Genderfluid micro label of the week: Demifluid

Demifluid or Demigenderfluid is a form of genderfluidity. Demifluid people have a partially fluid and partially static (unchanging) gender. This can include any and all genders and micro labels. For example, one could be partially forestgender and partially genderfloreran.

So I’m an AFAB Agender and Demigenderfluid, Im not demigenderfaun but I am more masc leaning. Since I don’t identify as female, I do identify as trans.

But I don’t know if I allowed to identify as tranmasc because I don’t technically identify as a guy. My chosen name is a more masculine name and I prefer he/they pronouns and to be called a boy, but I don’t identify as a boy so I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say that I am transmasc.

(obviously if you're not you're not but demigender isnt known to many people) Demigirl, also known as Demiwoman, Demifemale or a Demilady, is a demigender identity describing someone who partially identifies as a woman or girl. In addition to feeling partially like a girl or woman, demigirls also feel partly outside the binary. That can include anything under the non-binary umbrella like agender, genderqueer, or xenogenders for example. Demifemme is a subset of demigirl. It is for someone who isn't comfortable with having a gendered term like female, woman, girl, etc. in their gender label. The masculine equivalent of demigirl is demiboy.

A Demifluid person can have any static gender and any fluid gender. The fluid gender can change constanty while the static one will stay that gender.

Demiflux is a gender identity where one part is static, and the other(s) fluctuate(s) in intensity. For example, the static side could be female, but the other side could be male. The male part can fluctuate, going from full intensity (male), half intensity (demiboy), to no intensity (agender), while the female part does not fluctuate. It is similar to demigender in which the gender is almost “split in two” or divided into two sections. The difference is that demiflux has a part that fluctuates.

if it wasn’t obvious this account is dedicated to obey me, I’ll primarily be posting edits of chibi cards (ie; making them translucent) which will come one a week depending on the card. If what I’m working on is one of the brothers chibi cards where they have one for each sin it’ll take around a week, where as if it’s one where it doesn’t have any other sin types it’ll only take 1-2 days depending on how high my pain is. I really like this and feel like a lot of people need to learn this. I go by Enby and agender, but I still use he/she pronouns along with they/them, it just depends on presentation.

A person can be a female and be female presenting

A person can be female and be male presenting

I don’t take gender as “female and male and everything in between and outside” I see it as a presentation. I am also demigenderfluid and can be more female leaning one day, but feel more masculine and end up going by he/him that day. I can be more male leaning one day, and feel more feminine and end up going by she/her that day.

A person doesn’t have to be gender-conforming.

A person doesn’t have to be female, male, Enby, fluid, or label themselves as any gender, and can still use pronouns more specific to one gender as a ‘presentation’ of themselves.

This is really important to me.

I’m not sure if the definition entirely matches up but demifluid seems to fit what you’re describing?

It’s defined as a gender that is partially static/does not change and partially fluid. So in your case it could mean whatever the “Demi” part is doesn’t change (nonbinary, agender, etc.) but then you’re fluid between the other part (girl, boy, nonbinary, etc.)

A few other labels that could potentially fit:

Aragender - Fluid between demigirl and demiboy specifically

Genderfloren - A gender that is fluid and never binary man or binary woman

Genderflicken - A gender that is fluid and never binary man, binary woman, or nonbinary (as a gender identity, not as a descriptor) and experiences genderless genders

I also found demigenderfluid (someone who is genderfluid and identifies more as demigender) but the linked webpage is the only place I could find it defined like that; everywhere else said it’s another name for demifluid.
