Fluffynightkiller week 2022 day 6: Inner demons, Outer demons.
The x-orcist is back baby!!! bringing in Ccino and Killer again. Though in the cannon of DDD Nightmare doesn’t really leave Dream, this is a little scene i came up with to demonstrate what Ccino’s role is, perhaps its more clear now. But no, Killer cannot see him.
X-orcist au by me and @zu-is-here
Original nightmare by jokublog
Original ccino belongs to black-nyanko

Danny was...unnerved, which is unusual considering his upbringing as the child of mad scientists obsessed with the undead.
It had been a few weeks since he had moved into Wayne manor after a conflict between batman and his parents, which led to his home and his friends and family being blown up in a lab malfunction. Most of Amity Park was destroyed in the blasts, including Vlad and his mansion.
Usually Danny would be more suspicious of super rich dudes, but the sorrow in Bruce Wayne's eyes as he pleaded to let Danny take him in was genuine and well, Danny didn't exactly have anywhere else to go. Plus, Bruce looked weirdly guilty when danny told him none of this was his fault, which was weird. Jazz was in college and always looked exhausted on video calls, so he didn't want to bother her there.
The part that bothered him most wasn't that there was anything dangerous or bad happening, but rather the opposite.
Danny was used to dodging his home security system when it randomly targeted him. He was used to ghosts popping up out of nowhere to suckerpunch him. He was used to danger.
And now that there was none, he was jumping at shadows.
Things got better when he met Psaro. He was in the process of being either mugged or kidnapped, he wasn't sure, when this angry goth teen with silver hair and ruby eyes literally came in swinging a steel chair. After the beat down and subsequent rescue, Danny offered to buy them some food. Psaro tried to reject the offer until his stomach suddenly growled, making him blush, and Danny dragged the older goth teen to a restaurant.
They've been best friends since. Psaro later introduced him to his friends Rose and Toilen, explaining that they weren't from this world and that Rose was an elf and Toilen was a Teran from a planet called Terrestria. Danny assumed that Psaro was an elf like Rose due to them both having long pointed ears and mostly focused on Toilen thanks to the "other planet" bit.
Meanwhile, the bats have been keeping an eye out on Danny (aka stalking him) and his new, obviously magical friends.

sqh has two god powers. accidentally changing the world by saying something, and any time he's more stressed than he can physically take anymore he pulls a bocchi scream. glitch effect and all. "Shang-shixiong, why don't you meet with other sect leaders? What do you think, sect leader?" "Oh yes, our trade and intersect reputation could benefit greatly from- SHANG SHIDI?????" nightmare fuel situation. he acts 100% fine when they say he doesnt have to, like it never happened.
IM ACTUALLY SO OBSESSED WITH THE IDEA HE'S DOING A BOCCHI SCREAM WHEN HE'S TOO OVERWHELMED OR DOESNT WANT TO DO STUFF ANON THIS IS EVERYTHING TO ME
He's just a little tired, nothing like an all-powerful god screeching to inhuman levels that beings can't comprehend

My entire family got possessed and instead of like chasing me or trying to kill me something they were just normal, but my brain kept telling me that they were being possessed by demons.

Since spooky season is upon us, this is your kind reminder from an avid consumer of true paranormal encounter shows that sleep paralysis is insanely scary but is not a demon, alien, or other entity menacing you in your bedroom.
I get sleep paralysis with miserable frequency, but it’s not common for most people—and so folks often don’t have a context to what’s happening to them.
Sleep paralysis can be triggered by anxiety, disrupted sleep patterns, drugs or alcohol, or any of a number of weird things that affect your brain during sleep.
The common experiences are feeling that you are unable to move or scream or that there is something interfering with your breathing. The cause is that your brain turns off motor functions when you sleep, but sometimes your brain is semi-awake and tries to initiate movement—but can’t. That’s sleep paralysis. This is scary, so the semi-awake mind often garnishes the experience with dream or nightmare figures whose presence somewhat “explains” things. Usually you’ll also see the inside of your room, or other details that seem like your eyes are actually open. But that’s because your brain is dreaming that you’re seeing the real room. Trust me, if you have enough sleep paralysis episodes, you begin to spot the difference.
Happily, your house isn’t haunted and the aliens do not want to probe you!
Try sleeping on your side or stomach. Get your sleep schedule stabilised. Cut drinking or eating too soon before bed. Check to see if any of your medications cause sluggishness.
And please be wary of how easy it is to give yourself false memories by revisiting a dream memory too much and trying to squeeze details out of it. It sounds like a silly thing to warn about, but sleep paralysis experiences are terrifying and feel profoundly real. People have, without intentional effort, connected their sleep paralysis experiences with other details and eventually ended up convinced they’d experienced demonic possession or alien abductions. Sleep paralysis isn’t actually lethally dangerous, the way carbon monoxide is, but it can really fuck up people’s lives if they think it’s “real.”
