.
Efficiency
SMS verification might be the most popular form of two-factor authentication, because it doesn't require downloads of apps as well as QR codes. It's also a breeze to operate, and people from all ages are able to make use of their mobile phones. It's also affordable, and users don't need to purchase additional hardware or software as they do with other methods of verification.
But there are a few disadvantages to the use of phone number verification service. One is that it adds a layer of friction in the process of signing-in that could deter customers from making purchases or creating accounts. If they decide to utilize or not this method, merchants should weigh the advantages of fraud prevention over the benefits of keeping customers.
Certain websites, like provide free services that enable users to skip SMS confirmation. It's not the best idea. This doesn't make sense and could lead to security concerns for customers of other services.
The Security of Your Own Home
Authentication is an essential part of every fraud prevention plan. This is because it helps to make it more difficult for fraudsters to impersonate you, take your accounts if they are compromised, or create fake tickets that are linked to the identity of your. SMS verification is a very popular method for securing your identity, and is easy to incorporate into the checkout process. It's a simple and cheap method.
The phone number verification works by sending an encrypted code to the user's mobile number. A user has to enter the code received in order to be able to log into their account or make a purchase online. This means that only someone that has access to the phone of the user's phone can use it for fraudulent purposes.
The method, however, is not as secured than other methods of authentication like authentication apps and security keys. Additionally, it depends on the network of the phone for its operation, which means it may fail in the event that the internet goes down. Therefore, it's best to use this method in conjunction with other tools to prevent fraud as well as buyer verification methods.

Best Practices For Using Salesforce To Streamline Business Operations
Tumblr media
Salesforce is one of the world's most popular and widely used CRM software platforms. It's also one of the most customizable, so you can use it to streamline your business operations. The tools available for Salesforce users include customer service, help desk analytics, automated business tasks with AI and Einstein technology (which predicts trends), marketing automation to generate leads, and more!
The Benefits of Using the World's Most Popular CRM Software
Salesforce is the world's most popular CRM software, and it's easy to see why. Salesforce has many features that make it an excellent choice for businesses of all sizes.
The software offers a wide range of customizable features that streamline your workflow and improve efficiency, giving you more time to focus on growing your business. The platform also has an active community of users who can help you learn how best to use Salesforce or answer any questions that may arise.
Understanding Customization, Apps, and Integration With Salesforce
1. Customization is the process of making changes to the Salesforce user interface. For example, you can customize your Salesforce account by adding custom fields or tabs to your home page and record pages.
2. Apps are add-ons that you can install to extend the functionality of Salesforce. There are many apps available in AppExchange, which is a marketplace where third-party developers sell their applications for use with Salesforce. For example, one app might allow users in your organization to create custom reports based on data stored within Salesforce; another might help you manage projects more effectively by integrating them into existing workflows and processes (e.g., sending emails when tasks are completed).
3. Integration is the process of connecting Salesforce with other software systems, such as ERP solutions or accounting tools, so that they can share information seamlessly without employees' manual intervention at either end.

Salesforce is a great tool for customer service. With Salesforce, you can automate many of your support processes and track metrics that will help improve retention, satisfaction, and loyalty.
For example:
1. Create cases in seconds with built-in case management tools.
2. Build custom forms to capture specific data points like order details or upload documents right into the ticket history tab, so they're always at hand when needed later on down the line (or even if someone else needs access).
3. Use intelligent routing rules that automatically route tickets based on criteria such as product type or account status, so agents only see relevant information when responding to questions from customers who contact them via phone call/chat/email, etcetera ad infinitum!
Automating Your Business Tasks With Salesforce Einstein AI
Salesforce Einstein AI is a tool that can help you automate tasks. It's also powerful enough to handle complex processes and data to tackle even the most difficult or time-consuming work.
Einstein AI will save you time by automating repetitive tasks, such as updating records or creating reports. You can use it to perform routine activities like adding new contacts to your database, assigning leads based on criteria set by the marketing team, or sending out invoices when an order has been placed on your website--these are just a few examples!
Salesforce And Marketing Automation to Generate Leads
Marketing automation is a tool that allows you to automate tasks such as email campaigns and lead scoring. Marketing automation aims to generate leads for your business, but you can also use it in conjunction with Salesforce to streamline business operations.
Here are some best practices for using Salesforce and marketing automation together:
Use the built-in tools available through the Marketing Cloud Platform (MC) that integrates directly into Salesforce, such as Lead Management, Email Campaigns, and Social Media Marketing. These features allow you to manage all aspects of your lead generation efforts from within one platform rather than having multiple systems that work independently. You'll have access to real-time reporting data so that you always know what's going on with each campaign or prospect at any given time.
