Went to donate blood again today. Before Covid, one got a warm meal at the end of the session and as much chocolate and softdrinks as one wanted. Now, you usually get a bag with goods or shopping or petrol vouchers. Today, the bag contained ingredients to make veggie lasagna (and chocolate and a drink, of course). I think it’s kinda cool that they included the fresh veg, especially the (not so little) aubergine.

Donated blood today, and I'm still thinking about a fantasy world where blood magic isn't an Evil Dark Thing, but is instead just another kind of healing.

Or maybe it's both, to different people. This bandage on the crook of my elbow could mean a multitude of things.

How much do I apologize you ask? I went to donate blood and halfway through, I felt faint and immediately started apologizing to the guy taking care of me because I was about to pass out.

I apologized because I was about to faint.

Red Cross worker today when I came to donate blood: "Wow you have such good veins"

Me internally: "This is great. I'm getting a good grade in blood donation."

While I did do the good deed of donating blood today, I doubt I’ll cross off as many as Mabel did in a day, as well as I don’t know how I can abolish the Electoral College (but I’m glad she figured it out ;) ). I also love that she both massaged Waddles and scratched him. ;)

He bled out in recovery and his best friend donated his own blood ,, too much of it that he fainted

The worst parts about donating blood is stuck between when a sliver of blood is dried in my skin because I can’t get it out and it legit feels like a sliver. Or seeing the needle under my skin. Not afraid of needles, not afraid of blood. But I will pass out if I see the needle under my skin.

Otherwise, it’s nice to know that it’s an effortless way I can give to others. :P
