Dino Farm Continues!
Tumblr media
The Ranchers at Pumpkin Farm usually use Timurlengia's to protect and move the herd. However it can be a bit tricky to train out the sharp prey drive of a few of them!

Hello NostalgicFriends! 🌈 Absolutely forever ago I posted about doing themed surprise boxes, with the themes including: Halloween, circus, dinosaurs/dragons, "kawaii," storytime, and a massive "good stuff" box.
I know it's been eons (like, two years), but I finally got the boxes together! I reactivated Etsy just to list them in case anyone out there has any interest in them. :) These are all made up of individual little collections/dragon-style-hoards I gathered over the years. It's time for them to bring happiness to someone new!
(Please note these are mostly big, heavy boxes full of stuff and that shipping is factored into the price <3)
(Also, I have a few more things to list on my eBay, then I'll be doing a buy-anything-and-get-a-free-random-plush sale!)

venture and junkrat sharing how they chipped/lost their teeth… pls i beg 🤲
Venture and Junkrat storytime
Honestly this was so much fun!!-Xor
Tumblr media
⫷════ •⊰♨⊱• ════⫸
Junkrat has always been one for scar stories, so he always asks. Sometimes the way he asks is rather silly and goofy just silly questions here and there in his usual excitable nature other times it was just a very blunt "tell em how you got that scar"
Venture on the other hand is just at excitable and easy to persuade about scars themselves. They try not to ask about other people's scars unless really really interested.
Junkrat just HAD to ask that new guy Venture they said their name was. He swore that chip in their tooth came from a dinosaur or maybe some giant drill bigger than the one they carry
Venture of course was more than happy to answer stating they got it from biting into a rough geode while trying to keep their reward away from the other way finders for jokes of course.
Junkrat is fully immersed in the story grinning , he's so excitable definitely some mad giggling as he asks questions
Venture is equally as cautious and lightly brings up how both of them have teeth or at least parts of teeth missing.
Junkrat happily , almost proudly goes into his story. It was a firecracker that took out his tooth. As much as it hurt losing the tooth he 100% would do it again
Venture is just astonished the whole time , there's definitely some concern but honestly it's just wild .
Both of them start trading stories back and forth after Junkrat insists he tell Venture about how he met and hired Roadhog, and how he lost his leg.
══════ஜ▲ஜ══════
And a lively little blurb written by Frisk -Xor
"So uh, teeth ay?"
Somehow, someway, fate decided to put Venture and Junkrat in the same place at the same time, because there wasn't already enough chaos in the world.
"Yeah! Teeth are so cool, you ever seen those cool fun facts that are like 'did you know you can bite off a finger if you try hard enough'? No clue if it's true or not!" Venture had warmed up to him almost immediately. Something about his personality intrigued them! He seemed just as eccentric and extroverted as they were! Though maybe a bit more unhinged- but that could be overlooked!
"I have! And it's true! This one time I was in a scrap with some lady who's name I forgot and I bit off her finger on accident! I won though, so I got to keep it!" Junkrat retells his story enthusiastically, maybe a bit too happy to tell Venture about it but hey, every story's worth hearing once!
"Is that how you lost your tooth?" They gesture to the gap in his smile, completely forgetting how it was considered rude to ask people about scars and such. They never cared when people asked about theirs, so they tend to forget other people *do* care.
"Aw, this old thing? Nah, I blew that baby out myself! Almost swallowed it, but I didn't! Now it's part of a cool necklace I have at home!" Sticking his tongue through the gap as far as he could, and getting spit everywhere, he talks all about how him and Roadhog were trying to bomb their way into a vault and Junkrat decided to try and make the explosion pretty with firecrackers. To put it gently, it didn't go well.
"Oh wow, that sounds painful! That's such a cool story compared to mine though. I just chipped my tooth trying to bite a rock, it was funny at the time, still is if you ask me!" Venture laughs as they get their own story out, eager to tell someone just as reckless as they are all about themselves and the probably stupid things they do!

Hi! I hope your doing alright❤️❤️ so I just was your Storytime with Morpheus and it was ahaisospssnb so good😍😍 it was super cute and I loved all the interactions with Morpheus and the kids and the reader too? I also saw your requests were open and was wondering if you'd maybe do another story relating to the teacher reader? Maybe like Morpheus comes to class again and there's a new little girl who seems to be scared of him for seemingly no reason and tells him to take his nightmares away or Jacks gonna get him. And this would surprise (and worry) them both because no one should know who Dream really is. And then they learn the kid thinks he's Pitch Black the bad guy who makes nightmares from Rise of the Guardians, (LOOK UP THE PICTURES AND COMPARE ITS HILARIOUS HIW SIMILAR THEY LOOK😂) and yeah. Then I guess reader and Morpheus would try to convince her he's nice and stuff and maybe by the end of the day the little girl is making Morpheus sit by her and sharing her snack, while reader put in the movie for the Class (and her man) while trying not to laugh! That's the idea! You totally dont have to do it if you don't want too❤️❤️❤️
Snacktime
A/N: eeeeeeee I LOVE THIS ONE so I tweaked the request a little bit, but it's the same general premise with lots of fluffiness! Also LOVE Rise of the Guardians, that movie was slept on tbh it's so gooood and YOU AIN'T WRONG Morpheus is kinda like a benevolent Pitch xD I really enjoyed writing this, thanks for sending it in!! Enjoy!
~~Requests for Morpheus and the Doctor (9-13) are open~~

I could never have guessed what would happen when I unleashed my class of eleven 4-year-olds and my ancient eldritch boyfriend upon each other. My class was utterly obsessed with him, constantly asking when he was going to visit again. I had to explain that he was very busy, and couldn’t always leave work to come see us.
However, it did not escape my notice that ever since his visit, they came in every day eager to tell me about their dreams the night before. It seemed they had grown on him as well, and I appreciated his efforts on their behalf.
About a month after his first visit, one of my students moved away, and a new student joined the class in rapid succession. That led to a whole week of late nights, filling out paperwork and getting everything labeled and ready for the new kid. Morpheus wasn’t happy with it, but I don’t think he had it in his heart to scold me once I told him about the new kid. Those gremlins really had him wrapped around their finger.
My boyfriend’s next visit to the class happened to occur on my new kid’s first day. His name was Bruce, a sweet and somewhat meek looking boy. He had huge green eyes, and was about average size for his age. When he arrived that morning, his parents helped him find his cubby and introduced themselves to me. They seemed nice, like they weren’t going to be those parents who opposed the teacher at every turn. The other kids had stopped playing on the rug to stare at the newcomer, and Bruce stared right back.
He didn’t cry when his parents left, a promising sign. I gently guided him over to the rug and got my kids’ attention. “Good morning everyone! We have a new friend joining us. This is Bruce.” There was a murmured chorus of “Hi Bruce,” before they went back to playing.
Bruce carefully dipped his toes into the chaos that was my classroom, moving to the three kids playing with dinosaurs. Over the course of the morning, he warmed up to the rest of the kids; even if he didn’t speak much, his smile grew bigger and bigger.
By the time snack rolled around, it was as if he had been in our room the whole year. They were eagerly stuffing pretzels in their mouths when Morpheus came in. They all yelled, “MR. MORPHEUS!” and ran to the door. Poor Morpheus was momentarily terrified at being swarmed by 4-year-olds, but took it all in stride.
I smiled fondly at the sight, until I realized Bruce had not joined the throng. My new friend was staring at Morpheus in what could only be described as abject terror. His eyes were wide and his bottom lip quivered as if he were about to cry. I went back to the table and crouched next to him. “Hey bud, what’s wrong?”
He mumbled, “That man, he’s scary. I know him. My- my- my mom and dad said Pitch makes you have bad dreams when you make him mad.”
I frowned to myself. Morpheus may hold the title of Nightmare King and dress like a goth prince, but he wouldn’t use nightmares to punish children. “I get you’re feeling scared,” I reassured him gently, “You’ve already had a really busy day.” I pointed to Morpheus. “I know he looks dark and scary, but I promise Mr. Morpheus is a friend. In fact, he’s my boyfriend.” A little smile touched Bruce’s face. “I promise he’s just here to read us a story and maybe play with us for a bit.”
Bruce fiddled with his little fingers, his eyes on the floor. I could tell his tiny brain was working hard to process what I said. “If you want,” I offered gently, “I’ll sit with you when he reads us a story. Sound good?” Bruce nodded as the rest of the kids shuffled and ran back to their seats, asking what story Mr. Morpheus was going to read to them.
Bruce sat on my lap as Morpheus read Rainbow Fish in that hypnotically soothing voice of his. Just like every visit before, my class was absolutely spellbound, hanging on to his every word. My brooding boyfriend was even smiling as he read, his face becoming more and more expressive for their benefit. Bruce gradually relaxed under the Dream Lord’s spell, his eyes still wide and apprehensive, but enamored of the story.
The kids clapped when he was done, and I could have sworn a little chuckle escaped Dreams lips. Even Bruce cracked a tiny smile.
~~
Bruce gradually grew more comfortable around Morpheus, no longer trembling when the dour Endless entered the classroom. Two visits later, he no longer needed to sit on my lap during story time. Morpheus made an effort to appear more inviting and less mean once I told him Bruce’s fears.
Morpheus came a little earlier than usual for his next visit- the kids had just finished cleaning up and I was passing out snack. Like usual, they swarmed him at the door, competing for his attention. He let a tiny smile touch his face as he murmured, “Good morning, little ones.” Those bright, ethereal eyes met mine, and the adoration I saw fill them stopped my breath in my lungs.
My kids dragged him to the table where their cups of pretzels were waiting. The sight of Morpheus folding his lanky limbs to sit somewhat comfortably in the tiny plastic chairs would never cease to amuse me. He sat contently and watched them eat snack, nodding along with whatever they told him.
To my surprise, Bruce pushed his chair over so he was sitting next to Morpheus. I watched tensely, hoping and praying Dream wouldn’t accidentally undo all the progress Bruce had made. The child held out his cup of pretzels, clearly offering to share them with the man who once terrified him.
Morpheus hesitated, his first instinct to refuse and make some excuse about not needing to eat. I caught his eye and gave him a look: Don't you dare refuse this kid trying to overcome his fear and build a connection with you. His mouth gaped slightly like a fish, but he gave me a barely noticeable nod. Dream turned back to Bruce with a gentle smile and said “Thank you” as nimble fingers plucked a pretzel from the cup and stuck it in his mouth.
I felt my eyes well up when Bruce returned the smile and ate his own pretzel.
A few minutes later, Dream moved to the front of the room to read the day’s story. As usual, my kids paid rapt attention to the words coming out of his mouth, their remaining pretzels forgotten. Bruce had scooted his chair a little closer, staring at Dream with those big emerald eyes. My chest felt tight, like it couldn’t contain all the joy growing inside it. This was the kind of thing I lived for as a teacher.
When Morpheus was done with the book, the kids cleaned up their cups and Mike came to get them for recess. As usual, they yelled their goodbyes to Dream as they sprinted to their cubbies for coats and gloves. Bruce was last to the door, veering cautiously towards Morpheus. I gave my boyfriend a little nudge and gestured to Bruce.
Slowly, so as not to startle him, Dream lowered himself to one knee, resting his forearm on his other leg. He was now approximately at eye level with Bruce, waiting for the child to make the first move. I could see the boy working up his courage, the cogs in his brain working to make a decision.
He took a few running steps before throwing himself at Morpheus, wrapping the Endless in the most affectionate hug a four year old was capable of. Dream was undeniably startled; this was clearly the last thing he expected. It was also one of the last things I had expected of Bruce, at least at this point in time.
Slowly, carefully, Morpheus moved his arms to return the embrace. It was somewhat loose, made so both by the Dream Lord’s lean and lanky arms, as well as his general discomfort with physical affection from those he wasn’t familiar with. But, he didn’t reject the gesture, instead maintaining the contact like a warm, breathing statue until he felt the boy pull away. Bruce ran to his cubby with a “Bye Mr. Morphss!” and a big smile. Mike was waiting for him at the door, and guided him to follow the rest of the class.
I let out the breath I didn’t realize I was holding as silence descended over the room, my beaming gaze bouncing back and forth between Bruce’s cubby and my boyfriend. These two that I loved so deeply had both come so far in their own ways, both on their own and with each other- I was prouder of them than I could say.

River View
I think I'm ready to share my second Tori and Elena story! This one was also like therapy to write...and there might be a little more info-dumping. But I hope it speaks to someone.
"That was really an alligator!" I exclaimed.  Not that I'd never seen one.  But I couldn't tell you the last time I did.  It was just lying on a log, sunbathing, I guess, and the scales made it look like a dinosaur from a children's book.  I'd lived here all my life but it still looked out of place somehow.  I rolled down the window for a better view and craned my neck to keep staring as the car whizzed past.  "Do you see stuff like that out here all the time?" I asked incredulously.
"Not every time I come," Elena replied.  "I still get excited every single time I spot one.  We're almost to the parking lot."  She turned down a narrow dirt road with dense foliage.  Deer flies whacked against the car, and I made little shrieking noises at the sight and sound of them.
"Don't worry--I've got spray that'll deter them," she assured me, pulling into a parking spot.  There were several other cars, so we weren't the only hikers for the afternoon.
"I'm so glad you didn't want to get up early," I sighed.  "I had THE WORST cramps ever," I looked over at her and then it dawned on me that this might be TMI.  "Sorry--I forgot for a moment," I said, smiling awkwardly.
"Nothing to be sorry about," she said, pulling up the parking brake and the key out of the ignition.  She stared straight ahead, avoiding eye contact as she often did.  "I get periods, too, basically.  No blood, but for me the cramps are horrible, my breasts get sore, food starts to look gross, and the littlest things seem like disasters suddenly."
"Wow, I relate to most of that, actually," I told her.  I didn't realize Elena was trans for months; finding out did make some pieces fall into place in my head.  Her insecurities seemed magnified in the hostile culture of the South where anything different is perceived as an immoral deviance--even drag queen storytime was some kind of battleground.  As a lesbian, I didn't always feel safe, and I knew she didn't, either.  I could understand why she sometimes seemed closed off, though she was starting to come around.
"I brought Alex because I really wanted to listen.  To be listened to," she said in a stilted voice, like she was reading cue cards. "And I thought that you wouldn't want to after we got all sweaty, so maybe like, now?  In the car?"
'Alex' was Elena's stethoscope, which I'd only found out about because we were both drunk enough.  If she hadn't been, I'm not sure how long it would've taken her to tell me about this interest of hers.  Most times we got together, we listened to each other's hearts, and though it was really only a novelty for me, I readily agreed to participate again and again.  The way she sometimes lit up when I listened was unmatched by most every other sort of way I've made someone happy.  It felt good to be so needed.  I loved having a go-to person for cuddles and hugs, especially when I was single, which was most of the time lately.  She was beautiful, with long black hair, blue eyes, and a petite body, but the boundaries didn't feel blurred because I knew she was asexual.  I admit that I didn't really know what all that meant, and I found myself thinking of her often when we weren't together, wondering (worrying?) if my feelings were truly platonic.
She pulled Alex out of her hiking backpack, and I took hold of the ear tubes.   We'd done this many times, but it still seemed a little strange to wear the stethoscope and place it on her chest.  "Girl, it's beating fast.  It usually is when I listen," I told her.  And that was an unparalleled sort of experience, even for someone like me who never would've thought to do something like this unprompted.  Placing a stethoscope on her chest and discovering that her heart was beating fast all because she was excited that I was listening to it gave me a little thrill.  She always smiled and looked gravely serious when I told her it was so fast.  Her chest moved under my hand with every breath--an unexpectedly intimate part of this activity, and I watched it quietly for a few seconds.
"Thank you, Tori," she breathed.
"You don't have to thank me; I'm happy to do it," I insisted, pulling down the collar of my nylon top so she could have better access to my chest.
The sight of her wearing the ear pieces and the feeling of her putting the stethoscope on my chest were becoming familiar. I used to associate that feeling only with having to see a doctor, and never a pleasurable or even positive experience.  "Yours is slower," she told me.  "And steady. No skips."  She reached for my hand with hers that wasn't holding the chest piece, and I squeezed it.  This was becoming my new normal, I supposed, and in some moments it felt like home.  When she put Alex away again, she seemed so intense--her eyes wide and her face fixed into a frown that implied great concentration and...some level of shame, almost?  She looked away and I wondered if she was embarrassed to be so vulnerable.  I leaned over in the seat and put my head on her shoulder, hoping I conveyed that it was more than ok to feel so much and so openly with me.
When we stepped out of the car, she promptly doused me in bug spray, then did the same to herself.  It seemed to work because the flies hovered around us but didn't try to bite.  They still made me uncomfortable, but I was trying to be a good sport about this.  She had suggested so many times over the past year that we should go on a hike together--nothing crazy, mind you--it would be all swampy flat land, less than two hours from home and would take no longer than half a day, she assured me. And we could get some local seafood afterward.  The weather was just right for me to agree to it.
"How many miles are we talking?  Go easy on me, babe," I said teasingly.
"We can take the Cypress Trail, which is a 2-mile loop.  It connects to the River View Trail, which has an overlook that's not super impressive but it's only like another half mile to it.  Half of it is boardwalks.  And then if we want to go deeper into the woods-"
"I'm gonna stop you there," I said, with a smile so it didn't seem too rude.  "Those two trails sound like enough for me."
"Fair enough," she said.  And then, after a pause to look at my face, "I'm so excited you're with me!" She jumped up and down a few times.  It felt infectious, and a warm, cozy feeling welled up in my chest.
"I'm glad we could make it work," I told her, side-eyeing what looked like a horse fly hovering a little too close by.
The first mile or so was uneventful, in a good way.  We passed a couple that pointed out a barred owl looking down at us from a tall bald cypress, seeming almost to pose for photos.  I screeched when I noticed a snake curled up on the side of the boardwalk, and Elena protectively took my hand to indicate that I shouldn't get too close.  When we were both at a safe distance, she told me it was a copperhead and pointed out the Hershey-kiss pattern on its body.  I had to admit that it was beautiful even though I try my best not to wind up in the vicinity of venomous snakes.  The cypress knees, spider lilies, and even the algae film on the water were vibes. I liked that we were far enough from the highway that I could hear bird calls instead of passing cars.  It was so peaceful.
I was a few paces behind Elena when I heard her squeal with glee.  "What is it?" I asked, jogging to her.
She turned to me, her hands closed over something, then opened them up to reveal a large black and white beetle.  Instinctively, I jumped backward and almost tripped over a stick.  She seemed oblivious.  "It's an Eastern Eyed Click Beetle," she said with wonder.  "I love their big eyes."  I stood a few feet away and watched in horror as she allowed the beetle to crawl all over her hand and arm.  She snapped a few pictures with her phone.  "I'm so excited that I found one today!"  After a few more seconds of admiring it, she placed it on a tree trunk.  I couldn't remember when I last thought something was so endearing and yet so revolting at the same time.
She looked up at me, grinning like she'd won the lottery.  Over a bug.  "So um, you're not a fan of bugs, I know," she allowed.  "I got kind of carried away and I guess you've never seen me like that.  Hope it wasn't too disturbing.  Tell me more about what animals you really like."
I let out a chuckle.  "It wasn't disturbing," I said.  "But uh, you can have the bugs. Well, I love Mollie, for one."  Mollie was Elena's chonky daschund.  "We had a couple of great danes when I was growing up.  Don't laugh, but we had one named Scooby.  I loved him so much.  We got him when I was 6 and he passed when I was in high school.  I love turtles--especially the soft shelled ones.  So cute.  One time my girlfriend and I went to D.C. on vacation and there were these giant pandas at the zoo--Mei Ziang and Tian Tian.  I was obsessed with them.  I couldn't but wanted so much to hug them. I could sit and watch them for hours.  I actually went back by myself a couple of years ago--not long before I met you, to see them again.  They live in China now, though.  But I'd love to go somewhere else with giant pandas."
We talked for a while about what animals we'd seen in person, in the wild or zoos, aquariums, or refuges, and I wondered why we hadn't made any of those trips together.  We made tentative plans to take a day trip to an aquarium in Texas with capybara and porcupine encounters and before I knew it, we'd made it to the second trail, the one that was supposed to feature the underwhelming view.
I let Elena go ahead of me and watched her gait.  There was this confidence in her step that I rarely got to see.  The boardwalk had ended three quarters of a mile before, and the trail narrowed.  The flies were closer, but we'd re-sprayed twice to be cautious and I was mostly, happily, bite-free.  I liked allowing her to walk ahead of me, because she caught all the spiderwebs I couldn't see.  She accidentally ran into one of them and one of those banana spiders fell down onto her shoulder.  I screamed in panic, but she brushed it off like it was nothing and kept walking.
"The river's just up ahead, but you have to crouch down into this space here, then follow the path a few more feet," she told me. I followed those instructions even though she didn't realize that crouching down was one thing for her, being less than five and a half feet tall, and another thing for my almost 6-foot tall stocky body.  But I managed it with only a twig or two in my hair, and was rewarded with a solid, if not fancy, place to sit--a wooden fishing pier.
Elena pulled two chocolate chip granola bars out of her bag, said, "Here, Tor," and handed me one.
"Where did 'Tor,'" come from," I asked in an unintentionally loud voice.  "I feel illegal now."  I laughed at what might have been the worst joke I'd ever made.
She turned beet red and busted out a laugh.  "I have no idea," she said, "It just came out.  We can never speak of it again if you want."
I shook my head and sighed, taking a few gulps of water from my flask.  I was glad to be sitting, but I didn't think I could metaphorically sit on things the way Elena did.
"It's actually not underwhelming at all," I said, scanning the horizon.
"Glad you wound up liking it.  I kinda hoped that if I undersold it, reverse psychology just might work."
Undersell it she did.  The water was a murky brown, but the mostly-undisturbed natural area was otherwise clean, with purple and yellow wildflowers growing in abundance on the banks.  I smiled at the log below us with six turtles lined up, end-to-end, enjoying the sunshine as we were.  I tried to let my racing thoughts blend into the rushing of the river and just breathe in the fresh air.  My heart was pounding.  It was something I used to either ignore or get anxious about, but with her, I thought of it a little differently.  "Hey, do you want to feel my heartbeat?" I asked her.
"Of course," she said, wasting no time turning to place her hand flat on my chest.  "Oh, wow! Why is it so fast?"
"Did you know that in 'Wildest Dreams' on 1989, there's an interpolation of Taylor's actual heartbeat, like throughout the song?" I said, not knowing why I took so long to share this detail.
"No!  I did not!  Is that my Taylor Swift Tidbit of the day?  Thanks," she grinned.
"Yes I thought you'd be into that one."
"Oh yeah that'll do it."
"So, um, you told me you're asexual a long time ago, but I admit I don't know much about that.  You never dated, like, not even in high school or college?" I asked.
"No, I never did.  I was still pretty good at scaring people away with the intensity of my feelings, 'cause that's just me.  I was misunderstood quite a lot.  I never wanted to have sex, so I always thought dating would be a waste of time.  As soon as the person found out I didn't care about sex, I was sure that would be the end of it.  Pretty sure I'm aro too."
"What's 'aro'?" I asked.
"Aromantic.  I don't really get romantic feelings for people.  I can love them fiercely, but I don't want to like, kiss them or have them all to myself or think about buying a house with them.  I guess you could say I get 'butterflies' when it comes to thinking about sharing my heart thing with someone, but it's just...not like they describe romantic feelings in novels.  Or the movies.  Or by, like, the standards of anyone who's ever told me about their crushes or boyfriends or whatever.  In ace culture, sometimes we say we have a 'mesh' or a 'squish,'" she explained.
I let out a laugh, but not in a derisive way, I hoped.  "What does that mean?"
"Squishes are romantic crushes with no sexual attraction.  Sometimes I get those on celebrities, I think, but not so much in real life.  Meshes are like crushes with no sexual or romantic attraction. Like you have a strong desire to be close to someone.  Sometimes it's just that you want to be emotionally open to them in a way you would be with a partner, except the two of you aren't dating.  Maybe you're affectionate in a way that blurs the lines between friendship and romance from an outside perspective, even though you don't have romantic feelings for each other.  'Alterous' is kind of an umbrella term for platonic feelings that are tough to define.  Sometimes your feelings sit somewhere between the traditional boundaries of friendship and romance.  It's also kind of dependent on societal norms because we have a narrow view of friendship in our culture, you know?  A lot of times I feel like my feelings for people I want to share my heart thing with are kinda alterous.  At this point in my life, being over 30, I think if I was gonna have real romantic feelings, I would've experienced them by now.  I've certainly met people who were wonderful enough, attractive enough, and all that."
I tried to take all of this in, sure I would forget one or more of these words by the end of the conversation.  "So the...alterous feelings...that's just something that asexual people experience?" I asked.
"Oh, not at all.  I think it's a very common human experience, but most people think of relationships in simpler terms.  And they don't use words for all these things.  They fall in love and get married, spend less time with their friends as a result, etc.  Not being concerned with sex, and in some cases romance, too, ace people spend a lot more time analyzing platonic type relationships, sometimes to a fault," she laughed.  "For some ace people, a friendship will be the most intimate relationship they'll ever have.  There are just so many different ways to love," She smiled at me and we actually held eye contact for a few seconds.  "Thanks for letting me ramble."
"It's ok. I've pretty much never really thought about it," I admitted.  I didn't know how to put it into words yet, but I felt more at peace.  Maybe there never was anything to worry about.  If Elena's hand had still rested on my chest, she would've noticed that my heart was more relaxed.
I watched and listened to the water, then reached over and put my arm around her.  "I love you," I said softly.
"Aw, I love you, too, Tori."

introduction !! <3
ANTISHIFTERS DNI!!!
welcome to my blog !! i will not disclose my real name, but i will be going by cassie on this account, simply to avoid irls finding me.
on this blog, i will be talking about my journey and relationship with reality shifting. i have shifted a few times before, but it is not likely i will talk about that here. my reasoning for this is because, although successful in my attempts, i still struggled immensely and the time gaps in between shifts were not ideal. since then, i have restarted my journey and updated all of my drs, making changes both big and small depending on the reality. (and i also find it pointless to talk about previous drs when i no longer associate with that version of the reality i am going to. i think that would only cause confusion.)
some of my drs and s/o's include: (bold = main drs)
supergirl - kara danvers
glee - marley rose
hsmtmts - nini salazar-roberts
once upon a time - mulan
adult fame - melissa benoist
teen fame - olivia rodrigo
the walking dead (groupshift)
some facts aboout me in this reality:
i am a lesbian
i use she/her pronouns
i have anxiety
i would like to get tested before i flat out say i am autistic, but lets just say the signs are there ...
i love dinosaurs, pokemon, taylor swift, fall out boy, ducks, fiona apple, and dc comics !!
i probably wont do super detailed storytimes on here, just as i wouldnt do detailed storytimes about my cr, but i'll fs keep y'all updated on what's going on in my drs.

PRIDE stuff I recommend incorporating into a library/school storytime if your community is mildly uncomfy confronting that sometimes two men kiss, go!
Find a book that has a tangible story to it! For this storytime, I used Subway Baby, which is explicitly about two men who have a child together, but is more about the discovery of the child at a subway station in NYC and the process it takes to becomes a family. Heartwarming, a real story that happened to real people, and takes place in a familiar setting (for a bunch of NJ kids.) Another book I might use in place of this would be a book like Julián and the Wedding, which is about attending a wedding with two brides, but is centered instead in a story about what to wear to a wedding (and all the silliness fancy clothes cause.)
You can also pick books that aren't explicitly queer, even when the topics are: Except When They Don't, Fred Gets Dressed, and Princess Kevin are all titles that toy around with gender presentation and clothing without explicitly making the story about gender, making it obvious that 1) clothing is silly and 2) you should do what makes you happy. A boy is a princess. A girl is a football star. Your friends are astronauts dinosaur cowboys who live on Mars! All is well, be happy being you.
USE THE FLAGS! Every stripe has a meaning! Teaching the kids what every stripe in a flag stands for, and how to relate it to their own life makes the sight less intimidating and something more familiar. Since I read for real real real little ones, it's also a great chance to practice color recognition with them lol. "What color is this? Wow, you're so smart! This color stands for THIS big word, which means (longer explanation.)" I use this in Pride-Specific storytimes so there's a break between books.
Make the storytime about pride! ...No, like the emotion. Unless the kids have out people active in their life from a young age, they're probably not going to immediately understand what Queer and Pride and Gay and Trans and LGBT+ are or how they relate to them or each other or the fact that they could discover stuff about themselves later on in life...dumb it down. At most storytime ages, they're still in the process of building their self image and sense of well-being. Being proud is about being happy with yourself and what you do. You're a cool kid, and you should get to celebrate all the things about your life that you love! I ended my Pride storytime with teaching kids a new big word: ✨affirmations✨. Say one nice thing about yourself! This is something nice I say about you! Parents, affirmations are a great way to build self confidence and practice big vocab words. Try them out at home, reciting them in the mirror or putting them on stickey notes around the house.
Decorate your reading space. Hehehehehe rainbows 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈 No, seriously. The more fun the room is, the friendlier the topic feels.
And, of course, I end all storytimes with a hi five and good word to the kids' adults. Kid was energetic? They were so fun and excited today! Kid was zoned out? They were so well behaved! Two things can simultaneously be true.
Tips for non-librarians: for the coolest lgbt kids books, they're hiding in the nonfiction section. Seriously. Books about Gilbert Baker sewing the first flag and Marsha P Johnson and Stonewall and lgbt history around the world... In Nonfic. LAME. BOO. MOVE THEM TO MY COLLECTION INSTEAD HELLO. I WANT THEM. *grabby hands*

Netzach gets to be Programming and he fucking hates it.
Programming in libraries means putting on programs-- storytime, paint night, legal aid fair, weed symposium, what have you. Puppets and art nights and crayons. Programming gets to order all the neat stuff and plan all the fun. Netzach may have improved, but he's not ready to put on a smiling face for everybody.
But he's got to put on the inflatable dinosaur suit anyway and sing storytime songs ("Goodbye Friends (Don't Die Before Next Time)", "I'm a Little Sweeper", "Baby Shark") and wing it when shit falls through and try to be distracting when security comes by in the middle of story time to drag someone out of the bathrooms. He's very over it, especially after Angela starts riding his ass after the Enkephalin session (it's not even illegal yet, what's her damn problem).
On the other hand, in between doing dumb shit and planning dumb shit, he doesn't have to go on the public service desk much. And he can trade half of those to Yesod for his Children's shifts. Yesod does not take Children's shifts, not after the Incident. (No one else is quite sure what the Incident entailed, but Hod knows that whatever it was ended with a) Netzach offering Yesod the key to his enkephalin stash, and b) Yesod actually using that key. Hod kept an eye out while he was curled up under Netzach's desk. Eventually he straightened out, peeled the stickers off himself, organized the library’s supply of binder clips by size and color, and passed out. That information has been enough to make everyone else turn a blind eye to the illegal shift trading.)
Honestly, a large part of this is because Programming is the only department at my particular workplace I can think of that's been more depressed than mine, but that is incredibly situational; they just happen to have gotten particularly dicked over the past few years. People fresh to the department have a lot of fun. You can tell Programming by the piles of books and toys and puppets on their desks. In a less dystopian setting, there’s a lot of legitimate joy in it. But either way, there's few departments more appropriate for a patron librarian of art.

Dinosaur Agere Ideas 🦖
Dino Dig Excavation: Set up a sandbox or designated area in your backyard for a dinosaur dig. Hide toy dinosaur bones, fossils, and eggs in the sand, and use small shovels and brushes to excavate discoveries.
Dino Costume Party: Organize a dinosaur-themed costume party where participants dress up as their favorite dinosaurs. Encourage creativity by providing dinosaur masks, tail accessories, and face paint. You can also incorporate dinosaur-themed games, such as pin the tail on the T-Rex or a dino dance-off.

For example, you can make a baking soda and vinegar volcano erupt like a dinosaur, create fossil imprints using clay and plastic dinosaur toys, or simulate a dinosaur's bite force using everyday objects.
Dino Adventure Nature Walk: Take a nature walk in a local park or forest, but with a dinosaur twist. Create a scavenger hunt where you search for specific plants, rocks, and natural features that could have existed during the time of the dinosaurs.
Dinosaur Puzzle Play: Gather a collection of dinosaur puzzles of varying difficulty levels and spend some time piecing them together. Whether it's a simple wooden puzzle for beginners or a challenging jigsaw puzzle for more advanced puzzlers, solving dinosaur puzzles can be both relaxing and rewarding.
