hellu!! This may seem out of the blue but I’ve actually thought about this for the past few months, maybe a year at this point, and idk why I felt like today was the day to share ..but regardless, I’ve recently come to the realization that I identify as a demi-woman!

I’ve always felt disconnected from the female gender in many ways but I never truly felt strongly as anything else and thus just shrugged it off as simply being “tomboy”.

HOWEVER!! I’ve been working a lot on becoming more emotionally in tune with myself and have actually realized I felt uncomfortable with being referred to as some things that at first didn’t make much sense.

for example; I have somewhat of an attraction towards women and not men, but lesbian didn’t feel entirely right (my sexuality is a whole mess tho I don’t need to go into that now) I also don’t like it when I’m referred to as anything but she/her, but when people ask me if I’m a woman my immediate response is an unenthusiastic “…sure, I guess.” there are more examples but I think you get the idea.

If we wanna get real specific, I feel like I exist somewhere between agender and woman, and so demi-woman feels just about right!

This doesn’t mean much for you guys since I still use she/her pronouns, but it’s always nice to share important milestones :)

i think i'm gonna try identifying as butch as well. i've been drawn to that label for a while now but have never tried using it bc i was afraid i'm not "butch enough" and i was scared of being harassed for using the label when i'm bi and not a lesbian bc ik some ppl gatekeep it like that. but i shouldn't worry about meeting a standard and i shouldn't care what ppl who obviously know nothing about queer history think of me.
