Idrc either way and in my experience dreblr has been some of the best about reblogging compared to other fandoms but ya know, just to be aware why you might see reblogs>likes on someone's post

Don't stress about notes or followers, it can be cool to get a lot but not at all something worth worrying over

in s1e17, physical education, abed says that he didnt mind changing for other people because hes comfortable with who he is . a season later, in s2e19, critical film studies, he says instead that he doesnt like change . and now i realize what he really meant when he said that he didnt mind changing .

when i was younger, around 11-12, i would pretend to be other people online . more than five different separate identities in one discord server . because i wanted people to like me more . i made these alt accounts and assigned each one a personality, a different typing style, a reason for joining, a region, and a timezone . and for the most part, they were people who were nicer and just generally likeable . because im not someone who is any of those things . i am not a nice person . i dont even think im a good person . and god i am not likeable . at all .

so i played these characters . most of them only being active for short periods . i would have full back and forth conversations with these alt accounts to sell it . i had these weird insane elaborate plans . a 16 year old former drug user, lives in manitoba, somewhat parental . 13, california, liked minecraft and drawing -- completely different artstyle (and different software) too . etc .

i would let these accounts bake (make them and then not use them) so that it didnt seem suspicious with a brand new account joining the server . then i would spend a week making the account and forming a character to go with it, sometimes asking people to help me out . it was so fucking crazy . i was insane . might still be .

i was such a better person on those different accounts . because i didnt know how to change on the inside, i just started over and over again . different account, new me . like i was experimenting with who i really wanted to be like . formulating the perfect person to act like when i finally decided that i wanted to become a better person .

i gave up eventually obviously . im not a tween anymore . i was a really weird tween . obviously . but i think about it a lot .

honestly i only went back to being myself because it was comfortable . i felt better being a fucking douche . and i still am a douche . im not a good person . i dont think ill ever be a "good person" . what the hell is a good person, anyways . all i know is that im fine with myself like this . even as much as i not-so-secretly hate myself, and deny it out of fear of seeming like an "edgy attention seeking loser" .

its not that abed doesnt mind change, he just doesnt mind changing the persona . he doesnt mind changing the person showing on the outside . a separate identity . but ultimately, he wouldnt ever fundamentally change as a person . because hes fine with who he is, even if other people might not like him for that . and i want to be like him . i want to be someone who is fine with who they are, even if that someone is a socially inept ass who learned tenth grade math at age ten but cant figure out when their own face is making a smile or not .

Autistic Nishiki whose special interest is fashion and not only considers what's trendy but also looks out for fabrics that aren't a sensory nightmare, however sometimes he will force himself to wear something that isn't comfy for appearance's sake, which leaves him more vulnerable to getting overwhelmed and therefore 'emotional' Also means he has his collar popped like Kiryu's for sensory reasons too and slutty reasons, which would once again make me correct in saying if he undid his collar in Kiwami he'd be normal again because if I were constantly experiencing sensory discomfort I too would be fucked up and evil.

Cause like here's the thing, autistic Kiryu and Majima headcanons are more obvious (especially the former), whereas Nishiki probably comes off as the most 'normal'; he can likely maintain eye contact and talk to people 'normally' and not like, go off on some random tangent about a special interest or hyperfixation. And then you remember masking is a thing.

And okay, so I actually think it's unfair a lot of fandom considers him a 'crybaby' right, cause he's cried in situations MOST PEOPLE WOULD RIGHTFULLY CRY OVER! BUT, I can use this to my Autistic Advantage and have this be he actually struggles to regulate his emotions, and considering he's been exposed to the yakuza world since a young age where ANY emotion that isn't 'respectable stoicism' or 'righteous fury and indignation', he's seen as even MORE overly emotional. Hence the need to start masking so early, PLUS having to protect Kiryu who couldn't mask if his life depended on it because he doesn't realise he may HAVE to (speaking from personal experience, Kiryu definitely went his whole life unaware there was anything ""wrong"" with him (for lack of a better word) and had people just like "oh yeah he's just Like That dw bout it" and went on with his life), so Nishiki takes up the mantle of I'm The One Who Knows What We're Doing Lad's desperate to gain acceptance and will change whatever he has to but people still somehow pick up that Something's Off About Him and so they tend to be disdainful or brush him off. It's easy charisma that can win over hostesses and brief encounters with civillians but can't carry across in the yakuza. Kiwami is him trying his DAMNDEST to act neurotypical even at the cost of his own comfort, and the worst part is it's not working

Made peanut-butter-berry-pancakes for the first time, let me share the recipe and the pitfalls with you. These are too good to keep to myself.

Peanut Butter Berry Pancakes 🥞 🍓🫐

What you’ll need:

Pancake Mix

Peanut butter

Milk

The leftover crumbles of berries at the bottom of a frozen bag. You know the ones. You’ve used up the bag on smoothies and now there’s just berry confetti left.

What you’ll do:

Use pancake mix and check how much water it says to add

Forget about the water, we’re using milk. Pour some milk into a bowl and mix it with a dollop of peanut butter. Keep going until it’s at least mostly mixed together. Save your wrists, use a mixer.

Slowly add the pancake mix, because you’re going to have to use slightly less than what it says you should if you were just using water

Huck those berries in there. Still frozen? You betcha

I didn’t take a picture of it in the bowl, here it is on the pan. This is about how mixed in those berries should be.

LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES. That glob of batter up there? TOO BIG. You need to use ITTY BITTY size dollops because these things will cook fast on the outside and slow on the inside. Adult sized pancakes are not gonna fly Orville. Pretend you’re cooking at a very fancy patisserie and are going to sell to upscale millionaires who think tiny food is the only way to be fancy. That’s how small we’re talking. Not $12 for a stack pancakes at a diner. The vibe is $37 for two small pancakes with artisanal jams.

Alternatively you could prebake your flour to remove salmonella concerns and then eat that gooey deliciousness right up. If I die of salmonella show the cops this post because I ate multiples of these and didn’t prebake the flour because I am a Hungry Hungry Fool

Like it was all warm and fluffy and the peanut butter and the berries made the undercooked bits taste like warm filling

DON’T FOLLOW THAT PATH WITHOUT PREBAKING YOUR FLOUR (<- covering my ass and actually giving advice I wish I’d followed before the Racoon Instincts took over)

Because of the PB in these, they’ll cook rapidly on the outside so you want to keep your heat on LOW. Not medium, or low-medium. The lowest you can go.

This batter also doesn’t bubble. You know you can flip it when the edges puff up slightly.

And here’s where I’d put a picture of the successful pancakes I made, but I’m not a food blogger and didn’t think I’d be typing a recipe. I ate the entire batch right in front of the stovetop.

Thinkin about the POTS episode I had at a weed shop once like 5 years ago (well before I knew i had it. I thought i was just dehydrated) in which I passed out in the arms of the cute desk clerk who actually happened to also be an EMT and he knew I was passing out well before I did.

I remember sweating and being embarrassed because of how bad I was struggling to get my sweater off, couldn't stand straight, I was slurring my words and not fully understanding him. Last thing I remember was him deadass leaping over the desk after asking me if I needed to sit down (really hot of him). I'm quite sure he caught me because when I fall I definitely feel it later

It's a super humiliating disability to have but he definitely knew how to make it easier and feel less awful. I was halfway through my sweater when I went down but it was folded next to me and he was holding a cup of water for me until I came to. He was really wholesome and just left the desk and sat with me, tried to make me feel normal about it and distract me from people's wandering eyes and was just really chill. I don't think I was out for more than a few seconds but I definitely would've eaten shit if anyone else was helping me check out. Most people would not in fact jump over the counter to make sure a guy they don't know didn't crack his head open. But he's probably seen horrible things happen to people who didn't have someone there to catch them

I hope he's doing well, I was way too out of it to remember his name but I remember him being really chill and funny, being lighthearted about it to cheer me up. I'd smoke a bowl with him idk. He seemed like such a genuinely good person, didn't go back to his shift until he was sure I'd be okay and even then told me to take my time and call him over if I needed anything (dispensaries are often very particular making sure you're in and out and control the amount of people in there at once). Told me how I should breathe, how I should sit, and it's stuff I do when I have POTS episodes to this day

gender bending characters normalstyle is one thing but it's another level if you're butchifying them because you can take a character with a boring gender (cis man) and give them a really exciting gender like woah how would they react if their gender expression was suddenly Obviously nonconforming rather than the norm? how open are they with their gender expression? you can find out so many new things about a character through this. and also they become 100% hotter
