I've been going through your blog and read your stories and I relate a lot to your posts about harry and tom. And I loved your portrayal of their character in your stories. I've read so many tomarry fics but could never really understand or accept the usual fanon tropes. But reading your stories solidified my fixation on tomarry.

time travel au wherein harry goes back in time and actually does full on try to murder tom. this makes him look insane and naturally tom is immediately obsessed. i love how bold and aggressive harry is in this and the way tom just rolls with it! EclipseWing's tight plotting is a joy to experience and the story hooks you in from the start and takes you on a thoroughly enjoyable ride with harry and tom.

before they convinced you life is war by EclipseWing - Complete

superhero au with meticulous and engaging world building threaded through a rollercoaster plot. i cannot overstate how perfectly our familiar wizarding world is translated into super-powered mutants. they way tom and harry clash and relate to each other is marvellous. the ensemble cast is perfectly done and everything is tied up neatly by the end.

a very enchanting depiction of power bottom voldemort with a hint of him being a masochist as well. voldemort and harry's relationship blooms beautifully, they connect and argue in equal measure and the conclusion is both heart-warming and satisfying.

It's Like This by TwoPenguinsinaBox - WIP

remarkably in character sub voldemort and a very compelling and unique take on voldemort's relationship with his new body that i have not seen before. this fic made me want to do my own take on sub voldemort, so not only was it lovely to read, it was downright inspiring!

Tom Riddle and the Quest for Vulnerability by lejf - Complete

this fic is like a warm balm to me personally. harry is powerful and (mostly) in control. older, and not nearly as morally circumspect as he'd like to be, he falls into bed with a much younger tom in the most deliciously filthy way possible. tom is vulnerable but still very much himself. i re-read this periodically.

Did you read the latest EclipseWing story? Trenches has everything, swapping roles, Harry being a dark lord, Ron and Hermione being his lieutenants, Tom taking over Slytherin

YES I DID, I WAIT FOR ITS UPDATE LIKE im starved; it is such a rare dynamic with Harry being a dark lord. See, before eclipsewings wrote that I was searching for something like that like crazy. Because I have always wanted a Harry who goes dark, and Ron and Hermione follows him through because you bet THEY WOULD. And that also being a tomarry IS like the best thing ever? And it just makes me so happy. The premise is so rare to come across and as always the author somehow made it work so well WHILE THEM BEING IN CHARACTERS. Like harry potter might be a dark lord but he was one for the people, so that his people can have a safe world but he is also dark. And Tom? Chosen one or not he is still Tom.

And the way the author created this world while giving us the past snippets is so lovely. And the way tom and Harry's dynamic evolves is just muah. I would say a lot more but I don't wanna spoil it for anyone😭 BUT I AGREE TRENCHES HAS EVERYTHING. ECLIPSE's writing IS JUST BRILLIANT I SWEAR and people need to read their fics, they are so DAMN good.

Guys, please read trenches if you can — it has, to me, everything. From a believable dark Harry to Ron and Hermione being there for Harry to Harry having his own followers to Tom being the chosen but still being Tom with his ambitions sky high to the trope with Tom being the only one who can see Harry lmao it's perfect and the story is told really well and everything about this fic is lovelyy
