I'm actually demigenderfluid, and this kink has enabled me to accept and be more comfortable with my feminine aspects. I don't regret my time on T, but I've achieved the permanent changes I wanted, and am now at a point where I legitimately miss my body's feminine shape.

So no, I'm not detransitioning, because even if I went ultra femme that wouldn't align my gender identity with being a cis female. But I am making an appointment with my PCP to look at options for going off T. My concept of gender is more complex than "either/or". 🩷

I’m not sure if the definition entirely matches up but demifluid seems to fit what you’re describing?

It’s defined as a gender that is partially static/does not change and partially fluid. So in your case it could mean whatever the “Demi” part is doesn’t change (nonbinary, agender, etc.) but then you’re fluid between the other part (girl, boy, nonbinary, etc.)

A few other labels that could potentially fit:

Aragender - Fluid between demigirl and demiboy specifically

Genderfloren - A gender that is fluid and never binary man or binary woman

Genderflicken - A gender that is fluid and never binary man, binary woman, or nonbinary (as a gender identity, not as a descriptor) and experiences genderless genders

I also found demigenderfluid (someone who is genderfluid and identifies more as demigender) but the linked webpage is the only place I could find it defined like that; everywhere else said it’s another name for demifluid.

Closeted gender confusion (rant)

I’m starting to realize I don’t know for sure what label fits best for me yet, and I likely won’t know until I come out as nonbinary to people. I need experience being out and referred to as something other than my agab before I know what label works best for me. That way I get to experience hearing myself be gendered in different ways and make sense of what feels right and why. Otherwise I’m just stuck in my own conveluted thoughts that contradict each other.

I keep feeling confused on whether I’m agender or agenderfluid, as I feel like I could be either. It theoretically should be easy differentiating the feeling of having no gender to the feeling of being partially fluid but it’s just so hard in the closet with no one to talk to. 

What I realized is that although I might feel more masc sometimes and more femme other times, I don’t know if that’s related to being genderfluid because that also could just be based on different feelings of dysphoria/euphoria at different times that lead me to liking different presentations. Though I do like the idea of hearing gendered language be used for me sometimes, I don’t know if I feel like I need the gendered language to match a certain feeling of gender or if I more just like to hear the language around me being switched up. I’ve realized there’s a chance I like hearing a bit of everything and don’t want to be stuck with just my agab or neutral language, but that doesn’t necessarily mean my gender is fluid. It could just mean I’m agender but don’t want to let that limit the ways I’m referred.

Everything is so confusing and I wish I were out to someone so I could make more sense of things. I don’t know if I’m agender or agenderfluid, but hope to know soon. One issue is I don’t know what will be best to try first when I come out, but I suppose either one works. It’s okay not to know though because I will know someday.
