This is a rant I've been meaning to get off my chest for a while, but the conception on Tumblr, AO3, and sometimes here, that Jake is capable of "teasing" Dirk, and all that implies, irks me deeply.

Let me be clear: Jake English is not self-aware. He, in Canon, never does anything resembling self-awareness, maturity, emotional boldness, or anything else that requires a spinal column. This includes apologizing to anyone, talking about his problems in a way that doesn't end up being selfish, teasing someone, particularly Dirk, or transitioning. (I maintain this especially; he does not have the boldness, maturity, self-awareness, or nerve to have transitioned his gender presentation pre-Act-6.)

He has an *understanding* of pranks, if we allow Paradox Space as evidence, but that's it. He makes *Tavros* look like a fully-roleplayed-into-Class-shift Lord.

You know what the popular Fandom perception of Jake, as a member of a DirkJake relationship, lines up with? *John*, before his main writing trait became a deep, all-consuming depression and repression thing.

Like, John’s original Act 5 and earlier characterization before his underreaction to his dad's death and the spiral that sent him down towards his current "transition would not save her" characterization is what people use for Jake (charming, funny, actually seems to have his shit together enough to maybe be transmasc (man, remember *transmasc John*?), and, most importantly, seemingly capable of dealing with the levels of vaguely sociopathic bullshit that an even-close-to-accurate Dirk would throw at him), but DirkJohn/JohnDirk is less popular, to the point of not having a consensus order, simply because Jake and Dirk are *coded* as liking each other.

I think a lot of people miss that DirkJake is fundamentally the Equius of relationships; Hussie isn't one of those writers that feels pride in finding pathos in the ridiculous, but spiteful glee and humor. He genuinely does not care if he accidentally touches people's hearts in a way that doesn't involve Dave, or *maybe* Vriska. The fact is, DirkJake is a joke relationship, which is spelled out very clearly in their conversation.

You know, their conversation. The one they have together. The time we see someone who is actual Dirk Strider, not Hal pretending, not Aranea co-opting a memory, not a Brain Ghost, talking to Jake. That time.

Yeah, that doesn't exist. DirkJohn has as much conversational basis as DirkJake.

Company content, fanservice, mediaplay: Why is talking about company content, fanservice and mediaplay such a big deal to you? I mean.. I know why... you want to be able to think that whatever you have made yourself believe about Jm and Jk is their actual love story and it being part of a company content will taint that. See, the very obvious mistake you are making (maybe it’s ignorance, maybe it’s naivety.. I don’t actually care) is not understanding what we are looking at. We are looking at company content for the most part. BTS is part of a company, they make money of us, because they are part of a company. Do you really think you are watching their normal everyday lives without intervening or guidance from managers, public relations, stylists… all sorts of creative teams. Like, who do you think edits their videos? Who do you think come up with ideas for Run and BV? Have you not watched their reaction videos? It is actually insane and very uneducated to say there is no company content anon…. or, does that only apply when it comes to Jkk? The same goes for fanservice. Everyone who’s a bit invested in K-pop knows that thats a thing that is widely discussed and actually pretty common. I think it’s been used in conversation wrongly for the most part, but it’s certainly a thing. Every member does it, a lot of members engage in it together. So why can’t I mention it? Or again… is this only a problem when it comes to Jkk? Mediaplay.. again… very common! I suppose this is only an issue for you because it’s got to do with Tae and Jennie.. but mediaplay does happen anon… I think we can all say that mediaplay has been strong during the recent Hybe/Ador issues. So, why can’t I talk about those things when they are all pretty common in fandoms worldwide. Maybe, you aren’t familiar with them.. I don’t really care about that, but you are doing yourself a disservice by not looking into it more. You can’t actually understand BTS and the members if you don’t factor in company content, fanservice, and mediaplay. Also, fanservice, company content, and mediaplay aren’t Tkk or BTS specific terms.. they belong in the greater realm of music industry terminology.

Now BTS is more than the combination of those things. Their friendships are real, the reactions they have when interacting are real (though perhaps sometimes enlarged… for entertainment value yes). Their lives fall in a gray area for me, because it is mostly real, but at the same time it’s very much intended for fandom and all members will have in mind that there’s limits to what they can do and say. When I talk about company content and fanservice I don’t mean that their reactions or relationships are fake (I am actually a very strong believer in BTS being real brother-friends-bro types), what I mean is that the company is very much the one who decides what we get to see (by editing choices). You are an idiot if you do not understand that. Mediaplay is done to get across a certain narrative. Sure it’s not great, because it’s manipulation.. but it’s a thing.. deal with it.

You will not have caught me talking badly about either Jm or Jk once. I simply haven’t. I can’t help if it doesn’t fit your idea of Tkkrs. But I am a hundred percent sure that you won’t be able to find a bad word about them on my blog. I've constantly talked about how I feel Jk and Jm's friendship is real and deep. That does not exclude them from being in company content and from doing fanservice though.

"Get out of your imagination": It’s clear you are stuck in Jkk think (what else is new these days). If you had actually taken time to go to neutral spaces to understand the ‘get out of your imagination’ comment, you would know that there is actually a lot of debate on what he meant. I’m sure you will have found some k-army say he meant to debunk Tkk, but K army aren’t unbiased. The ITS Talk: So the whole ITS conversation can’t be talked about while leaving out company involvement.. you can’t either if you were to go indepth. The very obvious thing being that Jk was asked about this during an interview they mixed throughout their actual talk. That is the company involvement as well as the choice to make this conversation and the way it’s been edited public content. When you look at the conversation Tae and Jk actually had (without the Jk interview), they talk about having been busy, the way they were as trainees, Tae’s issues a bit.. and that’s it. At no point do they hash out the ‘awkward part of their friendship’. I have talked about this plenty… and it’s elaborate so maybe just look it up in my blog. But also.. yes, it’s orchestrated. The combination of Jk talking and Tae and Jk's moment, the decision to air this, but mostly... the way it was portrayed does not add up to what Jk and Tae's interactions were actualy like. See, you have no reason to look further than what you are seeing. In fact, Tae and Jk having been awkward better suits your thoughts than the opposite would. You haven't actually looked at the way Tae and Jk were interacting all those years.. you just hear 'awkward' from every Jkkr you see and so you believe that's wat it was.. because you want to. Taekookers however have seen that things don't add up. We are not delusional about that, you too will be able to see it if you were to look further.

Jk and birthdays: Jk doesn't care about his birthday... the man has told you so.. move on. Jm is the person to be very active when it comes to visit his members on important days. He does not actually only do this for Jk. Jk didn't celebrate his birthday, the man was in pyjamas on his live for crying out loud. If Tae had something else that day while knowing Jk doesn't care to celebrate his birthday (and maybe they did.. but just on another day... who knows) then they would have used something called "communicaton" and probably Jk had no problem with him not being there. All of you have decided what dates and holidays matter to them... it's not as if you actually know.

Taennie: Holy crap anon... you think Tae and Jennie attending the same concert but sitting way apart is them going there together? Poor you! You know who lives in the same area as Jennie and who actually left at the same time as Tae? Yoongi!

Hi, I want to give my opinion about the consequences of the incident, as a girl who's been doing edits on tiktok for more than a year, surely I'm not a creator, but maybe something similar.

It seems strange to me that a lot of creators are leaving, due to the incident, here's when I though "you can always separate the content from the creator" Because I see it that way, and I think that is not that bad doing this, because if you like the content but dislike the person who made it, why leave the thing you like?

If you create content, is for you, for your followers, friends and people who share the same interest, right?

I strongly believe that if someone does something bad in the fandom, all the other people have nothing to do with it, like, they are not the same as the ones who did it.

If someone causes trouble, does that mean that all the fandom is the same and will cause trouble too? No

If someone insults another member, does that mean that all the fandom is toxic and rude? No

That's why this is getting confusing to me, I'm not judging anyone for the decisions they are making, I just don't comprehend them entirely and I'm trying to see their point of view too.

to those of us who are back at work, here is a treat for you. well aside from that gorgeous video posted by ybo official for us. let us take a moment to appreciate his team because they have leveled up in terms of editing and posting. a lot of fans gave them so much grief for the past year but they got better!

let’s start with the BGMs used, which caught the interest of some fans. i really do believe that the music in his videos don’t necessarily mean anything, i would believe more of a connection can be seen in wyb’s qq music account. lol. especially with douyin, cause the team would most likely look up the popular audio BGMs. as for the one posted on Weibo, they used the reprise version of odesza’s line of sight. It’s so beautiful. It somehow fits the vibe of the scenery, the melancholy and hope. Then you have WYB’s face that made it 1000000x better.

the message of the song is in line with yibo’s too!

the next one on douyin, is from the drama MY DEMON which is really popular right now. so in true douyin fashion, you gotta use something trending as BGM. and the tune somehow first the dramatic vibe of the video too so it’s a win/win.

there are other things noticed like that grafitti with i love you on it. and that floating thing with the number 5 and green light. i guess sometimes we think that the stuff in the background don’t matter but sometimes it’s intentional.

this editing similarity between xzs and ybo. a long running cpn in this fandom. i know for a fact that xzs does their own editing and gg usually gives his ideas. they don’t outsource it to anyone else. so i can’t give the explanation that they hire the same editing team. tho this kind of effect is not exclusive to either of them. so is ybo team taking lessons form xzs? 🤔 either way, i’m lovin the upgrade and cinematic quality of yibo’s videos lately. it fits the actor yibo brand perfectly.

I am deeply disappointed by BXG these past couple days - more so than I've been maybe even in YEARS. Y'all are behaving like a bunch of toxic solos, many of you being blindly instigated by toxic solos who are manipulating your feelings for their own ends.

DD went to an event and had a good time, looked amazing - one of the rare occasions where he's not wearing a plain black suit - posted multiple amazing videos and photo sets, was the guest of honor and the most anticipated face of the evening...

And all anyone GAF about is this petty drama bullshit.

I've gotten so many messages about Rocco and the various toxic and often deeply homophobic rumors going around about him, about GQ and their supposed rift with GG, about this stupid F'n kadian, and I've had only ONE message about DD and how great he looked and how great it was to see him in such a casual feeling setting, looking relaxed and happy.

This is toxic fandom, in a nutshell. This is toxic fandom.

I had thought y'all were above all that. I really had. But it seems Tumblr really is no less toxic than Twitter. At least, that's what it feels like these past couple days.

What do I think of this kadian moment? I think that it was likely intentional, and I find myself laughing at how sassy he is. That's what I think. GG's fans were pushing a hateful lie about DD - which it seems like all they're good for these days - and flooding his photo post with comments about DD supposedly lying about his height, and his response was to slap them with the facts.

If the kadian was intentional - and I suspect it probably was - it was a slap on XFX, not on GG. Because fuck them, seriously. Fuck them for constantly dogging DD's every step with hate hs on Weibo. You've probably heard about so many of the attacks on DD over the last while. "Desperate illiterate", his height, etc. What you might not know is that every single one of them is orchestrated and pushed by XFX.

2/27 is XFX's shame (that sadly they have no shame about). It is NOT GG's shame. He did no wrong, and everyone knows it. His fans haven't learned a thing, and keep doing this kind of garbage, which might one day lead to GG's downfall or to another period of having to lie low in obscurity, etc.

The kadian shows the post to be directed squarely at XFX, where it belongs. Nothing more. The only people who will notice or care about it are the assholes in the comments arguing. Bystanders won't notice or care. It does absolutely NOTHING to harm GG. It just embarrasses and calls out XFX.

If DD can go hang out with and be the guest of honor for an event that is a huge feather in Rocco's cap, making Rocco look good in China and internationally - the man is getting a lot of accolades for the event - if he can walk the red carpet with him and be friendly with and have an obviously good relationship with him (Edit: and can hug him like a good friend), then no fan has any excuse for holding any kind of grudge against him.

There is no one closer to GG than DD, so if Rocco is OK with DD, he's OK with me. End of fucking story.

People who are reading into this all kinds of conspiracy theory BS need to go touch some grass. Seriously.

How did it start?

A lot of people started posting some really cool art of a TotK ending where Zelda returns as a hybrid dragon creature thing. I saw a few that called it a “bad” ending and I noticed she was often portrayed with dominantly human-features just like, with horns or a tail, or the purple eyes, etc. I love to play video games(clearly) and I enjoy the challenge of seeing various endings, not just “secret endings” (think Heavy Rain, Until Dawn, The Witcher 3, Drakengard- anyone else play this?) I got to thinking about how her coming back didn’t really like a true “bad ending”. To me, a bad ending, really, would be one in which she didn’t get to magically, miraculously come back in any form. A bad ending to me would be Mineru’s warning held true. And in doing so, it would become The Legend of Zelda because she becomes the stuff of myths. Of true Legend. Fulfilling destiny (botw-era and the series as a whole). My brain sort of took off from there regarding the implications this would have on Hyrule and specially, our boy Link.

How could you! A Bad ending? Is this story at least hurt and eventual comfort??? Does it have a happy ending??

I could tag this hurt and comfort, but usually people who read these types of stories have certain expectations of what “comfort” is (and that’s okay!). Same with a “happy” ending. I don’t need stories to be wrap up in a bow with warmth to enjoy them. Honestly, some of the stories that have touched me the most over the years have had “sad” endings/negative character arcs/tragedy. That being said, I don’t particularly enjoy pure whump, either. What I feel is most important and what I am to do with this story, is to make any suffering meaningful. With purpose. And hopefully- maybe- you’ll see the “comfort” that is possible even in these types of stories.

Wait! So Zelda remains a dragon?

Yes. They defeat the demon dragon. Rauru and Sonia appear in a silent thanks, then they disappear and Link falls from the sky alone into the water. The Light Dragon continues along in her flight above him.

Link is also the only one who can see/has ever seen the Light Dragon.

Are there any other major changes from TotK?

It follows the game pretty closely. It’s just hard to say exactly what is in this story from TotK because there is just so much. In BotW, I headcanon Link took his time. He doesn’t remember anything. He is alone, lost, and the world is a vast, broken place. Therefore, it is plausible/ realistic in my head for all the side questions to be done prior to the ending being reached. In TotK, especially with the headcanon he and Zelda were together in the time between BotW and TotK, I had a hard time imagining Link would waste much time on anything unnecessary to save Zelda. So, with this in mind, I’ve had to justify the side questions to include in the story. Link’s journey is a bit different than my own. Whereas I actually spent 80% of my playthrough exploring the depths, this Link only went down when necessary. Meaning many of the lightroots have not been unlocked and he only has part of the armor of the depths. In the Linktober and the early concept, he has the entire set but this has been changed for the main comic.

How far after the events of TotK does this take place?

Five years.

Is it completely planned out?

Yes. I have a complete rough story outline done. It’s 17 chapters. I am anticipating some editing as I go, but regardless, it’s a big project. A huge shout out to @zeldaelmo and @fioreofthemarch for helping me get the story set. They are both phenomenal writers for the LoZ fandom so be sure to check them out!

What happened to the comic?

I made the decision to tell this story (initially) in writing. I have a very specific style in mind for this story as a full comic and honestly, I just don't feel like my artistic ability and overall proficiency is where I want it to be at this time. I'm still learning! I will be continuing to post art, concept art, and some comic panels here as I go and eventually, I would love to adapt the story into a full comic, but for now, I'll be telling the main story in writing.

How long have you been drawing?

I’ve been drawing all my life. Just for fun, although I took a few classes in school. Digitally, self-taught, since fall 2022. Still very new to this with lots to learn! I have a minor in creative writing and feel much more confident and comfortable with that.

Auva’s relationship dynamics: (In pact order)

Characterization notes.

Mammon:

Auva’s super attached to Mammon. He was her first friend in the Devildom as well as her first pact. She thinks of him as her best friend, her big brother, her guardian, her partner in chaos and bullshit, her safe place, her home. She LOVES him. She would kick anyone’s ass for him. She regularly scolds his brothers for being too mean to him. Mammon can’t resist big-brother-ing her, especially when she’s feeling a bit clingy.

Mammon saying she’s “his human” and “his baby” always makes her smile, because it makes her feel loved and wanted and safe. She responds to that by referring to him as “her Mammon”. It has the same effect on him. Whenever she’s scared or sad or sick, she wants Mammon.

She adores him, but can’t match his energy level. She tries, and he’s patient about it, but sometimes she overdoes it and needs to recharge. He learns to understand that, and slows down for her when he can, because he’s the best.

Mammon’s really helpful to her with math! He’s actually a living calculator! Whereas, she might have discalculia. She hates math. She insists he doesn’t do it for her though, because she genuinely wants to learn, so he has to put in the effort to actually teach her—AND reassure her that she’s not stupid, and calm her down when she gets frustrated with it. It takes a lot out of them, but it does help! He’s better at the emotional support than the explaining, but pretty capable of both, to his own surprise. Auva’s very good with written word, she is living spellcheck, so she helps him out with his own homework too by fixing all his spelling and helping him edit his essays.

His tsundere tendencies caused a bit of trouble early on, because Auva tends to take things literally and not pick up on subtext. There was a situation between the custard incident and the retreat when Mammon said something too mean out of defensiveness. Since he hadn’t said anything like that in a while, she believed him and took it hard. Mammon had to take it back, apologize, and explain himself. He learned that he HAS to be honest with her, because she will just believe what he says. It’s good for him. Good practise with admitting his feelings and thinking before he speaks.

She makes him more responsible and self-aware. She is a living reminder that he’s actually very good at being a responsible guardian figure, he’s not just some idiot who’s only good for taking roasts from his brothers. No, there is in fact someone in the family who genuinely thinks he’s awesome and would rather die than be subtle about it. He needs that.

Levi:

Auva loves Levi a lot. His room is a sanctuary for her. They bond over a shared love of video games and involvement in fandom culture. She can be as weird as she wants to be with Levi, he’ll never judge. He understands her in a way most don’t. She also doesn’t like parties and crowds and loud, bright places. She gets sensory overload and panic and depression episodes too, and she connects with him about it.

Auva absolutely revels in being Levi’s player two. It makes her SO happy.

Her mental health isn’t the greatest either, but that’s another point of connection. Their issues usually contrast with the other’s personality just right for helping each other. Levi struggles with feeling like he’s not good enough to be loved, Auva proudly flaunts her devotion for him and all her friends. Levi thinks no one cares about his interests, Auva listens happily and sometimes asks him to infodump to ground her. Auva is forgetful and has the emotional object permanence issue that makes her forget that people love her, Levi doesn’t forget a thing and insists on spending lots of time together to remind her that she’s loved. Auva feels no envy to the point of sometimes being a pushover, Levi helps with that. Auva helps Levi struggle a bit less with his envy too. They balance that way.

The main thing they don’t align perfectly about is, they’re both touch starved and enjoy contact, but Levi’s real shy and self conscious, whereas Auva is real clingy and also self conscious about that specifically. That’s a thing they have to work on together… and Levi HAS to take the lead about it, because Auva is scared to overstep.

Once they HAVE discussed it and come to an understanding, when they’re fully comfortable and open with each other, a very common thing in their interactions is like this:

Auva: (vibrating in place) “Hi Levi hi Levi!!”

Levi: (waiting for it) :)

Auva: “can i touch??”

Levi: (nods, unfolds arms)

Auva: !!! :D (launches herself at him)

Levi: …<3 (squeezes her)

Beel:

Auva ADORES Beel! She’s about as attached to him as she is to Mammon. Beel, as well, understands her on a level most don’t.

They have similar guard dog complexes. They’re both major foodies. They have the same earnest, gentle, protective disposition. They find each other refreshingly blunt and sensible. They’re both softhearted and open and introspective and understanding. They find it easy to talk to each other, to the point where they’re each other’s go-to confidant—sometimes even over Belphie (for Beel) and Mammon (for Auva). They’re emotional support besties.

When Beel feels bad but won’t talk about it because he doesn’t want to disturb anyone, Auva can pry it out of him. She gives him the same soft, worried, puppy eyes expression that HE uses to make his family (Auva included) open up to him. God demon king someone help the poor bastards that Beel and Auva team up on to get them to talk, they’re too powerful together!

(Like, an example interaction that could not happen with anyone else):

(In the kitchen at midnight, eating a snack together)

Beel: (observes Auva for a while)

Beel: (with big, concerned eyes) “…are you sad?”

Auva: (composure breaks instantly) :’(

Beel: “oh… come here, baby.”

(Auva stumbles over to Beel, crashes into him. Beel picks her up. Hugs her tight, takes her to bed and holds her for as long as it takes for her to calm down and talk to him. Listens quietly. Encourages her to fall asleep on him, then doesn’t leave once she has.) (He is PERFECT)

Their dynamic is like, big pitbull and small mouse who have adopted each other. It’s touch starved (needs to hold someone) & touch starved (needs to be held). It’s super fluffy found family. Her favourite place to sit is in his lap. He likes having her there too. They also both enjoy when Beel picks her up and carries her around. Auva wholeheartedly believes that more people should be like Beel (with less appetite though, the world can only handle one Beel sized appetite) and that’d make the world a better place. She looks up to him, trusts him, happily accepts influence from him. She takes his opinions seriously.

She only looks forward to going outside with Beel. She’s not usually a fan of outside, but with Beel it’s good because they’re either taking a nice walk somewhere quiet and peaceful, or they’re going to buy food. He motivates her to exercise too, and she’s surprised to discover that it’s fun when it’s with him. Auva makes Beel happier, and Beel makes Auva better.

Asmo:

Asmo’s first impression on Auva wasn’t great. She found him tiring, scary, and too pushy at first, but as she observed him and got to know him, she realized he meant her no harm and grew fond of his boundless bubbly energy. She saw through his facade of vanity and self-obsession pretty quick. It’s obvious to her that Asmo’s trying to cover up some fucky self esteem. His drive to be beautiful enough to be loved makes her sad for him.

She really grew to love him though! His generosity to his loved ones, his emotional intelligence, his kindness and big, caring heart, his self expression, his sugary-sweet disposition that’s on par with his raging sweet tooth… even his sharp, vicious wit. It all becomes wildly endearing to her.

After they pact, she finds out that the avatar of lust is actually pretty ace positive! He’s a good friend, too. Platonically attentive. Asmo and Auva are by far the two most affectionate people in the house, and it makes them both really happy to have someone else around who is reliably willing to provide all the love and attention they need.

Auva’s style is pretty plain and simple, her skin is sensitive and always super dry, she finds makeup to be a sensory nightmare usually, and she’s big on body neutrality. Like, she barely cares to remember what she looks like. She gives zero shits about if she might be ugly, because she wholeheartedly believes that’s not her problem since she’s not the one who is looking at her. All she cares about is being comfortable. Asmo doesn’t understand that at first, but he’s determined to spoil her anyway. He makes it work. He finds her soft clothes in colours she likes that fit her properly, he finds skincare and makeup products that feel nice, sit lightly on her skin, and don’t smell too strong. He’s careful not to go too crazy and make all this less fun and comfortable for her. Eventually, to Auva’s surprise, she finds that she… really likes the clothes, and enjoyed the spa treatment a lot. She is a bit mystified to find that she… actually feels kinda pretty? And that’s actually a nice experience?? Wild!

She never quite warms up to makeup, mostly because she doesn’t care to learn how to do it herself… and she’s sure she would constantly ruin her makeup by smushing her face against her friends when she hugs them. She’s happy to let Asmo put makeup on her on special occasions though.

Satan:

Auva gets along great with him! They’re both nerdy bookworms, they both love cats, they both take issue with unexplained orders and bad instructions and condescending assholes… they get each other.

They’re well matched in cold logic. They never genuinely fight, because Auva is good at containing her emotions too, and explaining issues very clinically BEFORE they have time to snowball into big, emotional landmines. If they ever argued, it would sound like an academic debate. Usually, if there’s any problem, there’s no argument, just negotiation.

(Example of what I mean):

Auva: hey, man. I’ve been having this issue [explains it very clinically]. If you wouldn’t mind, I would like [these adjustments]. If this isn’t possible, let’s figure out what would work instead.

Satan: Thank you for telling me. I will [make these adjustments]. I think it will be difficult to [make other mentioned adjustments], so I will consider what will work instead and get back to you.

Auva: thank you for making an effort for me. I love you :)

Satan: thank you for trusting me. I… also love you.

The two of them have a standing policy of informing the other as soon as they start to get frustrated or angry in a situation like that, BEFORE it has a chance to build. They go into different rooms to scream at the walls or write stuff down or whatever they need, then text to check on each other in 20 minutes. It’s a very effective policy! They NEVER fight with this system in place.

This unnerves the others though. It runs counter to a lot of their personalities. They get worried. Auva and Satan both find that pretty funny, which further defuses any drive to fight.

Usually though, any thought of them fighting is irrelevant. They hang out a lot! They do homework together. Satan helps with everything Mammon can’t. Auva refuses to do math with Satan because she expects that they’ll both get angry. He’s the best person to go to about magic by far.

They also watch shows together! Satan likes mysteries and high stakes dramas, Auva likes documentaries and D&D shows. There’s some overlap there, and they’re both willing to go a little out of their comfort zones to see the other happy. Auva is very sensitive to second hand embarrassment though, and she always hides in his shoulder when that comes up. He only laughs at her a little.

Auva brings her love for very poetic and lyrical music to him too. They have a lot of fun analyzing good lines together. He breaks out the poetry books and the novels he finds interesting enough to do character studies for, and they have the best time.

Auva’s favourite thing, though, is when they curl up together and he reads aloud to her. It’s comforting. She snuggles up to him and blocks out everything but the sound of his voice, his breathing, his heartbeat. The warmth of him. The relaxing smell of him: the ink, leather, and old paper vanillin smell of old books, plus the peppermint scent of tea he likes, all over the fire and ozone smell of his magic. His hand strokes her hair as he reads, only pausing to turn the page. It’s peaceful. He is peaceful, when he’s around her.

Belphie:

Belphie and Auva are really similar. They have a lot of favourites in common—astronomy, trivia, performance arts, sushi, napping, cuddling, Beel, etc etc.

They’re both sleepy and clingy and babie. Their speech patterns are a bit similar. They even dress similar! Before she got Belphie out of the attic, the others would occasionally double take just looking at her, because she reminded them so much of Belphie.

Auva got attached to Belphie pretty quick. She knew she was being lied to immediately, knew he was obviously sketchy from the start, but warmed up to him—at first because Beel misses him, but then… just for himself. She thinks he’s shaped like friend.

Auva made a point of sneaking up to the attic to see him as often as possible. To update him about her progress with the pacts, yes, but more just to… hang out with him. To update him about what’s going on with his family, to complain about Lucifer, to remind him that Beel misses him every day and that he’s loved, that no one has forgotten about him.

She feels for him, really. He must be lonely and bored. SHE wouldn’t be coping well in his position. She can’t help but grow fond of the sleepy cow guy. He’s very cute. Looks huggable… and he’s trapped ALONE, no one is hugging him!! She would NOT be doing okay if that were her! And… they’re SO similar.

She thinks he’s funny, too. His snarky sense of humour is pretty entertaining to her. She spends hours just sitting across from him, leaning against the attic door, lying down on the floor, just chatting. Vibing in silence. Humming quietly to herself, spending time keeping him company.

She slips him snacks and little items through the gaps in the door. His tail flops through sometimes, and she combs through it with her fingers. Sometimes, when he seems particularly lonely, she reaches through to hold his hand.

She got really attached to him. She cares about him a lot. So… even though she smelled danger from the moment she met him, she discarded her suspicions. Even after she learned about his hatred for humans, she felt optimistic. Even though she… had a bad feeling about opening the door… she wanted to trust him. She was excited to meet him properly! She wanted to be real friends, without the complications inherent to the situation. She wanted to see him smile and be reunited with Beel. She wanted to hug him.

…well. She got to hug him.

The recovery was long and difficult. Repairing the relationship was delicate. Tricky.

It got done, though. After all that, Belphie is… exceptionally soft with Auva. Very gentle and sweet. He won’t be a brat to her. Won’t push her or prank her or be mean or treat her roughly. He won’t even be mad when she wakes him up for no reason.

He’s almost unrecognizable to his brothers (except Beel), seeing how gentle and patient he is with her. Personally, he thinks it’s the least he can do. Just to himself, he can admit that he’s wishing to be real friends with her too.

Lucifer:

Auva’s feelings about Lucifer are… complicated. She loves him, she looks up to him, she admires him, she wants to hide behind him, she can’t help but think of him as a sort of father figure.

But also, she’s consistently frustrated with him, because she HATES when people are mysterious on purpose! She hates when people expect blind obedience, she hates condescension, she hates being confused for no good reason. She hates when people think they’re above help from those who love them.

And she DOES love him. She worries for him, too. She thinks he’s too stressed, she thinks he needs a therapist badly, she thinks he could really use a hug and a nap and perhaps a juice box, if only he weren’t too damn proud to accept them.

She tries to convince Satan and Belphie to soften their tricks on him, to just confuse him instead of stressing him out or hurting him. It works sometimes.

But also she wants to drag him down to her level by his ear and lecture him until he decides to be nicer to his brothers AND to himself.

She’s so tempted to yell at him sometimes… sometimes she can’t resist telling him what she thinks, even though she expects that it’ll piss him off. She doesn’t like fighting with any of her friends, but… sometimes she HAS to call him out on his bullshit!

Still, she loves him. More than anything, she wants to be honest with him. That’s where that frustration comes from. She wants to trust him, and be respected and listened to.

Also, she wants to curl up in his lap and feel safe. She wants to hide under his wing and know that nothing can harm her, because like… be so for real, NOTHING in all three realms can out-scary Lucifer. She’s confident about that! (So is Mammon.)

And she wants him to relax! She wants him to rest, and delegate some of his work, and believe her if she ever works up the nerve to tell him that he doesn’t have to keep up his perfect performance at home! That she loves dorky big brother Luci more than impressive, scary work-Lucifer. That his brothers love him that way too.

She wishes she could ask him, just for a while, if he would put the mighty firstborn aside. Only at home, only when he’s not too busy… Don’t be the Morningstar, the right hand of the demon prince, the impressive avatar of pride. Just for a while. Maybe for a day off. Just be their Luci. Just hang out, chill, and let his family love him.

You know it took me a while to realize how bullied I am as a Jikooker. People use this term alot here to play victim, but when I say this is as a Jikooker, there is proof backing me up. I guess when you first enter the fandom and just trying to find a place, watching OG content, trying to navigate BTS and finally settle in, you aren't necessarily paying attention to shippers. Its once you get settled in and actually actively start supporting Jikook, you realize how targeted you are and how hated Jikook are and slandered and defamed they are. When I first saw GCF Tokyo. It just thew me for a loop and you figured that alone would have people convinced Jikook were more then friends cause the message is kinda loud and clear. Boy was I wrong and found out the hardway. Was being told the queer song he used is just a song or he don't know lyrics. Jimin isn't his main model cause Jk said. Yeah but he is tho. He is the main person in his video and the first one to be in his video. Kinda common sense. Saying it was a fanservice trip. When my eyes see the quite the opposite. And because I don't think like others I have been consistently degraded, harassed, bullied, my comments stalked. People telling me I am insane, crazy. Jikook are not queer. Jikook are not friends. Jikook are not together. Jikook are dating other members. And yet none of that makes sense to me and cause I say it doesn't, I'm the crazy one who needs to leave. I commented one day on the bts twitter official post of a video of Jikook posted by Jimin. All I said was, damn I never really realized how close they are and immediately hit with 100 people telling me they aren't and flooding my comment with edits of their ships telling me Jikook are a company cover up for other ships. Made me question my own sanity. My own eyes. my own observations. And here we are years later and I'm still being told Jikook enlisting together as buddies, mind you this keeping in line with their dynamic we seen for years and closeness, I'm being told its all fake, fanservice, forced & if I believe in the buddy system I'm stupid. I don't know how I've made it this far as a JIkook supporter, even as a fan of Jikook or Jimin, if I'm being honest. Cause the bullying, harassment and trashing of Jikook is extremely overwhelming to handle. And the fact people think this is normal is extremely disturbing and concerning. The hate on Jimin has sent me nearly puking for real. I'm just trying to support my favs in peace and no one will let you. I don't get it. Does anyone else feel like they are genuinely harassed and bullied for supporting Jikook even as friends, or is it just me?

You know what I really like about SMG4?

I like how everyone can express their feelings, without judgement. A lot, no, ALL, of the male characters aren't scared to cry or show fear. The woman characters, Like Sakio for example, are big, strong, and tough. But, she still does show that she has emotions. Tari, A shy gamer girl, that still can kick ass when she has the courage. Bob and Kazio are the only two males, off the top of my head, that haven't cried. No one judges others for having feelings, Not even Smg3! Which does kinda make sense, as he's started to become more emotional recently but he didn't even before that!

Be like the Smg4 cast.

EDIT: Bob, though it was treated as a joke really, does cry in this ep.

EDIT 3: Another thing I'd like to mention is Smg3. I've resently watched some of the 2011 videos w/ him in them, and he has really not changed as much as the fandom says he has. In the Youtube Arc is where is personality shifted, and then just went back in my eyes. He was always a crybaby, and it's hinted that he had a tea party, something he still does! Side note; Has anyone else noticed how Smg3 has made himself stand out compared to Smg4? He looks different, and was making original content during the Youtube Arc. He's never really been a "threat", he was always weak. The Youtube Arc really just made everyone think that Smg3 was dangerous, when he still lost. I do understand that he deleted the Smg4 crew, but then they came back, unharmed because they were just chilling in the Internet graveyard.

It’s a WIP but the most recent chapter is super satisfying, don’t you worry.

The Cardinal's Bride by @ramblingoak If you’re not following along with this, you’re REALLY missing out. This is pure bodice-ripper GOLD. Some of the most satisfying slow burn I have EVER read. I reread the whole thing every time Oak drops a new chapter.

The Prince by @kissingghouls Vampire!Terzo x slayer!reader need I say more? I am loving the latest installment of Suck Club (you should really read them all). Terzo is pathetic and wears crop tops and it has me actually kicking my heels and giggling as I read.

I do not know if it was you, or another blogger that made a character analysis of Gojo that made me like the character and discover more about him through the manga.

While I never read the manga before or watched the anime, I had been exposed to it by my friends and some BNHA bloggers. Back then, I found Gojo to be overhyped (discount Kakashi) while liking the animation(?) style, bit still no interest.

BNHA and its Endeavour Redemption arc in the doing was tiring me to the point that I stopped reading it and manga altogether. For mayne six months or so, until now, at least. I randomly found your blog last week , and it got me a new hyper fixation 😃. You got me to start reading JJK (Megan cos playing also helps).

I bought Number 0 and Number 1 of the mangas. Only to remember midway in Number 0 that Walmart Kakashi will be snapped in two like a Kit Kat🥲. I saw that leak in one of the BNHA blogs, and I didn't mind it back then since I wasn't in the fandom, but Lord, now it sucks.

Anyways, all this long rant to say that I like reading your posts.

Gojo, rest in pain, I guess?

Probably was someone else, I don't write much analysis posts about Gojo. I think once or twice I did, I can't recall. Probably reblogged one though you saw!

I don't know, they're really just two different characters to me. Also... I was never really an active reader or watcher of Naruto like that (just very familiar) so when I first saw Gojo, Kakashi didn't register to me at all.

Like, I did not get similar vibes at all. And it actually annoys me that people will be like "He copied Kakashi's flow"! Kakashi ain't the only white haired, face covering character out there with magical eyes, y'all stop. 😆

Even funnier when, by this point, Gojo has probably been unmasked more than he has been wearing something on his face and switches up what he puts on his face. Kakashi been wearing the same mask for...? Also, didn't it take years for Kakashi's whole face to be shown or something? Took like seven episodes for Gojo to show that face.

I always been a fan of Megan's music and then when I found out she was into anime I was like "YYYYYEEEEEAAAAH". She cosplayed as Miruko one Halloween and it made my year. I am a former believer that Miruko would vibe to her music.

Just seeing other Black women being unapologetic fans of anime (or anything) does wonders for me and I hate it when people act as if it's such a foreign idea to understand. Honey, we can have interests, too, like everyone else. It's normal.

I always try to be careful about spoilers for anything I'm into. Like, I can talk about a chapter that happened two years ago, but I'll still mark as a spoiler because I know some people don't read Mangas or even if they do haven't caught up to that specific part.

That actually what set me off when Usher cosplayed as Gojo because he literally put "rest in peace, Gojo" or something along those lines and the amount of people who weren't even aware of 236... like bro, come on.

I knew it just had to be a marketing tactic because I know damn well Usher ain't seen JJK a day in his life and how convenient it is he comes out with that cosplay around the time when "Daddy's Home" becomes a fairly popular song used in Gojo's edits. I can't go watching one video on YouTube without hearing that song play when Gojo pops up. And even if he has... WHY WOULD YOU TAG IT LIKE THAT?!

Oh, but Megan definitely doesn't know any of the characters she be cosplaying, alright... okay... 🙄

It started out okay, turned into a train-wreck REAL fast.

I can understand being annoyed at how people will make fun of something like Katara bringing up her mom a lot, especially if these people don't do that for any other character when they ALL bring up their traumas a lot, but the way it quickly escalated into "Actually, Katara was right in telling her brother he didn't love their mom like she did" was honestly one of the most disgusting things I've read by anyone in this fandom - which is saying a lot.

Also, once again the complete bullshit claims of "The Gaang and Aang in particular never try to be there for Katara, emotionally, like she was for them."

Considering this person mentioned disliking videos that frame the entire show as just Katara being a bitch towards poor, friendzoned nice guy Aang, I would not be surprised if they let this dumb edits drastically affect how they see completely innocent Kataang moments as being something they weren't OR that they had already read Zutara "metas" (aka wildly out of character fanfic) and formed their opinion on these dynamics looooong before they actually watched the show.

People really gotta stop focusing on what the FANDOM does when they are talking about how CHARACTERS behave towards each other. Yes, some fans are sexist and hate Katara for the "crime" of being a female character - that does not mean the Gaang forced her into the role of being their mom/caretaker/therapist.

Sokka is CONSTANTLY trying to be useful the group. Toph learned to open up and clearly enjoyed spending time with Katara, even if it was to do things she did not want to do at first (you TRY dragging Toph to a spa and have people touch her feet after she explicitly said that was the one thing they were not allowed to do. See how fast you get crushed by a rock).

And Aang - oh my God, AANG. That boy was all about trying to make Katara happy from day one. They played together, he offered to go with her to the Northern Water Tribe so she could become a pro-waterbender, would always apologize to her whenever he did something wrong, explicitly told her she gave him hope (mirroring how she had hope the Avatar would save the world), was in complete awe after she literally brought him back to life, fucking blew up a factory with her, and tried to stop her from making a big mistake and sacrificing what was left of her innocence by killing a (admitedly AWFUL) man - yes, Zutarians, NOT letting your friend do something they'll regret IS being a good friend and thinking of what's best for them, sorry not sorry.

THE WHOLE REASON Katara is so emotionally attached to Aang and wants to be there for him whenever he needs anything is because HE ALLOWED HER TO BE A KID AND HAVE FUN AGAIN.

You'd think so called "Katara fans" would be able to understand such a simple concept that she verbally explains to us IN THE FIRST DAMN EPISODE!

Anyone that claims Aang didn't love and support Katara just as much as she did him is either misremembering the show, in deep denial, or just flat out lying to you.

But nooooo they won't ship him with someone like Jhope where they don't have to make anything up or Jin where they actually do some pretty sus things where edited end up giving us some awesome Taejin sexual tension videos 🤭🤭😂 V does the exact kind of fanservice with everyone which is why what Tkk do can never be special, but with Jin he kinda goes the extra mile and I for one love to see it 😂 It totally makes sense to me why Taejin was the first ship in BTS way back when. So yeah, these idiots could ship Vhope or Taejin and never be frustrated by their ship. But nope. Antis have categories. JJKs, PJMs, Homophobes and Anti shippers.

As for the Anti shippers, they are not homophobic, but don't believe any members are dating each other. Heck, they too ship members but not seriously, just for fun. They think other shippers take it too far because skinship is normal in SK and so what Jikook do is normal skinship. (Even though we've seen Koreans react to Jikook and say they would never do that with their own friends but I digress)
