The eldest daughter of Prince Maekar and Dyanna Dayne, Daella Targaryen was likely born at her father's original holding of Summerhall in 199 AC. Her mother died soon after the birth of two younger siblings, Aegon and Rhae. During their early childhood, Rhae gave Aegon a love potion, hoping they would wed instead of he and Daella; suggesting that they may have been betrothed, or at least the match was openly considered.

While it is said that she married and had children, as is mentioned by Maester Aemon on his deathbed, it is unknown who she wed. Considering the time frame and how many of her generation of Targaryens wed into the Stormlands, it has been theorised that she was the unnamed Targaryen who married into House Tarth, making Brienne of Tarth her direct descendant.

This, compounded with George RR Martin's statement that Brienne is descended from Ser Dunk the Tall, has led some to believe that when Daella wed Lord Tarth she may have been pregnant with Dunk's child. However, this is only speculation. Nevertheless, had her possible betrothal with Aegon gone through she would have been Queen upon his selection by the council.

The eldest daughter of Lysandro Rogare, First Magister of Lys and Head of the Rogare banking family, Larra was said to be a great beauty, fluent in five dialects and a great lover of music. Wed to Prince Viserys Targaryen despite being six years his senior, she and many of her brothers joined him in his return to Westeros.

While living in King's Landing, she and her entourage were subject to relentless rumours and conspiracies, with the nobles and small folk alike mistrusting her. She never relinquished her Lysene identity, and many began to accuse her of witchcraft; it was said she saw through the eyes of her pet cats.

Having given Viserys three children during his tenure first as Prince then as Hand of the King, she returned home to Lys, having lost many of her family by the executioner and assassins' blades. She died before Viserys became King, though her firstborn son Aegon and daughter Naerys would go on to be King and Queen of Westeros.
