i wil be honest i dont think the tenma parents have changed much from how they are in canon. i think i’ve mentioned saki before too. tldr for tenma sibs saki gets worried about tsukasa but tsukasa is allergic to vulnerability especially with her cause he feels the need to be this ideal reliable big brother for her. so saki feels helpless bc of how much she *wants* to help her bother but he won’t allow her to yk. any opportunity he has to leave/redirect a conversation thats getting too focused on him and if he’s feeling bad he takes. and saki finds it frustrating as hell.

do you know that one fanart featuring rui’s mom and the caption is smth like “when you have to watch your child go through the same thing you did as a kid and there’s nothing you can do about it” yeah its that kind of feel with his parents i think. caring so much about their kid and not knowing how to help him.

i cannot remember for the life of me if nene’s parents ever show up in canon. i think its a similar thing to rui’s parents though. nene just has her mom though hashtag divorce. incorporating something from my friend’s fic though: after the Incident nene’s mom didn’t let rui see nene for a bit, saying maybe it’d be better if he give her some space. she didn’t have Bad intentions but since those two were young she’d known about rui’s reputation as a weird and dangerous kid. she heard stuff like “oh what kind of parent is she to be letting her daughter hang out with him” but she tried not to pay it any mind cause nene seemed happy with him. and then The Incident happens and she has a worse impression of him and thinks nene might be better off distancing herself from him. (*cough* contributing to rui thinking nene probably hates him bc surely nene must have told her Something that made her think rui should leave her daughter alone *cough*) when nene finds out thats why rui hasn’t been coming by her house though she is Fucking Livid. and it doesn’t cause this big argument or anything but nene now keeps away from letting her mom in on her own problems and her mom avoids interfering with nene’s life but isn’t really sure what else to do abt it. so like she’s not intentionally harmful but when she did try to help she didnt take nene’s feelings into consideration or even ask her and just did what she thought was best. so theres a bit of a distance between them? im having trouble explaining i think but i hope this makes sense

hi! im glad u asked cause its a bit complicated- its both just him, and all of them at the same time? its a direct quote from backdraft, but es said abt the same thing in baptism of fire (paraphrased "i dont care if you want to apologize to your victim through me") and hes probably heard something similar from The Voices, but what i was specifically thinking about when i drew it i was moreso futa's inability to find himself redeemable and this idea of his victim (because he didnt know her so anything regarding her feelings is entirely in his head) and this indifference she'd alledgedly feel towards him and the pain he's going through now (because "it isnt enough" to mend anything he did). so, like, in simpler terms- its a consequence of es/the voters judgement and futa's own guilt and self-hatred being projected on his victim, who ultimately doesnt have a say on anything that happens to him anymore

In the byler fandom theres a recurring problem of reposting art and its been getting worse and its been frustrating me for a while now (especially since im an artist in the fandom) so i decided to make a post about it lol

im aware that theres lots of new young st fans, or if anyone simply didnt know,, what is reposting?

- reposting is basically just taking another users creation (whether its a simple word post, art, fic ex.) and posting it to another site

So whats the problem with reposting?

- the problem is that most times, the thing that is being reposted is posted without proper credit, or reposted when the creator doesnt want it to be reposted

why is this a problem in the byler fandom?

- reposting has been a problem in the fandom since forever (like most fandoms) however theres been a much bigger rise due to tik tok and pinterest, and ive never seen THIS much reposting (especially for just one ship) in a fandom before

- theres been an increase in popularity in tiktoks with a caption similar to something like "byler fanarts to make your day better!!" and then tons of different art by different artists being reposted- ALL WITHOUT CREDIT, AND ART THAT ARTISTS HAVE EXPLICITLY STATED THAT THEY DO NOT WANT TO BE REPOSTED

- there are TONS of pinterest accounts deticated to just reposting art from tumblr or instagram onto there (almost always without credit and permission)

all of this is bad because itll just increase the chain effect of reposting

all those fanarts reposted onto pinterest? theyre gonna be reposted onto tiktok, which people will resave to repost to yet ANOTHER app

- recently ive been seeing 'putting byler art into AI videos on tiktok AND THIS IS THE WORST POSSIBLE THING YOU CAN DO,, this basically means you STOLE an artists art, REPOSTED it without permission or credit, and then put it into a system WITHOUT the artists permission, that will take their art and steal their artstyle and hardwork

-another problem is "rating byler fanart" slideshows ive seen on tiktok too,,, thats so rude and disrespectful to artists. dont take artists for granted, without fanart the fandom would be in shambles,, rating peoples art and making rude remarks isnt cool, especially when youre stealing from them in the first place

also ive been seeing ways that people are "crediting" artists and:

-no, just because there is a signature or watermark on the art doesnt mean you can repost it

-no, putting "credit to artists" in the description isnt proper credit

- no, just because you DO credit them properly mean you are allowed to repost the art in the first place

- no, saying "oh i just found it on safari i dont know who the artists are :((" isnt a good excuse, artists spend hours on their work you can at least spend five minutes looking up who drew it

So, how do you repost art correctly?

1. Check the artists bio/description, if it says something along the lines of "reposts allowed" then continue, if it says something like "ask for permission before reposting" that means going to the art you want to repost and asking them if its okay to repost and name the where you want to repost it to! if there is nothing in the bio about reposting DONT REPOST IT OR SIMPLY JUST ASK, never assume

2. if you have the artists permission to repost, then repost the image, and in the description (or anywhere else that is clearly visible to viewers) state the artist's username and the app you reposted it from (ex, art credits to @/artist on *app*)

and if that seems like too much work to go thru to repost someones art,, then simply dont repost at all. artists get the most credit and recognition by posting things themselves. them letting you repost their art? theyre doing YOU a favour. artists spend hours on their pieces, and YOU refusing to give them credit is rude and disrespectful, and just blantant art theft

and no, "if theyre putting it online, expect it to get stolen" isnt a good excuse either,,, people dont park their cars in parking lots and expect it to get stolen,, and the same should go for art too

-if you dont know who drew it or if you are allowed to repost it, DONT REPOST

-artists take hours drawing things that make YOUR fandom expierence better, dont take it for granted, take the time to credit properly

not to add more straycatj asks to your inbox but yeah the language barrier is making things way harder than it needs to be- combined with the fact that automatic translators tend to translate some japanese words kind of harshly, i think a lot of people who see that she posts english translations of her captions for the silly photos have assumed that she must be able to read a long and potentially emotion heavy response with just as much ease and fluency. her more recent posts/reblogs in just japanese have mentioned her being very frustrated about having to use the language everyone responding is much more fluent in for an internet argument and asking people to consider what it means that they can articulate themselves much clearer than she can in the language they're having a conversation about something complex/nuanced in.

i don't necessarily fully agree with her on the copying question, but i can see why combined with already being upset her pets were used without credit for someone's gallery piece, not being able to translate the nuance of her feelings/argument to the vast majority of people reading her responses is probably making her come across as more unreasonably angry than she actually seems to be imo.

It was always entertaining to watch people be so shocked by different food.

And it always made for good conversation, especially so early in the moring over breakfast and coffee.

Y/n leaned over the table, lifting from her chair kissing Steve softly. Her lips pushed against his softly, calmness in her still self. He closed his in response, how he longed to feel her lips against his own after all that time.

She pulled away, sitting back down in her seat.

"Wow..." Steve whispered, "You taste just like breakfast."

Y/n laughed in response, "Thats a good thing! Trust me!"

She could only contuine to laugh as he smiled.

That was the best god damn breakfast dinner you had and will ever have you think

You paid Mr.Saleh with a profound thank you and that you two would definitely come back sometime soon.

You and Steve took a walk through the streets, people finishing up setting up there booths for the day as the sun rised.

You two laughing and joking, holding hands tightly as you wandered through the open stands.

You tried new things- well. Steve did. You had spent a time here forced by *cough* steven *cough* once upon a time, all in good...learning fun...yay....learning whike you get your ass kicked.

But in that response you had tried many foods and learned new cultural things

So you were happy to share such a thing with Steve

And he was happy to learn, especially from you

Watching your smile grow as you pointed out new fruits to him, explain how simple day to day culture was

You two spent a few hours in the markets, he realized you had connections just about everywhere.

You even took him to the Egyptian pyrimds, which he enjoyed

Not that he knew there were most likely litteral gods in there.

But soon enough you two made your way back through the portal, you both back in his room.

You gotta admit its pretty funny watching him dump his shoes of sand into the trash.

"Well...Im gonna head out now." Y/n spoke quietly, "It was nice...ya know...catchin up."

He chuckled lightly, "Yeah. Yeah it was."

Y/n smiled small, "So. I'll see you-"

"Why don't you stay the night." He cut in, "if you want! You don't have too..."

"I don't wanna get you in any trouble."

"Dads on another bussniess trip." Steve commented, "mom doesnt trust him ya know..."

Y/n chuckled, "Heaven forbid."

Steve smiled, looking down at his hands, "We could...do whatever..."

"Yeah. I'd love to stay." Y/n smiled, "I. Don't have any chlothes though-"

"Don't worry about it. I got it." Steve told her, "repayment for dinner."

Y/n nodded

It was an akward few mintues until you both settled down.

Simple talking back and forth before you both asked each other the "Will you date me" question

It was comidic actually, you talking over one another just to end up asking the same question.

It also settled things down, akward tension, diminished.

And the eye catching starts...

Shortly catching each other's gaze as you sat next to one another on the bed.

Then its moring all the sudden.

And neither of you want to get up.

That was until the one and only came through a portal waking you up.

"Y/n. We have a-"

Y/n looked to the side, still have asleep, but fully awake once she realized who was standing there.

"Woah! Woah! Get out!" Y/n defended, waking Steve up.

"Seriously?" Stephen asked.

"Yes!"

"Dude. Why are you in my house?" Steve asked, still half sleep.

"Why are you naked with my niece in your bed?"

"Stephen!" Y/n argued.

"Honest question." Stephen asked, "It's natural. Phermons and-"

"Stop." Y/n told, "what do you want man?"

"Matt Murdock went Missing." Stephen added.

"What?" Y/n asked sitting up, holding the cover to her chest, "when?"

"Last night." He told, "he's not the only one. The Midnight Sons have gone missing. Including you're father."

"What? No." Y/n told, "I seen him yesterday. Who's stupid enough to kidnap Frank fucking Castle anyways."

"I talked to Mrs.Castle-"

"Turn around." Y/n told Stephen he doing so with a sigh as Y/n got up to dress, Steve following her in dressing, "and if you're talking about Joyce. It's Byers."

"Any how." Stephen told, "There's a list of superhero's. Roggers, Romonaff, Stark. The list goes on."

"In the middle of the night then?" Y/n responded buttoning her jeans, "Why not you? Mr.Sorceer Supreme."

"It's unknown."

"Alright then who's not gone missing?" Y/n responded.

"That I know of?. Well-"

"Ah! Y/n!" Loki cheered walking through the portal, "you're dressed poorly. That shirt is hideous."

"It's...Steve's. Steve."

"Hi, I'm Steve. Steve Harrington." Steve introduced he walking around to shake Loki's hand.

"Hm. Makes sense." Loki stated.

"O. M. G did you two fuck!"

"And...him..." Stephen sighed.

"Like little jack rabbits. I bet you tried to kill him first. Le Gasp! Enemies to lovers! I did not see that coming!" Deadpool laughed then leaned towards Stephen, "Can I stab him first-"

"Shut up-" Stephen argued smacking Wade on the back of the head.

"Ow! Hey you know that hurt!" Wade argued, "You and your little shit stain slap hard."

Y/n raised her brow.

"Getting back on topic-" Stephen defended, "we need you to stay in contact. Here is a list. I've looked it over, seems everyone your close to is on that list."

Y/n was handed a rolled paper Stephen had pulled from his sleeve, opening it. He was right.

"Peters not on here. Neither is Kate Bishop." Y/n responded.

"I was luckily enough to get to them before whatever took our friends took them." Stephen added.

It was devisitating: Bruce? Missing. Wanda? Missing Thor? Missing? Missing missing missing.

"Russo..." Y/n mummbled.

"Do you have anyone. Enemies? Rivals?" Stephen asked.

"No. Russo maybe. But he couldn't take everyone on." Y/n responded, "I mean he can go toe to toe with Frank maybe...but alot of the Avenger's? No. No too many at one, too different in fighting styles.."

Stephen ended pulling you away to New York

And Leaving Steve alone.

"Y/n!"

"I'll come back I promise-"

"In ya go lover girl." Deadpool shouted picking up Y/n.

"Hey! Wait! Dude!"

"No time for face fuckin!"

"Wade! Wade put me down!" Y/n argued.

"Lets fuck up the universe first Mrs.Harrington!"

"No! No! No! Im not married! Im not a Harrington-"

But the portal closed leaving Steve there alone.

This simp...

Makes sure you regularly drain your drains, take your medication.

You dont even have to get the fuck up, I mean he's your personal butler until the doctor gave you the okay.

Three times a day you get a smoothie. He can tell that you dont want to eat because of the pain.

The least you can do is drink something to nurioush you while you were in pain.

If you're embarrassed about having to sleep on some dog pee pads for the drain. Dont be.

Wilbur may not understand but he will constantly comfort you. He'll even make a video to tell his viewers he won't be posting for a moment. A personal issues came up and that is all they know for now.

Also when cold he'll try to keep you warm by very, very gentle cuddles. But any sign of pain and he's off of you and getting you warm blankets and heating packs.

His sweaters? Now all yours. You have no say. He will give you one every day knowing you find alot of comfort in wearing his clothes.

The last thing he wants is you in pain. Especially if it was caused by him.

Your testosterone shot? Dont worry he's got it for you.

He doesn't want you to get up unless you needed to go to the restroom or you were itching to get up.

If you dont take it slow he will threaten you.

This is a threat. He will make you sit back down if you tried to get up and clean.

All in all he is a simp and your butler.

Technoblade

Technoblade may not know what to do but he will try.

He's quite nervous but when he realized you havent eaten and needed something in your system for your pain meds hell make you something soft and light on the stomach.

Are you cold? He'll cover you in a blanket and just sit next to you. Floof senses you in pain and cuddles you more then technoblade.

Techno was a bit butt hurt but knew that you needed alot of support right now.

With his height his clothes are either tight or loose. But his hoodies are always huge. And very fucking comfortable.

His scent relaxed you and helped you sleep at night.

He is a hidden simp.

He will make sure you're comfortable. If you want him to he'll sleep with you in the living room.

When you start walking him and Floof are constantly following you. Just to make sure you are safe and comfortable.

You cant help but love your two boys.

His streams and videos are already inconsistent but he did say his next video or stream might take a longer time.

But if you dont mind then you'll sit near him while he streams. If you needed anything he'll get it.

You saying hi to chat. They know you're in pain by your tone.

And anyone he's in a call with will ask what's up. And when you tell them they'll understand and they'll hype you up.

It warms techno's heart when his friends hype you up.

God this closeted simp is melting internally.

He will tease you.

Pictures are taken and spread around the internet like a wild fire.

This dumbass just got out of surgery and didnt expect to feel like trash lol.

But off camera he's quite the nice guy. Reminding you to drink your water, getting you soft foods or soups, heck he give you some of his pushies from his youtooz.

And this behemoth of a man will give you his shirt or hoodies.

You are with him when he streams or records.

There is no say.

He wants to keep his eyes on you and make sure you are comfortable and safe.

Lowkey dragged you bed into his recording room, you were just vibing in the corner.

You meds are on a set schedule. If the time lands when he's on stream he doesn't think. Just gets up grabs your meds and a premade smoothie.

With that he gave them to you.

Watching you swallow that pill because you can be stubborn with pain meds.

Returns to the stream.

Yells at chat for calling him a simp. He told them you were in pain and it's the least he can do for you.

Will low key rub your back off stream. As sleeping while sitting up us hell on your shoulders.

Jambo is all over you, soaking up the attention he can get while you were immobile.

Schlatt would glare st him for taking away his S/O.

When it came to you wanting to walk he will let you.

If you hurt then this man would laugh and tell you to sit your ass down. You are going anywhere just yet.

He's gonna carry you when you are in as much pain.

He's tall and there is no stopping him.

It makes him feel a bit happier due to the fact you aren't hurting as much, and still getting to the place you needed.

Also he will hug you if he sees you are uncomfortable. The hug is very soft and unlike him.

But at least he is trying.

He also keeps his yelling down, doesn't want you to make too many stiff movements. It would hurt the hell out of you.

Tommy

Ok. Hear me out, butler.

He see the pain you are in and as one of his best friends he wont let you do anything.

Your parents were out of town after your surgery and it wasn't their fault their work called in suddenly.

So you were sent over to Tommy's for the three weeks they were out.

Tommy would let you relax on his bed, heck even sleep on it as well.

Doesn't care if your drains stain the bed. That's an easy clean up and he wants you to be comfortable.

He does still stream. Because it's something he does for a living.

But he'll try to keep it a bit quieter.

You once walked out of the room when he was streaming. You looked like a gremlin, hunched over while you had to take a piss.

When you entered you were greeted by wilbur, techno, and phil telling you they hope you heal fast.

"It only gets better from now on (y/n). Take it easy alright?"-wilbur

"Congrats mate, just relax and dont forget to focus on healing."-Phil

"Yo you got the surgery. Pog. Stay healthy (y/n)."-techno

You melted lightly. A small smile graced your face.

It brought you joy and there was nothing that could compare to it. Honestly.

It seemed almost every day someone tommy knew was hopi g a speedy recovery.

He once yelled at chat for saying you should suck it up.

"CHAT THEY JUST WENT THROUGH SURGRY. LEAVE THEM ALONE!"

You forgot that your parents were even out for those weeks.

Tommy would definitely understand slightly that it would hurt to constrict your chest.

"You cold?"

When you nod tommy is up and handing you one of his hoodies. They are big and comfy. Easy to put on too. So they are perfect.

His two dogs, Walter and Betty?

Expect them in his room curled around you. Dogs know when humans feel pain and when they need something to comfort them.

The stream kind of enjoyed that.

They got wholesome content from you and dog content.

Win win.

Tommy will make sure you have your meds.

If it lands during a stream he blacks out the camera and carefully gets you the things needed for it.

Get you a best friend like tommy.

They wont let you do much when in pain.

Tubbo

He doesn't fully know what to do. He went and spent a few nights over at your house.

Your parents asked his parents for help so they sent over tubbo.

They made a list but the poor boy couldnt read it.

"A sm-oosthie with their pain pill... what the hell is a sm-oosthie?!"

It took him calling tommy to ask him to tell him.

"Tubbo. It says smoothie and who is this fo-."

He hung up before tommy could finish and made the smoothie.

Your cat was quite cuddly.

When he walked in your cat was on your lap.

"Tubbo? When did you get here?" Oh yeah it was a surprise.

"Not too long ago. Your parents left and asked me to help."

He was doing it in all good.

But he scared you so badly.

He bought you a stuffed animal...

It was a huge minecraft bee. And by huge I mean huge.

Tubbo may not know how to help you fully but he's trying.

Tommy came to visit with wilbur and phil.

Tommy was meeting up with them and you lived close to wilbur.

When they saw you laid up in bed, tubbo trying to find out how to help with your medication phil kinda went father mode.

You got homemade soup to take your meds.

Tubbo was quite happy to see you smiling and lightly laughing.

When they left you felt better.

Tubbo may not know how to do alot but he tried his best. And you loved every moment.

You got you best friend to help you. And nothing was better then that.

Ranboo

Ranboo spent the night and all you guys could do was joke about the pain.

The jokes were quite self deprecating too.

All night you guys were up.

You couldn't sleep because of the pain and he didnt want to sleep due to the fact he didnt want you to be alone.

So you two were sleep deprived and your parents were concerned. But understood you two didnt want the other to feel bad.

After you healed a bit your parents got called into work. Leading to you spending a few days over there.

Ranboo streamed a recorded with you in the back ground.

He forgot you were there once and he turned on face cam. There you were in the background nose deep into a book while wearing one of his hoodies.

You were freezing and your shirts were a bit too tight.

He just gave you one of his and that was that.

"Whis in the background?"-dono

"In the background?" He turned around to see you just reading your book.

"Oh. That's one of my friends. They had a surgery a week ago."-ranboo

He turned to you, "(y/n) say hi to stream."

Looking up you waved.

"My gay mind went brrr at the idea of no sacks of fat. Now body do the big pain."-(y/n) 2021

It brought a laugh to ranboo and his chat.

You joked through the pain. It was funny.

Dream

What is this I see? He's a simp indeed.

Low key he's answering your beck and call.

He's smothering you in love.

It may not be physical affection but it is still affection.

Your hoodies are replaced with his.

They are huge and comfy.

He saw something online that reminded him of you.

He said it was cute and decided you needed it.

You loved it. It helped you sleep.

Since sapnap lives with him he sends in sapnap sometimes because he's recording or has to get something that wasn't in the house.

Also when you found the zipper you unzipped it and found dream stashed some gift cards and little trinkets in it. Along with a note.

It shocked you kind of.

But you loved it. It was quite comforting that he gave his affection in these ways still.

Even if it wasn't physically.

Patches is on you 24/7.

She's cuddling you and being very gentle on you.

Low key she won't leave you though, she's following you everywhere, on your lap, sitting there when your on the toilet.

She's clingy. More clingy then before.

But it warmed your heart.

If george visits then he'll see a little gremlin making a b line to the bathroom.

All because the pain made your stomach feel upset.

And you hadn't eaten anything because of pain.

Dream is quick to rush in and see what's wrong.

You were sitting on the ground in the bathroom. Needless to say it didnt end well and you hated it.

"Baby. Do you want me to get you a smoothie and your pain meds?" You were grateful.

After leaving the bathroom you lightly hunched over you noticed the British man in your living room.

You watched his videos.

You waved lightly with a smile.

"Oh sorry (y/n) I didnt tell you george was coming did i?"

Your look told it all.

"Sorry you have to see me like this." You had the urge to apologize.

"No dont be sorry. Surgery is painful."-george

With a small nod you went back to your room and relaxed.

George

He didnt know what to do at all.

He answered your requests.

But he didnt know why you needed that thick ass blanket in the middle of the summer.

But now you have it.

Your stuffed animal that was left in the living room?

It's in your arms by your side.

He's sad it wasn't him in your arms but understood it would cause you pain.

He just lightly lays in your lap.

It brought you comfort and him comfort.

Your germilin ass tended you get up and walk at the weirdest time too.

Your are going to get a snack.

5am?

You are on your way to the toilet.

7am?

Your once more in the kitchen getting something to eat with your pain pill.

George slept through it and was confused when you weren't in bed like the doctors told you to.

He's quite meticulous with your meds and eating habits.

He doesn't push but makes sure you have something with that pill.

Hell try to help you with your bandages. But sometimes got queasy at the blood and stuff.

It was okay with you though.

You didnt mind that due to the fact that you too got queasy as well.

I think you guys sleep through this alot.

Wilbur and tommy visited.

You was shocked and confused when they had a few get well soon gifts.

Tommy got you a small fidget toy, just something to do with your hands sometimes.

Wilbur got you a few books and a small stuffed toy.

It was a orca.

You loved it but still loved the one that george got you.

He got you a little wooloo one.

It was something that was soft and easy to cuddle.

But the books wilbur gave you were amazing.

It gave you something to do for a long while. And it gave george some more cuddle time.

Other than not knowing what to do george was a great source of comfort.

Sapnap

Sapnap is a bit more experienced with it.

Kind of knowing what to do and all together he just know more then most people.

There is a regular schedule for you meds and so called meals, he changes out the dog pads if he notices them dirty. He knows how to maneuver himself next to you so there was no pain.

He also sucked up that he would be overwhelmingly hot and sat next to you under the blanket.You weren't nearly as cold because of that.

Also since sapnap lives with dream I imagine that dream pops in some times and so does patches.

You all were probably best friends as children. And people always thought that you and dream would get together.

Only because you two were more touchy.

But you saw him as an older brother, and took a liking to sapnap.

Dream was really suportive and saw you as a little sibling.

Dream probably saw you not doing to well and made you something to eat and brought your pain medication.

That was because sapnap was sleeping next to you.

Patches curled up between to two of you and dream brought in something you hadnt seen before.

A roll away bed.

This mother fucker got a whole new bed just so he could sleep in the same room as you and sapnap.

"Sapnap is a heavy sleeper. What if you need something?" He was correct.

You woke up to pain and discomfort.

Dream woke up but sapnap didnt.

You were mainly cold though...

How the hell were you cold with this man radiating radiation the heat of a thousand suns?

No clue. But probably the anesthesia since you were in sapnap room dream just opened the closet and tossed his hoodie to your lap.

You woke up sapnap when you put on the hoodie on accident.

He pushed up against your shoulder a bit more and draped his arm over your lap.

"What's wrong?" Sapnap mumble made you stiffen up. Dream seemed to fall back to sleep too.

"Just a bit cold." He lightly nodded into your neck.

"Mmmmmm. How though."-sapnap

"I dont fuckin know."-(y/n)

He let out a sleep chuckle and seemed to fall asleep again.

You just sat there. Patches and sapnap on you lap technically.

Sapnap woke up and made you breakfast at some point. You were in and out of it due to barely any sleep.

Dream woke up as well. You didnt even know when they left. But patches stayed with you.

Those weeks you were treated the best with these two with extra cuddles from patches.

I didnt know there was a max amount of paragraphs. But hey I guess it's something you find out sooner or later. So there is going to be a part 2. Including some character I missed.

Alright, time for the post that no one asked for! Which ship had more development between Bmblby and Blacksun!

Gonna preface a few things first: I dont particularly ship either ship, so I'm going to do this with as little bias as possible.

This is only over the first 3 volumes, so anything after the fall of Beacon isnt taken into consideration right now.

And the rules are as follows:

First, winking will not be considered. Since people keep saying a wink isnt inherently confirming of a relationship, I'll ignore any winks and judge the scenes based on the content.

Second, scenes will be judged by whether or not you could replace any character and still get the same effect. (the more you can replace, the better in my opinion)

And lastly, since I keep seeing this coming up as well, the only evidence I will consider for absolute confirmation is of any sort of kiss in the first 3 volumes. Although, its going to feel a bit rushed and out of nowhere since the first 3 volumes takes place over 4-6 months at best.

Without further ado... everything will be under the cut.

Starting with Vol 1, after re-watching, there really wasn't any build up to either ship. Which, doesnt surprise me considering that Sun doesnt show up until the end of Vol 1 and the entirety of that volume is centered around introducing the characters, the world in which they live, and just general ideas on what it's like being a huntsman academy. But there are still a few scenes to note in vol 1:

Initiation: Its a quick blur, but you can see Blake rush across the screen once we see Yang walking through the forest. At that point, its safe to assume that Blake had already made her choice on who she wanted, which is further implemented with Blake helping Yang out with an Ursa.

Its safe to assume that between talking with Ruby the night before and seeing hearing how what she thought of Yang didn't quite match her thoughts.

Our next scene comes to Sun and his infamous "slow-mo wink introduction." As per the rules, I'm ignoring the wink and going straight off the content of the scene itself. Which, doesnt leave much. We know he pinpoints Blake as a faunus very quickly and he has some sort of infatuation with her, but the scene alone doesnt give us much.

However, that one does lead into the end of the Vol: Blake runs off from her friends and takes her bow off to finally show us her ears. At which point, Sun comments that he knew she'd look better without it. So that already shows that 1) Sun definitely pinpointed Blake being a faunus early on, and 2) he wanted to talk to her and this provided the right opportunity. Or... so he thought. Especially since the next scene opens up with him half complaining that they've spent 2 days together and all she's done is make small talk.

Which is all pretty on par for Blake. She then spends the next bit talking about her past, how she was pretty much born into the White Fang, stayed with it after it went from peaceful protests to more anger filled, until leaving Adam just a few months ago. After all of this, Sun asks if she's told her friends, to which we can assume she answers no to, you know, since she ran. Overall, it ends up leading Sun into going a bit gung-ho about helping Blake with the White fang.

Overall, Vol 1 did well to start putting together dynamics between Blake and her friends. Sun and Yang both make different impressions on Blake, both of which she ends up seeing as friends... for now.

Vol 2, is a bit of a strange one. Our first introduction to Beacon is Sun basically telling Neptune how cool team RWBY is, emphasizing a bit on Blake. Which does end up bringing us to the meat of the first half of vol 2: Blake worrying over the White Fang. Now, because of this, we dont see any build up between Blake and Sun or Blake and Yang while they go around town to figure out what the White Fang and Torchwick are up to. Sun makes a good point that Blake shouldnt go to the rally alone, and the two pair off while Yang goes to the club with Neptune.

Once the dance arc comes along, that's where things take an interesting turn. Sun immediately asks a sleep deprived Blake to the dance, in probably the most awkward way since he's trying to say the dance is lame, but would be less lame if the two of them went together.

Sun definitely cares about Blake and actively tried to help her calm down a bit. Which, ultimately, she never says no, just that she doesnt have time for a dance. So, I give this one a +1 in points for build up.

Then, we get to the burning the candle speech. Which, a lot of people seem to write off as either pointless or not build up. Personally, it gets a +1 in points on build up for me on this. First, Yang is absolutely worried about her partner, seeing her go down the same path she did when she was much younger. She immediately starts by telling Blake that she doesnt want her to stop, just to slow down and take a breather. And she ultimately makes a strong point: slowing down isnt a luxury, its a necessity.

This also end s up being the first time we see Yang open up and drop the party girl demeanor that she's had. She talks about her mother, someone that she doesnt talk to many people about, and just how much it hurt her to find out that Raven left shortly after she was born.

After an emotionally charged discussion, we finally see the point that Yang had been trying to get Blake to see:

And it finally does work. Blake slows down, takes a rest, and ultimately enjoys herself at the dance. Which, in her own words, she technically goes with Sun.

Overall, the dance arc in general gives great build up to both ships. Which ultimately is the end for the Black Sun build up.

Bmblby doesnt get much more build up in vol 2, the only other notable scene being the campfire where Yang, Blake, and Weiss start opening up a bit more to each other to figure out why each of them are becoming huntresses. Which absolutely gives a bit more foundation to the friendships they have.

Vol 3 ends up having most of the build up between Blake and Yang. The first major scene being after Yang was disqualified for breaking Mercury's leg. When Yang finally asked her team if they trust her, Blake is the only one who doesnt immediately say yes, instead, saying she wants to. Leading us to this face from Yang:

(yes, I know, captions are a bit off, deal with it.)

But Yang ends up being distressed by her own partner saying that she wants to trust, but doesnt yet. Blake ultimately ends up opening up about Adam, telling us how she used to trust him... until accidents started piling up. Eventually, she looks at Yang and asks her to look her in the eye and tell her she didnt do anything wrong. When Yang does, Blake allows herself to trust Yang.

Which then brings us to the biggest piece of buildup between the two: Adam. When Adam shows up, he starts using words like "my darling", hammering in that at one point, the two had something going on. He decides immediately he wants to hurt Blake just like she hurt him by leaving. But what really hammers in Blake's feelings for Yang, is the fear she had on her face when she heard Yang's voice not so far away... and right where Adam can hear her. It doesnt take long for Adam to look down at Blake, notice the fear, and then look in the direction of Yang, ultimately stating that he'll destroy everything Blake loves, starting with her.

Now, I know a lot of people will dismiss that as "it could've been anyone. If Sun had shown up, it would've been the same." And honestly, yes, it would've. This moment here is what solidifies who Blake ultimately cares about. Had it been Sun to come around, no doubt she'd show the same fear. But it wasnt him. Instead, it was Yang, who immediately found Weiss and asked where Blake had gone. And we further see her feelings for Yang cemented by the way she blames herself that Yang got hurt. The way she stays close, gently reaches for Yang's hand, the emotion of the entire scene after they get to safety.

Sun does ultimately care about Blake, and helps out where he can, but at least in vol 3, he had his own priorities of making sure everyone could make it to safety.

TL;DR: Both ships had a bit of build up in vol 2 and 3, although, the build up that Bmblby had outweighs the buildup that Blacksun has. Blake definitely had feelings for both, but ultimately, it took until Adam was a threat for her to realize the feelings that she had for Yang, and even then, she still wasnt entirely sure what they were until later in the series. At this point, the only reason anyone can say that Bmblby has little build up is due to either a higher bar for f/f ships (because, lets face it, everyone takes the wink from vol 1 as absolute confirmation for blacksun because its m/f) or they continue to deny that sometimes, there are multiple ways to show buildup between two people for a relationship and the slowburn route usually takes an emotional route over a physical route. And look, Blake has two hands. Take that as you will.
