any moment of peace & relative solitude― peni has never been one to enjoy full isolation or seclusion― is easily welcomed at every opportunity. especially after a series of all - nighters, like the ones she's been pulling for the past few days. with the other members of the newly - reunited spider - gang in the next room & no immediate matters to tend to, peni takes the time to slip a bit away from the group. to the stairs of aunt may's home, more specifically― climbing up a few steps before just laying herself there. this way, she can be easily found & brought back to the group if needed, but won't be disturbed or in the way in the meantime.

she doesn't exactly mean to fall asleep, though. it's unintentional, unplanned― but very much needed. even if lying across the stairs is hardly the most comfortable position in the world, sleep comes easily. a rather light sleep, of course, but it's still restful.

as a weight settles over her, though, she begins to stir. it's absentminded, the way she clutches at the jacket now laid over her to pull it around herself a little tighter, snuggling into its warmth. a few moments later, her eyes open slightly, vision blurred and unfocused a few moments more until she's a little more alert. groggy, still, but the sight of noir beside her draws a sleepy smile to her face.
