my best friend made the mistake of asking how spending/saving habits would change if one got suddenly rich and was stuck listening to my rant on routines and sustainability that somehow ended up dipping into some econ stuff then ended with the issue of the idea that women are inherently good with financially managing a household in our society yet terrible at money management when single.

I'll never be able to take the theory that Vincent is Sephiroth's real father seriously cuz I cannot stress enough how important I think it is to the plot that Vincent wanted to fuck Lucrecia and did not get to.

#once again i jest but now i have to actually talk about it #like. okay we have no proof of any actual timeline for the dirge flashbacks other than. it was at least 30 years ago #so who knows how long they were at the manor. could have been weeks before The Incident. or months. or maybe a full year! who knows #but to me a timeline of like. they fucked and like a week later vincent found The Evidence and lucercia had her little breakdown #AND THEN EXTREMELY QUICKLY SHE AGREED TO THE EXPERIMENT AND IT COULD GO ONE OF TWO WAYS #1. she knew she was pregnant and thats why she agreed to the experiment cuz there was already a usable subject #and therefore she must have fucked hojo like a week after she fucked vincent AND THATS STUPID FAST FOR THESE EVENTS #or 2. she didnt know. agreed to the experiment. fucked hojo. and therefore thought seph was hojo's and NOT vincent's #AND BY THE WAY. i dont even actually believe hojo fucked either!!! cuz theyre both scientists so why wouldnt they think IVF was the best way #okay. well.... hojo is canonically a fucked up little freak. so. he might have taken the opportunity to... get in there.#also when did ivf even start being a thing? cuz that may play a factor into this if nomura even considered that #well either way lets just unfortunately assume hojo got in there #ITS STILL AN ODDLY FAST TIMELINE #also. fuck man doesnt lucrecia have a later line in dirge where she actually says shes in love with hojo? or something along those lines #IMPLYING ITS BEEN AWHILE SINCE SHE HAD THE FALLING OUT WITH VINCENT. it is beyond infuriating how anne rice seems to insist on marius being a positive force in anyone's life ever. like she can't fully commit to exploring the fact he groomed armand and has repeatedly taken away his consent for what marius thinks is best (take the end of TVA as an example) and just kind of flatly puts it in the narrative. there's not really much interest in how these horrific events make marius come across as the worst because EVERYONE loves him. for gods sake, lestat learns from armand exactly what marius did to him in TVL and then proceeds to go find marius and be super friendly to him in the same fucking book. even armand and pandora, two of the people who have MORE than enough right to hate him, do not. it doesnt feel like shes trying to explore the toxicity of the abusive dynamic he traps them in, it just is there. and like yeah ofc the toxic vampire romance series but i think that this should be handled with more care. and it is not ever really framed in a way that she is interested in exploring how marius should easily be one of the most horrific characters in this series because it kind of feels like sa/rape/grooming/other things of that sort are just put there to further plot and not to really get the respect that they deserve in a medium.

So I just got skyward sword for (late) Christmas and I've been playing it after forever of wanting it

This year I've also played BotW and TotK, games I got like 2-3 months apart cuz of good deals lol

And it's making me want a cross over between the two :(

Not in a Linked Universe, or any other crossover I've seen before, just them, and no alteration to them, just them meeting and such

When the blending brushes I use won't cooperate with me so I'm just AUGH! But then I noticed that This Specific Part I couldn't blend at all looks better with rougher edges so I'm fine again.

#aria rants #i dont actually know how to blend things but i have three different brushes that can blend anyway #unreliable tho cuz the original colours from the layer i clipped end up getting blended along with the ones i Want to blend #and it just ends up lookin okay-ish if the colour is darker or Horrible if its lighter #so i mostly use those brushes to soften the edges if airbrush itself cant give the illusion of soft edges #but anyway am actually happy it didnt cooperate with me for This Specific Part cuz it looks like a gaping wound now #which is such a vibe that fits the piece and i like it! exactly smth i didnt know i needed until now!

fireworks sucked because the show was 15 minutes long, no music, and they set off about one a second until the end when they did 20 (yes I started counting because I was PETTY) they didn't even launch them high! They barely cleared the building in front of me! WHICH WASN'T EVEN TALL IT WAS A CVS! And they kept all the floodlights on the entire time????? half the fun of fireworks shows is seeing the night light up like daytime, it's litcherally in our anthem its the point of the whole thing I'm not in any sense patriotic, I just love flashy lights and loud noises in controlled environments, but. come on lmao

Tbh I think seeing these cars was more surreal and insane to me than going to the actual race the very next day. I think it's because I'm more deranged about the 2010s than nowadays(for the most part), so seeing all these incredibly iconic cars in the flesh(especially ones like the STR3 and Hungry Heidi) was just unbelievable to me. And the fact that it's free entry as well??? Yeah yeah, feel free to waltz into our aircraft hanger, free of charge, and witness these spectacles of engineering 🥱

#diary #religion rant incoming lol #i keep thinking about Christianity lately and how its impacted me #theres something in me that wants to give all my hurt to somethinf bigger than me so i dont feel so alone #i didnt even realise i was doing it until last month but i pray often. its mostly just wishing for a better life #but sometimes i wake up early to the sun streaming through my blinds or i hug someone really tight or cry and i feel closer to god #its such a weird thing to talk about because religion undoubtedly traumatized me and I'll never fully heal from that #but i dont blame god or jesus or whatever. i blame men in power for that #i still dont know where i stand on religion #im neither religious nor atheist. i think agnostic is the closest term that could describe me but im more spiritual than anything #i guess im religious in the sense that i believe jesus was a humanitarian. he loved humanity even though they were going to be his downfall #i can relate to that kind of devotion.

when places have "sensory hours" or whatever they call their sensory friendly times, but it's always at the most inconvenient times possible. they always do them at the times people are least likely to be at/want to go. it's either way too early in the mornings or in the middle of work time, and it seems to always in the middle of the week and never weekends. they never care if they inconvenience disabled people. but how dare they ever inconvenience the ableds and take away their time! 🙄

i think as time goes on itll be easier to like the beatles as long as we keep up the trend of younger people not liking them.
